00:01:58.040 Hello America, welcome to the program
00:02:03.860 It is September 11th, 2023
00:02:08.640 And here's what's happening in our world
00:02:11.160 New Mexico governor, I love her
00:02:14.820 She's great, she's suspending the right to carry firearms in public 1.00
00:02:20.340 All across Albuquerque because
00:02:24.320 Well, it's an emergency
00:02:26.620 It's an emergency, and so she's enacting emergency orders 0.88
00:02:30.740 You know, one thing we have to swear off is
00:02:34.280 You know, yeah, yeah, yeah, we all love the Constitution
00:02:37.040 But it's an emergency
00:02:39.900 No, if it's not in the Constitution
00:02:43.860 We do not do it
00:02:46.680 If it is against the Bill of Rights
00:02:50.320 It cannot and shall not be done
00:02:53.360 How much clearer did our founders need to be?
00:02:58.260 There is something afoot in the country
00:03:01.640 And it is no longer just at the federal level
00:03:05.420 I'm gonna start in Texas in 60 seconds
00:03:08.480 Inflammation
00:03:09.900 Even just the word sounds unpleasant, doesn't it?
00:03:12.660 There's a lot of people in the world who suffer from frequent pain
00:03:15.620 And inflammation is usually the thing causing it
00:03:18.960 Inside your body, joints can begin to swell
00:03:21.680 And the next thing you know
00:03:22.780 You have pain radiating outward from those sources in your body
00:03:27.260 And I've heard hundreds of people talk about it over the years
00:03:29.940 And I know from my own experience
00:03:31.920 I can tell you it's no picnic
00:03:34.000 Relief Factor exists to give you back the life that you love
00:03:39.460 By reducing the inflammation in your body
00:03:41.880 So if you've been living with pain in your life

00:04:17.920 So the New Mexico Governor, Michelle Grisham 0.53
00:04:24.260 On Friday issued an emergency order
00:04:27.840 Suspending the right to carry firearms in public
00:04:33.920 Here's what she said
00:04:36.220 So effective immediately
00:04:38.900 No person
00:04:40.980 Other than a law enforcement officer
00:04:44.260 Or licensed security officer
00:04:47.060 Shall possess a firearm
00:04:49.760 Either openly or concealed
00:04:53.360 Within cities or counties
00:04:56.080 Averaging 1,000 or more
00:05:00.240 Violent crimes per 100,000
00:05:03.000 Stop
00:05:03.720 And
00:05:04.080 I'm sorry
00:05:08.800 Can you remind me of the Second Amendment
00:05:10.500 Shall
00:05:14.760 That's as clear as it gets
00:05:22.380 But she's declaring an emergency 0.99
00:05:27.220 Why?
00:05:29.160 Because there's crime
00:05:30.840 So what's the best thing to do about that crime?
00:05:34.900 Take the guns away from the law-abiding citizens
00:05:38.220 Of course
00:05:39.680 That way they have no ability to protect themselves
00:05:44.820 When somebody
00:05:46.060 Who is carrying a gun
00:05:48.200 Illegally
00:05:49.980 Will be the only one there with a gun
00:05:53.020 That is fantastic
00:05:55.640 Shall
00:05:57.620 Will
00:05:58.340 Not
00:05:58.700 Be
00:05:59.520 Infringed 1.00
00:06:01.160 Go ahead
00:06:03.220 Listen to her
00:06:04.220 The way she talks down to us
00:06:05.740 More than nine
00:06:05.940 Fire
00:06:06.360 Firearm related
00:06:07.940 Emergency department visits
00:06:10.180 So to put that in sort of a layman's term
00:06:13.180 Okay
00:06:13.540 What's layman mean?
00:06:14.820 Terms
00:06:15.220 Terms
00:06:15.920 For 30 days
00:06:16.820 30 days
00:06:17.540 Yes mom
00:06:18.000 In Albuquerque and Bernalillo County
00:06:19.900 It's the only place
00:06:21.060 Only place
00:06:21.680 That meets both those standards
00:06:22.920 Okay
00:06:23.460 Statewide order
00:06:24.900 Statewide
00:06:25.760 But only one place meets both
00:06:27.800 Okay
00:06:28.420 Criteria
00:06:29.080 Wow
00:06:29.580 We have far too many ER gunshot visits
00:06:32.060 And we have far too many crimes
00:06:34.400 Involving firearms
00:06:36.380 We are suspending
00:06:38.340 The constitution
00:06:39.720 Open and concealed carry
00:06:40.840 Okay
00:06:41.580 Oh
00:06:42.200 Suspending the constitution
00:06:44.760 Of the United States
00:06:46.480 So I just want to make sure I understand the order
00:06:47.900 Because it's very
00:06:48.520 She
00:06:48.740 I'm a layman
00:06:49.980 Yeah
00:06:50.420 It's hard for me to understand
00:06:51.560 Yeah
00:06:51.820 But when you see her do the hand signals
00:06:54.000 Yeah
00:06:54.420 You know
00:06:54.620 Where she kind of makes like a globe with her hands 0.90
00:06:57.520 And she says
00:06:58.060 You know
00:06:58.480 This
00:06:58.760 This whole area
00:07:00.560 You're like
00:07:01.340 Oh
00:07:01.920 Okay
00:07:02.360 I get it
00:07:03.080 So it's a thousand gun related crimes
00:07:06.440 For per 100,000 citizens
00:07:07.900 Which of course is in the second amendment
00:07:09.240 Shall not be infringed
00:07:10.220 Unless it rises over 1,000
00:07:12.220 Correct
00:07:12.540 Per 100,000 people
00:07:14.020 Exactly right
00:07:14.640 Which I don't really remember reading
00:07:16.080 But it's there
00:07:16.780 I'm sure
00:07:17.180 Sure it is
00:07:17.740 Good and plenty clause
00:07:18.700 But the other part is
00:07:19.780 It's emergency room visits
00:07:21.580 So
00:07:21.920 Yes
00:07:22.580 If you shoot a bunch of people
00:07:24.680 And they're all dead
00:07:26.120 When the police arrive
00:07:28.120 Yes
00:07:28.560 That's fine
00:07:29.240 That's fine
00:07:29.700 This will not kick in
00:07:30.920 No
00:07:31.240 If they're all murdered and dead
00:07:32.520 And long dead
00:07:33.380 With no heartbeat
00:07:34.320 No chance of surviving
00:07:35.580 They just go to the morgue
00:07:37.020 You mean
00:07:37.240 They just go directly to the morgue
00:07:38.740 Yeah
00:07:38.980 No problem
00:07:39.840 No problem
00:07:40.200 This will not go into effect
00:07:41.440 Okay
00:07:41.780 It's only when they go
00:07:42.760 Or if they're just minor
00:07:43.900 If they're little flesh wounds
00:07:45.380 You go to the urgent care or something
00:07:47.300 Yeah yeah yeah
00:07:47.840 That's fine too
00:07:48.740 Sure
00:07:48.980 It's just the people that go to the ER
00:07:50.700 That sets this off
00:07:51.560 You know you are so insensitive
00:07:51.700 Does it change now?
00:07:53.420 Does your opinion change
00:07:54.540 When you find out
00:07:55.300 That an 11 year old was shot?
00:07:57.500 It makes me very sad
00:07:58.640 That an 11 year old was shot
00:07:59.820 It does not change my opinion
00:08:01.200 On the constitution
00:08:02.100 See?
00:08:03.840 See?
00:08:06.020 That's the way everyone should be
00:08:08.600 You know
00:08:11.240 The constitution and the bill of rights say
00:08:15.240 Uh huh
00:08:17.300 Well what that means is
00:08:20.980 We're not going to do that
00:08:24.280 Everybody is going to start to look
00:08:26.720 For all kinds of new ideas
00:08:28.800 Because it's an emergency
00:08:30.660 We have to have everyone vaccinated
00:08:34.300 And we have to take away your right
00:08:37.140 To say no
00:08:39.440 You're not putting that in my body
00:08:40.940 No
00:08:41.840 No no no
00:08:43.280 It's an emergency
00:08:44.160 We have to do that
00:08:45.280 And you have to wear masks
00:08:47.060 Well no
00:08:49.140 I'm not going to
00:08:50.600 Well
00:08:51.060 You're just a killer
00:08:52.560 Of grandma
00:08:53.400 No that seems like
00:08:55.080 The governor of New York
00:08:56.360 That was killing
00:08:57.320 All the grandparents
00:08:58.180 We have to do it
00:09:01.740 Because it's an emergency
00:09:02.900 You have to give up
00:09:05.620 X, Y, and Z
00:09:07.000 Because
00:09:08.200 Emergency, emergency
00:09:10.400 Or emergency
00:09:11.520 No
00:09:13.280 You do not
00:09:16.080 Do that
00:09:17.300 Now this is happening
00:09:18.900 All over the country
00:09:20.340 This isn't just
00:09:22.640 Here
00:09:23.340 We're starting to see
00:09:25.300 Emergencies
00:09:26.320 But we're also starting to see
00:09:29.140 The games being played
00:09:31.300 With the constitution
00:09:32.600 I'm going to come back
00:09:33.880 To what's happening
00:09:35.700 In New Mexico
00:09:36.300 In a minute
00:09:36.720 I want to
00:09:37.520 I want to take you here
00:09:38.520 And show you
00:09:39.300 What's happening in Texas
00:09:41.400 Now I bet on Texas
00:09:44.780 But I'm not so sure
00:09:46.400 If you're packing
00:09:47.060 And you're thinking
00:09:47.480 I've got to get to Texas
00:09:48.520 I'm not so sure
00:09:49.540 About three years ago
00:09:52.780 A group of
00:09:53.500 Quote
00:09:53.840 Whistleblowers 1.00
00:09:54.920 Went to the FBI
00:09:56.060 Alleging criminal activity
00:09:57.760 By Texas Attorney General
00:09:59.240 Ken Paxton
00:09:59.960 I haven't spoken out
00:10:01.980 About this
00:10:02.700 Even though
00:10:03.240 Ken Paxton's been on the show
00:10:04.600 Several times
00:10:05.400 I think he's a good
00:10:06.560 Attorney General
00:10:08.940 I haven't spoken out
00:10:11.460 Because I haven't
00:10:12.900 I haven't been able
00:10:13.680 To understand
00:10:14.800 What the hell
00:10:15.940 Was even going on
00:10:17.280 Now
00:10:19.060 When you have
00:10:19.740 Three whistleblowers
00:10:20.720 Going in
00:10:21.440 And saying
00:10:21.880 We went to the FBI
00:10:23.140 That sounds bad
00:10:24.400 If you're willing
00:10:26.860 To lob the accusations
00:10:28.540 At a state attorney general
00:10:31.020 To the FBI
00:10:32.180 It's got to
00:10:33.420 I mean you got the receipts
00:10:34.580 Right
00:10:34.900 Now here's what
00:10:37.180 I find interesting
00:10:38.020 The FBI
00:10:39.740 Did not
00:10:40.620 Indict
00:10:41.480 Attorney General Paxton
00:10:42.940 Is there anyone
00:10:44.520 That you think
00:10:45.420 They would like
00:10:47.240 To indict
00:10:47.880 More
00:10:48.720 That isn't
00:10:50.700 In the Trump family
00:10:52.000 He's the guy
00:10:55.060 Who brings
00:10:55.880 This
00:10:56.420 To court
00:10:57.260 Every
00:10:58.160 Single time
00:10:59.460 And usually
00:11:00.280 Wins
00:11:01.040 Against the administration
00:11:02.560 Hmm
00:11:04.800 It's weird
00:11:05.340 The FBI
00:11:05.900 Just didn't
00:11:06.540 Wow
00:11:07.020 That is
00:11:07.720 Strange
00:11:08.720 So after three years
00:11:10.400 The FBI
00:11:11.080 Has got nothing
00:11:11.940 Now
00:11:14.000 A lot has happened
00:11:15.140 In the United States
00:11:16.240 During those three years
00:11:17.320 Biden administration
00:11:18.340 Weaponized the federal government
00:11:19.980 To persecute
00:11:21.100 Their main political
00:11:22.200 Appointment
00:11:22.940 Our opponent
00:11:24.320 They raided his home
00:11:26.400 They indict him
00:11:27.660 It seems like
00:11:28.400 Every other day
00:11:29.360 Except maybe
00:11:30.100 On Wednesdays
00:11:31.360 Both the federal
00:11:32.360 And the state level
00:11:33.620 I don't think
00:11:34.500 I've ever seen
00:11:35.300 Such a gigantic
00:11:36.360 Shift in government
00:11:37.460 Abuse and power
00:11:38.400 In my lifetime
00:11:40.240 But now
00:11:43.620 Let's go back
00:11:44.300 To Ken Paxton
00:11:45.500 Here in Texas
00:11:46.600 Ken has been
00:11:48.280 One of the loudest
00:11:49.200 Critics of the
00:11:49.860 Biden administration
00:11:50.680 He has clearly
00:11:51.880 Drawn a line
00:11:52.760 At the state border
00:11:53.620 Declaring that
00:11:54.400 When it comes
00:11:54.960 To federal overreach
00:11:56.100 State rights 0.82
00:11:57.700 Are still something
00:11:58.580 That exists
00:11:59.220 In the United
00:12:00.040 States of America
00:12:01.640 He is also
00:12:02.820 An ally
00:12:03.440 Of President Trump
00:12:04.700 Both of these
00:12:05.560 Qualities have
00:12:06.240 Proven to be
00:12:06.820 Dangerous in this
00:12:08.020 New era that
00:12:08.640 We now find
00:12:09.240 Ourselves in
00:12:10.040 But the FBI
00:12:12.340 Doesn't have anything
00:12:13.700 After three years
00:12:14.760 But they have
00:12:15.600 Three whistleblowers
00:12:16.640 Here in the state
00:12:17.680 Paxton's
00:12:20.920 State enemies
00:12:22.560 Republicans
00:12:24.140 Have decided
00:12:26.720 That now
00:12:27.380 Is the time
00:12:28.200 To do to him
00:12:29.720 What they're doing
00:12:30.460 To Donald Trump
00:12:31.460 So it is a
00:12:33.560 Rhino Republican
00:12:35.060 And Democratic
00:12:35.980 Effort to impeach
00:12:37.320 Him
00:12:37.620 Now that was
00:12:39.220 Successful
00:12:39.960 But the process
00:12:41.180 Was a little
00:12:41.960 Unusual
00:12:42.720 A little strange
00:12:43.760 A little strange
00:12:44.640 The vote was
00:12:47.760 Pushed through
00:12:48.520 Without considering
00:12:50.080 Any of the
00:12:50.720 Direct evidence
00:12:51.580 Direct evidence
00:12:53.400 What director
00:12:54.300 No
00:12:54.640 Just impeach him
00:12:55.720 They didn't
00:12:57.000 Allow the
00:12:57.540 Legislature to
00:12:58.420 Interview and
00:12:59.240 Cross-examine
00:13:00.000 Witnesses
00:13:00.940 Without placing
00:13:03.120 Witnesses under
00:13:04.100 Oath
00:13:04.540 Without allowing
00:13:05.640 Members to
00:13:06.300 Talk to
00:13:07.000 Investigators
00:13:07.940 Without making
00:13:09.380 Witness transcripts
00:13:10.900 Available to
00:13:11.540 Legislature
00:13:11.960 Without subpoenaing
00:13:14.420 Any witnesses
00:13:15.380 With direct
00:13:16.160 Knowledge of
00:13:16.940 Any of the
00:13:17.600 Allegations
00:13:18.400 And without
00:13:19.560 Allowing Ken
00:13:20.260 Paxton to
00:13:20.860 Argue in
00:13:21.360 His defense
00:13:21.980 Wow
00:13:23.560 That seems
00:13:24.540 Like
00:13:25.120 I don't
00:13:26.660 Know
00:13:26.860 Soviet
00:13:27.320 Union
00:13:27.800 1952
00:13:29.080 The
00:13:31.820 Attorney
00:13:32.180 General
00:13:32.700 Been
00:13:34.940 Standing
00:13:35.340 Up
00:13:35.680 He has
00:13:38.120 Been
00:13:38.380 Now
00:13:38.820 Impeached
00:13:39.700 Based
00:13:40.260 On
00:13:40.620 Accusation
00:13:41.840 On
00:13:42.640 Hearsay
00:13:43.480 Rumor
00:13:44.460 And
00:13:45.200 Speculation
00:13:46.080 Now the
00:13:47.160 Impeachment
00:13:47.620 Trial
00:13:48.340 Has
00:13:49.340 Just
00:13:49.640 Started
00:13:50.100 It
00:13:51.720 Got
00:13:51.980 Under
00:13:52.220 Way
00:13:52.580 Last
00:13:53.140 Week
00:13:53.580 And
00:13:54.080 For
00:13:54.260 The
00:13:54.420 First
00:13:54.920 Time
00:13:55.360 We
00:13:55.700 Finally
00:13:56.100 Have
00:13:56.320 Heard
00:13:56.480 Arguments
00:13:56.920 From
00:13:57.220 His
00:13:57.700 Side
00:13:58.200 Now
00:14:00.240 The
00:14:00.780 Problem
00:14:01.280 Started
00:14:01.860 For
00:14:02.560 Me
00:14:02.960 When
00:14:03.280 The
00:14:03.480 Whistleblowers 1.00
00:14:04.360 Went
00:14:04.800 To
00:14:04.980 The
00:14:05.140 FBI
00:14:05.760 And
00:14:06.240 The
00:14:06.380 FBI
00:14:06.760 Didn't
00:14:07.260 Indict
00:14:07.800 This
00:14:08.800 Thing
00:14:09.740 That
00:14:10.000 We
00:14:10.120 Don't
00:14:10.300 Really
00:14:10.580 Know
00:14:10.800 What
00:14:11.080 It
00:14:11.220 Is 0.88
00:14:11.600 That
00:14:11.760 Is 0.88
00:14:11.880 So
00:14:12.040 Serious
00:14:12.600 And
00:14:12.820 Impeachable
00:14:13.520 I
00:14:14.500 Want
00:14:14.700 You
00:14:14.820 To
00:14:14.980 Listen
00:14:15.260 To

