00:01:23.260 obsessed with which is everyone i get the weird out of the way okay so then it's not haunting us

00:01:27.640 it's all right so it's good i like a little weird yeah so your version of the color purple is my

00:01:32.360 favorite ever on broadway um and your song i'm here your version of i'm here was my most played song

00:01:38.800 two years in a row on spotify there it is it's out on the table it's out of the way it's not weird

00:01:43.540 anymore because i told her to her face not weird there it is not weird at all i love it which

00:01:48.140 probably tells you where i was at mentally at the time but that's another conversation but we're we

00:01:58.000 for your help i agree i am so excited to have you i think you're a fucking ledge thank you so much for 0.91

00:02:03.700 joining us thank you very much and i want to talk about you and all of your wonderful amazing

00:02:08.080 things going on but first i would love to know who is not familiar with your lore which i would

00:02:14.240 find very hard to believe at this point but for those that aren't um how you got into show business

00:02:19.740 how you got into singing acting all of the things i feel like i took the traditional route into it i

00:02:26.140 was doing a lot of like singing and backing vocals and all of that stuff when i was much younger

00:02:30.960 um i was finding whatever i possibly could to perform in when i was living in london between

00:02:37.520 the ages of like 13 to the age of like 18 19 you're just gigging all over literally oh and you know

00:02:44.900 what you can't do that right now probably anymore but i would be at a club singing doing backing

00:02:52.260 vocals for any open mic nights with people new artists whatever that was till like 1 a.m and i was

00:02:57.160 just trying to be wherever i could be that's crazy until i finished what we call secondary school or

00:03:03.780 college and then i went to drama school put myself through drama school love and then did plays that

00:03:11.340 led to musicals and musicals that led to broadway broadway that led to films and tv and here i am

00:03:16.480 today yeah look at you yeah now you're elphaba that's crazy a little bit that's so insane i would love

00:03:23.740 to know is there like is there a difference in preparing for something like a broadway show like

00:03:28.540 when you're doing like eight shows a week versus something like wicked is there a difference in

00:03:32.040 preparation for it i think there is they're both as intense just different so for the broadway show

00:03:38.760 you're you're trying to maintain a level of health in your voice eight shows a week yeah for the eight

00:03:45.020 shows a week and you have it might seem like you have the days to yourself and then you're performing

00:03:49.920 at night but once you've performed at night your body then has to recover from the night before

00:03:54.900 the day of to be ready then for the night again and you're doing sometimes two shows a day so

00:04:00.280 your body really just has to try to keep ticking over and getting ready and so that one day off that

00:04:05.240 you get is really to like get yourself together for the next week right it's to patch yourself back

00:04:10.240 together i mean i literally lived like a monk there was no going anywhere there's no doing anything

00:04:14.540 you're like rapunzel uh don't even do that to me i just mean the pageantry of it i mean like away

00:04:23.400 away away but like you know it was um a really beautiful time because i was still learning when

00:04:28.840 i was on broadway it was the first time i was on broadway i haven't been back for a while but

00:04:32.780 it wasn't something that i was unfamiliar with because i was coming from west end i was coming from

00:04:37.120 the stage in london and it takes a lot to just keep yourself healthy enough to keep going

00:04:42.280 yeah when you're doing a role like alphabet on film there is a similarity because it's still

00:04:47.240 musical yeah but it's the 14 hour work day yeah it's just like a pick your heart yes kind of thing

00:04:54.120 yeah they're both as hard but they're just different yeah and i had to get my body ready to be in the

00:05:00.760 harness and flying and all those things that you wouldn't necessarily get on stage yeah but you're

00:05:06.320 getting it in film so you have to be ready every sort of day for it and yeah there's an interesting sort of

00:05:11.400 mystery to what the day can hold even though you have a schedule for the day on on a set if the

00:05:19.400 weather's off if something's not working if a person can't come in that date the schedule change

00:05:24.660 will change on a dime yeah so you're sort of having to be ready for that and the mystery that you get

00:05:30.000 when you're on stage is that each audience is very different so anything can happen it's live so

00:05:36.240 anything can happen on the stage off the stage and you just have to be ready to change like

00:05:40.720 immediately yes you have to be in the moment yeah at least but then with film you you have a sort of

00:05:47.260 time to change if it happens on stage it's it just happens it happens yeah there's something that's

00:05:53.160 horrifying figure it out right that's so terrifying to me kind of fun yeah i bet i'm sure it makes it

00:05:58.000 more exciting yes and it's like and getting a new audience every night i'm sure is super exciting too

00:06:02.320 when you're talking about recovery has the recovery process changed for you over time like did you

00:06:06.960 learn like okay that doesn't really work for me but this does or like swap out techniques or have

00:06:11.900 you kind of had the same i i think so so on a set when when you're on a film set you realize oh i can eat

00:06:18.480 anything i can have anything i want there's they have candy everywhere there's cookies everywhere you

00:06:24.940 know the the crafty truck is always fantastic and they're always really kind and they want you to be

00:06:30.940 well fed and well taken care of but also you have 14 hours to do this today yeah so you want to be

00:06:36.860 alert and awake so i will now speak with the people who are like making the food and ask for the things

00:06:43.660 that will keep me going that will keep my energy up but won't zap it immediately candy's fantastic but

00:06:49.620 it's like a short burst of energy yeah and then you flag and you're working a lot yes right i have had to

00:06:55.400 change how i eat on a set how i work with my what food i have how much i hydrate how much tea i'm

00:07:03.880 drinking oh my gosh you know all of this so i have literally a pack lunch that i take

00:07:08.120 man you're that guy in the office huh i am writing your name on everything i have to like this is the

00:07:15.200 thing that i have here's the little bag that everything goes in this is the tea this is i love

00:07:19.240 that here's the fruit it's all cut up i don't have to worry about it here are my nuts here's the lunch

00:07:24.440 for today so that i know what i am working with yeah absolutely if i'm on stage i there's like

00:07:31.520 bottles of water all over wherever i might have to like touch the space if there's a quick change here

00:07:36.880 then i i sort of set it up for myself for ease so that i can get myself going immediately without

00:07:42.500 having to think about it yeah that's why your voice is so healthy then because you're taking good

00:07:46.360 care of it i have to this is the instrument i work with yeah and it i have to treat it well so

00:07:51.100 it treats me well obviously you've accomplished so many wonderful things especially in the last

00:07:55.180 two years but i'm curious like has there been anything where you're like man i really never

00:08:00.380 thought i would get to do that obviously playing alphabet in the movie i mean but even just

00:08:04.440 interactions i know this this opens up whole worlds to meet people you're like what the

00:08:08.320 i think i feel like i've been on an endless train of oh my gosh

00:08:12.780 why and how did that happen because even going to broadway yeah didn't didn't think that was

00:08:21.780 going to happen yeah didn't know that was going to happen and when it did i actually didn't believe

00:08:25.140 them they i was doing the same show in london and they called me into the office this the the head of

00:08:31.420 the theater and they were like oh we're going to be taking this to broadway and i thought oh that's

00:08:35.920 so nice and so that's so cool have fun that's so cool good luck on your journey we're gonna take

00:08:42.080 you with me like we're gonna take you with the the show oh cool because i was like this is so funny

00:08:49.780 yeah that's so nice of them to say that what if you're like that's mean don't play those jokes on

00:08:54.200 me that's also not cool but like okay cool i'll see yeah you're all have fun by bit it like you

00:09:01.880 don't believe it and then you do but and the only time i really thought oh my goodness this is

00:09:05.520 happening is when i have a ticket in my hand i'm at the airport having to get on a plane to go to

00:09:09.940 new york to do this and you're like oh oh you meant it this is happening so that was like one of those

00:09:17.040 moments where i was like oh this is happening this is insane yeah but it's been a steady amount of

