00:00:00.820 Love. Courage. Truth. Glenn Beck.
00:00:06.200 Hi there, it's Doc Thompson in for Glenn Beck today, regularly heard on the Blaze Radio Network with Chris Cruz and Cal, who's spinning the dials radio style for us this morning.
00:00:15.280 Thanks so much for joining us. It's ironic that some people were so upset by violence perpetrated Sunday night in Las Vegas that they called for violence in response to it.
00:00:27.260 It's ironic that many people called out hate by being hateful.
00:00:33.860 These are people that are possibly brain damaged. At very least, they are over-emotional, meaning that they are unable to process and control their emotions.
00:00:43.840 Obviously, we're all emotional. Human beings are emotional people, and emotions are a good thing.
00:00:51.160 But unfortunately, there are some that live among us that are over-emotional, meaning that they are not in control of their emotions.
00:00:58.440 Certainly, there are times in our lives when we are not in control of our emotions.
00:01:02.580 A loved one dies, something tragic happens, and for a moment, for a short while, you become over-emotional.
00:01:09.900 That's all you lead with. You can't think rationally, and you do silly things.
00:01:14.240 Of course, that happens to all of us.
00:01:16.300 But there is a segment of our society that perpetually lives there that is always in a state of emotional breakdown.
00:01:25.700 That they look around and see the bad that you and I see and are frustrated at times and become so emotional, they even become hypocritical.
00:01:37.100 The number of people on social media over the last 24 hours that have called out some people for being hateful and violent and have done that by being hateful and violent.
00:01:50.500 Is that wrong?
00:01:51.560 I would say it's wrong, and it's certainly hypocritical.
00:01:58.600 But it's about the children, Doug.
00:02:00.280 What about the children, Chris? What about them?
00:02:04.120 Do you want children to die? Do you want people to die?
00:02:08.700 No. No, I don't.
00:02:11.020 But there is also common sense.
00:02:13.460 Common sense legislation, common sense governance, common sense rules, common sense ways that we act in a society that you don't necessarily even need the government involved in.
00:02:25.480 It's just common sense stuff.
00:02:27.940 And when you are over-emotional, you're clearly not getting that.
00:02:31.120 So, I'm going to give you an update on what we know about the despicable murderer in Las Vegas, Stephen Paddock.
00:02:40.100 And then we're going to share some of the communiques that we and other people received, some of the social media posts over the last 24 hours from some of those very caring people on the left.
00:02:54.180 And I'm going to try to help them out.
00:02:56.620 Okay. That's very good of you.
00:02:58.460 That's who I am. I think you know that.
00:03:00.380 I am a helper. You know that.
00:03:02.140 Awesome. Thank you.
00:03:02.520 So, first, an update on what happened yesterday.
00:03:05.480 59 people now dead.
00:03:07.840 The death toll at 59.
00:03:09.720 The number of injured, 527.
00:03:13.060 527 people injured, 59 dead, at the hands of 64-year-old Stephen Paddock, who began shooting Sunday night from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel.
00:03:24.660 His brother said he was a millionaire and recently even won a $40,000 jackpot.
00:03:30.760 The FBI said there's no apparent tie to international terrorism.
00:03:35.180 23 guns were found inside the room, including at least one handgun.
00:03:39.380 Some of the guns even had scopes.
00:03:41.040 Thousands of rounds of ammunition still found there.
00:03:44.180 He had a camera mounted in the hotel room to record himself.
00:03:48.380 Now, we've not heard reports where if he actually recorded himself, if a video exists, likely we would never see if it is.
00:03:55.900 I think that's a big fail.
00:03:57.560 Not showing, if there's a video out there, not showing that video is a big fail.
00:04:02.980 I think you're right.
00:04:03.900 Just like they did not release the audio from the Pulse nightclub.
00:04:08.380 When he called, they show you just a little bit, but they don't show that he actually stood on the line and you could hear back and forth.
00:04:15.280 Right, I think that actually helps make the case that this is a problem and we need to think this through and do some things.
00:04:21.400 I don't think it's insensitive.
00:04:23.960 But he did have a camera mounted in there.
00:04:26.960 Ammonium nitrate was found in his automobile.
00:04:30.680 Ammonium nitrate is a component of some fertilizers.
00:04:34.480 That's what this was, a fertilizer with ammonium nitrate.
00:04:36.920 And that's also what was used partially to take down the federal building in Oklahoma City.
00:04:43.260 At the hands of Tim McVeigh, it was ammonium nitrate fertilizer and also kerosene.
00:04:48.380 We don't know how far along he was in a bomb making process.
00:04:52.640 I think it's fairly safe to say that if you shoot, you know, 600 people, that you probably, if you had ammonium nitrate in your car, you were probably going to use it to create a bomb.
00:05:03.360 Yes.
00:05:03.620 It wasn't like, no, I just happen to have ammonium nitrate, but it had nothing to do with that.
00:05:08.660 I went to the store, Lowe's, and I forgot.
00:05:10.840 On my way to kill people.
00:05:12.160 I forgot to unload that off of the house.
00:05:13.920 The fertilizer, it should have been.
00:05:15.840 I was going to garden tomorrow.
00:05:17.040 I don't think that's what happened.
00:05:19.720 Inside his home in Mesquite, Nevada, about 80 miles from Las Vegas, they found another 18 firearms, several thousand rounds of ammunition, and more explosives.
00:05:29.620 His 62-year-old live-in girlfriend was in Asia at the time.
00:05:34.700 Now, we had heard reports early on Monday morning that she was arrested.
00:05:38.740 She was a person of interest and that they had arrested her.
00:05:40.920 That is not the case.
00:05:42.220 Law enforcement in Las Vegas says if she returns to the United States, they, of course, will have some questions for her.
00:05:47.440 But at this point, they say she was in Asia.
00:05:50.140 We don't know if she had any knowledge of this, but she wasn't there when it happened.
00:05:55.100 Officers, as they approached the hotel room to investigate what was going on, he opened fire on them.
00:06:03.180 But these were Las Vegas police officers.
00:06:07.080 The officers that broke in and found him dead were SWAT officers.
00:06:11.180 So it was a different team.
00:06:12.400 Yeah.
00:06:12.620 Right.
00:06:12.940 So at first, he did fire on them.
00:06:14.560 He had one officer in the leg.
00:06:16.460 But then they backed off, waited for SWAT.
00:06:19.780 In the meantime, he killed himself.
00:06:21.840 SWAT goes in and takes him down.
00:06:24.200 There was some confusion.
00:06:25.220 And Chris and I, all yesterday afternoon, could not understand why there were two windows out in the hotel.
00:06:30.520 Well, we knew that he was likely shooting out of them because it gave him an advantage.
00:06:35.980 An advantage, yeah.
00:06:37.280 But was it two rooms?
00:06:38.700 They were pretty far apart.
00:06:39.900 Yeah, and then one thing I told you yesterday, it's like, I don't want nobody from the FBI to search my computer.
00:06:45.720 Because it was three hours of searching floor plans.
00:06:50.060 So I was Mandela Bay floor plans.
00:06:53.920 32nd floor, corner window.
00:06:56.600 And we were able to find it.
00:06:58.600 Then different types of firearms and ammonium nitrate and Tim McVeigh.
00:07:02.360 Yeah, we're on a bunch of radar screens today.
00:07:05.620 We triggered.
00:07:06.480 So we looked it up.
00:07:08.400 And it turns out he had a suite that was at one end of the hotel facing the north end of the strip.
00:07:14.800 So if you were looking out his windows across diagonally at the venue that he fired upon,
00:07:20.900 the window to the left, again, looking out of the hotel, looks north down the strip.
00:07:25.720 And then he had that window that was due east.
00:07:28.720 The venue that he fired on would have been to the northeast of the building.
00:07:32.520 The reason it was two windows, it was either one giant suite with two bedrooms or a connecting room.
00:07:39.360 Now, that's important because I had questions about, okay, if those are two separate rooms,
00:07:43.200 which they even led with in some of the news, did he run down the hall?
00:07:47.180 What was going on?
00:07:48.040 Yeah, and then it goes back to this is a 64-year-old man.
00:07:50.720 And does he have this stamina to go back and forth and what's going on?
00:07:55.640 Yeah.
00:07:55.940 So they were at least connected and he did set up.
00:07:58.720 They said he broke the glass of the windows, likely with a hammer-like device,
00:08:03.440 which I don't know why he just wouldn't shoot through it, but okay.
00:08:06.280 What is a hammer-like device, Chris?
00:08:08.240 What I'm thinking is those, you know, those tactical hammers that police use.
00:08:13.020 Oh, yeah.
00:08:13.660 When they're trying to break into a window.
00:08:15.180 That's what I think.
00:08:16.340 But, you know, I want to give it to this guy.
00:08:18.540 You know, he was trying to be classy.
00:08:20.720 He didn't just shoot through it.
00:08:21.760 He wasn't a barbarian when he executed 59 people.
00:08:25.420 No, no, no.
00:08:25.720 He wanted to go out and do it the proper way.
00:08:28.240 Here's the bizarre and strange part of this.
00:08:33.520 Still, we have no motive.
00:08:36.680 What was his motive in this thing?
00:08:39.400 It's really important.
00:08:41.660 What was his motive?
00:08:42.920 While a lot of people are focusing on the method of murder, the guns, and melting down about
00:08:53.000 the method, the how, the why is much more important.
00:08:58.480 The why is more important because that's how we stop future mass murders like this.
00:09:05.560 The how, you're never going to stop every way you can mass murder people.
00:09:12.800 Take away all guns.
00:09:14.340 What about the knives?
00:09:15.540 Take away the knives.
00:09:16.820 What about golf clubs?
00:09:18.160 Take away the golf clubs.
00:09:19.520 What about baseball bats?
00:09:21.100 Take all of those away.
00:09:22.600 What about heavy blunt objects?
00:09:24.360 What about rocks?
00:09:26.220 What about your fists?
00:09:27.160 What about your fists?
00:09:28.020 You can pummel someone to death.
00:09:29.260 There are limitless ways you can murder, even on large scales.
00:09:35.300 Remember, the most significant mass murders on American soil took place without guns.
00:09:47.080 9-11, it was box cutters.
00:09:49.260 Tim McVeigh, it was ammonium nitrate and kerosene.
00:09:52.600 The attack on the school in Bath, Michigan.
00:09:55.080 The most deadly attack on a school in American history was a bomb.
00:10:00.620 It was not guns.
00:10:01.340 You can murder countless ways.
00:10:02.680 So the how is not really as important as the why.
00:10:07.560 When you get the why, then you can start determining how we change it in the future.
00:10:15.060 What makes somebody do something like this?
00:10:19.160 Why do you do it?
00:10:20.300 But this guy, this dirtbag Steven Paddock, does not fit any of the traditional profiles.
00:10:29.180 None of the obvious.
00:10:31.380 What are the traditional profiles of a mass murderer like this?
00:10:35.360 Loner.
00:10:36.260 Brooding loner.
00:10:37.560 Adam Lanza.
00:10:39.700 Sandy Hook, right?
00:10:40.840 Yep.
00:10:41.540 The crazy, brooding loner.
00:10:43.320 Everyone knew he had problems.
00:10:44.480 Stole the gun from his mom.
00:10:45.760 Crazy eyes.
00:10:46.760 Oh, crazy eyes.
00:10:47.680 James Holmes in Aurora, right?
00:10:50.300 He was a loner and also had the crazy eyes.
00:10:52.540 This guy's not a loner.
00:10:53.740 He had a little bit of a girlfriend.
00:10:55.140 He got along.
00:10:55.800 He was social.
00:10:56.580 He was a millionaire, you know, an alleged millionaire.
00:10:59.260 Okay, that brings up something else.
00:11:00.680 A lot of these people, especially the ones that are radicalized based on faith from the
00:11:05.140 Middle East, radical Muslims, are people that are radicalized partially because they are
00:11:10.200 poor.
00:11:11.000 They look at poverty in their own and they want to pretend that it's on a grid.
00:11:14.500 Well, I'm trying to help everybody.
00:11:15.660 It's not fair that some people, what they really mean is it's not fair that I don't
00:11:19.760 have what other people have.
00:11:21.760 This guy may, according to his brother, was a millionaire.
00:11:26.040 So he wasn't that.
00:11:27.520 Young, that's another one.
00:11:29.020 Yeah.
00:11:29.160 A lot of the Muslim terrorists, the extremist Muslim, they're young guys.
00:11:33.400 Adam Lanza, James Holmes, Young.
00:11:34.720 This guy's 64.
00:11:36.020 Yeah.
00:11:36.760 64.
00:11:37.200 64.
00:11:39.440 That doesn't apply.
00:11:42.640 Oh, crazy.
00:11:44.520 Great.
00:11:45.080 Oh, certifiable.
00:11:46.460 Nope.
00:11:46.880 Never been determined.
00:11:47.560 He had a pilot's license, which meant he at least had a review of his mental state in
00:11:53.100 order to get his pilot's license.
00:11:54.660 Well, not just that.
00:11:55.340 He was able to purchase guns from different gun salesmen, you know, and so how are you
00:12:03.020 able, if you're that crazy, how are you able to get guns from different dealers?
00:12:07.980 The people who sold it to him, his family, his friends, anybody who knew him, nobody has
00:12:12.500 come forth and said, oh yeah, that guy was crazy.
00:12:15.260 What about this one?
00:12:16.140 Caring.
00:12:16.800 He called his brother to check on his mom.
00:12:19.000 Check on his mom.
00:12:19.740 How's mom doing?
00:12:20.980 He doesn't fit any of the profiles.
00:12:23.140 So what is going on?
00:12:26.020 What happened?
00:12:26.900 And I've come up with a couple of basic thoughts on this as far as motive goes, that
00:12:35.540 unless there's something we don't know, remember the guy who shot up the tower in 1966 in Texas
00:12:42.200 in Austin, he had a tumor in his head, I think, had been fairly normal, wrote that he
00:12:48.080 didn't know why he was having these crazy thoughts and feelings.
00:12:50.460 And he started questioning himself.
00:12:51.120 Right.
00:12:52.320 Outside of something like that or aliens or some grand conspiracy theory that he
00:12:56.880 really wasn't responsible, the government did it and just pinned it on him or something.
00:13:00.460 Outside of that, likely the information we've gotten from his brother or others is inaccurate.
00:13:06.780 Maybe he had financial trouble.
00:13:08.720 Maybe he had been, oh, his brother said no rabid political or religious viewpoint.
00:13:14.000 Church, religion, none of those.
00:13:16.560 Well, maybe his brother didn't know him as well.
00:13:18.360 He was leading a double, leading a double life or something.
00:13:20.780 Maybe he had fallen on hard times financially.
00:13:23.520 Likely some of the information we've gotten is not accurate.
00:13:26.880 I think he did it for political reasons.
00:13:29.420 Purely my speculation at this point.
00:13:31.880 But we don't know why.
00:13:33.980 I want to get some of your calls on that and tell me, what do you think it is?
00:13:37.080 We'll speculate a little bit.
00:13:38.260 I'm trying to figure out the why.
00:13:40.380 888-727-BECK.
00:13:42.020 888-727-BECK.
00:13:43.180 B-E-E-C-K if you want to join the program.
00:13:44.660 You can also tweet at Doc Thompson's show or Real Chris Cruz.
00:13:48.460 Yeah.
00:13:49.040 At Real Chris Cruz or Cal 79 who's spinning the dials radio style for us.
00:13:53.900 Use the hashtag what I learned today and speculate.
00:13:56.520 We're looking for some answers.
00:13:58.520 And until they come up with them and I haven't heard anything's coming forthwith, give me some possibilities so we can investigate a little bit more.
00:14:07.060 With our limited resources, albeit, we can do some investigating.
00:14:11.080 888-727-BECK.
00:14:12.880 Back in a minute with more.
00:14:13.780 It's Doc Thompson in for Glenn today.
00:14:18.060 Glenn Beck.
00:14:24.220 Glenn Beck.
00:14:26.700 Doc Thompson in for Glenn.
00:14:28.280 I appreciate you joining me today.
00:14:30.240 I'm admitting this is speculation.
00:14:33.480 I'm asking you to speculate.
00:14:35.540 Not to conflate what is fact.
00:14:37.380 We've laid out the facts.
00:14:38.600 Not somebody who likes to twist the facts or omit certain facts to push an agenda like lots of people who have commented on this story.
00:14:47.420 But I want speculation.
00:14:49.400 We're trying to find out what the possible motive for this knucklehead was.
00:14:54.000 Because the best I've come up with, the closest, is we don't know everything about him and what we've heard is not accurate.
00:15:02.620 And he was either out of money, and that drove him, or likely politically motivated.
00:15:08.280 You got people tweeting out what I learned today.
00:15:10.580 You got Tress Burton saying the GOP baseball game shooter was 66, politically driven.
00:15:17.160 That's what I think now.
00:15:18.320 True.
00:15:19.160 Although he had had some problems.
00:15:21.580 Yes.
00:15:21.880 That guy had had some problems.
00:15:24.000 But he was older.
00:15:25.260 You're right.
00:15:25.640 And politically driven.
00:15:28.320 And certainly politically motivated.
00:15:30.680 I think we're going to find out this guy was more politically motivated than we realize.
00:15:34.460 Chris Cruz and I did some research last night on the venue in Las Vegas.
00:15:38.260 Yes.
00:15:38.580 And they do have some other upcoming open air concerts.
00:15:41.800 Yeah.
00:15:41.920 You got the EDM concert.
00:15:43.560 Which is electronic music.
00:15:44.900 Electronic music.
00:15:46.120 You have a other couple of big concerts.
00:15:48.320 But an Oktoberfest is coming too.
00:15:49.880 You got Oktoberfest.
00:15:50.640 So this guy would have had other opportunities.
00:15:52.880 It's not like he would have had to wait six months for another outdoor event to pray on
00:15:57.200 them.
00:15:57.700 Like a week.
00:15:58.740 The seventh, I think.
00:15:59.600 Yeah, it was the seventh.
00:16:00.500 I think something's coming up this weekend.
00:16:02.500 So why did he wait till the end of this three-day music festival?
00:16:07.280 And he did it like toward the final hours.
00:16:10.100 How come he didn't set off the bombs or even rig it in his car?
00:16:15.480 Did he run out of time?
00:16:17.960 Just speculating.
00:16:18.960 888-727-BECK.
00:16:20.240 Let's go to Georgia now.
00:16:21.360 And John, thanks for holding.
00:16:22.620 Welcome to the program.
00:16:24.820 Hey, how's it going, Doc?
00:16:25.800 Nice to meet you.
00:16:26.480 Thank you, sir.
00:16:27.220 Thank you very much.
00:16:28.800 Not too bad.
00:16:29.340 Hey, I want to bring up kind of an odd coincidence.
00:16:32.360 If you watch the video, especially when you're looking straight at the video of Jason Aldean
00:16:37.200 when he's performing, there's an image of two towers in the background that almost mimics
00:16:42.880 the 9-11 two towers.
00:16:45.380 Not to mention the name of the festival is Route 9-1 Harvest Festival.
00:16:49.580 Interesting.
00:16:50.040 Just some weird circumstance.
00:16:52.880 I recommend people go actually look at the videos.
00:16:55.720 I've went on Google Maps and looked up the two towers.
00:16:58.020 I cannot figure out what they are.
00:16:59.560 They seem to be on a vacant lot.
00:17:02.240 This was not on the video screen.
00:17:03.880 These are just at the venue you're talking about.
00:17:06.480 Yes, there are actual two large towers in the background.
00:17:10.940 They actually exist.
00:17:12.080 Watch the video.
00:17:12.980 You'll see it.
