00:00:06.320 course a host of chewing the fat the podcast that you can subscribe to right now on this very
00:00:12.260 podcast platform and you need to do that as a matter of fact it's a mandate from the federal
00:00:17.660 government i had nothing to do with it but you have to follow mandates i'm usually against
00:00:21.720 mandates but this one seems like it's okay is that is okay yeah this is a must man it's a must
00:00:27.860 it's a must uh check it out chewing the fat with jeff fisher also stew does america is the show
00:00:31.740 that i host every day as well as being uh hanging out on this radio program with glenn today it's us
00:00:37.440 we're talking about uh the interview that glenn is going to do with donald trump tonight um he has a
00:00:42.660 special interview that's airing tonight on blaze tv at blaze tv.com slash glenn promo code is glenn to
00:00:48.360 save yourself 10 bucks we also uh talked about the omicron flumicron fluorona virus that's out
00:00:57.440 there right now and you know what the next couple weeks are going to look like when we go into the
00:01:01.760 studies from the uk and south africa with some hopeful stuff also we will uh talk about the
00:01:06.640 midterms this has been on the horizon for a while well it's 2022 folks we're here uh so we're going
00:01:11.820 to go into the details as to what the history looks like for uh for midterm elections and what
00:01:16.060 the prospects for november uh look like as we get closer and tomorrow is january 6th the day
00:01:22.860 democracy almost died yeah prepare yourself for all the anniversary talk tomorrow avoid get out of
00:01:29.660 that by saying january 6th instead of 1 6th but anytime that date is said it is you have to say
00:01:35.680 what the date democracy almost died all right we'll get into that as well today on the podcast
00:01:40.580 you're listening to the best of the glenn beck program
00:01:50.720 welcome to january 6th eve have you put your january 6th tree up yet because we've got a new
00:02:01.320 national holiday in this country at least for half of it uh january 6th the left loves it loves talking
00:02:06.980 about it thinks it's the most important thing since the civil war it is the day democracy almost
00:02:12.820 died no it didn't die they finished everything up that same day it was a look i am not going to make
00:02:19.240 any excuses for what happened on january 6th i think it sucked and the people who were beating
00:02:23.080 police officers over the head with polls should be in prison i have no problem with that however what
00:02:28.300 the left has decided to do with this and turn it into this ridiculous national holiday of celebration
00:02:33.820 where they get to say that they've never done anything wrong there's never been uh certainly
00:02:40.300 they've never shot up a baseball field of full of republicans that's never occurred ever yeah look
00:02:46.660 insane people in every movement exist and there were some people who went into the even went into the
00:02:53.460 capital that were just you know people who maybe made mistakes maybe you know got caught up in a
00:02:59.900 moment and then there were some people who were you know really bad there we've seen some of that
00:03:03.680 uh you know so you can see look hitting you know i don't care about politics when it comes to beating
00:03:08.820 a police officer over the head i've had police officers in my family and you know you think that's
00:03:13.280 the an appropriate action to take you know screw you i i have no i have no sympathy for someone who's
00:03:19.020 done that that being said what the left has tried to do with this is what has been frustrating over the
00:03:24.600 past year we'll have uh i think the president is giving uh you know the day that democracy almost
00:03:30.220 died speech and we're gonna do it's gonna be yeah and it's gonna be you can quote me on that
00:03:36.780 it's interesting too the timing of glenn's interview with donald trump and the release of it now this is
00:03:43.420 something he recorded right before the holidays and he was in at mar-a-lago they did the interview
00:03:49.580 and it was you know a lot of interesting stuff and we played a couple clips right before the
00:03:55.240 holidays but the interview comes out tonight 9 p.m eastern blaze tv.com slash glenn if you go there
00:04:03.080 um tonight you'll see this and and i want to just give you i hate to you don't want to ruin an
00:04:09.820 interview by giving out too much information you don't want to you don't want to give the end
00:04:13.780 uh to a movie before people get to go see it some people but i don't want to do that right
00:04:19.460 well you do uh glenn definitely does glenn loves to ruin movies but let me give you this one little
00:04:25.060 uh spoiler here uh he doesn't ask him about january 6th what and i know the media is going to get all
00:04:30.880 fired up about that they're going to say mention how they had the president of the united states on
00:04:37.180 that's airing in in the week of january 6th and they didn't even ask about no mention about the
00:04:42.220 insurrectionists right and that was a very intentional choice by glenn because he said
00:04:49.920 this on the air before the interview even started he wants it to be about the future not the past
00:04:55.480 and we can go back and rehash every little scandal or back and forth that happened with the media
00:05:00.460 during trump's presidency we can do all that we can talk about you know it wouldn't have been crazy
00:05:05.740 for him to ask about january 6th but everyone is talking about that all the time and i believe the
00:05:09.620 president a former president is going to be making a some sort of statement as well about about january
00:05:16.180 6th i think he was and he was supposed to there was some event that he canceled actually so i don't i