00:14:16.280 Between
00:14:16.920 Paxton's
00:14:17.900 Attorney
00:14:18.420 And
00:14:19.020 One
00:14:19.740 Of
00:14:19.940 The
00:14:20.200 Impeachment
00:14:21.000 Witnesses

00:14:23.120 Let
00:14:23.660 Let
00:14:23.820 Let
00:14:24.580 Me
00:14:25.520 Get
00:14:26.680 This
00:14:26.880 Straight
00:14:27.120 You
00:14:27.940 Went
00:14:28.100 To
00:14:28.200 The
00:14:28.320 FBI
00:14:28.680 And

00:14:32.900 I
00:14:32.980 Have
00:14:33.120 That
00:14:33.260 Correct
00:14:33.600 We
00:14:36.400 Went
00:14:36.620 To
00:14:36.740 The

00:14:41.620 Had
00:14:41.840 Occurred
00:14:42.320 That
00:14:42.480 Was
00:14:42.640 Not
00:14:42.820 My
00:14:42.980 Question
00:14:43.300 That
00:14:44.160 Witnesses

00:15:49.280 was he pointed out that the rhino that is the head of the legislature was giving the seats
00:15:55.980 to the democrats giving chairmanships to the democrats which is a long-term rhino thing to
00:16:04.900 do here in texas and he spoke out and said what the hell are we doing why should the people even
00:16:09.820 vote for a republican well that was just too much now everybody i have spoken to and this is what

00:18:37.440 dog many different kinds of supplements over the years she would eat just a little bit of it but not
00:18:43.260 very much usually she was just kind of shying away from it when it comes to rough greens not only does
00:18:49.120 she eat enthusiastically she finishes by licking the bowl clean she has more energy now and it's a treat

00:20:20.740 to get i urge you especially if you are in law enforcement of any kind i urge you please read the
00:20:30.520 book ordinary men came out in the 1950s it's about how easy it is to get people to do unbelievably bad
00:20:41.180 things it was a study of the polish police which were had the highest standards and became the most
00:20:48.820 brutal and scientists went back and interviewed and tried to figure out what did it take to do that
00:20:57.340 the answer was very little
00:20:59.640 either the constitution the declaration of independence and the bill of rights are sacred
00:21:13.760 or they are not
00:21:16.140 which is it
00:21:20.120 too many of us don't even know it we don't know the constitution we don't know the bill of rights
00:21:31.860 and you know what we've already lost two generations gang we've lost two generations
00:21:38.480 i was thinking about it today as i'm doing something on september 11th next hour
00:21:44.740 and i i urge you to listen because i went over the things that i said on 9-11 and i'm not sure they're true anymore
00:21:54.560 and all we have to do is just rededicate ourselves
00:22:01.880 or it is going to be too late
00:22:07.920 glenn we all love the constitution don't you dare say anything beyond that
00:22:17.060 but
00:22:19.000 there is
00:22:21.280 no
00:22:22.160 but
00:22:23.080 you're either all in
00:22:25.660 or you're not
00:22:27.400 there's no more room

