00:00:00.000 A massive scandal is erupting in the Republican House race in Ohio, with Max Miller being accused of abusing his ex-wife and child.

00:00:28.660 Now, Max Miller, who was accused of things like breaking his daughter's collarbone and scalding his wife, I guess it's the reporting, is denying any wrongdoing.

00:00:38.500 But the thing is, his his ex-wife, she's the daughter of a Republican senator.

00:00:43.960 So this is not some partisan scandal attack where, you know, with like Graham Plattner, they claim Republicans were trying to dig up dirt and opposition research on Plattner.

00:00:54.100 And it's like, guys, stop. Plattner had a Nazi tattoo on his chest for 20 years.

00:00:59.760 But in that same regard, this is a Republican senator's daughter marrying a dude who is in Congress who is accused of abusing his wife and child.

00:01:08.620 You know, I hate to say it, but if Democrats came out and were claiming things that the family was denying, then I'd be a little more reluctant to to entertain these kinds of scandals.

00:02:19.380 boomers are older now than life expectancy. So the expectation is that we are going to see

00:02:25.680 boomers start dying in accelerated numbers, not trying to be morbid or disrespectful, but it is 1.00

00:02:31.220 true. And boomers have a very particular voting pattern, which is going to go away. How things 0.90

00:02:36.380 will change, we can't quite predict. But the question is, will there be a Republican who can

00:02:42.240 replace Max Miller this close to the midterm race? Honestly, I have no idea. It is just one race,

00:02:49.140 but this scandal is bad news for Republicans and they need all the help they can get,

00:02:53.520 which is why you are seeing an image of Donald Trump on the phone, which probably is a completely

00:02:57.880 unrelated phone call. But the reporting is Trump actually called him up and said, hey, buddy,

00:03:03.140 it ain't looking good. Now, Miller put out a statement just before I started filming

00:03:06.680 saying he's going to release everything. He's not going to back down. He's going to file an

00:03:12.420 ethics complaint against himself to be investigated. And I suppose the question is then,

00:03:17.140 did dude actually do anything or is he being falsely accused? For which I revert back to

00:03:22.720 his ex-wife's the daughter of a Republican senator. I got to just say, I don't want to

00:03:28.040 sound biased, but right off the bat, knowing that this would be good for Democrats, you know,

00:03:33.980 you get a kind of Game of Thrones politicking behind the scenes, which makes me feel like

00:03:38.560 there's a little bit more credibility to these accusations. Again, I don't know for sure,

00:03:42.500 you know, prove it or don't. I don't want to I don't want a guy to be accused without evidence.

00:05:11.580 President Trump phoned embattled Rep. Max Miller on Monday and questioned whether the

00:05:15.680 lawmaker can fend off his Democratic challenger in November, Axios reported.

00:05:20.420 Miller's been accused by his ex-wife, Emily Moreno, the daughter of Senator Bernie Moreno,

00:05:25.620 Republican of Ohio.

00:05:26.720 of abusing her and their daughter. Emily Moreno alleges that Miller pointed a gun at her head 0.99

00:05:32.540 through scalding hot water at her, pushed her into a wall and fractured their daughter's

00:05:37.620 collarbone. Miller denies the accusations. After weeks of silence, Senator Moreno on Sunday called

00:05:43.040 on Miller to drop his reelection bid. I'm gonna go ahead and say a collarbone accusation is easily

00:05:49.260 proven or disproven. Well, actually, I should say easily, but they can certainly present evidence

00:05:54.080 as to whether or not she actually had a collarbone fracture, and then doctors can actually tell

00:05:59.260 a likely cause of the fracture based on how and, you know. I'll just put it simply,

00:06:06.080 if he injured her with physical force, you can usually see not perfectly if it was caused by

00:06:10.880 another human. Alex Eisenstadt and Mark Caputo of Axios reported that Trump called Miller to

00:06:16.320 suggest the re-election bid is in jeopardy. Citing three sources familiar with the call,

00:06:20.500 The reporter said that the president told Miller things aren't looking good.

00:11:33.120 They say in a live stream that lasted about 20 minutes, Miller appeared agitated at times,

00:11:37.100 seemed to be laboring to read from a script as he categorically denied the accusations

00:11:41.940 by his ex-wife, Emily Moreno.

00:11:43.780 The lengthy public statement prompted Ms. Moreno's father, Senator Bernie Moreno,

00:11:48.280 to issue a public rebuke of Mr. Miller,

00:11:51.280 saying for the first time after a years-long legal battle

00:11:53.900 that his son-in-law was not fit to serve in Congress.

00:12:30.520 filing of restraining orders. Miss Moreno has said that Mr. Miller scalded her chest and stomach by

00:12:35.180 throwing hot water from a skillet at her body. You should be able to prove those injuries. It

00:12:39.380 doesn't prove he did it, but it does provide evidence. Held a gun to her head, pushed her

00:12:43.420 against a wall and hit her in the head and fractured their daughter's collarbone and 0.59

00:12:46.840 bruised her shoulder. This is why it's very important. Ladies, document all of this stuff.

00:12:52.300 And for guys, hey, look, sometimes women fake these injuries, too. This is why it's like there's 1.00

00:14:57.540 that as proof the courts do not consider him a threat to his family. If these accusations were

00:15:02.700 true, I would be in jail. For months, Mr. Marino remained silent in the face of disturbing details

00:15:07.380 that emerged from court documents that alleged abuse against his daughter and granddaughter.

00:15:11.460 In recent days, he has been heavily criticized online for failing to call for Mr. Miller to

00:15:15.500 resign. Well, he has so far, and that's where we're currently at. So let's take a look right

00:15:21.220 now. This is Ohio House, Ohio District 7. Max Miller's a candidate. Brian Poindexter is the

00:15:29.140 challenger. Poindexter is running for election to represent Ohio's 7th congressional district.

00:15:35.260 He's on the ballot for November 3rd. He advanced in the primary in May. They say that he's got an

00:15:40.400 associate's degree from Cuyahoga Community College. And look at this picture they got. He's got a

00:15:45.140 hard hat. You see what they're going for there. You're a working class guy wearing a blue hoodie.

00:15:49.440 That's great marketing. That's great marketing. He beat out Ed Fitzgerald and a handful of others. 1.00

00:15:53.720 And I'm curious, his campaign themes, Poindexter received the following endorsements. Bernie Sanders, United She Stands Ohio Democratic Primary Sway Voting Group by Ashley Kinsvata. Uh-huh. Let's pull up Brian Poindexter. We got to get his comments on this one on X because, you know, he's basically going to be saying, like, get this dude out of there.

00:26:42.720 to win. And the Democrats are fighting themselves. And even if they do win in November,

00:26:48.820 it's going to be a slim majority and they won't be able to get anything done anyway.
