The Glenn Beck Program - Best of the Program ｜ Guests： Sen. Mike Lee & Kellyanne Conway ｜ 5⧸27⧸22

00:00:00.000 i'm going to see uh top gun uh today and i'm kind of it's kind of like you know hey god

00:00:06.880 stop stop spending so much time on tom cruise okay spread that stuff around a little bit yeah

00:00:13.360 he's like the coolest guy alive yeah you know he's gone through his ups and downs yeah i mean

00:00:19.620 he might be a monster but i don't see it well and we know that for example tom brady is a monster 0.71

00:00:25.420 because of his he's a horrible human being for his he's another one yeah he's another slow down 0.97

00:00:32.080 brains good looks talent yeah he's got all the good things in happen in his life and he's taking 0.98

00:00:38.580 away the good things that could happen in your life exactly he's appropriating our positivity

00:00:43.760 exactly right it's exactly right this is there are fewer supermodels that would date me because 1.00

00:00:49.800 he's taking them all it's unfair all right anyway here's uh today's podcast it's really good mike lee

00:00:56.300 is with us uh kellyanne conway i mean she dishes the the dirt and it's not really dirt i mean she's

00:01:04.600 just very very frank about what happened i still don't know what the current status of the relationship

00:01:09.900 with her husband is though i even after you talked about it with her extensively i still don't know i

00:01:14.600 they're still married but i'm not really anyway it's it's a great podcast today don't miss a second

00:01:20.680 here it is

00:01:21.420 you're listening to the best of the glenn beck program

00:01:31.520 i want to be very very careful um because i don't want to have to apologize for anything

00:01:42.940 um and that's what we all should be thinking let's not say things that we don't know to be true

00:01:51.560 or take positions on things we're not sure we do not have all of the facts and i'm not going to throw

00:01:58.680 the police uh under the bus i am going to question the uh federal marshals that were there where the hell

00:02:09.140 were you what were you doing i am going to question them i think we have enough information there 0.97

00:02:14.840 you're wearing tactical gear why the hell isn't your ass inside but the police i don't know and it's 0.96

00:02:23.740 not looking good for them but let's not uh take sides on things and do what the left does before 0.99

00:02:32.280 we know the truth yeah the only thing again you try to construct any reason why they would do some

00:02:39.400 of these things it's very difficult to understand i mean the only thing that i keep coming back to

00:02:43.740 is the difference between let's say an active shooter situation and an inactive shooter situation

00:02:49.640 if you you know you think about every hostage movie you've ever seen right where a person maybe he's

00:02:54.800 not actively shooting he's holding them hostage or maybe he's you know but you would hear that they

00:03:01.680 would have said right he was holding them hostage we had contact with him we were negotiating etc etc

00:03:07.200 right the the right move might be in a situation where he's holding him hostage for example not to

00:03:12.120 bust in because he might kill more people right the other thought is you know as dark as this is to think

00:03:18.680 about potentially he had already done the killing in this room and was barricaded in this room right and

00:03:24.700 therefore the thought from the police officers may have been hey let's evacuate all the other kids get

00:03:29.040 everybody else out of the rest of the school wouldn't have taken an hour if you had him if you

00:03:32.180 thought that he was barricaded and killed everybody in that classroom okay which he did except for two

00:03:39.100 right we do know yeah that we do know that that was not accurate at least because there is a story

00:03:44.400 and it's the worst story you're ever going to hear i don't want to hear it all but just give me the

00:03:48.340 details quickly uh it seems like the agent said hey if you need help uh you know let us know and one of the

00:03:57.360 kids who was hiding said i need help he heard them came over and killed the kid this is from another

00:04:02.860 child who was in the room who witnessed the incident okay so again like it's as dark as it can possibly

00:04:08.180 be but you can see you can construct a scenario where they believe the most the the smartest thing

00:04:14.160 to do because there wasn't ongoing active shooting going on was to try to protect everyone else so but

00:04:20.760 i mean that doesn't let's just let me ask you this you don't know uh did this classroom have windows

00:04:26.260 if so did anybody have eyes on the shooter or the classroom from the outside if not why

00:04:32.380 second he was locked in okay is locked in there's no shots being fired why wasn't at least one police

00:04:42.660 officer positioned at the door so if that door opened up you shot the guy in the head

00:04:48.140 okay and then why did it take you an hour to get everybody out if you know you guy you have him

00:04:55.700 locked in a room why not go to every classroom and say out now now go go go go go go go get

00:05:04.200 everybody out it doesn't take you an hour to do that so something just doesn't look right on this and

00:05:13.320 it's most likely unbelievable incompetence but i can't you know what i just i can't take the lies

00:05:23.340 anymore i i can't take the not trusting anyone anymore let me give you this aoc

00:05:33.300 she came out with a statement yesterday young women are not doing this young non-binary people are not 1.00

00:05:41.100 doing this trans people are not doing this this is the issue we have young men are being radicalized

00:05:48.460 right now really who's radicalizing them who is radicalizing them i i'm not the one that is

00:05:57.100 turning every student in america into a protester that would be you and the teachers unions by the way

00:06:09.480 you also should check your facts yesterday colorado teenager pleaded guilty to multiple charges

00:06:17.020 of murder in the 2019 school shooting outside of denver that left one student dead eight injured

00:06:27.540 alec mckinney who was born biologically a female but identifies as a male pleaded guilty to 16 counts

00:06:38.480 including first degree murder and attempted murder and conspiracy to commit first degree murder after deliberation

00:06:45.560 please give it a rest aoc

00:06:49.200 now the same people who are outraged by this in the democratic party congressional democrats the republicans

00:06:59.480 yeah uh well they were the same people that pushed a bill that would have banned federal funding for

00:07:11.780 school police in 2020 you don't want to arm the teachers because the majority of americans now say

00:07:19.220 we should arm the the teachers yeah 54 percent either strongly or somewhat support the arming of teachers

00:07:28.560 and staff to respond to a school shooting only 35 percent somewhat are strongly opposed so don't tell me

00:07:37.180 about our extremist out of step most people want guns taken away when actually that's not true

00:07:45.900 common sense would be put police there lock all the doors

00:07:53.160 arm the teachers but you know who's against that oh my gosh you know here and this is why this is why

00:08:01.860 you know all the democrats can be counted on uh not going for this solution putting guns in schools

00:08:08.540 even though the majority of people agree with it you know why because the teachers unions

00:08:15.720 yeah the teachers unions they don't think it should be done they're against it

00:08:24.340 in fact they're not just against it they're hostile our public schools should be the safest places for

00:08:34.820 students and educators yet the gunshots from a lone shooter armed with a military grade weapon

00:08:39.480 shattered the physical safety of the school community in uvalde texas you know what also is a military

00:08:46.280 grade weapon at the time a flintlock and then later it was a cap and ball and then later it was the m16

