The Glenn Beck Program - Best of The Program ｜ Guest： Rep. Thomas Massie ｜ 8⧸7⧸20

00:00:00.000 hey it's glenn beck i'm back for the friday podcast you don't want to miss today's show

00:00:05.220 uh we've got a lot of great information a lot of uh updates on stories that we have covered

00:00:11.860 even back in february now being confirmed it shows real progress in the elimination

00:00:17.660 of the deep state don't miss a second of today's show

00:00:22.260 you're listening to the best of the glenn beck program

00:00:32.440 i think joe biden uh has said it best and if i if i may could we just let's get his uh viewpoint on

00:00:44.600 hispanics because i i mean he's a genius what you all know but most people don't know unlike the

00:00:51.180 african-american community with notable exceptions the latino community is an incredibly diverse

00:00:56.020 community with incredibly different attitudes about different things oh wow black people so 1.00

00:01:02.780 unlike black people who are just lockstep and they think alike on everything uh wow and that's not the 0.99

00:01:10.240 first time with him either because he just said if you're not black yeah i mean if you don't vote for 0.98

00:01:15.880 me you're not black you're not black i mean this guy does he know does he know like the king of all

00:01:23.340 black people or he does does he i mean i i'd like the information that shows him uh that uh all black

00:01:32.560 people just think alike yeah can you imagine interesting can you imagine if donald trump if i

00:01:37.980 would have said that i'd be off the air today if i would have said that that i mean that's incredibly

00:01:43.720 racist we should know too that joe biden not only said that but then reiterated it he said it twice

00:01:49.600 so i mean it was it wasn't like a mistake he misworded it he said the same thing two separate

00:01:55.100 times and then he tried to deny it afterwards by saying earlier today i made some comments about

00:02:00.300 diversity in the african-american and latino communities that i want to clarify in no way did

00:02:05.540 i mean to suggest the african-american community is a monolith well not on what do you say not by

00:02:12.200 identity not on issues not at all well what do you mean no that's the opposite of what you said

00:02:17.060 what you said yeah this guy is i mean it's incredible yeah absolutely incredible and then

00:02:25.560 if i may let me play what cuomo has said about donald trump listen to this we had assumed the president

00:02:34.340 was refusing to help us with testing because he was making a political calculation

00:02:40.020 but regrettably we may have been wrong today this president gave us reason to believe

00:02:47.220 that his judgment may not just be bad it may be impaired did you hear this those are the rantings

00:02:57.420 of someone shouting at the sky and hoping for spare change

00:03:02.280 wow wow this is in response i'll get it it's in response in in response to something donald trump

00:03:11.700 said yesterday but did you hear what he just said first of all the first time cnn has admitted

00:03:17.420 that they were wrong yeah yeah we were hard enough on the president that's the problem right we were 0.95

00:03:24.540 wrong this guy is the devil himself um we just thought he was a spawn of satan we were wrong he's satan 0.95

00:03:33.880 um is so the first time that they've admitted that they're wrong they're calling him mentally impaired 0.97

00:03:41.440 biden on the other hand no he's totally fine but they're saying he might be mentally impaired

00:03:49.120 now here's the statement from donald trump that made him say that listen you will have a crash in

00:03:56.840 the markets because he's going to double and triple your taxes he's going to do things that nobody ever

00:04:03.060 would ever think even possible because he's following the radical left agenda take away your guns

00:04:10.820 destroy your second amendment no religion no anything hurt the bible hurt god he's against god he's 0.88

00:04:20.500 against guns he's against energy our kind of energy uh i don't think he's going to do too well in ohio

00:04:28.760 okay so not real eloquent but that's not what we expect from donald trump but he's right

00:04:40.180 when he says uh you know he's against god well i don't know if he's against i don't know if he's

00:04:46.840 like in his in his bedroom going i'll thwart you but he is in league with the people who are taking away

00:04:55.500 the rights of the religious he is in league with people who are marxist who are anti-god i don't think

00:05:04.780 that joe biden is anti-god i i don't know if he even i don't even know if he understands that he's

