The Glenn Beck Program - Best of the Program ｜ Guest： Elijah Schaffer ｜ 8⧸19⧸19

00:00:00.000 You're listening to the best of the Glenn Beck program.

00:00:30.000 Invasion. Invasion. Invasion. Invasion. Invasion. Invasion. Invasion. Invasion.

00:00:35.560 Yeah.

00:00:36.740 That's helpful.

00:00:37.940 It is.

00:00:38.780 Just so you can remember what that word is.

00:00:42.340 It's invasion that you're not supposed to say any now because it causes people to go into violence.

00:00:50.640 No, it really doesn't.

00:00:52.060 No, the word doesn't.

00:00:52.940 Uh-uh. No.

00:00:53.600 You know what doesn't definitely doesn't cause people to go into violence and create any conflict.

00:00:58.740 It only unites people.

00:01:00.000 It's when you accuse 50% of the United States of America of being racist.

00:01:04.460 Racist.

00:01:04.940 That is definitely not something.

00:01:06.460 That's a word you can use.

00:01:07.780 That's fine.

00:01:08.800 Well, in certain circumstances you can use it.

00:01:11.200 You may have found out in the past that you're not allowed to use it in all circumstances.

00:01:14.400 No, not in all circumstances.

00:01:15.700 If you're questioning the racist tendencies of a president that is not a Republican.

00:01:22.340 Ah, you can't use it then.

00:01:23.320 You can't use it.

00:01:23.640 But there's lots of other times you can use it.

00:01:25.460 Yeah, right now you can use it.

00:01:26.840 You know the word you can't use?

00:01:28.460 What's that?

00:01:28.740 Invasion.

00:01:30.040 Invasion.

00:01:30.940 Right.

00:01:31.540 We're not allowed to say the word invasion.

00:01:35.340 Invasion.

00:01:36.220 Invasion.

00:01:36.860 The word we're not allowed to say is invasion.

00:01:40.200 Invasion.

00:01:40.860 Invasion.

00:01:41.520 Invasion.

00:01:42.240 Invasion.

00:01:42.840 Invasion.

00:01:43.500 Invasion.

00:01:43.920 Not quite clear.

00:01:44.920 Invasion.

00:01:45.720 Invasion.

00:01:47.620 Invasion.

00:01:48.800 Now.

00:01:49.920 Now I understand.

00:01:51.260 You know, I think as Americans, we've been beaten down a little bit to lose kind of that rebellious spirit that we've always had.

00:02:00.720 I mean, that was the spirit of America.

00:02:02.600 It's like, oh, you don't think I can cross those mountains?

00:02:05.940 All right, just watch me.

00:02:07.400 You know, and then you're trapped in the snowstorm and you end up, you know, eating each other. 0.99

00:02:11.120 But not all rebellion is good, but I'm tired of the stupid, I'm tired of the stuff that is the word rebellion. 0.96

00:02:23.860 I mean, that's not even, that shouldn't even be rebellious. 0.96

00:02:27.940 But if you look, you know, we are in the time of Lenny Bruce.

00:02:32.880 I mean, really, truly, Lenny Bruce said the things that were humorous, but was making a point and wasn't afraid to say it.

00:02:44.060 And if he went to jail, he went to jail.

00:02:47.040 We're not even talking about jail.

00:02:48.920 We're talking about Facebook jail.

00:02:51.140 And we're afraid to say stuff.

00:02:53.420 I don't know if you saw the story that was written or the op-ed that was written in The Spectator by Bridget Phetasy.

00:03:01.900 She's a new friend of mine, and I just, I think she's hysterical.

00:03:08.400 And I think she's hysterical because she's never really been political, and yet she thought she was.

00:03:15.800 She thought she was this uber lefty.

00:03:18.620 And in many ways, she, I don't know, in many ways, she kind of is.

00:03:24.320 I don't know if she's really lefty.

00:03:25.920 She's just, you know, she's like, I just want everybody to get together and be happy and be nice to each other.

00:03:32.600 And I don't think she's.

00:03:33.960 It's not even that.

00:03:35.140 I don't know.

00:03:35.580 She's certainly not an uber lefty. 1.00

00:03:37.280 I would not classify her.

00:03:38.540 No, I think she was perceived as one.

00:03:40.400 There's just this thing that I think you see a lot now.

00:03:43.220 There's like an aspect of the left and the sort of moderate side of things that looks at the world and says, okay, I might not agree with you on taxes or health care or whatever, but like clearly the left woke thing is nuts.

00:04:00.760 Yes.

00:04:00.900 Like, you know, this incredible PC, you know, cancel culture craziness is something that can't possibly be positive for our civilization.

00:04:13.300 Yeah.

00:04:13.500 Like if you, you know, you get in trouble just for saying.

00:04:16.580 Invasion.

00:04:17.600 Invasion.

00:04:18.840 We're not allowed to say the word invasion.

00:04:22.880 Invasion.

00:04:23.740 Invasion.

00:04:24.360 The word we're not allowed to say is invasion.

00:04:27.720 Invasion.

00:04:28.380 Invasion.

00:04:29.060 Invasion.

00:04:29.480 Invasion.

00:04:30.400 Invasion.

00:04:30.900 Invasion.