00:08:57.080 all guns at the time are military grade why do you need that it's a weapon of war

00:09:07.940 so was the flintlock

00:09:10.460 and by the way no matter how they try to change the history of the uh ar um it it was a hunting rifle

00:09:25.000 first oh dear have a vessel 0.96

00:09:29.380 time magazine has released an op-ed

00:09:37.100 sometimes calls for america to return to god are couched in the language of consolation

00:09:42.780 especially after mass shootings when 19 children were killed in a school in uvalde texas tuesday

00:09:48.840 a republican from colorado tweeted it's times like these that we should as individuals communities

00:09:53.620 and a nation turn to god for comfort and healing please please america we are running out of time

00:10:01.500 please turn back to god and beg for him to heal our land

00:10:08.140 marjorie taylor green of georgia followed deflection our nation needs to take a serious look at the state of our mental health today

00:10:19.600 don't you think we do don't you think we do because today i could claim i'm a woman 0.97

00:10:29.340 do nothing else just sit here with all the junk in my pants 0.98

00:10:36.120 but i'm wearing panties 0.97

00:10:38.860 and i could come on say hey everybody i identify

00:10:43.960 and if you make fun of me or even question me

00:10:48.120 you're the hater 1.00

00:10:50.060 you're the crazy one 1.00

00:10:52.040 no i don't think so 1.00

00:10:54.060 i don't think so

00:10:55.240 no

00:10:55.800 i think we should look at our mental health today

00:10:59.080 there's a reason we always hear calls for christian nationalism rather than for common sense gun legislation from the right

00:11:07.560 as we've shown in our research guns are practically an element of worship in the church of white christian nationalism

00:11:15.000 white christian nationalism you know who knows about gun rights better than anybody else

00:11:23.080 the native american

00:11:25.180 because what happens when the government took the native american guns away