00:05:11.820 still alive today or understands the concept of god at this point um but his policies and the people

00:05:20.600 he surrounds himself will with are you telling me that this movement is not they're burning bibles 0.92

00:05:27.040 uh in portland and the left is saying that we're just making this stuff up that these guys aren't

00:05:34.680 really even there they're figments of our imagination i don't know i think denial of what's going on is

00:05:41.740 kind of anti-science and anti-god well they're backing they're backing a movement that is marxist anti-god

00:05:50.380 an anti-family thus anti-god i'd have to say uh when you're trying to break up the nuclear family 0.71

00:05:56.480 that's against god's precepts so uh yeah you can make the case you make the case you can actually

00:06:04.380 make the case you can make the case but what do i know i could be dead by i could be dead by sunday

00:06:10.180 um if people don't vote for me for the radio hall of fame that's the doctor that's what i heard the

00:06:15.620 doctor say so well you are a doctor so you probably did actually hear a doctor say it

00:06:19.780 thank you stew thank you for pointing that out thank you more evidence more evidence that you

00:06:27.480 should vote for me for the radio hall of fame i hate doing that i hate doing that which but well

00:06:34.460 hate having threatening threatening having to tell you the truth that i might die if you don't vote for 0.72

00:06:41.420 me i i hate to do it i hate to do it now at least if you die you won't come into the studio on monday 0.98

00:06:47.940 right and infect the rest of us without whatever covid 19 stuff you've got running around in your 0.94

00:06:53.420 body i don't have any covid i do not have the vid well are you going to deny science are you going

00:07:00.000 to say that these these highly accurate uh uh tests 99.9 accurate you're telling me that i can't trust

00:07:09.320 the test i'm gonna say there's a chance that you have it anyway i'm gonna say that maybe you get

00:07:13.780 two tests and then yeah yeah one more test is good well let's let's do another one really one

00:07:19.120 more test is good did you not say earlier this week you said earlier this week that your two weeks of

00:07:25.280 quarantine begin when tanya gets completely better now she wasn't completely better earlier this week 0.98

00:07:33.020 so when does that no but this no this this uh it started two weeks ago uh she got better i i'd say

00:07:42.800 she was better by tuesday you know she was on the mend by by monday she was better by tuesday of this

00:07:50.540 week but it is it's right but it is yeah it is right i know yeah i know but i'm in quarantine yeah it

00:07:57.760 feels like four weeks so i've doubled the amount of time you're not like this quarantine i don't know

00:08:05.700 why you're so opposed to quarantine you basically be living it by choice for multiple years

00:08:09.900 is that funny to you pat

00:08:14.060 you know what you know what it is i'm just i'm just done with it i i mean i've just done with it

00:08:23.960 you know i i quarantined i did you know did everything i was supposed to do it's been five

00:08:29.620 what has it been five months it feels like five months yeah it is five months no it's been five

00:08:34.040 it's five yeah months it's half a year since i have worked in the studio half a year well if a

00:08:42.400 year is 10 months yes it's half a year but the year's not 10 months okay i'm gonna just i'm gonna

00:08:48.960 i'm just trying to point out your faulty math here because it's not been 14 days either yet yeah

00:08:54.980 i mean i don't want to get the vid from you i don't want the rona from glenn okay i won't come in

00:09:02.540 if everybody's like a baby about it i won't come in well yeah you're gonna be babies no i yeah no no

00:09:08.060 i'm fine i'm fine i'm fine with that if if nobody wants if nobody wants me and i'm fine with that

00:09:12.980 how long can we because what if no one wants you in for two weeks man i'm coming in and i'm gonna

00:09:18.460 lick your face in two weeks two weeks what does your contract run out what if we don't want you in 0.81

00:09:24.620 until then it's my studio i own the studios how come i'm the only one not working there 0.98

00:09:33.700 it's a fair point it's a fair point uh so we now you can come in and we'll stay home one all i know

00:09:39.180 is i'm not going to be near you anytime soon all right so it'll be two weeks from next tuesday then

00:09:46.260 or it'd be two weeks right now you're right now next tuesday i think you're right the first time