00:04:31.540 Invasion.

00:04:32.420 Invasion.

00:04:33.060 Invasion.

00:04:33.340 Invasion.

00:04:33.660 Invasion.

00:04:33.780 Invasion.

00:04:34.220 Invasion.

00:04:34.780 Invasion.

00:04:35.220 Invasion.

00:04:36.840 You know, for instance, like if you're on Fox News, here they are avoiding it.

00:04:41.080 Facts we spoke about is simple.

00:04:43.560 When you have individuals in large quantities that enter another country by force or illegally waving the flag of another country, that is an invasion.

00:04:55.160 I stand by those words.

00:04:56.220 Hold on.

00:04:56.620 So what this has caused.

00:04:59.580 Go ahead.

00:05:00.280 What this has caused is by individuals that have attacked law enforcement.

00:05:02.720 Obviously, we've got to push back on comments like that.

00:05:05.500 People will take issue with you calling it that.

00:05:08.840 It's obviously a sensitive issue right now.

00:05:11.060 So I want to deal with what we saw in this exclusive video with this armed man throwing these devices into this ice facility last month.

00:05:19.620 This is obviously something that you need to directly respond to because this is something that is alarming.

00:05:25.860 Okay, so wait.

00:05:28.460 So he just gave the definition of an invasion, and they said, don't use the word invasion.

00:05:37.800 Invasion.

00:05:38.380 All right.

00:05:38.960 Stop.

00:05:39.380 Stop.

00:05:39.900 Okay.

00:05:42.240 Stop it.

00:05:43.480 Stop it right now.

00:05:44.840 What were we not supposed to use?

00:05:46.120 I can't even, I don't even know now.

00:05:47.480 You stopped it in the middle.

00:05:48.560 I assumed they were getting to.

00:05:49.760 Really?

00:05:50.180 Yeah.

00:05:50.500 You didn't.

00:05:50.980 From Bridget Phetasy, like millions of other Americans, I'm exhausted.

00:06:16.520 But I'm not tired from resisting or tired from screaming at a MAGA rally.

00:06:21.700 I'm just tired of the toxic tribalism infecting the very foundations of our democracy, straining our relationships, and poisoning our view of our fellow humans.

00:06:33.520 I'm tired of everyone being outraged, getting worked up over the latest news cycle only to forget about it two hours later.

00:06:39.860 I'm tired of being afraid to voice my own opinions, of knowing how saying the wrong thing at a barbecue while someone is filming on their iPhone could result in a nationwide clarion call for my head on a pike. 0.98

00:06:52.940 I'm tired of the rage mobs and the cancellations.

00:06:57.080 2016 was a breaking point, or at least a watershed moment, when the vilification of diverse opinion exploded.

00:07:05.100 Trump versus Hillary forced everything into a binary and suddenly bipartisanship and moderation and radical positions to take. 0.83

00:07:16.980 Now, you aren't just voicing out of habit or, God forbid, voting for your own interests.

00:07:23.300 Every vote is a statement on your own personal identity and worth, your value, who you are, what world you want, whether or not you're a good person or an evil person.

00:07:36.000 It all boils down to whichever lever you pull. 0.99

00:07:38.780 Damn your reasons, vote for the right person, or else you're a fascist or a racist, a globalist or a communist. 0.99

00:07:48.240 Politically disinterested citizens like me have increasingly been pulled off the sidelines into this incredibly divisive political climate. 1.00

00:07:57.220 Unwilling combatants in a battle fought among fiercely partisan tribes.

00:08:02.500 Many are being bullied into involving themselves in the process because intolerance and shaming have become features of the American life.

00:08:11.580 Thanks in no small part to social media, the simple act of expressing your opinion or even going so far as to ask a question has been negative, has had negative effects on lives and has destroyed people.

00:08:25.400 You may have once fancied yourself a good progressive, while also having an opinion that there are only two genders.

00:08:32.020 Or you may describe yourself as a staunch conservative but tend to think racial targeting by police is a problem.

00:08:38.840 Or the cardinal sin.

00:08:40.720 You may have decided to vote for a candidate you felt better represented your concerns.

00:08:46.320 Upon voicing on social media, you think you're fairly normal and have moderate views, but then you find out something you didn't know.

00:08:55.400 You are the enemy. 0.98

00:08:57.860 And not just the enemy, you're evil, evil, evil.

00:09:03.020 After 2016's chaotic impact on the culture took hold, each mere opinion or vote became life or death, the fight for the survival of civilization.

00:09:13.860 And you're either with civilization or you're against civilization.

00:09:19.220 The trouble is, everyone believes they're on the right side of history.

00:09:23.700 And they all justify abhorrent behavior in service of that belief.

00:09:28.440 Families are now divided.

00:09:30.400 Extremes have become more extreme and shades of gray are being shunned.

00:09:35.180 Expressions of nuance, mocked, anyone moderate with a brain and anything to lose has gone completely silent.

00:09:45.700 I get it.

00:09:47.100 I understand why the silent majority is uneasy.

00:09:50.720 They're not wrong to worry that sharing their opinion could cost them their livelihood.

00:09:55.840 Most people are just trying to raise their families and pay their bills and pine for the days when they only had to think about politics every four years.

