00:02:40.420 You know, when we were writing the Overton window, I found this poem from Rudyard Kipling,
00:02:46.000 which has been an absolute favorite of mine ever since.
00:02:50.800 I had never heard it before.
00:02:52.060 It's only published in one book, and it's because it's a warning against the progressives,
00:02:58.620 or in his case, the Fabian socialists.
00:03:00.360 And I remember reading it and thinking, wow, look what's coming.
00:03:08.640 And now, almost all of it has been done.
00:03:12.660 Just to show you where we are in this cycle that Kipling saw back around World War I
00:03:20.060 and then put into a poem to remind people it's going to come again.
00:03:24.880 It's called The Gods of the Copybook Headings.
00:03:27.180 And copybook headings used to be, you know, things that were up at the top of your writing book
00:03:33.560 when you used to have to practice penmanship.
00:03:36.620 And it would be in cursive, and it would say, you know, God is good, water will wet, fire will burn,
00:03:45.320 things that were all true, and everybody knew they were true.
00:03:48.780 Those were called the copybook headings.
00:03:50.340 And he warned of a time when all of those things that everybody knows is true is destroyed and lost.
00:04:02.540 And I just want you to, and then he predicts how it ends.
00:04:05.200 Let me just read this to you again.
00:04:06.980 And just, Pat, notice how much we may not have even understood.
00:04:12.060 There's a couple lines in here I don't think I really understood until recently.
00:04:16.340 Recently, as I pass through my incarnations in every age and race,
00:04:22.360 I make my proper prostations to the gods of the marketplace.
00:04:27.440 Peering through reverent fingers, I watch them flourish and fall.
00:04:31.860 And the gods of the copybook headings, I notice, outlast them all.
00:04:35.500 So, as you're watching what man is doing in the market and everything else,
00:04:40.920 it just, mistakes are made and it just keeps going, but truth outlasts.

00:06:16.820 that is building a world on hoping that those things are just gone and out of touch.

00:07:11.620 and then that same side is the one trying to take your weapons away from you.

00:07:24.560 But when we disarmed, they sold us and delivered us bound to our foe.

00:08:57.300 how it went to buy, you know,

00:09:01.620 and all kinds.
00:09:02.580 Nobody saved that money.
00:09:04.040 Nobody really saved and spent that money
00:09:06.140 on anything that was rational or reasonable.

00:11:56.900 but when he found out that he was going to be deployed

00:12:06.500 Now, he was the top of his battalion,
00:12:09.900 the highest serving recruit.
00:12:12.760 And when you're training to go into war,

00:13:02.480 the 10 craziest things that Tim Walz did

00:13:08.640 while he was in office as the governor of Minnesota.

00:13:14.240 it says that he was giving his daughter
00:13:17.620 and others the location of the National Guard
00:13:21.620 so these people who were burning down the cities
00:13:24.400 could avoid trouble with the National Guard.
00:13:27.600 This guy has not only sold his own troops out,
00:13:34.860 he then sells the country and the National Guard out
00:13:38.520 and tells people how to get around the National Guard.
00:13:41.980 And then he steals the honor
00:13:43.960 of people who actually served
00:13:46.700 and claims that he was carrying a gun in a war zone.
00:13:51.540 That never happened.

00:13:56.020 And yet, what's happening,
00:13:58.280 they are making all of it sound true
00:14:03.300 and dismissing anyone who says that that's not true,

00:17:26.240 as a mix of extremists and hooligans.
00:17:30.640 Why did the anti-immigration riots
00:17:32.420 not explode first in France or Germany,
00:17:34.820 they ask?
00:17:35.900 Some of the coverage has been superficial.
00:17:38.060 The editorial Le Mans read,
00:17:39.660 the current riots raise painful questions
00:17:41.540 of the underestimated influence
00:17:43.260 of the far right in the UK.
00:17:46.500 So they're not questioning the policies.
00:17:48.740 They're not questioning the governments.

00:17:52.140 how they are not listening to their own people.
00:17:55.140 Instead, it is the influence of the far right.
00:17:59.540 The German tabloid published a more in-depth
00:18:02.820 and honest analysis of the riots on Tuesday.
00:18:05.460 Can something like that happen to us in Germany?

00:18:10.660 and there was a general consensus
00:18:12.040 from the cross-section of experts
00:18:13.800 that were asked to speak in the paper.
00:18:16.100 An extremist researcher explained,
00:18:20.460 there are various far right organizations in Germany
00:18:23.400 full of angry men
00:18:24.820 who definitely have a mobilization capacity.
00:18:28.840 Now, let me ask you,
00:18:30.700 is this a new thing
00:18:32.460 that there's all kinds of right-wing crazy nut jobs in Germany?
00:18:37.320 Is this a new thing
00:18:40.200 that there are militias in America
00:18:42.820 or France or the UK?

00:18:49.120 What is galvanizing them into movement?
00:18:53.640 And why is it that normal people

00:20:12.980 who are kooks and they're all on the right.
