00:00:00.000 Welcome to the podcast today. Bill O'Reilly joins us for his weekly appearance. He's got a new book
00:00:05.480 out called Killing the Mob, but we mainly talk about this country we live in is going to stand
00:00:12.000 and all the crazy things that are going on in it. We have that. We also have Dave Rubin on the
00:00:17.100 program today. He was great. We talk about the new COVID guidance, which is different than the
00:00:22.060 old COVID guidance that came out a couple of weeks ago, which you should totally ignore now
00:00:26.900 because the science changed or something. Check it out. Make sure to subscribe to this podcast and
00:00:32.100 to the another great podcast, Stew Does America. It's available right here on this podcast app.
00:00:38.240 Here's the podcast.
00:00:46.740 You're listening to the best of the Glenn Beck program.
00:00:50.720 Yesterday, I spent about 90 minutes with Nikki Haley. Holy cow, is she great. I just love her.
00:01:02.520 She was so strong on the Republicans. She's like, stop it. The Republicans get a clue. You've got to
00:01:10.240 step up. And here's and I said, what's the thing that could bring us all together? She said,
00:01:14.300 the Trump policies. She said they were working. We were energy independent. The world was moving
00:01:21.720 towards peace. Look at what is happening. China was in a cage. And look what we are now. She's like,
00:01:33.740 we must just stand up for the Trump policies and stop being such wussies. And when I asked her,
00:01:43.180 you know, I said, let's just talk, let's just talk about, you know, the pipeline and the ransom that
00:01:50.720 was paid. And Biden saying, you know, there's, there's, you know, it's a private industry. They
00:01:56.760 can pay the ransom or not. I'm convinced that's a shark bump. Sharks, when they come up to you,
00:02:03.720 if you ever happen to be swimming with sharks, which I don't recommend, but if you happen to be
00:02:08.680 swimming, they're going to come up and bump you. And the reason why they bump is because they want
00:02:14.560 to see if your food or not food reacts, you know, a driftwood doesn't. So they come up and they bump
00:02:24.400 you. And if they bump you and you move, they eat you. I'm convinced that the pipeline, it was not
00:02:33.520 intended as a shark bump, but it is now a shark bump and we moved and they are going to eat us.
00:02:40.880 This is, this is like, um, uh, Beirut in the 1980s. What was it? 1985. And, uh, the, uh, uh,
00:02:50.520 radicals, Palestinians, I think went in and they blew up the Marine barracks in, uh, in, uh, Lebanon
00:02:59.100 and all these Marines died. Reagan was the president. The advice to the president was don't
00:03:05.860 do anything. You'll only make it worse. Just move on. Well, we did. And a little young guy named
00:03:14.080 Osama bin Laden watched that and went that little band of terrorists just made the most powerful
00:03:22.680 military on earth move. We can eat them. I think that's what this pipeline was about and the reaction
00:03:32.940 of Biden. I now understand. Let me play, uh, let me play a little Nikki Haley. Yeah. You know what I'm
00:03:41.060 saying? Here's Nikki Haley from the podcast that is available now to blaze subscribers. Uh, and it
00:03:48.420 comes out every Thursday for blaze TV subscribers. If you're not a subscriber, wherever you get your
00:03:53.260 podcast, you'll be able to hear this on Saturday. You are really going to like, uh, what she has to
00:04:00.140 say and what she believes we should do and the trouble that is being caused by Joe Biden.
00:04:07.180 Here's what keeps her up at night. Listen to this. Somebody asked me what keeps you up at night.
00:04:11.880 The thing that keeps me up at night is China. And the reason that China keeps me up at night
00:04:17.340 is just look at this scenario that they've given us. Um, when I was at the United Nations,
00:04:24.100 my first year, they were what we knew of China, which was quiet. They didn't want any public
00:04:30.960 interaction. They, you know, talk to things, you know, simply no fanfare. They didn't want anything.
00:04:37.180 Once president, she made himself King got rid of term limits. All of that changed overnight. They
00:04:44.820 started infiltrating the UN trying to become heads of different agencies. They started putting their
00:04:50.120 fingers in countries' faces, threatening to, um, saying you better vote with us or else. They just
00:04:56.060 got extremely aggressive, more vocal, all of that. They are now building up their military. They have
00:05:02.520 the largest Naval fleet in the world. They have more air defense systems. They're modernizing their
00:05:06.640 military. We're not. They continue to steal intellectual property. President Trump was right to call them
00:05:12.500 out on that. It's only as good as if we follow up on it. The human rights abuses. This isn't just
00:05:18.780 another human rights abuse. This is very telling. Here you have a million Muslim Uyghurs in concentration
00:05:24.840 camps, making them change their name, change their religion, forcing them to drink, which is against
00:05:28.920 their religion, sexual abuse, physical abuse. We said that we would never again turn our eyes away
00:05:37.960 from genocide. What is happening there now? It's the reason why I think we should boycott the Olympics.