00:10:03.360 Now, millions of independent thinkers recently polled at about 70% of the American population are labeled as the exhausted majority.

00:10:12.780 Those harboring intense feelings of political homelessness and ideological isolation.

00:10:19.780 You say that at number again, 70%.

00:10:22.940 Both parties demand totalitarian-like devotion to their ideology.

00:10:28.060 And if you're indifferent, apathetic, or nuanced in your approach to politics, you'll end up in the wasteland of the center, tireless, unprotected, and increasingly insulated.

00:10:41.160 You'll have no tribe.

00:10:43.280 But you're not alone.

00:10:45.280 My inboxes have become something of a confession booth for people who have issues with their own side or sympathy for their political opponents.

00:10:52.940 People I speak with at length in person have all manner of opinions and thoughts.

00:10:57.540 And they not only don't feel comfortable admitting this publicly, but they go out of their way to craft an online image that portrays sometimes the exact opposite.

00:11:08.640 The trouble with living under mob law is that no one is honest.

00:11:13.260 Gee, think of that.

00:11:15.380 But this silencing of public and private personas needs to stop.

00:11:19.980 We all abandon our duty as citizens when we put party loyalty over thinking critically and speaking truthfully.

00:11:26.980 We can't expect integrity from our leaders if we don't expect it from ourselves.

00:11:31.960 Thank you, Bridget.

00:11:33.540 Thank you.

00:11:34.360 It is absolutely our duty as citizens to denounce demagoguery, where we see it, when we see it, to fight corruption, to push back against attacks on free speech, due process, and the scientific method, to combat racism, sexism, anti-Semitism, and all forms of bigotry, to continue to extend the gains made by the civil rights movement, to demand compromise and moderation.

00:11:58.520 This starts with fighting our own tribal instincts and laziness and educating ourselves.

00:12:05.020 We may not see eye to eye on how to best make America even greater, but we need to be able to have a conversation about it that starts with extending good faith and grace to people with whom we disagree.

00:12:17.660 It doesn't start with calling everyone who disagrees with us garbage.

00:12:21.420 This is what we have been saying, and the good news is it's coming from people who have traditionally considered themselves on the left.

00:12:33.420 It's happening, and I'll show you the beginning of a theory.

00:12:40.780 I think the pendulum is swinging back the other way.

00:12:43.980 So, Bridget was saying in her essay that democracy doesn't die in the darkness.

00:12:52.040 It dies when politics become team sports, in full view of a bloodthirsty, cheering electorate.

00:13:00.480 You know, it's interesting because democracy dies in the darkness.

00:13:04.440 No, it really doesn't.

00:13:06.860 You know, one of my favorite scenes from Star Wars, any of the first three, it's in fact one of the only good scenes,

00:13:11.880 is that one scene where Palpatine is talking about protecting the empire, and everyone is cheering,

00:13:20.740 and he's talking about all the evil things he's going to do, and everyone is cheering,

00:13:25.060 and that's when, what's her face, Natalie Portman's character says, this is how democracy dies.

00:13:31.560 It's how liberty dies.

00:13:32.220 It's how liberty dies.

00:13:33.040 With thunderous applause.

00:13:34.060 Yeah.

00:13:34.300 Right?

00:13:34.620 Yeah.

00:13:35.360 And it's true. 0.56

00:13:37.120 We're in the Roman Coliseum.

00:13:39.620 We're just not feeding each other to lions, dot, dot, dot, yet.

00:13:44.480 We're just not there.

00:13:46.480 But we are headed that way.

00:13:49.840 We are, I mean, it was funny last week to hear people call people conspiracy theorists on both sides for the same kind of theory.

00:13:59.220 One just said that Epstein was killed by, you know, Trump, and the other side said he was killed by Clinton.

00:14:06.280 You know, there's a possibility, and I don't know if you're willing to consider it, that neither of those guys killed him.

00:14:12.580 Yeah.

00:14:12.900 It seems like the medical examiner came up with that crazy theory.

00:14:16.080 Yeah.

00:14:16.420 Which was, he hung himself.

00:14:17.880 Yeah.

00:14:18.560 In his jail cell.

00:14:20.560 The medical examiner's name, of course, was George Soros, but.

00:14:24.080 Okay.

00:14:24.480 I mean, you're not caring for the, the, caring water for the Nazis. 0.55

00:14:33.520 I was like.

00:14:34.600 You're, you're, you're, you have a right to your own voice.

00:14:39.040 Well, this is the coverage you saw in Portland, right?

00:14:40.980 Like, you don't have to be, you know, some militia group marching, marching down the streets of Portland.

00:14:47.880 And you also don't need to be Antifa.

00:14:50.320 Yes.

00:14:50.600 Right.

00:14:51.020 And like, I was listening to, even, there was some, you know, expert from the, he served in the Barack Obama administration talking about.

00:14:57.880 Oh, did he?

00:14:58.160 Yeah.

00:14:58.580 He was, you know, terrorism expert.

00:14:59.920 And he's talking about the rise of, of these groups on both sides.

00:15:03.140 And then he does mention Antifa as, as a danger, but goes on to say, look, you know, I think it's very ironic that we're talking about making Antifa into a terrorist group when they were specifically formed to stop terrorism.

