00:01:06.760 that no longer fit your life you know interest rates that made sense years ago monthly payments
00:01:10.700 that felt manageable at the time and then the debt just kept piling up and stacking up in the
00:01:16.840 background and because none of that happened all at once most people just live with it and they
00:01:20.380 adjust and they juggle and then they're sitting there like i don't know how to make this work

00:03:00.240 for standing with us now let's get to work
00:03:02.240 you're listening to the best of the glenn beck program i'm gonna put a photo up in case you
00:03:17.120 happen to be watching at glenn beck.com um it's a photo of somebody putting a flag on top of the
00:03:27.040 statue uh of uh khomeini over the weekend and if you look at this photo uh you will see that
00:03:36.440 i mean that is that's iconic really look at that if the media were doing their job that would be on
00:03:44.300 the cover of time magazine that would be on that'd be everywhere that's an iconic photo and it is
00:03:50.680 somebody standing on top of the statue of the ayatollah khomeini raising up the old original
00:03:58.180 iranian flag with the with the lion in the center okay that would be leading every newscast
00:04:06.500 it'd be looping on cable news debated dissected uh argued over all of this stuff instead all we get
00:04:14.040 is nothing but silence on that you most likely you haven't seen that picture before it was up on x and
00:04:20.080 then it just went away the reason why this photo is so important is because the man is standing on
00:04:28.380 the regime itself this is entirely different uh jason was telling me he put in without any information
00:04:35.460 he put in um you know if you had a regime like this into george ai if you had a regime like this
00:04:42.060 uh what should you do should you should a country get involved or not yada yada and george you know
00:04:48.240 doesn't know anything past i think 1820 so it talked about the french revolution uh and it's you
00:04:54.780 know you got to be careful of people on the ground because you never know what their real intent is
00:04:58.820 you don't want to get involved in things but i think you know what the real intent is with people
00:05:03.360 that are in iran right now standing up they're very very very clear this is not graffiti it's not
00:05:12.020 vandalism it's not a protest about gas prices or high prices it is a civilizational divorce
00:05:19.720 and the rest of the world is pretending not to see it because it doesn't fit their narrative
00:05:24.900 you know if this were black lives uh matter a riot over someplace else i'm sorry not a riot a mostly
00:05:31.840 peaceful protest they were burning london they were burning any city anywhere in the world the press
00:05:37.760 would be breathless look at the bravery of these people yet these people are actually risking their
00:05:43.040 life in a country where they're going to be killed if the regime if the regime does not fall all of
00:05:50.000 these people are going to be scooped up and killed if this was a pro-gaza mob shutting down airports
00:05:56.460 screaming at jewish students or or climbing a statue of george washington they would be the voice of the
00:06:01.760 oppressed but here we're dealing with something far more dangerous here we have
00:06:07.720 people rejecting an entire ideological project of the modern left that's why they don't want to
00:06:15.900 talk about this that's why this movement terrifies them because what you're witnessing
00:06:19.800 happening every day in iran is not just a mere uprising this is not just a revolt against a dictator
00:06:28.560 this is a rejection of political islam itself a rejection of clerical rule itself a rejection
00:06:36.160 of an islamic government a rejection of the idea that faith should be enforced at the gunpoint of
00:06:43.440 the state and most importantly it is a rejection of the strange makes no sense red green alliance
00:06:50.760 okay the red green alliance is this holy marriage between you know radical leftists uh the red and the
00:06:57.540 islamist movement the green they don't match at all for instance rick grinnell was on x uh yesterday and
00:07:04.560 he tweeted something he goes in and he rescues and helps people escape if you're you know gay or lesbian
00:07:11.440 or whatever and you're in iran you got to get out of there and so he has for a long time helped people
00:07:17.620 get out of iran and escape because they're going to be thrown off a building and they're going to be
00:07:21.840 butchered in the public square because of their sexual preference it's an abomination you don't hear
00:07:27.020 anybody on the left talking about that you don't hear anybody talk about rick riddell what a great guy
00:07:31.860 is saving the lives of people but anyway i digress the point is on x he said for the first time ever
00:07:38.960 i've gotten a lot of people out of iran for the first time ever he was told by somebody of the
00:07:45.600 lgbtq alliance wait wait wait i want to wait here a bit longer wait i can get you out now i want to wait
00:07:55.920 a bit longer first time that's ever happened he said there's real hope happening from within
