00:00:00.000 Hey everybody, today the Charlie Kirk show.

00:00:43.000 I want you to know we are lucky to have Charlie Kirk.

00:00:46.000 Charlie Kirk's running the White House, folks.

00:00:54.000 He's done an amazing job building one of the most powerful youth organizations ever created, Turning Point USA.

00:01:00.000 We will not embrace the ideas that have destroyed countries, destroyed lives, and we are going to fight for freedom on campuses across the country.

00:01:09.000 That's why we are here.

00:01:12.000 Brought to you by the Loan Experts I Trust, Andrew and Todd at Sierra Pacific Mortgage at andrewandTodd.com.

00:01:21.000 Machiavelli wrote, It is much safer to be feared than loved because love is preserved by the link of obligation, which, owing to the baseness of men, is broken at every opportunity for their advantage.

00:01:34.000 But fear preserves you by a dread of punishment which never fails.

00:01:40.000 What we're about to talk about here is an uncomfortable truth for many conservatives.

00:01:45.000 It's something that many people do not like to say out loud, which is only one side is playing ball right now.

00:01:52.000 We're playing ping pong, and the left is playing rugby.

00:01:56.000 They're playing for keeps.

00:01:58.000 We're playing checkers.

00:01:59.000 They're playing chess.

00:02:02.000 Last night, there was an announcement from Washington Post that they are going to indict Steve Bannon for the very same charges that he was pardoned for a couple years ago.

00:02:16.000 So they raid James O'Keefe's apartment.

00:02:19.000 They raid Rudy Giuliani's apartment.

00:02:21.000 They go after a diary.

00:02:23.000 Why is that the FBI's business?

00:02:24.000 They raid Mar-a-Lago.

00:02:26.000 They indict Peter Navarro.

00:02:28.000 They've indicted and convicted Steve Bannon for different charges.

00:02:31.000 They go after Roger Stone.

00:02:33.000 They go after Michael Flynn.

00:02:35.000 They go after Dinesh D'Souza.

00:02:37.000 When are we going to wake up and realize that only one side is using political power in this country?

00:02:41.000 This will not change with outrage.

00:02:44.000 It won't.

00:02:45.000 It won't change with op-eds and us saying, we need to reform the FBI.

00:02:51.000 We need to have a discussion about this.

00:02:54.000 This only changes when the left starts to fear that they will be in handcuffs for their crimes.

00:03:00.000 Let me be very clear.

00:03:01.000 I don't think we should do what the Democrats are doing, where they say, show me the man, I'll show you the crime.

00:03:05.000 This is how they do it.

00:03:06.000 This is how corrupt these people are because all they care about is power.

00:03:10.000 Their Bible is the Prince by Machiavelli.

00:03:12.000 It is their gospel.

00:03:13.000 It is their North Star.

00:03:15.000 If you are not familiar with The Prince by Machiavelli, go pick up a copy and read it.

00:03:20.000 Study it.

00:03:20.000 You want to know where the left gets their game plan from?

00:03:24.000 Machiavelli was the beginning of the Enlightenment, the beginning of modernity.

00:03:29.000 He said, oh, let's get away with all this Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, Augustine guys, all these ideas of biblical principles.

00:03:37.000 We know what we want.

00:03:38.000 Why don't we just go get it?

00:03:40.000 That is the best way to sum up Machiavelli.

00:03:43.000 We know what we want.

00:03:45.000 Why don't we just go get it?

00:03:47.000 That's the best summary of Machiavelli.

00:03:49.000 We need to break ourselves of the shackles of antiquity, of all this kind of moral restraint and wisdom and checks and balances and separation of powers and all these things.

00:04:00.000 Let's just go get what we want.

00:04:03.000 Machiavelli wrote, and he was actually a counselor to the king of warring Italian families.

00:04:10.000 He wrote, since love and fear can hardly exist together, if we must choose between them, it is safer to be feared than loved.

00:04:16.000 Machiavelli was actually counseling warring families in Italy.

00:04:22.000 How do you take political power?

00:04:24.000 How are you in charge?

00:04:25.000 And it has now seeped down to the modus operandi of the entire American left.

00:04:31.000 So here's the way it works: they're going to keep on indicting people, Steve Bannon, they're going to try to kick people off the chessboard.

00:04:39.000 They're going to pick us off one by one.

00:04:41.000 And yes, I say us.

00:04:42.000 They're going to come after every organization, every single person, until we get a Republican Party, until we get Republican attorney generals, yes, on the state level, to actually start to play ball.

