Transcript

00:00:00.980 Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. It's a beautiful, well, beautiful night.
00:00:06.540 This is for February 25th, 2024. Come up to the podcast.
00:00:10.740 The online harms bill, C-36, is going to be read in Parliament tomorrow.
00:00:14.620 And an additional $3 billion to Ukraine while our troops get tampons.
00:00:19.940 Oh, the sweet irony. All that and more come up to the podcast.
00:00:23.160 Please stick around. Listener of your discretion may be advised, because I might swear.
00:00:27.260 I might smoke a cigarette. I might make a funny face or two.
00:00:30.920 Please stick around.
00:00:35.440 Hit it, sweetheart.
00:00:37.660 Because I am hard, you will not like me.
00:00:40.620 Yes, sir.
00:00:44.100 There is no racial bigotry here.
00:00:48.960 There you are all is what we work.
00:00:53.000 From Western Canada, this is the Krusty Canuck Podcast.
00:00:57.620 A Canadian veteran's point of view.
00:00:59.920 On political, social, economic issues, and life.
00:01:03.820 Here's Krusty.
00:01:06.480 That's right, ladies and gentlemen.
00:01:07.600 Episode 263 for this beautiful February 25th, 2024.
00:01:12.240 I am your host, Krusty Canuck.
00:01:13.860 And thank you all for the wonderful comments I received in my last video.
00:01:17.400 Pardon me for having some issues with my audio.
00:01:20.180 I think my internet connection was a little faulty.
00:01:22.320 Needless to say, I am here in personnel.
00:01:24.340 I did a sound check, the test, and everything.
00:01:26.880 Everything seems good to go for now, but we'll wait and see.
00:01:31.040 Anyway, this podcast is also brought to you in part and supported by the Veterans for Freedom TV stand, too.
00:01:40.260 Coming soon.
00:01:40.900 Look for my YouTube page and my Facebook page, respectively, for updates on that.
00:01:46.460 Basically, it will be a big network brought to you by veterans like myself and others to keep you informed and keep you entertained.
00:01:53.100 That's Veterans for Freedom TV coming soon.
00:01:55.860 Anyway, like I said, if you like and hear what you see, please click, like, and subscribe.
00:01:59.000 Share this content on all of your social media platforms, too.
00:02:01.220 Please do not forget to comment.
00:02:02.360 Give me a thumbs up, too.
00:02:03.220 It helps the algorithm.
00:02:03.880 That's one of the reasons why I'm talking about Bill C-36 that's in our way.
00:02:11.580 We've already had to deal with Bill C-11, C-18, and Bill C-36.
00:02:16.760 Now, the Online Harms Act is basically meant to protect children.
00:02:20.640 That is the excuse that our liberal overlords are trying to tell us and trying to give us on a daily basis because of certain sextortion issues that are happening with some young men and some young women.
00:02:31.060 And basically, there's just too much garbage on the net today, kind of like television.
00:02:36.920 But then again, our overlords think that we need some kind of regulation and guidance to tell us what we can see online and what we can do online, too.
00:02:46.600 Now, I'll summarize it for you as all out there.
00:02:48.640 Bills C-11, C-18, and C-36 have basically promoted nothing but censorship.
00:02:53.840 Now, you may beg to differ if you're one of those pro-clutching liberals out there that think that everything is hunky-dory and you shouldn't say bad words and you shouldn't say bad things about people as you type and all this, you know, keyboard warriors and all alike.
00:03:09.420 Then maybe the internet's not for you.
00:03:11.480 Maybe you shouldn't be online speaking your mind.
00:03:15.160 Maybe you shouldn't speak your mind at all.
00:03:17.100 Maybe you should go live in a bubble in a 15-minute city like the overlords want us to do.
00:03:21.380 And everything's just hunky-dory.
00:03:24.040 You know, paradise.
00:03:25.880 Everything's just fine.
00:03:27.960 Everything's lovey-dovey and everyone gets along.
00:03:33.220 There's no bad words at all and you'll never, ever, ever be offended again.
00:03:37.720 Or you could show your kids the difference between reality and what's online.
00:03:44.880 You can show your kids that this is not acceptable in this household and you'll not be accessing these pages on this computer, especially if mom and dad are paying for the internet connection.
00:03:54.520 Right?
00:03:55.080 That's self-explanatory.
00:03:56.920 Now, I am all for protecting kids.
00:03:59.220 I am all for protecting children from some really stupid stuff out there.
00:04:03.160 I could blame TikTok for some of the stupid stuff out there that teaches kids that you have to be a Barbie doll or a Ken doll to get ahead in today's world.
