00:00:00.000 hey it's pat and jeffy for glenn uh coming up on the podcast today uh president trump

00:00:04.580 ramping up his rhetoric on potential conflict with iran he actually said that we would end

00:00:11.820 the country if they threaten us again i mean i i like it let's just leave it at that yeah

00:00:19.920 yeah you like the you like the feel of it you like it in theory i don't know if we like it in

00:00:25.280 practice um there's also a british admiral that says the u.s would need a million troops to

00:00:30.800 successfully uh pacify iran oh scary new abortion bill in missouri has a cutoff of eight weeks with

00:00:39.540 no exceptions for rape or incest so another heartbeat bill that's passed there's about

00:00:45.100 six of those right now and two others that have limited abortions in their states

00:00:51.540 uh but the the right has been invigorated on this issue and it's probably about time yeah also uh

00:00:59.060 we'll have uh bernie sanders we talk about uh bernie using the salaries of baseball players

00:01:05.240 to push his agenda compared him to teachers which is just silly we'll get into that

00:01:10.100 um and a multi-milli multi-billionaire announced that he's gonna pay off the student loan debt

00:01:16.260 of everybody at morehouse college which is like 400 students yeah yeah for this year right for this

00:01:22.540 year uh but that's gonna cost him like 40 million dollars i was really surprised at how much uh how

00:01:28.880 much is owed yeah for college tuition that's that's amazing good for him uh now let's see if he does it

00:01:34.560 next year in the year after because he's the government right i mean if i know he's not no he's not

00:01:38.580 actually yeah that's capitalism um and phone companies might be permitted to start blocking spam calls

00:01:45.400 before they get to us that would be great that would be a big great awesome move by the fcc uh that 0.90

00:01:52.440 and much more coming up on the glenbeck program today with pat and jeffie

00:01:57.080 you're listening to the best of the glenbeck program

00:02:04.580 pat and uh jeffie for glen on the glenbeck program 888-727-BECK is the number to participate

00:02:29.880 today uh president trump took to twitter and issued a threat against iran with all this escalating

00:02:36.480 tension between our uh our two nations uh he tweeted out if iran wants to fight that will be

00:02:43.920 the official end of iran wow never threaten the united states again on the one hand that feels

00:02:51.120 pretty good you know because you get sick and tired of all of the rivers of blood will flow and

00:02:56.180 all that stuff that comes out of iran and so to respond to that and tell them look everybody knows

00:03:03.320 uh we'll crush you if you start anything it just feels good it does but i'm not however yeah i want

00:03:12.100 to throw in the big however however it does it feels good after you get over feeling good yes you think 0.93

00:03:19.940 wait wait wait do we want an uh another war and this time with iran uh my answer to that would be

00:03:28.460 no i think the the answer is obviously no nobody wants that uh and the president has said he doesn't

00:03:33.900 want that but when your rhetoric is such that you know you kind of escalate escalate the uh tension a

00:03:42.060 little bit uh you bring us a little bit closer to war um there is a an admiral um from the navy

00:03:51.820 admiral is this lord west the former okay this is from the uh first sea lord of the royal navy

00:04:00.020 gave uh an assessment of the potential conflict he told um the daily star that the u.s would need at

00:04:08.060 least one million troops to successfully uh pacify iran and a half-baked attack could throw the whole

00:04:16.580 region into further chaos we've seen that before yeah we have we've seen that before you would have

00:04:20.940 to i mean if you're going to go to war with iran you got to commit and i think he's right you'd

00:04:27.380 probably need a million troops or more um and you have to throw everything you've got at him you can't

00:04:32.860 do this halfway anymore you can't you can't just try to fight a politically correct war you can't do

00:04:39.940 it that way i don't know that we're willing to do that and that's the thing would we do it that way

00:04:44.560 no we don't do it that way anymore we don't do a world war ii type of uh war and we haven't since

00:04:53.660 world war ii that's why korea just kind of stayed the same that's why vietnam we left and uh they poured

00:05:01.480 right across the border and took over the whole country uh that's why you know we had the kind of

