The Glenn Beck Program - Best of The Program ｜ Guests： Ami Horowitz & Herschel Walker ｜ 6⧸4⧸20

00:00:00.000 Hey, it's Pat Gray. Today on the Glenn Beck Radio Program, Ami Horowitz joined Glenn to talk about what he experienced while talking to rioters out on the streets.

00:00:09.360 Are these riots really for George Floyd or are they about something else?

00:00:14.900 We go over some of the news that George W. Bush just came out in support of Joe Biden.

00:00:21.420 Glenn also has a deep conversation with football great Herschel Walker, who recently came out against the Democrats and media for encouraging these riots.

00:00:31.980 Glenn asks if all lives matter is hurtful to black lives matter people.

00:00:37.660 And his answer just might surprise you.

00:00:40.120 And finally, Steven Crowder joins Glenn to talk about some of the things he's seen while out on the street.

00:00:45.160 All that and more on the podcast.

00:00:51.420 You're listening to the best of the Glenn Beck Program.

00:01:01.660 We have Ami Horowitz on and I want to before I get to him, I want to play a video that he just put out today.

00:01:09.840 And I want you to listen to this.

00:01:11.820 He went in to Minnesota and he was there at the protests.

00:01:16.880 Now, remember, Minnesota, the place where you just can't get justice because the attorney general is a radical leftist named Keith Ellison.

00:01:27.600 He's the attorney general.

00:01:30.100 So you can't imagine that justice would come under him.

00:01:33.960 Right.

00:01:34.800 So they're rioting.

00:01:36.840 And and here's what the people on the street told Ami.

00:01:41.340 Listen, the media narrative has been that the protesters and the violence are distinct.

00:01:46.400 But the vast majority of protesters that I spoke to went out of their way to justify in a non-socially distanced way, the anarchic orgy of violence.

00:01:56.700 We're attacking big known businesses like Apple, Boost, let's see, Target, Walmart, Best Buy. 1.00

00:02:05.760 All of that shit, Gucci, whatever the fuck y'all like, you better lock your door. 1.00

00:02:08.740 George Floyd. 1.00

00:02:09.000 This is us saying, hey, man, you're not giving it to us.

00:02:12.460 So we're going to take it.

00:02:13.940 Of course.

00:02:15.240 What do you expect them to do?

00:02:16.540 Google, Microsoft, all that that's all built up.

00:02:20.060 That's all slavery money. 0.96

00:02:21.680 If anybody's a thief, that's America.

00:02:23.840 So when we take it back or we burn it down, yeah, we're getting back what's ours.

00:02:27.740 You won't give it up.

00:02:28.380 OK, you ain't having it no more.

00:02:29.840 But it's not just large corporations that have been attacked.

00:02:33.800 In fact, many small businesses that have already been decimated by the coronavirus have been utterly destroyed. 0.98

00:02:39.980 If they didn't kill a black man, their stores wouldn't get burned down. 0.99

00:02:43.520 Do we have to burn it down to rebuild it without racism? 1.00

00:02:46.560 Yes.

00:02:47.680 Does that make sense?

00:02:48.780 That makes total sense.

00:02:50.460 Sometimes we got to act out.

00:02:51.680 It sucks that all this happened, that all the small businesses are getting burnt down.

00:02:55.300 But without that, where would we be?

00:02:57.000 This country was built on violence.

00:02:58.740 And when people had enough of the violence that y'all have against us and we give it back to y'all, y'all wouldn't be mad. 0.93

00:03:03.800 The FBI came here in three days because we're rioting, because we're tearing s*** up. 0.99

00:03:08.380 Shoot back. 0.99

00:03:09.140 You come for me, I'm coming for you. 1.00

00:03:10.720 Shoot back. 1.00

00:03:11.620 Point blank. 0.99

00:03:12.300 Should we defund the cops?

00:03:14.220 Yes.

00:03:14.440 Yes.

00:03:15.120 Definitely. 0.98

00:03:15.880 We should demolish them. 1.00

00:03:16.480 Now, you know, I think we should kill them, but you know, I think we should kill them. 1.00

00:03:22.840 Now, what's ironic is they're burning stores and talking about, you know, how companies like Apple are so evil, 1.00

00:03:28.620 except during the interview, all of them were holding an Apple iPhone.

00:03:33.380 So that's just how, you know, kept down they are.

00:03:39.280 Because everybody can afford an iPhone, of course, even the homeless and the downtrodden.

00:03:47.540 Let me go to Ami Horowitz.

00:03:49.420 Ami, in this, I see you stop violence against a man, an elderly man who was just trying to protect his house,

00:04:00.500 and you run in to stop it.

00:04:03.040 Is this somebody that you had talked to earlier?

00:04:05.040 No, it was a random guy who I'd never seen before, and he was simply an older gentleman, and he was,

00:04:15.500 his neighbor's homes had been vandalized and burned down the night before.

00:04:20.880 So he was just out there trying to deter people from doing the same thing to his house.

00:04:25.440 And this one young, and you know, look, I know it's a loaded term, but I don't care.

00:04:30.380 It's aptly descriptive.

00:04:31.860 A young thug took a, had a thick stick and began attacking the man and throwing stones at him.

00:04:39.160 And I just said, I, we got to stop this. 0.99

00:04:43.160 I mean, I'm going to kill this guy. 0.98

00:04:44.420 So I just ran there. 0.99

00:04:45.360 I grabbed him.

00:04:46.240 I grabbed, I pushed him back.