00:15:17.300 No, they weren't.

00:15:17.560 It's like, no, they weren't.

00:15:18.880 What world do you live in where you, you actually believe because it says Antifa that you're like, oh, well, they Antifa, fascists, Antifascist.

00:15:27.640 See, they're antifascist.

00:15:29.220 So therefore they're okay.

00:15:30.540 They're pro-totalitarianism.

00:15:32.740 Well, yeah.

00:15:33.120 They are, they are communists.

00:15:34.780 They were, this comes from the battle between communists and fascists in the 1930s.

00:15:41.040 And they were both just as dangerous and both just as deadly.

00:15:45.460 Yeah.

00:15:45.960 I mean, it's, it's, it's crazy to think otherwise.

00:15:49.440 And to get someone who just will come out and say, look, taking pieces of cement and throwing them at officers and citizens, beating the crap out of old people in the middle of the street. 0.90

00:15:59.200 Yeah.

00:15:59.440 Why that has to have any controversy attached to it.

00:16:02.060 Why you can't just say that and admit it is a big part of the problem I think she's talking about here.

00:16:06.680 So I want to get into the pendulum between me and we, the we generation and the me generation and how that has an 80 year cycle.

00:16:18.540 But I think it's starting to go back to the me and I'll explain.

00:16:24.640 I'm going to share with you some, what I think is good news.

00:16:27.120 I've been, you know, I've been studying waves and, uh, and pendulums and curves for, for a long time.

00:16:36.040 Now I've been looking for where history repeats itself.

00:16:39.860 And one of the important pendulums has been the me and we back in the 1980s, we were at the, the Zenith of the me generation.

00:16:50.700 And everybody says that's bad and it might be bad because we are in this together.

00:16:56.260 But the deal with a me generation is it never goes bad with government, uh, taking over a bunch of stuff because it's all about the individual.

00:17:08.040 And so nobody can cobble together a big enough force to have a, you know, a totalitarian state, traditionally speaking.

00:17:16.460 And it's an 80 year cycle.

00:17:19.240 Now we're approaching the Zenith of the, we, the last time, uh, America or the West saw we was in the 1930s and we know what happened.

00:17:31.340 And we went through the new deal cause we were all in it together and we had all kinds of socialist ideas that had been brewing for a while, but all of a sudden they kicked in.

00:17:42.820 And the same thing happened, the, we, before that, uh, was during the civil war.

00:17:49.760 Uh, and that was the, the exact time that over in Europe, they were doing the communist manifesto.

00:17:56.420 And the time before that was the American revolution and the French revolution.

00:18:00.680 The French revolution shows that if you don't have the right principles, it goes awry.

00:18:06.640 The communist manifesto in Europe, if you go into a wee generation and you don't have the right principles, you go awry.

00:18:15.220 Same thing here.

00:18:16.380 So 2025 is the peak of the wee generation.

00:18:21.920 And then it starts to come back.

00:18:25.040 Now I asked the guy who did all the research on this and I said, so do you, what, what is the effect of social media?

00:18:33.240 And he said, we don't know.

00:18:35.040 And I said, it would, it should speed it up.

00:18:37.480 Shouldn't it?

00:18:38.160 And he said it might.

00:18:40.480 Well, I think we have, I think we've seen the peak.

00:18:44.280 I could be wrong, but I think we've seen the peak of the wee generation.

00:18:49.880 I think we're moving in the other direction.

00:18:52.180 And let me make the case.

00:18:53.440 There are three factors that we're all feeling right now.

00:18:57.280 One of them is globalism, globalism versus nationalism.

00:19:01.640 The globalists, I think, are still in control.

00:19:06.260 And, and a lot of people feel the pressure from globalism.

00:19:09.820 And when I say globalism, what I mean is having to be the world's policeman, having everybody tied together and no real nation state, no borders or anything else.

00:19:21.320 And on top of that, you have corrupt cronyism and capitalism that's just corrupt, not a free market, but a corrupt game playing capitalism that's controlled by very wealthy people and governments.

00:19:37.380 Okay, so those things are still on the rise and no one, you can say you're cleaning out the swamp, but are you cleaning out the swamp?

00:19:44.680 Is the swamp allowed to be cleaned out by anybody?

00:19:48.240 Who's actually taking on the big things?

00:19:53.060 Now, Donald Trump, you can paint him as a warmonger, but the last thing he is is a warmonger.

00:19:58.720 He was not for any of these wars.

00:20:01.760 That is a direct reflection of people saying, I'm tired of this globalist thing.

00:20:07.740 And that's why it's being pushed to nationalism.

00:20:11.640 Okay.

00:20:12.580 And it's being pushed there by things that are easily taken care of.

00:20:17.640 But if you don't take care of those things, the country will become more and more nationalistic because what people are saying is, why are we spending so much money abroad?

00:20:27.560 Why are we doing these things?

00:20:29.340 These people are getting rich and I'm getting poor.

00:20:32.380 What are you doing?

00:20:33.940 I care about my country.

00:20:35.500 I care about when you boil it down.

00:20:37.420 I don't care about my country as much as I care about my neighborhood.

00:20:40.940 I do care about my country, but I'm seeing things fall apart in my neighborhood.

