The Glenn Beck Program - Best of the Program ｜ Guests： Steve Katz & Ami Horowitz ｜ 4⧸16⧸19

00:00:00.000 Welcome to the podcast. Oh my gosh, thank you. I appreciate you tuning in today. Well, I'm here. Well, not you. I've met the listeners. Oh, you're not glad that I am.

00:00:08.240 Notre Dame fire, we start there today and talk about debunking the... There's already kind of social media, like, photoshops of, like...

00:00:15.660 I think they have Osama bin Laden, like, coming in on a cable, like, he's in Mission Impossible. He crawled out of the sea. 0.75

00:00:21.200 Like, it does not seem to be that at this point, although the final, you know, there's no final, you know, answer on what caused the fire.

00:00:29.700 It does look like it was construction to do with this whole update they were doing there.

00:00:33.580 I have a different take on this that I think maybe you will enjoy. I think this is a blessing in disguise, and we can talk about that coming up in the podcast.

00:00:43.760 We also have the Joe Biden update that you did on TV last night, kind of walking you through part of that.

00:00:48.700 I will say, you know, some of it's a little difficult to listen to and try to understand all these moving parts,

00:00:54.640 because there's a lot of people involved in this with Joe Biden's actions in China,

00:00:59.740 as well as some organizations you might not be familiar with.

00:01:02.380 Easiest way to understand it is if you go to blazetv.com slash Glenn,

00:01:07.200 and you can watch it on the chalkboard from last night's TV show.

00:01:11.620 Now, you can sign up. You can use the promo code Glenn, save 10 bucks if you want to cancel during the free trial.

00:01:16.680 I mean, I think you're evil and probably a communist, but go ahead and do that if you want.

00:01:21.840 But you should watch this. You should know this information, because if Biden steps in, he's going to be the frontrunner. 0.50

00:01:26.560 There's been four polls that have come out in the last few days.

00:01:29.280 He's ahead in three of them, two of them by double digits over Bernie Sanders.

00:01:33.020 So he is entering this race as the frontrunner. We need to know everything we can about him.

00:01:36.720 Yeah. Also, we have Ami Horowitz on something that happened at UNC Duke that is really frightening.

00:01:44.640 Truly, truly frightening, especially of how overt it was.

00:01:48.240 Yeah. And no one is covering this anti-Semitism way beyond anything that I've seen in America

00:01:57.340 that is all sanctioned by two universities.

00:02:01.700 All that and more coming up on today's podcast.

00:02:05.160 Triad Mobile is a phone service that will give you all of the great coverage that you want.

00:02:29.160 They're just not going to take the money from you and then invest that in causes that you don't believe in,

00:02:38.220 like Planned Parenthood.

00:02:39.860 Patriot Mobile actually is going to let you invest your money into the causes that you believe in.

00:02:44.960 But most of these sales could sell companies.

00:02:47.240 They they give all kinds of money to crazy, crazy causes that you work hard against.

00:02:52.520 It's true. Why do you do that?

00:02:53.740 You can go with Patriot Mobile.

00:02:54.900 They were created to solve that problem.

00:02:56.720 They're the only conservative cell phone company in America.

00:02:59.620 Go to PatriotMobile.com slash blaze.

00:03:01.540 Get started today.

00:03:02.320 When you use the offer code blaze, they're going to waive the activation fee for up to two lines.

00:03:07.000 PatriotMobile.com slash blaze or 1-800-A-PATRIOT is the place to go.

00:03:11.500 Sitting in a basilica at 570 AD in the heart of Jerusalem lay a crown of thorns.

00:03:24.700 They had been there for a while.

00:03:26.840 Then the wars started, and the emperors started, coming from Constantinople, now Istanbul.

00:03:41.040 The crown of thorns and a relic of the true cross then went to Istanbul, where it stayed until 1238.

00:03:51.340 Things started to get a little dicey for the emperor Baldwin in Constantinople, and he had already mortgaged everything he had, including the crown of thorns.

00:04:05.640 That's when King Louis, in 1238, decided to see if he could buy the relics and bring them to Paris.

00:04:17.400 He was looking to unite people, and he thought the crown of thorns would be the thing that could help him do it.

00:04:26.520 He paid three times, three times what it cost to build the cathedral that it was kept in.

00:04:35.640 It was not originally kept in Notre Dame.

00:04:41.120 It was moved to Notre Dame after the relic barely escaped the French Revolution.

00:04:48.820 In the French Revolution, they were collectivists, socialists, anti-capitalists, anti-religionists, anti-God, and they desecrated Notre Dame.

00:05:02.540 They had sects on the altar and sacrifices.

00:05:07.560 They said it was a temple of reason, not a temple of God.

00:05:12.840 In the chapel where the true cross and the crown of thorns were kept, much of it was destroyed.

00:05:22.820 Somehow or another, those two relics escaped, and they lay safe until after the Revolution and 1806.

00:05:34.520 1806 is when Napoleon said,

00:05:37.460 We should move these to, temporarily, to Notre Dame for safekeeping.

00:05:44.060 Well, they were moved there, and they were never moved again until yesterday.

00:05:52.740 These are the crown jewels of France, and it was an extraordinarily brave priest that went into the flames to grab these relics.

00:06:05.500 Whether they are truly the true cross and the crown of thorns, we'll never really know.

00:06:16.380 They've been dated to the right era, to the right time.

00:06:21.460 But whether they are the true cross and the true crown of thorns, we don't know.

00:06:26.820 And there are only about 70 thorns, they say, 70 thorns left.

00:06:32.920 Because at the time, King Louis would give one of the thorns to people who had done something that he favored.

00:06:41.980 Now, it's preserved in a crystal case, a round crystal case that was made in the late 1800s.

00:06:51.680 And it is only out a couple of times.

00:06:56.080 One on Good Friday, which is coming up on this Friday.

00:07:01.220 And Easter, usually it is laying away from prying eyes.

00:07:07.440 I was struck yesterday by, I will never see Notre Dame.

00:07:17.120 And it is what I had said recently.

00:07:21.900 I had told my family and I had told you for different reasons that these churches and these cathedrals and these monuments will be lost in the coming years.

00:07:35.220 All I could think of was, we had planned a trip to Paris just this last summer.

00:07:44.620 And I canceled it because we were in the middle of doing business.

00:07:51.760 And I had told my family, we have got to get to Paris before it burns down to the ground.

00:07:58.380 And you won't see things like the cathedral anymore.

00:08:02.600 I said it multiple times.

00:08:08.260 Honestly, the second I saw Notre Dame on fire on television, the first thing I thought about was Glenn saying this.

00:08:15.580 Because I thought it was just, you know, it's one of those things that are just so random that Glenn just blurts out.

00:08:19.720 You're like, what are you even talking about?

00:08:21.200 Yeah.

00:08:21.880 And, but yeah, you said it, I mean, multiple times.

00:08:23.940 I remember, but I said it because of ISIS, ISIS, you were saying this is targeted.

00:08:29.060 Yeah.

00:08:29.140 I think this is actually a blessing and we can get into that in a minute.

00:08:31.840 Yeah.

00:08:31.960 Listen though, this, because I think there's a case.

