00:01:53.560 Here's the podcast.

00:01:54.180 You're listening to The Best of the Glenn Beck Program.

00:02:09.940 So, you know, you've got to love those people that just hate fascism so much that if a reporter goes in and gets the other side, you put them on a kill list.

00:02:22.020 Don't you?

00:02:22.820 Hmm.

00:02:23.700 Don't you?

00:02:24.300 I mean, I think it's great.

00:02:25.740 Nobody's even seen the interview yet.

00:02:27.540 They don't even know what the questions were to Putin.

00:02:31.260 It's not posted until, what, 5 o'clock tonight, I think?

00:02:33.900 Yeah, but wait, wait, wait, wait.

00:02:35.080 But does it matter, Pat?

00:02:37.320 Does it matter what the questions are?

00:02:39.720 No, it doesn't.

00:02:41.480 And does it matter to you?

00:02:42.680 I mean, he still has a right to go.

00:02:44.800 Oh, of course he does.

00:02:45.220 I mean, it matters to me personally.

00:02:46.520 I mean, I'm hopeful that he's going to ask some tough questions of Putin.

00:02:49.740 But should he be able to, as a journalist, go over there and interview him?

00:02:53.900 Yes, a million have done that.

00:02:56.120 Why is it okay for Mike Wallace and Barbara Walters and all the rest to have done it?

00:03:00.500 But now, all of a sudden, it's off limits to a Tucker Carlson.

00:03:04.200 It's unbelievable.

00:03:04.460 Members of the European Parliament are calling for sanctions against Tucker Carlson.

00:03:09.160 Man, I mean, that's real accomplishment there.

00:03:12.620 You know what I mean?

00:03:13.480 Yeah.

00:03:13.700 And the European Parliament's coming after you.

00:03:15.760 Carlson posted a video on X announcing that he was going to do the Moscow interview with Putin.

00:03:22.280 And the former prime minister of Belgium said the bloc should consider imposing a travel ban

00:03:27.600 for serving as a mouthpiece for Putin.

00:03:30.400 He doesn't know that.

00:03:32.320 They don't know that yet.

00:03:33.820 You haven't heard the interview.

00:03:35.860 And he's a journalist.

00:03:38.440 My gosh, where were you when everybody was hyping up Hitler?

00:03:43.920 So it drops tonight.

00:03:46.980 And here's how I'm going to watch it.

00:03:49.680 And I would like to get your opinion, Pat, on what to look for in this interview.

00:03:55.960 First of all, we know, Megyn Kelly has talked about, and you know this going in,

00:04:00.280 and Tucker's smart enough to know this.

00:04:01.520 Putin is very good at propaganda, and he's a KGB guy, okay?

00:04:08.820 So he knows how to manipulate people.

00:04:11.720 And he knows that there are people looking for an American dictator in America.

00:04:17.120 They're tired of, I told you, I told you this.

00:04:20.200 This is how communists take over.

00:04:22.860 They infiltrate the government, and then they activate the people that are on the streets,

00:04:29.580 grassroots, to cause all kinds of problems, until the people in the middle are like,

00:04:34.780 somebody has got to stop this, and that's when the top comes down.

00:04:39.440 So there are people that are looking for a dictator just to make all this stop.

00:04:43.260 I am not one of them.

00:04:46.040 I think this is the worst possible scenario.

00:04:50.800 But Dugan would be pushing.

00:04:53.340 Alexander Dugan, if you don't know who he is, listen to some of the old shows or just look him up.

00:04:57.440 He's a very dangerous guy, very, very dangerous.

00:05:01.480 He would be pushing Putin to talk about our immorality, transgenderism, our loss of faith.

00:05:09.400 Tucker has got to keep this on the rails.

00:05:12.280 This is not about America.

00:05:14.400 We could talk about that all day long, but I don't want to hear that from Vladimir Putin.

00:05:19.660 We're here to talk to you about the American involvement in this war in Ukraine,

00:05:24.800 not our internal policy, but Tucker will have lost control of the interview if he allows

00:05:34.580 Putin to go on about America's immorality more than once.

00:05:40.360 You can let him say that once, and then you've got to say,

00:05:43.640 Mr. Putin, this is not about America.

00:05:47.040 We have our own problems.

00:05:48.200 But I don't think it's appropriate to talk to you about our internal policy.

00:05:53.960 I'm here to talk to you about NATO, even the American war machine, if you want to call it that.

00:06:00.700 I want to hear why you're in Ukraine.

00:06:03.680 Are you willing to look for peace?

00:06:05.460 What would that look like?

00:06:07.240 So look for Putin to spin this whole thing into transgenderism 0.91

00:06:12.780 and what's happening in our schools, because that's that then is propaganda.

00:06:20.740 We know who Putin is.

00:06:22.460 We know how he stops drugs on the streets.

00:06:24.560 We know how he treats media members who speak out about him in a negative way.

00:06:28.500 They usually fall from their apartment window or they go up to a higher floor

00:06:32.340 and then jump from that or I'm sorry, fall out of that window.

00:06:36.240 Happens all the time.

00:06:37.380 He has to talk about a peace deal, even the drones that have come from Ukraine, from us, NATO, all of that.

00:06:47.680 Tucker also says, we've been lied to.

00:06:50.760 I want to know about what.

00:06:54.660 We know our problems.

00:06:56.980 Now let's hear solutions to the war and what the truth is on war.

00:07:05.140 That's what I'm looking for tonight from Tucker.

00:07:09.240 I hope that's what he does.

00:07:11.680 That if he if he keeps it on track like that, it'd be a great interview.

00:07:16.320 Be a great interview.

00:07:17.600 Because nobody nobody's ever heard from Putin.

00:07:20.960 Why the invasion took place in the first place?

00:07:23.820 Why?

00:07:24.400 Why did you invade at this time?

00:07:27.100 What are you talking about?

00:07:29.080 These the Nazis that are involved in Ukraine. 0.66

00:07:32.900 Explain that to me.

00:07:33.660 Who's a Nazi in Ukraine?

00:07:36.060 Are you saying Vladimir Zelensky is a Nazi?

00:07:39.440 No, there is.

00:07:40.780 You know, because we did this when Trump was being impeached.

00:07:44.680 And remember that huge chalkboard I did, Pat?

00:07:47.340 It had all of this in it.

00:07:49.080 There are Nazis.

00:07:50.960 And the Ukrainian government has been funding them on the border for security.

00:07:59.240 There are some really, really bad guys.

00:08:01.800 There's nobody that's good in this.

00:08:03.600 I mean, nobody.

00:08:05.000 Nobody that's a good guy in this.

00:08:07.680 Either side.

00:08:09.140 Zelensky or Putin.

00:08:11.420 I personally just they should work it out.

00:08:14.540 The reason why I think Putin did this is because we refuse to say, no, we've made a promise from the very beginning.

00:08:23.900 It wasn't written down, but we're people of honor.

00:08:27.760 We will not allow Ukraine into NATO to into NATO. 0.90

00:08:33.500 Yeah.

00:08:33.680 We won't let Ukraine be overrun by you, but we're also not going to let them into NATO. 1.00

00:08:39.180 That's all that Putin was asking for at first.

00:08:43.560 And that was violated.

00:08:45.300 I mean, that's that's just a fact.

00:08:47.060 That's just a fact.

00:08:48.540 And so they went back on that promise that we weren't going to allow them into or invite them into NATO.

00:08:54.560 And we did that.

00:08:55.960 So that was that was a problem of our making.

00:09:01.820 So there's a there's an article out by me, an op ed out by me on Blaze Media about being a fascist.

