The Glenn Beck Program - Best of The Program ｜ Guests： Daniel Presti & James Altucher ｜ 12⧸8⧸20

00:00:00.000 Hey, on today's podcast, really good.

00:00:02.260 James Altucher is on with us.

00:00:04.220 We got the bar owner in Staten Island who was just arrested for keeping his bar open.

00:00:10.680 He's on today's podcast.

00:00:13.260 We have the Harvard Medical School professor who, I don't know if we can trust him,

00:00:20.040 he says this mask thing isn't working and, you know, maybe we should go a different route. 0.93

00:00:26.560 He's crazy.

00:00:27.640 Also, the update on the election. 0.88

00:00:30.580 What's happening with Texas?

00:00:31.940 A really important lawsuit coming out of Texas.

00:00:35.320 All this and so much more on today's podcast.

00:00:44.920 You're listening to the best of the Glenn Beck program.

00:00:51.080 Texas is now filing.

00:00:53.160 We'll tell you about it coming up in a little while.

00:00:54.660 But Texas is filing a lawsuit against four other states saying, you know, we played by

00:01:03.200 the rules.

00:01:03.960 You broke the rules of the Constitution.

00:01:07.440 And we have standing in this.

00:01:09.980 I don't understand how Donald Trump doesn't have standing or how we, the American people,

00:01:15.460 don't have standing in this election.

00:01:18.780 It's our country.

00:01:20.600 What more do you need?

00:01:21.920 That's how they just dismissed the supposed Kraken lawsuits.

00:01:26.140 No standing.

00:01:27.240 Wait, they're American citizens.

00:01:28.520 They don't have standing in this election for it to be free and fair.

00:01:32.600 Come on.

00:01:33.140 I really want to know.

00:01:34.100 And by the way, if any of this goes to the Supreme Court, you see Ted Cruz said he'll argue

00:01:38.760 the case.

00:01:39.340 I saw that.

00:01:39.700 Yeah, that's good.

00:01:40.300 And has he, is it, it's my understanding he's never lost before the Supreme Court.

00:01:45.360 Right?

00:01:45.820 He's had nine cases, I think, before the Supreme Court won them all.

00:01:48.740 He's got to get there.

00:01:49.240 Yeah, he does.

00:01:50.020 He's got to get there.

00:01:51.140 Okay.

00:01:51.500 I want to welcome to Pat Gray from Pat Gray Unleashed, the podcast you can get and listen

00:01:56.540 to every day.

00:01:57.240 Very funny.

00:01:58.640 He does it right before this broadcast.

00:02:01.920 Not to mention profound.

00:02:03.260 Funny and profound.

00:02:04.320 That's what people are saying.

00:02:05.120 And those are the two words that come up the most funny and profound.

00:02:09.680 Well, I think it's, I think it's all the deep, deep science work that you have.

00:02:13.120 Yes.

00:02:13.520 Yeah.

00:02:13.860 Yes.

00:02:14.240 That's why I wanted to ask you about the Israeli space program, the former head of the space

00:02:20.240 program.

00:02:20.980 For almost 30 years.

00:02:22.640 For 30 years.

00:02:23.960 Now, I didn't know that Israel had a space program.

00:02:27.720 But I love that they do.

00:02:31.500 Yeah.

00:02:31.960 But he told newspapers yesterday that aliens have been secretly interacting with the U.S.

00:02:41.420 and Israeli government for years.

00:02:44.520 He said at one point, Trump wanted to expose their existence.

00:02:49.980 But the UFOs have asked not to publish that they are here because humanity isn't ready

00:02:56.500 yet.

00:02:56.980 Well, I'm glad he just did it anyway.

00:02:59.440 Trump, he says, well, on the verge of revealing, but the aliens of the Galactic Federation are

00:03:04.100 saying, wait, let people calm down first.

00:03:07.340 They don't want to start mass hysteria.

00:03:09.660 Yeah.

00:03:09.900 They want to make sure that they that we're that we're sane and that we understand.

00:03:15.860 Well, that's not going to happen ever.

00:03:17.460 I don't think ever, ever, ever will we be saying so.

00:03:23.780 I mean, my first thought is.

00:03:27.120 He's 87.

00:03:28.720 He's got a little Joe Biden going on in, you know what I'm saying?

00:03:32.140 Yeah.

00:03:35.480 However, however, hasn't it been odd how since Donald Trump has been president, all of these

00:03:44.300 things have come.

00:03:45.120 It seems like it seems like the alien network is the only one that understood, hey, he's

00:03:52.120 a big distraction.

00:03:53.540 Let's just dump all this information out there.

00:03:55.880 And then then, you know, in four years when they're like, wait, the Pentagon said that they

00:04:00.880 had a extraterrestrial device and a plane and other reverse engineering it.

00:04:07.320 Right.

00:04:07.660 Then you can say, yeah, that's old news.

00:04:09.840 That came out a long time ago.

00:04:11.160 That is the way to do it.

00:04:14.440 It is.

00:04:15.000 Yeah.

00:04:15.220 Just pop it out there.

00:04:16.160 Wait for like, you know, there'll be some other big story.

00:04:18.380 Like, you know, the McRib is back in stores this week.

00:04:20.880 Wait till that comes out and then just leak out the alien information.

00:04:23.960 No one pays attention.

00:04:25.560 Because the McRib is so much bigger.

00:04:26.880 Because the McRib is so much bigger.

00:04:27.700 Where's the McRib?

00:04:28.360 Which store do I go to?

00:04:29.460 Wait, isn't that meat pressed to look like rib?

00:04:32.340 You're right.

00:04:32.760 Like, it looks like it's bone, but it's made out of meat.

00:04:34.600 It's some sort of goob and it's just pressed into a rib shape.

00:04:37.600 And that.

00:04:38.000 Yeah.

