00:00:33.400 We are doing the actual debate tonight live on Blaze Media.

00:00:37.600 We have the CNN presidential debate.

00:00:39.720 It'll run uninterrupted.

00:00:41.180 Don't give them the ratings.

00:00:42.200 Just come to Blaze TV.

00:00:44.020 And all of the analysis from all of the best of the Blaze tonight.

00:00:49.080 Today, we had Steve Dace.

00:00:51.180 We had Laura Trump on with us. 0.90

00:00:53.460 And we covered all aspects of it in today's podcast.

00:00:57.240 First, let me tell you about the burner launcher.

00:01:00.180 It's the middle of the night.

00:01:01.300 Blue and red lights come flashing through your windows from police cars outside.

00:01:05.240 Everywhere, everywhere in your living room, there is a crime scene tape.

00:01:09.920 An officer with a notebook is asking you all kinds of questions.

00:01:13.760 You heard a noise in the living room.

00:01:15.200 Yes, you assumed it was a burglar, exercising your Second Amendment right.

00:01:19.940 You came out.

00:01:21.140 You warned.

00:01:23.340 And apparently, you sent the cat to meet Jesus.

00:01:29.700 I mean, or whoever cats meet in the afterlife.

00:01:33.420 Okay.

00:01:34.040 Could have been a much bigger loss. 1.00

00:01:36.400 When you are pulling a gun, you have to make sure that you are qualified to shoot it, to shoot it accurately, and to shoot to kill. 0.99

00:01:45.260 Is that what you always need? 0.98

00:01:48.220 I tell you, in the situations on the streets in America today, and especially if you live in a place like Los Angeles or California or Chicago or really any place,

00:01:58.360 you can carry a burner launcher legally, and there's no permits, there's nothing that you need to carry a burner launcher.

00:02:07.500 And that launches tear gas up to 60 feet.

00:02:10.860 It'll stop people dead in their tracks up to 60 feet and incapacitate them for about 40 minutes.

00:02:18.000 Visit burner.com slash Glenn.

00:02:21.060 B-Y-R-N-A dot com slash Glenn.

00:02:24.180 10% off your purchase.

00:02:25.540 It's burner.com slash Glenn.

00:02:27.600 10% off.

00:02:28.680 Check them out now.

00:02:29.620 B-Y-R-N-A dot com slash Glenn.

00:02:40.300 You're listening to The Best of the Glenn Beck Program.

00:02:44.940 Laura Trump, welcome to the program.

00:02:47.080 It's glad to have you.

00:02:47.920 We're glad to have you here.

00:02:50.480 Oh, well, good morning.

00:02:51.600 Thank you.

00:02:52.040 Great to be with you.

00:02:53.440 Thank you.

00:02:54.040 So I have to ask a question on the RNC quickly.

00:02:59.120 You know, the RNC is loaded with people that are not really, don't have necessarily the best interest in mind for the Republican Party and conservative values.

00:03:13.520 I was so glad to see that you were the co-chair.

00:03:16.620 Are you cleaning house on some of these people?

00:03:20.160 And are we doing enough to ensure the integrity of this election?

00:03:25.300 Well, I was going to change one word you had in that.

00:03:31.740 Oh, is she there?

00:03:33.300 We lost her?

00:03:35.040 Is it just me, Stu?

00:03:36.280 No, we don't hear her either.

00:03:38.000 I don't know.

00:03:38.440 Oh, shoot. 0.98

00:03:39.240 Cut out there. 0.98

00:03:40.020 Maybe we can get her back on the line.

00:03:41.780 Call her back.

00:03:42.200 While we're waiting, is there anything from the Supreme Court that's coming down now?

00:03:45.900 Yes.

00:03:46.280 We have a couple of decisions out so far, both by Gorsuch and 5-4 rulings.

00:03:51.000 In both cases, it was the liberals against him.

00:03:53.960 One of them had Barrett as a dissent.

00:03:55.980 One of them had Kavanaugh as a dissent, as well as the liberals.

00:04:00.180 But both 5-4s.

00:04:01.440 The first one was Ohio, the EPA.

00:04:03.720 This was when they paused an EPA rule that was designed to cut pollution that might affect

00:04:09.120 neighboring states.

00:04:11.320 There's not a final ruling here.

00:04:12.680 Is this the Chevron?

00:04:13.960 No.

00:04:14.960 No.

00:04:15.640 This is their...

00:04:16.300 Another one.

00:04:16.960 Yep.

00:04:17.220 They're pausing the ruling.

00:04:18.540 They didn't make a final determination.

00:04:20.220 But while it's going through the courts, they basically paused the rule.

00:04:25.680 And then another one about...

00:04:27.520 It's related to opioids, Purdue Pharma, and their bankruptcy plan.

00:04:31.900 Yeah.

00:04:32.440 Okay.

00:04:33.100 All right.

00:04:33.880 Can we get Laura back on? 0.72

00:04:36.100 I mean, it's just kind of an important day to have her on.

00:04:38.280 By the way, I'm on with Don Jr. this afternoon on his podcast, Triggered.

00:04:46.820 He's invited me on today as a guest.

00:04:49.740 I have more questions for him than he could possibly have for me.

00:04:53.620 Right.

00:04:53.860 What are you going to tell him on this day?

00:04:56.740 You know what?

00:04:57.580 I got to tell you, Don.

00:04:59.100 Here's the strategy tonight.

00:05:02.260 I will say we have a full-out phone failure here, Glenn, at the studios.

00:05:07.840 You've got to be kidding me.

00:05:09.380 Yeah.

00:05:09.720 So I don't think we're going to be getting her on any time in the coming months.

00:05:12.660 You've got to be kidding me.

00:05:15.160 Yeah.

00:05:15.400 People are running around like panicked.

00:05:17.720 Oh, my gosh.