00:11:30.700 oh they took their land

00:11:33.280 and destroyed them

00:11:35.020 that's right

00:11:36.500 why is it

00:11:39.100 that martin luther king couldn't get a

00:11:41.560 a carry permit

00:11:43.220 to carry a gun

00:11:44.380 why is it

00:11:45.220 because the local sheriff said

00:11:48.720 you don't need that boy

00:11:50.420 we're here to protect you

00:11:53.340 really

00:11:54.800 they did a bang up job

00:11:57.300 why is it

00:12:00.440 the clan

00:12:01.060 made sure 0.97

00:12:01.980 that no blacks 1.00

00:12:03.460 could have any guns 0.99

00:12:04.700 that way they could terrorize them at night

00:12:07.840 don't talk to me about how it's a white christian nationalist idea

00:12:14.060 it is a nationalist idea

00:12:17.540 i guess because we're the only nation that has a second amendment

00:12:20.580 because it wasn't written for sports

00:12:23.920 it was written for a government that was out of control

00:12:28.340 you know

00:12:29.380 let me define out of control

00:12:31.580 one that is canceling everything to do with carbon

00:12:36.900 uh based fuel

00:12:39.160 because the government is in charge

00:12:42.260 of everything now

00:12:44.880 a government that has

00:12:48.080 just decided to

00:12:49.440 spend us into oblivion

00:12:51.640 to bail out all of the big guys

00:12:55.160 make special favors

00:12:57.020 for all the people who have

00:12:58.420 big money

00:12:59.340 you know the government where you go to jail for something

00:13:03.160 but if somebody in the know

00:13:04.900 somebody that's popular

00:13:06.240 somebody that

00:13:07.020 god forbid

00:13:07.860 would do exactly the same thing

00:13:10.320 or far worse

00:13:11.720 in washington

00:13:12.600 they're never held to account

00:13:15.280 but you'd go to jail

00:13:17.360 a government that

00:13:21.180 tells its own citizens

00:13:22.880 close down your business

00:13:25.160 and you have no choice

00:13:27.520 or you're going to jail

00:13:29.880 a government that says

00:13:31.700 you're going to wear masks

00:13:33.460 after the government says

00:13:35.540 masks

00:13:36.320 don't make any difference

00:13:39.180 i think that's a government out of control

00:13:43.240 and if that doesn't meet your bar

00:13:46.240 all the things that are going on

00:13:48.240 if this doesn't meet your bar

00:13:50.380 just wait until they take your guns away

00:13:53.460 no

00:13:55.800 that's not christian or nationalism

00:13:58.680 that

00:14:00.440 is common sense

00:14:02.940 gun regulation

00:14:05.020 you're listening to the best

00:14:11.180 of the glenbeck program

00:14:12.400 this is the glenbeck program

00:14:31.520 we have kellyanne conway

00:14:33.400 coming up in just about a half hour

00:14:35.200 we have in studio with us now

00:14:37.160 senator mike lee

00:14:38.560 hello mike

00:14:39.280 good to be with you

00:14:40.720 mike has put a new book out

00:14:42.500 we'll talk about it

00:14:43.960 a little bit next week

00:14:45.180 saving nine

00:14:46.240 it's all about the supreme court

00:14:48.040 and what they are trying to do

00:14:49.780 the supreme court

00:14:50.520 and why it's so important

00:14:52.320 that they don't win

00:14:53.500 let's talk about the supreme court

00:14:57.460 and i want to talk to you

00:14:58.880 through guns

00:15:00.100 right now

00:15:02.720 we have biden

00:15:04.380 saying you know

00:15:05.500 the second amendment's

00:15:06.720 not an absolute

00:15:07.960 you couldn't have a cannon

00:15:10.060 when this was written

00:15:11.820 i think you could

00:15:13.640 mike i think you could

00:15:14.820 own a cannon

00:15:15.420 and you can't have

00:15:17.700 you know

00:15:18.240 you can't have weapons of war

00:15:20.120 that's what a flintlock was

00:15:21.780 at the time

00:15:22.500 is it absolute or not

00:15:25.160 it's absolute

00:15:27.300 with regard to weapons

00:15:28.680 commonly held

00:15:29.500 by law-abiding citizens

00:15:30.940 for lawful purposes

00:15:32.460 so yeah

00:15:33.580 that extends

00:15:34.580 to guns

00:15:35.300 extends to

00:15:36.100 most guns

00:15:37.480 it extends to most knives

00:15:38.800 all knives

00:15:39.840 as far as i'm aware

00:15:40.760 you have the right

00:15:41.960 to bear arms

00:15:42.520 this goes back

00:15:43.340 i mean

00:15:43.860 nearly 500 years

00:15:46.200 this was a

00:15:48.060 deeply honored

00:15:49.380 tradition

00:15:50.760 and

00:15:51.400 something protected

00:15:52.820 under the english bill of rights

00:15:54.260 long before we became a country

00:15:55.740 so but wait a minute

00:15:56.400 so you said

00:15:57.880 you have a right

00:15:58.580 to own a weapon

00:15:59.500 that is legally

00:16:00.840 allowed to be held

00:16:02.280 well then

00:16:04.100 so could congress

00:16:05.460 just pass laws

00:16:06.560 that just say

00:16:07.460 and that would be

00:16:08.200 constitutional

00:16:08.980 they could say

00:16:09.900 you know what

00:16:10.520 only

00:16:11.860 only six shooters

00:16:13.840 are allowed

00:16:14.780 and i mean

00:16:15.420 you know

00:16:15.860 revolvers

00:16:16.840 well no

00:16:17.560 because we have a

00:16:18.320 long history and tradition

00:16:19.660 of allowing people

00:16:21.340 to

00:16:21.840 have

00:16:22.720 guns

00:16:23.400 and commonly

00:16:24.760 held by

00:16:25.360 law-abiding

00:16:26.040 persons

00:16:26.740 for lawful

00:16:27.820 purposes

00:16:28.420 peaceful purposes

00:16:29.620 so

00:16:30.580 if

00:16:31.420 there is

00:16:32.440 an established

00:16:33.080 tradition

00:16:33.600 for that weapon

00:16:34.520 then you've got a

00:16:35.360 second amendment

00:16:36.100 right to it

00:16:36.960 that doesn't mean

00:16:38.240 that we can't

00:16:38.880 keep it away

00:16:39.400 from people

00:16:40.000 who are convicted

00:16:40.980 felons 1.00

00:16:41.540 or who have been

00:16:42.980 convicted

00:16:43.600 of a misdemeanor

00:16:44.780 offense of domestic

00:16:45.620 violence

00:16:46.120 or are addicted

00:16:47.660 to drugs

00:16:48.380 or have some

00:16:50.160 other

00:16:50.620 mental health

00:16:51.420 yes

00:16:51.840 who have been

00:16:52.420 adjudicated

00:16:53.040 incompetent

00:16:53.960 by a court

00:16:54.700 of competent

00:16:55.100 jurisdiction

00:16:55.580 so you have

00:16:56.960 first of all

00:16:57.740 california

00:16:58.580 just the ninth

00:16:59.720 circuit court

00:17:00.180 of appeals

00:17:00.680 just

00:17:01.300 said that

00:17:02.460 they're

00:17:02.780 under 21

00:17:03.620 gun

00:17:03.960 restriction

00:17:04.420 is unconstitutional

00:17:06.260 and i don't know

00:17:07.920 how we can ask

00:17:08.880 somebody who is

00:17:09.700 18 to go fight

00:17:10.840 a war for us 0.94

00:17:11.800 with a gun

00:17:12.680 and a lot

00:17:13.800 of dangerous

00:17:14.280 things

00:17:14.820 and lay down

00:17:16.220 their life

00:17:16.800 as a citizen

00:17:17.960 for this country