00:05:21.180 mean obviously he'll probably make a statement i'm sure he likes making them so uh yes you may
00:05:26.720 you're you've heard donald trump talk about that a hundred times what about the issues that are facing
00:05:32.200 us now you know it's great it's a great little window for the the left right now to be able to talk
00:05:38.440 about something like january 6th because they don't have to talk about all the days that have
00:05:41.780 occurred since january 20th which is president biden running the country into the ground and
00:05:49.760 you know it's hard we're gonna get into the election stuff here in a little bit as well
00:05:53.360 kind of a little look ahead to the midterms it's hard to win midterm elections when you have a
00:05:58.460 president who isn't incoherent like when you have a good president it's hard to win midterm elections
00:06:03.960 for your party what has happened with biden from everything from afghanistan to the economy to
00:06:10.580 inflation to i'm gonna crush this virus i'm gonna end the virus nobody with 220 000 deaths on their
00:06:18.380 toll should be allowed to be president that's crazy now he's got 420 000 deaths on on his register
00:06:25.740 uh by that logic he shouldn't be president a couple of times i guess when it comes to which i'm okay with
00:06:32.140 by the way i think this is a rule i'm willing to implement right now at least uh so all of this
00:06:37.300 is adding up to a real disaster for them in the midterms and i was reminded that he also just a
00:06:42.080 another thing that he promised that hasn't happened yet is he promised to cure cancer
00:06:46.380 and i want that i want that done i'm just i'm gonna go ahead and demand is it cured yet can we check
00:06:53.000 make a phone call will you it's funny you mentioned that i've actually i'm actually working on something
00:06:58.860 related to that we have to get into that maybe a little bit later uh but i want to make sure you
00:07:02.760 know about this 9 p.m eastern blaze tv.com slash glenn the january 6th distraction glenn and former
00:07:08.040 president trump discuss overcoming america's real challenges those things that we were talking about
00:07:13.120 inflation the economy how we're going forward what is the the correct message the american people need
00:07:20.200 to hear right now it's all going to be on with glenn and former president trump tonight on blaze tv
00:07:25.000 so we were talking a little bit about the cron the omicron omicron and everything that is going on
00:07:32.600 it seems like everybody on earth is sick right now yes glenn is out we don't think it's the cron but i
00:07:37.960 don't know if he's been tested yet and we're gonna find him i guess you know we'll know that uh maybe
00:07:41.840 soon but i know i've had relatives i've seen businesses closing yeah and we hit a million cases
00:07:49.740 in a day which is an all-time high not only for the united states but in theory the world now that
00:07:55.520 is a ridiculous statistic very misleading it's totally misleading because of you know like look
00:08:00.780 india is not uh testing at the levels that would allow them to beat that record right a place like
00:08:09.140 india with so many more people surely during their terrible delta outbreak had way more cases than that
00:08:14.140 but we you know officially and we know china as well absolutely we in the the peak of it china
00:08:20.100 was still saying yeah well we had one today yeah oh okay one case problem one case all right so we
00:08:27.720 know it's not a real record and we know that number is obviously an undercount as well as far as lots of
00:08:32.720 people are now taking home tests and not reporting them you can get them yeah they're a little hard to
00:08:37.680 get yeah but you know people are doing that more than they used to as well as there's a lot of
00:08:42.240 asymptomatic cases that people don't even know they have and that's been something that's gone on
00:08:46.180 since the beginning of the pandemic but officially the statistic is the highest ever and it does seem
00:08:51.960 like omicron is living up to the billing as incredibly easy to pass yes that does seem to be real
00:09:00.160 we've had a lot of hype over these variants you know if you remember the epsilon variant didn't do
00:09:05.820 anything no it did not delta lived up to that hype a little bit in one way and omicron is
00:09:12.240 living up to the hype in this uh in this sort of outbreak right now i do expect over the next
00:09:17.180 couple weeks we're going to have ridiculously high case totals we're going to have probably
00:09:22.600 hospitalizations and deaths rise but not nearly to the level if you look at the charts that are
00:09:27.560 happening new york was one of the first places where we saw an omicron outbreak the line for cases is
00:09:34.560 through the roof the line for hospitalizations is up slightly the lines for deaths flat or down yeah so
00:09:41.480 that's the the hype on omicron was it's really easy to pass and it's maybe a little bit less
00:09:49.260 virulent a little less awful than the previous variants that does seem to be holding up to be
00:09:54.380 true and that's a really good thing um but that doesn't mean because the numbers are so high we'll
00:10:00.520 probably still see a rise here over the next few weeks they believe this whole thing should be over
00:10:05.060 by the end of the month or at least the end of next month at the latest and they're talking about new
00:10:09.320 variants now but you know again these variants might fade out quickly and they're talking also
00:10:14.220 about uh well i called it flumacron but it's flumacron but it's actually florona florona yeah
00:10:22.440 what is florona flu plus coronavirus getting it at the same time infection or is it they've now like
00:10:28.120 they're having a family like they've it's a mixed family it is you know the flu they met at a bar
