00:00:30.000 Big show today, Stu. Really, really big show.

00:00:33.120 On what network?

00:00:34.880 Yeah, I know. Well, not this one.

00:00:36.340 Right. Which one?

00:00:38.160 I'm telling you, right now, Megyn Kelly.

00:00:41.320 Oh, wow. I gotta check that out.

00:00:43.060 Yeah, well...

00:00:43.700 Actually, I think it's her show tomorrow that's huge.

00:00:46.600 Oh, really?

00:00:47.180 Which happens to be Halloween, and I will be appearing on it.

00:00:50.000 Really?

00:00:50.500 That's what everybody's talking about.

00:00:51.640 There was another show earlier this week that had some terrible guests on it.

00:00:54.600 Yeah, that would be me.

00:00:56.140 Oh, wow. Really?

00:00:57.400 I didn't really...

00:00:58.440 Anyway, let's just talk about this show.

00:01:00.480 It's the best of...

00:01:01.640 We have Bernie Moreno on, and all of the stats, everything that everybody's talking about

00:01:07.100 on the election is discussed in great detail on today's program.

00:01:13.040 You don't want to miss it.

00:01:15.020 First, let me tell you about the Berna Launcher.

00:01:16.840 As holiday's approach is essential to recognize the personal safety is a year-round priority,

00:01:22.100 crime tends to spike during this time of year, making it more critical to protect what matters most.

00:01:27.080 This holiday season, you should gift your loved ones with peace of mind by giving them something

00:01:32.040 that will keep them safe in situations where protection is needed, but life-ending violence isn't called for.

00:01:38.140 It is the Berna Launcher.

00:01:39.960 Stu just got this for Lisa.

00:01:42.780 Why you didn't save that as a Christmas present, I don't know.

00:01:45.780 I think it was a birthday, I think.

00:01:47.180 Oh, it was a birthday.

00:01:47.880 It was something. I used it for something.

00:01:48.980 Yeah, all right.

00:01:49.560 Good.

00:01:50.000 With wives, you just cannot waste a good present. 1.00

00:01:53.720 Maybe I'll give her a second one for Christmas, and then that one might be mine.

00:01:57.780 She'd love that if you gave it to her in a very, very, very expensive purse.

00:02:01.680 Yes, that's true.

00:02:02.400 She would.

00:02:02.760 A non-lethal alternative to safeguarding your home that will teach somebody a very painful lesson,

00:02:07.900 but non-lethal lesson.

00:02:09.600 It is legal in all 50 states.

00:02:11.280 No permits or background checks required.

00:02:13.280 It can be used by all age groups over 18.

00:02:15.360 It has powerful deterrents like tear gas and kinetic rounds with a 60-foot range.

00:02:20.620 Nobody dies, but you incapacitate an attacker for up to 40 minutes.

00:02:24.940 I don't know why every school in America doesn't have one of these locked in the teacher's drawers.

00:02:32.100 You could just go around the corner with your hand in the gun and shoot tear gas in the hallway where the predator is,

00:02:38.380 and he's down. 0.93

00:02:40.200 What are we thinking?

00:02:41.800 Berna Launcher.

00:02:42.480 Visit bernabyrna.com slash glenn for an exclusive 10% discount.

00:02:47.840 It's bernabyrna.com slash glenn.

00:02:50.680 Protect what matters most without compromise.

00:02:53.740 It's berna.com slash glenn.

00:03:05.740 You're listening to The Best of the Glenn Beck Program.

00:03:09.800 Welcome to the Glenn Beck Program.

00:03:12.480 We're glad you're here. 0.99

00:03:14.560 So yesterday, Biden said that the supporters of Donald Trump were garbage, and that's because a comedian on stage who is known for his destruction of everything he takes on said that there was a big floating garbage just off the eastern seaboard. 0.98

00:03:37.060 And he said it's called Puerto Rico. 0.99

00:03:40.540 Some people, especially on the left, didn't find that funny.

00:03:44.340 It may have been a lapse in judgment, but that's what he does.

00:03:49.880 But anyway, so how are people reacting to it?

00:03:54.220 We have the mayor of Keller, Texas.

00:03:56.400 He's a great mayor.

00:03:58.360 Armin Mizani is with us now.

00:04:00.600 You lived in Puerto Rico.

00:04:03.900 You grew up in Puerto Rico, born in Puerto Rico?

00:04:05.880 I did, Glenn.

00:04:06.360 I was born and raised in Puerto Rico, lived there for the first nine years of my life.

00:04:10.000 Yeah.

00:04:10.240 Quite interesting.

00:04:11.640 My father's Iranian, left in the late 70s, met my mom, who was born in Puerto Rico.

00:04:16.700 Her parents are both Cuban.

00:04:18.340 And of all places, I met in Kansas.

00:04:21.900 But I was-

00:04:23.600 That's impossible.

00:04:24.800 What are the odds of this?

00:04:26.920 But born and raised in Puerto Rico, and obviously, Puerto Rico is a beautiful island, beautiful people.

00:04:31.600 If you've been there-

00:04:32.320 Yeah, it's great.

00:04:33.020 You'll know firsthand.

00:04:34.580 And it's just a great culture.

00:04:37.120 And one of the things that really, obviously, bothered me when, you know, I think what's wrong currently with its Democrat politics or the political class or the media classes, I think they've taken Latinos and minority voters for granted for a long time.

00:04:56.380 And Latinos, like the millions of Americans that make up this country, care about the core principles that you and I care about.

00:05:02.140 Yeah, I know.

00:05:02.440 Just faith, family, economic opportunities.

00:05:03.980 They've said that forever. Latinos should be voting Republican just based on their family values.

00:05:09.700 100%.

00:05:09.980 100%.

00:05:10.620 Right. And so now it's starting to happen, right?

00:05:13.340 Absolutely. I mean, you see the polls.

00:05:15.760 You know, Latinos by large numbers now, Donald Trump and J.D. Vance are surging in the polls amongst Latinos.

00:05:23.420 And it's no surprise when you've got two candidates in Kamala Harris and President Trump who now have a track record.

00:05:31.060 We've got four years that we can look back to.

00:05:33.780 And so for many of Latinos, like the millions of Americans that make up this country, we see that.