00:04:12.640 Or we could have some father figures out there and some other figures out there teach kids properly how to do things.
00:04:20.500 Right?
00:04:20.880 And if that means mom and dad's got to work a bit harder to do it, so be it.
00:04:24.540 My parents taught me simple ethics.
00:04:26.400 You don't judge a book by its cover.
00:04:28.060 Regardless of what you're attracted to.
00:04:30.860 Because sometimes the attractive people out there tend to be real douchebags.
00:04:35.820 And it doesn't matter what gender or how they identify.
00:04:39.620 Right?
00:04:40.000 So, my thing to the government is this.
00:04:42.720 If you're going to sit and promote these Online Harms Acts or whatever you're protecting kids,
00:04:49.380 you're not doing a very good job because you sit there and say you want to protect children,
00:04:54.180 but you don't mind kids going under the knife in the name of gender affirmation.
00:05:01.560 Right?
00:05:02.540 Do you not see the contradictions there?
00:05:04.040 They're going right in front of us, ladies and gentlemen.
00:05:05.920 All this information that has been submitted to you for your approval.
00:05:11.340 Well, they don't care if you approve it or not.
00:05:13.220 They're just going to go ahead and do it anyway.
00:05:14.540 So, I hope to gods, whatever gods are out there, that the Senate doesn't allow this bill to go through.
00:05:21.840 And I don't care if you lean on the left.
00:05:23.440 I don't care if you lean on the right.
00:05:24.560 I don't care if you lean upside down or backwards or two times.
00:05:27.520 Tuesday.
00:05:28.660 It's basically a censorship bill.
00:05:30.700 Now, I'll put an article up here from Global News in regards to what they want to do.
00:05:36.040 And it's basically just a word salad, ladies and gentlemen.
00:05:38.520 It has nothing to do with protecting me, you, little Billy down the road,
00:05:42.080 or the six-year-old kid that likes watching TikTok videos of little cute animals dancing or not.
00:05:46.980 My wife sends me the odd video of a cute little animal here, a cute little animal there.
00:05:50.360 And that's fine.
00:05:50.960 I don't care.
00:05:51.800 Puts a smile on my face.
00:05:52.840 It's all good.
00:05:53.940 Okay?
00:05:54.560 But there are predators out there.
00:05:56.040 There are creatures out there that can do some real nasty things if they had the chance.
00:06:00.820 Now, my logic is this.
00:06:02.000 If the federal government can close bank accounts and pinpoint who gives $10 or $20 or $30 to a noble cause,
00:06:10.260 such as a trucker's convoy, they can bloody well pinpoint some kind of criminal or some kind of cretin
00:06:15.720 or some kind of lowlife, whether they're male or female, that has some kind of sexual trafficking on their mind.
00:06:24.300 Simple enough.
00:06:25.180 You would think.
00:06:25.840 You would think, okay, that they have the ability to do that.
00:06:29.600 With the amount of cybercrimes that have gone on since the Internet's inception that has been made and given to the masses,
00:06:37.140 how many cybercrimes have been going on?
00:06:38.920 Quite a bit.
00:06:39.500 People extorting money.
00:06:40.720 Nigerian princes claiming this.
00:06:42.160 Nigerian princes claiming that.
00:06:43.280 People falling for it.
00:06:44.580 Love scams.
00:06:46.060 Real estate scams.
00:06:47.260 Vacation scams.
00:06:48.400 Time-sharing scams.
00:06:49.860 And now predatory minds out there harming kids.
00:06:53.820 Right?
00:06:55.500 So which is it?
00:06:56.620 I'm just going to tell you, basically, the way I summarize all these bills that have come in the past couple of years
00:07:01.800 in regards to what we do online, it's censorship.
00:07:05.120 That's all it is.
00:07:07.000 They don't want guys like me speaking in his mind.
00:07:09.020 They don't want Veterans for Freedom speaking in their mind.
00:07:10.800 They want Tamara Litch speaking in their mind.
00:07:11.940 They don't want Northern Perspectives speaking in their mind.
00:07:13.440 Radio Reactions speaking in their mind.
00:07:15.040 All the people I have met, Clyde Do Something, Vesper, Marty Up North, all the guys I have met and talked with,
00:07:21.160 they don't want them speaking in their minds.
00:07:24.760 Right?
00:07:25.380 And you notice, too, that UK is pushing on online harms bill, too.
00:07:30.280 Some of our American friends are, too.
00:07:33.280 So you can see things in the bigger picture, how they're going along and trying to make sure that everyone's safe.