00:08:03.280 inside the country not outside it's happening within and he said i don't think you can stop
00:08:08.540 the collapse of this regime at this point from his mouth to god's ears
00:08:12.840 because that starts to dismantle a lot remember this this starts to dismantle the chalkboard i put up
00:08:21.060 at fox in 2009 islamists communists socialists will all work together okay to destabilize the
00:08:28.740 the uh middle east europe and then eventually the united states they're doing all of that but this
00:08:35.080 is the first time i'm seeing it maybe beginning to fall the the iranian people last time they were
00:08:43.000 chanting for marx because it was the marxist that helped them get the cleric ayatollah khomeini
00:08:50.740 back into power by the way just just a quick side note i'm sure it doesn't mean anything to
00:08:55.920 marxists now but you know what happened all those marxists the clerics killed all of those marxists
00:09:00.920 okay you're a useful idiot you dope like they're going to tolerate you all right they're not tolerate
00:09:10.280 they're not chanting for marx they're not chanting for the muslim brotherhood they're chanting for
00:09:15.520 iran a free iran there was a um a post by a a woman in iran that was on x and she said don't
00:09:26.980 misunderstand what you're seeing this is not reform this is rejection we're not asking for a better
00:09:34.160 islam we're rejecting islamic rule all together that's key and that's why you don't see the left
00:09:42.020 helping on this at all how can you stand and with your hands in your pockets lgbtq community how can
00:09:50.860 you stand with your hands in your pockets when you know gays and lesbians are killed they are
00:09:57.200 slaughtered in the streets because they have a different sexual preference you stand with your
00:10:04.140 hands in your pockets you're actually shouting down the president of the united states they're going
00:10:09.460 to name a street after donald trump i guarantee it they'll name a street after donald trump
00:10:13.480 because all of the leftists that we've had in power since jimmy carter they keep their hands in
00:10:19.520 their pockets and their mouth shut and they don't do anything and people have lived women have lived
00:10:24.820 under this oppression and enough is enough they're saying this system belongs to us not you they're
00:10:30.840 saying islam as a governing ideology is incompatible with their history their culture their future
00:10:38.300 because they want to be part of the western world they're the only group of people that are actually
00:10:44.400 doing it it's amazing
00:10:47.260 but i'll tell you it's blasphemy to the the western left because if the iranian people actual brown people
00:10:58.300 actual muslims actual victims of imperial theocracy are rejecting islamic rule then the entire narrative
00:11:06.080 on the left collapses if islam isn't liberation then what exactly have the pro hamas protesters been
00:11:14.140 cheering for do you know when that collapses do you know how many stories oh i'm personally going to go
00:11:22.240 over and get do you know the stories that we're going to hear from people about what that's like
00:11:28.280 this is going to destroy this movement and here's what here's what is interesting i told you this on
00:11:36.200 monday one of the other things that was happening over the weekend was democrats people who until
00:11:41.460 recently bent over backwards to excuse or sanitize uh pro hamas demonstrations saying no that's not what
00:11:50.140 they mean when they say river to the sea what exactly do they mean then they condemned hamas
00:11:56.620 publicly strongly on x jerry nadler did it uh aoc did it suddenly the the protesters that are
00:12:05.020 condemning and heckling jews suddenly they're drawing lines no that's not that no uh uh what
00:12:12.120 what is that all about the alliance is cracking this should give you real hope as we are fighting
00:12:22.980 sharia law here as we are make no mistake what do you think is really going on in minnesota in that
00:12:29.700 somali community you think there's no sharia courts in that muslim community in minneapolis oh you bet
00:12:37.060 there is you bet there is there's no go zones
00:12:39.500 everything that's coming out of iran exposes the lie
00:12:47.680 and i will bet you that we will find that there is lots of leftist money going in to help
00:12:53.840 stabilize the regime bet you i will bet you the rainy the iranian people are ripping a mask off of
00:13:03.600 this lie and they're saying we know exactly what an islamic government looks like we've lived under it
00:13:09.320 for 45 years we want no part of it you imagine what a free persian people is going to do what they're
00:13:15.200 going to do for europe when they start telling their stories uh guys i don't care what you say
00:13:22.520 you have no idea we just lived under it for 45 years there's a poison in your civilization and
00:13:30.720 you've got to chase it out it's pretty amazing
00:13:35.960 and how can you claim all these people who are claiming that they are standing for it listen
