00:00:00.000 These men are lazy and these movies are showing us something that could be and like a love that

00:00:07.300 they go out of their way to like do whatever they can exactly and they're like i don't feel

00:00:11.960 represented here i would never do that very much i would never try hard for someone

00:00:15.600 hey everyone and welcome back to another episode of the comment section show starring me

00:00:24.160 your favorite drew everybody knows me everybody loves me but the men

00:00:27.680 hate me and that's okay today is my i have a very very special guest the one and only julian

00:00:34.520 brzynski i am a man and i love drew so there you go there's one that's it you know what and that's

00:00:44.540 all we need just that one thank you i need nothing more just you i'm so excited to have you i'm so

00:00:50.620 excited to be here thank you for having me oh my gosh of course icon ledge the one and only you're

00:00:55.080 one of the first people i actually followed on tiktok no way yeah i think there was like a

00:00:59.000 handful there was probably like 10 or 12 when i was just like a creeper i was just scrolling and

00:01:04.160 watching everyone those were like the days of like the d'amelios and like addison ray were like

00:01:09.360 the girls not that they're not anymore but like they've obviously moved on to like huge celebrities 0.99

00:01:13.960 but at the time they were like the only people i would see because i was never on tiktok yeah and 0.81

00:01:18.600 then i saw you and i was like okay this is the shit i'm talking about i love that thank you i bet 0.63

00:01:23.400 like um it's been a journey i feel like at that time the lace was still showing my hairline was i 0.92

00:01:29.940 like had no idea so it's been a journey the production quality has elevated we've learned

00:01:35.680 about lighting we've learned about i i can't say i'm a makeup artist but i've you know gotten better

00:01:41.860 mastered a uh an eyeliner love euphoria that really helped me um your euphoria videos were so big

00:01:51.000 they were so fun to do they were so were they fun i love that show so much yeah it kind of

00:01:57.880 was um inspiring yeah like i wanted to make those so badly after watching i was like this is incredible

00:02:05.800 like yeah maddie like knocking on that door i was like this is so iconic um so that was like

00:02:11.720 you know it kind of like reignited it for you a little bit for sure there are things that like

00:02:17.260 inspire me that i'm like oh my gosh i would love to you know put my own spin on this like piece of

00:02:23.180 art that inspired me and maybe like inspire somebody else in a different way but like

00:02:27.820 kind of like keeping the same yeah yeah absolutely yeah i what actually got you into tiktok if you

00:02:34.600 don't mind me asking so my ex-boyfriend oh tea already see it was he um you know peace and

00:02:44.700 blessings to him but um he showed it to me and um we actually did a dance together okay and we both

00:02:53.040 posted it and he got like so upset it was my first video on tiktok he posted it and like didn't get

00:02:58.960 very many views and at that time i had no idea you know yeah and i posted it and he got he got so

00:03:04.360 upset because he was like really into it and he was making like these like quirky videos that were

00:03:09.120 you know cute you can drag him it's okay no well you know he he showed me it's up yeah okay

00:03:15.780 you know personally i didn't think they were funny but but you know there are people who don't think

00:03:20.880 you're like you know but like that's just me right i was like what do i know what am i the comedy

00:03:25.400 constable i don't know i don't right i'm like i'm sure people look at mine are like

00:03:29.400 sorry like yo i'm sure someone loves that video you know what i'm sure somebody does and i love

00:03:36.000 that she's not in this room but i'm sure someone loves that video yeah and he showed it to me and

00:03:40.500 then yeah yeah he got mad because mine got like more views not that many but like just like

00:03:45.900 more than better yeah it was the same exact video same exact video it was um

00:03:51.580 um are you trying to remember the song yeah it was a dance and she had um like adidas sweatpants 0.99

00:04:01.660 on and a harvard i remember yeah i remember oh it's like the the shawty i don't mind that one yeah

00:04:09.640 the usher song uh something yeah yeah when it was like with the forever 21 back in the back yeah

00:04:14.580 yeah i remember that's early early tiktok early yeah so then i kind of like scrolled and then once

00:04:21.700 the pandemic hit i was in new york city and i was pursuing music theater i was acting and i was also

00:04:29.860 um a cardio fitness instructor oh look at you yeah it was fun like love it got to dance and like

00:04:36.920 it's called three shout out to 305 fitness they're in new york city and other places as well but it was

00:04:42.220 like live dj live lights oh how fun so so cool it's like going out but like sweating yeah um

00:04:48.160 which i do i do that anyway anyway regardless if fitness is involved i'll be sweating the back of

00:04:54.040 my shirt is always going to be a different color than the front babe um but i wasn't doing anything

00:04:59.620 because both you know because of covid everything shut down yeah so in the first couple weeks i was

00:05:05.960 like watching these rom-coms and these movies that like inspired me from like when i was younger

00:05:12.020 because movies and television have always been like an escape for me yeah so like in middle

00:05:17.960 school and when i was younger and like having trouble finding myself and like um going through

00:05:23.020 bullying and stuff i would always i i'm very blessed with a great family as well so yeah your mom's in

00:05:28.780 your videos all the time shout out mom shout out mom shout out dad hey um so and i had two sisters as

00:05:36.540 well so yeah i didn't always want to like burden them with sadness or like tell them everything that was

00:05:41.620 going on and like that so i always used to go down to the basement and just like put on movies and like

00:05:46.900 watch them and it was such a escape for me yeah and i kind of felt that in the first like two weeks we

