00:01:16.000 Go to noblegoldinvestments.com.
00:01:21.000 I just got word that I'm being removed from my committees.
00:01:24.000 Some of you will recall last week I brought a bill to remove sanctuary state protection for pedophiles in the state of California, and the Democrats here did not like that.
00:01:32.000 So they cut off my microphone, and I just got word that the Speaker of the State Assembly, who runs the place, has removed me from my committee.
00:01:39.000 But you know what?
00:01:40.000 It's okay.
00:01:41.000 I wear this as a badge of honor.
00:01:42.000 It means I'm doing the right thing.
00:01:44.000 It means I'm looking out for the people of this state and for children who are being victimized by these illegal immigrants.
00:01:50.000 So, bring it on.
00:01:51.000 More to come.
00:01:52.000 Joining us now, that is Bill E.
00:01:54.000 Saley, a California state assemblyman. Bill, what's going on
00:01:57.000 in that?
00:01:58.000 Thank you for joining the show in that clip.
00:02:00.000 Walk us through it.
00:02:01.000 Yeah. So a lot of people think that California is
00:02:05.000 like this lost cause and Republicans shouldn't even try.
00:02:09.000 What I do is I try to bring up issues to put the Democrats on record and expose their radical agenda.
00:02:14.000 One of them is Sanctuary State.
00:02:16.000 So I brought a bill.
00:02:16.000 It was very simple.
00:02:17.000 It said, you know what?
00:02:18.000 Let's roll back Sanctuary State for convicted child sex predators.
00:02:22.000 Can we do that?
00:02:23.000 Can we agree that that is a bad thing?
00:02:25.000 Every single Democrat voted against it.
00:02:29.000 Every single one of them.
00:02:30.000 And they try to say as a procedural vote, whatever, BS.
00:02:33.000 But we got them on record.
00:02:35.000 And I think it's stuff like that, that really exposes them.
00:02:37.000 And so the punishment when you do that, because the Democrats, they're okay with having Republicans there, but they want you to behave.
00:02:44.000 As soon as you start doing stuff like what I do, they retaliate because that's who they are.
00:02:48.000 So yeah, they strip me of my committees.
00:02:50.000 They turn off my microphone all the time up there.
00:02:54.000 They dry up my fundraising.
00:02:55.000 That's what the Democrat Party does up there.
00:02:58.000 So explain the bill you're bringing to the floor in detail.
00:03:01.000 We have some time, so go through the specifics there.
00:03:03.000 Well, this one, this was that one's already dead.
00:03:06.000 It's I'll try to bring it again next year.
00:03:08.000 But the bill was in reaction to a report by Bill Malujan, in which a believe a Colombian illegal immigrant had raped a 12 year old girl in California.
00:03:18.000 He got some sentence of only like five years or something crazy.
00:03:22.000 And he was released onto the street instead of being handed over to ICE for deportation.
00:03:27.000 And the reason he was is because California has sanctuary state policies.
00:03:31.000 It is illegal.
00:03:32.000 for law enforcement, for the sheriff or a police officer to cooperate with ICE and to hand over an
00:03:39.000 illegal immigrant for deportation purposes. So that's why I wrote the bill. I said for people
00:03:44.000 who've been convicted of raping kids, let's roll back sanctuary state. Let's allow law enforcement
00:03:51.000 to deport those people. And every single Democrat refused to support it. Let's play cut 37.
00:03:58.000 I am tired of being interrupted by you.
00:04:00.000 You do not interrupt them.
00:04:02.000 You are- Hold on a second.
00:04:03.000 You do not- I wasn't prepared to address the Chinese Communist Party house today.
00:04:08.000 And you're not addressing them now.
00:04:10.000 I will do my best.
00:04:11.000 You're out of order.
00:04:12.000 You're out of order.
00:04:13.000 You're disparaging the house.
00:04:14.000 I have a question.
00:04:15.000 Did you cut off my microphone on the last round?
00:04:18.000 What is the basis for turning off the microphone?
00:04:20.000 I chose to.
00:04:21.000 Yeah, so you're like the dictator here in this democracy.
00:04:25.000 No.
00:04:25.000 But Madam Chair, I have a question.
00:04:28.000 I'd like to know in that context.