00:04:55.000 They have to fear that there is an equal and opposite reaction when they start to go after people that have done nothing wrong.

00:05:04.000 And I'm not even getting into whether or not Steve Bannon did something wrong or not.

00:05:07.000 I don't know.

00:05:08.000 I didn't look in the details.

00:05:09.000 I don't care.

00:05:10.000 What I do know is that you show me the man, I'll show you the crime.

00:05:13.000 And the more laws, the less justice, as Cicero would say.

00:05:17.000 The more voluminous the laws, the less justice there will be, as James Madison would say.

00:05:23.000 So where we are in America today is a power struggle.

00:05:26.000 Conservatives don't like hearing this.

00:05:29.000 You see, when you go to most conservative circles, they say, well, what we need is we're going to win by better arguments.

00:05:36.000 We're going to win with a debate and a dialogue and a discussion.

00:05:40.000 I wish that was the case.

00:05:43.000 I yearn for that America.

00:05:44.000 I wish for that America.

00:05:45.000 I pray for that America.

00:05:47.000 But I'm also not going to live under the delusions of grandeur that somehow we're all in a coffee shop and we get along.

00:05:56.000 How many more conservatives do they have to indict? 0.50

00:06:00.000 How many more America First Nationalist patriots do they have to go after before we realize what time is it?

00:06:08.000 What time is it?

00:06:09.000 They do this for sport.

00:06:11.000 This is not Ronald Reagan's America anymore.

00:06:13.000 So you might say, well, Charlie, what is the response?

00:06:16.000 What is the game plan?

00:06:17.000 We said this a couple weeks ago on the program because we predicted all of these actions.

00:06:21.000 We predicted this movement because we know the left.

00:06:23.000 We've read the Prince.

00:06:24.000 We deal with the left every single day.

00:06:27.000 We said Republican attorney generals have to start indicting the criminals on the left.

00:06:31.000 You might say, well, what criminals are they?

00:06:34.000 Good one.

00:06:34.000 Yeah.

00:06:35.000 Show me a leftist.

00:06:36.000 Any one of them.

00:06:38.000 Hunter Biden.

00:06:39.000 How many Republican state attorney generals have open probes into the crimes of Hunter Biden?

00:06:44.000 Like the Republican Attorney General of Arkansas?

00:06:47.000 How about has any Republican attorney general indicted anyone from BLM for the rioting, for the movement of people across state lines, for the lying to donors?

00:06:58.000 You know, that's why they're indicting Steve Bannon, by the way.

00:07:00.000 They're indicting Steve Bannon allegedly for lying to donors about some build the wall campaign.

00:07:05.000 Very bizarre indictment.

00:07:07.000 Okay, how many shady left-wing organizations are doing activities like that?

00:07:12.000 Have Republican attorney generals done any of it?

00:07:14.000 You see, all the left understands, all the collectivists understand is not debate, it's not dialogue, it's not a discussion of ideas, it's not a marketplace of principles.

00:07:28.000 No, it's none of that stuff.

00:07:29.000 That country is over everybody.

00:07:32.000 It is power.

00:07:34.000 They will not stop.

00:07:35.000 They will come to your door with an IRS agent.

00:07:38.000 But if they realize there's a cost to doing insane things, if they realize there's a cost to doing something that is extraordinary, then they're going to start to back off.

00:07:51.000 That's the only way you deal with these people.

00:07:53.000 And by the way, I'm not calling for something that is out of the rules of ordinary.

00:07:59.000 I'm just calling a Republican attorney general to have the courage to go indict the darling of the left, one of the people in the orbit of BLM that so obviously broke one state law in some red state when that one guy paid himself $10 million in consulting fees.

00:08:16.000 I mean, the things that are coming out against BLM is extraordinary.

00:08:19.000 So, okay, they indict Steve Bannon for allegedly scamming people on some build the wall scheme, which is just such a beyond shaky argument, beyond fragile.

00:08:31.000 And we do nothing when BLM raises somewhere between $80 to $100 million in just one organization and they start paying baby mamas and all sorts of people and brothers and security firms.

00:08:44.000 Activists accuse BLM Foundation leader of siphoning $10 million in donations.

00:08:50.000 Lawsuit says.

00:08:52.000 Black Lives Matter, quote, on-the-ground activism organization is suing the BLM Global Network Foundation.

00:08:58.000 Why is it Republican attorney generals then find this out?

00:09:01.000 Why do you have to have the black, the BLM groups all suing each other? 1.00

00:09:04.000 Where are the Republican attorney generals doing this?