00:04:38.140 It's not.

00:04:38.740 You look at it and it looks like it has bones in it, but it does not have bones in it.

00:04:42.540 There's absolutely no bone in it.

00:04:44.040 No.

00:04:44.300 It's like boneless chicken wings without any meat.

00:04:48.580 Right.

00:04:49.220 So he goes on to say, there's an agreement between the U.S. government and the aliens.

00:04:56.320 They signed a contract with us to do experiments here.

00:05:00.000 Hmm.

00:05:01.080 Well, you know, I understand that because there's nobody that loves experiments, you know, more

00:05:06.580 than the Israeli people.

00:05:08.980 What?

00:05:11.220 I don't think so.

00:05:12.820 Yeah.

00:05:13.660 They, too, are researching, trying to understand the whole fabric of the universe, and they

00:05:18.520 want us as helpers.

00:05:20.440 Uh-huh.

00:05:21.400 It's really cool because there's also a secret underground base on Mars.

00:05:25.580 The depths of Mars.

00:05:26.740 Where there are American and alien representatives.

00:05:31.400 Hmm.

00:05:32.360 So that's going to be helpful when we get to, if we ever get to Mars, uh, with the Elon Musk

00:05:37.020 thing.

00:05:37.400 They're going to be there.

00:05:37.920 Don't worry about it.

00:05:38.360 Come on down. 0.94

00:05:38.840 Come on down. 0.94

00:05:39.240 Have a cup of coffee.

00:05:39.960 We're set.

00:05:40.840 We're set.

00:05:42.060 Uh, he said, if I would have come up with what I'm saying five years ago, I would have

00:05:45.640 been hospitalized.

00:05:47.040 Wherever I've gone in this, uh, with academia, they've said the man has lost his mind.

00:05:52.420 Today, they're already talking differently.

00:05:54.660 I have nothing to lose.

00:05:55.460 I've received my degrees, my rewards.

00:05:57.520 I'm respected in universities abroad, uh, where there's a trend also changing.

00:06:03.060 So is he saying, is he saying people are ready to accept this?

00:06:07.880 Is this what he's saying?

00:06:09.560 Seems like.

00:06:10.400 I think so.

00:06:11.320 And with the Pentagon report, he might be right.

00:06:13.960 I mean, there's, there is some legitimacy to this stuff now.

00:06:16.600 Did you see last week what the Pentagon released with a giant, uh, triangle shaped ship that

00:06:23.880 came out of the water?

00:06:25.420 No.

00:06:25.960 Oh my gosh.

00:06:26.840 What?

00:06:27.280 Yeah.

00:06:27.620 I don't know why this isn't going everywhere.

00:06:30.400 This is huge.

00:06:32.140 So the Pentagon, the Pentagon released video.

00:06:36.760 It had already been smuggled out of the Pentagon.

00:06:39.680 This shows, you know, that they're hiding information.

00:06:41.880 It already been smuggled out.

00:06:43.180 I think it happened in 2017, I think, and they confirmed and re-released the video and

00:06:50.220 said, yes, this was taken by our, uh, uh, uh, jets and also tracked by our warships.

00:07:00.340 And it was this gigantic triangle, uh, shaped ship that came out from underneath the ocean.

00:07:08.380 That was an episode of SeaQuest.

00:07:09.920 I know.

00:07:10.200 And they tracked it going 300 knots underwater.

00:07:17.220 No.

00:07:17.820 Yes.

00:07:18.460 Look it up.

00:07:19.640 Look it up.

00:07:20.320 Ah, that is unbelievable.

00:07:21.880 I mean, what the hell is happening?

00:07:23.640 How could you not hear about that?

00:07:24.520 I know.

00:07:25.680 The Pentagon released that?

00:07:26.980 The Pentagon released it last week.

00:07:29.480 Didn't we talk about this?

00:07:31.340 I don't think so.

00:07:32.420 Not while I was here.

00:07:33.320 Yeah.

00:07:33.600 Maybe we didn't.

00:07:34.220 There's so many things going on.

00:07:35.480 I can't remember if we did it on the air or not.

00:07:36.520 It kind of is like, you know, maybe we should readjust our priorities.

00:07:40.420 And they had footage of it.

00:07:41.880 Yeah.

00:07:42.000 They had footage of it.

00:07:43.500 And they tracked it.

00:07:45.060 Ah.

00:07:45.340 And it stops.

00:07:46.120 It goes up in the air and then it stops.

00:07:47.880 That is crazy.

00:07:48.120 And then it kind of spins around and you hear the pilots going, look at that.

00:07:51.560 Look at that.

00:07:52.340 It just stops.

00:07:53.440 And then just flips around.

00:07:54.920 Uh, yeah, that's literally there is a sequest.

00:08:02.240 Like, do you remember the show sequest?

00:08:04.240 There is a show where a giant UFO comes out of the sea and it had been there for like,

00:08:10.580 I don't know, a million years or something.

00:08:12.000 And they reawoken it and it just came up out of the ocean and flew back off into space.

00:08:16.960 Well, this time they released that there is, they are, uh, they didn't use the word targeting.

00:08:23.620 Um, they said something along the lines of there is, um, there is some special concern

00:08:32.880 with these ships that they are observing our Navy, uh, our air force and our nuclear weapon

00:08:43.380 sites.

00:08:43.960 Why?

00:08:44.800 I mean, I don't know the, the technology to get here from somewhere else where there's

00:08:48.840 life would have to be such that you don't need to spy on us.

00:08:53.280 One of the guys, one of the guys who are safe than sorry though, Pat.

00:08:56.380 Yeah.

00:08:56.720 You know, I think you, uh, you plan for the worst, but it'd be like us spying on ants to

00:09:02.060 see what they're doing in their, in their anthill.

00:09:04.320 How do you, how do they build those?

00:09:07.120 That's what it would be like.