00:05:44.240 When China did the last Olympics, it was very much known that China saw it as their coming out party.
00:05:50.300 When this Beijing Olympics happens, they are planning that this is going to be them showing the world that
00:05:57.560 they are the new superpower of the world. And you mark my words, after that Olympics, if everything goes
00:06:03.820 smooth, they're going to take Taiwan. And when they take Taiwan, it's over. It's over.
00:06:09.520 What does that mean? What does that mean? It's over.
00:06:11.880 Because if they, so they already tried it with Hong Kong to see if anybody was going to do anything.
00:06:16.900 And we didn't really do anything. If they take Taiwan, then it's, then it's not about their region
00:06:22.580 anymore. Then they're going to just go start taking other places. Then you're going to start seeing them
00:06:27.600 eat up other countries, even though they can't lay claim to them, they will. And that's the danger of
00:06:34.620 it. You know, then you go a step further. They have, you know, invested in all of these little
00:06:40.340 properties. These are frivolous infrastructure projects that they're doing. They do it in these
00:06:44.780 little countries waiting for such a time as this, when COVID hits, run up the debt. And then they say,
00:06:50.440 you can't pay it back. Give us your military installation. Give us your port. Give us your utility.
00:06:56.280 Now you look at that map, it'll send a chill up your spine. But the one that I think is the worst
00:07:01.940 president, she started a commission years ago that he personally chairs that says any company that does
00:07:08.240 business in China has to cooperate with the Chinese military. Now think about our tech companies,
00:07:14.860 think about the health data, think about our personal data, think about our families and think
00:07:19.640 that the Chinese military has that. This played out in real time during COVID when two
00:07:26.120 American companies, 3M and Honeywell, producing PPE, China would not let them send it to us or any
00:07:34.220 other country. Instead, they bought it wholesale and said, we will only give it to countries who
00:07:39.180 agree to do business with Huawei or 5G network. That is the country we're dealing with.
00:07:44.780 Okay, there's enough there to keep you up at night for the next decade. Did you know that about the PPEs
00:07:54.960 and the American companies that couldn't send it to us? No, that's really bad. I mean, considering,
00:08:02.820 especially considering they basically started this entire thing. Right. Right. Like they should have
00:08:07.880 been running to try to help everyone in every way possible, but they don't care. Yeah. Her point is,
00:08:15.400 is that they're not, they're not afraid, especially now with Joe Biden and his son in office. They're not
00:08:21.060 afraid of us. And she's right. If they go into Taiwan, which I think they will do, we're not going to do
00:08:29.420 anything. We wouldn't do anything under this administration. If we don't do anything, they
00:08:34.940 will begin to eat. The world will be a smorgasbord for them. This is the best of the Glenn Beck
00:08:45.560 program. So I don't know if you've heard this amazing story from DC. I'm sure you have. It's,
00:08:56.820 I mean, Kevin Bacon in footloose, the DC band now on dancing at weddings. Well, one bride said,
00:09:06.440 I'm not, no, sorry. I'm dancing at my wedding. And there were, there were no exceptions. I mean,
00:09:13.260 not outside, not vaccinated, not double mass, nothing, no exceptions. Well, when I say that,
00:09:19.660 that's not entirely true. I mean, there were, you know, uh, you know, they, they were still going
00:09:27.200 to allow, uh, dancing, you know, uh, at, uh, Zumba classes and, uh, strip clubs. You could also dance
00:09:35.020 there. So, but not at a wedding. Well, the bride had enough. She called, uh, the, uh, Hamilton Lincoln
00:09:43.720 Law Institute and, uh, got herself an attorney and the attorney happens to be the director of the
00:09:51.240 Hamilton Lincoln Law Institute. His name is Theodore Frank. Uh, Ted, welcome to the, uh, may I call you
00:09:57.440 Ted or do you prefer Theodore? Uh, please. Ted is perfect. Thank you. Okay. Uh, pleasure to be here.
00:10:03.380 Thank you. So, so tell me, go ahead. No, I, I just want to give credit to my, uh, co-counsel,
00:10:10.680 Adam Shulman and, and the folks at the Liberty Justice Center. Okay. So tell, so tell me that
00:10:17.820 this is an incredible, uh, story to happen here in America. I feel like it's, I don't know, uh, 1950
00:10:23.740 or something. Uh, tell me about this. Yeah. I mean, you just had this really arbitrary decision by
00:10:33.480 the mayor's office and, and we had a client who'd been vaccinated. Uh, she'd been very careful.