00:09:08.000 They're not playing ball, guys.

00:09:09.000 I'm sorry.

00:09:10.000 You're just not.

00:09:11.000 And I know a lot of these AGs, and I've been asking them, are you looking at this?

00:09:14.000 Oh, well, we can't talk about ongoing investigation.

00:09:16.000 Waste of time.

00:09:18.000 You're leaving the conservative movement on an island to get picked off one by one.

00:09:23.000 Can we have some air support so the criminals on the left can start to go to jail?

00:09:27.000 The BLM Global Network leader, Shalamaya Bowers, is accused of siphoning $10 million from a fund meant to support BLM organizing.

00:09:37.000 So Shalamaya is being accused by other BLM leaders of siphoning $10 million.

00:09:44.000 The lawsuit represents another high-profile display of infighting at the organization that led to the BLM movement in 2020.

00:09:50.000 They're suing themselves, and we can't bring our side to indict them or investigate them for this stuff.

00:09:56.000 No, but they have civil lawsuits. 0.71

00:10:02.000 Right now, Bank of America has just lowered its 2022 forecast for the SP 500 by a whopping 900 points to 3,600.

00:10:11.000 Saying we're headed for a recession this year, it said the new year target is the lowest on the street.

00:10:16.000 This is not good news for those of you stuck in equities or anything tied to stock markets.

00:10:21.000 I know thousands of people who have put their trust in Noble Gold to prevent losing money and the financial storm that is brewing.

00:10:50.000 Call the team now at 877-646-5347 to find out more or visit noblegoldinvestments.com.

00:10:55.000 That is noblegoldinvestments.com.

00:11:00.000 They are trying to disassemble the MAGA movement, take apart the entire movement piece by piece, bit by bit, through these sorts of petty indictments.

00:11:11.000 Indict Bannon in New York, keep Navarro off the sidelines.

00:11:16.000 We go and raid James O'Keefe's apartment.

00:11:18.000 We go raid Rudy Giuliani's apartment.

00:11:21.000 Meanwhile, James Comey, Peter Strzok, Andy McCabe, Lisa Page, Bruce and Nelly or Mark Elias, all of them continue to get cable television contributorships.

00:11:34.000 They do whatever they want.

00:11:36.000 BLM untouched. 1.00

00:11:38.000 So BLM, not to mention Hillary Clinton, obviously, and all these other people. 0.89

00:11:43.000 BLM is currently in the middle of a lawsuit amongst members, alleging that $10 million was siphoned away.

00:11:55.000 You think that would be something pretty important for Republican attorney generals to look into?

00:12:00.000 Now, I know some Republican attorney generals are suing civilly.

00:12:04.000 No, no, we need criminal subpoenas immediately.

00:12:07.000 Do you think that they're suing Steve Bannon civilly in New York?

00:12:10.000 Now, again, the way I'm talking, a lot of conservatives don't like this, and I want your thoughts: freedom at charliekirk.com.

00:12:16.000 Conservatives don't like talking about this because they get really anxious and they get uneasy, right, Connor?

00:12:21.000 They're like, I need to go take a shower.

00:12:22.000 I don't like this.

00:12:23.000 You know why?

00:12:24.000 Because we're talking about the use of political power.

00:12:28.000 This is why Churchill and Lincoln are two North stars for us.

00:12:33.000 Churchill, we have a picture of Churchill right here, and we got Lincoln.

00:12:36.000 I don't think we have Lincoln up.

00:12:37.000 We should.

00:12:38.000 Churchill did not love using political power, but he knew it was necessary at a certain time to defeat a greater political power at the time.

00:12:48.000 Same with Lincoln.

00:12:49.000 It is an uncomfortable truth that some conservatives do not like admitting, which is your moral grandstanding gets you nowhere when you are up against evil.

00:13:01.000 Stop lecturing me about how you're going to take, we're going to take the high road.

00:13:05.000 What is the high road? 0.98

00:13:06.000 To be a coward?

00:13:08.000 Where's justice? 0.89

00:13:09.000 Are you going to investigate the crimes of the opposition?

00:13:12.000 Or are you going to act as if I'm an attorney?

00:13:15.000 I'm the AG of the state, otherwise known as the aspiring governor.

00:13:19.000 And of course, there's some great attorney generals.

00:13:21.000 Ken Paxton is great.

00:13:22.000 Jeff Landry in Louisiana is great.

00:13:25.000 But why are they not indicting left-wing criminals?

00:13:28.000 Where is the action?