00:07:39.800 Right?
00:07:40.240 Which is still a contradiction to our politicians in this country, because if they really wanted to make us safe,
00:07:46.700 they would pinpoint the baddies and leave the innocent people alone.
00:07:52.320 Kind of like how they're treating guns in this country, right?
00:07:55.020 And the OPP just recently busted something about 263 guns in the greater Toronto area,
00:08:01.620 with the assistance of our American friends and Homeland Security.
00:08:03.980 263, apparently, that were confiscated because they're being trafficked into the intercity.
00:08:12.600 So what does that tell you?
00:08:14.120 What does that tell you, ladies and gentlemen?
00:08:15.860 So guys like me who own guns and my friends who hunt and everybody else who sports shoots,
00:08:19.960 I guess we're the criminals, according to them.
00:08:21.820 Well, the OPP just proved them wrong.

00:08:38.500 And that's right, ladies and gentlemen, you're back to episode 263 of the Krusty Canuck Podcast.
00:08:42.580 And this beautiful 25th of February, 2024, online harm C-36 and $3 billion to Ukraine.
00:08:50.660 More money given to our friends in Ukraine.
00:08:53.420 When our men and women have to suffer through tampons in the men's washroom,
00:08:57.740 Canada will be there to support another war without supporting our troops.
00:09:00.880 Isn't that just fun, eh?
00:09:03.100 Oh, yes.
00:09:03.840 Round of applause and round of clap for those individuals that have made those decisions on our behalf
00:09:08.360 to make the world a safer place, I tell you.
00:09:10.980 I tell you.
00:09:11.860 Crack don't smoke itself.
00:09:14.260 If you're liking to hear what you see, ladies and gentlemen, please click, like, and subscribe.
00:09:16.980 Share this content all over your social media platforms.
00:09:18.880 Give me a thumbs up.
00:09:19.480 Give me a comment, too.
00:09:20.900 Especially my rumblers out there.
00:09:22.560 I'm having some issues with my rumble page.
00:09:24.300 And he has to say, if you see my show on Rumble, give me a comment.
00:09:27.320 Give me a like, whatever.
00:09:28.880 Share it all around, too.
00:09:30.060 The more people comment and interact with this, the easier it's going to get for the
00:09:33.800 Canadian algorithm.
00:09:35.060 So other Canucks and other like-minded individuals can watch my show, give me their two cents
00:09:39.980 worth, and then, hey, that's fine.
00:09:41.700 Bob's your uncle.
00:09:42.580 It's that simple.
00:09:43.380 If you don't even like my show, please, give me a comment, too.
00:09:46.300 Whatever.
00:09:47.080 Just make sure if you approach me with some kind of fact or you want to debate me on something,
00:09:51.800 make sure you got your facts together first.
00:09:54.480 Don't clench your pearls.
00:09:55.420 Don't hold on to your balls, your mangina, and try to tell me that the sun is the moon,
00:09:59.560 the moon's the sun, to further a narrative, because I'm not going to buy it, ladies and
00:10:02.940 gentlemen, and neither should you.
00:10:04.740 Anyway, carrying on with this episode.
00:10:06.480 So, as I said, the online harms bill is coming.
00:10:10.080 And here's a little excerpt from the global page there, too.
00:10:14.640 I'll just read along.
00:10:15.740 I'll leave the link in my description for you to follow, ladies and gentlemen.
00:10:19.220 But needless to say, it's just a lot of word salad.
00:10:22.580 So, I'll read it for you, and then you can decide.
00:10:25.100 You know, I'm not going to sit and, you know, hope that there's some common sense that will
00:10:30.440 prevail, because it won't prevail, not with this government.
00:10:33.500 Excuse me.
00:10:34.320 But this is from Global, from four days ago.
00:10:39.480 Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is promising that his government's upcoming bill to legislate
00:10:43.420 against online harms will focus on making internet safer for minors, while not censoring
00:10:48.120 the rest for Canadians.
00:10:49.260 Yeah, bullshit.
00:10:51.140 Speaking in Edmonton, Trudeau announced the Liberals will table the long-promised legislation
00:10:54.920 as soon as next week, adding in French that it could come in several weeks.
00:10:59.580 Oh, that's right.
00:11:00.240 I'm here for your safety, everybody.
00:11:02.280 Members of Parliament are currently on a break week.
00:11:04.020 Another break?
00:11:04.680 Really?
00:11:05.400 Come on, clowns.
00:11:06.700 The House of Commons is scheduled to resume on Monday for one week, and then on again
00:11:10.640 until mid-March.