00:10:34.140 the coronavirus and the flu hey had a hookup you're looking pretty good over there yeah
00:10:39.480 oh rona why don't you come on over this way and then we had flurona that's how it happens boys and
00:10:44.860 girls uh uh the birds and the bees in action so let me give you what we do know at least the best
00:10:51.340 as close as we know for omicron now this is of course we had earlier outbreaks in south africa in
00:10:57.200 the uk so there's been a lot of studies there let me give you some of these quotes i would say all of
00:11:02.520 this sounds like pretty good news overall that doesn't mean the next couple weeks might be rough
00:11:07.940 but uh overall this seems like good news uh to give you the summary um an individual with omicron
00:11:15.560 is estimated to be between 31 and 45 percent less likely to attend a and e which is the you know
00:11:22.120 british emergency room er compared to delta and 50 to 70 percent less likely to be admitted to the
00:11:28.700 hospital so good news yes absolutely um when uh when the reduced risk of hospitalization was
00:11:35.920 combined with vaccine effectiveness against symptomatic disease the vaccine effectiveness
00:11:39.820 against hospitalization was estimated as i'll give you all the different dose levels uh 52 percent
00:11:45.760 effective with one dose 72 percent effective with two doses if it's recent so two to 24 weeks old
00:11:53.220 right so it goes up to 72 percent if it's an older dose like if you had it you know six months ago uh
00:11:59.860 it drops down to 52 percent effective if you've had the full uh vaccine with where we're at now the way
00:12:05.740 that the vaccines are you know waning as uh you know 50 percent still pretty good it's still something
00:12:11.820 right with if you're in a sixth the eight month window yeah and and like like there's a lot of there's
00:12:17.400 some people who uh you know don't want the vaccine didn't take the vaccine and that should be your
00:12:22.100 choice we've talked talked about how bad these mandates are over and over and over again the
00:12:27.520 overwhelming population of the country now we're at over 80 some odd percent has had at least one
00:12:33.480 dose of this vaccine so i think a lot of people even if they think fauci's annoying and and biden's
00:12:39.680 annoying may have already previously had the vaccine absolutely we know president trump was on with
00:12:44.020 with glenn tonight has had the vaccine and he's been boosted and i thought we were over i thought we
00:12:48.980 were done with the uh pandemic of the unvaccinated but i saw the president yeah trotted it out the
00:12:56.040 other day they're still trotting it out which is like uh by the way if you uh with the booster it's
00:13:00.580 88 so oh wow so 52 one dose 72 with two doses that are recent 52 with two doses that might have been in
00:13:09.500 the past and then 88 on the booster so that's what that's what the uk study is showing south africa
00:13:15.800 showed pretty similar things these results are consistent with omicron displacing the delta variant
00:13:20.880 so we're already seeing omicron being the the the dominant variant here in the united states because
00:13:27.160 they were talking about many of the people that were still in the hospital were delta yeah you know
00:13:33.220 we're getting the big numbers increasing omicron yeah but be the hospitalizations while was being
00:13:41.140 linked to omicron we're still delta yeah that's that does seem to be a lot of this and one of the
00:13:46.560 questions was it doesn't seem like a previous infection with the old school wuhan uh strain or
00:13:53.740 the beta virus or the or even delta any of those doesn't seem like it protected you against omicron
00:14:00.160 however it looks like the reverse is true which is really good if you get a mild omicron infection
00:14:07.460 it seems to protect you against the other variants and that's what the south african study showed they
00:14:12.220 said these results are consistent with omicron displacing the delta variant since it can elicit
00:14:16.300 immunity which neutralizes delta making reinfection with delta less likely the team of scientists in
00:14:22.780 africa uh wrote if omicron displaces delta and proves more mild than past variants the incidence of
00:14:29.060 covet 19 severe disease would be reduced and the infection may shift to becoming less disruptive to
00:14:34.460 individuals and society now look we i think as people on the right look at this and say we got
00:14:41.020 to live our lives we got to figure out how to get through this and and you know you're going to have
00:14:43.880 some risk and you can't eliminate all that risk uh you know if you're a business owner it's important
00:14:49.640 to you that liberals also come back to your business right you know you would think that yeah
00:14:53.540 definitely would think so they might be annoying while they're in your business but you need their
00:14:57.300 money so yeah that's funny the banks don't ask no did this come from a progressive right no they
00:15:03.340 just want their money and if you're if you're owning you own a bar uh you don't want it to be half
00:15:08.580 filled you want people to be in there and so you need everybody uh out back in society so this is good
00:15:14.200 even if this lesson doesn't necessarily matter to you the study found this is the south african study
00:15:18.680 again study found that the vaccine from uh pfizer and viontech provided just 33 protection against
00:15:25.580 infection so it's not doing a great job anymore as protecting you from infection it's doing
00:15:32.420 something well you know 33 is compared to someone who's unvaccinated so that's the doubles that's
00:15:38.300 two shots of the pfizer yes i mean fully fully vaccinated pfizer so you're getting a some level
00:15:44.580 of protection though not great protection against the infection however uh the vaccine offers 70