00:05:18.920 Chickens with her head cut off. 0.52

00:05:20.180 Well, tonight, we are covering the election, and we're giving you full coverage.

00:05:27.680 We start at about 7.30 Eastern time.

00:05:32.120 Our coverage will begin.

00:05:33.720 We're going to be talking to, you know, all of the panels.

00:05:38.440 We're announcing some really cool stuff.

00:05:41.540 Blaze TV is upgrading yet again, and you'll find out about that tonight.

00:05:46.980 But also, we are running the CNN presidential debate, and we're going to run it uninterrupted.

00:05:54.580 So please don't watch it and give them the ratings, please.

00:05:57.780 You can watch it on Blaze TV tonight.

00:06:02.380 That starts at 9 p.m. Eastern.

00:06:05.780 Does it not, Stu?

00:06:07.080 Yeah.

00:06:07.860 9 p.m. Eastern, the debate starts, the CNN presidential debate, 9 p.m. Eastern.

00:06:13.660 We'll be covering it on Blaze TV.

00:06:15.640 We have the rights, and we're going to air it uninterrupted tonight.

00:06:23.500 We start at 7.30.

00:06:24.980 We'll go until 9, and then the debate, and then after the debate, we'll all gather again,

00:06:30.400 and you'll hear from all of the best voices of the Blaze tonight.

00:06:36.900 Don't miss it.

00:06:37.640 If you want to join us, if you haven't, you know, haven't subscribed yet to the Blaze TV,

00:06:42.200 please do.

00:06:43.060 You can go to blazetv.com slash debate.

00:06:46.060 Use the promo code DEBATE.

00:06:47.420 You get $30 off, and we'll see you tonight at 7.30.

00:06:51.100 Who's hosting this, Stu?

00:06:52.360 I know that Steve Dace is in for it.

00:06:56.740 Yeah.

00:06:56.800 The only thing I really like about this is not all of us agree on things.

00:07:01.400 Yeah.

00:07:01.660 There's a lot of different perspectives from really across the conservative, libertarian

00:07:05.820 spectrum.

00:07:06.900 I will be hosting it along with Jill Savage, Glenn.

00:07:09.400 So I don't know if that disappoints you, but...

00:07:11.240 Well, that's...

00:07:11.820 No, Jill is... 1.00

00:07:12.860 Jill's enough to make up for you. 0.60

00:07:14.360 Okay, good.

00:07:14.760 Yeah, it's going to be great.

00:07:17.260 I mean, I went through the sort of game plan, the rundown for today's show, or tonight's

00:07:23.920 show, and it is extensive.

00:07:26.500 There is a lot going on.

00:07:28.020 We have a lot of really great voices coming on.

00:07:30.380 You're going to be able to hear all sorts of analysis.

00:07:33.180 And not only do we have an hour and a half pre-show, then we have the entire debate you'll

00:07:39.640 be able to watch right on Blaze TV or on the YouTube channel.

00:07:42.580 And then we have, I don't know if it's an hour, an hour and a half post-game show.

00:07:46.000 I'll also be doing post-post show on YouTube.com slash Stu Does America.

00:07:50.840 Probably do one right after the radio show here for a little bit, just kind of as a preview

00:07:54.560 as well.

00:07:54.960 So go to youtube.com slash Stu Does America, blazetv.com slash debate, use the code debate,

00:08:00.620 you'll get 30 bucks off your subscription.

00:08:02.700 So I am just watching on my screen here, all of the producers desperately trying to restart

00:08:10.220 the phone system and hoping that will happen.

00:08:13.700 Stu, in your 20 years with me, how many times has our phone system gone down?

00:08:24.960 I'd say four or five, it feels like.

00:08:27.980 I was going to say five maximum.

00:08:30.920 And have you noticed they've been recently?

00:08:37.920 Yeah, okay.

00:08:38.840 She's back.

00:08:39.400 Okay, good.

00:08:40.100 She's back.

00:08:41.240 Laura, I'm so sorry about the trouble with the phone.

00:08:45.220 I don't know what happened.

00:08:47.000 It's probably social media.

00:08:48.700 Anyway, Laura Trump, the daughter-in-law of Donald Trump.

00:08:53.320 We were talking about the RNC and cleaning things up.

00:08:58.400 And all I heard from you, Laura, was, you know, I want to change one word from what you

00:09:02.740 said.

00:09:03.340 And then we lost you.

00:09:05.900 Oh, my gosh.

00:09:06.820 Well, hello.

00:09:07.740 I'm back.

00:09:09.180 Okay, good.

00:09:10.060 Thank you.

00:09:10.680 So you asked me, Glenn, you said that the RNC was a place that had a bunch of people there

00:09:16.000 who maybe didn't have the same goals as we do as conservatives.

00:09:18.700 And I said, I was going to correct you and say, we used to be.

00:09:23.700 We are no longer.

00:09:24.620 Because day one, after Michael Watley and I were elected as chair and co-chair of the

00:09:28.220 RNC, that was our first priority was to go in there and really eliminate the fat, so

00:09:33.620 to speak.

00:09:34.080 We got rid of a lot of people who, quite frankly, had probably been there for too long.

00:09:38.520 You know, a new CEO comes into an organization.

00:09:40.680 You want to bring in your own team, your own people.

00:09:42.340 And that's exactly what we did.

00:09:43.960 And I can promise you that the Trump campaign and the RNC are a cohesive unit, unlike anything

00:09:50.920 we've ever seen.

00:09:51.620 I worked in the previous two elections for my father-in-law.

00:09:55.140 And I can tell you, we worked alongside the RNC as a Trump campaign.

00:09:58.080 We never were one unit.

00:09:59.840 We are one team right now.

00:10:01.160 And the beauty of that is it allows the money donated to the campaign and the RNC to go

00:10:05.400 farther.

00:10:06.060 We don't have multiple people doing the same job.