00:11:11.500 Oh, they don't need time to recalibrate and count their money, right?
00:11:15.780 Trudeau characterized legislation as being difficult to write because of the need to
00:11:19.540 strike the right balance between protecting Canadians' freedom of expression and instituting
00:11:23.320 measures to better protect children.
00:11:25.880 Bullshit.
00:11:26.700 He vowed that the bill would be very specifically focused on protecting kids and not censoring
00:11:31.460 the internet.
00:11:32.540 Kids are vulnerable online to hatred, to violence, to being bullied and being affected by terrible
00:11:38.020 things online, said Trudeau.
00:11:39.180 We need to do a better job as a society of protecting our kids online, and we want to
00:11:42.900 protect the schoolyards in our communities and our homes and across the country, of course.
00:11:47.660 Yes.
00:11:48.540 Yes, but you won't protect kids from online predators, though, and you won't protect kids
00:11:51.780 from predators in the schools and in the administrations, but that's different.
00:11:55.780 I'm digressing.
00:11:56.840 Trudeau first promised a measure during the 2019 federal election campaign, but a bill
00:12:00.480 targeting online hate speech died in the order paper when he triggered an early election
00:12:03.620 in 2021.
00:12:04.420 He won hate speech.
00:12:06.000 Hate speech is a broad term, ladies and gentlemen.
00:12:08.540 It's that simple.
00:12:09.680 Just a broad term, right?
00:12:11.280 He then promised to retable the bill within the first 100 days of his new mandate, but
00:12:14.700 failed to do so.
00:12:16.200 See, he's failed to do so because they're clenching and they're grasping straws because
00:12:20.720 he knows he sucks in the polls, ladies and gentlemen.
00:12:23.720 Trudeau's government presented a proposal that year outlining the approach it planned to
00:12:27.040 take to legislate against five categories of online harms.
00:12:29.860 Content that Incited Violence, the Non-Consensual Sharing of Intimate Images, Child Exploitation,
00:12:34.940 Hate Speech, and Terrorist Content.
00:12:36.860 I can understand the terrorist content, ladies and gentlemen, but when it comes to intimate
00:12:40.060 images, why the hell have some of these kids taken intimate images to begin with?
00:12:45.320 Right?
00:12:46.300 You hear about it all the time.
00:12:47.540 Oh, it was on my phone.
00:12:48.640 Oh, I took the snap.
00:12:49.480 I did this.
00:12:50.960 Smarten up.
00:12:52.080 That simple.
00:12:53.440 Right?
00:12:53.660 Many critics voiced concern that the range of content was too diverse and could create problems
00:12:57.860 when it came to determining what fell into each category.
00:13:00.640 Exactly.
00:13:01.140 What will fall into each category?
00:13:02.880 Organizations like the National Council of Canadian Muslims also expressed worries that
00:13:06.220 efforts to target terrorism-related online content could disproportionately affect the
00:13:12.800 members.
00:13:13.720 Yeah, because of stereotypes.
00:13:16.280 Right?
00:13:16.580 Privacy experts and civil liberties groups also roundly criticized, and rightfully so, the
00:13:21.640 earlier proposal of giving online platforms just 24 hours to remove content flagged as harmful.
00:13:25.920 Okay, so what is harmful?
00:13:28.140 Well, what's hateful?
00:13:29.200 It's a broad term.
00:13:30.660 You don't like what I have to say?
00:13:31.940 Well, you have a choice.
00:13:33.060 You don't listen to it.
00:13:34.280 You either give me a counterpoint, engage me in a conversation and dialogue and debate,
00:13:38.020 or you leave it alone.
00:13:40.560 You walk away.
00:13:42.840 Just put it in your mouth, let it melt, and walk away.
00:13:45.600 There you go.
00:13:46.740 Such a threshold would have risk encouraging companies to take an overly cautious approach,
00:13:50.300 removing acceptable material preemptively for fear of running afoul of the rules,
00:13:54.620 as they warned.
00:13:55.500 The government ultimately went back to the drawing board and assembled a new group of
00:14:00.280 cybersecurity, online safety, and other experts, and there's a weird, experts, boys and girls,
00:14:05.340 to advise it on how best to proceed.
00:14:07.920 The upcoming legislation is now expected to pave the way for a new ombudsman person to field
00:14:12.120 the public concerns about online content, as well as new regulatory role, that's the word,
00:14:17.160 regulatory role, that would oversee the conduct of internet platforms.
00:14:21.340 Okay, ladies and gentlemen, I'm going to leave this article in the description.
00:14:24.560 You can read along too.
