Transcript

00:00:00.000 Hey, today's podcast is great.
00:00:01.940 We start with a death cult that has infiltrated America on the second anniversary of the Hamas-Israel attack.
00:00:08.900 But it's not just that. It's Chicago. It's what's happening in Virginia.
00:00:13.400 You have to understand that we are now battling a death cult and what that means for our civilization.
00:00:21.600 Not just America, but the Western world.
00:00:24.480 It's a fundamental cornerstone that is being removed.
00:00:28.280 Also, the guy who's running for AG in Virginia, Jason Mieres, he joins us, talks about what does it mean to have an attorney general,
00:00:40.200 the chief lawmaker in Virginia, possibly be the guy who says, yeah, I think we should put bullets in the heads of our political opponents.
00:00:48.420 And Buck Sexton, with a story, he just got back meeting with the president of Taiwan and all of the officials over there.
00:00:54.840 They are preparing for war with China, and they need our help.
00:00:59.960 And he's got a pretty stark warning for us, all on today's podcast.
00:01:04.840 Cold weather is coming. Here's a question most people never think to ask.
00:01:07.960 If the power goes out in the middle of the winter, how do you stay warm?
00:01:11.260 It's one thing to stock up on food and batteries, but when the grid goes down and the temperature drops, most homes have zero backup for heat.
00:01:17.540 That's why my Patriot Supply has the Vesta.
00:01:21.120 It's an off-grid space heater that runs without electricity, and it uses indoor-safe canned heat.
00:01:26.860 Indoor-safe canned heat, really important.
00:01:29.940 A fuel that stores safely, burns cleanly, and keeps you warm when everything else fails.
00:01:35.140 The Vesta is portable, compact, simple to use.
00:01:38.140 You light it, you set it, and you stay warm.
00:01:40.220 Now here's the smart part.
00:01:41.840 It even doubles as a stove, so you can boil water or heat food while you wait for the power to return, and you'll be ready when you need it.
00:01:49.160 You can get a Vesta and a bunch of other free gifts when you order the winter prep special for my Patriot Supply.
00:01:54.940 Just go to mypatriotsupply.com slash glenn.
00:01:57.580 See everything included.
00:01:58.800 The offer's not going to last long, neither will this nice fall weather.
00:02:03.080 So go to mypatriotsupply.com slash glenn.
00:02:06.620 mypatriotsupply.com slash glenn.
00:02:10.220 Hello, America.
00:02:13.940 You know we've been fighting every single day.
00:02:15.840 We push back against the lies, the censorship, the nonsense of the mainstream media that they're trying to feed you.
00:02:22.100 We work tirelessly to bring you the unfiltered truth because you deserve it.
00:02:27.060 But to keep this fight going, we need you.
00:02:29.520 Right now, would you take a moment and rate and review the Glenn Beck Podcast?
00:02:32.880 Give us five stars and leave a comment because every single review helps us break through Big Tech's algorithm
00:02:39.100 to reach more Americans who need to hear the truth.
00:02:42.060 This isn't a podcast.
00:02:43.460 This is a movement.
00:02:45.120 And you're part of it, a big part of it.
00:02:46.920 So if you believe in what we're doing, you want more people to wake up, help us push this podcast to the top.
00:02:51.980 Rate, review, share.
00:02:53.600 Together, we'll make a difference.
00:02:55.620 And thanks for standing with us.
00:02:56.940 Now let's get to work.
00:02:57.920 You're listening to the best of the Glenn Beck Program.
00:03:10.480 Buck Sexton, welcome to the program.
00:03:13.640 How was your trip overseas?
00:03:16.420 Oh, Glenn, it was incredible, but it was sobering.
00:03:19.720 I actually just left the Pentagon.
00:03:21.300 I don't know if you knew, Glenn, that you were going to be training the next generation of leadership for the Trump administration
00:03:28.700 when you started the Blaze, but if you start to look around at the FD org chart, all of—
00:03:35.020 They're all Blaze alumni.
00:03:36.860 Yeah, the young cubs that you brought in when you started the Blaze are kind of running the government.
00:03:42.000 It's pretty amazing.
00:03:42.720 It is.
00:03:44.640 I don't know if that's a good thing, but it is.
00:03:47.380 I think it is.
00:03:47.860 Yeah, I do.
00:03:48.320 Well, I think it's definitely better than the old team.
00:03:51.120 We can agree on that.
00:03:52.200 Amen.
00:03:52.760 So, look, the situation in Taiwan has never been more serious, and I thought that you, in particular, Glenn, would just seize upon the reality here of a China that is arming up.
00:04:05.820 And I know people have seen these stories for years about problems in the South China Sea or problems in the Strait of Taiwan,
00:04:13.220 but the cutoff in contact that has occurred in the last few years, the cutoff in trade, in travel between Taiwan and China,
00:04:21.780 the arming up of China that's going on.
00:04:24.840 Taiwan is gearing up itself for the defense of its island.
00:04:28.380 And I met with the president, the vice president, their national security council, spoke to TSMC, which is a very important Taiwan semiconductor manufacturing company,
00:04:38.080 critical technology for the entire world.
00:04:41.300 I mean, they make 90 percent of the high end chips that we need for our phones, for our cars, and certainly for the AI future that we're entering right now.
00:04:49.800 And, Glenn, the Chinese are getting ready for this, and Xi Jinping has said it's coming in 2027, and Taiwan is saying, you guys got to give us the tools, and we'll defend ourselves.
00:04:59.580 Are we giving them the tools?
00:05:02.280 The answer is yes, but at what speed?
00:05:05.660 It's remarkable to see, I think, the change in their society.
00:05:09.700 And they want to be very clear about this, meaning the government.
00:05:12.920 And, look, part of why I think they wanted me to come over and speak to everybody is they realized that not only is speaking to CNN International not going to get the decision makers in this administration interested,
00:05:24.480 it's probably a negative, right?
00:05:25.940 It's probably going in the wrong direction.
