00:00:11.580 We tell you what happened over the weekend in Canada with the trucking protest.
00:00:19.620 Really important, including the part about Canada burning books, but nothing to see there.
00:00:24.980 Nothing to see there.
00:00:25.540 Yeah, don't worry about it.

00:00:38.020 However, we do expect an audio book.
00:00:39.660 Is that this week, you think, Glenn?
00:00:40.980 Hopefully.
00:00:41.560 Yeah, maybe we have news on that tomorrow.
00:00:43.400 Okay, so don't miss that.
00:00:44.860 Here's the podcast.
00:00:45.300 You're listening to the best of the Glenn Beck program.
00:01:01.360 So there was something huge that happened in Canada.
00:01:05.840 You might have missed it.
00:01:07.540 The Canadian truckers have had enough of this COVID thing.
00:01:15.260 They're in a car or in a cab of their truck, and they're forcing vaccine mandates on them.
00:01:23.280 They've got to go through all kinds of things, including have a little vaccine passport that we heard on Friday's episode is a little bone chilling.
00:01:33.740 You get a little, you know, you get a little digital passport, COVID passport, and all you have to do is bring it someplace.
00:01:41.820 And then they scanned the little code and you're in or you're out.
00:01:45.180 Well, one of the truckers was telling us that he went to the border coming out of the U.S. into Canada, and he held out his app so they could scan the QR code.
00:01:55.080 And the guy, the Border Patrol agent said, oh, we don't need that.
00:01:59.140 We get notified whenever you get X number of feet away from the border.
00:02:05.920 We know exactly who you are and all of the information.
00:02:08.940 Well, that's good.
00:02:09.680 That's good.
00:02:10.920 So that doesn't sound too fascistic at all.
00:02:13.040 Well, Ezra Levant is here.
00:02:15.400 This is a very controversial weekend for some, and they have tried to twist this into these truckers being fascist.
00:02:23.440 And I don't even understand how you can make that unless you're just a country full of boobs.
00:02:28.920 And I know we are, but I thought Canada might be a little better than that.
00:02:33.420 Ezra, how did this play over the weekend?
00:02:36.140 It was amazing.
00:02:37.420 I had the pleasure of being down there.
00:02:39.080 It was about minus 22 degrees Celsius, which is as cold as it sounds.
00:02:43.620 Holy cow, did that normally that would just stop any public protest, but it was packed.
00:02:49.440 When I pulled into Ottawa, it was like I was at a city that won just the Stanley Cup playoffs or something.
00:02:56.760 It was jubilant.
00:02:58.100 It was festive.
00:02:59.040 There were people on the streets honking horns, waving flags, literally spontaneously singing the Canadian anthem.
00:03:05.100 So far from being negative fascists, these were democratic, patriotic, peace-loving, unity-focused Canadians.
00:03:12.780 I want to tell you something about the Canadian trucking industry.
00:03:15.340 For whatever reason, there's a huge number of Sikh Canadians who are truck drivers.
00:03:21.820 You know, Sikhism, the religion from India.
00:03:24.020 So it's visible minorities.
00:03:26.640 It's new Canadians.
00:03:27.760 To call those people racist, it's just bizarre and laughable.
00:03:32.360 And there's a lot of indigenous, like Métis and Indian truck drivers, too.
00:03:37.560 So it's a very racially diverse industry.
00:03:39.580 So when Trudeau trots out as normal, you're racist, you're sexist, it just it didn't really work as well.
00:03:46.300 And here's one more thing about it, Glenn.
00:03:48.160 There were, I'm going to say, between 50,000 and 100,000 people actually in the convoy.
00:03:53.060 And by convoy, there was a bunch of convoys threading their way towards Ottawa from different parts of Canada.
00:03:58.900 It wasn't just one long train.
00:04:01.540 And along the road, I'm going to estimate, you had a million people, perhaps, waving and greeting from overpasses.
00:04:08.960 It was so many that traffic authorities turned off the traffic cams.
00:04:13.100 You know, you can often see what a road is like by going online in the traffic cam.
00:04:16.960 They turned those all off.
00:04:18.300 Well, why is that?
00:04:19.700 And then in the Ottawa area, they shut down bridges and roads, claiming it was for safety reasons.
00:04:24.440 And now they made it illegal for you to do that, right?
00:04:27.320 You couldn't go on an overpass and stand there and wave.
00:04:32.100 Yeah, which is so obviously unconstitutional.
00:04:35.020 But more importantly, obviously has nothing to do with public health.
00:04:39.040 This is just Venezuela-style tactics now.
00:04:42.880 When I was in Ottawa yesterday, I was there for about 48 hours, back in Toronto now.