00:04:33.000 My point of order, Mr. Chair, is that you continually interrupt me.
00:04:38.000 You are out of order now.
00:04:40.000 You are now disparaging the chair.
00:04:43.000 You are out of order.
00:04:44.000 I am appealing your ruling.
00:04:44.000 This is not debatable.
00:04:46.000 I am appealing your ruling.
00:04:47.000 You are out of order.
00:04:49.000 I appeal your ruling.
00:04:49.000 We'll do this all day.
00:04:51.000 What is going on in that?
00:04:53.000 They're cutting off your mic.
00:04:54.000 What's going on there?
00:04:55.000 You know, Charlie, what this comes down to, and I hate to say this, they're not used to having a real opposition party up there.
00:05:02.000 And I hate to say it because I'm a Republican.
00:05:04.000 I love being a Republican, but for too long, the party has just been, they basically, they put out strong messages.
00:05:13.000 But they're not willing to actually fight in the legislature.
00:05:16.000 And that's what fighting looks like.
00:05:17.000 It means upsetting them, making them mad and exposing them.
00:05:22.000 And for too long, they've never really had that up in Sacramento.
00:05:24.000 So I'm different.
00:05:25.000 I come from a background of being a prosecutor.
00:05:28.000 I have no interest in being a politician.
00:05:30.000 Frankly, I ran as a way to give back to this great country and the state.
00:05:36.000 And I just looked at the legislature.
00:05:37.000 I go, there has to be better.
00:05:39.000 So I ran, you know, I'll do this for as long as it'll be effective.
00:05:43.000 But, you know, my goal in life is not to be reelected.
00:05:46.000 It's to make a difference.
00:05:48.000 And that's what fighting looks like.
00:05:50.000 And that's what I'm trying to show my colleagues is how to fight.
00:05:53.000 What part of California do you represent?
00:05:55.000 I represent Riverside County, Western Riverside County.
00:05:58.000 I grew up in Corona and it's pretty conservative.
00:06:01.000 I know it well.
00:06:02.000 It's a great spot.
00:06:03.000 There are a fair amount of liberals in Riverside, too, just for the record.
00:06:06.000 But so help me understand that your Democrat colleagues are so uninterested in any sort of bipartisanship, even when it comes to removing sanctuary state protections for people that rape kids, that they're taking California so for granted.
00:06:21.000 Is there any progress for meaningful bipartisanship with your colleagues or is it just pure Soviet one-party rule?
00:06:28.000 I don't believe that they have any interest in actually working with us.
00:06:32.000 When they use the word bipartisanship, they mean if they can get Republicans to support their agenda.
00:06:36.000 And frankly, they're pretty successful at doing that.
00:06:38.000 They get Republicans to support some of their watered down policies.
00:06:42.000 They're never going to support a policy that is conservative or that advances the ball on our side.
00:06:47.000 So I just weighed my colleagues of that illusion.
00:06:51.000 We need to defeat these people at the ballot box.
00:06:53.000 You know, California in the state assembly, we have 80 seats.
00:06:57.000 18 of those are Republican.
00:06:59.000 If we pick up nine seats, we can break the super majority.
00:07:03.000 That is very doable, but you're not going to do that by being Democrat-lite.
00:07:07.000 You have to draw a clear contrast.
00:07:09.000 And where I see our greatest hope of doing that right now, Charlie, is on the issue of parental rights.
00:07:14.000 This is a sleeper issue.
00:07:16.000 It really is.
00:07:17.000 This is an issue that's waking up people and saying, wait a minute, what's going on with the kids?
00:07:21.000 What are they doing at the school?
00:07:23.000 What are they teaching them?
00:07:24.000 And then they're keeping it secret from me?
00:07:25.000 No, I'm not cool with that.
00:07:27.000 So that is an issue where if the party would embrace it, I think you'll see a mass exodus of particularly Latinos out of the Democrat Party and they're ready to come over, but they want to know that we're real and we're going to fight for them.
00:07:40.000 So Bill, Kamala Harris obviously is from your state.
00:07:45.000 What should the national audience know about Kamala Harris that you in Sacramento know that you think deserves more coverage?
00:07:53.000 Who is Kamala Harris?
00:07:55.000 Well, obviously she's incompetent.