00:05:28.760 So they want people like you and me and our friend Sean Hannity and others to look at this issue, understand it, and present it to the American people,
00:05:37.940 because it affects us in very real ways.
00:05:40.680 The problem right now is our manufacturing capacity for the weapons that they want to buy, and they're very clear about this, they want to buy them,
00:05:48.960 they're not asking for any handouts, is strained in large part because of Ukraine.
00:05:53.920 So you're starting to see that our military industrial capacity for just providing the tools to allies, the weapons to allies,
00:06:02.220 they need to defend themselves is already at a bit of a breaking point, and China knows that.
00:06:07.100 And they are ramping up their shipbuilding, their missile building, everything at a capacity that has honestly never been seen before.
00:06:14.580 So I, you know, I have talked to several people about Taiwan.
00:06:18.460 There is no, we don't have the supply chain to actually go in and, you know, fight a war in defense of Taiwan.
00:06:25.240 It's just, it's impossible.
00:06:26.440 I'm very concerned about what's happening in South Korea.
00:06:30.300 That thing is being given to the Chinese.
00:06:32.980 We are about to lose a massive ally there.
00:06:35.820 It's, it's gone authoritarian.
00:06:37.820 They're arresting pastors and everything else there.
00:06:40.460 Well, go ahead.
00:06:42.420 No, I was going to say, this is the ballpark of China.
00:06:45.240 China is not in danger of invasion or military incursion from anybody else.
00:06:50.760 So the breakneck speed at which they are building out their military, and I mean, even in the last few years, I mean, this is relative even to what we've seen in China in the past.
00:07:01.020 This is truly unprecedented.
00:07:03.540 And they're doing this for purpose.
00:07:05.840 And the purpose is obviously an invasion of Taiwan in the next few years, could be sooner.
00:07:12.000 We don't know.
00:07:12.780 But also, beyond that, to project into the, beyond the first into the second island chain, and they want to dominate the Pacific Ocean.
00:07:21.740 I mean, this is all part of the long-term strategy, and they're playing this thing out.
00:07:26.320 And look, Trump is very aware of this.
00:07:28.320 He's got his negotiation, trade negotiation going on with Taiwan.
00:07:31.140 He's got big negotiations that are going to be happening with China.
00:07:33.960 But I just think the American people should be aware of what a massive – we're talking about trillions of dollars of wealth that would evaporate from markets overnight at the beginning of an invasion of Taiwan.
00:07:47.380 Never mind that China would be able to seize the most sensitive and important technology in the world right now, which is advanced semiconductor manufacturing done by TSMC, as I mentioned, and others.
00:07:57.220 Can I say something controversial?
00:08:00.320 I hope that we actually have convinced Taiwan or we have a plan of destroying those labs should there be an invasion of Taiwan.
00:08:12.200 We cannot let those chip manufacturers fall into the hands of China.
00:08:17.740 Can't.
00:08:19.100 This is absolutely correct.
00:08:20.780 And it's a point that was hit on over and over, which is if you think that the Chinese are going to be dominating us based on military output and capacity in that theater of operations, just wait until they control the chips.
00:08:36.000 And this is, again – I feel like it's very important to separate this from Ukraine, which is more of a – it's more of an argument about sovereignty and human rights and things like that.
00:08:46.180 In this case, everything that you rely on in your life that is high tech, all the chips in your car, China would control them and control the supply of them.
00:08:54.840 We simply cannot allow them to have that level of influence over global markets.
00:09:01.360 So the best option here, as I see it, is prevent a conflict by doing everything possible to arm up the Taiwanese.
00:09:07.460 They have an all-of-the-above defense initiative, a sort of deep societal resilience program, Glenn, where they're saying everyone is going to have to get in on this.
00:09:16.760 Now, I did talk to them about maybe a little 2A, like how about you guys arm up your population?
00:09:22.080 They're not into that.
00:09:23.260 I think that's a mistake.
00:09:24.260 But certainly in terms of keeping the power on military and medical assistance, things of that nature, they're telling their civilian population to gear up for this.
00:09:34.680 So this is something that's going to get only hotter in time.
00:09:37.560 I think the flashpoint is reaching the unavoidable reality that the status quo is going to be shaken up here.
00:09:46.920 And I know the Trump administration is looking closely at it, but I want everyone else to be paying attention to what's going on in this part of the world because it is the single area where we could have the biggest military flight.
00:09:59.780 You mentioned South Korea, North Korea.
00:10:02.100 And South Koreans are pretty armed up for that, I've got to say, and we already have a base there.
00:10:06.320 Taiwan, I think, is a place where China views it as ripe for the taking increasingly.
00:10:10.780 It's Hong Kong.
00:10:11.380 And we've got to stop that.
00:10:12.500 Yeah, it's Hong Kong.
00:10:13.240 The minute we start, the minute we're distracted, they'll take it.
00:10:16.120 Somebody said to me, I got a briefing on Taiwan about two years ago, and they said,
00:10:23.900 China can't take Taiwan yet because they don't have the landing craft.
00:10:28.540 It's going to take them about three years before they're really ready to go.
00:10:32.220 That was a year and a half ago.
00:10:34.220 I don't know if that timeline still holds, but I wonder, I think when we see a war in Taiwan,
00:10:43.120 it is not going to be like a war that we have ever seen before.
00:10:47.760 I mean, just watch their drone shows alone.
00:10:50.660 You're going to be overwhelmed with drones that you would just never be able to defend against.
00:10:55.900 Well, this is where what we've seen, and again, this is a big part of my discussions over there and in the interviews that I did,
00:11:03.380 Ukraine is really a proving ground for this new form of warfare.
00:11:08.060 Whatever one thinks about that situation politically, the pace of drone innovation that is going on in that country is remarkable.
00:11:18.340 It's incredible to see that they're able to do this as quickly as they are, and really what we're going to see, Glenn,
00:11:26.140 is drones and AI and innovation are going to be a much bigger part of military readiness and military capability than we've ever seen before.