00:17:19.780 and then when

00:17:21.120 they come home

00:17:21.940 if they come home

00:17:23.020 you know

00:17:23.300 before they're 21

00:17:24.360 they don't have

00:17:25.300 full rights

00:17:25.860 of that citizenship

00:17:26.720 by the way

00:17:27.220 what if they

00:17:27.600 lay down their

00:17:28.380 life for their

00:17:29.400 country

00:17:29.780 holding

00:17:30.380 their weapon

00:17:31.460 of choice

00:17:32.180 right

00:17:32.580 is a gun

00:17:33.320 right

00:17:33.820 so they can be

00:17:34.400 trusted in that

00:17:35.000 context

00:17:35.400 but not elsewhere

00:17:36.140 at 16

00:17:37.160 they're allowed

00:17:37.600 to drive

00:17:38.180 a car

00:17:38.960 is also

00:17:39.480 a dangerous

00:17:40.040 weapon

00:17:40.440 can be used

00:17:41.180 has been used

00:17:42.040 for that

00:17:43.360 and so yeah

00:17:43.960 that seems like

00:17:44.480 an arbitrary

00:17:44.880 distinction

00:17:45.500 so Biden

00:17:48.500 has come out

00:17:51.100 and has said

00:17:53.100 that he wants

00:17:53.900 something has got

00:17:55.720 to be done

00:17:56.340 that is really

00:17:57.360 dangerous

00:17:57.880 McConnell

00:17:58.520 has directed

00:17:59.980 John Cornyn

00:18:01.800 to engage

00:18:02.880 with the Democrats

00:18:03.480 on a bipartisan

00:18:04.480 solution on gun

00:18:05.880 violence

00:18:06.320 I have no respect

00:18:07.840 left for John

00:18:08.640 Cornyn

00:18:09.140 even though he is

00:18:10.120 from Texas

00:18:10.720 he is no friend

00:18:12.300 of Liberty

00:18:13.060 what it

00:18:15.480 what is that

00:18:15.940 all about

00:18:16.440 it's it's

00:18:17.820 hard to say

00:18:18.740 I don't know

00:18:19.540 that we've heard

00:18:20.020 from John

00:18:21.000 Cornyn

00:18:21.380 or from Mitch

00:18:22.020 McConnell

00:18:22.400 what exactly

00:18:23.200 if anything

00:18:23.640 they want

00:18:24.560 enacted

00:18:25.300 but I'll tell

00:18:26.100 you this

00:18:26.400 I'll tell you

00:18:26.700 my approach

00:18:27.520 to it

00:18:27.840 I do think

00:18:28.700 there is

00:18:29.320 some danger

00:18:30.020 in approaching

00:18:32.020 a national

00:18:32.860 emergency

00:18:33.340 and responding

00:18:33.900 to it

00:18:34.200 by saying

00:18:34.600 we need

00:18:35.040 another law

00:18:35.600 we need

00:18:35.920 another law

00:18:36.560 right now

00:18:37.200 every time

00:18:38.220 government

00:18:38.600 expands

00:18:39.480 every time

00:18:39.980 it extends

00:18:40.780 its reach

00:18:41.240 by passing

00:18:41.780 a new law

00:18:42.380 it undermines

00:18:43.820 liberty

00:18:44.200 in one way

00:18:44.760 or another

00:18:45.160 doesn't mean

00:18:45.740 it's always

00:18:46.180 a bad thing

00:18:46.860 but it is

00:18:47.360 a bad thing

00:18:48.400 typically

00:18:48.840 to legislate

00:18:50.360 under

00:18:51.300 intense emotion

00:18:52.660 in the immediate

00:18:54.180 aftermath

00:18:54.720 of an emergency

00:18:55.700 or crisis

00:18:56.440 that's where

00:18:57.320 bad law

00:18:57.880 happens

00:18:58.360 so

00:18:59.420 so Mike

00:19:00.220 what is

00:19:00.840 coming our

00:19:01.620 way

00:19:02.040 do you

00:19:03.700 think the

00:19:04.340 Supreme Court

00:19:05.020 knows who

00:19:05.640 the leaker

00:19:06.000 was

00:19:06.420 yes

00:19:07.320 I do

00:19:07.760 I believe

00:19:08.560 the Supreme

00:19:09.020 Court

00:19:09.260 almost certainly

00:19:10.200 has figured

00:19:10.660 it out

00:19:10.940 by now

00:19:11.300 I believe

00:19:11.720 the Supreme

00:19:12.060 Court

00:19:12.240 probably

00:19:12.720 figured out

00:19:13.360 within

00:19:14.300 a couple

00:19:15.000 of days

00:19:15.340 who the

00:19:15.600 league

00:19:15.760 was

00:19:15.980 and I

00:19:17.620 suspect

00:19:18.140 don't know

00:19:18.780 this but I

00:19:19.240 suspect what

00:19:19.880 they're doing

00:19:20.360 is they're

00:19:20.660 wanting to wait

00:19:21.140 until the end

00:19:21.720 of the term

00:19:22.220 until after

00:19:23.020 the Dobbs

00:19:24.180 ruling has

00:19:24.840 been announced

00:19:25.440 before airing

00:19:26.680 to the world

00:19:27.100 who it was

00:19:27.700 because that

00:19:28.160 might just

00:19:29.560 add to the

00:19:30.240 confusion the

00:19:30.860 discussion around

00:19:31.660 it and

00:19:32.340 it might also

00:19:33.460 somebody will

00:19:34.040 pay for that

00:19:34.700 yeah I do

00:19:36.020 I do

00:19:36.580 I think

00:19:37.620 they know

00:19:38.420 who it

00:19:38.820 was and

00:19:39.260 I do

00:19:39.540 think that

00:19:39.900 that person

00:19:40.360 will have

00:19:40.640 consequences

00:19:41.180 if as I

00:19:42.520 suspect it

00:19:43.620 was a law

00:19:44.160 clerk I

00:19:45.060 think that

00:19:45.400 law clerk

00:19:45.920 likely will

00:19:47.560 never practice

00:19:48.120 law if

00:19:49.680 that's not

00:19:50.300 okay to

00:19:51.320 leak confidential

00:19:52.260 information not

00:19:53.320 your own to

00:19:55.240 the world and

00:19:55.740 this was very

00:19:56.460 very sensitive

00:19:57.320 information I

00:19:58.940 hope somebody

00:19:59.620 pays for it

00:20:00.260 because that's

00:20:00.620 another problem

00:20:01.260 we have in

00:20:02.360 America right

00:20:03.060 now people

00:20:03.480 don't trust

00:20:03.940 the system

00:20:04.520 and there's

00:20:06.360 no reason

00:20:06.760 there's really

00:20:07.600 not a lot of

00:20:08.500 reasons to

00:20:09.320 trust it

00:20:09.960 nobody seems

00:20:11.460 to pay for

00:20:12.220 crimes and

00:20:13.380 that's the

00:20:13.920 sad part about

00:20:15.060 this is that

00:20:15.660 in that case

00:20:16.520 this was

00:20:17.720 one system

00:20:19.200 that still has

00:20:20.000 been trusted

00:20:20.620 yes the

00:20:21.160 Supreme Court

00:20:21.560 of the United

00:20:21.880 States look

00:20:22.340 warts and all

00:20:23.040 they issue

00:20:23.780 plenty of

00:20:24.220 rulings that

00:20:24.640 I disagree

00:20:25.020 with that

00:20:25.380 I don't

00:20:25.700 like our

00:20:26.760 federal court

00:20:27.420 system is

00:20:28.120 the best

00:20:28.580 of its kind

00:20:29.160 in the

00:20:29.700 world and

00:20:30.760 we benefit

00:20:31.300 from it

00:20:31.740 tremendously

00:20:32.520 as Americans

00:20:33.360 because of

00:20:33.900 it

00:20:34.060 when you

00:20:34.840 leak an

00:20:35.300 opinion

00:20:35.620 before it's

00:20:36.320 out trying

00:20:36.860 to impact

00:20:37.640 the outcome

00:20:38.600 of that

00:20:39.300 particular

00:20:40.420 dispute

00:20:41.060 you undermine

00:20:42.040 the credibility

00:20:42.660 of the court

00:20:43.300 that's what

00:20:43.740 the left's

00:20:44.160 trying to do

00:20:44.760 so did

00:20:45.400 they

00:20:45.840 do you

00:20:47.400 think this

00:20:47.840 changed

00:20:48.380 or hardened

00:20:49.640 the stance

00:20:50.640 of this

00:20:51.360 leak

00:20:51.700 hardened

00:20:52.320 the stance