00:08:34.040 Well, listen to this.

00:08:34.780 This is a Glenn in 2015.

00:08:37.520 We dug this one up for you here.

00:08:39.440 Listen, here's Glenn talking inexplicably about Notre Dame being destroyed.

00:08:43.440 Because of what is happening, I believe London, France, Germany, Greece, I believe these things could be destroyed in what is coming.

00:08:54.340 And especially because, remember who you're fighting against, you're fighting against Islamic extremists. 0.88

00:09:00.940 The places that they will target will be places like the Cathedral of Notre Dame.

00:09:05.400 You could go back to Germany, to France in 15 years from now, and it might be free. 0.76

00:09:12.140 It might not be.

00:09:13.240 It might be free.

00:09:15.080 But the Cathedral of Notre Dame may be gone.

00:09:18.460 Now that's, that's 2015.

00:09:21.120 Here he is on another show.

00:09:22.320 This is on TV in 2015 as well.

00:09:25.240 So when I was talking to Tim Ferriss, he said, so what do you see coming?

00:09:28.300 And I said, Paris is in trouble.

00:09:31.760 Paris is in trouble.

00:09:32.620 And I said, they're going to get the Cathedral of Notre Dame.

00:09:36.560 And I said, it's just a gut feeling.

00:09:38.620 So now this comes out with a weekend that they are doing Paris as their first stop.

00:09:44.460 And they're saying it's the Eiffel Tower.

00:09:46.460 It's not.

00:09:47.740 That was one minor distinction.

00:09:48.920 It wasn't ISIS.

00:09:49.620 It was construction workers.

00:09:50.840 Okay, but wait a minute.

00:09:51.620 Hang on just a second.

00:09:52.360 That was 2015.

00:09:53.840 In 2016, in 2016, ISIS targeted Notre Dame.

00:09:59.540 And 2017, they tried to blow it up with a car bomb.

00:10:03.420 I was going to say, like, this is, the fact that Notre Dame caught on fire yesterday was

00:10:07.240 not what proved you right.

00:10:08.340 It was these two, I mean, multiple attacks and attempts to get rid of Notre Dame by ISIS.

00:10:14.340 Yes.

00:10:14.560 Like, this has already happened.

00:10:16.100 Yes.

00:10:16.320 And that's why I say, I think this is a blessing.

00:10:20.480 And we'll get into the conspiracy theories and everything else and debunk all of that.

00:10:24.640 And I want to say that again, debunk all of that.

00:10:27.640 We should be clear, though.

00:10:28.240 They're not saying for sure what happened.

00:10:30.720 No, but it looks to be.

00:10:31.720 It looks strongly to be.

00:10:34.180 Related to their renovations.

00:10:36.120 Correct.

00:10:36.340 But we do not know that yet.

00:10:37.700 Correct.

00:10:37.920 That is not confirmed.

00:10:39.100 Correct.

00:10:39.320 And we'll talk about all of that.

00:10:40.760 But let me just say this.

00:10:42.580 I think if it was construction, this is actually a blessing.

00:10:48.580 Imagine if we knew today that ISIS had gone in and started a fire in Notre Dame and had 0.86

00:10:56.760 burned that thing just as badly as it is, had burned Notre Dame down.

00:11:02.560 Think about what people are saying in France now.

00:11:06.060 This, it's their White House, if you will.

00:11:08.480 I can't think of a more precious building in America than this.

00:11:13.520 And you mentioned the Crown of Thorns.

00:11:14.620 There was a piece of the Crown of Thorns in the spire to protect the building.

00:11:20.080 Wow.

00:11:20.500 And that's obviously lost.

00:11:22.160 If you watch the video, the spire collapses.

00:11:23.960 There's no way that they're going to be able to get that.

00:11:25.520 I mean, I can't imagine, unless it was protected in some strength, you know, in a way to defend

00:11:30.640 against just this.

00:11:31.440 Maybe they thought of that.

00:11:33.000 But yeah, I mean, like, that's how serious it is.

00:11:35.620 I mean, this is foundational.

00:11:37.260 This is, this is, this is like blowing up or burning down Buckingham Palace.

00:11:41.820 This is the symbol of France and longer than the Eiffel Tower.

00:11:48.180 Bringing down the Eiffel Tower is bad.

00:11:51.220 Notre Dame is what is left of the spiritual side of France.

00:11:56.740 And because it is so ingrained in French history, it has become almost spiritual, even for those

00:12:06.200 who don't believe in God.

00:12:07.520 It is a sacred place, even for those who don't understand the sacred the way a religious person

00:12:14.680 might.

00:12:15.040 So it is actually, in a way, it could help defuse things.

00:12:22.960 By taking this and removing this as a target is actually probably a very good thing, long run.

00:12:30.520 That's a different way of looking at that.

00:12:32.280 But I mean, just imagine what today would be like if we found out last night, if they had blown that up.

00:12:39.120 And there are a million conspiracies going around, but be clear that if it was ISIS and it was 0.54

00:12:43.020 confirmed, there'd be a million conspiracy theorists saying they were only blaming Muslims

00:12:47.880 because, you know, they wanted to inflame tensions and create war.

00:12:54.280 So like, and there's no side is, is, is innocent on this one.

00:12:58.600 Yeah.

00:12:59.040 Um, that's why we want to be very, very clear that it looks like it is not anything to do with extremism of any kind.

00:13:07.460 So remember the extremism was going in on all directions in France that just this last weekend,

00:13:13.740 they told the police, I love this, that you can actually load your guns now.

00:13:19.040 Uh, and you can shoot a yellow vest, uh, protester if you feel you need to.

00:13:25.240 Do they know that guns become dangerous when you load them?

00:13:27.380 I don't.

00:13:28.220 I, it's France.

00:13:29.120 Probably not.

00:13:30.040 They don't.

00:13:30.560 They're still trying to fit.

00:13:31.460 What is this bullet?

00:13:32.980 I don't understand.

00:13:34.040 Here comes Adolf.

00:13:34.700 We can load our guns now.

00:13:39.660 The best of the Glenn Beck program.

00:13:41.480 Hi, it's Glenn.

00:13:49.180 If you're a subscriber to the podcast, can you do us a favor and rate us on iTunes?

00:13:54.020 If you're not a subscriber, become one today and listen on your own time.

00:13:58.100 You can subscribe on iTunes.

00:13:59.680 Thanks.

00:14:00.240 Last Thursday on television, I did part one, a major chalkboard explaining how Joe Biden's son,

00:14:07.480 Hunter, that came to be on the board of Ukraine's largest private natural gas company, even though

00:14:13.920 he has absolutely no natural gas experience.

00:14:18.940 And even though the company, the natural gas company in Ukraine was run by a notoriously

00:14:26.060 corrupt oligarch and $1.5 billion of us money just simply disappeared through his fingers.

00:14:34.540 As bad as things look in the Ukraine, it's the tip of the iceberg compared to what Joe 0.98

00:14:42.580 Biden and John Kerry set up for their sons while they were vice president and secretary

00:14:49.860 of state.

00:14:51.920 I'm going to lay out quickly here the business deals in China, and it wasn't just massive money

00:14:59.460 changing hands.