00:14:25.860 But there are some key words in there that proved to be ineffective, regulatory, an ombudsman
00:14:33.420 to oversee.
00:14:34.600 We don't need people to oversee what we type, what we say, what we do.
00:14:38.260 We don't need that oversight.
00:14:40.320 Okay?
00:14:40.580 So, my suggestion is this, ladies and gentlemen, let mom and dad supervise their parental controls.
00:14:48.000 There are locks you can do.
00:14:48.800 There's software you can buy that can prevent little Billy seeing them boobies, or prevent
00:14:53.420 little Betty from seeing that thing.
00:14:56.500 Okay?
00:14:57.560 And you can prevent that certain harassment too.
00:15:00.740 You just might have to work harder at it.
00:15:02.620 Okay?
00:15:03.260 Since I started my podcast, I've had lots of comments from people that have said this about
00:15:07.380 my toque, said this about my face, said that about the color of my skin, my profession,
00:15:12.240 right?
00:15:12.920 Call me a boomer.
00:15:13.960 I've been called lots of names.
00:15:15.340 And guess what?
00:15:16.380 I'm still here.
00:15:19.520 Right?
00:15:20.680 So, if it means mom and dad's got to step up to the plate and protect their kids from
00:15:24.000 online harm, so be it.
00:15:26.360 God, I remember in the 80s when people were so upset over TV shows and music, right?
00:15:31.400 And what people were saying on the radio, oh my God, how dare he say that?
00:15:36.660 How dare she say that?
00:15:38.160 What do you mean by that?
00:15:39.760 Oh my goodness, I'm so offended.
00:15:42.380 Great.
00:15:42.940 You have every right to be offended.
00:15:44.360 Have every right to be concerned.
00:15:45.960 That doesn't mean someone should lose their job over it.
00:15:49.060 That doesn't mean you should pull your hair out and lose your shit.
00:15:53.200 I'm all for protecting kids too.
00:15:55.140 But I also believe in teaching your kids what is right and what is wrong.
00:15:59.520 Proving your moral compass so they can grow up and decide how to shape their own without
00:16:05.640 having to nurse and nurture and hover all the time.
00:16:08.980 That's what this government wants to do.
00:16:11.220 They're not protecting your children.
00:16:13.540 They're not protecting a goddamn thing.
00:16:15.820 They're just against speech they don't like in the guise of Bill C-36.

00:17:16.400 It's not my brother's fault, not my wife's fault, not my sister's fault.
00:17:20.860 It's the government's fault.
00:17:22.380 But if you do want to donate, please consider donating today.
00:17:25.060 I would like to make this podcast a little more lucrative.

00:17:40.840 Anyhow.
00:17:43.420 Enough of that shit.
00:17:44.980 Anyhow, if you want to donate, please donate.
00:17:46.280 If not, that's fine, too.

00:17:57.560 Feel free to, as well.
00:17:59.880 But there'll be some more updates coming up with the store.
00:18:02.980 And I'm trying to format, I'm trying to reprogram this.
00:18:07.020 I'm going to aim for doing three times a week, too, ladies and gentlemen.
00:18:10.700 So, stay tuned to my community page on YouTube, as well as my Facebook page for updates, as well.
00:18:15.640 Just because of my work schedule and other things I do outside the podcast.
00:18:19.680 Like, I do a lot of writing.
00:18:21.060 I do a lot of creative writing.
00:18:22.500 I write screenplays.
00:18:24.140 So, I'm trying to find the time to make sure I get enough episodes out there for you wonderful people.
00:18:29.900 And trying to keep myself, keep my head above water without going into debt.
00:18:35.440 Keeping the bills paid.
00:18:36.380 Keeping the lights on.
00:18:37.120 And keep making this podcast for you wonderful folks out there, too.
00:18:40.260 So, stay tuned to my community pages.
00:18:41.760 And we'll go from there, ladies and gentlemen, too.
00:18:45.500 So, anyway, carrying on with this episode 263.
00:18:49.400 Online harms.
00:18:51.020 That's right.
00:18:51.760 Bill C-36.
00:18:52.640 I ran it enough about that.
00:18:53.640 It's just a basic censorship bill in the name of safety.
00:18:55.980 And $3 billion to Ukraine.
00:18:57.860 So, as I mentioned in the opening, okay, the Prime Minister basically just guaranteed $3 billion in aid.
00:19:05.800 Security, weapons, all that good stuff.
00:19:07.880 $3 billion.
00:19:08.400 And you've heard me rant and rage about how, even the time I was in the military, how things weren't there.
