00:00:00.000 What you're about to hear is the fusion of entertainment and enlightenment.
00:00:06.660 This is the Glenn Beck Program.
00:00:12.220 Sorry, politicos. I hate to break it to you elected people and fellow confused folks like me.
00:00:19.100 No, we're not in this together.
00:00:21.140 And hey, whatever happened to the flu?
00:00:23.920 We'll answer a few of those questions next.
00:00:26.700 It is the Glenn Beck Program.
00:00:28.000 This is the Glenn Beck Program.
00:00:34.400 Hey, it is the Glenn Beck Program.
00:00:37.280 Jeff Katz, happy to be sitting in for Glenn this morning.
00:00:41.140 I am ordinarily in central Virginia on the air.
00:00:45.780 And of course, today I'm just so happy to be sitting in for Glenn and chatting with folks all over the country.
00:00:51.260 I asked, what exactly happened to the flu?
00:00:55.900 Do you remember the flu used to be all the rage?
00:00:58.000 I mean, seriously, the flu was the thing that was going to get us all.
00:01:02.640 Not Ebola, not the bird flu.
00:01:05.460 Just the regular flu every single year.
00:01:07.960 You get the flu.
00:01:08.720 He gets the flu.
00:01:09.460 She gets the flu.
00:01:10.720 And if you're not on guard, forget about it.
00:01:13.940 This is why everybody's got to get a flu shot.
00:01:15.680 And then maybe you should get another flu shot.
00:01:17.580 And I'll try the other flu shot.
00:01:18.980 And the flu has gone missing.
00:01:22.780 It is MIA at the moment because everybody is focused on the Chinese coronavirus, the Wuhan coronavirus, the novel coronavirus, or COVID-19.
00:01:32.080 Look, I try and cover each and every one of those names.
00:01:35.820 Why?
00:01:36.640 Because each of the names has been used.
00:01:38.420 Each of the names seems to be legitimate.
00:01:40.840 And that way everybody is offended equally.
00:01:43.320 But the flu used to be the thing.
00:01:48.440 And it would lead newscasts.
00:01:50.220 And every single article that appeared in print would then have the little sidebar article that said, oh, you got to get the flu shot.
00:01:58.400 And then every year there'd be a new variation of the flu shot because there was a new variation of the flu.
00:02:06.560 And the flu shots each year were just, I don't want to say they were cobbled together because that's insulting.
00:02:12.680 But essentially, well, they were cobbled together.
00:02:15.360 You'd have a bunch of these immunologists sitting around going, hey, Joe, where are you going for lunch today?
00:02:22.860 Blah, blah, blah.
00:02:24.140 Okay.
00:02:25.040 Didn't they have the flu once?
00:02:26.340 Yeah.
00:02:26.640 All right.
00:02:27.020 Let's put that in the batch.
00:02:28.400 It just seems to me that there's sort of a scattershot approach.
00:02:32.660 Now, behind the scenes, obviously, you've got really brilliant medical people going, no, here's why we picked this one.
00:02:39.460 Here's why we picked that one.
00:02:41.380 But each year we get the flu shot.
00:02:43.540 And each year people get the flu.
00:02:45.740 And this year, no coverage of the flu.
00:02:47.600 So I reached out.
00:02:48.900 I know one or two people, right, one or two people who have got a medical background.
00:02:53.980 And I said, listen, doc, how come I'm not hearing about the flu?
00:02:57.860 One doctor in particular said, look, Jeff, here's what's going on with the CDC.
00:03:05.900 Here's what's going on with the flu.
00:03:08.780 They're counting the flu in with other ailments.
00:03:17.340 So now they've got something called PIC, P-I-C, pneumonia, influenza, COVID.
00:03:25.220 So unless you want to go in and break it all up, you get the one number, apparently.
00:03:30.960 Now, I know what you're thinking, Jeff.
00:03:32.120 I cannot possibly, under any circumstances, confuse the flu with something more serious.
00:03:37.720 And the reality is, yeah, you can.
00:03:40.400 Yeah, you can.
00:03:42.120 See, because for years I thought I had had the flu.
00:03:44.980 And I tell people, hey, Jeff, I got the flu.
00:03:48.220 I totally got the flu.
00:03:49.660 Well, how do you know you have the flu?
00:03:50.620 Well, because I don't feel well and it's wintertime and that's what you do.
00:03:53.360 You get the flu.
00:03:54.300 Well, it could be a cold.
00:03:55.280 No, it can't be a cold.
00:03:56.240 I know it's the flu.
00:03:57.580 And then you know what happened?
00:03:58.980 I actually got the flu.
00:04:00.860 Now, if you've never had the real flu, let me explain this to you.
00:04:06.220 Because I got up one morning and I didn't feel well.
00:04:10.620 I said to my wife, all right, I'm going to work.
00:04:13.340 So I go to work and I don't feel well.
00:04:16.640 Yeah, not end of the world.
00:04:18.200 Not I'm going to jump off this building because it's just too bad.
00:04:21.740 I just didn't feel well.
00:04:24.380 Not 100%.
00:04:25.860 Well, I'm sitting at my desk and I'm doing what I'm supposed to do.
00:04:29.200 And then it's time for my show.
00:04:32.680 And I walk up these steps.
00:04:35.260 And I got to tell you, as I'm walking up the steps, I'm thinking, I don't know when it happened.
00:04:39.260 But these steps have gotten longer.
00:04:41.320 They're higher.
00:04:41.980 They're more steps.
00:04:43.080 I swear they're more steps.
00:04:44.280 And with each step, I get a little more tired.
00:04:47.200 And I'm not feeling quite as well as I was at the beginning of the steps.
00:04:50.940 And then I make it to the end of the steps.
00:04:52.480 And I think, well, all right.
00:04:53.360 And I walk into our broadcast studio and I sit down and I start talking.
00:05:00.400 And I talk and I talk and I talk.
00:05:01.940 Yada, yada, yada.
00:05:02.780 Bada, bada, bada, bada.
00:05:03.460 And then during the news breaks and during the commercial breaks, I start putting my head down on the table.
00:05:11.540 And my boss came in.
00:05:12.900 He says, hey, are you okay?
00:05:14.680 Oh, yeah.
00:05:15.280 I just don't feel well.
00:05:17.300 And he's looking at me.
00:05:19.020 And I thought, man, I must look really bad.
00:05:21.980 He says, you just are.
00:05:23.680 Why don't you go home?
00:05:26.000 Really?
00:05:26.860 Yeah.
00:05:27.600 No, I'm okay.
00:05:28.140 No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
00:05:29.560 You don't look well.
00:05:31.520 No, okay.
00:05:32.580 And then I'm thinking, I got to walk down those steps again.
00:05:36.260 This is not good.
00:05:37.920 But I walk down the steps.
00:05:40.020 And I drive home.
00:05:41.380 And as I'm driving home, I'm thinking to myself, man, I don't feel well, right?
00:05:45.300 I keep coming back to that.
00:05:46.420 I don't feel well, but it's not end of the world sick.
00:05:51.580 I'm sure of it.
00:05:53.720 So I get home and I say to my wife, I don't feel well.
00:05:59.320 Well, why are you home so early?
00:06:00.400 Because I don't feel well.
00:06:01.440 And my boss said, you look unwell.
00:06:04.700 Oh, okay.
00:06:05.300 So what are you going to do?
00:06:05.820 I'm going to bed.
00:06:07.340 Now, it's probably five o'clock in the afternoon.
00:06:10.100 I trudge up the steps.
00:06:11.640 And again, I'm thinking to myself, God, who replaced the steps in the house?
00:06:17.580 I get into bed.
00:06:19.020 It's probably 5.15 in the afternoon.
00:06:23.420 I proceed to sleep until the next morning.
00:06:29.620 Now, apparently, at some point during my slumber, the bride came up to check on me.
00:06:36.460 Or at least that's what she claims.
00:06:37.460 Now, I'm not entirely sure.
00:06:39.200 However, because I'm thinking she could also have been checking the insurance policies.
00:06:42.920 Right?
00:06:43.120 Looking at going, well, at least, you know, is it asleep?
00:06:45.560 How bad could it be?
00:06:47.220 And then around 7, 8 o'clock the next morning, and I've been asleep the whole time.
00:06:52.200 I got to go to the bathroom.
00:06:54.080 And I get up.
00:06:56.240 And I start walking to the bathroom.
00:06:57.760 And I'm thinking, man, who designed this house?
00:07:01.320 I cannot believe that the bathroom is like a mile away from the bedroom.
00:07:05.280 Must have been some sort of marathon runner.
00:07:08.160 And then I realize, you know, I don't think I'm really well.
00:07:14.080 And I go to the doctor.
00:07:15.800 And sure enough, I've got the flu.
00:07:17.200 The official flu.
00:07:19.240 Influenza.
00:07:19.820 That's the real deal.
00:07:21.720 I get whatever the treatment is.
00:07:23.300 Boom.
00:07:23.480 I'm back to the real world.
00:07:26.140 Now, why do I mention this?
00:07:27.340 Because all of a sudden now, people are not getting the flu.
00:07:31.660 And the explanation I read yesterday was people are not getting the flu because so many people are wearing masks and staying six feet apart, which is apparently the same reason as the flu numbers plummet that the COVID numbers are increasing because people are not wearing enough masks and they're not staying six feet apart.
00:07:53.580 Can we have both of those only in the world of a politician, only in the world of someone who builds their life telling you and telling me how much smarter they are, how much better they are?
00:08:08.780 And that's what I mean when I say we're not in this together.
00:08:11.760 We're not even close to being in this together.
00:08:15.720 We have 19 million Americans who are out of work.
00:08:20.300 Let that sink in for a second.
00:08:24.180 19, almost 20 million out of work.
00:08:27.960 They're not out of work because they want to be.
00:08:29.800 Well, that's not true.
00:08:30.660 A couple of them are out of work because they want to be because they just found out they get a $300 a week bonus for being out of work, which makes no sense.
00:08:37.960 If you're in the dreaded private sector, if you're actually working for a living, you know what happens?
00:08:43.640 If you do really well, if you help the company advance, you may get a bonus.
00:08:50.260 But in the crazy world of the 5,600-page aid bill, this coronavirus incentive bill that just passed, 5,600 pages, nobody had a chance to read this thing.
00:09:08.700 Talk about cobbled together, but everybody voted for it.
00:09:12.540 You know why?
00:09:13.640 Because you and I apparently are going to get $600.
00:09:17.180 You want to cost that out over the 10 months that we've been locked up in our homes?
00:09:23.500 What is it?
00:09:23.920 Is it a penny an hour?
00:09:26.440 $600 is not worth it.
00:09:29.100 20 million Americans out of work is not worth it.
00:09:34.000 You are following these rules.
00:09:36.260 I'm following these rules.
00:09:39.260 But those people who are imposing the rules, the people who are telling us, hey, stay in your house.
00:09:47.520 Hey, don't go out after midnight.
00:09:49.240 Hey, this is the smartest virus of all time.
00:09:51.820 Unlike the flu that doesn't know what time of day it is, the coronavirus apparently can figure out if you're being naughty or nice.
00:09:59.060 It can figure out if you're out at a restaurant at 10 minutes past 10 or you've had an alcoholic beverage closer to midnight.
00:10:09.000 And those folks imposing these rules are not in it with us.
00:10:15.380 The state of California essentially has ceased to exist.
00:10:20.080 Governor of California is out gallivanting.
00:10:22.880 Hey, listen, I got a big party I'm going to.
00:10:25.340 The mayor of San Jose out socializing.
00:10:29.180 New York, well, Andrew Cuomo, who, by the way, I think is fighting with his brother, Chris, as to really who is the Fredo brother, because they each seem to be trying to out Fredo the other.
00:10:44.740 No, no, seriously.
00:10:45.760 I'm dumber than you are.
00:10:47.060 No, I don't think so.
00:10:48.500 Stupid is as, oh, my God.
00:10:51.500 Everything is locked down.
00:10:52.700 But he's making plans now.
00:10:54.140 He wants to go to the Buffalo Bills playoff game.
00:10:56.860 And he has the audacity, as he tells working people in New York, your jobs are not essential.
00:11:03.820 Your livelihood is not essential.
00:11:06.920 But he has plans to go to the first playoff game for the Buffalo Bills in an awfully long time.
00:11:13.060 And it's going to be described, we're told, as essential travel.
00:11:20.480 You get what I'm saying now when I say we're really not in this together.
00:11:25.820 888-727-BECK.
00:11:28.300 888-727-BECK.
00:11:30.380 I remind you all sorts of amazing material.
00:11:33.580 Great information for you every single solitary day when you check out glennbeck.com.