00:15:50.560 protection in this study uh being hospitalized with omicron so if you put that together with
00:15:56.840 the previous results they're going to come out about the same because you get about 33 less chance
00:16:01.300 of getting infected but if you get infected you get about a 70 chance of going to the hospital
00:16:06.500 the bottom line is this is good omicron is going to be rough over the next couple weeks because it's so
00:16:14.220 infectious and so many people are going to have it so a smaller percentage of a big number is still a big
00:16:19.260 number but once this thing passes it may give us the type of thing that we've talked about for a long
00:16:24.880 time uh enough immunity to push off the severe disease and enough uh enough of a positive change
00:16:35.360 that we can get back to normal life this is the best of the glenbeck program and don't forget
00:16:43.620 rate us on itunes
00:16:45.640 well uh donald trump former president and melania trump the former first lady got a terrible christmas
00:16:57.340 present this past december as glenbeck came to town and no one wants that to happen thank you a
00:17:02.960 terrible punishment for both donald and melania but they were very gracious hosts and we're going to
00:17:08.860 get into what it was like behind the scenes here in just a second but i want to give you this clip this
00:17:12.580 is uh from the interview tonight airs at 9 p.m eastern on blaze tv blaze tv.com slash glenn
00:17:18.500 right after a brand new stew does america don't miss it um 9 p.m eastern is the interview it's going
00:17:26.180 to be uh they go through really everything and glenn was very specific about this interview and what
00:17:30.760 he wanted to do with it you know donald trump talks to a lot of people um and uh you know he has
00:17:36.760 uh he's only done a couple of interviews with glenn glenn i believe interviewed him long before he was
00:17:42.340 into politics back in the day of course glenn has been doing radio since 1744 so he's had an
00:17:48.380 opportunity to do that uh but since he was president obviously they didn't agree a lot uh early on in the
00:17:53.620 presidency um and there wasn't there weren't any interviews there he we talked to don jr a bunch of
00:17:59.500 times but he this was his second interview with donald trump since he's really yes back into
00:18:04.860 politics we had him on the on the phone once and they had talked behind the scenes several times
00:18:09.980 over the years but this was really kind of an opportunity to look into the future every interview
00:18:17.520 that the mainstream media wants to do with donald trump is going to be about january 6th
00:18:21.900 and the day democracy almost died thank you i like how you have the title built in this is what they
00:18:26.900 want they want a national holiday i honestly i i feel i don't even like calling it january 6th
00:18:31.340 the day democracy almost died i don't like doing that because it gives them what they want they want
00:18:39.120 it to be january 6th the day democracy almost died you want to call it uh the q anon riots you want to
00:18:47.080 you want to come up with another name for it i'd much rather like i like that a lot more than calling
00:18:51.560 it the date because what they want it to be is september 11th where everyone talks about it every year
00:18:55.580 like it's this big morbid anniversary i don't think that's a great idea to call it january 6th the
00:19:03.540 day democracy almost died it's the drama really is lost with the word almost isn't it i mean we were
00:19:12.560 like the day the plane almost hit the building it's near miss yeah it's just not the same okay uh here is
00:19:19.860 donald trump and glenn beck talking um and one of the interview one of the questions uh glenn did want
00:19:25.680 to ask him about how we should go forward in the future is what do you do with anthony fauci he we
00:19:33.200 know he's going to do 472 interviews per day we know that's going to occur but what else would you do
00:19:38.480 with anthony fauci and and what was the relationship like here is glenn talking to former president trump
00:19:43.660 i think when when this was coming out of china it was perfectly reasonable to shut everything down
00:19:49.640 because we didn't know they were welding people into their homes in china we had no idea and they
00:19:55.420 weren't being opened and by the way they weld them in and they never opened right that was the end of
00:19:59.180 them fauci i wanted to give i want to give everybody the benefit of the doubt in those early
00:20:05.560 days we have done a ton of research i did one of the biggest chalkboards i think i've ever done right
00:20:11.260 um they were using federal government money to do um wuhan yeah in wuhan i stopped it right i was
00:20:21.820 the one that stopped it well you did but i don't think fauci uh cared about that fauci's now claiming
00:20:27.760 he's science did you ever did you ever would he still be working for you today no not now but
00:20:37.200 but he's a great promoter he's not a great doctor but he's a great promoter but you have to understand
00:20:43.240 everything he wanted i didn't do as an example he wanted to keep it open to china he ultimately was
00:20:48.940 wrong about that and admitted it and admitted that i saved tens of thousands of lives he wanted to keep
00:20:55.340 it open i saw what was happening in italy and france and spain and i closed it to europe very early
00:21:00.980 you know in china it was january i closed it and in europe it was shortly thereafter we saved
00:21:06.340 thousands and thousands of lives he wanted to do that and then his big one of them all is
00:21:12.080 the masks are useless they don't mean anything and then all of a sudden he wants you to wear 10 masks
00:21:18.580 you know wear as many as you can put them all over cover your ears do everything so i didn't
