00:32:22.620 2026 uh budget last night we did a special on blaze tv why trump's war on harvard is a major threat to uh

00:32:30.940 elites and there were two things that happened yesterday uh with the universities that's one of the

00:32:36.780 the reasons i just i love the uh administration i mean uh nobody's gonna nobody's gonna stop these

00:33:15.820 columbia it really was it was title six so we're looking at civil rights i'm sorry title six you're

00:33:21.180 right sorry no that that that's okay so that's been one of the things that you know has been on the agenda

00:33:25.980 for our talking to uh harvard and as well as columbia you know we just uh we can't allow

00:33:33.020 these title six you know violations to continue and there's this you know uproar um in the media

00:33:38.940 they're always talking about that we are trying to infringe on you know freedom of speech and i say no

00:33:45.900 no no this is not that at all uh this is not a freedom of speech violation this is a civil rights when

00:33:51.900 students cannot feel safe on campuses um you know then uh we we have to take we have to take action

00:33:59.660 and uh you know one of the things that i think what you might be addressing is that yesterday we sent a

00:34:04.380 letter to the accreditor uh for columbia that said that you know these uh the columbia is in violation

00:34:10.620 of its uh of title six and therefore you as an accreditor have to take very seriously your

00:34:16.460 responsibility of looking as to whether or not this accreditation should still stand uh and if

00:34:23.260 and if they can no longer be accredited then a lot of the students that are going there now etc

00:34:29.260 would be impacted by that so i think this is a uh it's a serious matter to bring before columbia

00:34:35.820 uh and i think they're going to be responsive i hope they'll be responsive to it you know very quickly

00:34:41.260 yeah you know i don't understand how title six uh isn't understood by you know these liberal

00:34:47.980 universities i mean everybody understood what jfk and rfk did when you know people were being harassed

00:35:51.900 prevent these protesters from being able to wear you know full masks or headdresses that you know that

00:35:58.620 cover their face uh and and uh preempt your being able to identify who they are um and so i i think

00:36:06.620 there's there's not been a great deal of pushback on those requirements uh still um you know they the

00:36:12.540 universities want to make sure that any student who is uh wearing any particular kind of covering as

00:36:18.860 as it's a religious or for health reasons that um that those you know be allowed um but uh you know to

00:36:27.180 and and and it goes along too with what the president is saying now is that we also have

00:36:31.740 to make sure we are vetting these students are asking these universities to vet these students more

00:36:37.180 carefully uh who are coming in and also the um you know the professors they're hiring what is their

00:36:42.540 ideology now this is again i'm not trying to tell universities how to teach but when harvard by its own

00:36:49.340 stats say that only three percent of its um of its teaching faculty are conservatives i don't think

00:36:56.460 there is the diversity of viewpoint which we would require uh you know of of these major institutions

00:37:03.020 it just doesn't make sense you know there's uh also i know you're looking into um uh berkeley

00:37:09.820 and harvard for their connection of uh to china and unreported funding from uh from china what do you know

00:37:17.740 about that well you know it's it's already um a statute on the books section 117 that requires

00:37:26.940 universities to report the amounts in the source of um of foreign funding uh and so you know it's not

00:37:34.940 just harvard and columbia there are many universities across the country that are not up to speed in doing

00:37:39.740 this so it's one of the things that we are cracking down on to make sure that we uh we do know the source of the

00:37:45.740 the source of the funding uh and uh so uh you know we're we're just getting all of these um

00:37:51.900 all these ducks in a row uh to make sure that everyone is abiding by the law well i will say

00:37:58.540 there's a disturbing story that came out yesterday about two chinese scientists that were is it michigan

00:38:10.460 okay tell the story this is so disturbing well it was uh and i and i i didn't hear the full story but

00:38:18.620 what i was listening to yesterday morning on the news was that uh it was discovered uh that one of

00:38:24.780 the students in his backpack uh what they showed on on television were four ziploc bags and in each bag

00:38:32.060 was this little bud of a fungus that could absolutely be introduced into agricultural crops

00:38:37.980 uh you know with a blight and i could destroy the crops and then of course if you're ingesting

00:38:43.740 uh some of these materials we weren't sure exactly what kind of health ramifications could we could

00:38:49.500 have on our population so you know this is the kind of thing when the president is saying we have to crack

00:38:54.220 down and understand who these um students are that are coming into our universities and how we're vetting

00:39:00.140 them um you know to know as much information as we can because this is really dangerous stuff i heard um

00:39:45.100 poisonous cells to come in uh and stir up hatred for israel for jews for anybody um but then take money from 0.60

00:40:03.500 do to do this work these two chinese uh scientists come in smuggle it in and the program is run by two 0.97

00:40:55.180 to withhold funding once we do our investigation and have our findings and i'm very happy that that

00:41:01.340 you know we are doing that um because we you know turning up but i mean this was such a clear

00:41:06.460 violation yesterday with these two scientists and and discovering you know these um uh this fungus

00:41:13.500 uh in these ziploc i if i'm if i recollect what i was watching on television maybe it wasn't a ziploc bag

00:41:20.940 but that's clearly what it looked like uh that it was it was wrapped in plastic yeah and that they had

00:41:32.700 everything and so you wonder what would happen if that you know kind of exploded in his backpack

00:42:31.260 really shutter this thing or not well we are currently now enjoined um you know by by uh by by

00:42:40.780 district court i think it's a district court uh that it said that we could not uh proceed any longer

00:42:47.020 uh not only did it enjoin uh shutting down the president's executive order to shut down education

00:42:53.260 but uh it is enjoying some of the actions that we have taken even actually before i got here which

00:42:59.100 were reducing staff at the department of education said that we now have to rehire all of those people

00:43:04.620 um and it's just it's a crazy kind of injunction i believe we will prevail uh at the supreme court but

00:43:10.860 right now we can continue to think about programs uh you know and maybe think about planning relative

00:43:19.740 to uh returning education to the states but actual actions we are um in a pause at this particular

00:43:26.620 moment due to this injunction i mean you you came from the private sector you're a self-made you know