00:20:52.980 of those

00:20:53.500 that were

00:20:53.780 for

00:20:54.260 you know

00:20:56.280 this

00:20:56.600 the

00:20:57.400 leaked

00:20:58.460 opinion

00:20:59.580 I hope

00:21:00.940 and I

00:21:01.820 fundamentally

00:21:02.680 believe that

00:21:03.340 it will

00:21:03.580 harden

00:21:03.920 the stance

00:21:04.620 of those

00:21:05.760 who had

00:21:06.060 already

00:21:06.280 decided

00:21:07.380 preliminarily

00:21:08.100 to cast

00:21:08.620 their votes

00:21:09.060 with Justice

00:21:10.140 Alito's

00:21:10.600 masterfully

00:21:11.320 written

00:21:11.780 opinion

00:21:12.160 I think

00:21:12.320 so too

00:21:12.620 it was

00:21:13.180 beautiful

00:21:13.780 it was

00:21:14.040 brilliant

00:21:14.360 anyone

00:21:14.780 on either

00:21:15.700 side of

00:21:16.080 this issue

00:21:16.640 should read

00:21:18.560 that opinion

00:21:19.180 because it

00:21:20.060 is fantastic

00:21:20.940 yeah so

00:21:21.520 now we

00:21:22.640 have let me

00:21:23.360 go back

00:21:23.800 again because

00:21:24.420 I'm looking

00:21:24.840 at what's

00:21:25.340 coming I'm

00:21:25.740 building this

00:21:26.520 to the

00:21:28.200 nine justices

00:21:29.320 that they're

00:21:30.680 going to want

00:21:30.940 to pack

00:21:31.220 the court

00:21:31.600 we have

00:21:32.800 a couple

00:21:33.120 of cases

00:21:33.700 that are

00:21:34.900 just as

00:21:36.020 strong

00:21:36.660 as Roe

00:21:37.840 versus Wade

00:21:38.520 in their

00:21:39.200 area do we

00:21:40.020 not we have

00:21:40.800 one on gun

00:21:41.720 rights

00:21:42.160 we do indeed

00:21:42.900 at New York

00:21:43.760 State Rifle

00:21:45.020 and Pistol

00:21:45.600 Association

00:21:46.200 versus

00:21:46.620 Brune

00:21:47.000 a case in

00:21:48.080 which I

00:21:48.400 submitted an

00:21:48.960 amicus brief

00:21:49.520 a friend of

00:21:49.980 the court

00:21:50.300 brief

00:21:50.620 very significant

00:21:52.000 issues related

00:21:53.060 to the second

00:21:53.600 which means

00:21:54.420 what the

00:21:55.080 argument is

00:21:55.940 New York

00:21:57.180 and I know

00:21:57.660 it because I

00:21:58.360 couldn't get a

00:21:58.980 gun in New

00:21:59.380 York and I

00:21:59.760 had 15

00:22:00.420 active threats

00:22:01.240 on my life

00:22:01.940 the entire

00:22:03.440 time I was

00:22:04.280 in New

00:22:04.540 York

00:22:04.780 you have to

00:22:07.320 prove that

00:22:08.500 you have a

00:22:09.640 need to

00:22:10.700 carry a gun

00:22:11.720 an exceptional

00:22:12.880 need yes

00:22:13.660 you have to

00:22:14.220 prove that

00:22:15.120 you are

00:22:15.720 different

00:22:16.380 differently

00:22:17.160 situated than

00:22:17.880 most citizens

00:22:18.900 and that you

00:22:19.680 have this

00:22:20.140 heightened need

00:22:20.760 to it

00:22:21.120 what they're

00:22:21.940 doing is

00:22:22.420 taking a

00:22:23.060 generally

00:22:23.660 applicable

00:22:24.120 right that

00:22:25.580 the founding

00:22:26.480 fathers gave

00:22:27.780 us and

00:22:28.900 said okay

00:22:29.540 this obviously

00:22:30.760 can't be for

00:22:31.960 everyone it

00:22:32.920 can't even be

00:22:33.800 for most

00:22:34.260 people and

00:22:34.680 in fact we're

00:22:35.520 going to make

00:22:36.180 it only

00:22:37.020 available under

00:22:37.920 exceptional

00:22:38.720 circumstances

00:22:39.540 it's rather the

00:22:40.980 opposite of a

00:22:42.000 right right

00:22:42.820 so we have

00:22:44.720 that coming

00:22:45.580 out anything

00:22:46.100 else that's

00:22:46.760 real controversial

00:22:47.560 that you think

00:22:48.820 they will

00:22:49.300 there are some

00:22:50.600 administrative law

00:22:51.660 decisions coming

00:22:52.580 out that I

00:22:53.220 hope I

00:22:53.900 suspect could

00:22:55.080 end up having

00:22:55.660 some bearing

00:22:56.280 on the

00:22:56.620 ability of

00:22:57.500 executive branch

00:22:58.740 agencies unelected

00:23:00.000 unaccountable

00:23:00.560 bureaucrats to

00:23:01.280 make law

00:23:01.900 okay but the

00:23:03.140 real the gun

00:23:03.920 one and

00:23:04.760 abortion will 0.88

00:23:06.000 could ignite

00:23:07.540 the streets

00:23:08.720 and then also

00:23:10.780 start a push

00:23:12.020 for packing

00:23:13.140 the court

00:23:13.640 yes that's

00:23:14.860 what they do

00:23:15.600 and Glenn

00:23:16.460 that's why I

00:23:17.200 wrote my book

00:23:18.240 saving nine

00:23:18.860 which is available

00:23:19.700 on pre-order

00:23:20.680 now you can

00:23:21.460 buy it on

00:23:21.780 Amazon now

00:23:22.400 saving nine

00:23:22.960 I started

00:23:23.300 writing this

00:23:23.860 over a year

00:23:24.840 ago because I

00:23:25.660 predicted this

00:23:26.740 very thing

00:23:27.300 happening I

00:23:28.280 started thinking

00:23:28.800 I realized my

00:23:29.480 gosh we could

00:23:30.500 end up in a

00:23:31.020 situation by the

00:23:32.380 summer of

00:23:33.200 2022 where

00:23:35.200 Roe gets

00:23:36.200 overturned and

00:23:37.320 in response to

00:23:38.000 that the left

00:23:38.560 will try to

00:23:39.020 demonize and

00:23:39.880 delegitimize the

00:23:41.180 court and isolate

00:23:42.320 those who have

00:23:43.060 voted for it and

00:23:44.140 they're going to

00:23:44.460 go back to their 0.93

00:23:44.980 tried and true

00:23:45.480 playbook of

00:23:46.060 1937 where they 0.57

00:23:47.240 tried to pack the

00:23:47.960 court though I

00:23:49.460 explain in saving

00:23:50.200 nine how it

00:23:51.780 is that this

00:23:52.800 backfires this

00:23:54.580 backfires on the

00:23:56.060 best judicial

00:23:56.660 system in the

00:23:57.260 world why it is

00:23:58.400 that in 1937 the

00:23:59.680 last time the

00:24:00.140 Democrats tried

00:24:00.920 this it left a

00:24:02.440 lasting mark a

00:24:03.780 mark that has

00:24:04.620 caused all sorts

00:24:05.500 of problems in our

00:24:06.080 government ever

00:24:06.720 since then the

00:24:08.200 threat of court

00:24:09.380 packing even though

00:24:10.080 it didn't succeed

00:24:10.860 there influenced the

00:24:12.500 court it harassed

00:24:13.460 and intimidated the

00:24:14.300 port the court to

00:24:15.220 the point that the

00:24:16.000 court deferred blindly

00:24:18.020 to FDR and

00:24:18.920 changed the law so

00:24:20.120 FDR did this but

00:24:21.780 the Democrats

00:24:22.680 generally speaking

00:24:23.780 were against it it

00:24:24.840 was the Democrats

00:24:25.540 that were fighting

00:24:26.320 along with the

00:24:27.020 Republicans fighting

00:24:28.600 FDR on this you

00:24:29.960 don't have that

00:24:30.560 situation now you

00:24:31.600 don't have that

00:24:32.380 situation now and

00:24:33.800 in fact the very

00:24:34.520 same Democrats who

00:24:36.340 have for decades

00:24:37.860 decried court

00:24:39.500 packing they're

00:24:40.200 ashamed that their

00:24:41.200 party did this are