00:09:50.340 it's next tuesday in fact when you say next tuesday who could even define which tuesday that

00:09:54.940 is right it could be a hundred tuesdays from now because by the time tuesday rolls around it won't

00:09:59.360 be the next one right you have to wait until eventually we'll catch up i think if we just

00:10:02.900 keep asking ourselves what's next tuesday and then we'll do two weeks from that day just keep asking

00:10:07.340 yourself every day it makes perfect sense i feel like i'm seeking i feel like i'm talking to the

00:10:11.720 teachers union that's what's happening you guys have joined the teachers union did you hear that in

00:10:18.000 new york if they have one case of covid in a school they're shutting it down that's what the

00:10:22.920 teachers unions want one case shut it down my gosh i mean that's obvious this is i fully expect

00:10:30.920 my kids to be home at some point this year for a week or two or who knows right like i think you have

00:10:36.360 to build that in as a parent going into this year that you know it's gonna happen yeah one case i think

00:10:41.620 most most schools will not close down for one case however there will probably be many outbreaks

00:10:47.580 you know here and there all over the country and you know seven eight kids get it they're gonna

00:10:51.660 they're gonna they're gonna cancel that did you guys see the the latest from the cdc now the warning

00:10:58.720 for our kids in schools there's some new disease that they're saying is like polio yeah saw that and

00:11:06.420 they're saying that it will yeah it will paralyze our kids and uh we should be very aware that this this

00:11:12.860 fall you know our kids could start getting becoming paralyzed you're like wait what it has nothing to

00:11:20.220 do with covid where did this one come from china what when did this one happen well it's funny too

00:11:27.820 because we've heard a lot about these like weird outbreak diseases for kids some of them related to

00:11:33.560 covid some of them not related to covid but the numbers on like overall deaths for kids are way down

00:11:40.680 like way down um in a now they're way up for everyone who's not a kid but they're way down for

00:11:49.660 kids and you know they're trying to figure out like what's going on what's those because you know

00:11:53.060 there's been these these arguments about like oh there's maybe more suicides or more drug deaths or

00:11:57.940 whatever and they're going through the numbers and and under 18 the numbers are way way down and what

00:12:04.460 they think that the situation is is number one like you know less people you know a big cause for kids

00:12:09.840 to die would be like car accidents right and like those aren't obviously happening nearly as often

00:12:13.980 but the other thing is is like parents are home all the time so it's like parent you know kids aren't

00:12:18.240 like you know getting under the cabinets and i don't know guzzling bleach or whatever the hell

00:12:22.080 no more tide pod challenges i suppose i don't know what i don't know can i tell you something i am

00:12:28.260 about to i'm about to have my teenagers take the the tide pod challenge right i mean kids being home

00:12:35.860 after five months which is not half a year i just found out uh you're welcome you are you parents are

00:12:44.780 really starting to say a tide pod if he doesn't take it maybe i will i'm just i'm just saying

00:12:53.200 you're listening to the best of the glenn beck program

00:12:59.620 anyone who really knows cooking understands that the tools you use are almost as important as the

00:13:23.140 knowledge of what you're doing over the past few months it has become more and more apparent to me

00:13:28.240 that this is absolutely the case when it comes to grilling because i am not an outdoor chef uh

00:13:34.080 although i recently feel like one every time i take a bite out of something that i prepared on my

00:13:39.320 rec tech there is something to the marriage of the sturdiness of the great design to the perfection of

00:13:45.600 the smart grill technology that when you're standing over a rec tech looking at what you've cooked

00:13:50.940 you're presiding over a work of culinary art and the best thing about it for people like me anyway

00:13:56.140 is that you yourself don't have to be good at cooking to be great with a rec tech it's high

00:14:01.060 end equipment without the high end price it's the last grill you're ever going to want to own

00:14:05.680 follow rec tech on all of their social media and sign up for their newsletter visit rec tech.com

00:14:11.660 that's r-e-c-t-e-q.com thomas massey how are you i'm doing great glenn how are you doing

00:14:19.620 how are you uh i'm i'm feeling fine i i had all the symptoms except for a fever i went and got a test