00:09:08.820 If you're on the side of freedom, you cannot be a fascist.

00:09:13.380 Let me explain this.

00:09:15.940 Fascist is the label of choice from the left to silence any and everybody. 1.00

00:09:21.140 You're a fascist. 1.00

00:09:21.780 You're a fascist. 0.99

00:09:22.360 And when you hear fascist, you think of concentration camps, as you should, because those are usually a product of fascism in the end, because you have to get rid of your political opponents because they are standing in the way of progress. 0.90

00:09:35.820 So unless you're in a free state, you can't have people who disagree with you.

00:09:41.940 That's really important.

00:09:43.560 What's happening with Tucker Carlson in the EU?

00:09:47.500 What's happening?

00:09:48.340 What do they want to do to Tucker Carlson?

00:09:49.980 You're in a free state.

00:09:51.300 You have a First Amendment right to be able to have unfettered access to press and the press can ask whatever it is they want.

00:10:02.320 The the first definition of freedom is being able to speak your mind.

00:10:08.060 So the first thing that you'll notice about fascism is it has to silence the voices that disagree.

00:10:15.820 OK, I will invite and have invited anybody and everybody on this program.

00:10:23.380 They're choosing not to.

00:10:25.660 That's fine.

00:10:26.640 That's up to them.

00:10:28.640 But don't try to silence me.

00:10:31.600 I'm not trying to silence you.

00:10:33.020 If there is fascism in the country, it is coming from the left and you should not throw the word fascist around.

00:10:43.500 It's never really fit in the United States up until recently.

00:10:47.400 Maybe in the last 15 years, we've started moving towards that.

00:10:52.120 First, we I thought we were moving towards communism, but we're not moving towards communism.

00:10:57.280 The difference between communism and fascism, communism is collective.

00:11:03.000 So it's we're all in this together and the individual doesn't matter.

00:11:08.060 We have to do what's right for the collective.

00:11:10.360 But communism takes that a step further and says, therefore, the state shall own and run everything and they'll tell you where you're going to work, what you're going to do, all of it.

00:11:26.040 Fascism is different.

00:11:28.180 Fascism allows the people to own their own property, own their own things with the illusion of running them.

00:11:36.100 OK, and so the state gets involved every step of the way.

00:11:40.780 And this is why fascism eventually falls apart, because you start to get into price controls and everything else.

00:11:47.540 And you start just telling these companies what they can and cannot make.

00:11:52.960 And the government can't central centralized power never works.

00:11:58.000 You can't have central command for, you know, some sort of capitalism, if you could even call that.

00:12:03.560 Now, the reason why I'm bringing this up is because yesterday, Janet Yellen was asked by Ayanna Pressley.

00:12:13.860 She asked Janet Yellen, Secretary of the Treasury, if racism posed a threat to the American financial system.

00:12:22.640 Well, yes, of course, said Secretary Yellen.

00:12:26.420 Financial institutions perpetuate and benefit from racism.

00:12:30.540 Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

00:12:32.720 Um, so Yellen said it could be and it is one of the factors that Dodd-Frank told us to take into account considering designations.

00:12:43.420 So what her point was, why Presley brought this up, was because is racism a problem that the Treasury is looking at?

00:12:52.600 The Treasury should not be looking at racism.

00:12:55.200 The Treasury should be looking at basic laws for finance.

00:12:59.180 So Presley said there's a drugstore in Walgreens and Walgreens in Roxbury, Massachusetts.

00:13:09.080 They they closed and they said it was because of crime.

00:13:13.520 But that's life threatening and it's based on racial discrimination and economic grounds.

00:13:20.400 OK, so what she's saying is Walgreens, even though they said they cannot open their doors because they're robbed every day and no one can have business.

00:13:37.880 Presley says the government should consider that racism and therefore tell Walmart or Walgreens exactly what to do.

00:13:48.560 I'm sorry, you're not closing down there.

00:13:51.840 You have to keep it open.

00:13:54.180 That's fascism, gang.

00:13:56.300 That is fascism.

00:13:58.200 One more story.

00:14:00.060 The feds now want to card you to use the Internet.

00:14:03.700 U.S. lawmakers' motivation for online ID and age verification and tech CEO support for these measures is a significant shift in privacy and your anonymity online.

00:14:18.560 What they're talking about now, what they're talking about now, and it was, you know, suggested first by Mark Zuckerberg, it would be great, wouldn't it?

00:14:27.380 That they you have to perform.

00:14:30.040 You have to have a digital ID that will allow you on the Internet.

00:14:34.460 So whenever you do that now, positively, absolutely everything is monitored on what you do.

00:14:42.240 You do have a right to privacy, you know, if everybody is tracking what you do, what you look at, AI can put together, well, for instance, if you're looking up a bunch of different drugs, AI can put together and go, oh, he's making crack cocaine or, oh, he's trying to find out where he can buy this to kill his wife and bury her in the backyard.

00:15:09.660 And you'd say, that's good.

00:15:12.080 But if you're in fascism and you have giant overlords that are watching over you on everything, you can't come up with a better mousetrap.

00:15:23.740 You can't have government watching your every move.

00:15:29.200 This is fascistic.

00:15:30.720 Again, the government in bed with big tech.

00:15:35.220 All right, back to the podcast in just a second.

00:15:37.440 Sadly, our economy has become dominated by businesses that cater to the woke mob.

00:15:42.940 I love people who say we're fascist.

00:15:44.760 If we're fascists, we want the government to co-opt the corporations.

00:15:50.880 Which side has done that?

00:15:53.280 There is one company that is fighting the fight on our side.

00:15:57.960 For the past 10 years, they have offered nationwide coverage with access to all three of the major networks,

00:16:03.560 equipping you with the same coverage you've always had, but without sending your money to leftist causes.

00:16:09.020 You like free speech, religious freedom, life, Second Amendment?

00:16:12.680 Then you should switch now to Patriot Mobile and send a loud message.

00:16:17.440 Do you hear us now?

00:16:19.280 Go to PatriotMobile.com slash Beck or call 972-PATRIOT.

00:16:22.880 972-PATRIOT.

00:16:24.500 PatriotMobile.com slash Beck.

00:16:26.240 Use the offer code Beck and you'll get free activation when you switch today.

00:16:30.460 PatriotMobile.com slash Beck.

00:16:32.700 Back to the podcast.

00:16:35.740 This is the best of the Glenn Beck program.

00:16:39.880 Mr. Pat Gray joins me again for the vacationing Stubergeer,

00:16:44.000 who seems to be on some sort of, I don't know, French schedule or something,

00:16:50.280 but glad to have you here, Pat.

00:16:52.220 Good to be here.

00:16:53.720 Yeah.

00:16:54.060 Very excited.

00:16:54.600 But, so, we're just, I was just talking Pat off the ledge during the break.

00:17:01.220 He was, I mean, I thought, I thought, you know, if Putin was behind him,

00:17:05.540 he could push him right out the window right now and Pat would be dead.

00:17:08.300 Because he was on the ledge.

00:17:09.880 I was.

00:17:10.200 And saying there's no hope.

00:17:12.860 Well, we were just watching Molly Hemingway speak about the things in her book,

00:17:20.100 Rigged, How the Media, Big Tech, and the Democrats seized our elections.

00:17:23.660 Right.

00:17:24.480 And here's what we were listening to for Blaze News at the top of the hour.

00:17:28.780 Listen.

