The Crusty Canuck Podcast - A Poke and a Promise.

00:00:01.000 Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen, coming up the Crusting Hip podcast, episode 113, a

00:00:07.700 poke and a promise.

00:00:08.760 Yes, Quebec language debacles and a possible vaccine passport coming at you pretty quickly.

00:00:15.840 All that and more.

00:00:16.960 Stick around.

00:00:21.780 Hit it, sweetheart. 1.00

00:00:24.000 Because I am hard, you will not like me.

00:00:27.020 Yes, sir.

00:00:30.000 There is no racial bigotry here.

00:00:35.020 There you are always going to work.

00:00:38.880 From Western Canada, this is the Crusty Canuck podcast, a Canadian veteran's point of view

00:00:45.640 on political, social, economic issues and life.

00:00:49.800 Here's Crusty.

00:00:51.440 Yes, ladies and gentlemen, episode 113.

00:00:54.600 I'm Crusty Canuck, your host.

00:00:55.800 And just as a reminder, listener discretion is advised.

00:01:03.780 I use big, nasty swear words.

00:01:05.520 So don't say I didn't warn you.

00:01:06.960 Yes, like I say, a poke and a promise.

00:01:10.440 All this talk about vaccines and passports.

00:01:13.120 And I came across an interesting story about language laws in Quebec.

00:01:16.880 But before that, if you like and hear what you see, please click like and subscribe.

00:01:21.920 Give me a thumbs up.

00:01:46.340 You'll see links in the description as well.

00:01:48.580 So carrying on, a poke and a promise.

00:01:51.660 Yes, of course, there's big talk about vaccine passports, making them necessary, making them

00:01:56.480 mandatory.

00:01:56.940 They're talking about it in Britain, Scandinavia, rest of Europe, the United States, and of

00:02:00.740 course, and beloved, the great white north of Canada.

00:02:03.120 But first, I want to get to a story I came across in the Ottawa Citizen.

00:02:08.100 And what I will do is I'll read this for you here.

00:02:11.100 Just queuing it up.

00:02:12.360 Yes.

00:02:13.560 Immigrant from France fails Quebec's French test for newcomers.

00:02:17.500 Isn't that ironic?

00:02:19.340 A guy from France who drives a truck, who's qualified to drive said vehicle, right?

00:02:25.180 Who's qualified to do magical things, and yet he fails the French test.

00:02:31.200 That's just weird.

00:02:33.120 Anyway, I'll read the story here for you.

00:02:34.880 It comes from the Ottawa Citizen.

00:02:36.020 I'll leave a link in the description there for you, too.

00:02:38.280 Immigrant from France fails Quebec's French test for newcomers, and that comes of the 1.00

00:02:41.260 Ottawa Citizen.

00:02:43.140 He quotes, if I failed it when I'm French, I can understand how someone who is Mexican

00:02:48.000 who doesn't speak French could fail, said the truck driver.

00:02:50.820 His name is Johan Flamin.

00:02:52.820 So I'll just read along here.

00:02:54.400 If someone from France can fail Quebec's French test for immigrants, how hard is it for non-Francophone

00:02:59.900 to pass?

00:03:01.680 Johan Flamin, 39, a truck driver from Limoges, if I'm pronouncing that right, L-I-M-O-G-E-S, 1.00

00:03:08.880 Limoges, France, who came to Quebec in 2018 under the Quebec Experience Programme, wasn't too

00:03:14.780 nervous about taking the French test set by the Department of Immigration, France-ization,

00:03:19.520 Immigration, and Integration.

00:03:21.660 Interesting title.

00:03:23.380 After all, he'd spoken only French his entire life, aside from a smattering of English picked

00:03:27.540 up in school and a long-hung trucking jobs he took in the United States.

00:03:31.600 But much to his surprise, when he took the test more than a year ago, he failed.

00:03:35.960 If I failed it, he says, when I'm French, I can understand how someone who is Mexican

00:03:40.600 who doesn't speak French could fail, he said in an interview on Sunday.

00:03:43.900 Flamin noted when he first arrived in Quebec, he had passed the test for his professional

00:03:47.440 Quebec driver's license entirely in French. 0.54

00:03:50.640 I think it's ridiculous, he said, and rightfully so. 1.00

00:03:53.140 The Quebec Experience Programme fast-tracks permanent residency for foreign students and

00:03:57.200 workers already established in the province.

00:03:59.700 The Coalition Avigny-Quebec government overhauled the program last year after a widespread controversy

00:04:05.300 over the first failed attempt at reform in 2019.

00:04:09.460 Flamin said he doesn't disagree, in principle, with requiring immigrants to prove they speak

00:04:13.640 French, however, he feels the test should not be so hard, a native French speaker has trouble

00:04:18.920 passing.

00:04:20.240 Interesting.

00:04:21.180 Hmm.

00:04:22.040 What tripped him up was the oral comprehension portion, which involved analyzing a recorded

00:04:26.400 conversation from different points of view, including its political content.

00:04:31.020 We're all human.

00:04:31.900 We all have different levels of concentration, he said.

00:04:34.440 Anyone can make a mistake.

00:04:35.660 And he's right there, yes.

00:04:36.860 He also feels the delays in obtaining permanent residency are unacceptably long.

00:04:43.360 In July, he retook the French test and passed, but he still is waiting for his selection certificate.

00:04:49.240 Attracted to Quebec by its wide-open spaces and plentiful work opportunities, Flamin has

00:04:53.440 happily settled in the Boos region with his Quebecois wife.

00:04:58.020 If I had wanted to live in a big city like Montreal, I would have stayed in France, he said.