00:11:34.380 I actually toured a boat manufacturer where, guess what, they're doing autonomous suicide speedboats that explode, essentially.
00:11:47.320 And this is increasingly what the future is going to look like in terms of defense capability over there.
00:11:52.620 So AI, drones, tech, it's going to be a whole different kind of war if this war kicks off.
00:11:58.900 And if they take Taiwan, then they have the chips that we need to be able to defend ourselves.
00:12:06.220 Is there any work being done in a realistic way to get that kind of clean room and ability over here in the United States so we can...
00:12:21.900 This is where Trump and his team are absolutely on it.
00:12:25.780 They're pushing TSMC, which is a company I keep bringing up.
00:12:29.800 It's basically a trillion-dollar market cap.
00:12:32.500 It's one of the 10 most valuable companies in the world based out of Taiwan,
00:12:35.660 and they're the ones that make 50% of global chips, 90% of the high-end chips.
00:12:40.760 They've opened a huge facility in Arizona, and I think they're getting close to being able to do 30% of their manufacturing capacity in Arizona,
00:12:50.060 and they're looking to ramp that up.
00:12:51.720 But this kind of stuff is, I mean, Glenn, the level of sophistication that this technology,
00:12:58.340 it's like one ten-thousandth of a human hair in width, some of the things that they're doing on these chips.
00:13:05.000 It's like magic.
00:13:06.280 It's hard to understand if you're not in that industry with things they're doing.
00:13:10.920 So you can't, you know, it's not like you get a U-Haul, you pack it up, and you say, let's set up next door.
00:13:15.500 So there is this initiative to do more of it here stateside, but you've also got to see it from their perspective.
00:13:21.980 They realize, hey, this is kind of our golden goose in all respects.
00:13:25.860 It's what's made this country economically such a force, but it also means that we cannot ignore,
00:13:32.320 and to be clear, the Trump administration is not ignoring it, but we cannot ignore what happens there,
00:13:37.220 because if there is an invasion of Taiwan, everybody, you know, you want to talk your 401k, your markets,
00:13:43.260 and also all the supply chain you rely on, it is in a crisis mode immediately.
00:13:49.720 Buck, how far away do you think we are from a crisis like this, should it happen?
00:13:56.180 For me, the big question is, will Xi wait until post-Trump presidency?
00:14:01.640 And I think that a lot of people believe, so would Xi Jinping, the premier of China, hold off,
00:14:07.100 I tend to think that he's not going to want to tangle with Trump on this one.
00:14:11.860 I think he's savvy enough to know that that's probably a bad idea.
00:14:15.920 However, there are some caveats there.
00:14:18.000 One is, well, I don't think he's going to wait so that then he can have, let's say, a J.D. Vance,
00:14:22.980 maybe Marco Rubio administration.
00:14:24.820 That's not going to be any better for him.
00:14:27.320 So there's a bit of a gamble or a calculation there.
00:14:30.060 And then also, this is, it reminds me, Glenn, of the Tom Clancy book, A Debt of Honor.
00:14:36.620 I was a big Tom Clancy guy back in the day, and it's probably why, yeah, he's amazing.
00:14:40.460 It's probably why I joined the CIA, because I read the Tom Clancy books.
00:14:43.520 And in Debt of Honor, the Japanese, actually, a nationalist Japanese, ultra-nationalist regime,
00:14:49.300 seizes back Guam and some islands.
00:14:51.380 And they do it so quickly that their pitch is, hey, guys, I know you're upset about this,
00:14:55.900 but we can just stop right now and we'll make it up to you.
00:14:59.920 And, you know, no big deal with kind of the way that it's phrased in the book.
00:15:04.620 I think that China is hoping that they can do a blitzkrieg where they get a surrender so quickly
00:15:10.320 and they're able to overrun Taiwan's defenses so rapidly that the U.S. isn't even able to respond
00:15:16.580 if we choose to do so.
00:15:18.660 We still have the strategic ambiguity, and that's where the calculations get really, really challenging,
00:15:25.960 because the U.S. isn't prepositioned to be able to deploy military force.
00:15:31.200 If Taiwan surrenders, that's probably ballgame.
00:15:34.920 So it's tough to wargame this one.
00:15:37.300 It is.
00:15:38.200 You know what really concerns me is another COVID-style event.
00:15:42.660 Some big, could happen in our economy, could be a 2008 kind of crash.
00:15:47.240 Anything that takes the Americans' attention away from the world.
00:15:53.240 We saw this happen during COVID.
00:15:55.040 Remember those millions of people that were in the streets of Hong Kong?
00:15:58.580 Then COVID happened, and all of them were disappeared?
00:16:02.100 China just marched in and did it.
00:16:04.560 And I fear that kind of an event.
00:16:07.160 Yeah, well, Hong Kong is unfortunately viewed as a harbinger of things to come for Taiwan.
00:16:13.560 Hong Kong has been consumed by the communist beast.
00:16:18.260 I mean, the CCP has managed to break covenants, no surprise.
00:16:23.420 They're commies.
00:16:24.020 They lie.
00:16:24.540 They cheat.
00:16:25.000 They steal.
00:16:25.360 I actually had a sit-down with somebody who is the right-hand man to the publisher of Apple Daily,
00:16:35.960 who is in the biggest newspaper in Hong Kong.
00:16:38.140 He's been in prison for, I think, six years now.
00:16:41.380 So they have completely stamped out freedom.
00:16:43.760 And the way that people in Taiwan who have spent time in Hong Kong describe it is the eradication of hope.
00:16:49.360 And that has happened in Hong Kong.
00:16:51.620 And they don't want that to happen in Taiwan.
00:16:54.400 But China is...
00:16:55.100 I want to tell you, Buck, you really...
00:16:57.960 I'd love to sit down and talk to you about South Korea,
00:17:00.620 because that same thing is happening in South Korea right now.
00:17:03.680 It's coming fast in South Korea.