00:10:40.680 throughout the pandemic. Uh, she was sewing together masks when the CDC was still telling
00:10:46.900 people don't wear masks. Uh, and, and to, you know, she had the wedding set up. She had limited
00:10:56.100 the guest list to 70 to, to, to, to meet, um, social distancing requirements and capacity restrictions
00:11:03.640 and, and, and to, to have the rug pulled out under her just a few weeks before her wedding
00:11:09.900 upset her. So, um, I would imagine, I would imagine it did. And don't mess with a bride,
00:11:16.720 uh, just a few weeks before her wedding. Uh, so, so when you guys took the case, uh, that there
00:11:25.480 was, there were no exceptions. I mean, unless she was going to be in a strip club, right?
00:11:30.380 That's exactly right. And, you know, somebody suggested to us, Hey, why, why don't you just
00:11:36.620 hold the wedding there? But, you know, this isn't just, uh, you know, can, can sneak onto
00:11:42.940 the dance floor and start dancing, you know, the, the venue, you know, doesn't want to lose
00:11:47.720 its license and, and, and, and, and, you know, and, and she had a contractual obligation to
00:11:53.580 be, uh, following the venue's COVID restrictions. So, uh, the only way to get out of this is,
00:12:00.860 is, is, uh, to, to get the, the district of Columbia to, to remove its restrictions.
00:12:10.100 It's odd that they are doing it, that they did this now. I mean, a year ago. Okay. But why now?
00:12:18.720 Well, I, I, you know, some of it was, um, you know, DC had completely shut down so that
00:12:27.840 there, there weren't any venues until a few months ago. And, uh, but what we've learned
00:12:35.500 over the last year is, is that our public health bureaucracy doesn't really know what
00:12:39.320 they're doing and arbitrary restrictions that don't make sense. And, you know, we we've had
00:12:50.020 all the, this, uh, hygiene theater, uh, about closing playgrounds down, even though outdoors
00:12:56.200 is exactly where you want to be during a pandemic. Um, and, and this is all very counterproductive
00:13:03.740 to, to, to sort of say, it doesn't matter if you're vaccinated. Uh, you know, you, you
00:13:09.440 want to encourage people to be vaccinated. That's how we get rid of this thing. And, and,
00:13:14.360 and to say, Oh, it doesn't matter if you're vaccinated. It doesn't matter if your guests
00:13:17.600 are vaccinated. We still have to pretend like, uh, like you, you'd be a vaccinated bride and
00:13:24.100 a vaccinated groom are going to spread cooties. And it's just dumbfounding. And, and so, uh,
00:13:32.280 we were very, we're very privileged to, to get to bring this, this litigation. And, and we hope
00:13:39.240 that, uh, just the threat of litigation gets DC to back down. Okay. So they already have
00:13:45.360 backed down. They've made a, they've, they've given a press conference and said, where, you
00:13:50.840 know, the things are changing and we're not going to do that. Um, but that's, that's really
00:13:56.260 probably not good enough. Is it? That's the problem, right? They've, they've given the
00:14:02.000 press conference, uh, we're, we're looking for better written assurances. Um, they, we'll,
00:14:11.020 we'll see what DC does. We're ready to, to file the motion for an injunction. If, uh, DC
00:14:16.900 does, isn't consistent with the press conference. Of course, you know, a press conference isn't
00:14:21.920 legally binding. You can't take a press conference to the venue, but given that even the CDC, uh,
00:14:28.260 has just opened things up really dramatically, uh, in, in, in the last week, uh, in the last
00:14:35.300 24 hours, uh, we, we expect DC to, to, to keep its word. Um, and, um, the embarrassment,
00:14:45.280 uh, of, of, of just a really insane regulation, I, I think, uh, and getting called out on it has,
00:14:52.400 has, has gotten them to back down. So Ted, I, I've, I'm, I used to, I used to believe in a lot
00:14:59.220 of things, including the rule of law here. Um, but I'm, I'm not so sure anymore. What are the
00:15:05.320 ramifications to the rest of us? If this case is lost? Oh, we're, we're not going to lose. Uh, but,
00:15:14.820 uh, you know, to the extent that, uh, government can impose arbitrary restrictions, uh, on, on,
00:15:28.220 on speech, that's obviously very, very bad. Uh, but so what is it? What are the, if you say
00:15:33.740 we're not going to, you're not going to lose, what are the ramifications for the rest of us
00:15:38.580 when you win? Well, I, I, I, I think it's, it's, it's, this is pretty straightforward black
00:15:47.340 letter law that you can't have these sorts of, that, that dancing is, is a component of expressive
00:15:53.100 speech and you can't have speech restrictions when, when there are, there are less restrictive
00:15:58.160 alternatives available, um, and that, that accomplish the same goals. And so we, we have,
00:16:07.800 we're, we're very confident that DC will either back down or that we will win in court. Uh, we're
00:16:14.360 very confident that Margaret will get to dance at her wedding. Uh, and, uh, and it's a good thing
00:16:22.660 when, when, when courts are enforcing the bill of rights. I have to tell you, I'm, I'm, I'm glad that
00:16:29.040 she is, uh, you know, uh, just for political purposes. I'm glad she's not an anti-vaxxer and,
00:16:36.500 you know, all of those things. Cause it would have been lost, uh, with all of that. I'm glad
00:16:41.040 she was somebody that was sewing masks to double up on the mask and following all the rules. Uh,
00:16:46.700 and, uh, you know, and now is standing up against the insanity that is affecting all of us. Thank
00:16:52.920 you so much, Ted. I appreciate it. Thanks for having us on the show. You bet. Bye-bye.