00:05:08.500 problems in iraq and afghanistan we pulled up short in iraq right yeah yeah every time every time

00:05:14.620 because in order to commit wholeheartedly you got to ignore you have to ignore all of the people who

00:05:21.620 say oh innocent people are getting hurt well yeah they're going to if you do this right they're going

00:05:27.300 to you're going to have civilian casualties you don't want to but there are going to be

00:05:31.860 civilian casualties and there's going to be a lot of casualties on our side as well yeah

00:05:35.220 and so i don't know that we have the stomach for that anymore i don't know either i don't know either

00:05:43.880 and and i would i would like to say that you know maybe president trump if we were to ever have

00:05:51.280 something like this happen would be able to walk us through having that stomach again but i don't

00:05:56.480 think so i don't think so that's a tall order it sure is uh according to uh admiral lord west and

00:06:03.500 again this is you know from the british royal navy so you take it with a grain of salt i guess but he

00:06:08.340 said i think donald trump himself doesn't want to be uh in conflict but there are powerful factions

00:06:13.480 in israel saudi arabia and the u.s who believe an attack would be a good thing this includes john

00:06:19.260 bolton they think they'd destroy the iranian armed forces there would be regime change and all the

00:06:26.440 garden would be rosy only problem with that is they'd be completely wrong wow i think it would

00:06:32.840 be messy i think it's going to be messier than it would be anybody who thinks yeah yeah now iran's

00:06:38.000 foreign minister has said he doesn't believe that war is going to break out either so i mean at least

00:06:41.180 they're trying to back down a little bit too i don't know that they believe it either i you know

00:06:46.520 they have to know right that they don't want war with the united states they they like to posture

00:06:51.600 and they like to bluster and they like to talk about us as the great satan and that they destroy

00:06:57.120 us in the great fire of giard or whatever when it comes right down to it they know better they know

00:07:05.020 better they have to don't they if they're saying at all they have to know that so that's what you

00:07:12.820 count on i guess is that cooler heads prevail because it would be it would be nasty for both

00:07:18.740 sides yeah and neither side wants that kind of thing uh i know we certainly don't no we do not

00:07:28.640 no we do not and i you know apart from the ayatollah uh i think the military generals over there

00:07:35.840 understand uh the realities of life and that uh donald trump may just have a twitchy eye

00:07:42.320 and a twitchy finger and they better not mess they better not push it any further i hope uh you just

00:07:50.300 hope and pray that that's that's the case and uh that cooler heads prevail and we'll see uh triple

00:07:57.580 eight seven two seven beck also president trump in addition to threatening iran over the weekend

00:08:05.300 was opening fire on representative just justin amash after justin amash issued a statement that

00:08:14.600 the president is guilty of impeachable conduct now i i don't know that i agree with justin amash on that

00:08:22.060 uh but the president tweeted never a fan of justin amash total lightweight who opposes me on some of

00:08:29.880 our great republican ideas and policies just for the sake of getting his name out there through

00:08:34.320 controversy i gotta say that's just not true that's that's not justin amash uh if he actually

00:08:41.540 read the biased muller report composed by 18 angry dems who hated trump you would see that it was

00:08:49.040 nevertheless strong on no collusion and ultimately no obstruction anyway how do you obstruct when there 0.98

00:08:57.600 is no crime and in fact the crimes were committed by the other side justin is a loser who sadly plays

00:09:04.660 right into our opponent's hands uh we've talked about justin amash many times um he's a solid

00:09:13.460 conservative and not a loser now i don't i don't agree with him that the president has done impeachable

00:09:20.280 offenses uh but neither do i agree with president trump's assessment of justin amash here again it's

00:09:28.260 that thing where if you if you say anything about him he's he's gonna come after you right if you say

00:09:33.480 anything negative about donald trump he's coming for you absolutely it doesn't matter who you are

00:09:39.220 he's coming for you and so amash is learning that well i mean he he has he put out there his

00:09:46.860 principal conclusions right justin amash attorney general bar has deliberately misrepresented