00:10:08.760 We have one person doing one job, and that's a great thing.

00:10:12.460 You asked about election integrity.

00:10:14.740 What we have done, I think, is really the most comprehensive election integrity program.

00:10:20.140 And maybe no one's ever done anything like this before, but truly in the history of American

00:10:23.600 politics, we can never repeat 2020 again, Glenn.

00:10:26.720 That was a disaster.

00:10:28.060 You have millions of Americans who have a lot of questions that were unanswered.

00:10:31.280 And quite frankly, if you even ask a question about 2020, you're called an election denier.

00:10:35.540 You're supposed to feel badly about it.

00:10:37.060 It is integral to who we are as a country to have faith in our electoral process.

00:10:42.400 And our goal at the RNC is whether you're voting for a Republican, a Democrat, or a third

00:10:47.200 party candidate, when you go cast a ballot in the United States of America, you should

00:10:51.480 have full confidence that your vote matters and that your vote counts.

00:10:54.880 And that is why we have put together this program.

00:10:57.060 It's 100,000 volunteers that Michael Watley, the chairman, and I have pledged.

00:11:01.120 We want to make sure that we have trained poll watchers, but also trained poll workers.

00:11:05.320 And this is very important for people to understand.

00:11:07.460 For 40 years, there was a consent decree placed upon the RNC.

00:11:11.100 We could not train poll workers.

00:11:13.720 Glenn, imagine who was training all the poll workers if the RNC wasn't.

00:11:16.740 It was the DNC.

00:11:17.600 Ever wonder why things are so crazy in all these polling locations?

00:11:20.780 Yeah.

00:11:21.140 We can now train people and we want you on the team.

00:11:24.220 Protectthevote.com for your listeners is where you go.

00:11:26.540 Again, protectthevote.com.

00:11:28.420 We have people who are going to be working in the tabulation centers where the mail-in ballots

00:11:32.440 come in.

00:11:33.280 We also want, and I think this is probably the most important key here, legal experts.

00:11:37.780 If you're a lawyer out there, you don't have to be trained in election law.

00:11:40.480 We will train you.

00:11:42.040 We need to make sure that we're not waiting a day, a week, or a month after a problem

00:11:46.020 to address it.

00:11:47.160 We have to be in the room at the moment and strike while the iron is hot and strike when

00:11:51.560 we see a problem or any nefarious activity.

00:11:53.960 And I think our message from the RNC is, and the Democrats, by the way, hate when I say

00:12:00.260 this, so I'm going to say it loud and clear right here on your show, Gwen.

00:12:02.840 If you are a person who is going to cheat in an election, we will find you.

00:12:07.340 We'll track you down.

00:12:08.400 We'll prosecute you to the full extent of the law.

00:12:10.240 If you're a non-citizen voting illegally in our elections, we'll find you. 0.72

00:12:13.720 We'll prosecute you to the full extent of the law.

00:12:15.640 And that means you are leaving this country. 0.51

00:12:17.740 It is not worth it.

00:12:18.900 Don't do it.

00:12:19.720 We need a free, fair, and transparent election.

00:12:21.680 And I believe when every legal vote is counted, Donald Trump will be reelected as a 47 president.

00:12:26.940 Well, I think if it is a fair election, I think he is going to win.

00:12:31.680 I think people have had enough of it.

00:12:34.100 They've had enough of the lies.

00:12:36.060 They've had enough of just little things like, no, there is no inflation.

00:12:41.220 It's getting better.

00:12:42.340 You know, the gas prices and the food prices.

00:12:44.740 Yesterday, Janet Yellen said, they don't surprise me.

00:12:47.260 That's, you know, we've always had to pay more for food.

00:12:50.300 Are you out of your mind?

00:12:52.560 What is the strategy tonight for the president to hit and speak plainly to those people?

00:13:01.980 Well, I think the problem that Joe Biden has is right now we're living in Joe Biden's America, Glenn, and it's a disaster.

00:13:08.280 To your point, the American people are struggling.

00:13:11.340 People's lives have gotten harder, not easier.

00:13:13.700 People are having a problem making basic ends neat and putting food on the table for their family and filling up their gas tank and feeling safe walking in their own communities.

00:13:24.400 And Joe Biden is going to have to answer for that.

00:13:26.380 And I think the amazing opportunity we have as Americans right now is that we have the opportunity, unlike any time in modern history, to compare two presidents and two presidencies.

00:13:37.880 And, man, when Donald Trump was in office, people remember how much different their life was.

00:13:42.340 Things have really gone basically 180 degrees in the wrong direction on so many different fronts.

00:13:48.720 And I think you're going to hear that from Donald Trump tonight.

00:13:52.280 And I think it's going to be up to, unfortunately, Donald Trump to call out Joe Biden because do we think Jake Tapper or Dan Abash is going to do it?

00:13:58.680 I don't think so.

00:13:59.820 No.

00:14:00.040 I think that is going to be his role tonight is to make sure he holds Joe Biden accountable.

00:14:04.820 Joe, why was your first decision shutting down the Keystone XL pipeline, rendering us energy independent no longer, jacking up the gas prices, causing inflation through the roof, allowing Russia and Iran to enrich themselves to cause these wars in Europe and in the Middle East? 0.52

00:14:20.340 Why hasn't your borders are Kamala Harris done anything at the southern border?

00:14:24.320 Why do you have 10 million plus Americans in here?

00:14:27.500 Donald Trump's ready.

00:14:28.700 And he actually is said, Glenn, I've been ready for this my whole life.

00:14:31.980 If he doesn't need a week off to do whatever the heck they're doing in the woods at Camp David for Joe Biden, he's ready to go.

00:14:38.580 He's prepared.

00:14:39.400 He's president.

00:14:40.220 He knows what to do.

00:14:41.340 He knows how to save this country.

