The Crusty Canuck Podcast - Ep# 152 Uncertainty is what lies ahead...

00:00:00.000 Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. It's a beautiful 14th of October, 2021.

00:00:04.540 Coming up with the Crusty Guy podcast, episode 152, Uncertainty.

00:00:10.100 It's what lies ahead, ladies and gentlemen.

00:00:12.900 All that and more, listener discretion is advised.

00:00:16.340 Please, stick around.

00:00:22.620 Hit it, sweetheart. 1.00

00:00:24.840 Because I am hard, you will not like me.

00:00:27.500 Yes, sir.

00:00:31.000 There is no racial bigotry here.

00:00:36.020 There you are all is what we want.

00:00:39.900 From Western Canada, this is the Crusty Canuck podcast, a Canadian veteran's point of view

00:00:46.760 on political, social, economic issues, and life.

00:00:50.920 Here's Crusty.

00:00:54.000 That's right, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to episode 152.

00:00:56.660 Uncertainty is what lies ahead.

00:00:58.620 That's what my speculation is for this country thus far.

00:01:02.240 I'm your host, Crusty Canuck.

00:01:03.640 And listener discretion is advised.

00:01:05.180 I like to swear a lot.

00:01:06.020 And if you like and hear what you see, please click like, subscribe.

00:01:08.880 And don't forget to comment.

00:01:10.120 Help with the algorithm up there, too.

00:01:12.120 That's right, ladies and gentlemen.

00:01:13.260 Uncertainty.

00:01:13.620 So, in today's headlines, we have a lot of stories in regards to the mannequin that was

00:01:17.680 seen in an Edmonton ICU training facility.

00:01:22.020 Yes, I'm guilty for posting it on my Facebook page.

00:01:24.900 Nonetheless, I put it there just to promote the fact that there's some journalists out 0.99

00:01:29.780 there that just don't give a shit about what they're saying. 0.98

00:01:32.000 And needless to say, I've read different articles from the National Post, from other conglomerates. 0.98

00:01:37.760 And basically, it was a training session that was set up in regards to displaying to the

00:01:43.200 general public what an ICU looks like when someone has the beer bug and they're plugged

00:01:48.140 into a breather or a ventilator.

00:01:50.880 Needless to say, ladies and gentlemen, it doesn't look good.

00:01:52.980 So, more uncertainty lingers and lies around.

00:01:56.260 Been an interesting week or so in the name of Canadian politics, especially in regards

00:02:00.220 to Krista Freeland, now in the States, talking about border opening and all that stuff in

00:02:04.060 the economy.

00:02:04.940 But you've heard my rant and raves in regards to how the federal government in this country

00:02:09.260 doesn't care about people like you or me.

00:02:11.180 We've heard it enough times more than enough.

00:02:13.700 Blah, blah, blah. 0.99

00:02:14.420 Oh, Krusty Kanak, again, is saying all this crap about the government. 0.99

00:02:16.920 And we all know it, too, ladies and gentlemen. 0.98

00:02:18.440 Like I said, you know, we live in a day and age where there is a lot of fear mongering

00:02:23.420 going on, a lot of finger pointing, a lot of blaming, you know, non-vaccinated, oh, my

00:02:28.280 God, towards the vaccinated, what have you. 0.95

00:02:31.800 And it's just getting ridiculous.

00:02:33.940 Now, I'll say again and reiterate, if you want to get the vaccine, go and get the vaccine,

00:02:39.200 ladies and gentlemen.

00:02:39.840 If you don't want the vaccine, then don't do it.

00:02:42.340 It's that simple.

00:02:43.860 Okay.

00:02:44.220 But we're seeing the headlines in national news in regards to how the Maple Leafs are

00:02:49.520 going to open up Air Canada Centre again or Scotiabank Place, let them play hockey,

00:02:54.800 full capacity.

00:02:55.700 We watched some footage yesterday in regards to Team Canada kicking Panama's butt for World

00:03:00.480 Qualification or World Cup Qualification matches.

00:03:04.760 And BMO Field was almost to full capacity.

00:03:08.480 So I'm starting to think that things are winding down regardless of what province you live in

00:03:12.200 the country or not, too.

00:03:13.300 Now, no one in their right mind is denying the fact that COVID is not real.

00:03:20.560 Okay.

00:03:20.900 Now, in the first few months of it spreading, I was speculative because we weren't hearing

00:03:25.800 a lot of details on it because you used to have health ministers that would say this,

00:03:29.720 health officials saying that.