00:05:53.380 were doing nothing but like watching movies and and um tv shows yeah and i was kind of watching some of

00:06:01.420 my favorite ones from the past and like new ones as well but it took me back to that pace where i was

00:06:05.940 like oh this is like a safe space yeah and i had wigs and stuff i studied music theater in college so i

00:06:12.600 had like love a costume party still to this day i love a look i'll turn a look bitch i let's go right 1.00

00:06:21.220 like i love a look and i had a ring light from like auditions for music theater yeah yeah and i kind of

00:06:27.460 was like let's like i don't know i was kind of like i can put this fantasy to like a reality by like

00:06:34.180 making my own spin on it and maybe creating like a minute of a safe safe space for somebody else yeah

00:06:42.520 yeah and um and that's why i wanted to be that's why i want to be you know an actor on film and and

00:06:48.660 do all these things to you know provide an escape through characters and like um storylines that

00:06:55.720 people can relate to and also like know that they are safe watching that or like feel different than

00:07:01.120 they are or they can see themselves in you exactly like whoever it is you play yeah screen kind of

00:07:06.500 like how you were doing it when you were watching movies i love that right yeah what's your favorite

00:07:10.220 like early like late 90s early 2000s rom-com so my favorite movie ever has never been kissed

00:07:17.720 i love that movie so i mean josie grossie josie grossie yikes bikes i love that my mom loves that movie

00:07:28.060 too so good i was named after drew barrymore actually iconic t t drew if you ever see this

00:07:33.980 hey drew invite me and julian on your show here's some kristen give me wait up

00:07:39.860 and you've done that movie yeah you have oh i love that that's a great choice so quality choice i still

00:07:49.960 haven't had the kiss like she has but i'm like holding out for it so that kind of kiss thanks for

00:07:55.440 putting it in my mind yeah thanks a lot true thanks actually we're mad at you i'm just kidding

00:07:59.780 we're not we're not mad at you not even a little i think my favorite one of my favorites that i

00:08:04.680 remember all the time is like made in manhattan so good love that movie jennifer lopez movies are 0.55

00:08:09.880 like a different genre they are they're like their own subset of rom-coms you know what i mean they

00:08:15.260 can't do any wrong yeah she's one thing about jlo she's gonna play jlo in every movie and she's 0.98

00:08:21.000 gonna do it flawlessly i remember watching her put on that white suit and i was like damn that 0.63

00:08:26.840 looks good so i'd do that too when he i'd lose my job too oh yeah for voldemort when they when she 0.97

00:08:34.240 comes out in the diamonds and the whole staff like oh her look oh my gosh my sister and i to this day

00:08:40.460 i'm not even kidding every time i see like a harry winston store we go it's not the harry

00:08:45.060 winston diamond reef to this day we still say that i love rom-coms i'm like such a huge fan yeah

00:08:54.260 they're so fun they're like the best yeah and i feel like that's like a i love that you said that

00:08:59.880 was like one of your favorite genres of movies because i feel like i could tell that from your

00:09:03.440 content because you always create i mean obviously you do lots of modern stuff too but you love a good

00:09:08.560 musical you love a good rom-com i love that yeah love a 90s like 2000s rom-com musical right um

00:09:17.700 they don't make them like that anymore they really don't yeah it's different i guess we're growing

00:09:22.580 with it and not that there are amazing movies coming out and amazing rom-coms yeah but there

00:09:27.460 was just something about that time yeah it's just so like untouchable yeah in the cinema department

00:09:33.680 ain't the fashion yeah but just seeing it like in real life where you're like you're watching that

00:09:38.880 and they're like that was the style and it is now again like we're back to y2k right no literally

00:09:44.060 they're so cyclical it's crazy so every time if someone's like besides never been kissed and

00:09:48.820 someone's like i've never seen many rom-coms like what's one you have to what are like your top three

00:09:53.720 you recommend so let's say never been kissed is one of them yes never been kissed rom-com maybe i

00:09:59.540 okay drew barrymore to me is probably a queen of rom-com honestly she is she really conquered them

00:10:05.220 all she has um clueless i would say that is a rom-com that's a great one um and i love 50 first

00:10:15.020 dates i really do oh that's such a good one too her whole like everything about her everything she

00:10:21.240 can do no wrong in my eyes like i i love it no wrong except show me the kiss that i haven't gotten

00:10:27.220 except that that's on you that's her fault yeah okay so speaking of rom-coms that's gonna actually

00:10:32.780 be our topic for today loving them more specifically how they're so gendered in the terms of they're like 1.00

00:10:39.120 they call them chick flicks or whatever one of my first videos to ever go viral i did like

00:10:43.920 very specific red flags and men and like that was my first one to ever go super viral and then

00:10:49.420 i made a follow-up obviously because i angered a bunch of men like i really kicked that hornet's

00:10:53.640 and that makes me giggle so i did it again and in my second i kind of get cold in my second version

00:11:00.060 i literally said if he refers to rom-coms as like chick flicks and that's why he won't watch them

00:11:05.940 boring you're so boring i mean snooze yeah big snooze big loser honestly we hate it you're telling 0.96

00:11:13.800 me you don't want to watch someone fall in love why here's the thing though in all movies that are 0.88

00:11:18.920 like genre action and yeah there is love like there's some fashion in some fashion yeah and

00:11:25.700 there's i guess not in all movies but like a joke or two yeah absolutely you're seeing it it's just

00:11:32.100 in a different light yeah but like i don't know toxic masculinity is keeping them from never been