00:04:48.260 When I was leaving, I saw more and more police.
00:04:50.660 And I recognized their uniforms.
00:04:52.560 They're not just Ottawa police.
00:04:54.140 There were at least four police forces from Toronto, from Dundas region, from Durham region, excuse me, Mounties.
00:05:03.360 And I walked up to three of the groups.
00:05:05.320 I said, where are you from?
00:05:06.220 Why are you here?
00:05:06.980 Who sent you here?
00:05:07.820 What was your purpose?
00:05:09.160 And they actually spoke with me, which surprised me.
00:05:12.160 And they said, we're here for backup.
00:05:15.780 I'm here backup for what?
00:05:17.600 What are they planning?
00:05:18.660 And they were standing dressed in black from head to toe.
00:05:23.740 They weren't in some staging area.
00:05:25.700 They weren't like waiting somewhere.
00:05:27.320 They were on the streets for intimidation.
00:05:29.180 There were snipers on the...
00:05:30.420 We also have video footage of snipers on the rooftops.
00:05:33.400 What's that about?
00:05:34.600 Well, they did that to me when we were in the mall in Washington.
00:05:38.920 They had snipers up on the roof.
00:05:41.180 And they said it was going to be violence and everything else.
00:05:44.100 And, of course, there wasn't.
00:05:45.700 It is...
00:05:46.860 It is...
00:05:47.860 It's sad to see this.
00:05:49.260 But really, I think, giving a lot of Americans, and I think people around the world, a lot of hope.
00:05:54.760 I mean, how many people actually were there?
00:05:58.160 Well, it's tough to say.
00:05:59.620 And, Glenn, I don't think we're ever going to actually know.
00:06:02.740 Because the people who would know, as I pointed out, they're shutting off the cameras.
00:06:07.040 They're blocking the roads and highways and bridges.
00:06:09.360 So, they're trying to reduce the number and reduce the perception of the number.
00:06:14.100 So, I don't know if this is the kind of thing where you're able to actually trust the authorities.
00:06:18.000 And I don't want to seem paranoid.
00:06:18.960 But if they are literally banning you from being on the side of the road, they don't want you to be part of this large movement.
00:06:26.380 So...
00:06:26.460 You know, in Orwell...
00:06:27.440 Go ahead.
00:06:28.020 No, no, no.
00:06:28.500 Go ahead.
00:06:28.820 I was going to say, in Orwell's book, 1984, there's a phrase, if there's any hope, it lies with the proles.
00:06:35.300 That was his way of saying the working class, the proletariat.
00:06:37.880 And that's what I loved about this, is it was the truckers.
00:06:41.240 It wasn't the official opposition.
00:06:43.360 It wasn't some public intellectuals.
00:06:45.780 It wasn't, you know, some college of physicians and surgeons.
00:06:48.880 It wasn't some celebrity.
00:06:50.580 It was the least celebrity people in the world, truckers.
00:06:53.560 And the idea that they have to be vaccinated to do their job is absurd.
00:06:56.400 I mean, there's no more isolated job than a long-haul trucker, other than maybe a lighthouse keeper.
00:07:01.080 So this was pure punishment.
00:07:02.340 These are the folks who kept us fed for two years, who gave us our food and our medicine and our PPE and all that stuff.
00:07:08.960 Well, they've already turned against the nurses, and now they're doing the truckers.
00:07:12.120 I mean, you know, they'll literally bite the hand that fed you.
00:07:15.720 So Trudeau came out, called these guys fascists, racists, and now hasn't he yesterday said, kind of, I'm doubling down and making these people pay?
00:07:31.360 Oh, yeah.
00:07:32.000 I mean, his transportation minister went on TV saying they're looking at making vaccine passports a requirement to go from province to province within our country.
00:07:39.940 So that's Trudeau's way.
00:07:42.340 I mean, remember, Trudeau's father, Pierre Trudeau, was close friends with Fidel Castro.
00:07:48.540 And Trudeau Jr. is a super fan of the Castros and has been in Cuba.
00:07:53.500 And remember, Trudeau, when he was running for office, said the country he most admires is communist China.
00:07:59.000 And he specified why.
00:08:00.680 He said, quote, because of its basic dictatorship.
00:08:04.180 He literally said those words.
00:08:06.320 So he's very third-worldish about this.
00:08:08.740 He's very Hugo Chavez about this.
00:08:10.520 Shut down the roads.
00:08:11.740 Have the police block the truckers.
00:08:13.540 And then when they were all converging on Ottawa, he did the third-world dictator move, and he fled.
00:08:18.200 He fled.