00:09:22.260 like whoa what's happened this is crazy meeting steve mcqueen to do widows when i did my first film

00:09:28.960 was with viola davis with michelle rodriguez and i was like which is crazy how did i get here

00:09:34.900 i'm in a scene with both of them and elizabeth de bickie's over here this tall lady i'm tiny here 1.00

00:09:43.520 thinking oh i have to match viola davis okay and there's steve mcqueen just directing good i think

00:09:51.840 i'll just you know this is and my head is like just keep up just keep up you know it's probably a good

00:09:57.980 thing though that you think that way i feel like it's like you're constantly living in a state of

00:10:01.580 gratitude yeah have to because i think the more i feel that way the more i think that way the more

00:10:07.680 it's the universe sends it back yeah absolutely you know oh my gosh i so believe in that you

00:10:12.640 we're talking about you being witchy a little bit i'm a witch in training everybody on my set knows

00:10:17.720 that i talk about being a witch all the time i have a bunch of books crystals all of that i think

00:10:22.060 we underestimate intuition and we underestimate what we the energy that we have that we put into

00:10:29.760 the the air into the universe it is active yeah i think we sometimes think it's uh a dormant and

00:10:36.400 it's just a thing we say but we see it in action constantly totally you know yeah i believe in

00:10:42.200 manifestation heavy oh for sure yeah i manifest i'm sure you've been manifesting are you joking

00:10:47.200 i know i need to i need to know what your manifest i need to get on that oh my god i need to juice

00:10:53.460 mine up a little bit i'm telling you i am telling you that it's little things like i i did a small

00:10:59.920 thing called poker face i'm really excited about that episode coming out i'd met uh ryan before for

00:11:06.460 something previously and it was um to play a twin and then i was like oh i'd love to i really would

00:11:13.620 love to do something i am so sorry about that no but you know what i feel like this happens

00:11:22.980 this happens every time

00:11:25.560 who is sam me not knowing who the heck is sam pissed annoyed 0.75

00:11:36.660 he's just driving it away

00:11:46.260 get away from him get out of here go get out of here you'll never work another day in the town 0.99

00:11:53.620 oh my gosh

00:11:56.100 i'm telling you i'm telling you that was not just a mistake

00:12:01.860 i know we're talking about manifestation and twins you were saying you wanted to play a twin

00:12:06.340 i wanted to play the twins in this thing that he was doing and then like literally a year or two

00:12:13.300 later i get this message saying hey do you want to come and play uh quintuplet damn they said double

00:12:21.360 it give it to her give it to her then you know that's so cool and and i'm so excited i was so

00:12:27.380 excited i was like that how in what what what yeah sure when you do that you look at your hands like

00:12:33.360 this power i hold it's too powerful i should really be careful i need yeah i need to be careful how i

00:12:39.120 wield this that's so that it's like believing that things will come to you and i always say to i always

00:12:46.880 say to people be careful of what you ask for and how you ask for it right like want the things you

00:12:51.880 want but be really specific about how yeah absolutely yeah know that there is and it's

00:12:58.040 obviously the work that you put in for sure but it's it's never just an empty the word i agree it's

00:13:05.100 always listening yeah and responding yeah i've said that too about people building platforms when people

00:13:09.540 ask me about building a platform in general i always say like i think intention matters more than

00:13:15.220 anything if you have something to say and contribute that's not harmful and you're doing it with good

00:13:19.980 intention i believe the universe will reward you yeah but i also feel like if you're doing it with

00:13:24.120 poor intention and you're struggling i feel like it withholds it from you on purpose yeah i truly do 0.98

00:13:29.220 believe that and that sometimes people hate hearing that shit because they think it sounds like cornball 0.98

00:13:33.060 also you know it's true yeah you if you send something out with good intentions even though it might not 0.99

00:13:39.480 be perfect but if it comes from the right place right it's not meant to hurt it is meant to to bring joy

00:13:46.480 it's meant to heal it's meant to do good then it will probably come back to you in that way yeah

00:13:51.400 that's how you send it out if you're sending out in the opposite direction right you'll probably receive

00:13:56.660 it that way too right exactly it'll it might come back to you initially with like lots of good things

00:14:03.260 and then that thing turns the opposite way yeah exactly have you ever done an egg cleanse

00:14:08.480 no what is an egg cleanse oh my gosh they're so cool but i do them when when a lot of bad things

00:14:13.520 are happening like if i feel like little things that don't normally go wrong or going wrong for me

00:14:17.600 in like multiple days in a row i'm like i need to egg cleanse it's like a i think hispanic like kind 0.59

00:14:22.960 of spiritual ritual but basically you like use the egg to draw all the bad energy out of you and then

00:14:28.900 you like empty it into a cup you put a bunch of sour stuff in there you say what you want to get rid

00:14:33.780 of and then you flush it down the toilet oh it's tea you should look it up egg cleanse if you're ever

00:14:38.020 having a bad couple days okay i need to cleanse and that's why i said i i cast spells on people i've done it a

00:14:43.440 couple times and it's worked don't want to say it but it's funny because one time one of my girlfriends

00:14:48.660 who is my witch sensei that's what i call her and she's teaching me how to be a witch one time 1.00

00:14:53.540 something really something really crazy happened to someone we just mutually know we're not friends

00:14:58.180 with them but they're a bad person so it's fine but when we were talking about it she was like she

00:15:03.580 was like oh yeah and guess who cast a spell on her three months ago me no and i said why and she said

00:15:08.180 because she was rude to my friend and so i said oh well i'm going home now you were really rude to

00:15:14.280 my friend now can we get it together i like that spell my my spell is like direct it's addressing it

00:15:22.040 hey i asked her too i said how rude was she she said she was she was talking to her friend like

00:15:27.160 she was a waiter oh now see i like to address those things i'm like hey you confrontational like me

00:15:33.340 no i do i like because i don't think that i don't think everything is bad confrontation

00:15:38.680 i agree i think that addressing uh certain behaviors addressing the way people are with you

00:15:45.380 addressing the way certain people are with other people in real time is actually really good for

00:15:50.920 people i agree because sometimes they just might not even know so i think bring up let's have a

00:15:57.860 conversation here's how i would like to be treated love and i know that you would like to be treated the

00:16:02.220 same but we're gonna have a conversation because i'm seeing i'm seeing certain things right that i

00:16:07.960 don't think is good for you or me i love that advocating for yourself it's important for sure

00:16:12.080 especially as women in this industry uh yeah yeah you're gonna need to do that what's your sign 1.00

00:16:16.000 capricorn love period have us around now

00:16:20.140 capricorns if you don't have a capricorn around you better get you one yeah exactly i agree honestly

00:16:28.140 my cousin adam's a capricorn and what's funny is i've i've made fun of capricorns a few times but

00:16:33.300 here's why withhold judgment here's why i've said capricorns are the most animatic people i've ever

00:16:39.020 met it works they charm everybody everybody falls in love with them that's very true true what i don't

00:16:44.860 like about capricorns is as soon as they decide they don't like you they can just forget you like

00:16:48.840 they never met you in their entire lives immediately it's like it vanishes i feel like that's batman

00:16:54.080 villain shit you know no it's just we have no time to waste just like i know it's so honest i don't 0.88

00:17:01.720 need to tell you i don't like you anymore i just will disappear and you'll never hear from me again 0.99

00:17:05.680 yeah that is a big enough message that is the message that's the message yeah why must i be

00:17:11.440 in your space or why must you be in my space i don't like you you don't like me we're done maybe

00:17:15.980 it's just envy of mine maybe i just envy that do you know what it is it's because it's because

00:17:20.960 people are like how do you do that yeah and for us it's very easy to be like um