00:09:51.520 muller's report yeah president trump has engaged in impeachable conduct yep partisanship has eroded

00:09:58.260 our system of checks and balances right few members of congress have read the report and that's true

00:10:03.900 those are his top four yeah okay i don't know that i agree with all of that yeah i don't either

00:10:10.520 and and i don't know that republicans need to be jumping into that chorus of let's impeach donald trump

00:10:16.700 either but uh that doesn't mean that justin amash is a loser nor that he does all of this stuff just

00:10:25.180 for publicity and that's not him no that's not him certainly hasn't been really solid conservative

00:10:30.340 yeah unless he's changed completely um i just wish it wasn't so you know if you can't disagree

00:10:39.980 with this president without being an absolute enemy of him you know so nobody does in the in the

00:10:46.500 republican party and on the right uh you just as you just adopt his position on everything whether

00:10:52.960 his position is conservative or not whether his position is correct or not we have to adopt it like

00:10:58.460 the tariff thing look how many people are are defending tariffs now all of a sudden how did

00:11:04.540 that happen what do you mean tariffs are okay now since when well since 2016 when trump was elected

00:11:11.800 yeah that's that's when they've been okay and look and donald trump is doing it right

00:11:18.560 there's no right way to do tariffs no he's doing it correctly is what i'm saying

00:11:24.660 i know that's what you're saying but what i'm saying is there's no correct way uh to do a tariff

00:11:31.140 um they just backfire on us every single time yeah i mean i'm just talking about every time other than

00:11:37.960 that though you're you're right he's doing them the right way all right 888-727-BECK uh more coming up

00:11:46.620 this is the best of the glenn beck program

00:11:51.580 hi it's glenn if you're a subscriber to the podcast can you do us a favor and rate us on

00:12:07.240 itunes if you're not a subscriber become one today and listen on your own time you can subscribe on

00:12:13.160 itunes thanks it's pat and uh jeffy for glenn this week uh joe biden out on the campaign trail

00:12:18.860 excoriating president trump as america's divider in chief wow did he ever listen to uh the guy he

00:12:27.780 was vice president for during those eight years i missed that yeah i think he did i think he did

00:12:32.940 talk about a guy who divided america barack obama set race relations back 50 years at least 50 years

00:12:41.800 easy uh amazing uh but biden said if the american people want a president to add to our division

00:12:49.380 to lead with a clenched fist closed hand hard heart to demonize your opponents and spew hatred

00:12:55.960 they don't need me they've got president donald trump he's offering a different path folks i love it

00:13:04.660 when he refers to to us as oh folks i love that uh i'm running to offer our country democrats republicans

00:13:11.300 and independence a different path um supposedly he's taking a more moderate tone than the rest of

00:13:20.640 the democrat field um and he says he knows how to go toe-to-toe with the gop but it doesn't have to 0.78

00:13:26.220 be and it can't be that way on every issue and two days before the president comes to pennsylvania

00:13:33.540 for a rally of his own biden sought to counter what might be the president's strongest re-election

00:13:38.200 argument the bright economic picture so of course biden's taking credit for the bright economic

00:13:45.220 picture uh he said it was given to him just like he's inherited everything else in his life

00:13:53.180 and just like everything else he's been given in his life he's in the process of squandering that as

00:14:00.320 well okay the economy was not like this uh when obama and biden were in office they did not hand

00:14:08.340 him a glowing economy that is completely it's a lie it's just a lie it was on the way no it really

00:14:17.300 kind of left it was on the way so it's been what two years now yeah two and a half going on three now

00:14:25.020 so it's perfect that's the way they left it to right sure good then sure i mean it's amazing

00:14:31.240 obama everything that was bad was bush's fault everything that's good now is him that's pretty

00:14:40.340 amazing sure is the the giblets he's got to make that claim it's amazing to watch uh also bernie

00:14:51.280 sanders talking about uh teacher salaries and look i i think teachers should be paid more too but um

00:14:58.160 yeah here's what he had to say about teachers and comparing to professional athletes so if we are a

00:15:04.240 nation that can provide contracts to baseball players for hundreds of millions of dollars