00:17:13.460 I mean, it's hidden in plain sight.
00:17:15.060 There's an interesting book that people might want to Google.
00:17:17.700 It's called The Most Dangerous Book in the World.
00:17:20.460 It's by an author named S.K. Bain.
00:17:23.120 He kind of touches up on some of these weird circumstances.
00:17:26.260 Interesting.
00:17:26.900 That seems to happen over and over again.
00:17:28.640 John, I appreciate that.
00:17:29.800 Yeah, I'll check it out.
00:17:30.580 That is interesting.
00:17:31.440 Thanks so much for the call.
00:17:32.680 Let's go to California now.
00:17:34.260 And Nick, you're on the Glenn Beck program.
00:17:35.940 How are you?
00:17:37.600 Hey, guys.
00:17:38.060 How's it going?
00:17:38.760 Doing well.
00:17:39.480 We're just speculating.
00:17:41.360 What's this guy's motive?
00:17:43.600 Well, here's my thought.
00:17:44.840 One of the reasons why I think he had so many guns in his room is because he didn't want
00:17:51.760 to leave them in his car.
00:17:53.320 Okay.
00:17:54.640 And we're talking about a three-day music festival.
00:17:57.640 His room faces the venue.
00:18:00.540 Maybe he didn't know when this thing was going to end.
00:18:02.940 Maybe he's just tired of the noise.
00:18:05.060 Maybe he's tired of the noise.
00:18:06.560 Come on.
00:18:07.140 Come on.
00:18:08.760 All right.
00:18:09.280 I'm serious.
00:18:09.840 He might be into something because Stephen here, Sweden, says a motive.
00:18:13.740 Maybe the music was too loud.
00:18:16.280 No, I'm thinking that's probably not it.
00:18:18.460 Nick, thanks so much for the call.
00:18:20.680 He had 23 guns.
00:18:22.260 This is what I don't understand.
00:18:23.080 I know a lot of these knuckleheads stock up.
00:18:25.460 You're going to do this and they take four, five, six guns.
00:18:27.840 23?
00:18:28.760 That's a lot.
00:18:29.320 Well, that's a combination between home and...
00:18:31.940 No, no.
00:18:32.740 23 was in the room.
00:18:34.220 Another 18 at home.
00:18:35.160 So, yeah.
00:18:35.920 Wow.
00:18:36.140 I don't need those 18, but I need these 23.
00:18:38.480 Like, I even get, as twisted as he is, that he thinks he needed more ammo.
00:18:43.360 You'd need more ammo.
00:18:44.700 Right?
00:18:45.080 Bring as much ammo to do as much destruction as possible.
00:18:47.420 And even a couple of guns in case you got to run down the hall or your gun jams or something.
00:18:52.900 But why 23?
00:18:55.720 What?
00:18:56.320 Is that just part of the craziness?
00:18:58.080 Is that a magic number?
00:19:00.300 I don't know.
00:19:01.220 Well, tell us.
00:19:02.020 888-727-BECK.
00:19:03.620 More of your calls coming up.
00:19:06.140 Glenn Beck.
00:19:15.740 This is the Glenn Beck Program.
00:19:19.160 Please go to my Facebook page.
00:19:20.760 It's facebook.com slash Doc Thompson show.
00:19:23.760 Facebook.com slash Doc Thompson show.
00:19:26.180 I have posted up there a fast facts video.
00:19:29.080 It's just a couple minutes long.
00:19:30.300 We did it a couple of months ago.
00:19:31.960 And it lays out the facts about the Second Amendment.
00:19:34.700 Because unfortunately, that has become the issue.
00:19:37.660 You've got a guy murder somebody.
00:19:39.680 And how he murdered them becomes the issue with very little concern, apparently, from our friends on the left.
00:19:46.720 As to why he murdered.
00:19:49.400 They're only concerned with this one thing.
00:19:51.680 They just lie in wait about this political issue until a tragedy happens.
00:19:56.540 And then they attack politically, making it about the guns.
00:20:01.860 So if you want facts about the Second Amendment, you want some ammunition to defend the Second Amendment.
00:20:07.140 If you want to understand it, why it was written, what the founding fathers thought, it's a short little video.
00:20:12.320 The fast facts laid out for you.
00:20:14.420 Just go to the facebook.com slash Doc Thompson show.
00:20:18.140 And it's pinned to the top.
00:20:19.400 Please share it, if you would, as well.
00:20:21.920 It's really well done.
00:20:23.220 Even the verbiage of the Second Amendment is discussed.
00:20:26.900 That we lay out that it's not the first part of it.
00:20:31.480 The first clause does not offer a limitation to the powers to own, to keep, and bear arms.
00:20:40.680 It's offering one reason why they say we need to make sure people can keep and bear arms.
00:20:47.680 All at the facebook.com slash DocThompsonShow.
00:20:50.840 Please go there.
00:20:51.660 Tweets are coming in.
00:20:52.440 It's at DocThompsonShow after a real Chris Cruz in a Cal 79.
00:20:56.240 Susan E., you're asking for people to kind of speculate what happened.
00:21:00.000 What's his motive?
00:21:00.680 What's his motive?
00:21:01.820 So Susan E. is saying, Doc Thompson, could this be a shooter slash murder being possessed like with demons?
00:21:08.320 Spiritual warfare is real.
00:21:10.780 She's right.
00:21:11.860 I usually hesitate to bring that up because, unfortunately, in today's world you sound crazy.
00:21:17.680 Um, I'm not so sure that some crazy people wouldn't be actually just possessed.
00:21:22.780 It could be.
00:21:23.300 It could be anything like that.
00:21:24.840 You got Mick Fisher also tweeting out about Doc.
00:21:27.120 I haven't listened to your show in a while.
00:21:29.560 Um, your sidekick is really bad.
00:21:32.320 Glenn out again.
00:21:33.380 Sorry, Doc.
00:21:34.060 Get out now.
00:21:35.660 Does that mean you?
00:21:36.980 I don't know.
00:21:38.000 Is it me out?
00:21:39.020 You out?
00:21:40.020 Sidekick.
00:21:41.000 Wow.
00:21:41.540 I think he's giving you too much credit there, too.
00:21:43.280 Yeah.
00:21:43.940 Wow.
00:21:44.160 When did I get this promotion to sidekick?
00:21:45.940 I don't know.
00:21:46.540 Chris is just kind of a hanger on.
00:21:48.400 Yeah.
00:21:48.580 Uh, we're speculating because it's odd at this point that we don't have more of a motivation
00:21:52.780 to almost always when it comes to one of these type of tax, these mass murders, we
00:21:58.360 know pretty quick what the motive is.
00:22:00.480 Even if they don't confirm it right away within hours, we have a pretty good guess that is
00:22:04.400 almost always confirmed.
00:22:06.360 Um, but at this point we don't.
00:22:08.040 All right, let's go to the phones now.
00:22:09.440 Let's go to Mississippi and Ryan, you're on the Glenn Beck program.
00:22:14.160 Hey, all right.
00:22:16.880 Move over this way just a second.
00:22:18.440 There you go.
00:22:19.040 Sharon in Mississippi.
00:22:20.060 How are you?
00:22:21.540 Good morning, Doc.
00:22:22.560 Um, I have an idea.
00:22:24.520 I saw a clip of where he had fallen in the hall of the Mandalay bag.
00:22:29.460 Yes.
00:22:29.840 And he tried to sue them and he lost.
00:22:32.280 I'm thinking he might not still be a millionaire.
00:22:36.460 He might have been expecting to win that lawsuit.
00:22:39.200 And when it didn't go through, that was, um, you know, it wasn't going to work out.
00:22:44.460 He may have just told his family and his girlfriend.
00:22:47.480 And then he had won that $40,000.
00:22:49.860 That's probably, I would think they gave him that sweet and, uh, probably a lot of gambling
00:22:55.560 chips as compensation.
00:22:57.040 I think you might be onto something, but you're just a touch off on your facts.
00:23:02.180 You got it kind of right.
00:23:03.180 He actually was trying to sue the Cosmopolitan Hotel, which is just down the street.
00:23:07.940 Uh-huh.
00:23:08.660 So he wasn't trying to sue the Mandalay.
00:23:10.680 That ended up, yeah, he had slipped on what was described as some sort of liquid on the
00:23:14.700 floor.
00:23:15.240 He tried to sue for compensation for his medical bills or whatever.
00:23:19.200 And it ended up being thrown out, I think in 2014.
00:23:23.100 Mm-hmm.
00:23:23.920 So they had reported it was the Mandalay Bay.
00:23:26.260 So they probably got that wrong, which would make it, you know, uh, thing more likely.
00:23:30.940 But, um, you know, I'm also thinking he probably has a problem with the election.
00:23:36.260 Do you think this could be motivated politically?
00:23:39.440 Oh yeah.
00:23:39.860 I think Trump probably just sent him over the edge.
00:23:42.600 Maybe.
00:23:43.260 Could be.
00:23:43.940 I mean, you know.
00:23:44.580 We've seen a lot of people that are crazy about that.
00:23:46.480 Yeah.
00:23:47.440 It's a possibility because, um, you know, a lot of people recognized right off the bat
00:23:52.400 that that was probably a lot of conservative people at that concert.
00:23:55.480 Well, and Sharon, thanks so much for the call.
00:23:57.220 That's the reason I brought up that there are other concerts out there.
00:23:59.880 If this guy was trying to, I mean, he waited till the end.
00:24:03.960 Was he just trying to get it done before the concert ended?
00:24:06.520 Ran out of time because he was planning on doing something more significant.
00:24:09.420 What with the fertilizer in his car?
00:24:11.760 Um, but he wanted to get it before that crowd left.
00:24:14.460 Again, this is just speculation.
00:24:17.700 But it would, it would work.
00:24:19.300 It would make sense.
00:24:20.480 In Florida now, Trey, you're on the Glenn Beck program.
00:24:22.740 Thanks for holding.
00:24:24.420 How you doing, boss?
00:24:25.700 Doing well, sir.
00:24:26.700 Uh, well, yeah.
00:24:28.280 I mean, basically I'd like to start off by saying I am a country singer.
00:24:31.480 Um, so I mean, this kind of hits home in the country music community.
00:24:34.720 Um, first, I would like to speculate as to say that, again, piggybacking on what Sharon
00:24:41.800 in Mississippi just said, that this, um, country music is predominantly conservative.
00:24:48.000 Um, so I mean, I'm kind of looking at the shooting that happened with the, uh, what was it?
00:24:52.560 The Republican senators, I believe.
00:24:54.640 Yeah.
00:24:55.160 They were playing ball.
00:24:56.120 Yeah.
00:24:56.940 Right.
00:24:57.260 I mean, to me, the timing of this is kind of, it almost seems like a copycat type of
00:25:03.120 thing.
00:25:03.960 Um, especially since right now we don't really have a modem.
00:25:06.480 We know that he was, or a motive.
00:25:08.040 We know that he was wealthy.
00:25:09.560 So, I mean, that's not really a thing, but I really would speculate as to say that it
00:25:13.840 was more of a political thing.
00:25:15.740 Um, and, uh, so that's my speculation.
00:25:18.980 Also being a country music singer, uh, I actually have a show coming up this Saturday and I wanted
00:25:24.320 to know me and my band are actually planning to donate our check to a, uh, a fund for the
00:25:32.100 victims.
00:25:32.500 And I was wondering if you had any, any, uh, what do you call it?
00:25:37.380 Suggestions on a good, uh, fund to give it to.
00:25:40.940 Um, you can always, uh, a couple of favorite charities we have that's just in general, and
00:25:46.120 I'm not sure specifically what they're doing.
00:25:47.820 Each one is doing for these families.
00:25:49.480 Um, I got to believe Mercury one probably has something up.
00:25:52.220 It's mercuryone.org.
00:25:53.860 Um, probably not Matthew 25, but these are both respected, uh, charities that I know
00:25:59.720 give, uh, almost everything they take in.
00:26:02.200 They have very low administrative costs.
00:26:04.000 Matthew 25 usually does disaster victims and, you know, helps people around the world, but
00:26:08.140 it's always a good charity.
00:26:09.140 And that's m25, uh, m.org.
00:26:12.860 It's Matthew 25 ministries, but tell me when you're, uh, when and where your concert is so
00:26:16.360 we can give you a little plug here.
00:26:18.220 Oh yeah, appreciate it.
00:26:19.360 Uh, we're actually opening up for Craig Campbell, uh, this Saturday night at the ranch in Fort
00:26:23.700 Myers.
00:26:24.220 Okay.
00:26:24.880 Um, it's actually my second time opening up for him.
00:26:27.080 So pretty excited about that.
00:26:28.820 Um, find us on Facebook at Trey Colton.
00:26:32.120 Well, I'll tell you what, uh, we'll, we'll mention it again.
00:26:34.320 That's this is Saturday night in Fort Myers.
00:26:35.900 Uh, my buddy, I guess sidekick Chris Cruz, uh, if you get in contact with him, we'll also
00:26:44.360 give you a little plug in the morning show tomorrow as well.
00:26:46.060 Okay.
00:26:47.320 Hey, I appreciate it, man.
00:26:48.300 Like I said, our, our check is going right to the victims.
00:26:50.700 I mean, I'm going to donate it as soon as we get it.
00:26:52.600 So by the way, before you, uh, if, when you listen to this again, uh, the city set up
00:26:58.760 a GoFundMe page, the city of Las Vegas.
00:27:01.660 Yes.
00:27:01.820 Okay.
00:27:02.080 So that would be a good place.
00:27:03.160 So just, uh, Google the GoFundMe page, make sure that we verified it and verified through
00:27:07.680 a GoFundMe, but it's already a GoFundMe page set up for them.
00:27:11.840 Yes, I'll find it and we'll tweet out a link.
00:27:13.540 All right.
00:27:13.700 I'll tweet it on my page.
00:27:14.600 Trey, thanks so much for listening.
00:27:15.760 Really appreciate it.
00:27:17.220 Um, it's ironic that so many people over the last 24 hours were upset by violence, but
00:27:25.020 their social media posts were violent and I'm not just talking about the Antifa type
00:27:29.840 crowd.
00:27:30.420 Of course they were.
00:27:31.680 These people were just outright good.
00:27:33.900 We got a country music.
00:27:35.400 People died.
00:27:36.200 They were likely conservatives, right-wing Republicans.
00:27:38.960 Glad they died.
00:27:39.780 Oh, more die.
00:27:41.000 This was the attitude from a lot of people, but even some, I guess what we would consider
00:27:46.880 more sane people, albeit celebrities and leftists or progressives, but still talking about
00:27:52.440 hate and being hateful, tweeting hateful things.
00:27:56.200 So many ironic and hypocritical social media posts that they don't even get, which leads
00:28:01.700 me to believe, Chris, that they are brain damaged.
00:28:07.080 Brain damaged.
00:28:08.260 I think they've got something wrong.
00:28:11.100 Now, some people are just more emotional, but some of these people have taken it to a level
00:28:15.980 where they don't even get the irony of being hateful while calling out hate.
00:28:22.640 They don't get the irony of calling out violence and threatening violence in the same social
00:28:26.980 media post.
00:28:27.860 They don't even get it.
00:28:28.960 You've got to be brain damaged.
00:28:30.900 You've got to have something seriously wrong with you if you don't get that.
00:28:34.620 Certainly in the middle of the tragedy is it's still unfolding and you're so outraged at the
00:28:40.380 violence that you want to perpetrate more violence.
00:28:43.080 You're so outraged at the hate and the insensitivity that you are hateful and insensitive.
00:28:48.800 You've got to have something wrong with you.
00:28:51.960 So I've decided maybe we'll help him out.
00:28:56.220 Good.
00:28:56.960 That's good.
00:28:57.780 Have you ever been to therapy, Chris Cruz?
00:29:00.360 Well, I do have those records sealed.
00:29:02.120 I do have PTSD.
00:29:03.880 So, yes, I've been.
00:29:04.940 What do you have that from?
00:29:05.960 The war kind of bomb landed right behind me.
00:29:08.800 Serving in serving your country.
00:29:10.100 OK, well, if you've ever been to therapy, a lot of times they'll tell you that you're
00:29:13.060 talk with about governing your emotions.
00:29:15.020 You talk with a therapist and they'll give you like a little chart of emotions.
00:29:18.580 Oh, I've seen that.
00:29:19.640 You ever seen it?
00:29:20.460 Yeah, with like a little emojis.
00:29:22.220 Yeah, they're like emojis.
00:29:23.040 They're smiley.
00:29:23.560 They'll say, how do I feel today?
00:29:25.280 How do you feel today?
00:29:26.060 And I'm happy, sad.
00:29:27.120 And they do them different, whatever to help you, you know, start becoming closer with
00:29:32.140 your emotions so you can identify them more quickly.
00:29:34.660 Right.
00:29:35.420 So that's what I think we're going to do.
00:29:36.800 We're going to go through a bunch of tweets from some of these celebrities.
00:29:39.180 OK, some of these politicians and we're going to help them identify how they feel.
00:29:44.960 OK, because I don't think they're necessarily being accurate.
00:29:48.060 I don't think they know.
00:29:49.360 I think they're so brain damaged, Chris.
00:29:51.380 They're lashing out.
00:29:53.240 And I, Doc Thompson, we're going to help them get in touch with their emotions by identifying
00:29:57.400 those emotions.
00:29:58.400 OK, we will share those tweets and help those people coming up next on the Glenn Beck program.
00:30:03.420 Glenn Beck.
00:30:22.940 Glenn Beck.
00:30:24.700 Doc Thompson in for Glenn.
00:30:26.120 We're going to go down the list of some of the reaction from celebrities to the attack,
00:30:31.700 the murderous rampage in Las Vegas and try to help them come into contact or understand
00:30:39.300 their emotions a little bit better.
00:30:41.240 Now, a lot of these you're going to think it's just anger, them lashing out.
00:30:45.000 But I think there's something more to it.
00:30:46.940 So I have lists of of adjectives to describe emotions and we'll try to apply them here.
00:30:53.020 So first, Joe Biden, for example, Joe Biden tweets out a couple of things.
00:30:57.960 OK, appalled by the senseless loss of life in Las Vegas.
00:31:01.320 Jill and I hauled all of the those affected and grieving in our hearts.
00:31:06.120 How long do we let gun violence tear families apart?
00:31:09.480 Enough.
00:31:10.360 Congress and the White House should act now to save lives.
00:31:13.240 There's no excuse for inaction.
00:31:16.480 Obviously angry.
00:31:18.060 Very angry.
00:31:18.880 See, I think there's more to it.
00:31:20.240 OK, I think he's also feeling irrelevant.
00:31:23.020 Unimportant.
00:31:26.180 Unemployed.
00:31:27.180 I mean, that's there's I'm just trying to help, Chris.
00:31:32.540 I didn't think this is going to go this way.
00:31:35.260 I thought you're going to actually be helping.
00:31:36.800 I am helping him.
00:31:37.960 You could have felt those things about four years ago.
00:31:41.320 OK, then goes Cal.
00:31:42.820 See, well, no, Cal recognizes Joe is probably, you know, feeling a little lost, like a little
00:31:48.500 irrelevant and he has to lash out.
00:31:50.600 See, I'm helping, Chris.
00:31:51.880 Michael Bloomberg, former mayor, resolve to stop mass shootings in America and back up
00:31:58.480 our words with actions.
00:32:01.100 Feeling very controlling.
00:32:02.840 Very.
00:32:03.300 And also irrelevant.
00:32:04.960 OK, Tom Arnold, for example.
00:32:07.280 Tom Arnold.
00:32:08.040 I thought you were doing celebrities.
00:32:10.420 Oh, that's a good point.
00:32:11.320 Talk about irrelevant.
00:32:13.660 Well, I was doing celebrities.
00:32:15.700 You're right.
00:32:16.180 That's that's any of the guy who got famous for for diddling Roseanne bar.
00:32:21.220 Whoa.
00:32:22.420 Can you say that on TV?
00:32:23.720 Diddling, you know, playing, you know, the flute, the flute.
00:32:27.220 Exactly.
00:32:27.640 Little games.
00:32:28.560 You know, that means board game, right?
00:32:30.600 Yes.
00:32:31.340 In Spanish.
00:32:32.520 Yes.
00:32:33.500 Tom Arnold tweeting.
00:32:34.900 Stephen Paddock is a terrorist.
00:32:37.560 Trump signed a bill allowing mentally ill, eager, mentally ill, easier access to guns.
00:32:44.420 At honor.
00:32:45.120 NRA will sell more guns.
00:32:46.880 Hashtag gun control now.
00:32:50.360 Dogmatic.
00:32:51.500 Power hungry.
00:32:53.240 Maybe.
00:32:54.220 How do you think he's feeling, Chris?
00:32:55.880 I think he's feeling.
00:32:56.880 Triggered.
00:32:57.800 Very triggered.
00:32:58.900 Snowflakey.
00:32:59.780 Snowflake-esque.
00:33:00.920 Yeah.
00:33:01.260 Something like that.
00:33:01.880 Dirt baggy.