00:17:26.300 that's that's enough time goodbye now and other people find it really hard to do that yeah that's

00:17:36.400 actually so real you know we we sort of waste time being in the same space as people we don't

00:17:39.920 want to be in the same space as and we're like how do i let them know nicely and i don't want to hurt

00:17:44.340 their feelings but it's not about hurting a person's feelings it's actually being like i want to

00:17:48.160 spare you time i want to spare me time and uh i want to get on with my life and i'd like you to

00:17:52.780 get on with yours let's just call it good night we're good we're good yeah thank you so much

00:17:57.420 it's funny because my sister is a capricorn moon yes so that's like her emotions and stuff and

00:18:02.820 for years like on the phone because we talk on the phone all the time she would always if she

00:18:07.540 didn't want to talk to me anymore she would be like well i gotta poop and so that's just and 0.97

00:18:12.220 every time i'd be like oh okay and then one day i go no you don't and then she goes i just like i'm

00:18:18.140 done i'm done talking i'm done i don't want to talk anymore i go well then why don't you just say

00:18:23.600 this is it it's because it's not the front but it's not the rising exactly the rising says

00:18:29.380 i have to go now how do i go i'll just lie okay good uh see you tomorrow uh i'll see you another time

00:18:36.800 i have a good day on my way down here i was i was talking to my grandfather on the phone because

00:18:41.120 i was like telling him i sent him some food and stuff and at least three times the duration of

00:18:46.520 the conversation is probably five minutes but at least three times he goes all right well

00:18:50.760 i'll let you go i was like i'm i didn't ask if you let go i'll let you go i gotta go you're not

00:18:58.920 doing anything it's not it doesn't matter about doing anything it really doesn't it's like how much

00:19:04.680 time am i done right now i'm done do i need to be doing anything not really yeah i'm just good

00:19:10.280 now i've i've reached the capacity of this conversation and i'm good to go that's literally

00:19:16.140 how it goes and i love it i love it i envy it i really do i really have you just keep someone

00:19:22.400 around look cousin where are you i think my cousins are here capricorn yeah teacher yeah sometimes when he

00:19:28.720 he goes i just turn around and i leave i go just like without saying anything is yeah oh me

00:19:34.020 at a function at a thing um it's time to go now oh i just realized i don't want to be here so i'm

00:19:42.100 gonna go it's time to go now yeah literally whoever i'm with i'm gonna go now it's i i'd like to go

00:19:47.580 see ya no mixing of the words no pretense nothing and they're like now you want to go now yeah yeah

00:19:55.140 one of my really good friends i made a joke about him doing that when we get dinner

00:19:59.620 like because we're we're like best friends like he's gonna be in my wedding like so we like sit

00:20:04.980 we'll chat we'll gab with the girls it's like him us and our friend and my sister and we'll sit and

00:20:39.500 do you want company i really don't that sounds awful i do not want company right now thank you i'm good

00:20:48.200 but are you sure yeah you want to go like on your own absolutely that's so cool do you get to do

00:20:55.040 things on your own still i try to yeah me too i try to i miss doing stuff on my own it's hard it

00:21:00.980 doesn't happen very often yeah you're way more famous than me so i can't even imagine it's but

00:21:05.360 it's also it's it's sort of getting used to how much time you spend with other people that is

00:21:11.600 something that i have to address for myself so i'm also that's also a new thing to be like i'd like to

00:21:18.200 be on my own today i'd like me time can i can i go on my own i know i was gonna ask like what do

00:21:26.480 you like to do for fun like to relax sleep oh that's lovely yeah i'm like a solo movie watch i

00:21:33.760 like to watch something on my own oh cool um i i like to read a lot running is great on a treadmill

00:21:40.800 because you can't do it with anyone no one can join me on this task i i like when someone's like

00:21:48.120 oh i want to work out you want to come work no i also hate working out why do i need company i

00:21:53.620 don't it's like that's my time why do i need to go and work out with you

00:21:58.840 that's the best thing to do alone please to work out like i hate group classes i hate

00:22:04.640 my man is a certified personal trainer yep he tried to train me one time fought the whole time

00:22:10.740 fought actually the first 15 minutes gave up left because i lost a client in me time

00:22:16.240 it's the me time that's me time i don't want to train yeah like i used to be i used to train

00:22:21.960 with people and then i'd be like what is this session

00:22:24.040 when do i get to do what i want to do on my own i know my man does that begin i literally told her man

00:22:34.480 i was like it's also when i was training with him i was like well don't tell me what to do

00:22:38.460 oh it's and he's like well that's kind of the whole point yeah but also not really for me

00:22:46.740 yeah you know maybe tell me what to do and then go yeah like i literally write me a list i ask i'm

00:22:52.820 not even kidding i ask him to text me workouts just text it to me that's perfect and i'll look i'll read

00:22:57.480 it and i'll do it yeah yeah there you go we're good at following instructions yeah exactly give me

00:23:04.140 the instruction right i will do it that's i love i love that you like alone time i think that's

00:23:10.760 wonderful i'm good you know and i know that that's sort of like a skill that you have to learn over

00:23:16.180 time but i feel like that's something i was born with

00:23:18.460 one thing about me i'm used to being alone in fact i prefer it and the thing is i'm i love being

00:23:26.780 with people and then i like being by myself it's a real like even yeah even scale i love that this

00:24:09.640 guarantee ebay is the place for pre-loved and vintage fashion ebay things people love speaking of

00:24:16.520 alone but not really your music yes we'd love to talk about that please tell me about the new

00:24:20.800 album yes uh my album is called i forgive you um and i spent according to my producer 396 days

00:24:29.400 making it wow and i did it during uh the the shooting of uh wicked and during this press store as well

00:24:37.580 you're crazy i don't have any of you're an american ninja warrior to me what i don't know how you're 0.67

00:24:42.800 still standing when else was i supposed to do it you know i don't know i just feel like you're a 0.97

00:24:47.020 super soldier i feel like you're captain america the thing is i sort of i was listening to what my

00:24:53.060 my brain was saying what my heart was saying what my spirit was saying i felt like the creative

00:24:59.760 sort of portal was open for me i started talking about it when we were right at the beginning of

00:25:05.640 the shoot and then i thought okay i think i might i think i might do this and it just sort of fell in the

00:25:13.420 right place yeah and i knew i wanted to be really vulnerable and when you're doing something like

00:25:18.440 that you're around lots of creative people you're in a space that you feel really safe in and so i

00:25:23.660 just started it fosters the creativity yeah that's right i love that what do you what did you pull

00:25:28.880 from for this particular album like lots of life experiences different relationships that have been

00:25:34.960 in things that i have experienced over time losses that i've had gains that i've had yeah people i've

00:25:41.300 lost people i've gained um things that i've felt uh heartbreak love loss all of those things yeah

00:25:48.660 yeah beautiful what do you hope people take away from it like whether it's is it like messaging is it

00:25:54.960 just the musicality overall is there anything in particular you want them to take away it's a

00:25:59.020 combination of different things i poured a lot of my well i say a lot i mean all of myself into this

00:26:04.860 i'm i co-wrote every song in this album um and if i haven't written it because there are little

00:26:11.020 interludes in there i reinterpreted interpreted those uh interludes and created little interpreter

00:26:17.900 uh interpolations i think the word interpolations of them and did lots of the arrangements uh it's all

00:26:24.420 my voice except for like one uh song with someone else's voice in the background yeah uh i was across

00:26:31.160 when we did the string arrangements it's myself and my my music uh supervisor and md producer

00:26:37.580 we i was in the room when they were playing my nails are in there it's me whistling in there

00:26:44.040 it's born of me musically and lyrically it's all me and it comes from my heart my soul so you get that

00:26:51.880 but i also want people to come away with the idea that life isn't necessarily perfect