00:22:35.260 or not
00:22:36.060 back in just a second

00:24:09.000 the democratic governor of new mexico said she expects legal challenges but was compelled to act
00:24:26.660 because of recent shootings including the death of an 11 year old boy outside a minor league baseball stadium this week
00:24:33.680 she said the state police are going to be responsible for enforcing what amounts to civil violations
00:24:41.000 i urge the state police
00:24:44.900 in new mexico and every state police officer every local police officer every sheriff
00:24:51.880 please
00:24:53.480 reread your oath
00:24:56.060 read the constitution and the bill of rights
00:24:59.400 and also read ordinary men
00:25:02.900 please
00:25:04.040 so the state police are going to do it because
00:25:08.420 i can't believe this this is great
00:25:10.980 the albuquerque police chief harold medina said i'm not enforcing this
00:25:15.480 and uh what is it bernalillo uh bernalillo county sheriff john allen
00:25:23.860 said i'm uneasy about it because it raises too many questions about
00:25:29.200 constitutional rights you're uneasy about it
00:25:32.380 i may want to do things
00:25:37.820 me as a human i may want to do things
00:25:43.740 but there are certain things that god granted all people that i am sworn to never violate
00:25:52.940 stop being so mamby-pamby 0.89
00:25:56.120 wussy 0.96
00:25:57.280 step to the plate
00:25:59.660 you can say i feel uneasy because
00:26:04.040 but then step to the plate
00:26:06.580 this is a violation of god-given rights
00:26:12.280 now let me ask you
00:26:13.460 why is it only 30 days
00:26:16.000 why'd she only do this for 30 days 0.78
00:26:17.760 just to take a breather
00:26:19.340 we all have to take a breather
00:26:21.320 no
00:26:22.220 i think
00:26:25.700 she picked 30 days because it won't have time
00:26:30.300 to get through court
00:26:32.140 and so if it's not challenged in court
00:26:35.920 does it stand
00:26:37.500 if it's just temporary
00:26:39.980 does it stand or not
00:26:42.740 i don't know
00:26:43.640 she did it
00:26:44.960 got away with it
00:26:46.000 it didn't go to court
00:26:48.660 this must go to court
00:26:52.600 all the way to the supreme court
00:26:54.240 30 days 30 seconds
00:26:56.520 you cannot violate the constitution
00:26:59.120 yes or no
00:27:01.020 it cannot be
00:27:03.760 ambiguous
00:27:04.860 and i think that's why
00:27:07.100 she did it
00:27:08.660 now listen to this story
00:27:10.360 sunday afternoon
00:27:13.040 dozens of
00:27:14.260 gun rights
00:27:15.620 activists
00:27:16.520 gathered in old town
00:27:18.640 albuquerque
00:27:19.300 to voice their displeasure
00:27:20.840 gun rights
00:27:22.820 activists
00:27:23.740 were they flown in
00:27:26.440 from the nra
00:27:27.340 or
00:27:27.940 or gun owners of america
00:27:30.460 who are who are these people
00:27:31.960 or are they just
00:27:34.900 americans
00:27:35.920 concerned about the violation
00:27:37.720 of their civil civil rights
00:27:39.480 there is a difference
00:27:41.000 between an activist
00:27:42.340 and a standard citizen
00:27:45.040 standing up and going
00:27:46.080 no
00:27:46.660 but if they if they tag you
00:27:50.700 as an activist
00:27:51.400 you don't want to be an activist
00:27:52.440 i don't want to be an activist
00:27:53.660 last thing i want to be
00:27:56.380 as an activist
00:27:56.960 i would just
00:27:58.140 like people to leave me
00:28:00.120 my business
00:28:00.980 my family
00:28:01.940 alone
00:28:02.760 and do the same
00:28:04.840 for other
00:28:05.460 businesses
00:28:06.380 families
00:28:07.460 and citizens
00:28:08.720 leave
00:28:10.240 us
00:28:11.080 alone
00:28:12.220 protesters
00:28:15.240 proudly displayed
00:28:16.580 american
00:28:17.600 gadston
00:28:18.560 and come and take it
00:28:20.140 flags
00:28:20.760 a man was holding a sign
00:28:22.420 addressed to grisham
00:28:23.400 that read
00:28:24.100 our founding fathers
00:28:25.540 warned us about you
00:28:27.180 a woman was holding 0.95
00:28:29.260 a sign that stated
00:28:30.340 gun rights
00:28:31.380 are women's rights 0.88
00:28:32.900 so far
00:28:33.860 those signs
00:28:35.100 100% accurate
00:28:37.080 a demonstrator
00:28:38.940 proclaimed
00:28:39.560 this will not
00:28:40.740 stand
00:28:41.340 we will not
00:28:42.360 comply
00:28:43.100 good
00:28:44.180 a woman identifying
00:28:45.900 as an indigenous
00:28:47.620 person
00:28:48.460 oh god
00:28:51.820 a woman identifying
00:28:55.440 as an indigenous
00:28:56.640 person told the crowd
00:28:58.080 the law doesn't
00:28:59.540 protect us
00:29:00.720 right
00:29:03.760 another woman 0.89
00:29:05.320 we don't know what
00:29:06.460 color she is
00:29:07.400 we had to identify the
00:29:09.080 one indigenous person
00:29:10.340 everyone else
00:29:11.160 will let you assume
00:29:12.820 whatever race you think
00:29:14.280 is really bad
00:29:15.580 whites
00:29:17.160 another white woman 0.60
00:29:19.340 another woman said 0.79
00:29:20.500 our rights come from
00:29:21.620 god and our
00:29:22.320 privileges come from
00:29:23.600 government
00:29:24.200 one speaker
00:29:27.240 at the armed
00:29:28.700 rally in albuquerque
00:29:29.900 defying the gun
00:29:31.640 carrying ban
00:29:32.360 told the crowd
00:29:33.000 they need to go out
00:29:34.120 and do this every day
00:29:35.220 or else it wouldn't
00:29:36.200 have an impact
00:29:37.100 there was one
00:29:39.200 anti-gun
00:29:40.120 demonstrator
00:29:41.080 wearing a
00:29:42.480 mask
00:29:43.160 but the gun
00:29:44.800 activists gave him
00:29:45.640 a chance to speak
00:29:46.500 and then attempted
00:29:47.180 to refute his
00:29:48.020 claims
00:29:48.400 oh
00:29:49.120 so they believed
00:29:50.580 in free speech
00:29:51.540 too
00:29:52.040 hmm
00:29:53.100 the senate
00:29:56.580 the state
00:29:58.040 must justify
00:29:59.660 the carry
00:30:01.140 prohibition
00:30:02.500 by demonstrating
00:30:03.380 that it is
00:30:04.020 consistent with
00:30:04.860 the nation's
00:30:05.400 historic tradition
00:30:06.480 of firearm
00:30:07.120 regulation
00:30:07.960 but it is
00:30:10.520 impossible for
00:30:11.380 the state to
00:30:12.000 meet this burden
00:30:12.880 because there is
00:30:14.360 no such
00:30:15.020 historic tradition
00:30:16.140 of firearms
00:30:16.760 regulation in
00:30:17.780 the nation
00:30:18.380 this according
00:30:18.980 to a new
00:30:19.420 lawsuit
00:30:20.020 throughout the
00:30:21.760 suit
00:30:22.000 the plaintiff
00:30:22.720 cite a 22
00:30:23.640 supreme court
00:30:24.780 decision
00:30:25.300 that struck
00:30:26.460 down the
00:30:26.820 new york
00:30:27.120 gun law
00:30:27.720 good
00:30:29.180 ron de santis
00:30:30.820 ripped it
00:30:31.880 ron de santis
00:30:33.460 came out and
00:30:34.040 said she
00:30:34.460 she's now
00:30:35.340 asserting the
00:30:35.940 power to
00:30:36.500 infringe on a
00:30:37.180 second amendment
00:30:37.700 right by
00:30:38.680 executive fiat
00:30:39.900 an assertation
00:30:40.980 is not surprising
00:30:42.080 like this
00:30:42.700 since 2020
00:30:43.660 public health
00:30:45.280 has become
00:30:45.780 the pretext
00:30:46.640 for depriving
00:30:47.520 citizens of
00:30:48.620 civil liberties
00:30:49.340 and trampling
00:30:50.080 on our
00:30:50.440 constitutional
00:30:51.140 rights
00:30:51.800 it ends
00:30:53.000 when i'm
00:30:53.620 president
00:30:54.080 your second
00:30:54.880 amendment
00:30:55.320 shall not
00:30:56.640 be infringed
00:30:58.240 amen
00:30:59.740 jonathan turley
00:31:02.240 said this is
00:31:02.900 absolutely
00:31:03.440 unconstitutional
00:31:04.600 can i add a
00:31:06.180 couple things
00:31:06.520 to this glenn
00:31:06.980 yeah
00:31:07.360 uh ted
00:31:08.460 lew
00:31:08.800 the congressman
00:31:10.620 yeah
00:31:11.060 democrat
00:31:11.620 we would
00:31:12.200 agree on
00:31:12.540 him on
00:31:12.860 basically
00:31:13.480 nothing
00:31:13.940 and he
00:31:14.780 would support
00:31:16.060 all sorts
00:31:16.880 of gun
00:31:17.240 laws that
00:31:17.780 we would
00:31:18.200 consider
00:31:18.600 unconstitutional
00:31:19.400 so this is
00:31:19.840 not someone
00:31:20.220 coming from
00:31:20.600 our side
00:31:20.960 of the
00:31:21.120 argument
00:31:21.400 he wrote
00:31:22.160 about this
00:31:22.580 i support
00:31:23.780 gun safety
00:31:24.300 laws
00:31:24.620 however
00:31:25.040 this order
00:31:25.840 from the
00:31:26.160 governor
00:31:26.400 of new
00:31:26.680 mexico
00:31:27.000 violates
00:31:27.680 the u.s
00:31:28.100 constitution
00:31:28.740 no state
00:31:29.760 in the union
00:31:30.180 can suspend
00:31:30.980 the federal
00:31:31.580 constitution
00:31:32.240 there is
00:31:33.160 no such
00:31:33.660 thing as
00:31:34.100 a state
00:31:34.600 public health
00:31:35.360 emergency
00:31:35.940 exception to
00:31:36.860 the u.s
00:31:37.280 constitution
00:31:37.900 huh
00:31:38.580 now i feel
00:31:40.840 like a lot
00:31:41.180 of democrats
00:31:41.560 for the last
00:31:42.140 three years
00:31:42.580 have been
00:31:42.840 telling us
00:31:43.160 there very
00:31:43.620 much is
00:31:44.100 a public
00:31:44.540 health
00:31:44.820 exception to
00:31:45.420 the u.s
00:31:45.720 constitution
00:31:46.200 however you
00:31:47.900 know i think
00:31:48.540 it's important
00:31:49.000 to when
00:31:49.920 someone is
00:31:50.360 right to
00:31:50.780 point out
00:31:51.080 that they're
00:31:51.420 right and
00:31:52.100 notice what
00:31:52.600 he said
00:31:52.920 though it's
00:31:54.300 a federal
00:31:55.140 constitution so
00:31:56.360 no state
00:31:57.520 can override
00:31:59.280 uh the
00:32:00.440 federal
00:32:00.980 constitution he
00:32:02.100 didn't say
00:32:02.680 the feds
00:32:03.540 can't
00:32:03.920 override
00:32:04.440 it
00:32:04.700 yeah
00:32:05.060 no and
00:32:05.920 believe me we
00:32:06.940 would disagree
00:32:07.560 with him on
00:32:08.060 tons of stuff
00:32:08.520 right but it
00:32:09.020 is true that
00:32:09.940 the state
00:32:10.420 cannot override
00:32:11.340 it and it's
00:32:11.740 important because
00:32:12.980 there have been
00:32:13.560 time i mean you
00:32:14.500 know you go back
00:32:14.960 in history you
00:32:15.480 find plenty of
00:32:16.040 times where
00:32:16.660 uh things were
00:32:17.780 uh done to the
00:32:19.260 u.s constitution
00:32:19.800 that i would not
00:32:20.360 approve of at the
00:32:21.680 federal level but
00:32:23.100 the state certainly
00:32:23.760 can't do it uh
00:32:24.840 so wait a minute
00:32:25.380 so so i don't
00:32:26.660 understand this
00:32:27.300 problem are you
00:32:28.020 saying that if
00:32:29.800 there's a federal
00:32:30.560 law let's say
00:32:31.900 on
00:32:32.600 i don't know
00:32:34.480 marijuana or
00:32:36.280 um gee let me
00:32:37.800 think of another
00:32:38.380 one uh immigration
00:32:40.140 status that it
00:32:42.620 causes a problem
00:32:44.140 when the state or
00:32:46.080 the cities disagree
00:32:47.860 with the feds and
00:32:49.120 just go their own
00:32:50.080 way yeah you can't
00:32:51.260 do that huh you
00:32:52.160 can't do that huh
00:32:53.120 and this is a
00:32:54.160 an increasing
00:32:55.440 tactic done by the
00:32:57.840 left you mentioned
00:32:58.600 one tactic that
00:32:59.600 they've attempted
00:33:00.180 which is this idea
00:33:01.380 of passing these
00:33:02.060 crazy laws they
00:33:02.820 know are
00:33:03.180 unconstitutional but
00:33:04.520 passing them for
00:33:05.120 short periods of
00:33:05.860 time the exact
00:33:07.320 ruling that came
00:33:08.000 out from new
00:33:08.620 york what was it
00:33:09.140 last year was
00:33:10.660 that was a
00:33:11.380 situation where
00:33:11.920 this occurred they
00:33:12.520 passed a gun law
00:33:13.420 they knew i mean
00:33:14.420 they had to have
00:33:15.120 known it was
00:33:15.480 unconstitutional it
00:33:16.420 was blatantly
00:33:17.040 unconstitutional and
00:33:18.720 what they tried to
00:33:19.540 do when they
00:33:19.940 realized it got
00:33:20.580 taken up to the
00:33:21.200 court they tried
00:33:21.800 to fight it on
00:33:22.500 all the lower
00:33:22.920 levels to try to
00:33:24.200 say oh well you
00:33:25.260 know for this
00:33:26.240 reason it shouldn't
00:33:27.060 you know shouldn't
00:33:27.600 go to court and
00:33:28.240 they tried to win
00:33:28.840 all those early
00:33:29.440 rulings they
00:33:30.740 didn't they lost
00:33:31.800 them all and once
00:33:32.500 they lost them all
00:33:33.140 they basically
00:33:33.900 nullified their own
00:33:34.660 law they withdrew
00:33:35.800 the law hoping
00:33:37.060 that the court
00:33:37.580 would say well the
00:33:38.280 law doesn't exist
00:33:38.980 anymore so we
00:33:39.560 can't rule on it
00:33:40.400 and the court to
00:33:41.900 their credit said
00:33:42.760 no that's not
00:33:43.800 going to work we're
00:33:44.460 going to talk about
00:33:45.200 this anyway even
00:33:45.940 though it's now
00:33:46.660 supposedly moot
00:33:47.760 because you ran
00:33:49.100 away from the
00:33:49.680 courts it's only
00:33:50.700 moot it's only
00:33:52.660 moot if you can
00:33:53.800 stop the court from
00:33:55.580 ruling on it then
00:33:57.060 you can try it
00:33:57.720 again
00:33:58.020 yep and again
00:33:59.160 and again and
00:33:59.700 again so that is
00:34:00.460 what she's trying
00:34:01.120 to do here I
00:34:01.980 believe I am
00:34:03.060 telling you we
00:34:04.200 are and I've
00:34:05.320 said this now for
00:34:06.840 four years or so
00:34:08.540 we're one
00:34:10.680 emergency away
00:34:12.280 we're one
00:34:14.720 emergency away
00:34:16.060 all that has to
00:34:18.100 happen and it's
00:34:18.760 got to be a major
00:34:19.400 one but we are a
00:34:20.940 September 11th
00:34:22.240 away from all
00:34:25.140 of this going
00:34:26.660 away and what
00:34:27.540 they're trying to
00:34:28.060 do now is just
00:34:28.780 manufacture those
00:34:29.700 September 11th out
00:34:30.800 of things like gun
00:34:31.740 violence problems or
00:34:33.740 climate change issues
00:34:35.460 the attack on the
00:34:36.380 capital which every
00:34:37.440 American was against 0.82
00:34:38.920 you know look at
00:34:40.620 this George Floyd
00:34:42.440 every American was
00:34:45.400 against what
00:34:46.080 happened every
00:34:46.840 American I don't 1.00
00:34:47.740 know anyone who
00:34:49.700 said oh no he was
00:34:51.160 right the cop was
00:34:52.500 right no I don't
00:34:54.700 know a single
00:34:55.440 one and they
00:34:56.760 used that to
00:34:57.840 divide us even
00:34:58.820 though there was
00:34:59.680 no division none
00:35:01.980 none whatsoever
00:35:03.940 they they not
00:35:06.680 only manufacture
00:35:08.440 things but then
00:35:10.480 when we're all in
00:35:12.260 alignment they
00:35:13.800 still manufacture the
00:35:15.740 division
00:35:16.400 and going back to
00:35:20.760 January 6th here
00:35:21.500 Glenn let me ask
00:35:23.260 you this question
00:35:23.760 and I mean this
00:35:24.340 sincerely what's the
00:35:26.180 real insurrection
00:35:26.900 is it a bunch of
00:35:29.300 idiots in horn hats
00:35:31.220 ransacking the
00:35:32.700 capital or is it
00:35:34.380 our a governor of a
00:35:36.280 state overturning the
00:35:38.100 second amendment by
00:35:39.320 yourself is it the
00:35:41.040 federal government
00:35:41.780 saying you know what
00:35:42.920 five hundred billion
00:35:44.620 dollars of student
00:35:45.400 loans kapoof there's
00:35:47.620 gone forever is it
00:35:49.580 the eviction moratorium
00:35:51.200 that they just
00:35:52.100 implemented which one
00:35:54.740 is really challenging
00:35:55.880 our our civilization as
00:35:58.560 it stands there's
00:35:59.340 which one is doing it
00:36:00.100 they're saying that
00:36:00.940 September I'm sorry
00:36:02.300 January 6th we which
00:36:04.820 we were all united on
00:36:06.220 and still are pretty
00:36:08.480 united now the gray
00:36:09.640 areas have started to
00:36:10.820 come because of the
00:36:12.020 way the FBI has
00:36:13.220 handled this but
00:36:14.880 none of us are
00:36:16.420 against the people 0.98
00:36:17.080 who are breaking the
00:36:18.120 glass and the
00:36:18.940 windows and tearing
00:36:20.460 everything up and
00:36:21.380 came in hoods and
00:36:22.280 helmets and everything
00:36:23.000 else we're none of us
00:36:24.540 are against none of us
00:36:25.820 are for that but what
00:36:28.560 they've done since then
00:36:30.200 they say that that
00:36:32.040 group was trying to
00:36:34.060 overthrow the
00:36:35.160 Constitution no Stu is
00:36:38.200 exactly right it's what
00:36:40.780 the courts and the FBI
00:36:42.540 have done now they are
00:36:45.240 causing the constitutional
00:36:46.900 crisis they are the
00:36:49.020 ones that's why you
00:36:50.480 know people like we
00:36:51.220 should succeed no we
00:36:52.340 shouldn't no we
00:36:53.840 shouldn't I stand by our
00:36:57.440 founding documents as
00:36:59.460 written we haven't used
00:37:03.060 them in about a hundred
00:37:04.260 years so don't tell me
00:37:05.480 they failed we haven't
00:37:08.420 used them and beyond
00:37:10.580 not using them now we
00:37:12.700 are in violation of
00:37:14.200 them almost every single
00:37:16.380 day and it's not me I'm
00:37:18.680 not anti-government I am
00:37:21.100 anti-unconstitutional
00:37:23.720 government I'm fine when
00:37:26.760 the government's playing
00:37:28.260 you know in the rules
00:37:30.060 long as they're playing by
00:37:31.540 the rules I'm perfectly
00:37:33.080 fine they're not playing
00:37:34.880 by the rules gang well
00:37:39.340 that's why we've got to
00:37:40.420 not play by the rules no
00:37:41.640 that makes us them how
00:37:44.100 about we try that old
00:37:45.140 dusty document that no
00:37:46.560 one has tried tell me
00:37:49.520 what you want tell me
00:37:51.540 what kind of country you
00:37:53.160 want now if you want a
00:37:55.820 fascistic you want one
00:37:57.680 red led by a strong
00:37:59.220 leader then you're going
00:38:00.560 to have to go away from
00:38:01.400 the Constitution I want
00:38:03.680 people to be free to be
00:38:06.140 left alone to their for
00:38:08.100 there is rule of law that
00:38:12.000 we judge every man justice
00:38:14.240 is blind I want that one 0.97
00:38:18.900 and we already have the
00:38:20.320 formula for that I want
00:38:23.180 that pulled off the shelf
00:38:25.060 and actually applied back in
00:38:29.680 just a minute
00:38:30.120 remember when owning your
00:38:33.820 own home was this
00:38:34.780 wonderful crazy dream that
00:38:35.900 kept you up at night with
00:38:36.740 excitement oh man I can't
00:38:38.160 believe it we just bought
00:38:38.980 our first home you felt
00:38:40.400 like you were going to be
00:38:41.100 crazy rich
00:38:42.160 yeah
00:38:44.120 you know just got to find
00:38:47.340 the right buyer funny
00:38:48.420 sometimes things can be fun
00:38:50.200 and exciting and then turn
00:38:51.340 into a real hassle
00:38:52.500 and that's because the the
00:38:55.360 buying and selling of a home
00:38:57.260 does not have to be so
00:38:59.340 complex and oh such so
00:39:02.120 agonizing just so agonizing

00:39:56.260 join the conversation 888
00:39:59.880 727 back the Glenn back
00:40:02.720 program
00:40:03.300 the problem and the also evil
00:40:19.820 genius of the plan that is
00:40:21.540 trying to be implemented now with
00:40:22.660 the real I think the real
00:40:23.820 insurrection in our country
00:40:25.040 going on right now is they
00:40:26.960 know if they try all these
00:40:28.660 things that are unconstitutional
00:40:29.920 the court will shoot them down
00:40:31.780 most of the time 99 out of 100
00:40:34.080 times maybe but the one time
00:40:36.040 they can get it through like for
00:40:37.240 example forcing everyone in
00:40:38.720 America to purchase health
00:40:40.040 insurance right correct
00:40:41.240 eventually they get one of
00:40:42.320 these things through eventually
00:40:43.400 the court turns their way
00:40:44.540 eventually they find some
00:40:45.740 sympathetic system and they
00:40:48.140 are able to get these things
00:40:49.060 through and it changes the
00:40:50.240 system of our government the
00:40:51.520 loan the loan situation was was
00:40:53.260 the president United States
00:40:54.100 saying the executive branch is
00:40:55.300 now above Congress right and I
00:40:57.600 know that and I know that
00:40:58.940 because Congress because the
00:41:00.500 Constitution does not allow me to
00:41:02.780 do these things Congress only is
00:41:05.460 the only one that has that right
00:41:06.700 I know that and I'm doing it
00:41:08.400 anyway because I'm above Congress
00:41:10.720 and only the courts stood in the
00:41:12.400 way and you know of course the
00:41:13.760 political brilliance of this is when
00:41:15.460 this gets shot down in court the
00:41:17.200 governor of New Mexico will say
00:41:18.780 those darn evil court people the
00:41:20.840 Republicans put in it's their
00:41:22.300 fault that we can't stop gun 0.53
00:41:23.780 violence the Glenn Beck program in
00:41:26.800 the 1960s 95% of the clothing
00:41:29.280 Americans bought was made right 1.00
00:41:30.760 here in America now 97% is made
00:41:34.320 overseas that's remarkable a
00:41:36.960 complete reversal in almost
00:41:38.880 everything that we do American
00:41:41.220 giant is all about American 0.96
00:41:42.920 workers and the products they make
00:41:44.400 it's about good paying jobs that
00:41:45.980 allow people pride in the hard
00:41:47.740 work that they do buy American
00:41:50.320 today from American-giant.com
00:41:53.160 slash Glenn and you know let me be
00:41:55.260 the person who who brings in the
00:41:57.360 sad part of this because you know
00:41:58.380 you of course it's really nice to buy
00:42:00.240 things from America it's really
00:42:01.840 great I mean American
00:42:02.880 manufacturing is important that's
00:42:05.080 not enough to make me buy American
00:42:06.780 by itself I need this stuff to be
00:42:09.340 really good too and that's why
00:42:10.840 American giant is great because
00:42:12.260 it's able to do both of these
00:42:13.460 things right they they support
00:42:15.020 American manufacturing and their
00:42:17.240 stuff is incredible it's the best
00:42:18.620 stuff you'll ever wear I love it my
00:42:20.440 wife loves it I know you love it as