00:17:06.900 And it's China-run.
00:17:08.600 So thank you for bringing me up to speed on this.
00:17:11.200 Are you back on the air today?
00:17:12.880 Yeah, I'll be back on noon Eastern.
00:17:15.020 And Glenn, I always appreciate you knowing that when there's a story I got to hit,
00:17:18.560 you're right there with me and you support it.
00:17:20.520 Thank you so much.
00:17:21.300 You bet.
00:17:21.700 Bye-bye.
00:17:21.980 Buck Sexton, the Clay Travis and Buck Sexton show,
00:17:25.000 which follows this on Premier Radio Network.
00:17:28.440 They took over for Rush Limbaugh.
00:17:30.860 And Buck is a really wise, really wise guy.
00:17:35.020 He was kind of going to finance and he was sitting in my office.
00:17:37.100 And I'm like, don't do it, man.
00:17:38.580 Don't do it.
00:17:39.020 Come work for me.
00:17:40.160 And he saw the light.
00:17:42.140 And what an amazing career he has had.
00:17:46.380 Let me tell you about Patriot Mobile.
00:17:48.560 What are the things that really matter in your life?
00:17:50.760 How about that phone in your pocket?
00:17:53.460 It'll be old next year.
00:17:54.640 It'll be scratched, replaced, upgraded, thrown away, or sold.
00:17:57.860 Not particularly important, is it?
00:18:00.240 But what about the mobile company that you pay every month?
00:18:03.480 The one that keeps showing up month after month.
00:18:06.320 The bill that you're sending money to and that is being used to build something.
00:18:10.840 It's either healthy or feed something you wish didn't even exist.
00:18:14.740 Patriot Mobile gives you the simple choice.
00:18:16.440 Keep the coverage you need on the same network that you trust.

00:18:49.240 Now, back to the podcast.
00:18:51.260 This is the best of the Glenn Beck program, and we really want to thank you for listening.
00:18:55.460 You know, what sets America apart from really, I shouldn't say America,
00:19:03.000 what sets the West apart from the rest of the world is we don't like death cults.
00:19:08.980 And it comes from the Bible.
00:19:11.780 Choose life.
00:19:14.860 As they're going into the promised land, choose life.
00:19:21.500 That's what sets us apart.
00:19:23.700 That's what has defined us.
00:19:26.740 We choose to heal our enemies.
00:19:29.620 We don't ever leave somebody behind on our battlefields,
00:19:33.560 because choosing life is our highest value.
00:19:39.060 But I don't know if that's, I don't know if we're still those people anymore.
00:19:43.020 And if you lose that one thing, that life is sacred,
00:19:47.820 then you've lost the West, because you have no,
00:19:51.680 that is the basic fundamental principle.
00:19:56.020 Choose life.
00:19:57.620 So, let me start with a simple definition, so we don't get lost in labels.
00:20:04.680 Because I want to talk, I believe we are dealing with a death cult.
00:20:08.800 And in social science terms, that means any movement that,
00:20:13.460 one, sanctifies violence or death as a legitimate political tool,
00:20:19.360 and two, celebrates the destruction of perceived enemies,
00:20:23.900 and three, disciplines members to accept moral blind spots,
00:20:30.240 because the end is framed as absolute and transcendent.
00:20:37.080 That's the dictionary definition.
00:20:42.540 And it's not rhetorical flair.
00:20:45.540 It's transcendent.
00:20:49.080 It's a pattern.
00:20:51.720 Dehumanize the other.
00:20:52.960 Normalize harm.
00:20:55.500 Close off any kind of dissent.
00:20:57.780 And reward those who cross the moral line.
00:21:03.420 Have you seen that?
00:21:06.100 How do you spot it?
00:21:08.580 Well, death cults first glorify killing or harm.
00:21:13.160 You see public celebrations of enemy slaughter,
00:21:17.960 not just private outrage, but public celebrations.
00:21:21.540 So let me show you a few of these.
00:21:24.180 Let's start with October 7th.
00:21:26.180 October 7th, 2023, Hamas attacks and kills, roughly, 1,200 Israelis.
00:21:32.840 There are reports, and I've actually seen the footage of people in Gaza,
00:21:38.240 you have too, celebrating in the streets,
00:21:41.760 taking dead bodies, dragging them in the streets, and beating them.
00:21:45.420 Do you want to live in a society like that?
00:21:49.760 I don't.
00:21:51.720 Now that moment is now a public fact, and it's in the historic record of that war.
00:21:59.480 When Hamas went in and they killed women, men, and babies,
00:22:08.360 raped women while torturing them and killing them,
00:22:13.900 setting babies on fire,
00:22:16.820 we all saw this and stood arm in arm against it.
00:22:20.680 When we heard the phone call from the one kid, the Hamas guy,
00:22:29.060 who went in and was killing women and children,
00:22:32.460 and then was so proud of it, he called his mother.
00:22:35.820 Do you remember this?
00:22:37.060 Hi, Dad.
00:22:42.400 I'm talking to you from Israel.
00:22:44.400 What's up, Dad?
00:22:46.360 You're going to see I killed them with my own hands.
00:22:49.980 Your son in Israel.
00:22:52.880 Dad, may God protect you.
00:22:55.480 I'm talking to you from a Jewish woman's house.
00:22:58.160 I killed her.
00:22:59.020 I killed her with my own hands.
00:23:00.440 I killed 10 with my own hands.
00:23:01.900 Dad, 10 with my own hands.
00:23:04.080 Look at the What's Up app.
00:23:05.440 You'll see how many I killed.
00:23:06.620 I'm calling you on What's Up.
00:23:12.640 Dad, I'm in Israel.
00:23:14.080 Dad, I killed 10.
00:23:15.760 10.
00:23:17.020 10 with my own hands.
00:23:18.680 Their blood is on my hands.
00:23:20.140 Put Mom on the phone.
00:23:22.320 Mom says,
00:23:23.440 Oh, my son.
00:23:24.520 God bless you.