00:33:02.580 Sean King tweeting out.
00:33:04.340 Only in America can whiteness prevent the man who conducted the deadliest mass shooting
00:33:10.300 in American history from being called a terrorist.
00:33:14.660 Sean King.
00:33:15.700 Head of BLM.
00:33:16.620 The guy who started or early founder.
00:33:18.280 You mean the white guy?
00:33:19.620 White guy?
00:33:20.260 The guy who is white.
00:33:21.320 Yeah.
00:33:21.480 Partially white.
00:33:22.220 Yeah.
00:33:22.280 But he identifies as black man.
00:33:23.600 He's black.
00:33:23.960 Right.
00:33:24.480 He's part black.
00:33:25.560 He's more black than Rachel Dolezal.
00:33:29.520 So I think today he's feeling more black.
00:33:33.060 Because.
00:33:34.020 The only whiteness.
00:33:35.200 Yeah.
00:33:35.760 Clearly he's not identifying with his white staff today.
00:33:38.840 Has he disowned his white side because he is white?
00:33:41.260 Maybe.
00:33:42.000 Could be.
00:33:42.880 Hmm.
00:33:44.220 Andy Cohen.
00:33:46.400 Again.
00:33:47.060 I don't know who that is either.
00:33:48.160 Yeah.
00:33:48.400 But he's a verified account and he's one of these Hollywood types.
00:33:51.640 Here's what he tweeted.
00:33:52.840 Very simple.
00:33:53.880 Okay.
00:33:54.160 And I'm going to help you get into touch.
00:33:55.560 Okay.
00:33:56.100 Um.
00:33:56.960 How about we ban machine guns?
00:34:00.700 How about that, Chris?
00:34:01.900 How about we ban machine guns?
00:34:03.600 Oh, they're already banned.
00:34:04.620 I'm sorry.
00:34:05.060 What's that?
00:34:05.400 Thank you, Cal.
00:34:06.060 They're already banned.
00:34:07.520 Oh, that, uh, 1930 law.
00:34:11.460 The law that's almost a hundred years old.
00:34:15.100 Hmm.
00:34:15.620 Hmm.
00:34:16.140 Okay.
00:34:16.400 So I'm guessing he's feeling, uh, stupid.
00:34:19.580 I'm just saying, you know, ignorant, embarrassed.
00:34:23.660 If he's not, he should be.
00:34:25.520 It's, uh, it's been about a hundred years since they've been banned.
00:34:28.920 Just so you know, meaningless, something like that.
00:34:31.820 Yeah.
00:34:32.220 He should be.
00:34:33.360 Andy, you should be.
00:34:34.100 Now he followed these up when other people were like, uh, also 1980 law.
00:34:38.860 Oh, he tried to clean it up.
00:34:41.060 He, no, that's what other people like trying to tell him.
00:34:42.960 1930 law, 1980s law.
00:34:44.180 And he was like, yeah, um, I'm just saying that's my reaction when I hear about that,
00:34:51.160 that we should ban them.
00:34:52.580 So idiotic.
00:34:53.740 Yes.
00:34:54.460 Uh, spin, like a spin master, something like this loser.
00:34:59.380 That would work as well.
00:35:00.420 Dummy.
00:35:00.700 Again, just trying to help these people understand if you want solutions, we've got solutions
00:35:05.500 for you coming up as well from Vincente Fox of Mexico.
00:35:09.600 Glenn Beck, love, courage, true Glenn Beck, I'm giving the benefit of the doubt to my
00:35:25.560 fellow Americans who are entertainers and celebrities.
00:35:28.600 And because of that over emotional and realize they probably need a little bit of help based
00:35:34.300 on their social media comments and also just interviews that they gave about the murder
00:35:40.080 that happened Sunday night in Las Vegas.
00:35:42.400 Now 59 people dead, 527 injured at the hands of Steven Paddock.
00:35:47.460 They seem to need a little bit of help getting to the heart of what they're really feeling.
00:35:54.000 So we're going through some of their comments and trying to help them out, get to the center
00:35:59.860 of who they really are and what they're feeling.
00:36:01.760 And we have a bunch more to get to, two in a row that I think are likely feeling the
00:36:07.780 same thing.
00:36:09.520 Chloe Kardashian.
00:36:11.440 Which one is that one?
00:36:12.600 Who cares?
00:36:13.620 Chloe tweeted, this is heartbreaking to learn about.
00:36:18.840 Things have got to change.
00:36:21.260 And then Paris Jackson, Michael Jackson's daughter.
00:36:25.060 Okay.
00:36:25.580 Okay.
00:36:25.860 Tweeting, heart goes out to everyone affected by the shooting in Vegas.
00:36:30.080 Friends and family, strangers included, breaks my heart to see earth like this.
00:36:37.000 Hmm.
00:36:38.300 So I'm thinking they're kind of in the same unneeded.
00:36:44.800 Okay.
00:36:45.380 Wait, that's what I'm feeling about them.
00:36:47.020 That they're unneeded.
00:36:48.200 Okay.
00:36:48.980 Everybody on earth.
00:36:50.740 Is he a little cray?
00:36:52.320 Brainless.
00:36:53.080 I'm a brainless.
00:36:54.180 Brainless.
00:36:54.680 I like that.
00:36:55.200 That's good.
00:36:55.980 Nancy Pelosi tweeting at Speaker Ryan.
00:36:59.480 Ryan.
00:37:00.080 Oh, yeah.
00:37:01.420 She's tweeting at Paul Ryan at Speaker Ryan.
00:37:04.760 It's time for action.
00:37:06.280 Congress must create a select committee on gun violence.
00:37:10.780 I think she's feeling futile and pointless.
00:37:14.700 Dopey.
00:37:15.780 Dopey.
00:37:16.920 Cause I would think that anybody that's been in loss or been in Las Vegas, been in DC more
00:37:23.920 than a week as an elected servant would recognize that, um, select committees, blue ribbon commissions
00:37:30.480 and panels are merely window dressing.
00:37:35.200 They work, right?
00:37:36.380 No.
00:37:36.740 This is what you do when you want to seem like you're doing something, but you're not actually
00:37:40.960 doing something.
00:37:42.240 What you do is you go, I have decided we are going to get to the bottom of this and I am
00:37:47.100 appointing a blue ribbon commission.
00:37:49.620 Ooh.
00:37:50.420 Ooh.
00:37:50.760 It's not just a commission or a committee.
00:37:53.680 It's a blue ribbon one.
00:37:55.440 Whatever that means.
00:37:56.900 Yeah.
00:37:57.340 So yeah, she wants a select committee on gun violence, but by the way, we've never discussed
00:38:03.080 gun violence in Congress.
00:38:04.240 Never happened.
00:38:05.240 Are you sure?
00:38:06.640 Apparently we've never done it.
00:38:07.960 Never had a select committee on gun violence ever.
00:38:10.240 It's never happened in Vegas in DC history.
00:38:12.600 Now there was a vice president of CBS who within hours of this tragic event, Sunday night posted
00:38:23.740 on Facebook, if they wouldn't do anything when children were murdered, I have no hope that
00:38:29.740 repubs will ever do the right thing.
00:38:33.180 I'm actually not even sympathetic because country music fans are our Republican gun toters.
00:38:39.580 Hmm.
00:38:40.060 So she's not sympathetic to the people that died.
00:38:44.340 No.
00:38:44.740 I don't think she needs a clarification on this one.
00:38:46.880 I think she knows exactly how she feels.
00:38:48.940 Yeah.
00:38:49.760 Unsympathetic.
00:38:50.400 Very.
00:38:51.120 And heinous.
00:38:53.060 Now, shockingly, CBS, which is run by progressives primarily, actually fired this woman.
00:39:01.300 Good for you, CBS.
00:39:03.200 I mean, I wouldn't call her to be fired, but is this who you want representing your company?
00:39:07.420 Yeah.
00:39:07.620 Someone who has no sympathy for people who were murdered.
00:39:12.220 Especially with that title, vice president.
00:39:14.400 She was a vice president of their company.
00:39:17.020 CBX, and again, they did this within hours.
00:39:19.880 I mean, it was done.
00:39:21.480 CBS spokesperson said she violated the standards of our company and is no longer an employee.
00:39:25.960 Her views, as expressed on social media, are deeply unacceptable to all of us at CBS.
00:39:31.940 Our hearts go out to the victims and their families.
00:39:35.840 You remember those days?
00:39:36.940 Hang on.
00:39:37.540 I'm going to give credit where it's due.
00:39:39.140 CBS, you did good.
00:39:41.880 Nicely done.
00:39:42.880 Remember those days when a tragedy happened and all we did was slink arms and say, you know, doc, I'm going to get through this.
00:39:50.180 Yep.
00:39:50.360 It's going to be okay.
00:39:51.880 It's going to be all right.
00:39:52.520 All you're going to do, you know, you just got to just push forward.
00:39:55.940 We'll get through it.
00:39:56.480 Keep on.
00:39:56.840 Together.
00:39:57.320 Together, we're going to fight against this darkness.
00:39:59.640 Oh, those are long gone.
00:40:00.740 What happened to that?
00:40:01.220 Those are long gone.
00:40:02.880 Joy Reid from MSNBC.
00:40:04.900 Oh, I celebrate her title.
00:40:06.780 Several, several tweets.
00:40:08.740 She had a whole catalog of it.
00:40:10.100 Oh, she did?
00:40:10.740 Yeah.
00:40:10.960 She tweeted out, what we face in America, a handful of greedy libertarian billionaires in full control of the party in power determined to privatize all.
00:40:25.180 That's the first one.
00:40:26.680 Oh, okay.
00:40:27.080 Joy, you should be feeling misguided, misinformed because greedy libertarian billionaires are not in charge of the Republican Party.
00:40:41.280 I wish greedy libertarian billionaires were in charge of the party.
00:40:47.320 I pray for the day that greedy libertarian billionaires would be in charge of the party.
00:40:52.600 Who's in charge of the party are a bunch of progressives.
00:40:58.180 A bunch of cronies.
00:41:00.880 Not capitalists, not free market people, but cronies.
00:41:04.380 I wish they were.
00:41:06.960 Like, wow.
00:41:08.140 She went on to explain the Kochs, the Merkers, the Bradley Foundation, and on and on.
00:41:15.540 They want to repeal the entire 20th century social infrastructure, privatize all, and take the spoils, not unlike what the oligarchs did in Russia.
00:41:26.680 They see spectacular wealth at the end of the Republican rainbow.
00:41:32.360 Wait, what?
00:41:33.820 Republican rainbow?
00:41:35.020 I don't know.
00:41:36.000 What does that mean?
00:41:37.040 I don't know, Joy.
00:41:38.540 I wish you were right.
00:41:41.040 I wish you would talk to the party.
00:41:43.100 I now sign on to the Joy Reid platform.
00:41:47.740 Here's the thing.
00:41:49.260 Yes, they do want to privatize all or most libertarians.
00:41:53.980 I do as well.
00:41:55.860 Here's the thing, though.
00:41:56.760 If the party is in power, the party she's talking about is in power, as it is, clear majority in the House, slight majority in the Senate and the White House, and they're in charge of this, and they have billions, and they're pulling the strings.
00:42:11.640 How come they haven't at least repealed Obamacare?
00:42:18.600 Wouldn't that be privatizing?
00:42:21.800 Seriously?
00:42:22.440 What are you talking about?
00:42:26.440 She works at MSNBC, and she thinks libertarian billionaires are running the party.
00:42:31.720 What the hell is the matter with her?
00:42:33.920 All right.
00:42:36.500 A couple more to get to here.
00:42:41.960 Nelba Green.
00:42:43.880 Oh, again, another one.
00:42:45.380 Well, she's actually, you wouldn't know the name, and she's not a celebrity, but she's noteworthy in that she is, and I feel horrible for her, a Newtown mother.
00:42:56.880 Oh, okay.
00:42:57.360 She lost her child at Newtown.
00:43:01.240 Her child was murdered.
00:43:03.220 Very sad.
00:43:04.400 But she had some odd thoughts, and I'm not sure she really knows what she's feeling.
00:43:10.600 She went on a tirade, and this is what she said.
00:43:13.960 Every day I am stunned by the level of trauma, direct or vicarious, Congress is willing to make us suffer through.
00:43:21.340 So, their lack of courage and or ability to make meaningful action on issues that matter most, healthcare, violence, climate, et cetera, is outrageous.
00:43:34.960 She's talking about the murders in Las Vegas.
00:43:40.480 Meaningful action on the issues that matter most, healthcare, violence, climate, is outrageous.
00:43:47.580 She's talking about the murders in Vegas.
00:43:49.560 I'm trying to connect the dots, that's why I'm silent.
00:43:51.360 Yeah, it's a little bit of a stretch there.
00:43:52.340 Yeah, I'm trying to connect the dots.
00:43:52.880 The only dots are Congress doesn't get anything done.
00:43:54.920 But okay, okay.
00:43:56.020 As a mom who had to bury a child, I care less about perp color.
00:44:01.560 Okay.
00:44:02.680 Good.
00:44:03.140 I don't care about the perp's color.
00:44:04.520 I want to know their motivation.
00:44:05.580 It's not about colors.
00:44:06.640 It's about why they did it.
00:44:07.640 Right.
00:44:08.300 So, as a mom who had to bury a child, I care less about perp color.
00:44:12.760 But how come we never talk about angry white men with guns?
00:44:17.500 Okay.
00:44:18.380 So, you know what that sounds like?
00:44:19.940 That she cares about color.
00:44:20.560 About the perp's color.
00:44:22.060 That's what she said.
00:44:23.780 You absolutely care about the perp's color.
00:44:27.040 You hear about angry white men all the time.
00:44:30.800 There's one right in front of me right now.
00:44:32.380 White.
00:44:32.660 Okay, I am white and I'm kind of angry right at this second or whatever.
00:44:36.360 So, she seems a little off on this.
00:44:38.880 Yeah, and I can see her point of view.
00:44:41.220 You know, this is kind of raw emotions.
00:44:42.780 You know, her child was killed in some kind of...
00:44:45.240 And I get that.
00:44:45.760 And I get that.
00:44:46.340 But when you're trying to combine climate change and the other thing that she said to a shooting that happened in Las Vegas...
00:44:53.820 And angry white men.
00:44:55.360 You lose a little bit of credibility.
00:44:57.080 You lose a lot.
00:44:57.960 And, you know, this is the standard, hey, I don't want to be racist, but let me say something racist now.
00:45:05.280 You know, I don't...
00:45:06.180 Chris, I don't want to say you're overweight.
00:45:08.520 But let me tell you how overweight you are.
00:45:13.040 Right?
00:45:13.460 That's what they...
00:45:14.000 The shortened version of this is I was just saying.
00:45:17.480 Yeah.
00:45:17.860 Wow, are you fat?
00:45:18.740 What?
00:45:19.080 No, I was just saying.
00:45:20.080 Yeah.
00:45:20.560 Oh, you were just saying.
00:45:21.540 Yeah, I was just saying.
00:45:22.380 Oh, well, that's okay.
00:45:23.520 Sure.
00:45:24.700 How is that?
00:45:25.820 That's the southern version of this is bless your heart.
00:45:28.780 Exactly.
00:45:29.320 And from her perspective, she should be actually...
00:45:32.200 She probably is the closest one to come to feeling what other families are feeling right now.
00:45:36.700 And yet she still went to climate change and white perp?
00:45:38.760 She should be out there saying, you know what?
00:45:40.260 You know, Doc, I know you lost your loved one.
00:45:41.840 Let me help.
00:45:42.420 Let me help.
00:45:42.800 This is what I did for coping.
00:45:44.960 I don't be like, wow, good job.
00:45:47.440 But climate change and whatever the other thing she said...
00:45:49.820 I even understand anger and frustration at this.
00:45:52.540 Yes.
00:45:52.600 But to bring up climate change and white perp, she went on to say, I will also say this.
00:45:56.940 I lost Anna in Newtown, which means even though we aren't white, I had the sympathy of the world.
00:46:07.660 I thought she didn't care about color.
00:46:10.580 Even though I lost Anna at Newtown, I can't imagine as a parent losing a child and then ever starting it.
00:46:17.200 It would always follow with, I lost a child and something...
00:46:23.080 We had the sympathy of the world and we're not white?
00:46:26.700 Yeah.
00:46:26.940 Then she said, guess what, folks?
00:46:29.200 Gun violence and grief hurt in every zip code, in every color.
00:46:34.240 Grieving mothers need your help.
00:46:36.380 Okay.
00:46:37.180 What about grieving fathers?
00:46:40.060 Uncles.
00:46:40.540 Uncles.
00:46:41.100 Grandparents.
00:46:42.260 Siblings.
00:46:43.100 Brothers.
00:46:43.620 Neighbors.
00:46:44.320 Friends.
00:46:44.780 Close friends.
00:46:45.420 Something like this.
00:46:46.440 Only grieving mothers need your help.
00:46:48.060 Again, pushing on something about females.
00:46:50.780 And this is the over-emotional part I'm talking about.
00:46:53.460 Okay.
00:46:53.680 She is understandably so upset having lost a child.
00:46:59.040 I don't think it's something you ever get over.
00:47:00.680 No.
00:47:01.920 You're a father.
00:47:02.860 I am.
00:47:03.420 I'm a father.
00:47:04.280 Cal, you're a father.
00:47:05.500 I can't imagine ever getting over this.
00:47:08.160 So, I understand.
00:47:11.040 But don't dismiss the fact that this is all coming from a very self-focused point of view.
00:47:17.600 Yes.
00:47:17.720 Not that there's anything wrong with it.
00:47:18.820 You lost a child.
00:47:19.980 But let's call it like it is.
00:47:21.460 Let's be truthful.
00:47:22.120 She is lashing out because of her feelings.
00:47:26.560 And as I started this whole thing, these are over-emotional people.
00:47:30.860 These are not people that are going to help us charter a way forward to come up with good solutions, good policies and laws for America.
00:47:39.740 These are people that are lashing out because they cannot control their emotion.
00:47:43.400 Another example of that with one of our late-night talk show hosts and also a former president of Mexico coming up next on the Glenn Beck Program.
00:47:54.880 Glenn Beck.
00:48:01.840 Glenn Beck.
00:48:04.340 Doc Thompson, Chris Cruz, and Cal in for Glenn today.
00:48:07.160 Thanks so much for joining us.
00:48:08.160 We'll get some more calls.
00:48:08.920 888-727-BECK.
00:48:10.220 We're just looking for some speculation earlier about the motivation of the Las Vegas murderer.
00:48:16.520 I mean, yeah, he's a shooter, but he's also a murderer.
00:48:18.460 Maybe that's more accurate.
00:48:19.620 And also tweets coming in with the hashtag What I Learned Today.
00:48:21.820 If you would, please follow me on Twitter.
00:48:23.620 It's hashtag What I Learned Today.
00:48:25.280 And don't forget on Facebook, you can post comments, but you can also check out the video, the Fast Facts video on the Second Amendment at facebook.com slash Doc Thompson show.
00:48:36.600 Tweets now.
00:48:37.060 You got Patrick tweeting out What I Learned Today and Doc.
00:48:39.940 It sounds like you're advocating that people should only own one gun.
00:48:44.480 Why does the number he owned matter?
00:48:47.160 Oh, okay.
00:48:48.280 Yes.
00:48:48.740 If I led you to believe that, then I did not do my...
00:48:53.520 You failed.
00:48:54.040 I failed.
00:48:54.540 You failed the audience.
00:48:55.420 I did fail you there.
00:48:56.280 I'll make sure Glenn Beck gets his audience.
00:48:57.520 Yes.
00:48:58.020 The fact that he had 23 guns in the room is only curious to me as to what his motives were.
00:49:05.460 I just want to know what his motive...
00:49:07.780 I'm ultimately trying to figure out his motives.
00:49:09.820 So why would you have 23 guns?
00:49:11.700 What were you going to do with them?
00:49:13.160 Obviously, he had nefarious intentions in mind.
00:49:16.820 The fact that he murdered 59 people and shot 527 others, injuring them.
00:49:22.160 So why would you have 23 other guns?
00:49:24.100 What else was he going to do?
00:49:26.140 And he had 18 guns at his home.
00:49:27.720 I don't care if he has 1,000 guns.
00:49:30.360 Because I honestly, given no second amendment or to the other extreme, if I have to take
00:49:37.180 one or the other, you should be able to own a nuclear device.
00:49:40.820 Yeah.
00:49:41.880 You should be able to own 17.
00:49:43.260 That's how extreme I am about personal freedom.
00:49:46.740 So number of guns, I have failed you if I led you to believe I am concerned about the number
00:49:51.320 he had or why that was an issue in the room.
00:49:54.140 I only use that as a question about his motives and what they were.
00:49:59.600 That's it.
00:50:00.540 You also have Kristen tweeting out what I learned today.
00:50:03.720 I guess Chris Cruz is the new Jeffy.
00:50:06.240 Hashtag fat.
00:50:07.880 He's not nearly as honorable as Jeffy and has many more questionable things in his past