00:43:30.700 program 22 years ago I wrote an essay
00:43:36.420 called the greatest American generation
00:43:39.680 I wrote it because of September 11th I
00:43:45.020 wonder how much of it still remains true
00:43:48.120 you judge in 60 seconds it's important to
00:43:51.480 be on the right side of history and that
00:43:52.840 means taking a stand against the things
00:43:54.980 that you feel are wrong there are
00:43:57.340 different ways to do that some of them
00:43:59.020 come at great personal cost and it's up
00:44:02.240 to you to decide what your personal line
00:44:04.780 is and not every stand you take has to
00:44:07.140 cost you in fact switching to Patriot Mobile

00:45:20.440 22 years ago I wrote a an essay called the
00:45:29.560 greatest American generation I reread it
00:45:33.980 this weekend and wondered how much of
00:45:38.100 that is still true how much of that do I
00:45:41.560 still believe how much has changed
00:45:44.660 here's what I wrote
00:45:48.640 I've always believed that the greatest
00:45:52.640 American generation is the one that is 1.00
00:45:55.700 living in the here and the now the
00:45:59.780 question is not if this is the greatest
00:46:02.600 American generation the question is will 0.81
00:46:06.120 we wake up and become it I remember
00:46:10.860 staying at my grandparents house in the
00:46:12.740 summer when I was small and every morning
00:46:15.700 before before there was even light my
00:46:20.660 grandmother would open up the attic door
00:46:22.980 from downstairs these wooden steps and she
00:46:27.320 say kids it's time to wake up my sister's
00:46:31.960 usually bounded out of bed but I was
00:46:33.640 usually the one that it took her a few
00:46:35.540 times before I lumber out of bed and cross
00:46:38.140 the cold squeaky wooden floor but
00:46:41.460 eventually I would mainly because I could
00:46:45.780 smell breakfast from the attic my
00:46:50.400 grandfather was always outside he was
00:46:52.740 already there I think he had been there
00:46:54.440 since probably four o'clock in the morning
00:46:56.340 feeding the chickens they were hard-working
00:47:00.040 good and decent people growing up seemed to
00:47:06.120 me that they were were from not only a
00:47:08.760 different time but also a different place
00:47:11.200 but they weren't the spirit of our
00:47:18.420 parents and our grandparents isn't from
00:47:20.920 some foreign place it hasn't died out we've
00:47:25.820 just not attended to it it's a flame that
00:47:31.120 flickers in all of us and it is there ready
00:47:34.980 to blaze again to life when we're ready to
00:47:38.840 face the challenges that now lie at our
00:47:41.320 feet it's what sets us apart it's what built
00:47:49.000 this country the average person did not
00:47:54.100 cross the Rocky Mountains I would have
00:47:56.620 never done it I don't know what that says
00:47:59.680 about me but I would have looked at those
00:48:01.120 mountains I would have looked honestly at
00:48:03.180 the Missouri River and said nope not
00:48:05.060 crossing that no bridge build a bridge I'll
00:48:07.980 be back the Rocky Mountains not a shot
00:48:11.880 but people did it this is what sets us apart
00:48:19.320 it's what built us it's why our borders
00:48:22.380 still team with the poor and the tired and
00:48:28.020 those yearning to be breathe free I don't
00:48:33.500 know about the people crossing our border
00:48:35.440 now but those immigrants that came to our 0.76
00:48:42.100 shores across our border crossing an ocean
00:48:45.060 most likely they were your relatives they
00:48:51.520 were my relatives coming here in the 18 in
00:48:55.520 the 1900s they were searching for a better
00:49:00.860 way of life the flame that Lady Liberty holds
00:49:07.740 is the we deem it the American spirit and it is
00:49:14.860 supposed to burn inside all of us no matter
00:49:17.260 what our race our gender our religious
00:49:20.040 background but it actually was originally
00:49:24.540 built as a reminder to the people of Europe
00:49:27.320 of the freedoms that allowed America to
00:49:31.500 capture the creativity of human spirit
00:49:35.700 the flame that she holds is called
00:49:39.860 imprisoned lightning and it's a salute to
00:49:44.020 the invention of the light bulb perhaps
00:49:47.000 the greatest invention of all time it turned
00:49:50.780 darkness into light something that before
00:49:55.040 Edison was truly in the realm of God
00:49:59.040 but now so much of what we have and
00:50:04.860 experience today it's it's just expected
00:50:09.000 it's normal it's humdrum but it isn't
00:50:13.960 everything around us is truly as miraculous
00:50:19.380 as the imprisoned lightning because it all
00:50:23.360 started with an idea the world is watching
00:50:31.220 us it's not new it always has been watching
00:50:36.600 us since the dawn of man people dreamt of a
00:50:40.500 better life dreamt of a better way dreamt of
00:50:44.300 being free they looked for Camelot where a
00:50:48.580 king wouldn't slaughter them and take
00:50:51.100 everything they can but Camelot was a dream
00:50:54.600 it was the iron fist of the king and all
00:50:58.680 those he found favor with who lorded
00:51:02.420 lorded their station above us and crushed
00:51:06.460 the dream of bettering oneself and owning
00:51:09.200 a just a small patch of land that was
00:51:11.800 theirs that I could follow my heart and my
00:51:15.240 passions man it seems needed an ocean
00:51:25.820 between the old ways and new ideas
00:51:31.180 that ocean is as small as a
00:51:42.680 a backyard pond now and there is no other
00:51:50.700 place to go
00:51:51.940 it was Americans that finally found a way to 0.99
00:51:59.580 build a better tomorrow for the individual
00:52:03.000 no promises
00:52:04.480 just an honest effort
00:52:08.100 out of all that we have built the powerful
00:52:12.860 machines the computers the weapons of mass
00:52:15.720 destruction the hardware and the software
00:52:18.500 that we spend millions on every year to
00:52:20.920 protect and keep our plans secret
00:52:23.940 our biggest secret seems to be the one that
00:52:31.820 the world wants most of all
00:52:34.000 is not a secret
00:52:37.420 it is something we used to freely give to the
00:52:45.700 rest of the world but now it seems we're so
00:52:48.820 arrogant we act as if it is a secret and
00:52:52.720 we jam it down everybody's throat
00:52:54.900 it was the self-evident truths that all men are
00:53:03.880 created equal for some reason that hasn't
00:53:06.260 been really fully duplicated anywhere else
00:53:09.160 it's influenced so many countries around the
00:53:12.640 world
00:53:13.000 it can't even be passed on from person to
00:53:18.320 person
00:53:18.740 let me say that again it cannot be passed on
00:53:25.760 from person to person torch to torch
00:53:29.320 it has to be earned it has to be lovingly
00:53:36.240 taught
00:53:37.080 that's how you gain the american spirit
00:53:42.140 22 years ago we were lucky enough not to
00:53:49.280 be trapped in one of those towers or on a
00:53:51.880 plane or in the pentagon
00:53:53.420 when is the last time you gave thanks for
00:53:58.020 the last 20 years
00:53:59.360 not for our lives
00:54:02.020 but for the ability to have more time to
00:54:07.680 change our ways
00:54:10.020 god has not forsaken us
00:54:15.980 this is so crucial that we understand
00:54:20.580 he has been trying to awaken us he has been
00:54:26.300 standing at the bottom of the stairs and
00:54:28.840 gently calling out kids it is time to wake
00:54:32.680 up we've been given another chance and we
00:54:36.600 don't get up we got up for a few minutes and
00:54:39.660 then fell back to sleep after 9 11 and then
00:54:43.640 we had the crash of 08 kids wake up
00:54:47.560 then we've had everything from 2016 to today
00:54:54.060 over and over and over it seems like every
00:54:56.760 day he's like get up
00:54:59.280 when and what will it take for us to
00:55:08.440 actually get up and begin a new day
00:55:11.740 thousands of years ago in babble the great
00:55:19.340 civilization and
00:55:20.420 in their arrogance built a tower to reach
00:55:23.340 the sky they wanted to be god
00:55:25.520 it didn't just crumble
00:55:29.700 god destroyed it not out of anger but
00:55:34.140 out of love
00:55:35.180 he is god we are not the people were
00:55:42.860 scattered
00:55:43.360 our symbols of power and wealth
00:55:51.400 crumbled before our eyes
00:55:54.200 on that tuesday 20 plus years ago
00:55:58.480 but what did we do we built a bigger
00:56:05.420 tower
00:56:05.840 we sought vengeance
00:56:10.300 justice and then i don't know what
00:56:15.360 happened to us
00:56:16.280 i wrote at the time americans aren't
00:56:21.400 ever going to scatter let the world
00:56:23.820 recognize through our actions today
00:56:25.660 that those firefighters in new york are
00:56:27.780 not the exception they are the rule
00:56:29.820 because americans don't run from
00:56:32.420 burning buildings we run into them
00:56:34.780 is that still true
00:56:37.280 it was a beautiful fall morning
00:56:44.320 right on the edge of the land created
00:56:49.120 through divine providence
00:56:50.500 our little coffee shops
00:56:55.420 were open
00:56:56.860 children were on buses
00:56:58.420 people were in the subway
00:57:01.020 people were in the streets
00:57:02.520 some were just standing on the sidewalk
00:57:06.400 soaking up that sun
00:57:07.900 people were easing into another
00:57:11.740 typical work day
00:57:12.940 when america's greatest generation
00:57:17.760 heard the voice
00:57:18.580 kids
00:57:19.580 it's time to wake up
00:57:21.740 the task before us now is much more
00:57:32.180 daunting than what our grandparents
00:57:33.940 and parents faced
00:57:35.020 we must be stronger
00:57:38.000 we must be
00:57:41.380 personally
00:57:42.360 spiritually
00:57:44.580 physically
00:57:45.560 temporally
00:57:46.540 prepared
00:57:47.340 because the torch has
00:57:49.940 passed to us
00:57:51.300 will we be the greatest
00:57:54.260 american generation
00:57:55.440 or not
00:57:56.340 will the american experiment
00:57:58.620 die
00:57:59.700 with us
00:58:01.220 or blaze
00:58:03.280 again
00:58:04.020 more in a minute
00:58:16.720 the days finally come to
00:58:19.080 to a close
00:58:20.340 and you ease yourself down into bed
00:58:21.780 and then you stare up at the ceiling
00:58:22.940 what
00:58:23.280 okay what do i have to do
00:58:24.480 i gotta do this tomorrow
00:58:25.520 and i should write that down
00:58:27.000 okay so you're sitting there
00:58:29.740 and then
00:58:30.960 you think
00:58:31.880 i have to do all of this tomorrow
00:58:33.620 in pain
00:58:34.460 in pain
00:58:35.760 millions of americans
00:58:37.320 deal with the pain in their lives