00:15:10.300 don't tell me we cannot pay teachers in this country the kind of wages and salaries they deserve

00:15:17.280 okay that's you're comparing apples to oranges there as one's got nothing to do with the other

00:15:24.080 he knows it and he knows it i mean that's just a ridiculous comparison so you're comparing these

00:15:30.560 athletes who can do uh things in their sport that less than one percent of the people on this planet

00:15:39.560 can do and so of course there that's going to be valuable and the market you know dictates that

00:15:46.780 yes it does you got you got millions of people watching them millions of people uh uh over the

00:15:53.840 course of seasons who go to these games who pay ticket prices millions of people buy merchandise

00:15:59.680 merchandise is strong i mean come on uh and then to compare that to teacher salaries it's just it's

00:16:05.660 ridiculous and would i love for teachers to make more yes and i think they deserve it but there's 0.96

00:16:10.880 another dumb comparison from a dumb socialist i just i it's it's again agonizing to listen to it really 0.99

00:16:23.120 is uh then we've got aoc jumping all over the fact that this uh commencement speaker at a historically 1.00

00:16:31.680 black college over the weekend surprised graduates yeah by announcing he's going to pay off the

00:16:38.360 student debt of the entire class of 2019 robert f smith uh mr philanthropist uh billionaire he's worth

00:16:45.800 i think like five billion something like that wow and uh he was speaking and he decided in his speech

00:16:51.920 that uh he was going to pay for this year's graduates student loans nice so he's going to pay off

00:16:59.300 everybody's debt and that's about 400 kids and they think that that'll be a total donation of about

00:17:06.280 40 million dollars think of that 40 million i mean think of that alone i mean that's pretty sweet

00:17:10.600 and that's nice for you if you're in the class of 2019 uh no kidding but then all of the socialists

00:17:17.100 are jumping in like alexandria ocasio cortez and saying because he was he was doing it on behalf

00:17:22.400 of the government right he didn't no he didn't on behalf of himself really yeah money that he earned

00:17:28.340 right in our capitalistic society exactly the hated dreaded united states of america

00:17:34.860 uh and so she said that that's uh it gets an opportunity to understand how student debt

00:17:45.480 weighs down people well then don't accrue student debt right here's an idea uh work during your high

00:17:54.640 school years save money uh work during your college years pay off your college as you go

00:18:01.020 pay as you go that done before millions of people have done it um and it's just not a thing anymore

00:18:09.820 i guess it's not a thing that you can even ask of these kids hey you know what you should do is uh

00:18:15.600 get a job when you're in high school and uh save your money and pay for college yourself

00:18:22.080 what about that or i don't know get a job during college and pay for college yourself yeah

00:18:29.300 and it would be it's okay to uh you know hey i can't afford to go right now i'm gonna go back to

00:18:35.920 work and save some more money and then i'll go back to school exactly you don't have to accrue massive

00:18:41.100 debt you don't have to i mean if you choose to well then you understand what you're getting into

00:18:46.760 so stop whining about it because you knew what you were getting into and if you insist on going to

00:18:52.160 harvard or yale or princeton you're gonna have massive debt once you're done pretty simple unless

00:18:58.620 your family's incredibly wealthy right or you got scholarships well that's a different deal then

00:19:03.540 so uh you know this whole student debt thing is just uh it's a silly discussion

00:19:12.500 ocasio cortez also said people shouldn't be in a situation where they depend on a stranger's

00:19:18.820 enormous act of charity um well then again they should pay their way through school if they don't

00:19:27.120 want to accrue the debt or here's another option for you uh go to a community college where it's pretty

00:19:32.620 cheap how dare you and you can pretty easily pay for it go to a trade school uh go to a state

00:19:38.940 university heaven forbid um you know there's some options there for there are plenty of options and

00:19:44.560 look the nobody's nobody's complaining about the uh the colleges who are charging more and more

00:19:49.900 for their uh for their uh nobody ever even mentions it one time not one time it's never the fault

00:19:58.480 of the colleges who are charging outrageous tuition to the to the kids who come to the schools i mean