00:03:31.520 You'd have Dr. 0.98

00:03:32.140 Teresa Tam telling you to stick your ding-ding into a hole for the sake of safe sex, wear a 1.00

00:03:36.900 mask when you're having sex. 1.00

00:03:38.000 And Ms. 0.74

00:03:38.860 Haydew telling us where to stay, where not to go, where not to be. 0.67

00:03:42.560 And yet she's traveling all over the province via airways, dictating to us what we have to

00:03:47.180 do.

00:03:47.880 So I can see the uncertainty there, ladies and gentlemen.

00:03:51.420 I can see why any person, anybody with common sense would be uncertain in regards to the rules

00:03:57.360 and all these lockdowns and everything like that. 0.95

00:03:59.040 I, for one, saying end the lockdowns now, let's get the shit on the go here, and let's get back 0.95

00:04:04.060 to some normalcy again. 0.90

00:04:05.740 I'm talking real normalcy where you can go outside and have fun with your friends and family,

00:04:09.560 where you can go outside and play.

00:04:11.380 Come in wintertime, go out for a skate, play some hockey.

00:04:15.300 You know, in the wintertime, go out and enjoy regular festivities in the summertime, springtime,

00:04:21.220 et cetera.

00:04:22.840 Basically reinstating the freedom yet once again.

00:04:25.620 But unfortunately, the way things are working out now economically and socially, things are

00:04:32.320 getting tougher too.

00:04:36.220 It's turning into more and more fear, ladies and gentlemen, more and more fear when it comes

00:04:41.160 to getting things done, right?

00:04:43.600 Yours truly is in search for work.

00:04:45.700 Yours truly is looking for a steady job, okay?

00:04:48.740 But because of you, my viewers and listeners, you've given me purpose every other day too

00:04:52.600 to put an episode up there to entertain you to the best of my ability.

00:04:56.340 And I'm very, very thankful for that, ladies and gentlemen, right?

00:04:59.160 Like I say, if you like and hear what you see, please click like and subscribe.

00:05:02.440 Share this all around.

00:05:03.340 Do not forget to comment too.

00:05:04.700 I'm trying to get some more comments built up on my YouTube channel.

00:05:07.660 At least help the algorithm going on there so people are paying attention.

00:05:11.520 And please, if you do like and hear what you see, please consider donating too, ladies and

00:05:15.640 gentlemen.

00:05:16.340 You can also donate at my webpage at crustycanuck.ca slash donations.

00:05:19.800 I have a PayPal subscription and the Buy Me Coffee subscription too.

00:05:24.780 So please consider that.

00:05:25.820 Anyway, carrying on with more uncertainty, it lies ahead.

00:05:27.980 Yes, we're not getting the concrete answers as we should, ladies and gentlemen, especially

00:05:32.380 in regards to what's going on in the fiscal future, okay?

00:05:36.960 Like I said earlier, Ms. Freeland's down in the States pleading with the Americans to let 0.99

00:05:40.340 us come in and all this good stuff, okay?

00:05:43.020 But I think it's more of a deterrent, if anything.

00:05:45.620 Just like how people are speculating how Mr. O'Toole is not going to keep his leadership

00:05:50.300 on the Conservative Party on the national level too.

00:05:54.020 There's been a lot of speculation.

00:05:55.940 And yours truly, because I ran in the federal election, I got to see some of how the leadership

00:06:01.520 on all parties are promoting the welfare of their members and the welfare of their constituents.

00:06:08.680 And it doesn't look pretty, ladies and gentlemen.

00:06:10.440 It doesn't look pretty at all.

00:06:11.640 And yes, I will run in the next federal election if it comes around.

00:06:18.720 Hopefully in the next couple of years, we'll see.

00:06:20.640 I don't know.

00:06:21.700 The thing is too, when I look back at this election, nothing ventured, nothing gained.

00:06:25.780 I think the Liberals got two more seats and the Conservatives stayed at 119.

00:06:29.180 And I think the NDP gained one more seat and the Block lost two seats or something.

00:06:33.840 But the Greens got another seat.

00:06:35.080 So there wasn't too much of a difference on the national scale, however, too.

00:06:38.260 But when I'm looking at all the uncertainty of these parties, okay, the Greens can't sort 0.99

00:06:43.240 their crap out. 0.96

00:06:44.620 You know, Anna Mae Paul might have said this, might have done that. 1.00

00:06:47.640 Maybe she's a bad person. 0.97

00:06:48.880 Maybe she isn't.

00:06:49.680 I don't know.

00:06:50.100 There's a lot of infighting going on there with her and where she stands on things. 1.00

00:06:54.240 There's also a lot of infighting with the Liberal Cabinet, which is nothing really new.