00:20:46.960 And that's the pain point.

00:20:48.720 That's what's pushing nationalism.

00:20:51.220 And it's going to push it on both sides.

00:20:53.300 In the end, it'll push it on both sides.

00:20:55.760 Socialism is also going up, but that is because capitalism has not been routed out for being corrupt.

00:21:04.400 It needs to be corrected.

00:21:06.840 Companies need to be corrected.

00:21:09.660 Let them stand on their own.

00:21:11.500 Let them fail.

00:21:12.520 Don't give them any special favors.

00:21:15.100 Let the little guy have a chance to compete.

00:21:19.300 That's not happening.

00:21:20.780 And every day you read something about Facebook or Google, those things are hurting.

00:21:27.120 They're not helping because people see these things as giant corporations, not socialist movement.

00:21:33.780 Giant corporations that are corrupt, that are getting their way and getting rich off of our backs.

00:21:38.820 So that's another reason why socialism is going up.

00:21:42.760 But we're going the opposite direction, and I think this is a leading indicator.

00:21:48.040 We're starting to feel the pain now on we.

00:21:53.740 We're starting to feel the pain on I have to walk lockstep with a tribe, or I'm going to lose my job, or I'm going to lose all my friends, or I'm going to lose my family.

00:22:04.620 That's so un-American, that's so un-American, that's so unlike us, except in wee moments. 0.57

00:22:11.980 And it's the worst I've ever seen it, and the worst, I think this is the worst since the Civil War.

00:22:17.940 And you're either with entirely 100%, or you're against entirely 100%.

00:22:26.460 And people are tired of it, and they're fed up with it on both sides.

00:22:32.060 I think this is good news, Pat.

00:22:35.540 Yeah, and there may have been some indication of what you're talking about with Bill Maher over the weekend.

00:22:40.960 Right?

00:22:41.620 Yeah.

00:22:41.880 Have you guys played that yet?

00:22:43.560 No, let's play.

00:22:44.340 Here's Bill Maher over the weekend.

00:22:46.580 BDS is a b****** purity test by people who want to appear woke but actually slept through history class.

00:22:53.400 That's awesome.

00:22:54.680 That is awesome.

00:22:56.400 Wow.

00:22:57.260 He's talking about the boycott Israel movement. 0.66

00:22:59.600 On this notion, I think it's very shallow thinking that the Jews are in Israel mostly white, and the Palestinians are browner,

00:23:06.980 so they must be innocent and correct, and the Jews must be wrong. 0.98

00:23:10.560 As if the occupation came right out of the blue, that this completely peaceful people found themselves occupied.

00:23:18.580 Forget about the invitatas, and the suicide bombings, and the rockets, and how many wars.

00:23:24.680 And let me read Omar Barghouti is one of the co-founders of the movement.

00:23:30.540 His quote,

00:23:31.260 No Palestinian, rational Palestinian, not a sellout Palestinian, will ever accept a Jewish state in Palestine. 1.00

00:23:39.320 So that's where that comes from, this movement.

00:23:42.480 Someone who doesn't even want a Jewish state at all. 0.77

00:23:45.760 Somehow this side never gets presented in the American media.

00:23:48.840 It's very odd.

00:23:50.100 Isn't it?

00:23:50.700 Huh.

00:23:51.360 How about that?

00:23:51.920 How about that for a Democrat, a clear-cut liberal, coming out against that BDS movement?

00:23:58.000 He's one of the only guys that has been able to withstand it somewhat.

00:24:02.560 Yeah.

00:24:03.140 He has, even he has crumbled somewhat.

00:24:06.400 But he has been willing to stand up for what he believed was right in spite of his audience.

00:24:13.600 Mm-hmm.

00:24:13.860 Um, and you're seeing it more and more.

00:24:16.840 And this is, this, this is almost a third rail.

00:24:19.740 Almost a third rail.

00:24:21.200 It's not quite.

00:24:22.620 But if you left it alone, it would be.

00:24:25.120 Another year or two of festering with BDS and just looking the other way, it would become a third rail on the left.

00:24:31.140 Yeah, and what did we see this weekend?

00:24:32.480 We saw Omar and Tlaib, I believe it was, retweeting a Holocaust deniers cartoon.

00:24:38.140 Yeah.

00:24:38.320 About, about Israel, you had, um, Palestine banning, um, uh, events by LGBT, um, uh, communities in the area because you can't, they can't do that.

00:24:51.960 There's no, no complaint from anyone here in the United States.

00:24:55.040 These people that were so angry about Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib not being able to go visit her grandmother, even though she was, and decided not to.

00:25:03.900 So, so upset about that, but not upset about them, you know, retweeting cartoons from Holocaust deniers, and not upset about LGBT people being trounced in their rights in Palestine.

00:25:17.280 Quote, unquote, Palestine.

00:25:18.720 No interest at all from them on that story.

00:25:21.700 Not in that story.

00:25:22.440 It's fascinating.

00:25:23.180 I think the squad or the tribe or whatever you want to call them, uh, that pack of, of rabid women, uh, I think they're actually hurting the Democrats more than they, more than anyone ever thought.

00:25:39.020 And I think the leadership knows that.