00:04:47.600 And luckily, he just turned around and left and didn't continue the attack, didn't press the attack.

00:04:53.280 But that is just emblematic of what I was seeing there.

00:04:57.540 I mean, that was a personal involvement I had, but writ large, the, look, there's a media narrative that's going around.

00:05:06.160 That is, the protesters are divorced from the rioters.

00:05:10.780 There's no connection between one and the other.

00:05:13.760 But the truth is, what I found is they're two sides of the same coin.

00:05:19.580 That, yeah, you know what?

00:05:21.100 They all, they're all preaching peace and love.

00:05:23.320 But when you scratch the surface and begin to ask the right questions, which by the way, I saw CNN, MSNBC, they're all there.

00:05:30.880 I heard them ask these people questions.

00:05:32.800 They didn't ask them the right questions at all.

00:05:34.860 They didn't ask them, do you support the violence?

00:05:37.740 Because they don't want to hear the answers.

00:05:39.500 Because when you ask them that question, the answer you get is ugly, really ugly.

00:05:45.820 Because not only do they support the violence and the rioting, they're supporting, look, more than once, the people I spoke to said they support killing cops.

00:05:55.980 It was, you know, it was funny.

00:05:56.800 When I was editing the piece, I didn't even notice it. 0.86

00:05:59.020 But this one woman was wearing a backpack that said, save a life, kill a cop. 1.00

00:06:06.440 It was scrawl on a wall, attack the cops. 0.88

00:06:10.540 We are losing control because we're allowing the sentiment to breathe.

00:06:17.440 We're allowing this ugly thought to metastasize.

00:06:23.140 And now it's becoming almost mainstream leftist, not liberal yet, but mainstream leftist thought that we have to attack the police and we have to burn down loot because, like the guy said it, hey, it's ours.

00:06:36.620 It was built on our backs as slaves.

00:06:38.700 So we're just taking back what's ours.

00:06:40.380 That's what I found there.

00:06:41.400 And it was ugly.

00:06:41.940 So, Ami, what you find there, you know, Mattis came out yesterday, and so did our Secretary of Defense, and said the Insurrection Act is not for these circumstances.

00:06:58.500 It must be much more dire than this.

00:07:00.580 I can't think of anything more dire than these riots continuing on our streets and for this poison to be continued to be spread.

00:07:14.480 Do you see a way around this other than if the governors won't do something, the feds have to?

00:07:25.120 If this continues unchecked, the answer is, of course, we have to.

00:07:30.160 Now, I will say the good news is it does seem to be petering out, and I have to say this, that the National Guard, at least in Minneapolis, did an absolutely phenomenal job.

00:07:42.360 They were there in force, and look, it is jarring to see on American streets APCs and Humvees and guys on top of these vehicles with machine guns.

00:07:53.380 It's jarring.

00:07:54.660 But these guys did an absolutely phenomenal job.

00:07:58.820 Now, Minneapolis was on the verge of being burnt down completely, and they really put a stop to it.

00:08:04.400 And also, this BS that you hear, that they keep attacking innocent protesters who aren't doing anything, it's just a total lie.

00:08:12.480 I saw these guys stand around, right, these brave soldiers stand around as things were being thrown at them.

00:08:20.740 And as long as they didn't feel their lives were being threatened, they allowed them, they contained them.

00:08:26.360 And frankly, I thought they gave them too much leeway, to be honest.

00:08:29.160 But they were very approachable.

00:08:30.900 They were humble.

00:08:32.080 They were nice.

00:08:33.100 They just wanted to protect the streets, and they did exactly that.

00:08:36.120 So, and remember, look, the police, we'd love to have the police be able to handle all these actions.

00:08:41.960 But the reality is the police, the thin blue line is just stretched too thin.

00:08:46.840 That's just the reality of it, because these guys are out in force.

00:08:50.000 So, no, look, we have to do whatever we have to do to be able to stop this.

00:08:54.880 And I love how the media keeps saying, oh, my God, this thing is never used.

00:08:59.100 If he brings this out, he's becoming a despot.

00:09:03.020 I mean, this thing has been used relatively recently, by the way.

00:09:06.600 In fact, George Bush was going to use them for Katrina.

00:09:10.440 So, the lies that are being spouted by the mainstream media, it really makes me sick.

00:09:18.740 It really makes me sick.

00:09:22.280 So, I had a thought, Ami, on Keith Ellison today.

00:09:26.880 You know, Keith Ellison just upped the charges from third-degree murder to second-degree murder.

00:09:32.320 The closer you get to first-degree murder, the harder it is because of intent and forethought.

00:09:41.960 Second-degree murder seems like maybe, maybe.

00:09:46.740 Third-degree murder, absolutely.

00:09:48.960 Manslaughter a piece of cake.

00:09:50.480 Do you, I mean, I'm struck by why these riots are happening when you have one of the most radical leftists as the attorney general in Minnesota that is not going to, he's going to make sure justice, whatever that may be, is being done.

00:10:08.420 There's no doubt that Keith Ellison will be on the side of the protesters.

00:10:14.560 Why are these happening in Minnesota?

00:10:18.740 And where's Keith Ellison coming out and saying, hey, no need to, we're going to take care of this?

00:10:25.240 And the other is, is there a possibility that Keith Ellison is getting close to the wire because an innocent verdict would be just a nightmare around election time?

00:10:46.780 Well, I think, first of all, they better be really careful.

