00:00:50.580 Martha listens to her favorite band all the time.
00:00:53.020 In the car, gym, even sleeping.
00:00:58.540 So when they finally went on tour,
00:01:00.520 Martha bundled her flight and hotel on Expedia to see them live.
00:01:03.700 She saved so much, she got her seat close enough to actually see and hear them.
00:01:08.600 Sort of.
00:01:09.880 You were made to scream from the front row.
00:01:12.140 We were made to quietly save you more.
00:01:14.540 Expedia, made to travel.
00:01:16.920 Savings vary and subject to availability.
00:01:18.640 Far-left activists from the United States have invaded Cuba.
00:01:24.620 They say they're bringing much-needed aid to the beleaguered nation,
00:01:28.680 facing an embargo for generations heavily impacted by the loss of their friend Venezuela.
00:01:34.860 It all goes back to 2009.
00:01:36.820 Actually, it goes back way further than that.
00:01:38.780 But the U.S. had a treaty with Venezuela.
00:01:41.760 We helped build a bunch of oil infrastructure.
00:01:44.260 We all got rich.
00:01:45.220 In 2009, the new government came in and said, we are seizing these oil assets and try as they might, these companies couldn't get their resources back.
00:01:54.900 Well, Donald Trump recently went in and removed Maduro and restored access to this oil.
00:01:59.760 In the meantime, he said, we are strengthening the embargo on Cuba.
00:02:05.500 That means we will sanction any country that delivers oil to this island.
00:02:10.720 And with Venezuela getting cut off, Cuba was in trouble.
00:02:14.180 Now, it's looking like the Cuban people are pissed.
00:02:18.080 They just want to live a good life.
00:02:20.200 They don't necessarily want to be involved in whatever this war is.
00:02:22.540 And that's true for most people in any country.
00:02:24.780 The Cuban government, of course, wants to remain sovereign and maintain their communist-like system.
00:02:30.860 And the U.S., of course, wants them to fall back into the Western fold.
00:02:35.260 This has resulted in serious hard times for the people of Cuba.
00:02:39.060 And for that, my heart goes out to them.
00:02:40.240 I'm deeply concerned about the suffering crazy stories.
00:02:43.460 With the major blackouts, there's reports that all of the people on ventilators in one hospital died before the generators could get kicked back on.
00:02:51.640 But my friends, oil is not a human right and war is hell.
00:02:57.020 There's a great quote that says war isn't actually hell because in hell only the guilty are punished and in war innocent people suffer.
00:03:03.820 And so I won't be immediately as negative on the actions of people like Hassan Piker
00:03:10.600 and Code Pink, because I understand wanting to provide aid even to a rival or adversarial nation.
00:03:18.300 But I don't blame the people of Cuba for what is going on with their government necessarily.
00:03:23.940 There is a certain responsibility every individual has when it comes to propping up their government.
00:03:28.820 But that doesn't mean that civilians should have to suffer.
00:03:31.300 And so what I will say is this, certainly far left activists staying in a five star Cuban hotel with power generators when no one else has power is pissing a lot of people off.
00:03:43.160 Hassan Piker showing up with a fifteen hundred dollar ring reportedly and a seven hundred dollar shirt is certainly pissing people off.
00:03:50.740 But the response from Hassan is, yeah, maybe he should go there and help them then.
00:03:55.280 And so there is a controversy here because it looks like this may be one big PR stunt, not actually providing any real aid.
00:04:05.400 And the real question is, why is it that these anti-war activists, they may claim to be anti-war or wanting to help the people, but they always find themselves on the side of against America, either going to China or going to Iran or going to now Cuba?
00:04:24.360 Guys, I think the best thing for the Cuban people would would be to enter the fold of the Western sphere of influence.
00:04:32.500 They would live like kings on that island. It'd be an amazing vacation destination open to so many people and not even that far away.
00:04:41.200 It's like, what, 90 miles from Florida. So these activists going there and demanding that the U.S. basically open this country back up to Eastern influence and keep themselves cut off from the West.
00:04:53.420 I think that it's not helping these people. But again, I want to be reasonable in this.