00:14:43.280 I will tell you that I've never, like you said, I've never seen this before where we have an A-B comparison.

00:14:52.160 We have two presidents running.

00:14:53.880 We know what each of them did, what each of them said the other was going to do, and what did what.

00:15:02.700 And I just think this should be fairly easy for your father-in-law just to stand up and say, you know, I don't care what your experts say.

00:15:16.720 I look at the experts of the American people.

00:15:19.180 They can't afford groceries.

00:15:21.120 They can't afford rent.

00:15:22.460 They can't afford a new house.

00:15:24.380 And you keep saying everything is fine.

00:15:27.500 I hear them, see them, and we'll fix it.

00:15:32.180 What's your plan?

00:15:33.800 I mean, it's just so easy.

00:15:35.220 Yeah, well, that's right.

00:15:36.880 But here's the problem, Glenn, is that the mainstream media has lowered the bar so much for Joe Biden that if he even manages to walk out on the stage and stay upright, they're basically going to say this guy was a great success.

00:15:49.440 Look, Joe Biden can hack it on a stage with Donald Trump, but he really does have the problem of really having to answer questions for the American people and tell people, well, why is life so much harder for me?

00:16:01.620 And what's your plan to get us out of it?

00:16:03.560 The answer is he doesn't have a plan.

00:16:05.420 The Democrats have nothing.

00:16:06.540 We know they're running this election on abortion and January 6th because they can't point to a single policy decision they have made that has made anyone's life better in America.

00:16:17.360 And so, you know, it's a three on one debate.

00:16:19.920 We all know that.

00:16:20.660 And if we're honest, it's really Donald Trump debating CNN because I doubt that Joe Biden, even with all the little quips they've probably tried to set him up for over the past week, is going to manage to do much of anything.

00:16:30.600 But they really have lowered the bar so much.

00:16:32.620 So I think it's going to be up to Donald Trump to keep him honest and hold him accountable and actually call him out on so much of this as we're discussing.

00:16:40.720 Laura, could I ask you to hold for 60 seconds?

00:16:43.380 I've got to do a commercial and then come right back to you.

00:16:45.480 Absolutely.

00:16:45.880 Just one more question.

00:16:46.760 Great, thanks.

00:16:47.440 We're talking to Laura Trump, co-chair of the RNC and daughter-in-law of Donald Trump, talking about the debate which happens tonight, by the way.

00:16:57.240 Don't miss it.

00:16:58.320 Don't miss it.

00:17:28.320 political tactic to get what they want.

00:17:30.740 These are also the people in charge of our economy.

00:17:33.140 Did you see that California, no job, no job increase, all the roles from California unemployment that shows that, you know, they were having big job growth, big job growth from 20, what was it, 2022 until today?

00:17:51.800 All of it has been falsified.

00:17:54.100 All of it.

00:17:55.920 All of it.

00:18:39.940 Steve Dace is joining us now.

00:18:41.980 He does the Steve Dace show, cleverly titled.

00:18:44.340 And that follows this program, also cleverly titled, the Glenn Beck Program.

00:18:51.360 And he goes from noon to 2 Eastern on Blaze TV.

00:18:57.320 Welcome, Steve.

00:18:58.120 How are you?

00:18:59.240 Good morning.

00:19:00.100 How are you doing, brother?

00:19:01.480 I'm doing pretty good.

00:19:02.520 I'm doing pretty good.

00:19:03.880 I wish we were going to see each other.

00:19:05.380 I know you're, are you in Dallas now?

00:19:07.800 I am.

00:19:08.480 And I just took literally, I'm 50 years old now.

00:19:10.620 I just took the hottest morning walk of my entire life.

00:19:13.000 So congratulations to me.

00:19:14.340 Yes.

00:19:14.540 Oh, it is nasty, isn't it?

00:19:17.700 The heat in Dallas, it is nasty.

00:19:20.940 All right.

00:19:21.720 So, Steve, what, what do you think the president should do?

00:19:27.140 And then what do you think he's going to do?

00:19:31.680 Glenn, I honestly don't know because I don't know, you know, I mean, I assume we're talking about President Biden.

00:19:40.080 Are we talking about President Trump?

00:19:41.600 Oh, President Trump.

00:19:43.500 Trump.

00:19:43.740 Trump, Trump, Trump.

00:19:44.460 Okay.

00:19:44.860 In his case, I really don't know what to do because I'm not sure what condition his opponent will be in.

00:19:50.340 I mean, it is.

00:19:52.260 And I know this is going to sound snotty.

00:19:54.880 I really don't mean it.

00:19:56.000 This is seriously where we are right now.

00:19:58.200 I have no idea if the White House apothecary has one more doctor feel good in him.

00:20:03.100 And so we get one of those performances from Joe where you don't see like his irises and he doesn't blink for like 40 minutes at a time, but he can at least get his lines out.

00:20:13.100 And if that happens, then, you know, you can attack him.

00:20:15.820 All right.

00:20:16.340 On the other hand, I think it's possible that at any point he could scream out, how can you have your pudding if you don't eat your meat?

00:20:22.340 Right.

00:20:23.340 And at that time, I don't know what to do with that.

00:20:25.200 And just to show you how unsettled this night is, you know, we could be sitting here in the first, say, 45 minutes of this thing, and we're watching Trump do what he did the first debate against him the last time that turned people off.

00:20:36.500 And he's just pestering him and attacking him like, oh, no, oh, no, oh, no, oh, no.

00:20:39.660 And then all of a sudden, Joe Biden looks up and just says, this is the big one, Alice.

00:20:43.840 And the whole thing changes.

00:20:44.980 That could happen at absolutely any moment.

00:20:47.960 We've got we've got one guy who has decided that he's fully embraced his Gran Torino.

00:20:52.480 OK, he's fully embraced the get off your lawn persona.

00:20:56.600 And the other guy is in stage two, maybe three dementia.