00:50:13.080 than Jeffy.
00:50:14.020 Let's go to Bill in South Carolina now.
00:50:15.940 Bill, welcome to the Glenn Beck program.
00:50:17.540 You're on the air.
00:50:19.080 Hey, Doc.
00:50:19.800 God bless you.
00:50:20.420 And thank you so much for posting that second amendment.
00:50:23.600 Thank you, sir.
00:50:24.540 I'm glad you enjoyed it.
00:50:26.240 Hey, well, as a son of the American Revolution, a former sergeant of Marines,
00:50:30.020 I and my family have thought to first create those rights and then keep them ever since.
00:50:34.820 Thank you, sir.
00:50:35.360 We appreciate it.
00:50:36.480 You're welcome.
00:50:37.300 I just speculation.
00:50:38.540 I'm so glad you're doing that.
00:50:39.560 My first impulse was this wife initially, I guess, her girlfriend who left the country.
00:50:45.820 And that I said to my friend yesterday, I bet she cleaned him out.
00:50:49.060 He went downtown to gamble it back with what little he had left.
00:50:52.380 He brought 23 of his best weapons, probably valued anywhere from $2,000 to $10,000,
00:50:56.900 especially if they were automatics, to sell.
00:50:59.580 That would be like $100,000 worth of weapons.
00:51:02.140 And when the gambling failed and the sale fell through,
00:51:04.820 he decided to leave a mark before he committed suicide.
00:51:08.320 That's my take on it.
00:51:09.580 Bill, thank you so much for the call.
00:51:12.820 Yeah.
00:51:14.500 Money loss could be a trigger in this.
00:51:17.560 It could be.
00:51:18.760 Cal, as a married man, would it shock you to find out that there was a woman involved or to blame?
00:51:23.860 A trigger.
00:51:24.780 A woman to drive a man to go crazy?
00:51:27.860 Yeah.
00:51:28.360 Would that shock you as a married man?
00:51:30.020 It wouldn't shock me, no.
00:51:30.460 It would not be shocked.
00:51:31.380 Don't say anything else.
00:51:32.400 Don't say anything else.
00:51:33.280 In Georgia now, we've got Jason.
00:51:35.260 You're on the Glenn Beck program.
00:51:36.320 Hey, guys.
00:51:38.560 Thanks for having me on.
00:51:39.760 Thank you, sir.
00:51:40.220 Thanks for having me on.
00:51:41.740 No, you know, people always look for the most grandiose type of excuse.
00:51:47.140 You know, was it political, driven, religious, this or that?
00:51:50.520 You know, sometimes people just get a bad thought and they obsess over it.
00:51:55.200 And, you know, everybody has a little bit of a dark side.
00:51:57.940 And this guy just let his dark side take over.
00:51:59.840 I think it's just as simple as he wanted to do it.
00:52:03.540 He had the means.
00:52:04.500 He had the opportunity and, you know, I don't think the crowd.
00:52:08.900 I've heard people say that, well, you know, he was targeting conservatives.
00:52:12.420 I think that was just coincidental.
00:52:14.560 He had a large group of people that he wanted to terrorize, murder, mow down.
00:52:20.200 And that's all.
00:52:21.440 That's all there was to it.
00:52:22.660 You know, Jason, you might be right.
00:52:24.180 There's a lot of people do this as a twisted form of fame, too.
00:52:28.300 That could play into it.
00:52:29.440 Well, you know, there could be the fame thing.
00:52:32.260 But I think that if he was narcissistic like that, he would have been taken alive or he would have left some kind of message.
00:52:38.340 He could have posted it live on Facebook or something like that.
00:52:41.820 That that shooter from a couple of years ago who shot up the movie theater, he was taking it alive.
00:52:46.560 He wanted to be.
00:52:47.720 Yeah.
00:52:48.160 He wanted to be some supervillain and get his 15 minutes of fame.
00:52:51.980 I don't think that's where this guy was.
00:52:53.720 I think he just he just simply just snapped.
00:52:56.760 He's decided one day, you know, I'm going to kill as many people as I possibly can.
00:53:00.780 And that's what he set out to do.
00:53:02.200 And that's what he did.
00:53:03.160 Jason, thanks for the call.
00:53:04.140 You could be right about the the narcissism.
00:53:06.360 If you were narcissistic in this, wouldn't you want to bask in the aftermath of what you've done, what you've created?
00:53:16.660 I'm serious.
00:53:18.080 I mean, if you were driven to do something this horrible because you got some sort of thrill, he missed out on the thrill part from that twisted perspective.
00:53:27.400 Think about it.
00:53:28.140 Yeah.
00:53:28.300 Look at what the media was yesterday.
00:53:30.760 Fifty nine people, the carnage on the in the streets of Vegas, the stories like that.
00:53:36.620 Because, you know, he had the TV on.
00:53:38.140 He had to have the TV on to see what was happening.
00:53:41.040 But as this rolled out.
00:53:43.180 By the time he killed himself, he had he had no idea how many he'd killed.
00:53:47.980 True.
00:53:48.920 None.
00:53:49.660 He sprayed bullets in there.
00:53:51.460 And by the time we got on the air yesterday morning, when we when this first was breaking just a couple of hours old,
00:53:57.500 there was only two reported dead a few minutes after we were on the air.
00:54:01.640 We found out it was up to 20 at that point.
00:54:03.680 And it just kept growing throughout the day.
00:54:06.280 More on this and also your calls coming up.
00:54:08.480 Triple eight, seven to seven back.
00:54:09.960 Don't forget to tweet at the program and follow at Doc Thompson show.
00:54:12.760 Use the hashtag.
00:54:13.760 What I learned today.
00:54:14.500 It's Doc Thompson from the morning blaze in for Glenn Beck today.
00:54:27.500 Glenn Beck.
00:54:39.540 This is the Glenn Beck program.
00:54:42.240 Doc Thompson in for Glenn Beck.
00:54:43.980 And we're all about solutions.
00:54:46.320 Not just bitching about problems.
00:54:48.120 We're offering you solutions.
00:54:49.560 And you know who else is offering you solutions?
00:54:52.140 Vicente Fox, the former president of Mexico.
00:54:55.360 Oh.
00:54:55.580 Solutions.
00:54:56.900 Good, good, good.
00:54:57.860 While we were running around yesterday upset at what would transpired in Las Vegas now with
00:55:03.020 59 people dead, 527 injured, Vicente Fox of Mexico took to Twitter.
00:55:09.440 Good.
00:55:09.920 To help America.
00:55:11.340 Good.
00:55:11.900 Yes.
00:55:12.740 And he offered this tweet.
00:55:15.040 Hashtag gun control is a topic that must be dealt with ASAP.
00:55:20.160 Okay.
00:55:20.680 American people must not be looking over their shoulder for their countrymen.
00:55:25.560 Okay.
00:55:26.080 Excellent.
00:55:26.720 Excellent job.
00:55:28.020 Vicente Fox of Mexico offering us help with our country.
00:55:35.040 That's not mistaken.
00:55:36.480 Yeah.
00:55:37.380 Mexico has some violence.
00:55:39.400 I'm sorry.
00:55:39.760 What's that?
00:55:40.120 Problems.
00:55:40.880 They have what?
00:55:41.940 Um, cartels.
00:55:44.540 Mexico?
00:55:45.620 Federales.
00:55:47.160 Really?
00:55:47.680 Isn't it?
00:55:49.120 I mean, last time, I remember reading, they, uh, don't they decapitate people?
00:55:54.640 Okay.
00:55:55.360 The cartels.
00:55:56.120 Sure.
00:55:56.820 Sure.
00:55:57.500 It's a violent place.
00:55:58.860 Hanging them from bridges.
00:55:59.020 It's, it's, it's been rated recently the second deadliest country in the world, worse than
00:56:04.760 Afghanistan and Yemen, but it's not bad when the Afghanis are like, at least we're not
00:56:09.620 Mexico.
00:56:11.380 It's horrible here, but damn, we're not Mexico.
00:56:14.840 Have you seen that place?
00:56:16.460 And I've been to Afghanistan.
00:56:18.380 So you've been to Afghanistan, Afghanistan, not to the Mexico.
00:56:23.120 And I will never, never go there though.
00:56:24.720 That's not good.
00:56:25.520 But I'll take my, you know, my, my Afghani trip.
00:56:28.600 So a guy who used to run a country that has been rated the second deadliest in the world.
00:56:34.120 So does he think America is number one?
00:56:37.440 Probably.
00:56:38.080 It's the first deadliest.
00:56:38.920 Is that what he's thinking?
00:56:41.120 Okay.
00:56:41.880 So the citizens of Mexico are willing to risk their life walking across the desert with
00:56:49.600 no water to come to this country, but he thinks this country's worse.
00:56:57.380 Kind of perspective on that.
00:57:00.000 That seems a little off.
00:57:03.660 We need to be more like Mexico.
00:57:05.440 In other words, according to Vicente Fox.
00:57:08.160 What a way you need to be like us, man.
00:57:10.840 You need to be.
00:57:11.340 Yeah.
00:57:11.640 We need to be more like Mexico because that's worked so far so well for Mexico.
00:57:16.420 It's worked out pretty well for Mexico being like Mexico.
00:57:20.000 Okay.
00:57:21.080 See, Mexican citizens actually have the right to own guns.
00:57:25.080 I didn't know that.
00:57:26.020 They absolutely do.
00:57:27.200 That's good for that.
00:57:27.880 However, the state has put so many additional restrictions on them that nobody legally owns
00:57:33.460 guns.
00:57:33.840 Very few people do.
00:57:35.420 The price, the permits you have to get, the rules and restrictions.
00:57:39.840 So what they do is they go, no, no, you can, you can own guns.
00:57:42.840 Sure.
00:57:43.100 As long as you meet all of these criteria.
00:57:44.660 The only people that have guns are the criminals.
00:57:47.560 That's it.
00:57:48.680 And the federales.
00:57:49.700 And the federales who are also criminals.
00:57:51.740 Criminals.
00:57:52.040 Yeah.
00:57:52.140 I'm being redundant there.
00:57:53.620 Right.
00:57:55.640 Isn't this really what they keep telling us about the second amendment here?
00:57:59.100 You hear the people like Nancy Pelosi and the Chuck Schumers and the Tim Kaines and
00:58:03.120 people like that come out and they go, no, I absolutely support the second amendment.
00:58:07.080 Absolutely.
00:58:07.800 We just need common sense gun laws.
00:58:10.320 I absolutely.
00:58:11.080 I'm not trying to take guns away.
00:58:12.280 It's common sense gun laws, much like the ones they have in Mexico.
00:58:18.380 Vincente Fox.
00:58:19.460 Vincente Fox is advocating gun control for America.
00:58:24.540 How is that work for Mexico?
00:58:26.900 The second deadliest country in the world, according to a recent survey and lots of
00:58:31.600 those people murdered with guns.
00:58:34.200 I think that right there, just stop and focus on that for a second.
00:58:38.840 Mexico is more deadly than Afghanistan.
00:58:41.900 Yes.
00:58:42.220 Where the Taliban is.
00:58:43.440 Yes.
00:58:43.940 And Iraq.
00:58:44.980 Yes.
00:58:45.320 Where ISIS is.
00:58:46.280 Uh-huh.
00:58:47.140 Mexico is more deadly than that.
00:58:48.540 Right.
00:58:49.220 But he says we should take care of our country.
00:58:51.200 Yes.
00:58:51.900 Although, wait, wait, wait, wait a minute.
00:58:53.180 Wait a minute.
00:58:55.180 He said the American people must not be looking over their shoulder for their countrymen.
00:59:00.440 That's the reason he's advocating gun control.
00:59:03.760 Maybe he thinks we should be looking over our shoulder for somebody other than countrymen.
00:59:09.580 And with gun control, who would that be?
00:59:12.220 The government.
00:59:14.700 Ah, Vincente, I'm going to take back some of the things I've said about you.
00:59:17.800 Now I understand.
00:59:18.960 You just want gun control for the people of America, not the government.
00:59:24.000 So we would just look over our shoulder for the government like you do in Mexico.
00:59:29.120 Although, to be fair, they look over their shoulder for countrymen and government in Mexico.
00:59:33.360 So, it's really interesting to see the former president of Mexico, the one that has a love interest for our president.
00:59:43.480 Oh, he's got Trump derangement syndrome.
00:59:46.740 Get his advice.
00:59:48.520 You know, I'll be okay if it was like a successful president saying, hey, this is what I did for my country.
00:59:53.840 And I was able to, you know, bring down crime.
00:59:56.900 Look how great we are.
00:59:57.680 Look how great.
00:59:58.220 But this is the guy that has cartel people running around, chopping people's head off.
01:00:05.040 Right.
01:00:05.440 And putting it on the stick.
01:00:06.640 The arrogance.
01:00:07.820 The arrogance to tell any other country how it's done.
01:00:11.680 I'm like, okay, not even ISIS.
01:00:13.960 ISIS is like, whoa.
01:00:16.340 What is going on here?
01:00:18.300 Right.
01:00:18.980 ISIS is more consistent.
01:00:20.480 They're more successful.
01:00:22.580 They're more successful at running their group of people.
01:00:26.040 Yeah.
01:00:26.180 Think about this.
01:00:26.860 Vicente Fox couldn't even clean up the government of Mexico.
01:00:31.600 Forget about all other gun violence on the street.
01:00:34.460 He couldn't even clean up the federales and the various state police organizations from committing crimes.
01:00:42.040 Which, by the way, is part of his government.
01:00:43.940 So that's like saying, hey, you know, these people work for me.
01:00:48.480 I need you guys to control your act.
01:00:50.320 No, seriously.
01:00:50.960 I mean it, guys.
01:00:52.200 I need you to control your act.
01:00:53.380 This is like you owning a restaurant with horrible food and going to another restaurant and going, okay, this food sucks.
01:00:58.840 Let me, a food that is actually pretty good.
01:01:01.300 And saying, let me tell you how it's done.
01:01:04.100 I've done this before.
01:01:05.140 I've done this.
01:01:05.660 You know, I own a restaurant.
01:01:07.480 My food is horrible.
01:01:08.380 But let me tell you how it's done.
01:01:09.780 So is it because of the title, Presidente, that he thinks that he is all wise and...
01:01:15.780 Oh, he's out of his gourd, of course.
01:01:17.480 And I see this all the time from different countries.
01:01:20.040 People love to tell America how to do things.
01:01:22.460 I see this especially with gun control.
01:01:24.120 Oh, all the crazy people out of the UK.
01:01:27.280 Just go on Twitter and social media sites.
01:01:29.560 You'll see all kinds of people in the UK going, I can't believe America, dot, dot.
01:01:33.260 Here's how you have to do it.
01:01:34.480 And they cite a bunch of gun laws in the UK, how successful they've been at bringing down gun crime.
01:01:40.220 But they never talk about the increase in knife crime.
01:01:43.700 They love to talk about that in Australia, too.
01:01:46.420 We banned guns after there was a mass attack years ago.
01:01:49.060 And look, there's no gun crime, which, by the way, isn't accurate.
01:01:52.360 It's the way the statistics are kept.
01:01:54.340 But they also don't tell you about the increase in knife crime.
01:01:57.980 They don't bring that up at all.
01:01:59.580 Didn't you say earlier today that there's a knife buyback program?
01:02:04.920 In the UK, and you can look it up yourself.
01:02:07.520 Look up knife buyback, knife drop boxes.
01:02:09.740 And Cal brought the website, too.
01:02:11.360 Yeah, there's all kinds of sources.
01:02:13.280 In the UK, they have such a knife and stabbing problem
01:02:16.580 that they have boxes set up in areas like around London and bigger cities
01:02:21.380 that are like, think of like mailboxes that we used to have.
01:02:26.780 The blue ones.
01:02:27.480 It's serenityourknife.co.uk.
01:02:30.480 We'll tweet out a link to it, too.
01:02:32.520 They're like our old blue mailboxes in your community at the end of your street.
01:02:36.440 And, you know, you just put mail in and it's kind of secure.
01:02:38.840 They're like that.
01:02:40.020 They have a little door and you can just drop your knife in.
01:02:43.880 Because they have knife crimes.
01:02:45.460 It's like a gun buyback program.
01:02:47.840 To get money or do you just drop it there?
01:02:49.460 No, to get knives off the street because those inanimate objects are killing people.
01:02:54.100 This is the craziness.
01:02:55.560 And those knuckleheads don't go, hmm, maybe it's not the object.
01:03:00.560 Maybe it's the desire.
01:03:02.020 Maybe it's the motivation to kill people.
01:03:04.580 They don't even get that.
01:03:07.200 All right, tweets coming in.
01:03:08.980 Hashtag what I learned today.
01:03:11.800 Ah, Z tweeting.
01:03:13.000 If we were more like Mexico, maybe the illegals would be crossing back across the border.
01:03:17.840 Huh.
01:03:19.080 Yeah, I think you're right.
01:03:20.320 You got Martha tweeting out what I learned today.
01:03:23.300 Sounds like Vicente has a good reason to pay for that wall now.
01:03:30.680 That's a good one.
01:03:33.880 Vicente, build the wall.
01:03:36.340 Keep the guns from coming to Mexico.
01:03:38.940 I will pay that wall now.
01:03:41.200 Here's a check.
01:03:42.040 You know what he doesn't realize?
01:03:43.100 Those guns are never going to Mexico now that Obama's not in office.
01:03:47.000 Oh, that's a good one.
01:03:48.920 That's right.
01:03:49.320 We don't.
01:03:49.540 That's a good one.
01:03:50.740 Obama's gone.
01:03:51.780 That's a good one.
01:03:52.280 You don't have to worry about guns coming across the border.
01:03:55.580 Yeah.
01:03:56.280 Obama's out of office.
01:03:57.260 We're not running guns anymore.
01:03:59.860 All right.
01:04:00.480 Tweet's coming in.
01:04:01.300 It's at Doc Thompson show.
01:04:02.500 Please follow me there.
01:04:03.380 Let's see here.
01:04:04.780 Ah, Kara tweeting.
01:04:06.760 If the gun is the criminal, why arrest, try to imprison, or execute the shooter?
01:04:16.080 If the gun is the problem, why is James Holmes in prison?
01:04:21.340 True.
01:04:22.120 If the gun is the problem, why is Dylan Roof in prison?
01:04:28.220 If the gun did it, if the gun is the problem, why are you punishing imprisoning the perp?
01:04:34.980 It's not their fault.
01:04:36.800 It was the gun's fault.
01:04:38.920 And if you're saying they need to be in prison, if you do not, if you agree that James Holmes and or Dylan Roof and some of these other cats should be punished and in prison, then you're admitting they are culpable in this.
01:04:56.580 And if you're admitting their culpability in this, then you must admit it is not the object, the way in which they murdered, but the fact that they murdered.
01:05:08.740 More coming up next on the Glenn Beck program.
01:05:14.620 Glenn Beck.
01:05:22.500 Glenn Beck.
01:05:25.560 Doc Thompson in for Glenn today.
01:05:27.160 Please follow me on Twitter at Doc Thompson show.
01:05:29.360 Getting now to yet another celebrity who commented.
01:05:35.360 I don't know why Jimmy Kimmel feels that he needs to be the moral arbiter of America as simply a late night talk show.
01:05:42.680 He mentioned last night that he just wants to come in and joke about the news or whatever.
01:05:47.740 You can still do that.
01:05:48.500 He can still do that.
01:05:49.260 Yeah.
01:05:49.800 But he keeps diving into these political issues because he's pushing an agenda.
01:05:53.620 I share with you now a clip of Jimmy Kimmel's show last night, and we'll stop it a couple of times to show you some of the or at least highlight some of the failures.
01:06:01.660 Here we go.
01:06:02.340 And last night, the White House press secretary, Sarah Sanders, said this is not the time.
01:06:06.340 Actually, it was today, this morning.
01:06:07.840 She said it was not the time for political debate.
01:06:10.820 And I don't know.
01:06:12.460 We have 59 innocent people dead.
01:06:14.220 It wasn't their time either.
01:06:15.360 So I think now is the time for political debate.
01:06:17.920 I'm going to hold that flag in the play.
01:06:19.720 I'm going to have to stop that a moment.
01:06:20.700 Sorry.
01:06:20.980 If President Trump, in the middle of the carnage, as they were still taking people to the hospital, getting body counts yesterday morning, if President Trump had come out and said, hey, this is why it's so important to repeal Obamacare, because we need better health services in America and people need better access.