00:14:27.600 and i i tested negative i'm the only one in the family now that hasn't had covid um but i tested

00:14:35.400 negative but i think that's because of my my doctor has had me on a aggressive uh flight of of you know

00:14:45.660 uh zinc and hydroxychloroquine as soon as the family got it i started taking that as well and

00:14:52.480 he said we're going to make sure that you don't we don't we've done we've done everything we can

00:14:56.700 to make sure you don't get it and i think it worked well i've got some interesting news to share that

00:15:01.060 nobody knows yet uh i took the covid test the swab that goes up in your nose i took that last friday

00:15:07.560 but that's fun but i also asked them to draw my blood and do the antibody test and lo and behold

00:15:13.280 yesterday the fedex guy delivered my results and i have the antibodies so that means so you've had

00:15:20.720 you've had the vid i've had the rona and i have recovered from it and i've got three the tighter

00:15:27.340 uh of my antibodies indicates i have three times the level that's required to donate plasma

00:15:33.580 so i would happily do that to help uh anybody i can but i'm convinced i had it in january

00:15:40.860 i was laid out for four days no energy this was the end of the christmas recess uh a fever

00:15:48.200 sore throat i laid on the couch for four days because this was before we knew what rona was

00:15:54.240 but i knew i had something and i didn't want to give it to my family and uh i went to the doctor i

00:15:59.740 hadn't been to the doctor for sickness uh in like 10 or 15 years that's how sick i have to be to go to

00:16:06.780 the doctor and i said look i gotta go back to congress give me whatever you got and they gave

00:16:11.800 me a strong antibiotic shot and an antihistamine and uh i re i was feeling better within a day

00:16:18.620 you know the plasma thing is what uh stopped it in in italy i mean the the plasma treatment seems

00:16:27.260 to really work nobody's talking about that here you know i've talked to doctors here in kentucky

00:16:32.860 who used that early on and are convinced that it worked so yeah i'm happy to donate my plasma

00:16:39.220 and i just wanted to share that i wanted to get out there and tell folks about this

00:16:44.300 so but let's talk about other stuff yeah can we talk about what's happening in uh with the stimulus bill

00:16:52.140 what what what what what's going to happen today is the day right today is the day uh you know they

00:17:00.260 say they'll give us 24 hours notice if they come up with a deal this is the problem with the swamp

00:17:04.960 gland there are four or five people writing this bill and and in reality it's probably staff that

00:17:10.100 are doing it and then we're all going to be called back given 24 hours to read it and told to take it or

00:17:16.040 leave it and then you'll be vilified if you vote against it in fact they'll try not to have a vote but

00:17:21.240 they know that i will force it so they'll probably go ahead and have the vote

00:17:24.780 so what are we looking at thomas and and and how does this end

00:17:32.160 uh how does it the big end end i mean it ends with yeah i mean nobody loaning us money at the

00:17:40.380 federal government and us printing and hyperinflation that's how it all ends eventually

00:17:44.040 well we we don't have to go very far on that right now 95 percent of all of our treasuries that go up

00:17:51.820 for sale are purchased by the fed the biggest buyer in 2020 of of the national debt or anything

00:18:00.600 that we spend has been jerome powell i mean it's all being purchased by by the fed right now you know

00:18:08.300 you said you hate to call me a republican i have some friends who call themselves collapsitarians or

00:18:13.600 accelerationists

00:18:14.800 and actually i think they're the party in power because this is going to accelerate the collapse

00:18:25.000 of the dollar i believe and i nobody nobody's willing to say that and all of the signs are there

00:18:32.960 they're all there i mean we we've been downgraded i think it was by fitch uh not in our actual triple

00:18:40.540 a score but in our outlook uh as i think dangerous uh was was the word they used um we're printing money

00:18:49.500 we're borrowing it from the fed there's no end of the spending uh china and russia just hit the point

00:18:57.060 where they can now de-dollarize and not have to worry about it uh they've they've traded all of their

00:19:04.360 treasuries in except for you know a small number for what each of them held before and they have