00:11:39.280 When you check out theblaze.com.
00:11:42.100 Oh, by the way, how insulted are you to learn that you're not essential?
00:11:47.100 That the fact that your kids want to eat every single day doesn't make you essential.
00:11:53.360 The fact that you're trying to pay your mortgage doesn't make you essential.
00:11:59.120 But some pinhead politician somewhere who wants to go for some sort of a wine reception,
00:12:06.520 like the governor of Rhode Island, they're essential.
00:12:10.100 It's appalling.
00:12:13.080 Remember, you can always shoot me an email as well.
00:12:14.860 Jeff at thejeffcatshow.com.
00:12:17.120 Jeff at thejeffcatshow.com.
00:12:19.660 If it's easier, you go to my website, thejeffcatshow.com.
00:12:22.920 And there's a contact page there.
00:12:25.840 It is Jeff Katz, and I am in for Glenn.
00:12:28.740 It is the Glenn Beck Program.
00:12:30.740 Jeff Katz, and I am in for Glenn on the Glenn Beck Program.
00:12:42.620 As we talk about who is and is not essential, but more importantly,
00:12:45.960 trying to shed some light on the fact that you and I are not in this together.
00:12:49.600 Well, maybe you and I are in this together, but the folks who are telling us to stay home,
00:12:54.840 the folks who have preached to us that we're all in this together,
00:12:59.220 they've made sure, quite frankly, that they are not in this at all.
00:13:05.480 Not even close to it.
00:13:06.780 888-727-BECK, 888-727-BECK.
00:13:11.380 By the way, Joe Biden got the coronavirus vaccine yesterday.
00:13:17.580 We'll play a little snippet of it in a couple of moments.
00:13:20.540 But you will be, well, you'll be, I don't want to say you'll be amazed,
00:13:25.580 because frankly, Joe Biden's comments I don't think amaze anyone anymore,
00:13:28.780 except for Joe Biden.
00:13:30.220 He is always surprised at what he said,
00:13:32.680 because he didn't even realize he said it,
00:13:34.340 because he's thinking, well, wait a minute.
00:13:35.560 Isn't it Matlock time?
00:13:37.920 I'm telling you, Matlock.
00:13:40.000 There's got to be an episode.
00:13:41.200 What about that lady?
00:13:43.260 I love her.
00:13:44.180 She solves all those crimes up in Maine, right?
00:13:46.460 It's Agatha Christie.
00:13:48.400 And then he's back to sleep.
00:13:51.320 Sal is in New Jersey.
00:13:52.580 Hey, Sal, welcome to the Glenn Beck Program.
00:13:56.220 Hi, it's a pleasure to be here.
00:13:58.420 Thank you.
00:14:00.000 I'm always amazed when I hear somebody agreeing with me.
00:14:03.480 And the problem with the politicians is everything they come up with never applies to them.
00:14:12.020 So, of course, it's always half-assed.
00:14:14.600 Yeah.
00:14:14.700 In New Jersey, the thing I wanted to talk about, we all had to vote on paper.
00:14:19.460 And the only way you didn't have to vote on paper, you could vote electronically, was if you had some sort of disability.
00:14:27.540 But there was never a list of what those disabilities were.
00:14:31.460 And am I stupid?
00:14:32.940 Or isn't it more difficult to vote electronically than to check out on a piece of paper?
00:14:39.720 But, Sal, there's your disability.
00:14:42.640 Right?
00:14:43.040 You're allergic to paper.
00:14:45.960 Is Phil Murphy, your goofball governor, going to come to your house and go,
00:14:50.120 All right, Sal, prove it to me.
00:14:51.460 Here's a piece of paper.
00:14:52.500 No, you had to show proof of your disability.
00:14:59.460 Sal, I appreciate the call.
00:15:02.000 Let me tell you, when you got a guy, remember, because that guy did it too, right?
00:15:04.940 That Phil Murphy guy was out having dinner somewhere.
00:15:07.320 You can't leave your house.
00:15:09.880 In fact, you can't even look out the window, because you might see something like, like what?
00:15:14.600 Governor Phil Murphy having dinner when he's not supposed to be?
00:15:17.040 Yeah, that's right.
00:15:17.940 You're not supposed to see it.
00:15:20.100 Martin, Virginia.
00:15:21.720 Martin, welcome to the Glenn Beck program.
00:15:24.440 Hey, how you doing, Glenn?
00:15:26.380 Glad to see you're on, or actually, Jeff.
00:15:29.260 Glad to see you're on the Glenn Beck show.
00:15:30.940 Happy New Year to you.
00:15:31.940 Happy Christmas.
00:15:32.740 Thank you.
00:15:33.300 I want to just make a quick point on the $600, you know, that they just passed for every American.
00:15:40.140 Yeah.
00:15:40.280 I'm in a field where I've really made, I probably doubled my income from last year.
00:15:47.420 Wow.
00:15:48.480 Yeah.
00:15:49.120 I'm in, you know, mortgage banking.
00:15:51.200 Oh, okay.
00:15:52.240 My wife is in, you know, an industry where it's just getting hammered, and without me,
00:15:56.800 I mean, I don't even know how they would be surviving right now.
00:15:59.160 I'm just pouring money, you know, helping out.
00:16:01.320 Yep.
00:16:02.200 But $600 is like a slap in the face.
00:16:05.200 It's, I can't even, like, I can't even get over the politicians where they think they're
00:16:09.420 actually really doing something great.
00:16:11.640 Well, but, Martin, let me ask you a question, though.
00:16:14.140 It's absolutely ridiculous.
00:16:14.260 Martin, doesn't that say something about us, that the politicians have figured out so many
00:16:19.680 of us are so damn stupid that they're going, yeah, $600, and these idiots are going to be
00:16:25.160 excited, because there are people who are excited about it.
00:16:28.500 Better idea?
00:16:29.900 Stop taking my money in the first place.
00:16:32.900 Leave it in my paycheck, or leave it in my business.
00:16:36.600 Let me spend it.
00:16:37.540 You know, they take it out of our left pocket, they put part of it in our right pocket, and
00:16:42.360 they go, there you go, Merry Christmas.
00:16:46.040 It's insane.
00:16:46.580 In Richmond, so, yeah, they're really digging deep into our pockets here.
00:16:50.040 It's ridiculous.
00:16:51.200 Everything from your utility bills or, you know, so many service fees on it.
00:16:56.720 I have friends that live in other counties that live in houses that are three times the
00:17:00.180 size of mine, and their utility bills are half of mine.
00:17:02.800 You know, just on and on and on.
00:17:04.460 It's ridiculous.
00:17:05.300 It is ridiculous.
00:17:05.980 Martin, I appreciate the call to the Glenn Beck program.
00:17:08.200 It gets crazier all the time.
00:17:11.620 $600.
00:17:12.420 Oh, no, wait a minute, Jeff.
00:17:13.120 You've got to put that in with the $1,200 they gave us before.
00:17:16.520 All right, so it's 100.
00:17:17.700 I want to carry the one.
00:17:19.300 I went to public school.
00:17:20.380 All right, so you got what?
00:17:21.600 $1,800?
00:17:22.400 All right, so you got $1,800.
00:17:24.840 $1,800.
00:17:26.500 You haven't been able to live your life for 10 months.
00:17:30.100 That's $180 a month.
00:17:33.140 Hold on.
00:17:33.600 I got to carry the $180 a month.
00:17:36.580 What is that, like $45 a week?
00:17:41.020 You do realize that you could sneeze and probably make $45 a week.
00:17:47.080 $45 a week is not big money.
00:17:49.860 I don't know if we've figured that out yet.
00:17:51.400 Oh, here's another thing.
00:17:54.180 It just occurred to me.
00:17:54.960 You know, the folks who are making the rules, like all these people working for the governor,
00:17:58.400 whatever governor you've got, I don't care, the governor of any state, you know, they haven't missed any paychecks.
00:18:03.660 Oh, they're on blue ribbon panels and blue ribbon commissions, and they're eating blue ribbon dinners, but they haven't missed a single solitary paycheck.
00:18:11.500 At the same time, they're telling you, if you go in and you try and operate your business, we're going to arrest you because you are not essential.
00:18:22.240 So, wow, it does get crazier and crazier.
00:18:26.220 Now, I mentioned to you that Joe Biden took the vaccine.
00:18:29.620 We'll listen and talk about it in just a moment.
00:18:32.700 It is Jeff Katz in for Glenn.
00:18:34.540 It is the Glenn Beck Program.
00:18:36.240 It is the Glenn Beck Program.
00:18:45.180 Jeff Katz sitting in for Glenn.
00:18:47.500 Happy to be here.
00:18:49.080 But where else are we going to be, right?
00:18:50.660 You're not allowed out.
00:18:51.540 I'm not allowed out.
00:18:52.980 Although I did go out yesterday.
00:18:55.140 Had some errands to run.
00:18:57.420 And I ran them.
00:18:58.420 I ran the errands and, you know, masked up and gloved up and wearing my hazmat suit, which is so fashionable.
00:19:06.240 This time of year.
00:19:07.340 No, seriously, if you get the red and green hazmat suit, people start confusing you for Santa, which is really neat.
00:19:14.920 It is really, really neat.
00:19:19.380 I take a look at what we're doing here in Virginia.
00:19:22.580 Our, well, my gyno.
00:19:25.800 And I don't, what, Jeff?
00:19:27.060 Your gyno.
00:19:27.760 Yeah, gyno.
00:19:28.820 Governor in name only.
00:19:30.580 My gyno, Wreck-It Ralph Northam, just announced the other day.
00:19:35.700 Everybody needs to be in their homes between midnight and 5 a.m.
00:19:40.180 And somebody, one of the press corps, actually said, well, excuse me, your governorship.
00:19:44.540 Why?
00:19:46.380 The governor's response was, well, my grandmother told me that nothing good happens between, or happens after midnight.
00:19:53.380 Oh, okay.
00:19:54.880 Well, sure.
00:19:55.580 I mean, I'm game.
00:19:56.980 Let's go along with that.
00:19:58.140 Why not?
00:19:58.700 As the same governor said, oh, the baby was born alive.
00:20:01.780 Not to worry, he'll fit in the trash can.
00:20:04.340 It's okay.
00:20:04.940 I mean, he's a terrible person.
00:20:06.160 But I'm looking at what we're allowed to do, we're not allowed to do, we're not allowed to do anything.
00:20:10.440 Oh, except maybe go out to get this coronavirus vaccine, right?
00:20:14.420 And now they're talking about, you need to have some sort of proof.
00:20:18.180 Like, what was it?
00:20:18.940 The ticket master said, we're going to start doing concerts again sometime, maybe next year, the year after, or, you know, when your baby is 18 years old and able to go to a concert.
00:20:28.760 Whatever it is, you're going to have to show proof that you've had the coronavirus.
00:20:33.360 Now, how are you going to do that?
00:20:34.400 You get a hat, you get a t-shirt.
00:20:37.340 Somebody else said, oh, you'll get a barcode.
00:20:39.900 Really?
00:20:40.640 Yeah, you know, like a barcode tattoo.
00:20:43.660 Seriously?
00:20:45.320 Have you read anything at any point in your life?
00:20:50.940 Oh, is that not a good idea?
00:20:53.380 It's not a good idea.
00:20:55.380 So, Joe Biden did get the coronavirus vaccine yesterday, and he had such a powerful statement afterwards.
00:21:04.720 Let's take a listen to what he had to say.
00:21:06.300 The administration deserves some credit for getting this off the ground with Operation Warp Speed.
00:21:12.680 I'm sorry, what?
00:21:15.240 Can I hear that one more time?
00:21:17.240 The administration deserves some credit for getting this off the ground with Operation Warp Speed.
00:21:23.560 Look, dude, I don't know how to break it to you.
00:21:27.500 It wasn't just the administration.
00:21:29.180 It was President Donald John Trump who said, we're going to move this down the line as fast as possible, so long that it's safe.
00:21:38.000 It was President Trump, you pretender you, President Trump who got this thing moving.
00:21:45.540 And you and everybody on your side of the aisle, and by that, of course, I mean not just the Democrat Party hacktivists, but, you know, the Democrat Party hacktivists who have been deployed to newsrooms.
00:21:58.860 Every one of you said, well, you can't get a vaccine that fast.
00:22:02.580 It's going to be five years.
00:22:04.680 We're all going to be dead, and the last person around will get it.
00:22:08.720 And yet President Trump did it, and you can't even say his name.
00:22:13.080 Isn't that funny?
00:22:13.800 Because for Biden and his crowd, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump is the excuse and the reason for everything bad that's ever happened.