01:06:40.880 This shows as all these people are going to, what would they have done?
01:06:44.520 Yeah.
01:06:45.500 They would have melted the hell down.
01:06:47.500 If he had come out and said, more guns on the street are going to protect these people, something even closer related, they would have, how dare you politicize this tragedy, they would have said.
01:07:00.320 But it's okay for them.
01:07:02.100 You're a hypocrite, Jim.
01:07:03.340 Here we go.
01:07:04.100 President Trump is visiting Las Vegas on Wednesday.
01:07:07.100 He spoke this morning, said he's praying for those who lost their lives.
01:07:10.860 You know, in February, he also signed a bill that made it easier for people with severe mental illness to buy guns legally.
01:07:15.920 The Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, a number of other lawmakers who won't do anything about this because the NRA has their balls in a money clip, also sent their thoughts and their prayers today.
01:07:28.020 Hold on.
01:07:28.780 Hold on a second.
01:07:31.020 You're only calling out the NRA for being a controlling lobby?
01:07:36.440 There's a lot of controlling lobbying in D.C.
01:07:39.160 Yeah.
01:07:39.400 And you're only calling out McConnell and Paul Ryan?
01:07:42.240 Oh, yeah, they're in the tank for lobbyists.
01:07:44.620 Of course they are.
01:07:45.860 So is everybody else.
01:07:47.500 And you may not like the NRA.
01:07:49.980 You may hate them.
01:07:51.560 But the NRA is at least an organization that is lobbying on the behalf of one thing.
01:07:59.740 Protecting one of our God-granted and constitutionally protected rights.
01:08:04.960 Whereas half of the dirtbags that you support, Jimmy Kimmel, half of the people like the Clintons and the Bernie Sandersesses and the other dirtbags on Capitol Hill are in the pocket of lobbyists who are lobbying on behalf of themselves or a company pouring more money back into their pockets.
01:08:28.160 The NRA is charged with the task of defending a constitutional amendment.
01:08:38.360 It's not for the money.
01:08:40.060 They're not building up a big war chest to spend on themselves, to pour into their own pockets, to get rich.
01:08:48.960 It's to protect an amendment.
01:08:51.860 Here we go.
01:08:52.600 A little more.
01:08:52.980 Which is good.
01:08:55.040 They should be praying.
01:08:55.760 They should be praying for God to forgive them for letting the gun lobby run this country because it is so crazy.
01:09:02.800 Right now there are loopholes in the law that let people avoid background checks if they buy a gun privately from another party, if they buy a gun online or at a gun show.
01:09:12.980 So I want to show you something.
01:09:14.040 These are the faces of the senators who days after the shooting in Orlando.
01:09:16.640 Okay, so he showed a big picture of all of the senators' faces to call them out to shame them publicly.
01:09:23.520 You know, I said yesterday, you know when someone's being political because they're not giving you all of the information and all of the facts.
01:09:29.460 Jimmy is not doing that by mentioning the so-called gun show loophole, where if you can sell a gun between private citizens or a gun show and you're not subjected to the background checks.
01:09:39.320 But he's missing a really important point here.
01:09:41.920 He's not giving you all of the facts here.
01:09:43.880 And that is, how would you ever regulate that?
01:09:47.520 He talks about common sense gun show or gun laws.
01:09:50.940 How would you ever regulate private sale of guns?
01:09:55.540 It's impossible.
01:09:58.140 And would you ever do the same for knives?
01:10:00.660 He's not giving you all of the information because he doesn't want you to have it.
01:10:04.060 I want to share with you one other tweet that was tweeted yesterday from a politician, the governor of Kentucky, Matt Bevin, who tweeted,
01:10:14.880 To all those political opportunists who are seizing on the tragedy in Las Vegas to call for more gun regs, you cannot regulate evil.
01:10:26.100 And this is the reason I like Matt Bevin.
01:10:32.700 Glenn Beck.
01:10:39.980 Love.
01:10:41.560 Courage.
01:10:42.940 Truth.
01:10:44.220 Glenn Beck.
01:10:45.320 Doc Thompson in for Glenn.
01:10:46.600 I'll be with you tomorrow.
01:10:47.740 Then Pat Gray will be pinch hitting on Thursday and Friday as well.
01:10:52.180 Coming up immediately following this broadcast on the Blaze Radio Network, Pat Gray is going to be covering the Alex Jones video from yesterday.
01:11:00.780 He connected the dots.
01:11:02.500 I'm so glad Alex Jones is in our lives.
01:11:06.720 I cannot fully do it justice.
01:11:09.140 I didn't talk about it.
01:11:10.340 I didn't discuss it this morning on our broadcast on the Morning Blaze because I knew I couldn't do it justice like Pat Gray.
01:11:18.440 He's so good at it.
01:11:19.580 Pat Gray has covered the crazy that is Alex Jones for a while, even on this program.
01:11:24.640 I mean, you know, if you're a regular listener to this broadcast, that Glenn and Pat and Stu and Jeffy have covered this quite a bit.
01:11:32.880 Alex offered up some insight to the shooting in Las Vegas.
01:11:37.960 Brilliant.
01:11:38.860 And by brilliant, we mean.
01:11:40.900 Amazing.
01:11:41.320 And by amazing, we mean crazy.
01:11:46.180 Even for Alex Jones, this is like crazy.
01:11:48.920 I'm telling you.
01:11:49.780 I'm telling you.
01:11:50.580 Here's what's going on.
01:11:51.940 Does that have to do with the gay frogs?
01:11:53.900 No, but he throws out.
01:11:57.080 I'm not going to spoil it.
01:11:58.000 Yeah, don't spoil it.
01:11:58.940 He connects a lot of dots.
01:12:00.660 It's all about the flicker rate.
01:12:01.680 He connects the dots and even brings in a dot that's even not a dot.
01:12:10.420 It's so far off the chart.
01:12:11.700 But you're like, OK, all right.
01:12:13.880 There we go.
01:12:15.600 Pat will cover that today.
01:12:17.920 Let's go to theblazeradio.com for more information.
01:12:21.200 All right.
01:12:21.400 We'll get some calls.
01:12:22.180 Triple eight, seven, two, seven back.
01:12:24.000 Triple eight, seven, two, seven back.
01:12:25.320 We'll also get some tweets and some comments from the Facebook as well.
01:12:29.860 Oh, sorry.
01:12:31.480 Yeah, fell asleep on that one.
01:12:33.160 You have this one.
01:12:34.020 This is interesting, Doc, because you've been very critical of the left.
01:12:38.180 And Ron says.
01:12:39.620 I was like, when specifically?
01:12:42.240 You mean beginning in 1995?
01:12:45.280 The last two hours.
01:12:46.720 Oh, yeah, that's true.
01:12:47.520 Very critical.
01:12:48.740 You know, you're mocking them.
01:12:50.500 Have I been mocking them?
01:12:51.720 Very mockfully.
01:12:53.260 Really?
01:12:54.060 Yes.
01:12:54.980 Really?
01:12:55.720 Yes.
01:12:56.740 Ron brings a good question.
01:12:58.360 And actually, I support Ron right here.
01:13:00.480 Okay.
01:13:00.980 Ron, I stand with you.
01:13:02.020 Let me have it.
01:13:02.620 He says, I've heard a lot of mocking others for offering solutions.
01:13:07.740 Yes.
01:13:08.260 And I'm glad you bring this up because we bring up solutions all the time.
01:13:11.660 But none from you.
01:13:14.200 See?
01:13:15.120 You're all about blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
01:13:18.380 What about you?
01:13:19.340 Okay.
01:13:20.060 Yes, I am about the blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
01:13:22.140 I don't appreciate the high pitch blah, blah right there, though.
01:13:25.020 Blah, blah.
01:13:25.520 Thank you.
01:13:26.400 Thank you.
01:13:26.980 Thank you very much.
01:13:28.260 Yeah.
01:13:29.020 Yes, I have solutions to this thing.
01:13:30.900 Are you talking about the shooting in Vegas?
01:13:32.780 Yeah.
01:13:33.140 What's the solution?
01:13:33.600 The mass murder?
01:13:34.580 How do we keep that from happening?
01:13:36.060 Yeah, you got Visele, you know, the former president, Vicente Fox, saying, you know, gun
01:13:40.860 control.
01:13:41.640 Right.
01:13:41.920 You got Jimmy saying, hey, we need to push more gun control.
01:13:45.780 Right.
01:13:45.900 So what is your solution?
01:13:47.280 Doc Thompson, everybody, go.
01:13:48.360 I will offer those solutions now.
01:13:50.240 Now, as I do, let me first say, as far as gun control goes, the reason that is not a solution
01:13:55.040 is because, first of all, when has gun control ever been inclusive of the government or the
01:14:04.240 people in power?
01:14:05.100 Chuck Schumer talks about gun control and he owns a gun.
01:14:08.760 Lots of these politicians talk about gun control.
01:14:11.020 They own guns.
01:14:12.160 Lots of the political left, the Hollywood, the limousine liberals out there, they talk about
01:14:17.380 gun control.
01:14:18.100 They own guns.
01:14:19.380 Many of them have security that own guns.
01:14:21.880 They hire security forces with guns.
01:14:24.500 So they're being hypocritical.
01:14:25.900 What they're saying is they don't want you to have a gun.
01:14:29.280 Gun control has been used to keep you, the masses, from having guns.
01:14:34.240 The history of the world is one of oppression.
01:14:37.020 That's the truth.
01:14:38.620 The history of the world is about some people having power.
01:14:44.120 Now, they can set it up as a dictatorship, an oligarchy, a theocracy, any of these.
01:14:48.580 They can even set it up as a seeming democracy or even a republic.
01:14:54.160 That can happen as well.
01:14:56.900 Because what happens, well, even an oligarchy, those people in power, whether it's power through
01:15:03.100 money, influence, or an outright dictatorship, theocracy, or any of these, they still have
01:15:08.860 access to guns and they want access to keep you, the masses, from having them.
01:15:13.180 That's the history of the world.
01:15:14.960 Part of the genius of America was that we would do the best to stave that off, to keep
01:15:20.940 that from happening.
01:15:21.780 And we have for the most part.
01:15:23.220 There are still those influential powers.
01:15:25.060 Obviously, there's corrupt members of the government and some people that are powerful because
01:15:29.660 of the money and influence they have.
01:15:31.780 But that's the reason I fight so hard for the Second Amendment and others, is because
01:15:36.200 as long as it's there, the playing field is level.
01:15:38.860 Gun control only controls the guns from some.
01:15:44.020 And it's not just the criminals.
01:15:47.580 Of course, the criminals are still going to have them, but also those people in power.
01:15:51.420 So my solutions, Chris Cruz and other guys.
01:15:54.080 I still don't hear any solutions.
01:15:55.720 Ron.
01:15:56.260 Ron.
01:15:56.680 Number one, as far as this guy is concerned and what happened in Las Vegas, better mental
01:16:02.960 health screenings, better mental health services.
01:16:05.840 And you know where we would get and have better mental health services?
01:16:09.660 In a redesigned health care system where we would have more access to medicine, where
01:16:15.040 all people would have access to medicine because it would be cheap and it would be plentiful.
01:16:20.420 And how do we get that?
01:16:22.920 Less government, less rules, less regulation, and what we have never had when it comes to
01:16:30.160 medicine in America, and that is a free market.
01:16:32.440 The closest we've come is in the infancy of medicine in America, when a person could go
01:16:37.980 to their, you know, family doctor out in the country and pay them in a chicken or, you
01:16:43.840 know, a couple dozen eggs or something like that, or a couple of quarts of honey for fixing
01:16:47.780 their kid, that's about the closest we've come.
01:16:52.780 A free market health care system would offer better mental health care services.
01:16:58.460 It would be plentiful.
01:17:00.620 It would be cheap.
01:17:02.720 What else would stop this from happening?
01:17:05.280 A better economy.
01:17:08.440 One of the reasons people go crazy and do these things, one of the trigger points is a bad economy.
01:17:14.460 How do they radicalize people in the extreme, extremist Muslim countries?
01:17:20.980 How do they radicalize people in America, in the West, to join their crazy exploits by telling
01:17:29.760 them, how come you don't have more?
01:17:33.560 You're just as good as everybody else.
01:17:35.980 Join us.
01:17:36.580 We'll make you strong.
01:17:37.880 Look, you don't even have anything.
01:17:39.420 I mean, Cal, your family's from Egypt, the Middle East, a lot of poor people, a lot of
01:17:46.200 poverty.
01:17:47.080 Yeah, primarily poor.
01:17:48.680 And because of that, a lack of education, a lack of money, people are easy to be preyed
01:17:53.840 upon, to be radicalized because they say you don't have a better economy and better education
01:17:59.280 through a better economy and less government rules and regulations and a free market provides
01:18:04.640 for more money and opportunity for people.
01:18:08.560 A secure border.
01:18:10.860 How else have people attacked people in America?
01:18:13.980 By bringing guns or bad people to America when we don't know who they are or what they
01:18:19.480 have.
01:18:20.240 Secure the border.
01:18:22.180 What else would help?
01:18:23.800 More guns.
01:18:25.480 Yeah, sounds kind of counterintuitive.
01:18:27.980 More guns likely wouldn't have happened or, excuse me, wouldn't have helped with what
01:18:33.420 happened on Sunday night in Las Vegas because the guy was in a room.
01:18:38.480 More guns on the street from the average person probably wouldn't be able to stop him.
01:18:42.620 But a lot of these other cases, Adam Lanza.
01:18:46.980 How about Cho at Virginia Tech?
01:18:49.700 How about the movie theater in Aurora, Colorado with James Holmes?
01:18:55.840 These were all gun-free zones.
01:18:57.980 They were all gun-free zones.
01:19:01.500 There were no guns except for the illegally gotten guns from those criminals who had nefarious
01:19:11.080 intent.
01:19:13.260 More guns in those places would have at least given the opportunity for people to stop the
01:19:20.100 rampage of those knuckleheads.
01:19:21.800 By the way, most casinos gun-free zones.
01:19:28.240 Not that he shot people in the casino, but he was in a hotel.
01:19:31.980 Did it stop him from taking the gun in the hotel?
01:19:35.040 No.
01:19:35.860 So more guns is something.
01:19:37.720 What else will help?
01:19:38.940 A less oppressive government.
01:19:41.080 What do I mean by that?
01:19:42.720 I mean with a less oppressive government, I get to make more decisions for myself.
01:19:46.200 I get to have more money and keep more money to make my life and my family better.
01:19:53.340 More education, more opportunity, and a government that'll stop pissing me off by telling me how
01:19:59.100 I'm supposed to raise my children and run my life.
01:20:02.580 Because that's less of a trigger.
01:20:04.340 And finally, when it comes to some of this stuff, better police work.
01:20:10.960 I'm not criticizing the cops.
01:20:13.020 Cops do a pretty good job, but their hands are tied quite often.
01:20:16.420 Because of police unions and the political left telling them that they're bad and they're just
01:20:22.520 indiscriminately shooting people, or even worse, purposely shooting people and killing them
01:20:27.440 because of their race.
01:20:29.400 Better police work and more respect.
01:20:31.780 And finally, more appreciation for life.
01:20:39.480 And we get that by recognizing our higher power and being more thankful of what we have.
01:20:48.500 Human life is cheap in most parts of the world.
01:20:53.020 Human life doesn't count for much.
01:20:55.340 They don't value it.
01:20:57.300 It just doesn't matter.
01:20:58.400 We've always valued it in America because we have that higher power and different covenants
01:21:06.420 with God.
01:21:08.980 We help each other.
01:21:10.380 The history of America is people getting together for barn buildings to help their neighbor.
01:21:18.520 In times of crisis, look at what happened with Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma.
01:21:24.300 And even now with Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico.
01:21:27.380 Americans help people.
01:21:28.440 Americans help the world.
01:21:29.860 America has saved the world countless times from bad guys.
01:21:33.160 So, more faith and more appreciation for what we have and a little more respect from our neighbors.
01:21:41.820 These things will all stop some of this violence from happening.
01:21:48.600 But you've got to remember one thing.
01:21:51.420 Nothing will stop all of it.
01:21:53.600 There will always be some bad.
01:21:55.800 We can tamp most of it down.
01:21:59.220 We can get rid of most of it with the things I just mentioned.
01:22:03.200 But there will always be some.
01:22:05.660 And at those times, we have to fight against the natural knee-jerk reaction from a lot of
01:22:12.560 the people we've discussed today on the air to say something must be done as they wring
01:22:18.380 their hands and call for more oppression.
01:22:21.060 Government oppression has led to more bad than guns.
01:22:30.280 So, when those rare cases under the system I just discussed happen, we have to make sure
01:22:38.580 we don't join with those people who are obviously upset, emotional because of the circumstances
01:22:45.100 and say, whoa, whoa, whoa, hold it.
01:22:46.320 Mourn, be upset, get the information, get closure.
01:22:52.780 All of that's therapy, that's fine.
01:22:55.180 But stop right now before you make a knee-jerk reaction based on your emotions.
01:23:03.180 As long as the imminent threat is gone, hold it, wait, stop.
01:23:07.580 We can discuss this.
01:23:08.960 We can move ahead.
01:23:10.200 Because most of what you want to do is a slippery slope that's going to bring about a lot more
01:23:14.600 bad.
01:23:16.320 There's a story at TheBlaze.com.
01:23:18.560 I have had my differences with Bill O'Reilly over the years.
01:23:21.980 Seems like a nice guy.
01:23:23.300 I think I met him one time.
01:23:25.820 I don't agree with a lot of what Bill says and I agree with some of what he says, but
01:23:29.740 I've had differences.
01:23:31.260 But one of the smartest things Bill has said is a story that's posted at TheBlaze.com.
01:23:37.720 Bill O'Reilly said of this tragedy, and I'm paraphrasing, but this is the price of freedom.
01:23:42.360 Some bad will always happen in a free society.
01:23:48.860 But good people will keep a lot of it from happening.
01:23:54.180 And when it does, we'll make sure that there are the best circumstances in that bad.
01:24:01.720 This is the price for freedom.
01:24:04.280 And if you're willing to give up some freedom because of some bad, you will end up with neither
01:24:10.080 safety and security nor freedom.
01:24:13.760 To paraphrase Ben Franklin, back in a minute with more on the Glenn Beck program.
01:24:21.920 Glenn Beck.
01:24:26.940 Glenn Beck.
01:24:28.240 Hi there.
01:24:31.240 It's Doc Thompson in for Glenn today, along with Chris Cruz and Cal.
01:24:34.640 Regularly heard on the Morning Blaze.
01:24:36.380 Just go to TheBlazeRadio.com.
01:24:38.540 You can find out more about us.
01:24:41.000 Throughout our program, we usually use the hashtag WhatILearnToday on Twitter, and we
01:24:44.640 submit different comments about the broadcast, and we'll share those communiques.
01:24:48.900 Got some coming in right now.
01:24:50.480 Again, at Doc Thompson Show, please follow me.
01:24:53.380 You want to turn that mic on button.
01:24:55.660 There you go.
01:24:56.340 Got American Shrug saying, well said, Doc.
01:24:59.760 Well said.
01:25:00.600 Thank you.
01:25:01.860 Yeah, I tuned you out.
01:25:03.360 I completely tuned you out.
01:25:05.120 I know you asked me, hey, how was that?
01:25:06.800 How was that?
01:25:07.280 Did it make sense?
01:25:08.240 Well, I go to the break.
01:25:09.820 Chris is challenging me.