00:15:00.340 This is profiting from companies that are actively trying to steal from and gain a competitive

00:15:06.080 advantage over the U.S.

00:15:07.600 This is a challenge to our national security.

00:15:12.120 If anyone thinks that Joe Biden should be the candidate, I warn you, he is not on our side.

00:15:20.920 In 2010, well, let me start here.

00:15:23.640 2008, the election happened.

00:15:25.840 2009, Joe Biden was made the vice president.

00:15:29.100 Just a few months later, his son, Hunter, decided to start up a new business with Chris Hines.

00:15:40.340 That's John Kerry's stepson.

00:15:42.680 So now the vice president and the soon-to-be secretary of state are in business together,

00:15:47.320 and they're doing an investment fund.

00:15:49.760 Neither of them have any international investment background.

00:15:53.540 So they bring in John Kerry's former finance manager for his campaign, who happened to be

00:16:02.460 a roommate of theirs in college.

00:16:04.340 They come together and they form something called Rosemont Seneca Partners.

00:16:10.460 This is international investments.

00:16:13.440 So they do that in 2009.

00:16:16.800 And then just a few months later, in 2010, Joe Biden is meeting with President Hu from China

00:16:24.100 in Washington as part of a national security summit.

00:16:28.180 What?

00:16:29.200 Who?

00:16:30.620 You really have to?

00:16:31.500 You want to go?

00:16:31.980 I just want to.

00:16:32.620 You just said.

00:16:33.400 President Hu.

00:16:34.060 Who?

00:16:34.420 Joe, while Joe Biden was in this meeting, Hunter Biden was in China with his two Rosemont

00:16:43.220 Seneca partners, John Kerry's stepson and the former campaign finance manager, Devon Archer.

00:16:50.160 The trio had meetings.

00:16:52.860 At the same time, Daddy is meeting with the head of China.

00:16:55.740 The Suns are meeting now with the executives from China's largest banks, also China's sovereign

00:17:04.700 wealth fund and their social security funds.

00:17:08.240 A year later, Joe Biden meets with Chinese officials for the U.S. in the strategic of the

00:17:13.860 China's strategic economic dialogue in Washington.

00:17:16.780 Two weeks later, Hunter Biden and his partners meet in Taiwan with the same Chinese financial

00:17:22.480 guys that they met in China in 2010, plus some new ones.

00:17:28.360 In the book, Secret Empires, investigative author Peter Schweitzer says this to give you

00:17:35.500 an idea of how important these meetings were.

00:17:42.080 Peter writes, it's as if the son of the Chinese premier held a single meeting with the heads

00:17:48.460 of Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, J.P. Morgan, Merrill Lynch, and Blackstone.

00:17:54.840 Except in this case, these were government entities with trillions of dollars of capital to invest.

00:18:02.980 In December 2013, Joe Biden traveled to China on an extended official trip with him.

00:18:08.300 He took on Air Force Two Hunter Biden and his daughter.

00:18:12.540 They were greeted by a red carpet delegation and children bearing flowers, and vice president

00:18:18.700 met with President Xi for over five hours, and they talked about everything.

00:18:23.600 Now, what was Hunter doing?

00:18:25.800 Well, Hunter was there for business as well.

00:18:29.520 We don't know exactly who he met with or what was discussed, but we do know that just two

00:18:36.240 weeks later, a deal was signed with Rosemont Seneca and the Bank of China.

00:18:43.320 Now, 10 days after his trip, he does a closes on a deal with the Bank of China.

00:18:50.460 This is the most powerful financial institution in China, and they form a joint venture with this

00:19:00.500 startup company that has no one?

00:19:03.180 How's that possible?

00:19:04.520 Well, Rosemont Seneca and the Bank of China merge and create a giant investment fund called

00:19:13.080 BHR, Bohai Harvest Rosemont.

00:19:17.140 Now, think about this.

00:19:18.120 The government-owned Bank of China funding a business that it co-owned with the son of the

00:19:25.540 U.S. Vice President and the son of the U.S. Secretary of State.

00:19:29.160 So, this is Chinese government funding and all of the Chinese government banking officials

00:19:38.280 starting a new business in China with the son of the Vice President and the Secretary of

00:19:45.720 State.

00:19:46.220 That's quite amazing.

00:19:47.900 And since the bank is government-owned, it meant that business was completely intertwined

00:19:55.620 with the communist government's goals.

00:19:57.420 Now, think of all of the foreign firms that are trying to do business with China, that

00:20:12.680 have established records.

00:20:14.680 How did Rosemont Seneca score this sweetheart deal?

00:20:19.160 And this is a sweetheart deal.

00:20:20.800 It got to operate in a brand new Shanghai free trade zone where it could use $1.5 billion of

00:20:29.380 Chinese government money to invest in China or any place in the world, any place they decided

00:20:35.160 that it would be good.

00:20:36.060 And they brought those dollars home to the U.S., which was really great.

00:20:41.520 First, however, they invested in something else.

00:20:46.360 Now, remember, this is something that no other country...

00:20:49.000 Goldman Sachs doesn't have this relationship.

00:20:52.280 How did this investment house, with two guys that don't have any real experience in this,

00:20:58.760 a brand new firm with very few, if any, clients at the time, get a deal that Goldman Sachs

00:21:05.640 and JPMorgan Chase can't get?

00:21:10.060 Well, they made a couple of investments in technology.

00:21:15.660 In 2014, BHR, that's the Hunter Biden organization with the Bank of China, invested in the China

00:21:24.360 General Nuclear Power Corporation.

00:21:27.280 Now, this is wonderful.

00:21:28.820 CGN is a Chinese government-owned nuclear power company that sold off a stake of the company

00:21:36.040 to outside investors.

00:21:37.700 Now, here's the problem.

00:21:39.600 At the same time that Hunter Biden and his group with China is buying this,

00:21:48.000 CGN was under FBI investigation for stealing U.S. nuclear secrets.

00:21:52.820 For years, CGN actively paid informants in the U.S. to smuggle nuclear secrets out.

00:21:59.980 And the FBI probe, by the way, resulted in several Americans getting arrested.

00:22:05.480 Yet, while the FBI probe was going on, the son of the vice president and the son of the

00:22:13.040 Secretary of State, which was in business with the Bank of China, bought a stake in this company

00:22:22.580 being investigated.

00:22:24.380 Even after the arrests were made, Rosemont Seneca did not alter its relationship with BHR.

00:22:30.600 Neither did BHR divest from the Chinese government-owned company that was stealing our nuclear secrets.

00:22:39.100 Now, how is that possible?

00:22:40.760 How did that not even get into the news?

00:22:46.160 Here's the other one.

00:22:48.740 In 2015, BHR partnered with the Aviation Industry Corporation of China.

00:22:56.440 Now, what is that?

00:22:58.640 The Aviation Industry Corporation of China is basically their Hewlett-Packard.

00:23:04.620 Or, I'm sorry, they're not Hewlett-Packard.

00:23:07.500 They're Lockheed Martin.

00:23:10.620 It is their big aerospace company.

00:23:16.080 They build all of the fighters, all of the drones, absolutely everything.