00:16:58.040 It's nuts. Nuts. I, did you read the, did you see the tweet from president Biden last night?
00:17:11.660 The one where he just said,
00:17:12.840 No, you know, I mean the, the one thing you knew about, uh, president Trump was he was in charge of
00:17:26.380 his Twitter. Yeah. You know, he, he was, he was doing that. Um, yeah, but what is, uh, what's really
00:17:33.780 not clear is who is tweeting for him. So I, I think this was to some 20 something that just said,
00:17:40.800 Oh, the rule is, is now simple. Get vaccinated or wear a mask until you do. The choice is yours.
00:17:48.040 We're going to come out of the house and get you. I mean, I think this was some 20 year old that was,
00:17:53.980 you know, in charge of his Twitter feed last night. I can, I couldn't believe the arrogance.
00:18:00.180 Couldn't believe the arrogance. So many things that are, are, are infuriating about it. Obviously,
00:18:04.980 like as we pointed out earlier, this is the United States of America. You don't, the, the,
00:18:09.820 the president has no constitutional power whatsoever to make rules that would apply to us in this
00:18:17.220 manner. Uh, so even if you want to say, well, then the States should apply his guidance into
00:18:22.300 laws. Well, then it still wouldn't be the president of the United States doing this. But beyond all of
00:18:27.560 that, like he acts as if, come on guys, this is easy. What the hell are you talking about? You had
00:18:33.200 different guidance two weeks ago. You guys have changed your opinion on this 500,000 times. It's
00:18:40.140 not easy at all. People, can't you understand why people would be totally, uh, out in the dark on
00:18:47.020 this? Why do you think they changed it? I mean, because literally just a couple of weeks, we've
00:18:52.400 been saying this since the vaccine was out. Yeah. You should just tell everybody. Yeah. Yeah.
00:18:57.240 Get a vaccine and go back to work, take the mask off. Yep. And they didn't and didn't and didn't and
00:19:02.540 didn't. Uh, you know, Fauci was like, maybe next mother's day we'll be able to, you know,
00:19:08.920 kiss mom through the mask and maybe only one plate of glass. Right. Uh, you know, I mean,
00:19:16.400 and now all of a sudden the CDC is like, Nope, you're good. You know, take the mask off.
00:19:21.740 I don't know what the reasoning is. I mean, obviously eventually this had to happen,
00:19:25.440 right. Uh, you know, there's people who've been saying for a while that like, Oh, they're
00:19:29.000 never going to remove these restrictions. I mean, I don't think that was ever real. And
00:19:33.520 I think that this is giving Biden being president gives blue States the opportunity to take these
00:19:39.260 restrictions off because before they couldn't admit that Trump had any success or anything
00:19:44.340 was positive. So now that Biden's president, they can now take the masks off and claim like,
00:19:48.840 Oh, finally Biden's here to save the day. I do think that like there has been over the
00:19:53.880 past couple of weeks, seemingly legitimate pushback from media members, questioning them
00:20:00.380 and hammering them on this point. And it was, we've been doing it forever and they never listened
00:20:05.300 when the media. And I think it's because the media, they, those people in the media are now
00:20:10.420 vaccinated and they want to go back to doing, uh, you know, what they want to do.
00:20:15.220 I don't think anybody, I don't think anybody at CNN did. I mean, Sanjay Gupta was like,
00:20:20.980 I'm practically in tears last night. It's our national nightmare. I mean, can we take the mask
00:20:28.400 off? Should we take the mask off? I can't wait to take the mask off, but I'm not sure if we can
00:20:33.180 take it off. There's all sorts of goblins in these people's heads about, about whether they can take
00:20:38.100 it off. But I think like, they don't want to be the victim of, uh, of a shaming online when they're
00:20:42.700 seen outside without a mask on. And so they want to be able, they have to be told, they've been
00:20:47.960 totally telling you the entire time you have to listen to science. It's so easy. Just listen to
00:20:52.120 what the government says. So they need the government to say that it's okay. Even though
00:20:56.380 they all know it's okay. They need the government to tell them that they can, their lives can go on
00:21:02.240 as normal. Unlike a lot of people in red States who say, you know what, look, we've looked at this.