00:24:42.580 now changing course

00:24:44.160 they're now back on

00:24:45.140 board look Joe

00:24:46.200 Biden when he was

00:24:46.940 in the Senate called

00:24:48.020 it a boneheaded 0.74

00:24:48.920 idea it was a

00:24:49.740 boneheaded idea

00:24:50.580 when FDR did it and

00:24:51.940 it would be a

00:24:52.380 boneheaded idea now

00:24:53.400 right his words not

00:24:54.480 mine Ruth Bader

00:24:55.520 Ginsburg just a

00:24:56.200 couple years ago

00:24:56.720 before she died

00:24:57.440 said essentially the

00:24:59.720 same thing Democrat

00:25:00.580 after Democrat had

00:25:01.500 said this but now

00:25:02.680 they're ignoring all

00:25:04.500 that now they're

00:25:05.260 saying but we have

00:25:05.960 to do it and

00:25:06.480 that's because the

00:25:07.200 in my opinion the

00:25:08.220 Democrats are not

00:25:09.000 Democrats they're 0.62

00:25:09.840 more Marxist

00:25:10.640 revolutionaries because

00:25:12.200 this is once you

00:25:13.820 lose this you're

00:25:16.620 done as a nation

00:25:17.440 are you not well

00:25:18.380 yeah you're you're

00:25:19.780 done at least as a

00:25:20.700 nation that lives

00:25:21.340 under the rule of

00:25:21.960 law because in

00:25:23.640 order for the rule

00:25:26.000 of law to work in

00:25:26.800 order for a

00:25:27.640 Republican form of

00:25:29.280 government to work in

00:25:30.000 a constitutional

00:25:30.520 republic like ours

00:25:31.500 you do have to have

00:25:32.860 a neutral independent

00:25:34.080 arbiter of what the

00:25:35.540 law means when people

00:25:36.460 disagree as to the

00:25:37.560 law's meaning you

00:25:38.680 lose that if you

00:25:39.900 pack the court

00:25:40.480 because the court

00:25:41.240 then becomes a

00:25:42.080 political football

00:25:42.780 it stops resembling

00:25:44.600 a court and starts

00:25:45.440 to resemble the

00:25:46.240 intergalactic senate

00:25:47.240 in Star Wars where

00:25:48.340 so many people can't

00:25:49.280 be managed

00:25:49.660 right one last

00:25:51.400 thing I want to

00:25:52.180 talk to you about

00:25:52.580 the Durham case

00:25:53.480 I just talked to

00:25:55.000 Bill Barr and he

00:25:57.560 told some fascinating

00:25:58.640 behind the scenes

00:25:59.920 stuff that that's a

00:26:01.400 podcast that's out

00:26:02.300 today and I was

00:26:04.840 really actually angry

00:26:05.860 with him that you

00:26:06.780 know like where was

00:26:07.900 this and he had

00:26:08.560 really good

00:26:09.520 explanations for all

00:26:11.160 of it he said that

00:26:13.300 he knew that Durham

00:26:15.240 would continue but

00:26:17.320 we're looking at now

00:26:18.820 the I mean it looks

00:26:20.520 like it's tying right

00:26:21.420 directly to Hillary 0.95

00:26:22.420 Clinton I mean it

00:26:23.380 looks bad for Sussman

00:26:25.280 and and the Clinton

00:26:26.320 campaign however the

00:26:28.260 jury is from Washington

00:26:30.820 D.C. there are two

00:26:32.360 donors to Hillary

00:26:33.540 Clinton's campaign I

00:26:35.980 mean it's it's a very

00:26:37.320 tainted jury is there

00:26:40.800 anything that I mean

00:26:41.640 if the facts are there

00:26:43.900 and the jury dismisses

00:26:45.160 it it's over right

00:26:46.120 yes that is a central

00:26:48.500 feature of our system

00:26:50.060 correct when a crime is

00:26:51.080 prosecuted you've got a

00:26:52.160 jury and the jury makes

00:26:53.720 a decision the jury's

00:26:54.940 decision is unreviewable

00:26:56.400 so then if they don't pay

00:27:01.660 again if nobody pays for

00:27:03.060 this what what do we how

00:27:06.740 do we how do we retrieve

00:27:08.540 yeah that's a good

00:27:09.800 question so it's true the

00:27:11.680 jury's decision in that

00:27:13.360 case is unreviewable

00:27:14.580 that's those are

00:27:15.720 protections we offer for

00:27:16.840 the individuals and it

00:27:18.380 should be and I agree with

00:27:19.320 double jeopardy shouldn't

00:27:20.340 happen but when you get a

00:27:21.500 jury that decides not to

00:27:23.180 convict for whatever reason

00:27:24.500 that doesn't mean the facts

00:27:25.800 go away it doesn't mean

00:27:27.600 the evidence isn't there

00:27:29.180 it doesn't mean the

00:27:30.340 American people can't won't 0.99

00:27:31.720 be and shouldn't be

00:27:32.920 informed by the evidence

00:27:34.500 presented to the jury we

00:27:36.140 still will have that

00:27:37.080 the best of the Glenn Beck

00:27:41.140 program

00:27:41.920 well it is a pleasure to

00:27:49.520 welcome on the program the

00:27:51.660 author of here's the deal and

00:27:54.140 former Trump campaign

00:27:55.500 manager former senior

00:27:57.020 counselor to President

00:27:58.200 Trump Kellyanne Conway

00:27:59.980 hello Kellyanne how are

00:28:01.080 you I'm wonderful Glenn

00:28:02.960 Beck and thank you for

00:28:03.840 having me today you bet

00:28:05.220 good to hear your voice in

00:28:06.320 person yeah thank you so I

00:28:10.120 have to start because this

00:28:11.940 is the I mean I'm sorry but

00:28:13.660 this is the thing that I've

00:28:14.920 always wondered you and

00:28:16.780 your husband are you like

00:28:18.020 James Carville and and Mary

00:28:20.140 Matlin no we're not and I

00:28:23.080 know I'm glad you asked that

00:28:24.040 question because other

00:28:24.680 people just write it and

00:28:25.600 they presume it that's not

00:28:26.640 what this is and he was

00:28:27.860 never a Democrat working

00:28:29.100 against my Republican

00:28:30.700 presidential candidate that

00:28:32.300 would be James Carville who

00:28:34.200 helped make Bill Clinton's

00:28:35.180 career Mary Madeline very

00:28:36.760 smart Republican strategist

00:28:38.220 who worked for the Bushes and

00:28:39.340 others in this case George and

00:28:41.860 I both were of a single mind

00:28:43.440 that Donald Trump had to beat

00:28:44.720 Hillary Clinton and become

00:28:45.860 president of the United States

00:28:47.160 George was incredibly

00:28:48.180 supportive even helpful

00:28:49.640 coming to the campaign many

00:28:51.240 nights after leaving his own

00:28:53.020 job a few blocks away from

00:28:54.520 Trump Tower and I write in

00:28:57.140 the book this new book

00:28:58.120 here's the deal when great

00:28:59.580 beach read great Father's Day

00:29:01.520 gift get on it folks I write

00:29:03.460 there very explicitly that

00:29:04.700 people say without Kellyanne

00:29:06.880 Conway Donald Trump would not

00:29:08.140 have been elected in 2016 that's

00:29:10.140 debatable but what will never

00:29:11.460 be in doubt is that without

00:29:13.200 George Conway Kellyanne Conway

00:29:15.400 could not have been the campaign

00:29:17.380 manager in this closing months

00:29:18.860 of 2016 to the extent I was

00:29:20.540 he encouraged if not insisted

00:29:23.260 me to take my shot he was the

00:29:24.900 George was the only person I

00:29:26.440 told in the hours after