00:27:58.180 that we can fall to pieces but we can put the pieces back together again yeah totally that we

00:28:03.820 can be kinder to ourselves the reason i wrote it and called it i forgive you is that i want the idea

00:28:11.000 of saying the words i forgive you to become a little easier not just for other people but for yourself

00:28:17.120 yeah i think sometimes we can be very very hard on ourselves when things don't go to plan

00:28:20.980 but actually those should just be the stepping stones to uh moving forward and to learning

00:28:27.480 and we can totally be forgiving yeah like failing forward yeah i love that yeah and that's so tea for

00:28:33.580 me because i got fired right before i started doing this now you see and but and then the door

00:28:38.620 open for something else yeah i had nothing but time right to be annoying on my phone at home

00:28:43.100 like what happened now i'm talking at elphaba at no joke it works out what no i think and i think

00:28:49.540 that's beautiful and i know you said you had a heavy hand in the production as well like how is that do

00:28:54.300 you like engineering your own music i think that's so fucking awesome i i can't say that i engineered 0.93

00:28:59.960 i'm not techie like that i'm like a little tech situation but i'm i'm i can't possibly take credit

00:29:06.620 for the way this was engineered as william wells who who is my producer on this but i wanted to

00:29:13.260 make sure that my ears were on everything so i knew uh what kind of production i wanted on things

00:29:18.920 every instrument on this is live we have a couple samples on there but not very many

00:29:23.020 and if you hear a drum it's live if you hear a guitar it's live if you hear strings it's live um

00:29:29.760 and it's because i i wanted it to feel that way it brings a different texture to it you know

00:29:34.940 yeah and i'm a weird muso kid who loves music you love live music that's right oh that's so awesome

00:29:41.760 and are you excited for everyone to hear it obviously you have to be i know it's a different

00:29:46.020 side for you yeah so are you like what are you most excited like about putting it out in the universe

00:29:51.980 finally i think i'm excited about people getting to know a different side of me i think we've so many

00:29:58.980 people have gotten to know me singing and doing alphabet and singing really big show tunes or tunes

00:30:05.700 or like big moments on broadway and stuff yeah it's either broadway or it's a big moment on a stage for

00:30:12.560 to honor someone and it's like a big gown and a big dress but and while those parts are a part of me

00:30:19.220 it's not the whole picture absolutely and that there is a tenderer more vulnerable part of that

00:30:26.380 human being that you get to see often yeah and i want people to see the whole picture now and this 0.97

00:30:32.280 is part of it yeah oh i'm so excited for you thank you god you're a man of so many fucking hats 0.95

00:30:37.100 god must be fucking nice shit i was like i think you're so talented and it's crazy thank you like god 0.99

00:30:44.240 hit me with a funny stick and said send that bitch out she's done are you joking look at this 1.00

00:30:47.940 funny funny is all you get get out of here but also i will say that to to be able to sit and have 0.99

00:30:54.340 conversation with people is is a skill thank you it's like thank you not everyone is born with that

00:31:00.940 that's true to be sad to to engage in meaningful conversation with different human beings who have

00:31:07.600 different walks of life of different experiences is a massive skill it's a massive talent so please

00:31:13.960 don't knock it i'm so glad that's on camera thank you so much i'm gonna put that on my

00:31:17.920 cd because it's also it's not just about having the conversation it's like i feel comfortable

00:31:24.760 oh yeah totally i'm so glad yeah imagine you said you felt uncomfortable though but no but but i know

00:31:30.460 but you can tell when a person doesn't know how to make another person feel comfortable in their

00:31:35.320 space yeah your space right yeah and i'm sitting here and i feel comfortable i love that i'm so glad

00:31:40.260 i'm so happy to hear it thank you yeah i do think i've told people before because i know uh you've done

00:31:46.080 hundreds of thousands of interviews i'm sure you've been interviewed in certain aspects where

00:31:49.780 you're kind of like well that was weird that made me feel weird that was weird but you're a

00:31:54.000 professional i could tell you're a professional um i've done a lot of carpet interviews and stuff

00:31:58.340 like i talked to a lot of talent like yourself which is wonderful um but one thing i've told people

00:32:03.000 before when they've asked me about interviewing and i was like because i also have a journalism degree

00:32:07.280 i have a communications degree i i was a journalist for a very long time um but before that i was like

00:32:13.280 i mean certifications are great learning skills are great i think that's wonderful um i think being a

00:32:18.460 people person is far more important i was like there are some people that can write really well as

00:32:23.060 journalists that cannot talk to people and that's okay they're two different skills like i was like

00:32:27.740 it's a real squares and rectangles situation i feel like um i just happen to be journalism also

00:32:34.460 annoying on the internet thankfully i've married the two they've successfully merged thankfully 1.00

00:32:39.580 thankfully i found a niche thank god uh but i appreciate that and i'm glad to hear that you're

00:32:44.780 uh feeling comfy yes love that for you i'm in my seat i'm like look at you relaxing we're matching

00:32:51.160 look at us also i do want to circle back to you saying i know you said you like to read i do and i

00:32:56.920 remembered that you like fourth wing the books can i say when i saw that i said i knew she was one of us

00:33:02.960 i knew it i knew it i knew it i knew it i'm never wrong i knew it i love that you love those kinds

00:33:08.840 of books are you joking you love you love a fairy smut book i listen me too cynthia revo me too

00:33:14.420 love come on let's be honest it's good it's good tell them i'm sick of finding the fight by myself 0.99

00:33:22.300 come on you know it's good you know it's good i love that you love those books fucking period 0.96

00:33:29.840 this did you like the new one i haven't read the new one i'm in the process i have not had enough 0.92

00:33:34.380 time to like sink and like really but it's where i'm at it's good as of right now it's good

00:33:41.620 it's good yeah i've been really into those i was just telling my man the other day because i saw

00:33:46.980 something about dave batista he was saying that he's had to like slim down a ton and he said he's

00:33:53.080 been doing it even more lately because he's not getting cast in anything because he's so large

00:33:56.660 like he's such a big dude yeah and i was like what did they have against big man if i don't see 0.69

00:34:02.520 male titties in a rom-com soon i'm gonna be pissed i get it jacob lordy timothy chalamet i get it i 0.92

00:34:08.320 understand show me man titties now i just need i just need to know that that i can be picked up 0.97

00:34:15.580 that's like yeah exactly just occasionally sometimes i want to be tossed around what's so wrong with that

00:34:22.760 i think i think we're getting used to being on the ground too much i know you're telling me and

00:34:28.820 i'm a big man too so i need a big man you know you know i got a little muscle i love a muscly a

00:34:35.540 muscly dude and i know in a lot of those a lot of them are big dudes that's what and they we need we

00:34:41.380 know even if you got a little a wing on you you want to be i need a little yeah just something when i

00:34:48.280 first read one of those books and i found out some of them had wings i was like hold on growing out of

00:34:53.120 their back and i said wait a second i know okay it's speaking to me a little bit you know and i've

00:35:01.180 i've actually i don't want your waist to be smaller than mine right exactly and if it's smaller than

00:35:05.620 yours let me yeah that's crazy you're teeny tiny i'm mini and i you know i don't want you to be

00:35:14.020 minier than me yeah yeah you're you're kind of you're kind of the cut off i would say that's it

00:35:18.140 that's it you're the you know i think it's okay i agree you know everyone is welcome but we need

00:35:25.260 variation i agree variation i agree and i bet and i love that you love those kinds of books me too

00:35:31.460 yeah that's that's so cheap me and my kindle oh like this what is the the one that it was it's

00:35:38.360 was going there's a nook there was the book that was going everywhere because it's we've got our

00:35:43.700 fourth wing yes oh akatar yeah there's a quarter of thorns and roses yeah that one thorn and roses i