00:04:59.260 You know, if they're really bringing food aid or otherwise, I'm glad people are being helped.
00:05:03.300 OK, because even those of us in the West during war, we do not just kill the enemy when captured.
00:05:11.540 We do tend to their wounds because we understand we do not want people to die.
00:05:17.020 It's just that war is sometimes inevitable between two opposing forces that will not back down.
00:05:23.420 So you always, always want to avoid death and killing, and that means we as human beings, even in the worst times of war, have provided aid to our enemy after defeating them.
00:05:35.900 If they're alive, you tend to their wounds.
00:05:38.260 But let's jump into this story, my friends, and talk about what is going on with these individuals who are on the ground and what everyone's saying.
00:05:44.160 And these accusations are absolutely brutal.

00:06:30.920 do all the work we do. If you like this video, if you think we do a good job,
00:06:35.000 join us at TimCast.com. Here's a story from Fox News. Far-left activists stay in five-star
00:06:41.460 Cuban hotel as island suffers total blackout. I see the far left group Code Pink sponsored
00:06:47.860 flights to the communist led island. And the group was joined by Isra Hersey, the daughter
00:06:53.820 of Rep. Ilhan Omar and left wing Twitch streamer Hassan Piker, an ally of Democratic socialist
00:06:59.700 Zoran Mamdani, which is a dumb way to describe him. He's the most prominent socialist leftist
00:07:04.440 streamer and he is associated with the DSA. You just you don't got to throw Zoran Mamdani in there.
00:07:11.460 I guess it's good for the search engine optimization and the algorithm.
00:07:15.480 The group has faced heavy backlash for staying in expensive hotels to meet with government
00:07:19.100 officials, even as Cuban residents go without electricity.
00:07:22.460 Trump imposed an oil blockade on Cuba earlier this year after the U.S. captured former Venezuelan
00:07:26.620 President Nicolas Maduro.
00:07:27.840 Now, to be fair, the embargo has been there forever.
00:07:31.360 Venezuela was shuttling oil to Cuba, keeping them afloat, and the U.S. largely just let
00:07:35.780 it happen, which makes no sense to me.
00:07:37.780 OK, this is the West.
00:07:39.540 We have the Monroe Doctrine.
00:07:40.700 We do not allow Eastern powers to come to the Western Hemisphere and dictate policy and put an adversary on our doorstep.
00:07:49.840 The people of Cuba are allowed to believe what they want to believe, for sure.
00:07:53.020 But it doesn't mean we tolerate and allow their armaments and their expanse.
00:07:58.020 Cuba played a huge role in several wars throughout the past, to be reasonable, more so in the 60s and the 70s.
00:08:05.580 They sent troops, they fought. There are problems involved in having an adversary at our doorstep. I mean, the Cuban Missile Crisis, the Bay of Pigs, a lot of controversy. The people of Cuba would live like kings because it's just so close to the United States. A lot of people would travel there.
00:08:22.200 And I'm not saying they should be forced to bend to our whim or anything like this, but considering they were being propped up by Venezuela, an adversarial force, and China, an adversarial force, those countries are going to have a difficult time providing resources on this side of the planet.
00:08:37.580 So the embargo has been there forever.
00:08:39.860 Venezuela, we take Maduro, we get our oil assets back, and I believe we call that justice.
00:08:46.820 Okay?
00:08:47.380 You don't get to steal our stuff.
00:08:49.420 Let me put it like this, because I'm adamant about this.
00:08:52.200 I am skeptical on regime change.
00:08:54.260 I said this when we took Maduro out.
00:08:56.120 This could destabilize the region.
00:08:57.520 You've got narco gangs and cartels.
00:08:59.120 We don't want them seizing power in Venezuela.
00:09:02.220 However, it hasn't happened, and it looks stable.
00:09:05.380 The issue is we had a treaty with Venezuela.
00:09:08.080 Our corporations invested in the expansion of oil infrastructure because it's an oil-rich nation.
00:09:14.020 And then in 2009, they stole it from us.
00:09:17.920 Our precious, okay?
00:09:19.420 And so some of these companies said, we're going to sue and we're going to take it to the court.
00:09:24.160 And the courts were like, it's our own country.