00:21:24.620 really do much of what he said and he wasn't a big factor for me in a sense because of that
00:21:31.700 um this is this is uh i mean look i miss him first of all very funny i miss cover your ears
00:21:38.840 with 10 masks i miss um now it's a little bit of a i was maybe i'll show you a little bit of a
00:21:44.420 different picture here do we have the clip of joe biden talking about google because this is this
00:21:48.440 is what a real president sounds like in the last two weeks we've stood up federal testing sites
00:21:55.000 all over the country okay we're adding more each and every day that's good to hear google google
00:22:01.540 quote covet quote test near me go there google excuse me covet test near me on google where do i go
00:22:08.940 to find the nearest site where you can get a test most often and free yeah we'll get them most often
00:22:16.580 free i mean i mean you want to talk about well the competence level is incredibly high but so
00:22:23.360 and he's talking about fauci and i think it's interesting his his his answer on fauci seems to
00:22:28.180 basically be fauci was liked by the media he had his he had his value but we didn't really listen to
00:22:34.140 him behind the scenes so he gets into that a little bit more tonight uh he gets into uh talking about
00:22:39.580 russia vladimir putin inflation all the big topics uh that you want to think about as we go into a
00:22:46.380 midterm election glenn talks to the president about and looks forward not back not talking about
00:22:52.440 january 6th like everybody else is gonna be doing this week he almost died now i'm not going to be
00:22:58.480 able to hear that date without your stupid subtitle we bring in jason buttrell who's on this trip with
00:23:06.500 glenn he was uh in the room for much of this too yeah he got on the plane he went to mar-a-lago
00:23:12.460 saw met everybody there it's got to be a wild experience to go to mar-a-lago and and after he's
00:23:19.780 been president of the united states to meet donald melania the family what a bizarre experience it's
00:23:25.300 not what you would think it would be it's not exactly what i thought it was going to be like
00:23:29.060 if you think like if you think you would go to like the obama's you know house or whatever
00:23:33.920 unlike martha's vineyard yeah right like what would that be like you would think that it would
00:23:37.660 just be a bunch of people you know sniffing their own farts and just telling each other how awesome
00:23:42.440 they are which i still think that's how it would be if you go to the obama's you know there'd be
00:23:45.820 this air of i'm better than you or something right and and i feel like nobody's there right it's it's
00:23:51.480 just at the obama's house you've got barack you got michelle maybe a couple people but like it's not
00:23:57.380 a there's not a ton of people around i feel like they're they're going to that place to isolate
00:24:01.660 basically that's not what trump is doing no not at all like i i actually i kind of thought mar-a-lago
00:24:07.040 was a hotel it's not a hotel i guess it's more like a club there's only like a handful of guest
00:24:12.260 rooms there so it really is like you know president trump's house slash office and a few influential
00:24:19.180 people or friends will come by and there's members of the club or whatever but i mean i remember
00:24:23.900 straight off the bat we went into this like a very like beautiful ballroom to do the interview in
00:24:28.680 and we're setting up and all of a sudden don jr just walks in the room and we're like what like
00:24:34.500 exactly it was like that he's like hey what's up guys you know dude he didn't say dudes but that's
00:24:38.040 kind of how it felt yeah yeah just walked in very casual just started you know like you know chewing
00:24:42.040 the fat uh with with with all of us in there and i was just from that i was like that's kind of surreal
00:24:47.300 right i mean just the president's son who's also very very out in the open you know in the public
00:24:51.760 sure just rolls in starts talking with everybody chilling and uh trump comes in to do the interview
00:24:56.880 and it was kind of the same thing you know there was some secrets so you knew movements were happening
00:25:00.940 because of secret service they just came in and started talking you know it was like whatever
00:25:04.340 uh very laid back very laid back this is where he's most comfortable right i mean this is his
00:25:10.540 environment it's not an act at all which is like you know they they teach you like in political science
00:25:16.480 in college you know about the you know you got to hook those hands you know and pretend like you're
00:25:20.300 one of the he's literally like one of those guys albeit with a little bit more money than the rest of
00:25:24.840 those guys a tad but a little bit but uh he is one of those guys it is right i mean that's the way
00:25:30.000 he's gotten things done his whole life yeah being that guy yeah he it's he is the the least likely
00:25:36.260 to relate to the every man like if you would predict who would be the least likely to understand how
00:25:42.940 normal people live it would be donald trump right the guy his dad was wealthy he grew up incredibly
00:25:48.700 wealthy his entire brand was i live a life that you don't live right that was really his brand
00:25:54.640 throughout the 80s and 90s and going into the apprentice and as the apprentice in the apprentice
00:25:59.560 he's the boss he's telling people that they're fired all the time that's not normally a path to
00:26:05.160 the presidency yeah but he has there's something about donald trump that relates well i mean he's
00:26:10.800 the guy he's the guy that you would expect you know even though he's uh you know been sitting in
00:26:15.220 his gold chair uh you know up on the 116th floor he's going to come down and stand in the mud and