00:11:37.740 kissed and that's a sad life to live that's crazy that's not worth it i don't think so you guys

00:11:43.900 really should not do that watch that movie like i'm sad for you i literally i guess it's like it's

00:11:52.000 not necessarily rom-com but they kind of are i had like a a marathon with my boyfriend my boyfriend

00:11:57.680 hasn't watched anything like every movie every disney movie every rom-com anything that he's seen

00:12:03.900 i've showed him and he's older than me and i think it's just because like the only he said the only

00:12:09.060 things he ever watched were like animal things when he was growing up and nothing else really and i'm

00:12:13.000 like that's weird yeah it's a weird thing that's strange i was a big maybe i was just an ipad kid

00:12:18.280 before they were ipad kids but like so he hasn't really seen any movies like at all so but we had

00:12:23.340 a marathon and i was showing him all the high school musicals gorgeous they still hold up to this day

00:12:28.880 they are um a classic and i think forever will be held in that light yeah i was trying to show him

00:12:36.740 disney channel original movies all those like cheesy romantic ones so good they hit so hard to show

00:12:42.560 him those i showed him camp rocks love camp he didn't really care for those but he said he liked

00:12:47.660 high school musical more i think camp rock one same and i can't remember two it's not worth remembering

00:12:56.120 tbh lovey demi but i re-watched it recently doesn't hold up the first one though hits hits but i was a

00:13:03.180 big jonas brother person were you ever a boy band person or anyone like obsessed with like any pop stars

00:13:09.160 yes i'm a big ariana grande oh i love her yes i think i've always been

00:13:15.360 i love women and i've always loved pop stars and girl groups same 0.80

00:13:23.160 guy never really i don't know like you know like i had nsync they were fun and yeah same

00:13:31.780 but i can't remember i think i was more i think i was more of a backstreet boys girl

00:13:35.720 which doesn't really make sense now that i look back i feel like nsync was more successful

00:13:40.200 maybe i'm just an underdog but that's okay i remember like 98 degrees like there were some

00:13:45.940 yeah i definitely thought they were hot but did i listen to the music i don't know not really

00:13:52.080 didn't really vibe yeah no but i i'm trying to think of any other boy bands like or just pop

00:13:58.380 princesses like did you go to concerts and stuff love britney yeah i love britney mariah all the

00:14:04.220 all the gals yeah all the girls all the girls love the icons the legends yes the new album so good

00:14:11.540 so good it's on repeat i'm already counting on it being on my on my spotify raptor 2023 very much i

00:14:17.580 literally every five seconds i'm like do it to you

00:14:20.640 like literally i was like oh my god you sounded just like her whoa watch out

00:15:29.140 responsibly okay let's get back to rom-com so that's what we're going to be talking about today

00:15:32.700 and how toxic masculinity is keeping them from cinematic gold that's on them yeah and how they're

00:15:38.820 gendered but they shouldn't be because they're for everyone you can find something in everything so

00:15:42.720 we're gonna be talking about that today and for those of you who don't know what we do here on

00:15:46.120 the comment section is you bring videos that i was tagged in bring them here and we pick them

00:15:50.000 apart laugh kiki share all the giggles all that fun stuff so for this first video i just like to

00:15:56.260 describe them so this one says um this is a tiktok comedian and they're making a pov video with the

00:16:02.560 caption watching a really bad rom-com with your girlfriend so it's like pov you're watching a really

00:16:07.160 bad video and it says uh he pretends to be really upset that he has to watch it makes fun of all the

00:16:13.240 tropes and says the writing is worse than star wars etc star wars is technically rom-com i would

00:16:22.340 say t i can't say that i've seen all of them i will say the one one of my awakenings is that i wanted

00:16:33.180 to be natalie portman in the white like oh my gosh piece oh they're like i don't think it's a lion

00:16:40.240 it's some creature that scratches her back and she's like ah and she has like the three lines in 0.86

00:16:46.320 the back and that was like hot so hot but i was like i want to be her i was like that you know i

00:16:52.860 want the fit i don't care about the storyline very much that yeah but um it was you know star wars has

00:16:59.900 love like there's love in that yeah there's incest too so yeah can't get better writing than incest

00:17:05.800 well i beg to differ i do too i think j-lo and made in manhattan would beg to differ

00:17:11.000 wedding planner sorry the wedding planner oh my god i love that movie i used to watch that movie

00:17:18.300 on repeat on vhs so i like can't remember it right now but when she's like you smell like 0.98

00:17:23.220 macaroni and cheese plums or something i'm like there's a scene in the beginning i remember this

00:17:30.740 so clearly where she's playing with her barbies because she like always cosplayed weddings yeah 1.00

00:17:35.880 as like a kid and that's how she became a wedding planner when she was playing with the barbies i was 1.00

00:17:39.360 like damn if only i had that barbie set like because you know you have barbies that you lose all the 0.99

00:17:44.140 shoes and shit hers were so nice and neat and prim and proper and i was like oh and i was so in 0.96

00:17:48.960 love with it and i was like damn maybe i'll be a wedding planner not honestly mossimo in that movie 0.97

00:17:55.080 hot i kind of was like gray's anatomy that he's on gray's anatomy that what's his name on gray's

00:18:03.260 anatomy karev yeah work that's his name well he can get it yeah work it when they're working out

00:18:11.520 against each other yeah do you remember that scene him and matthew mcconaughey and when they're at