00:09:08.840 Have you ever tried to kill ants in Texas?

00:09:10.760 Well, if they're actually studying us, they would.

00:09:12.280 Have you ever tried to kill ants in Texas?

00:09:13.960 Uh, it's like, it's among the five most difficult things in the world to do.

00:09:18.300 So they always come back and they always eat your children.

00:09:21.080 Always.

00:09:21.700 That's how it ends.

00:09:22.440 Every time I had 10 kids.

00:09:24.560 I only have two now.

00:09:25.680 Wow.

00:09:26.080 Is this talking about ants or aliens?

00:09:28.300 I'm not alien ants.

00:09:29.800 I think the ants are the aliens.

00:09:31.160 Yeah.

00:09:31.800 I think they've been here the whole time.

00:09:33.000 Okay.

00:09:33.180 So let me ask you if they came down and they were big octopus people and they were like,

00:09:38.600 yes, we look just like on the Simpsons.

00:09:42.480 Don't you guys know that guy is a genius and a soothsayer?

00:09:48.020 Uh, and he came down and you, they were like, yes, and we're here.

00:09:52.540 We come in peace.

00:09:53.560 First of all, do you think that there's a chance we just don't try to blow them up

00:10:00.560 anyway?

00:10:02.120 That we don't try to?

00:10:03.940 No, I think we would try to.

00:10:05.200 Yeah. 0.51

00:10:05.400 We try to blow them up.

00:10:06.460 Mm-hmm.

00:10:06.720 So that's a bad thing for them and most likely for us.

00:10:10.580 Yeah.

00:10:10.720 Cause we're not going to win.

00:10:11.960 No.

00:10:12.340 Like, so we're just going to wind up trying to blow them up.

00:10:14.200 They're going to, any hope they had of a good relationship is going to go up in flames.

00:10:17.440 So does this, does this at all, would this shake your faith at all?

00:10:21.360 Because nowhere in the scriptures does it say, and in those days, aliens show up.

00:10:28.340 I mean, you know, that would be kind of a big thing.

00:10:32.020 It would be, well, weird.

00:10:33.400 Unless that's like the heavens open up.

00:10:35.580 Yeah.

00:10:36.660 And aliens spill out.

00:10:39.120 So, well, instead of angels, aliens are spilling out in chips.

00:10:44.020 Well, maybe they're the angels.

00:10:44.960 That would be weird.

00:10:45.560 Maybe they're the angels.

00:10:46.540 Maybe.

00:10:46.940 I don't know.

00:10:47.780 If they didn't look like us, I think that would, I would be confused by that because 0.95

00:10:52.520 I would assume they would look like us.

00:10:54.300 White? 0.92

00:10:54.640 Came from the.

00:10:55.460 Yes. 0.99

00:10:55.860 Typical racist. 1.00

00:10:57.720 Yeah, white. 0.99

00:10:58.040 They have to be white. 0.90

00:10:58.840 If they're green or something.

00:10:59.840 If they're green or orange.

00:11:00.440 We're just going to reject them.

00:11:01.760 No, you can't be on our planet.

00:11:03.060 Sorry.

00:11:03.520 Nope. 0.96

00:11:03.880 Of course we're going to nuke them if they're a good thing. 0.63

00:11:05.580 Different color. 0.74

00:11:11.040 Unless their bodies are shaped exactly as ours are.

00:11:14.060 Okay.

00:11:14.440 All right.

00:11:14.720 Last question.

00:11:15.760 Green lives matter.

00:11:16.620 Ask questions.

00:11:17.260 Last question.

00:11:18.140 And I mean this sincerely.

00:11:20.120 Odds that we see an alien announcement with maybe the aliens standing next to or in our

00:11:29.980 sky or something like that in the next, in our lifetime, in our lifetime.

00:11:35.140 Oh, well, I, what is this?

00:11:36.600 What is this?

00:11:37.700 No, I mean like an actual, like.

00:11:39.480 Like an announcement.

00:11:40.380 Like the president steps up and like, I want you to, I want you to meet Goreb over here.

00:11:47.120 That's his name?

00:11:48.140 Yeah.

00:11:48.580 Goreb.

00:11:49.160 Yeah.

00:11:49.360 What planet is he from?

00:11:50.740 I don't know.

00:11:51.620 I don't know.

00:11:52.180 I'm not, I'm not limiting it.

00:11:53.640 I just want, is Goreb as far as I'm willing to go out on a limb.

00:11:56.940 So someone who lives on another planet is announced in a press conference.

00:12:00.900 In a press conference.

00:12:02.020 In the United States.

00:12:03.160 And it's credible.

00:12:03.820 It's not like me holding the press conference going, hey, this is Goreb.

00:12:08.340 Right, like he comes out and he slithers to stage or something.

00:12:11.980 Whatever, whatever.

00:12:12.880 He could walk.

00:12:13.520 He might look like us.

00:12:14.440 He may not like look like us.

00:12:15.980 He may look like a, he may want to destroy us. 0.99

00:12:19.380 He may want to be, he may be dressed as Gandhi or Jesus.

00:12:22.360 I mean.

00:12:23.100 But a U.S., a major U.S. official making this announcement.

00:12:26.300 Yeah, or the, the world official, you know, the way it always happens.

00:12:29.440 Before 2020, I definitely would have said zero percent.

00:12:32.320 But I mean, now 85, 90, I don't know.

00:12:35.200 No, seriously.

00:12:35.800 I would have said, I would have said maybe five percent, maybe in my lifetime, five years

00:12:41.580 ago.

00:12:41.880 But with everything that has come out in the last four or five years, it's pretty hard

00:12:47.040 to, to dismiss because it's no longer kooks.

00:12:50.580 It's the Pentagon. 0.91

00:12:53.300 Maybe they're all kooks.