00:26:21.020 shake your hand and talk to you about the day right i mean he definitely has the golden chair
00:26:24.780 you know he has all the luxuries and all that stuff but the problem is like so he doesn't he
00:26:28.880 doesn't see you as lesser because you're not also sitting in a golden chair right and you think that
00:26:33.380 i mean that's really the hit the rise of him was just him listening yeah and that's what we saw in
00:26:37.180 that room before the interview he'll listen to you yeah like i won't i won't talk about you know
00:26:42.120 the private conversations that we were having of course but he was uh you know he would ask
00:26:46.900 questions and he looked like he cared about your response to them he does and if you look if you
00:26:51.300 look back at his presidency and the people that he would argue with was the press it wasn't the
00:26:58.200 american people yeah he when he was out on the road he listened to the american people as he didn't
00:27:03.560 confront them as opposed to like a joe biden that's saying i'll fight you yes for it like a huge difference
00:27:09.640 there absolutely and the result was you know we finally had someone that talking about issues that
00:27:14.860 people had like the border like no one even wanted to address the border i mean he's probably
00:27:19.180 not president if it wasn't for his strong stance on the border but he made it because he was talking
00:27:24.100 to people he was listening um the craziest thing though guys was after the interview so i we had
00:27:30.800 heard this before that sometimes he'll invite people to come and eat dinner you know if they if
00:27:34.680 you know media comes and you know does an interview with him so he invited us all to stay there for
00:27:39.240 dinner and i'm not talking about just glenn you know or just his ep or whatever the crew and
00:27:44.460 everybody he was like hey come on in come come eat and so he was like yeah yeah we're just gonna
00:27:48.640 we're just walking up there now i think this happens every night there so you get this feeling
00:27:54.680 that this you're in his house right yeah and there is this like kind of courtyard uh in mar-a-lago it's
00:28:00.620 it's you know it's it's open air it's always beautiful and you know just nice out there but
00:28:05.200 everyone goes everyone's sitting there uh it's not a restaurant so like they don't flip the tables
00:28:09.240 then make room for somebody else after someone else eats right it's set once you go there and eat
00:28:14.020 and then you leave right and like they they don't prepare it for anyone else again but he like so
00:28:19.460 he goes out we sit at our table we look over to the left like a table and a half away the former
00:28:24.920 president of the united states his wife and a couple friends are just sitting right there like
00:28:29.980 within earshot you can hear everything they're saying i mean literally like two table and a half
00:28:34.300 away you look over it was the most surreal thing ever but that wasn't the most surreal thing so
00:28:38.580 yeah it's it's literally it was so that if you ever get a chance to do this it's literally like
00:28:44.160 if you're at a large family gathering right a large family gathering on thanksgiving and dad or some
00:28:50.100 you know grandpa sitting over there at the other table and he wants to get up and be like oh hey
00:28:53.600 i just thought of this thing i wanted to come tell you guys so he walks over to you know our table
00:28:57.560 he was doing that all night really he walked to our table like twice it was like hey guys what's up
00:29:02.720 hey i just thought of this one thing it was the most and he that's if you are a people's president
00:29:06.680 that right there is the template it was like crazy and that's just how he is and he does that with
00:29:11.620 people every night it's interesting and now as a broadcaster one of the things you want to do
00:29:15.940 is relate to your audience and give them new you know information they can use so if you happen to
00:29:20.480 ever be in the situation where you're dining with donald and melania trump you now know how to handle
00:29:25.460 the situation thanks to jason you know now you know i'm here for you what it's like that's how you
00:29:31.460 go we'll take a quick break come back with with more um because i want to i want to ask you a
00:29:35.680 little bit more about where they went in this interview and uh the types of uh the types of
00:29:42.300 things we're going to hear from the media this week which are going to be excruciating the interview
00:29:46.060 airs tonight it's blaze tv.com slash glenn at 9 p.m eastern right after a brand new stew does america
00:29:53.420 the best of the glenn beck program
00:30:02.300 it's stew of studios america and jeffy of chewing the fat with jeff fisher in for glenn beck today
00:30:13.580 he's out sick he's got his interview tonight blaze tv.com slash glenn it is donald trump
00:30:18.760 and glenn beck at mar-a-lago going to be very interesting uh there's a column in
00:30:25.320 the federalists today uh 13 happenings in 2021 that i never would have believed five years ago
00:30:32.660 it's funny because these things happen so fast a lot of times we've we miss them my first reaction
00:30:37.400 would be only 13 only 13 it's got to be more than that uh let me give you this list tell me if these
00:30:43.060 are surprising to you jeffy if would you have been able to believe these five years ago five years
00:30:47.960 ago not that long ago i mean you're going back 2017 okay men as women uh this is the trend that
00:30:56.420 would have most shocked my grandparents is transgenderism men are now competing with women
00:31:00.360 in women's sports being housed with women in prison i will say that one does surprise me enough now we
00:31:07.220 knew this stuff was coming in 2017 but the fact that like half the country is saying yeah