00:09:26.140 We'll do whatever we want.
00:09:26.900 You ain't getting nothing back.
00:09:28.900 $10 billion in oil assets that we built stolen from us.
00:09:34.460 And we did nothing about it.
00:09:36.140 So then Trump goes in and says, we're going to snatch this guy, criminally charge him, get back our oil infrastructure.
00:09:42.780 And we did.
00:09:44.020 And then he says, and we're not going to let Cuba have it because they're not in line with us and they have no right to it.
00:09:49.360 So when Trump says it's an embargo, I say this.
00:09:51.820 We are under no obligation to allow our oil to be transported to an adversarial nation,
00:09:59.760 small as it may be.
00:10:00.580 We're under no obligation to do this.
00:10:02.220 We are under no obligation to open up our hemisphere, our seas, to rival countries that
00:10:09.740 want to provide resources to a country that we have an issue with.
00:10:13.660 We are under no obligation to do this.
00:10:15.680 Now, again, one can make the argument, if Cuba wants to trade, let them do it.
00:10:19.080 My point is there is going to be conflict between Chinese vessels and other tankers
00:10:24.520 flying false flags, which has been happening, coming into the region where we police our
00:10:30.080 seas.
00:10:31.460 And so at a certain point, guys, they've got unmarked tankers moving through the region
00:10:37.400 flying false flags yet.
00:10:40.580 OK, well, you're going to get seized.
00:10:42.420 Now, again, it's a much more difficult conversation on whether or not we should literally
00:10:46.880 be blocking oil from Cuba.
00:10:48.640 My point is they had an ally in Venezuela easily supplying them, and now they don't.
00:10:53.160 That's their problem, not ours.
00:10:54.820 If they are not sustainable on their own, why should we be obligated to help them?
00:10:59.280 Then the next point is we are obstructing other countries from coming in and providing that aid.
00:11:04.700 But the concern is, of course, China, Iran, Russia coming in and giving oil to an enemy makes no sense.
00:11:11.960 Why would we allow that?
00:11:13.480 Considering they're on our doorstep, we don't want another Cuban Missile Crisis.
00:11:15.800 Well, my friends, the videos are going viral.
00:11:19.520 From Vizigrod.
00:11:45.800 of participating A&W locations in Ontario.
00:11:50.740 Angry Cuban man goes to the hotel
00:11:52.880 where code pink communists are staying in Cuba.
00:11:55.320 They get to enjoy electricity thanks to a generator,
00:11:57.680 but 99.9% of Cubans are without electricity tonight
00:12:00.520 after a nationwide blackout.
00:12:03.200 Look at that.
00:12:06.460 And look at the lights on the side of the building,
00:12:08.400 which are just so unnecessary.
00:12:12.560 Indeed.
00:12:13.000 so for those that are just listening it is a beautiful hotel well lit now some people have
00:12:20.260 accused hassan piker of committing a crime by going and providing resources to an embargoed
00:12:24.480 nation this is not correct guys i can argue my why i think hassan's got bad opinions or why i
00:12:30.640 think he's politically dangerous whatever it might be but he is abiding by the law this the hotel
00:12:35.340 that he that he's in it's one of the few places you're allowed to go to so when i worked for vice
00:12:41.080 I was on a plane twice a week. Numerous countries, many of them sanctioned. We were looking at North
00:12:46.920 Korea. We were looking at Iran. We were looking at Cuba. And the State Department said, in the
00:12:51.600 normal course of travel, you are allowed to buy and do anything. The only thing you can't do is
00:12:58.320 buy a rug or cigars. And I'm like, okay. They said, look, if you go to Cuba, you can stay at
00:13:04.360 any hotel. In the normal course of travel, you are not restricted. But you can't buy cigars.
00:13:11.080 to bring them back to sell.
00:13:13.200 That's the point.
00:13:14.600 So that's all.
00:13:15.740 And I said, okay,
00:13:16.480 we ended up not doing any of that stuff.
00:13:18.600 But by all means,
00:13:19.260 criticize the man,
00:13:20.540 but act like, you know,
00:13:22.800 claiming that he's doing
00:13:23.840 illegal things or whatever.