00:13:29.000 Where does the rubber meet the road?

00:13:31.000 And by the way, this is only stuff that we know publicly available.

00:13:34.000 Could you imagine the crimes that would be revealed with proper investigations?

00:13:40.000 Well, this makes me very uncomfortable, Charlie.

00:13:44.000 I don't know if I like this.

00:13:45.000 It makes me very uncomfortable.

00:13:48.000 I don't know if I like to admit.

00:13:51.000 How many more people do they have to go investigate, go and prosecute and indict?

00:13:56.000 Where's the line?

00:13:57.000 And by the way, a lot of conservatives are going to remain quiet on the Steve Bannon indictment because a lot of establishment Republicans hate Steve Bannon.

00:14:04.000 They hate the power that the war room has.

00:14:06.000 They hate the power that they have there.

00:14:08.000 Same thing that they're going to do with Navarro.

00:14:10.000 They don't like Peter Navarro, so they just kind of throw him away.

00:14:14.000 And these people know nothing of the power of the Leviathan.

00:14:19.000 There's a phenomenal book by Arthur Kessler called Darkness at Noon, where it talks about a party official by the name of Rubyshov, who was actually one of the architects of the Stalinist-type state.

00:14:33.000 And the whole book is about how the very same party that he helped create, the very same regime that he helped put together, then go indicts him, raids his apartment, and puts him on a show trial.

00:14:44.000 Be very careful thinking you are exempt from all of this.

00:14:48.000 Be very careful thinking that, oh, yeah, you know, they're not going to come for me.

00:14:53.000 When they indict Donald Trump, is that going to wake people up?

00:14:56.000 Where's the crossing of your Rubicon?

00:14:58.000 We said it as soon as they did the Mar-a-Lago raid.

00:15:01.000 We said, wake up, everybody.

00:15:03.000 It's happening.

00:15:05.000 So now they're going after Steve Bannon.

00:15:07.000 Who's next?

00:15:08.000 Who's going to be next on their list?

00:15:10.000 And they will not stop until there's an equal and opposite reaction.

00:15:14.000 There is no other way.

00:15:14.000 I've heard every other option.

00:15:16.000 You know, I sit down with some of these leaders.

00:15:17.000 I say, well, what's the solution?

00:15:19.000 And they say, well, we have to win in November.

00:15:20.000 Oh, I totally agree.

00:15:21.000 Win in November.

00:15:22.000 No, what's going to stop them from using the Department of Justice as their personal vendetta operation against political opponents they don't like?

00:15:30.000 And they say, well, you know, just kind of, we got to win over Congress.

00:15:34.000 Oh, right.

00:15:35.000 Got to win over Congress.

00:15:36.000 I agree with all of that.

00:15:38.000 How about we use political power that we already have to make them fear us?

00:15:43.000 Go read their Bible, The Prince.

00:15:46.000 It says it very clearly.

00:15:48.000 You know what the problem with Republicans are?

00:15:50.000 One of the problems?

00:15:52.000 We're trying to make Democrats love us.

00:15:55.000 And Machiavelli laughs at that proposition. 0.98

00:15:58.000 Machiavelli thinks that's foolish.

00:16:01.000 Since love and fear can hardly exist together, if we must choose between them, it is far safer to be feared than loved.

00:16:08.000 I want a conservative movement that is strong enough where the left fears us.

00:16:14.000 I do not seek the love of the left.

00:16:19.000 Look, let me tell you, the worldwide food crisis is making headlines again.

00:16:23.000 Just recently, Business Insider said we're in a global food crisis that will wreak havoc on local economies and possibly trigger civil unrest.

00:16:31.000 They also said food shortages have led to civil unrest in the past with deadly consequences.

00:16:36.000 Remember, you are nine meals away from anarchy.

00:16:39.000 That's right, nine meals away from anarchy.

00:16:41.000 If not now, to get prepared, then when?

00:16:44.000 Well, it's time to get emergency food with preparewithkirk.com.

00:17:23.000 Check it out.

00:17:23.000 Preparewithkirk.com.

00:17:28.000 Some people are asking to say, how can Steve Bannon be indicted for something that he was pardoned for?

00:17:33.000 This is the state of New York.

00:17:35.000 Donald Trump's pardon only applies to the Department of Justice.

00:17:40.000 Now, it could be a double jeopardy thing, but it's unclear whether or not a federal pardon applies to state crimes or state charges.

00:17:52.000 And precedent shows us that it does not.