00:25:40.500 Oh, yeah.

00:25:40.880 But they just can't get a grip on them.

00:25:42.300 They can't, they can't control them.

00:25:43.700 It's one of the, of course not.

00:25:46.180 They're revolutionaries.

00:25:47.720 Right.

00:25:47.960 Um, the, the, um, amazing thing to me is, is this is part of the pain that people are feeling.

00:25:54.780 They don't want to be, for instance, let's take on our own side.

00:25:58.800 There are lots of things about Donald Trump that bother me.

00:26:02.460 And you're immediately called a racist if you like Donald Trump.

00:26:07.100 Well, I don't like the footsie that, you know, people like Steve Bannon were playing.

00:26:12.740 Um, I don't think Donald Trump is a racist.

00:26:15.240 I don't, I don't think he hates the Jews.

00:26:17.960 I don't think he hates the Muslims.

00:26:20.320 I don't think he hates Mexican.

00:26:22.040 He's a businessman and a performer.

00:26:24.940 That's what he is.

00:26:26.380 And you may not like what he says or how he says it and some of his policies, but that

00:26:34.200 doesn't make you a racist.

00:26:35.580 But if you step out and go, I don't really like that.

00:26:39.020 I don't like what he said there.

00:26:40.260 All of a sudden, you're a, what, coxervative? 1.00

00:26:44.840 Yeah.

00:26:45.320 You know, you're, you're, you're out of the tribe. 0.99

00:26:49.180 That won't work if you want to get anyone elected within any kind of, of majority.

00:26:55.180 That's what the Democrats have taught the right.

00:27:00.660 And that's what the Democrats are farther down this road.

00:27:03.440 And I think there's a lot of Democrats who are like, look, I want to be, I believe in,

00:27:07.540 you know, healthcare for all.

00:27:09.320 And I believe in a lot of these things, but I got to tell you, I don't believe America

00:27:13.960 is a bad place and I don't believe BDS is right.

00:27:18.060 And there's something wrong with these women. 1.00

00:27:20.380 There's something wrong with these Congress people.

00:27:23.240 These people are not in line with the average Democrat.

00:27:28.400 And I think there's a lot of Democrats that want to say that just as many Democrats as

00:27:33.080 there are Republicans who say, yeah, I'm going to vote for Donald Trump, but I got a problem

00:27:36.880 with this, this, and this.

00:27:38.560 Right.

00:27:38.960 And of course, the greatest strategy of, uh, electoral, uh, strategy for Donald Trump

00:27:43.540 right now is to show everyone exactly who the squad is, keep pointing to them and telling

00:27:48.440 everyone that's who the Democrats are.

00:27:50.060 It is.

00:27:50.460 And the Democrats are trying, doing everything they can behind the scenes to try to make

00:27:54.500 it so that's not obvious to everyone.

00:27:57.240 Right.

00:27:57.740 Because I mean, like, what is the real line between, uh, the, the average Democrat and,

00:28:02.360 um, and the squad?

00:28:04.380 I mean, it's, it's generally speaking loudness, right?

00:28:07.660 The squad keeps admitting these things they've been fighting for, for how many decades?

00:28:11.240 Uh, and that's not what's supposed to happen. 0.98

00:28:13.300 Uh, and they're just kind of dumb enough to blurt it out there. 0.97

00:28:16.560 They want to tell you who they are. 0.98

00:28:20.040 Remember that?

00:28:21.040 Yeah.

00:28:21.140 Yeah.

00:28:21.320 I said that.

00:28:22.140 I'll never forget.

00:28:23.080 I can, I can still feel what I felt like when I said that on Fox in 2009 or 10, they want,

00:28:32.000 they're desperate to tell you who they really are.

00:28:35.140 Absolutely.

00:28:35.480 That will be their undoing and that's it.

00:28:38.540 Their masks have come off and they, they refuse to sit down because they know they're right.

00:28:45.180 And they're tired of it.

00:28:47.660 They're tired of all these people saying, oh, that's not the American people.

00:28:51.320 You can't say that.

00:28:52.260 They want to tell you.

00:28:53.880 They're tired of the incremental progression.

00:28:56.860 The progression is not fast enough for them.

00:28:58.740 And now they're going for revolution.

00:29:00.240 Exactly right.

00:29:00.980 Exactly right.

00:29:01.600 Thank you so much, Pat.

00:29:02.320 You know, this might say something about the company that I keep, but I had a lot of volunteers

00:29:28.580 to go to Portland this last weekend.

00:29:31.340 And I'm like, why would you want to do that?

00:29:33.460 I want to be there.

00:29:34.180 I want to see this.

00:29:36.140 Elijah Schaefer was the one that was selected to go up to, at least for, for me, I know,

00:29:42.880 I think he was going up anyway.

00:29:45.100 But he went up to Portland and was in the crowd, you know, videotaping and documenting

00:29:51.940 the beatings.

00:29:52.840 And he saw all kinds of things.

00:29:54.720 Welcome to the program, Elijah.

00:29:56.120 How are you?

00:29:56.580 You know what?

00:29:58.420 I'm doing great right now.

00:29:59.840 I'm talking to you outside of Portland, Oregon, still here in the middle of Ground Zero.