00:22:21.400 But President Trump gets this Operation Warp Speed together.
00:22:26.200 President Trump gets this vaccine, not with just one company, but with multiple companies, out there before the end of the year, and he won't even say the president's name.
00:22:40.800 Doesn't that tell you everything you really need to know?
00:22:43.740 888-727-BECK, 888-727-BECK.
00:22:47.480 Hit me up.
00:22:48.640 You can send me an email.
00:22:49.940 Well, easiest way to do it is go to the website, thejeffcatshow.com, thejeffcatshow.com, and click on the little contact link there.
00:22:58.640 And by the way, while you're on the web, can I give you two websites that I swear to you have got to be mandatory reading for you each and every day, glennbeck.com, theblaze.com.
00:23:09.580 Barry is in South Carolina.
00:23:11.220 Hey, Barry, welcome to the Glenn Beck Program.
00:23:13.620 Hey.
00:23:14.500 Hey, Jeff.
00:23:15.300 Thanks for having me on.
00:23:16.400 Yes, sir.
00:23:16.700 I just wanted to talk about stimulus.
00:23:18.340 I mean, $600 per person.
00:23:20.200 My wife is obviously jumping up and down for joy.
00:23:22.300 She's like, Joyce, you know, we've got five kids and just stuck at home because they all have to do online schooling.
00:23:27.420 And I'm like, you know, you realize that that's really only a month's worth of income for us because that's not going to be enough.
00:23:33.380 My kids are home.
00:23:34.260 They're burning up the electric.
00:23:35.440 They're burning up the water, the heat.
00:23:37.460 The food is, you know, obviously getting even more.
00:23:39.480 And I just think it's funny that they feel that the American working person is going to be happy with that.
00:23:44.900 I mean, I know a lot of them are like, yay, more money.
00:23:47.300 But it's gone.
00:23:48.320 I mean, my taxes alone just off my paycheck to work as much as I have to do is like $400 in state and a $600 in federal.
00:23:57.120 I mean, there it goes.
00:23:58.180 That's where the money is coming from.
00:24:00.120 I mean, I just think it's ridiculous.
00:24:01.560 They think that's enough.
00:24:02.340 And, Barry, you just raised the point that's the most important one.
00:24:05.740 It's your money to begin with.
00:24:08.180 It's our money.
00:24:09.500 God, they took it in the first place.
00:24:12.720 Give us that $10,000.
00:24:14.840 $10,000.
00:24:15.980 Here's some for you.
00:24:17.140 Oh, not to the people.
00:24:18.540 No, we got ice cream to buy for Nancy and, you know, Mitch McConnell.
00:24:24.220 Is he still looking for that spine?
00:24:27.060 Yeah.
00:24:27.440 No, have him check eBay or Amazon.
00:24:28.860 There's got to be a spine there that he could buy or bid on.
00:24:33.760 How much do we have left?
00:24:37.000 $607.22.
00:24:39.220 All right.
00:24:39.780 Keep the $7.22 for our handling fee and then send somebody the $600.
00:24:47.660 Jay in Ohio.
00:24:48.860 Hey, Jay.
00:24:49.380 Welcome to the Glenn Beck Program.
00:24:52.380 Hey, Jeff.
00:24:52.920 I think you're doing a terrific job.
00:24:54.660 Merry Christmas.
00:24:55.700 Thank you, sir.
00:24:56.620 So, absolutely.
00:24:57.860 So, my wife and children believe my job is essential.
00:25:03.640 It is essential.
00:25:05.280 And I know that's going to come as a shock to anybody who is in government who hasn't missed a single paycheck, a single health insurance.
00:25:18.320 No, they're fine.
00:25:19.920 You cut them off back in spring to say, okay, we're putting a freeze and not a payback in the future, but a freeze on old government pay 10 months ago?
00:25:31.820 This is over in 30 days.
00:25:34.880 30 days, it's over.
00:25:36.940 Yep.
00:25:38.420 And I've got to tell you, we're getting pretty fed up with this.
00:25:42.780 And I'm in Ohio and theoretically a Republican state.
00:25:46.600 I don't believe that for one second.
00:25:49.360 I don't believe that for a second.
00:25:51.280 Well, you know, Jay, I don't want you to take this the wrong way, but you guys in Ohio gave the rest of us this John Kasich character.
00:26:01.420 And we're trying to figure out if we can send him back and get our cleaning deposit returned.
00:26:06.140 Well, good luck with that.
00:26:11.100 Yeah.
00:26:12.400 Jay, I appreciate the call to the Glenn Beck program.
00:26:15.740 Yeah, there are a lot of these guys out there.
00:26:18.020 And you know what's funny to me?
00:26:20.040 We have so many of the party folks.
00:26:23.520 Look, I happen to be a Republican, but I'm taking a look and I'm thinking, no, no, no, no.
00:26:28.800 It's not a two-party system.
00:26:31.140 It really isn't.
00:26:32.440 It's your party and my party, and then it's their party up in D.C.
00:26:37.640 And, you know, their party involves wine and cheese and paying the bills with the money that you and I sent.
00:26:45.520 They are the swamp.
00:26:46.840 Look, Mitch McConnell, right, from Kentucky, just came out and said,
00:26:50.920 I don't want any of the senators challenging these electoral college votes, right?
00:26:55.860 There's that Congressman Mo Brooks out of Alabama and said, we've got to challenge us.
00:26:59.220 And all I need is one senator to challenge it.
00:27:02.580 McConnell's already said, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
00:27:05.660 I've already welcomed Joe Biden as the president-elect.
00:27:08.260 You know why?
00:27:09.280 Because Mitch and Joe hung out for a half a century.
00:27:12.300 Because they are buddies.
00:27:14.100 And you can have whatever letter you want after your name.
00:27:17.160 But Trump came in there and was, without question, without question, a disruptor.
00:27:27.660 And they don't like that.
00:27:29.140 Larry's in North Carolina.
00:27:30.580 Hey, Larry, welcome to the Glenn Beck program.
00:27:34.160 Hey, Jeff.
00:27:34.860 Merry Christmas.
00:27:35.640 How are you doing?
00:27:36.500 I'm doing fine, thank you, sir.
00:27:37.740 What we need to do with this extra intelligent virus that's going around is like what our parents used to tell us when we were children.
00:27:49.480 Be in the house when the lights come home.
00:27:51.480 Come on.
00:27:52.560 Don't be outside.
00:27:53.620 As soon as the lights come on outside, be in the house.
00:27:57.360 Yep.
00:27:57.640 And I'm in the great state of super-duper Cooper.
00:28:04.140 I'm about to – well, I don't have to say anymore.
00:28:08.740 No, you don't.
00:28:10.580 And everybody, by the way, in North Carolina who beat up on that poor Pat McCrory, he's not conservative enough.
00:28:17.900 Now you got what?
00:28:18.820 Like, I don't know that he's a social.
00:28:21.060 Well, maybe he is.
00:28:22.120 Ken is down in Florida.
00:28:23.020 Hey, Ken.
00:28:23.420 Welcome to the Glenn Beck program.
00:28:25.560 Thanks, Jeff.
00:28:26.200 How are you doing?
00:28:26.920 Fine, thank you, sir.
00:28:27.640 We need to call out Mr. Yang on his being basically a Nazi.
00:28:34.980 My family escaped Germany when my dad was three years old to get away from, you know, from being tattooed.
00:28:41.160 That's right.
00:28:41.780 And that's basically what he's doing, and I don't understand why we're not calling him out on it.
00:28:46.620 You know, Ken, it's a great question.
00:28:48.440 It's a great question.
00:28:49.640 I, too, lost family during the Holocaust, during the Shoah, right?
00:28:55.040 And every one of them had a government official at some point say, give me your arm.
00:29:00.960 We're tattooing a number on you.
00:29:03.180 I lived next to Mr. and Mrs. Barg when I grew up in Oxford Circle, a section of Philadelphia.
00:29:13.700 And both Mr. and Mrs. Barg had numbers on their arms.
00:29:16.660 And as a little kid, I had no idea what that meant.
00:29:19.360 But I would see Mr. and Mrs. Barg outside.
00:29:21.380 And again, I think I mentioned yesterday, we grew up in these, I grew up in a row house.
00:29:25.100 You know, 50 houses on each side of the street and windows just front and back.
00:29:29.780 Anyway, so I would see Mr. and Mrs. Barg and talk to them, and I'd see these numbers.
00:29:35.360 And I remember asking, because I was a kid, hey, what's the number on your arm?
00:29:39.320 What's that?
00:29:40.680 And Mr. Barg said to me, oh, well, we don't have very good memories.
00:29:45.140 So we tattooed our phone number on our arm.
00:29:48.520 Now, that made perfect sense to me when I was like 10.
00:29:50.900 I didn't investigate any closer.
00:29:53.480 I guess if I had, I would have seen that Mr. Barg's number was different than Mrs. Barg's number.
00:29:59.040 And I would have noticed that it wasn't actually the same number, the same number of digits as you would have at a phone number.
00:30:05.820 But I accepted that.
00:30:06.660 So now you've got Andrew Yang out there saying, hey, everybody has to have a barcode of some sort attached to them to show that they got the coronavirus vaccine.
00:30:19.140 Boy, that scares the living tar out of me.
00:30:22.600 Oh, one other question.
00:30:23.560 Do all of those barcodes, Mr. Yang, start with the number 666?
00:30:29.000 Just asking for, you know, a few friends.
00:30:32.700 Jeff Katz sitting in today for Glenn.
00:30:35.440 And it is the Glenn Beck Program.
00:30:38.760 It's Glenn Beck Program.
00:30:40.420 Jeff Katz sitting in for Glenn.
00:30:42.340 So happy to have this opportunity.
00:30:44.980 From News Radio, WRVA, in beautiful Richmond, Virginia.
00:30:48.960 Well, it used to be beautiful.
00:30:50.000 A lot of remodeling that happened during the summer.
00:30:54.220 And a lot of it involved spray paint and obscenities and sledgehammers.
00:30:58.300 I would have gone in a different direction.
00:31:00.780 But, you know, I'm not a professional in that regard.
00:31:04.120 A number of folks reaching out saying, hey, Jeff, what about social media?
00:31:06.720 Where are you?
00:31:07.640 I'm on Parler.
00:31:09.000 Jeff Katz show on Parler.
00:31:11.040 I'm still on Twitter.
00:31:12.220 But I swear every single day I say to myself, Jeff, this is the day you've got to quit Twitter.
00:31:16.960 This is the day.
00:31:18.200 Because what happened?
00:31:19.780 I had, I don't know, 25,000 people as followers, which I thought was pretty cool.
00:31:24.420 You know, send out some little stuff here and there.
00:31:26.480 And then all of a sudden, one morning I wake up and I have, I don't know, seven.
00:31:30.860 And then it goes back to 22.
00:31:33.420 And it's bouncing all around.
00:31:35.140 And I'm like, oh, what the heck is going on?
00:31:36.260 And then I start getting these emails from people saying, hey, Jeff, why did you ditch me on Twitter?
00:31:41.000 And I said, I didn't ditch anybody.
00:31:43.400 Frankly, I don't even know how to ditch anybody.
00:31:45.920 And that was when Twitter started with their great conservative purge.
00:31:50.220 You know, they'd take followers away.
00:31:52.220 So I haven't done nearly as much.
00:31:53.880 But every once in a while, I like to encourage people to follow me on Twitter, Jeff Katz show on Twitter, just to annoy the people on Twitter, just to give them something else to do.
00:32:02.960 Oh, my God, Katz is up.
00:32:04.660 So, you know, go ahead, Jeff Katz show.
00:32:07.840 It's the same thing on both Twitter and Parler.
00:32:11.640 Where are you going to be for Christmas?
00:32:14.700 You're going to be locked in your house, right?
00:32:16.080 You're not allowed to do anything or see anybody or think about anything.
00:32:19.700 You're not even allowed to think about things, right?
00:32:22.500 Because if you're on Facebook and you post something you're thinking about, all of a sudden, some great unknown fact checker comes along and says, oh, this is wrong.
00:32:31.560 It's like, yeah, but that's my thought.
00:32:32.720 No, it's wrong.
00:32:33.580 Not allowed to think it.
00:32:34.400 Don't think that.
00:32:35.560 Don't you dare think that.
00:32:37.840 We got a new way of conducting ourselves here.
00:32:41.760 Joshua is in Iowa.
00:32:42.940 Hey, Joshua.
00:32:43.580 Welcome to the Glenn Beck program.
00:32:45.720 Hi.
00:32:46.220 Good morning, sir.
00:32:47.260 Hi.