00:07:57.000 She's wholly unqualified for the job, but separate and apart.
00:08:00.000 When she was the Attorney General, she oversaw one of the most radical criminal justice reforms in the state of California.
00:08:06.000 She emptied our prisons.
00:08:09.000 We went from having 180,000 prisoners In our prison beds, we're down to 90,000 prisoners.
00:08:16.000 She was there when we passed Prop 47, which basically legalized petty theft, all the shoplifting you're seeing in California, all the drug use got decriminalized, all the homelessness on the street.
00:08:29.000 That's because of Prop 47.
00:08:31.000 And there were other policies at that time, but she oversaw the most radical criminal justice reforms.
00:08:37.000 On the ground, it feels like Californians are starting to wake up.
00:08:39.000 the mass crime you have today in our streets. Just look at California and that's what the future of
00:08:44.000 the United States will be if she's ever elected. On the ground it feels like Californians are
00:08:50.000 starting to wake up. What areas of California are you going to be, obviously your race,
00:08:55.000 do you think are prime for a correction away from one party rule? The Inland Empire, the Riverside.
00:09:02.000 Yes, I agree with that.
00:09:03.000 So we just got a report from the secretary of state voter registration for Republicans
00:09:07.000 increase in every single county in the state of California.
00:09:10.000 We beat Democrats in the voter registration.
00:09:13.000 We still have a long way to go, but the trend is good.
00:09:17.000 And what we're seeing is in the Inland Empire, it's higher than anywhere else in the state.
00:09:22.000 So I think that's where we focus in.
00:09:25.000 I've been working a lot with Rick Grenell and Fix California.
00:09:28.000 He's investing a lot in digital voter registration.
00:09:31.000 So I'm all about it.
00:09:33.000 The party is frankly not doing a lot in that space.
00:09:36.000 So we need someone to focus on voter registration because Once you convert someone from a Democrat to Republican, they're going to vote for a ton of races.
00:09:44.000 So, you know, it's a huge bang for your buck to get someone into the party.
00:09:49.000 But this is important, Charlie.
00:09:50.000 We've got four Republican seats that are open in this next cycle.
00:09:55.000 I need fighters up there with me right now.
00:09:58.000 It's very important.
00:09:59.000 What the Sacramento Swamp does is they try to get rhinos in those seats.
00:10:03.000 So there's about four seats that are really, uh, there are solid Republicans and there's two Republicans running.
00:10:09.000 And so I'm also very focused on, on helping those candidates like Tonesa Odette in Assembly District 1.
00:10:15.000 We have Carl DeMaio running in San Diego.
00:10:18.000 I need fighters up there in Sacramento.
00:10:19.000 Cause then we can change the narrative.
00:10:22.000 Um, cause I need help.
00:10:23.000 I need help to get the message out.
00:10:25.000 Love it.
00:10:25.000 Bill, excellent work.
00:10:27.000 Can you plug your socials so that people know how to support you?
00:10:29.000 Yeah.
00:10:30.000 We're on all the socials, at Bill Asale, E-S-S-A-Y-L-I.
00:10:35.000 Or you could visit our website, FightSacramento.com, if my name's too hard to spell.
00:10:41.000 Yeah, just go to FightSacramento.com.
00:10:43.000 Very good.
00:10:43.000 Bill, thank you so much.
00:10:44.000 Appreciate it.
00:10:45.000 Thank you.
00:10:46.000 Thank you, Charlie.
00:10:49.000 Hey everybody, Charlie Kirk here.
00:10:50.000 Thanks to the team at Hillsdale College, you can now watch an inspiring portrayal of Thomas Jefferson as he reflects on the meaning of the Declaration of Independence in a letter he wrote late in his life.
00:11:01.000 Watch this special short video at charlie4hillsdale.com.
00:11:05.000 Since its founding in 1844, Hillsdale has remained true to its mission of offering the kind of education needed to preserve the blessings of liberty, the blessings that can be traced to the principles of the Declaration signed on July 4th.
00:11:18.000 At a time where the far left rejects the principles of liberty and equality, we must remind ourselves, our children, and our fellow citizens that those principles are the source of America's greatness and a treasure to be preserved.