00:31:13.000 that guy should be in the women's uh swimming uh pretty amazing that that's incredible yes it is
00:31:18.400 and women's prison like how can you be putting i mean that's a genius move let's be honest if you're
00:31:25.280 going to prison really yes oh my gosh you just say you're you're going to prison yep i'm a woman
00:31:32.500 gotta go there i mean that's that's genius it's a lot better than what i've heard happens in the other
00:31:39.060 side of the prison uh so if you have the opportunity you know if you're going to prison
00:31:44.340 and you're giving the opportunity of going to the men's prison or going to the women's prison sure
00:31:51.400 there are some i guess you know that but the argument is going to be well there's transgenderism
00:31:55.440 and they belong there for sure okay okay yeah not not necessarily the women aren't necessarily okay
00:32:01.020 with it but i know what you're saying and but as a as a as a man that would be going to prison
00:32:06.280 why wouldn't you why i mean honestly in all seriousness why wouldn't you say it correct
00:32:12.260 why wouldn't you say you know what yes sorry i'm a woman you got to put me in the women's in the
00:32:16.140 women's side i belong over there why wouldn't you say it i don't you're already in prison no
00:32:21.320 that's what i'm saying that's a genius move if if they allow it and they and i will say this if
00:32:27.660 you're in the right state they basically cannot legally question it right because you've you've said it
00:32:33.060 you've said it so all you have to do to be a woman is say you're a woman once you're on the
00:32:38.160 women's side of the prison i mean i think you know a lot of people would go to the creepy elements of
00:32:42.560 that which which there are many but also you know just to avoid the the horror show that is the men's
00:32:50.040 side of the prison with fights and and worse and i know that that you know look prison whether it's
00:32:57.720 men or feet or female you know prison ain't fun you can quote me on that wow prison ain't fun you're
00:33:04.840 getting real i know real wisdom i know from jeffy today all right number two on this list of the 13
00:33:10.240 things that would surprise anyone five years ago um blocking puberty parents now enabling young
00:33:17.460 children to change genders with dangerous surgeries and puberty blockers it's hard to believe that that
00:33:22.880 parents would go along with it is and i i don't is it is it as prevalent as we think it is
00:33:27.720 i mean i don't think it's making this list i don't but i don't think that it necessarily
00:33:32.640 makes the list i don't know that we're it is it's not look it's not a super super common thing
00:33:38.420 that's growing that we never would have believed five years ago yeah okay i'm i am surprised at how
00:33:43.920 many americans even those on the left that are willing to deny their own children's gender and
00:33:51.900 allow them to do terrible things to themselves yeah that is that is surprising to me now it's not the
00:33:56.880 majority i don't think of even the left but it's a lot of people yeah it's it's far far too many
00:34:02.260 uh drafting women uh the united states narrowly avoided a draft for women which was supported
00:34:08.980 by many elected officials in even the conservative party i don't think that was ever going to happen
00:34:12.620 though really and it didn't happen so i guess we wouldn't uh that one i don't know if i'd qualify
00:34:16.960 but that is i feel like it gets every every you know i don't know every few years it gets brought
00:34:22.220 up again and yeah but it is growing and it seems and it is it's very strange to hear an argument
00:34:28.100 that the side that is pro women is the side to get women shot in combat to get them drafted against
00:34:35.700 their will to go to war you know look chivalry is mostly dead but i did think we had a little
00:34:41.660 strain of it left but you know if we're if we choose hey if you've uh you know if you decided that
00:34:47.660 you're going to go to prison and you were a man when you were sentenced but you've decided to go
00:34:52.720 to a women's prison you know okay maybe you can go in the army too go ahead get out here you go fight
00:34:58.120 there you go yeah how about uh not prosecuting crime is the next one on the list that's not a
00:35:03.480 surprising trend i i think that one is surprising as well and what's interesting about at least these
00:35:07.360 first four is i think there's a real movement against these things you know there was the defund the
00:35:15.380 thing but even democratic cities are stepping up and saying wait a minute no i don't want
00:35:19.340 they're already fighting back against that they've already decided you know what no no let's not do
00:35:24.160 this is not going to work we're seeing the results of it i don't want this you know liberals want to
00:35:31.500 go to restaurants everybody wants to be able to pull into a 7-eleven and get their slurpee and get
00:35:36.260 their gas and go home and not get shot thank you right and when you offend you're offending not only
00:35:42.500 the conservatives who don't like these ideas generally but you're going so far in such an
00:35:46.980 insane way that you're you're hurting tons of moderates and even liberals yes how about massive
00:35:53.500 illegal immigration would you believe that five years ago i may have believed that one i mean the
00:35:57.540 democrats have been trying to do that for a long time and it was happening anyway even even under
00:36:02.140 trump i mean we had massive people amounts of people crossing the border obviously trump was trying
00:36:07.280 to do something about it which is unlike some other presidents but that's been going on for a long
00:36:12.240 time and is continuing and getting worse the catastrophe sort of situations on the border