00:35:49.820 haven't begun and i need to those ones are good that's a long series isn't it it is it is yeah

00:35:54.880 those ones she's like if you like fourth wing go back to this okay you'll like those okay for sure

00:36:00.240 all right for sure okay i'm like me trying not to get too excited me getting too excited uh i think

00:36:06.260 yeah my kindle me and i me and my this is now for grown folks episode if you are 21 under 21 here

00:36:18.520 you may need to yeah exactly please do please do uh but i do have you have very progressive parents

00:36:25.600 in which case no judgment okay exactly yeah i actually have some fun facts about you go on i

00:36:32.820 would love to read you some if you're cool with it very cool with it let's see this one says while

00:36:37.460 she was in school you used to work at a clothing company and you were offered the role of women's 0.97

00:36:42.160 wear specialist thomas pink right before she graduated but turned it down to pursue acting

00:36:46.480 that's correct god can you imagine where you'd be in the women's wear section now so here's the fun

00:36:51.700 like here's a fun fact when i started working at this place i knew that i was also starting at drama

00:36:57.640 school and i needed a job to get me through drama school yeah and thomas pink was what was was going

00:37:02.700 and i managed to land this job and i was working sunday and saturday and going to drama school on

00:37:07.660 monday and falling asleep in class because i was so exhausted damn so to cut down to just the sunday

00:37:13.360 and i remember okay i'm going to do this and i made a promise to myself that once i had finished at

00:37:19.340 drama school i was going to quit thomas pink so i could actually really be an actress yeah so i get to

00:37:25.760 the third year and then they're like hey we have this job position opening and i went for the job

00:37:31.320 position i got the job position then i realized oh it's time to graduate so i remembered well

00:37:37.160 i gotta quit i kept my promise to myself so i was like no i can't do this job is it exhausting being

00:37:43.260 so good at literally everything is that exhausting i feel like it is what's it like i blame it on being

00:37:49.780 capricorn yeah i i don't even think it's about being good at things i think it's about being

00:37:54.580 determined to always get it right when you're a capricorn it's just like how how well can i do

00:37:59.720 this i'm going to do this well i will beat everyone in this you need a graph i'm gonna do the best

00:38:06.700 graph you've ever seen i know i feel like a presentation i'll do it in gold that's what it is

00:38:12.520 it's not even about being amazing oh i agree i feel like it's just are you competitive um yeah i would

00:38:18.960 assume say so yeah i would assume i would say so what what game are you really good at do you

00:38:24.020 have a board game that you conquer every time scrabble of course it's very good it's a smart

00:38:28.760 person one oh i'm very good at scrabble you're not you couldn't said taboo or something you say

00:38:33.260 scrabble what are you a hundred why are you playing scrabble like that and i know you're also trying to

00:38:39.240 learn to play chess properly of course i know i'm 79 and i love it it's all you're just mastering all

00:38:46.540 of these like i'm an old lady in the i true i i feel like capricorns are the benjamin buttons of

00:38:52.480 the world but i never got the benjamin button bug bug i just stayed 80 and then i'm just catching up

00:39:00.680 that's too my body will just catch up to my age eventually eventually yeah i wouldn't have been

00:39:05.660 surprised if i asked you and you said chinese checkers i wouldn't have been surprised don't 0.97

00:39:08.940 challenge me we'll learn i said you could never learn mahjong we'll learn i was about to say mahjong 0.94

00:39:16.900 let me get who's gonna teach me mahjong come and find me i need a tutor right now i bet you would kill

00:39:22.760 it listen i bet you don't play with me do you want me to learn i'll learn i know what now i'm now

00:39:30.820 you're going to i like how you're creating a rivalry that i'm not feeding mahjong chinese 0.98

00:39:36.640 checkers at me yeah yeah you'll literally i need to learn you'll come back i want to learn like guess

00:39:41.820 what i learned it's mahjong and it's chinese checkers that's what we're doing and i bet they

00:39:46.100 were already on your list i just remembered mahjong and chess were yeah okay well there you go yeah

00:39:50.380 it was so strange i was in a hotel and there was literally a mahjong kit i was like

00:39:55.840 do i take this do i dare conquer another thing i might learn this you know when you're like what's

00:40:03.920 an interesting fact about you i can play mahjong that is that's what i want to say now this is a

00:40:08.540 and i bet you're i bet you are crazy on a scrabble oh my gosh don't play with me

00:40:14.320 double double letter triple double i'm good i'm so i love it so much it makes me so happy 0.86

00:40:22.000 it pisses everyone off it's like you're one of those they're like what should we do and you're

00:40:29.740 like scrabble that's one two three four five triple letters no one ever wants to play with me i'm too 0.98

00:40:38.920 good that x fantastic i know what to do with that that a y good i can do that you're crazy 0.54

00:40:45.880 of course you're good at scrabble that's insane that feels like such an intensely hard game to learn

00:40:52.120 and master i bet if you could you would join those little scrabble leagues oh my gosh i play

00:40:57.220 with a bunch of old people i think you would thrive in there happily and and because they're so 1.00

00:41:01.940 serious about the game you know that we wouldn't be talking very much at all we'd just be playing

00:41:06.100 the game they wouldn't even know who you are bit marjorie that's not a word you're that's illegal

00:41:12.040 that's illegal don't count that now bertrand stop it that's not right you're not supposed to put that

00:41:21.460 there exactly and you know that's an abbreviation you're not supposed to be using abbreviations i

00:41:25.620 feel like you're always scorekeeper you're always the person always tallying

00:41:29.380 let's see what else we have we have you once ran a half marathon and then performed in two

00:41:37.560 broadway shows correct same day that's right so that's where we circle back to american ninja

00:41:41.600 warrior that's you that's a half marathon and two shows yes i had made like this is a pattern i

00:41:49.320 made a promise to myself that if i finished the race in time to get ready for the two shows i would

00:41:54.760 go and do the two shows and i finished in time i think it was like an hour and 30 something 0.98

00:41:58.760 um minutes and it was still early so i went home had a shower got ready and you're insane 0.99

00:42:05.740 you're actually you're like that was an insane moment the way you're like saying how you motivate

00:42:12.680 yourself it sounds like you know when you have little kids you're like let's see how fast you can

00:42:16.040 go get my water 10 9 8 you're like okay if i can do this in 10 minutes you denzel washington in the

00:42:22.400 equalizer four minutes clock it clock it yeah that's so crazy how was the half marathon it was

00:42:27.600 actually it was really fun yeah um doing the first show because i had never done a half marathon before

00:42:34.940 yeah i had trained for it and i but i had never done it competitively your body does a different

00:42:39.600 thing when it's competing yeah it like flushes your system with adrenaline oh yeah and you're you don't

00:42:46.160 realize how fast you're moving yeah like too fast out of your pace you move much faster than you would

00:42:51.580 if you were just training so i had moved a lot faster which meant that my body had to do much

00:42:56.420 more recovery and it starts immediately the moment you stop your body goes oh thank you and starts to

00:43:03.580 cool down the muscles start to tighten up and the first thing i do in the show is get down on my knees

00:43:08.880 i remember going oh how am i gonna get up oh my god that would be crazy and i'm playing at this

00:43:20.780 point a 14 year old i was like i have no spring in my step i can't get up and there was a step behind

00:43:27.420 me and i remember having to try to use the step to get up because my knees and my thighs had seized

00:43:33.800 up underneath me it was crazy oh my god so running the race lovely after the race something else

00:43:41.620 something else entirely that being said i did finish both did finish and um got a standing

00:43:46.560 ovation both times but it's neither here nor there you're so strong for doing a marathon sometimes i

00:43:53.060 when i like i'm feeling silly or drunk and i tell people i'll run a marathon with you i'm a liar