00:13:42.360 they're standing for they're standing up for the people are they because in with ice there's
00:13:48.200 they're telling people that the ice shouldn't go in and get people who forcibly raped children
00:13:55.000 who murdered people how are you standing up for our society you don't want that picked up off the
00:14:04.500 streets what you're you're standing up for hamas which did the same thing you're standing up for
00:14:12.080 uh hezbollah which does the same thing you're you're not standing up for the persian people
00:14:18.360 who are just saying as women i don't want to wear the burqa anymore i want to be free i want to choose
00:14:24.620 my own way you're you're not standing up for gays who are being slaughtered in iran i boy i don't know
00:14:34.500 how you even well you don't i was gonna say i don't even know how you make that case but you don't
00:14:39.580 you don't that's why they stopped making it over the weekend with aoc they started backing up from
00:14:43.460 it because it's going to topple the regime is going to topple and so is the red uh the red green
00:14:47.640 alliance it's going to topple it's going to it has to because it's all a lie all of it this this
00:14:58.480 movement
00:14:59.360 tells us identity politics is a lie culture actually matters history actually matters faith cannot be
00:15:11.060 coerced and it also says the west's not wrong about a lot of things
00:15:17.220 and that's dangerous and that's why the media is looking away but we shouldn't that man on that
00:15:22.060 statue he's doing what many of us don't have the courage to do thank god many of us don't have to
00:15:30.120 do it yet but think of the courage it took for him to go up there and do it he's standing on tyranny
00:15:37.360 he's reclaiming their persian identity he is choosing nation over ideology he's waving a flag that says
00:15:45.620 we existed before you and we're going to exist long after you are in the dustbin of history
00:15:52.940 and that should haunt every tyrant history is moving and we are lucky enough to be alive to observe it
00:16:02.720 and hopefully help shape it
00:16:07.020 as a gun owner i understand the importance of being prepared but it is crucial to recognize that
00:16:14.840 according to law enforcement statistics 99 of all altercations do not require lethal force
00:16:21.220 that's why i endorse berna i believe in the power of the gun but a less than lethal self-defense tool
00:16:27.760 is berna and it is great my children have it they're all over 18 i have it it it takes away all of the
00:16:34.720 worry about the legal ramifications of what would happen and it puts the power back into your hands
00:16:40.620 that you're willing to use legal in all 50 states no background checks no permits no waiting periods
00:16:45.620 you'd have one shipped straight to your door providing peace of mind where and when you need it most
00:16:50.660 i own berna launchers and you should too berna launchers hand assembled in fort wayne indiana
00:16:56.140 by proud american company the people at berna believe in our right to defend ourselves
00:17:01.060 and providing options that align with responsible and effective stopping power berna b-y-r-n-a.com
00:17:07.600 berna.com slash glenn now back to the podcast you're listening to the best of the glenn beck program
00:17:14.360 you know the guy who really started this all i mean we have been hearing about the fraud
00:17:22.160 in minnesota for a long time and local people have have exposed it others have exposed it but nick
00:17:28.960 surely actually got out and made it personal made it something that you could experience and see
00:17:34.880 by going to these you know leering centers uh where there were where there were no children leering
00:17:42.200 in them uh and uh and in then this the fraud was exposed well that made big big news when that first
00:17:51.280 came out uh there is part two coming out probably maybe about 90 minutes uh nick's working on the final
00:17:58.160 edits of it now he's here to tell us about what's coming hi nick how's it going everybody very good
00:18:04.040 very good i need to get some of your leering center merch oh yeah if you do uh so tell me what you're
00:18:12.380 exposing or what this next part two is really all about yeah so essentially in minnesota and across
00:18:20.100 the country they have these things called nemts but in minnesota they've abused it to the point where
00:18:25.680 now it's kind of what upholds all the fraud with the with the welfare programs as they use these
00:18:31.600 transportation companies to create some sort of paper trail to make it look like they're providing
00:18:37.480 all these services to these people that that way they're able to continue frauding out the welfare
00:18:43.240 programs whether it be the daycares the adult daycares the health care clinics they're able to then use
00:18:48.760 these transportation companies to make it look like they're actually fulfilling these services but
00:18:53.640 they're actually not so there are there are transportation services that are involved that
00:18:59.540 are filling out fake transportation stuff well what they do is for instance like at an adult daycare
