00:08:35.360 election. 31 are retiring from public office. 16 are running for the Senate, so they're leaving
00:08:41.340 the House. 10, all Republicans are running for governor. One Republican is running for state
00:08:47.280 attorney general. One Democrat is running for a state legislative district. At this point,
00:08:52.640 the last four election cycles, there were 45 retirement announcements. Between January 11th,
00:08:57.060 26th, 362 House incumbents announced they would not seek reelection. The point here is not that
00:09:02.520 it's remarkable. It's more than normal at 59. Most are Republicans. It's that
00:09:09.500 Trump's opposition is out. A lot of these people, a lot of the retirees, they were anti-Trump.

00:21:53.520 just in this context, because the question is, how much does Joe want to be involved in politics

00:22:04.320 And the reason I bring that up is because why is it only among young Republicans?
00:22:10.020 Did Joe lose the middle of the road people when he came out and endorsed Trump? And has that been
00:22:15.040 bad for him? Now, the truth is, according to Forbes, this is fascinating, Joe is still the
00:22:20.680 highest paid podcaster. I want to stress, just as somebody in the space, Forbes' list is incorrect.
00:22:27.220 And it's like, this is the way things go. Forbes had a list of the top 20 podcasters by pay. And I
00:22:33.940 was like, well, it depends on how they calculate income. Because obviously, like, Joe as an
00:22:39.280 independent podcast person getting $82 million, according to their investigation, they said they
00:22:43.340 asked and reached out. He's not really paying many people, right? His staff is probably very,
00:22:48.260 very small. So it's a lot of his margins are really high. But some of these other shows have
00:22:51.860 a massive staff. And so it depends on how you're really calculating things. But ultimately, the
00:22:56.920 point is viewership is down, revenues down for everybody. Did Joe lose audience by endorsing
00:23:03.720 Trump and going to the right? And now is he viewed as a Republican among moderates? The answer I'm
00:23:09.260 gonna say, no, I'm gonna say the left's in a cult. And when The Huffington Post says he's popular
00:23:15.020 among young Republicans, that's only because regular people are now aligning as Republican.
00:23:19.700 We saw this polling data showing that independents favor the Republican party nearly five to one.
00:23:27.380 It's just one poll. It could be noise. It could be static. So it's not, you know, we get 20 polls
00:23:32.520 like this, but it was something like 71% of moderates, independent voters would vote Republican
00:23:38.320 and like 17 would vote Democrat.

00:25:08.980 a liar, now you're biased against them.

00:25:56.180 what I say. You know, I never said that. So I said, if I say Jamie Raskin lies because the only
00:26:02.300 conclusion is that it's a lie, you're going to get, well, maybe he got it wrong. He accused me
00:26:07.280 of doing something I did not do. Now, are you arguing that he had no basis for that statement
00:26:12.840 and said it anyway? Well, that would be a lie. How can you be wrong? Wrong is saying like I did
00:26:18.760 math and it was incorrect or, you know, Trump sometimes get crowd estimates wrongs. He often
00:26:23.420 lies about crowds, too. Sometimes he's wrong because he had bad numbers. Sometimes he's lying
00:26:27.200 because he knew. Jamie Raskin played the video and then said, I did this thing. And I'm like,
00:26:33.860 so what am I supposed to say to my fans and to my audience? Am I supposed to say,
00:26:38.240 Jamie Raskin said this about me? But my audience knows I never said that.
00:26:42.420 So then when I say Raskin lies about me, you call me biased. Therein lies the big challenge.

00:27:47.600 wrong because you can go on Twitter and see them shown the facts and they still lie about it.