00:18:15.800 their wedding they're like oh she's like oh my gosh and they're in the the um the dance class and

00:18:20.820 they're like i'm like the sexual tension gosh oh my gosh i always think about the m&ms only the

00:18:27.240 brown m&ms yeah less food coloring the way you and i are falling in love we're citing the words

00:18:32.960 this is a rom-com we're living it right now who says you can't enjoy them you know what i mean

00:18:39.260 that's why i'm like i live my life like a rom-com right now it's maybe a horror movie

00:18:44.720 but we haven't had an ending yet so so there you go it's still taking 2023 that's right

00:18:50.600 2023 that's where you're going we love a twist we love that okay so some of the comments on this

00:18:55.560 video this one says i swear to god bro if i have to watch another rom-com with julia styles in it

00:19:01.120 because of my sister i'm gonna lose my shit first of all name more than two to this guy like name 0.84

00:19:09.440 more than two with julia styles specifically i can only think of two to be honest well 10 things 0.99

00:19:15.440 yeah and 10 things i hate about you

00:19:17.160 i but now she's in like the orphan yeah that movie on paramount i believe right that's called range

00:19:28.960 babe that's what that's called oh range i was like it's called range no she has range that's the title

00:19:34.540 she has 10 things i hate about you is a great movie and that's probably the only one he's seen

00:19:40.720 and he didn't like it you can't tell me you didn't tear up when she says the poem oh my god

00:19:45.400 you know what's so funny when i was in high school i took um drama like my freshman year and so one of

00:19:52.960 my semester finals was to do a monologue and every girl like i found i was like oh i'm gonna do that

00:19:59.060 one it has to be a dramatic monologue so i picked her doing the poem and i was like oh my god i'm gonna

00:20:03.800 eat this shit up and then i went and my teacher told me four other girls were doing that and i was like 0.86

00:20:07.960 now i have to change it i simply can't be like every other girl they were doing those ones and 0.99

00:20:11.840 they were doing uh the cinderella story one she's like waiting for you is like waiting for rain this

00:20:17.240 drought useless and disappointing those are like the two that every every girl was doing and i was

00:20:24.100 like damn and she said i'm only letting this many people do each one and like you're too late and i 0.95

00:20:29.020 was like damn i mean you would have it you should do it so i mean i'll just freestyle it and i just 0.96

00:20:34.840 start doing it right now you know what's so funny i did i like those were the ones i was doing i was 0.63

00:20:40.920 doing like sweet ones you know what i mean that they're sad in their very nature but like they're

00:20:45.200 from cute sweet movies yeah um and then i did a hard left and i did um have you ever seen the movie

00:20:51.260 where the heart is i can't say oh my gosh has anyone ever seen that movie where the heart is

00:20:56.960 with natalie isn't natalie foreman and yes yes oh my god girl really watch it it's so dramatic like

00:21:06.480 the monologue i picked was literally so emotionally taxing and heavy and my teacher was like are you

00:21:13.100 sure you want to do this one because the first one i pitched was like waiting for you it's like

00:21:17.140 waiting for rain this year and then i went it was 10 years ago that i was attacked like it was

00:21:23.000 literally so like hard left and that's that's called range range and then i pull off my face

00:21:28.340 and i'm julia styles pleasure to meet you okay let's get back to these comments okay this next

00:21:35.500 one says they're never funny either that's simply not true like good comment that's simply not true

00:21:42.980 but humor is also subjective but there's lots of silly funny jokes in rom-coms all the time

00:21:48.760 even if it's just like a you know like like like a chuckle yeah just like or it's like oh that's

00:21:57.340 you know or you roll your eyes like to me that is like a form of like you're like oh my gosh like so 0.89

00:22:02.000 funny but stupid but like you're just like in your head like oh god even in never been kissed like we 0.96

00:22:07.960 my family and i still make this joke like when he's like do you remember what they called you and 0.99

00:22:11.740 she said josie grossie yeah and he goes i know because i'm the one who made it up we say that all the 0.97

00:22:17.340 time to each other you told me that's not funny that shit hits every time it's so good even the 0.92

00:22:22.600 scene where she gets egged not funny but kind of funny yeah the circumstances are funny okay billy 0.98

00:22:31.720 and it comes out when the girl comes out like the blonde hair is like but then when your mom comes 0.98

00:22:38.000 door i know but also runs off i and that has like an iconic like makeover scene yeah yeah it's so

00:22:47.320 good when her boss like gives her the job like the random job yeah going and he's like what's your

00:22:53.640 name and she's like josie he's like josey she's like josie geller you enroll in high school like

00:23:03.100 you're telling me that's not funny come on you're telling me they're light ear mom you know what i

00:23:09.020 mean that's comedy molly shannon icon ledge icon legend this next one or this last comment says on god

00:23:17.240 this is how romance movies are and it just pisses me off because the plot is so bad you know i just

00:23:23.860 think like i think that toxic masculinity has conditioned you to believe that like you should

00:23:29.720 automatically hate them because women love them you know what i mean i almost feel like they just

00:23:36.100 are me these men are lazy and these movies are showing us something that could be and like a love

00:23:45.880 that they go out of their way to like do whatever they can exactly and they're like i don't feel

00:23:50.820 represented here i would never do that very much i would never try hard for someone on to the next

00:23:55.940 right like i'm like i want a movie man who like does what they do it's like the it's so grand and

00:24:04.520 like it's love is like such a big notion and it doesn't always have to be like that but seeing it