00:13:25.380 I mean, maybe one could
00:13:26.440 make that interpretation.
00:13:27.320 But as far as I know,
00:13:28.080 just going there is not illegal.
00:13:29.460 Tons of people go there all the time.
00:13:31.640 Now we have this from Ayol Yacobi.
00:13:33.620 He says,
00:13:33.820 Breaking Hassan Piker's VIP flotilla
00:13:35.640 was caught throwing food
00:13:36.780 at Cuban children
00:13:37.500 to make them dance
00:13:38.380 while they record videos
00:13:39.880 for their social media.
00:13:41.080 they think cuban children are animals at the zoo and uh here's the video
00:13:46.680 we don't need all that loud banging
00:13:50.600 so there's people dancing and uh cuba block socialists that's right now i don't see anywhere
00:14:00.360 in this video people throwing food at children so i don't know what that's all about and uh
00:14:05.240 all the same the left has posted videos of just people playing music and dancing
00:14:09.400 Now, the propaganda. I shouldn't call propaganda necessarily. I'll just say that the the the the
00:14:15.560 conflicted worldview on the right, or I should say the anti-socialist, because even some liberals
00:14:20.280 are upset about this. You have this claim that they're throwing food at children and dance
00:14:24.280 because they're starving. Well, on the other side, the close up video shows them just dancing
00:14:29.640 and laughing with music. And the argument coming from the leftists is that it shows their resilience
00:14:34.400 even in the face of an embargo and power outage and lack of energy, they are living their best
00:14:40.260 lives. And the right is saying, no, you're making a spectacle of them to push your propaganda.
00:14:46.820 Indeed, my friends, there is more. Check this out. Breaking the five star hotel where Code
00:14:52.340 Pink, Hassan Piker, kneecap and other communists are staying is the only place in Cuba with
00:14:56.420 electricity at the moment. Look at this video. Here you can see there are people outside
00:15:03.700 lurking around. They have no electricity, but this beautiful, beautiful five-star hotel certainly
00:15:09.580 does. It's like a Potemkin village, isn't it? I'm sorry. I got to say this. You've got a luxury
00:15:14.720 place for the wealthy in a communist country, and they have electricity when no one else does
00:15:18.720 because they have an oil supply. They can have it. This is the way communism goes. There is no
00:15:23.440 reality. This is what the leftists try to make the argument on. They say we should be in a classless
00:15:28.100 society. Impossible. Smart people will always be ahead of you. Thank you and have a nice day.
00:15:35.360 There are millions upon millions of people smarter than me who have power over the business I do
00:15:41.400 and can disrupt, control, manipulate the things I'm doing. And I only try to do my thing. And same
00:15:46.580 thing goes for you and everybody else. A smart person will navigate a system, find the nooks
00:15:52.600 and the crannies and the exploitation, and they will make it work. So when you say we're going
00:15:57.140 have a communist country, there's going to be a luxury hotel with electricity when you don't have
00:16:02.060 it, and there is nothing you can do to stop it. So you can see they're filming through the windows.
00:16:09.360 It looks beautiful. Beautiful in Cuba. This amazing five-star hotel. Look at these people
00:16:15.400 inside. They're having a good time. That's right. They are welcome in. They can afford it.
00:16:20.380 There you go. Come on in, everybody. Electricity, heating and air conditioning, all of that good
00:16:27.700 stuff. Internet. Just so perfect. We've got this video from the Rubin Report. Hassan Piker says
00:16:34.100 the Cuban people enjoy not having electricity due to their fun island mindset. Keep in mind,
00:16:38.340 he's staying in Cuba's most exclusive hotel with power. Full stop. I'm going to tell you what he
00:16:43.060 actually says. Certainly, you've got the left and the right divide. But if you want to understand
00:16:48.180 understand Hassan's perspective, even if he is a liar or crass or callous, whatever you want to
00:16:53.400 call it. He's not saying they enjoy not having electricity. He's saying that they are finding
00:16:58.100 enjoyment despite the embargo. He is advocating for them to have oil. Here's the video.
00:17:04.700 It's incredible. It's truly one of my favorite places officially. I totally understand why
00:17:09.760 Will was saying that about Cuba. It's remarkable. The people's resilience is remarkable.