00:10:55.100 The nightmare scenario would be that they overreach, which, by the way, second-degree murder may be an overreach.

00:11:01.560 Look, I'm not a legal expert, but I do know what the donations are between the three.

00:11:05.700 It might be.

00:11:06.560 But the point is, do you really want to play with that?

00:11:09.300 Do you really want to take the chance that this guy, I mean, if he gets off,

00:11:13.940 it'll make Ferguson look like party time.

00:11:17.280 And by the way, I was at Ferguson.

00:11:18.960 It's one of the scariest times of my life, okay?

00:11:22.260 It'll be patty cake if they overreach on what they're trying to do if these guys get off.

00:11:28.080 But you have to understand, Keith Ellison, I mean, you said it, he's not just a radical leftist.

00:11:31.760 Keep in mind, and also it's emblematic of how far left the Democrats have gone.

00:11:35.880 Keith Ellison, who is going to be the DNC chair, right?

00:11:39.880 I remember that.

00:11:40.980 And the DNC were so alarmed, they actually had to do their backroom dealings like they always do

00:11:45.940 and make sure he didn't get the job.

00:11:48.800 But now he's Attorney General of Minnesota, which again points to another interesting fact

00:11:54.080 that we've been talking about, is that this is all happening in blue states, right?

00:11:58.320 And not in red states.

00:11:59.440 And why is that?

00:12:00.600 It's because we have played in to this false victimization that everybody tries to claim.

00:12:08.240 We've played in to the fact.

00:12:10.520 And they've said it for years.

00:12:12.000 You reap what you sow.

00:12:13.320 Capitalism is evil.

00:12:14.860 Capitalism is the root of all our problems.

00:12:17.200 So are you really, really that surprised when they're trying to revolt against capitalism in your state?

00:12:22.300 Because that's exactly what's happening here.

00:12:24.120 So, yeah, they've got to be very careful because this is all going to be a practice for the game.

00:12:34.600 And the game is going to be, if these guys overreach and he gets off, that's when things are really going to come to a head

00:12:41.700 and we're going to have a real problem in our heads.

00:12:43.320 That's what I fear, because that would be a radical's brilliant move, is to go for the gold when it really doesn't exactly fit

00:12:57.680 and then have it played right straight down the line for actual justice and then have this guy acquitted.

00:13:06.860 Then what happens?

00:13:07.560 Make no mistake, they are waiting for this.

00:13:10.720 They are waiting in the wings for exactly that to happen.

00:13:13.500 Nobody was cheering more when they kept upping what they were charging him with than the leftist radicals.

00:13:19.920 And by the way, there is a lot of truth.

00:13:22.720 And I spent a lot of time with Antifa, so I know these guys.

00:13:25.200 There's a lot of truth to the fact that Antifa is very involved in this.

00:13:29.180 They've been waiting for this moment and they're out in force.

00:13:32.560 I would estimate that probably 15% to 20% of the protesters and rioters were all Antifa folks.

00:13:38.700 They're out there, it's organized, and they're waiting for this to be their moment.

00:13:45.240 So we've got some serious problems here.

00:13:47.900 I want to thank Patriot Mobile.

00:13:49.280 In addition to their generous support of Mercury One during these troubled times,

00:13:52.440 Patriot Mobile has gone above and beyond to help Americans stay in touch with their loved ones during this lockdown.

00:13:59.520 And they've done it by lowering their prices even further.

00:14:02.180 Right now, their U.S.-based team is standing by to design with you a customized family plan that can start at only $25.

00:14:10.780 Now, Patriot Mobile shares your values and they'll never charge you for hidden fees.

00:14:30.640 Switching is super easy.

00:14:31.840 Right now, when you join their family of freedom-loving Americans, they will waive the activation fee, plus send you a free gift with the offer code BECK.

00:14:38.960 That's 972-PATRIOT.

00:14:42.340 It's PatriotMobile.com slash BECK.

00:14:44.500 972-PATRIOT or PatriotMobile.com slash BECK.

00:14:47.900 Herschel Walker.

00:14:50.900 Legendary sports guy.

00:14:54.240 Did all kinds of sporting things.

00:14:57.660 Wow.

00:14:58.460 And I know none of them.

00:14:59.560 I know none of them.

00:15:00.480 I know him as my neighbor in Dallas.

00:15:04.340 Herschel, how are you, bud?

00:15:05.840 Hello there.

00:15:06.380 How are you doing?

00:15:08.300 I'm very good.

00:15:09.460 I'm very good.

00:15:10.120 I know you as the neighbor who actually stopped the ring of burglars that we were having in our neighborhood for a while because you had a very specific watch that was stolen from you, and it was found in some pawn shop, I think, in St. Louis.

00:15:28.120 And that's how they caught the guy.

00:15:29.160 So thank you for having your stuff stolen.

00:15:32.240 Well, I don't think you want to give it to me, even though I, you know, people don't realize that I work with law enforcement, been doing it for years.

00:15:39.860 My major in school is criminal justice.

00:15:41.640 But my wife, really, did watch peeing about, in Georgia, really, it peeing about 10 miles from my home. 1.00

00:15:49.400 And the first thing I thought about, which made me angry, and I'm sad I even thought about this, and I started thinking, did my family steal my watch?

00:15:57.480 And I was like, I cannot believe that.

00:15:59.360 Oh, my gosh.