00:24:09.400 on screen there there is like a a want for that yeah absolutely these big things so maybe they just

00:24:16.560 are like i don't have to live up to that it's like boring yeah boring love support empowerment uh 0.97

00:24:23.660 hit so boring i bet you guys who write shit like that they love like the fast and the furious movies 0.89

00:24:29.640 i bet well i myself do love vin diesel so i like him with him yeah i can't say i like hobs and shaw 0.98

00:24:38.700 the spinoff lots of fast furious people are gonna hate me for saying that i'm gonna i have a lot of

00:24:44.460 things to watch but i feel like i watch a lot i highly recommend i may be biased because the rocks in it

00:24:50.100 and he and i are brothers in christ we're both someone but the movie itself is hilarious it's so

00:24:55.680 funny like i think that slapstick kind of humor that he always does with like kevin hart and stuff

00:25:01.300 and that one he's like opposite jason statham and i just their dynamic just works really well

00:25:05.440 they're just so funny but like guys like that love movies like that and or you ask them like

00:25:10.260 what's their favorite movie and they'll lie to you and say citizen kane when like yeah really it's

00:25:15.380 like the batman with heat with heath ledger which is not a bad movie but it's also you're not special

00:25:20.700 for liking that one more right you know what i mean like that's a good movie but probably never

00:25:25.200 heard of it but um it's kind of a deep cut yeah you know not many people are like some people say

00:25:33.400 you know that they like other batmans but that one i don't know if you know this but heath ledger

00:25:37.680 did method acting to do that movie like they give you a whole plot that wikipedia told them when they

00:25:43.340 looked it up you know what i mean yeah it's just kind of like it's exhausting i've seen the movie

00:25:47.060 thank you like it was good all right miss you so hot i think yeah i think that like i don't know i

00:25:56.360 just feel like it's okay to like things if they're silly and light-hearted and they're loving in the

00:26:02.200 very nature and they're not mean or heavy or anything it's okay it doesn't make you any less of

00:26:07.220 who you are exactly and i think like being even if saying like you love a rom-com if that means like

00:26:13.920 you're confident in yourself then that's great but like also there's like why not yeah it's okay

00:26:20.920 yeah you can enjoy it there's something like the movie ps i love you oh such a great movie i mean

00:26:27.720 heavy heavy super heavy but still romantic like a rom technically a rom-com to an extent because

00:26:34.280 there's comedy and romance but it's so heavy and that's like an example of something that i feel

00:26:38.240 like anyone could watch that and be like that was a good movie i liked that i enjoyed that for sure

00:26:42.140 that was sweet it's gonna tug at your emotion no matter what yeah and like rom-coms no matter what

00:26:47.540 and even like movies that i don't necessarily um gravitate towards gravitate towards or watch in my

00:26:53.840 everyday life i think i can relate to something in them yeah exactly see yeah like i'm like that had

00:27:00.260 nothing or raw the only type of movie that you know it's when the story's already been told and

00:27:06.320 it's not like really pushing anything that yeah is you know what the audience or the world needs to

00:27:12.360 hear right now or like pushing joy or just like spreading awareness or knowledge and something that

00:27:17.960 we all need to learn about kind of thing but yeah for me it's just like you can like what you like

00:27:24.080 it doesn't make you like it just makes any better than anyone else yeah like i agree you know it's

00:27:30.540 funny recently too i uh saw that the movie he's just not that into is on netflix yes so i watched it

00:27:38.640 with my boyfriend because he's never seen it so we watched it together he loved it and at the end

00:27:43.480 it was funny because he had told me he watched something else and he was like i was wondering like

00:27:47.580 why i was like feeling this like hatred towards towards bradley cooper because he was in that other

00:27:53.440 thing he watched yeah and i was like it's probably because we just watched that movie and he's like 0.97

00:27:57.120 such a scumbag in that movie he's with scarlet and yeah and he's cheating and he's like just a 0.83

00:28:03.360 creepy awful husband and he was like yeah i remember when he was watching he was like what 0.99

00:28:09.300 when he was like when he was cheating and i was like i know can you believe it horrible great movie 1.00

00:28:14.500 though great movie great lesson i thought of another one crazy stupid love that one was really with 0.91

00:28:19.540 steve carell oh my god i hyper fixated on that movie for a while because it was just such a feel

00:28:24.300 good movie and i loved it so much i love a rom-com oh my god they're the best i know and emma stone is

00:28:29.860 just flawless i'm a stone you know that thing when they're like i don't know not a rom-com but

00:28:38.420 i'm a star her dynamic with ryan gossling in that movie give it to me they have it in la

00:28:45.460 the tension that they have yeah i've actually never seen la la land tea but i've never actually

00:28:49.960 seen it oh my gosh yeah i need to yes i know everyone raved about it so i haven't seen it yet

00:28:54.840 though i loved it i feel like they have the same like um chemistry and relationship as like um george

00:29:04.200 gluene and julie roberts like runaway bride yeah yeah pretty woman i feel like ryan gossling and emma

00:29:10.800 don't have that same like really beautiful like chemistry yeah it just works so well so like

00:29:16.640 like drew barrymore and adam sandler very much yeah their chemistry is so it's just so palpable

00:29:21.520 and believable i think yeah you buy it that's what i love about it like you can you see it yeah oh wow

00:29:27.360 there's love there yeah sometimes i'm like oh i hope they love each other in real life truly i'm like

00:29:32.300 rooting for them in real life i'm like i hope you guys love each other for realsies when a rom-com is 0.76