00:05:39.400 We see the rise of inflation.

00:05:41.160 We see an open southern border.

00:05:43.080 When you go to the grocery store, you're paying 50% more for a lot of these goods.

00:05:47.780 Airfare, call it insurance, whatever you want to call, we see what's happening.

00:05:52.260 And so for many of us, it's how can we provide for our family?

00:05:56.220 How can we put food for the table?

00:05:57.440 And when you look at the policies of President Donald Trump, it's clear why he's surging in the polls amongst Latinos and minorities.

00:06:03.880 Yeah, I can't – and I don't understand the strategy of Harris.

00:06:10.620 Even Bernie Sanders came out and said, yeah, she's got to talk about the economy. 1.00

00:06:14.760 It's always the economy, stupid. 1.00

00:06:17.320 And she's not talking about it at all. 1.00

00:06:20.420 She's not because she doesn't want to talk about it.

00:06:22.400 Yeah.

00:06:22.720 Right?

00:06:22.900 And she can't talk about it. 0.99

00:06:24.780 And you saw what happened yesterday with President Joe Biden calling half of Americans essentially garbage. 0.99

00:06:31.580 Right. 0.96

00:06:32.040 So unlike President Trump, who did not, it was a comedian who had a bad joke.

00:06:35.340 I didn't care for the joke.

00:06:37.140 But I will tell you, I think we can live in a world where you can either be for or against a joke and still realize that at the end of the day, it's about the policies that will impact us on a daily basis.

00:06:46.820 Correct.

00:06:46.940 So how did Puerto Ricans take that joke? 0.98

00:06:50.760 Because honestly, I don't think I even understand the joke.

00:06:53.880 Do you still?

00:06:54.940 Yeah.

00:06:55.360 I mean, he's trying to make a reference to what the supposed – which, by the way, does not exist – floating island of garbage in the –

00:07:01.060 Yeah, I get that part, but I don't understand the comparison. 0.98

00:07:03.980 I mean, I think the thought – the accusation would be he's just calling Puerto Ricans garbage. 0.89

00:07:08.960 I think that's what they're – is that how you took it? 0.97

00:07:11.160 I will tell you, I – so personally, I was not offended because as a Puerto Rican, I've been there and I know it's such a great island.

00:07:18.080 Right.

00:07:18.260 And the people are great.

00:07:18.980 And so I did not take offense.

00:07:20.580 This comedian vacations on this island.

00:07:22.760 He does not actually believe this.

00:07:24.200 Right.

00:07:24.880 It was – he was going for a joke.

00:07:26.280 Like, you know, maybe it was a bad idea at a political rally, but he's a roast comedian.

00:07:30.360 Right, right, right.

00:07:30.620 But I will say, I mean, I was in Puerto Rico two months ago.

00:07:33.000 And I'll tell you what's on Puerto Ricans' minds.

00:07:34.920 It's the fact that on any given day, you can't account for the fact of whether or not your power is going to be on.

00:07:40.820 That's a fact.

00:07:42.420 You know, with the power grid there, that's an issue.

00:07:44.780 You can't account for the fact that the infrastructure is not where it's supposed to be.

00:07:48.900 I mean, there are potholes where there shouldn't.

00:07:51.500 And so, frankly, what, in my opinion, is garbage is it's the fact that you've got a government in Puerto Rico that should be attending to its people, great people.

00:08:01.580 But you saw it with the hurricane that happened back in 2017. 0.94

00:08:04.900 Horrible.

00:08:05.340 It's a misallocation of funds.

00:08:07.300 Oh, yeah.

00:08:07.840 And so I think a lot of Puerto Ricans, to answer your question, Glenn, are awakening to that fact.

00:08:13.220 And you see change actually happen within Puerto Rico, within their government.

00:08:16.860 And that's what I'm attesting to is Latinos in the U.S. who are voting in these elections see those things, whether you're Puerto Rican or Mexican descent, whatever minority you are or wherever you come from, minorities see that.

00:08:31.460 And Puerto Ricans see that.

00:08:33.120 And I think you're going to see in Puerto Rico some change amongst the internal governance.

00:08:38.560 But here in the U.S., again, that is why President Donald Trump, rightfully so, is surging in the polls.

00:08:44.240 So I've always thought that Hispanics were being grossly misjudged by the Democrats because they live conservative lives.

00:08:56.400 They're Christians.

00:08:57.560 They're strong, strong families, good values.

00:09:02.120 I mean, the Hispanics that I know make us stronger because they're living, quite honestly, the way a lot of us in America used to live or should be still living.

00:09:12.040 And the they've always pandered to the left is always pandered to the Hispanics by by saying, you know, we need to bring more illegals in.

00:09:22.300 That just doesn't that never seemed right to me because the people who that I know that are Hispanic that moved here, they spent like 10 years trying to get citizenship.

00:09:31.540 They understand the value of that citizenship.

00:09:34.740 Did they overplay their hand on this?

00:09:36.900 Have they just completely severed that now?

00:09:39.320 Absolutely, in my opinion, and you're right.

00:09:42.100 It's identity politics.

00:09:43.300 Unfortunately, for whatever reason, if you look, if you go issue by issue, again, we talked about faith and family.

00:09:48.600 I come from a family where I'm the oldest of five boys raised by mom and dad who are strong Christians.

00:09:54.800 For us, putting God above all, this comes first.

00:09:57.980 Right.

00:09:58.180 But that is for every Hispanic family.

00:10:01.400 And I think they have taken us for granted.

00:10:04.400 And they did overplay their cards.

00:10:09.840 But the good news is Latinos, Hispanics, minorities are awakening to it and have seen through it. 1.00

00:10:16.520 And again, it's, you know, the numbers for Donald Trump as far as the Latinos, it's historic. 0.90

00:10:21.660 When you look back at presidential cycles, probably the best comparison is maybe George Bush, but Donald Trump is actually pulling better than that.

00:10:30.020 And so I think it's going to mean well for November 5th.

00:10:33.840 So what does Donald Trump bring to the table that other Republicans haven't?

00:10:41.840 Why is he?

00:10:42.900 Have any theories on this?

00:10:44.500 Why he's cutting through with minorities like he is?