00:06:57.900 And there's some infighting going on with the Conservatives too.

00:07:00.720 Okay.

00:07:01.220 The Block, I'm not worried about the Block at all.

00:07:03.380 You know, I really don't give two craps about the Block at the moment right now.

00:07:06.400 So what I care about is the sake of keeping this government together to do what it's supposed

00:07:11.840 to bloody do.

00:07:12.880 Because we both know how they all get paid and how much they get paid and how much they

00:07:18.580 brag about it and how many more government jobs they have created in the name of the 1.00

00:07:23.300 economy, which we know is just a tactic to deter us from, you know, actually asking the

00:07:28.320 tough questions.

00:07:29.280 But that's typical too. 1.00

00:07:31.720 No needless to say, it's turning into a real shit show. 0.98

00:07:33.820 So no wonder there's a lot of uncertainty on their parts, ladies and gentlemen. 0.98

00:07:37.000 Yours truly is not sure what lies ahead, to be honest with you.

00:07:40.500 I could speculate all I want.

00:07:44.520 And there's always going to be something that's going through a wrench in the system.

00:08:54.240 for you, my wonderful audience out there.

00:08:56.560 Anyway, carrying on.

00:08:57.360 The uncertainty, it does lie ahead.

00:09:01.700 It's getting tougher.

00:09:02.700 There's a lot of jobs out there for people to grab and for people to take.

00:09:05.240 Like, yours truly, I have been hunting high and low for meaningful work to keep the lights

00:09:10.220 on, but every little bit helps.

00:09:13.360 That's why I'm always pleading every episode, if you can donate, please consider donating.

00:09:16.800 Become a permanent donator every month.

00:09:19.300 You can enter as much as you can, but it's getting tough for everybody, ladies and gentlemen.

00:09:24.240 And there's a lot of employers out there too that constantly want to instill more fear

00:09:28.820 as well.

00:09:30.500 Okay.

00:09:31.640 Now, I don't believe in the vaccine passports whatsoever.

00:09:35.240 I don't believe in having to show someone your papers.

00:09:38.220 You know, you go to sit down with your wife or a loved one or a family member or a friend

00:09:41.320 and having somebody in the waitstaff or the security staff checking your ID to see if

00:09:49.720 you have the shots or not.

00:09:52.660 I don't buy that.

00:09:54.140 I personally think that's a violation of your privacy, period.

00:09:58.140 Really?

00:09:58.880 That's like saying to somebody, did you wipe today?

00:10:01.820 You know, did you?

00:10:04.460 Now, did you do that today?

00:10:06.420 Not that it's anybody's business, but, you know, I think it catch my drift.

00:10:10.480 Now, and I can understand when it comes to wanting people to be safe and to be secure.

00:10:14.800 Okay.

00:10:15.480 But let's look at this realistically, ladies and gentlemen.

00:10:17.640 The more you try to enforce that on people, the more you're going to deter people from

00:10:23.340 going to your establishment.

00:10:25.240 Okay.

00:10:25.580 And considering the amount of hard times we have had the past year and a half, pretty

00:10:30.580 well, close to bloody two years now.

00:10:33.020 Can you really afford to do that to your business?

00:10:36.180 Hmm.

00:10:36.840 Or you don't want hassle from the AHS or any kind of health authority, but then you become

00:10:40.980 the hasslers and the bulliers yourselves.

00:10:43.360 You see what I'm getting at here?

00:10:45.300 Right.

00:10:46.240 Now I haven't had any problems with any establishments that are probably because I don't have a lot

00:10:49.740 of money to go out and take my wife to a nice dinner at the moment, but I haven't had

00:10:54.560 any real problems.

00:10:55.260 You know, I'll wear a mask if I have to.

00:10:57.420 Yeah.

00:10:57.640 Okay.

00:10:58.360 For longer periods of time though, I can't because I have anxiety issues when it comes to that.

00:11:02.420 And I actually have a medical chat that states that I cannot wear this mask for long periods

00:11:08.540 of time.

00:11:09.440 And I've dealt with a couple of employers that have said they have accommodated me on

00:11:12.980 said situation and never bothered to do so.

00:11:16.360 So there's quite a bit of contradiction out there, ladies and gentlemen, in the rural areas

00:11:19.740 and the smaller towns and the bigger towns and the bigger cities in this province too.

00:11:23.600 So there's quite a bit hypocrisy out there telling people what to effing do, right? 0.50

00:11:30.900 More of this monkey see, monkey do, do as I say, not as I do, right? 0.98

00:11:35.880 It's starting at a real poop show.