00:59:37.340 the feeling
00:59:40.600 in the country
00:59:41.440 was i want
00:59:42.480 something to do
00:59:43.620 what do i do
00:59:44.720 what do i do
00:59:45.700 and the president
00:59:47.100 said
00:59:47.720 go shopping
00:59:49.860 your patriotic
00:59:51.360 duty
00:59:51.820 was to go
00:59:53.760 shopping
00:59:54.500 i was so offended
00:59:58.840 by that
00:59:59.440 i remember
01:00:00.340 in the time
01:00:00.880 of world war ii
01:00:01.800 my grandparents
01:00:03.320 and my mom
01:00:04.340 my dad
01:00:05.160 would go out
01:00:05.860 and they'd gather
01:00:06.400 scrap metal
01:00:07.280 from the neighborhood
01:00:08.060 ours
01:00:11.140 was to go
01:00:12.020 shopping
01:00:12.720 we have given up
01:00:21.340 so many freedoms
01:00:22.780 we have given
01:00:23.820 broad power
01:00:25.140 to the government
01:00:26.380 in the name of safety
01:00:27.740 well we better not
01:00:29.160 get onto the plane
01:00:30.020 that tsa is there
01:00:31.420 because they want
01:00:31.920 to make sure
01:00:32.500 that they get
01:00:33.340 muslim extremists
01:00:35.380 when's the last time
01:00:37.540 you heard that
01:00:38.240 now you may be
01:00:40.820 the extremist
01:00:41.800 drones are flying
01:00:44.200 over our cities
01:00:45.060 the department
01:00:45.580 of agriculture
01:00:46.260 has its own
01:00:46.960 SWAT team
01:00:48.120 the president
01:00:49.340 of the united
01:00:49.860 states is about
01:00:50.700 to forgive
01:00:51.360 all student loans
01:00:53.000 putting himself
01:00:54.320 knowingly above
01:00:55.580 congress
01:00:56.120 for the first time
01:00:57.300 we're threatening
01:00:57.720 to put a former
01:00:58.640 president in prison
01:01:00.100 along with his
01:01:01.880 attorneys
01:01:02.700 for questioning
01:01:04.640 election results
01:01:05.940 something that was
01:01:07.220 done every election
01:01:08.600 by the same people
01:01:09.780 who questioned
01:01:10.520 every election
01:01:11.880 they lost
01:01:12.540 since 2020
01:01:13.480 they're now
01:01:14.580 screaming lock 0.96
01:01:15.520 him up
01:01:15.920 for doing what
01:01:16.860 Al Gore's
01:01:17.640 attorneys did 0.50
01:01:18.440 legally
01:01:19.100 in 2000
01:01:20.580 it is legal
01:01:22.260 when was the last
01:01:26.240 time you ever saw
01:01:27.000 a defendant's
01:01:27.960 attorneys
01:01:28.700 go to jail
01:01:30.300 I don't know
01:01:31.620 if I've ever
01:01:32.260 seen that
01:01:33.040 you can now
01:01:35.620 scoop Americans 0.99
01:01:36.500 right off the street
01:01:37.480 without a warrant
01:01:38.200 or trial
01:01:38.800 we know they
01:01:40.020 eavesdrop on every
01:01:41.100 keystroke
01:01:42.300 or every utterance
01:01:43.500 let's not forget
01:01:45.140 that in Utah
01:01:46.000 the NSA
01:01:46.840 has a storage
01:01:47.720 facility for data
01:01:48.800 holding all of
01:01:49.600 their phone calls
01:01:50.400 emails
01:01:50.900 and electronic
01:01:51.640 surveillance
01:01:52.140 that is five
01:01:53.840 times
01:01:54.940 the size
01:01:55.860 of the capital
01:01:56.620 complex
01:01:57.280 in Washington
01:01:58.000 D.C.
01:01:58.840 five times
01:02:00.320 how did we
01:02:04.720 get here
01:02:05.100 because we
01:02:09.040 bought into
01:02:09.720 the lie
01:02:10.160 that our
01:02:10.560 patriotic
01:02:11.280 duty
01:02:11.720 is to go
01:02:12.320 shopping
01:02:13.060 to do
01:02:14.460 something
01:02:15.140 fun
01:02:15.920 it's not
01:02:17.620 our patriotic
01:02:19.220 duty requires
01:02:20.300 work
01:02:20.980 it requires
01:02:22.020 us to be
01:02:22.700 informed
01:02:23.380 I never
01:02:24.320 learned history
01:02:25.300 I never
01:02:26.180 learned the
01:02:26.580 Bill of Rights
01:02:27.100 or the
01:02:27.340 Constitution
01:02:27.860 or I never
01:02:28.640 learned whatever
01:02:29.360 in school
01:02:30.140 great
01:02:31.020 neither did I
01:02:32.180 so what's
01:02:33.160 our excuse
01:02:33.880 now
01:02:34.560 we cannot
01:02:36.160 have a
01:02:37.080 country
01:02:37.540 if we
01:02:38.340 don't
01:02:38.980 understand
01:02:39.820 our
01:02:40.080 Bill of
01:02:40.500 Rights
01:02:40.780 what the
01:02:41.420 hell are
01:02:41.660 you fighting
01:02:42.120 for
01:02:42.600 I'm
01:02:43.600 fighting for
01:02:44.600 America
01:02:45.320 and the
01:02:45.740 American
01:02:46.240 way of
01:02:46.760 life
01:02:47.200 what is
01:02:48.060 that
01:02:48.460 what creates
01:02:49.480 that
01:02:49.960 the Constitution
01:02:51.460 the rule
01:02:52.700 of law
01:02:53.200 the Bill
01:02:53.740 of Rights
01:02:54.380 that's
01:02:55.500 what creates
01:02:56.860 it
01:02:57.060 what are we
01:02:57.780 trying to
01:02:58.300 create
01:02:58.820 the mission
01:03:00.240 statement
01:03:00.820 in the
01:03:01.560 Declaration
01:03:02.000 of Independence
01:03:02.980 why did
01:03:04.480 we break
01:03:05.100 away from
01:03:05.700 a country
01:03:06.340 that we
01:03:07.540 loved at
01:03:08.440 the time
01:03:08.940 in many
01:03:09.360 ways
01:03:09.840 it's in
01:03:11.720 the Declaration
01:03:12.280 of Independence
01:03:13.180 is there any
01:03:14.320 relevance to
01:03:15.140 that yes
01:03:15.900 most of it
01:03:16.820 is being
01:03:17.260 done now
01:03:18.240 by our
01:03:18.800 own
01:03:19.300 government
01:03:19.780 in spite
01:03:20.640 of the
01:03:21.300 Constitution
01:03:22.080 tomorrow
01:03:32.020 is
01:03:32.220 September
01:03:32.560 12th
01:03:34.080 biggest
01:03:36.580 day in
01:03:36.920 my life
01:03:37.320 when I
01:03:37.600 saw
01:03:37.800 Americans
01:03:38.340 being
01:03:38.600 good
01:03:38.840 and
01:03:39.000 decent
01:03:39.440 we
01:03:40.440 helped
01:03:40.760 each
01:03:41.000 other
01:03:41.260 we
01:03:41.520 cared
01:03:42.040 when
01:03:43.040 somebody
01:03:43.400 said
01:03:43.680 how are
01:03:44.180 you
01:03:44.400 we
01:03:44.860 actually
01:03:45.340 wanted
01:03:45.940 the
01:03:46.280 answer
01:03:46.740 we
01:03:47.600 would
01:03:47.820 hug
01:03:48.420 strangers
01:03:49.200 ask
01:03:49.740 them
01:03:49.960 talk
01:03:50.360 to
01:03:50.560 them
01:03:50.840 it's
01:03:51.860 the
01:03:51.940 last
01:03:52.140 time
01:03:52.360 you
01:03:52.500 saw
01:03:52.760 that
01:03:53.280 September
01:03:55.640 12th
01:03:56.560 I'll
01:03:57.420 continue
01:03:57.840 this
01:03:58.340 tomorrow
01:03:59.560 the
01:04:13.240 Glenn

01:06:52.800 and
01:06:53.080 caring
01:06:53.740 individuals
01:06:54.620 and i
01:06:55.580 don't know
01:06:55.860 your
01:06:56.080 politics
01:06:56.600 but i
01:06:57.060 know you
01:06:57.300 do a
01:06:57.620 lot of
01:06:57.880 stuff
01:06:58.120 with npr
01:06:58.760 and uh
01:07:00.080 and and
01:07:00.880 pbs and
01:07:01.940 you know
01:07:02.380 generally those
01:07:03.000 people don't
01:07:03.520 like me
01:07:03.920 um but
01:07:05.620 uh you've
01:07:06.600 always been
01:07:07.140 you've always
01:07:08.480 looked for
01:07:09.540 a way to
01:07:10.400 come together
01:07:11.680 as we
01:07:12.520 did on
01:07:14.160 9-11 and
01:07:15.020 9-12 uh
01:07:16.500 so many years
01:07:17.100 ago so
01:07:17.880 thank you for
01:07:18.400 that dave
01:07:18.880 thanks for
01:07:19.420 giving me the
01:07:20.020 opportunity to
01:07:20.840 be your
01:07:21.120 friend
01:07:21.460 well it
01:07:23.480 would it
01:07:23.920 was it
01:07:24.320 was never
01:07:24.680 in question
01:07:25.280 you know
01:07:25.840 you we
01:07:26.540 i i think
01:07:27.480 you know
01:07:27.840 we've known
01:07:28.180 each other
01:07:28.520 for a while
01:07:28.980 now and
01:07:29.340 we we
01:07:30.140 had each
01:07:30.540 other from
01:07:30.960 hello you
01:07:31.820 know and
01:07:32.120 i think we
01:07:32.600 both we
01:07:33.500 both really
01:07:34.260 love this
01:07:34.960 country deeply
01:07:35.740 and care about
01:07:36.960 the country
01:07:37.400 deeply um
01:07:38.600 and are um
01:07:40.400 patriots like
01:07:41.420 the and i also
01:07:42.600 feel like i've
01:07:43.160 gotten to know
01:07:43.620 your your
01:07:44.220 audience over
01:07:45.120 over these
01:07:45.660 years yeah
01:07:46.440 and it's a
01:07:46.900 privilege to
01:07:47.440 know them as
01:07:47.940 well um
01:07:48.700 and thank you
01:07:49.360 for having me
01:07:49.860 on you bet
01:07:50.680 so dave in
01:07:52.000 case you don't
01:07:52.560 know if you've
01:07:53.540 ever listened to
01:07:54.540 npr you might
01:07:55.560 have heard of
01:07:56.000 story core
01:07:56.640 and he goes
01:07:57.260 out and they
01:07:57.720 collect stories
01:07:58.580 for the national
01:07:59.600 archives and
01:08:01.120 collects all of
01:08:02.280 the different
01:08:02.680 stories of what
01:08:03.840 people remember
01:08:05.240 what they did
01:08:06.360 um and it's a
01:08:07.820 snapshot into the
01:08:09.540 american psyche
01:08:10.400 and into time
01:08:11.780 and you're going
01:08:13.980 to share something
01:08:14.560 from uh 9-11
01:08:16.280 how when were
01:08:17.280 these recorded
01:08:18.100 so these um so
01:08:21.940 we're we've been
01:08:22.620 around for about
01:08:23.280 about 20 years
01:08:24.260 and and yeah i
01:08:25.060 think it's a
01:08:25.540 snapshot in time
01:08:26.420 i i also think
01:08:27.260 it's kind of
01:08:27.960 collecting the
01:08:28.540 wisdom of
01:08:28.980 humanity and
01:08:30.220 you know the
01:08:30.620 way story core
01:08:31.360 works is it's
01:08:32.340 two people who
01:08:33.520 come to a booth
01:08:34.440 we've had about
01:08:34.960 700 000 people
01:08:36.180 do this so you
01:08:37.020 come with your
01:08:37.720 grandmother your
01:08:38.920 mom and you
01:08:39.620 honor her by
01:08:40.440 looking in her
01:08:41.060 eye and ask
01:08:42.320 her about her
01:08:43.460 life um and
01:08:44.580 we sometimes do
01:08:46.340 a big collections
01:08:47.740 of stories when
01:08:48.900 when it's important
01:08:50.000 like post 9-11
01:08:51.040 vets and their
01:08:51.700 families the first 0.98
01:08:52.800 um initiative we
01:08:54.600 call those
01:08:54.980 initiatives that
01:08:55.600 we did was with
01:08:56.320 9-11 families and
01:08:58.100 everyone who lost
01:08:58.960 a loved one on
01:08:59.720 september 11th comes
01:09:00.820 to story core to
01:09:02.300 leave a record of
01:09:03.100 their lives and and
01:09:04.140 while story core is
01:09:05.520 usually two people
01:09:06.620 um with 9-11
01:09:08.060 sometimes people
01:09:08.960 come uh by
01:09:10.340 themselves and i
01:09:11.480 think we're going
01:09:12.020 to listen to one
01:09:12.760 of those stories
01:09:13.760 when they come by
01:09:14.900 themselves it's a
01:09:16.100 facility it's
01:09:16.800 someone who works
01:09:17.320 for story core who
01:09:18.440 interviews them sorry
01:09:19.480 glenn go ahead
01:09:19.960 that's all right it's
01:09:20.560 beverly uh
01:09:21.660 eckert can you
01:09:22.920 tell us a little
01:09:23.540 bit about her
01:09:24.040 before we hear
01:09:24.760 sure so this
01:09:27.540 this story um that
01:09:29.240 we're about to hear
01:09:29.900 takes place 22
01:09:30.960 years and one hour
01:09:32.080 ago um beverly
01:09:34.080 eckert's husband
01:09:35.000 sean rooney was in
01:09:36.140 the south tower of
01:09:37.100 the world trade
01:09:37.640 center when united
01:09:39.060 flight 175 struck
01:09:40.700 the building um and
01:09:42.220 while he was trying
01:09:42.880 to make his way to
01:09:43.620 the roof of the
01:09:44.680 world trade center
01:09:45.400 uh he called his
01:09:46.780 wife sean called
01:09:47.580 his wife beverly
01:09:48.460 okay uh and she 0.57
01:09:49.680 came to story core
01:09:50.580 to remember their
01:09:51.160 final conversation
01:09:52.120 here it is
01:09:52.880 sean had warm
01:09:53.620 brown eyes and
01:09:54.580 dark curly hair and
01:09:56.680 uh he was a good
01:09:57.780 hugger we met when
01:10:00.000 we were only 16 at
01:10:01.780 a high school dance
01:10:02.640 and when he died we
01:10:04.740 were 50
01:10:05.280 it's about 9 30 a.m
01:10:08.580 when he called
01:10:09.220 they told me he was
01:10:10.560 on the 105th floor
01:10:11.920 and he'd been trying
01:10:13.100 to find a way out
01:10:13.980 he told me that he
01:10:16.560 you know he hadn't
01:10:17.340 had any success and
01:10:18.460 now the stairwell was
01:10:19.420 full of smoke
01:10:20.140 i asked if it hurt
01:10:22.440 for him to breathe
01:10:23.200 and he paused for a
01:10:24.760 moment and then
01:10:25.660 said no he loved me
01:10:27.660 enough to lie
01:10:28.540 we stopped talking
01:10:30.700 about escape routes
01:10:31.640 and then we just
01:10:32.940 began talking about
01:10:33.980 all the happiness we
01:10:34.880 shared during our
01:10:35.800 lives together
01:10:36.440 i told him that i
01:10:38.380 wanted to be there
01:10:39.040 with him
01:10:39.480 but he said no no
01:10:42.320 he wanted me to live
01:10:43.840 a full life
01:10:44.660 and as the smoke got
01:10:47.460 thicker he just kept
01:10:48.320 whispering i love you
01:10:49.420 over and over
01:10:50.300 they just wanted to
01:10:52.720 crawl through the
01:10:53.320 phone lines to him
01:10:54.380 and hold him
01:10:55.420 one last time
01:10:57.400 then i heard a sharp
01:11:00.960 crack followed by the
01:11:02.860 sound of an avalanche
01:11:04.940 it was the building
01:11:05.820 beginning to collapse
01:11:06.900 i called his name
01:11:08.700 into the phone over
01:11:10.060 and over
01:11:10.420 then i just sat there
01:11:12.920 pressing the phone
01:11:14.960 to my heart
01:11:15.660 i think about that
01:11:18.260 last half hour with
01:11:19.120 sean all the time
01:11:20.100 i remember how i
01:11:21.760 i didn't want that
01:11:23.060 day to end
01:11:23.880 terrible as it was
01:11:25.520 i didn't want to go
01:11:26.400 to sleep because as
01:11:27.420 long as i was awake
01:11:28.320 it was still a day
01:11:29.640 that i'd shared with
01:11:30.660 sean you know
01:11:31.760 and he kissed me
01:11:32.360 goodbye before leaving
01:11:33.260 for work
01:11:33.760 i could still say that
01:11:34.940 was just a little while
01:11:36.040 ago that was only
01:11:36.640 this morning
01:11:37.180 and i just think of
01:11:42.480 myself as living life
01:11:44.080 for both of us now
01:11:44.880 and i like to think
01:11:48.020 that sean would be
01:11:49.040 proud of me
01:11:50.040 holy cow how many
01:11:54.080 people i mean how
01:11:57.460 many people on your
01:11:58.560 staff uh prompted
01:12:01.920 these stories from
01:12:02.960 people i mean that
01:12:03.740 must have been
01:12:04.640 beautiful and
01:12:07.020 just heart-wrenching
01:12:09.280 well it's it's a
01:12:13.020 you know story core
01:12:14.300 and especially you
01:12:16.480 know this initiative
01:12:17.240 or or you know
01:12:18.100 with with vets a lot
01:12:19.260 of these you know
01:12:20.000 life is hard it's a
01:12:21.760 very very difficult
01:12:22.640 job um and again
01:12:24.380 you know most people
01:12:25.300 are pears when they
01:12:27.040 come to the booth
01:12:27.580 and i have a kind of
01:12:28.460 a an even more
01:12:29.800 tragic ending to
01:12:30.800 this story which is
01:12:31.900 that um beverly was 1.00
01:12:34.560 on flight 3407 to
01:12:37.140 buffalo uh in
01:12:39.260 2010 to commemorate
01:12:40.540 sean's birthday and
01:12:41.440 died in in that
01:12:42.620 plane crash oh my
01:12:44.000 god um do they
01:12:45.500 they have children
01:12:46.220 they did not have
01:12:48.940 children they did not
01:12:51.040 have children so um
01:12:53.200 yeah no it's it's hard
01:12:54.300 on staff and you know
01:12:55.120 when when as in the
01:12:56.340 intro to the segment
01:12:57.060 you talked about how
01:12:57.840 life was different
01:12:58.620 before september 11th
01:13:00.180 which is true but you
01:13:02.200 know life is also
01:13:03.120 different and and in
01:13:04.720 the in on september
01:13:05.860 11th and september
01:13:06.840 12th and the weeks
01:13:07.760 after i think you were
01:13:08.800 in connecticut then i
01:13:09.760 i don't i was in
01:13:11.000 tampa i was in
01:13:11.900 tampa florida you're
01:13:12.800 in tampa yeah yeah
01:13:13.680 but i and i don't
01:13:15.140 know if it was true
01:13:15.800 in tampa but you
01:13:17.240 know after after
01:13:18.280 september 11th for
01:13:19.660 two weeks for 10
01:13:21.240 days for one week we
01:13:23.240 saw each other as
01:13:24.000 americans oh no i 0.99
01:13:25.780 think we knew we
01:13:26.600 belonged to one
01:13:27.300 another yeah i i
01:13:28.200 think we we saw
01:13:29.280 each other as
01:13:29.900 people as humans
01:13:32.340 as brothers and
01:13:33.360 sisters it was you
01:13:34.780 know we loved
01:13:35.620 strangers we loved
01:13:36.680 our neighbors yeah
01:13:37.760 we we would stop
01:13:39.240 i remember stew and
01:13:40.640 i were just talking
01:13:41.160 about this last week
01:13:41.960 we were at the
01:13:43.780 outback steakhouse
01:13:44.900 that night yeah and
01:13:46.600 it had just been you
01:13:48.160 know the day
01:13:49.040 everybody had and we
01:13:50.600 went out into the
01:13:51.200 parking lot and there
01:13:51.840 was somebody that we
01:13:52.560 didn't know we had
01:13:53.500 never seen before and
01:13:55.720 they were just standing
01:13:57.140 there kind of days
01:13:58.160 and we went over
01:13:59.460 and talked to them
01:14:00.200 and hugged them and
01:14:01.440 i mean it was for
01:14:05.080 as horrible as that
01:14:06.820 was it was the very
01:14:09.500 next day and later
01:14:11.200 in that afternoon it
01:14:13.140 was one of the most
01:14:14.040 beautiful times i've
01:14:15.300 ever seen in america
01:14:16.480 ever i was in new
01:14:19.380 york i i feel the
01:14:20.780 same way i mean we
01:14:22.040 saw the truth of who
01:14:24.440 we are and how lucky
01:14:25.340 we are to be alive and
01:14:26.320 how precious life is and
01:14:27.560 how all of our lives
01:14:28.480 matter equally and
01:14:30.040 infinitely i mean we
01:14:31.000 were americans you
01:14:32.320 know in the question
01:14:33.060 then we get to the
01:14:34.540 point the part that
01:14:35.680 that you said about
01:14:36.520 how much things have
01:14:37.300 changed because it
01:14:38.660 lasted 10 days or two
01:14:40.200 weeks and how can we
01:14:41.900 get that back again
01:14:42.820 so dave would you join
01:14:44.460 me again tomorrow i
01:14:45.600 know you have another
01:14:46.100 clip but i'd love to
01:14:46.940 have you back tomorrow
01:14:47.760 because tomorrow is
01:14:49.800 the anniversary of
01:14:50.760 something that we
01:14:51.820 called the 912 0.91
01:14:52.900 project and uh and it
01:14:55.900 was it was trying to
01:14:58.140 remind people who we
01:14:59.360 were on 912 and that
01:15:02.780 we need to serve one
01:15:04.620 another and be those
01:15:05.980 kinds of people and i'm
01:15:06.800 going to do something on
01:15:07.800 that tomorrow and i'd love
01:15:08.800 to have you back and and
01:15:10.460 share something that you
01:15:11.820 know where people are
01:15:12.900 coming together that are
01:15:14.280 because that's your
01:15:15.160 current project now at
01:15:17.760 least with with this
01:15:19.400 audience is you're
01:15:20.340 trying to uh to show
01:15:22.540 people in different
01:15:23.580 audiences how how
01:15:25.920 people can come
01:15:27.160 together and they can
01:15:29.500 live side by side that
01:15:30.500 we're not all that
01:15:31.700 different doesn't mean
01:15:32.600 that there isn't evil
01:15:33.520 out there and there
01:15:34.280 isn't things we stand
01:15:35.160 up for but that we're
01:15:37.760 people we're still
01:15:39.320 brothers and sisters
01:15:40.500 exactly and most people
01:15:43.620 you know there are there
01:15:45.320 is evil out there but i
01:15:47.260 mean you know this glenn i
01:15:48.340 mean most people are good
01:15:49.680 i know no matter what
01:15:51.620 their politics are most
01:15:52.840 people are good and we've
01:15:53.720 forgotten that i'd be
01:15:54.620 honored to come back on
01:15:55.540 tomorrow i think i'm on
01:15:56.740 a plane but but hopefully
01:15:58.120 hopefully um let's let's
01:16:00.400 let's let's see what time
01:16:01.640 i'm flying if not we'll
01:16:02.920 just try my best to come
01:16:04.060 on yeah if not we'll just
01:16:05.680 just make sure we have
01:16:06.720 some some additional
01:16:07.620 things that we can show
01:16:08.840 that you know what what
01:16:09.960 people are doing now uh
01:16:12.120 to try to honor uh who we
01:16:14.180 really are dave thank you
01:16:15.460 so much for everything you
01:16:16.460 do if if you would like to
01:16:18.460 be involved uh in uh
01:16:20.720 story core all you have
01:16:22.400 to do is uh is write to
01:16:24.480 story core um dave what
01:16:26.620 is the exact address where
01:16:27.820 you want people to go if
01:16:29.240 they want to if they want
01:16:30.980 to share
01:16:31.480 sorry i yes i was just uh
01:16:37.740 your producer had me on
01:16:38.900 the line your question was
01:16:40.060 um where do people go to
01:16:42.500 uh if they want to share if
01:16:44.540 they want to be involved in
01:16:46.200 what you do so we'll talk
01:16:48.920 tomorrow about one small
01:16:49.920 step was our which is our
01:16:51.100 effort to bring the country
01:16:52.140 um together one story at a
01:16:54.120 time strangers talking to
01:16:55.480 each other across the
01:16:56.360 political divides and the
01:16:58.160 glenbeck audience is the
01:16:59.340 number one driver of this
01:17:00.520 project on the conservative
01:17:01.660 side so um we want
01:17:03.660 everybody everybody um
01:17:05.920 especially in our in the
01:17:07.320 towns we're in wichita
01:17:08.620 fresno fresno and richmond
01:17:10.460 and in 48 hours we're
01:17:11.680 opening up in a town in
01:17:13.120 georgia which i i can't
01:17:14.400 announce yet but okay go
01:17:15.620 to take one small step
01:17:16.920 dot org take one small
01:17:18.740 step dot org and sign up
01:17:20.080 to be a part of this work
01:17:21.140 and we'll talk tomorrow
01:17:21.980 glen thank you so much
01:17:22.820 dave god bless if you
01:17:25.580 haven't been you know
01:17:26.940 storing food uh for the
01:17:28.600 coming shortages why i mean
01:17:31.940 i know i know it sounds
01:17:34.880 crazy that we're gonna we
01:17:37.000 might need food storage that
01:17:38.560 sounds crazy but what
01:17:40.700 doesn't sound crazy right
01:17:42.980 now what all of the
01:17:45.140 things that have happened
01:17:45.960 you're like that'll never
01:17:46.960 happen i know i got a
01:17:48.800 list of them please don't
01:17:52.020 dismiss this warning and