00:23:20.240 So, here's Hunter Biden and Christopher Hines in a business deal with the Bank of China, buying

00:23:29.980 into AVIC, the big military contractor.

00:23:35.020 And they decide that they need to invest in some new technology.

00:23:39.660 And so, they bring some of that money home.

00:23:42.620 BHR bought 49% of a company here in America called Henergies.

00:23:47.580 And AVIC bought 51%.

00:23:50.940 So, now they own 100% of this great company here in America.

00:23:56.600 What do they do?

00:23:59.640 Well, this company makes precision parts.

00:24:02.360 And they specialize in anti-vibration technology.

00:24:05.880 And the technology that they build and the parts that they make are known as dual use by

00:24:12.740 the U.S. State Department.

00:24:14.340 Which means you can also use this on bombers, stealth bombers, and any kind of machine for war.

00:24:23.140 Now, usually that has to be approved by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the U.S.

00:24:30.900 And it was approved.

00:24:32.600 Quickly, no big deal.

00:24:34.220 But why not?

00:24:35.380 I mean, the Secretary of State's son and the Vice President's son are the ones doing the buying.

00:24:42.100 According to Schweitzer, a U.S. intelligence community has long recognized that the Chinese

00:24:47.600 government is committed to acquiring Western machine tool technology, especially the kind of

00:24:53.000 tech, where it is difficult to distinguish between civilian and military use of the equipment.

00:24:58.560 Also, it wasn't like BHR didn't know what it was getting into when it said, oh, you know

00:25:04.300 what?

00:25:04.840 We just did the nuclear deal.

00:25:07.320 And that didn't turn out well.

00:25:08.820 Of course, we still have that.

00:25:11.020 But yeah, they were spying against our country.

00:25:14.300 We don't want to do another deal like that.

00:25:16.000 A year before Hunter Biden and Christopher Hines decided to form a partnership with AVIC, the

00:25:27.480 Wall Street Journal reported how this war plant stole technology related to the U.S.

00:25:38.240 Air Force's F-35 stealth fighter.

00:25:41.460 They stole that information and then they used it, manufactured the product and put it in to the

00:25:49.060 stealth fighter for the Chinese.

00:25:52.040 That's the company that the Vice President's son invests in.

00:25:58.520 And then helps buy a critical machining operation here in America.

00:26:05.000 So if you're keeping score, the company owned by Hunter Biden and John Kerry's stepson and

00:26:09.500 their friend became the Chinese conduit to buy U.S. technology.

00:26:14.560 Their company was also used to invest in Chinese nuclear power, helping support the company that

00:26:19.340 had worked for years to steal U.S. nuclear secrets.

00:26:23.580 Meanwhile, as all of these deals and investments progressed, Vice President Joe Biden and Secretary

00:26:29.780 of State Joe Kerry were having ongoing sensitive talks with the Chinese government about multiple

00:26:35.500 issues, including China's effort in 2014 to control the South China Sea.

00:26:43.700 You tell me if Joe Biden, if he loves his country more than self.

00:26:50.520 Is he putting himself or his family over the safety and security of our nation?

00:27:04.520 In some cultures, this would not go well for somebody who is doing this to their own country.

00:27:12.740 It is incredible to me that none of this has even been on the news.

00:27:20.520 If Joe Biden runs and this is not uncovered by the mainstream media, you will know he's not

00:27:32.500 alone.

00:27:34.100 If it's not covered by places like Fox, you will know, wow, the Democrats are not the only

00:27:42.400 ones doing this.

00:27:46.360 This is the best of the Glenn Beck program.

00:27:50.520 Steve Katz is with us.

00:28:01.400 He is the producer of Unplanned.

00:28:06.600 He was an attorney for a long, long time until he moved to California, went out to the entertainment

00:28:12.260 industry, and now is the executive producer of the movie Unplanned.

00:28:16.280 And welcome to the program, Steve.

00:28:18.160 How are you?

00:28:19.200 Thank you, Glenn.

00:28:19.960 I'm great.

00:28:20.460 How are you?

00:28:20.960 Very, very good.

00:28:22.360 Congratulations on Unplanned.

00:28:24.220 Well, I appreciate it.

00:28:25.300 It's been a labor of love, and it's been pushing a boulder up a hill, as they say in Hollywood, which is what it takes to get any movie made.

00:28:31.620 But this one particularly, so I think we had to push a boulder up a hill wearing swimsuits in the snow, frankly, to get this movie made.

00:28:38.200 But it has been kind of wildly successful and has exceeded our expectations.

00:28:43.340 And more than anything, it's been really successful in changing people's minds and at least opening them to the possibility of looking at some critical issues in a new way.

00:28:51.320 So I will tell you, Steve, I didn't want to see this movie because I thought it would be, you know, the same crappy fare of a Christian movie that was preachy and everybody who was not on the right side was evil. 0.58

00:29:04.360 And you guys did such a great job of making this not that kind of movie, where I think it does reach a wide audience.

00:29:15.440 I just talked to somebody last night who came up almost in tears and said, I have to thank you.

00:29:20.380 I brought my family to see Unplanned, and I would never have gone.

00:29:27.500 And I took the kids and, you know, they're teenagers, and they said, our conversations about this are completely different now.

00:29:36.420 Well, that's right.

00:29:37.420 And I think, you know, so much of the credit goes to Abby Johnson because her amazing true story, which is the foundation for this film, is just incredible because she's someone who actually lived this story.

00:29:47.500 She began as an ardent feminist. 1.00

00:29:49.840 She was very pro-choice.

00:29:52.240 And over time, she evolved and she sort of saw what was happening.

00:29:56.000 And, of course, the filmmakers, Cary Solomon and Chuck Consulman, are just incredible writers and directors.

00:30:01.880 And, you know, you mentioned earlier that so many of the films in the faith-based space tend to be not all that great.

00:30:07.120 And, you know, I've been involved in productions on both sides.

00:30:09.520 But what you find in the faith-based space especially is you'll get, you know, people who believe, you know, have the beliefs, but they don't really write well.

00:30:17.980 And on the other hand, you'll get people in Hollywood who see an opportunity, you know, just to make money.

00:30:22.340 And they might be good writers, but they don't have the beliefs.

00:30:25.620 And with Cary and Chuck, you sort of get both.

00:30:28.240 So, Steve, I want to talk to you a little bit about, you know, if a tree falls in the forest and no one's there to see it, did it really fall?

00:30:35.560 Well, we have a situation to where, and it was really apparent with Unplanned, you could not have advertising on entire networks, Lifetime, UpTV, Hallmark, HGTV, USA Food Network, Travel Channel, DYI, Cooking Channel.

00:30:59.260 You were not welcome anywhere.

00:31:01.640 So let me just talk about that first.

00:31:04.340 And K-Love, a Christian rock station, no less.

00:31:07.740 How?

00:31:09.800 You know, Glenn, I think that people, frankly, are just afraid of this topic.

00:31:14.700 And they're afraid of being, they're afraid of being tarnished, and they just don't want to touch it.

00:31:21.980 Frankly, we don't buy that argument because Hollywood embraces those sort of ads for, you know, pro-abortion movies all the time.