01:25:10.620 You didn't offer any solutions.
01:25:12.140 I did.
01:25:12.740 I did.
01:25:13.200 You're staying in with Ron.
01:25:13.760 Give me the business.
01:25:14.220 So I go, how was that?
01:25:15.440 And Chris is like, I wasn't listening.
01:25:17.420 I was doing some other things.
01:25:19.760 Yeah, sorry about that.
01:25:20.700 Okay.
01:25:21.160 Julie says, Doc Thompson, maybe the problem is we're too medicated.
01:25:26.900 That's definitely part of it.
01:25:28.220 We are crazy ass medicated now.
01:25:30.180 I'm serious.
01:25:30.940 Just nutty amounts of medication.
01:25:33.300 You got Stephen English saying, what I learned today, Doc Thompson is not Mocky, Mocky, Mocky face?
01:25:39.600 Mocky McMock face.
01:25:40.900 I like that.
01:25:42.480 That's because anytime they ask anybody to name anything online, it's because something
01:25:46.680 Mcsomething face.
01:25:47.820 Name this boat, Boaty McBoat face.
01:25:50.560 Name this school, Schoolie McSchool face.
01:25:52.620 So a couple of months ago, I just, and I know everyone does that.
01:25:58.880 I know.
01:25:59.460 But stupidly, I was like, okay, my wife is pregnant again and she's due.
01:26:04.560 Wait, what?
01:26:05.000 She's pregnant again.
01:26:05.880 Oh, wow.
01:26:06.340 Kyle, did you hear that?
01:26:07.180 Because you usually mean this kind of news.
01:26:09.160 Now, I didn't ask you to name her, goof.
01:26:12.640 So she's due after the first of the year in January.
01:26:15.920 So I was like, hey, a couple months ago, I go, we're looking for some different names.
01:26:20.200 Yeah, because you have to have a weird name.
01:26:22.260 Well, because my last name's Thompson.
01:26:24.160 It's one of the most common names in America.
01:26:25.480 So what's your oldest son's name?
01:26:28.300 I'm not sure if I want to disclose that.
01:26:30.340 What is your second child's name?
01:26:32.440 I'm not sure I want to disclose that.
01:26:33.980 And what is your third child's name?
01:26:35.100 What's your dog's name?
01:26:36.700 F-ing dog.
01:26:37.160 Doggy McDogger face.
01:26:38.140 I hate that.
01:26:39.500 So I go, my son's name is Tiger.
01:26:42.700 Okay.
01:26:43.480 Tiger.
01:26:44.300 Okay.
01:26:45.360 Interesting.
01:26:45.980 Unique.
01:26:46.940 Very unique.
01:26:49.280 And Jet.
01:26:51.300 Again, very unique.
01:26:53.340 Okay.
01:26:54.160 Okay.
01:26:54.800 Hold on.
01:26:55.120 A.K.A.
01:26:56.320 Cubby.
01:26:56.820 Okay.
01:26:57.240 That's his nickname, though.
01:26:58.240 Okay.
01:26:58.500 That's a whole other thing.
01:26:59.880 Anyway, so I'm like, I just need a name, and I'm trying to come up with something, and
01:27:04.460 just something different or whatever, and really thought, stupidly, for a moment, our audience
01:27:09.520 in the morning would be like, hey, here's a historical name.
01:27:12.700 Let me help you out.
01:27:13.600 And what name do they get?
01:27:14.900 Kid McKidface.
01:27:16.060 Baby McBabyface.
01:27:17.660 Tommy Tom Tomface.
01:27:18.520 Tommy Babyface.
01:27:19.280 That was it.
01:27:19.880 And I was like, okay.
01:27:21.200 All right.
01:27:21.620 Good.
01:27:21.960 I deserve that.
01:27:22.440 Because you also put out there that you wanted to be something with,
01:27:24.600 has, like, connection to the founding fathers.
01:27:27.500 Well, I said if I could find something like that, but I can't pick, like, George after
01:27:31.380 George.
01:27:31.820 By the way, Cubby, the other night we're at dinner, my wife goes, something about the
01:27:36.460 baby, and he goes, name, and he goes, George Washington.
01:27:40.780 Ooh.
01:27:41.180 And I was like, wow, the problem is, I don't even know George.
01:27:44.400 Do you know how many George Thompsons there probably are?
01:27:46.360 Hold on.
01:27:46.960 So, Cubby came out.
01:27:48.260 He's three, right?
01:27:49.100 Yes.
01:27:49.740 And he says-
01:27:50.640 George Washington.
01:27:52.880 What was that look for?
01:27:55.480 Cal, when you talk to your daughter, Zena-
01:27:59.080 Zena.
01:27:59.500 Zena.
01:27:59.960 Zena.
01:28:00.060 Sorry.
01:28:01.180 She's not the warrior princess.
01:28:02.720 No, she's not.
01:28:03.320 I wish, though.
01:28:03.920 It would be kind of cool.
01:28:04.740 She's got the energy of a warrior princess.
01:28:06.840 And you say, hey, let's name, because you also are-
01:28:10.820 You just had a baby, right?
01:28:11.660 You just had another baby.
01:28:12.280 Yeah.
01:28:13.260 When you ask her, hey, what should we name your sister?
01:28:15.800 Did she come up with a founding father?
01:28:17.200 Did she say, I don't know, what's George Washington's wife?
01:28:20.080 Martha.
01:28:20.400 Martha.
01:28:21.480 No, she said Moana.
01:28:26.560 She's a big Disney fan.
01:28:27.780 Of course my son's going to know a little, you know, founding father, whatever.
01:28:32.400 I have a feeling that he's going to get beat down.
01:28:34.340 So I can't go Tom Jefferson.
01:28:36.740 I mean, he's all too common.
01:28:38.380 I get you Patrick Henry.
01:28:39.420 It's all common names.
01:28:40.660 I hate to break it to you, but pretty much all the founding fathers were George, John,
01:28:43.700 Adam, you know.
01:28:44.580 None of them.
01:28:45.740 So that's the reason I was asking for help, and we haven't come up with any.
01:28:49.540 So we got a couple-
01:28:50.260 What's wrong with those names?
01:28:51.060 Those are strong, solid, strong, biblical names.
01:28:53.820 That's not the point.
01:28:54.940 The point is-
01:28:55.940 Because there are a billion of them out there.
01:28:58.900 I'm trying to get something so there's-
01:28:59.700 Because they're solid names.
01:29:00.780 Right, exactly.
01:29:01.520 You know how many Bob and Don and Thompsons there are and everything else?
01:29:04.360 There's going to be a billion of them.
01:29:05.600 I'm thinking here, isn't there a family member that is named after a plant or a seasoning or
01:29:12.640 a ingredient?
01:29:13.640 My father's-
01:29:16.400 He's dead now, but his name was Basil.
01:29:21.220 I mean, I'm so sorry for his passing.
01:29:23.700 That's the reason we all got really common names, because he hated his name.
01:29:29.600 So I guess he gave us common ones.
01:29:32.860 We all thought those were too common.
01:29:34.160 All right, what is it?
01:29:34.920 Your kid.
01:29:35.880 All right, go ahead.
01:29:36.360 Paprika.
01:29:36.680 Okay, my now-dead sister-
01:29:39.780 Paprika Thompson.
01:29:40.600 How good does that sound?
01:29:41.440 Went a little bit crazy and wanted that to be her official chef name as she was going
01:29:45.540 to chef school.
01:29:46.720 Paprika.
01:29:47.580 Ha!
01:29:48.100 I was like, no, sorry.
01:29:49.480 That's a fail.
01:29:53.640 Glenn Beck.
01:29:59.020 You're listening to the Glenn Beck Program.
01:30:02.400 Okay, now I got a bunch of people suggesting names for my son.
01:30:05.280 I love them all.
01:30:05.980 Do it the first of the year, just after the first of the year.
01:30:09.600 Our buddy DM and DM, the proprietor of American Pride Roasters Coffee at AmericanPrideRoasters.com
01:30:14.740 just sent, how about Carver?
01:30:16.920 What about Carver?
01:30:17.780 Like you carving?
01:30:19.000 Carver.
01:30:19.720 Like you carving things?
01:30:21.100 Like pumpkin?
01:30:21.660 Yeah, Carver.
01:30:23.040 Hmm.
01:30:23.440 Like George Washington Carver?
01:30:25.500 Hmm.
01:30:28.000 Historical figure?
01:30:30.780 A guy you should certainly admire?
01:30:33.180 Genius?
01:30:34.120 Sure.
01:30:34.680 Yeah.
01:30:34.900 And we currently live in Northwest Arkansas, Bentonville area, and he grew up real close
01:30:40.440 to there.
01:30:42.080 I think about Carver.
01:30:43.660 It's unique.
01:30:44.220 What do you think?
01:30:45.280 It's unique, but I think of carving, though.
01:30:48.040 Okay.
01:30:48.500 That's a fail then.
01:30:49.760 Okay.
01:30:50.220 What about middle name?
01:30:50.900 If you pick Carver, what would you go for?
01:30:53.800 Because you know.
01:30:55.140 Up.
01:30:55.520 You got C.
01:30:56.640 Up.
01:31:02.120 Chris is like slowly getting that one.
01:31:05.960 Okay.
01:31:06.380 Maybe Carver's not great.
01:31:07.920 Now, Bob Blah Blah.
01:31:09.580 Love the Bob Blah Blah.
01:31:10.360 Love the Bob Blah Blah.
01:31:11.280 Tweeted at us.
01:31:13.040 How about Button?
01:31:15.040 Like a button?
01:31:16.200 Yeah.
01:31:16.780 To honor Button Gwinnett, a less popular signer of the Declaration of Independence.
01:31:21.940 Okay.
01:31:22.400 Or lesser known.
01:31:23.640 What about Coolidge?
01:31:24.800 Hang on.
01:31:25.320 Here's the problem.
01:31:26.840 I don't know much about Button Gwinnett.
01:31:28.760 I'm admitting my failure on that one.
01:31:30.480 Now, I know some of the other lesser known founding fathers, like one of the ones, a guy
01:31:35.340 represented on the back of the Delaware quarter, Caesar Rodney.
01:31:40.780 Oh, my gosh.
01:31:41.480 This guy was awesome.
01:31:43.020 What about Caesar?
01:31:44.020 Thought about that and the wife poo-pooed it.
01:31:46.060 Why?
01:31:46.440 It's a dressing.
01:31:47.220 It's a fascinating dressing.
01:31:48.740 I think that's why.
01:31:49.480 Oh.
01:31:49.800 And then you could also make, most people would think you're naming him Caesar after Julius
01:31:53.220 Caesar, who was a dictator.
01:31:54.800 So, you see the confusion there?
01:31:57.400 You know what I'm saying?
01:31:58.180 And he did get stabbed, right?
01:31:59.260 Yes, many times.
01:32:01.480 Et tu, Christian?
01:32:04.280 You don't know?
01:32:05.140 And you?
01:32:06.460 That's what Brutus said.
01:32:07.840 Or that's what he said when Brutus said, et tu, Brute?
01:32:09.800 Okay, never mind.
01:32:10.640 Anyway, so people would think Caesar.
01:32:11.780 So, it's a bit of a fail there.
01:32:12.940 And then Governor Morrissey.
01:32:15.740 Sure.
01:32:16.500 Another.
01:32:17.340 Celebrate his entire catalog.
01:32:18.480 From New York.
01:32:19.640 Governor Morrissey, founding father.
01:32:21.540 That cat, awesome as well.
01:32:23.340 Know quite a bit about him.
01:32:24.620 Governor Morrissey, like his first name was Governor.
01:32:27.140 Spelled a little differently than Governor.
01:32:28.920 Oh, okay.
01:32:30.220 Okay, that's pretty cool.
01:32:31.040 Yeah, that's what I'm saying, right?
01:32:32.280 Hold on, that's pretty cool.
01:32:33.280 I tried to talk my wife into Governor.
01:32:35.840 Spelled what way?
01:32:36.900 I can't remember, but it's not like-
01:32:38.600 It's not the normal Governor.
01:32:39.680 Like Governor of a state.
01:32:40.620 Talk about douchey.
01:32:41.580 What?
01:32:41.940 What's wrong with Governor?
01:32:43.480 You want to name your kid Governor?
01:32:45.520 Governor Thompson.
01:32:46.540 It's spelled differently.
01:32:47.220 That would be his first name still.
01:32:48.720 Call him Gov.
01:32:49.940 That's so douchey.
01:32:51.180 I like that.
01:32:51.440 What's wrong with that?
01:32:52.500 I like that.
01:32:53.280 You want him to get beat up at school?
01:32:55.000 Is that what you're trying to do?
01:32:56.120 It's like a boy named Sue.
01:32:57.680 You either learn to fight or you get beat up.
01:33:02.140 How long ago did you bring this up to the wife?
01:33:03.920 What does his middle name be Senator?
01:33:06.080 Governor Senator Thompson?
01:33:07.780 There would be a problem if he ever became a governor.
01:33:10.420 Governor Governor?
01:33:11.420 Governor Governor.
01:33:11.960 Or Senator Governor?
01:33:14.320 I like it.
01:33:15.160 I like that one.
01:33:15.840 How long ago did you bring this up?
01:33:17.240 Over the summer.
01:33:18.900 Okay.
01:33:19.460 Should I revisit it?
01:33:20.760 Hold on.
01:33:21.940 Let's tag team this.
01:33:23.240 Okay.
01:33:23.840 Let me just bring it out there.
01:33:25.860 You bring it up to my wife.
01:33:26.880 Yep.
01:33:27.200 Because, you know, we text like, I think like every other day.
01:33:29.360 Yeah.
01:33:29.480 What is with you talking to my wife and Cal's wife?
01:33:32.840 It's very rude for me not to text back to people that text me.
01:33:36.820 Okay.
01:33:37.060 I don't know, Cal, he communicates with our wives more than we do.
01:33:41.320 And Jeffy's wife.
01:33:42.280 We can get with Jeff.
01:33:42.780 Okay.
01:33:43.180 It's very nerving.
01:33:44.600 So, but in this case, okay, so you throw it out there?
01:33:47.360 Yeah.
01:33:47.620 I'll throw it out there.
01:33:48.320 You seal the deal.
01:33:49.800 How about Morrissey?
01:33:51.600 Who's that?
01:33:52.560 Governor Morrissey.
01:33:53.720 Oh.
01:33:54.260 The problem is there's that douchey singer who's nuts, Morrissey.
01:33:58.640 Oh, he's crazy.
01:34:00.060 So, yeah, I couldn't do that.
01:34:01.280 But you could go Governor Morrissey Thompson.
01:34:03.860 Governor Morrissey.
01:34:04.760 That's horrible.
01:34:05.660 Yeah.
01:34:05.860 That's way too much.
01:34:07.060 Okay, fine.
01:34:07.520 And then the initials doesn't work out.
01:34:10.300 GMT.
01:34:10.960 It's Greenwich Mean Time.
01:34:13.740 That's the abbreviation for Greenwich Mean Time.
01:34:15.700 GMT.
01:34:16.160 Oh, my God.
01:34:16.540 You had that like right there.
01:34:17.720 Dude, I'm just fast.
01:34:18.820 What are you talking about?
01:34:20.500 Yeah, not right there.
01:34:21.480 JJ tweeting.
01:34:22.220 How about Charles Sumner Thompson?
01:34:24.360 Not bad.
01:34:25.060 The problem is Chuck, Charles Thompson.
01:34:26.900 Going to be a lot of Charles Thompsons out there.
01:34:28.700 Again, I'm trying to, you know.
01:34:29.560 What about Grover?
01:34:30.680 You don't hear a lot of Grovers anymore.
01:34:32.080 Grover.
01:34:32.840 But you know the problem with that.
01:34:34.600 The Muppet?
01:34:35.380 Yeah.
01:34:35.940 Oh.
01:34:36.180 Hello.
01:34:37.160 Right?
01:34:37.520 You got that going.
01:34:39.560 What about Benton?
01:34:40.700 You live in Bentonville.
01:34:42.840 Yeah.
01:34:44.140 I don't know.
01:34:45.200 How about Benjamin Franklin face?
01:34:48.240 Somebody.
01:34:49.060 I don't think they're taking it.
01:34:50.060 Now, TJ tweeted.
01:34:51.380 How about Quincy?
01:34:52.680 Here's the problem.
01:34:53.380 Quincy.
01:34:53.940 Unique name.
01:34:54.740 Quincy Thompson.
01:34:55.380 Okay.
01:34:55.860 Got a Q as an initial.
01:34:57.120 That's not bad.
01:34:57.780 The problem is if you're going after like a founding father or not even a founding father,
01:35:02.500 but an early historical American figure.
01:35:05.340 Are you going for John Quincy Adams?
01:35:07.240 Is that what you're going for?
01:35:08.160 I think so.
01:35:08.740 If you are.
01:35:09.240 Quincy Adams is a little douchey.
01:35:10.800 But what?
01:35:11.540 Isn't there a singer Quincy?
01:35:13.880 Quincy Jones.
01:35:14.820 Yeah.
01:35:15.140 So I think.
01:35:15.760 And there was the 70s TV show.
01:35:17.700 Quincy.
01:35:18.600 Huh.
01:35:18.940 Jack Klugman starred.
01:35:20.100 Hmm.
01:35:20.340 No.
01:35:21.280 What do you like?
01:35:22.060 Quincy Cal?
01:35:22.820 No.
01:35:23.700 Nah.
01:35:24.140 Oh, yeah.
01:35:24.540 See, that's what I'm saying too.
01:35:25.440 So it's got to be a founding father you like or a historical figure you like.
01:35:28.680 So that's a must.
01:35:29.460 It must be a founding father.
01:35:31.220 No, I'm just saying if I'm going through, if you're going to name after somebody historical,
01:35:33.800 you don't want to.
01:35:34.500 Hey, Jack the Ripper Thompson.
01:35:36.380 You don't name somebody that's a, you know.
01:35:38.240 Well, TMB Saddle Tramp saying, and I like this one.
01:35:42.500 Earthwater Mac F.
01:35:43.900 Water face Thompson.
01:35:45.760 Earthwater is our sponsor in the morning.
01:35:47.440 Just go to earthwater.com slash the blaze and try it.
01:35:50.500 Wonderful product.
01:35:51.540 I'm not sure I want it branded.
01:35:52.840 Would they pay me for it?
01:35:54.900 Oh, they are kind of.
01:35:56.240 Got to be millions on the table.
01:35:57.920 Ooh.
01:35:58.480 I think I'd be willing to do that.
01:35:59.960 I think.
01:36:00.580 It'd be horrible though.
01:36:02.020 Earthwater Thompson.
01:36:03.660 You can hear the whole life.
01:36:04.560 Listen, I made four million bucks off it, kid.
01:36:06.680 Sorry.
01:36:07.260 Cash is a cool name.
01:36:08.240 Cash from Earthwater.
01:36:09.400 Cash.
01:36:10.160 That is.
01:36:10.480 That's right.
01:36:10.780 One of the guys who markets and works for Earthwater's name is Cash.
01:36:13.920 I love that Cash.
01:36:15.580 Really?
01:36:16.180 With the name.
01:36:17.100 The guy.
01:36:18.580 You know that C in JCPenney is Cash?
01:36:22.880 So what's the cool thing?
01:36:24.080 I think it's James Cash Penny.
01:36:26.380 Are you messing with me?
01:36:27.220 No, I'm serious.
01:36:28.260 You like to mess with me a lot.
01:36:29.740 I'm pretty serious about that.
01:36:31.220 What about Cena McWarrior face?
01:36:33.460 Okay.
01:36:33.720 Now you're just being goofy.
01:36:35.140 Oh.
01:36:35.540 Okay.
01:36:35.940 Coolidge.
01:36:36.340 How about that?
01:36:37.120 I like that.
01:36:38.540 You have a mug that says Coolidge that you voted for.
01:36:40.760 Calvin Coolidge.
01:36:41.560 Yeah.
01:36:42.200 Yeah.
01:36:42.360 It says.
01:36:43.060 Someone left a mug here that says, don't blame me.
01:36:46.060 I voted for Romney.
01:36:47.600 And I put a piece of tape where it says, don't blame me.
01:36:49.720 I voted for Coolidge.
01:36:51.820 No, I'm not that old.
01:36:52.900 That's the joke.
01:36:53.980 I floated out there.
01:36:55.320 Calvin Coolidge Thompson.
01:36:58.040 And the wife shot that down.
01:37:00.380 How's that, Cal?
01:37:02.480 Calvin's okay.
01:37:04.400 I don't know if I'm going to go Calvin Coolidge Thompson.
01:37:06.320 Because that's your name?
01:37:08.360 Because you got a nickname, Cal?
01:37:09.680 I think so.
01:37:10.080 That just happened by accident.
01:37:11.880 I think so.
01:37:12.840 The other thing that you should really consider, we're trying to consider,
01:37:15.780 something that could be a good nickname.
01:37:17.660 You know what I'm saying?
01:37:18.600 Okay.
01:37:18.960 But no, don't give me that.
01:37:20.180 Why are you saying that?
01:37:20.740 Because your youngest son is Jet.
01:37:25.960 Right.
01:37:26.880 Because by Cubby.
01:37:28.100 I did not pick that.
01:37:29.760 That makes no sense.
01:37:31.380 Okay.
01:37:31.540 I kind of picked it.
01:37:32.220 But it wasn't meant to be his nickname moving forward.
01:37:34.380 It was just when he was in utero and shortly thereafter.
01:37:37.340 And it just stuck.
01:37:38.200 Because when I talk, and I love talking to your son,
01:37:40.540 it's about Cubby do this.
01:37:41.640 I'm like, what do you mean?
01:37:43.200 Cubby do this.
01:37:44.140 Right.
01:37:44.540 Third person, you know.
01:37:45.660 I'm like, wow, this kid is so brainwashed that Cubby is.
01:37:49.440 What about something like Indiana?
01:37:52.400 Like Indiana Jones.
01:37:53.220 We need the dog, Indiana.
01:37:54.360 Indiana Thompson.
01:37:55.720 So you got to have a good name.
01:37:57.040 But Jet would be a good nickname.
01:37:58.620 I mean, something like that.
01:37:59.140 Jet is a good nickname.
01:38:00.220 Right.
01:38:00.540 But how do you.
01:38:01.860 Okay.
01:38:02.080 My oldest son, Tiger.
01:38:03.140 Tie.
01:38:04.080 I like that.
01:38:04.680 Tie, right?
01:38:05.660 Is that a Y or an I?
01:38:07.200 We just spelled it with an I.
01:38:08.220 Okay.
01:38:08.440 That's a whole thing.
01:38:09.380 You get into a whole spelling with a Y your whole life.
01:38:11.260 You're like, no, no.
01:38:11.880 It's with a Y.
01:38:12.480 It's whatever.
01:38:13.720 So trying to come up with that.
01:38:15.080 It's got to be a decent nickname too.
01:38:17.840 Prescott Thompson.
01:38:19.380 Oh my gosh.
01:38:21.260 Did you just text my wife?
01:38:23.540 Maybe.
01:38:24.740 You did, didn't you?
01:38:25.900 Maybe.
01:38:26.600 You son of a guy.
01:38:27.440 Did you?
01:38:27.840 Because that's one of her names.