00:21:08.220 We've understood, we've understood this a lot better than we did March, 2020. And we understand now,
00:21:14.240 look at, look at the science. It clearly states that once you're vaccinated, you are in really
00:21:19.720 good shape to go out with almost no risk whatsoever. So people are doing it and they're doing it all
00:21:26.220 over the place. And the media, I think knows they know this is nonsense. And the CDC is being way too
00:21:32.680 careful for God knows what reason they've admitted more or less that it's because they don't want to
00:21:38.580 change the culture yet. They don't, they want mask culture to continue. It's why Kamala Harris is
00:21:45.420 posting pictures of herself on a zoom call with a mask on. Uh, and you know, look, I, I think they
00:21:51.580 all know just like we all know that this is craziness. Uh, and finally they're admitting it.
00:21:57.980 I don't know if it's the pressure there have been, there have been actual interviews of people
00:22:01.700 pushing back on them on this. Maybe that's part of it. Maybe it's just complete embarrassment.
00:22:07.060 Uh, I don't know. Maybe the American people have shamed them successfully.
00:22:09.660 I don't even know what, I honestly don't even know why I asked you. I'm sorry. I,
00:22:13.820 I asked a known grandmother killer, uh, for his advice on masks.
00:22:23.980 You're listening to the best of the Glenn Beck program.
00:22:31.700 Mr. Dave Rubin from the Rubin report and the author of don't burn this book.
00:22:41.660 Welcome to the program, Dave. How are you?
00:22:43.980 I'm good. It's good to see you guys. It's good to be here in the free state of Texas
00:22:49.060 and the free city of Dallas.
00:22:52.020 When are you just going to pull the trigger and come to paradise?
00:22:58.080 Glenn, you know, I'm a glutton for punishment. I lasted in the
00:23:01.560 left for a long time. I was part of the machine and I have a high tolerance for insanity. And I
00:23:06.860 think that that has kept me there longer than I should be. I mean, trust me, every piece of me
00:23:13.260 wants to move at this. Look, there's two reasons. Basically you stay in LA. One obviously is the
00:23:19.360 weather. And then the previous piece in Los Angeles in SoCal was that Hollywood and the biz,
00:23:24.840 the business that were all sort of ancillarily. And if you're in politics and media that was there,
00:23:30.160 that has completely collapsed. Now the weather is still nice, but it's not enough. And I'm trying
00:23:37.480 to figure out what to do, but you know, like you, I own a couple of businesses and it's not just me
00:23:41.540 picking up and leaving tomorrow. It takes a lot of different things. So we're talking about it
00:23:46.640 because it's depressing there. It's depressing. It's sort of, it's not as bad as New York city.
00:23:51.460 I heard you and Bill O'Reilly a few minutes ago in New York city is just beyond it's dystopian at this
00:23:56.980 point. But LA has some level of zombie apocalypse to it. In five years, if they continue down this
00:24:04.080 path, it really could be escaped from New York. Yeah. I mean, yeah, I was in, I lived for most of
00:24:10.480 my adult life in Manhattan. So I, as Bill was saying, you know, it's like, I know Manhattan.
00:24:15.580 I love Manhattan to be in Midtown was scary. It was legitimately scary because every, first off,
00:24:21.680 you know, everyone's got the mask. Everyone's walking alone because no one's going anywhere. You know,
00:24:25.980 like they're doing little errands maybe, but no one's going out anywhere really. So everyone's
00:24:30.280 alone with the mask kind of head down. There's board, you know, uh, you got barricades all over
00:24:35.540 the place, cops all over the place. It's dirty. You know, things are boarded up. That is not New
00:24:40.540 York city, the greatest city in the entire world in the history of the world. I mean, the cultural
00:24:45.500 capital of the world, man, not now. Yeah. And LA man. And you know what they're saying there,
00:24:51.080 they're saying they're opening up Broadway and everything else. But I honestly don't
00:24:55.700 know if New Yorkers are going to be able to deal with it. There is such an identity
00:25:00.580 with the mask and isolation. It has become, it really has, I think, become a religion for
00:25:07.800 so many people. I mean, it's why Cuomo has been saying, we got to follow the science, got
00:25:11.440 to follow the science. And then what does he do? See a CDC comes out and says, okay, get
00:25:17.340 vaccinated. Don't, don't wear a mask. And he says, well, well, well, well, we're not ready for that
00:25:22.180 yet. Yeah. I don't think, I don't think it's hyperbolic. I don't think it's hyperbolic at this
00:25:26.340 point to say there was virtually no science behind any of this, that the lockdowns did absolutely
00:25:31.620 nothing. I mean, we know that we absolutely know that the lockdowns did nothing. They have
00:25:36.000 inflicted a psychological condition on people to now make us afraid of each other, to make us turn
00:25:43.080 on each other. And I'm, what I'm afraid is what have they seated us with? What is next?