00:08:19.520 Who knows where?
00:08:20.560 I mean, very, very Castro-ish in his approach.
00:08:23.680 He didn't come down.
00:08:24.620 Like Donald Trump, if it was a peaceful protest, he might have come down to engage them.
00:08:31.000 He wouldn't run away, bravely run away.
00:08:33.460 I think Trudeau is going to be vengeful because this is the first challenge to him that is truly organic and truly authentic, and he can't buy it off.
00:08:43.500 So how are people in Canada going to react to that?
00:08:47.320 Well, there's a great war on right now of two clashing narratives because, like I say, a million people have firsthand observations about the movement.
00:08:57.860 So they know what they saw, and they will probably believe their own eyes.
00:09:02.720 But then you have the manufactured narrative, the government-run media, Trudeau's state broadcaster, that are saying, oh, there was a Nazi swastika flag.
00:09:12.600 And there was a picture of a swastika flag, nowhere near the actual protests.
00:09:18.760 And strangely enough, the people circulating the photo never bothered to say, well, who is this person?
00:09:24.220 And I think it's quite likely that it was like a Ray Epps moment where someone said, well, look, we need to have some Reichstag fire.
00:09:31.420 We need some excuse to vindicate our claims that this is the most peaceful people you ever met.
00:09:38.220 It was like a free love kind of people going truck to truck, giving hot coffee, giving food like it was.
00:09:44.600 There were protesters going around picking up garbage.
00:09:47.940 It is, for the most part, the same kind of people that are down here that listen to us.
00:09:54.740 They are good, decent, honorable people that have really kind of had enough.
00:10:00.620 And that's not going to change them.
00:10:02.580 They're just not going to take it anymore.
00:10:04.300 They're not going to sit here and just be bumps on the log.
00:10:07.420 They want their voices to be heard.
00:10:10.520 There is this Nazi flag.
00:10:14.100 There was also a, I think, a Confederate flag, which must make no sense in Canada.
00:10:19.200 But and there is video of the legitimate protesters going up to that guy going, why are you even here?
00:10:26.840 Nobody was in a mask.
00:10:27.840 He was in a mask.
00:10:28.980 Why are you even here?
00:10:30.800 Just go.
00:10:31.500 This is not your rally.
00:10:33.400 And he did leave.
00:10:35.500 Yeah.
00:10:35.740 Well, and that's the thing.
00:10:37.100 I mean, I don't want to get into U.S.
00:10:38.820 Civil War politics.
00:10:39.880 It's not my area of expertise.
00:10:41.780 It has nothing to do with Canada.
00:10:42.960 We just simply aren't.
00:10:44.180 That's not part of our story one way or the other.
00:10:46.580 That is a media symbol.
00:10:49.340 And and I think that you saw two agents provocateurs.
00:10:53.060 And I think one of the reasons for that is it's such a powerful grassroots moment.
00:10:56.500 It's like the yellow vests a few years ago that came out of France and electrified the world again.
00:11:01.220 It was uncontrolled by authorities.
00:11:02.820 It was grassroots.
00:11:04.080 It was a blue collar.
00:11:05.800 Same thing with the truckers.
00:11:06.860 I see now there's a trucker convoy in Australia.
00:11:09.340 I see there's truckers in the Netherlands.
00:11:11.720 So this trucker idea is catching on.
00:11:14.580 This has to be killed in the cradle before it's spread.
00:11:17.100 Let me give you one more measurement.
00:11:18.500 This trucking convoy had a GoFundMe page.
00:11:22.080 Last I checked, they had raised like eight million bucks.
00:11:24.480 And all these government types were trying to get it canceled and deplatformed.
00:11:28.620 I don't think they succeeded in the end.
00:11:30.560 But just for one second, realize what eight million dollars is.
00:11:34.420 Canada is one tenth the size of America in terms of population.
00:11:38.000 So that would be like 80 million dollars in crowdfunding, probably the largest crowdfunding
00:11:44.220 in Canadian history.
00:11:45.320 Like imagine if you had 80 million bucks.
00:11:47.480 So even if they didn't get the money, Glenn, that shows you how deep and wide the support
00:11:52.340 is.
00:11:52.660 That's what they're afraid of.
00:11:54.100 Because for the last two years, you've had a total system failure in Canada.
00:11:58.000 The official opposition has not opposed.
00:12:00.220 The judges have not been a check and balance.
00:12:02.200 Not a single court case has gone against the lockdowns.
00:12:04.780 The media party, completely complicit.
00:12:07.820 The colleges of physicians and surgeons have suspended doctors who give out exemptions.
00:12:12.360 The chambers of commerce have bent the knee.