00:17:28.940 Instead of having election administration that is rigorously nonpartisan and impartial under

00:17:34.960 the law, we have allowed the private takeover of government election offices by partisan oligarchs

00:17:42.000 and their armies of activists who use those offices and their authorities to tilt the election toward favored candidates.

00:17:49.680 Instead of voters being able to vote for the candidate of their choice, powerful interests backed by wealthy oligarchs are working to remove the most popular candidate

00:18:00.380 and the ruling party's chief opponent from the ballot in a move reminiscent of Soviet Russia.

00:18:07.320 And if that weren't enough, instead of the top candidates chosen by the people being able to fully engage in a vigorous campaign heading into an election,

00:18:16.180 we have one side actively attempting to throw its opponent in prison and bankrupt his family, again, reminiscent of Soviet Russia.

00:18:24.860 Yeah.

00:18:25.620 Hmm.

00:18:26.620 Mm-hmm.

00:18:27.060 So Pat wasn't feeling real optimistic after that.

00:18:29.840 No.

00:18:30.760 No, because what she said is true.

00:18:33.580 True.

00:18:34.020 That is happening.

00:18:35.260 Yeah, it is.

00:18:35.860 That is happening.

00:18:36.240 So, but here is the thing.

00:18:37.740 First of all, it hasn't happened.

00:18:39.780 If the election is close, you can throw it.

00:18:44.880 One way or the other, you could throw it.

00:18:46.720 If the election is, you know, five to ten points out, you can't throw that without being very, very obvious.

00:18:56.240 This is, what we're looking at is election.

00:18:59.440 We don't even know if this is going to be the election.

00:19:02.740 We don't know if Joe Biden is even going to be the candidate.

00:19:06.480 I think there's growing evidence that he's not.

00:19:08.780 And the oral arguments that are being heard right now in the Supreme Court, in fact, can we bring this up?

00:19:13.500 That's by altering the Constitution's qualifications for federal office.

00:19:18.480 This is live in the Supreme Court.

00:19:21.420 The Colorado Supreme Court's decision is no different from a state residency law that requires members of Congress to inhabit the state prior to election day,

00:19:29.700 when the Constitution requires only that members of Congress inhabit the state that they represent when elected.

00:19:35.700 In both situations, a state is accelerating the deadline to meet a constitutionally imposed qualification

00:19:44.040 and is thereby violating the holding of term limits.

00:19:48.300 And in this situation, a ruling from this court that affirms the decision below would not only violate term limits,

00:19:55.000 but take away the votes of potentially tens of millions of Americans.

00:19:58.120 Okay, so this is the president's attorney, President Trump, Clarence Thomas' voice.

00:20:08.000 ...with respect to whether or not Section 3 is self-executing.

00:20:12.180 So would you address that?

00:20:13.720 And in doing that, your argument is that it's not self-executing,

00:20:21.080 but then in that case, what would the role of the state be,

00:20:25.400 or is it entirely up to Congress to implement the disqualification in Section 3?

00:20:34.960 It is entirely up to Congress, Justice Thomas,

00:20:37.460 and our argument goes beyond actually saying that Section 3 is non-self-executing.

00:20:41.920 We need to say something more than that,

00:20:43.520 because a non-self-executing treaty or a non-self-executing constitutional provision

00:20:48.220 normally can still be enforced by a state if it chooses to enact legislation.

00:20:53.040 The holding of Griffin's case goes beyond even that

00:20:55.680 by saying that a state is not allowed to implement or enforce Section 3 of the 14th Amendment

00:21:01.380 unless and until Congress enacts implementing legislation allowing it to do so.

00:21:06.060 So under Griffin's case, which we believe is correctly decided,

00:21:09.020 the Anderson litigants disagree with us on that point,

00:21:11.100 but if this court were to adhere to the holding of Griffin's case,

00:21:14.240 there would not be any role for the states in enforcing Section 3

00:21:17.280 unless Congress were to enact a statute that gives them that authority.

00:21:21.220 Counsel, um...

00:21:22.420 Okay, so let me explain what they're talking about.

00:21:25.040 They're talking about, and by the way, I want to get back to Pat's hope.

00:21:28.180 First of all, there's hope here.

00:21:30.280 Second of all, more importantly,

00:21:32.540 I do know the one thing I know about God

00:21:36.360 is that there is no waste in his doings.

00:21:40.900 Okay?

00:21:41.300 There's nothing wasted.

00:21:42.920 I wasted most of my life,

00:21:45.220 but he took all the bad things that I did

00:21:48.340 and turned them around on me

00:21:50.540 to where it's actually helped me

00:21:54.220 now that I'm on the right track.

00:21:56.380 So there's no waste.

00:21:57.820 Every loss is another step closer

00:22:02.040 to his vision being executed.

00:22:04.580 And you have to remember that

00:22:06.020 because at the end, you'll look at this and go,

00:22:08.640 how did that happen?

00:22:11.080 How did that happen?

00:22:12.740 And the answer will be God.

00:22:14.360 Okay, now, Section 3.

00:22:15.960 This is the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.

00:22:19.280 No person shall be a senator, representative of Congress,

00:22:24.860 or elector of president and vice president,

00:22:27.600 or hold any office, civil or military,

00:22:30.900 under the United States or under any state

00:22:33.540 who has previously taken an oath

00:22:35.960 as a member to Congress

00:22:37.580 or as an officer in the United States

00:22:39.160 or as a member of any state legislature

00:22:41.280 or as an executive or judicial offer of any state

00:22:44.960 to support the Constitution of the United States

00:22:47.560 shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion

00:22:51.320 against the same

00:22:52.800 or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof.

00:22:56.600 But Congress may, by a vote of two-thirds of each house,

00:22:59.740 remove such a disability.

00:23:01.340 So the Constitution says

00:23:03.740 if you have given aid and comfort

00:23:06.500 or you've engaged in an insurrection,

00:23:08.780 and they're saying that Donald Trump

00:23:10.600 engaged in an insurrection.

00:23:12.000 However, nowhere, nowhere

00:23:15.740 in any law in the United States

00:23:18.600 are you guilty until proven innocent.

00:23:22.580 You can make the charge,

00:23:25.260 but that doesn't make it true.

00:23:26.880 And of all of the litigations,

00:23:29.740 everything that is being filed in court,

00:23:32.020 how many of them?

00:23:33.160 7,000 different court cases coming against him?

00:23:36.260 Not one is charging him with insurrection.

00:23:40.680 Not one.

00:23:41.340 Or rebellion.

00:23:43.120 Or giving aid and comfort.

00:23:45.060 Not one.

00:23:47.160 Why?

00:23:47.800 Because they know they can't win that.

00:23:50.300 So one of the arguments is

00:23:52.220 the state can't say this.

00:23:55.220 First of all, it has to be charged.

00:23:57.700 And then the Constitution says

00:23:59.840 that if that's who he is,

00:24:01.800 if that's what they did,

00:24:02.760 then he can't serve.

00:24:04.080 But Congress can vote

00:24:05.820 to remove that

00:24:07.760 should they care to.

00:24:09.320 This was all because of the Civil War.

00:24:12.720 This is an old-timey law

00:24:14.120 that has never applied

00:24:16.160 since the Civil War.

00:24:18.000 Just want you to know.

00:24:19.700 It was set up for the Confederacy.

00:24:22.600 Yes.

00:24:23.360 So they wouldn't retake power

00:24:24.900 in the United States.

00:24:26.980 Correct.

00:24:27.180 And they're trying to use it

00:24:28.460 against Donald Trump.

00:24:29.780 A guy who they just throw out

00:24:31.840 the word insurrection about,

00:24:33.900 and then that's supposed

00:24:35.200 to scare all the states

00:24:36.420 to take him off the ballot.