00:20:05.340 look at harvard harvard's got an endowment of almost 40 billion dollars 40 billion they could pay the

00:20:16.820 tuition with that endowment of every single student who goes to that school uh they could all go free

00:20:26.020 for the next 25 years with 40 billion dollars are they gonna do that no no why not i mean they've got

00:20:36.920 the money they could easily do that if they're so altruistic let's see it put up the money or shut up

00:20:44.200 or lower your tuition that's an idea but they don't need to lower their tuition right because it's guaranteed

00:20:50.220 that they're going to get their money right and nobody's complaining about their tuition except that

00:20:54.740 when they have student debt but nobody complains to harvard about right they complain to the

00:20:58.320 government right about that and this is a fantastic example of capitalism it sure is this robert smith

00:21:06.120 who put up his own 40 million dollars to pay off this student that's exactly how capitalism should

00:21:11.880 work he made all that money he wanted to do something really nice with it and he did and he did

00:21:17.520 and he didn't have to didn't have to right and it wasn't the government that paid it off he could

00:21:22.180 have walked away with his honorary doctorate and said hey good luck god bless i'm out i'm gonna go

00:21:27.840 back to my yacht he probably still did that anyway probably because 40 million dollars to a guy who has

00:21:33.800 5 billion is nothing that's like 40 dollars to you and me again i yeah i donated 40 dollars 0.97

00:21:39.920 i'm gonna give you a little kick in the butt you know to help you out here for your tuition there's 1.00

00:21:45.680 40 but i mean it's commendable it's really cool and he'd already pledged like one and a half million 0.98

00:21:52.600 to the school so uh it's nice it's nice of him he didn't have to do that no he did and i'm sure he

00:21:58.820 does a lot of other uh charitable work as well so uh that's what capitalism is all about that's

00:22:05.380 capitalism at its best somebody who earned the money and they of their free will uh wanted to help

00:22:10.800 others that's really cool good for him and good for these students i probably could have paid it

00:22:16.140 in taxes probably could have just given that money to the government and said hey do what you want

00:22:20.420 with it exactly but he decided that what i want to do with it is better yeah it'll go to the people

00:22:28.380 he intends it to go to rather than being squandered by the government yes 888-727-BECK

00:22:34.320 we'll be back in a minute you're listening to the best of the glenn beck program

00:22:42.160 it's pat and uh jeffy for glenn on the glenn beck program this week uh responding to widespread

00:22:57.800 consumer complaints the fcc now says it will take steps to give phone companies permission to block

00:23:05.820 unwanted robocalls it's about time yeah uh that'd be nice i hate these calls uh and i don't even answer 0.94

00:23:17.440 my cell phone that much but every time i do it's some stupid robocall from china i can't i hate it 0.96

00:23:25.540 americans get billions of unwanted phone calls every year it's the number one complaint received 0.96

00:23:32.900 by the fcc number one but carriers have long been wary of blocking robocalls for fear of breaking the

00:23:40.060 regulators call completion rules so the fcc has had this rule that you have to complete calls that are

00:23:46.200 made um and make sure that calls that are made reach their intended recipient which makes sense

00:23:53.020 until now with all of these you know and every time you block a call it just rolls over to the

00:24:00.040 next one another number and then you block that one rolls over to another number and you just keep

00:24:05.740 getting these things anytime i don't answer i i i if you don't if i don't know the number you don't

00:24:12.860 know that answer yeah if you if i my my there's not a name attached my rule of thumb is uh if i don't

00:24:18.820 know you know you the number i don't answer leave me a voicemail i'll call you back right and they do

00:24:23.840 they they leave voicemails i don't know one i very rarely get a voicemail pisses me off i just drives

00:24:30.380 me out of my the only thing worse than getting these robocalls well okay um yeah maybe other than

00:24:39.660 grocery store clerks that want to make small talk oh stop when you bring your when you bring all your

00:24:44.220 food up to there and then they start asking you about the food items you brought to be friendly

00:24:48.640 no i don't want them to be friendly i'm not here to be friendly i'm just here to make a purchase