00:12:56.100 That's possible.

00:12:57.660 That's likely.

00:12:58.980 I'm still going to say zero.

00:13:00.560 Zero.

00:13:01.320 I don't think there's any chance of that.

00:13:03.000 I'm up to a solid one percent, I think now.

00:13:06.760 Really?

00:13:07.120 I've gone from zero to one.

00:13:08.880 Have you really?

00:13:09.480 Well, because I mean, my guess is, this is probably some, you know, military craft or

00:13:14.540 something.

00:13:14.780 I mean, we're pretty amazing.

00:13:16.200 And we've come up with a lot of really crazy things that we would not be able to explain

00:13:19.900 five or ten years earlier than discovering them.

00:13:22.640 So I don't, you know.

00:13:23.540 I got to tell you, after 2020, I say 2021.

00:13:27.380 After just, just this election, vampire space bunnies in a week.

00:13:33.080 Absolutely possible.

00:13:34.280 I'm surprised they're not here.

00:13:35.220 I say 90, 85, 90 percent. 0.97

00:13:36.700 85, 85, 90 percent vampire space bunnies take occupation and they kill us all. 1.00

00:13:43.180 But we don't know it because they're cute little bunnies. 0.85

00:13:46.040 Right.

00:13:46.380 And we're like, oh, look how cute little bunny. 1.00

00:13:49.540 And they drink our blood.

00:13:52.360 Wait, what was the last part?

00:13:55.000 By February.

00:13:55.840 This is, this is actually the major U.S. official making the announcement.

00:14:01.700 It's Glenn.

00:14:07.380 You're listening to the best of the Glenn Beck program.

00:14:10.040 James Altucher is an entrepreneur.

00:14:25.620 Pretty good at that.

00:14:27.260 Angel investor.

00:14:28.520 Pretty good at that.

00:14:30.040 A chess master.

00:14:31.540 Yeah, he's kind of iffy.

00:14:33.280 And a great writer.

00:14:35.060 Hello, James.

00:14:35.540 How are you?

00:14:36.940 Glenn, so good to be here.

00:14:38.280 I'm doing really good.

00:14:39.240 How are you doing?

00:14:39.840 That's great.

00:14:40.360 It's always good to have you on.

00:14:41.640 How are you?

00:14:42.200 How are you doing with the demise of New York?

00:14:45.100 I know you are a lifelong New Yorker who reluctantly said, I think it's over.

00:14:52.160 Then Jerry Seinfeld, for some reason, attacks you for it.

00:14:56.320 And it looks like you're right.

00:14:58.860 Yeah.

00:14:59.220 You know, you know, and the thing is, Jerry and I are technically on the same side of this,

00:15:04.100 which is that no one wants New York to die.

00:15:06.400 I presented some facts that I was seeing that were undeniable, and everybody wanted to shoot

00:15:14.440 the messenger.

00:15:15.680 But then I called people ranging from mayoral candidates to congressmen to even the Federal

00:15:21.520 Reserve looking for solutions.

00:15:23.880 Everybody seems to be in denial.

00:15:26.500 I wrote that article three months ago.

00:15:28.540 New York City is in war shape now.

00:15:30.700 And there's articles, you just quoted de Blasio, I think he needs a course on law and order.

00:15:37.780 You can't close down businesses without due process.

00:15:40.440 90% of restaurants in New York City are going to go out of business.

00:15:43.720 Cuomo's going to ban indoor dining next week in New York City.

00:15:46.880 So businesses are collapsing.

00:15:49.600 Employees are going unemployed.

00:15:51.580 City workers are getting fired.

00:15:53.720 Trash collectors, EMT workers, teachers, police, health care.

00:15:58.000 How are you going to, James, how are you, I mean, I love New York City.

00:16:02.860 I think it's one of the greatest, it doesn't like me, but I think it's one of the greatest

00:16:06.720 cities in the world.

00:16:09.180 And I don't see it ever coming back to the way it used to be.

00:16:13.540 I can't even figure out how it doesn't become escape from New York soon.

00:16:19.360 You know, Glenn, I agree.

00:16:21.440 And again, I talked to a lot of smart people about it who should be on tap with solutions.

00:16:28.100 It's very difficult.

00:16:29.280 Money is leaving New York.

00:16:30.900 And people say, good riddance, the rich are leaving, but it's not the rich are leaving.

00:16:35.780 It's 80,000 small restaurants.

00:16:38.860 It's mom and pop landowners.

00:16:40.700 It's the people who are 10 months behind on their rent who are never going to pay.

00:16:44.760 You know, there's two billion, one in four New Yorkers have not paid rent since March.

00:16:48.700 They're not going to suddenly pay on January 1st.

00:16:50.880 They're just going to leave.

00:16:52.800 Half a million people have already left New York.

00:16:55.100 It's the largest flight out of New York City ever.

00:16:57.720 So when people say you can't say this time is different, this time is very, very different.

00:17:02.360 The economy has been shut down.

00:17:04.120 People have left.

00:17:05.220 You know, I saw that number about how many people left.

00:17:09.180 They say it is bigger than the exodus right after 9-11.

00:17:12.840 But 9-11, you still had things going for you.

00:17:15.920 You just needed courage.

00:17:16.960 And you also had Rudy Giuliani, who was good for business.

00:17:21.660 He was doing the opposite.

00:17:23.460 Stay here.

00:17:24.220 Stay here.

00:17:24.820 Continue to build.

00:17:26.620 Where now it's just the complete opposite.

00:17:29.500 Shut it down.

00:17:30.180 Shut it down.

00:17:30.800 Stop doing everything.

00:17:31.840 I mean, I was in the World Trade Center on 9-11.

00:17:36.340 I lived three blocks away.

00:17:38.680 It was rough.

00:17:40.200 And, you know, but the entire world rallied behind New York City, helped New York City rebuild.