00:17:55.000 But it'll have to be up for some judge to interpret that and the power of a presidential pardon when it comes to state crimes.

00:18:02.000 State crimes versus federal crimes.

00:18:05.000 Now, Paul Manafort, I think, was able to release himself from state charges recently under a presidential pardon, but it's because of this happened before Bannon went to trial that they might be able to re-indict him.

00:18:25.000 Details, not the most important part.

00:18:29.000 Most important thing is that they're trying to take every single one of us off the chessboard.

00:18:33.000 One of the great patriots of the West is with us right now, Nigel Farage, to discuss the new prime minister of the United Kingdom, of which I know nothing about, so he'll educate all of us.

00:18:45.000 Nigel, welcome back to the program.

00:18:47.000 Johnny, very good to see you.

00:18:49.000 And by the way, if you don't know anything about Liz Truss, you're not on your own.

00:18:53.000 The British public until a few weeks ago knew very little about her either.

00:18:58.000 She's been a cabinet minister for eight years, held a range of quite important jobs, but she's literally appeared out of left field.

00:19:08.000 This is now the fourth conservative prime minister in six years, which tells you two things.

00:19:14.000 Number one, the party is a complete shambles.

00:19:17.000 Number two, the British system needs modernizing and updating.

00:19:22.000 And, you know, let's see.

00:19:25.000 Today was her real debut in the House of Commons, the famous Prime Minister's Questions, which people all over the world watch.

00:19:32.000 It's a gladiatorial sporting contest.

00:19:36.000 I have to say, if I'm being honest, I was pleasantly surprised.

00:19:40.000 She defended the concept of low taxes, of hard work being rewarded.

00:19:47.000 She said we can't tax our way to growth.

00:19:51.000 And there was an echo in my mind from when I was in my mid-20s.

00:19:56.000 The last Conservative leader that spoke like that was Margaret Thatcher.

00:20:01.000 It could be, despite 12 years of so-called Conservative rule in Britain, truth is we've had 12 years of social democracy in Britain.

00:20:10.000 Maybe, inexperienced though she is, maybe we've finally actually got a Conservative that believes in free markets, believes in the profit motive. 0.96

00:20:20.000 It was, I think, to be fair, a good start.

00:20:24.000 So let me ask you, Nigel, in America, we call the insidious forces the deep state or the shadow government.

00:20:30.000 I believe the United Kingdom has something very similar, the kind of the inner workings of the bureaucracy.

00:20:37.000 Let's say that, you know, this new prime minister has the heart of Thatcher and the wisdom of Churchill and wants to really bring Britain back to greatness.

00:20:48.000 Is that possible given the inner workings of the bureaucracy?

00:20:51.000 How deep is the British deep state?

00:20:54.000 Yeah, we call it the blob, the blob, the bureaucracy that exists within Whitehall.

00:21:01.000 I mean, you can see as I speak to you, the parliamentary buildings behind me.

00:21:05.000 And behind that is the blob.

00:21:08.000 And their job is to make sure nothing changes.

00:21:10.000 Their job has been to frustrate Brexit for the last few years.

00:21:13.000 Their job is to work with the globalists.

00:21:17.000 I've got to tell you, if I walk, Charlie, if I walk past their offices, you've never heard such abuse in all your life.

00:21:25.000 So she will not just need wisdom.

00:21:28.000 She will not just need integrity.

00:21:31.000 She will need enormous courage to stand up and fight.

00:21:35.000 Boris Johnson, who was a great showman, often very entertaining, he didn't bother to fight.

00:21:41.000 Whenever he was challenged on anything, he just U-turned.

00:21:44.000 He just backed away from any challenge.

00:21:47.000 I can't promise you right now, this is going to be the next Margaret Thatcher.

00:21:52.000 All I can say is she's saying some of the right things.

00:21:56.000 And boy, she needs to. 0.96

00:21:58.000 Do not underestimate in America how much mess 12 years of Conservative government has put this country in.

00:22:04.000 We are on the edge of a financial precipice.

00:22:09.000 If we fall over it, confidence in this country will evaporate.

00:22:12.000 Foreign direct investment will dry up completely.

00:22:16.000 Interest rates will have to rise rapidly for us even to be able to get into the markets more government debt.

00:22:23.000 At the heart of this is a catastrophic energy policy.

00:22:28.000 You know, go green, go green, build some windmills.

00:22:32.000 Oh, that's good.

00:22:33.000 That'll all make us feel great.

00:22:34.000 Put big subsidies on the poor to transfer that to big wind turbine companies and Chinese blade manufacturers and wealthy landowners.