01:38:32.260 Oh, you jerk.
01:38:33.440 I was like, somebody actually came up with that.
01:38:36.220 She wanted Prescott.
01:38:37.280 I was like, seriously, Cal, come on.
01:38:38.980 That's one that's going to get you beat up.

01:38:41.480 Prescott.
01:38:42.020 I did.
01:38:42.600 I don't like this.
01:38:43.660 Don't put that one on me.
01:38:45.520 If you want to name him governor, you're not any better.
01:38:47.720 Governor is good.
01:38:48.660 That's historical.
01:38:49.600 I'll give you that.
01:38:50.040 You guys seriously want this kid to have issues growing up, man.
01:38:53.540 Okay.

01:38:56.900 It had to be.
01:38:57.200 No, it was a listener.
01:38:58.460 No, because she really.
01:38:59.480 That was one of my wife's.
01:39:00.400 That was one of her like two or three.
01:39:01.720 I can't take credit.
01:39:02.460 That was Dave on Twitter.
01:39:03.960 He said Prescott Thompson.
01:39:06.580 So maybe she's hiding, you know, with a Twitter.
01:39:09.760 No, I think somebody just threw it out there, too.
01:39:11.700 There's somebody else crazy that thinks that's a good name as well.

01:39:47.100 Okay.
01:39:48.020 Yeah.
01:39:48.460 Now, the sad part is, some of the really good names, like if Madison hadn't become an uber