00:25:47.700 What did they just do to us that they could make us do things that are unimaginable, you know,
00:25:53.000 months or years from now? So I said this last hour, um, and there's probably a much better analogy, but
00:25:59.980 the absence of a mask on somebody has become almost like a yellow star. Uh, so many people on the liberal
00:26:10.520 side, see the mask as a sign that you're part of the party. And when you, when you're not wearing a
00:26:18.940 mask, you're a problem. And they've been shaming us. They've been side-eyeing us, uh, speaking out,
00:26:27.320 calling us names. How do they remove that mask? Because it has become part of the identity of
00:26:34.500 the party. Well, Glenn, that goes directly to the danger that they've been doing for years now,
00:26:39.680 which was calling us all racist and bigots and Nazis. And I know that you personally, you Glenn,
00:26:44.500 you've gotten into hot water from the lefty media at times for making the Nazi analogy.
00:26:49.420 And I completely agree with you on this. They are that when you make the Nazi analogy, I mean,
00:26:54.080 the irony is these are the people who call all of us Nazis, but the Nazis didn't just show up one
00:26:58.540 day. It didn't just show up one day. Yes. It is a process of othering people saying the worst
00:27:05.740 things about people. And now it's not just that our political views are odious and should be silenced
00:27:11.200 and kicked off big tech and everything else. It's that we are literally killing people by not wearing
00:27:16.680 masks, by not bowing to these people. And, and who is, who's actually the ones that are instigating the
00:27:24.320 hate? It's, it's them. You want to wear a mask, wear a mask. You want to get vaccinated, get vaccinated.
00:27:29.080 That's all on you. Live your life. And you can be pro vaccination and be vaccinated and pro mask
00:27:37.800 and still have that a point of view. Sure. I mean, sure. But that's because I don't think so.
00:27:42.980 Well, because that's because we respect individual rights. We respect freedom and liberty. And what
00:27:47.560 they respect is power and control. But I think you're making a good point. You know, this is one of
00:27:53.080 those people get very upset when people make any sort of Nazi reference or Holocaust reference coming,
00:27:58.300 say from our side, even though they do it all the time. But yes, at some point it becomes you've
00:28:04.100 othered people into they're not even people anymore. And what do you do with those not people?
00:28:11.340 So I, you know, I was going to talk to you about this later if we had time, but since we're talking
00:28:16.200 about this, I am so sick and tired of being called a Nazi. I'm so sick and tired of becoming a being
00:28:22.160 called an anti-Semite by the left. When the tweets about the attack on Jerusalem, I mean, I read this
00:28:32.220 yesterday. I don't know if you saw this, but a Muslim actress, she, and I'm quoting, this is what
00:28:40.920 she tweeted. I would have killed all the Jews of the world, but I kept some to show the world why I
00:28:48.420 killed them. Adolf Hitler. Who's the Nazi here? Yeah, this is a anti-Semite blue check person on
00:28:57.140 Twitter. You're allowed to do it. You know, Trump's not allowed to be on Twitter. Yeah. I mean, the
00:29:01.120 amount of crazy hate that I'm seeing on Twitter is off the charts. Look, you know, Glenn, first off,
00:29:05.700 the idea that you would be called this, you've been such an incredible friend to the Jewish people,
00:29:10.900 to Israel, to truth and history and all of those things. But what's happening is, you know, we've
00:29:15.900 been in a nonstop war on reality that has morphed into a full on war on truth. Nobody understands
00:29:22.660 history. Nobody understands geography. You know, if you listen to the way the mainstream media talks
00:29:27.640 about it, they seem like they're talking about this massive, ever expanding country, Israel. I mean,
00:29:32.840 you've been there many times. It's the size of New Jersey that at some point without the West Bank is
00:29:37.540 about six miles wide. You can drive across it in a couple hours north to south. You could drive
00:29:42.240 several times in a day. It's obscenely tiny. There is one tiny little nation state for the Jews. There
00:29:49.780 are many states that are Christian dominated, many states that are Muslim dominated. And this is just
00:29:55.100 the never ending battle for the Jews have a 5,000 year brutal history and somehow have stuck around.