00:22:44.000 And then guess what happens?

00:22:45.000 When the wind doesn't blow, you ain't got no energy.

00:22:47.000 You need gas or other fossil fuels to back it up.

00:22:51.000 And now Mr. Putin, frankly, has Europe in the palm of his hand.

00:22:57.000 And Boris Johnson was the one above all.

00:23:00.000 Blair started it, but Boris led us to this green lunacy.

00:23:05.000 America is energy independent.

00:23:08.000 Under Trump, it became an energy exporter for the first time in, I think, nearly 100 years.

00:23:14.000 And that's the reason why the dollar is so strong against the Euro, against the pound, is that we have to import energy.

00:23:22.000 America doesn't.

00:23:23.000 And trust, you know, I want to see her say we're going to make this country energy independent within two years.

00:23:30.000 I haven't heard it yet, but I'm hopeful.

00:23:33.000 So where are the people right now in Britain?

00:23:36.000 Because you're totally right.

00:23:37.000 I mean, the United Kingdom should have one of the strongest economies in the world, but your numbers have been so lackluster recently, just because of ideological leadership, because of the lackluster decision-making from Boris Johnson.

00:23:53.000 I mean, behind America, the United Kingdom, the pound is one of the reserve currencies. of the planet.

00:23:59.000 It's always very stable.

00:24:01.000 I think for the first time, the dollar is more valuable than the pound, if I'm not mistaken.

00:24:04.000 I could be wrong.

00:24:05.000 I might be the Europe.

00:24:07.000 Yeah.

00:24:08.000 Yeah, the dollar is now more powerful than the Euro.

00:24:12.000 The Euro has slipped below paracy, but you know, with the dollar, you know, the pound is still stronger in relative terms than the dollar, but we're now at a 40-year low in the pound.

00:24:23.000 And that takes us back to when we had Marxist trade unions, miners on strike and everything else.

00:24:28.000 You know, we are headed back to the bad, dark cold days of the 70s and early 80s in our country unless we can turn this around.

00:24:36.000 And, you know, I think sometimes, Charlie, in our respective countries, we spend too much time blaming the left, too much time saying this is all their dastardly plan, when sometimes the truth is it's conservative cowardice that has led to this, that we bend.

00:24:54.000 Too often our movements, it's your rhinos, it's our remainers, but too often we bend in the face of this rather than standing firm for the principles that we know actually work and create wealth for ordinary people.

00:25:09.000 Socialism has never, ever, ever made people better off or wealthier.

00:25:15.000 It always fails.

00:25:16.000 And yet it seems we have to relearn that lesson every 20 or 30 years.

00:25:21.000 So can you kind of explain for our American audience that isn't as read into this, what's going on with European energy right now and what is the cause of that?

00:25:30.000 Because most Americans right now, I mean, we're experiencing some rolling blackouts and some energy problems, but nowhere near that in Europe.

00:25:37.000 What's going on?

00:25:39.000 What is going on is that the UK and Europe, none of us are energy independent.

00:25:45.000 We could be.

00:25:46.000 We've got vast coal reserves.

00:25:48.000 The UK has one of the biggest untapped gas fields in the world.

00:25:52.000 We've chosen not to do it because we're pursuing net zero carbon targets.

00:25:57.000 So rather than producing our own energy, we'd prefer to import it.

00:26:01.000 It makes our hands feel cleaner.

00:26:04.000 We allow our heavy manufacturing to go to India and China.

00:26:07.000 Again, it shows that our carbon emissions are down, even though the effect on global emissions is, of course, absolutely a zero sum game.

00:26:16.000 So Europe cannot keep the lights on.

00:26:19.000 The Germans cannot keep making cars unless we can import energy from elsewhere. 0.96

00:26:24.000 And Russia, Russia has been producing for Germany and for Italy about 40% of its gas needs.

00:26:32.000 And now Putin is slowly but surely turning off the taps.

00:26:36.000 In fact, I would argue, if you look at the Ukraine war, it is now more of an energy war than it is about territorial gain in the Ukraine.

00:26:47.000 I remember so well Donald Trump in 2018 addressing the UN General Assembly and saying the German delegation have made themselves too dependent on Russia.

00:26:58.000 And they all laughed at him.

00:26:59.000 Well, to use an old line of mine from the European Parliament, they're not laughing now because they got this completely utterly wrong.

00:27:08.000 And that, Charlie, that's where we are.