00:19:07.340 they they also are embedded with the health care the health care company that's just a few blocks
00:19:13.520 down the road but because there's actually not actually not a person or there's not a real service
00:19:17.840 that needs to be provided they need to make it look like something's happening so therefore
00:19:21.840 they get these transportation companies to then act like they're taking up taking a person
00:19:28.600 to the location and then they fill out a form saying that they provide this service and such
00:19:35.620 and then that way there's kind of the paper trail that they're actually fulfilling and doing these services
00:19:40.880 you've been working with a guy who's with you on camera uh i don't even know who he is but
00:19:46.360 i i gather he is a local that is just like hyper focused on fraud in minnesota do i have that right
00:19:55.080 yeah that's right that is you know i i think that's the smartest thing uh nick i i have found that you
00:20:01.340 know i said this a while back who is the best person to to teach um you know the battle of gettysburg
00:20:09.060 i don't know but there's got he might be a cab driver in detroit that has studied his whole life
00:20:15.860 and can tell you where every bullet was retrieved on the field of gettysburg he's dedicated his whole
00:20:21.100 life and he's he's a zealot on it that's that's who you really get when you want to move mountains
00:20:26.660 you get those people and it's really smart of you how long has he been working on this tracking it
00:20:32.100 for up to seven years now where he's been looking looking into it and then he's been getting all the
00:20:38.060 research and information for a few years i believe because it's hard to get the exact numbers and
00:20:43.140 everything so he's done everything possible to get the numbers from the capital and that's why we're
00:20:49.020 able to prove and that's why nobody's been able to debunk anything inside the video because it's all
00:20:54.800 true because there's a bunch of research and due diligence done beforehand nick this is ricky glenn's
00:21:01.760 favorite producer i have a real title but i like to go with that um one of the reasons why i love
00:21:06.320 your work is because you show and not just tell the story so in this video that's going to be releasing
00:21:12.560 in the next 90 minutes what are we going to see is it going to be more awkward confrontations are you
00:21:19.540 probably going to get more death threats as a result of this yeah you're going to see a bit of
00:21:24.740 everything because we start going to these locations from the the website at the state of
00:21:29.920 minnesota to where these transportation companies are and they're nowhere to be found and then when
00:21:35.200 we ask the somalians well where are these companies at people start making all these crazy threats
00:21:41.060 they're coming after me saying that saying all this sort of crazy stuff i don't even want to say it on
00:21:46.460 over air because it's just people just will have to watch it but they're basically making like saying
00:21:52.440 that if somebody were to get shot and killed it'd be my fault because of what i've done
00:21:56.180 and i'm just telling them i'm here to talk about fraud can you tell me where the transportation
00:22:00.540 company is and david makes a great point inside the video and he says once once you piss off the
00:22:07.620 fraudsters they can't defend themselves so they deflect everything and they make it a race issue
00:22:13.200 when it's not that's what i've been talking about um this week with with the governor and the mayor
00:22:20.160 and everybody else involved these ice protests this this is this is the most cynical thing uh i have
00:22:28.200 ever seen i think any politician ever do they're they're they're threatening uh civil disorder and
00:22:36.220 i mean waltz alluded to civil war um and it's all just to change the subject so nobody's looking at
00:22:45.120 them and saying hey when did you know all of this stuff was going on it's it's really nasty
00:22:50.920 yeah it is very nasty and i mean for instance ilhan omar she hasn't said a word about the fraud
00:22:58.320 but she's out there telling people they need to go against ice
00:23:01.680 and so they're just using this opportunity to try and deflect everything against the fraud to make
00:23:10.280 you'll not think about it because they know they were caught red-handed tim waltz he dropped out of
00:23:15.220 re-election because of it i did a um i did a monologue earlier this week where i was just making a list of
00:23:22.020 all of the people that most likely had to have at least had an inkling if not known and then they i'm
00:23:30.500 not saying they were part of it but they at least turned a blind eye and the list is very long i didn't
00:23:35.240 even get to the somali community i just got to the people in state government and at the airport
00:23:39.700 i mean there are hundreds of people that were had to have known in the banking uh tsa and also in uh
00:23:51.020 in state government yeah i think people just got so used to happening to the point where they just