00:11:37.400 And I can honestly say a lot of people are getting angry, getting angry at all of this,

00:11:42.400 you know, finger wagging, finger pointing.

00:11:44.740 Oh my goodness.

00:11:45.900 How dare you have an opinion against this?

00:11:47.940 How dare you have an opinion against that? 0.99

00:11:49.640 And it's getting ridiculous. 0.97

00:11:52.240 All the little witch hunts and all the snitch lines that are coming and going.

00:11:56.260 True North News did a great story about the snitch lines.

00:11:59.220 The Andrew Lawton Show, I'll leave a link to that show there too.

00:12:02.540 You can think for your, or listen to yourselves there, ladies and gentlemen.

00:12:05.720 But again, more snitches are coming out.

00:12:09.840 Okay.

00:12:10.740 More snitches are coming out of the way to work to prove what? 1.00

00:12:14.180 You're doing your part for public safety by ratting on your neighbors.

00:12:17.320 That's a great thing.

00:12:18.520 And it's not just coming from a few NGOs here, you know, non-government offices.

00:12:23.460 It's being encouraged by the Saskatchewan government and the Alberta government alike in regards to telling on people.

00:12:31.280 Right?

00:12:32.020 Now, how is that going to be effective?

00:12:33.720 How is that going to help freedom?

00:12:35.100 How is that going to help personal security?

00:12:37.440 Is it a sense of security?

00:12:39.020 A sense of comfort?

00:12:40.740 Right?

00:12:41.180 I'm doing my part of the community by telling on people because they're conglomerating over here having a picnic lunch or they're conglomerating over there sitting there playing a reach around.

00:12:50.620 Is that a viable solution, ladies and gentlemen?

00:12:54.060 Is that showing your neighborly tactics?

00:12:57.020 Is that being very, very tactful?

00:12:58.460 Showing kindness and consideration to people?

00:13:00.320 That's what we need to do though, is to be kind and considerate.

00:13:03.500 You know, we've all heard the saying, those snitches get stitches, right? 1.00

00:13:06.320 Yeah, well, I'm not one to promote that kind of violence.

00:13:11.440 But it's getting to the point where you're backing people into a corner though, ladies and gentlemen.

00:13:14.980 You are.

00:13:16.040 So when you think about snitching on somebody who is not wearing a mask or who's not being socially distant or walking the imaginary line that has been submitted for your approval in the name of safety, I highly suggest you think twice.

00:13:33.860 Okay?

00:13:34.260 Think about it.

00:13:34.920 Because it's going to have its repercussion.

00:13:36.740 It is.

00:13:38.100 Okay?

00:13:39.800 It's going to have its repercussion and you're not going to like the result.

00:13:57.240 Yeah, so once again, we're back to episode 152, Uncertainty is what lies ahead.

00:14:02.840 Now, I've had a few emails the past week in regards to where I stand and where some of my fans and some new fans have stood.

00:14:12.240 And they told me not to mention their name on the show, which I won't, but because the information they have given me, they have showed me some other insights and other perspectives when it comes to the safety and the harnessing and what have you.

00:14:26.640 And see, that's the problem, though, too.

00:14:28.800 One individual used the word harness.

00:14:32.100 We have to harness things.

00:14:34.880 Don't you harness prey?

00:14:37.800 Okay?

00:14:38.080 Don't you lasso and harness a calf during a rodeo? 0.91

00:14:42.540 Don't you harness animals and livestock?

00:14:46.780 Interesting.

00:14:47.620 We're playing words.

00:14:48.940 And I promised as individual I would not display his words on my show.

00:14:52.900 But needless to say, when he used the word harness, I'm like, okay, interesting.

00:14:59.200 Maybe I'm reading too much into it.

00:15:01.340 But the email basically stayed we have to harness and make sure we do no more harm.

00:15:06.540 And it's like, well, people aren't livestock, buddy.

00:15:08.520 So if you're watching this right now there, Buckeye, maybe you should use better context and display and say exactly what you mean next time you write me an email to that standard.

00:15:21.280 We don't need to harness people.

00:15:23.980 We don't need to herd people.

00:15:26.800 Let people do their effing thing.

00:15:28.820 It's that simple. 0.99

00:15:30.760 It's shit simple, to be honest with you. 0.97

00:15:33.320 It's not a new dynamic. 0.98

00:15:35.120 It's not a new social spectrum.

00:15:37.540 Right?

00:15:37.880 Right?

00:15:39.060 It's common sense.

00:15:41.640 Common sense.