00:17:46.520 There was love for New York.

00:17:48.200 New Yorkers loved New York, wanted to rebuild.

00:17:51.580 The same thing is not happening now.

00:17:53.340 There is, you know, there is so much, there is so much kind of fighting.

00:17:58.000 There's, there's, the violence is up 150% year over year.

00:18:01.680 Murders are up.

00:18:03.240 And again, it's not just like a few businesses downtown are closed for a little while.

00:18:08.720 It's, it's probably going to be about 100,000 businesses closed in New York.

00:18:12.920 Just the other day, there was news, 70 financial firms, including Goldman Sachs asset manager business, have moved from New York to Palm Beach, Florida.

00:18:23.040 Yep.

00:18:24.080 So there's an exodus.

00:18:25.400 And how do you pay for New York's probably, in my back of the envelope, Matt, New York is probably about $100 billion in the hole.

00:18:32.620 How are you going to pay for that with no taxes collected?

00:18:36.060 Because everybody who pays taxes is leaving.

00:18:38.160 And the people that are the worst off, the people like this bar owner, that's just trying to keep their restaurant and their bar open, they can't move to West Palm.

00:18:48.960 They're not moving.

00:18:49.920 They're stuck there.

00:18:51.700 I know.

00:18:52.580 And that's, that's the sad thing.

00:18:54.440 You, it's, it's in the constitution.

00:18:56.660 People need due process before property is taken away.

00:19:00.500 This guy's business, this livelihood was taken away.

00:19:03.740 And it's not just him.

00:19:04.720 And it's every restaurant owner all around, I'm standing in New York city right now, all around me, restaurants that have been staples for decades are out of business.

00:19:15.040 The people who work there out of business moved out.

00:19:18.720 The people, the employees moved back to wherever they're from.

00:19:22.420 This is not just something that affects quote unquote, the rich, nor is this.

00:19:26.600 A lot of people are saying, oh, well, this will go to a, back to the seventies, which was this artistic utopia where the rents were low.

00:19:33.820 No, I was there in the seventies.

00:19:35.440 It was disgusting.

00:19:36.860 And it's not, it's actually even going to be worse than the seventies because at least in the seventies businesses were open.

00:19:42.420 Let me, let me switch gears slightly.

00:19:46.020 You're right about the constitution and you're also right about there has to be compensation.

00:19:51.300 If the government takes away something of yours or destroys it, they have to have fair compensation for that.

00:19:59.960 I, I've been saying from the very beginning when they said, we're going to close down businesses for more than two weeks.

00:20:05.280 I've said that this is a huge lawsuit just waiting to happen on behalf of all of the people who have lost business because they weren't allowed to open it up.

00:20:16.220 But that brings me to, well, we'll just print more money.

00:20:20.840 I mean, the value of the dollar is, you know, did you know that the federal reserve has printed more money?

00:20:28.060 In fact, they've printed three quarters of all of the money they have printed in 107 years.

00:20:37.120 They've printed three quarters of that amount recently.

00:20:42.140 Yes.

00:20:42.680 And, you know, I even look, I even called people at the federal reserve to talk about New York city just for my own benefit.

00:20:48.820 So I could see that someone's thinking of solutions.

00:20:51.520 All of their thinking is, Hey, you know, their demand for the dollar is strong, which gives us an opportunity.

00:20:58.060 I don't need it to print, but it means that our children are going to be paying back money to the children of the wealthy Chinese people who are lending us the money.

00:21:08.120 And now the federal reserve is lending it.

00:21:10.280 We're not even borrowing it from the Chinese. 0.99

00:21:11.900 Nobody will buy our, our, our debt anymore.

00:21:15.140 It's now 100% financed by the federal reserve.

00:21:19.660 I mean, did you know more since March money supply, more than, more than $11 trillion has been added to the money supply.

00:21:29.060 That's not a trivial amount.

00:21:30.640 And now, and now they're talking about, Oh, let's just get $50,000 to everybody who took on student loans.

00:21:37.980 What are they talking about?

00:21:40.100 You're only benefiting the top one third of society when you do that.

00:21:43.920 So it's not a progressive action at all.

00:21:46.860 And what about these guys like the Staten Island bar owner who's worked for 40 years, building up his bar, helping his community, serving his city.

00:21:55.840 And, and now being told that he's, he's not a law and order when he just wants to feed his family.

00:22:01.580 It's, it's, it's sad and it's disgusting.

00:22:03.940 So let me ask you, cause there's, there's not been any talk on our very little talk on this, especially compared to last time.

00:22:12.280 Bitcoin is almost, I mean, it has broken its all time high, I believe, or it was within a couple of hundred dollars of breaking the all time high, but that only lasted a few days.

00:22:22.740 Bitcoin is now up around 18 to $20,000 and has been for a few, a few weeks, maybe a couple of weeks now.

00:22:30.680 And there's no hype on it is what's happening with that.

00:22:35.820 Is that a reaction to people with money saying, I'm getting out of the dollar and I'm putting it into something that might be stable?

00:22:45.940 Yeah, I think it's several things.

00:22:47.340 I think one is even since, since March, everybody breathed a huge sigh of relief that Bitcoin existed because what other currency would you trust?

00:22:59.220 The dollar is the most trusted currency in the world.

00:23:02.380 And like I just said, they're printing, you know, maybe another $10 trillion for all we know, like the Bitcoin, the supply cannot change.

00:23:10.380 You can't print Bitcoin.

00:23:11.660 The supply is permanently fixed at 21 million Bitcoin.

00:23:15.300 So, and it's not reliant on the financial system.

00:23:19.360 Every dollar transaction goes through banks and central banks and federal reserve banks.

00:23:25.500 It's all tied to a system that could collapse.

00:23:28.120 Bitcoin is outside the system, which is why companies like MicroStrategy is putting all of its cash reserves into Bitcoin.