00:23:57.360 felt like maybe if they did speak out against it nothing would happen or maybe it's not worth losing
00:24:03.200 my job if i do speak out against the millions of dollars being funneled through the airport
00:24:07.640 i think a lot of people were scared because they'd be called an islamophobe or white supremacist by
00:24:14.280 their colleagues and lose their jobs nick this is ricky again the last time we had you on you said that
00:24:22.500 you and the fbi were playing phone tag with each other did you hand over this these new findings for the
00:24:30.540 transportation fraud to the fbi or is anyone at the fbi or doj reaching out to to pursue an investigation
00:24:38.600 into what you're finding that's a good question i know david he did a briefing with scott bessett the
00:24:44.800 secretary of treasury and he talked about it and so i imagine that if they didn't take it serious then
00:24:51.420 they'll take it serious today um the you know you talk about scott bessett i'm glad to hear i'm glad to
00:24:57.860 hear that i think one of the biggest culprits in this because their fingerprints are always around
00:25:02.240 stuff like this well the banks there's no way you take 700 000 i'm sorry 700 million dollars in cash
00:25:09.600 cash that money cash them into uh into actual hard currency and then put it on airplanes and send it
00:25:16.640 to somalia the banks had to have known is are you looking into that at all yeah i actually spoke to a
00:25:24.680 former tsa uh police officer i think that's what you call it yeah and yeah he told me all about it
00:25:30.340 and um yeah it's very real and all they have to do is get that money to a country like dubai and then
00:25:36.900 they can then move that money over to wherever they want i have a feeling when you're done in um
00:25:43.180 minnesota and you may never be done in minnesota but when you're done in minnesota
00:25:46.800 you should stop by california i can't imagine right yeah it's bad there are you getting tips
00:25:56.740 from other states yeah lots of people have reached out to me and uh california is definitely like on
00:26:03.380 the top of the list from everybody that i've spoken to just because just how bad it is there and
00:26:09.600 for instance just like the price of gas is insane there and that and then they're always complaining
00:26:15.900 about taxes and all this and that but a lot just the cost of living there's insane meanwhile they're
00:26:21.140 paying they're paying the most in taxes and they don't feel like they're receiving anything from
00:26:26.380 their taxes are you hearing massive fraud in california oh yeah i think just like for instance just like
00:26:34.080 that train they try to build or from la to las vegas or the homelessness all the non-profits i mean
00:26:42.680 there's so much fraud that well happened though i mean i want to stand up for the train you had to
00:26:48.460 put two tracks parallel with each other on a pretty flat surface for a few miles and that hasn't been
00:26:56.580 done since well the 1800s i mean we've been doing it since the 1800s but it's only a couple of hundred
00:27:02.300 years old in technology you wouldn't expect people in silicon valley or anybody in california understand
00:27:07.040 that kind of new technology of laying rails it's insane yeah it's pretty unbelievable i know nick
00:27:15.220 thanks so much thanks for everything you're doing i appreciate it this is going to come out in about
00:27:18.460 what 90 minutes yeah hopefully in the next 90 minutes or so and we'll find it at your youtube channel
00:27:24.160 yeah youtube and on x okay good thank you very much youtube.com slash at nick shirley or on x nick shirley
00:27:33.120 um i can't wait to see it i can't imagine what is next i mean you know you asked the question
00:27:40.500 about death threats he kind of said it in a joking way i he he needs to watch out for himself i mean
00:27:48.460 these people are serious you are dealing with billions of dollars billions of dollars people
00:27:54.640 get killed for exposing things like this i i uh i hope he is safe you're listening to the best of glenn
00:28:02.280 back need a little more check out the full show podcasts anywhere you download podcasts i have uh
00:28:08.280 my whole team is uh in town today um we have people all over the country and everybody's come in because
00:28:13.700 we have a a big i have a big announcement to make to the staff today um that i'm really excited about
00:28:20.680 something that i have wanted to do since i first thought i'm going to do talk radio we have a bingo card
00:28:28.400 for what we think you're going to announce yeah am i allowed to share any of that no okay no nobody's
00:28:34.240 getting robots um it's one of the guesses i think he's getting us a robot no i'm not getting you
00:28:40.400 anything what are we selfish anyway um so uh they're all in town and uh nick daly who has been we've been
00:28:47.220 together for 2000 25 years 25 years um and uh nick does all of our production any of the beds you hear
00:28:55.360 any of any of the music that you hear uh he and sam cardin who is our uh the guy who composes all of