00:12:14.860 There has been no institution.
00:12:17.060 Every single, at least you've got Ron DeSantis and the governor of Texas and the governor of
00:12:21.760 South Dakota.
00:12:22.420 You've got some opposition.
00:12:24.060 You would have a few Democrats who are saying this has gone too far.
00:12:26.400 But in Canada, every single government and every single opposition are lockdownists.
00:12:32.000 So you've had a total system failure.
00:12:33.720 And what you're seeing in this trucking convoy is a grassroots movement saying, well, we're
00:12:38.580 not represented by anyone else.
00:12:40.080 Here's someone doing something tangible and concrete.
00:12:43.320 So let me ask you one last question, because I've got to run.
00:12:47.100 I've got a network break.
00:12:48.120 But are you seeing non-conservatives involved in this?
00:12:54.420 Huge.
00:12:55.020 Huge.
00:12:55.980 You know what?
00:12:56.640 So many young women, I think they're worried about vaccine side effects.
00:13:01.220 It's so many people who said, well, hey, I used to be against big pharma.
00:13:04.880 Where is my left wing party supporting them?
00:13:07.000 Hey, I used to be my body, my choice.
00:13:09.400 Why are all the socialists in favor of government?
00:13:11.620 I used to be for privacy.
00:13:13.300 I like all these folks who used to be represented on the left.
00:13:16.700 They're sort of the RFK junior model of liberalism.
00:13:19.960 And they're saying, where is the left?
00:13:21.380 The left has abandoned me.
00:13:22.520 You know what?
00:13:22.920 I'd say a third of our viewers are rebel news these days.
00:13:25.960 Two years ago, they'd call themselves liberals and Trudeau voters.
00:13:31.020 Wow.
00:13:32.480 That's remarkable.
00:13:34.460 Totally new coalition.
00:13:35.860 Totally new coalition.
00:13:37.000 It's against the bully state.
00:13:39.260 Yeah, it's I think it's happening here as well.
00:13:41.920 It's happening all over the country.
00:13:43.180 We're finding ourselves with strange bedfellows, but really not so strange once we get to know
00:13:48.120 each other because those people have always believed in the Bill of Rights, and we have
00:13:52.240 always believed in the Bill of Rights.
00:13:53.740 Yes.
00:13:54.940 Ezra, thank you so much.
00:13:56.220 Appreciate it.
00:13:57.280 Ezra Levant, he is the man at Rebel News, and Rebel News is the man, if you will, for news
00:14:07.620 up in Canada, and they've come under tremendous amounts of pressure, and they remain standing.
00:14:13.040 They are the blaze of Canada, if you will.
00:14:16.160 We have a lot in common with them.
00:14:18.120 This is the best of the Glenn Beck Program.
00:14:25.800 This is the Glenn Beck Program.
00:14:27.860 I want to talk to you about our changing culture and the fascistic side of our culture.
00:14:38.360 First of all, when Donald Trump said, you know, maybe somebody should monitor or government
00:14:43.400 should look at all the license of these media companies, everybody screamed, including me
00:14:50.700 from high heaven.
00:14:51.480 We don't do that.
00:14:52.840 We don't do that.
00:14:53.740 That's bad.
00:14:54.540 But the media cared, and they called him a fascist.
00:15:01.220 Well, if he would have done anything like that, I guess you could say that's fascistic.
00:15:05.740 The problem here is the left does not have a problem with fascism, as long as it's them that are in charge.
00:15:16.720 They are getting so bold and so out of step with the American people, it's a little frightening.
00:15:25.920 What do they know that we don't know?
00:15:28.600 Well, I think one of the things that they think about us, they learned from our COVID response,
00:15:36.260 they can get a lot of people to do exactly what they want and unreasonable things.
00:15:42.020 Truly, we are now in the category of unreasonable.
00:15:46.200 What is the fight over Spotify really about?
00:15:55.500 It is about Joe Rogan, and it is about misinformation.
00:16:03.000 But really, the fight is about, can somebody even as powerful now as Joe Rogan,
00:16:10.400 somebody who a company is paying $100 million over five years to,
00:16:16.200 and somebody who has 10 times the audience of Fox and CNN,
00:16:26.120 10 times the audience, probably about eight times the audience of any show on the networks,
00:16:33.600 can he be allowed to speak?
00:16:40.560 The answer is no.
00:16:42.980 And now the federal government got involved over the weekend with the Surgeon General,
00:16:48.900 and the Surgeon General said, you know, these places like Spotify, they just haven't done enough.
00:16:54.360 When governments control corporations, what they can and cannot do without owning them,
00:17:09.280 that's fascism.