00:19:10.040 purchased gold they are already on the move and they are in they're trying to convince others

00:19:15.560 to do a basket of currencies or whatever else which would collapse our dollar and i don't think

00:19:20.800 anybody really understands thomas what that means when that happens i don't think the average person

00:19:27.520 understands collapse of a dollar and what it means let me tell you how unsustainable this is

00:19:32.660 we're on the path for four trillion dollar deficit this year i looked it up the income tax generates

00:19:39.340 two trillion dollars so we would have to triple the income tax rate and that's our biggest source

00:19:45.060 of revenue for the general fund is the income tax we'd have to triple the income tax rate if you're

00:19:50.180 paying 25 of your income you'd have to go to 75 to cover government spending this year that's that's

00:19:56.560 assuming that that kind of tax rate didn't kill the economy so it's just not sustainable here's

00:20:02.340 another way of looking at it there four trillion dollars divided by 435 congressional districts is 10

00:20:08.780 billion dollars per congressional district i mean that's 20 counties in kentucky are going to have to come

00:20:15.140 up with 10 billion dollars at some point to cover this coronavirus spending it's just not sustainable

00:20:22.720 it's it's not going to happen the dollar will collapse tell me what a dollar a collapse of a

00:20:29.280 dollar looks like to the average person what does that mean well it's going to hurt the average person

00:20:35.800 more than it hurts the upper class oh yeah the upper class is not going to they won't feel it

00:20:41.620 right they're hedged they're they don't have all their money in dollars and and uh they've got hedges

00:20:47.480 against the stock market and everything that they hold that the average person is going to see their

00:20:52.540 savings go to nothing if they've got any savings the retirement income that's in fixed dollars your

00:20:58.760 social security is in fixed dollars they're not going to adjust that for hyperinflation so that

00:21:03.860 evaporates as well since we started this the dollar has declined in value by 10 percent that means if you

00:21:11.220 had a thousand dollars in the bank you still it'll still read a thousand dollars but you only have

00:21:17.160 nine hundred dollars worth of buying power and and people aren't understanding that a 30 percent drop

00:21:25.080 or more is very possible in you know in the span of a very short period of time where you could lose the

00:21:34.020 buying power of of half of your money that's it's depressing staggering but but i know you have a lot of

00:21:41.840 depressing topics to talk about and i was excited well can i talk about some of the other ones

00:21:46.980 yeah well let me talk about let me talk about the swamp the new uh hbo documentary that i can't believe

00:21:53.300 is on hbo um talk to me a little talk to me a little bit about it yeah yeah so they followed me

00:22:00.060 and matt gates and ken buck around for a year we gave them unprecedented access to our staff to our

00:22:06.760 offices to our homes they could have really screwed us on this movie and even though when a lot of

00:22:13.920 republicans watch this movie they're not going to be happy because it's critical of the president it

00:22:19.840 leans to the left in some ways even though all that's true they really gave us a fair shake they

00:22:25.460 did not distort anything that the three of us said they didn't take our words out of context and it's

00:22:31.980 somewhat of a miracle that this movie is on hbo and uh all in all i think it's good we did it we

00:22:39.060 took that risk because we needed to get the message out not just to the people watching fox and by the

00:22:44.960 way fox doesn't even cover what's wrong with the swamp uh but we needed to get it out to a broader

00:22:50.060 audience and they've and i think they've helped us do that i love your part where you are you're talking

00:22:56.020 about um the capital is the death star and you're you're trying to find the weakness and you end up

00:23:02.980 in the trash compactor yes that's my daily grind you know there was an exhaust port on the death star

00:23:09.860 and the other analogy to the death star is they're always working you're always working on it in the

00:23:14.800 movies right but it's even though it looks like they're working on it and the capital's always got

00:23:19.740 scaffolding on it right it's fully functional and capable of destroying happiness anywhere in the

00:23:25.040 universe like that describes the capital as well as the death star that's really that's really sad

00:23:32.100 isn't it i mean it's really crazy and you know we were just talking about joe biden's um sanity and

00:23:39.220 you know i'm not saying that he is you know alzheimer's or anything else he's just at least having the