00:32:47.560 I heard you were talking earlier about the $600 coming in and everything for people.
00:32:53.380 I started thinking about, what about the Social Security tax deferral program that ends at the end of the year?
00:32:58.720 Some of us, like the federal government employees, and I'm also a reservist, you know, we were forced.
00:33:03.720 We didn't get to opt out of it.
00:33:05.320 So now you're looking at a 66.2 normal deduction.
00:33:09.160 You know, that's normal coming out.
00:33:10.180 But now they're going to have you repay that over the next four months.
00:33:13.840 So that's going to hit pretty hard right at the beginning of the year.
00:33:16.780 Wait a minute.
00:33:17.400 Wait, whoa, whoa, whoa.
00:33:18.360 Every, everybody has to repay that?
00:33:21.760 Federal employees, and that includes your military employees as well, that we were required to take that.
00:33:31.380 So, yeah, I mean, since it started in September, you know, a little extra cushion we got, but we knew that we were going to have to pay that back.
00:33:39.800 That is outrageous, Joshua.
00:33:42.580 I appreciate the call.
00:33:44.020 I didn't even know that.
00:33:45.360 But federal employees, members of the military, reservists, are going to have to repay?
00:33:52.340 Oh, that's outrageous.
00:33:54.140 Hey, let me grab Bill, who is in Georgia, when we have the opportunity to talk about Christmas songs.
00:34:01.920 Hey, Bill.
00:34:03.860 How are you, Jeff?
00:34:05.100 I'm fine, thank you.
00:34:07.000 20 seconds.
00:34:09.060 All right.
00:34:09.660 You just talked about, you know, Jews and being with Merry Christmas.
00:34:13.380 Yep.
00:34:13.780 It would be interesting to know, there's a little bit of trivia, the top, seven of the top ten songs ever written about Christmas, including White Christmas, the number one teller, are written by Jews.
00:34:22.940 Of course, which is exactly why we don't have any decent Hanukkah songs.
00:34:27.640 Thank you, Adam Sandler.
00:34:29.220 Jeff Katz in for Glenn, the Glenn Beck Program.
00:34:31.620 It is the Glenn Beck Program.
00:34:38.220 Jeff Katz.
00:34:39.320 Happy, thrilled to be sitting in for Glenn this morning.
00:34:44.360 You know, every once in a while, when you do this sort of a show, you have the opportunity to tell a story.
00:34:53.220 To tell a story that's really worth telling.
00:34:57.180 And a couple of years ago, I got this book in the mail.
00:35:02.600 And it was written by, and I don't say this as an insult, it was written by a kid, this high school student said, hey, Jeff, you know, I listen to your show every day.
00:35:12.440 And I've heard you talk about your daughter, Julian, and her disabilities.
00:35:17.360 Well, my sister Emily has got some special challenges.
00:35:21.820 And I thought you'd get a kick out of this book.
00:35:23.960 And, hang on a second, it wasn't just I want you to read the book.
00:35:27.420 And I think you should have me on your show to talk about it.
00:35:31.260 I thought, and he was right.
00:35:33.760 Well, I'm happy that PJ Morrissey is joining us.
00:35:37.640 PJ, thanks so much for being here.
00:35:40.500 Thank you for having me, Jeff.
00:35:42.600 Oh, it is absolutely my pleasure.
00:35:44.700 So, I want you to share with everybody what you shared with me now, what is it, a couple of years ago.
00:35:52.580 And this amazing adventure that the Morrissey family, which is a beautiful family, has had with you and with Emily.
00:36:01.780 Of course.
00:36:03.060 So, I have a sister, Emily.
00:36:06.100 She was born 22 years ago.
00:36:08.120 And as a result of oxygen deprivation at birth, she was diagnosed with cerebral palsy.
00:36:14.180 And, you know, she's had many challenges that have come with it.
00:36:17.760 CP affects everyone differently who has it.
00:36:20.540 But for Emily, it's mostly global delays.
00:36:24.000 And, in particular, it's her gross and fine motor skills, cognitive skills, and speech.
00:36:29.220 And, you know, despite her many challenges that, you know, me and you wouldn't necessarily face on a day-to-day basis, like getting dressed or making breakfast or tying our shoes or anything like that,
00:36:41.840 Emily is more fortunate than all of us because she has a way of looking at things that not everyone else has.
00:36:51.000 You know, she's able to see the good in people and not judge them before even getting to know them.
00:36:55.860 And because of that, her smile is absolutely infectious because it's genuine, and she's reflecting back at the person that she's smiling at and all the good things that she sees in that person.
00:37:08.520 A little more of a back story.
00:37:10.980 Growing up with a sibling with special needs, my mom just told me this story I didn't remember.
00:37:16.040 But I was three years old, and we had just moved to New Jersey, and I got mad at my mom because we were, me and Emily were going down into the basement to play for hours like we used to.
00:37:31.100 And I said to her, why do I have to go down the stairs by myself?
00:37:35.860 Why does Emily always have help and I don't?
00:37:39.100 Why does she have so much attention, you know?
00:37:41.060 I didn't realize that Emily was different and in a good way.
00:37:48.180 And, you know, I didn't understand why she couldn't play with me and my friends.
00:37:53.120 And my peers at school would talk about doing things with their siblings, and I would just be so shocked because I didn't have similar experiences as they did.
00:38:02.700 You know, we weren't able to play outside together with my friends, even though I begged my mom multiple times.
00:38:09.460 And, you know, I didn't really realize this difference until, I'd say, middle school.
00:38:20.800 And, you know, I started to realize that she was different, but not in a bad way.
00:38:25.840 She wasn't just an attention hog.
00:38:27.620 And she began to become a guiding light in my inspiration.
00:38:34.980 You know, she's someone that has taught me more about what's important in life than anyone else has.
00:38:41.360 And with that, she's opened so many doors for me.
00:38:44.240 You know, like you said, I wrote and published two books that are available on Amazon called Different and Changed,
00:38:51.000 about my journey and experience of growing up with a sibling with special needs.
00:38:55.660 And, you know, the reality of that situation of having a family member that has a disability is making sure that they have everything that they need,
00:39:04.460 such as, you know, things in school like an aid or, you know, just something to give her a purpose.
00:39:12.960 And the unfortunate reality is that as much as 80% of adults with disabilities are not active in the workforce,
00:39:21.400 and, you know, when school ends, you end up with this conundrum with, you know, what's next?
00:39:26.680 It's scary, you know?
00:39:28.320 There's many years where, you know, you don't know what's going to happen next.
00:39:34.080 And even though that they try to work it out while they're in school, a lot of the times it doesn't work out.
00:39:39.800 Like for Emily, for example, you know, they were placing her in a few places and she wasn't loving it.
00:39:45.340 And so because of this, my family and I came up with a business idea that would harness her skill level and one of her passions.
00:39:55.880 And ever since Emily was a little girl and started PT and OT,
00:40:00.080 they had her stringing beads onto pipe cleaners and strings in order to sharpen her fine motor skills.
00:40:06.060 And, you know, this was very difficult for her at the time.
00:40:08.820 She had to put a lot of concentration into it.
00:40:11.020 A lot of the times it could be frustrating.
00:40:14.440 And now she's done it ever since then.
00:40:17.420 And, you know, a couple of years ago, she started making these bracelets with pony beads on elastic string for our family and friends,
00:40:26.860 you know, that were school themed or seasonal themed.
00:40:32.060 And she just loved seeing how happy it made them.
00:40:35.900 And seeing those smiles on other people, on other people's faces really, you know, gave her that purpose and confidence.
00:40:45.760 And that's how Emily's Bracelets was born.
00:40:50.080 Emily's Bracelets.com is her website where she makes and designs so many different bracelets, even custom bracelets,
00:40:58.760 many that support first responders, other charities, things like that.
00:41:03.540 And, you know, when it started and it took off, it really did give her that purpose that I was talking about.
00:41:10.220 She used to be painfully shy to the extent where she was diagnosed with selective mutism.
00:41:17.100 Getting her to talk to anyone outside of our family was extremely difficult.
00:41:21.740 And shortly after we launched her business, her teachers, her therapist, they noticed a much larger sense of confidence in her.
00:41:29.780 She started standing up straighter.
00:41:31.740 She started talking to people without having to be prompted.
00:41:35.000 And now, you know, she's like a local celebrity here in Virginia.
00:41:39.720 She'll go out and she will just start a business or start a conversation with anybody she sees, you know.
00:41:46.960 Oh, I have this website, Emily's Bracelets.
00:41:49.080 My brother built it for me and you should go check it out.
00:41:52.520 And we're like, oh, who is she talking to?
00:41:54.240 Let me jump in for a second, PJ, because Emily Morrissey is a rock star here in Central Virginia.
00:42:06.440 This past year, her online business, Emily's Bracelets.com, was voted by people throughout Central Virginia as the best local online store.
00:42:19.020 And I happen to be, as you know, a very loyal patron.
00:42:23.700 I'm looking at my wrist right now.
00:42:25.560 I have on there my thin blue line bracelet that I wear every single day to support those who are still out there doing the job as police officers.
00:42:35.440 I've got the Julia Katz Bracelet, which Emily designed for my lovely little girl.
00:42:41.860 And a portion of those proceeds go to help the friendship circle.
00:42:45.220 I've got my Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Bracelet.
00:42:48.080 I've got my Santa Bracelet.
00:42:49.660 I've got my Grinch Bracelet.
00:42:51.120 I've got my Hanukkah Bracelet.
00:42:53.080 And now I'm pretty much up to my elbow at this point.
00:42:56.460 But I know I need more.
00:42:58.620 And I've got to tell you something.
00:43:00.440 And I want to remind everybody, not only is Emily Morrissey a real rock star here in Central Virginia,
00:43:08.160 I just wanted the entire country to hear this story, but PJ, what you've done, what you've been able to do with Emily is also something that just warms the hearts of everyone I've shared the story with.
00:43:22.200 You know, a freshman now at the College of William & Mary, devoted to service as an EMT, but always being there to really stand up and say,
00:43:34.720 hey, my sister Emily might be different, but God, she is a beautiful young lady, and you ought to check out what she does.
00:43:42.760 I mean, I love all of this.
00:43:43.960 Absolutely.
00:43:46.060 I mean, like I said, she's my guiding light.
00:43:48.060 She's my inspiration.
00:43:49.540 You know, when times are tough, it's easy to think of her and all of her challenges and think, you know, if she can overcome that with little frustration, then I can do anything.
00:44:00.480 And, you know, this has been one of our most successful years.
00:44:03.960 Many thanks to you.
00:44:05.480 Like you said, we were voted the best local online store in Richmond.
00:44:10.420 And she's done TV interviews.
00:44:12.300 She's been on your radio show, and she did an interview for Forbes magazine.
00:44:17.400 We've sold over 9,000 bracelets and smiles, and we've raised over $3,500 primary for the Special Olympics, while also at the same time donating money to the Friendship Circle, like you said,
00:44:30.340 and then also the Metro Richmond Police Emerald Society Line of Duty Death Fund.
00:44:34.240 So it's been very successful, and it's great to have it on a national stage now, like you said.
00:44:44.040 We love seeing orders coming in from all over the country.
00:44:47.740 It's one of our favorite things to do, like, oh, here comes an order from California or Kansas or wherever, you know.
00:44:53.360 And Emily loves it, too.
00:44:55.720 I mean, like I mentioned earlier, it was very hard for her to string beads, and now she can sit on the couch and watch her favorite Peppa Pig show and just bead away without even thinking about it, without even having to look at the string most of the time.
00:45:10.640 So it's something that really makes her happy, something that has given her a purpose in life that, you know, you hope that everybody can have, because it's so amazing to see that sense of independence and passion in her that we were afraid for so long would go unseen or unheard of just because of the way society is.
00:45:34.760 Yeah. PJ, I want to thank you for being here, and I want to give you the opportunity one more time.
00:45:41.620 Tell everybody the website they should visit.
00:45:46.020 It is emilysbracelets.com, all one word.
00:45:49.580 You can see our classic collection, casual collection.
00:45:53.360 We have a first responder collection and much more up on the website.
00:45:56.680 You can also find us on Facebook, Emily's Bracelets, Instagram, and Twitter, at Emily's Bracelets.
00:46:02.360 I love it. PJ, thank you so much for being here.
00:46:05.140 That is PJ Morrissey, and this time of the year especially, we're all thinking about good stuff, or at least we're trying to, even as Christmas has taken away in many ways.
00:46:18.320 I mean, the traveling, the real purpose of the season obviously is still there.
00:46:21.860 Listen, I love what the Morrissey family has done, and as the father of a special needs kiddo, it just inspires me to see what they have accomplished with Emily, and that's why I've become such a passionate supporter.