00:27:11.000 Literally, we have rationing now in state apartments in Germany, hot water only available for one hour a day in some of those places.

00:27:21.000 Build, which is the German tabloid big newspaper, said it wasn't even as bad as this after the British and Americans bombed our cities flat in 1940.

00:27:32.000 They were in better shape after Dresden.

00:27:34.000 That's hard to believe.

00:27:35.000 Yeah.

00:27:35.000 So, Nigel, to close out here, can you just reinforce, though, that this is being driven by ideology?

00:27:42.000 There is no practical or prudent reason to not explore energy and to explore zero emissions.

00:27:50.000 Can you talk about how dangerous an ideological regime is when they take power?

00:27:55.000 The World Economic Forum, the Green Energy Fund.

00:27:57.000 There are two points to make here.

00:27:58.000 I think two fundamental points.

00:28:00.000 The first is that whether you believe that carbon dioxide levels lead to global warming or not, of course, we all want to live in a cleaner environment.

00:28:09.000 We don't want nitrous oxide going into the air in vast positives.

00:28:13.000 But to brand carbon dioxide, without which life can't exist as a pollutant, strikes me as being rather odd and perverse.

00:28:21.000 And even if you believe that, it's China.

00:28:24.000 China built 80 new coal-fired power stations just last year.

00:28:28.000 Whatever we do, frankly, is irrelevant.

00:28:31.000 The second more fundamental point is this.

00:28:34.000 And this is where the conservative movement is, I believe, in both your country and mine.

00:28:38.000 We join at the hip on this.

00:28:40.000 Energy security.

00:28:42.000 Being a nation that is able to look after itself in times of uncertainty, in times of war, means we need to be, both of us, energy independent, food independent, and put our national interest above everything else.

00:28:57.000 There's a chap I know, he's a friend of yours too.

00:29:00.000 He called it America first.

00:29:02.000 And actually, you know what?

00:29:03.000 He's absolutely right.

00:29:05.000 That's exactly right.

00:29:07.000 It is a moral imperative to secure the needs of your own citizens before you start to do adventures abroad and all these insane ideological campaigns of people that, quite honestly, are going to be fine no matter what.

00:29:20.000 They'll have private jets, they'll have mansions, but it's the working people of both our countries that will suffer. 1.00

00:29:25.000 Nigel, thanks so much.

00:29:26.000 Deeply appreciate it.

00:29:28.000 Thanks, Charlie.

00:29:31.000 Hey, Charlie, hope you're well, sir.

00:29:33.000 Congratulations on the newborn.

00:29:34.000 Ron emailed us.

00:29:35.000 I agree with you that the gospel of the left is the prince.

00:29:37.000 Charlie, however, Jesus tells us to defeat evil with good.

00:29:40.000 Romans 12:21, do not be not overcome with evil, but overcome with good.

00:29:44.000 Overcome evil with good.

00:29:45.000 So that's Paul writing in Romans.

00:29:48.000 But that's, I'll take the argument.

00:29:50.000 It is the word of God.

00:29:51.000 Christians, even if they're involved in politics, do not take the Machiavellian route.

00:29:54.000 We take up our cross, the instrument of our execution, and follow our mentor, Jesus.

00:29:59.000 We bring righteousness to people who are wrong.

00:30:01.000 We bring courage to those who is cowardice.

00:30:03.000 We bring hope to the hopeless.

00:30:04.000 If we do those things, the power mongers on the left will fear us and run away.

00:30:07.000 So I guess my question, Ron, and he's writing from Canada.

00:30:11.000 I guess the question is: was it wrong for us to invade Normandy Beach?

00:30:15.000 Was it wrong for us to wage war in the Pacific after Pearl Harbor?

00:30:20.000 Was it wrong for Winston Churchill to countermove against the fights?

00:30:25.000 Should we have not responded with those military actions?

00:30:29.000 Now, the proper response will say, well, Charlie, that's a theater of war.

00:30:34.000 That's a theater.

00:30:35.000 And, you know, rules are different in a theater of war than they are.

00:30:39.000 And so I say, hold on a second.

00:30:40.000 Are we not in some form of metaphorical political struggle right now?

00:30:44.000 So when people say, Charlie, you know, we got to take the high road.

00:30:47.000 You know, I agree at that.

00:30:49.000 But how would you teach your kids about World War II?

00:30:52.000 Because to be consistent, you'd have to say that we made a mistake of fighting World War II.

00:30:57.000 That was not the high road.

00:30:58.000 Dresden was not the high road, everybody.

00:31:01.000 Battle of the Bulge was not the high road.