00:16:00.260 And I was so hurt because, you know, I'm from a Christian home, and, you know, we're so close as a family, and for me to even think that, they could have done it because it peeing in Georgia. 0.54

00:16:10.400 And come to find out, it was a young man from Houston, Texas that did it.

00:16:14.160 Yeah, and they were quite relentless on getting in.

00:16:19.680 They went into one house in our neighborhood, and they spent two days in the house jackhammering a safe out of the floor.

00:16:27.300 I mean, it was crazy.

00:16:29.720 And that's right when I moved to the neighborhood.

00:16:31.180 I was like, oh.

00:16:31.800 I think this was his career.

00:16:34.260 He's been doing it for years, and it's sad because he also had good attorneys.

00:16:39.500 And he's out today, Glenn.

00:16:41.300 I probably want to tell you that he's out now.

00:16:43.920 You know, I've kept an eye on him to see what was going on with him and where he's at, and I know where he's at now and everything.

00:16:50.360 But that's our justice system. 0.99

00:16:52.400 You know, we have a different justice system than I believe in sometimes, but that's okay.

00:16:59.080 Herschel, talk to me about what you said the other day.

00:17:03.200 You said, I've had enough.

00:17:04.620 As we're watching these riots and we're watching our country come undone, and quite honestly, watching a media turn bad into good and good into bad, where we are now saying, you know, protests, they don't always have to be peaceful, and, you know, these are peaceful riots.

00:17:25.260 And nobody's holding anybody responsible.

00:17:28.420 You said, enough is enough.

00:17:29.960 Can you recap some of your thoughts?

00:17:32.400 You know, yes.

00:17:34.060 You know, I was sad because, you know, America, I love America.

00:17:39.460 I absolutely love America.

00:17:40.720 And, you know, I've spent the last 12 years working with our military on the behavioral health side trying to remove that stigma of mental health.

00:17:48.360 And I know our young men and women of service, you know, they're true heroes.

00:17:52.140 You know, they fight wars for us.

00:17:53.700 They die for us.

00:17:54.520 They sacrifice so much for us.

00:17:56.000 And our ancestors have done so much for this country to put us in a position we're in, that we have everyone from other countries who want to come here.

00:18:04.720 And yet.

00:18:05.060 Wait a minute.

00:18:05.360 Wait a minute.

00:18:05.680 Wait a minute.

00:18:06.040 Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.

00:18:07.360 You just said our ancestors did so much.

00:18:10.580 I've just spent the morning listening to protesters talk about how their ancestors were slaves.

00:18:16.520 And and and so what they're stealing today is to just a down payment on what built this country.

00:18:26.740 But you're a black man a little bit with that.

00:18:29.960 You know, people need to get back to history.

00:18:33.260 You know, slaves were not just African-Americans.

00:18:36.280 Slaves was a lot more than just African-American.

00:18:38.600 And people need to realize and start talking about ancestors.

00:18:41.380 Let's go back to the Indians. 0.99

00:18:42.800 Let's go back to the Native American. 0.96

00:18:44.340 So that's what people need to go back to.

00:18:46.100 And one of the things I think we become a society of, and I hate to say this, and I hate to call out any group, is when a group start thinking about something for free.

00:18:54.820 Hey, nothing is free in life.

00:18:56.100 You know, I have my Caucasian friend, my white friend, some of them, family, have worked as hard as I work to get in a position I'm in to do whatever they got to do.

00:19:04.840 And, you know, there's no doubt that you talk about African-Americans being slaves, but there was also other people that were slaves.

00:19:11.440 Let's talk about the, you know, let's talk about the Jewish.

00:19:13.840 Let's talk about, so let's not start looking back years ago, what happened years ago.

00:19:18.760 And I'm tired of people wanting a handout rather than a handout.

00:19:23.120 You know, and that was one reason I say I'm sick of this.

00:19:25.280 I'm sick of this that, you know, stealing and routing and beating people up has nothing to do with Florida, Aubrey, out of Georgia.

00:19:32.460 And, you know, yes, yes, it made me sad.

00:19:34.800 I was very sad to see that.

00:19:36.360 And there's no doubt I was upset with the police.

00:19:39.500 But I also know 99.9% of the police are not bad people.

00:19:44.200 You know, you do have a few bad apples in there.

00:19:46.160 The same as society.

00:19:47.400 You got society where good people are.

00:19:49.660 You got bad people.

00:19:50.460 But when you have leaders in this country, and I'm getting to our Congress, I'm getting to our senators, when you got leaders in this country that talks about things got to get better, things got to get better.

00:20:01.160 But yet they have been in Congress for years and they've done absolutely nothing.

00:20:05.720 But yet they run again.

00:20:07.180 They get elected again.

00:20:08.520 They continue to talk about this.

00:20:10.160 So people need to know the truth.

00:20:11.420 So don't talk about my ancestors was in slavery that you owe me something.

00:20:16.040 No, what I owe you is a hand up to help you out to make things equal for equal playing ground.

00:20:21.120 Because no one knows what happened 500 years ago.

00:20:25.800 You know, no one knows what happened with that.

00:20:27.640 But I know what's happening now.

00:20:29.240 I have white, blight, Native American, Asian American, all types of races that's fighting wars right now in the military for America.

00:20:39.380 So that's what we need to think about.

00:20:41.380 This is America.

00:20:42.260 And I told someone earlier, I said, I am tired of this Democratic right now.

00:20:46.240 I'm tired of this Republican right now because this country is at war.