01:18:12.460 stress your grocery store
01:18:15.040 is short of food there's
01:18:16.800 food shortages for some
01:18:18.120 other reason the economy

01:18:56.320 back program
01:18:57.140 welcome to the glenn back
01:19:14.000 program stu just informed me
01:19:15.860 that i'm not covering the
01:19:17.620 real news today now i i
01:19:20.020 originally thought okay well
01:19:21.400 that's because we have the
01:19:22.540 attorney general on from
01:19:24.220 missouri next who just won
01:19:27.140 you know the the big court
01:19:28.440 case against the white house
01:19:29.680 you haven't even mentioned
01:19:30.540 ashton kutcher or mila
01:19:31.860 kunis today i have i don't
01:19:33.560 know why no i haven't no
01:19:35.060 and uh have you followed
01:19:36.260 this at all i think it's
01:19:37.380 sort of a fascinating part of
01:19:38.880 our world one of the guys
01:19:40.700 from that 70s 70s show
01:19:43.440 raped a bunch of women or
01:19:45.860 one he was accused of three
01:19:47.800 and was three convicted of
01:19:48.840 two okay um i think i think
01:19:50.660 that's the way that i didn't
01:19:51.620 follow the story honestly that
01:19:52.720 that closely i kind of
01:19:54.000 assumed he was guilty and
01:19:55.080 honestly didn't really look
01:19:55.960 into it that much that's
01:19:57.080 you know wasn't in my
01:19:58.760 purview but what i did find
01:20:00.140 to be uh interesting was
01:20:02.400 the after this conviction
01:20:04.540 happens ashton kutcher and
01:20:06.100 meet lacunas are revealed to
01:20:07.960 have written letters to the
01:20:09.780 judge to ask for leniency for
01:20:12.100 their friend danny masterson
01:20:14.140 who was they were all on the
01:20:15.340 show together and they're
01:20:17.140 they're their letters are
01:20:18.680 maybe a little over the top
01:20:19.820 they're like he was you know
01:20:21.000 he was like a big brother the
01:20:22.260 greatest big brother i ever
01:20:23.660 had they talked about how he
01:20:25.680 helped keep them off drugs
01:20:27.040 apparently at a difficult time
01:20:28.600 they apparently had a
01:20:29.620 wonderful experience with this
01:20:30.900 guy sure at least in their in
01:20:32.160 their view and they later have
01:20:33.880 said it was the family that
01:20:35.100 asked them to write these they
01:20:36.740 obviously think the family
01:20:37.720 thinks he's innocent but the
01:20:39.040 it's already he's already been
01:20:40.340 convicted it's not he's not
01:20:41.260 that's not gonna happen
01:20:42.200 doesn't ashton kutcher help in
01:20:44.760 rescuing he runs like a sexual
01:20:47.220 trafficking yeah charity so not
01:20:49.280 not for sexual trafficking but
01:20:50.820 against it right he's against
01:20:52.280 sexual trafficking right and
01:20:53.340 people are criticizing you are
01:20:54.520 in this organization and here
01:20:55.460 you are trying to get a you know
01:20:56.740 a rapist off or lenient sentence
01:20:58.980 no but a lenient it's 30 is the
01:21:01.720 minimum 30 is the minimum so the
01:21:03.160 range of outcomes here is 30 to
01:21:04.680 life okay and so in theory what
01:21:06.620 they're arguing for is a 30 year
01:21:08.000 sentence rather than life and i
01:21:10.380 think that's actually like what
01:21:12.040 the system is set up to do right
01:21:13.580 like the whole point of this is to
01:21:15.200 add a little bit of context to who
01:21:17.320 he was outside of these incidents
01:21:19.000 and if the judge agrees which i
01:21:21.280 don't think they the judge did
01:21:22.520 agree um then maybe you get a
01:21:24.780 lenient sentence maybe there's
01:21:25.840 some sort of uh information that
01:21:27.960 could be interesting in that world
01:21:29.320 but like they're getting
01:21:30.420 criticized because how dare you
01:21:31.840 try to get a rapist off when it's
01:21:33.140 your friend yeah here you are no
01:21:34.760 you're trying to get you know you
01:21:35.820 know and i think he's not trying
01:21:36.720 to get him off that's a loaded
01:21:38.720 sentence he's not trying he's all
01:21:40.760 he's doing is saying let's let's
01:21:43.540 just let me balance you've just
01:21:45.380 heard how bad he is let me balance
01:21:47.400 this for the judge to look at
01:21:49.840 between 30 and light and life
01:21:51.920 that's a pretty did you hear about
01:21:53.540 the guy in um gosh where was it he
01:21:56.280 was driving his car drunk and this
01:22:00.140 story came out about a year ago and
01:22:01.700 and he was at some festival and some
01:22:05.220 teenage kid he said was this violent
01:22:08.400 trump supporter and uh just a
01:22:11.660 virile uh republican and he killed 0.83
01:22:17.120 him ran over him in the driveway then
01:22:20.020 left then called police from home
01:22:22.740 where they came and they gave him an
01:22:24.200 alcohol test and he was you know
01:22:25.660 legally hammered the kid died he got
01:22:29.740 five years he got five years five the
01:22:36.660 rapist got 30 okay he gets five how's
01:22:41.780 that possible how is that possible
01:22:45.060 the glenn back program
01:22:51.660 we got no room to compromise
01:23:05.180 we gotta stand together it's gonna
01:23:09.900 what you're about to hear is the
01:23:27.300 fusion of entertainment and
01:23:29.300 enlightenment this is the glenn back
01:23:33.720 program the most listened to talk
01:23:39.660 radio uh program in america hello and
01:23:44.120 welcome to the glenn back program it is
01:23:46.040 september 11th we actually have some

01:23:52.560 several fronts but we're going to take
01:23:54.800 the one that comes out of missouri in
01:23:57.880 60 seconds global investor mark faber
01:24:01.160 who's often called dr doom just issued
01:24:03.640 a chilling prediction on the future of
01:24:05.760 the u.s dollar i think you should hear
01:24:07.640 this he said now remember it's dr doom
01:24:10.080 and it's glenn beck telling you so you
01:24:12.500 know it's not going to be happy
01:24:13.720 the u.s dollar will become over time a
01:24:17.200 worthless currency why because he's
01:24:20.980 convinced government agencies like the
01:24:22.840 fed are all lying forced to print money
01:24:25.920 indefinitely to maintain an illusion of
01:24:28.900 stability if you followed this stuff and
01:24:32.740 you follow what they have been doing and
01:24:35.180 what they are doing i believe he's
01:24:36.920 absolutely right just because he's you
01:24:39.940 know dr doom doesn't mean that he's wrong