00:05:02.260 In 2019, the province denied Quebec's selection certificate to a PhD student from France after

00:05:08.800 bureaucrats ruled her level of French wasn't adequate because one of the chapters in her 0.94

00:05:13.500 thesis was in English.

00:05:15.100 This decision was overturned after widespread media coverage.

00:05:20.080 Well, rightfully so, okay?

00:05:21.980 Now, I have personally worked with a lot of Quebecers in my time in the military.

00:05:25.700 And out of all those individuals I have worked with, I might have maybe encountered one individual

00:05:32.040 that was a staunch separatist.

00:05:35.300 And I had to remind that individual that he was wearing a Canadian uniform, reserving

00:05:39.380 Canadian pay, working for Canada.

00:05:44.160 I guess that bum reality bummed him out, really. 0.97

00:05:46.560 But needless to say, I have never had any issues with Quebecers in this country.

00:05:51.420 Never.

00:05:53.240 The bloc, that's a different story.

00:05:56.420 But the average Quebecer, every time I've drove through Quebec and I've tried my best

00:06:00.520 to speak some French, I've had praise for my efforts.

00:06:04.960 I've had praise for some of my pronunciation.

00:06:06.600 That's fantastic.

00:06:08.320 Okay?

00:06:09.240 But when I look at a Quebecer, like, let's say, Maxime Bernier or other members of Parliament

00:06:15.100 who are really, really thick, strong French, okay, so be it.

00:06:18.840 You know?

00:06:19.440 And I've met Quebecers that speak English fluently as what you and I do.

00:06:22.960 And it's never been an issue for me.

00:06:25.820 But what gets me is that when you have one province that puts emphasis on words like

00:06:31.360 Francinization and more or less assimilation to something, why is it such a terrible crime 1.00

00:06:38.740 for the rest of the country to have that too?

00:06:41.340 Right?

00:06:41.480 Why is that such a terrible thing?

00:06:45.300 Why is that terrible?

00:06:46.320 Why is it so bad that, okay, if I'm living in a predominantly English area and I expect

00:06:55.260 people to speak English, but the moment someone complains about that, oh my God, my hands are 0.98

00:06:59.760 raised up and all the wreaths are coming out of the goddamn woodwork. 0.99

00:07:02.340 Oh my God, how dare you? 1.00

00:07:03.400 How racist? 0.88

00:07:03.960 How belligerent?

00:07:05.200 How is that unacceptable here yet it's acceptable to Le Bas-Provence?

00:07:07.920 Something to think about, right?

00:07:10.800 Especially when it happens to a guy and his first language is French, Parisian French,

00:07:17.580 right from France, right from the horse's mouth, right?

00:07:21.800 What would the papers say?

00:07:23.300 What would the outrage say?

00:07:24.480 Let's say if a guy came from Ireland, let's say he came from the Republic of Ireland and

00:07:28.320 he had to write an English test, okay?

00:07:30.720 Do we have that equivalency here in Canada?

00:07:32.400 As far as I know, we don't, okay?

00:07:36.640 I think there's a comprehension that we have to have, especially when people come from different 1.00

00:07:41.780 countries that don't speak any English whatsoever, but I really don't think that there's emphasis

00:07:46.680 on that, to be honest with you, because we're all supposed to be diverse and free and all 0.93

00:07:50.340 this, but when you throw that kind of crap in there, you make things adverse, right? 0.64

00:07:55.780 You constantly make things adverse, which is really unfair, not just to Canadians and English 0.96

00:08:03.520 speakers and French speakers, to people that want a better life.

00:08:21.140 Yes, ladies and gentlemen, carrying on with a poke and a promise.

00:08:24.120 Yeah, I use the term promise because, you know, when we come to a new nation to build

00:08:29.320 a better life, you try to promise yourself to get ahead, and with little things like that,

00:08:34.360 like language laws and barriers like that, you're not really encouraging people to get

00:08:38.640 ahead.

00:08:39.020 You're not encouraging the best that people can be.

00:08:42.320 I personally don't care who comes to Canada for a better life.

00:08:45.600 I don't care what language you speak. 0.94

00:08:47.120 I don't care what your background is. 0.56

00:08:49.420 I don't care what sports you play, whether you play with your friends, play with your loved

00:08:52.720 ones, play with yourself.

00:08:53.640 I don't care.

00:08:54.800 What I care is that you want to contribute.

00:08:57.040 What I care is that you want a better life, and you're willing to work your ass off to

00:09:00.520 do it.

00:09:01.640 Isn't that what we're all supposed to be doing now, regardless of the pandemic,

00:09:05.000 regardless of the so-called issues that our beloved leaders like to throw down our throats?

00:09:09.700 Right?

00:09:10.660 Common sense, folks.

00:09:12.400 Okay?

00:09:14.060 Like I said, I've worked with a lot of Quebecers that are great people.

00:09:16.440 And I remember a couple of them I actually played hockey with that had trouble understanding

00:09:21.200 the language.

00:09:21.840 And what it comes down to is that being patient and listening.

00:09:25.560 And as long as you can understand each other, as long as you don't expect anyone to write 0.95

00:09:31.520 the great Canadian novel or write another fucking thesaurus, or write a dictionary for you, 0.97

00:09:40.060 everything will be fine. 0.99

00:09:41.200 Okay?

00:09:43.980 And that's the way it should be.

00:09:45.420 I don't care if you speak French or English, or Swahili, Cantonese, Szechuan, Japanese,

00:09:50.760 Korean, Vietnamese.

00:09:52.280 I don't care if he speaks Pashto or Farsi or Hindi.

00:09:55.520 I don't care.

00:09:58.300 It's not the point of what you speak.