00:24:39.100 But it's not to scare the states.

00:24:41.000 That's not how it works, anyway.

00:24:41.680 This is all coordinated.

00:24:45.260 There's a billion dollars

00:24:47.360 at least behind all of this stuff,

00:24:49.840 and it's very well coordinated.

00:24:52.420 They're trying to cause chaos.

00:24:55.680 That's the first thing.

00:24:57.380 They're trying to challenge everything

00:24:59.220 to make it impossible

00:25:01.380 to be a supporter of Trump

00:25:03.860 or to be Donald Trump

00:25:05.400 or to ever want to be like Donald Trump

00:25:07.720 and stand against the machine.

00:25:09.360 They're trying to make it

00:25:10.780 absolutely impossible

00:25:12.040 and teach everyone,

00:25:13.660 we are going to tie you in court

00:25:15.120 until you're either in jail, 0.98

00:25:17.360 dead, or broke. 0.99

00:25:19.220 But we'll break you. 0.96

00:25:21.180 That's what the state

00:25:22.420 is trying to do right now.

00:25:24.060 And when I say the state,

00:25:25.240 I actually mean

00:25:26.760 the leftist organizations

00:25:29.080 and Molly had it right,

00:25:31.560 the oligarchs

00:25:33.240 that are part of this cabal

00:25:36.980 to change the way America works.

00:25:40.020 And this is going to have

00:25:40.900 far-reaching ramifications.

00:25:43.220 This is not good.

00:25:44.780 Not good.

00:25:46.560 That's why the Supreme Court

00:25:48.980 needs to rule correctly on this

00:25:50.760 for a change.

00:25:52.880 I mean, it's been tough.

00:25:55.660 Even with the so-called

00:25:56.640 conservative court,

00:25:58.360 some of the decisions it made

00:26:00.080 are far from conservative.

00:26:02.140 Right.

00:26:02.880 So they're arguing now

00:26:04.680 Trump should be removed

00:26:05.620 from the ballot

00:26:06.540 because of his alleged role

00:26:09.140 in recruiting, inciting,

00:26:11.460 and encouraging a violent mob.

00:26:14.260 Wow.

00:26:14.720 Wow.

00:26:15.680 Then they told the Supreme Court

00:26:17.320 in the brief,

00:26:18.400 the former president

00:26:19.520 fails to even acknowledge

00:26:21.200 the most damning evidence

00:26:23.420 against him.

00:26:24.980 Take me into a court of law.

00:26:27.000 Mm-hmm.

00:26:28.380 So Trump,

00:26:30.580 his counter is

00:26:31.900 officer of the United States.

00:26:33.420 He did not engage

00:26:35.380 in insurrection.

00:26:37.120 Only Congress can enforce

00:26:38.320 Section 3.

00:26:39.100 That's what he was saying

00:26:40.040 just making that case

00:26:41.560 a minute ago.

00:26:42.640 The amendment only prohibits

00:26:44.800 holding office

00:26:45.580 rather than appearing

00:26:46.620 on the ballot

00:26:47.640 and that

00:26:49.680 the ruling

00:26:50.900 violates

00:26:51.580 Colorado's election code.

00:26:53.760 So

00:26:53.940 it says he can't serve.

00:26:55.880 It doesn't say he can't run.

00:26:58.080 No prosecutor

00:26:59.360 has attempted

00:27:00.060 to charge

00:27:00.620 President Trump

00:27:01.300 with insurrection

00:27:02.000 under

00:27:02.580 the U.S. code

00:27:04.060 in the three years

00:27:05.640 since January 6,

00:27:06.940 2021.

00:27:07.380 They don't think

00:27:08.760 that this is going

00:27:09.960 to be the strongest case.

00:27:11.160 I think it is,

00:27:12.000 but I'm not an attorney.

00:27:14.920 But they think

00:27:16.180 that it will be

00:27:17.500 on

00:27:18.220 he

00:27:19.480 the Section 3,

00:27:21.480 the amendment

00:27:21.880 only prohibits

00:27:22.600 holding office

00:27:23.440 not running

00:27:25.340 and being on a ballot.

00:27:26.480 They think that

00:27:27.100 that's the one

00:27:27.760 that they're going to do

00:27:28.320 because they want to

00:27:28.760 make it very,

00:27:29.580 very narrow

00:27:30.140 so it doesn't affect

00:27:31.600 anything but this case.

00:27:34.200 Can we listen in

00:27:35.140 a little bit more?

00:27:35.760 I did away with it later,

00:27:36.500 but that has nothing

00:27:38.360 to say

00:27:39.380 with respect

00:27:40.260 to what Section 3 is.

00:27:40.920 This is Sotomayor.

00:27:41.940 Can we get to the issue

00:27:43.260 which is,

00:27:44.480 I think,

00:27:45.260 one that I go back to

00:27:47.700 that I started with

00:27:48.840 and very briefly,

00:27:52.160 what sense

00:27:53.260 does it say

00:27:54.360 that states

00:27:56.480 can't enforce

00:27:58.320 Section 3

00:27:59.580 against their own officials?

00:28:02.480 I mean,

00:28:02.740 I think

00:28:03.300 logically

00:28:04.580 those are two separate

00:28:05.800 issues in my mind.

00:28:07.740 Can states

00:28:08.360 enforce the insurrection

00:28:09.660 clause

00:28:10.200 against their own

00:28:11.320 office holders

00:28:12.400 or can they enforce

00:28:14.540 it against

00:28:15.200 federal officials

00:28:17.420 or can they enforce

00:28:19.900 it against

00:28:20.520 the president?

00:28:21.680 Those are all

00:28:22.420 three different questions

00:28:23.920 in my mind.

00:28:24.980 And the answer

00:28:26.600 to all three

00:28:27.180 of those questions

00:28:27.860 turns on whether

00:28:29.320 this court agrees

00:28:30.200 with the holding

00:28:30.760 of Griffin's case.

00:28:31.900 If Griffin's case

00:28:32.760 is the proper

00:28:33.900 enunciation of the law,

00:28:36.400 then a state cannot do

00:28:37.600 any of the things

00:28:38.300 your honor suggested

00:28:39.060 unless Congress

00:28:39.800 gives it authority

00:28:40.480 to do so.

00:28:41.160 So a non-precedential

00:28:42.580 decision

00:28:43.160 that relies

00:28:44.360 on policy

00:28:45.320 doesn't look

00:28:47.180 at the language,

00:28:48.280 doesn't look

00:28:48.800 at the history,

00:28:50.120 doesn't analyze

00:28:50.900 anything

00:28:51.520 than the disruption

00:28:53.480 that such a suit

00:28:55.160 would bring.

00:28:56.080 You want us

00:28:56.880 to credit

00:28:57.440 as presidential.

00:28:58.640 Because Congress

00:28:59.480 relied on Griffin's case

00:29:01.020 when it enacted

00:29:02.280 the Enforcement Act

00:29:03.700 of 1870

00:29:04.540 and established...

00:29:05.780 So Mr. Mitchell,

00:29:06.360 if I may interrupt,

00:29:07.400 but just to clarify,

00:29:08.980 I mean,

00:29:09.200 this sounds like

00:29:10.060 your reply brief

00:29:11.020 where it sounds

00:29:11.860 like you're not

00:29:12.520 making a constitutional

00:29:13.660 argument,

00:29:14.680 you're really making

00:29:15.480 a statutory

00:29:16.280 preemption argument.

00:29:18.040 And is that

00:29:18.540 what you're doing here?