00:46:39.900 And the bracelets are beautiful as well.
00:46:42.720 So check them out, would you?
00:46:44.420 emilysbracelets.com.
00:46:45.680 Just a moment, I'm going to ask you if you know the directions to Candy Cane Way.
00:46:52.060 Oh, it sounds delightful.
00:46:53.780 But what's happening there right now, not so much.
00:46:57.420 It is Jeff Katz filling in for Glenn.
00:47:00.580 It is the Glenn Beck Program.
00:47:11.620 It's the Glenn Beck Program.
00:47:13.100 Jeff Katz sitting in for Glenn.
00:47:15.680 Do you know where Candy Cane Way is?
00:47:18.540 Do you ever hear of Candy Cane Way?
00:47:19.960 I've got to be honest with you.
00:47:21.060 I'd never heard of it.
00:47:21.900 Now, it sounds delightful, right?
00:47:23.980 It's obviously a Christmas thing.
00:47:26.820 God, I just love that.
00:47:29.800 Right?
00:47:30.160 And it sounds to me like some place everybody would want to visit.
00:47:33.840 Well, it has a website.
00:47:35.700 I'm going to give you a very quick little rundown, okay?
00:47:39.680 And this is actually from the Candy Cane Way website.
00:47:43.100 In December 1984, a wonderful group of neighbors living in West Allis, Wisconsin,
00:47:49.220 joined together to collect donations for the MAC Fund.
00:47:54.700 Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer, Inc.
00:47:58.980 in honor of a neighbor's child diagnosed with cancer.
00:48:02.840 The neighbors worked in concert and decorating their homes,
00:48:06.180 encouraged visitors to make a small donation as they drove through the festively enhanced neighborhood.
00:48:11.760 All of the money raised went to supporting research, treatment,
00:48:15.260 and the eventual discovery of a cure for childhood cancers and related blood diseases.
00:48:22.160 Now, that also makes you feel good, right?
00:48:26.120 Doesn't that be...
00:48:26.860 You hear that and you go,
00:48:27.880 Oh my gosh, there's hope for all of us.
00:48:31.640 Seriously, there's hope for humanity.
00:48:35.260 As you read the story of Candy Cane Way.
00:48:37.900 But, hang on a second.
00:48:39.080 A couple of days ago, groups that identify themselves as Black Lives Matter
00:48:46.980 decided that they would march through Candy Cane Way.
00:48:53.720 Another group called the People's Revolution marched through the streets.
00:48:58.960 And remember, these streets are all decorated.
00:49:00.900 They've got beautiful lights, and they've got creches, and they've got Santas, and reindeer, and candy canes, obviously.
00:49:10.820 And guess what?
00:49:12.540 The People's Revolution decided to march through it, chanting,
00:49:16.820 Black Lives Matter, no justice, no peace.
00:49:21.080 And this little ditty, whose lane?
00:49:24.680 Our lane.
00:49:26.340 Whose streets?
00:49:28.100 Our streets.
00:49:29.380 Now, I don't understand why you're there.
00:49:35.420 No, I really don't.
00:49:36.460 I don't understand why anyone protesting anything goes to some place like Candy Cane Way.
00:49:46.820 One of the comments said,
00:49:49.480 Quote,
00:49:50.460 My significant other lives on Candy Cane Lane,
00:49:54.160 and she just texted me,
00:49:55.820 BLM just crashed Candy Cane Lane.
00:50:00.040 They were blasting music so loud that it made her windows and walls shake,
00:50:04.500 and it scared the blank out of her dogs.
00:50:08.260 Wow.
00:50:10.240 Wow.
00:50:10.840 I watched the videos, and you can find them at TheBlaze.com.
00:50:17.120 If you go to TheBlaze.com, you'll see the videos of this nonsense.
00:50:22.760 You're disrupting a charity event.
00:50:26.240 The Milwaukee County Crime, Fire, and Police News page on Facebook said of the protest,
00:50:34.520 Yes, they came through, did not obey any traffic rules.
00:50:40.760 Wow.
00:50:41.520 You're going to crash a place, just so I'm clear.
00:50:47.900 You crash the place that's raising money to combat childhood cancer.
00:50:55.300 You're not the Grinch.
00:50:58.460 You're lower than the Grinch.
00:51:00.460 The Grinch looks down on you and goes,
00:51:03.020 Dude, you got to shape up.
00:51:06.280 How bad could you be?
00:51:09.400 Ebenezer Scrooge is looking at you and thinking to himself,
00:51:12.740 Man, we got some bad people in the world.
00:51:18.300 It's insanity.
00:51:20.540 Why haven't we heard about it anywhere else?
00:51:23.000 No, I thank Glenn and the staff at TheBlaze for getting it to us.
00:51:27.140 But this gives you an idea.
00:51:28.860 There's certain pieces of news.
00:51:31.340 It just doesn't get out there.
00:51:32.660 They don't get out there.
00:51:34.040 Why?
00:51:35.120 You got to think about the reason behind that.
00:51:37.200 Now, we'll talk a little bit more than that,
00:51:38.640 and then a little something that happened overnight.
00:51:42.160 The United States Capitol decided we got to remove Robert E. Lee.
00:51:48.140 Remember Robert E. Lee?
00:51:49.520 Oh, he was all the rage for a while.
00:51:51.420 Oh, he's a terrible human being.
00:51:52.600 I know.
00:51:52.880 Terrible, terrible, terrible, terrible, terrible.
00:51:54.800 We got to tear him down or box him up.
00:51:57.400 And so up at the U.S. Capitol, they've done exactly that.
00:52:02.280 But the truth behind it is a little different.
00:52:06.080 I'm going to clue you in on some of the truth behind that.
00:52:10.160 And I want to remind you quickly, folks have asked about social media.
00:52:13.680 Absolutely.
00:52:14.480 Parler and Twitter, JeffCatShow.
00:52:17.600 Facebook, RadioCats, if you want to touch base.
00:52:20.840 Love to have you do that.
00:52:23.640 And, of course, email.
00:52:25.160 You go to my website, TheJeffCatShow.com,
00:52:27.780 and click on that contact form, TheJeffCatShow.com.
00:52:32.060 Think about these things.
00:52:34.620 We'll examine why the story of the invasion of Candy Cane Lane wasn't covered.
00:52:41.380 It is Jeff Katz, thrilled to be filling in for Glenn.
00:52:46.180 This is the Glenn Beck Program.
00:52:50.220 It's the Glenn Beck Program.
00:52:52.140 Jeff Katz sitting in for Glenn today.
00:52:57.120 Protesting Christmas.
00:52:59.800 Protesting.
00:53:01.560 Finding a cure for cancer.
00:53:03.340 God, you've got to be pretty low down to do that.
00:53:07.040 And you think about that, and you go, well, wait a minute, Jeff.
00:53:09.320 That's evil, isn't it?
00:53:13.200 We're told over and over again,
00:53:14.720 I don't such thing as evil.
00:53:15.760 You people talk about evil, man.
00:53:17.760 That's just a...
00:53:18.540 You're nuts.
00:53:19.540 I'm telling you.
00:53:20.940 I am telling you, as sure as I am sitting here,
00:53:24.500 there are truly evil people in the world.
00:53:29.600 You don't want to think about it.
00:53:30.620 I don't want to think about it.
00:53:31.540 But they are.
00:53:32.680 And they're out there.
00:53:35.000 And there's no other explanation.
00:53:37.060 Let me give you one little snippet here.
00:53:39.520 I've mentioned to you that I live and work in central Virginia,
00:53:44.500 right outside of Richmond, Virginia.
00:53:46.780 Kind of in between Richmond and Washington, D.C.
00:53:50.960 And I live in an area, I've got to tell you, which is rural.
00:53:55.000 And I'm happy about that.
00:53:56.160 And it's weird because I'm a city guy.
00:53:57.660 I always tell you that I just assume meat always is in shrink wrap and styrofoam.
00:54:05.880 I didn't realize there was something before that.
00:54:07.880 Then I read about this, what, 14-year-old girl somewhere?
00:54:10.980 Was it in Kansas?
00:54:11.960 She shot a 42-point buck, biggest on record.
00:54:18.920 And then I have to revisit how pathetic I was when I went turkey hunting for the first time.
00:54:23.420 Well, the only time at this point.
00:54:25.420 Because I just thought turkeys were stupid.
00:54:27.980 I did.
00:54:28.720 I mean, I grew up in Philadelphia.
00:54:29.720 I didn't know from turkeys.
00:54:31.360 If I went hunting for turkeys, that meant that I was going to Pathmark and looking in the frozen aisle.
00:54:37.960 I found one!
00:54:39.560 The great hunt is over.
00:54:41.640 It's a Thanksgiving miracle.
00:54:43.020 It's all saved.
00:54:44.440 I go out to hunt turkeys.
00:54:46.320 First of all, I'm told it's really early in the morning.
00:54:49.860 We get up at 3, 30, or 4, then we have to sit on the ground.
00:54:54.660 I'm not exactly an outdoorsy sort of a guy.
00:54:57.780 I always refer to myself as the great indoorsman.
00:55:01.240 You get out in the woods, and I'm thinking, man, somebody should vacuum this forest every once in a while.
00:55:06.660 It's dusty.
00:55:08.060 When you sit there for hours in the mud, and it's cold, and there's one big tom turkey walking back and forth.
00:55:15.580 And you do the calls, and you've got to be super quiet.
00:55:21.640 Sat there for hours.
00:55:24.100 My insight on turkeys has changed.
00:55:29.540 Not only are they smart, they're nasty.
00:55:32.340 Because they can look.
00:55:33.500 They've got this great vision.
00:55:34.980 They go, huh?
00:55:36.700 Chubby guy over there from the city.
00:55:38.520 Let's show them how smart turkeys are.
00:55:41.080 But this is where I live.
00:55:44.960 And I've got people who care about other people.
00:55:48.600 And somehow, someway, we have a governor in Virginia who doesn't care about people.
00:55:54.740 He really doesn't.
00:55:56.160 His contempt for people is ugly in a way that can only be described as evil.
00:56:02.880 Now, we have a little snippet of Ralph Northam, which will define exactly who Wreck-It Ralph is.
00:56:10.480 Can we hear that?
00:56:11.800 So, in this particular example, if a mother is in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen.
00:56:17.860 The infant would be delivered.
00:56:19.940 The infant would be kept comfortable.
00:56:22.600 The infant would be resuscitated if that's what the mother and the family desired.
00:56:27.640 And then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother.
00:56:31.680 So, I think this was really blown out of proportion.
00:56:35.200 Blown out of proportion?
00:56:36.460 Dude, you're talking about killing a baby.
00:56:40.740 You're talking about delivering the baby.
00:56:43.480 The infant, right?
00:56:44.380 You called it a baby.
00:56:46.160 The infant is delivered.
00:56:47.960 The infant is, I don't know, put on a shelf?
00:56:50.080 Where do you put the infant?
00:56:51.000 Oh, I'm going to keep them comfortable.
00:56:52.540 Okay.
00:56:53.400 Well, you wrap them up.
00:56:54.600 You read them a book.
00:56:55.580 While you and the mother have this calm conversation about whether you should or should not dispatch the child.
00:57:05.040 Right?
00:57:06.360 That's evil.
00:57:08.080 That's pure evil.
00:57:10.800 And that walks amongst us.
00:57:14.160 It really does.
00:57:15.740 And I think that helps to explain some of the problems.
00:57:18.880 Some of the problems that you and I see today.
00:57:23.620 888-727-BECK.
00:57:25.920 888-727-BECK.
00:57:27.960 You want to shoot me an email, I'm more than happy to take a look at those.
00:57:31.420 Really appreciate it as well.
00:57:32.440 Jeff at thejeffcatshow.com.
00:57:34.680 Jeff at thejeffcatsshow.com.
00:57:37.800 You take a look at what the government officials, not all of them.
00:57:42.400 And, you know, I hate to use the term government like it's some big monolith.
00:57:45.640 I mean, these are human beings that are involved in this.
00:57:47.800 Human beings like Mr. Northam there who could easily dispatch a living baby because, yeah, inconvenience.
00:57:59.540 What about the hospitalizations?
00:58:01.160 Wasn't this the other reason?
00:58:02.080 Remember we were flattening the curve?
00:58:04.060 When was it?
00:58:04.560 10 months ago we were going to take two weeks to flatten the curve?
00:58:07.800 Well, have we done that?
00:58:09.800 Because I haven't heard any talk about the curve flattening or not flattening or growing out of proportion in a long time.
00:58:18.680 Mike is in South Dakota.