00:10:00.380 It's how you identify as an adult and how you want to express yourself.

00:10:05.720 And if you have a hard time speaking the language, then there's resources out there that can

00:10:09.920 help you vis-a-vis English and vis-a-vis French, too.

00:10:14.240 Right? 0.93

00:10:15.440 So, I'm getting so sick and tired of this identity bullshit that numerous tax dollars 0.98

00:10:21.360 get invested into just because a handful of people want to live with the comfort of 0.98

00:10:27.640 la langue being superior.

00:10:30.540 Right?

00:10:31.260 When really there's no superior language in this country.

00:10:33.300 This country was based on English and French perspectives, morals and values.

00:10:39.200 And they're relatively the same.

00:10:41.520 Right?

00:10:41.720 Regardless of what monarchy did this, what monarchy did that.

00:10:45.160 And not to mention the vast amount of languages out there from our First Nations, too.

00:10:49.660 Quite a bit of history.

00:10:51.500 So, while some of these aficionados are squabbling about who's writing a test properly or who's

00:10:56.660 speaking French to the Quebec standard versus the French-Parisian standard, maybe you should

00:11:03.240 look in your backyard and look at some of the Cree languages and the Mohawk languages

00:11:06.480 and the Urquois languages and the Blackfoot languages and the Inuit languages and the

00:11:10.600 Denae languages and the Haida languages.

00:11:13.020 A lot of history in those words.

00:11:15.160 Right?

00:11:16.120 Take a look at that.

00:11:18.380 While we're squabbling about English and French, let's worry about some of those languages, 1.00

00:11:22.380 too.

00:11:22.500 And there's a vast array of history and choices and opportunities that all those languages

00:11:29.160 represent.

00:11:31.560 I like to think because it's Canadian.

00:11:34.040 What it represents.

00:11:35.100 What it does.

00:11:36.260 Right?

00:11:37.100 But, you know, hats off to that Frenchman who tried to get ahead. 1.00

00:11:42.680 You know, shaking his head going, what is this?

00:11:44.640 You know, this is my mother tongue and I failed the language test?

00:11:47.740 What is that?

00:11:48.620 You know?

00:11:49.120 What a joke.

00:11:50.740 Right?

00:11:51.020 Anyway, here's a word for my sponsors.

00:12:21.620 In October of 2015, Lindsay Robbins, like many of her fellow Canadians, was struggling with the turmoil of mental illness.

00:12:30.540 The ups and downs of what she was going through was shaping her realities, and she longed for structure.

00:12:36.080 As luck would have it, that structure presented itself to her in the form of gardening.

00:12:40.540 And through gardening, Lindsay had an awakening that led her to create produce for heroes.

00:12:47.260 Lindsay realized that our veterans were going through their own mental struggles, and through her own experience, she realized the power of community.

00:12:54.840 By desiring to help the way that she had been helped, she has created a program that provides relief to veterans.

00:13:01.340 Her food program, which aims to provide veterans and their families relief from the stresses of food insecurity, and help alleviate the cost of living for those that have sacrificed so much for their country.

00:13:12.300 Whether it's through directly contacting produce for heroes, or through a friend's referral, all veterans and their families living in Canada are welcome.

00:13:20.420 By shining a light on the struggle of veterans and their families, Lindsay is hoping to get her fellow Canadians to hop on board and support Produce for Heroes and our great veterans.

00:13:30.200 If you or a veteran you know needs help, ProduceForHeroes.com is a great place to start. 0.98

00:13:37.020 Well, smack my ass and call me Judy. 1.00

00:13:40.840 Yes, you can reach Scott and Brian at Canaan Gold and Lindsay at Produce for Heroes on my description page under the heading Sponsors. 0.99

00:13:48.040 Anyway, carrying on.

00:13:49.100 A poke and a promise.

00:13:51.980 Yes, yes, of course.

00:13:53.580 Yes, yes.

00:13:54.540 So promises of liberty and diversity.

00:13:57.700 Wow, we have leaders that create adversity.

00:14:00.640 When you look at my thumbnail there, you can see the word adverse with a question mark.

00:14:05.840 Yes, and that's a picture of yours truly there, ladies and gentlemen, with sunglasses on.

00:14:10.080 Little memes I put together every time I do a show.

00:14:13.980 I'm trying to make my own little thumbnails there to keep it authentic and real without any kind of manufacturing BS.

00:14:20.500 But needless to say, I digress.

00:14:23.080 Now we're talking about the whole vaccine passport issue.

00:14:25.720 So, even though vaccines are being brought into this country, slowly but surely.

00:14:32.900 Now they're talking about getting passports.

00:14:35.180 Just talking about the States.

00:14:36.340 I'll leave a couple of links in the description for you guys to read and come up with your own thought and your own thesis on it.

00:14:41.880 But, I don't know, folks. 0.97

00:14:45.260 There's more bullshit creeping as we speak. 0.99

00:14:48.620 Right? 1.00

00:14:49.100 It's just getting ridiculous, you know.

00:14:51.840 More lockdowns.

00:14:52.900 Of course, Ontario and Quebec are feeling them.

00:14:55.100 Every time you turn on the news, you're hearing more stuff from PEI and more stuff from Nova Scotia.

00:14:59.780 And there's one case here, 3,000 cases there. 0.99

00:15:01.960 Oh, my God, the ICUs are fucking getting capacitated. 0.98

00:15:08.220 They're getting overwhelmed, overworked. 0.99

00:15:10.440 And there's still speculation that they're not.

00:15:13.540 Now, you look at anything Canada.

00:15:15.260 Paulie says, Frank B. Vaughan, a few of my other friends in Ontario.