00:11:30.000 I invite you today to visit charlie4hillsdale.com to watch Hillsdale's educational and inspiring video and you'll receive a free commemorative copy of the Declaration of Independence from my friends at Hillsdale.
00:11:42.000 But don't delay, this is a limited time offer.
00:11:44.000 Go to charlie4hillsdale.com as we forever and always celebrate Independence Day.
00:11:48.000 charlie4hillsdale.com Tyler Boyer is with us, wearing, is that a Milwaukee hat?
00:11:56.000 Or what is that, Tyler?
00:11:57.000 This is the old Milwaukee Braves hat.
00:12:00.000 Milwaukee Braves?
00:12:01.000 Before they moved to Atlanta.
00:12:03.000 Yeah.
00:12:03.000 This is old school.
00:12:05.000 Wait, the Atlanta Braves used to be in Milwaukee?
00:12:07.000 I didn't know that.
00:12:09.000 Yeah.
00:12:10.000 It's the connection.
00:12:10.000 It's the Arizona-Milwaukee.
00:12:12.000 And the Brewers used to do their spring training in Chandler, Arizona.
00:12:16.000 So all three states that we have to win are attached.
00:12:18.000 Well, there you go.
00:12:19.000 Tyler, what is Commit 100?
00:12:21.000 Tell our audience all about it.
00:12:23.000 So commit 100 is the program we launched today for every volunteer to get involved and commit to chase 100 ballots in Arizona, Wisconsin, and we'll be expanding to other states as well.
00:12:35.000 But today it's get on tpaction.com slash commit 100 or just slash 100.
00:12:42.000 And anyone can sign up.
00:12:44.000 Our team will then take that, help people make sure that they have the Turning Point application downloaded, and they'll have assigned to them specific data that's closest to them of people that they need to chase.
00:12:59.000 And our ask is that everyone just commits to chase 100 ballots.
00:13:04.000 That's about 10 ballots per day.
00:13:06.000 That's 10 days of work in Arizona or Wisconsin.
00:13:10.000 You can obviously spread that out over the course of the election month, as the Democrats have created for us.
00:13:18.000 But that is the ask, is talk to 100 people, make sure 100 of these low propensity Republicans remember to vote, that we aid them to vote, that we become the concierge for them to vote.
00:13:32.000 And they get it done and we right now I can tell you Charlie we've already today had hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of people sign up.
00:13:41.000 Our goal is to have thousands of people sign up to commit 100 in Arizona and at least over a thousand people in Wisconsin.
00:13:50.000 This is going to make it way too big to rig.
00:13:53.000 And so we need everybody to go to tpaction.com slash 100.
00:13:56.000 Our team is standing by, they will make assignments of over 100 voters that they'll give you.
00:14:04.000 And if you're interested in coming to Arizona, you can travel to Arizona, you can apply for a hotel, a free hotel to stay in Arizona or Wisconsin in the state in the month of October.
00:14:18.000 Or you can do this remotely.
00:14:19.000 So we'll give you assignments to make calls and send postcards or letters from whatever state you're in.
00:14:27.000 So Tyler, some people are asking, it's an elementary question, what is ballot chasing?
00:14:32.000 Ballot chasing is just the act of identifying the right voters that we need to contact to make sure that they turn out to vote.
00:14:39.000 What the left has been really good at, Charlie, as we've been talking till we're blue in the face about this for the last few years, is that the left is really good at identifying the right voters to go contact and turn out.
00:14:52.000 And so it turns out it's actually a lot harder to commit, convince somebody to change their mind than somebody who's already on your side, but just is a little bit lackadaisical with their voting habits.
00:15:05.000 So on our side, we have a lot of people, Charlie, we've already been out.
00:15:09.000 We have hundreds and hundreds of full-time people who are out in the field.
00:15:12.000 They've been talking to these voters that sometimes forget to vote.
00:15:16.000 And a lot of them love President Trump.
00:15:18.000 They love the conservative movement.
00:15:20.000 Some of them have Trump flags in their garage and hanging off their house.
00:15:24.000 But they didn't vote in 2016 or 2020.
00:15:28.000 It's crazy stuff.
00:15:30.000 Yeah, just really quick.
00:15:31.000 How many voters in Arizona are disengaged that fit our profile that did not vote in 2020?