00:17:16.160 there's i mean there's like rolling blackouts to take place throughout the day every day all around
00:17:22.320 the country right 11 million people but today is a beautiful day out here it's like 75 degrees
00:17:28.840 sunny people are partying people are partying in the fucking streets there i don't know if it's
00:17:34.620 like an island mindset i don't know if it's like i don't know if that has something to do with it
00:17:38.900 i'm sure that has something to do with it but like they're just chilling like so nowhere in
00:17:45.680 this video is he's saying that they're enjoying not having electricity. The point he is making
00:17:50.580 is that they are having fun regardless of the blackout. So by all means, you can criticize
00:17:59.200 the guy. And I think that's warranted. But I also think it's important to understand the argument
00:18:03.540 he's making and not put words in his mouth, because I think he's largely wrong. Hey,
00:18:07.360 they're just chilling. By all means, call them resilient. But guys, if they opened up to Western
00:18:14.200 trade and dropped the communism stuff and stopped working with our adversaries, they would live like
00:18:18.160 kings. So again, I don't trust that these leftists have the true well-being in mind for these
00:18:24.420 individuals. I think the real issue is they just like communism. So they want to make communism
00:18:29.220 look good. So they're staying in five-star hotels saying, look how resilient these people are. They
00:18:33.800 want communism, bro. The one thing I will say definitively, this is not communism. There will
00:18:39.240 not be communism, and the fact that you are a wealthy man in Cuba during a crisis in a luxury
00:18:45.260 hotel with power and internet proves that. Skeletor, the Muppet pastor on X, says,
00:18:53.120 I'm glad they did this. If only because it shows exactly who they are and how they view the others.
00:18:58.140 They're dying to live up to our stereotypes of them. And it's an image of these lefties
00:19:04.020 filming the poor people sitting in the streets. Man, if I lived in Cuba and these people showed
00:19:10.700 up, I'd be flipping buses over. Don't come like this. There was a video that I reacted to where
00:19:15.220 this woman goes up to a homeless lady you probably saw and puts her hands on her and she's like,
00:19:19.140 are you OK? And the homeless lady's like, why are you doing this to me? I can't stand these people.
00:19:23.520 I'm going to go film how magnanimous I am. Now, look, I'm going to give Hassan some credit
00:19:28.660 because I want to be reasonable. People criticize him for being this wealthy dude who's a
00:19:33.740 socialists or whatever. Here's this tweet. Cyber Boy says, Hassan's $690 button-down shirt alone
00:19:41.720 can feed a family of four in Cuba for about a year. And then someone else says,
00:19:47.080 you didn't look at his Cartier ring. $1,480 Cartier clo ring. And it's like a nail bent
00:19:54.120 around his finger. I got to be honest. I find that very strange that he has that ring.
00:19:58.780 to like, Hassan, I just don't like your aesthetic.
00:20:03.860 I do not like you, your person, your personality, okay?
00:20:08.760 I'll try to respect what your honest take on things are is
00:20:12.100 or what you actually said.
00:20:14.420 But why would anyone, let alone a socialist,
00:20:18.900 buy a $1,500 ring and a $700 shirt?
00:20:22.840 I think this shirt that I'm wearing cost 50 bucks.
00:20:25.500 It's a Brixton flannel I got from Zoomies.
00:20:28.780 It's a $50 shirt. I'm wearing $20 pants that I got from Amazon. And I can afford all these things. I'm not going to buy them. But look, go ahead and buy whatever you want, brother. That being said, the criticism here I don't think is—the criticism about a socialist being super rich and buying extremely expensive clothes, look, I'm going to—that's fair. That is absolutely fair.
00:20:52.280 However, dude literally went to Cuba on a mission that they say is to provide aid.
00:20:59.560 Now, I'm going to say this.
00:21:01.320 I don't know that I believe it, right?
00:21:04.120 I want to be fair and make sure I'm representing what they're saying, but we can always make
00:21:07.980 arguments about what we think they're actually doing.
00:21:09.760 And I think these people are communists who advocate for communism.