00:23:36.060 That didn't happen in 2018, the last time Bitcoin reached a high.

00:23:39.480 The last time Bitcoin reached a high, it was speculators, people wanting to day trade Bitcoin.

00:23:44.780 Now it's people who are parking hundreds of millions, if not billions of dollars in Bitcoin for safety because they don't trust the dollar.

00:23:54.560 And you can't find any more Bitcoin.

00:23:58.080 So if supply is fixed, but demand is going up, then what does that mean?

00:24:01.880 Price goes up.

00:24:03.280 There's $150 trillion of fiat currency around the world, but only $300 billion worth of Bitcoin.

00:24:09.740 So if you think there's a reasonable chance that some percentage of currency will switch over to Bitcoin, which seems kind of obvious now, then Bitcoin is a very safe place to put money.

00:24:21.160 Not go crazy with it, but put some money there for safety.

00:24:26.060 So, James, what does it look like?

00:24:30.320 Because I think it was Goldman Sachs, it may have been Citibank, that came out and said they're expecting a 30% drop in the value of the U.S. dollar in the next year to 18 months.

00:24:43.640 If they're printing $11 trillion, it's going to be more than that.

00:24:47.660 But what does that mean?

00:24:50.980 Can you help explain to the average person what that means to them?

00:24:55.560 I don't mean people with lots of money.

00:24:58.320 I mean people who are living on the edge.

00:25:00.980 The average person.

00:25:01.880 I mean, look at what happened in January and February of this year.

00:25:07.380 Before the lockdowns, China locked down.

00:25:10.320 And guess what happened?

00:25:11.140 We suddenly realized that all manufacturing, 100% of manufacturing, happened within 200 miles of the Wuhan province.

00:25:21.460 Surprise.

00:25:22.460 We didn't know that.

00:25:23.480 Like people were saying, well, didn't we do something in India or Vietnam?

00:25:26.880 No.

00:25:27.360 It was everything from the drugs that you take to the dresses and clothes you wear to your iPhone to all electronics.

00:25:36.580 It was all coming from China and all the factories shut down.

00:25:40.460 So suddenly we couldn't even get toilet paper.

00:25:43.480 We couldn't get anything.

00:25:44.820 And so what's going to happen is when all your goods are made overseas, but we're paying in dollars where the value of the dollar is going down, everything's going to get more expensive.

00:25:55.200 So a $1,000 iPhone might be $2,000.

00:25:59.000 A drug that costs $100 might cost $300.

00:26:03.260 All of these prices start to go up.

00:26:05.140 But there's a little bit of a battle happening short term, which is that right now the Federal Reserve wants inflation.

00:26:14.220 They're fighting deflation because everyone's been sitting at home not buying anything, not traveling, not doing anything.

00:26:21.140 Businesses are going out of business.

00:26:22.540 There's a danger also the dollar could go – the dollar could deflate in the short term but then inflate in the long term.

00:26:31.620 So basically everybody goes broke and then everything gets more expensive.

00:26:35.660 So that's the scary part.

00:26:37.440 And so the Federal Reserve actually wants to print more money because they want to inflate as fast as possible.

00:26:43.520 The benefit to them of inflating is that they borrow now.

00:26:47.780 They weaken the dollar so we're paying money back in weaker dollars.

00:26:53.060 It's easier to pay back the debt.

00:26:55.200 That's no good though for people at home.

00:26:57.000 You can't get dividends.

00:26:58.180 All your products are going to be more expensive.

00:26:59.940 So the people at home are in trouble, the government gets away with it, and a new generation has to pay back the children of all the people in the rest of the world.

00:27:08.940 So, you know, we have 5% of New York office space being used right now.

00:27:14.340 Is that a true number, 5%?

00:27:17.300 Yeah, and it's going to be less next week if more lockdowns go in place.

00:27:22.160 But, I mean, that's just it, is that right now everybody's going remote.

00:27:26.960 So bandwidth, people say, oh, you know, just like the financial crisis, New York will bounce back.

00:27:32.720 No, it's different because in 2008, 2009, bandwidth was one-tenth the speed of bandwidth now.

00:27:39.980 Now you can actually work remote and be more productive, and that's what companies are realizing, and they can save on cost.

00:27:47.060 They just stop leasing office space.

00:27:48.600 So I tell you, James, I've talked about this.

00:27:51.000 Stu is pointing this out this morning.

00:27:52.360 I talked about this because of a digital revolution that was coming.

00:27:56.620 I've been talking about it for five or six years and describing what it would look like if the transition was sudden and describing New York City.

00:28:06.860 We knew it was going to happen.

00:28:08.940 What it's also taken out, though, is the entrepreneurial spirit in some ways.

00:28:16.460 It's just being crushed.

00:28:18.900 What do you say that entrepreneurs should be looking at in the future?

00:28:22.840 Where does it go from here?

00:28:24.240 Well, you know, it's an important question because there's 128 million workers in the U.S., but 55 million of them filed for unemployment insurance at some point in the past eight months.

00:28:37.320 That's a sad statistic.

00:28:38.800 It shows there's no loyalty in corporations.

00:28:41.800 So entrepreneurship has to be on the mind of many people, particularly young people.

00:28:46.820 Start looking towards who benefits from everybody working remote or everybody moving from the first-tier cities to the second-tier cities.

00:28:56.400 So obviously, online learning is going to benefit, social media management for companies, helping companies pivot from offline to online, working on online newsletters, online courses.

00:29:11.380 Anything relating to remote, relating to media being created remotely, all of these things are going to boom.

00:29:21.580 You know, app development, again, helping companies with their social media management.

00:29:29.440 This is a great time for young people who have been using social media since birth to now step up their skills, start off the way I did, creating an online agency, and building a business to the many people of the older generation who need the help moving remote.