01:25:49.580 have andrew bailey on the phone with us
01:25:51.540 from missouri he is the attorney general
01:25:53.680 missouri has been kicking ass and taking 0.97
01:25:56.800 names with the attorney general's office
01:25:59.420 now for a few years he has just won an
01:26:03.720 appeals an appeal in the fifth cork it us
01:26:06.740 in the fifth circuit court of appeals uh
01:26:10.800 on the white house what they can and
01:26:13.180 cannot do andrew welcome to the program
01:26:15.540 hey thank you so much for having me on
01:26:17.840 it's great to have you on so tell me what
01:26:19.460 happened it's happened on friday as you
01:26:21.640 yeah as you know we our lawsuit missouri
01:26:24.420 v biden has uncovered a relationship of
01:26:26.520 coercion collusion between the white
01:26:28.600 house across a spectrum of bureaucratic
01:26:30.340 agencies to silence american voices in
01:26:32.980 violation of the first amendment on big
01:26:34.600 tech social media platforms we went to
01:26:36.900 court in may and asked for a preliminary
01:26:38.200 injunction on july 4th the district court
01:26:40.700 laid the first brick in a wall of separation
01:26:42.900 between tech and state to protect our first
01:26:45.740 amendment right to free speech against
01:26:47.140 government censorship and put a stop to
01:26:48.980 it uh this coercion and collusion to
01:26:51.280 stifle americans voices uh the department
01:26:54.100 of justice appealed and said that they
01:26:55.840 needed to be able to silence voices to
01:26:57.740 protect us from ourselves oh my god and
01:26:59.700 obviously that yeah i mean that that's
01:27:01.580 that's when you know you're in trouble
01:27:02.700 when our rights are in peril when they
01:27:04.480 start saying things like that but we
01:27:05.920 appealed it to the fifth circuit court of
01:27:07.440 appeals and a three-judge panel on
01:27:09.380 friday afternoon upheld that preliminary
01:27:11.480 injunction keeps that first brick in the 0.96
01:27:13.940 wall of separation between tech and state
01:27:15.900 in place to protect our first amendment
01:27:18.300 right to free speech this is a huge win
01:27:19.960 for our constitutional rights in the first
01:27:22.020 amendment is it going to go to the supreme
01:27:23.800 court i think it has to and i think the uh
01:27:26.960 you know the fifth circuit court of appeals
01:27:28.160 certainly telegraphed that the department of
01:27:29.980 justice has 10 days to decide if they want
01:27:32.160 to appeal uh the ruling we anticipate they
01:27:34.560 will i mean that they throughout the process
01:27:36.440 in may uh after the fourth of july uh once the
01:27:39.340 district court issued its order and then in
01:27:40.960 court in oral argument uh last you know a few
01:27:43.000 weeks ago at the fifth circuit the department
01:27:45.100 of justice is committed to continuing
01:27:46.760 violations of our right to free speech they
01:27:48.820 want to be able to censor voices in
01:27:51.000 opposition uh on big tech social media
01:27:53.180 platforms and look the court found that the
01:27:54.820 harm is ongoing that uh you know that there's
01:27:57.340 a past chilling effect uh of government
01:27:59.800 censorship where people are now self-censoring
01:28:01.740 if you talk about donald people are afraid to
01:28:03.500 talk about donald trump or covet or election
01:28:05.380 security issues on big tech for a fear of
01:28:07.900 being de-platformed de-emphasized shadow
01:28:09.740 banned and so the harm is ongoing and
01:28:11.700 department of justice is clearly committed to
01:28:13.600 future violations so we've got to keep fighting
01:28:15.380 this thing all the way to the highest court
01:28:16.660 so i just read i think it was in the new
01:28:18.700 york times today they were talking about
01:28:20.100 elon musk and you know uh what a lie it was
01:28:23.700 that uh most of the free speech that is
01:28:26.680 suppressed is from the right uh and they're
01:28:30.180 just saying that's not true it's from the
01:28:31.920 left the judge in his ruling stated and
01:28:36.060 clarified who was getting harmed right
01:28:38.020 that's absolutely correct and i would also point
01:28:41.080 out that on may 26th when we were we put on
01:28:43.740 evidence this is not missouri attorney general
01:28:45.820 andrew bailey speculating that something
01:28:47.860 happened this is proven in court based on
01:28:49.920 evidence through a judicial process and now
01:28:51.600 affirmed by a court of by an appellate court
01:28:53.900 but i would point out that on may 26th after
01:28:55.800 we had put on the evidence and the district
01:28:58.020 court judge looks at biden's attorneys and
01:28:59.740 says well give me one example where someone
01:29:01.620 you silenced or suppressed or censored wasn't
01:29:04.240 conservative and the only example they had was
01:29:05.900 robert kennedy another voice in opposition to
01:29:08.160 joe biden
01:29:08.660 okay um also the white house made it uh made
01:29:16.260 it clear of what they wanted to be suppressed
01:29:19.700 and what they wanted to be uh amplified but
01:29:23.480 they also threatened them uh in ways that are
01:29:27.740 completely unconstitutional if they didn't do
01:29:30.680 it right yeah that's exactly right there was an
01:29:33.620 unspoken or else do this or else you will be
01:29:37.020 punished the court noted that the white house
01:29:39.560 had plans to punish big tech that they're both
01:29:42.060 express threats and implicit threats through the
01:29:45.100 use of the inherent authority of their office and
01:29:46.860 that's coming from the white house who is the 0.55
01:29:48.600 ultimate authority of the executive branch and
01:29:50.240 the fbi who was a law enforcement agency so
01:29:52.740 these uh social media companies these big tech
01:29:54.900 companies certainly knew that they were censoring
01:29:58.340 conservative voices at the demand of the federal
01:30:01.040 government and um he said the hunter biden laptop story
01:30:04.240 was real not mere russian disinformation and uh the
01:30:09.160 fbi's failure to alert social media companies to this
01:30:12.140 fact is particularly troubling what did he mean by it
01:30:16.660 well it's election interference i mean that is the most prime
01:30:19.740 example of election interference that i can provide is in the
01:30:22.180 course of this lawsuit i mean at the end of the day
01:30:24.180 the court found that joe biden used the power of the presidency
01:30:27.420 to threaten social media into censoring truthful speech
01:30:30.420 in an orchestrated campaign of a magnitude never seen before in our
01:30:35.060 country and glenn you and i've talked about this before
01:30:37.020 you know we we talked about in 1798 the alien and sedition act
01:30:40.800 that the federalist passed to lock up political opponents
01:30:44.020 this is worse the court has identified that what's going on here
01:30:47.120 between the federal government censoring on big tech is worse
01:30:50.020 than what was going on in 1798 and that's the nadir
01:30:53.080 of you know constitutional depravity and a slouch toward authoritarianism
01:30:58.280 so i'm seeing so much of this going on what what happened
01:31:03.880 with the governor in uh uh new mexico this weekend
01:31:08.920 just saying you know what for 30 days we're just going to ban guns
01:31:12.460 you can't do that um what's happening here in texas where they are
01:31:17.220 are impeaching our attorney general with what appears to be
01:31:22.180 literally no evidence of a crime it is crazy what's happening
01:31:27.540 i i mean i i asked stew today when was if there ever was a time
01:31:32.600 when was the last time you a saw somebody go to jail
01:31:38.220 for questioning the outcome of an election
01:31:41.260 and b their attorneys were charged as well
01:31:45.640 when's the last time attorneys were charged in anything
01:31:48.920 yeah the department of justice and these rogue prosecutors in georgia want to
01:31:53.840 criminalize the practice of law which clearly runs afoul of the right to
01:31:58.000 counsel provided in the united states constitution but i would also point out
01:32:01.640 what's going on in new mexico has a direct correlation
01:32:03.920 to what we're seeing in our lawsuit missouri v biden on the first amendment
01:32:07.280 big tech issues in that the white house and the department of justice in court
01:32:11.480 in open court said that covid justified the violations of the first amendment
01:32:15.700 that because of covid they had to censor speech to quote unquote protect us from
01:32:19.440 ourselves and and what the point that we've made in court
01:32:22.260 is that a national emergency never justifies violating the timeless principles
01:32:26.940 codified in the constitution because the national emergency
01:32:28.940 will never end and you see that at play in in new mexico
01:32:32.180 the governor there is using a quote unquote statewide emergency
01:32:35.840 to target firearms to violate second amendment rights of individuals
01:32:39.860 in new mexico because she contrived
01:32:42.140 an emergency the separation of powers matter again we can't slouch toward
01:32:46.500 authoritarianism because of a perceived emergency and that's why
01:32:49.820 standing up and fighting for these fundamental and timeless rights is so
01:32:53.860 important so wait a minute so will this
01:32:56.540 because i i think one of the reasons maybe you'd know better
01:33:00.300 that was it's only 30 days is so it doesn't go into court and they don't rule
01:33:05.340 so it'll just kind of leave it ambiguous
01:33:07.140 um but i think it needs to be tried all the way to the supreme court
01:33:12.060 is this why you are saying that it has to go
01:33:15.560 your case has to go to the uh supreme court
01:33:19.200 i believe so i think it a hundred years from now law students
01:33:24.000 will crack open a constitutional law textbook and read the case of missouri v biden
01:33:28.100 and we'll view that as a turning point in our nation's history
01:33:31.160 where we reaffirmed our commitment to free fair and open debate absent government
01:33:35.500 censorship where we rejected government censorship and celebrated our freedom
01:33:40.100 and that we've got you know covid tyranny again that's just the trojan horse
01:33:43.960 that gets the enemy behind the gates and we see that that that enemy now
01:33:47.300 spreading into so many different areas election quote unquote election security
01:33:50.800 department of justice committed to censoring american speech if you if you
01:33:54.420 question the integrity of election and uh you know a new emergency is now
01:33:58.280 popped up where the governor of new mexico wants to violate the second
01:34:00.480 amendment rights of american citizens in new mexico
01:34:03.220 because of a perceived emergency i mean again we can't let covid tyranny
01:34:07.220 spread to these other areas we've got to continue to fight back and take it all
01:34:10.740 the way to the united states was the judge on friday clear
01:34:13.820 about a covid emergency that that these emergencies do not was did he state that
01:34:21.040 make that very clear i believe that is absolutely in the in
01:34:24.880 in the court's uh 74 page opinion i think
01:34:27.260 that runs as a common thread throughout the entirety of this litigation i mean from day
01:34:31.980 one we've said that you can't you know it's during times of national emergency we must
01:34:37.000 remain most vigilant in our protection of our fundamental rights and i mean look at
01:34:41.260 the historical perspective i mean in the 1940s uh japanese americans were interned during
01:34:46.520 world war ii in violation of the due process clause uh because of a perceived emergency you
01:34:51.200 know covid we were we were masked schools shut down we were ordered to stay home weren't
01:34:56.260 allowed to to interact with one another saw loved ones heard about loved ones dying in
01:35:00.800 hospitals where we couldn't visit them because of uh government bureaucrats making decisions for us
01:35:05.580 instead of uh the process playing out through a you know a legislative body and so separation of
01:35:10.920 powers matters that protects our fundamental rights and our freedoms the constitution is the
01:35:15.360 best bulwark against authoritarianism and tyranny and i think we've got to continue to
01:35:19.300 reaffirm from it in lawsuits like missouri v biden i talked to um uh shoot what's his name alan dershowitz
01:35:28.520 uh a couple of weeks ago and he said he's keeping a chart of bananas and he said i'm up to six bananas if
01:35:37.380 you get ten bananas we're a banana of a republic and there's no there's just no turning back
01:35:41.780 and he said the what's going on with the president and the attorneys he said is extraordinarily disturbing
01:35:51.580 um and he said we're on the verge of just no way back from a banana republic do you believe that
01:35:58.880 i do i think it's shameful what's being done to president trump and his legal team and others
01:36:05.260 that again you know questioning the government questioning the operation of government is a
01:36:10.100 first amendment right that's a fundamental right it's no accident but it's in the very first
01:36:14.080 amendment of the bill of rights it's a right of conscious uh you know it's absolute and political
01:36:18.900 speech is the highest order of protected speech in the land and that is by design and we you know that
01:36:24.500 you can you need to look no further than these communist dictatorships or stalinist russia or even
01:36:30.160 nazi germany to see what can happen when there isn't some structure in place to protect us from
01:36:36.380 the government and here in missouri v biden we can demonstrate that the government has been
01:36:40.080 weaponized uh to violate our right to free speech certainly in the instance of those prosecutions
01:36:44.780 we can demonstrate that the criminal justice system has been weaponized to go after joe biden's
01:36:48.760 political opponents it is shameful do you have um do you have any uh re can you give any reassurance
01:36:56.540 that the they're not going to just keep doing it because that seems to be what the biden administration
01:37:01.620 does they get a court case they don't like even if it's the supreme court and they're like they're just
01:37:05.180 going to do it anyway yeah that's that's exactly right i mean look they they should be elevating
01:37:10.320 the rules of the game above the players and the outcomes but they've completely abandoned that
01:37:14.340 approach and it undermines the rule of law this country's national identity is our constitution
01:37:18.860 we all got on board with this concept that the constitution exists to protect us from the
01:37:22.960 government and the government protects to exist to protect our rights and yet here that's completely
01:37:27.380 been inverted and perverted uh to suppress american free speech and go after political opponents
01:37:32.260 using the criminal justice system again it's shameful i wish i could say it was going to stop
01:37:36.040 the biden administration has the attitude that they get to do whatever they want until someone
01:37:39.700 tells them to stop well i will stand up take them to court and and tell them to stop that's my job as
01:37:44.820 attorney general for the state of missouri and it look look at the court order again in missouri v biden
01:37:49.160 the court said that every social media user was impacted by the government censorship it's not just the
01:37:55.280 individuals that are de-emphasized the platform because the government changed the algorithms
01:37:59.340 changed the government demanded and the uh big tech acquiesced to the change in the censorship
01:38:04.900 protocols and it's not just the speakers whose rights were violated it's the listeners
01:38:09.720 unbelievable andrew thank you for the fight appreciate it congratulations on the win
01:38:15.080 thank you so much for having me on all the best to you and your listeners you bet

01:39:07.260 was cross-eyed while she was looking at her you know we deleted all of those pictures that we used

01:41:46.040 thank you everybody this ends the press conference listen to that how they just cut him off

01:42:40.240 can you imagine can you imagine imagine saying that i mean there is nothing worse than nuclear war
01:42:48.140 nothing 1.5 degrees celsius is worse than a global nuclear war how i mean that is a bonkers statement
01:42:59.540 a bonker like any there's no equivalent that you can come up with on the on the right i was gonna say
01:43:05.360 what if a republican said but like there's no equivalent to how crazy of a statement that is