00:20:50.720 This country is at war because you have people that, you know, I'm not just talking about African American. 0.98

00:20:55.380 When you watch this TV, you see just as much white out there doing this as you do black. 1.00

00:21:00.540 Well, when are we going to have a leader to step forward?

00:21:03.240 Well, we got a leader to step forward with a name by the name of Donald Trump.

00:21:06.720 But yet when he says something, that's when you see someone shows their head who's been hiding forever.

00:21:13.980 They've been hiding.

00:21:14.760 Also, when the president says something, they come out and they want to criticize.

00:21:18.740 And my point was, guys, if you're going to criticize, you need to stay on the sideline.

00:21:23.000 Let someone else step in at an interim right now because you don't want to represent yourself as a senator or congressman that say we have to stop this.

00:21:30.960 This can't be.

00:21:32.180 This is for America.

00:21:33.140 This has nothing to do with Democratic, nothing to do with Republican.

00:21:35.960 We are Americans, and we need to go with that first and put down laws that that's the way this country was built.

00:21:42.880 And you see the passion I have, and that's how much I love America.

00:21:47.620 I will tell you, Herschel, A, thank you for coming on the program sincerely.

00:21:52.960 We have the whole building.

00:21:54.560 I just don't know anything about sports, so I apologize for that.

00:21:56.820 But the whole building is thrilled that you're on with us today.

00:22:00.400 Everybody's big fans.

00:22:01.280 But you are – being this outspoken is not something – I mean, thank God it is becoming less rare than it was.

00:22:13.900 But being this outspoken, you are immediately a traitor to your race with the left, etc., etc.

00:22:20.860 And I'm so sick of all of this with you because it is – this is about our – I'm not asking for anything.

00:22:29.000 I support the police, and I support throwing the bad police, getting them fired, and if they deserve it, jail.

00:22:37.320 I don't want any of this to happen to anybody of any color.

00:22:40.280 The police are supposed to be serving and protecting us, not doing anything else.

00:22:45.160 So we're really on the same page.

00:22:47.360 But this has become more about destroy America, destroy the economy, and make everything socially equal through social justice.

00:23:00.920 This isn't about the Constitution.

00:23:02.860 And I don't know how politicians are standing on the sideline when people on the streets are saying,

00:23:08.380 this is about destroying America.

00:23:10.600 We have to burn it down to restart it. 0.97

00:23:12.800 That's insanity.

00:23:13.880 How do we reach those people?

00:23:16.600 You said something that is – you don't know how they're doing it, but I'm going to help you to understand that.

00:23:21.140 And that's why I said truth will set you free.

00:23:23.880 Since this administration has came into office, they have tried many things to throw him off base.

00:23:30.600 First, it was in Russia.

00:23:32.440 Then it was in impeachment.

00:23:34.040 And then it's the pandemic.

00:23:35.940 And now it's this.

00:23:37.240 But yet they continue to criticize.

00:23:39.160 And all I said is – you know what?

00:23:41.520 And I like Donald Trump.

00:23:43.240 People don't know, I started out with Donald Trump.

00:23:46.440 I knew Donald Trump before he became the Donald.

00:23:49.400 You know, he was my first boss I ever had.

00:23:51.920 And I said, guys, this is interesting.

00:23:54.680 If Biden win, the president said coming up, I will support him because he's the president.

00:23:59.700 And what's great about America is they gave me a right to choose to decide what I want to do.

00:24:05.300 That's why I spoke out against Biden when he said, if you don't vote for me, you're not black.

00:24:09.620 Well, I said, you know what's so funny about that is that's the reason they fought wars is give me that opportunity to decide who I want to vote for, to decide what I want to do.

00:24:18.220 And that's what made America beautiful.

00:24:19.960 Well, right now, people are upset because you like this, and if you don't like what I like, you're a racist.

00:24:25.980 Well, when they use that word, and I say our congress have used that word in the house, that someone is a racist, do they know what racist really is?

00:24:34.740 People were hung for that.

00:24:36.680 People were beat up for that.

00:24:37.860 People had dogs beating them for that. 1.00

00:24:39.800 That's what a racist is.

00:24:40.900 I know that.

00:24:41.520 I grew up in Georgia.

00:24:42.680 When things were getting better, do we have a long ways to go?

00:24:46.560 Yes, we do.

00:24:47.240 But we're a great country.

00:24:48.700 Yes, we are.

00:24:49.620 What is the reason everyone want to come to America?

00:24:52.740 Because it's better than where they came from. 0.98

00:24:54.340 And I even thought of something earlier today.

00:24:56.180 I said, you know what we can do?

00:24:57.820 Everyone that's so upset, that's so mad, and everyone first told me that if Donald Trump get into office, they'll leave in the United States.

00:25:05.440 But no one left.

00:25:06.680 Well, I want to throw something out.

00:25:08.760 I'm going to throw it out to all the airlines and to everyone that can travel.

00:25:12.420 If people don't like the United States today, they think it's so bad.

00:25:15.980 If we can give them a ticket and let them go wherever they want to go at.

00:25:20.920 Because that'll be fine.

00:25:22.620 I donate into it, and I want them to be happy.

00:25:26.160 I want them to be happy.

00:25:27.900 I will join you in that, and I will donate to that as well.

00:25:32.940 Well, that's what I want to throw out.

00:25:34.080 I want to throw it out.

00:25:34.940 We want to help them out.

00:25:37.460 Because I would not fight my white brother right now. 0.84

00:25:41.880 I will not fight him. 0.98

00:25:43.100 One of my biggest, and I'm going to throw it out.