00:29:44.780 So this is a perfect time to be young and be an entrepreneur.

00:29:48.340 James, it is always good to talk to you.

00:29:50.020 Thank you so much for dropping by today.

00:29:52.140 James Altruer.

00:29:52.800 Thank you, Glenn.

00:29:53.660 You bet.

00:29:55.200 Entrepreneur and podcast host and writer of several really great books.

00:30:03.840 You're listening to the best of the Glenn Beck Program.

00:30:14.780 So I don't know if you've been following Max Public House in Grant City, Staten Island, but two guys own this bar and they have been shut down.

00:30:25.200 They've tried to do everything they can.

00:30:27.180 They're going to lose their bar if they have to shut down again.

00:30:30.520 So they decided that they weren't going to shut down.

00:30:33.860 We're not closing it.

00:30:35.320 Well, then the liquor license was revoked.

00:30:38.240 So they said, you know what?

00:30:40.200 We're declaring ourselves an autonomous free zone.

00:30:42.940 It worked in Seattle.

00:30:44.960 Why not here?

00:30:45.720 And we're not going to charge for alcohol or food.

00:30:48.840 Well, it was against the law to serve alcohol if you don't have a license, blah, blah, blah.

00:30:54.760 So I think it was last night or the night before last.

00:30:59.780 The cops were waiting for the owners and Danny Presti walks out.

00:31:05.860 He's one of the owners.

00:31:06.680 He walks out.

00:31:07.940 Cops are there.

00:31:09.780 He runs from the cops, gets into his car.

00:31:12.240 One of the cops, you know, like Beretta, jumps on the hood of his car and goes for a couple of blocks before they stop him and they do arrest him.

00:31:21.180 He's out on bail or he's out of jail without bail.

00:31:24.340 And he's with his attorney here.

00:31:26.460 And we're going to talk to him in just a second.

00:31:28.040 First, I want to play what de Blasio said about Danny.

00:31:31.660 Here it is.

00:31:32.200 But let's be clear.

00:31:34.480 The most important thing is what this guy did.

00:31:36.860 And it was absolutely unacceptable.

00:31:38.900 I'm sure this is a guy who would say he's all in favor of law and order.

00:31:43.560 And, you know, he's making a big deal about what's happened with his bar.

00:31:48.200 Well, guess what?

00:31:48.900 Law and order means when the state of New York says your bar needs to be closed, your bar needs to be closed to protect people's health and safety.

00:31:56.120 No excuses.

00:31:57.120 And when you violate the law, there will be consequences.

00:32:00.160 And then if you take an action against a law enforcement officer, there will be even more consequences. 1.00

00:32:04.460 So this guy is a hypocrite and he's about to pay the price for his hypocrisy. 1.00

00:32:09.160 Boy, talk about a hypocrite. 1.00

00:32:10.940 Bill de Blasio now standing up for the cops and against an autonomous free zone, which is weird. 0.99

00:32:16.640 And let's take him at his word.

00:32:18.900 Let's remember what this is all about.

00:32:21.300 Somebody's business, which involves a hamburger and beer.

00:32:26.180 Let's go now to Danny Priesty or is it Presti, the co-owner of Max Public House and Louie Jellar Meno.

00:32:36.380 Hello, Louie.

00:32:37.280 How are you?

00:32:38.620 I'm good.

00:32:39.500 Thanks for having us, Glenn.

00:32:40.660 Always love your show.

00:32:41.920 Thank you.

00:32:42.320 The first thing I want to address is that they were not cops.

00:32:46.880 They were not NYPD police officers.

00:32:49.420 They were sheriff deputies.

00:32:51.300 And it's in New York City, as it's probably different than down where you guys are throughout the country.

00:32:57.580 In New York City, sheriff's deputies play a different role than NYPD.

00:33:02.900 They're civil enforcement officers.

00:33:05.180 My partner and I have been criminal defense attorneys for over 40 years.

00:33:09.060 We have never dealt with the sheriff's department in a criminal manner.

00:33:15.020 So we want to make perfectly clear the NYPD, Northern New York State Troopers, wanted anything to do with this.

00:33:22.000 That's why they sent de Blasio's personal political hit force to handle this.

00:33:27.960 Well, I tell you, in Texas, sheriffs are the good guys, not the bad guys.

00:33:32.120 So tell me what is happening, because I think there's a lot of people that feel, Danny, exactly like you did, where you guys are trying to keep your business open, and you keep being told no, no, no, and you don't have a choice other than to go to the poorhouse.

00:33:53.300 Am I right?

00:33:53.880 Yeah, that's why this whole thing started in the beginning was because we were left without any options, and it was to bring attention to what's going on to the businesses and how dire it is.

00:34:08.040 And in the beginning, we just tried to bring attention to say, hey, let's try to bring as much noise as we can to try to get the mayor and the governor, and not just here, but across the country, to understand that small businesses need assistance.

00:34:24.840 All these big, big chain places are still thriving, and you're killing the small mom-and-pop places, and we either need assistance if we have to shut down, or you have to help us open in a safe manner.

00:34:38.460 But just the shutdowns and ignoring us and pushing us to the side and killing our livelihoods just wasn't acceptable to us anymore.

00:34:45.100 This is what's happening in California as well, and people are starting to go rogue because they've got nothing left.

00:34:52.560 You have nothing left, and nobody is offering any help.

00:34:56.320 Did you expect this to get to this point?

00:34:59.800 Did you expect to be seeing the inside of a jail?

00:35:04.080 And I didn't know what to expect when we did it.

00:35:07.180 Again, we just knew that something had to happen.

00:35:09.700 So when Keith and I sat down, we decided to do something about it.

00:35:15.140 Did I think that getting arrested two times in one week was going to happen at some point?

00:35:21.340 No.

00:35:22.560 So, Lou, what's the plan from here?