00:43:58.840 i'm never gonna do that but who knows though i'd like to think i could i could recommend the

00:44:05.140 the marathons to run and not to run first so my first full marathon was the new york marathon it's

00:44:10.440 one of the most amazing things to run not a good first one because it's a lot yeah it ends in central

00:44:16.380 park uphill oh nice love and the day i ran it there was there was a wind it was windy damn i was gonna

00:44:25.120 blow you away and at 25 miles 26 miles uphill is just mean it feels pointed it just yeah it feels

00:44:35.280 like someone did that because they were really annoyed with everyone it's like you end in central

00:44:41.440 park you think it's beautiful but you won't be able to see the beauty because you're going to be

00:44:45.780 dying yeah you're dying the whole time you're looking through a pinhole it's just it's not it's not

00:44:49.620 good running london marathon was really lovely oh it starts rolling hills but you end just

00:44:54.600 running on a flat and it's beautiful you've ran more than one marathon yes of course you have

00:44:59.060 a few half have you done an iron man never i'm not someone suggested that but i know my limits

00:45:05.300 you know what i mean i know that that's a limit i feel like that's a limit for me you think for now

00:45:11.800 yes yeah i was gonna say just give you a couple months i don't know maybe i'll be like do you not

00:45:17.640 like the biking or the swimming yeah i can't i don't want to do all of that give me just one

00:45:22.000 it's just one too much i'll do i'll the marathon i can do because i know i know that yeah i know

00:45:27.980 what my legs can do i know what you mean flat ground yeah iron man's like they want attention

00:45:32.800 it's too much why do you need to do that you need me to to swim as well like and i like a swim but i

00:45:40.600 don't need to do all that now like and then i have to go and run as well after that i know i gotta

00:45:46.860 get changed i need to be soaking wet and and then i'll get on a bike for why me running in a bathing

00:45:53.740 suit is enough for me fair it just feels like you this is actively set up for a person to fail

00:46:00.340 you're not trying to make a person win here you're like how hard are you really and winning

00:46:05.200 is important to you i get that i don't want to do no i love that i will however i want to run the

00:46:14.000 paris marathon because uh then i can have uh pastries and go and shop afterwards oh that's a

00:46:19.280 good idea then i can really like see paris you know it's nice i can distract myself at mile 18 with

00:46:25.740 the champs elisee you know what i mean yeah that i can pretty to look at yeah i feel it get into that

00:46:31.280 chicago is lovely because it's flat oh yeah too and i will happily go and run the marathon in

00:46:36.700 hawaii because i love that place so much and there's heat and a beach yeah you need you need

00:46:43.280 scenery i feel that yeah i saw this guy on tiktok who runs like ultra marathons which are like a hundred

00:46:49.320 miles no he ran from like italy to switzerland one time it's too much i watched him the whole time i

00:46:54.920 said where are you going it's too much who are you running from king oh i feel like something's going on

00:47:00.160 to train for an oh when it start when you start with an ultra that's crazy i'm i'm you've lost me

00:47:06.540 yeah i'm tapping out i'm the marathon is enough it's okay i'll say it's 26.2 miles why do you need

00:47:13.460 more than that why do i need to run for days yeah no literally days it took some like it took him

00:47:19.460 like four or five days to do it why oh girl if only it's one day not enough if i could only get in the

00:47:25.020 mind of a white man like that i don't know why like who are you doing that for do you hate your

00:47:30.780 family that much so you need to run away from them for a week can't see i can't go to her birthday 0.99

00:47:35.120 party i'll be running the ultra my god why just i'm gonna run a marathon it's gonna take me a few

00:47:41.920 hours and i'll be back at the house today today literally today today i love a marathon is a really

00:47:48.580 beautiful excuse to go and eat pizza afterwards that's what it is i'm gonna have some pastries i'm

00:47:53.120 gonna have a pizza i'm gonna go shopping afterwards my legs might hurt but i'm gonna be alive and home

00:47:58.220 you know what i'm saying i'd love to go home but the ultra marathon says i don't want to know any of

00:48:04.040 you for the next week don't talk to me i hate you all and this is the reason i'm going to not be there 0.97

00:48:12.660 i'm gonna be running an ultra marathon it sounds so cool right but actually you're running from 0.92

00:48:17.600 everyone for a week no you're getting mad like where are you going it's not even a track it's

00:48:23.780 so the thing is it's so far you don't even have a track anymore you're like running in the bushes in

00:48:29.420 the oh yeah that's what i saw i saw i'm running in mountains and shit and i said honestly would 0.78

00:48:34.020 anyone know if i didn't finish i'd go home like that documentary where people were running a marathon 0.70

00:48:39.580 in the desert that's crazy i was like why are you running an ultra marathon in the desert

00:48:45.640 or who you are running so far with very little water this is crazy i didn't know you hated them

00:48:53.480 so much i love the the the the feeling of it the pain you want this kind of pain yeah i saw that guy's 0.99

00:49:01.980 feet once and i said that's nothing it's worth that people that kind of shit is crazy die i know 0.90

00:49:08.900 i see it all the time i'm running towards death that's what i'm actually doing with this marathon 0.99

00:49:14.000 with this ultra marathon i've decided to run towards death that's crazy i i'll tell you what

00:49:18.780 i i am not running ever let alone dying because of it like i'm not dying because of running i love a

00:49:26.020 run you know i do i love a run i do i love the marathon i love a half marathon i can get through it

00:49:30.880 and i love it and you know it's a good challenge for me and i like how it feels because it does give

00:49:35.900 you a really like big boost of serotonin but when danger is involved like that i just can't i don't

00:49:45.140 know why i and the thing is i know that there are people that like but it's so great and i love it and

00:49:50.000 i i love that for you so much that's all right i think ultra marathon's real one percenter it's like

00:49:54.940 yeah there's very few people in the world i think that genuinely enjoy doing stuff like that it's too

00:49:59.640 much it's yeah they're doing too much i agree it's not meant to do i remember i was doing a musical

00:50:05.120 in london and and when when you do that kind of work and it's like eight shows a week they sometimes

00:50:11.000 set you up with an osteopath right because sometimes you're on raked stages are the devil they're

00:50:16.560 basically a hill on a stage so you're you're getting your work done but you're on a slant always

00:50:24.460 so it messes with your alignment so they set you up with an osteopath my osteopath was a runner and i

00:50:30.860 said to him i like running too and he was like but you just no one should ever go past a half marathon

00:50:36.500 i said well what about a marathon he said no what about an ultra marathon no why it's not good for you

00:50:44.700 and that was all he said and it's haunted you ever since and it's literally i have heard it in my brain

00:50:52.820 ever since because he said no i don't think the body's meant to do that you know what i'm glad he 0.74

00:50:58.940 said it because i've been saying it for fucking years i said there's no need to run that's not 0.97

00:51:02.600 good for you i'm just kidding good running is good for you running is but there's a there's a limit 0.96

00:51:06.740 for me there's a limit there has i think genuinely should be a limit to be honest i think it's okay to

00:51:12.380 be like this is too far what's something you would love to to do something physical or like a trip or

00:51:18.560 something oh a trip or something physical i would say something let's do something physical because

00:51:22.760 we're talking about marathons is there anything that you would love to do but haven't gotten a

00:51:25.400 chance to do yet i'd love to do like a bungee jump or like skydive i haven't done anything like that

00:51:31.980 oh wow t you'd love to do that yeah i'm scared of heights i don't mind them but i don't want to do

00:51:37.420 that i i don't know i think the skydiving is kind of interesting to see like what that would feel like

00:51:42.920 feel like yeah like being in the air like yeah my brother-in-law is a veteran and he used to do

00:51:48.660 like those dives off where they like jump off planes and then they they parachute themselves