00:21:00.540 And so, brother, it's a roll of the dice minute by minute.

00:21:03.480 Let me tell you what I think would be a disaster for Biden is I know people are like, well, Trump's going to have to spend some time arguing with the moderator.

00:21:10.460 I think that's a disaster for Biden.

00:21:11.960 Here's why any of us that have ever had family members that are battling early stages of dementia, it is asking them to come in and out of a conversation that is the hardest.

00:21:20.820 The more they have familiarity, the more they're consistently engaged, the more likely you are to keep them alert.

00:21:26.260 So if you've got a 10, 15 minute back and forth between Jake Tapper, Dana Bash and Donald Trump, and then suddenly one of them looks over at Joe Biden and says, Mr.

00:21:33.380 President, what do you think?

00:21:34.700 And he just has nothing.

00:21:35.940 I mean, that could be a devastating moment that 70 million people watch live tonight.

00:21:40.700 You're bringing up stuff I didn't I didn't even think about, you know, and they're not happy to.

00:21:44.920 It's not good to think about the the the bullying is is a worry only because, you know, Donald Trump.

00:21:57.560 I mean, he goes after the people that he's on stage with.

00:22:01.720 That's his M.O.

00:22:02.800 But if Joe Biden looks like a sweet old man, you're right.

00:22:08.920 You're right.

00:22:09.440 That could be a disaster for Donald Trump.

00:22:12.600 Consider, though, what we're saying in this analysis that you and I share.

00:22:15.940 We are saying we are unsure if the man carrying the nuclear football who presides in the most powerful office in the world where other nations have weapons of mass destruction pointed at us currently right now.

00:22:28.680 All right.

00:22:29.420 Where a border is wide open and a black swan event is 10 minutes away at any point in time.

00:22:34.140 We are unsure.

00:22:36.180 OK, if if he is capable of putting up with, you know, middle defense of himself.

00:22:43.800 Yeah.

00:22:44.540 Yeah.

00:22:45.220 Right.

00:22:45.540 That's just amazing to me.

00:22:47.200 It's amazing to me.

00:22:48.980 My advice for the last few days on with Donald Trump has been no matter what happens, just talk to the American people and recognize the pain they're in, because I don't think there's anything else that anybody is going to care about.

00:23:03.400 They're just not going to care about you lied.

00:23:05.400 You did this.

00:23:06.620 You know, this what's happened in 2020.

00:23:09.120 Nobody's going to care about any of that.

00:23:10.760 The one that will win tonight will be the one that can look at the people no matter what's happening and say, you know, look, it's it's you can't afford food.

00:23:23.480 You can't afford to buy a new house.

00:23:25.640 You can't afford to sixty one percent of Americans can't afford to make their rent right now.

00:23:30.320 Do you want more of that?

00:23:33.180 Because I know how to make it stop and I'll make it stop.

00:23:35.800 I share that ten thousand percent.

00:23:39.280 But if I were, you know, if I were running that campaign or if I was doing debate prep with him, the one thing I would want to make sure is a certainty must happen this evening is at some point.

00:23:50.920 Donald Trump needs to look into that camera, similar to what you just said, and he needs to reach the mean tweet voters that he lost before.

00:23:58.600 And he doesn't need to look weak or anything of that nature.

00:24:01.940 He needs to show empathy.

00:24:03.280 And that's what you just.

00:24:03.960 Yes. Yes.

00:24:05.660 At some point, you need to give them a bridge to to move away from the emotional turnoff.

00:24:12.480 They view your persona and the actual results of what matters in their daily lives and how they live.

00:24:18.280 And, you know, if you're in my situation, I've got one daughter I just married off, another one I just moved out, a son who's going to my senior year or his senior year.

00:24:26.240 And I mean, used cars are 25 percent more than they were.

00:24:30.580 Mortgage payments are 100 percent higher than they were.

00:24:32.860 And it can't be like, hey, this doofus over here screwed the whole thing up. 0.76

00:24:36.920 I mean, you can do that at some point.

00:24:38.060 But at some point, he needs to look in the camera and show empathy with the American people.

00:24:43.240 They need to see a real person there and not just the caricature the media has painted, which, frankly, too often he verbs into on his own.

00:24:53.400 So I know he's capable of this.

00:24:56.180 That's one of the great mysteries about him with me, Glenn, is going back to when he first wanted to run for president.

00:25:03.060 And I get a call out of the blue in 2013 from unknown number.

00:25:06.880 I pick it up because those are usually only really good or really bad.

00:25:09.220 You know me, I'm going to gamble on good.

00:25:10.680 And it's Donald Trump just calling me out of the blue.

00:25:12.720 OK, and I never I mean, you spend any time around him on a one on one or small group setting.

00:25:20.040 The man is remarkably charming in these settings.

00:25:23.600 OK, and there's there's got to be some way to communicate this in a corporate setting as a president or presidential candidate.

00:25:32.220 There's got to be a there's got to be a mode between I'm just riffing about Hannibal Lecter at my rallies or, you know, I'm just combating enemy media, which is enemy media.

00:25:43.020 But at some point, there's got to be a moment here where he can blow up the caricature that he doesn't care about the American people.

00:25:50.240 He's got to or doesn't care about anything other than himself.

00:25:52.340 He's got to seek that moment and seize it.

00:25:54.120 I have to tell you, I wish people had seen a moment that I had with him behind the scenes after the election, probably four months after.

00:26:08.120 And, you know, he was under attack and called all kinds of names.

00:26:11.000 And I said to him, we were standing in Mar-a-Lago and I said, how are you doing?

00:26:16.020 And we were getting ready to tape something and it was just the two of us.

00:26:19.540 I said, how are you doing?

00:26:20.560 And he said, not real good.

00:26:23.740 He said, I can't I can't live with myself.

00:26:28.780 He said, I promised the American people, I promised them that I would fix it.