00:19:17.120 How the procurement process is such a joke in this country because there's too many damn boards that sit and oversee and regulate what we should get as kit.
00:19:25.980 And too many bean counters, too many bureaucrats and admins alike.
00:19:30.880 And, unfortunately, when our brass gets up there, they don't become leaders.
00:19:35.840 They become politicians themselves.
00:19:37.940 So, it's a damn shame.
00:19:40.260 And this country is facing a crisis when it comes to food banks, housing, you know, housing the migrants, housing people that come in, and housing regular citizens, ladies and gentlemen.
00:19:49.820 There's still an issue with First Nations water.
00:19:52.140 Why has that not been resolved?
00:19:53.680 There's still an issue with seniors' pensions, right?
00:19:56.940 You've got the environment ministers and ministers alike that are pushing this heat pump bullshit down people's throats, as well as worrying about environmental racism and other stupid things like that.
00:20:09.540 Stilvin Gobo the other day even mentioned something about roads, how he wasn't going to fund roads.
00:20:15.160 And yet, that's not a federal issue.
00:20:17.080 That's more a provincial, municipal issue.
00:20:19.720 Roads is not a big deal.
00:20:21.060 But, to make a long story short, he's on this environmental kick, and we should all comply to his way, or else we should face the dire consequences, jawohl.
00:20:30.300 Interesting.
00:20:32.060 Where's Artie Janssen when you need him, right?
00:20:34.400 I know some of my audience out there remembers the show Laughin'.
00:20:36.820 I remember seeing reruns as a kid.
00:20:38.500 My parents used to tune into it regularly back in the 1960s, because it was breaking comedy.
00:20:43.160 Anyway, I digress.
00:20:44.940 Carry on.
00:20:46.520 So, when they worry about $3 billion to Ukraine, it kind of annoys me, because I do feel bad for the Ukrainian people fighting the Russian onslaught.
00:20:53.560 But, we have all this money to give away to a proxy war.
00:20:58.460 We have all this time and effort to give kit and ammunition and more cash.
00:21:03.780 And yet, we can't even suffice our own, ladies and gentlemen.
00:21:07.600 Why is that?
00:21:10.120 Why do we not have a government in this country that wants to look at our military and treat it as an equal asset,
00:21:16.860 as they would treat the fisheries and oceans, or other ministerial positions?
00:21:23.660 We've got all these inclusion ministries.
00:21:25.840 We've got all these diversity ministries.
00:21:27.820 But, we can't look after our troops, because they want to spend more time about more diversity and inclusion with them as well.
00:21:34.300 Let's you know a little story.
00:21:36.620 The 20 years I was in, there was quite a diverse mix of people.
00:21:39.580 Male, female, gay, straight, black, white, French, English, Asian, East Indian, Uruguayan, Paraguayan, Argentinian, French from France,
00:21:54.240 Jamaican, Korean, Japanese, Chinese.
00:21:59.540 Quite a few people that I have met from all walks of life in my 20 years of service.
00:22:05.400 And I didn't worry about what their sexuality was, or how they identified.
00:22:11.940 I saw one color.
00:22:14.340 You know what that color was?
00:22:15.980 Wait for it.
00:22:18.480 The color of our uniform, the Cad Pat.
00:22:21.200 It was olive dab green, but it was also Cad Pat later on, after 2002.
00:22:27.640 So, when people keep harping about, our military needs this, our military needs that, they're deflecting from the fact of what we really need.
00:22:38.500 Our military needs the ability to defend this country.
00:22:41.380 Have you seen the landmass of Canada?
00:22:43.580 Have you seen how much territory this country has?
00:22:46.520 How much area, how much land, full of untapped potential that would help our First Nations out?
00:22:55.540 Full of untapped potential that would help ourselves out.
00:23:00.520 That must be defended, because Russia has sticky fingers.
00:23:04.500 So does China.
00:23:06.880 And we should do something about it.
00:23:09.560 But no, no, no, no.
00:23:10.340 Let's give away $3 billion.
00:23:13.100 Again, $3 billion we probably don't have.
00:23:15.060 Have to borrow it again.
00:23:16.520 And then we'll make people wait in the lines for food.
00:23:21.100 We'll make migrants wait in gymnasiums and dormitories.
00:23:24.220 We'll up student tuition.
00:23:26.300 And we'll up the taxes.
00:23:27.780 Because come this April 1st, guess what?
00:23:29.940 There's another raise coming up to the MPs.
00:23:32.660 Okay?
00:23:33.120 In Ottawa.
00:23:34.620 All right?