00:15:39.000 Over a couple hundred thousand.
00:15:40.000 Over a couple hundred thousand?
00:15:43.000 We have close to 200,000 people that are just like low-hanging fruit waiting for us to go out and chase.
00:15:51.000 And why has no one done this before in the past?
00:15:54.000 It's a lot of work, Charlie.
00:15:56.000 As you know, it's been a ton of work to hire people in the right neighborhoods.
00:16:01.000 We've hired full-time people in the proper neighborhoods to chase these people.
00:16:06.000 You got to know them, right?
00:16:07.000 People only trust their neighbors.
00:16:09.000 They don't trust random Joe Schmoes who show up to their door.
00:16:13.000 And so our goal has been Hire people and recruit people in the right neighborhoods, which was what we've strategically done, and then put as many bodies on the ground as humanly possible.
00:16:25.000 We had a lot of people in 2020 who wanted to help President Trump, but they just weren't given enough to do.
00:16:32.000 We are going to ensure that nobody can come out of the 2024 election saying, I didn't have enough to do.
00:16:38.000 Tyler Boyer, thank you so much.
00:16:39.000 Check it out at tpaction.com slash commit 100.
00:16:43.000 Thanks, Charlie.
00:16:47.000 Megan Basham is with us, author of the terrific book, How Evangelical Leaders Traded the Truth for a Leftist Agenda.
00:16:53.000 It's very important.
00:16:54.000 Check it out.
00:16:55.000 Shepherds for Sale by Megan Basham.
00:16:58.000 Megan, first, let's just kind of start off the bat.
00:17:00.000 Some people have been criticizing your wonderful book.
00:17:03.000 What are they saying?
00:17:04.000 And would you like to respond to those criticisms?
00:17:07.000 Sure.
00:17:07.000 Yeah.
00:17:07.000 I mean, most of what it has come down to is people don't like being quoted on what they said.
00:17:13.000 So you've seen a lot of scrambling to go, well, that's not what I meant, or even though the entire thrust of my comments were that Christians need to take up the issue of climate change.
00:17:24.000 I didn't really mean that.
00:17:25.000 And hey, I issued this disclaimer at the very end of my presentation and she did not emphasize the disclaimer.
00:17:31.000 She actually emphasized the bulk of the presentation.
00:17:34.000 So how dare she take us at our word?
00:17:37.000 So most of it has come down to that.
00:17:39.000 And, um, you know, it's to be, it's, it's not to be unexpected.
00:17:42.000 I, I knew that would probably come.
00:17:44.000 It has come.
00:17:45.000 And, um, all I can say is that people do not like to be exposed.
00:17:49.000 So for the audience that is not yet familiar, just quickly summarize your thesis of the book and then please name some of the names of the shepherds who prostituted themselves out for cash.
00:18:00.000 Yeah, so the premise of the book is about how a lot of well-known evangelical leaders and institutions sold out for a leftist agenda for a variety of reasons.
00:18:11.000 One is that they were getting involved with left-wing billionaire funded organizations.
00:18:16.000 So we're talking about secular atheists like George Soros, guys like Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg.
00:18:22.000 So people who are not Christians were funneling money into these evangelical institutions to push them to the left on a variety of policies like climate change, like lax border policies.
00:18:36.000 They convinced them to take stands against things like Trump's remain in Mexico policy.
00:18:42.000 So that is one part of it.
00:18:43.000 And then another part of it is how basically to solicit media and favor from the secular elite world, they moderated their stances where the Bible is crystal clear, like issues like transgenderism and what a man and a woman is.
00:19:01.000 One of the people that I highlight in this book is a well-known pastor named J.D.
00:19:05.000 Greer, who was the president of the Southern Baptist Convention for several years, who Advocated something called pronoun hospitality.
00:19:12.000 So, you know, he's one of the guys who's not very happy that I have highlighted that, but these are his words.
00:19:18.000 It is what he said.
00:19:19.000 And when I had interviewed him about it at the time, he doubled down on it.
00:19:23.000 So that's really what the book is about.
00:19:25.000 But then another part of it is very important to the election happening right now, because that is about how some of these evangelical leaders, we saw it in 2020, elevated Democratic operatives and suggested that They were sincere Christians seeking to live out their faith in the halls of political power.