00:29:01.800 our music uh they record it all and everything else and it's just great but i asked him to do
00:29:07.300 something uh on the american story and this is a this is based on a book by david and tim barton
00:29:13.180 uh and uh nathan nipper who is a writer for me he spent months adapting this and writing it
00:29:20.980 and then i did the narration for it and then you took it and you had it forever i mean it's this is
00:29:26.540 hard yeah it was like six months of work probably for 10 episodes 10 episodes yeah um hope it's worth
00:29:32.820 it um but anyway uh i heard i mean you've always i've always said you are the best in the business
00:29:39.560 i mean that i mean you know the skywalker sound doesn't have anything on you um and uh uh when
00:29:48.580 i had this come back to me you can and ricky said this to me today when you're telling the story about
00:29:54.180 george washington or i'm telling the story about george washington you and he's in the battle you can
00:29:58.620 hear the bullets whiz by especially if you're listening in your car you're it's like the bullets are
00:30:05.140 whizzing by your head how did you do that is that just stereo is that yeah
00:30:09.500 most of it's stereo but for the for the stuff passing by you is binaural audio so it's kind of
00:30:13.580 a spatial adaptation of stereo that kind of fakes surround sound and headphones amazing yeah it's
00:30:19.520 really amazing because you do feel it i mean you feel like you're in battle it's amazing and we
00:30:24.720 wanted it to be really immersive so you could feel what the the angst that these people are going
00:30:28.440 through in these battles i mean it's hair raising to have a bullet fly past you let alone a hundred of
00:30:32.240 them yeah it's amazing were you amazed by the story i was yeah yeah some of the stories are like
00:30:36.360 wait what happened just the fact that george washington made it through that battlefield
00:30:40.180 oh all the way you know with all these bullets flying past him and bullets going through his
00:30:44.000 coat yeah it still never got yeah taken incredible it's called the american story how many tracks did
00:30:49.480 what is what is like something normally you would do for us uh it really depends on the context but
00:30:55.740 maybe you know maybe a hundred tracks normally but there were there was one or two episodes that
00:31:00.140 probably approached 400 400 tracks 400 tracks well you were fabulous it's really really good
00:31:06.100 we do have one clip from the battle of trenton yeah here's the battle of trenton from the american
00:31:12.200 story can be found now it's free at glennbeck.com listen it's after 8 a.m when washington's troops
00:31:21.580 finally swarm into trenton there's no turning back now the hessian troops stumble from their barracks
00:31:28.080 into heavy musket and cannon fire in the frenzied charge an 18 year old virginian takes a musket
00:31:35.220 ball through the shoulder that severs an artery he collapses he's bleeding out in the snow
00:31:41.500 a civilian doctor named john reicher as in reicher's island rushes into the fray reicher's not in the
00:31:50.460 army he just shown up to offer his assistance when he heard the battle erupt spotting the fallen
00:31:57.360 officer he tears open the man's uniform and clamps the artery with his bare fingers
00:32:02.260 it works dr reicher saves the young lieutenant's life a young man named james monroe who is going to
00:32:12.420 go on to serve as the nation's fifth president it's incredible and you're just hearing this in mono
00:32:20.000 we're making in mono uh for uh radio audio you listen to it online at glennbeck.com and it it is
00:32:26.500 so immersive it is really great it's really hard to find sounds that don't have ventilation hum or you
00:32:33.140 know when you talk about these historical things yeah it's like let me find a room tone or a you know
00:32:37.420 a city ambience that doesn't have cars in the background or doesn't have planes this is the kind
00:32:42.780 stuff he thinks about all day long it's like where do i find the ambient noise that doesn't have a
00:32:48.080 car in the background you're the audio nerd we need you are you're fabulous you're fabulous thank
00:32:52.960 you very much i appreciate it um there is also uh something else oh before you leave
00:32:58.320 the uh george ai and the glenn ai uh george ai today is on sharia law um and i don't know what
00:33:06.900 glenn ai is on do you know jason didn't tell me so he's fired right uh yeah of course he is um
00:33:12.640 but um can you talk about that because i remember doing something we should find this
00:33:17.680 from 2017 i tried to recreate my voice using ai and you could you could hear kind of the beginnings
00:33:25.800 of the tones that i would use but it was so clearly just it was garbled it was awful um and they said
00:33:32.840 that audio is actually harder than video for some reason i don't know if that's true but that's what
00:33:37.420 we heard at the time and and it has moved so fast we were on the phone was it over christmas and we