00:21:12.000 They hate the United States, and they want to advocate for our adversaries.
00:21:15.620 It is easy to say you're going to provide aid and do all these things, but I don't think
00:21:18.780 that's the real reason, though.
00:21:19.560 I think they're actually doing it.
00:21:20.620 they're doing this to win hearts and minds with propaganda. Unfortunately, they say of communism,
00:21:25.720 you can vote your way in, but you got to shoot your way out. So I'm not sure I think they're
00:21:29.420 being fair. So this guy, Gerard says, Hasan Piker is in Cuba with the Nuestra American Convoid
00:21:37.020 help deliver crucially needed supplies and stand in solidarity with the people in Cuba to highlight
00:21:40.680 the severity of the impacts of the U.S. blockade on the whole country. And this is a video that
00:21:44.660 Hasan posted. I want you to hear what he says about what his mission is and why he's there.
00:21:49.480 What's up, guys? I'm Hassan Piker. I'm here in Havana, Cuba, right now on a humanitarian aid mission alongside numerous other organizations, including but not limited to the DSA.
00:21:59.980 And my goal here today is to bring awareness to what my government, the United States of America, has done to the Cuban population.
00:22:09.700 One of the most ridiculous embargoes of all time that has only gotten more deadly as time has gone on.
00:22:17.740 We have tremendous sanctions on oil transfers in this country.
00:22:22.420 We're not allowing other countries to send in oil as well.
00:22:27.280 It's a necessary resource.
00:22:28.580 The hospitals are in a state of dire disrepair already due to the different components of sanctions.
00:22:35.760 The hospital machines are broken and they can't be repaired because Cuba is considered a state sponsor of terrorism.
00:22:43.400 And I wanted to basically showcase the personal lives of everyday Cubans and how this system, this rigorous sanction system, actually dominates their lives in very meaningful ways.
00:23:00.420 And yet we don't even know about it.
00:23:02.620 Most Americans don't even know about it.
00:23:03.940 And I would go so far as to say even a lot of Cubans don't know about it either.
00:23:07.980 Indeed.
00:23:08.420 And then I would go so far as to say sanctions are good and I'm in favor of the embargo.
00:23:13.400 we want soft power. We do not want bombs and war and killing. So when we have an adversary,
00:23:21.520 we have a nation that is opposed to our interests. What do we do? I would prefer not to invade or
00:23:27.120 kill or otherwise. I'd prefer we simply say we are not going to allow trade from our country to
00:23:33.800 yours. We are not going to allow our trade partners to work with you. And then they say,
00:23:39.640 oh, but that's not fair, and we should bring China, and China's not coming to our hemisphere
00:23:43.540 and bringing resources to our adversaries. Why would we allow that? We don't want war. We don't
00:23:48.800 want gunfire. We don't want people being shot. This is the easiest thing to do, and it's honestly
00:23:54.740 the most humane way to have a conflict. So when Hassan is saying we're going to bring these
00:23:58.880 resources, this is so inhumane, what are we going to do? We're going to allow our adversaries to set
00:24:03.700 up a base? We have no obligation to do that. The Cuban Missile Crisis was crazy. The world could
00:24:09.320 have ended. Now I get it. Conflict exists. We wish it didn't. But if it's going to exist,
00:24:13.900 I will take sanctions over anything else. Well, my friends, Cuba's deputy foreign minister says
00:24:19.840 its military is preparing for possible aggression from the U.S. The Cuban official insisted that
00:24:25.760 negotiations on regime change weren't on the table amid talks with the U.S. Indeed, the people with
00:24:30.400 power don't want to give that power up. You know, I think about the history of nations and countries
00:24:37.160 and Conquest. I was watching Braveheart. And I'm sure you've all seen it. And also The Patriot,
00:24:44.580 because Mel Gibson, you know, he makes great movies, apparently. And there are honest
00:24:47.780 questions about when is the right time to bend the knee and when it is not the right time to
00:24:52.740 bend the knee. And I would argue this. I do not see anything meaningful for the Cuban people in
00:25:00.180 resisting American influence. None whatsoever. I guess, you know, opposing gay communism or
00:25:05.540 whatever, but the gay communists are there propping you up. So they got more gay communists
00:25:09.320 than literal communists than they would if they were with the United States. I put it like this.