00:29:35.880 that good and you're like this is real life i'm like i ship you guys if it's not i'm gonna kill 0.88

00:29:40.340 myself okay let's move on to this next uh video so this one says um it's a man being interviewed in

00:29:49.480 this video and he's making the argument that most modern women are narcissists and one of his main

00:29:55.960 points to prove that is that females have grown up thinking that they're the center of the world 1.00

00:30:00.100 because every film is about romance every film has a star trying to get the woman he thinks this

00:30:06.220 is making their egos too big oh man there's a lot to unpack in there well let me tell you something

00:30:12.460 women are the center of the world they created the world also there's no life about women so 1.00

00:30:18.740 who run the world girls the girls the girls most modern women are narcissists i mean 1.00

00:30:27.180 i feel like the word narcissist is so loosely thrown around these days yeah by men especially

00:30:33.680 they so like grossly misdiagnosed i mean they learn one word and they use it like in their everyday

00:30:40.660 it's like you know the people who just like use the word wrong it's just like okay yeah like they we

00:30:46.500 taught them the word gaslight and they haven't known peace since they have been over using and abusing

00:30:51.620 that word like crazy very much they'll be like oh this rom-com it's so much gaslight

00:30:58.360 and you're like what like you're not even using it right yeah that's not the right context but i'm

00:31:06.980 proud of you for trying yeah swing and a miss but you know sweet i think like also there's like

00:31:12.520 narcissism personality disorder this is just a fact um statistically speaking men suffer from that more 0.99

00:31:18.160 you know why because men are empowered more right so that's a fun fact for you bitch 1.00

00:31:24.260 you've learned today there you go and i think to blame all of that on like rom-coms 0.99

00:31:32.320 they also never factor in in in this kind of like argument they never factor in gay people

00:31:38.700 non-binary people asexual people they never factor in any of those people no it's like they're operating

00:31:43.820 under the assumption that every single person adheres to the gender binary every single person

00:31:48.280 is straight and they're like well man chase woman woman think she more valuable it's such a caveman way 1.00

00:31:56.760 of looking at things very much like also everybody's gay let me say that and um in one 0.71

00:32:04.740 that's what johnny sibling said on my show too love johnny hey johnny yeah um he's like everyone's

00:32:11.580 gay just a little but also like if if it was any way around right so think like this person who is 0.81

00:32:20.740 writing this comment yeah like you would have an up you'd be up in arms about that too about like it

00:32:26.940 being like a man being pursued yeah something like yeah that would offend them right they'd be like

00:32:32.900 that's not the man's job the man's job is to chase it very much yeah it would just be like there's no

00:32:38.500 winning no not at all they're never satisfied it's like it's too much one way it's too much the other

00:32:44.140 way like they can't make up their mind to be honest they just want to enjoy the movie just watch not

00:32:49.180 that deep no it's it's never that deep but also if you were to factor in like lesbians yes they're not 1.00

00:32:56.540 attracted to men so there are many lesbians i'm sure that love rom-com what does that do 1.00

00:33:02.880 right that makes no sense let me say though i did you see bros i did actually so what i loved

00:33:10.480 about that is a rom-com for the gays yeah and um for everybody yeah but um like watching rom-coms

00:33:17.920 growing up you know you see like men and women kissing and like partaking in sexual activity that

00:33:23.580 like you don't really blink an eye yeah i was watching bros and though i like experience

00:33:29.440 gay sex i don't know julian's gay i don't know if anyone knows yes um i'm coming out today 0.82

00:33:38.140 i'm gay and it's a safe space here i'm gay um and i love it yeah um but um i was gonna say 0.82

00:33:49.940 watching it on screen watching two men like be intimate yeah even though i experience it i like

00:33:56.600 you almost cringe a little bit yeah you're like that's such a good point not used to seeing

00:34:01.120 for for me gay men in love like represented on screen yeah without it being dramatic yeah or

00:34:11.620 traumatic traumatic yes and those stories are very important and need to be told but there are also

00:34:16.300 joyous rom-coms like bros that have um seeing that on screen is like so empowering but also you're

00:34:22.880 like oh my gosh like what even though like you know it almost feels like you're you're like

00:34:28.420 seeing something that you're not well you're seeing something you're not used to seeing so

00:34:32.960 initially you're like oh my god i can't believe it yeah that's weird right you're thinking in your

00:34:37.840 head that's weird that i feel like shocked you know what i mean because i'm like because that's 0.98

00:34:42.440 just how little it ever happens very much i'm like i'm face to face with a penis like a good amount 0.88

00:34:46.860 in my life but like on screen i'm like oh my god like oh my gosh you're like people are watching

00:34:53.700 this i know this is my mom and i was like i was like she knows what i'm doing

00:34:57.960 that's what i what i also loved um about that movie in particular was like it was like it wasn't all

00:35:06.740 like a beautiful perfect love story it was like the awkwardness of like talking and like are we

00:35:13.960 dating are we not do we like each other do we not like it's like the the ups and downs of it

00:35:19.580 um is what i liked because they've portrayed that in so many other heterosexual movies yeah and it's

00:35:25.200 like dating like when you make dating messy and and confusing and all that it's much more relatable

00:35:29.840 than when if it's like just a perfectly laid out love story right so that's what i liked about it too

00:35:34.520 they made it like awkward and weird when you're like flirting but you don't know if they're flirting

00:35:38.480 back like the part in the club when they're flirting and he thinks they're flirting he turns around