00:15:19.740 They're telling me otherwise.

00:15:21.820 Things are busier, yes.

00:15:22.960 Things are getting tighter.

00:15:25.600 But they're not overwhelmed.

00:15:26.940 We hear in the national news that all these hospitals are being overwhelmed, overwhelmed, overwhelmed.

00:15:30.700 So, it's like stockpiles of people that are lining up, apparently.

00:15:34.880 And yet, they still have Walmarts and Costcos open.

00:15:37.600 Right?

00:15:38.240 Restaurants are being closed again.

00:15:39.520 Businesses are being compromised again.

00:15:41.200 And yet, you can hop in an airplane.

00:15:43.420 Right?

00:15:43.980 People are losing their religious right to go out and worship and practice their faith.

00:15:49.480 To eat, drink, and breathe.

00:15:50.680 And eat, drink, and pray.

00:15:53.060 To buy their own merits and their own rights that are set in our Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

00:15:58.860 Right?

00:15:59.080 And yet, they can't do it.

00:16:01.860 But you can hop on an airplane and go elsewhere.

00:16:04.700 Right?

00:16:05.080 And get your test here.

00:16:05.840 Get your test there.

00:16:06.620 And then be locked up in a quarantine hotel upon your return to Canada based on government contracts.

00:16:12.140 Right?

00:16:12.940 So, things aren't perfect, ladies and gentlemen.

00:16:14.820 I'm well aware of it.

00:16:15.760 And when these individuals are saying you have to have a passport, well, is that passport going to guarantee you freedom to go to point A to point B without any other persecution or prosecution or being handed a fine? 0.99

00:16:27.160 I guess in the news today you can see that Arthur Pawlowski, the minister out of Calgary, who literally told those Calgary police officers to get the hell out of his fucking church. 0.98

00:16:35.700 He didn't scream any profanities at him. 0.99

00:16:38.620 But he more or less made the point.

00:16:40.160 Get out, get out, get out. 0.96

00:16:42.700 Don't be like the Gestapo.

00:16:45.020 Right?

00:16:45.320 And they were reluctant to leave, but they couldn't do much because they didn't have a warrant signed by the Queen's bench to infiltrate and investigate and arrest accordingly.

00:16:55.140 So, well done, Mr. Arthur Pawlowski.

00:16:57.120 Well done to you, sir.

00:16:58.740 And I'm going to try to get him onto my Thursday fastball when I can, too.

00:17:03.420 Interesting fellow from what I've read about him and what I've seen.

00:17:07.780 And like I say, I'm not religious myself, ladies and gentlemen, but that doesn't matter.

00:17:12.920 I fought for Canada.

00:17:15.700 I fought for everyone's right.

00:17:17.720 You know, so my brothers and sisters, we fought for everyone's right to do that.

00:17:22.840 You know, that's the idea of being a soldier as far as I know, unless that's changed, too.

00:17:28.180 But it just brings me to parts of that last episode I did where how the NDP wants to abolish it all. 0.97

00:17:34.420 And it gets me to more of the idiocy that's being promoted as we speak, too.

00:17:41.160 So I'll leave some links in the description there, too. 0.96

00:17:44.700 How Elizabeth May and the Greens want to bring down the voting age based on a post-millennial article, too, to 16, right?

00:17:51.820 So they're desperate for a base, ladies and gentlemen.

00:17:54.760 They're not doing this for the good of democracy. 0.99

00:17:56.700 They're not doing this to make things better or make everything equal in sunshine, puppy dogs, fairy tales, and pixie fucking farts. 0.99

00:18:02.600 They want to fuck with our democracy and turn it into a joke. 0.99

00:18:09.920 Now, I remember when I was back in my life when I was 16. 0.99

00:18:12.300 Okay, I was angry.

00:18:13.280 It was punk rock. 1.00

00:18:14.100 I hated the fucking world. 1.00

00:18:15.680 Yeah, proletariat where it's at. 1.00

00:18:17.420 Community, love this, love that. 1.00

00:18:19.040 Fuck yous all. 1.00

00:18:20.120 Bit of a contradiction in itself. 1.00

00:18:21.660 But, yeah, I was an angry little kid. 0.99

00:18:23.660 Why the fuck would I have voting rights? 0.98

00:18:25.180 When I look back at that now, I'm thinking, thank God. 0.99

00:18:30.880 Wow.

00:18:31.880 But that's part of growing up and learning and doing things, right? 0.99

00:18:36.960 Formulating your own opinion, formulating your own way of life, trying to really find what makes you do your own thing and liking it and living with yourself in the whole process, the growing fuck phase. 0.99

00:18:47.000 Now, these fucking know-it-alls want to lower the voting age to 16. 0.99

00:18:51.800 I don't agree with it. 1.00

00:18:54.240 Right?

00:18:55.960 I don't agree with it for the simple fact that you really don't know who the hell you are and that when you're 16 years old, you look at the aesthetics of something.

00:19:05.700 You don't look at the foundation of something because you don't have the maturity yet.

00:19:09.760 That's just my opinion.

00:19:10.860 I could be wrong.

00:19:12.500 You know, tell me what you think.

00:19:13.820 Stay updated and follow Krusty Canuck on Facebook, Twitter, Gap, Telegram, YouTube, and Podbean.

00:19:25.800 Yeah, like I said, ladies and gentlemen, a poke and a promise.

00:19:31.340 I'll leave links in the description about that article.

00:19:33.280 It was quite the interesting little chuckle.

00:19:34.640 I'll let you read it yourself.

00:19:35.540 But it just seems, you know, we're getting up for election and all these parties are scraping the barrel for whatever proving and talking points they can get their hands on just to win favor, right?