00:51:53.000 yeah yeah he said every time i did it i vomited no i go really he goes yeah every single time i just

00:51:59.040 knew like in the air and no as soon as he landed he'd have to go yak immediately he was like i don't

00:52:04.620 know what it was but it's just every single time maybe i won't be skydiving because that's a fair of

00:52:08.800 mine i'm scared of throwing up me too yeah are you are you metamorphobic or you just don't like it 0.62

00:52:13.280 no i really can't i don't want to be like ever i used to plan you know when we go on school trips

00:52:19.200 yeah i used to know who was carsick in the group yeah and plan where to sit that was far enough away

00:52:28.860 from them out of their view and out of earshot so i couldn't hear it see it feel it nothing

00:52:33.840 and if you're a person that is i'm like do is that a good place for you to be

00:52:40.980 that's a place for you to sit how's that gonna feel like i don't want to be there

00:52:45.500 you're so me i i don't i don't want to do it and i don't want to be next to anyone who might do it

00:52:50.860 who might ever do it around me and it's not even to do with them it's just me i have a terrible fear

00:52:55.320 of it i just i can't me and my sister too my sister's genuinely terrified of it like people

00:53:01.320 vomiting in front of her oh no one time my fiance was uh we were all drunk together in new york and

00:53:06.240 we were in an elevator my sister when she's drunk she's having fun so she's like yeah like being 0.99

00:53:11.060 silly in the elevator and my fiance's like oh god i think i have to throw up just randomly my sister

00:53:16.260 immediately yes that's me now i can't hear anything else now i'm like how when do we get off where do we 0.92

00:53:24.340 go how do i get out of this situation because i don't want to be close to any of it i know i literally

00:53:29.140 was telling i was like you're fine and my sister not laughing not giggling she's literally like 0.74

00:53:32.940 so terrified waiting for the doors to open in the elevator and then i told my fiance shut up you're 0.94

00:53:38.060 scaring my sister it's okay she's not gonna he's not gonna throw up it's fine i was like i have to

00:53:43.320 tell her it's okay he's not gonna throw up and you know but it doesn't help it doesn't help it's

00:53:48.260 still in your brain yeah you're still thinking about it when is it gonna happen will i be far enough

00:53:54.100 away from it i hope i don't hear it or see it how do i avoid it that is a conversation honestly

00:54:01.080 that's a quiet conversation that goes on in my head often just when i'm like all the time it's

00:54:06.900 like a silent fear of throw up oh my god anywhere near you oh my goodness that's real i'm like are

00:54:11.540 they maybe that might not agree with them i don't know what's the thing that might help to calm 0.97

00:54:18.260 stomach like is it ginger ale maybe that's a conversation that goes on damn that's crazy

00:54:23.420 you're i'm so afraid of it it's very bad and for myself i'm like oh what's that what's that feeling 0.79

00:54:30.060 is that feeling am i feeling sick am i not feeling sick no i'm not feeling sick i'm fine i'm fine

00:54:34.040 your brain's working a thousand miles a minute truly all the time every time that's i think

00:54:38.800 something that no one has no ever known about me but that is like a constant conversation of like oh my

00:54:43.780 god how do i avoid i don't really don't want to i don't want to get sick i don't want anyone

00:54:47.320 to get sick around me that's the fear on a plane on a plane it's terrible oh my gosh trapped in the

00:54:54.760 plane we can't move anywhere why have they gone to the bathroom like that they move very very suddenly

00:54:59.240 that's called anxiety queen maybe i think that's what that's called i'm very familiar i one time i

00:55:07.040 told my fiancee i'm like when i think about things i have to do i plan like so far ahead so like i

00:55:14.360 literally told him like like if let's say i'm driving home from work and i'm like okay when i

00:55:18.400 get home i'm going to park in this side of the driveway and then i'm going to get out and i'm

00:55:21.260 going to open with these keys and i'm going to put them in my right hand first and then i'm going to

00:55:24.280 go inside i'm going to put my purse here like i literally plan that's how i think yep and he was

00:55:28.120 like that sounds like a nightmare and i was like you're right it is it is you're right how my life is 0.64

00:55:33.960 ordered yeah and that's why we're so successful thank you at the same fucking time we're always 0.91

00:55:39.080 20 steps ahead truly okay i don't forget anything either me either it drives that's why i thought 0.79

00:55:44.300 you had virgo in your chart i have virgo no i have capricorn taurus and libra oh love are you

00:55:50.680 taurus moon libra rising or i think it's libra moon taurus rising oh love i vibe with tauruses very

00:55:57.000 well well me and capricorn and taurus together and it's crazy it's a lot going on it's like

00:56:03.340 can't tell me nothing uh other fun facts uh you're an avid knitter i am i haven't been able to knit for

00:56:10.400 a very long time but i love knitting and whenever i i'm in like a uh when we're teching if we're doing

00:56:16.540 something like that then i'll be you'll have my knitting needles out yeah you're not beating the

00:56:20.560 80 year old allegations that's for sure i'm telling you you're a big i'm very proud of it no i love that i

00:56:25.920 think that's wonderful you have so many skills and hobbies uh it says one of your early tv

00:56:31.080 appearances was on the uk reality show trust me i'm a teenager yes and i was an 80 year old then

00:56:35.960 a mentor giving advice to parents struggling with difficult teens yes wow yes and i was very good

00:56:42.660 at it i was i took it very seriously i bet yeah i was i was very serious about it and the other two

00:56:49.320 were not taking it seriously at all and i was like what is going on we've been given a job here

00:56:53.520 to help this family figure out what's going on with their teenagers who just can't get it together

00:56:59.100 so here's why can we can we set some rules please and the other two were like aren't we supposed to

00:57:03.700 just be having fun and giving them crazy rules to live by yes and we need to help them they need us

00:57:09.860 they need us that's the point you hate a group project i bet well or do you love running them like

00:57:15.840 the navy i like running them yeah me too i'm always like i'm in charge yeah if we could if i can run it

00:57:22.100 then i'm good with the group which probably makes everyone hate me but it is what it is and we'll end

00:57:28.180 up being successful and then you can go are you happy now yeah exactly you're all okay you may hate

00:57:32.480 me but we did get a good grade so at the end of the day when is a win right all right that's right

00:57:36.980 as long as we scarred for life you got your win goodbye i was like i'm at the helm of the ship

00:57:40.960 and it will get there safely there we are i promise you yes uh it says that you rappelled

00:57:48.640 down into an underground cave system and navigated through it with bear grills on his show running

00:57:53.160 wild yes and i did that during uh i did that when uh when we were shooting wicked

00:57:59.800 on top of all the other fucking things yeah so studio album um box office smash iconic role 0.89

00:58:10.940 and also i did a cave dive with bear grills and that was my regular tuesday 0.97

00:58:15.740 it was so crazy because are you big bear girls fan he's so sweet and but and when i saw the series

00:58:23.940 i was like oh this is kind of fun i think i'm gonna try it and when i did it what was so crazy this is

00:58:31.040 not gonna be the 80 year old allegations at all this next thing so we did this thing and i i really

00:58:37.360 was like i'm gonna be prepared and i got there and he was like you know no one has ever prepared

00:58:42.560 for this the way you know it's all fake right the thing is not fake at all we were outside it was minus

00:58:50.080 two degrees we were in wales it was freezing that's crazy and i was like cool i'm gonna have all the

00:58:56.980 things i need all the the layers that i need i had tea in many different thermos and he was like

00:59:02.700 you have tea i was like yes it's it's cold is this not a thing yeah he was like no i said well i have

00:59:10.140 tea i have soup i have food i have snacks what else do you need he was like people usually just bring

00:59:14.940 alcohol to to repel down why are you so prepared no one has ever been this prepared i was like but how