00:31:04.000 It was courageous.

00:31:05.000 It was right.

00:31:05.000 It was virtuous.

00:31:06.000 It was good.

00:31:08.000 But it wasn't like, hey, you know, we're just going to kind of, we're just going to let the bad guys run over us.

00:31:14.000 Nowhere in the Bible does it say that, ever.

00:31:17.000 You know what it also says in the Bible?

00:31:20.000 If you love God, you must hate evil.

00:31:25.000 Something to think about.

00:31:26.000 Email us your thoughts, freedom at charliekirk.com.

00:31:28.000 Chuck says, Charlie, always been a fan.

00:31:30.000 Love your new show.

00:31:31.000 You, sir, are right on about everything you said today.

00:31:33.000 Why, why, why is it so hard for Republicans on the right to understand we need fighters, governors, senators, members of the House, school board members who will strike fear into the left before we hope to bring in any kind of our table.

00:31:43.000 And frankly, I don't want them at our table anyway.

00:31:45.000 And look, I said something briefly that I want to reinforce here, which is deep down in my private conversations with a lot of Republican politicians and a lot of conservative politicians, they deep down want to be loved by the left.

00:32:03.000 Conservatives at their best want to be feared by the left.

00:32:09.000 Not to fear the left, but have the left fear us.

00:32:12.000 You know who the left fears?

00:32:13.000 Ron DeSantis.

00:32:15.000 You know who the left fears?

00:32:16.000 Donald Trump.

00:32:17.000 You can see how they treat them.

00:32:19.000 Conservatives that get it get targeted across the board.

00:32:23.000 Ron DeSantis.

00:32:26.000 How about Tucker Carlson?

00:32:28.000 You think Tucker Carlson wants to be loved by the left?

00:32:30.000 That's why they hate him.

00:32:31.000 You know who else didn't want to be loved by the left, which is why they tried for 30 years to destroy him?

00:32:37.000 Rush Limbaugh.

00:32:39.000 Rush Limbaugh said, never try to get the media to like you.

00:32:42.000 Never try to get Democrats to like you.

00:32:44.000 Deep down, most Republican conservative media personalities or people that are kind of part of that whole cabal, they want to be loved.

00:32:53.000 It's better for the country if the left fears us than the left loves us.

00:32:58.000 There will only be one winner here.

00:33:01.000 And we're not going to win by just saying, stop it.

00:33:06.000 Please, hey, hey, stop indicting us.

00:33:09.000 Please.

00:33:11.000 Is that working?

00:33:12.000 Is that instilling confidence?

00:33:13.000 Is the left slowing down?

00:33:17.000 And you might say right now, oh, Charlie, come on, what is Michael Flynn, Roger Stone, Donald Trump, James O'Keefe, Frudi Giuliani, Dinesh D'Souza, Paul Manafort?

00:33:26.000 What does that have to do with Peter Navarro?

00:33:28.000 What does that have to do with me?

00:33:29.000 Come on.

00:33:30.000 I mean, well, first of all, they got 87,000 new IRS agents, so it's about to get very personal for all of you.

00:33:36.000 It's about to get right up in your face.

00:33:38.000 And you might say, well, Charlie, I pay all my taxes.

00:33:40.000 I'm a perfect citizen.

00:33:41.000 All right, enjoy defending yourself with legal fees for $35,000.

00:33:45.000 An average audit costs between $20,000 to $40,000 just to defend yourself in legal fees.

00:33:49.000 And no, for those of you keeping score at home, the government doesn't pay your legal fees.

00:33:52.000 You've got to pay to defend yourself.

00:33:54.000 Even if you paid every dime in taxes, you might have to pay tens of thousands of dollars just to be able to defend yourself against the robber barons of the Internal Revenue Service.

00:34:03.000 So come on, James O'Keefe getting raided.

00:34:06.000 Who cares if Steve Bannon goes to jail?

00:34:10.000 It doesn't impact me.

00:34:11.000 Well, it does.

00:34:12.000 But even if it didn't directly impact you, what an indictment of the lack of moral courage of people that are willing just to kind of turn the channel if they say, well, I just want to be comfortable.

00:34:23.000 The civilization is crumbling.

00:34:25.000 They know what they're doing because they're capitalizing on the great Machiavellian paradox.

00:34:32.000 They want to be feared and we want to be loved.

00:34:36.000 The moment we switch that and all of a sudden we want to be feared, we're going to start to win.

00:34:42.000 And that's how we start to take back the country. 0.50