00:17:12.760 When the government can tell you what you can and cannot say, that's fascism.
00:17:21.680 Unfortunately, we have a very, we've done a poor job in teaching people what fascism is.
00:17:31.060 So everything is a fascist.
00:17:32.680 It's not.
00:17:33.500 But there are very clear signs of fascism, that if you do these things,
00:17:43.420 you are indeed no judgment.
00:17:47.420 I mean, yes, judgment, because we know what fascism is.
00:17:49.900 But in the old days, no judgment.
00:17:52.220 Yeah, I'm a fascist.
00:17:54.260 Benito Mussolini, they loved it.
00:17:56.140 The left loved him.
00:17:57.180 They still love him.
00:17:59.580 People sometimes even love, you know, who lived under Mussolini because the trains ran on time.
00:18:07.160 He fixed things.
00:18:09.120 And a lot of people are willing to live like that.
00:18:11.540 Well, in America, we have always thought that that was wrong.
00:18:15.780 But that's where we are now.
00:18:18.200 We used to see things as clearly wrong.
00:18:21.480 But now there's a new spin on things.
00:18:24.900 Remember, they didn't come in jackbooted, you know, these jackbooted thugs didn't come in the black uniforms.
00:18:31.060 And everybody go, oh, my gosh, look at those uniforms.
00:18:34.120 They're so clearly evil.
00:18:36.340 Star Wars, stormtroopers.
00:18:40.160 Those were modeled after the stormtroopers of Nazi Germany.
00:18:45.600 That's why it's black and red and all of that stuff.
00:18:48.340 But back in the 1930s, Hugo Boss was the one that designed those uniforms.
00:18:54.980 Hugo Boss.
00:18:57.040 They weren't designed to look scary.
00:18:59.000 They were designed to look sharp.
00:19:02.340 Evil always morphs and tries to trick you.
00:19:07.840 And many of our people, I mean, let me give you a let me give you this.
00:19:11.520 Would you clearly would you know a fascist if they said, let's go into the library and burn all the books?
00:19:20.160 I mean, that is the easiest definition of fascism, is it not?
00:19:23.860 I feel like they usually do it outside the library.
00:19:25.920 But that's about the only difference in a big pile.
00:19:28.640 OK.
00:19:29.040 In front of a government building, typically.
00:19:30.520 Did you know that two years ago, two years ago, Canada really was operating with a crystal ball, if any of us would have seen, of what's coming our way.
00:19:43.800 Two years ago in Ontario, over 4,700 children's books were removed from school libraries, more than 30 school libraries.
00:19:53.740 That's bad enough.
00:19:56.660 But then the school board decided to burn them in a, quote, flame purification ceremony.
00:20:07.520 This is what they said.
00:20:09.660 We bury the ashes of racism, discrimination and stereotypes in the hopes that we will grow up in an inclusive country where all can live in prosperity and security.
00:20:20.040 So, on one end, they are literally, in Canada, burning books in a ceremony.
00:20:32.000 Here in America, we don't have the flame purification, but we have diversity auditors.
00:20:41.200 And it's happening in libraries all over the country.
00:20:45.160 Libraries in America have been auditing their collections for diversity and inclusion.
00:20:51.460 And one of the audits in 2018 from Loyola concluded that its collection was totally deficient in LGBTQ plus topics.
00:21:01.240 That's fine.
00:21:01.820 You want to add things?
00:21:03.220 That's fine.
00:21:05.860 Bard College, liberal arts college in upstate New York.
00:21:09.280 Its Office of Inclusive Excellence, that's what it's called, has hired three students to comb through 400,000 books in their college library, evaluating each book for its representation of race, ethnicity, gender and religion.
00:21:25.840 They call this the first step in, quote, the process of decanonizing the stacks.
00:21:32.480 America, you don't have to have a PhD, you don't have to be a deep thinker to realize this is not good.
00:21:46.620 Now, America is fighting back on this culture war.
00:21:50.740 You're fighting back, and it is making a difference.
00:21:54.260 Even though in Virginia, you got to feel beat up by Loudoun County, they're still fighting you.
00:21:59.940 They're still fighting you.
00:22:01.300 Don't give up.
00:22:07.800 It's happening everywhere.
00:22:11.500 Diversity auditing is another dangerous front in the culture war.
00:22:16.000 Maybe it's time that you contact your alma mater if you went to college.
00:22:20.340 Let them know you're taking your donation elsewhere if they're doing any of this stuff.
00:22:26.420 Money doesn't talk.
00:22:28.660 It screams.
00:22:31.300 That's why they're going after Joe Rogan.