00:15:42.880 And yet, I don't care where you're educated.

00:15:45.100 I don't care where you've been.

00:15:46.580 I don't care what your worldview is.

00:15:48.500 When you start saying, well, you have to harness people here and harness people there, I get a little concerned.

00:15:54.900 Because I've seen the results of harnessing people.

00:15:58.920 And trust me, it doesn't look too good.

00:16:02.480 It didn't look good in Afghanistan.

00:16:05.020 Do you honestly think it's going to look good here?

00:16:06.700 Anyway, I digress.

00:16:08.740 More of the uncertainties there, too.

00:16:10.920 I highly recommend to my listeners and viewers out there, too.

00:16:14.360 Please keep asking the tough questions, if you can.

00:16:19.100 Keep doing it.

00:16:21.860 Because, you know, Parliament hasn't sat in session yet.

00:16:24.880 They're still taking their sweet FA, sweet F in time to get this done, to get that done.

00:16:31.520 Right?

00:16:31.920 And it doesn't look like they're going to be sitting in Parliament anytime soon because they have to, you know, go back and forth on holidays and what have you.

00:16:38.760 And, of course, there have been members of the Queen's opposition stating how disappointed they are in regards to how Justin took his time in Tofino, like I mentioned in last week's episode.

00:16:49.280 He'd rather go surf than deal with any real problems.

00:16:52.320 And now we also have an issue with clean water in Equalit up in the Nunavut area, Northwest Territories or formerly Northwest Territories.

00:16:59.880 Anyway, the Canadian Arctic, to my American listeners out there and my European listeners, too.

00:17:04.960 So, there's an issue with that whole town having contaminated water.

00:17:10.280 Apparently, people are smelling diesel when they turn on their faucets.

00:17:13.340 So, the whole water table is contaminated, as far as I know, or at least the plant isn't working up to snuff.

00:17:19.800 Now, what gets me is that there's been a clean water issue with our First Nation Reserve for a very, very long time now.

00:17:25.680 And now the national news is holding on to this story for dear life.

00:17:30.660 What's different to that than the reservation issues?

00:17:34.380 What is different?

00:17:35.720 Not much.

00:17:37.480 It just goes to show the media's priority here, too.

00:17:40.740 Okay.

00:17:41.060 One of the platforms we had, or we still have in the Veterans Coalition Party, is that clean water for all.

00:17:47.820 And that's a municipal and a provincial thing, too, as far as we're concerned, too.

00:17:52.140 Right?

00:17:52.800 If your municipality has issues with running water and clean water, then you've got to sort the municipality out.

00:17:58.360 Right?

00:17:58.580 And if you can't snort the municipality out, or snort, sort the municipalities out, then you've got to get the province to step in there and sort it out for you.

00:18:07.740 That's what they're paid to do.

00:18:08.860 Right?

00:18:09.080 So, why does a town in the northern part of the planet have issues with clean water?

00:18:16.860 Why does any town in this country have issues with clean water?

00:18:19.920 Because someone's getting paid, something was ignored, and something wasn't done.

00:18:24.140 Okay? 0.99

00:18:24.620 So, you can obviously say human error, big time, human fucking error at its finest. 0.98

00:18:29.420 It can also say a lack of respect and a lack of courage to do the hard work to get things done. 0.98

00:18:35.920 So, somebody is getting greedy.

00:18:37.680 Someone's taking funds and screwing the pooch and screwing the people.

00:18:42.240 That's the best way I can speculate it.

00:18:45.020 What say you?

00:18:45.880 So, please let me know, ladies and gentlemen.

00:18:48.660 You can reach me via email at gmail.crustybcanuck67 at gmail.com.

00:18:57.080 Give me your thoughts.

00:18:57.820 Let me know, too.

00:18:59.120 And you can also find me at Rumble, Breitin, and Wimkin, too.

00:19:02.400 Every time I load these videos, I load it up on those three platforms.

00:19:05.440 I'm working on getting a Super U account, too.

00:19:08.560 I hear great things about that.

00:19:10.560 But please, share all this stuff around.

00:19:12.920 Commentary and thumbs up, likes, all that good stuff is encouraged.

00:19:16.400 And please, give me a comment or two.

00:19:18.680 Anyway, carrying on again with more of the uncertainty.

00:19:22.140 The more I think about it, the more it kind of drives me up the wall.

00:19:26.160 And I'm sure it drives you up the wall, too, ladies and gentlemen.

00:19:29.000 You know, we can sit here all day and go, what if, what if, what if, what if.

00:19:33.560 But we're still not getting concrete answers.