01:39:59.540 Oh, really?
01:40:00.680 James Madison.
01:40:01.720 As far as founding fathers go.

01:40:20.980 Eight presidents from Ohio and eight from Virginia, my adopted state.
01:40:25.360 Yeah.
01:40:25.540 You love the Virginia.
01:40:26.840 Love the Virginia.

01:40:33.380 You can go James Garfield.
01:40:34.520 I was born in the same county.
01:40:35.920 Garfield.
01:40:36.280 Garfield.
01:40:36.840 Got that orange cat.
01:40:37.940 See?

01:40:42.920 Orange cat.
01:40:43.540 Sorry.
01:40:44.060 Garfield Thompson.

01:40:48.180 I don't know.
01:40:48.940 I'm going to come up with one.
01:40:49.960 Cody.
01:40:51.040 Oh, I like that cat.
01:40:52.880 Garfield's dog.
01:40:53.480 See what he's doing there.
01:40:55.640 So, yeah.
01:40:56.620 So, that'd be a.
01:40:57.380 McKinley.
01:40:58.040 It's a girl's name now.
01:40:59.440 How's McKinley a girl's name?
01:41:00.660 Is it McKinley a girl's name?
01:41:02.900 Yeah.

01:41:10.180 I think he was vetoed more piece of legislation than any.
01:41:13.180 So, that's a good one.
01:41:14.000 Fine.
01:41:14.600 We're up Peyton.
01:41:15.700 Wife didn't like Taft.
01:41:17.540 Why didn't she like Taft?
01:41:18.420 I don't know.
01:41:19.400 I think she was out on the Taft.

01:41:41.320 We kind of ran out of him there.
01:41:42.800 Gavin?
01:41:43.020 But that's rad.

01:42:39.460 one of our Fast Fact segments on the Second Amendment.
01:42:42.140 So, as you continue to try to sadly have to,
01:42:46.480 defend your Second Amendment rights,
01:42:49.220 this will help you do it.
01:42:50.360 It'll give you some ammunition because it is the Fast Facts.
01:42:52.920 It's not agenda-driven because the facts are laid out there.
01:42:57.200 Now, my, of course, agenda is to support the Second Amendment,
01:43:00.260 but it's all out there.
01:43:00.980 But just go to Facebook.com slash DocThompsonShow,
01:43:04.280 and also leave some comments there if you'd like to comment on any of the things we've been talking about,
01:43:08.900 specifically with the murderer in Las Vegas, Stephen Paddock.
01:43:13.200 And shout-out to Bowie.
01:43:14.800 She wrote that and produced that.
01:43:15.840 Oh, that's right.

01:43:30.760 so make sure to check that out.
01:43:31.780 Again, Facebook.com slash DocThompsonShow.
01:43:33.640 A couple more tweets and Facebook posts coming in.

01:43:55.760 Why Eric Cantor?
01:43:57.500 Is he your favorite?
01:44:00.340 Because he knows of my powerful dislike for Eric Cantor.
01:44:03.640 And all the dirtbag inside the Beltway politics that Eric Cantor is
01:44:09.300 and represented over the years.
01:44:11.500 Amy tweeting out,
01:44:13.900 Whenever I'm sad, I remember that Chuck E. Cheese's full name is
01:44:17.460 Charles Entertainment Cheese.
01:44:20.600 I did not know that.
01:44:22.080 We looked it up.
01:44:23.520 Charles Entertainment Cheese.
01:44:25.840 The E in Chuck E. Cheese is entertainment.
01:44:29.400 Wow.
01:44:30.780 This is such a colossal failure.
01:44:33.320 You know what happened.
01:44:34.420 What happened?
01:44:35.240 They named him Chuck E. Cheese.
01:44:37.180 And somebody said, what's he?
01:44:38.560 He's there.
01:44:38.820 What's he?
01:44:39.200 Finally, they had to come up with something in the corporate office.
01:44:41.200 And you're like, entertainment.
01:44:43.340 I got it.
01:44:43.500 Because we're about the entertainment.
01:44:44.720 I got it.
01:44:45.600 You ready for this?
01:44:46.500 What is it?
01:44:46.980 I'm ready for this.
01:44:47.920 You're not ready for this.
01:44:48.840 Is it Elroy?

01:45:04.060 Change that Chuck E. Cheese.
01:45:05.220 I'll like you much more if you change it.
01:45:07.260 If you've got any throughout the days, let us know.
01:45:09.200 I think we've narrowed it down to a couple possibilities.
01:45:12.500 And one of them, I'm not going to share what it is yet.
01:45:15.300 Okay.
01:45:15.640 But it is a founding father.
01:45:19.340 It is a part of the name of a signer of the Declaration of Independence.
01:45:24.500 Okay.
01:45:25.140 And there were 56 signers.
01:45:26.700 So I've narrowed it down just a little bit.
01:45:28.300 And we're working on it.
01:45:30.000 So I may have come up with one.
01:45:32.380 I don't love it.
01:45:34.140 I'm there.
01:45:34.640 I like the history.