00:31:30.080 And as we understand it, Sandra Bullock now has a property that she's going to be doing where she's going to play Wendy Davis, the, you know, Texas state legislator who ran for governor. 0.87

00:31:39.860 Does anyone really think that Google or, you know, Twitter will not be running ads for her film?

00:31:45.980 No, no.

00:31:46.200 It's astonishing.

00:31:47.380 Then what happened with Twitter on the opening weekend?

00:31:50.980 Yeah, so what happened with Twitter was we had had the account up for seven months, and we had had up to, I think, about 100,000 followers or so.

00:31:58.620 On opening weekend, the account was taken down on Saturday morning.

00:32:02.220 No explanation given.

00:32:03.420 All of a sudden, the account's not there.

00:32:05.180 So what happened was our lead actress couldn't even follow her own movie on Twitter, and it caused an uproar.

00:32:10.820 And to their credit, a lot of people, I think Shannon, Brady McFox, and others started, you know, tweeting Jack Dorsey saying, hey, what's going on?

00:32:17.460 So they ultimately restored it a number of hours later, and, you know, the excuse that they gave us just doesn't hold water.

00:32:24.820 What they said was that they thought the account may have been linked to someone who was a bad actor and had a different account taken down, and so I have an abundance of caution.

00:32:35.440 You know, they took down our account.

00:32:37.320 But that really sort of smells because the account had been up for seven months, and it's just not a coincidence that they take it down on opening weekend.

00:32:45.120 So you had to go to Congress, did you not, and testify?

00:32:48.240 Well, yes.

00:32:49.120 Our co-director, Chuck Cosman, went to Congress.

00:32:52.060 He spoke before a Senate hearing with Senator Cruz, and the topic was big tech censorship of conservative ideas.

00:32:59.200 And by the way, it's not just Twitter.

00:33:00.860 We try to run banner ads on Google, and Google advertises, you know, the banner ads as a service that's open to anyone for any viewpoint, any legitimate viewpoint.

00:33:09.440 And they simply refused to accept our banner ads.

00:33:12.840 And to make the situation worse, and this is really kind of incredible, the day after Chuck testified, Google, when you did a Google search on the film, Unplanned, it brought up the poster, and next to it, it described the film as drama slash propaganda.

00:33:27.860 I kid you not.

00:33:28.740 Oh, my gosh.

00:33:30.040 This is the day after he testified before the Senate.

00:33:32.600 And, you know, we immediately then, you know, started checking to see what they were doing with other films.

00:33:38.320 And if you can believe it, the classic Nazi propaganda film, Triumph of the Will by Lenny Reifenstahl, they didn't mark that as propaganda.

00:33:47.220 They did not.

00:33:48.260 It was not marked as propaganda.

00:33:50.300 That's the quintessential propaganda film.

00:33:53.380 It's a Nazi propaganda film, right?

00:33:55.160 How did they do Inconvenient Truth with Al Gore?

00:33:58.380 Was that propaganda?

00:33:59.960 Oh, you mean the snow hasn't all melted on Mount Vernon?

00:34:03.640 No, it hasn't.

00:34:04.720 No.

00:34:05.360 I guess it's still there.

00:34:06.220 Yeah.

00:34:06.700 You know, but any of the Michael Moore movies, any of the Che Guevara movies were not listed as propaganda.

00:34:12.880 So once again, you know, we raised an outcry and they rectified it.

00:34:16.600 But the question is, why should we have to do that to begin with?

00:34:19.200 Why can't they just be a neutral arbiter?

00:34:20.620 So, Steve, you know, as we try to break through barriers, the barriers just keep changing and they just put a new one in front of us.

00:34:32.160 I mean, you know, first you have to make the movie yourself.

00:34:35.840 So we do.

00:34:37.080 Then you have to get it into movie theaters.

00:34:39.640 And we do.

00:34:41.380 Then you have to advertise.

00:34:43.160 Well, we're losing advertising.

00:34:45.640 We're losing.

00:34:46.320 We're losing the battle on online.

00:34:49.980 And we're we're being subjected to what I would call digital ghettoization.

00:34:56.640 It's the same thing the Germans did to the Jews. 0.86

00:34:59.320 Hey, talk all you want just behind this wall.

00:35:01.720 So nobody will see you or hear you.

00:35:03.460 Uh, that's a problem.

00:35:05.980 Yeah, it is a problem.

00:35:07.240 And it's just so rife with hypocrisy, because when you think about how even to this day, so many voices on the left continue to lament the blacklisting of the 1940s.

00:35:16.740 And they lionize people like, you know, Dalton Trumbo and Paul Robeson, who were denied a platform and denied the opportunity to work because of their opinions.

00:35:26.360 And so many of these same people on the left are doing the exact employing the exact same tactics today.

00:35:31.400 And it's like, why, why are you afraid to engage in these battle of ideas?

00:35:35.800 So what do you what do you think we do?

00:35:38.800 What should we do?

00:35:39.540 Have you heard any good solutions?

00:35:41.240 How do we fix this?

00:35:43.260 Because we're really only playing to our own tribe.

00:35:45.620 If we can't, if you're only hearing about it on Fox News, CBN, the Glenn Beck program, you're you're playing, you're preaching to the choir.

00:35:55.040 Well, you know, it is an uphill battle, but I think we have to kind of remain steadfast.

00:36:00.100 And I think, you know, look, victory is for the bold.

00:36:03.800 So you have to fight.

00:36:04.900 And the good news is in this day and age with the technology, it's never been easier for somebody to create a message and get it out there.

00:36:13.400 Now, the flip side of that is because it's never been easier, there's a proliferation of stories and film.

00:36:19.800 So it takes more to rise above and get noticed.

00:36:23.240 And that's where you do need the marketing.

00:36:24.680 But, you know, you can I will say this Facebook actually has been very even handed and fair with us.

00:36:30.600 And shut up, really?

00:36:32.300 Yeah, the page has been up for, you know, for months and we've had 17 million trailer views.

00:36:37.040 And I've had some friends say to me when I told them that the film was on on Facebook, they were like, oh, my God, how did you manage to keep that up?

00:36:44.280 So, you know, look, I don't know if we slip through the cracks, but, you know, when Ted Cruz has these hearings, when we continue to put pressure on, I think that's what we have to do.

00:36:54.040 And, again, I just think that we have to we have to not be afraid to push for what we want and make sure, you know, stories are told on both sides.

00:37:02.820 What are you going to do with the film now?

00:37:03.720 Well, it's out in theaters.

00:37:06.720 You know, we have an A-plus cinema score, which only a couple films receive every year.

00:37:10.780 That means people actually saw the movie, loved it.

00:37:13.760 And that people that I think span the ideological divide.

00:37:18.600 Hang on, hang on just a second on that.

00:37:20.500 Let me ask you this.

00:37:21.180 Did you at any time worry that this thing would be either a dirge or it would be one of those things where people would think, oh, geez, I should go see that movie, but I just don't want to go sit through an abortion movie. 0.91

00:37:35.580 I mean, you hit the right balance to where you actually feel good leaving the audience or leaving theater.

00:37:42.740 You know, it's an interesting question.

00:37:44.140 I don't know whether we considered that possibility.