00:19:45.200 And, of course, the Greens and the NDPs and the Liberals are all fucking on the same train ride for this UBI thing.

00:19:51.460 So, again, more people are going to go, oh, wow, great, more free stuff. 0.72

00:19:54.700 I guess I don't have to thank myself because the government's going to give me at least 500 bucks a month just to sit in my hands and pick my nose and play video games, right?

00:20:02.260 Oh, that's so productive, isn't it?

00:20:04.560 Right?

00:20:04.940 What a great way to stand up for what's right by receiving a handout that comes from Canadian taxpayer dollars, right?

00:20:11.480 But they don't see the bigger picture in that, too.

00:20:15.140 Well, if hyperinflation hits, and then what?

00:20:18.800 Right?

00:20:20.180 What's going to happen after that?

00:20:21.320 More jobs are going to be gone.

00:20:23.020 More businesses are going to close up.

00:20:25.360 Right?

00:20:25.900 You're going to need more police officers to keep things in check, right?

00:20:28.380 You know, to raid churches and to raid businesses and gatherings because they're unlawful.

00:20:33.640 Because they're scared, right?

00:20:35.440 All the Bonnie Henrys, all the Teresa Tams, all the health annuities out there.

00:20:41.480 Dictating terms, even though they're appointed to be health officials, not leaders, right?

00:20:48.800 And that's the thing. 0.99

00:20:50.140 They don't fucking care. 0.99

00:20:52.360 I know George Carlin had a routine about rights. 0.99

00:20:54.860 It's quite interesting.

00:20:56.060 You know, he talked about inherent God-given rights and all this.

00:20:59.060 And he made a very, very valid point.

00:21:01.060 It's like, if it's God's given right, why was it okay for this country to die?

00:21:04.700 And why was this okay for this country to flood?

00:21:06.480 And why did this war happen and all that?

00:21:08.540 And basically, to summarize everything he said,

00:21:11.100 you know, do we really have rights?

00:21:13.280 You know?

00:21:15.900 Do we really have rights in the big scale of things?

00:21:18.000 And I would say yes.

00:21:19.880 You know?

00:21:20.660 I would debate him.

00:21:21.780 You know?

00:21:21.980 I wouldn't disagree with him entirely. 0.99

00:21:24.000 The man was fucking brilliant. 0.99

00:21:24.920 The man was funny as hell. 0.98

00:21:26.340 But there's something worth fighting for.

00:21:29.980 Okay?

00:21:31.980 It's something worth fighting for.

00:21:34.560 If you don't agree with somebody, you don't have to agree with them.

00:21:37.620 But then if you go out of your way to harm that person because you disagree with them,

00:21:41.460 then there's a problem.

00:21:42.840 You know?

00:21:43.000 You don't have to agree with the clergy.

00:21:45.060 You don't have to agree with the Quran.

00:21:46.240 You don't have to agree with the Tova or the Torah or anything Buddhist or anything Hindi.

00:21:51.920 You don't have to agree with the lemon worshippers down the road or the monkey dancers the street over. 1.00

00:21:57.940 But if you go out of your way to harm anybody because you disagree with their policies or they disagree with your policies, 0.99

00:22:04.840 then we've got a fucking problem. 0.99

00:22:06.300 That's just a test of your character. 0.99

00:22:08.420 It has nothing to do with your faith in God or faith in Muhammad or faith in Buddha or faith in the monkey gods and the lemon gods 0.99

00:22:14.940 or even fucking Scientology. 0.99

00:22:19.340 It's in her. 1.00

00:22:20.260 It's in her. 1.00

00:22:21.460 Fucking just weird shit. 1.00

00:22:22.920 But I was raised in a household where you don't condemn anybody for that. 1.00

00:22:29.760 You don't.

00:22:30.480 You're going on a hard time.

00:22:31.540 You can debate and discuss and dialogue is key.

00:22:36.180 But if I invite you into my home and you want to talk about your faith, okay, I will give you that platform.

00:22:41.020 That's just me allowing it, too, in my home.

00:22:43.920 Right?

00:22:44.380 If I go to your house and you want to talk about faith, fine.

00:22:47.900 That's fine, too.

00:22:49.120 You know?

00:22:49.820 But I'm not going to comply.

00:22:52.920 I'm not going to any kind of religious rhetoric.

00:22:55.100 I'm not going to comply to it because I believe myself as a free thinker.

00:22:58.480 And I think there's a majority of Canadians out there that do the same thing, too.

00:23:01.360 But I also want Christians to go to church.

00:23:03.920 I want Muslims to go to mosques. 0.99

00:23:05.300 I want Jews to go to their synagogues. 1.00

00:23:07.640 I want Quebecers to parlez-vous en français. 1.00

00:23:10.500 I want les Anglais to speak English.

00:23:12.980 I want Cantonese Canadians to speak Cantonese.

00:23:15.900 I want Szechuan Canadians to speak Szechuan.

00:23:18.600 I want Korean Canadians to speak their Korean.

00:23:20.580 I want the Cree to speak Cree.

00:23:22.420 The Mohawks to speak Mohawk.

00:23:23.880 I want the Iroquois to speak Iroquois.

00:23:25.700 I want these coasters to speak their Gaelic loud and proud. 0.97

00:23:30.220 Because it doesn't fucking matter as long as we understand. 0.99

00:23:34.340 That fucking simple. 0.98

00:23:37.760 Stay updated and follow Krusty Canuck on Facebook, Twitter, Gap, Telegram, YouTube, and Podbean. 0.98

00:23:45.580 Subscribe today and donate at crustycanuck.ca.

00:23:49.160 And the more and more I hear about these politicians talking about racial divide and identity crisis and language, okay?