00:25:44.900 One of my biggest, biggest friends, and he's like a brother to me, is a guy by the name of Francisco DeRos.

00:25:50.400 Francisco DeRos was the first Latino in America to play at the University of Georgia.

00:25:54.400 He became my big brother.

00:25:56.100 He would die for me, and I would die for him.

00:25:58.600 And right now, he has gone through just as much as I've gone through.

00:26:02.900 And it's like, guys, I have another friend.

00:26:05.700 I'm going to throw him out.

00:26:06.460 A guy from Van, Texas, named Todd Fowler, Todd Fowler and myself and Tony Dorsett were roommates at the Dallas Cowboys.

00:26:14.420 Todd Fowler is like a brother to me, and I'm going to be there, and I'll stand with him shoulder to shoulder.

00:26:19.060 And that's what I've told people today.

00:26:20.640 I said, guys, I will stand with the police shoulder to shoulder when they're doing the right things.

00:26:25.300 The same thing I'll stand with the protesters.

00:26:27.520 I'll stand shoulder to shoulder with you.

00:26:29.180 I'll shout as much as you want to shout.

00:26:30.680 But to become destroying, to become a thief, to become someone beating up, it is not right.

00:26:38.180 It needs to be called out for what it is.

00:26:40.340 And I think to call Floyd name, Aubrey name, even Mr. Dorn, a police officer who was black that was killed,

00:26:47.620 to put that name in this rioting, in this loot, all this stuff, is totally not right.

00:26:53.880 It's not fair.

00:26:55.400 You know, they're not of that.

00:26:56.580 We are better than this.

00:26:57.980 And our senators, our congresspeople need to come together and get with this president who is trying.

00:27:04.380 You know, this president is trying.

00:27:05.660 You know, people, the truth, let's hear the truth.

00:27:08.340 The truth is, in three years this president has been in office, and African-Americans need to hear this.

00:27:13.620 He's done more for African-Americans than the last four administrations that's been in.

00:27:18.460 Why don't they put things side by side and look at it?

00:27:21.520 Look at what he's done compared to what the other generation has done. 1.00

00:27:24.300 And I hear, and I know people are giving me about President, Vice President Biden.

00:27:30.200 And I say, I hear what he's going to do, and he's going to be so wonderful if he become president.

00:27:34.660 And I was sitting there, and I said, wait a minute, he was a senator for 20-some years or 30-some years,

00:27:39.480 and he was VP for eight years.

00:27:42.300 What did he ever do for the African-American?

00:27:45.700 You know, what law, what did he ever do for the African-American?

00:27:48.480 And I'm not saying you can vote for him, because that's what's great about America.

00:27:52.300 You have that choice.

00:27:53.700 But don't penalize me if I don't, because I think I want to see proof.

00:27:58.720 Well, if you've been in office for over eight years, you've done nothing.

00:28:02.020 Proof is you're not ready to serve the America.

00:28:04.840 I want you to do something.

00:28:06.600 Is that not what you're supposed to go there to Washington and do something?

00:28:09.780 One thing President Trump has done, he's raining his swamp, because we now know what's happening in Washington.

00:28:16.900 And I think that's what they're upset about.

00:28:18.920 The people now see what is really happening in Washington, and they don't like it.

00:28:26.360 This is the best of the Glenn Beck Program.

00:28:33.300 Herschel, let's get to your story that you're about to share,

00:28:35.720 and then I have a couple of questions on a couple of other topics.

00:28:39.360 Yes, you know, one of the things I was going to say to someone, and this is just from history,

00:28:43.920 I say, if you're in your upper 70s, I don't blame you if you're a racist.

00:28:49.460 And let me tell you the reason why, because, you know, racism isn't, you're not born being a racist.

00:28:55.080 You're taught that.

00:28:56.800 And if you're in your upper 70s, maybe your parents taught you a little bit about being a racist.

00:29:01.360 But anyone below, I said 70, they're in a world that has a lot of social media.

00:29:07.840 They're in a world that has a lot of television.

00:29:09.500 They're in a world that they see that what people say is not correct.

00:29:14.340 Well, when I was in college, you know, I was a decent football player.

00:29:18.920 When I was in college, after a game, we were walking across the parking lot at a game,

00:29:23.760 and I had the state troopers around me because everyone wanted an autograph.

00:29:27.000 There was an old white gentleman coming up to me.

00:29:29.820 He was coming up to me, and the state trooper was trying to keep him right,

00:29:33.600 to keep him from getting an autograph.

00:29:34.740 And I said, no, no, no, let him come up, let him come up.

00:29:36.560 And he came up, didn't want an autograph, but he took my hand and shook it.

00:29:41.840 And he said, Herschel, he said, I was one of the biggest clans running here in the state of Georgia.

00:29:48.100 And he said, but I want to tell you I'm sorry you changed my way of thinking.

00:29:51.840 And he walked away.

00:29:53.080 That's all he said.

00:29:53.880 And that touched me because I said he finally saw that, you know, we are all the same,

00:30:01.480 that we're not animals.

00:30:02.940 African-American are animals. 1.00

00:30:04.440 We're not. 0.99

00:30:04.800 We believe.

00:30:05.900 We hurt.

00:30:07.240 We love.

00:30:08.440 We're just like anyone else.

00:30:09.760 And that's the way all races are. 0.93

00:30:11.360 And that's why I said quit.

00:30:12.960 Quit.