00:23:27.040 I killed 10 with my own hands, Mom.
00:23:30.960 Okay?
00:23:31.620 There is no middle ground on that.
00:23:35.220 That is either absolutely right or horrifically wrong.
00:23:40.180 Choose life.
00:23:43.140 Two years ago on October 7th, we said,
00:23:46.320 That's horrific.
00:23:47.900 Now, things have changed.
00:23:53.900 And let me just say this.
00:23:55.360 You don't have to believe the Israelis are right in the way they're handling this.
00:24:00.820 Okay?
00:24:01.360 You can say, I disagree with the Israelis in the way they're handling it.
00:24:05.120 I think they're doing really horrible things.
00:24:07.380 Okay?
00:24:07.580 You can say that.
00:24:09.480 But what's happening is, people are starting to say that, as well as, that's why I'm with Hamas.
00:24:17.400 Wait a minute.
00:24:21.100 You can say both sides are bad, but that's not what's happening.
00:24:25.780 The more the Israelis try to stop the legitimate death cult that is Hamas, the more the love for Hamas seems to grow.
00:24:38.600 You know, you can be on the side of life and against both sides in this conflict, but that's not happening.
00:24:45.200 The ends justify the means, it seems.
00:24:50.380 Hamas, because we don't like Israelis, Hamas was justified in setting babies on fire.
00:24:59.800 That's a death cult.
00:25:02.740 If you are now finding yourself in that position where you're finding more in common with Hamas,
00:25:09.940 not the cause, Hamas, the taking of hostages, and you're excusing any of that, you're in a death cult.
00:25:28.640 Because that's what Hamas is.
00:25:33.220 Death cults reward glee at an opponent's death.
00:25:39.940 Now let's look at that.
00:25:41.820 Let's just look at what's happening in our country.
00:25:45.520 We've seen the social media celebrations.
00:25:50.420 That came from Israel.
00:25:54.480 Called from Israel to Gaza.
00:25:57.540 So now we've heard that and we find that horrific.
00:26:01.040 What is the difference between that and this with Charlie Kirk?
00:26:05.860 There are a lot of people that are like,
00:26:08.320 no matter what side of politics you're on,
00:26:10.340 you should never celebrate something bad happening to someone.
00:26:13.480 I, on the other hand, do cheer when bad things happen to bad people.
00:26:18.340 Charlie Kirk just got shot.
00:26:20.220 Well, breaking news, folks.
00:26:26.000 Seems somebody just took a shot at one of the phantom fastest favorite five mile wide mouthpieces.
00:26:30.820 Charles Chuckle Kirk.
00:26:32.220 The glee is the same.
00:26:37.180 The death is the same.
00:26:43.820 Ritual celebration of death.
00:26:47.820 That is a cultural marker.
00:26:50.680 That is a signpost.
00:26:56.560 Death cults also tolerate or excuse violent rhetoric from authorities.
00:27:04.020 Let's go to Virginia now on that story.
00:27:06.960 In the Virginia attorney general race,
00:27:12.260 we have really violent, vile messages from one of the candidates, the Democratic candidate,
00:27:20.280 and the public statements that followed,
00:27:23.300 including the condemnations and, in some quarters, guarded defenses or tactical silence.
00:27:29.800 Silence from institutions or parties in the face of violent rhetoric is itself action.
00:27:38.520 Do you remember what Bonhoeffer said?
00:27:40.820 Silence in the face of evil is evil itself.
00:27:45.440 Silence is action because it signals what your group will tolerate.
00:27:55.820 So, what happened?
00:27:59.800 What's happening now?
00:28:05.440 I want to kill the Republican, his wife, and children.
00:28:12.580 No, no, I can double down on that.
00:28:15.120 There's others I'd kill and then I'd piss all over their graves.
00:28:20.680 I'd send them out with glee.
00:28:22.200 If I have Pol Pot, Hitler, and a Republican, and I only have two bullets,
00:28:29.860 the Republican gets two bullets in the head every time.
00:28:32.680 You're comparing Pol Pot and Adolf Hitler to a Republican for Virginia that most of us have never even heard of.
00:28:42.960 No one on the Democratic side is saying you must step down.
00:28:59.300 This is abhorrent.
00:29:02.940 The silence is action.
00:29:07.260 It is an endorsement.
00:29:09.600 You can say, well, I don't agree with that.
00:29:12.000 That's not good enough.
00:29:13.880 This is a cultural marker.
00:29:18.900 You are creating, through your silence or your actions, you are creating a society that I don't think even you want to live in in the end.
00:29:30.340 Death cults also take sacred things and they shift that sacred language and they justify and celebrate harm.
00:29:45.060 Do you remember the phrase safe, legal, and rare?
00:29:48.440 That was abortion.
00:29:49.560 Safe, legal, and rare.
00:29:51.240 It's where most people could agree.
00:29:54.680 The Democrats used to say it all the time.
00:29:56.660 We want abortion to be legal, but we want it to be safe, legal, and rare.
00:30:05.280 But now, the deliberate ending of life is something to be cheered on and to be ritualized.
00:30:17.220 Safe, legal, and rare.
00:30:19.260 No, no.
00:30:20.580 Now shout your abortion.
00:30:22.780 Be proud of your abortion.
00:30:24.040 How many abortions have you had?
00:30:26.660 That's a death cult.
00:30:32.720 The cultural norms that we all used to agree on, the celebration of death, that's changing.
00:30:41.700 And the change is measurable in the way we talk to each other, campaigns, social media norms.
00:30:48.740 This is deadly to a society that its cornerstone is choose life.
00:30:57.880 Let me ask you this.
00:31:07.100 Do we have the video of leaving Afghanistan?
00:31:11.820 Here's the video of us getting out of Afghanistan.
00:31:14.580 And the plane on the tarmac and all of these people who supported the United States, who were our allies.
00:31:24.680 These are not terrorists.
00:31:26.160 These were people who saved us.