01:43:17.540 um they are talking about putting aerosol up into the upper atmosphere uh that have particles that
01:43:25.320 will reflect reflect the sun back out into space okay so it cuts down it's all part of the geoengineering
01:43:31.260 stuff they've been working on which is crazy let's let's let's no let's not do that okay um but they
01:43:37.220 say it'll take the temperature down by two degrees celsius what the hell are we and it's it's like
01:43:43.460 50 billion dollars to do yeah the hell are we doing everything else for right why yeah you want to work
01:43:51.220 you want to have a bunch of nerds to research this stuff in case everything spins out of control in
01:43:56.620 the future sure go ahead go ahead spend some endowment dollars on that universities that's that's 0.90
01:44:01.760 our global warming effort because seriously i mean that all that stuff could theoretically solve it
01:44:06.420 now i think the the ramifications of some of that stuff might not be so positive but you think but
01:44:11.600 i mean if it was totally out of control 1972 they said let's put black soot yeah on the north and 0.95

01:46:16.460 Uh, say again?
01:46:19.460 You've got your 956, did you understand that transmission?
01:46:22.460 Yeah, that transmission, he said it was unreasonable. It sounded like someone said they have a bomb on board.
01:46:27.460 Sir, did you hear the 956 where the air probably just said he had a bomb on board?
01:46:30.460 He said there was a bomb on board.
01:46:33.460 That's what we thought. We just, uh, we didn't get it clear.
01:46:37.460 That aircraft, you can't get a hold of it. Has he turned to the east now?
01:46:40.460 He just turned to the east also.
01:46:42.460 956, we had a visual out of this standby.
01:46:44.460 Do you have a visual on them now?
01:46:46.460 Uh, we did, but we lost them in the turn.
01:46:48.460 If you can make a turn back to a 220 heading, let me know if you can see them.
01:46:50.460 Yeah, yeah.
01:46:51.460 We're making a turn at 956.
01:46:52.460 Yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:46:58.460 Okay, American 106 and executive 956, we just lost a target on that aircraft.
01:47:05.460 Man, Z100 852.
01:47:08.460 Something weird is going on.
01:47:10.460 The World Trade Center is on fire.
01:47:12.460 Oh, my goodness.
01:47:13.460 Seriously, the top of the building.
01:47:14.460 We're trying to get information.
01:47:16.460 The top level of one of the...
01:47:18.460 ...news to unfold from New York City.
01:47:20.460 A plane crashed.
01:47:22.460 My sister's in that building. 0.74
01:47:24.460 Okay.
01:47:25.460 And I hope she's okay, and I gotta run to New York.
01:47:27.460 Oh, my gosh.
01:47:28.460 It's a complete pandemic.
01:47:29.460 First of all, calm down.
01:47:30.460 There's raining papers and ashes and...
01:47:32.460 Everything.
01:47:33.460 Everything.
01:47:34.460 It's 145.
01:47:35.460 It's 155.
01:47:36.460 People are jumping out the windows!
01:47:41.460 Okay.
01:47:42.460 I don't want to jump this off.
01:47:43.460 Thank you so much.
01:47:44.460 Can you follow us and him signron?
01:47:45.460 Oh! 0.60
01:47:46.460 That's a huge explosion.
01:47:47.460 Those are vonquéty consequences.
01:47:48.460 Yeah.
01:47:49.460 That's good.
01:47:50.460 God, that was a huge explosion.
01:47:55.640 People are jumping out the windows.
01:47:57.900 Over there, they're jumping out the windows.
01:48:00.640 A second plane has now flown in.
01:48:03.060 Wait, explosion at the Pentagon?
01:48:04.240 A third location is coming.
01:48:06.200 I don't have words to describe what I'm witnessing right now.
01:48:10.960 Effective immediately until further notice.
01:48:13.380 Flight operations in the National Airspace System by United States Civil Aircraft
01:48:17.520 and foreign civil and military aircraft are prohibited.
01:48:21.920 Freedom itself was attacked this morning by a faceless coward.
01:48:26.460 And freedom will be defended.
01:48:28.820 Oh, God. Oh, my God.
01:48:31.940 One of the World Trade Towers has collapsed and fallen.
01:48:36.820 It's a whole freaking evening.
01:48:38.680 It's happening.
01:48:40.660 I got no power.
01:48:43.540 Let's go.
01:48:44.980 Let's go.
01:48:45.980 Let's get it.
01:48:47.520 I just have seen anything like this.
01:49:01.920 I've got five patients.
01:49:03.800 They need to be...
01:49:04.320 We got an ambulance full of cops and pedestrians.
01:49:06.800 We don't have more time.
01:49:09.500 We found this to be...
01:49:10.440 We got another child that just came down 10-13.
01:49:12.920 Let me out! 1.00
01:49:13.980 I'm the one from the back!
01:49:15.360 We got all the cops away from the building.
01:49:16.860 We got a female officer down there. 1.00
01:49:20.320 I'm the one from the back!
01:49:21.400 A female officer, where are you now, kid? 1.00
01:49:24.660 Where are you, kid?
01:49:28.220 Where are you?
01:49:28.960 We're not going to be stung.
01:49:34.500 We're not going to be deterred.
01:49:36.600 We're not going to stay at home.
01:49:38.420 We're not going to be frightened.
01:49:39.800 We're going to live our lives as Americans.
01:49:42.560 We're not going to be prohibited.
01:49:44.700 We're not going to beuttering.
01:49:48.060 We're all partners.
01:49:49.700 All got to stick together.
01:49:59.400 My God.
01:50:00.400 Look at this guy land without the towers bene.

01:50:13.520 This is Glenn Beck.
01:50:17.500 Dateline, New York.
01:50:20.440 In one of the most audacious attacks ever,
01:50:24.140 terrorists hijacked two airliners,
01:50:27.400 crashed them into the World Trade Center
01:50:29.060 in a coordinated series of blows today
01:50:32.980 that brought down the twin 110-story towers.
01:50:39.420 Thousands may be dead.
01:50:41.780 58,000 people work at the World Trade Center.
01:50:46.580 Sean, it's me.
01:50:47.680 I just wanted to let you know I love you.
01:50:49.640 And I'm stuck in this building.
01:50:51.440 A plane hit the building where mom went off.
01:50:53.600 We don't know if I first left the smoke
01:50:55.320 and we just wanted you to know that I love you.
01:50:57.400 What is the plane?
01:50:58.460 What is the plane?
01:50:58.800 What is the plane?
01:50:59.300 What is the plane?
01:50:59.740 One plane?
01:51:02.240 United Flight 93 crashed north of Somerset County Airport,
01:51:08.640 a small airport 80 miles southeast of Pittsburgh.

01:52:15.100 22 years ago.
01:52:18.200 Today.
01:52:20.900 What a different world we live in.
01:52:23.260 We remember for those of us who were alive at the time.
01:52:32.880 We remember it.
01:52:33.960 Most kids that were born around or after 9-11 will have few memories.
01:52:44.560 I urge you to go into the podcast today and play that for your children because they're not learning about it in school.
01:52:53.060 There's no emotion to it whatsoever.
01:52:56.520 And it is the thing that set us on the path we're on today.
01:53:01.260 It was a wild ride.
01:53:17.020 The first day, it was horrible.
01:53:19.200 The second day, 9-12, I was standing, I think, in St. Petersburg, Florida, looking to give blood.
01:53:31.260 And I was just standing in line with a bunch of strangers.
01:53:35.220 We were all giving blood.
01:53:36.500 Blood was not needed.
01:53:37.920 We just didn't know it at the time.
01:53:39.440 We thought thousands would be trapped and found.
01:53:43.760 And we all came together.
01:53:49.400 And it was a remarkable few days.
01:53:52.800 It really was.
01:53:54.740 Earlier, you read something that you wrote on September 12th.
01:53:59.500 I think it was 11th or 12th of 2001.
01:54:02.180 And it was something that you recorded for the radio show.
01:54:07.140 We played it every year for many, many years.
01:54:09.820 And at one point, you talk about the country and how we are like the firefighters.
01:54:18.000 We don't run from burning buildings.
01:54:21.040 We run into them.
01:54:22.780 And I've heard you say it so many times.
01:54:26.040 And it always seemed like, yes, we are.
01:54:29.860 Does it still?
01:54:30.560 No, we are.
01:54:31.080 I, you know, no, no.
01:54:32.900 I mean, I think my honest answer at this moment is it does not feel that way at all.
01:54:37.280 And for the first time, when you said it earlier today, as you were mentioning it, the thing
01:54:41.340 that popped into my head was the withdrawal of Afghanistan.
01:54:44.780 It's like we ran from the burning building.
01:54:49.220 We no longer are the people who run toward them.
01:54:52.160 But see, see, this is the thing that always made America unique that we have forgotten.
01:54:59.540 We are not the government.
01:55:03.420 Okay.
01:55:04.900 The government is separate because it has separated itself.
01:55:11.760 We, the people, are supposed to be the government.
01:55:16.180 We're reflected by our government.
01:55:19.880 Right now, there's no reflection.
01:55:22.160 And I can prove that to be true, that we still are the people that run into the building.
01:55:27.840 The government is not what happened on Afghanistan.
01:55:33.000 That happened on a Monday, and people were falling from the sky on our planes as we ran
01:55:38.720 with our tail between our legs, and we left all of those people.
01:55:44.120 What did we do?
01:55:45.040 Two days later, this audience started a drive to raise money to go rescue those people.
01:55:52.160 And 18,000 people rescued by this audience.
01:55:58.320 You were the firefighter that ran into the building.
01:56:03.000 You just didn't have any boots.
01:56:04.740 You didn't have a helmet or a shield, and nobody mentioned it afterwards.
01:56:11.060 Nobody did a big tribute to you.
01:56:14.840 We should.
01:56:16.460 You so deserve it.
01:56:18.100 You so deserve it.
01:56:19.540 Don't forget those things, because I struggled with that this morning as I re-read, and go
01:56:32.020 back and listen to hour one of the podcast.
01:56:34.520 I re-read parts of the speech that Stu was talking about, or the essay that Stu was talking
01:56:41.800 about.
01:56:42.840 And I wondered, how much of that do we still believe?
01:56:46.380 You can find it, actually, in written form at glennbeck.com.
01:56:49.500 Um, and the question on glennbeck.com is, do you still believe this?
01:56:55.600 Do you still believe this?
01:56:57.340 And that particular phrase bothered me as well as it did Stu.
01:57:03.000 As I was putting the show together, you know, early, early this morning, I struggled with
01:57:08.700 that particular line.
01:57:10.040 And then Stu comes in about an hour later, and he's like, yeah, you know, I don't know
01:57:14.620 how I feel about this line.
01:57:16.580 I'm like, I know, right?
01:57:19.720 But when he said it to me, I remembered you and Afghanistan.
01:57:23.400 I'm like, wait a minute.
01:57:24.980 We still are.
01:57:27.120 We still are those people.
01:57:33.540 There's a lot of good things that are happening.
01:57:35.960 It's just that the, it's just that the bad things are so bad, so bad.
01:57:45.200 Yeah, they really are.
01:57:47.220 I mean, if you go back and listen to that, it takes you back to those, that moment.
01:57:51.000 I mean, I remember we, as we said earlier, we went out to Outback Steakhouse in, in, in
01:57:55.360 Tampa and, uh, and ate.
01:57:57.660 And I just remember being at such a weird moment.
01:58:00.100 Like, honestly, the only other moment that I can feel, the only other meal I can remember
01:58:03.920 being so weird was the first meal after COVID that we went out and ate inside.
01:58:08.900 And it felt so, we don't, we're in Texas.
01:58:11.600 That was, it was May 1st, 2020 here in Texas when we, when we did that.
01:58:15.060 Yeah, so it was only a couple months afterwards.
01:58:16.700 But even then, it felt weird.
01:58:18.240 It was like 25% capacity, really eerie.
01:58:21.620 Like, no one was there.
01:58:22.720 The glass cubes they would put up.
01:58:24.180 It was basically.
01:58:24.780 Because the germs, because the germs go high when you're standing.
01:58:27.920 You sit down.
01:58:28.600 Don't worry about it.
01:58:29.040 They don't, that's the good thing about COVID.
01:58:30.520 But, um, it's a high, high, uh, circulation disease.
01:58:34.820 Uh, but it's just a, it was a weird moment and everything felt like it changed that day.
01:58:39.240 And I do feel like, you know, some people brought this up with, uh, there was a controversy with
01:58:43.120 Vivek Ramaswamy, uh, recently where he kind of like, you know, said, he said, it was actually
01:58:47.400 on the, it was on Blaze TV.
01:58:49.380 Become a member at blazetv.com slash Glenn.
01:58:51.340 Um, but it was on Blaze TV where he was asked about 9-11 and he, uh, by Alex Stein.
01:58:55.440 And, and he said, well, you know, I don't think we really have the truth on all of it.
01:58:59.200 And I think, you know, he's talked to, tried to build that out and everything.
01:59:03.240 Um, but one of the, one of the ways people talked about that was that he was really young
01:59:08.940 when that happened and maybe doesn't hold it in the, he didn't, maybe, it maybe doesn't
01:59:13.620 set off all of the, the reverence that it does for people who are older, you know?
01:59:18.320 And I don't know if that's, you know, look, he's, he wants to be president of the United
01:59:21.400 States.
01:59:21.660 He needs to understand that, of course.
01:59:22.740 And I think he does, um, but it's interesting to think about that because he's what, 36,
01:59:28.700 37, something like that, 38 years old, people in their twenties, like have no reverence for
01:59:35.440 this at all.
01:59:36.100 Like, it's just this bad, it's like what I mean with Pearl Harbor, like it's a really
01:59:40.000 bad thing.
01:59:40.540 I remember, you know, I've read about it.
01:59:42.440 Like, it sounds terrible, but like, I had no emotional connection to that, you know?
01:59:47.260 And I think now we're at that point where that's 9-11, you know, every once in a while
01:59:51.660 I do the math and it's terrifying how fast long ago that is.
01:59:56.520 I mean, it's 22 years.
01:59:58.280 I mean, the difference between, you know, 2001, you go back, it's like your life is passing
02:00:04.220 by quickly, but we're forgetting about that.
02:00:07.300 And it's something we need to remember.
02:00:09.300 So at least we do it once a year.
02:00:11.520 Pass it on to your kids tonight.
02:00:13.360 Make sure you listen to the podcast, get it wherever you get your podcasts.

02:01:34.560 Welcome to the Glenn Beck Program.
02:01:52.520 There are so many stories that we have in today's show prep that you just need to see.
02:02:00.080 One of them is from the Washington Examiner on the Justice Department lawsuit against Elon Musk.
02:02:08.220 It's insane.
02:02:10.880 Insane.
02:02:12.200 They're saying that he had to be sued by the federal government, DOJ, because he would only hire U.S. citizens.
02:02:23.600 And he would discriminate against non-citizens and, you know, asylum seekers.
02:02:29.940 And the DOJ's own website says that you cannot apply for a job unless you're a U.S. citizen.
02:02:38.720 U.S. citizenship is required, according to the DOJ.
02:02:42.780 So, what kind of a lawsuit is this, exactly?
02:02:47.840 It is happening everywhere.
02:02:50.660 Everywhere.
02:02:51.460 It is becoming vital to stand up and speak out.