00:10:47.900 I think oftentimes in government, what happens is you get people that run for office and say they're going to do certain things.

00:10:53.960 And when they get in office, they don't.

00:10:55.640 They don't.

00:10:56.700 Donald Trump, whether you like the man or not, said he was going to do certain things when he ran.

00:11:03.660 And when he got into office, he did those things.

00:11:06.200 And I think for President Donald Trump, that is what bodes well with Latinos and with minorities, is you're doing what you say you're going to do.

00:11:13.080 For the millions of people that have come to this wonderful country legally, Donald Trump has been clear.

00:11:20.060 We want to open up the doors for legal migration, but you have to have a country that abides by our laws.

00:11:26.940 Otherwise, you have no country at all.

00:11:29.040 And I think for the many migrants and legal immigrants that have come here, they see that and they say, it is not fair for us to have gone through.

00:11:36.700 I've got family members, whether from my Iranian culture or that have come here, but did it the right way. 1.00

00:11:43.960 And I think for many of us, we look at what's happening in our southern border and we say, that is not fair.

00:11:49.780 That is not right.

00:11:51.120 And you, being from Iranian descent, know that the Iranians that are coming across now, not the Iranians that you would like to have come across the border. 0.99

00:11:57.800 Well, you've got to vet everybody, right?

00:11:59.020 You've got to vet everybody.

00:12:00.240 And if you look at southern border, you see where some of these folks are coming.

00:12:02.940 And they're coming from do not travel countries.

00:12:04.740 Right.

00:12:04.940 And so that is concerning.

00:12:07.440 But I will tell you, I think for the many folks that are coming here and doing it the right way, you know, the biggest concern also, one of the concerns actually is for the folks that are here illegally, they're unaccounted for, undocumented.

00:12:19.480 And frankly, if you really kind of break it down and look at its core, it's not right for them because they're essentially living in the shadows.

00:12:26.400 Correct.

00:12:26.680 And so if we can have a process where we can continue to promote all the great things the country is with illegal immigration, 1.00

00:12:33.500 but at the same time address what's wrong with illegal immigration.

00:12:37.480 And that's what Donald Trump has done.

00:12:39.240 So do Hispanics generally, like Cubans, are very clear about communism? 0.96

00:12:47.280 Yes.

00:12:47.520 But Mexico, they just elected a communist, and Central America has communism running through it.

00:12:55.860 Do Hispanics, when they get here, the kind that do it the right way, do they recognize the roots of communism and, like Cubans, say, uh-uh, we've seen this movie before? 1.00

00:13:07.660 They do.

00:13:08.660 I mean, in Texas, we've got a great senator in Ted Cruz who talks about that, who's got an election of his own, and so I want to encourage everybody to support him as well.

00:13:18.700 Yes, please.

00:13:19.160 But he's talked about the fact that if we can't protect what we have here in America, then where do we flee to?

00:13:26.980 Where do we go to?

00:13:28.140 And for all those reasons, it's why, again, many Hispanics, many minorities, I think in this cycle more than any, have paid attention to the policy, not to the rhetoric.

00:13:38.140 We don't want to be taken for granted anymore, which I believe we have in many years past.

00:13:43.600 And so we are awakening to it, and we're looking past some of this rhetoric, and a joke is not going to motivate us.

00:13:50.520 Again, faith, family, economic opportunity, that's what's going to motivate us.

00:13:53.980 Right.

00:13:54.080 And I think that goes for all minorities.

00:13:57.020 Thank you so much, and I wish I lived in your town because you're cutting taxes like crazy.

00:14:01.700 I can't take, you know, in my town, they built, well, the firehouse.

00:14:05.980 Yes.

00:14:06.240 The firehouse, I think they expected Jesus to arrive in.

00:14:09.700 Right.

00:14:10.080 It was like a $13 million firehouse.

00:14:13.700 Yes.

00:14:14.020 And when they did the opening of it, all my neighbors went through, and they're like, this is great.

00:14:18.340 And I said, this is great.

00:14:19.940 This is better than any of our homes.

00:14:22.460 And it came from your tax dollars.

00:14:24.500 What are you talking about?

00:14:25.900 Yeah.

00:14:26.460 Oh, it drives me nuts.

00:14:27.660 Well, no, I appreciate it.

00:14:28.220 I appreciate that.

00:14:28.840 Yeah, but thank you very much.

00:14:30.000 I appreciate what you do.

00:14:31.060 Thank you.

00:14:31.420 Mayor Armin Mizani is with us, mayor of Keller, Texas.

00:14:37.680 Right now, we're in the fight for our lives when it comes to the future of this country.

00:14:40.920 And part of that understanding has got to be all of the babies that we're killing and celebrating their death.

00:14:50.560 So many are celebrating their death.

00:14:52.280 We're in the fight for their lives as well as ours.

00:14:56.080 We have to change the hearts and minds in this country.

00:14:58.700 That's why I'm proud to be partnering with Preborn.

00:15:02.080 Every day, they sponsor a free ultrasound for women that walk in, as well as providing them for up to two years after the baby's born with everything they might need.

00:15:12.980 When a mom sees her unborn child on that monitor, she hears the heartbeat, she's twice as likely to choose life for the baby.

00:15:20.760 That's how they're saving 200 children every single day with help from people like you and me.

00:15:26.420 Now, $28 is tax deductible, and it goes to afford one ultrasound.

00:15:31.020 If you have the means, you could save babies in a big way.

00:15:34.900 $5,000 will cover their entire U.S. network for a day, 24 hours.

00:15:41.760 You'll save 200 babies.

00:15:43.900 Dial pound 250, say the keyword baby, pound 250, keyword baby, or preborn.com slash Beck.

00:15:49.680 Now, back to the podcast.

00:15:53.040 You're listening to the best of the Glenn Beck Program.

00:15:59.180 Bernie Moreno is on with us now.

00:16:01.760 He is running for the Senate seat in Ohio.

00:16:06.720 It looks like he is now, can you say this, Stu?

00:16:10.060 Is he now ahead?

00:16:11.200 It is so close.

00:16:12.380 It is a very, very close race, but he's doing pretty well.

00:16:15.200 Welcome, Bernie.