00:31:28.940 They're holding on to the plane as it takes off.
00:31:31.620 Some of them get into the wheel well.
00:31:33.960 And we watched them drop from the sky.
00:31:36.640 Do we have anything from Biden saying how it was fine?
00:31:42.020 There's somebody dropping from the sky.
00:31:45.180 As they take off.
00:31:46.480 And then Biden says it's fine.
00:31:52.220 Listen.
00:31:52.520 I made a commitment to the American people when I ran for president that I would bring America's military involvement in Afghanistan to an end.
00:32:01.260 While it's been hard and messy and, yes, far from perfect, I've honored that commitment.
00:32:08.820 Far from perfect.
00:32:10.300 They went on later to say that it was good.
00:32:16.620 What?
00:32:17.980 Why were you offended by that?
00:32:20.460 Do you remember when it happened?
00:32:21.900 Why was every American offended by that?
00:32:25.300 Because we left people behind.
00:32:29.860 It was dishonorable.
00:32:32.020 We sensed our honor was at stake here.
00:32:41.140 We had never seen our country on tape doing anything like that.
00:32:49.180 And we instinctively, all of us, knew that's wrong.
00:32:57.400 But then as it went on, it became political.
00:33:00.240 And so we all started to say, well, our side wouldn't have done that.
00:33:04.600 Yeah, well, our side didn't do that.
00:33:06.700 You're lying about what happened.
00:33:08.060 You saw it right there.
00:33:13.420 Why do I bring that one up?
00:33:15.720 Because, again, we left people behind.
00:33:22.380 That violates choose life.
00:33:27.260 So we left people behind.
00:33:30.240 And we felt our honor slipping through our fingers.
00:33:35.760 Let me play some audio that happened in Chicago this week.
00:33:39.880 All right, and 999 just took him from 39th place in Kedzie.
00:33:46.000 They were saying that they were being surrounded by that large crowd.
00:33:50.040 And they were requesting the police were not sending,
00:33:53.380 waving off all the cars heading to 39th place in Kedzie.
00:33:57.220 Again, those are the orders who are being given.
00:33:58.740 Okay, 10-4.
00:34:01.640 And again, for all the units that we called to go over that way,
00:34:05.160 39th place in Kedzie, if you could just hold off.
00:34:08.280 9-11, 9-13, 9-23, 9-24.
00:34:12.200 Okay, stop.
00:34:13.280 This was the second time she asked.
00:34:16.280 Okay?
00:34:16.980 She said they're surrounded.
00:34:18.640 The order was given.
00:34:19.820 We're not going in.
00:34:20.700 So, wait.
00:34:23.500 Play the very beginning of that again.
00:34:24.960 Listen to what she says at the very beginning.
00:34:27.720 All right, and 999 just took him from 39th place in Kedzie.
00:34:32.340 They were saying that they were being surrounded by that large crowd.
00:34:36.360 And they were requesting the police were not sending,
00:34:39.680 waving off all the cars heading to 39th place in Kedzie.
00:34:42.640 Just to confirm, just to confirm, they were surrounded.
00:34:48.720 And I'm supposed to tell everybody, go away?
00:34:52.020 Yes.
00:34:54.440 Death cult.
00:34:58.020 Now, this doesn't, this doesn't, none of this proves that people are on the side of a death cult.
00:35:04.220 Facts don't do guilt by association.
00:35:06.780 But the pattern here is very clear.
00:35:10.480 This is happening.
00:35:12.640 This is proof positive that your country is at stake.
00:35:18.700 No.
00:35:19.380 That Western civilization is at stake.
00:35:22.380 Because we have taken the cornerstone of Western civilization.
00:35:27.220 Choose life.
00:35:29.120 And we are destroying it every single day.
00:35:34.240 Choose life every time.
00:35:38.140 And do not be silent about it.
00:35:40.360 You're streaming the best of the Glenn Beck Program.
00:35:43.300 And you can find full episodes wherever you download podcasts.
00:35:46.120 Welcome to the Glenn Beck Program.
00:35:50.160 You know, we have been talking about this really, really horrific email exchange with Jay Jones,
00:36:00.120 where he thinks he's writing to somebody, and then he realizes halfway through he's writing to somebody else.
00:36:04.500 But it doesn't change.
00:36:05.360 He keeps doubling down and doubling down, talking about, you know, how when Republicans go to their funeral,
00:36:12.300 I'll piss on their graves, send them out a wash.
00:36:14.900 You know, you line up three people.
00:36:17.640 You line up Gilbert, which is a Republican in Virginia, Hitler, and Pol Pot, and you only have two bullets.
00:36:27.420 Gilbert, he said, gets two every time.
00:36:30.700 I mean, that's just insanity.
00:36:32.060 And then he says, you know, do I think that he and his wife are raising little fascists?
00:36:38.380 Yes, I do.
00:36:40.420 And, you know, people only change their political point of view when they feel pain.
00:36:45.700 And he had a chance.
00:36:47.020 The person on the text thread was saying, don't say these things.
00:36:50.960 What are you doing?
00:36:51.820 This makes me very uncomfortable.
00:36:53.240 And he just kept doubling down on it.
00:36:55.420 And people are not asking for his resignation.
00:37:00.720 I mean, sane people are, but the Democratic Party is not asking for him to bow out of this race, which he absolutely should.
00:37:08.940 The guy he's running against is Jason Millares, and he is with us now.
00:37:14.140 Jason, how are you?
00:37:16.100 I'm great, Glenn.
00:37:16.860 Thanks so much for having me.
00:37:17.780 Why is it dangerous to have a man who says these kinds of things and has said others almost or just as bad in the past on other things?
00:37:30.600 Why is it bad to have him as the attorney general, the chief law enforcer in the state?
00:37:37.220 Well, listen, you know, I'm the current attorney general, and my job is one of my main jobs.
00:37:41.840 I say I'm the people's protector.
00:37:43.440 That means protecting everyone, whether they're Republican, Democrat, or independent.