00:24:53.400 stop it and get out the door okay i don't want to tell you about the items i'm purchasing and what

00:24:59.520 i'm going to do with them i don't want to talk about that i know you do i understand just creating

00:25:06.460 a little i don't a little repertoire i don't want a repertoire if i wanted a repertoire i'd live in france

00:25:13.300 that's not where i live is it

00:25:15.640 repertoires aren't something i do here in america so don't ask me about my weekend don't ask me about

00:25:25.800 my purchases if i'm having a party why i've got steak and ice cream that's none of your business

00:25:30.400 okay because i'm just i'm gonna stuff my face and uh and it's really none of your business what i'm

00:25:39.020 doing with the ice cream okay um so i hate that almost as much as the spam calls uh and then the

00:25:47.240 solicitation at home is that something you're fine with too well you get solicited i do get that no i'm

00:25:54.780 not a fan yeah i'm not a fan if if i want your product or your magazine i'll order it online or

00:26:01.360 i'll go to the store you might not know about it i mean i understand what you know i don't i don't

00:26:07.360 and especially in most neighborhoods certainly in mine there's no soliciting allowed and there's

00:26:14.120 continual solicitors in my neighborhood all the time i that side didn't mean every house did it

00:26:21.520 yeah every house every house in this area no soliciting and i thought i was out of the area

00:26:25.660 don't come here and tell me about uh your bug spray or your roofing my favorite line my favorite

00:26:32.780 line i don't want any of the great the great line that they use they many of them use to try to get

00:26:38.620 in is uh you know hey yeah you know we're doing uh we do the we do the spray for your neighbor down

00:26:44.880 the street yes they yes they always say that that's a great yeah which one which one yeah you're down

00:26:49.600 the street bill a couple of doors down they'll say the first name bill down the street like nobody

00:26:53.460 knows bill down the street i have no idea rarely today do do the do everyone know their neighbors

00:26:59.220 right around the block so if you say you know bill around the corner is a big fan of us and we want

00:27:05.520 you to join in too oh okay great well come on and sit down have a cup of tea yeah that still will not

00:27:12.180 get them an invite no i'm not uh sorry thank you no we're good we're good thank you we're good you

00:27:19.500 know what i just replaced my roof last every once in a while i'm in the mood to hear the pitch

00:27:24.020 just to hear it really yeah just let me hear it go ahead really what do you got i'm never in that

00:27:30.400 mood because i'm still able to say no yeah it's okay just want to hear the pitch and you a lot of

00:27:37.460 times it's magazines like i i'm gonna order a magazine while you're standing here i didn't even

00:27:42.380 know they existed anymore yeah sometimes it's magazines sometimes a lot of times it's roofing

00:27:48.220 yeah a lot of roofing and or or uh bug spray a lot of roofing a lot of uh pest control pest control

00:27:54.440 yeah a lot of yard work yard work yeah a lot of yard work coming around i mean big time i mean

00:27:59.320 they gotta make a living i guess so gotta come around trying to make a living no not at my house

00:28:03.880 no no don't solicit me at my house i don't like that i don't like it which is worse they tried to

00:28:11.240 get you at the grocery store you wouldn't listen to them right that's right yeah you wouldn't listen

00:28:15.220 to them there so they they followed me home i think that's stalking and i think that's illegal

00:28:21.640 too so you can't do anything anymore i don't want any of it but is it worse to get the spam calls

00:28:28.280 the solicitation at home or the obnoxious store clerks asking you about your purchases of course you

00:28:34.800 love that i mean you you love it's just fun it's not fun it's just fun it's really not to most human

00:28:43.300 beings it's just not fun we're in a hurry we're in a bad mood well that's fine in a bad mood i don't

00:28:52.180 want to talk to you about my purchases just say hey you know i really i'm in a hurry i just want

00:28:55.900 to check out and they'll leave you be no i'm not gonna say that why why it's kind of hurry i just

00:29:01.520 want to be it's kind of rude oh i'm in a hurry i just want to be left alone i just don't talk to

