00:05:45.660The link is in the description below. Check it out. Let's read the news from the BBC.
00:05:51.320They report left-wing political outsider Abdul El-Sayed is projected to win the Democratic Senate primary in Michigan, which exposed bitter divisions over the party's direction.
00:06:00.400The former public health official is on course to beat moderate four-term Democratic Congresswoman Haley Stevens, according to CBS News, the BBC's U.S. partner.
00:06:09.040El-Sayed voiced support for left-wing causes like universal health care and abolishing ICE.
00:06:13.180He also called for ending unconditional U.S. military aid to Israel.
00:06:19.300If officially confirmed as the primaries winner, he will face Republican and Trump ally Mike
00:06:23.800Rogers in November's midterm elections.
00:06:26.700The son of Egyptian immigrants would be the first Muslim U.S. senator if he wins in November.
00:06:32.220We won, Saeed posted on X Wednesday morning, writing that he was proud to be your Democratic
00:15:51.360And I showed you the data to back up my position.
00:15:53.640I do not see how fringe far, you know, elements of politics winning is good for the Democratic Party when most people don't want to support Democratic socialists.
00:16:07.760I think my argument is sound, reasonable, and I would argue it's unbiased.
00:22:57.660and civilians don't deserve to be blown up. That's just not the case. But Hassan Piker,
00:23:04.860he doesn't live in a world of ration, of rationality is a better way to put it.
00:23:10.680And I suppose honesty. He's a lower order thinker. That is, you can go to somebody,
00:23:19.080let's do this. Let's go high level. Is war good? First thing you have to understand is what does
00:23:26.500the person mean by good or bad? It's not so easy, is it? Is it good that the United States is the
00:23:33.320global hegemon? Well, one could make a bunch of arguments as to why it is, and we have to look at
00:23:38.300the holistic picture. If the United States was not the dominant superpower in the world, who would
00:23:44.460be? Right now, it's obviously China, potentially the BRICS nations as a coalition, Russia, Iran.
00:23:49.320Do we appreciate the things that they do? For the most part, no. What we have with the U.S.
00:23:55.300liberal economic order and all its faults in which Trump is transforming is we police the oceans,
00:24:01.100we allow for global order, but we're in control. This means we have certain moral worldviews
00:24:05.980others do not agree with. In China, they don't agree with the idea that we would allow people0.85
00:24:10.520this degree of freedom. China believes more in a top-down approach, a command economy style,
00:24:15.940but they've mixed it, they've hybridized it. The way China works is that you have the party
00:24:20.380which controls the businesses do, but largely grants them autonomy so that they can grow rapidly.
00:24:26.080They've taken elements of free trade, but put the steel dome over it. The United States certainly
00:24:32.180does that to an extent, but it's much more limited and we have a lot more litigation and
00:24:37.080power struggling here. The people in China and countries like it think the United States is
00:24:42.100stupid for allowing a greater degree of control among its people because they believe that most1.00
00:24:47.060people are stupid and they should be controlled by a central authority. Centralize too much,1.00
00:24:52.000the system breaks down. Decentralize too much and you're fighting yourself way too often.
00:24:57.340So I would make the argument that if you were talking about maximum good, that is to the benefit0.99
00:25:03.680of man, a mixed economy is probably the way to go, which I say the United States generally does it
00:25:08.500the best. We have ability to defend ourselves and rectify certain issues. But in China,
00:25:12.780they've got concentration camps. You know, they've got land grabs and persecution of people
00:25:20.280based on ideology because they believe their worldview is better. But, you know, when they
00:25:25.360talk about the great firewall of China and the censoring of information like Tiananmen Square,
00:25:30.680the U.S. does it all the same. So I can only say this. I've heard stories about China.
00:25:36.700I've seen the facts and I recognize that there is a certain reflection
00:25:40.860between the United States and China. Let's not play stupid games. We're here to be rational1.00
00:25:45.740thinkers. However, the United States tends to be better, tends to be, even if by a small amount.