00:29:20.180 You're not saying

00:29:21.080 that the Constitution

00:29:22.520 gives you this rule.

00:29:24.480 It's the kind

00:29:24.920 of combination

00:29:25.600 of Griffin's case

00:29:27.160 plus the way

00:29:28.180 Congress acted

00:29:29.680 after Griffin's case

00:29:31.120 that gives you the rule?

00:29:32.440 That's exactly right,

00:29:33.320 Justice Kagan,

00:29:33.920 because we have

00:29:34.740 implementing legislation.

00:29:35.900 Congress took up

00:29:36.540 the invitation

00:29:37.100 provided by Griffin's case.

00:29:38.380 and established

00:29:39.500 writs of co-warrant

00:29:40.360 in the 1870

00:29:41.580 Enforcement Act.

00:29:42.340 Later repealed them.

00:29:43.420 The only enforcement

00:29:44.220 legislation that's

00:29:45.000 currently on the books

00:29:45.980 is the insurrection

00:29:47.020 criminal statute,

00:29:47.980 Section 2383.

00:29:49.560 And when Congress

00:29:50.140 made all of these decisions,

00:29:51.140 the initial enactment

00:29:52.040 of the Enforcement Act

00:29:52.880 in 1870,

00:29:54.040 the repeal of the

00:29:54.840 co-warrant

00:29:55.280 provisions in 1948,

00:29:56.980 all of those were made

00:29:57.740 with Griffin's case

00:29:58.520 as the backdrop.

00:29:59.520 The understanding...

00:29:59.840 Please.

00:30:01.040 Well, the understanding

00:30:01.740 was that these

00:30:02.320 congressionally established

00:30:03.200 remedies would be

00:30:03.840 exclusive of state

00:30:05.080 court remedies.

00:30:05.700 So there's not an

00:30:06.300 express statement

00:30:07.020 of preemption

00:30:07.560 in these statutes,

00:30:08.540 but there didn't need

00:30:09.300 to be because

00:30:09.920 Griffin's case

00:30:10.360 provided the background.

00:30:11.020 And if I could just

00:30:11.720 understand the argument

00:30:12.620 a little bit better,

00:30:13.460 suppose that we took

00:30:14.720 all of that away.

00:30:16.740 You know, suppose

00:30:17.480 there were no

00:30:18.000 Griffin's case

00:30:18.660 and there were no

00:30:19.400 subsequent congressional

00:30:20.820 enactment.

00:30:21.580 What do you then

00:30:22.300 think the rule would be?

00:30:23.840 So in...

00:30:24.620 Just as a matter

00:30:25.120 of first principles

00:30:25.760 without Griffin's case,

00:30:26.600 it's a much harder

00:30:27.400 argument for us to make

00:30:28.420 because normally,

00:30:30.420 I mean, every other

00:30:31.060 provision of the 14th

00:30:31.980 Amendment

00:30:32.160 has been treated

00:30:32.780 as self-executing.

00:30:33.860 What we would argue

00:30:34.540 in that hypothetical

00:30:35.420 that your honor has

00:30:36.060 suggested is that

00:30:37.060 there are practical

00:30:37.860 considerations unique

00:30:39.080 to Section 3

00:30:39.980 that counsel in favor

00:30:41.580 of a rule similar

00:30:42.440 to what Chief Justice

00:30:43.700 Chase spelled out

00:30:44.460 in Griffin's case.

00:30:45.320 And it goes to,

00:30:46.160 I think, the policy

00:30:46.760 concerns he talks about

00:30:48.040 where this was a case,

00:30:49.560 Griffin's case involved.

00:30:50.300 So they really seem

00:30:51.480 to be pressing.

00:30:52.320 Now, again,

00:30:52.860 we've heard the two

00:30:53.700 liberal judges,

00:30:55.160 but they are pressing

00:30:56.720 the Trump lawyers

00:31:00.220 quite hard.

00:31:00.860 I don't think I need

00:31:10.120 to really do

00:31:10.640 a long introduction,

00:31:11.660 so I'm not going to.

00:31:12.780 Actress, former MMA fighter,

00:31:14.480 Gina Carano,

00:31:15.060 how are you?

00:31:16.540 I'm good.

00:31:17.560 Thank you so much

00:31:18.400 for having me.

00:31:19.520 You bet.

00:31:20.700 I have to tell you,

00:31:21.860 I am so glad

00:31:23.740 to see that you are

00:31:25.200 standing up

00:31:26.280 and fighting back

00:31:27.200 against Disney

00:31:28.060 and Lucasfilm

00:31:30.140 for what happened

00:31:31.100 to you.

00:31:32.020 Can you just describe

00:31:33.400 quickly

00:31:34.600 that whole scene?

00:31:38.660 Well, quickly.

00:31:40.460 I know, I'm sorry.

00:31:42.320 No, it's okay.

00:31:43.060 I actually,

00:31:44.500 it was really interesting

00:31:45.160 because for the longest time,

00:31:46.620 for the last couple years,

00:31:47.500 I was just,

00:31:48.140 you know,

00:31:49.580 just distraught,

00:31:50.600 you know,

00:31:50.780 trying to rebuild my life,

00:31:52.140 running into all sorts of,

00:31:53.360 you know,

00:31:54.660 problems of trying to,

00:31:56.360 you know,

00:31:56.680 recreate my career

00:31:57.560 and finally,

00:31:58.420 you know,

00:31:58.760 I was like,

00:31:59.960 you know,

00:32:00.420 I had to just like

00:32:01.340 give it to God

00:32:02.020 and say,

00:32:03.080 all right,

00:32:04.220 you know,

00:32:05.180 you've got me in life.

00:32:07.260 I'm going to keep going

00:32:08.260 and I have to let this go

00:32:09.700 and give it to you

00:32:11.260 and, you know,

00:32:12.200 whatever justice I get,

00:32:13.740 you know,

00:32:14.920 I know you're working

00:32:15.560 behind the scenes for me.

00:32:16.800 And then,

00:32:17.720 it was almost as soon

00:32:18.680 as I did that,

00:32:19.680 I got an email

00:32:21.320 from a lawyer

00:32:22.880 that was hired

00:32:24.560 by Elon Musk

00:32:26.200 and X

00:32:26.720 to inquire about my case.

00:32:29.760 And then I was just so excited

00:32:32.460 and I emailed him back

00:32:33.780 like immediately

00:32:34.540 and,

00:32:35.780 you know,

00:32:37.160 we started going through all of,

00:32:38.640 you know,

00:32:38.760 I just educated them

00:32:39.840 and I sent them everything

00:32:41.420 I have to date

00:32:42.360 and I have a lot more

00:32:43.120 to send them

00:32:43.700 and they are,

00:32:45.180 they're wonderful

00:32:45.960 and they are just excited

00:32:47.680 and they couldn't believe,

00:32:48.840 they were,

00:32:49.340 they were kind of like

00:32:50.700 dumbfounded

00:32:51.160 about how,

00:32:52.060 about how this happened.

00:32:53.480 So,

00:32:54.140 that's the quick version.

00:32:57.460 So,

00:32:58.240 you,

00:32:58.760 I mean,

00:32:58.960 you've worked with

00:32:59.900 everybody,

00:33:01.240 Michael Douglas,

00:33:02.500 Fassbender,

00:33:03.320 Jenny Tatum,

00:33:05.520 Bill Paxton,

00:33:06.600 Antonio Banderas,

00:33:07.900 Robert De Niro,

00:33:09.520 Ryan Reynolds.