00:22:35.720 If you can get a company to walk away from a $100 million investment or screw with their $100 million investment,
00:22:45.640 that screams to everyone else, you better play ball, because we just had them screw up a $100 million investment.
00:22:58.240 This is really, truly what ESG scores are about.
00:23:11.320 ESG scores cannot just become about oil and gas, because that's just the E.
00:23:18.400 S is social justice.
00:23:21.020 G is governance.
00:23:23.360 That is our entire life.
00:23:27.780 And in China, Chinese government has its own moral standards.
00:23:34.820 And they are silencing dangerous people.
00:23:38.700 Do you know what that means?
00:23:41.200 Do you know that you're not allowed to leave your house in China without your phone?
00:23:45.640 If you leave your house without your phone, they should tell you everything about your phone.
00:23:52.140 Do you leave your phone open where you're talking as a couple, where you leave it next to your bed stand?
00:23:59.400 Where is that listening device?
00:24:02.340 Where is that?
00:24:04.280 In China, if you leave without your phone, facial recognition on the streets finds you and the cops stop you and say, go back and get your phone.
00:24:15.620 When you're approaching somebody, have you ever heard the the what is it?
00:24:22.540 The kidnapping alert, the amber alert.
00:24:25.180 Ever heard the amber alert on your phone?
00:24:27.220 And that's what happens to your phone when you approach someone who has a low social score.
00:24:38.280 This is this is everything the left has dreamt of.
00:24:43.320 And so much more from Saul Alinsky.
00:24:46.660 You isolate people.
00:24:51.760 We are headed in that direction.
00:24:53.960 And this is not some futuristic talk.
00:24:57.520 The technology exists today.
00:25:03.920 All it requires is for a people to go into a panic for some reason or another, like we did for covid.
00:25:11.880 Once you go into that panic, you lose all reason and faith.
00:25:18.940 And as they themselves say, never let a good crisis go to waste.
00:25:25.080 Because in a big good crisis, we can change everything and people will accept it.
00:25:32.000 What's happening with Joe Rogan is not about covid.
00:25:35.180 It is about the next emergency.
00:25:37.880 I believe the next emergency is going to be about the great reset and the economy.
00:25:44.700 And they will come after voices and shut us down immediately.
00:25:51.760 It is so critical that you do your own homework, that you strengthen your courage muscle.
00:26:01.600 And you ask yourself, can I even sing the national anthem?
00:26:07.080 Am I part of the home of the free, the brave?
00:26:17.440 Are we brave?
00:26:20.040 Are you brave?
00:26:21.500 What does that even mean?
00:26:23.640 Doesn't mean it with a gun on a battlefield.
00:26:27.140 It starts at home.
00:26:29.660 It starts in your community.
00:26:31.540 It starts with you being curious and not listening to all the so-called elites, because the elites are taking us someplace you don't want to go.
00:26:46.600 If you did, they'd be open about all of it.
00:26:51.000 And they'd be saying, yeah, the great reset is absolutely real.
00:26:54.360 And here's what it is.
00:26:56.100 And come join us in our meetings.
00:26:58.820 Watch everything.
00:26:59.700 Listen to everything.
00:27:00.620 I'll answer any question, because it's great.
00:27:03.160 That's not what they're doing.
00:27:05.060 Why?
00:27:06.040 Because they know you won't want to go there.
00:27:09.520 If you haven't gotten the Kindle book yet, it is the only way to get it right now.
00:27:13.600 I know it is online.
00:27:15.080 The audio book, hopefully I'll have news on that tomorrow.
00:27:18.300 It could be maybe tomorrow that it is available.
00:27:21.380 But please read The Great Reset.
00:27:23.840 You can find it at glensnewbook.com.
00:27:27.500 And don't miss an episode of this show.
00:27:31.460 It is really important.
00:27:32.840 We're going to be talking about things that nobody else is talking about that will become more and more important in your life in the future.
00:27:39.560 And I am not sure that it will be prudent, wise, or even possible to tell you these things in the future.
00:27:53.000 I want to talk to you a little bit about what's happening with Joe Rogan.
00:28:16.740 Let's start at the First Amendment.
00:28:19.460 What is the First Amendment?
00:28:22.080 Can you name the five freedoms that are guaranteed just in the First Amendment?
00:28:29.540 Here's the first one.
00:28:30.840 Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion.
00:28:34.980 What does that even mean?
00:28:37.200 The establishment of religion.
00:28:39.000 It doesn't say that you have a right to be free from a religion.
00:28:43.460 Remember, the Bill of Rights are your rights.
00:28:47.860 And it's telling the government what they cannot do.
00:28:51.020 Not what you can't do, but what government cannot do.