00:19:45.000 People like a guy named Michael Ware, who came out of the Obama administration and was an architect of evangelicals for Biden.
00:19:53.000 And they were very successful.
00:19:55.000 You saw organizations like Christianity Today, the Gospel Coalition, really highlighting his work, endorsing him, praising him.
00:20:04.000 So you fast forward to what's happening right now, and they're doing the same thing again with Harris.
00:20:08.000 So, at its base, so much of this is politically motivated, and you see these same figures at Christianity Today taking a lot of money from hard-left secular foundations to do things like pump political Bible studies into churches and onto Christian college campuses in order to sway the vote to the left.
00:20:28.000 So yeah, there's just so much there, and you've named some of the names.
00:20:34.000 So these are people that call themselves pastors.
00:20:36.000 It's bad enough that they're embracing left-wing politics, but they're also doing it for cash from the worst people.
00:20:45.000 I mean, the vermin of society, that they're not Christians.
00:20:49.000 They actually have really bitterness towards Christianity.
00:20:55.000 Alright, I need to tell you guys about StrongCell.

00:22:45.000 Check it out right now.
00:22:49.000 First, why are liberal secular activists funding pastors?
00:22:55.000 I think that's an easy question to answer.
00:22:57.000 The harder question is, why are people who call themselves pastors receiving it?
00:23:01.000 Well, you know, the liberal secular foundations, to give you one example, George Soros' Open Society Foundation, I lay out in the book memos where they explain explicitly why they're doing it.
00:23:13.000 They recognized about 10 years ago that Their policy preferences kept continually running into the same roadblock, and that was evangelical voters.
00:23:22.000 They represent roughly 30% of the American electorate, they're overwhelmingly conservative, and guys like Soros realized they were not going to be able to get their agenda advanced if they didn't find a way to deal with those voters.
00:23:36.000 So what they came up with was what you could essentially call AstroTurf campaigns.
00:23:41.000 They started to help fund evangelical front groups, And steer money into them so that people that they named evangelical influencers would then subtly take these more left-wing positions publicly.
00:23:55.000 And their hope was that these views, these left-wing views, would then trickle down to the pews and really disarm the strength of that evangelical electorate.
00:24:04.000 So that's why they did it as to why the pastors have been doing it.
00:24:08.000 Well, one, I think they like to curry favor with these elite international power brokers.
00:24:15.000 Suddenly, they're in a new class of people.
00:24:18.000 They're hanging out with the WEF.
00:24:20.000 They're being invited to Davos.
00:24:21.000 Those things aren't so surprising that they find that a little bit appealing.
00:24:26.000 And then the other part of it is, is I do think in some sense, the leadership class is far more liberal than the rank and file anyway.
00:24:34.000 So they were a lot easier to co-opt in this way.
00:24:37.000 And that's why they've been infiltrating them.
00:24:40.000 And I can give you just one example.
00:24:42.000 You said, These organizations are in no way Christian.
00:24:45.000 No, they're not.
00:24:46.000 And just one huge example that is really important right now is this group called The After Party.
00:24:52.000 So it's led by David French, New York Times columnist, who says he's a Christian, but as we know, he just endorsed Kamala Harris, and Russell Moore, editor-in-chief at Christianity Today, a confirmed never-Trumper.
00:25:05.000 Well, they developed this political Bible study.
00:25:09.000 They say it's nonpartisan, but all three men behind it are Confirmed never Trumpers and two of them now are openly saying, Curtis Chang and David French, that they're voting for Kamala Harris.
00:25:20.000 And so this political Bible study received its funding exclusively from hard left secular foundations like Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors and the Hewlett Foundation.
00:25:31.000 Both of these organizations are the kind of groups that also support ensuring that, and I'm going to use their terminology, that youth, Have access to gender-affirming care.
00:25:41.000 So we understand what that means.
00:25:43.000 They're trying to ensure that kids can be mutilated with puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, surgeries, and there are also rabid abortion proponents.
00:25:54.000 So Hewlett Foundation is the second largest funder of Planned Parenthood in the country.
00:25:59.000 So you have to ask yourself, why would any Christian organization be taking money from people like that?