00:19:37.740 Okay?

00:19:38.100 And it doesn't matter if we go to a municipal representative or a provincial representative or a federal representative.

00:19:44.260 It doesn't matter if it's an MLA, an MP, a mayor-to-be, a town council person.

00:19:49.340 We're not getting the concrete answers.

00:19:53.360 Because my speculation is this.

00:19:54.860 It's all a quest for power.

00:19:56.840 How much more power do people need? 0.98

00:19:59.560 Let's keep veying for more power over another. 0.99

00:20:01.880 Let's keep doing the old, you know, back and forth, checkmate, checkers, checkmate, checkers, over and over again.

00:20:10.600 And for what?

00:20:12.720 Is liberty such a terrible thing to taste?

00:20:17.680 I've tasted liberty.

00:20:18.880 It's fantastic.

00:20:20.700 What say you?

00:20:22.500 Right?

00:20:23.240 In regards to how uncertain these times are going to be, we still have to maintain a level head to the best of our abilities, ladies and gentlemen.

00:20:29.800 I can sit here all day and talk about innovations when it comes to being kind to people.

00:20:37.400 But we've got to start in the basics again.

00:20:39.920 Back from the ground up.

00:20:41.040 Just like I said during my campaign, back to basics.

00:20:44.100 You see someone struggling, give them a hand.

00:20:45.800 You see someone hurt, help them out.

00:20:47.140 You see someone crying or someone in pain, do what you can to help them out. 0.98

00:20:51.340 And if they look at you and say, leave me the fuck alone, oh, okay, then leave me alone. 0.68

00:20:56.180 But if someone needs a hand, don't hesitate. 0.99

00:20:58.920 Right?

00:20:59.800 We can all help each other out here.

00:21:01.160 The best thing to do is to be neighborly at the best of our ability.

00:21:03.520 And it doesn't matter if you're religious.

00:21:04.580 It doesn't matter if you're not religious.

00:21:05.980 It doesn't matter if you're gay, straight, bi, tri. 0.98

00:21:11.600 Excuse me.

00:21:12.520 Or whatever abbreviation is trendy today.

00:21:15.480 It's about being decent to people.

00:21:16.980 To the best of our abilities.

00:21:19.540 And set the better example that we are given every time we turn on the boob tube or read a paper.

00:21:26.240 Right?

00:21:26.260 There's still speculation in regards to censorship in this country, too.

00:21:29.780 Are they going to promote C10?

00:21:31.360 Are they going to promote C36?

00:21:33.220 Are they still going to do that?

00:21:35.180 To tell us what to think and what to say and what to write and how to be.

00:21:38.720 How to wipe ourselves.

00:21:40.000 How to pick our nose.

00:21:40.920 How to make love to our loved ones.

00:21:42.580 How to hold our spouse ever so tightly and romantically.

00:21:46.300 Are they going to tell us once again to put our privates in a glory hole and hope for a kiss and maybe a reach around.

00:21:55.780 Who's to say, ladies and gentlemen, who's to say.

00:21:57.820 But it doesn't look too promising when these guys keep talking.

00:22:00.460 It's the same thing over and over again.

00:22:06.200 Yeah.

00:22:07.340 They all say the same things.

00:22:08.940 And you would have hoped that this election might have changed that, too.

00:22:13.200 But it also goes to show that there's a lot of people who love the comfort.

00:22:19.040 Right?

00:22:19.540 Who love the comfort and the idea of the safety keeping them warm at night.

00:22:25.280 When they fail to realize that what keeps them warm at night is fossil fuels.

00:22:30.620 Right?

00:22:31.740 And certain coal plants.

00:22:33.600 And certain wood stoves.

00:22:35.520 And lots of electricity.

00:22:37.820 Right?

00:22:38.180 But, you know, they wanted safety and comfort over reality and democracy.

00:22:45.640 Like I say, once again, ladies and gentlemen, please consider donating, too.

00:22:49.380 And once again, consider the t-shirt and mug offer, too.

00:22:52.700 Like I say, you throw five bucks in at my Patreon page on Podbean.

00:22:57.440 You automatically get entered to win a free t-shirt, postage paid from yours truly.

00:23:04.800 And if you throw $10 a month in, you automatically get entered into winning that mug.

00:23:10.200 Like I say, I'll put the picture up again here for you.

00:23:12.920 All right.

00:23:13.520 $10 or more a month, you'll be entered to win this mug.

00:23:16.260 It comes in black and red, ladies and gentlemen, too.