00:26:34.900 And we were on our way fixing it.

00:26:37.520 And now I lose the election.

00:26:40.520 They've dismantled everything.

00:26:42.140 And all of those people that trusted me have to live through this.

00:26:47.460 I can't I just can't I can't take it.

00:26:50.000 And it was this moment of something that was absolutely not about Donald Trump in any way, shape or form.

00:27:00.520 And it showed to me how much he actually loved the people that voted for him and loved America.

00:27:07.800 And if there was if there was some way.

00:27:11.180 But I don't think because he has trained himself over the years that there's a Donald Trump, the apprentice performer.

00:27:19.600 And then there's the then there's the Donald Trump who his friends and his family knows and they don't seem to ever mix.

00:27:28.820 But he's a completely different person.

00:27:32.640 You don't get you.

00:27:33.900 You'll get a laugh.

00:27:35.200 You know, he'll he'll make fun of things or do something that he that, you know, and he knows is going for a laugh.

00:27:42.560 But he's not a performer in real life.

00:27:45.360 And it's I don't know how to break that.

00:27:49.500 I don't think you can.

00:27:50.940 But I wish he could tonight.

00:27:54.440 That is exceedingly well said, which is no shock.

00:27:58.700 You're in the Radio Hall of Fame.

00:27:59.800 But I would look at I'd look at his children, you know, and you and I have both raised our own share of kids.

00:28:06.320 OK, yes.

00:28:07.100 When your kids get older and adults, there might be if you're really successful and wealthy, you might be lucky that one of them, if he doesn't like it, hangs around.

00:28:14.640 Um, because they want to make sure they got their spot there in the in the will.

00:28:18.980 OK, yes, you don't know.

00:28:21.080 You don't go, you know, you don't bat a thousand with your kids if you have not demonstrated because we're all flawed and his flaws have been on the society pages for all of our lives.

00:28:30.920 OK, you don't you don't bat a thousand with your children as adults that they still want to be around you unless you demonstrated the kind of empathy with them growing up at some point or consistently even that you just articulated.

00:28:43.020 OK, and with the American people and I tried to, you know, I made this point all the time during the primary to the DeSantis people.

00:28:50.400 I am 100 percent convinced the number one issue in this election isn't the economy and it's not even the covid reckoning that I have been clamoring and praying for its leadership.

00:28:59.840 The country is clamoring for leader, leader.

00:29:03.380 OK, and when there is no leader, the people will perish.

00:29:09.280 That's what's happening.

00:29:10.900 Yeah, there's no leadership.

00:29:12.520 Yep.

00:29:12.800 And at some point, an effective leader to get people to follow them.

00:29:16.160 It can't just always be a force of will.

00:29:18.920 At some point, you have to show empathy.

00:29:21.300 I mean, one of the wisest decisions God made in my life is making sure I had daughters before I ever had a son.

00:29:26.420 If that order was inverted, man, I would have been a terrible dad to him.

00:29:30.240 I needed the daughters to soften me up to prepare me to raise a man.

00:29:34.960 OK, and and the same thing is true here.

00:29:37.880 I mean, I didn't have a lot of empathy in me until I had daughters.

00:29:40.300 He needs to show the we know we know he can walk into Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and lay down ordinance to a bunch of thugs and terrorist simps. 0.62

00:29:48.340 We know this. OK, we know this. We know that he can go there and maybe even to the point of nauseating, you know, he can smooze Kim Jong-un. 0.92

00:29:59.240 We know we know this. OK, what we need to know and what and what the what the segment of suburbanites that I live in that exist around the country,

00:30:06.720 they're going to decide this thing, need to see is that he empathizes.

00:30:10.340 This is that he understands what is going on, what went wrong before and what needs to happen that they are suffering through.

00:30:17.140 And that's that's that connection needs to be made.

00:30:21.120 I want to play something that you produced that you said.

00:30:24.300 This is not something Donald Trump produced. I produced it, but he should run it.

00:30:29.440 And I think I agree. I'm going to play the audio.

00:30:31.940 I need to explain what's happening on the screen if you're just listening to us.

00:30:36.260 And then we're going to take a quick break, come back.

00:30:38.900 And Steve, if you will, tell us what President Biden has to do to win tonight.

00:30:44.340 Here's the spot done by Steve Dase.

00:30:47.620 It's quite simple, folks. We just can't afford four more years of this.

00:30:51.460 Honours my heart. He's the most honorable, decent person I know.

00:30:54.460 Hunter Biden has been found guilty on all counts in his federal trial in Wilmington, Delaware.

00:31:00.920 He's the most honorable, decent person I know.

00:31:03.400 At least Biden used to be able to talk. Now he can't even do that.

00:31:06.580 After I signed the PAC and PAC act secretary, put his dimes, all it is there to make sure it may be precise.

00:31:19.800 Tremendous amount of things you can do.

00:31:21.860 21st century. 21st century results.

00:31:26.320 It's quite simple, folks. We just can't afford four more years of this.

00:31:41.320 I'm not Donald Trump, and he didn't approve this message, but he should.

00:31:45.000 All during that, you're seeing the stats of how bad things really are for food, energy, and everything else.

00:31:56.020 This is the best of the Glenn Beck podcast.

00:31:58.560 To hear more of this interview, check out the full episode anywhere podcasts are found.

00:32:02.520 All right, so I want to talk to you a little bit about the debate tonight and what I think Americans want to hear, what we're looking for.

00:32:12.940 If you're watching the debate, you're most likely watching because you're a conservative.

00:32:21.120 Maybe there will be a few independents that are looking for a choice, but how am I going to choose between these two?

00:32:27.160 I don't know. You know, there's very few Democrats that are watching, and apparently, according to a latest poll, it is mainly Republicans that are interested in this thing.