00:28:55.800 So the first one is, part one out of five, is it shall make no law.
00:29:03.460 No law respecting an establishment of religion.
00:29:08.060 So they can't force you to do one religion or another.
00:29:12.020 Now, may I suggest that wokeism is a religion.
00:29:19.420 I don't know about you, but I'm wide awake and proudly not woke.
00:29:25.300 And I am not woke because I'm wide awake.
00:29:28.700 You cannot force people in a religion, a set of beliefs, and then say you can't participate in government things.
00:29:43.340 Can't do it.
00:29:45.180 Part two, you cannot prohibit the free exercise of religion.
00:29:50.980 So I can't tell those wokest or those Satanists, you can't do that.
00:29:59.920 I cannot abridge freedom of speech.
00:30:04.020 If I'm the government, I cannot abridge freedom of speech.
00:30:07.960 What is an abridgment, Stu?
00:30:10.360 What does that mean?
00:30:11.640 Because it doesn't mean, I mean, it's so clear here that they didn't think that anyone would stop all speech.
00:30:19.540 They all knew.
00:30:21.840 What does abridging mean?
00:30:24.980 The curtailment of rights in law.
00:30:29.380 And, of course, the very helpful definition of the action of abridging a text.
00:30:36.240 Yeah.
00:30:36.860 Abridging a text.
00:30:37.780 If you're abridging a text, it means you're condensing.
00:30:40.760 Yeah.
00:30:41.120 You're summarizing or you're cutting things out.
00:30:44.140 Audiobooks all the time.
00:30:45.100 This is the unabridged version.
00:30:46.380 So abridging means you're cutting some things out that you don't think.
00:30:51.340 That's where the dot, dot, dot comes in.
00:30:53.300 Okay.
00:30:54.480 The government can only not stop you from speaking, cannot curtail those rights.
00:31:00.960 They can't say abridge.
00:31:03.940 So, in other words, Joe Rogan can be on, but not those things.
00:31:09.500 Can't do it.
00:31:10.180 Can't, you cannot abridge the freedom of the press, nor the right of the people to peacefully assemble.
00:31:22.440 So, they're not, are they?
00:31:24.000 They're just making it scary for you to assemble.
00:31:27.140 And they can't stop you from petitioning the government for a redress of grievances.
00:31:33.340 So, you know what?
00:31:34.920 You guys suck right now in Washington.
00:31:37.660 And I'd like some answers.
00:31:40.260 They're supposed to provide them.
00:31:41.820 They're not supposed to stop us.
00:31:43.300 But are they providing?
00:31:44.880 Are they living up to any of these?
00:31:47.420 They are currently members of the religion of wokeness.
00:31:53.040 And they are passing laws right now and helping establish this religion that puts them and the government as God.
00:32:03.760 They will decide.
00:32:06.020 They will issue rights.
00:32:07.560 And when it comes to Joe Rogan and Freedom of Speech and Spotify, you can say that the, you can say that all of these social media platforms are doing it on their own, but you know they're not.
00:32:24.940 You know they're not.
00:32:26.200 And we know for sure because the Surgeon General came out this week, or last week, and said, you know, these media companies are not doing enough.
00:32:36.380 And this is really harming things.
00:32:38.120 This is harming people's health.
00:32:40.220 We've got to, people like Spotify and Joe Rogan, they've got to address that.
00:32:45.860 So, now you're getting pressure from the government.
00:32:48.940 They can handle Neil Young.
00:32:50.480 But now you're getting pressure from the government.
00:32:52.840 When the government starts to pressure you, you have a big choice to make.
00:33:00.300 And is it worth losing their business, being regulated out of business, just being on the receiving end of, well, if you're in bed with the big banks, you know, I can't continue your revolving loan because you're exhibiting risky behavior.
00:33:20.060 I don't know what that's going to do.
00:33:21.440 You have Joe Rogan.
00:33:22.540 That could blow the whole thing up.
00:33:24.180 And we as a bank, we don't think that that's safe.
00:33:28.260 So, we can't give you that revolving loan now to be able to pay your payroll this month.
00:33:33.240 That's a huge deal.
00:33:36.940 And this is government abridging freedom of speech.
00:33:40.720 And I want you to know, I am consistent on this.
00:33:45.340 I don't want any of the ladies on The View to ever lose their job other than because people think they suck and they have no ratings.
00:33:55.180 That's fine.
00:33:56.820 But lose their job because the mob rises up?
00:34:01.060 No, that's not America.
00:34:02.500 We don't limit speech.
00:34:04.940 More speech, not less.
00:34:06.660 More questions.