00:37:47.160 Well, then my job is to work to stop violence.
00:37:49.860 I can't imagine somebody who's applying for this job to be someone that has advocated for violence.
00:37:55.780 And for your listeners to understand the context of this, he started these text messages because he was upset that Republicans had said nice things in memory of a Democratic delegate that had recently passed away at their funeral.
00:38:09.520 He was upset at this.
00:38:10.840 He said he wanted to piss on the graves of his political opponents and obviously said he wanted to put two bullets in the head of Todd Gilbert.
00:38:19.120 But I think probably the most shocking, again, to your point, he was told this was inappropriate.
00:38:24.280 He doubled down, and that's when he, you know, fantasized and wanted to, you know, talked about seeing the children of Todd Gilbert die in the arms of Jennifer Gilbert, his wife.
00:38:35.620 And what's so upsetting for me, Glenn, before I was elected attorney general, I served in the House of Delegates with Jay and with Todd.
00:38:42.840 He knows Jennifer.
00:38:44.560 He knows Todd's children.
00:38:46.020 At the time that these text messages were sent, they were two and five years old.
00:38:51.280 Oh, my God.
00:38:51.560 Todd would bring his kids to the assembly.
00:38:53.340 This was not a hypothetical.
00:38:55.640 He's just not an imaginary person.
00:38:57.820 He's met her before.
00:38:59.040 He's met and seen the children on the floor before.
00:39:01.760 For him to say these things and in his words, when she says, you are talking about hoping Jennifer Gilbert's children would die, that's what he was texted by his colleague.
00:39:12.140 His response was, yes, I've told you before, only when people feel pain personally, do they move on from policy.
00:39:21.580 Glenn, in my office in Richmond, I have a quote from Thomas Jefferson that I see every day when I walk into my office, and it is this.
00:39:29.300 I have never found the difference of opinion in politics, philosophy, or religion as cause to withdraw from a friend.
00:39:37.200 And it's just a minder that even if I disagree with somebody politically, it doesn't mean I'm going to withdraw friendships for them.
00:39:43.200 I can't imagine the mindset that my opponent has that he may disagree with somebody politically, and he would want to see two bullets put in their head and then fantasize about seeing children die in their mother's arms.
00:39:55.320 That is a dark place one must be coming from.
00:39:59.580 And he certainly, I think, in my opinion, completely disqualified from serving as attorney general.
00:40:04.800 I mean, I made the point earlier today, because it is October 7th, isn't this the same kind of thing that had the Palestinians out on the streets celebrating when they brought the dead or the hostages back into Gaza on October 7th?
00:40:18.480 Isn't this the same, this is, you know, maybe a few train stops before that, but this is what breeds that.
00:40:26.420 You cannot celebrate the death of an opponent like that and wish death on their children, because you stay on that train and it becomes October 7th.
00:40:41.940 Well, I mean, listen, we a long time ago in this country decided we were going to sell debate at the ballot box and not with bullets.
00:40:49.960 And, you know, the Miara's name, my family fled Cuba and they saw what it is in a society where ultimately when ideas matter more than individual dignity, ideas matter more than people and their individual rights.
00:41:03.960 When you don't view them as even human beings, they view them as, I guess, political pawns.
00:41:07.960 That is a dangerous, slippery slope to go on.
00:41:12.160 And that is, that is what, that is, the political violence will destroy a society.
00:41:18.600 That's why I've always condemned it in any form whatsoever.
00:41:22.260 I have never asked a victim when I met with a crime victim, whether they're Republican or Democrat, whether they like me or dislike me, whether they voted for me or against me.
00:41:31.340 That's not my mindset.
00:41:32.420 My mindset in this office is I'm the top prosecutor in the state.
00:41:36.300 And what that tells me is my opponent has never actually met with victims.
00:41:40.060 He's, he wants to be the top prosecutor in the state.
00:41:42.340 He's never been a prosecutor a day in his life.
00:41:44.280 But, you know, when you've actually met with victims as I have, Glenn, that have lost children, they've lost a child.
00:41:51.520 You know, there's no cry like the cry of a mother that has lost a child, none.
00:41:55.680 And that sticks with you.
00:41:56.940 You don't, you don't talk about it in this type of language.
00:42:01.420 And so, you know, he clearly has a very, very different mindset.
00:42:05.380 He wants to use this office, I just assume now, as a sword against his political enemies, or I have viewed as an office to be a shield to protect Virginians, regardless of their political affiliation.
00:42:17.900 It is a very different mindset.
00:42:19.240 And I think it's a test for Virginia.
00:42:23.200 It's now no longer right versus left in Virginia.
00:42:25.780 And this election is about, in my opinion, a right versus wrong and a basic standard of decency we should expect.
00:42:31.000 One of the things I think is being undersold about all these text messages is not just that he was wishing violence, but the reason he was wishing violence on his opponents.
00:42:39.960 He wanted them to feel personal pain to change their policy, to change their politics, to change who they are.
00:42:47.260 Well, I know when I swore, when I took my oath of allegiance, when I got sworn in this office, it was not to any political party or to a governor or to any president.
00:43:06.760 And it was to faithfully execute the laws of the state of Virginia and to defend the U.S. and Virginia Constitution.
00:43:12.640 That's my mindset.
00:43:13.900 That is a very, very different mindset.
00:43:16.480 And at this time where political violence has emerged, where we saw what happened in Utah with Charlie Kirk's murder, I think that's given us all pause.
00:43:28.060 Because Charlie was not assassinated because he had political power.
00:43:33.540 He was a private citizen.
00:43:34.700 He wasn't a governor or mayor.
00:43:35.940 He didn't write laws or sign them into effect.
00:43:38.420 He was he was silenced because some people thought his ideas and his political views are so abhorrent that they should he should no longer exist.
00:43:48.000 That is something that would shun you in polite company.
00:43:50.600 Think about it.
00:43:51.120 If Jay Jones is applying for a job with your media company or job to be a line attorney in the attorney general's office here or to be in the cabinet of a governor.