00:37:46.620 I think the filmmakers just made the movie that they thought needed to be made.

00:37:51.180 And they trusted that, you know, if they did it right, people would come, and they have.

00:37:56.680 So, you know, we opened in fourth place, defying all expectations, opening weekend.

00:38:01.380 We were in seventh place last weekend.

00:38:03.400 And now in our third weekend, we were in tenth place, yes, on Sunday.

00:38:08.180 And, you know, we're competing with big studio tentpoles like Shazam and Captain Marvel and Dumbo.

00:38:14.600 So, you know, the next step is going to be DVD and streaming.

00:38:17.980 And we've had a lot of people approach us because they want to get those right.

00:38:22.160 So we're in the midst of discussing those deals now.

00:38:24.240 So hopefully, you know, in the next three to four months, we'll be out there on DVD and more people will have access.

00:38:29.580 Any idea of Netflix, Amazon?

00:38:32.380 Well, you know, we don't know.

00:38:33.620 We hope so.

00:38:35.000 I can't imagine why not.

00:38:36.500 We hope so.

00:38:37.460 You know, if they really represent all of America, you would think that they would want to have this movie on and they would want to show both sides.

00:38:44.740 So we're optimistic.

00:38:46.540 But, you know, if we get Stonewall, then I guess we'll pursue it ourselves. 0.99

00:38:50.100 If you get Stonewall, let me know, will you? 1.00

00:38:52.640 I absolutely will.

00:38:53.900 And, you know, the filmmakers are very grateful for your support.

00:38:57.040 And you've been a real stalwart.

00:38:58.700 So thank you.

00:38:59.280 No, not a problem.

00:39:00.060 Thank you very much, Steve.

00:39:01.000 Appreciate it.

00:39:01.560 So let me ask you, Stu, did you watch Game of Thrones last night?

00:39:21.160 I did.

00:39:21.520 I did my duty.

00:39:22.260 You did your duty.

00:39:23.040 First episode or moment I've ever watched of Game of Thrones last night.

00:39:26.580 What did you think?

00:39:27.660 I was very confused.

00:39:29.140 You're very confused.

00:39:29.680 Yes, I have some notes.

00:39:30.700 Okay, so here's Stu's review of Game of Thrones.

00:39:35.460 We have some good, oh, there we go.

00:39:36.640 Good Game of Thrones music.

00:39:37.500 Okay, first of all.

00:39:38.760 This is nothing like good Game of Thrones music.

00:39:40.800 No, this is about the level of my review here.

00:39:43.140 Okay, good, good, good, good.

00:39:44.680 The theme animation's really long.

00:39:47.040 Really long, yes it is.

00:39:47.820 I believe it's still going from the episode I was watching.

00:39:50.120 Yes, yes, okay.

00:39:50.340 Not important to the storyline.

00:39:51.680 Okay, so I kind of came up with a cast of characters.

00:39:53.720 All right, good.

00:39:54.300 There's Blondie in white.

00:39:56.080 You've got Ugly or Black Hair Woman. 1.00

00:39:58.420 You've got Guy with Goatee. 0.92

00:40:00.700 You've got Guy with Beard.

00:40:02.420 You've got Angry Elf.

00:40:04.160 Red Hair Woman and the boy band looking teen.

00:40:07.220 Okay.

00:40:07.700 Now, if I'm following it right.

00:40:08.820 I'm not sure.

00:40:09.680 The boy band looking teen is the son of the goatee guy, maybe?

00:40:13.920 Not sure about that.

00:40:15.360 I think I'm pretty sure that Winterfell is a place.

00:40:18.600 Yes.

00:40:19.160 Okay.

00:40:19.420 The goatee guy may have been the king of Winterfell?

00:40:23.560 No.

00:40:24.060 Okay.

00:40:25.240 Well...

00:40:25.720 But he's not anymore.

00:40:26.820 He was, but then was not anymore.

00:40:29.740 Potentially.

00:40:30.300 Well, yes, yes.

00:40:30.940 Okay.

00:40:32.080 The North...

00:40:32.940 Can you stop this music?

00:40:34.140 This music is worse than your review.

00:40:37.820 This is rocking.

00:40:39.060 The North might be the same as Winterfell.

00:40:42.480 The same place, maybe?

00:40:43.700 The same area.

00:40:44.500 Yeah, Winterfell is in the North.

00:40:46.660 Okay.

00:40:47.160 And by the way, spoiler alerts here, just in case we get into anything.

00:40:50.380 So far, you...

00:40:51.720 So far, I haven't really understood much.

00:40:53.460 Okay.

00:40:53.760 So...

00:40:54.240 So, my understanding now is that Angry Elf, Goatee, Blondie, and Redhead are all on the

00:40:59.480 same team?

00:41:00.620 Yes.

00:41:01.040 Okay.

00:41:02.540 Blondie seems to be like a Siegfried and Roy of Dragons.

00:41:06.800 Yes.

00:41:07.260 Okay.

00:41:07.720 All right.

00:41:08.220 I'm good at this.

00:41:09.060 Got it.

00:41:09.680 Angry Elf may have been married to Redhead? 1.00

00:41:13.420 Yes.

00:41:13.920 Okay.

00:41:15.180 People seem a lot more attractive than I would expect from their difficult circumstances.

00:41:19.320 Yes.

00:41:19.800 Okay.

00:41:20.160 Yes.

00:41:20.620 All right. 0.96

00:41:21.960 Goatee and ugly peasant girl hug and they like the same sword? 1.00

00:41:26.900 That happened at one point? 0.97

00:41:28.600 Yes, it's...

00:41:29.300 Yes.

00:41:29.780 Okay.

00:41:30.480 You've missed...

00:41:31.500 You've missed some of the nuance of that relationship.

00:41:35.580 Okay. 0.98

00:41:36.460 Goatee guy and ugly girl like the same sword. 0.98

00:41:40.060 I guess, yes. 0.98

00:41:41.200 Okay.

00:41:41.440 So, there's another queen. 0.81

00:41:42.520 She looks kind of like a female Mick Jagger. 1.00

00:41:45.520 Maybe combined with Robin Wright.

00:41:48.020 Do you know who I'm talking about?

00:41:49.580 Okay.

00:41:50.140 Maybe not.

00:41:50.680 All right.

00:41:50.820 Okay.

00:41:51.680 Great line. 1.00

00:41:53.820 If you want a whore, buy one. 1.00

00:41:55.960 If you want a queen, earn one. 1.00

00:41:57.200 That's a great freaking line. 0.97

00:41:58.240 Yeah. 0.98

00:41:58.420 That's a great line.

00:41:58.880 Is that the Mick Jagger looking?

00:42:00.000 That's a Mick Jagger lady. 1.00

00:42:00.680 Yeah.

00:42:00.940 Okay.

00:42:01.140 Yes.

00:42:01.380 Okay.

00:42:01.640 So, I'm right on that.

00:42:03.440 A guy is interrupted when having sex with three women and he seems to be only moderately

00:42:07.560 upset about it, which I feel like you'd be a little more...

00:42:12.860 I zip past those, so I don't know.

00:42:14.280 Okay.

00:42:14.460 Okay.

00:42:14.700 That happened.