00:30:13.340 I can't stand what's happening right now.

00:30:15.520 Herschel, what do you what do you think about Drew Brees and what what happened with him this week?

00:30:27.060 He said, I'm never going to agree with those taking a knee.

00:30:31.660 Well, here, let me play it.

00:30:32.960 Everyone is looking back now at Kaepernick's protests from a few years ago, and obviously

00:30:39.360 they were always about police brutality.

00:30:41.300 And now it's coming back to the fore.

00:30:43.060 And a lot of people expect that we will see players kneeling again, even when the NFL season

00:30:47.760 starts.

00:30:48.320 I'm curious how you think the NFL will and should respond to that.

00:30:51.980 And of course, you're such a leader in the league.

00:30:54.360 What is your responsibility as a leader in times like this for the rest of your teammates

00:30:59.260 and players in the league?

00:31:00.600 Well, I will I will never agree with anybody disrespecting the flag of the United States

00:31:08.520 of America or our country.

00:31:10.180 Let me let me just tell you what I see or what I feel when the national anthem is played.

00:31:16.620 And when I look at the flag of the United States, I envision my two grandfathers who fought

00:31:22.880 for this country during World War Two, one in the Army and one in the Marine Corps, both

00:31:27.960 risking their lives to protect our country and to try to make our country and this world

00:31:34.280 a better place.

00:31:36.020 So every time I stand.

00:31:37.340 So today he has come out, Herschel, and he has issued an apology for this stance.

00:31:45.680 Does that make sense to you?

00:31:47.440 No, it doesn't.

00:31:48.720 And let me tell you the reason why.

00:31:50.940 Why is people upset that he has an opinion?

00:31:54.100 You know, that, you know, just because he don't believe in what you believe in.

00:31:57.480 And why is people upset about that?

00:31:59.660 That's what's great about America is we got a right to choose.

00:32:03.060 And if that's the way he feels, it's OK that he feels like that.

00:32:06.800 You know, I said early on, my feelings were, you know, if you have a problem with, I don't

00:32:12.440 know whether to flag, I don't know whether that was the reason.

00:32:14.680 But if you want to kneel, you're at your job.

00:32:17.880 You know, I own chicken plants.

00:32:20.640 My thing is that people are going to kneel.

00:32:22.420 I can't sell any chicken, so my business goes out, I go out of business.

00:32:26.180 You know, it's not the right time to do it on your job.

00:32:30.020 And maybe they feel that that's the right time.

00:32:32.400 So I'm just shocked that people will be upset with him.

00:32:35.560 And now he has apologized because he has an opinion.

00:32:40.080 And that's what it's saying.

00:32:41.600 Why in the world can people not have an opinion today that they disagree with you?

00:32:45.860 And if you disagree with someone, Glenn, you're going to be called a racist.

00:32:49.400 If I disagree with someone, I'm going to be called an Uncle Tom.

00:32:53.140 And I'm like, geez, that means that I can't think for myself?

00:32:57.960 Can I not think for myself, please?

00:33:01.200 You know, that's the reason I think people fought years ago.

00:33:05.780 That's what Martin Luther King marched about.

00:33:09.560 That's what he marched about.

00:33:10.700 He marched about giving us a right to be equal.

00:33:14.280 And I even said early on, do we have a ways to go?

00:33:17.280 Yes, but have we come a long ways?

00:33:19.840 Yes, we have.

00:33:21.120 And that's why I think people need to look at and quit blaming someone else for what you have caused for yourself.

00:33:27.660 You know, everybody want to blame someone else.

00:33:30.040 Well, that's not right.

00:33:32.760 So a couple of days ago, Grant Napier, he is the Sacramento Kings NBA announcer, legend there, been there forever.

00:33:40.800 And he came out and he tweeted, all lives matter, every single one.

00:33:46.940 He's now been fired and is out of a job after years and an institution in that area.

00:33:54.880 Can you say all lives matter without saying black lives don't matter?

00:34:02.820 I mean, don't all lives matter?

00:34:05.200 Well, if you're a Christian, I hope all lives matter.

00:34:09.440 No matter what, I hope all lives matter.

00:34:12.600 You know, I'm confused why they would get upset about that.

00:34:15.660 But, you know, everybody want to be politically correct right now because they don't want to hurt anyone's feelings.

00:34:19.880 And I want to tell people out there who's going to be a leader, being a leader, everyone is not going to agree with you.

00:34:28.700 Being a leader, sometimes you've got to take a stand that a lot of people are going to be hurt.

00:34:32.340 But you know what?

00:34:32.900 It's got to be the right stand.

00:34:34.620 And I think that's what you have to realize.

00:34:37.560 But that's what I'm talking about.

00:34:39.140 Being a leader, sometimes you have to do things a lot of people disagree with.

00:34:43.860 Well, all he said is all lives matter, which to me, I'm a Christian.

00:34:48.320 And, you know, I've been blessed in my life, Glenn.

00:34:50.660 This is honestly true.

00:34:51.320 God has blessed me so much.

00:34:52.600 But I want to help others because, you know, he didn't just bless me to help myself, but he blessed me to help others.

00:34:58.020 Whether you're white, black, you know, when they shot, when, you know, people talk about, you know, Dorm, who was killed, the officer that was killed, he was a black.

00:35:07.600 But, you know, I almost shed a tear to see this little woman in New York where I saw those people out there beating her. 0.88

00:35:17.920 She was a little woman.