00:58:20.280 Hey, Mike, welcome to the Glenn Beck program.
00:58:23.540 Well, thank you.
00:58:24.660 Good morning.
00:58:26.040 Yeah, it's interesting to see the difference in the governors.
00:58:30.260 You know, we talked about flattening the curve.
00:58:32.360 I just wanted you guys to know and the rest of the nation to know we've had a completely open economy.
00:58:40.600 We did Thanksgiving here.
00:58:42.100 We're going to do Christmas here.
00:58:43.360 We come and go as we please.
00:58:45.220 There's no mask mandated mask mandate, but we wear them, you know, when we need to.
00:58:50.400 Yeah.
00:58:50.520 Our hospitalizations are down.
00:58:52.600 They were 580 hospitalized in South Dakota on November 19th.
00:59:00.600 We're down at 343 right now.
00:59:03.040 343 today.
00:59:04.480 You can go on the website and check in South Dakota.
00:59:07.160 They list the hospitalized people.
00:59:08.980 That's almost a 40% reduction in hospitalizations.
00:59:13.500 That's amazing.
00:59:14.160 That's amazing, you know.
00:59:16.680 Have you guys extended an invitation to Gavin Newsom or Governor Cuomo or any of the other folks that have shut down everything everywhere else?
00:59:28.760 You know, there's a saying out here, you can't fix stupid.
00:59:34.420 And, you know, that's from the fools among us out here.
00:59:38.060 You know, we're not very educated at all.
00:59:40.140 But, you know, just to divert just a second, that candy cane, you know, story you just did.
00:59:49.540 You know, the best present we can give our children for the holidays is a free country.
00:59:55.780 We've got to stand up and fight for it.
00:59:58.280 We've got to quit just ignoring what they're doing to us and take a stand, you know.
01:00:03.580 I mean, we're all here.
01:00:05.260 There's 73 million of us.
01:00:06.440 That's a lot of people that love America and love their neighbors.
01:00:11.300 Anyway, I wanted people to know.
01:00:14.580 That's great.
01:00:15.400 That's great, Mike.
01:00:15.960 I appreciate the call.
01:00:17.140 What an amazing thing.
01:00:18.400 South Dakota hasn't shut anything down.
01:00:19.960 South Dakota did Thanksgiving.
01:00:21.220 They're doing Christmas.
01:00:22.360 They'll do New Year's.
01:00:24.440 No mask mandate.
01:00:25.880 And yet people wear masks.
01:00:27.540 Why?
01:00:28.440 Because they're respectful of neighbors.
01:00:30.980 You know, that's the thing.
01:00:31.740 Everybody goes, well, you wear a mask, you can't catch this.
01:00:33.780 No, it's the other way around.
01:00:35.020 People are supposed to wear the mask so as not to infect anyone else.
01:00:40.960 So it's to provide some degree of comfort for someone else.
01:00:44.780 Think about that.
01:00:46.220 Ryan's out in Indiana.
01:00:47.320 Hey, Ryan, welcome to the Glenn Beck program.
01:00:51.000 Hello.
01:00:51.660 How are you doing?
01:00:52.460 Fine.
01:00:52.700 Thank you.
01:00:53.120 Great.
01:00:55.120 I guess my biggest thing is I would like to say to the American people with $345 million that we all approve and we all appreciate what everybody is doing as a bonus as one.
01:01:07.120 Except for the White House.
01:01:09.800 That isn't doing exactly what they should be doing.
01:01:12.420 And they kind of gave everybody their nice little small Christmas gift.
01:01:15.840 I feel that $600 versus $1,200 that we were getting.
01:01:19.680 Is this our Christmas gift?
01:01:21.300 And my question to everything that I can't understand for the White House and not the American people because it's not really anybody's fault.
01:01:27.920 But here's my gander.
01:01:29.540 Yeah.
01:01:30.760 I've been paying taxes for 500 years.
01:01:33.780 And we've been taking care of other countries for the last 100 years.
01:01:38.320 So my question is, one, where'd all the money go?
01:01:43.320 And two, we can go around and rebuild other countries up with no problems.
01:01:48.360 But yet you can't take care of the American people that are starving here every day and we dedicate our lives out here and risk everything that we're risking.
01:01:56.520 But yet they just push it up and just say, well, they'll be just flying for $600.
01:02:02.140 Well, that's not the point.
01:02:03.020 The point being is you haven't paid nobody for a year.
01:02:06.480 We're not expecting the payment.
01:02:08.320 But at least take care of your people when we're taking care of you.
01:02:12.800 Yeah.
01:02:13.400 That's a great point, Ryan.
01:02:14.840 I appreciate the call to the Glenn Beck Program.
01:02:16.800 When you take a look down this laundry list, right?
01:02:21.220 Last night was 5,600 pages.
01:02:25.460 It's an outrageous number for this bill.
01:02:31.240 5,600, 5,500, whatever it was.
01:02:34.640 It's an outrageous number.
01:02:36.260 And somebody actually did the math.
01:02:38.100 All right.
01:02:38.380 The average person can read technical things at the rate of about one page every five minutes.
01:02:44.420 So nobody read this thing.
01:02:48.520 Nobody there in D.C. read the thing.
01:02:52.040 They turned to their aides and said, okay, what's in it?
01:02:55.600 Are my favorite projects covered?
01:02:57.840 Because if my favorite projects are covered, I'm in.
01:03:01.000 That's what they all do.
01:03:03.260 Left, right, center.
01:03:04.500 I'm telling you.
01:03:05.420 Oh, and $600 to the American people.
01:03:11.480 Why?
01:03:12.140 Why not?
01:03:13.560 Why not?
01:03:15.880 Does that help anybody?
01:03:17.320 I mean, you think about it.
01:03:18.000 You've been out of work for 10 months.
01:03:19.380 You could have done just about anything and earned $600 in 10 months.
01:03:27.900 And how much longer do we sit back?
01:03:32.160 How much longer do we say, oh, yeah, we're not working.
01:03:36.840 We're not allowed to celebrate the holidays with our family.
01:03:39.380 But it'll all be okay.
01:03:42.720 Will it?
01:03:44.760 888-727-BECK.
01:03:46.680 888-727-BECK.
01:03:49.400 I'm going to tell you a little bit about this removal of the Robert E. Lee statue.
01:03:53.240 Oh, and the squad up in D.C. has decided we've got to release some more prisoners.
01:03:58.800 Not all the prisoners.
01:04:00.200 Just the really fat prisoners.
01:04:03.780 Hmm.
01:04:04.760 888-727-BECK.
01:04:06.460 888-727-BECK.
01:04:07.860 Remember, you've got to read glennbeck.com, theblaze.com every single day to get filled
01:04:13.060 in on everything you need to know.
01:04:15.060 And if you want to shoot me an email, I'd love to get those.
01:04:18.040 Jeff at thejeffkatshow.com.
01:04:21.780 It is Jeff Katz.
01:04:23.220 Thrilled to be sitting in for Glenn today.
01:04:25.120 This is the Glenn Beck Program.
01:04:27.000 It's the Glenn Beck Program.
01:04:28.620 Jeff Katz sitting in for Glenn today.
01:04:32.040 The statue of Robert E. Lee was removed from the United States Capitol last night.
01:04:37.860 Governor of Virginia, King Ralph, said there's no room to celebrate the bigotry of the Confederacy.
01:04:48.080 All right.
01:04:48.800 Now, this is the same guy who was asked two years ago, and asked essentially every day since then,
01:04:56.180 So, were you the one in blackface or under the Klan hood?
01:05:02.000 Robert E. Lee, you'll remember, was offered the command of the Union Army first.
01:05:08.260 President Abraham Lincoln offered Robert E. Lee command of the Union Army.
01:05:16.480 Robert E. Lee, at the time, considered himself to be a citizen, really, of Virginia.
01:05:24.860 If you take a look at the writings from that time, United States of America, prior to 1861, was usually used in a plural way.
01:05:41.080 It's only after 1865 that it becomes singular.
01:05:44.680 And Robert E. Lee, whether you like the fact that he was the commander of the Confederate forces or not,
01:05:54.520 after the war, Robert E. Lee did everything humanly possible to bring healing to the divided nation.
01:06:05.620 Ralph Northam could not carry Robert E. Lee's hat.
01:06:14.900 Let me get to a Jim who is down in Georgia.
01:06:18.360 Jim, welcome to the Glenn Beck program.
01:06:21.500 Wow, I'm so excited.
01:06:22.720 I've been trying to call in a Glenn Beck since he's been doing shows.
01:06:25.580 And I'm happy at least I'm on the show.
01:06:29.280 To piggyback on, Jeff, with this Candy Cane Lane protest, on August 25th, the burn, loot, murder crowd, as I'll call them, you know, BLM,
01:06:41.580 marched through the streets of Charlotte chanting, blanker Jesus, blank being the word starting with the sixth letter of the alphabet.
01:06:50.380 And if we go back five years ago, around Thanksgiving of 2015 in Chicago, they were stripping Christmas decorations off the city's Christmas tree.
01:07:04.640 All this is documented, including the video of them chanting, again, the sixth letter of the alphabet, you're Jesus.
01:07:12.640 You know, so, I mean, I would love you, Jeff, to Google, everybody listening, to include you.
01:07:18.600 I challenged them, I challenged them to look that up.
01:07:25.180 And by the way, where I'm calling you from right now, I'm standing in front of a child sacrifice center known as a murder mill abortion clinic in Augusta, Georgia, with some friends.
01:07:35.000 And we're not yelling at the women.
01:07:36.820 What we're doing is, and I join them, is that we help them with an alternative, medical, food, clothing, and adoption, not in hate.
01:07:46.460 And we do have a limited success here.
01:07:49.120 We have limited success.
01:07:50.960 And we've had guns pulled on us here, and the sheriff's department don't do anything on us.
01:07:56.500 Guns flashed at us.
01:07:57.740 We've received threats, harassment for being on the public right away.
01:08:01.820 But guess what?
01:08:03.240 We're continuing.
01:08:04.580 Just like they can outlaw Christianity in America or Judaism.
01:08:08.440 And by the way, I'm a Messianic Jew, just to let you know.
01:08:11.340 Fair enough.
01:08:11.800 Jim, I appreciate what you're doing, and I appreciate the fact that you're doing it in a positive, friendly sort of a way.
01:08:19.640 Jeff Katz in today for Glenn.
01:08:22.060 This is the Glenn Beck Program.
01:08:26.400 Program.
01:08:28.260 So let me see if I've got this right.
01:08:30.860 Black Americans should get two votes.
01:08:33.500 White Americans, one vote.
01:08:35.660 The Swamp buys us off for $600.
01:08:37.920 And when is an actor not an actor?
01:08:41.520 That's all next on the Glenn Beck Program.
01:08:44.320 This is the Glenn Beck Program.
01:08:51.080 It is the Glenn Beck Program.
01:08:53.220 Jeff Katz, happy to be sitting in for Glenn, based at NewsRadio WRVA in Central Virginia.
01:09:01.840 There's some bizarre things going on right about now.
01:09:05.940 Now, we'll talk about the idea that an actor is not really an actor.
01:09:12.060 That has to do with a television show called The Stand.
01:09:14.720 It's based on the Stephen King book.
01:09:18.040 It's on, I think it's CBS Access.
01:09:20.840 Brian and I watched the first episode, and I thought it was okay.
01:09:24.440 I don't think it's great.
01:09:25.640 But there are a number of folks who are absolutely outraged because one of the actors on the program is acting.
01:09:32.440 I'll give you the details in a second.
01:09:35.560 But first, I'm taking a look at what happened last night.
01:09:39.520 Last night, while I was confined to my house, because remember, in the Commonwealth of Virginia,
01:09:45.680 our fearful leader, Wreck-It Ralph, our governor, decreed last week he decreed.
01:09:56.040 It's not a law.
01:09:56.700 I want to be clear on that, you know, because laws have this whole thing.
01:09:58.920 They go, remember the after-school specials, you know, how a bill becomes law.
01:10:03.160 Like, I'm singing that in my head, and then I break into conjunction-junction.
01:10:06.900 But anyway, so you get this bill that goes through the House, and then the Senate,
01:10:11.160 and then the governor, in this case, signs it, and then it becomes a law.
01:10:14.720 Now, that didn't happen.
01:10:15.540 King Ralph simply decreed that no one in Virginia, and it's a pretty big state, by the way.
01:10:23.220 It's long, kind of wide, got like, oh, we have 10 million people, 9 million people.
01:10:30.400 None of us are allowed out of our homes between midnight and 5 in the morning.
01:10:37.520 And when he was asked about that, because he had, you can't really call it a press conference.