00:25:13.340 We're a powerful nation. Good. We have allies and influence, and we don't want our adversaries
00:25:18.900 funding our adversaries. We don't want our adversaries providing funding to other adversaries,
00:25:22.560 especially in our region, in our hemisphere. And so we go to Cuba. We say, listen,
00:25:27.920 come into the Western fold. You'll get access, trade, resources. You'll live like kings. And
00:25:32.000 they say no. And the question is why? For what ideological reason do they oppose it? Now, of
00:25:38.340 course, you're going to hear people on the left say things like capitalism is bad. Yeah, I'm pretty
00:25:42.480 sure the leaders of this country and the people of this country would greatly benefit from expanding
00:25:46.920 economics. That's why they're trying to get them oil, because they want to be there. It's so crazy
00:25:52.320 that Greta Thunberg, of all people, was like, they're blocking the oil from Cuba, who like only
00:25:57.660 four years ago, it's like, we must stop all oil. Now she's for it. There are countries where,
00:26:04.740 say, like Islamists will come and say, bow before us and live our way or die. And that's when I'm
00:26:10.900 like, you know, there's a line. You want to put women in, you know, lock them down, strip them
00:26:16.580 of their rights, chop off people's hands, like just transform our way of life so dramatically
00:26:22.580 and so detrimentally. We would say no to this. But with the people of Cuba, it's not really like
00:26:28.400 that. The people of Cuba would live like gangs if they went back into the Western fold. So this is
00:26:33.580 just a protracted and prolonged suffering for no reason. And the communists, of course, are going
00:26:38.500 to advocate for communism. Well, Trump says maybe we're going to go in. Cuba's deputy foreign
00:26:44.520 minister said Sunday the nation's military is preparing for the possibility of military
00:26:47.520 aggression from the U.S. and that it would be naive for Cuba's leaders to ignore the possibility
00:26:52.000 of conflict. Our military is always prepared. And in fact, it is prepared these days for the
00:26:57.200 possibility of military aggression. We would be naive not to consider the possibility of conflict.
00:27:03.260 Fernandez de Cosio said the country's leaders truly hope that doesn't occur.
00:27:06.780 We don't see why it would have to occur. We find no justification whatsoever.
00:27:10.980 Tensions between the U.S. and Cuba have been escalating following the U.S. military operation
00:27:14.200 in Venezuela. That led to the capture of the nation's President Maduro. This we all understand.
00:27:18.120 In January, Trump signed an executive order threatening to impose tariffs on goods from
00:27:22.520 countries that sold or provided oil to Cuba.
00:27:26.220 Residents of the island have suffered daily power outages amid the U.S. blockade.
00:27:30.440 I'll tell you what's happening.
00:27:32.420 It's all part of the big picture.
00:27:34.520 Venezuela, Iran, Cuba.
00:27:36.980 It is to bring back the petrodollar.
00:27:41.260 The contract with Saudi Arabia ended.
00:27:44.160 Saudi Arabia was saying, anybody wants to buy oil from us, it's got to be in U.S. dollars.
00:27:47.520 That created the linchpin by which all of the countries agreed to operate.
00:27:52.500 We provide aid, I'll put quotes on the aid, to foreign countries so that they have U.S.
00:27:58.240 dollars to buy oil with, maintaining the petrodollar system.
00:28:02.820 We took out Maduro to get access to Venezuelan oil because Iran has disrupted the Strait
00:28:06.760 of Hormuz, threatening the Gulf states who transport 20 percent of oil and natural gas.
00:28:13.000 Trump wants the U.S. to be the unipolar power on the planet.
00:28:17.520 And that's the game he's playing. In the meantime, the people that are in opposition to this war
00:28:22.220 and what is going on with Iran have explicitly stated it's time for the U.S. to share power
00:28:27.920 with other countries. When asked if this means China, Tucker Carlson said, of course.