00:34:08.720 You know, I really think it's important that people understand when Jesus said, come to me as a child.
00:34:13.600 What is the main trait of a child?
00:34:17.360 You could say innocence.
00:34:18.480 But always questioning, why?
00:34:24.100 Why is it like this?
00:34:25.820 Why does the sun come up in the morning?
00:34:28.440 Why is the sky blue?
00:34:30.120 All of those obnoxious questions, I think they're kind of obnoxious to remind us what kids are like because that's the way we're supposed to be.
00:34:40.140 And they're honest questions.
00:34:43.300 They're not setting you up for a trap.
00:34:45.360 Your kids are not like, why is the sky blue?
00:34:49.140 Aha!
00:34:51.380 You told me yesterday that the light spectrum, they don't do that.
00:34:58.580 They're not setting you up for stuff.
00:35:00.780 It's an honest question.
00:35:02.120 Why?
00:35:02.600 It's a simple honest question.
00:35:06.300 Honest questions.
00:35:07.880 Honest questions.
00:35:10.140 Are the most important.
00:35:13.340 I contend that's what Joe Rogan does.
00:35:16.220 He asks honest questions.
00:35:18.360 Now, if he wanted, literally wanted to have the other side on, he can choose to do that.
00:35:28.140 And I don't fault him for that.
00:35:31.280 There is a case to be made.
00:35:33.060 If I'm going to talk to this guy for three hours, I at least want to spend 10 minutes at the end going, what did this guy get wrong?
00:35:40.140 But that's not what Joe Rogan does.
00:35:44.800 Now, he's choosing to have somebody on that disagrees.
00:35:48.160 Okay, well, that changes your show.
00:35:51.020 And if that's from you and not the government or you not pressure, that's great.
00:35:55.240 And I give Joe Rogan the benefit of the doubt.
00:35:58.600 And I also give Joe Rogan a lot of slack because where does he go?
00:36:06.040 It's one thing to say, stand up, be a hero, but he is literally out unless he builds his own thing.
00:36:16.200 And believe me, that's not easier than it was 10 years ago, but not easy.
00:36:22.320 Because remember, he took himself off YouTube.
00:36:26.260 Do you think YouTube's going to put him back on?
00:36:28.380 Not a chance.
00:36:30.040 If Spotify leaves him, where's he going to go?
00:36:34.820 He's got to develop his audience right now.
00:36:38.680 He's got to drag it to where?
00:36:40.620 And believe me, big tech won't direct you there.
00:36:45.920 The question Joe Rogan has to be asking himself is, can I compromise without selling out?
00:36:57.320 Because if I don't compromise, they may get rid of me and I have no place to go except Joe Rogan.com.
00:37:05.640 But I will lose the millions of people that have been following because he went the opposite direction.
00:37:12.180 He went from the biggest stage, which is free everywhere, to behind a paywall, Spotify.
00:37:19.380 And there's a lot of people that listen to him there.
00:37:22.440 But he's not available now anyplace else.
00:37:28.800 Anybody who is in this business at all, podcasting, you put yourself everywhere.
00:37:36.920 Be ubiquitous as much as possible because you have to be able to shift when the sands are shifting.
00:37:47.320 And know that I think all of us are going to live in a world where we are balancing a few things.
00:37:55.240 I shall never say the things that I do not believe.
00:38:01.500 But there are many things that I believe that I will never say and many things that I believe that I will.
00:38:13.020 And the one thing I'm sure of, I will never, ever say the things that I don't believe.
00:38:21.520 If I don't believe it, I won't say it.
00:38:24.340 Now, how do you balance that every day with not to speak is to speak, not to stand is to stand.
00:38:33.740 Silence in the face of evil is evil itself, Dietrich Bonhoeffer.
00:38:37.880 Many things I believe I shall never say, but I shall never say the things that I do not believe.
00:38:42.200 How do you balance those?
00:38:44.700 Because that is the job of a broadcaster like Joe Rogan.
00:38:50.100 That is our job every day.
00:38:52.160 To be able to communicate with you is going to get harder and harder as we go along.
00:39:01.160 And those lines are going to become coming to you because once they get rid of the Joe Rogans or the voices they disagree with, you're next.
00:39:11.560 They have to teach you.
00:39:12.760 That's why they're going after Rogan, because Rogan is in the spotlight right now.
00:39:17.860 He is at the tip of the spear.
00:39:20.060 They go and wipe you out, do everything they can, because if they can wipe you out, it teaches all of the other fish that are in other ponds.
00:39:30.500 Don't screw with us.
00:39:31.800 So now, the petition, the right to petition the government for redress of grievances, and the right of the people to peacefully assemble.