00:33:44.980 were trying to get my voice right right yeah and i have to tell you i listened to it last night and
00:33:50.200 it's a little spooky i mean it it it's i mean it's exact except it doesn't make any mistakes it's exact
00:33:56.960 and it's like you have to retrain it constantly because as the algorithm is evolving or as the the
00:34:02.260 but the voice model is evolving sometimes they'll make a code change and all of a sudden you sound
00:34:06.820 like one of the generic voices for a few seconds at the beginning so then i'll have to go back and
00:34:10.780 retrain the retrain the model because in the middle of one of the george ais this week all of a sudden
00:34:16.560 you heard george just he like changed it was like going through puberty for a second yeah and then it
00:34:21.080 came back and that was and that's just like a glitch in their model that is really hard to predict
00:34:26.380 and that's 11 labs yeah that's are they the only ones that make voices like this are they just
00:34:30.400 there's some other ones but i think they're the best like i've heard some other ones and it's like
00:34:33.800 you can really tell that they're ai or they sound stilted yeah and they're 11 has the best emotional
00:34:39.820 context it's a it's incredible it is it's incredible it's not quite there entirely yet but but it's
00:34:46.260 enough to to fool somebody into thinking that this is yeah and the one thing we want to make sure that's
00:34:51.120 why i call it glenn ai is we never want you to think that that is me um although it is based on
00:34:57.220 30 years of everything i've ever recorded ever ever written my entire catalog which is
00:35:04.280 i went through this the other day what was it like 40 or 400 some some crazy thing like 400 bibles
00:35:13.320 i mean it's just this enormous library um and it so it takes everything that i know it can't pull
00:35:21.920 from anything outside only the information and it has to memorize everything i've ever said
00:35:26.620 and so when it says talk to me about uh you know whatever uh talk to me about ai it will talk to you
00:35:34.660 as as it understands me and my performance it's clearly not me but it is it it can only take my
00:35:41.780 ideas and rework them um uh in the fashion of of of ai and we're it's weird we're seeing a split in
00:35:50.520 the audience some people say i can never i can never listen to it i don't ever want to listen to
00:35:55.600 it i don't want anything ai that's fine and i understand that i do i've been the guy on the on
00:36:02.040 the radio since well it's not even the 20s it was 1996 or 7 that started warning about ai and told you
00:36:10.780 what was coming and said it was going to happen around 2030 and here it all is we are we're going
00:36:17.460 to release our ai ethics uh here in the next few days so you understand my ethics on ai so you know
00:36:23.600 exactly how i feel about it it is the most dangerous thing man has ever invented it is also the greatest
00:36:31.020 thing man has ever invented it just depends do you understand it's a tool and i really this really
00:36:39.440 was brought home to me i was with a friend who's a surgeon and uh he was working um on uh a robot
00:36:47.980 if you will and it's called the da vinci 7 i think and it is this amazing surgical tool that can do
00:36:56.740 things that you just can't do but it is all run by the surgeon it is still his hands off to the side
00:37:04.480 of the room running this robot but it can get into places and the difference that it can make in
00:37:10.780 people's lives and surgery is remarkable but he's not the tool that's the tool he's the one making all
00:37:19.600 the decisions and everything else and if you if you decide to check out and don't do anything ai
00:37:27.140 i fear you're going to regret it if you don't understand that ai is a tool and you are its master
00:37:35.780 you are going to live to regret that even more but i remember when apple 2c came out the apple 2c
00:37:43.860 remember that old computer uh and i like to write things out on longhand and i got an apple 2 and i'm
00:37:50.880 like typing all this stuff in and i'm like i hate this i'm never gonna i just like it in paper
00:37:54.840 and i never learned to use a computer up until the 2000s because i didn't want it i like paper
00:38:00.740 i have a hard time with computers i'm not nothing is intuitive to me because all of that time was
00:38:07.960 wasted okay um and i i can't do that the same is going to be true with ai it is going to be a part of
00:38:15.820 your life you should master it now before it tries to master you but you should master it now because
00:38:23.480 it's i don't care what you do it's going to play a role in your life master it use it as the tool
00:38:31.400 so you're not so you in the end have a choice i'm either going to use it or i'm not i'm going to use it
00:38:38.440 that way or i won't but at least you'll have that door open to where you can use it in ethical ways
00:38:45.180 but if you avoid it now you're going to you're going to regret it i really believe you're going
00:38:51.660 to regret it because you'll be left in the dust and it's moving way fast way fast