00:24:01.440 I took a lot of French in school.

00:24:04.080 And when I was living at the time, there was really no means to use it other than with the French teacher and to get your passing grade and to carry on to the next grade and yada, yada, yada, to quote Jerry Seinfeld.

00:24:15.540 But you know what I mean, right?

00:24:18.300 And until you use the language on a regular basis, you forget it.

00:24:21.400 Now, I learned more French in the military, working with a lot of Quebecers, taking French courses, and getting that grade up there so I could understand a few words and a few sentences and phrases.

00:24:31.180 And the more I practiced, the more I picked up, the more I understood.

00:24:33.640 And the more I embraced the language.

00:24:36.540 And it never fazed me at all.

00:24:37.980 And I was getting praise from some Quebecers, and I was getting praise from my own teachers.

00:24:43.140 And I was also equally giving praise to some of my Quebec friends that were pronouncing words differently, you know, better, so I could understand, you know.

00:24:52.420 Their comprehension, their writing was getting better, and back and forth, back and forth.

00:24:56.260 My writing was getting better.

00:24:57.280 Their writing was getting better.

00:24:58.020 So we were learning something.

00:24:59.560 And it was never an issue.

00:25:00.960 But now we still have a handful of people that want to make it an issue, right?

00:25:06.060 You can't put the word assimilate on a license plate, according to that poor guy in Manitoba a couple years back.

00:25:11.900 But you can have a group of government officials in La Belle-Provence dictate who passes and who fails a French test, right? 0.99

00:25:22.980 The contrast just blows my fucking mind here. 0.97

00:25:25.440 And when I look at Canada, yes, Canada has always been a fucking diverse nation, regardless of the history, okay? 0.99

00:25:35.760 There's a little tidbit that I put on my Facebook page, too, about some, talking about the weather and some climate issue. 0.96

00:25:41.380 And, of course, the token SJW news reporter aficionado was talking about colonialism and capitalism as such a bad thing.

00:25:48.500 And I'd like to remind some of my SJW listeners, if you're out there, if you've got the guts to actually talk to me about something.

00:25:56.220 But if you are listening, it's by chance.

00:25:58.360 I want to remind some of these people that you're not entitled to anything.

00:26:02.660 And it's because of the colonial model we have, or we had, and because of capitalism, is why you go to school and you're employed today.

00:26:12.260 That's all I'm going to say about that, okay? 0.97

00:26:14.420 If you want things to be handed to you on a regular fucking basis, then, one, you either become an invalid, you know? 0.99

00:26:21.200 And I'm not trying to disenfranchise any invalids out there, but you either become an invalid and sit in your basement in your safe space in your bubble wrap and play with your gum and your trading cards and watch your CW channel. 1.00

00:26:34.020 Or you come out to society and start accepting things for what they are, not what you want them to be, okay? 0.98

00:26:39.740 And I'll leave a link to that fucking little podcast, too. 0.98

00:26:43.240 It was just, it's one of those WTF moments. 1.00

00:26:47.140 What the fuck, right? 0.99

00:26:49.120 Yeah. 1.00

00:26:50.880 So that's going to be my choice of who is going to win the polar vortex of Canadian bullshit, or the Canadian vortex of polar bullshit. 1.00

00:27:02.080 All right. 0.99

00:27:03.880 So, I'll give it to City TV Toronto, further, you know, without further ado, I'll give it to the City TV of Toronto. 1.00

00:27:12.700 They are recipients of the Canadian polar vortex of bullshit. 1.00

00:27:17.600 The Canadian polar vortex of bullshit. 1.00

00:27:22.180 It goes to City TV Toronto for putting up such a stupid report, and I'll leave the link in the description for you guys to listen to. 1.00

00:27:31.140 And it's only a few seconds long, but just that rhetoric about climate change and all this is because of the colonial and the capitalist model. 0.99

00:27:37.740 Oh, my God.

00:27:39.100 Yeah.

00:27:39.560 So that has been... 1.00

00:27:41.180 The Canadian polar vortex of bullshit. 1.00

00:27:47.020 And that goes to City TV of Toronto. 1.00

00:27:48.800 So, maybe City TV as a whole, too.

00:27:51.020 I don't know.

00:27:51.660 But I remember City being pretty cool at one time.

00:27:54.680 And I've talked about this before, but I don't know.

00:27:57.420 Mainstream media has just gone downhill, ladies and gentlemen, both of our countries.

00:28:00.720 My American listeners and my Canadian listeners and my Eastern European listeners, too.

00:28:05.060 A lot of the mainstream media has gone to crap to promote all these narratives in regards to vaccines and regards to the COVID and the beer bugs and to this race and that race and this group and that group. 0.99

00:28:17.480 And who wears slippers and who doesn't wear slippers and who picks their nose and who wipes their own ass. 1.00

00:28:22.220 It's just ridiculous. 1.00

00:28:25.080 It's just turning into a real poop show. 0.95

00:28:26.840 But, like I always try to say, there is light somewhere.

00:28:31.440 There is light in this chaos, ladies and gentlemen.

00:28:34.520 We just got to keep fighting for it.

00:28:35.840 Stay updated and follow Krusty Canuck on Facebook, Twitter, Gap, Telegram, YouTube, and Podbean.

00:28:47.860 Which also brings me, too, to this Thursday's Fastball.

00:28:53.220 I'm working on a guest as we speak.

00:28:55.240 She's a young lady out of northern Alberta.

00:28:57.180 She's a business owner. 1.00

00:28:58.780 Quite the warrior.

00:29:01.240 She does freedom rallies and everything.