00:42:15.980 Let's see.

00:42:17.320 Really impressive teeth for the era.

00:42:19.120 I thought was something.

00:42:22.140 Some guy in a wheelchair and the boy band guy looked back at each other at the end, and

00:42:26.860 that seemed important.

00:42:28.420 I don't know about that.

00:42:29.860 I now know the boy band.

00:42:32.140 And then finally, at one point I did fall asleep and I just woke up to someone being lit

00:42:37.340 on fire while alive.

00:42:38.580 Okay.

00:42:39.160 Screaming.

00:42:39.960 Well, I look for...

00:42:41.640 If you missed Game of Thrones, why even watch it?

00:42:44.780 I mean...

00:42:45.180 You got the whole thing right there.

00:42:46.380 You got the whole thing.

00:42:47.480 And oh, really?

00:42:48.700 You nailed it, Stu.

00:42:50.180 You nailed it.

00:42:56.720 You're listening to the best of the Glenn Beck Program.

00:43:01.760 You know what's amazing to me is the University of North Carolina, Duke, UNC, is the place that

00:43:12.420 was on fire because it was racist.

00:43:17.000 Except it wasn't.

00:43:19.360 But the press covered it like crazy without any facts.

00:43:23.760 Once the facts came out, oh, uh, next.

00:43:27.560 Now, Duke, University of North Carolina, is having another problem, except this time, no one's

00:43:36.100 paying attention to it, except Ami Horowitz, a friend of the, uh, uh, the, uh, program and

00:43:42.080 documentary filmmaker.

00:43:43.400 Ami, welcome to the program.

00:43:45.960 Always a pleasure, Glenn.

00:43:46.940 So, uh, what is happening at Duke?

00:43:51.060 Look, uh, let me, let me back up, kind of explain kind of genesis of what happened.

00:43:57.580 I was, uh, sitting on Bondi Beach in Australia, and I was just scrolling through, uh, through

00:44:03.380 the internet, and I saw this conference, joint conference between Duke and UNC, ostensibly

00:44:08.700 about, uh, the conflict in Gaza.

00:44:10.920 So immediately I knew, okay, this is clearly going to be an Israel hate fest. 0.71

00:44:14.700 So I went there to kind of cover it, to see kind of how anti-Israel it was, was it going

00:44:19.220 to be balanced at all?

00:44:20.520 What I didn't expect to find was absolute and egregious open anti-Semitism throughout

00:44:27.700 this conference, right?

00:44:29.640 And I can't understate how big this conference was.

00:44:34.060 It's a joint conference between Duke and UNC, two of the most prestigious schools in the

00:44:38.840 country.

00:44:39.160 Every major department and school sponsored, the school of law, the school of medicine,

00:44:46.420 the school of pharmacy, the department, every single department and school sponsored it.

00:44:51.100 And it also got a quarter of a million dollar grant from the U.S. government.

00:44:55.700 Oh my gosh.

00:44:57.240 For what?

00:44:58.620 For what?

00:45:00.080 For anti-Semitism.

00:45:01.880 For anti-Semitism, Glenn.

00:45:03.800 I don't mean the anti-Semitism of, hey, you know, I hate Israel, so therefore I'm an anti-Semite, 0.57

00:45:08.680 right?

00:45:08.840 That's one thing.

00:45:10.300 And by the way, just to be clear, if you hate Israel at the exclusion of other, quote

00:45:15.760 unquote, bad actors, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, by the way, just so you know, you're an anti-Semite.

00:45:19.660 But let's not have that debate or argument.

00:45:22.480 I'm talking about, I went to the conference and I started asking students and administrators

00:45:27.620 and professors a simple question.

00:45:30.100 I said, does Jewish money control the U.S. government?

00:45:33.960 I probably talked to 40 or 50 students.

00:45:37.280 And with the exception of two, and I know that number because it was only two, everybody

00:45:41.720 else said, of course, Jewish money controls the U.S. government.

00:45:44.660 They control decisions around the world.

00:45:47.100 A basic, one of the most damaging anti-Semitic tropes you could imagine.

00:45:52.380 If it only stopped there, Glenn, because the next thing that happened is they had the main

00:45:58.060 entertainment for the evening, right?

00:46:00.700 That they flew in from Israel with a Palestinian-Israeli rapper, an Israeli-Arab, but they call

00:46:06.800 themselves, you know, Palestinian-Arabs now, Palestinian-Israelis now.

00:46:10.100 So, he gets up there and he proclaims to this packed auditorium, packed, he says, this is

00:46:18.100 my anti-Semitic song.

00:46:19.420 I'm thinking, okay, I don't know, maybe he's joking. 0.54

00:46:21.040 What the hell is he talking about?

00:46:22.580 And then he starts to rap, this horrific rap, and he continues to egg the audience on 0.83

00:46:27.320 by saying, guys, you're not being anti-Semitic enough.

00:46:30.240 Let's bring it up to a 10.

00:46:31.580 Let's take it up to Mel Gibson-Level's anti-Semitism.

00:46:33.920 And the crowd is going wild.

00:46:35.500 So, they're singing and cheering him along the song, and he ends this thing with, guys,

00:46:41.440 you guys are beautifully anti-Semitic. 0.51

00:46:43.280 Thank you for not letting me be anti-Semitic alone, okay?

00:46:46.160 And the whole while, the head of the guy who brought the conference to put the conference

00:46:50.960 together, the guy who works for UNC, a professor there, an administrator there, he's sitting

00:46:54.860 there smiling the entire time.

00:46:56.700 Glenn, it was one of the most egregious, disgusting events I have ever witnessed in my life, and

00:47:00.620 you know, I've seen some bad stuff.

00:47:03.060 Okay, I'm going to play the audio.

00:47:05.500 This is part of the audio in the video that you captured at Duke-UNC.

00:47:11.780 I'm Ami Horowitz, and I'm here on the campus of the University of North Carolina, where

00:47:16.580 UNC and Duke are holding a joint conference on the conflict in Gaza.

00:47:20.960 So, I came here to get a sense of the perspectives of the people attending the conference.

00:47:25.460 This was a major conference with hundreds of students, professors, and administrators

00:47:29.820 who spent a weekend bashing Israel and whitewashing the terrorist organization, Hamas.

00:47:34.260 If it only stopped there. 0.71

00:47:36.500 This is a professor who I asked about her views on the spate of attacks in New York by black

00:47:42.420 teens on Jews and synagogues. 0.98

00:47:45.180 Blacks have a lot of, also, reason to be angry at Jews now. 0.99

00:47:50.420 The conference wouldn't allow me to film inside, so my sound guy set me up with a hidden 0.99

00:47:54.740 mic.

00:47:55.740 With very little prodding, the veneer of being anti-Israel in an effort to hide their hatred

00:47:59.740 of Jews was easily scratched away and devolved into open anti-Semitism.

00:48:03.980 I first asked them about the most powerful modern anti-Semitic trope.

00:48:08.980 Does Jewish money control U.S. government policy?

00:48:12.140 U.S. government policy?

00:48:13.140 Yeah.

00:48:14.140 Oh, absolutely.

00:48:15.140 Not you guys.