00:30:04.800 Thank you for having me on.

00:30:05.860 You bet.

00:30:06.720 The host of Slightly Offensive.

00:30:10.280 And Elijah goes into some of the places that I would never go into. 0.85

00:30:14.840 And I think for obvious reason, I think I would have had the crap kicked out of me in that 0.98

00:30:20.500 crowd this weekend. 0.98

00:30:22.800 Yeah.

00:30:23.240 You know what?

00:30:23.860 And I'm not going to be vulgar here, but this is a true story.

00:30:26.940 You know, I was brandishing some Blaze logos while I was out there.

00:30:30.420 And a lot of people, surprising Glenn, they really hate you. 0.91

00:30:37.200 They had a weird obsession with your genitals to the point, if you actually watch one of 0.99

00:30:43.780 our clips, one man dressed in a dog, I guess I could describe it as a dog sex fetish costume, 0.99

00:30:51.240 which is the number one way to get respect and show you mean business. 0.97

00:30:53.960 Sure.

00:30:55.160 Sure.

00:30:55.560 He had a megaphone.

00:30:57.580 He was leading the chant after they had assaulted and beat up two elderly people.

00:31:02.260 He just began to talk about things that maybe I was doing with you, a lot of homophobic slurs,

00:31:08.280 talking about the taste of your body and weird things, and that you are a Mormon. 0.57

00:31:11.980 These guys know all about you, so you're basically a little celebrity in that.

00:31:14.720 Yeah.

00:31:14.980 Good, good.

00:31:15.600 Well, I'd love to have him come over, and I'll put a dog dish down so he can have some

00:31:20.840 water.

00:31:21.160 I do believe we have a bleeped version of this particular video, if you haven't seen this, Glenn.

00:31:25.460 Go ahead.

00:31:26.540 Go where we get nourished!

00:31:33.300 Go where we go home, guys.

00:31:37.840 Hey, come over here.

00:31:38.880 You got a lot of...

00:31:40.280 You'll hear the, um, guy on the megaphone in a moment.

00:31:43.640 Give him a pass out! 1.00

00:31:44.160 Give him a pass out! 1.00

00:31:49.960 Yes, your mother, Josephで financials.

00:31:52.160 All right, I don't think we need to hear any more of what he was saying.

00:32:10.900 No, I think we all get it.

00:32:12.020 Interesting observations there.

00:32:13.380 Yeah, yeah, yeah.

00:32:13.920 He seemed to be very, very in the...

00:32:15.680 I thought a lot about it, I would say, Elijah.

00:32:17.340 It was not an off-the-top-of-his-head sort of point.

00:32:19.840 But you seemed to be dreaming about it for a very long time.

00:32:23.180 So, Elijah, as you're...

00:32:25.120 I think we can move on from this.

00:32:27.280 Elijah, as you're sitting there and you're watching them beat people,

00:32:33.360 is there anybody decent in the crowd?

00:32:36.260 Is there anyone that's wearing a mask that is like,

00:32:38.640 you're thinking, they're thinking, no, we've got to stop doing this.

00:32:42.000 This is not good.

00:32:44.020 Yeah, you know, I really would have hoped that was the case.

00:32:46.860 And actually what happened was, I think, obviously these are protesters, right?

00:32:50.740 So I don't want to paint the picture that, you know,

00:32:53.520 everybody on the right side isn't also maybe looking for a fight

00:32:57.220 because there are people out there looking for a fight.

00:32:58.960 But what happened was, is after they had a, you know, assaulted an old man and woman,

00:33:03.580 especially if a young person stands up to you, I get you might fight back.

00:33:07.260 These are old people. 1.00

00:33:08.400 They smash an egg over the wife's head. 0.98

00:33:11.340 Do we have this video?

00:33:12.220 Can we roll this while he's talking, please?

00:33:13.760 Yeah.

00:33:14.460 Go ahead and roll this while he's talking.

00:33:15.600 Turn the sound down, please.

00:33:19.160 Go ahead.

00:33:19.920 And, yeah, and they start pushing him on the floor.

00:33:22.480 And then I would think, you know, at the very least you would stop there.

00:33:25.080 But then they start stomping on the man's body while he's on the floor.

00:33:30.240 And it's to the point where this man was basically seizuring at a point.

00:33:34.240 And then all around him, the people are like, oh, just let him go.

00:33:37.760 People are yelling obscenities. 0.99

00:33:39.180 F you, you deserve this. 0.99

00:33:40.360 I had to go actually get the police to come to get them out just because I was afraid that they were going to kill the people. 0.98

00:33:46.820 And what was the guy doing that they felt he deserved that?

00:33:54.700 Look, I watched the altercation for a while.

00:33:59.480 And I know that he did use an expletive.

00:34:01.840 I mean, people were pushing him and shoving him.

00:34:04.300 And I know he did call someone, you know, a homophobic slur back to them.

00:34:09.100 And they were telling him, you know, you need to go.

00:34:10.700 You need to leave.

00:34:11.300 And he stood there and then they just basically jumped on them in the middle of public park.

00:34:16.900 And they pepper sprayed them multiple times the face of bear mace.

00:34:20.300 And they were blinded for about an hour and a half.

00:34:22.920 I actually had to take an hour out of the day.