00:23:18.640 So go to my Patreon page on Podbean.com forward slash Krusty Canuck, throw in your $10.

00:23:26.920 And hopefully you get yourself a nice, swaggy Krusty Canuck mug.

00:23:31.720 Or, $5 a month, you can get the t-shirt.

00:23:35.920 Basic pattern, black t-shirt, Krusty Canuck podcast.

00:23:40.540 On the back of it says, Humanity and Merit Wins the Day.

00:23:43.500 So that way, as a fan and as a subscriber to the show, you can display the brand proudly

00:23:48.580 and brag about how many times you listen to the Krusty Canuck podcast, ladies and gentlemen.

00:23:53.000 But like I say, you know, uncertainty is what lies ahead.

00:23:57.420 And I think I validated that point enough to everybody here today so far.

00:24:02.160 Anyway, carrying on again with more of my rantings and ramblings.

00:24:05.380 Right?

00:24:06.780 This past week has been interesting.

00:24:08.480 I had a little episode there yesterday.

00:24:09.920 I was getting angry, getting upset.

00:24:14.480 And the way things were working out.

00:24:16.460 And we're all struggling one way or the other, ladies and gentlemen.

00:24:19.800 This pandemic and the leadership calling the shots has proven it.

00:24:24.440 And a lot of these individuals have reared their ugliness in regards to helping people

00:24:28.920 and doing what they can for people.

00:24:30.400 And it's going to be up to us once again.

00:24:32.220 Like I've said, up to people like you, me, your neighbors, your friends, your family,

00:24:36.640 your loved ones, lovers, whomever, the common folk, you know, people that aren't part of the political elite

00:24:43.320 or part of the Laurentian elite or part of any kind of elite.

00:24:48.020 It's going to take blue-collar people like you and me to get the job done.

00:24:54.000 Okay?

00:24:54.400 And the example we should put forward, especially the individuals that look up to us,

00:25:00.540 like my nieces, my nephews, my younger sister, some of my friends from high school that I still talk with today

00:25:06.360 that I love dearly, right?

00:25:09.360 And my wife especially.

00:25:12.100 We have to get out there and promote the better example to the best of our abilities.

00:25:16.380 So the more we promote the better example, the more, well, the more certain we're going to be.

00:25:23.180 It's that simple.

00:25:25.100 You know, we've got to stop treating politicians like they're gods.

00:25:27.980 They're not gods.

00:25:28.720 They're just people too who happen to be lucky in some circumstances.

00:25:32.800 Okay?

00:25:33.280 And you look at the leadership of this country on a federal level, look at how many of those individuals

00:25:38.540 have never, ever really struggled for anything in their lives,

00:25:42.820 who have never, ever really had to want for anything in their lives

00:25:45.560 because they came from a great background, because their parents made some better decisions,

00:25:50.120 or their grandparents made some better decisions to set up little nest eggs and little funds

00:25:54.900 and little this here and there.

00:25:56.740 You know, little slaps and tickles left and right as we speak.

00:25:59.860 And yet people like you and me, my listeners, and not just my listeners in Canada,

00:26:04.360 but my American friends, my British friends, my German, French, my Turkish friends,

00:26:08.700 some of my Indian friends, some of the listeners that have come from across the ocean

00:26:13.380 who have waited and said some wonderful things about my show.

00:26:18.000 They don't have the humbling that you and I do.

00:26:22.300 Okay?

00:26:23.720 They're afraid to be humbled.

00:26:25.260 They're afraid to be humiliated.

00:26:26.720 That's why they want to promote these laws about anti-hate speech

00:26:29.820 and saying bad words to journalists.

00:26:32.120 Oh my God, what are we going to do?

00:26:34.560 You're going to be an adult and learn how to suck it up properly. 1.00

00:26:37.440 Show some fucking resilience. 1.00

00:26:38.860 Get some backbone. 1.00

00:26:40.080 Right?

00:26:40.380 The way our fathers taught us, you know? 0.99

00:26:43.760 Now, I admit, the human psyche cannot take a lot of garbage. 0.68

00:26:48.440 But I think you and I as adults, ladies and gentlemen, 0.97

00:26:50.760 we can understand which is garbage, which is good information,

00:26:53.760 and which is bad information.

00:26:55.060 And we as individuals, we can decide that for ourselves

00:26:58.740 when it comes to what we want to watch in television,

00:27:00.840 what we want to read in our newspapers,

00:27:02.200 what you want to listen to here online,

00:27:05.040 and what you want to do with your time.

00:27:06.800 And we don't need Big Brother to watch it for us.