00:26:05.000 And what they're in turn doing is they have developed this political Bible study.
00:26:09.000 It's going into conservative churches, not left-wing churches, but I'm seeing it at unwary, maybe unthinking conservative churches and the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities, which represents 185 member schools.
00:26:24.000 Including conservative schools like Asusa and Biola.
00:26:28.000 They have been promoting this on their campuses.
00:26:31.000 Well, Biola's not conservative and they haven't been for quite some time.
00:26:34.000 They got Ed Stutzer running their seminary there.
00:26:35.000 But they have that branding and I think that's what's so confusing to people is they have that branding and an unwary parent who's not paying attention doesn't realize that they're partnering with these kind of people.
00:26:47.000 Yeah, I think I actually met David Hogue, who's in charge of the Christian—it's interesting—Council for Christian Universities and Colleges.
00:26:56.000 I'm going to reach out to him because he seems like a really sweet guy.
00:26:59.000 I don't think he might be aware of that.
00:27:00.000 Well, and let me just say, there was a change of leadership there.
00:27:03.000 Yeah, he's the new guy, so hopefully he shakes it up.
00:27:08.000 Maybe it was part of that.
00:27:10.000 So this is not surprising to me, but for many people in our audience that go to some of these weak churches with these weak pastors, They don't quite understand this.
00:27:20.000 You've done some amazing work exposing it and they don't like actually learning that.
00:27:25.000 They don't like that people are learning about their own cash flows and how they're doing this to get rich while they do things that are super unbiblical.
00:27:36.000 Can you comment on the 50 black pastors that came out in support of Kamala?
00:27:45.000 In addition, Christianity Today, Christianity Today pushing Kamala Harris.
00:27:50.000 Yeah, okay.
00:27:51.000 So, as I mentioned, that after-party curriculum which Christianity Today editor-in-chief Russell Moore helped develop, Um, they are taking that hard left secular funding.
00:28:02.000 And then in addition to that, you suddenly see Christianity Today running articles about how, um, all of these black pastors find Kamala's candidacy so very inspiring.
00:28:14.000 And when you looked at the, um, the layout and the article that Christianity Today ran, it was overwhelmingly positive.
00:28:21.000 And this was just in the last couple of weeks.
00:28:23.000 It was a picture of her in a church, uh, with pastors looking like, um, A serious Christian, which of course her beliefs would completely undermine that.
00:28:33.000 But that was the portrayal that they had in this image.
00:28:36.000 And the first two-thirds of the article are about how inspiring they find her Christian faith, specifically.
00:28:44.000 And at one point, you know, they barely touched on abortion, almost kind of made an excuse for it and then moved on.
00:28:50.000 So when you look at that, and then you know that also this week, the Evangelicals for Harris group, Just kind of put out their first announcement that they're going to be having a speaking engagement, and one of their speakers is the chairman of the board of Christianity Today, a guy named Claude Alexander.
00:29:07.000 Where are they having that speaking?
00:29:08.000 I would love to show up and see if they'll take questions.
00:29:11.000 Maybe I have to look that up.
00:29:12.000 I'm not on their list.
00:29:16.000 Evangelicals for Harris.
00:29:17.000 You're not?
00:29:18.000 No, I'm not on that one.
00:29:20.000 These people are so disgusting.
00:29:21.000 I'm sorry.
00:29:21.000 Like, again, I'm not one to... What is his name, by the way, the guy that's running it?
00:29:26.000 Claude Alexander.
00:29:28.000 Chairman of the Board of Christianity Today is one of the Evangelical for Harris speakers.
00:29:32.000 I'll let everyone make their own determinations on that.
00:29:35.000 So Megan, if you were to list the chief offenders of people that are doing sinister political advocacy in God's name, which I believe is a violation of thou shall not take the Lord's name in vain, to carry the Lord's name, to do sinister political agendas in the name of God, who would be the chief offenders?
00:29:57.000 Russell Moore?
00:29:58.000 David French?
00:30:00.000 You know, I feel like David French is so transparently on the left now that it's actually been something of a blessing because so many of us who were warning about him for so long can now kind of go, you see?
00:30:11.000 And people are like, oh yeah, okay, we see now.