00:35:19.600 And they're beating her because she's trying to protect her company. 0.99

00:35:23.680 And they're beating her. 0.80

00:35:24.460 And you're going to tell me that it doesn't matter that, you know, I'm going to take what's mine and I'm going to beat her up.

00:35:29.460 You know, and I shed a tear when I saw the thing happen with Floyd.

00:35:34.240 You know, this is Hershel Walker telling you this.

00:35:35.960 I shed a tear because I said I'm hurt.

00:35:38.020 But then yet, because she's white and she's a little woman, I have grown men out there beating her because she's trying to protect her company that she's worked so hard to build. 1.00

00:35:49.480 The same thing happened when I saw an African-American man shouting at the protester, guys, I'm African-American.

00:35:56.880 Why do y'all tear my business up?

00:35:58.640 Why do y'all do this?

00:36:00.460 And yet we have people in Washington that does nothing.

00:36:04.320 And I'm saying that is what I'm talking about.

00:36:07.220 If I'm going to elect you into office, you got to stand up and be counted.

00:36:12.660 And during times like this, you're hiding.

00:36:14.860 And I don't think you need to be elected again.

00:36:16.600 And I don't think, and I'm going to be honest, and please forgive me for this.

00:36:20.040 Biden was hiding in his basement for years, for months.

00:36:23.740 And all of a sudden this happened.

00:36:25.020 He comes out to criticize the president of the United States.

00:36:28.000 Well, give me some solution.

00:36:29.360 Don't tell me what somebody else is doing wrong.

00:36:31.340 Tell me what you can do to correct this.

00:36:33.040 Have to go out on the streets because everyone says I want to march.

00:36:36.180 Go out on the streets when these people are looting.

00:36:38.420 Go out on the streets with these police officers that are dying, that people are doing it.

00:36:42.200 Be on the street with them.

00:36:43.120 And I told you, this is honest truth.

00:36:44.420 If they called me to go out there, I would go out there with them right now and help.

00:36:48.700 I would go out there right now and help if I can.

00:36:51.200 I would go out there and help and do what I can because I don't want to see America turning to these other countries that everybody is trying to leave.

00:36:59.820 I don't want to see America like that.

00:37:01.340 One last thing, Herschel, and I thank you for your bravery on everything that you've said today.

00:37:09.680 It's quite remarkable.

00:37:12.840 God, I've only had time for one more question.

00:37:15.020 Let me ask you this one.

00:37:16.620 We have to come back to God and we have fallen so far away.

00:37:27.540 We are.

00:37:27.940 We're not just we're not just leaving God out.

00:37:32.440 We are mocking him and and insulting and and we've really become in many ways anti God.

00:37:44.860 Do we survive if our churches and our and I'm when I say this, if the church and I mean that the way Christ used to talk about the church.

00:37:53.120 If the church doesn't come back and stand up for his laws and his rules and and his love thy neighbor kind of stuff and we don't recognize him.

00:38:08.460 Do we survive is what how big of a role does that play in saving America?

00:38:14.600 That plays a huge role.

00:38:16.520 I love the Lord Jesus Christ and I'm not telling anyone what to believe in, but I'm gonna tell you right now.

00:38:20.880 I was shocked that they would let liquor stores stay open.

00:38:25.220 But let's close the church.

00:38:27.720 TBD stay open, but let's close the church.

00:38:30.700 And what I mean by that is we want to get rid of God, but let's let Satan just run around.

00:38:35.200 I'm not saying liquor is Satan, but in my opinion, I never drank before.

00:38:38.660 I think it is.

00:38:39.880 Why do you need to be drinking?

00:38:41.140 You need to have God in your soul.

00:38:42.920 Then you realize to love thy neighbor.

00:38:45.120 You're one of the first thing God said was to love your neighbor.

00:38:48.140 Do unto your neighbor as you're like done unto you. 0.80

00:38:50.880 And my thing is, if we can't get back to God, you know, we're losing.

00:38:56.080 We don't get back to God.

00:38:57.160 We're losing.

00:38:57.760 You know, I one thing, Glenn, I know you got to go.

00:39:01.120 I never played a lawyer on TV.

00:39:03.840 I never I never went to law school.

00:39:05.900 But I was shocked when I saw celebrities say that we were paid a bond to bail out riders.

00:39:13.600 We'll pay the bond to bail out people that are protesting that go to jail for doing something wrong.

00:39:18.580 And I started thinking, I said, you know, is that not contributing to a crime?

00:39:24.260 So you're not just as guilty as that person that is contributing to a crime.

00:39:28.460 So if someone route coming to destroy my story and you pay for him to get out of jail, can I not sue you as well?

00:39:35.660 Because you told him to do it.

00:39:37.260 It's OK.

00:39:39.220 So but yet one thing that we have to do, and I know I shut up, is we got to now start like, you know, we let the Democrat get away with a lot.

00:39:49.480 They always throwing everybody in jail.

00:39:51.200 Well, we need to fight back a little bit now, meaning let's let's let's now figure out what's going on.

00:39:57.320 And now let's start throwing other people in jail that needed to go to jail and not just sit on our hands and knees, afraid to be called a racist, to be afraid to be called names, because Jesus Christ was crucified for telling the truth.

00:40:10.880 Herschel Walker, it is it's great to have you on an honor to have you on.

00:40:16.320 Thank you so much.

00:40:17.560 Thank you.

00:40:18.280 Thank you for everything.

00:40:21.200 Thank you.