00:23:45.460 natural decline that happens to people when they get older but he is really slipping he's not going to be

00:23:52.300 the president and i don't think i mean if if he would win he's not going to be running things and

00:23:58.020 i don't think it'll be the vice president either who's actually behind who are you voting for if

00:24:04.380 you're voting for for uh joe biden who's running the show it's going to be the the people who stay

00:24:12.820 in power whether it's a bush or a clinton or an obama or a trump they're just below the political

00:24:18.480 appointees and uh they have the most power because they've been there the longest and they just

00:24:24.420 expanded that part of the government in the national defense authorization act they created a cyber czar

00:24:30.780 a permanent position in the executive branch that has 75 full-time uh equivalent reports who are not

00:24:38.540 political appointees who who will decide the cyber policy now they'll say it's for security

00:24:44.580 uh but it's going to be they're going to dictate standards not just for the government but for any

00:24:50.820 company that wants to interact with the government and so they're going to be the ones perpetuating

00:24:54.980 the back doors and all your software and whatnot um let me let me transition um to another story that i

00:25:04.060 read uh that the intel community will not confirm that congressmen uh and senators are being surveilled

00:25:13.580 that's disturbing let me share a personal experience with you on this glenn we went down in a skiff

00:25:20.760 they called uh some of us down in a skiff and they said we have uh reason to believe another country is

00:25:27.980 trying to basically infiltrate congress or make connections with you all and while i was sitting

00:25:35.320 there i realized they are covering their posteriors here because my suspicion was they are spying on

00:25:43.100 some or all of us in this room and they want to disclose it without disclosing it so instead of

00:25:49.320 asking the briefer in that room whether they were spying on me or anybody in the room i asked the briefer

00:25:56.200 if you were spying on one of us and one of us asked you if you were spying on us would you tell us

00:26:02.340 if you were spying on us it could that sent them into a flitter and they what did they say they they've

00:26:10.820 got flustered uh couldn't complete sentences i mean it was the body language and then they basically

00:26:18.200 refused to answer the question which which is an answering of the question okay uh so so so hang on

00:26:25.220 let me take a break i want you to come back and explain what that means um to the average person

00:26:33.420 uh and what it means to you in in congress or the senate or the white house if the intel

00:26:41.160 community is just eavesdropping on everybody you know for their own safety

00:26:47.580 this is the best of the glenbeck program

00:26:53.140 we have the audio from joe biden from yesterday uh where he was uh talking to the cbs news reporter

00:27:03.600 and they and they asked uh you know have you had a cognitive test at all listen to this have you

00:27:09.780 taken a cognitive no i haven't taken a test why the hell would i take a test come on man 0.63

00:27:17.160 that's like saying man before you got in this program you take a test where you're taking 0.97

00:27:21.480 cocaine or not what do you think huh are you a jump what do you say to president trump a black man 0.97

00:27:28.360 brags about his test and makes your mental state an issue for voters well if he can't figure out the 1.00

00:27:36.700 difference between an elephant and a lion i don't know what the hell he's talking about did you watch

00:27:41.360 that look come on man i i know you're trying to goad me but i mean i'm so forward

00:27:47.000 looking to have an opportunity to sit with the president or stand with the president in debates

00:27:53.140 there's gonna be plenty of time and by the way as i joke with him you know

00:27:58.040 i i shouldn't say it i'm gonna say something i don't i i probably shouldn't say anyway yeah i am uh

00:28:04.480 i am very willing to let the american public judge my physical mental feel my physical as well as my

00:28:11.380 mental fitness

00:28:12.520 you wouldn't believe this if it was written for a movie you would not believe it it's it's just

00:28:24.080 remarkable my my my uh my uh my uh my mental capacity i mean at least woodrow wilson was in

00:28:33.520 office before this stuff happened you know this is like nobody knew it yeah i mean this is like

00:28:39.560 he's everyone everyone can see this all democrats know what's going on here they all know it yeah

00:28:44.700 the question is who's really going to be president because it's not going to be the vice president it's

00:28:49.880 really not is it center for american progress who is in charge of the next president