00:43:59.400 And this emerged, I would argue, probably want to get a job with you, Glenn, and you sure as heck want to get a job as a line attorney.
00:44:06.660 Why do we want to elevate him to be in this position of authority?
00:44:10.240 And I do think this is a defining moment for us in Virginia.
00:44:12.760 I mean, if if, you know, our attorney general, who I really like here in Texas, if he would have said something like this, he wouldn't be in my front in my front waiting area.
00:44:24.400 I would personally go out and say, you're not welcome in this building anymore.
00:44:28.280 What what is wrong with you?
00:44:30.000 And are you shocked that woman running for governor with the Democrats?
00:44:36.160 Yeah, has not has not really come out.
00:44:39.540 And I mean, has any Democrat come out and condemned and said this must stop and you should step down a single Democrat?
00:44:48.020 You've had a few liberal columnists that have said this is beyond the pale.
00:44:53.320 We shouldn't be in the race.
00:44:54.840 But to to right now, they're either dead silence or this sense of we condemn the text messages.
00:45:01.880 It's not acceptable.
00:45:03.460 And Jay Jones should be held accountable for this.
00:45:07.440 But they don't say what that means.
00:45:09.200 And to buy all accounts, they're continuing the campaign.
00:45:12.980 Think about Abigail Spanberger asked for Ralph Northam to step down.
00:45:17.400 As governor of Virginia over the blackface scandal from a yearbook photo from 25, 30 years ago, but is not willing to tell him to step down over text messages he sent just two plus years ago over a sitting member and their family and their children.
00:45:44.620 I think that says a lot about where we are.
00:45:46.480 And again, if Jay Jones was applying to be in our cabinet.
00:45:49.880 And it came out, he wouldn't be concerned, but somehow because power matters more than people.
00:45:55.400 And that is a slippery slope in our country when politics and power, wielding power matters more than decency and in people.
00:46:05.140 And I do think this is now that that test.
00:46:07.560 I am a bit shocked.
00:46:08.700 But candidly, we have the chairman, the chairwoman of the largest school board in the Richmond metro area, Chesterfield County.
00:46:14.720 It's our largest suburb of Richmond, who tweeted out after the Charlie Kirk assassination.
00:46:21.120 I thought we're supposed to cheer when Nazis get shot.
00:46:23.560 Oh, my God.
00:46:23.960 She's still in office.
00:46:25.160 She has not resigned.
00:46:26.820 This is the person that helps oversee the instructions of our children.
00:46:30.560 And so you have seen this level of of violence that is excused.
00:46:35.620 But, Glenn, I think of a red letter date for me in modern American history was December 4th, 2024.
00:46:42.600 That is the date that Brian Thompson, the CEO of UnitedHealthcare, was murdered in broad daylight.
00:46:47.680 And it wasn't the fact murders happen almost every day in New York.
00:46:50.440 It was the fact that when you look at the polling afterwards, 48 percent of America's college students said that murder was justified.
00:46:58.260 That should shock everyone.
00:47:00.140 And I remember when I saw that, I said, we are in a different place in America that we now have a segment of society that is somehow excusing violence.
00:47:07.680 In this case, against a private citizen, a business executive, they didn't like how he's running his company.
00:47:12.600 And now we saw what happened with Charlie Kirk.
00:47:15.620 And now we have this individual now running that is advocated for, you know, pissing on the graves of his opponents and putting two bullets in the head of his political opponent and imagining their children dying in their mother's arms.
00:47:27.880 I mean, that's that is a stage where we are.
00:47:29.940 And at some point you have to say enough is enough.
00:47:32.660 And if your listeners want to say enough is enough, they can go with standwithjason.com, because I know that now, Virginia, I think this election, we're in the shadow of our nation's capital, is, I think, a real test for us as a country, whether we are now going to say no to this type of rhetoric and those that are that have, you know, fantasized about this type of violence.
00:47:55.300 I will tell you, I think it is you're right about good versus evil, not left versus right.
00:47:59.960 And I think this is a very big test.
00:48:03.980 If Virginia, especially with all of the churches that are there, if they're not getting out to vote and say no to this, I don't think you survive as a society in Virginia.
00:48:19.240 I think that this is a vote that says we choose life or we choose death.
00:48:24.340 And once you choose death and choose to tolerate this kind of stuff, especially for just political reasons, I don't know how you can be helped, you know, spiritually.
00:48:35.620 I don't know how you can find protection spiritually if that's what you're choosing.
00:48:40.180 So I, well, we, yeah, I worry, listen, I, we, I'm worried too.
00:48:45.740 We talk about in Virginia, we have something we call the Virginia way, which is the idea of basic civility in our political discourse.
00:48:52.020 I think Virginia way is on the ballot.
00:48:53.820 To your point, Glenn, I'm a person of faith.
00:48:55.620 I think everybody I meet, no matter who they are, no matter what their political opinion is, I think they have amazing value because they're made an image of their creator.
00:49:03.980 Right. They're an image bearer. And that's my mindset. That's the mindset I've had is as attorney general.
00:49:11.480 And I will just kind of end with this. A wise Marine once told me that if you go to Arlington National Cemetery and you walk among those crosses and those stars of David, there's not an R or a D next to anyone's name.
00:49:22.880 And to never forget that someone that thinks differently than you politically and given the last full measure of devotion to this country.
00:49:29.680 It is a great mindset. That's at least the mindset I have tried to bring as attorney general.
00:49:35.660 And obviously, Jay Jones has a very different worldview.
00:49:38.880 Jason, what's your website again? People want to get involved in your campaign.
00:49:42.660 Standwithjason.com. Standwithjason.com. That's how they can push back against this type of insanity.
00:49:50.140 Jason, thank you. We'll be watching closely. God bless.
00:49:53.060 Thank you, my friend. God bless you.
00:49:54.460 You bet. Standwithjason.com.
00:49:59.680 God bless you.