00:29:28.900 Mr. Trump offered me the

00:29:31.500 campaign management job and he

00:29:32.620 said Kellyanne you're doing

00:29:33.500 this he can actually win with

00:29:34.580 you and I'll help out more at

00:29:36.060 home and he did and so people

00:29:38.260 just need to know the facts and

00:29:40.620 George and I had something else

00:29:41.740 in common and not just as

00:29:42.900 parents of these four wonderful

00:29:43.980 children Glenn Beck but we had

00:29:45.900 in common that we both accepted

00:29:47.280 big jobs in the Trump

00:29:48.720 administration everyone knows

00:29:50.080 what my job there they saw me

00:29:51.580 out there again and again but

00:29:53.780 George had accepted a position

00:29:55.300 at a nomination as the head of

00:29:57.780 the civil division of the US

00:29:59.480 Department of Justice that's a

00:30:00.660 big job and he you know did

00:30:03.360 that now he changed his mind

00:30:04.380 about Donald Trump this is

00:30:05.640 America we can all do that

00:30:06.940 Glenn Beck you can change your

00:30:08.000 mind about Donald Trump about

00:30:09.620 politics about what you're

00:30:10.540 having for dinner whatever it is

00:30:11.860 but to do it in such a public

00:30:14.160 way was so not George and was

00:30:15.880 so not helpful to his wife

00:30:18.000 and to our family what why did

00:30:20.280 he feel it was necessary you

00:30:22.820 say it wasn't like him what can

00:30:26.520 you get into that why did he feel

00:30:27.840 it was so necessary oh I think

00:30:31.020 people who change their mind about

00:30:33.280 Donald Trump and people who are

00:30:34.600 already congenitally afflicted with

00:30:36.620 Trump derangement syndrome for

00:30:37.840 which there are no therapeutics and

00:30:39.280 no vaccine look around there

00:30:43.420 certainly isn't they feel duty

00:30:45.280 bound to express that publicly

00:30:47.240 because they find an immediate and

00:30:49.700 equally vociferous hungry audience

00:30:51.920 in so doing but as I put in my

00:30:54.060 book you know I miss the privately

00:30:55.380 brilliant George Conway not the

00:30:57.640 publicly bombastic bombastic one that

00:30:59.660 he had become and listen George is a

00:31:02.300 very smart person he graduated

00:31:03.500 Harvard at 20 graduated Yale Law

00:31:05.180 School at 23 made partner at the

00:31:07.880 premier law firm in New York City at

00:31:09.760 30 unheard of in these days after

00:31:11.760 five years only unheard of and he's

00:31:14.060 we've been married for many

00:31:15.080 decades we have four children

00:31:16.160 together what what what this all

00:31:18.220 comes down to is I don't

00:31:19.600 understand what was happening the

00:31:20.660 reason I call it cheating by

00:31:21.860 tweeting is because of how he was

00:31:23.180 spending his time so if you have a

00:31:25.220 side piece if you have a gumaz the

00:31:26.840 Italians in my family the Italian

00:31:28.580 men in my family did growing up if

00:31:30.960 you had a you know you have a

00:31:32.320 mistress you're spending time with

00:31:33.740 that person thinking about her and

00:31:35.400 meeting with her and being with

00:31:37.240 her and planning that and

00:31:38.660 pretending you weren't with her and

00:31:39.700 just felt this was very similar in

00:31:41.700 that this this consumed an awful lot

00:31:43.320 of his time and his attention and

00:31:44.580 you saw what happened George Conway

00:31:46.800 became a folk hero but actually

00:31:48.400 Kellyanne Conway's husband did I put

00:31:50.140 in the book quantitatively that he

00:31:52.200 was referred to as Kellyanne Conway's

00:31:54.000 husband routinely which tells you all

00:31:55.540 you need to know about what their

00:31:56.700 real motive was particularly in those

00:31:58.940 beginning months if not year which

00:32:01.020 was to try to stick it to me to try

00:32:02.520 to put division between Donald Trump

00:32:03.980 and me to try to get me to quit my

00:32:05.820 job I was good at my job and I loved

00:32:08.200 my job I loved my public service job

00:32:09.900 and I was darn good at it and I was

00:32:11.420 very focused on it and I think the

00:32:12.920 media who never knew whose job you

00:32:15.060 know what the job of the media Glenn

00:32:17.100 is in my view to get the story but

00:32:20.620 they took it upon themselves to get

00:32:22.420 the president and those around him his

00:32:24.280 family members his senior staffers and

00:32:26.120 their families and they couldn't get

00:32:28.240 enough of Kellyanne Conway's husband

00:32:29.840 I have to ask just one quick follow-up

00:32:32.700 question because you write in the book

00:32:33.860 that Ivanka came to you and gave you I

00:32:36.660 think two names of marriage counselors

00:32:38.800 and you guys went what it was you guys

00:32:41.700 are married and it are things better

00:32:43.560 now or we did not go I put in the book

00:32:46.500 that oh you did not go I thought you

00:32:48.460 had two names I thought she gave you two

00:32:50.780 names and he said yes to one that's

00:32:53.160 right he said no to one and then he

00:32:54.380 sort of shrugged at the other and we

00:32:55.640 never went and the way I look at it is

00:32:57.660 that that it wouldn't be so public about

00:32:59.740 something so private except yeah it's

00:33:01.820 important to know that I take my

00:33:03.600 marriage vows very seriously I've

00:33:04.860 always been faithful to them and when

00:33:06.940 I said forever I meant it and and it

00:33:09.760 was very nice to be Ivanka Trump who

00:33:11.480 and I put in the book Glenn that you

00:33:14.080 know I was talking to her about

00:33:15.540 something else our offices were right

00:33:17.280 next to each other in the West Wing on

00:33:18.740 the second floor I called the cool

00:33:19.760 kids wing White House Counsel's

00:33:20.980 Office me Johnny DeStefano and Dina

00:33:23.060 Powell at Ivanka and then Larry

00:33:24.880 Kudlow across from us and I and I she

00:33:26.740 was very Ivanka is a very nice person

00:33:28.500 he's very gracious very kind and she

00:33:31.060 gave it to me on a post-it because she

00:33:33.220 knew I was open to receiving it and

00:33:34.480 she said listen I've got lots of

00:33:35.700 Democrats in my family I know how this

00:33:37.260 goes and these they're making things

00:33:39.100 harder for all of us and it was very

00:33:40.420 nice of her but we never went and I the

00:33:42.680 reason I talk about it is I think that

00:33:44.840 if George wanted to do that he would

00:33:46.620 have done that because that's the way

00:33:47.740 he's we see the way he spent his time

00:33:49.340 he did exactly what he wanted to do so

00:33:50.900 I want to make very clear right now as

00:33:53.260 I make clear in the book because I

00:33:54.720 know it gets manipulated is that

00:33:57.340 George does not owe loyalty and feel

