00:04:11.080And that is, I signed a law that banned Sharia compounds in the state of Texas, and we used that law to demolish and never allow to get off the ground Epic City.1.00
00:04:23.080Epic City tried to reestablish itself as the Meadow.1.00
00:04:34.180All those things that I did, my opponent is against.
00:04:37.480my opponent supports sharia law in the state of texas and so what voters need to know here in
00:04:44.520the state of texas is that this election is a referendum are we going to ban sharia law in the
00:04:50.680state of texas which is what we will be doing this next session if i am governor or are we going to
00:04:55.700allow sharia law to expand in the state of texas which would happen if my opponent gina henhouse
00:05:02.120is elected to the governor's office can you explain why sharia there's a people under 40
00:05:09.280it's like 35 are cool with sharia law can you explain why sharia law is so dangerous to texas
00:05:16.280and and our and our our way of life in the west well obviously you know from our beginnings
00:05:23.040we were a a christian-based state or and values that are either christian or along the lines of
00:05:30.880the judeo-christian pathway and real quickly one reason why i was able to prove that when i
00:05:38.220successfully defended the ten commandments monument on the texas capital grounds at the
00:05:41.780united states supreme court our argument was the ten commandments were a core value set of what
00:05:48.540made texas texas and the supreme court ruled in my favor we won the ten commandments still stand
00:05:53.480on the texas capital grounds because of that sure and the issue came up in that in that whole fight
00:05:59.060What if the five pillars of Islam were to be displayed on the Texas Capitol grounds?
00:06:05.020And I argue that that would not be applicable because Islam was not part of the traditions and history of the state of Texas.0.71
00:06:11.660So what is being advocated by Sharia law is contrary to the values of what made Texas, Texas.0.98
00:06:19.160And it would decimate our state for the values that have made us one of the most attractive states for people to live in and to move to.0.98
00:06:29.060Let me switch to, because I know the data centers are huge, and she has called on a moratorium on data centers, suing you over the Elon Musk emails.
00:06:44.840I know Tallarico just said that Paxton is selling out and going to be Elon Musk's whipping boy in the Senate.
00:06:57.680Can you explain where they are, where you are on data centers?
00:07:04.540So I've already put a moratorium on data centers.
00:07:10.200I've put a halt on any permits being granted to any data centers in the state of Texas.
00:07:17.220and I established the most detailed guidelines and guardrails of any state in the United States
00:07:23.260about what data centers must do to be able to exist in the state of Texas.
00:07:27.840For one, they must bring their own power, not take power off of our Texas power grid.
00:07:33.800So that will, for one, ensure the stability of our power grid,
00:07:37.760but also what they must do in bringing their own power,
00:07:41.220they must lead to the reduction of the cost of electricity
00:07:44.660as opposed to allowing the cost of electricity for consumers to go up.
00:07:48.300So one thing I want listeners to know in that is no data center will be able to cause an increase in the cost of electricity.
00:07:57.200People are concerned about water in their communities, justifiably.
00:08:00.160And so one of the guardrails is that data centers cannot take water from our communities that they need.
00:08:05.820They need to be able to bring their own water.
00:08:07.800There is new technology out there that exists that will allow data centers to operate without taking a single ounce of water from our communities.
00:08:18.140Third, they cannot be building these data centers in our rural neighborhoods that are just cropping up out of nowhere that are disturbing the beautiful landscape of our rural areas or even in urban or suburban setting.
00:08:32.400And then last, they cannot take any economic benefit from the state of Texas.
00:08:37.620They must pay for their own way to be able to operate in the state of Texas.
00:08:41.380The savings we'll take from that, I'm going to plow back into my property tax reduction program here in the state of Texas.
00:08:49.740There are guardrails and guidelines for any data center to operate in the state of Texas.
00:08:54.380However, because the data centers have provided inadequate information about how much power they would use, how much water they would use,
00:09:04.320Everything is on halt until we get all of that information.
00:09:07.740And then when we do get that information, when we go into this next session, beginning in January, we will turn into law these guidelines and guardrails that I've put in place.
00:09:17.480It's really frustrating because I am a believer in the data centers.
00:09:30.720They're so desperate for these data centers.
00:09:32.800they will abide by those kinds of guidelines.
00:09:36.860They will actually put more power into the grid than out of the grid.
00:09:41.180And if we watch them on water, we should be fine.
00:09:44.080If we have good, strong laws like you're talking about.
00:09:47.400I'm concerned that, you know, Texas has always been on the forefront of the future with oil and gas.
00:09:58.340We could be the strongest nation in the world if it wasn't for the United States.
00:10:04.880Texas could be because of all of the energy that we have and all of the development that we have here.
00:10:10.620And I worry about the left coming in and crushing us on energy again and then crushing us on data centers and things like Elon Musk, who is transforming the way we get to space here in Texas.
00:10:26.920Right. Well, let me show you why your concern is so very real that voters need to understand.
00:10:32.600And that is Gina Hanna hosted my opponent's position on the oil and gas sector that you were just talking about.
00:10:38.740When Hurricane Harvey hit in Texas in 2017, my opponent was a member of the Texas House of Representatives.
00:10:44.980She said the only way forward from a hurricane like that is with a Texas Green New Deal.
00:10:50.360She then proposed taxes, taxes and regulations on the oil and gas sector.
00:10:55.180She proposed an environmental justice agency in the state of Texas that would be monitoring the oil and gas sector.1.00
00:11:02.600Listen, her radical, crazy oil and gas policies would send hundreds of thousands of Texans to the unemployment line.1.00
00:11:09.440It would lead to a destruction of our oil and gas sector.1.00
00:11:13.020Texas would become more like California as opposed to Texas with regard to what we're doing on oil and gas.
00:11:18.680And it would be to skyrocketing prices at the pump because of our lack of production and refining of oil here in the state of Texas.
00:11:28.120And what people would be paying for gasoline in Texas would be more like it is in California, which is a couple of dollars higher per gallon.
00:11:35.320And so it would be devastating to our state, devastating to America if we were unable to produce oil and gas like we have in the past.
00:11:43.980So here's the deal for your listeners across the country, but most importantly for those in Texas.
00:11:48.700Jenny Hanna-Hosta, my opponent, is a vote to destroy the oil and gas sector.
00:11:53.360I need to be reelected to make sure Texas remains number one in producing oil in the United States,
00:11:58.900number three, I think it is, in the entire world.
00:12:01.740Before I let you go, we asked our subscribers to submit some questions to you,
00:12:05.800and probably one of the biggest ones that came in, they all kind of sounded like this.
00:12:11.560Texans have raised concerns about H-1B visas, large-scale immigration,
00:12:16.200leading to rapid demographic and cultural shifts in some communities.
00:12:19.860Is this something your administration is monitoring and considering doing anything about?
00:26:31.020You know, somebody asked me, Glenn, you know, because I said there will be buildings and bodies in the streets of New York within the next 10 years.