00:23:35.780 From their base salary, they're jumping from $193,000 to $202,000 per year.
00:23:43.040 And shadow ministers go up another $8,000.
00:23:48.000 And other ministers go up another $8,000.
00:23:50.200 And the prime minister makes a cool $450,000 a year.
00:23:55.080 Right?
00:23:55.660 But we can give away $3 billion to a country.
00:23:59.220 $3 billion.
00:24:00.340 Just like, look at he split.
00:24:01.960 But we can't invest properly in our services.
00:24:04.500 What does that tell you about the government?
00:24:06.080 Now, the conservatives are just as bad for this, too.
00:24:08.200 I remember when Harper was in.
00:24:09.840 Okay.
00:24:10.540 Spending was getting up there.
00:24:11.740 Getting up there.
00:24:12.220 Because we were actually in combat.
00:24:13.720 We were fighting an enemy.
00:24:15.320 So we needed kit.
00:24:16.360 We needed the equipment.
00:24:18.380 Right?
00:24:19.740 So spending was increasing.
00:24:21.980 Not as quick as it should have, but it was getting better than what was in the 90s.
00:24:25.380 And especially in the 80s.
00:24:29.340 But people don't look at the Canadian military as they should look at the Canadian military.
00:24:34.060 It's still a military.
00:24:35.080 Regardless of the peacekeeping history or not.
00:24:37.760 Okay?
00:24:37.940 That's history.
00:24:39.120 Okay?
00:24:39.640 That model is null and void now.
00:24:42.580 That model is obsolete.
00:24:43.800 So if there's any individuals watching this podcast right now who happen to be Canadian
00:24:49.200 and are surprised to the fact that, oh, we've got a military, and or surprised to the fact
00:24:55.200 that, oh, we're not peacekeepers, then you better go give your teachers a good slap upside
00:25:01.040 the head for lying to your faces.

00:25:22.060 online arms bill, C-36, and $3 billion to Ukraine.
00:25:25.780 I'm your host, Krusty Canuck.

00:25:40.900 At this job.
00:25:41.560 I do put some work in this, ladies and gentlemen.
00:25:43.300 It's not like I just sit around and pick my nose and go, oh, I think I'll make a podcast.
00:25:47.140 I actually sit and pick articles and read them and what I want to display for you and format
00:25:50.700 and all this stuff upstairs.
00:25:52.160 So it takes me a good hour to get something on the go before I start recording this show.
00:25:57.140 But I will put this video up here for you, ladies and gentlemen.
00:26:02.660 This is from CP24, Old City TV.
00:26:06.120 There used to be something there, but I'll play this for you.
00:26:08.800 And then you decide on just some of the BS that's coming from our government when it comes
00:26:14.980 to looking after other people rather than, you know, helping Canada out.
00:26:22.060 Not that I mind helping other people, but we got to start looking after Canada too, right?
00:26:27.240 That would be the logical thing.
00:26:28.600 But whoever said, you know, the Canadian government was ever logical, right?
00:26:32.600 In the country, Prime Minister Trudeau signed a new $3 billion funding deal with Ukraine's
00:26:39.760 president.
00:26:40.320 CTV's Heather Wright is in Kiev and joined CP24 earlier to discuss this new agreement.
00:26:45.900 Canada has signed an agreement with Ukraine, pledging $3.02 billion in 2024.
00:26:53.720 It's officially called the Agreement on Security Cooperation between Canada and Ukraine.
00:26:58.940 And it outlines a number of different ways that Canada is going to support Ukraine in
00:27:03.700 this coming year.
00:27:04.640 Some of it is militarily, other is financial, providing financial aid to help bolster the
00:27:10.400 Ukrainian economy as it continues to fight this war against Russia.
00:27:15.060 We just wrapped a press conference here where Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was joined by
00:27:19.540 Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, as well as the president of the EU and leaders
00:27:25.480 from Belgium and Italy.
00:27:27.280 And a question that was asked of the Ukrainian president over and over is, is this kind of
00:27:32.960 aid that Canada has pledged today?
00:27:34.680 Is it getting to Ukraine fast enough?
00:27:37.400 Now, Zelensky was very polite in saying that he's, of course, grateful for all the assistance
00:27:42.600 that Ukraine has received from its international allies, but did concede that at times it is
00:27:48.100 not coming as quickly as it needs to be.
00:27:50.580 Two years ago, Putin invaded Ukraine.
00:27:56.300 Bombs running down across the country.
00:27:59.720 Civilians were targeted.
00:28:02.240 And Putin was sure he could easily take strategic targets like this airport.