00:34:24.720 I didn't have to, but I had to help, you know, nurse them back to life because they were just stuck on the concrete.

00:34:29.880 The police just dropped them off in the middle of a lot.

00:34:32.100 Good old Mayor Ted Wheeler's police force, you know, under great direction to help the public.

00:34:37.340 So were they out in force, though?

00:34:38.780 I heard that things have changed to where the police were there in force.

00:34:42.600 Is that true or not?

00:34:44.760 You know, it's definitely a deceptive measure because I can confirm that police were told to retreat on pretty much every occasion.

00:34:52.880 And any time there was an actual chance to prevent violence, police would leave the area and let the Antifa just go into full mayhem.

00:35:00.640 So they would move to an area and then they would just completely flood out of the area.

00:35:05.160 And Antifa would go crazy, start beating people up, and then Antifa would push further into the city where the next police line was.

00:35:12.140 And then they would disperse.

00:35:13.340 And it was a total non-intervention measure where people were – one guy got arrested.

00:35:18.280 His name was – what was his name?

00:35:20.860 Alexander Dial.

00:35:21.780 His name is for wearing a shirt that says Beta Cuck for Life.

00:35:24.700 Isn't that fantastic?

00:35:25.680 He wore a shirt that says Beta Cuck for Life.

00:35:27.260 He's the gentleman who really heated up the altercation that's going famous on the bridge where there was two buses full of right-wing protesters stuck in traffic.

00:35:38.340 And they came up and assaulted the bus.

00:35:40.180 Now, this guy had – he got away with multiple assaults before getting arrested.

00:35:44.220 So the police, you know, they move in once – they basically have to prevent a death.

00:35:48.080 But other than that, if people want to fight, they're just ready to watch the havoc.

00:35:51.600 But Ted Wheeler's been caught on camera, and he stands with people who stand against this, and they have the right to demonstrate.

00:35:57.620 And according to him, demonstrations are also tearing apart your city and beating people up who are walking down the street.

00:36:03.240 So there's one guy – and we've been watching some of the video that you guys took – one guy who's wearing, like, a Roman Legion helmet and, you know, says, I hate the left.

00:36:13.280 And was he with his daughter?

00:36:15.780 Okay, that's a common misconception.

00:36:19.420 I was actually talking to Dan Bongino about this last night, and he said he's going to correct it on his show today.

00:36:24.660 That was definitely not his daughter.

00:36:27.380 She – from my understanding, she's a 24-year-old woman. 1.00

00:36:31.000 Okay.

00:36:31.280 But I might have my age wrong.

00:36:33.140 Okay.

00:36:33.380 But she still is very small.

00:36:35.200 But she's not a – she's not the daughter, because that's insane if that's what he did.

00:36:39.940 No, but there were babies there.

00:36:41.580 There was a – there was women with babies in strollers.

00:36:44.420 What is wrong with people?

00:36:45.340 What are you – well, what are you doing?

00:36:48.140 So what was your overall – what was your overall takeaway from this, Elijah?

00:36:53.160 They expected this to be a complete meltdown.

00:36:56.500 What was your overall takeaway?

00:36:59.660 I think that, you know, basically what we have here is that the city has clearly shown that the involvement of police is a PR stunt for a city that has absolutely fallen to homelessness and to unrulyness and to anarchy.

00:37:13.280 And the teenagers, not only were they mostly young white people.

00:37:17.020 You always find where the people fighting Nazis and fascists and racists are all just a bunch of white people, young white people specifically.

00:37:23.540 I found out that, you know, they have, like, militant factions and recruiting in the colleges around here, which is interesting.

00:37:30.320 Did some background on that.

00:37:32.520 They're out here in the streets, and the police aren't doing anything.

00:37:35.600 They yell at the police, scream at them, throw things, and nothing happens.

00:37:39.400 And then the people end up getting released after the fact, unless they do something severely problematic.

00:37:45.120 And there's no respect for the rule of law.

00:37:47.140 The demonstrations grew and grew with size.

00:37:49.160 As the police didn't do anything, people kept going.

00:37:51.520 And the mayor is completely complicit with it.

00:37:53.860 They want blood.

00:37:54.740 They don't care.

00:37:55.540 And I can tell you from the signs I see in windows to the way things were on the streets, this is only a couple weeks after the last one of these demonstrations I put out lightly happened.

00:38:03.220 This city is a breeding ground for radical left-wing domestic terrorism, and it is occurring on a regular basis and a more frequent basis.

00:38:12.420 And the government is not stepping in to intervene, and it would look like by the way that they're treating the people who are committing acts of violence, breaking the law, stopping traffic.

00:38:22.480 By the way, I might add, I'll end with this.

00:38:24.480 All the businesses in the area, almost every single one, including Starbucks, shut down.

00:38:29.240 We're talking about lost income, everything.

00:38:30.820 Businesses are afraid to have the doors open, and all he does is just put up a couple police while the news crews are there.

00:38:36.760 Once the news leaves, the police are out.

00:38:38.740 The city's in havoc, and Ted Wheeler never condemns them, only condemns the right-wing, and they're not the ones destroying the city.

00:38:45.780 Elijah, thank you so much for going up there.