00:30:01.520 So I know the Israelis will stick around and I know they're smart enough to stick around and have
00:30:05.440 the will to live, but watching the left just completely become everything I've been saying
00:30:11.020 it is and the vile stuff from Omar and Tlaib and these, these people, it's, it's incredible.
00:30:17.060 That's why I love talking to you, Dave, because I, I could have a plan for a conversation,
00:30:20.800 but it always goes off the rails because you're so fascinating. Let me, uh, let me, let me ask you
00:30:26.000 this as I was thinking about it. You're, you're, you're an agnostic, right?
00:30:31.040 No, I wouldn't say I'm agnostic anymore. No, I'm a believer. I'm a believer. I'll tell you
00:30:35.980 something. Did you see, did you happen to see a clip, uh, that was viral about a week or two ago
00:30:40.800 with, uh, Jordan Peterson on Tucker Carlson's, uh, Fox nation show. Did you happen to see it?
00:30:45.460 Yeah, that was great.
00:30:46.120 No.
00:30:46.400 So there's, there's an incredible clip. Maybe your guys could pull it up if, if we could
00:30:50.020 snag the audio if possible, but basically what Jordan says, and I think it's the best
00:30:55.020 explanation of faith that I have heard that, that makes sense to me. He said that when he
00:31:00.040 was 25 years old, he started telling the truth because he started to believe that the truth,
00:31:05.360 no matter the cost would be better than any alternative. Meaning that if you say the truth
00:31:10.480 for truth's sake, that, that no matter, it doesn't mean good things are going to happen,
00:31:15.060 but it will be the best option, no matter what the lie you put out there is. And then what he went
00:31:19.680 on to say was, and this is, this is the key part. He said that doing that, believing in truth for
00:31:25.340 truth's sake and not going along with the lie, that that is the ultimate expression of faith
00:31:30.060 because that is taking a leap of faith for truth. And, and I've heard him say some version of that
00:31:36.860 many times. Obviously I was on tour with him for a year and a half, but I thought the succinct way,
00:31:40.600 and hopefully I gave it some slight justice there. That makes sense to me. Truth for truth's sake,
00:31:46.280 no matter what. And, and that is faith. That is faith. You're, I think you're exactly right. I
00:31:53.520 think he was right. Let's play the clip real quick. You make your decisions in life. And I decided when
00:31:58.820 I was very young, I'm in my mid twenties, that I was going to say what I believed and see what
00:32:03.480 happened. I talked to you earlier in the talk about adventure, you know, about the adventure of
00:32:09.020 truth. And I don't think, think I'm happy about what has happened. And I certainly have dragged my
00:32:14.860 family through their fair share of, well, both hell and, and also incomprehensible opportunity.
00:32:21.100 It's expanded our lives in both directions to a tremendous degree, but it's certainly been an
00:32:27.140 adventure. It's not been dull. And I don't believe that it, I don't believe that it was a mistake.
00:32:34.040 Whatever happens as a consequence of telling the truth is the best thing that can happen.
00:32:38.660 It doesn't really matter how it looks to you at the moment, or maybe even across the years,
00:32:44.100 because you have to, it's a, it's a, it's a, it's an article of faith in some sense.
00:32:48.020 Do you believe that reality is better constituted as a consequence of truth or falsity?
00:32:53.800 If you believe that reality is best constituted as a consequence of truth,
00:32:58.980 then you have a responsibility to speak the truth. And you can't assess the consequences and say,
00:33:05.500 well, that was a mistake because part of the decision that reality is best constituted
00:33:10.820 as a consequence of the truth is the decision that no matter what happens is the best,
00:33:15.740 if it's a consequence of telling the truth. Yes. And so that's what I conclude. It's like,
00:33:21.520 it's great. Okay. So I think, you know, Dave, I don't know if you know this, do you know that the,
00:33:27.140 why the blaze is called the blaze? You know why I named it that?
00:33:31.600 I'm sure I should know. I'm sure I should know. And I probably do know, but please tell me.
00:33:36.920 No, it was a private, it was a private decision. I've talked about it a few times, but a private
00:33:41.140 decision. Um, I called it the blaze because I believe when you stand in the fire of the truth,
00:33:50.120 it's a God thing. When you stand in the truth, it purifies you because you can't have any lies,
00:33:58.220 a part of your life. You can't, it, it, it, those will burn you up. But when you stand firmly in the
00:34:04.740 truth, that fire won't destroy you. It destroys everything else that is lies. Um, and it is a,
00:34:13.740 it's really is an article of faith. I believe that the truth wins.
