01:21:48.820 San Francisco who specialized in this and he diagnosed me with having gender issues and and said that I

01:21:56.520 needed to undergo hormone therapy and wait the two appropriate years and then have surgery then by

01:22:03.740 Dr. Biber in Colorado and so I I thought well this is pretty radical but you know I've been struggling

01:22:10.300 with this now you know for 36 years by that time and so um the feelings are extremely strong and and my

01:22:18.160 heart goes out to anybody who's struggling with him but I listened to the guy as though he was an

01:22:22.740 authority on it and two years later I went you know uh I got my second letter of approval went and had the

01:22:28.880 surgery in 1983 I was an executive for American Honda Motor Company at the time and they promptly

01:22:35.320 terminated me which was you know I think appropriate actually uh wait wait wait wait wait why why well

01:22:44.460 well you know when somebody's struggling with that uh depth of issues personal issues they're not going

01:22:52.220 to be effective um in doing their work I I totally understand that and and so um I I've never begrudged

01:37:53.200 financially destitute and so um you know there's some things you just weren't able to do uh so you

01:38:09.280 phalloplasty which is putting things back together isn't totally uh it's not going to function as it once

01:38:17.260 did and so that can actually be another deeper psychological issue uh after you detransition

01:38:24.480 and have the surgery some of them uh reports are that they work fairly well uh other reports is they

01:38:31.420 don't so it's a kind of a mixed bag well you wouldn't have any feeling down there i mean it's it's