00:59:23.300 we're outside guys what he's gonna expect that we'll be prepared man you're one of those i i love

00:59:31.060 that about you truly happy yeah everything is that serious do you need a tea i've got some i've got

00:59:53.160 which one is you need tea i've got tea you need water i have water it is what it is if you stay

00:59:58.240 ready you never have to get ready this is it i am never the one that says oh i'm hungry i don't have

01:00:02.700 anything to eat protein and then when you give snacks to others you go and that's why i told you

01:00:10.140 you should start packing snacks this is i told you they get the snack and a lecture my phone is dying 0.94

01:00:14.480 with the cord and the brick which one do you need which one you're so prepared i i fucking love it 0.70

01:00:24.220 this and it helps be the one in the group that's prepared everyone will thank you in the end that's

01:00:29.900 true everyone you're a big hit this is i started carrying a lighter just and i don't even smoke but

01:00:34.640 i started carrying it just in case someone asked me exactly why do you have such a big bag you'll

01:00:39.600 see ask me in three hours make fun of the bag till they need something ask me in three hours

01:00:45.380 i don't know what you're doing with this tiny bag that only holds your phone in your wallet

01:00:49.340 do you see a shop anywhere that you can go and stop for no exactly when are we what are we jumping

01:00:55.480 out the car to go to the shop to the we're not okay right exactly three hours that i'm you're

01:01:14.220 that i think that's great though i think that's why i thought you were virgo you're so prepared it's

01:01:17.840 in it's in my soul yeah it is i think so it's probably the earth sign okay last fun one it says

01:01:22.660 your production company is called edith's daughter in honor of your mother yeah who predicted that 0.91

01:01:27.740 cynthia would become a famous singer and actress when she was two correct she said i was humming

01:01:31.700 and eating and it literally in my baby book says think she will become a singer or doctor or both

01:01:37.920 and technically technically speaking you are doing both yeah at this point at this point cynthia i

01:01:44.580 wouldn't be surprised if you were like well i did get my phd while i was filming wicked too

01:01:49.860 i mean i mean that's why i said you're a man of so many hats a conversation about doing something

01:01:58.980 that that is like a phd it's more like a fellowship than anything oh my god i was being silly and it's

01:02:06.880 fucking true it is it is it is kind of true i knew i had to so i so i was accepted into the uh the 0.71

01:02:17.280 radship fellowship the red ship no radcliffe fellowship that's right radcliffe fellowship at 0.91

01:02:22.820 harvard um and i had to defer because i didn't have time to go um but i have uh since then been in

01:02:31.280 conversations to start it again so something like that i was being silly and i hit i hit it on the mark

01:02:37.560 that's crazy you did i believe you yeah i will honestly someone like you like sometimes i joke around

01:02:44.340 when i say well you know god doesn't give with both hands i think god gave you with hands feet

01:02:47.820 and legs i don't even know god gave you everything i think that's fucking awesome thank you you're a 0.89

01:02:52.040 fucking star you're so amazing you know i feel like i was i was the one that was like oh like i 0.97

01:02:56.680 want to try everything can i try everything and he was like oh all right just go on and everyone you 0.98

01:03:03.400 conquer he's like damn i feel like you need another thing okay rock climbing i think i i was put here 0.79

01:03:08.820 just to entertain him like to entertain god to test the human spirit make me be fun 0.87

01:03:15.480 i think that's what i am like probably like one of the like a little toy that's on earth

01:03:21.440 like having a lot of fun and doing loads of different things right that's entertaining to

01:03:25.680 many people and to the universe no matter their fancy yes they you could you could entertain them 0.98

01:03:30.780 all just what can you do today okay and you do it and then god's like damn she did it again 1.00

01:03:37.600 oh god i gotta think of something harder okay doctor now you got that too i'm working towards it

01:03:44.080 well i'm not so that's how you know you're doing way better than me this is the you are the doctor

01:03:48.020 right here i love doctor this is it and it's and this is a good qualification to have too and also

01:03:56.820 what did you say you had at the beginning of this what was it journalism and oh communications yes

01:04:02.880 come on now yeah well you know you're getting you're getting a doctorate while you're also being

01:04:09.020 elphaba so i mean we're not gonna downplay the degrees here we're not you're right we're both

01:04:16.040 yeah successful talented women who can both sing equally as talented as damn right 1.00

01:04:22.020 i'm giving that part is equal i don't want to say you're better than me because obviously

01:04:27.300 no we do this we're just equally as talented obviously yes but just to kind of wrap us i would

01:04:35.520 love um if you had any advice for any aspiring artists or fucking marine corps soldiers who want 0.95

01:04:41.540 to go into broadway anyone at all who's pursuing the art form and because i know obviously i know

01:04:48.380 wicked was a huge thing for you and i'm so incredibly proud and happy to know that you've

01:04:52.820 done such an incredible job but i know that you've been working for a long time and you've been and so

01:04:57.280 you've been like someone who i truly and this is this is the part where i get a little serious and i

01:05:02.320 jerk you off just a little bit though where i tell you i have admired your work for a very long time i

01:05:07.580 watched your performance of i'm i'm here on the 2016 tonys i watched it on youtube about a thousand 0.98

01:05:12.520 fucking times uh because i just think you're a fucking star i really do and i think you're one of one 0.99

01:05:17.460 and unbelievable and i think you've earned all of the wonderful amazing things you have and i'm so 0.99

01:05:22.640 happy to see you succeeding obviously at the level i think everyone including your mom knew

01:05:28.420 you would be at but more importantly being seen by everyone for more than just that like you

01:05:34.180 are truly a once in a lifetime talent and i have to tell you that the only other person i think of

01:05:39.540 like that is beyonce so it's high praise coming from me and she's not a doctor as far as i know so

01:05:45.780 there you go you got that on her yeah doctor of music that lady she's insane i just think you're 1.00

01:05:50.680 unbelievable i really do and i'm honored to have had you on the show and i think the representation

01:05:55.480 that you serve in many different ways is so important too and it doesn't go unnoticed by

01:06:00.080 people like me and i think you're wonderful thank you very much i think you're amazing too thank you

01:06:03.960 and that's where my jerking off stops unfortunately i have to edge unfortunately but to ask you for your

01:06:10.500 advice i'd love to know if you have any advice for any aspiring artists at the risk of sounding

01:06:14.860 very very corny or hokey when i say this um i i encourage everyone to sort of discover who you

01:06:21.880 are and relish that grow that because i think there's a pressure often to become something other

01:06:30.420 than who you are to turn into something to change who you are to to rebrand who you are instead of

01:06:37.340 getting to know yourself in a deeper way and i think that what i've learned over time is the more

01:06:44.000 i've gotten to know myself the more i've become comfortable with who i am the more open i've

01:06:50.500 become to creating the more open my work has been the more vulnerable my work has been because i i am

01:06:57.660 confident in who i am and that takes time and it's very easy to say be yourself yeah but i i mean it

01:07:05.040 with like the in from the deepest part of myself get to know who you are and get comfortable with

01:07:11.380 who you are and be yourself even when it's hard even when people say actually change that change that

01:07:18.400 there really is one of one of everyone isn't there even if you're a twin you're still different yeah

01:07:24.920 and so if you erase that we all lose the world loses someone yeah right totally and so if your

01:07:32.160 aim is to bring light bring joy bring goodness into the world with your art it has to come from

01:07:39.060 you you the real you absolutely because then it then it is original yeah it's authentic yeah authentic

01:07:45.340 to you are yeah and i think you know so many young artists obviously especially in the theater world

01:07:51.120 they've been watching you for a very long time so they they're all they've been new that you're a 0.99

01:07:55.600 fucking star i'm glad the rest of the world is catching up now but i think you're so fucking 0.99