00:36:17.800 maybe are worse than you'd think but the the amount of people crossing it is not incredibly shocking to
00:36:24.840 me how about widespread censorship i mean if you would have said five years ago the president of
00:36:30.800 the united states will be banned from all social media no way i would not have believed i would not
00:36:35.680 have either because i still kind of don't actually yeah what are you what are you talking about because
00:36:40.400 you know it's one thing to ban you know alex jones right and alex jones we've we argued against
00:36:45.880 alex jones being banned even though i don't agree with most of his you know his theories um but like
00:36:51.060 we we agree he shouldn't be silenced that's dumb but like the the the social media companies have a
00:36:57.720 real out with public figures they haven't they have an out from all responsibility because we should know
00:37:04.660 what the president of the united states is thinking we should know what the former president of the
00:37:08.980 united states is thinking the country needs to know that even if what he's saying is completely wrong
00:37:15.400 and irresponsible and racist or worse no matter what it is right like i don't think um you know
00:37:21.780 world leaders of any sort should be banned from these social media apps including people like you know
00:37:27.780 from iran because i don't think they are still and that's what's amazing they're not but the argument
00:37:34.280 to me is not they should be banned too it should be people like the president yes you know congress
00:37:40.780 women all these people should not be better i want to know what they're saying i want to know
00:37:45.220 shouldn't why should that be hidden and you know honestly like one of the things that i think the left
00:37:50.100 really misunderstood when they did the trump thing was that trump caused a lot of problems for himself
00:37:58.640 on twitter now he also had a lot of positives but a lot of even his most ardent supporters will say
00:38:03.780 oh i love the guy but i wish he'd stop doing that right they've taken that away from him you know
00:38:10.220 all of the whatever mistakes trump may have made on twitter over the past couple years haven't occurred
00:38:15.560 i know which is interesting and probably really positive for trump's re-election hopes certainly
00:38:20.960 is positive for people like me who see him talking to glenn beck and we're looking forward to his
00:38:26.600 interview tonight with glenn beck on blaze tv thinking i miss him yeah do i miss it i think
00:38:32.280 there's tons of people in that same boat just saying like good i mean look at biden is like
00:38:36.600 falling asleep in the middle of sentences where at least trump had energy you know a lot of people
00:38:43.500 didn't like him but it's hard to it's hard to argue that joe biden has done a good job here i i don't
00:38:50.060 even think the left is attempting it they're not sitting here going like actually this has been great
00:38:54.480 they'll say actually you know what's worse donald trump they'll say that but they won't even defend
00:39:01.060 him biden is doing a good job they can't i mean they can't number seven on this list of 13 happenings
00:39:07.480 in 2021 that i would have never seen coming five years ago uh parents labeled terrorists parents
00:39:14.100 were labeled domestic terrorists by the biden justice justice department for showing up at school
00:39:17.820 board meetings with complaints that's a pretty bad one that is a pretty bad that's a pretty bad one
00:39:21.900 and that's been proven that their parents were labeled that and it's ugly president's mental
00:39:28.060 abilities doubted president biden we've been doing that i will say i've been doing that every president
00:39:33.740 yeah really every president that i can remember outside of barack obama and maybe bill clinton i mean
00:39:40.120 democrats usually have a pass on this maybe the proper wording of this is a democrats president's
00:39:44.840 mental abilities probably i mean they were worried we were worried about reagan right
00:39:48.880 reagan george h george w bush oh the guys every time he flubbed a speech they would make us a story
00:39:55.560 for two weeks and people writing entire books about how dumb george bush was because he'd flub a word
00:40:00.860 what happened to that well usually a democrat has a complete pass they're smart they're the intelligent
00:40:06.740 one with biden they don't even argue that well i mean they can't there's the we could play an hour
00:40:13.580 off the top of our head clips we'd have to just go ask for of joe biden screwing up oh my gosh you
00:40:21.080 going um no we started a montage during the election i'm like let's just get all of his flubs and just
00:40:26.820 keep stringing them together and it'll be funny because it'll get longer longer we just gave up
00:40:30.100 yeah it got so long we couldn't even play it on the air it was this deal was like 12 minutes long of
00:40:35.180 just joe biden screwing things up and eventually you just run out of time on the show uh next uh up on
00:40:41.400 this list 13 happenings in 2021 that i never saw happening five years ago asking athletes for
00:40:47.520 advice i like this one a lot um i don't know that i wouldn't have seen that coming five years ago
00:40:53.040 because it was it was brewing but it's much much worse now and the way i would identify this is
00:40:57.240 something like colin kaepernick or lebron james and it's one of the reasons why uh i know a lot of
00:41:03.900 people in the audience have you know turned against sports particularly last year and and boycotted
00:41:08.200 them of course my team philadelphia eagles going to the playoffs i cannot do such a thing they could
00:41:13.620 all they could all be members of isis and i would still watch them because i love them as a matter of