00:16:15.960 How are you?

00:16:17.280 Thank you for having me.

00:16:18.160 We're up three points, but the entirety of the Ohio media is on the side of Sherrod Brown.

00:16:24.240 So we take nothing for granted.

00:16:25.860 We're going to leave it all in the field, and we're going to work our tails off for the next six days.

00:16:28.920 I have to tell you, if Sherrod Brown wins, it's going to be because of the, you know, that Republican Trump supporter.

00:16:36.380 It's like, you know, I voted for Trump, but I also voted for Sherrod Brown because, you know, he's all about the border.

00:16:42.900 I saw the ads with him and Donald Trump together.

00:16:45.960 He works across the aisle, and he's not AOC.

00:16:49.400 He's strong on that border.

00:16:50.560 He's one of the good ones.

00:16:51.840 He's an independent thinker.

00:16:54.180 How would you say to those people?

00:16:56.480 If you believe that, man, you are in deep trouble for a fraud perspective.

00:17:03.040 This is a guy who voted against President Trump 100% of the time when it mattered.

00:17:07.960 He said the border wall was racist.

00:17:10.080 You've never heard that before. 1.00

00:17:11.260 The border wall is stupid. 1.00

00:17:12.660 He said the immigration situation is a right-wing conspiracy theory, right? 1.00

00:17:18.060 So there's a guy on the other side of the equation that voted with Kamala Harris and Joe Biden 100% of the time when it mattered.

00:17:24.460 But, of course, it's election year, so now he can go on TV and just lie.

00:17:27.920 You know, lying is legal in politics, unfortunately.

00:17:30.800 You know, you said, notice how he plays with words here, Stu.

00:17:34.320 He said 100% when it matters, when the real number is 99% all of the time.

00:17:40.540 Well, he hides out in the cloakroom to wait for the ballots to be counted.

00:17:46.900 If it's a vote that doesn't matter, he'll jump in and vote against Biden to kind of lower his score a little bit.

00:17:52.080 But, look, the guy is the most reliable vote for the left-wing agenda in this country.

00:17:57.220 He would be probably a little liberal for representing Massachusetts or California.

00:18:02.280 He's just way too liberal for Ohio.

00:18:04.740 So how is that happening?

00:18:05.660 He's been in office for 50 years, not as the Senate, but in public office in Ohio for 50 years.

00:18:14.920 How does this keep happening?

00:18:16.980 Well, first of all, he majored in Russian studies at Yale and went into office when Richard Nixon was in the White House.

00:18:22.620 The way it keeps happening is because for five years he goes to D.C.

00:18:26.120 and he's AOC and Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren.

00:18:28.800 And then on election year, there's this magical transformation when he leaves Reagan Airport and lands in Cleveland Hopkins.

00:18:35.320 And all of a sudden he becomes a regular working class diff. 0.93

00:18:38.380 He messes up his hair, puts an ill-fitting suit on, puts on a gravelly voice, and he pretends he's a working man.

00:18:44.360 He's never had a job in the private sector ever.

00:18:47.940 This guy doesn't have any idea about the dignity of work.

00:18:50.600 He's never actually done it.

00:18:52.140 So, look, we're exposing him.

00:18:53.800 It's a difference.

00:18:54.800 This is the most expensive non-presidential election in American history.

00:18:59.040 We're using our resources to make sure people understand his voting record.

00:19:02.360 And it's just too liberal for Ohio.

00:19:04.080 What are the most important areas in Ohio where you're seeing a need for people to get out and make sure they're knocking on doors?

00:19:13.980 We are knocking on 150,000 doors a week.

00:19:17.540 We have a get-out-the-vote and ballot-chasing operation that is unprecedented in Ohio history.

00:19:23.140 We focus on that.

00:19:23.940 Remember, I was in the retail automotive business.

00:19:25.680 We're using business practices to focus this election on voter turnout.

00:19:30.280 So, if we know you voted, we take you off our list.

00:19:34.060 If we know you haven't voted, we knock on your door.

00:19:36.560 We call you.

00:19:37.120 We text you.

00:19:37.500 We even have your neighbor call you.

00:19:39.760 That's how sophisticated our operation is.

00:19:41.820 And we're having great results.

00:19:43.400 Republicans are voting at 50% higher clip than Democrats in this election.

00:19:47.280 Now, that actually should be good because Republicans notoriously vote on the last day.

00:19:56.020 We still won't know what's happening.

00:19:58.120 But if your turnout is that good in the days leading up to the election, and then there's still more Republicans that turn out than Democrats on election day, it's pretty much in the bag, is it not?

00:20:10.700 We feel really confident we can get this race closed out by 8 o'clock Eastern, about half an hour after the polls close.

00:20:17.540 If everybody listening in Ohio goes out and votes today, make sure they vote early.

00:20:21.820 Bring their friends to the polling booth.

00:20:24.060 I'm going to give you a stat that blew my mind when we did the polling.

00:20:27.200 For every 100 Republicans that say they're going to vote on election day, only 80 turn up.

00:20:33.420 98% of Democrats who say they're going to vote turn up.

00:20:36.500 That's every election.

00:20:37.840 That's every election.

00:20:38.860 We've got to get our people to bank that vote.

00:20:42.320 What are you seeing on the ground that says this time it's different?

00:20:49.900 Anything?

00:20:51.140 People want their country back.

00:20:52.660 People want their country back.

00:20:53.740 We have an open border.

00:20:55.200 We don't have operational control of our border.

00:20:57.360 We have a situation now in America where McDonald's is a luxury.

00:21:00.900 The grocery store is terrifying when you get to the cashier.

00:21:03.580 We see instability all over the world.

00:21:05.680 We're being told we need to drive an electric car, and if we don't, we're bad people.

00:21:10.200 Cars we can't afford.

00:21:11.240 Houses we can't afford.

00:21:12.580 Rent we can't afford.

00:21:13.720 Credit card bills are through the roof.

00:21:15.380 And yet this country sends hundreds of billions of dollars to foreign countries, rewards illegal immigrants. 0.69

00:21:20.320 We pay $110,000 a year per illegal migrant in this country.

00:21:25.420 They want their country back.