00:35:42.080 and he's gone yeah and he's talking to some other dude he's like oh well then he actually that part

00:35:48.040 where he goes up to him and he's like hey i was trying to kiss you i was like oh my gosh i don't

00:35:53.460 know if i would ever do that to do that but like i loved the confidence like it was amazing and also

00:36:01.180 like they did such a good job of um that is one that i think was so inclusive and like telling the

00:36:10.280 story in a world that like there are things that need to be worked on right there are like things

00:36:15.440 in the community and just like in the world that we are like striving to be better about and like

00:36:20.680 it recognized that while like staying true to a rom-com and like a love thing and and to his

00:36:28.000 it was a man being chased by another man so shocking riddle me that babe okay so the comments on this

00:36:37.200 this first one says if i sat in front of the mirror for hours a day i'd be locked up for most

00:36:42.140 women that's just normal life that's such a like made up thing like where did you hear that that 1.00

00:36:48.340 people sit in front of the mirror yeah like that women are just looking at themselves all the time 1.00

00:36:52.920 like that's such a made up like we have shit to do like i don't have time to sit and look at myself 0.97

00:36:58.360 absolutely not girl sometimes when i catch a glimpse i'm like oh my god i've been walking around like 0.96

00:37:01.940 that all day because i haven't been looking in mirrors sometimes if i put like the front camera

00:37:07.440 on it's literally like i'm like oh my god yeah like sometimes after a video if i like makeup on i

00:37:13.320 take the wig off and i'm like me every day i leave this show the way i rip my hair out immediately and

00:37:21.720 i look like i look like a q-tip when you rub it really hard and you hold it up that's what i look

00:37:25.660 like a lollipop falling on the ground pick it up hairs on it stunning that's what i look like going

00:37:29.720 home every day and i'm just sitting in the car like so i at that point don't put me in front of

00:37:36.120 a mirror i don't want to see it no i don't need to be a part of that i'll take a good like on a good

00:37:40.940 day i'll take a good like i'm not gonna sit in front of it for like 20 minutes but yeah throughout

00:37:46.420 the day you know a minute here a minute there look at yourself you're like tell you look good 0.76

00:37:50.020 today yeah i'm that bitch yeah and it's hard some days i would say that but i'm not like sitting 0.99

00:37:56.820 in front of me or like staring like staring contest with myself you know and it's such a like 0.93

00:38:27.140 today conditions apply it's just one of those fallacies that's constantly spread by misogynists

00:38:34.080 like they're like women are women only care about what they look like they they believe women are 1.00

00:38:39.000 vapid so they believe they hold all their worth and value in what they look like and no one's told

00:38:43.900 them that except other men like they've never gotten that information from an actual woman or

00:38:49.880 a femme identifying person it's just been other men telling them and they're like okay it's good 0.52

00:38:56.440 probably because they've never met one in real life and they never will staying away and they never

00:39:00.980 will i'll make sure of it like i'm gonna make sure no woman ever talks to you watch out okay this next 1.00

00:39:07.280 comment says all films are about a guy all films are about a guy winning over the girl or saving her

00:39:14.880 and she's the prize are you talking about shrek i think so one okay if you are if you're talking

00:39:22.280 about shrek then you're right shrek's a rom-com i'd say it is and it's a great movie although i would say

00:39:29.320 as like a stupid woman who's watching a rom-com i do identify with shrek more than i do with fiona 0.85

00:39:36.020 he just gets me i feel like you know what i mean he's he's angry he's irritable he hates kids 1.00

00:39:44.440 he hates being inconvenienced he eats onions like an apple that's me you like onions i love onions 0.98

00:39:50.780 oh bitch i knew i smelled something just kidding she smells great i just he gets me on a spiritual 1.00

00:39:59.840 level i feel like and a lot of like men who hate me they're like oh princess fiona i'm like put some 0.99

00:40:06.620 respect on my name call me shrek it's queen honey she rules the kingdom and they're all lord farquaad

00:40:13.380 and we all know how that story ended yeah so you know what i mean even when fair godmother tries to

00:40:18.300 foil the plan it's just not gonna happen he's always gonna come out on top it's gonna be shrek

00:40:22.840 and i think too shrek's a top you heard it here first he for sure is oh he for sure is smash

00:40:29.300 i think too with with the shrek thing he like you know like everyone wants to kill him and he's like

00:40:36.840 ah and then they all run away in fear yeah me it's what they can they can talk the talk but they'll

00:40:43.040 never walk the walk amen and you know what i'm gonna get all of you out me swamp if it's the last 0.98

00:40:48.060 thing i do bitch that's what i'm doing on tiktok every day get out me swamp i'm making waffles 1.00

00:40:53.560 the going away party okay last comment on this video um it says all all in all caps women think 0.99

00:41:02.680 they they're they are tens it comes from grandpa telling her that she's a princess hear that enough

00:41:09.860 times and you believe it that's cinderella story yeah and also i'm not very good with grammar but

00:41:17.660 that sounded incorrect yeah it comes from grandpa comes from grandpa telling her she's a princess

00:41:24.360 my grandpa's never told me that has your grandpa ever told you that no i wish she did

00:41:28.620 my grandpa uh when i like first started blowing up on tiktok my grandpa um he goes yeah you know

00:41:37.940 your mom tells me that you're doing stuff on tiktok i go yeah you know this is like when i was like one