00:32:38.860 We'll get into the reasons why for all three, you know, independents, Republicans, and Democrats a little later.

00:32:45.920 But here's why you should watch, and here is what people want to hear.

00:32:53.660 First of all, let me start with what they don't want to hear.

00:32:55.840 They don't want to hear about Russiagate.

00:32:58.000 They don't want to hear about stolen elections, January 6th, or frankly, abortion in either direction.

00:33:04.120 They don't need to go over the corrupt court cases of Donald Trump.

00:33:08.660 We got it.

00:33:09.600 Or the corruption of the DOJ regarding Hunter Biden.

00:33:14.600 They don't want to hear about Nazis or an argument over the republic or democracy.

00:33:19.020 They don't want to hear about drag queens, story hour, or any more equity. 0.99

00:33:24.060 They don't want to hear about global warming.

00:33:27.420 It is at the bottom of the list of Americans' concerns.

00:33:32.720 Okay?

00:33:33.580 They don't want to hear about the past and COVID vaccines, especially if it's used as an excuse to dismiss or blame inflation or lack of jobs.

00:33:44.140 Anyone who tries to sell, the border is secure.

00:33:48.760 Our country is in good shape.

00:33:50.820 Jobs are plentiful and growing like crazy.

00:33:53.620 Fuel is cheap and food is affordable.

00:33:56.380 We'll lose.

00:33:58.400 Maybe not tonight, but in the fall, that message will lose.

00:34:03.740 People no longer believe in the system.

00:34:07.420 They don't believe that it's geared for them anymore.

00:34:11.800 They don't believe in the politicians, quite honestly, on either side of the aisle.

00:34:15.740 And they certainly don't believe Jake Tapper and the press.

00:34:20.520 All of those things that were, you know, goodwill or we've got the full faith and trust in the American government is a thing of the past, the distant past.

00:34:31.500 People do not need, want, or frankly believe any more of the fake fear-mongering.

00:34:39.240 Why?

00:34:41.020 Because there's enough stuff out there to actually be afraid of.

00:34:46.680 And Americans are.

00:34:49.260 Here's what Americans want to know.

00:34:52.060 Who is going to keep my job secure?

00:34:55.520 Who's going to grow jobs? 1.00

00:34:57.440 Who's going to make sure this insane inflation doesn't continue and, in fact, goes down?

00:35:07.620 They don't care about the Fed, how it works, or what Janet Yellen thinks.

00:35:16.280 People don't want to choose between food and fuel.

00:35:20.920 I don't want to choose between making rent or having a car.

00:35:26.760 I can't afford a new home.

00:35:28.780 I can't afford a loan.

00:35:30.380 Nor the 30% interest rate on my credit cards, which are already maxed out.

00:35:36.900 People want answers.

00:35:39.020 They want an actual plan that they're participating in.

00:35:44.160 That they understand it and they're like, okay, yep, all right, let's do that.

00:35:47.940 They want a leader.

00:35:51.420 They care about the elites who are getting rich.

00:35:55.280 The banks are always bailed out without any consequence.

00:35:59.440 And it seems like the average American can't even get a fair deal.

00:36:03.300 That's what they want to hear about.

00:36:06.260 They're the people who create 70% of all jobs in recessions and tough times.

00:36:12.120 The small business.

00:36:14.020 People who are in small business have always been the backbone of job creation.

00:36:22.180 Yet, they see the pattern.

00:36:24.360 It's the same with the banks.

00:36:25.760 Home Depot made money, was allowed to stay open.

00:36:28.160 But the local hardware store, that was a health danger.

00:36:32.340 What's the game we're playing?

00:36:35.200 Because the American people feel like, I'm on the losing end.

00:36:38.600 And it's become real for them.

00:36:42.860 They've seen what the reimagining of our economy is doing.

00:36:47.620 They've seen the reimagining of the police.

00:36:50.480 They know what that looks like.

00:36:52.220 What they want to know tonight is who's going to restore safety to our streets and sanity in the houses of justice and the DA offices.

00:36:59.640 Crime is unlike anything I have seen in my lifetime.

00:37:05.440 Because it's everywhere.

00:37:09.360 I mean, when San Franciscans were pooping on the streets, I thought that was novel. 0.93

00:37:18.560 Well, that's happening in a lot of places.

00:37:21.640 Philadelphia, New York, Detroit, you name it.

00:37:25.540 All of California, except the farmland.

00:37:30.380 And they could probably use the poop at the farmland.

00:37:36.900 People want safe and clean streets.

00:37:42.140 They've seen the reimagining of our schools.

00:37:44.820 They want schools that will help them, as parents, teach their children reading, math, arithmetic, writing, usable skills.

00:37:59.100 Not how to march in protests.

00:38:01.160 No matter how insane or, quite frankly, how valid those protests might be,

00:38:06.220 they don't need the school training them to be a protester.

00:38:12.060 Our children need a good education.

00:38:14.820 They don't need some indoctrination camp to teach them that they're gay, not gay, non-binary, one of 93 different genders.

00:38:25.660 They don't want any of that.

00:38:29.640 What they really worry about when it comes to their children is what is their children's life going to be like?

00:38:35.380 Because I can't imagine it.

00:38:37.140 If we stay on this road, I don't see a bright future for my children.

00:38:42.000 And that's bad.

00:38:44.960 And people know it.

00:38:47.280 And they want to know who will stop the insanity.

00:38:50.880 Remember, that's what Biden came in as.

00:38:53.720 Biden won the last election because he was like, isn't this crazy?

00:38:56.860 I mean, don't you just want to?

00:38:57.860 And people voted for him because he's an old, safe guy.

00:39:00.400 What's he going to do?

00:39:02.160 Well, we've seen what he's done.

00:39:03.680 Are our kids going to be able to afford an education?

00:39:12.980 Is it worth having an education?

00:39:16.180 What should they study?