00:30:13.000 Like, it was so bad when he came out and endorsed Kamala Harris last week.
00:30:18.000 But yes, Russell Moore, Christianity Today editor-in-chief, I think he has been a subversive agent for years and years.
00:30:26.000 Danny Akin, people who may not know who he is, but he is the president Of one of the largest seminaries in the country, Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
00:30:35.000 His seminary was heavily involved in pushing CRT and pushing sort of DEI initiatives.
00:30:43.000 He was also heavily involved in bringing in climate change activism into the largest Protestant denomination in the US.
00:30:51.000 That's the Southern Baptist Convention.
00:30:53.000 So he would be one.
00:30:54.000 I think J.D.
00:30:55.000 Greer is another.
00:30:56.000 And I think part of the reason he's angry is because I sort of detailed his record.
00:31:00.000 And he's trying to say, well, OK, but here's why I did that, because I think people realize that.
00:31:06.000 The smoke screen is clearing and people are seeing what's really been going on.
00:31:10.000 So there's this rush to move to the other side of the Overton window, which is the biblical side of the Overton window.
00:31:16.000 Now that people are starting to realize, hey, all this stuff we were doing for those years, that was actually not biblical.
00:31:21.000 That was man-made legalism.
00:31:23.000 And I think a lot of people are realizing that now.
00:31:26.000 And, you know, when we talk about what's going on with the election, I hope that someone like you, who has a line into the Trump campaign, is letting them know that they cannot ignore what's happening with evangelicals.
00:31:39.000 Because this same, really, you have to call it kind of an astroturf operation that was run in 2020, where they did this Evangelicals for Biden, and you saw these well-known evangelical leaders and media outlets promoting Joe Biden's supposedly sincere Catholic faith.
00:31:59.000 Even though he took all of these stances diametrically opposed to biblical ethics and morality, there's been a lot of analysis showing that just enough evangelical votes in some states moved and that they may have given I mean, that's why we did our Believers Summit, and I've been telling the Trump team—and they've been open to it—I think that you can't take the evangelical cohort for granted, because there's so much money that is coming in, and there is this weak, unbiblical Christian agenda that is trying—and you say it perfectly—subvert the Word of God, subvert the mission of the Church.
00:32:41.000 Yeah, and it has been going on for years, and I think really just in the last few years have the rank and file gotten to a place where we've gone, we're not going to be gaslit anymore on the unbiblical, Politicking that has been going on.
00:32:56.000 And so now that it's being called out, you're seeing a rush to say, no, we didn't do that.
00:33:00.000 But their words are there in black and white.
00:33:02.000 And more than their words, the IRS 990s are there in black and white.
00:33:07.000 You cannot deny that your organizations, your evangelical organizations, if you are at the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission, the Evangelical Environmental Network, the Evangelical Immigration Table, the fact that you took money from people like Buddhist eBay founder Pierre Omidyar is in black and white.
00:33:24.000 The fact that you took money from George Soros is in black and white.
00:33:28.000 We know that you are partnering with people who have no interest whatsoever in building up the kingdom of God, and you have been selling out your platforms, your pulpits, and your influence in order to give those people access to your sheep, and there needs to be a reckoning for that.
00:33:45.000 Megan, people can buy your book, purchase your book, final call to action for the audience.
00:33:49.000 Should they continue to go to churches that are led by these types of shepherds?
00:33:52.000 No, you need to get out of those churches.
00:33:54.000 And by the way, the book is now a New York Times bestseller, so help us keep getting the word out, because that does help.
00:33:59.000 But no, you do need to be in church, and I want to say that.
00:34:03.000 If you are in one of these churches where your pastor has been using Megan Basham, excellent work.
00:34:09.000 order to promote progressive politics. No, you absolutely need to get out of those churches,
00:34:14.000 but it doesn't mean stop going to church. Find yourself a faithful church because the body of
00:34:19.000 Christ needs to be built up with all of us faithfully involved in local congregations.
00:34:24.000 So that's probably my biggest word. Nobody here wants to tear down the church or see people stop
00:34:29.000 going. We need a strong, healthy church in America. Megan Basham, excellent work. Thank you so much.
00:34:34.000 Thanks for having me.
00:34:35.000 Thanks so much for listening everybody.