00:21:26.460 They want to know that the taxpayers of this country are funding a government that puts the interest of the United States citizens above all else.

00:21:34.300 So you actually became an American citizen at the age of 18.

00:21:38.140 Your family's from Bogota, Colombia, right?

00:21:41.140 That's correct.

00:21:41.760 That's where I was born.

00:21:42.640 That's where my family's from.

00:21:43.940 I'll tell you a quick story.

00:21:44.940 I became a citizen when I was 18.

00:21:46.540 I sat in front of a Marine drill instructor who put his finger in my face and said, there's one flag that you stand up for.

00:21:53.140 There's one flag that you respect.

00:21:54.600 There's one country that's yours and none other. 0.80

00:21:57.260 And yet I go to Washington, D.C., and I see elected officials wearing the flags of foreign countries under the lapel pins.

00:22:02.640 It's infuriating.

00:22:03.600 I don't understand it.

00:22:04.780 Can you imagine a foreign leader of any other nation wearing an American flag under the lapel pin?

00:22:10.260 And by the way, some of them should.

00:22:11.680 And Zelensky should have a tattoo of the United States flag somewhere unspeakable.

00:22:16.860 And yet, of course, he advocates for his country because that's his job.

00:22:20.100 But when we see our leaders do that, I think that drill and sergeant would be rolling over in his grave.

00:22:25.400 What are your thoughts on war and what's happening over with Russia and Ukraine?

00:22:32.620 We've got to end the killing.

00:22:33.800 A million Eastern Europeans either killed or injured.

00:22:37.160 It should never have happened.

00:22:38.280 And Biden and Harris are about war because of weakness.

00:22:42.060 We need to be peace through strength.

00:22:43.700 That would never have happened and did not happen under President Trump.

00:22:46.900 Look, we've got to end that conflict.

00:22:48.580 We've got to cut the relationship between Russia and China, Russia and Iran. 0.93

00:22:53.020 We've got to cripple Iran like we had them, give peace in the Middle East, make certain that China understands while we don't want to go to war with them, 1.00

00:23:00.600 if they don't treat us fairly, we're not going to treat them fairly.

00:23:04.060 And we have to be strong.

00:23:05.240 Look, can you imagine Kamala Harris sitting across the table from Putin or Xi?

00:23:09.520 I mean, imagine what that negotiation looks like.

00:23:11.700 She's afraid of Bret Baier.

00:23:13.420 Can you imagine Putin?

00:23:18.120 Your policy on the border and deporting people?

00:23:23.040 If you're in this country illegally, you're going to be deported one way or another.

00:23:28.820 And if you're going to come into this country, you're going to come in under our terms. 1.00

00:23:32.720 You're going to learn English.

00:23:33.720 You're going to assimilate. 0.94

00:23:34.920 You're going to add to our economy.

00:23:36.400 You're never going to lower American wages.

00:23:38.740 And you're going to be invited to come here.

00:23:40.640 This idea that you could just break into our country and get rewarded is over.

00:23:44.540 And any companies out there that are employing illegal immigrants are going to be punished.

00:23:48.280 Look, we have to restore a very simple concept.

00:23:52.160 We're a sovereign nation.

00:23:53.260 We have to have a border that we control.

00:23:55.200 Right now, the Mexican drug cartels control our border.

00:23:58.340 And by the way, we're going to work with Mexico to wipe those drug cartels off the face of the earth.

00:24:03.000 So, you know, people are complaining.

00:24:06.500 I've not heard any politicians say this, and I just I just wish they would.

00:24:10.340 They all say we can't deport, you know, 10 million people.

00:24:13.960 It's impossible.

00:24:15.120 What are you going to do in mass deportation?

00:24:16.800 We're going to build camps.

00:24:17.680 Do you know the number one president that deported more people than anyone else was Bill Clinton?

00:24:26.360 No, Bill Clinton.

00:24:27.460 And Eisenhower deported 1.1 to 1.3 million under Bill Clinton from 93 to 2001.

00:24:37.600 12 million people were deported.

00:24:41.260 12 million.

00:24:43.740 So why can't we deport 12 million today? 1.00

00:24:47.120 Well, I mean, I don't understand what the problem is.

00:24:49.500 Look, if we can get 12 million people in, we get 12 million people out.

00:24:53.520 Exactly right.

00:24:54.280 By the way, it's an imperative.

00:24:56.220 Look, you've got to send a message to the world.

00:24:58.400 You cannot come here illegally.

00:24:59.620 If you do, you're going to you're going to get turned back and you're going to get deported.

00:25:02.660 And it's easy with the criminals.

00:25:04.040 You know, Kamala Harris yesterday said that on day one, she's going to deport criminals. 0.99

00:25:08.740 Why not do it today?

00:25:09.720 Why not do it six months ago?

00:25:11.020 Why not do it three years ago?

00:25:12.580 You know, it's unbelievable to watch the arsonist talk about how you shouldn't start fires.

00:25:16.700 I mean, this is just total craziness.

00:25:19.300 It's a total fraud.

00:25:20.700 I think the American public are open.

00:25:22.520 Their eyes are open.

00:25:23.980 This election needs to be a landslide election.

00:25:26.300 We've got to reject the Kamala Harris and Tim Walters and Sherrod Browns in this country.

00:25:30.860 We're not a socialist communist country.

00:25:33.600 We're a constitutional republic.

00:25:35.900 Let's be a constitutional republic.

00:25:37.900 And everybody listening, go out and vote like your country depends on it because it really does.

00:25:43.520 You mentioned day one.

00:25:44.920 What's a Bernie Moreno day one look like?

00:25:47.680 We're going to secure our border.

00:25:49.180 We're going to put in place the executive orders that President Trump had in place, allow us to go through and codify those in our laws.

00:25:57.140 We're going to lower prices.

00:25:58.400 We're going to dismantle the administrative state, massively cut government spending, get rid of departments like the Department of Education that's unconstitutional, move that money to the states.

00:26:08.180 We're going to unleash American energy, be an energy superpower in this country, get rid of these ridiculous regulations, have a restore the Trump tax cuts, make them permanent.

00:26:19.440 And then we're going to get to work.

00:26:21.220 I mean, we're going to get to work with peace and stability around the world.