00:39:18.840 With AI and everything that's coming, what is the plan, guys?

00:39:23.840 Will my children be able to own a house?

00:39:29.880 Will my children be able to inherit my house?

00:39:34.140 Will they be able to have food or even grow food?

00:39:37.780 People worry that this is the end of a country that almost all of us, 75%, 80% plus, love and want.

00:39:49.380 We may disagree on the problems or the solutions, but 80% of us love America.

00:39:56.280 They want a solution on the border.

00:40:03.120 They want answers on the border.

00:40:07.360 They worry about war.

00:40:12.720 Is my kid going to be sent off to fight some politician or global elite's war?

00:40:19.040 Something I don't want, something that I don't even believe in, something that I don't even understand why we're in it.

00:40:23.720 You're already spending all of my children's money and you can't track any of it.

00:40:28.260 And are we seriously talking tough when nuclear war is an option on the table for not just one country, but seemingly several countries?

00:40:43.420 I mean, down on the list, they worry about freedom of speech, unlike they've never thought of it before, because it's becoming more and more real.

00:40:51.320 People, they're feeling it in their office.

00:40:55.740 They also worry about guns.

00:40:58.380 They worry about the senseless shootings in our schools.

00:41:02.240 But are you going to address the real problem there?

00:41:05.160 Because if there's a shooting in the school, we know who's going to get the blame.

00:41:09.680 It's the gun or the Nazis. 0.90

00:41:11.500 But, you know, when we have a transgender shooting, in fact, several of them, nobody seems to want to talk about that. 1.00

00:41:18.820 Nobody even wants to talk about the real problems of social media.

00:41:23.040 That's the main driver of suicide and the death in young adults.

00:41:28.100 They won't say anything about that, because they're in bed with social media.

00:41:34.560 They won't call out the gangs.

00:41:37.060 They won't call out China and the drug cartels for the huge problem of fentanyl.

00:41:43.240 Instead, what they'll do is they'll make it harder for people in actual pain to get pain relief from their doctors.

00:41:51.920 Have you tried to get pain relief from your doctor?

00:41:53.960 Well, you're already, you're already, they're looking at you now to put you in jail because you need pain relief from your doctor.

00:42:04.120 And the doctor is also afraid of going to jail because if he messes up one thing, that's it for him.

00:42:11.200 And it seems more and more like the solution from our government for real pain relief, for pain and suffering is, well, you can kill yourself.

00:42:23.960 But I digress.

00:42:28.500 People care about their future.

00:42:33.580 For the first time in my lifetime, their immediate future.

00:42:39.260 Are my kids going to survive school?

00:42:42.200 Is my wife going to make it after going to the gas station? 1.00

00:42:47.600 Am I going to have any money left?

00:42:49.540 Will I be able to keep my house or my apartment?

00:42:55.720 People for the first time in my life are beginning to look at our civil rights, our bill of rights in a different way.

00:43:03.440 For instance, the right to keep and bear arms.

00:43:06.800 That's always been theoretical in so many ways.

00:43:10.840 But it's not theoretical anymore.

00:43:12.680 And here's how.

00:43:14.620 We see on TV all the time people trapped in their cars, surrounded by Antifa or Hamas lovers, whatever it is. 0.97

00:43:26.800 And there's no help coming for that person in the car.

00:43:29.240 There's no help.

00:43:31.600 But God forbid you defend yourself.

00:43:34.560 No, the riders won't have a problem.

00:43:36.060 No, they'll be fine.

00:43:37.580 You?

00:43:38.020 No help is coming.

00:43:42.680 We see that.

00:43:44.600 You call 911 in several cities.

00:43:46.700 No help is coming.

00:43:48.860 Our wives, our daughters, our son.

00:43:52.600 Even us, men.

00:43:54.800 We have to stop and get gas at night occasionally.

00:43:57.780 When did it become normal to keep checking over your shoulder to make sure you're not being cased?

00:44:02.180 The bad guys have guns.

00:44:06.040 And the way they get them is not through any legitimate gun store that you're breathing down the neck on.

00:44:14.740 They have them.

00:44:16.160 They use them.

00:44:17.520 And the police now are no longer allowed to police anymore.

00:44:21.940 And if they do, God forbid, the DA lets them go.

00:44:26.360 If our government won't stop gangs from coming across our border, from the terrorists of many countries that are known to be coming over our southern border,

00:44:39.920 If the government dismisses rioters, firebombings, calls the hardworking, taxpaying American that is struggling literally to buy a loaf of bread, the biggest threat to America, then maybe we've already lost our country.

00:44:56.560 And too many innocents will lose their life.

00:45:01.220 People want to know who will keep them safe.

00:45:07.380 People want to know why our veterans are on the streets and illegal aliens are in five-star hotels. 1.00

00:45:18.260 People want to know why you won't arrest and convict criminals.

00:45:22.820 You won't go after the gangs or illegal guns.

00:45:25.380 You won't enforce our laws.

00:45:29.360 And then at the same time, a big push to take away my right to defend myself and the only thing that I'll have to defend myself.

00:45:37.820 But again, that's a distant second to I can't afford food.

00:45:44.680 I can't pay for my house.

00:45:46.960 I can't afford an apartment, a car, electricity, fuel, insurance, health care.

00:45:56.760 And no slogan is going to work this time.

00:45:59.460 None.

00:46:01.200 Only leadership.

00:46:02.920 People need to see a leader tonight that actually sees them.

00:46:10.420 They don't care about their life.

00:46:12.300 They don't care about the past.

00:46:14.260 They need a leader that sees them, sees what their life is like for them every day.

00:46:21.060 They don't need anybody to tell them how bad it is.

00:46:24.820 They want to hear, I get it.

00:46:28.260 I see you.

00:46:30.380 I know the problem.

00:46:33.080 And I will fix it.

00:46:35.280 Na na na na na.