00:29:07.240 me no i'm not gonna hurry i just want to get out and they'll leave you be you're not gonna say that

00:29:13.300 that's worse than just being you know quiet it's worse i don't think so yeah i think it is

00:29:19.800 i think it is just quiet that's like did you hear me are you deaf no i would say yeah something like

00:29:27.380 that you know something along those lines oh that's nice yeah the grunt is nicer i'm just in

00:29:33.220 a hurry definitely oh the the grunt is by far nicer i'm in a hurry just leave me alone not leave me

00:29:40.600 alone but i'm in a hurry just i just want to check out and get out of here so anyway these illegal

00:29:45.800 robocalls often containing recordings of scammers posing as government as a government agent have you

00:29:52.220 ever gotten the irs calls uh those are interesting too i love first of all i just want to be on the

00:29:58.040 record of saying that i love the irs i know you do but we all love the irs we're right i love the irs

00:30:05.340 we love the mob because we don't want to be killed by either one of them um but they will call as the

00:30:11.860 irs and they will uh threaten you like this is the i don't know this is a multiple times we've tried to

00:30:18.860 get a hold of you and your uh you owe back taxes or whatever the case may be and you need to call

00:30:25.300 us right away and then there's some scam that if you do call them uh you get charged i don't i don't

00:30:33.180 know exactly how that works because some of it works and some of them is just uh you know some of the

00:30:37.360 the spam calls that are infecting your your phones and the internet there was one spam uh call that just

00:30:43.920 they went through not long ago that they didn't even have you didn't have to pick up usually the you have

00:30:48.500 to pick up uh for it to infect your phones the latest one that they said infected like a billion

00:30:55.280 and a half people was they just called if they called your number you were infected really it was

00:31:01.240 bad yeah wow so i mean they have to stop somehow and what they got to stop it somehow due to the

00:31:07.200 phone what how did it it blew them all up people had blown up phones blew them up blew them up people 0.62

00:31:12.720 wow right in their pocket it just exploded hasn't been reported or anything no that hasn't millions of

00:31:17.340 phones you would think billion a billion and a half phones blowing up in people's pockets they

00:31:22.400 would be i'm trying to think the story was that the phones were infected but then nothing they were

00:31:27.300 saying that uh it wasn't used for anything yet uh before they stopped it but i mean wow that's weird

00:31:34.800 yeah it's weird another one of the calls i always get is from the insure i think they call it the

00:31:41.660 insurance department and your warranty your long-term warranty is about to expire on your car on your

00:31:47.780 vehicle yes that's a big one out of my mind out of my mind no i know that i purchased an extended

00:31:57.120 warranty and i know that it's not expired yet so or i didn't purchase try it's not right i mean that's

00:32:04.840 just the way it is but uh ajit pai said the commission has scheduled a june 6th vote on a

00:32:11.300 measure that would assure phone companies that blocking unwanted calls won't uh run afoul of

00:32:17.720 fcc rules the agency said it would enable phone companies to analyze their network traffic

00:32:23.320 to spot and block robocalls good yeah no kidding they could let customers create so-called white lists

00:32:30.580 of approved callers and block all other incoming calls that would be fantastic no kidding because

00:32:37.340 the do not call uh list that we used to have i don't think that i don't even know if that's in

00:32:42.220 force anymore do you remember doing that i do i do i remember it was such a big deal i remember when

00:32:47.160 it was such a big deal all you gotta do is call them right and then we got so many spam calls on our

00:32:52.200 landline we just turned it off eventually and then so yeah i don't even we we actually have a

00:32:57.880 landline because yeah we do too but it's turned off cheaper to get the line to the cable company

00:33:02.260 right and it isn't really a landline anymore bundled yes yes you you get a better a better

00:33:08.500 right okay fine all right we're not hooking it up and we just turned it off because we got nothing

00:33:13.740 but spam on it yeah and so once we turned that off now our cell phones get nothing but spam on that

00:33:19.120 that's great amazing love it 888-727-BECK it's pat and jeffie for glenn on the glenn back program