00:48:16.140 Jewish lobbyists are very rich. 0.63

00:48:18.140 The Jewish lobby is influencing our government and how that's changing U.S. policy.

00:48:24.140 That's my name.

00:48:25.140 This is historically known for everyone.

00:48:26.960 With you on that one.

00:48:28.960 They're influencing our politics.

00:48:30.960 You know, the rule and the money rules the world. 0.99

00:48:33.960 Yeah.

00:48:34.960 Not meaning, like, makes the decision.

00:48:36.960 I appreciate your courage.

00:48:37.960 Oh, this is interesting what you are doing, right?

00:48:40.960 Yeah.

00:48:41.960 Yeah.

00:48:42.960 Impressive.

00:48:43.960 I'm Jewish.

00:48:44.960 I don't know.

00:48:45.960 Yeah, I could already tell.

00:48:46.960 You didn't have to tell me.

00:48:47.960 I don't take offense to that at all.

00:48:48.960 No, no.

00:48:49.960 I mean, I appreciate people who are questioning their own background.

00:48:53.960 Look at the treatment of Ethiopian Jews, right?

00:48:55.960 The Jews that are supposedly in the club, but they're Ethiopian. 0.99

00:48:58.960 They're black. 0.74

00:48:59.960 They're refugees who come to Israel, assuming it's this Jewish state, have actually been 0.58

00:49:03.960 sterilized in the past.

00:49:04.960 You're telling me that, I don't know, the Jewish government sterilized Ethiopian Jews

00:49:09.960 coming into Israel?

00:49:10.960 Yeah.

00:49:11.960 Yeah, yeah.

00:49:12.960 That's crazy.

00:49:13.960 And then, the featured entertainment for the event came on stage.

00:49:16.960 He proceeded to, well, let's let the video do the talking.

00:49:20.960 Antisimism.

00:49:21.960 Yeah.

00:49:22.960 Okay.

00:49:23.960 I know it sounds R&B stuff, but don't think of Rihanna when you sing it.

00:49:29.960 Think of, don't think of Beyonce.

00:49:32.960 Think of Mel Gibson.

00:49:33.960 Oh my god. 1.00

00:49:34.960 Yeah, go dead anti-Semitic. 0.85

00:49:38.960 Let's try it together, because I need your help.

00:49:39.960 I cannot be anti-Semitic alone.

00:49:42.960 Oh! 0.60

00:49:43.960 I'm in love with you.

00:49:44.960 Oh! 0.60

00:49:45.960 I'm in love with you.

00:49:46.960 I'm in love with you.

00:49:47.960 I'm in love with you.

00:49:48.960 Oh! 0.60

00:49:49.960 I'm in love with you.

00:49:50.960 I'm in love with you. 0.53

00:49:51.960 You look beautiful, anti-Semitic. 0.76

00:49:52.960 Oh! 0.71

00:49:53.960 I'm a beautifully anti-Semitic. 1.00

00:50:00.860 This is crazy.

00:50:03.620 I'm going to have to ask you to leave.

00:50:06.440 Why?

00:50:07.440 The director does not want you.

00:50:10.380 You know, he used to be conducted, so I'm going to have to ask you to leave.

00:50:13.060 I'm going to have to ask you to leave.

00:50:14.320 No, I have to call the police.

00:50:16.120 Are we causing trouble?

00:50:17.560 We don't understand what your intentions are.

00:50:19.840 We're still asking you to leave the police.

00:50:21.460 Just days after the conference, swastikas were found on campus.

00:50:26.860 38 of the largest departments and schools at the University of North Carolina sponsored this event.

00:50:32.760 It also got a federal grant of nearly a quarter of a million dollars.

00:50:37.400 They should all be ashamed.

00:50:38.740 Wow.

00:50:40.180 Ami, that is crazy.

00:50:44.020 How, I mean, as somebody who knows history, and you being Jewish, you know this history, were you afraid?

00:50:57.980 I mean, was this like, was this something that goes right to the center of your being of, oh my gosh, here it is again?

00:51:07.280 It goes right to my core.

00:51:10.200 Look, as you were alluding to, Jewish history is replete with pogroms, massacres that have occurred because of events like this.

00:51:22.100 Honestly.

00:51:22.840 Now, I'm not saying this is going to lead to a pogrom, although it did lead to a, you know, when I released that video, there was that one,

00:51:29.940 I mentioned the incident where they were printing swastikas in some dormitories, but in the days that followed the release of the video,

00:51:38.640 this actually has increased and there were anti-Semitic posters put up in the library.

00:51:43.500 But these are the kind of events that lead to significant problems for Jews.

00:51:48.820 And what's so important to point out here is this did not happen, I know this is obvious, but I think it bears repeating.

00:51:56.620 This did not happen in some kind of Ku Klux Klan rally that happened to have caught, right?

00:52:01.220 This is at one of our, two of our most prestigious universities in this country.

00:52:05.080 And, you know, we're used to the usual suspects of anti-Semitism coming from neo-Nazis, radical Islamists, right?

00:52:12.040 We all know that.

00:52:12.920 I've reported on it, right?

00:52:14.200 That's clear.

00:52:14.840 But what we're seeing, and this is not a trend that's, by the way, happened over the last two years.

00:52:19.540 It's over a 10-year trend.

00:52:21.000 We're seeing that this is coming from the left, okay, from the alt-left, if you will.

00:52:26.500 And we're not just seeing it in the halls of academia.

00:52:29.960 We're seeing it in the halls of Congress.

00:52:31.620 You don't think Rashid Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, they're not partly responsible for this?

00:52:37.940 Of course.

00:52:38.840 They're allowing this, you know, I love when they blame the president for allowing coarseness to our dialogue, okay?

00:52:45.280 This is, there's nothing compared to what we're hearing from the halls of Congress.

00:52:49.120 And now we're seeing the halls of academia.

00:52:50.780 And, yes, this is something that troubles me to my core, Glenn.

00:52:54.880 I mean, I, you know, one of the reasons why we didn't stop the Holocaust is, in my opinion, 0.98

00:53:04.320 FDR was a racist and a bigot in many ways. 0.68

00:53:11.940 He was with the Japanese, and he was with Jews. 0.95

00:53:14.120 And Morgenthau tried to talk to the president about it, but FDR's response was always the same.

00:53:22.880 And it was the same in Europe and in Germany.

00:53:26.140 And I heard it on that tape, and it chilled my blood. 0.95

00:53:30.840 Well, these fill-in-the-blank, on the videotape it was blacks, have a lot of reasons to be angry at the Jews. 0.87

00:53:39.120 That is exactly what was said in Germany, then Europe, and in our own White House when we did nothing. 0.77

00:53:48.280 Well, they brought it upon themselves.

00:53:50.380 You know, they got greedy, and they might start talking about the bankers.

00:53:56.320 That's, that's, that's a ruse.

00:53:59.540 They mean all Jews.

00:54:01.100 They mean all Jews.

00:54:03.500 Hami, I, uh, I pray that people will wake up, and I thank you so much for your bravery.

00:54:10.600 God bless you.

00:54:11.440 It's always my pleasure.

00:54:12.360 Thank you.

00:54:12.940 Thank you, Glenn.