00:26:23.540 I think President Trump does that in his first, actually, probably even before inauguration day, he solves a problem in Ukraine and gets that war ended and the killing, which is what I think most Americans want.

00:26:34.460 Look, we don't want more endless wars.

00:26:36.060 They've already cost this country too much in terms of lost people, lost treasure.

00:26:40.120 We've got to have stability around the world, but not wars.

00:26:42.400 I'm so sick of hearing about Donald Trump, you know, going out to kill his political enemies and he's Hitler and everything else, because, first of all, never seen that from him.

00:26:53.380 He's already been in office.

00:26:54.540 In fact, he's the opposite of what they're doing right now, which is going after their enemies list.

00:27:00.580 But I also believe that we are different than the Democrats.

00:27:03.760 If our guy started to violate the Constitution, we would actually stand against him and say, excuse me, that's unconstitutional.

00:27:12.240 We don't go there.

00:27:13.360 Do you believe that?

00:27:14.740 Oh, 100 percent.

00:27:15.900 I mean, you look at the student debt forgiveness.

00:27:18.120 Right in Ohio, about 30 percent of people have a college degree.

00:27:21.560 Most of them paid their own debts and paid their own way.

00:27:24.680 And yet, Sherrod Brown agrees with Joe Biden that the people who didn't go to college should pay off their studies degrees for the people who did go to college and didn't pay their debt.

00:27:33.080 By the way, the Supreme Court ruled it unconstitutional and they still do it.

00:27:37.200 So, look, it's all about projection.

00:27:38.720 That's what they do when they say we're a threat to democracies because they know they're a threat to democracy.

00:27:44.260 President Trump's a good man, as you know.

00:27:46.160 You know him personally like I do.

00:27:48.460 That's the part that's so upsetting.

00:27:49.920 This is a man who loves this country in his heart and soul.

00:27:53.860 He's given up more than anybody I know to serve.

00:27:56.940 It's what motivates me to run every single day to every corner of Ohio because I know what he's done.

00:28:02.260 And I'm going to go out there and match that and put all the effort I can into giving back to this country to give me every opportunity in the world to succeed.

00:28:10.160 Well, best of luck to you, Bernie.

00:28:12.440 We are behind you and we urge everybody in Ohio, get out and vote.

00:28:20.280 And don't dismiss, well, my guy is really not the problem.

00:28:24.140 Yes, your guy is the problem.

00:28:26.580 Replace him.

00:28:27.720 Bernie Moreno, Ohio Senate candidate.

00:28:30.200 Thank you, Bernie.

00:28:31.000 Appreciate it.

00:28:32.040 This is the best of the Glenn Beck program.

00:28:40.120 Lieutenant Colonel retired.

00:28:42.100 Jonathan Conricus is with us.

00:28:44.120 He is a former Israeli Defense Forces spokesperson, Foundation for Defense of Democracy senior fellow.

00:28:51.840 We welcome you into the studio.

00:28:53.280 How are you, Colonel?

00:28:53.980 Shalom.

00:28:54.400 Thank you very much.

00:28:55.180 Good to have you here.

00:28:56.060 Thank you.

00:28:56.480 Pleasure to be here in Texas.

00:28:57.560 So what is worse, actually fighting somebody like Hamas or going into the newsrooms here in America?

00:29:05.740 Undoubtedly fighting Hamas, fighting Hezbollah. 0.73

00:29:08.840 That's the real thing.

00:29:09.840 Yeah.

00:29:09.980 I actually have done both, or all three of them, Hamas, Hezbollah, and I speak on behalf of my people and my country in the media.

00:29:18.480 And jokes aside, you know, reality is a very brutal one.

00:29:22.320 We have so many casualties every day.

00:29:24.480 There are Israeli casualties in fighting in Gaza and in Lebanon.

00:29:28.320 There are no casualties in, you know, in real life in media, but truth suffers.

00:29:32.940 I will tell you that we never hear about the casualties every day.

00:29:37.340 No.

00:29:37.520 We hear it from the other side, but we don't hear it on the Israel side.

00:29:41.360 Yeah.

00:29:42.440 You don't hear it that there's been almost 900 Israeli civilians killed since October 7th.

00:29:49.360 And you don't hear that we have had almost 800 Israeli soldiers and security personnel killed.

00:29:54.660 And you don't hear of tens of thousands of wounded Israelis.

00:29:57.940 You don't hear of rockets.

00:29:59.320 Just a few seconds ago, I came into the studio.

00:30:02.220 Rocket sirens again in Israel.

00:30:04.200 Millions of Israelis running for bomb shelters.

00:30:07.040 A few hours ago, morning time in Israel, millions of Israelis had to run for bomb shelters because they were firing rockets both from Lebanon and from Syria.

00:30:17.460 So there's a lot of things that don't transpire.

00:30:19.700 How does a population live like that?

00:30:22.380 With a lot of faith.

00:30:23.480 With a lot of faith and based on the understanding that, yes, it's tough, it's definitely inconvenient, but this is our ancestral homeland and we fight for it.

00:30:32.800 And even if it isn't convenient, this is all we have.

00:30:35.660 I talked to several rabbis over in Israel and they all say there is a, I don't know, an awakening going on with the Jewish people in their faith, that there is a great growth of faith in Israel right now.

00:30:50.080 I would say so.

00:30:51.400 I would say that there are more patriots.

00:30:53.560 I think that people who perhaps before had dreams of, you know, let's become like, I don't know, Denmark or Switzerland or some other very well-to-do convenient European country, which allegedly doesn't have security challenges.

00:31:08.240 And let's aspire for that.

00:31:09.860 Many people dreamt of that.

00:31:11.120 But then reality came knocking in the most brutal way on October 7 when Hamas invaded into Israel.

00:31:17.940 And since then, we've been fighting for a year.

00:31:20.140 I have friends who have been deployed three and four times in Lebanon and in Gaza with leaving their families back home, wife and children, their businesses, and just, you know, going to the front fighting.

00:31:32.120 And that takes a toll and it is difficult.

00:31:35.540 But at the end of the day, people, you know, we get a reality check.

00:31:39.120 And as we are a peace-loving people, we greet ourselves, we greet others by saying shalom.