01:10:44.400 What does the queen do?
01:10:46.100 Like, when the queen opens parliament, or, you know, some sort of regal official thing,
01:10:51.980 because that's the way this guy operates.
01:10:53.620 But anyway, so he issues this decree that no one in Virginia will be allowed out of their home
01:10:57.740 between midnight and 5 a.m.
01:10:59.860 And one of the reporters said, excuse me, your governorship?
01:11:04.520 Why?
01:11:04.840 And he said, well, my grandmother told me nothing good ever happens after midnight.
01:11:12.760 Well, I'd love to be making that up.
01:11:14.900 God, if I could make that sort of nonsense up, sitting in Hollywood, writing scripts, maybe not.
01:11:24.320 But $600 is what the payoff was out of this big bill.
01:11:29.280 And I mean massive, 5,600 pages, 5,500 pages.
01:11:36.920 Who's going to read that?
01:11:39.260 Nobody's going to read that.
01:11:40.180 And that's the point, isn't it?
01:11:41.700 That's the whole point.
01:11:43.700 Make it really big.
01:11:45.460 Decorate it like it's a Christmas tree, even as you're telling the American people,
01:11:49.700 no Christmas for you.
01:11:51.260 You can't see anybody.
01:11:54.120 You can't visit anybody.
01:11:55.600 Nobody can come to visit you.
01:11:57.540 And by the way, no more fun either.
01:12:00.820 Why?
01:12:01.260 Why not?
01:12:03.300 5,600 pages.
01:12:05.580 And you and I, at least in theory, bought off for $600.
01:12:12.200 888-727-BECK, 888-727-BECK.
01:12:19.220 If you want to send me some email, I'm certainly happy to read that.
01:12:24.280 Jeff at thejeffcatshow.com, jeff at thejeffcatshow.com.
01:12:29.080 Or maybe it's easier if you just go to the website.
01:12:30.660 There's a whole contact button there, thejeffcatshow.com.
01:12:34.920 Dave is in Ohio.
01:12:36.220 Dave, welcome to the Glenn Beck Program.
01:12:39.540 Well, Jeff, thanks for having me.
01:12:41.060 And, hey, consider yourself lucky in Virginia.
01:12:43.840 If you can stay out until midnight in Ohio, we have to be in by 10.
01:12:47.620 What did you do?
01:12:49.360 You must have.
01:12:50.380 No, no, wait a minute, Dave.
01:12:51.400 You must have dented the car and lied about it.
01:12:54.680 Or, you know, you're not doing well in algebra.
01:12:57.540 I mean, why else would you have to be home by 10?
01:13:00.660 Well, there's no other reason other than it just, you know,
01:13:05.820 gives just that little bit more of a pint of blood of control over to the Ohio government.
01:13:11.060 Oh, and was that your governor that did that?
01:13:14.500 He did, yes.
01:13:15.840 I don't know.
01:13:16.520 He had 10 o'clock, and I don't even understand this,
01:13:19.820 because now they're letting the bars, they stay open until 10,
01:13:23.000 but we kind of got an oxymoron art.
01:13:25.040 If you have to be in by 10, but the bars don't close until 10,
01:13:28.520 unless you got one of transporters from Star Trek Enterprise that just daps you home,
01:13:34.040 I don't know how you're supposed to do it.
01:13:35.420 Well, maybe they just assume you're going to pass out on the floor,
01:13:38.900 you'll wake up in the morning, and everybody's back to work.
01:13:41.400 It's all good.
01:13:42.320 It's all good.
01:13:43.200 Wow.
01:13:44.700 Nuttiness.
01:13:45.400 Dave, I appreciate the call.
01:13:46.880 Casey is in Texas.
01:13:48.040 Hey, Casey.
01:13:48.780 Welcome to the Glenn Beck program.
01:13:50.720 Okay.
01:13:52.360 Hey, good morning.
01:13:53.400 Good morning, Jeff.
01:13:54.300 Thanks for taking my call.
01:13:55.360 Absolutely.
01:13:56.140 So I just want to bring up, so I'm in the military.
01:13:57.960 You know, we have the Social Security tax was kind of put on hold for like whatever it was,
01:14:03.960 three or four months, and then they're getting ready to turn it back on here come in January.
01:14:08.900 So they're getting everybody their $600, so great, whoopee.
01:14:13.040 Everyone is going to – a lot of folks don't even realize that Social Security tax was put on hold.
01:14:18.920 So come January, say they were – all of a sudden they were making $150 extra.
01:14:22.840 They don't even know why.
01:14:23.680 Well, January, they're going to start taking that back, plus what they forgave for three or four months.
01:14:30.100 So they're going to have maybe a $300 swing for a lot of people that don't even realize it.
01:14:35.180 It's outrageous, isn't it, Casey?
01:14:37.160 How do you know about that is my question.
01:14:40.860 About the Social Security tax?
01:14:42.600 Yeah.
01:14:42.740 They were in hold or –
01:14:44.180 Yeah, the whole thing.
01:14:46.200 Yeah, I mean, it was advertised a little bit through commands in the military.
01:14:51.120 But, you know, I mean, a lot of folks in the private sector, they had options to put it on hold.
01:14:58.420 Everybody in the military was automatic.
01:15:00.380 Hey, you're just going to –
01:15:01.880 So if you were smart, maybe you'd set that money to the side.
01:15:06.500 And then right now there's no way to even just pay it all back right at once.
01:15:10.040 They're going to start taking it all the way until April.
01:15:13.780 So there's going to be a big swing in a lot of folks' paychecks.
01:15:16.420 Yep.
01:15:17.540 That's outrageous, Casey.
01:15:19.560 Just outrageous when you think about it.
01:15:21.700 And I appreciate the call.
01:15:22.880 Think about that.
01:15:24.120 So, again, let me make it simple.
01:15:27.240 I told you yesterday I'm the only one in this room, and I'm still not the smartest one in the room.
01:15:34.440 So make it so I can understand.
01:15:36.560 They took it out of my left pocket, and they put part of it in my right pocket, and they said,
01:15:45.680 You, you should be grateful for what we've done for you.
01:15:50.220 We have given you $600.
01:15:53.380 No, you just kind of sort of gave back some of my money.
01:16:00.320 And my follow-up question would be, where's the rest of it?
01:16:05.180 Don is in Minnesota.
01:16:06.400 Hey, Don.
01:16:06.920 Welcome to the Glenn Beck Program.
01:16:09.140 Yeah.
01:16:09.420 Hi, Jeff.
01:16:09.960 Thanks for taking my call, and Merry Christmas to you, sir.
01:16:12.540 Merry Christmas, Don.
01:16:13.880 Yeah.
01:16:14.440 You know, my wife and I got the first $1,200 stimulus check way back when each of us got a $1,200.
01:16:19.700 We decided that we did not need as much as many other deserving people, so we donated all of it to Wounded Warriors.
01:16:28.060 Now, if we do get, well, because we sat on it for a week and said, What do we do?
01:16:33.100 We weren't even expecting it.
01:16:34.600 We said, Okay, we got it.
01:16:36.320 So, and we were both surprised.
01:16:38.720 Well, how come we're getting it?
01:16:39.940 And I said, my wife and I just said, No, this is not something we should be taking, and let's find it.
01:16:45.780 I was already donating monthly to the Wounded Warriors.
01:16:48.540 I said, Let's send it all to them.
01:16:50.820 And, you know, we felt really good about that.
01:16:52.920 Now, if we do get the next $600 check, we have already decided it's going to go to the Tunnel Street Towers Foundation.
01:16:59.540 Oh, what an amazing organization they are.
01:17:02.000 Yes.
01:17:02.360 Yes.
01:17:02.680 I'll tell you what.
01:17:03.580 I mean, I've been investigating all of these, you know, charities as to who gives the most, you know, like, they get the most bang for the buck.
01:17:10.980 I mean, I almost cry when I look at these people, and then we are here talking about all of the BS for $600.
01:17:18.420 So, the main thing I wanted to tell you was on Joe Biden giving credit to the Trump administration without saying his name.
01:17:25.140 Yeah.
01:17:26.040 I don't think Joe Biden is telling Joe Biden what to say and when to do it, because if he can't even remember how to do that.
01:17:34.740 Right.
01:17:35.340 My guess is it is Princess Kuella, or Kamala, if you want to call her that, and her merry band of thieves that is running his mouth.
01:17:43.740 So, it's almost funny, if it wasn't for the damage it'll do to the next generation.
01:17:47.960 You know, I have a son who's in California, I've got for me.
01:17:51.840 He's coming around.
01:17:53.200 But I hope the younger generation will start to wake up and smell the coffee.
01:17:57.720 We had a caller yesterday on Sean Hannity.
01:18:00.040 There was a guest host that was doing that, who actually said out loud to the guest host.
01:18:06.400 I was like, I stopped my car, pulled over, I was listening to, is this really happening?
01:18:11.080 This guy is going on, it's over for you Republicans.
01:18:14.220 We've got control of the machines, we've got control of the process, we just don't give a damn how we do it.
01:18:19.100 After putting up with you guys for so far, we now think the ends justify the means.
01:18:23.280 That host was really at a loss of words that he was admitting that on the air.
01:18:27.640 And he said, damn you, we don't give a damn anymore.
01:18:30.600 Well, Don, I'm going to tell you, and I appreciate that call, that seems to be what this is.
01:18:36.960 It has become a case of who you're going to believe, me or your lion eyes.
01:18:42.480 And you know how we got to this point?
01:18:43.900 Because for the last four years, every day, the mainstream media, as many like to call them, I call them the legacy media.
01:18:55.520 This is the old media.
01:18:58.200 It is comprised of people who are leftists.
01:19:02.740 And that's okay.
01:19:03.580 Look, I don't begrudge anybody their political opinion.
01:19:06.820 I don't think that's my place.
01:19:08.900 But every single day, those folks told us what a terrible human being Donald Trump was.
01:19:13.360 And Russia, Russia, Russia.
01:19:14.460 Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump.
01:19:16.540 And you get to a point where you say, okay, could you at least let this man do his job?
01:19:23.280 He's been elected.
01:19:24.120 I know you hate the fact that he won.
01:19:26.220 You hate him.
01:19:27.380 You hate me.
01:19:28.300 You placed me in that basket of deplorables.
01:19:30.880 I got it.
01:19:31.900 Believe me.
01:19:32.980 You told me you hated me.
01:19:34.840 And you know what?
01:19:35.560 I take you at your word.
01:19:37.180 You got to learn to believe people.
01:19:39.020 For four years, four years, every single opportunity they had, they kicked him, they punched him, they kicked you, they punched me.
01:19:54.440 And that got to the point where we are now, where they can say, we don't care what you 70, 75, 80 million people had to say.
01:20:03.280 We changed the story.
01:20:05.160 We're writing the story.
01:20:07.080 And we've decided we're going to write you out of this chapter.
01:20:11.500 By the way, quickly, Don mentioned Tunnel to Towers, an amazing organization.
01:20:17.160 They are paying off the mortgages of police officers who are killed in the line of duty, murdered in the line of duty.
01:20:26.280 They just paid off the mortgage for somebody who I had tremendous admiration for,
01:20:31.760 Virginia State Police Special Agent Mike Walter.
01:20:35.960 He was murdered a couple of years ago while performing his duties.
01:20:40.600 And Tunnel to Towers came in and said to his widow and to his children,
01:20:45.560 we got your six.
01:20:47.220 We got you.
01:20:48.260 Just amazing.
01:20:51.360 888-727-BECK, 888-727-BECK.
01:20:55.360 Jeff Katz in today for Glenn.
01:20:57.360 This is the Glenn Beck Program.
01:20:58.920 It's the Glenn Beck Program.
01:21:07.060 Jeff Katz in today for Glenn.
01:21:10.900 A lot of stuff that is in the front window.
01:21:17.780 You know, I mean, here's what I mean.
01:21:19.020 I'm looking out my window.
01:21:20.620 I'm sitting here in what I call my broadcast hut.
01:21:22.500 And I'm looking out the window and I'm looking at the trees and they're sort of blowing in the breeze.
01:21:27.480 And there's beautiful grass out there.
01:21:30.200 And I got all sorts of errands I'm supposed to run starting at around, I don't know, another hour or so.
01:21:37.520 I've got to go get some glasses.
01:21:39.800 Heidi and I are going to go and spend the last of our flex spending account.
01:21:44.080 And we're acting like we won the lottery.
01:21:45.500 Oh, my gosh.
01:21:46.480 Look at that.
01:21:46.940 There was, I don't know, $200 left.
01:21:50.320 And then we said, well, that's our money.