00:29:03.120 But I'm just confirming times and issues there.

00:29:07.080 But we'll have a guest this Thursday on the Fastball.

00:29:10.780 I'll just go over my last Fastball there.

00:29:12.640 One of my last Fastballs was Stephen Buffalo.

00:29:14.560 And if you want to check him out, too, please check him out.

00:29:19.160 Stephen B. at IRCCanada.ca.

00:29:23.700 He's Indian Resources of Council of Canada, present CEO.

00:29:28.260 And he's got quite a lot to say.

00:29:30.300 And if you get a chance to, ladies and gentlemen, please check out the Adam Daniel-Mosee Hidden Gem Livestream Podcast.

00:29:37.340 I'm a regular on his show, on his panel there.

00:29:39.640 We talk about politics, social dilemmas, and just life in this country that we call Canada.

00:29:46.520 So please tune into that.

00:29:47.920 We didn't have an episode this weekend because of the Easter issue.

00:29:53.020 Plus, we both have wives and families, what have you.

00:29:57.120 So we're all looking at it ourselves, just trying to make the time.

00:29:59.980 But I'm pretty sure we'll have an episode next Sunday at 4 p.m. Mountain Standard, 6 p.m. Eastern.

00:30:06.320 So if those individuals want to weigh in and watch us on the Hidden Gem Livestream, please join us.

00:30:12.940 Ask all the questions you'd like to know.

00:30:15.100 It's hosted by Adam Daniel-Mosee, all-around Canadian guy, producer, director, actor, writer, creative genius extraordinaire.

00:30:23.520 So please check out his work as well.

00:30:25.540 If you get a chance, check out the Fred Stockman Podcast, too, on Anchor FM.

00:30:28.380 As far as I know, he's not on YouTube anymore, but please check him out at Anchor FM.

00:30:34.040 Look for Fred Stockman.

00:30:34.940 He's quite the American and Commonwealth history buff, too.

00:30:38.300 Quizzing a young man out of Massachusetts. 0.84

00:30:40.360 Kiwi-American, all-around great guy, and I got a lot of respect for him, so he's pretty good.

00:30:46.020 And also check out Frank P. Vaughn's work, too.

00:30:48.580 Another Canadian out of Eastern Ontario does wonderful things, great stories, informative, thorough, family man, blue-collar guy.

00:30:58.580 Check him out as well.

00:30:59.580 And, of course, check me out, too, crustycanuck.ca.

00:31:02.880 And pay attention to my community page on YouTube and updates on my Facebook page.

00:31:07.460 I try to get updates for all my listeners and fans out there when I put up a new episode, new content.

00:31:12.780 So keep yourself up to date by checking those out, too.

00:31:15.700 Anyway, again, carrying on with more of the A Poke and a Promise.

00:31:19.620 Yes, it sounds like a bad prom date.

00:31:24.220 She said she'd give me a poke, and she promised me she'd do it.

00:31:28.080 Oh, what am I going to do now?

00:31:30.240 Well, you know, I just had to come up with a catchy title.

00:31:33.140 But that's where it's going, folks.

00:31:35.980 Everybody's so worried about vaccines, and yet there are people who get these vaccines,

00:31:39.180 and yet they're still told where they can go and not go.

00:31:42.200 So my question is, is that once you get your shot or your two shots, does that mean you're immune to any infection,

00:31:49.160 or does that mean you're not immune?

00:31:51.520 That means you just have to sit in your hands and wait for a biscuit.

00:31:54.460 Which is it?

00:31:55.780 All right?

00:31:57.360 And now you need proof of vaccination everywhere you go now.

00:32:00.940 So not only do you need your regular passport if you're leaving the country,

00:32:03.940 you've got to get yourself your needle book, too.

00:32:05.780 All right?

00:32:07.140 Now, I've heard a couple people in the distance talking about how, oh, well, you know,

00:32:11.300 every time you travel to this tropic island or this area, you've got to get these shots and those shots anyway.

00:32:16.620 And I said, yeah, well, these are shots that are supposed to protect you,

00:32:20.220 i.e. from malaria and tetanus, you know, diphtheria, dysentery, you know, typhoid,

00:32:26.700 you know, stuff that used to kill people prior to refrigeration and proper sanitation, you know, that kind of stuff.

00:32:33.200 But these things, I know, they're still talking in the wind, you know,

00:32:37.820 hoping for pixie dust to come and bless everybody with magical powers, right?

00:32:42.500 No.

00:32:43.560 So that's my concern with the vaccines.

00:32:47.000 Now, I'm not an anti-vaxxer, per se, but I'm an anti-bullshitter, too. 0.96

00:32:54.220 And I, for one, I'm very skeptical when it comes to it because my wife and I, we haven't been sick.

00:32:59.600 We've had a couple of head colds last a couple of days, no biggie.

00:33:03.600 But, you know, you take some Buckleys or you take some Dristan or, you know,

00:33:07.620 take some Sudafed or some Advils, get some sleep, drink some tea, drink lots of water,

00:33:14.840 constantly blow your nose.

00:33:15.980 Oh, you're good to go, right?

00:33:17.720 Adequate rest.

00:33:19.100 What else do you need?

00:33:20.500 Rather than some so-called liberal, and I will call them liberal because they're very liberal-minded

00:33:25.560 when it comes to telling us what to do, yet they're very, very dictatorial when it comes to telling us how to live, too, right?

00:33:31.580 Especially the sound of how many of them are getting paid $300,000 a year to tell us how to be safe

00:33:37.300 when they've been caught traveling around the country whenever the hell they wanted to. 0.98

00:33:42.060 So, I don't care what the science says, science gets bought and paid every fucking day. 0.92

00:33:49.720 So, all I can say is we have to keep our wits about us and do what we think is right, you know? 0.94

00:33:55.880 And like I've said in my last few episodes, too, we're going to have to demand the questions, demand the answers, too.