00:28:07.460 Russian forces tried to make quick work of Hostomel Airport and with it, Kiev.
00:28:16.840 Well, we are standing here today because he was wrong, like he has been wrong on so many things.
00:28:25.680 Other leaders who made the trip include Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Maloney, Belgian Prime Minister Alexander Ducru,
00:28:33.860 and former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, as well as European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
00:28:39.620 Now, she says that the world will be forever grateful to Ukraine.
00:28:43.000 Those fateful moments are etched forever in our collective memory.
00:28:49.860 The flames rising from the tarmac to the sky.
00:28:54.380 The swarms of Russian helicopters flying low along the river.
00:28:59.900 The columns of tanks descending fast from the border with Belarus.
00:29:05.500 Exactly two years ago, it felt like everything was lost and Kiev would fall within days.
00:29:13.000 But Kiev stood strong.
00:29:16.960 Your courage stood in Putin's way.
00:29:21.180 You did not flee or flinch.
00:29:25.860 Russian President Vladimir Putin launched this long-feared invasion on February 24, 2022.
00:29:32.200 The incursion soon evolved into a full-scale war and now has no end in sight.
00:29:37.080 Despite strong support from Western countries,
00:29:39.380 delays, including $60 billion worth of stalled U.S. help,
00:29:43.400 a frustrating Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
00:29:45.760 Just last week, Zelensky warned allies that an artificial deficit of arms risks giving Russia a dangerous advantage.
00:29:52.880 See, that's the thing, ladies and gentlemen.
00:30:06.240 You know, it just, it's, it's just sad.
00:30:09.300 You know, I'm not, I'm not shitting on the Ukraine people.
00:30:12.600 Well, I'm not shitting on anyone who has to suffer through a conflict.
00:30:18.100 But we have a government that doesn't want to look after its own people.
00:30:24.100 And they'd rather just do that for virtue points.
00:30:27.460 That's just my opinion, ladies and gentlemen.
00:30:29.120 You know, to my Ukrainian, Canadian listeners out there,
00:30:31.480 if you're offended by this comment, I'm sorry, but I've experienced battle.
00:30:35.160 I've experienced warfare and I've experienced that kind of hell and chaos.
00:30:38.780 And I don't want to see it again.
00:30:43.520 And it's not right that we have leaders that we have elected in this country
00:30:47.220 that want to promote that proxy BS.
00:30:52.480 Right?
00:30:53.980 It's that simple.
00:30:56.500 My heart goes out to those individuals that are taking a stand and fighting the good fight.
00:31:01.620 But I also know too, through certain little birds out there,
00:31:05.940 that the logistics issue is a big, big deal.
00:31:09.920 Because there's kit and equipment that has been allotted to some of those individuals,
00:31:14.160 but they just don't show up for some reason.
00:31:17.440 And there's certain cash monies that are put aside to help this, to help that.
00:31:21.620 And it's disappeared.
00:31:24.840 So it's getting harder and harder every day to really, really trust the system.
00:31:28.940 When you've got good common people in that country fighting an onslaught.
00:31:32.620 So you've got to look hard at leadership and look at the decisions they're making
00:31:37.420 on our behalf, ladies and gentlemen.
00:31:40.300 And we've got to start standing up to it too.
00:31:42.740 Like I said, April 1st, they're all getting fancy raises.
00:31:45.560 Little perks and privileges just for being elected, for being there, for doing nothing.
00:31:49.540 Like I said, they're off right now.
00:31:51.940 Right?
00:31:52.860 They just had six weeks off for Christmas.
00:31:56.260 So where are the fucking priorities?
00:31:59.400 Where are they?
00:32:01.100 Where are they?
00:32:02.620 They're not for you or me.
00:32:03.660 They're not with our families or their families.
00:32:05.620 They're with their own line in their pockets and their own agendas.
00:32:08.360 And I will say that to some conservative politicians too.
00:32:12.640 Okay?
00:32:13.200 Not just the liberals, not the NDPers, not the progressives that clench their pearls
00:32:17.140 and worry more about rainbow flags than actual security and freedom in this country.
00:32:22.640 Okay?
00:32:22.960 I'm getting sick and tired of the status quo agendas that are constantly being rammed down
00:32:29.140 in the name of our throats in the name of progress, in the name of diversity and inclusion.
00:32:34.460 Oh, we're inclusive, but we don't want to include your point of view.
00:32:37.720 Oh, we're inclusive, but we don't like what you say.

00:32:57.260 I don't know.
00:32:58.600 I don't know.
00:32:59.440 We'll have to wait and see.