00:34:19.420 That's it. Eventually. That's the key part that the truth for truth's sake,
00:34:23.720 that you have to take a leap of faith to believe that, right? Because we don't have empirical
00:34:28.400 evidence that just, if you tell the truth, things will work out. And that's actually
00:34:31.260 not what Jordan saying. He's not every, right. You do, you have no guarantee and bad things will
00:34:37.420 happen for sure, but they will be the best possible consequence because you went for truth. That to me
00:34:44.060 is such a, it's such a human granular, decent explanation of faith that that I believe that I
00:34:53.540 believe in that. And I also believe in things that are beyond me. So Dave talking about truth. I mean,
00:34:59.060 there are things that for instance, you know, you can, you can be a climate denier as they call it.
00:35:06.980 Um, but you, you have to accept that there are certain things that are true that show, you know,
00:35:15.440 the temperature is rising, blah, blah, blah. What that means is, is, is different than the facts.
00:35:21.580 So when, when people on the left see the facts of, of Israel and it being foretold and everything
00:35:31.460 else, how do you dismiss that? Well, Glenn, first off, so many of the people on the left don't
00:35:37.840 believe in facts. And that goes to what I was talking about before about a war on truth. Like,
00:35:42.940 for example, I'll tell you a few facts right now and let's see if we can agree on facts.
00:35:46.820 There was never a country known as Palestine. Is that true or false? True. That is true. There
00:35:52.320 was no country ever known as Palestine. There was an area that was part of the Ottoman empire for
00:35:57.380 hundreds of years. That was then part of the British empire. And when the British left, they
00:36:01.800 said to the Jews that were there and to the Arabs, they said, we're going to split this thing. It's
00:36:05.960 the 1947 partition plan. We're going to split this thing. Do you guys accept, you know, you'll take
00:36:11.200 your country, you'll take yours. By the way, they didn't say it to Palestinians because there were no
00:36:14.520 people known as Palestinians. There were Arabs who lived in that area. Well, the Jews said yes.
00:36:19.940 The Arabs said no. And then a war happened. And then thus Israel was born. Now, if you can't even
00:36:26.680 have this conversation when people are saying, well, they're occupying Palestine. Well, you say,
00:36:32.020 okay, well, who was the prime minister of Palestine? Who was the president of Palestine?
00:36:35.600 What did the nation look like? They can't even accept that. I mean, if you literally say just
00:36:40.680 that, they will, you know, call you all of the worst things. Even if you think about what's
00:36:44.760 happening right now, it's like, if, if, if there was a genocide happening, Jews are generally pretty
00:36:50.460 good at math. This is the worst genocide of all time. The Gaza population is exploding. It goes up
00:36:56.220 every year as does the Arab population in the West bank. Also don't forget there's a border of Gaza
00:37:02.900 with Egypt because Gaza used to be part of Egypt until they attacked Israel and lost Gaza.
00:37:09.100 Well, if Israel was slaughtering all of these people, you'd think that their Egyptian brothers
00:37:14.000 might open up the border. But Glenn, as I'm sure, you know, Egypt bombed the hell out of the border
00:37:18.160 to keep them there because they don't want them. And they filled tunnels up with water and they blew
00:37:22.840 up houses and all that. So that's a little offshoot of from what your question is related to.
00:37:28.440 Are you trying to connect this to the faith thing? I'm trying to get it to that. Even if you were to
00:37:32.220 tell basic truths to people, they'll just say, no, they'll just, no, no, can't be. And they don't want to
00:37:37.620 hear it. They don't want to hear it. So that's why so much of what we've been fighting is an erasure
00:37:41.560 of history as well. They don't want to know basic history because they have to fit everything to
00:37:45.780 their narrative rather than fit history into reality. It is. And then again, you have to deny
00:37:53.440 history. Again, you have to deny facts. Every time that happens, you do see genocide. Every time
00:38:00.940 someone tries to change or erase history and force people to do things, genocide happens.
00:38:07.200 Of course. And let's, even if you removed who was there first, removed the Bible, removed everything,
00:38:12.880 let's just say there was a completely 50, 50, who's wrong, who's right. And people are bombing
00:38:18.620 each other. Well, the new meme of the left is, oh, Israel is disproportionate in their use of force.
00:38:24.580 That the implication is that you should be proportionate in force. So if someone comes
00:38:29.560 to your house to stab you, you should only stab them equally. It's psychotic. It's absolutely
00:38:35.260 psychotic. By the way, the United States has never been disproportionate in force. Colin Powell had
00:38:40.140 the Powell doctrine, which was that if you attack a country, if whatever military action you do,
00:38:45.700 you do it with overwhelming force. So it doesn't happen again.
00:38:49.080 And otherwise you continue to fight. You want to slowly believe, go ahead.
00:38:54.440 Right. You'll be fighting forever.