00:33:12.300 Have you had any support

00:33:14.660 from these people

00:33:16.120 or are they afraid

00:33:16.940 to come out

00:33:17.740 or how would you describe

00:33:19.280 what you,

00:33:21.540 your friends circle?

00:33:22.920 I mean,

00:33:24.480 well,

00:33:24.820 that's not my friends.

00:33:26.180 They're not my friends.

00:33:27.360 Your co-workers.

00:33:29.020 They're incredible people

00:33:30.780 that I've worked with.

00:33:31.640 You know,

00:33:31.800 I've never had an issue

00:33:33.140 with anybody,

00:33:34.220 with anyone whatsoever,

00:33:36.060 you know,

00:33:37.320 as far as actors go

00:33:38.560 or crew goes

00:33:39.680 or for that matter,

00:33:40.540 I've not just,

00:33:41.080 I've just not had an issue

00:33:42.040 on set ever.

00:33:43.420 I get along with everybody.

00:33:45.380 But yes,

00:33:46.220 to answer your question,

00:33:47.240 there has been

00:33:47.780 many people

00:33:49.160 who I have worked with

00:33:50.680 and who I haven't worked with

00:33:52.200 that I've run into,

00:33:53.860 not only just

00:33:54.820 very well-known actors

00:33:56.560 but also

00:33:57.480 very well-known producers

00:33:59.560 and actually

00:34:00.260 people who are still

00:34:02.040 working in Disney

00:34:03.340 and Lucasfilm

00:34:04.120 actively,

00:34:05.820 you know,

00:34:06.660 have,

00:34:07.280 you know,

00:34:07.620 they all have shown

00:34:09.080 so much support

00:34:09.860 everything the time

00:34:10.540 I've seen

00:34:11.020 any of them

00:34:12.300 and to be very honest,

00:34:14.860 I've not had one person

00:34:16.000 from this industry

00:34:16.700 come up to me

00:34:17.540 and say,

00:34:18.820 you know,

00:34:19.260 I deserved that.

00:34:21.440 They're all saying

00:34:22.000 the complete opposite.

00:34:23.400 So it's just been

00:34:24.120 kind of mind-bending

00:34:26.020 that Lucasfilm

00:34:28.360 and Disney

00:34:28.820 couldn't see that

00:34:31.060 as well.

00:34:32.160 When they contacted you,

00:34:34.740 I assume they contacted you

00:34:35.940 with this

00:34:36.300 or maybe they just said,

00:34:37.240 ah,

00:34:37.560 it's over

00:34:38.300 for other reasons.

00:34:39.100 but when you found out

00:34:41.700 that you were

00:34:42.640 being cut out

00:34:43.640 of everything

00:34:44.140 and your career

00:34:45.060 was over

00:34:45.560 because of a tweet

00:34:46.400 that was exactly

00:34:48.020 the same

00:34:48.720 that your co-star

00:34:49.540 tweeted

00:34:49.940 except toward

00:34:52.120 the other side,

00:34:53.760 did you point that,

00:34:54.620 I mean,

00:34:54.760 you had to have gone,

00:34:55.740 guys,

00:34:56.100 wait a minute,

00:34:56.560 hold it.

00:34:58.140 I mean,

00:34:58.920 they didn't contact me.

00:35:01.520 This is,

00:35:02.020 this is very interesting

00:35:03.580 and I think it just shows

00:35:04.880 what the company was

00:35:07.220 at the time

00:35:07.740 a couple years ago.

00:35:08.460 They didn't even contact me

00:35:10.580 to let me know

00:35:11.100 they were letting me go.

00:35:12.260 They didn't contact me

00:35:13.280 to let me know

00:35:13.960 that there was about

00:35:15.660 to be paparazzi stalkers

00:35:17.200 and people flooding

00:35:18.320 outside my house.

00:35:19.560 I found all of that out

00:35:20.980 just like everybody else

00:35:22.500 did over the internet.

00:35:23.840 Oh my gosh.

00:35:25.220 The fact that,

00:35:26.160 you know,

00:35:26.320 and it did,

00:35:26.900 it was awful.

00:35:27.820 It was,

00:35:28.240 you know,

00:35:29.280 I've been trying to put on

00:35:30.280 a really brave face

00:35:31.240 for the last couple years,

00:35:33.640 but I mean,

00:35:34.200 I cannot begin

00:35:35.100 to even describe,

00:35:36.740 I couldn't leave my house

00:35:37.780 for seven days.

00:35:39.060 I was being stalked.

00:35:41.240 I was being harassed.

00:35:43.160 I was,

00:35:43.540 they were coming up to my,

00:35:44.520 I had to keep all my blinds closed

00:35:46.300 and I had actually lost all hearing.

00:35:49.080 I don't know.

00:35:50.760 It's a very interesting,

00:35:52.300 random thing.

00:35:53.580 I lost all of the hearing.

00:35:54.800 As soon as I was canceled,

00:35:55.840 my hearing,

00:35:56.520 like,

00:35:57.220 got clogged

00:35:58.020 and I could only hear

00:35:59.040 like five percent.

00:36:01.740 Is it,

00:36:02.000 was that kind of like,

00:36:03.580 I mean,

00:36:04.060 this is a horrible name for it,

00:36:05.300 but hysterical blindness

00:36:06.740 when you are in so much trauma?

00:36:10.020 It felt like,

00:36:10.920 it really,

00:36:11.640 yeah,

00:36:12.000 it really felt like that.

00:36:12.980 Like,

00:36:13.180 it felt like,

00:36:13.840 you know,

00:36:14.440 either that

00:36:15.000 or God just put earmuffs on me.

00:36:18.060 Wow.

00:36:18.420 And I just was like,

00:36:19.720 you know,

00:36:20.140 and so I really had to sit there

00:36:21.720 in my head

00:36:22.480 and I really had to sit there

00:36:24.660 in my head

00:36:25.160 and just go over things

00:36:26.620 and it was,

00:36:27.100 it was quite,

00:36:28.420 it was torturous

00:36:29.680 until I finally was just like,

00:36:31.260 okay,

00:36:31.980 I just gave it to God

00:36:33.620 and,

00:36:34.160 you know,

00:36:34.620 I just,

00:36:36.180 it's just,

00:36:36.820 it was just such an intense time

00:36:38.680 and,

00:36:39.200 you know,

00:36:39.420 for them not to even warn me,

00:36:41.560 you know,

00:36:41.720 I didn't have,

00:36:42.220 I didn't live in a gated community,

00:36:43.640 so I was out there

00:36:45.940 and that wasn't,

00:36:48.540 you know,

00:36:48.860 you think that somebody would have,

00:36:50.560 you know,

00:36:50.780 just call me and tell me,

00:36:52.140 hey,

00:36:52.380 thank you for all your work

00:36:53.980 and everything

00:36:54.440 and we're just no longer

00:36:56.120 going to work with you

00:36:56.840 and then they put out

00:36:57.580 the statement

00:36:58.100 about the denigrating people

00:37:00.220 off of their religious 0.88

00:37:01.140 and cultural beliefs

00:37:01.980 and being abhorrent

00:37:02.800 and I was just like,

00:37:04.280 this is,

00:37:05.260 I just,

00:37:06.420 it was just,

00:37:07.400 at the worst time possible,

00:37:09.180 they really kind of,

00:37:10.300 you know,

00:37:10.640 they definitely put my life

00:37:11.980 in danger

00:37:12.440 at that moment.

00:37:14.700 So,

00:37:15.340 what do you hope happens

00:37:16.880 with this lawsuit?