00:25:52.040Plus, there's already an established order, so there's no reason to go to war and see this
00:25:56.040conflict. Hassan Piker's in the weeds. He sees the U.S. doing bad things and then just thinks
00:26:01.160they should be stopped without considering the fact that China would do and does equally bad0.61
00:26:05.720things and sometimes worse things. So where does that leave us? It leaves us with people0.88
00:26:12.160campaigning with a guy who is ideologically driven. There will be no solutions from the
00:26:17.320likes of Hassan Piker, just anger and revenge. In which case, Syed decides he reaches people,
00:26:24.520we want that. But the people he's reaching are not motivated by fixing a system,
00:26:28.080they're motivated by anger against an other. If that's the direction you're going to go,
00:26:32.760conflict and crisis is what you get. What's truly fascinating is that there was a brief period
00:26:39.180where Haley Stevens, actually, if we go back, let's look at this, is absolutely insane.0.99
00:26:46.220She was at 0.1. And then let's see, let's go over. Let's go to the month. She crashed out to 0.1
00:26:53.180last night, just during the election as Syed was winning, spiked around 22%, which is insane,
00:26:58.520and then crashed off again. We actually don't know that the outcome is determined. Technically,
00:27:02.880she did concede. So she's dropping it. So it seems like Syed's got it. But it was one point.
00:27:10.040It was pretty dang close. Chuck Schumer has endorsed Abdul El-Sayed for Michigan Senate,
00:27:16.220calling Mike Rogers a rubber stamp for Donald Trump. Mike Rogers counter saying,
00:27:21.580I spent years hunting terrorists and bringing us on the law to justice. Never in a million years
00:27:26.040that I think I would be running against someone who believes America deserved 9-11.
00:27:30.700He's using Hassan against Syed, but Syed's not going to come out and say anything about it.
00:27:36.140And maybe he will, but he's going to be very timid. What he already said is that Hassan
00:27:40.580reaches people and we've got to reach those people. Well, I got bad news for Mike Rogers.
00:27:47.660Michigan is very, very Muslim. Let me tell you a story. Once a key component of the rust belt1.00
00:27:54.940with auto manufacturing. The industry collapsed. People started to flee the state because there
00:28:00.360were no jobs and thus land became cheap. So if you were moving to the United States and you
00:28:06.080wanted to go somewhere, lo, we give you Michigan. It was collapsing. Indiana was never as big
00:28:13.840and doesn't have the water access. I mean, it's got Lake Michigan, don't get me wrong.
00:28:17.780But Indiana remained fairly stable. Michigan, however, was in free fall without their industry. And so migrants started to move in. Now you have areas dominated, just completely dominated by by Islam.
00:28:35.640What we're going to see now. Many strategists have said Mike Rogers needs to humbly approach moderate Democrats, the black community, Jews and say, do not get behind this man who is with Hassan Piker.0.90
00:28:52.400And you know what? Excuse me. Considering how close this race really was.0.99
00:28:58.500I don't see how Syed can actually win Michigan. I got to be honest.
00:29:01.600Let me pull up 270 to win and we'll take a look at what they're what they're predicting for the Senate. Michigan's a toss up. They don't actually know. It's a straight toss up. I'm going to go and say this. Syed narrowly, narrowly beat the moderate Dem. Only three quarters of Democrats would vote for a Democratic Socialist. He claims he's not because he knows he will lose if he says he is. But he's he's he's unofficially backed by the DSA.0.88
00:29:31.600so what's going to happen? I think that Mike Rogers is going to campaign, and he only needs
00:29:37.940to pull, what, three, four points from the Democrats, from the moderates? I think he will.
00:29:45.780We'll see, however. The prediction market says the Republicans are going to control the Senate,
00:29:50.280but let's do this. Kelsey Senate midterm. Let's see who's going to win. Which party will win the
00:29:57.440Senate in, oh, that's the wrong one. We want Michigan. Michigan specifically. Michigan Senate0.85
00:30:05.360winner. Odds and prediction. I'm going to say no. You can see right now that Syed is projected to
00:30:13.720win. Mike Rogers at 39 percent, but Rogers just skyrocketed because before it was actually as
00:30:19.300Democrat and Republican, and now it's official with the nominees. Syed's tanking. I believe that
00:30:24.600it's very likely Rodgers wins. That's just my opinion for all the reasons I explained in this
00:30:30.780video. November's coming soon. We're two and a half months out, my friends. Well, about three
00:30:36.240months out. So smash that like button. Share the show right now with everyone you know. Comment.
00:30:41.540Let me know what you think. Thanks for hanging out. We got more coming up for you throughout
00:30:44.720the day, and we'll see you all in the next segment.