00:35:27.720 How are you going to fight this, and what do you think it means?

00:35:32.540 Well, obviously, on a legal level, we have two issues.

00:35:36.380 We have the criminal case where we're representing Danny, but we also have the civil cases where the sheriffs gave over $50,000 in fines to Mack's public house.

00:35:46.740 I can assure you we'll take care of Danny's criminal cases, but as far as the civil cases go, that we're going to have to battle those.

00:35:54.140 This is certainly something that was unexpected.

00:35:58.460 But I want to assure your viewers, what happened in California was interesting.

00:36:03.540 They had a judge rule that they have to show their signs before they shut businesses down now.

00:36:08.520 We started with lawsuits, Glenn.

00:36:11.600 My partners and I brought four different lawsuits to open the restaurants, and we've been shut down by judges in New York City on each time because, obviously, they're appointed by de Blasio and Cuomo.

00:36:26.140 So, we would love to have a ruling that happened in California.

00:36:31.880 Unfortunately, it seems like going the legal route hasn't been working either.

00:36:37.560 We will continue to do that in the appeal process, but sadly, the small business owners on Staten Island through the rest of the country can't open and still can't open, and they still can't put food on their table.

00:36:50.020 So, it's a sad situation, and I applaud Danny and his partner, Keith, for leading the charge and staying open.

00:36:58.640 Unfortunately, it's ended up in these ridiculous criminal charges.

00:37:03.980 So, I know you guys are doing a GoFundMe.

00:37:06.400 It's Max Fights for Small Businesses.

00:37:11.480 You are trying to raise $500,000.

00:37:14.600 You're currently at about $100,000.

00:37:16.780 And you say that anything that you're not using, you're going to apply that to fight for other small businesses.

00:37:25.760 Is there some sort of an association or is there any group of small businesses that are starting to band together and say, we've got to fight this as one because we're all too small?

00:37:37.840 Well, we started the small business on Staten Island started a business association a while ago.

00:37:47.720 That's who we brought the lawsuits on behalf of.

00:37:51.540 We will continue to bring those lawsuits on their behalf.

00:37:54.240 And I believe there are a lot of people throughout the country starting to form these coalitions so they can have a strong voice into these ridiculous orders by the governors and mayors of these liberal cities.

00:38:10.960 You know, Glenn, it's sad.

00:38:13.860 The virus doesn't know the difference between a red state and a blue state.

00:38:18.640 But it seems that the blue states can't stay open.

00:38:22.940 Their small businesses are shut down.

00:38:24.920 Yet the red states are able to stay open and keep their businesses open. 0.92

00:38:30.980 It's absolutely ridiculous.

00:38:33.100 And it's sad that even the COVID virus has become a political animal. 0.76

00:38:38.180 So I have to ask you this because I am I'm strong with law enforcement that stands with the Constitution and usually that is the sheriffs, et cetera, et cetera.

00:38:50.020 And I I preach against, you know, the people like, you know, all the people that de Blasio has supported and all people like him that go out in the streets and they commit all kinds of crimes.

00:39:02.540 The Black Lives Matter has been responsible now for six thousand injuries with police. 0.66

00:39:08.180 So I have to I just have to ask about the sheriff that was on the roof or on the hood of your car.

00:39:15.680 He did break his collarbone or he broke one bone.

00:39:19.540 Not true.

00:39:20.940 Not absolutely not true.

00:39:23.400 We have 100 percent confirmation that was the sheriff's department trying to change the narrative so the support would leave daddy.

00:39:31.400 Where I have 100 percent confirmation that that same sheriff's deputy that they claim was injured was in the sheriff's office for over four hours process processing the arrest.

00:39:43.940 He did not go to the hospital till after five hours after the incident claiming claiming some injuries.

00:39:50.320 He did not break his legs.

00:39:52.200 He did not break his collarbone.

00:39:54.040 He broke absolutely nothing.

00:39:56.360 We have 100 percent confirmation on that.

00:40:00.040 All right.

00:40:00.740 Thank you, guys.

00:40:01.480 Best of best of luck to you.

00:40:02.980 Yeah, go ahead.

00:40:04.180 If I may say something and I speak on behalf of Danny on this and all the people involved with Max's Public House and my partners, we completely stand with law enforcement, the NYPD, the state troopers.

00:40:16.680 I have many friends and family.

00:40:18.140 My two best friends that I'm around every single day are NYPD detectives.

00:40:22.300 We love those guys.

00:40:23.480 They've been nothing great and supportive from the beginning.

00:40:26.400 The sheriff's deputies play a lot different role in New York City than they do in Texas and the rest of the country.

00:40:34.760 And even through all this, we still wouldn't want to be disrespectful for them, even though they've acted like thugs for the mayor de Blasio.

00:40:45.700 We still haven't been disrespectful to them.

00:40:47.980 We've been cooperative and respectful the whole entire time.

00:40:52.000 Danny had no idea.

00:40:54.260 If you look at the video, Danny had no idea.

00:40:56.540 They were sheriff's deputies.

00:40:58.000 They were dressed in complete black outfits.

00:41:01.020 They came up from behind them and yelled, Presti, and started chasing them from 50 yards away.

00:41:07.500 And any reasonable person would act in the way that Danny reacted.

00:41:12.420 Thank you so much.

00:41:13.880 We'll keep track of your fight and your plight.

00:41:17.820 We wish you the best.

00:41:19.840 If you would like to donate and help out, this is becoming more and more of a problem.

00:41:27.500 And we as small businesses, and I say that as an owner of a small business, a couple of small businesses, we have to stand together and help each other out.

00:41:38.200 You can go to GoFundMe.

00:41:39.800 It's Max Fights for Small Businesses.

00:41:43.640 You'll find that at GoFundMe.

00:41:45.920 Thank you very much, guys.