00:34:00.200 And do what we can to get the truth to find light at the end of the tunnel.

00:34:15.980 And like I've said, a poke and a promise, ladies and gentlemen.

00:34:21.120 So, we get all these pokes and then promised what?

00:34:24.680 Sovereignty, liberty, you know? 0.99

00:34:27.100 Open up the fucking stores already. 1.00

00:34:28.620 Enough of this shit. 1.00

00:34:29.480 Weather's getting better out there. 1.00

00:34:30.520 People want to get outside.

00:34:32.060 You know, hats off again to Pastor Arthur Pulaski,

00:34:35.660 a Polish immigrant who lived through and survived communism,

00:34:39.620 witnessed the Solidarity Movement,

00:34:41.400 come to Canada for a better life.

00:34:42.580 And this guy does a wonderful job.

00:34:44.720 So, I'm going to try to get him on my Thursday fastball if I can, too.

00:34:49.120 I'll try to get him on there, have a good talk with him about his freedom fighting

00:34:52.120 and the amount of tickets and the harassment he received from the Calgary Police Service

00:34:55.860 over the past year when he was reaching out and being charitable to people, right?

00:35:01.160 So, I'm going to try to get him on the show if I can, too.

00:35:03.820 And a special thanks out there, again, to Tiffany and Tammy

00:35:06.340 for sending me the links and sending me lots of information.

00:35:09.220 I want to thank all my fans, too, who have sent me some wonderful emails the past three days.

00:35:13.940 Wow.

00:35:14.700 I'm overwhelmed.

00:35:15.520 I'm not going to mention your names.

00:35:17.160 There was one individual who has sent me about 100 emails.

00:35:21.840 So, thank you.

00:35:24.180 Thank you very much for that.

00:35:26.220 And I'll try to keep up as best as I can,

00:35:27.980 but I get a lot of this information, and it's hard to read and keep up, folks.

00:35:32.440 So, there's a lot of people out there who have sent me some really warm thoughts and prayers.

00:35:36.900 And thank you.

00:35:37.700 I'm the deepest of my heart.

00:35:38.980 Thank you very much.

00:35:40.100 And I'm grateful that I have listeners and fans such as yourselves

00:35:42.620 showing me this information and spreading the word out, too.

00:35:46.280 So, please, keep liking, subscribing, and sharing this all around.

00:35:50.160 All your social media platforms.

00:35:52.080 Get the word out there, right?

00:35:54.540 And especially the people that come out to my premieres, too,

00:35:57.260 who say some kind words and give me a thumbs up and words of encouragement.

00:36:00.680 It's much appreciated, ladies and gentlemen.

00:36:02.820 From the bottom of my heart, thank you very much.

00:36:04.580 I'm going to keep doing it, and I'm going to keep doing it because of people like you.

00:36:07.400 And please consider donating if you can, too.

00:36:09.640 I want to make this a full-time commitment,

00:36:11.040 and I need people like yourselves out there to make it happen

00:36:14.140 and to help me make it happen.

00:36:16.100 So, I'll keep putting out the work,

00:36:18.060 and just keep giving the time and do what you can to help each other out.

00:36:21.900 But like I say, it is now 2.30 p.m.

00:36:26.740 It's the 6th of April.

00:36:28.280 Wonderful day outside.

00:36:29.180 I've got some yard work to do.

00:36:30.880 I'm going to tick around there with some of the grass,

00:36:32.720 put my garden stuff together.

00:36:34.540 It's getting warmer, so I'm going to start overturning my dirt.

00:36:37.320 And I'll find my seeds, so I'll be planting those probably in May.

00:36:42.000 By the meantime, I'll be prepping the soil, getting everything ready to go

00:36:44.700 for this season's gardening, and hopefully I'll have a good crop come out.

00:36:49.660 So, like I say, ladies and gentlemen,

00:36:52.240 we've got to do what we can to help each other out.

00:36:54.080 I'm still going to do my best for the Veterans Coalition Party.

00:36:56.260 I'll leave links in the description for you guys to look at

00:36:58.740 and look at our manifest and all that good stuff too.

00:37:01.360 And let's just hope things are going to go well for us.

00:37:06.080 Try to be optimistic as best we can.

00:37:08.480 Do what we can to help our neighbors out and our friends out and loved ones.

00:37:11.380 You know, like I say, a little bit of effort to help your neighbor

00:37:13.680 with groceries or whatever yard work.

00:37:16.240 You know, let's look after our elders, look after our seniors.

00:37:18.980 Let's do what we can to help each other out.

00:37:20.520 Don't buy this racial narrative.

00:37:21.800 Don't buy this gender narrative anymore. 1.00

00:37:23.960 I'm so sick of it.

00:37:25.160 And I can honestly say a lot of my fans are getting sick of it too.

00:37:30.360 Like I say, look after your friends and loved ones, ladies and gentlemen.

00:37:33.940 Do what we can to help each other out.

00:37:37.020 And remember, humanity and merit wins the day.

00:37:41.700 Take care, and I'll see you probably Thursday

00:37:44.300 on the Krusty Kynike Thursday Fastball. 0.94

00:37:50.160 Bye for now.

00:37:50.800 Bye for now.

00:37:55.160 Hit it, sweetheart. 1.00

00:37:57.120 Because I am hard, you will not like me.

00:38:00.080 Yes, sir.

00:38:03.540 There is no racial bigotry here.

00:38:08.400 There you are always going to work.