00:37:19.700 I mean,

00:37:19.940 I'd love to see the discovery

00:37:21.640 on all of the emails

00:37:23.300 going back and forth.

00:37:24.240 That'll be nice.

00:37:25.780 Yes.

00:37:26.320 Yeah.

00:37:26.780 I hope that,

00:37:28.240 I hope that this makes a change.

00:37:30.980 I hope that it,

00:37:32.120 it makes a change

00:37:34.240 in this industry

00:37:35.040 and it makes a change

00:37:36.200 in people's hearts.

00:37:36.980 You know,

00:37:38.060 the post that I got fired

00:37:39.600 for originally

00:37:40.280 or what they said

00:37:41.700 I got fired for

00:37:42.560 was,

00:37:43.580 was never supposed

00:37:44.540 to be what they,

00:37:46.280 the media

00:37:46.980 and all of them

00:37:47.700 twisted it into.

00:37:49.120 It was supposed to be,

00:37:50.300 you know,

00:37:51.360 do not demonize

00:37:52.400 your neighbor.

00:37:54.160 You know,

00:37:54.600 we need to look at each other

00:37:55.660 as human beings

00:37:56.460 because I,

00:37:57.580 the internet is one thing

00:37:58.960 but when you get outside

00:38:00.040 and you get around people,

00:38:01.760 there's so much love

00:38:03.060 and there's so much,

00:38:03.960 you know,

00:38:04.660 it's not the internet.

00:38:05.760 The internet is,

00:38:06.640 is false.

00:38:07.900 It's a lot of people

00:38:08.820 hiding behind,

00:38:09.820 you know,

00:38:10.180 brave ideas

00:38:10.940 and false accounts

00:38:11.940 and when you get,

00:38:13.580 when you get to be around people,

00:38:15.700 there is,

00:38:16.700 you know,

00:38:17.000 we all bleed,

00:38:18.020 you know,

00:38:19.020 red.

00:38:19.560 We're all just kind of

00:38:20.860 on this earth together

00:38:22.060 and so I hope that

00:38:24.140 the outcome for this,

00:38:25.380 this,

00:38:25.920 this case

00:38:27.460 is just to make,

00:38:28.780 you know,

00:38:29.440 everybody kind of be

00:38:30.480 a truly,

00:38:31.940 truly inclusive

00:38:33.300 industry in Hollywood

00:38:35.480 and make it that much difficult

00:38:37.200 to do what,

00:38:37.840 what happened to me

00:38:38.840 to happen to the next person.

00:38:41.940 Yeah,

00:38:42.420 you know,

00:38:42.740 it's people,

00:38:43.380 I don't think people

00:38:44.100 understand that,

00:38:45.640 you know,

00:38:46.000 it's happening to people

00:38:46.900 like you and,

00:38:47.920 you know,

00:38:48.660 people all over the country

00:38:50.240 who are in visible places

00:38:54.060 and I don't think people

00:38:55.600 really understand

00:38:56.340 if they do it to people

00:38:57.600 like you,

00:38:59.040 why would they hesitate

00:39:00.740 to do it to a nobody?

00:39:03.380 And that's,

00:39:04.620 that's the scariest thing

00:39:06.700 is they're not coming

00:39:08.280 after the nobodies 0.74

00:39:09.320 alone.

00:39:10.280 they're coming after

00:39:11.880 names like Elon Musk

00:39:13.340 who I think they're trying

00:39:14.160 to do the same thing to.

00:39:16.060 Oh yeah,

00:39:16.980 yeah,

00:39:17.200 we definitely,

00:39:18.200 when they try to smear him

00:39:20.180 as anti-Semitic,

00:39:21.260 I was like,

00:39:22.380 that's exactly

00:39:23.620 what they did to me.

00:39:24.560 They,

00:39:24.800 they try to smear you

00:39:25.960 as all of these

00:39:26.660 key words,

00:39:27.580 racist, 0.77

00:39:28.320 anti-Semitic, 0.99

00:39:29.960 transphobe, 0.73

00:39:31.120 and,

00:39:31.440 you know,

00:39:32.280 it's just,

00:39:33.140 it's really,

00:39:33.960 they're just trying to,

00:39:34.760 you know,

00:39:35.120 squash down anybody 0.97

00:39:36.280 who has,

00:39:37.140 you know,

00:39:39.060 the ability to reach

00:39:40.320 people to just,

00:39:41.360 to tell them,

00:39:42.820 yeah,

00:39:43.160 let's communicate,

00:39:44.140 let's think,

00:39:44.720 you know,

00:39:45.100 critically,

00:39:45.820 let's,

00:39:46.200 you know,

00:39:46.340 not just listen to

00:39:47.320 what the news

00:39:48.040 is telling us,

00:39:49.440 and let's,

00:39:50.720 you know,

00:39:50.920 let's communicate

00:39:51.500 with each other

00:39:52.080 because we have to

00:39:52.840 because everything is,

00:39:53.800 everything is owned now

00:39:55.220 by people who want

00:39:56.520 to just grab

00:39:57.080 more control.

00:39:59.160 It's really crazy.

00:40:00.320 It is,

00:40:00.620 I've never seen,

00:40:01.520 especially with Disney,

00:40:02.440 I've never seen

00:40:03.820 such a wrecking ball

00:40:05.480 taken,

00:40:06.420 you know,

00:40:07.260 to their own corporation

00:40:09.240 like Disney

00:40:10.780 has taken the wrecking ball

00:40:11.900 to everything

00:40:12.540 that they own

00:40:13.200 and everything

00:40:13.620 that they touch.

00:40:14.940 I mean,

00:40:15.460 this is just horrible.

00:40:17.800 It's truly a shame

00:40:18.860 because you just,

00:40:20.200 we grew up with Disney

00:40:21.500 and it doesn't seem

00:40:23.040 like it would be

00:40:23.560 that hard of a fix,

00:40:24.820 you know,

00:40:25.200 it doesn't seem like,

00:40:26.660 hey,

00:40:26.800 you know what,

00:40:27.240 we messed up here,

00:40:28.240 you know,

00:40:28.720 they're so good

00:40:29.520 at telling everybody

00:40:30.180 how to apologize

00:40:30.920 and get on their knees

00:40:32.040 and say sorry.

00:40:33.300 It's like,

00:40:33.720 you know,

00:40:33.960 lead by example

00:40:34.720 in this case.

00:40:35.540 It wouldn't be hard

00:40:36.280 to be like,

00:40:37.400 to look at my case

00:40:38.440 and say,

00:40:38.800 hey,

00:40:38.920 you know what,

00:40:40.040 we did wrong there,

00:40:41.320 let's make it right

00:40:42.200 and,

00:40:42.860 you know,

00:40:43.460 and then let's start

00:40:46.320 reaching out to,

00:40:47.400 you know,

00:40:48.440 really inclusive,

00:40:49.740 like all people.

00:40:52.040 It doesn't mean

00:40:52.860 that they have to follow

00:40:53.820 any type of political,

00:40:55.540 you know,

00:40:56.640 side.

00:40:57.120 They could just really

00:40:57.900 include and appreciate

00:40:59.400 the fan base

00:41:00.220 that they had

00:41:00.820 that has just

00:41:02.620 been completely

00:41:03.120 betrayed by them.

00:41:04.080 So I don't understand

00:41:05.380 in those meetings

00:41:06.360 how it's just not like,

00:41:07.860 you know what,

00:41:08.420 we did wrong,

00:41:09.820 let's face up to it,

00:41:10.900 let's do something

00:41:11.520 right here

00:41:12.200 and let's get,

00:41:13.560 you know,

00:41:13.800 let's get our,

00:41:14.460 our,

00:41:14.780 you know,

00:41:15.960 our conservative

00:41:16.840 viewers back.