00:31:44.780 Shalom means peace.

00:31:45.940 We aspire for peace. 0.96

00:31:47.260 But many people have come to the understanding now that in order to achieve that, we have to be strong, protected, and we have to signal to our neighbors and enemies that you're not going to get anywhere by attacking us and by killing and raping and murdering.

00:32:05.420 It'll only be suffering for you because we're here to stay.

00:32:08.240 So there is definitely a lot of awakening in Israel.

00:32:10.420 I have to tell you, I think you're the only country that is fighting the war or fighting a war the way I think it's supposed to be fought.

00:32:19.140 You fight hard and you fight with peace always in one hand.

00:32:24.600 You can grab it at any time.

00:32:26.180 Any time we'll stop.

00:32:27.580 But until the bad guys' backs are broken, we would never have stopped going after the Germans until they completely broke the back and surrendered with the Nazis. 0.84

00:32:39.840 Yeah, there's no other way.

00:32:41.760 And with ISIS, you didn't wait for them to say, well, you know, a partial agreement. 0.68

00:32:46.380 No.

00:32:47.060 With people like this, with monsters like this, with Nazis, with ISIS, with Hamas, with Hezbollah, with the Iranians, there is one way, and it's victory.

00:32:55.260 Now, it may sound simplistic, and for people who think of themselves as nuanced and very sophisticated, perhaps it's too simplistic.

00:33:02.980 But this is the very real reality of war, sadly.

00:33:06.360 I mean, look it, what did we do in Afghanistan?

00:33:10.140 We made nicey-nice at the end.

00:33:11.820 And what happened?

00:33:13.320 They're just back doing what they were doing at the first time.

00:33:17.100 Sadly, after 20 years.

00:33:18.260 And by the way, you know, people who care about the suffering in Gaza, and I can understand, people see horrible images on American media, it is horrible, and there is legitimate human suffering.

00:33:28.920 Yes.

00:33:29.100 It can end.

00:33:30.240 If Hamas comes out of their tunnels and hands over the hostages and says, we surrender, the war ends in two days.

00:33:37.380 It's that easy.

00:33:38.360 And it's a choice that Hamas has, and they continue to make it. 0.94

00:33:41.280 By the way, that offer has been on the table for about a year, right?

00:33:45.080 Israel has been saying, listen, if you want to end the war, you can do it now, and you can do it totally swiftly. 0.60

00:33:51.500 Just come out of your tunnels and give us our hostages back.

00:33:54.120 You know, I talked to Eric Prince the other day, and he said, you know, we had a plan, his group had a plan to pump seawater into all those tunnels.

00:34:04.800 Yeah.

00:34:05.380 We started doing that.

00:34:06.880 You have.

00:34:07.460 Yeah, yeah.

00:34:07.840 We started doing it.

00:34:08.880 It was a good plan, but unfortunately, we didn't succeed with it and didn't follow through, because our biggest concern was that we didn't know where our hostages were being held.

00:34:19.760 Oh, yeah.

00:34:20.140 And we had intel that most of the hostages were being held by Hamas inside tunnels.

00:34:25.400 Do you think they're still alive?

00:34:27.380 Well, you know, sadly, it's not about thinking.

00:34:30.020 Out of 101 hostages that are still there, including two children that were taken, one at the age of just a few months old.

00:34:38.100 I believe he was four months old.

00:34:40.360 He spent more life in captivity in Hamas dungeons than he has as a free baby.

00:34:46.380 He's about a year and a half now, Kfir Bivas.

00:34:49.660 So we have 101 hostages.

00:34:52.020 Out of those 101, 36, we know for sure, are dead.

00:34:56.540 And the families have been notified by the Israeli authorities that they are dead.

00:35:00.280 The rest, question marks, I don't know.

00:35:03.060 We don't know.

00:35:03.700 There's no definitive information about how many are alive, working to trying to get them out.

00:35:09.320 The head of the CIA was at a meeting together with the head of the Mossad and Qatari interlocutors in Doha.

00:35:17.360 No big headlines coming out of that, unfortunately.

00:35:19.900 Doesn't seem as if Hamas wants to do a deal.

00:35:23.680 And the conditions that they put up is as if they're winning the war and not losing it.

00:35:29.440 So we're facing an election in six days here in America.

00:35:32.680 Tell me the difference between a Harris administration and a Trump administration from the point of Israel.

00:35:42.620 So I understand that these elections are crucial for America from a perspective of, I mean, for internal domestic issues in America.

00:35:52.420 A lot of things that I know little about, but I watch from the side.

00:35:56.980 What I, my perspective is the Middle Eastern one.

00:35:59.260 And when I look at the American posture, what matters for me is what kind of policy will Washington be dictating?

00:36:08.120 What kind of leadership will Washington have when it comes to the Middle East and specifically Iran?

00:36:13.220 And what I'm constantly listening, trying to understand is what are the candidates saying about what are they going to do about Iran?

00:36:22.140 What's the policy going to be about their nuclear weapons program?

00:36:25.780 Which, as we speak, is going on, they are weaponizing.

00:36:30.740 They're not only enriching uranium, but they continue to weaponize and to actually make concrete steps in order to build a nuclear bomb that they say that they will use.

00:36:40.620 They call Israel, my country, a one-bomb state.

00:36:44.000 And that is what they plan to do, to have a nuclear bomb, to threaten to use it, and to use it. 0.54

00:36:48.860 They say openly, by 2040, and this is on an official, there's a countdown in a square in Tehran, the Iranian capital.

00:36:58.560 The square is called Palestine Square, and they have a countdown there from 2040.

00:37:02.900 And they say that until 2040, we plan to annihilate the state of Israel.

00:37:07.200 And if they'll have a nuclear bomb in their hands, then, of course, they will use it for that purpose.

00:37:11.500 It's so outrageous for people who have a Western outlook.

00:37:15.780 They say that they don't mean that.

00:37:17.360 Exactly.

00:37:18.200 They do.

00:37:18.700 But that's exactly what the Israelis said to themselves and what people said before October 7 about Hamas.

00:37:25.260 No, they don't really mean it.

00:37:26.760 It's just rhetoric for domestic consumption, and it's not serious, you know.