00:41:43.340 and a half mil last year and um i go yeah it's pretty cool and he goes yeah uh yeah she told me

00:41:49.880 about i have a tiktok i go oh really and i said do you like uh do you like the videos he goes i don't

00:41:54.860 watch you i go oh okay and he goes i go why and he goes i don't need to see all that whatever that

00:42:04.640 means i don't know what the hell that means i literally was like what do you think i'm doing on

00:42:10.240 there like yeah are you thinking of only fans like and even then if i was doing that be proud of me

00:42:16.640 yeah what i mean because i'm getting my bag and that's all that matters getting bag and saving the

00:42:21.540 world i don't know what he thought i was doing on there but like he was like nah nah and he still

00:42:27.720 to this day hasn't watched me really i think he's just like afraid that i'm doing something that

00:42:32.500 he just doesn't want whatever that means i don't know yeah fill in the blank yourself i guess

00:42:36.620 but he's happy and supportive and we love that we love that we love a grandpa who keeps you humble

00:42:42.360 yeah see that's not a man who called me a princess he never called me a princess but he's been

00:42:47.180 supportive and same same he's treated me like one he's never called me one yeah and that's all that

00:42:53.000 matters but this guy's mom probably doesn't love him so that's probably why he thinks that

00:42:56.660 that's a bummer sending you love i'm not i'm sending you a lot of hate i'm sending you all the

00:43:01.640 hate in the world i'm sending you bad vibes constantly awesome i'll still send you some 0.54

00:43:06.840 love and a hug because i you know i'm sorry i don't know he feels sorry for you that's why

00:43:15.800 yeah yeah i don't but that's okay yeah yin and yang that's the balance not a lot i don't feel

00:43:21.660 that bad in five seconds i'm gonna forget who you are as god intended yeah but maybe he his grandpa

00:43:31.280 never or their their grandpa never called them a princess yeah or a prince or any fairy tale

00:43:37.320 character yeah or just a whoever a toad a shrek a shrek a shrek that's why i said i wish my grandpa

00:43:43.520 called me a shrek i think i would have grown up so narcissistic just staring at the mirror 20 hours a

00:43:51.920 day okay so as we wrap this up uh obviously as a connoisseur and creator of like the cutest rom-com

00:44:02.200 cosplay fantasies and all the different wonderful movies that you've been able to recreate on tiktok

00:44:08.220 what are some what is something you want people to know when it comes to like loving rom-coms or like

00:44:14.200 loving dressing up like you or anything like that what is it you want people to know

00:44:18.060 i think a big lesson i learned um was expressing myself to the fullest and i think before i started

00:44:28.740 making videos i've always been um you know feminine um throughout my life and i think i tried to hide

00:44:39.280 that for a really long time and you know even before the pandemic you you know going out it was like oh

00:44:46.520 how can i look as straight as i can and like all this stuff for just like the norms and thinking

00:44:52.320 what that meant but yeah through these videos i have found a love for myself and just because you

00:44:58.860 know again like liking a rom-com but it's like wearing glitter or stars or anything it doesn't

00:45:04.980 make you any less than who you are yeah absolutely and i have found something that makes me really happy

00:45:11.080 and brings joy and i want people to know that they should follow what they want to do

00:45:16.880 yeah and not be afraid because that's you know one of the key parts of accepting and loving yourself

00:45:24.700 is like expressing yourself in all the ways you can yeah absolutely and you know i hope without fear

00:45:30.880 without fear yeah and i you know i'm still doing it day by day it's still um there are things i'm still

00:45:37.400 trying to love about myself but like we're on that journey and these videos have created

00:45:42.680 for me you know this space where i can be you know masculine or feminine or in between like whatever

00:45:51.480 that means it's so beautiful because it's just like up to us right whatever you want to do and

00:45:56.300 whoever you want to be um you can you can do it all yourself whatever fantasy you have from a movie

00:46:04.080 or anything it's like make it a reality as you know my my creations are you know low budget but in

00:46:12.980 my head it's it's not about you know me the quality of it yes but it means so much more than that yeah

00:46:20.780 and these lessons in these rom-coms right maybe you might not agree but they have like molded us

00:46:26.080 yeah into these like i think a lot of my heart comes from you know rom-coms and things like that

00:46:33.040 where it's like you've seen so many stories that you can relate to and just bring it into your life

00:46:39.000 and it's just like it can it can make it better yeah that's why i i agree with you completely especially

00:46:44.220 on that part because i think like that person was like oh they're making people narcissists or whatever

00:46:50.880 i think it gives people hope i think it inspires people it gives them hope for like a better world

00:46:57.980 a better relationship whether it's platonic or romantic like like you said there's just you could

00:47:03.360 pull anything from a rom-com like there's so many lessons and wonderful things to be plucked out of

00:47:10.360 there and apply to your own life and it doesn't always have to be man chasing woman not at all

00:47:15.900 like it could just be self-love a lot of times like never been kissed there's that's a running theme in

00:47:20.440 that is like her finding herself she finds herself and like yeah she's not josey grist anymore and i and

00:47:26.520 i feel that way too like yeah we all you know self-love is so it's hard yeah but it is like so important

00:47:35.280 so you know you don't have to fully be like you know i guess what the guy would say staring staring

00:47:41.580 in the mirror for the whole day but like just taking those little moments and like loving yourself

00:47:47.220 and finding the things that make you different and loving those as well yeah which so many

00:47:51.500 rom-coms have helped me yeah absolutely love that and i love you thank you so much for coming today