00:27:08.960 So, I'm telling you, Mr. Stephen Gobert and Prime Minister Trudeau,

00:27:13.720 whenever you find the time, sir, to come to work

00:27:15.860 and do the real hard work as it takes to lead this country,

00:27:19.320 and you too, Ms. Freeland,

00:27:20.500 I don't care if you're gallivanting in the States

00:27:22.000 or not talking about open borders and policies.

00:27:27.280 Take the reins as you should, as you're paid to do.

00:27:30.660 Okay?

00:27:31.640 And that goes for the conservative counterparts,

00:27:33.460 and that goes for the NDP counterparts,

00:27:34.820 and the Greens. 1.00

00:27:35.600 When you decide to get rid of your fucking soap operas, 1.00

00:27:38.680 and you too, les blocs, right? 0.99

00:27:42.080 And stop encouraging people

00:27:43.760 to be entitled to magical things.

00:27:47.240 Because we're not entitled.

00:27:48.360 We have to make it ourselves.

00:27:49.600 But we're entitled to the options and the opportunities.

00:27:52.920 Okay?

00:27:53.100 No more rules, no more regulations.

00:27:54.680 Just let people be.

00:27:55.840 It's that simple.

00:27:56.420 However, a lot of these leaders forget that

00:28:01.540 because they want the control.

00:28:03.680 They want you to live in fear

00:28:04.900 because the more fear you have,

00:28:06.420 the more money they make.

00:28:08.320 Right?

00:28:08.640 The more they justify their pay raises,

00:28:10.640 the more they justify lobbying for this

00:28:12.580 and lobbying for that.

00:28:14.840 Right?

00:28:16.760 It's time that we lobby, ladies and gentlemen.

00:28:18.960 Time that we, you, me, and other listeners out there,

00:28:22.220 it's time that we lobby and do the right thing

00:28:24.140 for us and our families and our loved ones.

00:28:26.380 And whether it's for your country,

00:28:27.980 whether it's for your town, your community,

00:28:30.080 or for your wife, or for your husband,

00:28:31.600 your boyfriend, girlfriend, lover,

00:28:33.640 10 times removed,

00:28:34.880 we can do the right thing to the best of our abilities.

00:28:40.120 Anyway, ladies and gentlemen,

00:28:40.940 this has been another episode of the Cresting Hick Podcast.

00:28:43.340 I know it's been a short and sweet today.

00:28:44.760 Kind of cramped for time,

00:28:46.460 but I just need to get an episode out there too.

00:28:48.380 I'm going to try to get back into the format

00:28:49.740 of doing two episodes a week if I can.

00:28:52.220 But like I say,

00:28:52.760 I'm looking for some steady work

00:28:54.520 to keep the lights on,

00:28:56.060 get my savings back in order

00:28:57.060 because this past year and a half

00:28:59.060 has taken my savings

00:29:00.080 through the effing roof,

00:29:02.520 ladies and gentlemen.

00:29:04.060 Right?

00:29:05.280 Sorry, there's not going to be 1.00

00:29:06.220 any Canadian polar vortex of bullshit today. 0.99

00:29:08.820 I know some of you look forward to that 1.00

00:29:10.120 based on the emails I received this week.

00:29:12.120 You know,

00:29:12.780 give me suggestions on it too.

00:29:14.340 But please, ladies and gentlemen,

00:29:15.220 if you like and hear what you see,

00:29:16.740 send me an email,

00:29:17.920 send me a comment,

00:29:19.040 give me a topic to talk about 1.00

00:29:20.580 when it comes to the polar vortex of bullshit. 0.98

00:29:22.460 I would really appreciate that 1.00

00:29:23.600 if you could too.

00:29:25.220 And do what we can

00:29:26.920 to make these episodes better too.

00:29:29.980 I'm branching out.

00:29:30.880 I'm trying my Patreon again.

00:29:32.340 So I updated my Patreon page.

00:29:33.780 So if you want to check that out

00:29:34.520 and donate there,

00:29:35.120 you can do that too.

00:29:36.320 Like I say,

00:29:36.760 the official stands for mug and t-shirt.

00:29:38.640 Just follow links in the description

00:29:39.860 and I'll leave links to that TNC story

00:29:42.380 and to that mannequin story

00:29:44.140 that they found in the ICU

00:29:45.260 that CBC put on whatever. 1.00

00:29:48.340 It's just a media shit show, 0.99

00:29:51.900 ladies and gentlemen. 1.00

00:29:52.740 Just more garbage for us 0.99

00:29:53.900 to have to swallow 1.00

00:29:54.860 because somebody doesn't want