00:37:31.320 They're more into governance, and they just want to get by, and they want to look tough and hard with their jihadi peers. 1.00

00:37:38.160 But, yeah, you have to listen to your enemies, and the Iranians, the Iranian regime is a serious, very dedicated, disciplined, absolutely crazy regime, and their intention is to annihilate Israel. 0.95

00:37:50.460 So, therefore, American policy, in my mind, should reflect America's commitment to prevent Iran from being nuclear and to stop Iran from being the belligerent and source of terrorism in the region. 0.88

00:38:04.260 And I'll remind everybody, especially Democratic voters that may be listening, there's a thing called the Jerusalem Convention.

00:38:12.620 President Biden, about two and a half years ago, he traveled to Israel before Bibi became prime minister the last time, and it was with Prime Minister Lapid.

00:38:21.860 And President Biden signed a declaration where he says that the United States will use all of the capacities of its national power in order to prevent Iran from ever going nuclear.

00:38:34.720 It's written.

00:38:35.780 It's in the president's name.

00:38:37.780 And that, of course, is something that we as Israelis value very much.

00:38:41.420 And I think this should be the centerpiece of American policy towards the region.

00:38:46.240 It will do good for Israel. 0.61

00:38:47.920 It will do good for Saudi.

00:38:49.420 It will do good for the region.

00:38:51.000 It will be great for prosperity.

00:38:53.020 And, very importantly for America, it will strengthen America's brand.

00:38:57.800 It will deter the Chinese from challenging America. 1.00

00:39:00.420 It will deter the Russians from challenging because they will see clear, committed, resolute American leadership.

00:39:06.740 I was amazed at the treaty, the Abrahamic Accords.

00:39:11.720 I mean, Donald Trump did things that I didn't think any president would ever do.

00:39:18.280 And the Abrahamic… 0.62

00:39:18.900 You were there on the ground with the embassy.

00:39:20.680 Yeah.

00:39:20.980 I mean, hello.

00:39:22.200 I mean, that just didn't happen.

00:39:23.660 No.

00:39:23.800 And when you look at the Abrahamic Accords, that was so unbelievably historic and really got very little play here in America.

00:39:34.680 And then it was just dismantled.

00:39:37.000 Well, first of all, it is, in my mind, worthy of Nobel Peace Prize.

00:39:42.420 Yes.

00:39:42.740 Hands down.

00:39:43.600 It is the only peace deal in the Middle East, which wasn't a barter.

00:39:47.700 It wasn't land for peace.

00:39:49.120 It was peace for peace, which is how peace should be given.

00:39:52.020 Right.

00:39:52.840 Brilliantly done.

00:39:53.500 And brought everybody together.

00:39:54.540 And brought everybody together.

00:39:56.160 And I think the importance was that it broke, you know, the taboo around the issue of Israel.

00:40:01.580 And it allowed Arab countries who, for years… 0.57

00:40:04.440 I call this the Israel mistress syndrome. 0.99

00:40:07.540 You know, for years, decades, Arab countries around us have been engaged in interactions with Israel.

00:40:13.800 But it's all been below the table.

00:40:15.620 And it's not been above board.

00:40:17.160 Right.

00:40:17.860 Abraham Accords brought that above board.

00:40:20.040 And it's been a tremendous boost for the region.

00:40:22.140 On October 7, Hamas, one of its goals, and this was at the direct directive of the Iranians, 0.96

00:40:29.320 they wanted to derail the possible expansion of the Abraham Accords between Israel and Saudi.

00:40:36.600 It was in the making.

00:40:37.900 It was going to happen.

00:40:39.380 And what Hamas did on October 7, actually put a wrench in those wheels. 0.89

00:40:45.680 And we now are working hard to get that back.

00:40:48.700 But I think the Abraham Accords are the way to the future. 1.00

00:40:52.140 That is what we want to see.

00:40:53.760 We want to see prosperity.

00:40:55.100 We want to see respect for each other's borders.

00:40:57.580 We want to bring people of different faiths together.

00:41:00.560 I visited in Abu Dhabi.

00:41:02.620 They have a beautiful site.

00:41:03.640 I don't know if you've been there.

00:41:04.560 But they have the Abrahamic Center where they have a church, a mosque, and a synagogue in the same compound.

00:41:11.380 And they actually teach about coexistence.

00:41:14.180 That's a beautiful thing.

00:41:15.260 And that's exactly the spirit that we need in the Middle East, not wars and Iranians and nuclear and terrorists and all of that stuff.

00:41:21.720 But we need people to be able to work, to prosper, to practice their faith, all of it in respect to others, in respect to others' history, but also with respect to our right to live in our homeland.

00:41:32.060 How will – I've only got about 90 seconds here.

00:41:35.180 How will Iran react to a return of Donald Trump?

00:41:41.080 I think that the coming three months, the last part of the presidential period, will be a very sensitive one.

00:41:50.920 And I think that whatever happens, whoever is elected, it'll be perhaps a time where Iran will try to break out and to really go from being a potential nuclear state to actually having the weapons. 0.90

00:42:03.340 And I think that if President Trump is elected, then they would perhaps want to establish that as a fact before he goes into office.

00:42:11.920 But I think that the Iranians fear, the Iranian regime are in fear of President Trump based on what President Trump did in his first presidency, where he was the first one to take out the terrorist mastermind, General Qasem Soleimani.

00:42:27.460 That was a brilliant move for which the people of the Middle East, everybody, should be thankful because that was exactly what was needed.

00:42:36.100 More is needed against the evil Iranian regime. 0.98

00:42:38.920 And especially what the U.S. and Israel should be doing is supporting the Iranian people.

00:42:44.180 Supporting the Iranian people against the Iranian regime, that's the way forward.

00:42:48.740 And that is what Israel will start focusing on.

00:42:51.220 And that is what I hope that the United States of America will do.

00:42:54.020 Lieutenant Colonel Jonathan Connery, he's a retired former Israeli Defense Forces and spokesperson, and also with the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, senior fellow there.

00:43:04.900 Thank you so much.

00:43:05.660 Thank you for having me.

00:43:06.540 God bless you.

00:43:07.180 Thank you.