00:41:19.120 Right.

00:41:19.320 It seems like

00:41:19.620 it would just be

00:41:20.080 a no-brainer.

00:41:21.720 I don't know

00:41:22.380 if they could

00:41:22.980 at this point.

00:41:23.640 I mean,

00:41:23.820 once you've violated

00:41:24.880 my family,

00:41:26.260 I mean,

00:41:26.500 beyond what they did

00:41:27.260 to you,

00:41:28.320 they,

00:41:29.300 you know,

00:41:29.920 they're,

00:41:30.560 they're trying

00:41:31.240 to teach

00:41:33.540 my children

00:41:34.140 principles

00:41:34.780 that I don't

00:41:35.800 agree with at all

00:41:36.780 and they've lost

00:41:38.600 that trust

00:41:39.560 that parents had,

00:41:40.660 oh,

00:41:40.780 it's Disney,

00:41:41.340 it's safe.

00:41:42.280 It's not safe.

00:41:43.940 And that's going

00:41:45.040 to take them

00:41:45.560 a long time

00:41:46.820 to recover that

00:41:48.420 and a good step

00:41:49.500 forward would be

00:41:50.420 to,

00:41:50.720 to,

00:41:51.260 to correct this

00:41:53.980 with you

00:41:54.580 and others

00:41:55.160 that they have wronged.

00:41:56.360 So,

00:41:57.100 you know,

00:41:58.040 when this happened

00:41:58.880 to you.

00:41:59.920 Nothing's impossible

00:42:00.760 though,

00:42:01.260 you know,

00:42:01.600 like,

00:42:02.140 I know.

00:42:02.900 If they keep

00:42:03.920 going down this route,

00:42:05.020 they're just going

00:42:05.520 to be considered evil.

00:42:07.560 You know,

00:42:08.700 I have a massive

00:42:10.320 ball to,

00:42:11.460 you know,

00:42:11.820 rock,

00:42:12.360 to push back up

00:42:13.120 a mountain

00:42:13.520 to get back

00:42:14.860 a career,

00:42:15.560 but I'm not looking

00:42:16.460 at that saying,

00:42:17.260 okay,

00:42:17.380 I'm at the bottom

00:42:18.000 again,

00:42:18.820 I'm not going

00:42:19.340 to do it.

00:42:19.860 You know,

00:42:20.080 we have to constantly

00:42:21.000 rebuild ourselves

00:42:21.840 and so do companies.

00:42:23.480 So,

00:42:23.760 if they started now,

00:42:25.700 you know,

00:42:26.080 they could,

00:42:26.740 you know,

00:42:27.100 start pushing

00:42:27.680 that rock back up

00:42:28.560 instead of it

00:42:29.060 just tumbling,

00:42:30.320 it's just tumbling

00:42:31.060 down the hill.

00:42:32.340 Yeah,

00:42:32.500 well,

00:42:32.700 you are going

00:42:33.140 to be,

00:42:33.800 you are going

00:42:34.460 to be,

00:42:34.960 you're going

00:42:36.020 to be fine

00:42:36.460 in the end,

00:42:37.380 especially since,

00:42:38.580 you know,

00:42:38.760 when this happened,

00:42:39.660 we weren't really

00:42:40.920 ready as conservatives

00:42:43.600 and I don't want

00:42:44.400 a bunch of

00:42:44.820 conservative films

00:42:45.800 or,

00:42:46.160 you know,

00:42:47.120 films,

00:42:48.660 but I just want

00:42:49.340 good films,

00:42:50.320 you know what I mean?

00:42:50.840 And can we have

00:42:52.460 them say decent

00:42:53.460 things about society

00:42:54.840 and try to help

00:42:56.620 us be better people?

00:42:58.860 But if you look

00:43:00.800 at the films now,

00:43:01.940 Angel is really,

00:43:02.940 I think,

00:43:03.260 leading the way

00:43:03.800 on this.

00:43:04.720 If you see some

00:43:05.820 of the stuff

00:43:06.240 that's coming

00:43:06.780 and I think

00:43:07.420 we're right

00:43:08.620 on the cusp,

00:43:09.460 I started the blaze,

00:43:11.260 you know,

00:43:11.680 before Amazon

00:43:13.340 and HBO

00:43:14.960 were online,

00:43:16.480 we were doing

00:43:17.460 digital streaming

00:43:18.380 at the blaze

00:43:19.040 and it was

00:43:20.100 a nightmare.

00:43:22.620 Now,

00:43:23.280 12 years later,

00:43:25.280 things are happening

00:43:26.820 to where there

00:43:27.700 is a community.

00:43:29.400 You give it

00:43:29.860 another five years

00:43:31.080 and we're not

00:43:32.540 going to have to

00:43:32.900 worry about Hollywood.

00:43:34.500 You know,

00:43:35.180 and it really

00:43:35.760 just breaks your heart.

00:43:37.500 You know,

00:43:37.780 I feel like

00:43:38.540 so many people

00:43:39.580 have come before me

00:43:40.820 and fought this battle

00:43:41.700 and nobody was

00:43:43.000 paying attention.

00:43:43.980 So I really am

00:43:45.620 honored to be

00:43:46.520 in a position

00:43:47.020 where people

00:43:47.620 are paying attention

00:43:48.840 right now

00:43:49.440 and to give respect

00:43:51.120 to those people

00:43:51.940 that came before me,

00:43:53.860 those actors

00:43:54.680 and everybody

00:43:55.380 that was trying

00:43:55.980 to break down

00:43:56.420 the barriers

00:43:56.900 for so long.

00:43:58.640 You know,

00:43:59.600 it breaks my heart

00:44:00.700 that, you know,

00:44:01.620 they didn't get justice

00:44:02.500 and so,

00:44:03.380 you know,

00:44:05.420 yeah,

00:44:05.740 I feel pretty fortunate

00:44:07.480 to be in the situation

00:44:09.460 to help with that

00:44:11.420 because, yes,

00:44:12.040 in five years,

00:44:13.000 it's going to be

00:44:14.200 even better

00:44:14.840 and I'm excited

00:44:16.440 to have just been

00:44:17.720 at the beginning

00:44:18.160 of this,

00:44:18.780 just how I was

00:44:19.480 at the beginning

00:44:19.980 of women's

00:44:21.100 mixed martial arts.

00:44:22.620 I feel like I get

00:44:23.560 to be, you know,

00:44:24.960 part of breaking ground here

00:44:26.640 and so I really hope

00:44:27.840 this case is,

00:44:29.920 I hope,

00:44:30.620 I hope people

00:44:31.520 pay attention to it

00:44:32.500 and blow it out 0.95

00:44:33.100 of the water

00:44:33.440 and just make sure

00:44:34.280 that, you know,

00:44:35.440 we're going to make

00:44:35.920 it easier

00:44:36.320 for the next generation

00:44:37.340 and the people,

00:44:38.120 the younger people

00:44:39.240 behind me.

00:44:39.880 I have such

00:44:41.820 great respect for you.

00:44:43.020 Thank you so much

00:44:43.760 for coming on.

00:44:44.700 You're welcome here

00:44:45.280 anytime.

00:44:46.720 Best of luck to you.

00:44:48.220 You bet.

00:44:48.580 Thank you so much, Glenn.

00:44:49.760 You bet.

00:44:50.940 Gina Carano.

00:44:51.600 Na, na, na, na, na.