00:33:59.120 to Donald Trump or to the president

00:34:01.860 of the United States or to a political

00:34:03.000 party or to this or that the vows were

00:34:05.500 to me so if he wants to change his mind

00:34:07.560 he can do that this is America but

00:34:09.180 changing his mind about me and that job

00:34:11.320 after we moved our family there

00:34:12.740 together put the kids in new schools

00:34:15.020 accepted jobs and even when he took his

00:34:18.020 name out of contention yes out of

00:34:20.380 contention for the civil division chief of

00:34:23.900 the U.S. Department of Justice Glenn he

00:34:26.220 put out a statement not on Twitter because

00:34:28.120 he wasn't much a tweeter then put out a

00:34:30.980 statement saying Mr. President thank

00:34:32.640 you for this wonderful opportunity and

00:34:34.120 of course I still support your

00:34:35.960 administration and the work of my

00:34:37.900 wonderful wife a couple days later he

00:34:40.200 sent out his first tweet I put in the

00:34:41.460 book that Sean Spicer then the press

00:34:43.120 secretary is coming toward me in the 1.00

00:34:44.480 East Room and he said did you know

00:34:45.780 about this and he's showing me a tweet

00:34:47.300 that apparently came from George Conway

00:34:48.700 I have an entire chapter in my new book

00:34:50.420 here's the deal Glenn that says but

00:34:52.220 George doesn't tweet and that's

00:34:54.220 exactly what I said I said that can't be

00:34:55.480 true that he doesn't tweet that's a

00:34:56.740 fake account or it was that and then and

00:34:59.380 we all know the rest is history okay so

00:35:01.660 you know you you mentioned that Ivanka

00:35:04.300 was very gracious to you and that's the

00:35:08.360 one thing that I don't think you that

00:35:10.360 never comes out about the president as

00:35:13.180 well his children are very very gracious

00:35:15.720 but he is incredibly gracious and warm in

00:35:23.200 person it's like he's like a different

00:35:25.840 person when he's not on you know when

00:35:29.200 he's not on stage is do I have that read

00:35:32.200 right of him you have it absolutely right

00:35:35.060 and I know that you've had contact with

00:35:36.700 him so you know this to be true you've

00:35:38.020 had conversations with him in person more

00:35:39.700 than a few Glenn it is absolutely true

00:35:41.940 and if Donald Trump was not a good boss

00:35:43.400 let alone a good boss to women or a good 0.99

00:35:44.980 boss to working mothers of which there 1.00

00:35:47.140 were many in the White House I wouldn't

00:35:49.880 have worked there why would I do that he

00:35:51.780 was a great boss he's very warm and I

00:35:53.640 think Donald Trump will never get full

00:35:55.180 credit for something he's never asked

00:35:56.480 credit for which is how many times he

00:35:59.320 trans positively transformed people's

00:36:02.080 lives by picking up the phone by making

00:36:04.440 a call by making his private jet available

00:36:07.120 back in the day by just connecting people

00:36:09.840 need with opportunity and and he never

00:36:12.880 really you know he doesn't brag about

00:36:14.120 that any more than the people who would

00:36:15.780 run around in the comms department

00:36:17.040 saying I think you should you know go do

00:36:19.400 an off-the-record ice cream stop with

00:36:21.240 your nine grandchildren and he would

00:36:22.940 say why would I do that I enjoy them in

00:36:24.440 private in other words he he's very

00:36:26.680 authentic that way and he's very warm

00:36:28.560 and gracious and even Hillary Clinton 0.66

00:36:29.960 I write in the book Hillary Clinton

00:36:31.540 acknowledged as much in a debate in one

00:36:34.180 of the debates in 2016 Glenn each of

00:36:36.640 them Trump and Hillary were asked about

00:36:38.640 the other say something nice about the

00:36:39.860 other compliment the other and her

00:36:42.720 compliment of him was I don't agree

00:36:44.180 with Donald on those things we disagree

00:36:45.560 on everything but he has raised really

00:36:47.400 really great kids adult kids and and

00:36:50.500 then look what happened they went

00:36:51.900 after them still do but but it

00:36:54.060 absolutely is true and look it's a

00:36:55.360 measure if we can all be remembered

00:36:56.940 for our kids I think that's wonderful

00:36:59.620 I said when you know when my daughter

00:37:01.900 Claudia she was only 12 was didn't want 1.00

00:37:03.940 to move to Washington and of the four

00:37:06.040 you know I say as a pollster if you get

00:37:07.640 75% agreement on something you're really

00:37:09.720 winning but as a mom you basically need 0.51

00:37:11.820 to get close to 100% agreement so I

00:37:13.460 needed all four kids on board and she

00:37:15.060 was really the holdout and I really

00:37:17.000 feel for her and she's great great

00:37:19.060 kid now almost a woman Claudia you

00:37:21.160 know somebody in the Washington Post

00:37:22.620 is doing a profile and they said well

00:37:24.200 we saw Claudia Conway's on there with 0.99

00:37:26.080 a change.org petition stop the

00:37:27.800 Conway kids from moving to DC what's

00:37:29.900 that about I said well at least she's

00:37:31.120 honest I said the rest of the rest of

00:37:32.920 this country often pretends I'm a

00:37:34.620 revolutionary I'm a change maker I'm

00:37:36.500 going to do this and they go to

00:37:37.260 McDonald's every night in order

00:37:38.200 number three in demand I said but you

00:37:40.600 know at least she admits that she she

00:37:42.520 at least she admits she wants things to

00:37:44.020 say the same and not move they said

00:37:45.860 well what do you say to her I said I

00:37:46.980 told she said mom I don't want to go

00:37:48.200 to DC and be known as Kelly and

00:37:49.460 Conway's daughter and I say guess what

00:37:50.780 you cure cancer and I'll be known as

00:37:53.860 Claudia Conway's mother you know and

00:37:56.060 that's very true and for Donald Trump

00:37:57.600 you know he raised great kids we're all

00:37:59.400 trying to raise great kids it's the

00:38:00.540 most it's the one most wonderful

00:38:02.100 contribution can make to society it is

00:38:04.220 I mean I and I know I mean that's the

00:38:07.180 one thing I knew the whole time was

00:38:09.420 that his kids loved him and at the end

00:38:14.720 I'm not sure my kids would have walked

00:38:17.660 through that wall of fire I mean they

00:38:20.760 they never abandoned him at least

00:38:24.640 publicly and I doubt that they agree on

00:38:27.840 everything but maybe that's just me and

00:38:30.140 I'm not asking for inside information we're

00:38:31.980 talking to Kelly and Conway she has a brand

00:38:35.780 new book that is out now we're going to

00:38:37.840 spend some more time with her here in

00:38:39.300 just a second if you want to pick up

00:38:41.180 the the book it's called here's the

00:38:43.740 deal by Kellyanne Conway it is out now