00:28:33.680 There are two worlds about it, a global world. And it's interesting that this shift has happened
00:28:39.760 where whatever you think of Tucker Carlson, advocating for a multipolar world with other
00:28:45.400 large nations means our Western worldview will be third place, third rate. Donald Trump doesn't
00:28:54.900 want that, and he's going to do whatever it takes to get it. But then there are prominent individuals
00:28:59.840 who are very critical of the liberal economic order. And of course, I have been as well.
00:29:04.780 I've not been a big fan of the idea of America as world police. I like the idea
00:29:08.480 of what Trump was originally working on, securing our borders, bringing manufacturing back.
00:29:15.080 However, as I stated, and guys, you watch my show, you heard me say it.
00:29:19.640 I'll take credit for it.
00:29:21.080 Donald Trump was butting heads with reality.
00:29:23.560 An aging population, no new people, and the collapse of the petrodollar means.
00:29:28.660 In the short term, there won't be a U.S.
00:29:30.920 And if you really want to turn this thing around, you've got to have a gradual shift
00:29:35.020 back to strengthening America.
00:29:36.360 You can't just overnight.
00:29:38.400 Otherwise, it all comes crashing down.
00:29:40.900 The argument that I've made for some time is the powers that be want to shift the power
00:29:44.760 of the United States to China to avert Thucydides' trap.
00:29:48.720 And I believe I have been largely vindicated.
00:29:51.040 I don't know for sure.
00:29:52.560 Thucydides' trap is that when a global power is in decline and there's an ascending power,
00:29:57.200 they go to war.
00:29:58.460 The dominant power's last chance to stop the loss of total power is to fight about it.
00:30:04.580 And the powers that be, the uniparty deep state said, let's just transfer assets to
00:30:09.260 China, let them run the show and we'll be rich forever. And therein lies the big question about
00:30:13.280 when you lay down your sword and just say, let me be rich. In this instance, it's an existential
00:30:19.720 crisis to the United States. Trump says no, and he'll do whatever it takes to make sure
00:30:25.380 that the answer stays no. We will not give up that power. But there are certainly many leaders
00:30:31.000 confronted with an ascendant to China who said we'll kiss the pinky ring.
00:30:35.560 I think about it like, you know, Braveheart. And it's not a complete representation of the
00:30:43.320 conflict and the ultimate rule of, you know, Great Britain. But he did not want them to come
00:30:49.500 in and assert authority over the Scots. Although the history is much more complicated than just
00:30:55.060 that movie, again, I'll stress. The point is, if you're facing death and destruction,
00:31:00.280 the king comes to and says, listen, we're going to provide resources for you. You're going to be
00:31:04.260 in the fold. If you largely agree ideologically, why say no? Another way to look at it is if a
00:31:11.280 powerful corporate interest came to me and said, we will never interfere with the creative process
00:31:15.560 of the company that you're doing. We want to invest and provide resources and make the show
00:31:18.560 bigger. Why say no? Why simply just go to war and get destroyed when they're offering you an
00:31:24.520 opportunity? That's my point about Cuba. Why should Cuba just lay down and die when they're
00:31:29.460 being offered wealth and access? And it's not even that ideological, there's not even a great
00:31:33.700 ideological difference. I would then say to China, when they offer our elites, I say clearly there is
00:31:39.960 an ideological difference worth resisting. My friends, pick your poison. Trump is now engaging
00:31:47.260 in the wars that so many people didn't want him to, because I think Trump realized with Saudi
00:31:51.940 Arabia off the petrodollar, China wins. And so when his goal is make America great again,
00:31:57.940 You can't have a unipolar China power globally because then we will just be, we will be Cuba'd.
00:32:04.640 We will be embargoed and sanctioned and our economy will stagnate.
00:32:08.560 So Trump is saying no to that.
00:32:10.580 I'm not going to tell you what is or isn't right or wrong or good or whatever, but that's just what is happening.
00:32:14.920 So to our lefty American friends who are on their little jaunt, we'll call it.
00:32:20.880 Well, you know, have fun.
00:32:21.800 I think they're largely down there to propagandize, not really to provide aid.
00:32:26.680 But if they're helping out some people, I'll take that and I'll still criticize them.
00:32:31.140 Five-star hotels, huh?
00:32:33.200 Well, how else are you going to stream?