01:21:52.560 Yep.
01:21:53.700 Well, why are we so excited that we're getting our money?
01:21:58.720 And by the way, we have to spend it, right?
01:22:00.660 If you've got the flex spending thing, you've got to spend it by the end of the year.
01:22:03.860 If it's your money, shouldn't you have the opportunity to spend it?
01:22:09.260 That's just my thinking.
01:22:11.140 So I'm looking out this window and I'm thinking, okay, well, I'm going to go do that.
01:22:13.740 I'm going to go spend $200 on a spare pair of glasses.
01:22:18.300 Like, I've already got my glasses.
01:22:20.680 Well, I'm at an age where I've got two pairs of glasses.
01:22:22.560 But that's besides the point.
01:22:24.520 You know, you do get to an age where every body part has their own doctor.
01:22:30.580 You know, when I was 20.
01:22:31.720 Well, I didn't go to the doctor when I was 20.
01:22:33.280 Well, as I was 30, if I didn't feel well or I was sick, I went to the doctor.
01:22:38.940 Head to toe.
01:22:39.620 Boom.
01:22:39.940 One doctor.
01:22:40.640 You're in.
01:22:41.000 You're out.
01:22:42.080 Man, you get to a certain age.
01:22:43.620 You got your knee doctor.
01:22:44.980 You got your hip doctor.
01:22:46.360 You got this doctor.
01:22:47.540 It's like, oh, goodness gracious.
01:22:49.600 And then you get excited.
01:22:51.560 You get excited.
01:22:52.280 Oh, I get to go spend my own money.
01:22:54.960 I wasn't asked how I wanted to spend it.
01:22:57.720 I was told I had to spend it.
01:23:00.520 It's kind of the same way with the $600 payment.
01:23:03.560 It's our money.
01:23:05.720 You get what I'm saying?
01:23:06.760 It's your money.
01:23:08.660 And it's not even all of you.
01:23:10.100 They gave you part of your money back.
01:23:12.620 Be happy you don't live in Maine.
01:23:14.340 Maine just instituted an $18 per hour minimum wage.
01:23:18.260 I know what you think about.
01:23:19.040 It's great.
01:23:20.360 Somebody can go make $1,800 or $18 an hour.
01:23:25.740 Problem is the business owners are saying, we can't afford that.
01:23:30.840 So we're going to close down and we're going to move.
01:23:35.620 Unintended consequences.
01:23:37.500 Tom is in New York.
01:23:38.640 Tom, welcome to the Glenn Beck Program.
01:23:42.000 Hey, Jeff.
01:23:42.720 Thanks for taking my call.
01:23:44.120 Thanks for making it.
01:23:44.960 Yeah, I live in upstate New York.
01:23:47.320 It's beautiful here, but we're under the same beautiful power-grabbing governors.
01:23:52.840 And, I mean, there's so much people don't know.
01:23:55.600 I'm so glad.
01:23:57.460 I don't know.
01:23:58.240 I sure hope that Trump stays in office.
01:23:59.960 But if he doesn't, there's a possibility that we may actually lose our governor to be attorney general, which is really scary.
01:24:07.740 It's great for New York.
01:24:09.400 But in the big picture, it's not.
01:24:11.340 But, I mean, if you go back, you look at the Moreland Commission.
01:24:15.040 I mean, they got Cuomo's right-hand man, who Cuomo, you know, he knows everything.
01:24:21.240 And then he closed down the Moreland Commission.
01:24:23.860 If Trump would do something like that, it'd be crazy.
01:24:26.520 And then, you know, with all this, the handling of the COVID, he didn't use the Red Cross ship.
01:24:32.140 He didn't use the Javits Center.
01:24:33.800 He sent patients to nursing homes.
01:24:35.440 He sent patients up to Albany to spread this.
01:24:38.500 And then, as a kicker, for all the people that went down and volunteered to work in the city, he taxed them at the New York City raids.
01:24:46.060 I mean, what a...
01:24:47.600 Yeah.
01:24:48.160 No, I don't say it.
01:24:49.260 We got it.
01:24:50.120 I got it.
01:24:50.840 Tom, it's outrageous.
01:24:52.300 It is absolutely outrageous.
01:24:53.620 And who thinks a Governor Cuomo becoming an Attorney General Cuomo is going to look into, I don't know, election fraud?
01:25:03.180 Hmm, I don't think so.
01:25:05.160 The goings-on of the Biden family?
01:25:09.460 I did ask yesterday, is it too early to refer to Team Biden as La Josa Nostra?
01:25:17.820 Is that pushing?
01:25:18.620 It might be pushing it.
01:25:19.560 If it's pushing it, you let me know.
01:25:22.400 Did you ever watch the stand?
01:25:23.320 It's a brand...
01:25:23.920 Well, it was a Stephen King book.
01:25:26.160 So my wife comes to me the other day.
01:25:27.640 She says, you know, we need a show we can watch together.
01:25:30.000 Oh, okay.
01:25:32.180 How about the stand?
01:25:33.860 I said, isn't that written by Stephen King?
01:25:35.360 Yeah.
01:25:35.640 I said, I don't like it.
01:25:37.220 Did you read the book?
01:25:38.380 Nope.
01:25:38.980 Well, how do you know you don't like it?
01:25:40.040 Because I don't like anything that he writes.
01:25:42.020 I read or tried to read one or two of his books.
01:25:45.420 I just didn't like his style.
01:25:46.740 Now, that's just me.
01:25:47.520 I know there are millions and millions and millions of people who love his stuff.
01:25:50.320 And that's great.
01:25:51.040 I just didn't like it.
01:25:52.340 Oh, no.
01:25:53.500 We should watch it.
01:25:54.740 Okay.
01:25:56.280 So I watch the first episode and say, you know, it's not bad.
01:25:59.940 Yeah, I'm in for the second one.
01:26:01.640 And then I come across the story.
01:26:03.060 Apparently, there's a character.
01:26:04.260 And I guess it's a character that pops up later in the series.
01:26:08.000 And the character is deaf.
01:26:11.120 Well, the actor playing that character is not deaf.
01:26:14.740 And now there are some people outraged that a deaf actor was not hired to play the deaf character.
01:26:23.520 Now, I understand.
01:26:25.340 I told you, you know, father of a special needs little girl.
01:26:29.740 I want every human being to have every opportunity possible.
01:26:35.120 But isn't the very nature of acting to pretend to be someone you're not?
01:26:42.620 Isn't the essence of whatever that actor is doing pretending to be someone he's not?
01:26:49.980 Why would anybody be outraged by that?
01:26:54.540 I don't quite get that.
01:26:57.700 888-727-BECK.
01:26:59.640 888-727-BECK.
01:27:01.440 Jeff Katz in today for Glenn.
01:27:03.080 It is the Glenn Beck Program.
01:27:09.040 It is the Glenn Beck Program.
01:27:11.040 Jeff Katz in today for Glenn.
01:27:13.780 Thrilled to be here.
01:27:15.080 888-727-BECK.
01:27:16.820 888-727-BECK.
01:27:20.240 The Squad.
01:27:22.680 You know the Squad, right?
01:27:24.380 The uber-leftist, uber-progressive members of the House, AOC, and some of the other far, far, far-left folks.
01:27:36.840 Look, they're not exactly people that I would find myself in agreement with on a regular basis.
01:27:41.420 And I'm going to go out on a limb here and say probably not your way of thinking either.
01:27:45.620 This measure that they're putting forward should be something that everyone agrees on.
01:27:56.740 Now, I know it sounds bizarre.
01:27:57.700 Wait a minute, Jeff.
01:27:58.860 They're so far left.
01:27:59.920 No, I'm telling you.
01:28:00.820 They have decided that in an effort to help people not get the dreaded coronavirus,
01:28:11.640 that more criminals, more prisoners must be released.
01:28:16.500 But not all prisoners.
01:28:18.320 No, that would be silly.
01:28:20.140 Come on.
01:28:20.660 You wouldn't want to release all prisoners.
01:28:23.040 Well, maybe you would.
01:28:23.900 Maybe that's what your real plan is.
01:28:25.100 But at least not publicly.
01:28:26.920 You don't want to say it.
01:28:28.160 So, they have put forward a bill.
01:28:32.740 They've introduced a bill that will release the obese.
01:28:40.480 Those who can fly their fat flag should be released from prison.
01:28:47.140 Any obese prisoner.
01:28:51.200 And it doesn't matter what the crime is.
01:28:53.280 Rapists, serial killers, child molesters.
01:28:58.280 It doesn't matter.
01:29:00.920 The measure is called, because they always come up with one of these goofy names, right?
01:29:05.840 The Dismantle Mass Incarceration for Public Health Act.
01:29:10.420 By the way, is that mass that you're referring to?
01:29:13.180 The body mass index?
01:29:15.640 Is that the BMI?
01:29:17.440 We're just letting the fat people out, Jeff.
01:29:19.980 And you know they're not going to run that fast.
01:29:22.760 Because look at you.
01:29:24.240 You're not running that fast.
01:29:27.120 Wow.
01:29:28.060 And it would require, not a suggestion, not a, hey, you got any fat prisoners?
01:29:34.720 Ah, cut them loose.
01:29:35.880 It would require states and localities to release, quote, certain individuals from jails and prisons.
01:29:46.620 Jails as well.
01:29:48.940 Jail is where you go before you get to go to prison.
01:29:52.300 It's like a graduation ceremony.
01:29:54.260 Okay.
01:29:55.360 Yeah.
01:29:56.240 Committed a crime.
01:29:57.100 We're locking you up.
01:29:57.780 It's only going to be for a period of time until you go before the magistrate.
01:30:02.160 You go before the judge.
01:30:03.280 He set some sort of bail, and then you're off to the races.
01:30:06.200 Okay.
01:30:06.940 Or you've got like a minimal sentence, 30 days, 90 days.
01:30:10.580 I don't know.
01:30:10.900 Maybe some places it's a year.
01:30:13.380 As well as prison, where you go after you are officially a bad person.
01:30:19.780 So, exactly how many people would be released?
01:30:28.180 Anyone with a body mass index of 30 or above.
01:30:32.660 So, let's say you're 5'6".
01:30:34.380 You weigh 187 pounds.
01:30:37.300 Boom.
01:30:37.860 Get out of jail.
01:30:38.660 Free card.
01:30:39.400 How about a mugger?
01:30:40.380 You're 5'8".
01:30:41.200 You weigh 200 pounds.
01:30:42.600 There you go.
01:30:44.340 6'2", 225 pounds.
01:30:47.340 You're done.
01:30:48.740 And that, it doesn't matter if you are a muscular person at that weight.
01:30:56.140 I mean, think about it.
01:30:57.000 How many professional athletes would be 6'1", 6'2", 220, 240?
01:31:02.600 Hardly obese.
01:31:07.240 But, under this law, if it became law, they would be considered obese.
01:31:12.820 They'd get the kid out of jail.
01:31:14.260 Free card.
01:31:14.620 Now, I think somehow you could, you got to put that together with some sort of buffet.
01:31:20.100 You know, you got out of jail because you're grossly overweight.
01:31:23.420 And you got to maintain that weight because that was the whole reason you got out of jail or you got out of prison.
01:31:29.100 I don't know.
01:31:29.860 Maybe it's free donuts.
01:31:30.920 Oh, free donuts.
01:31:32.660 That reminds me.
01:31:33.260 I got to go to Wawa today.
01:31:34.980 Do you have Wawa where you are?
01:31:36.260 Love Wawa.
01:31:37.520 You know, when you grow up in Philadelphia, Wawa is the quickie store.
01:31:42.600 You know, the convenience store.
01:31:44.820 And I hate to say it because my friends in New England will be absolutely appalled.
01:31:48.960 But the coffee at Wawa, actually better than Dunkin' Donuts.
01:31:52.820 Shh.
01:31:53.120 I didn't say that.
01:31:55.440 But every Tuesday, Wawa gives you free coffee.
01:31:58.400 And every single solitary week, I get into an argument with my wife.
01:32:04.420 Because we'll go to Wawa to get our free coffee.
01:32:08.160 I get the extra large coffee.
01:32:10.540 Why?
01:32:11.060 Because it's free.
01:32:13.300 My wife, well, I don't know.
01:32:16.100 I was thinking about a medium.
01:32:18.260 Why would you get a medium?
01:32:19.500 Well, I'm a little more thirsty than a small, but I don't want a large.
01:32:23.380 What do you mean you don't want it?
01:32:24.960 Well, I don't think I could drink at all.
01:32:26.720 It's free.
01:32:28.540 Yeah, but I can't drink.
01:32:29.520 Well, give it to me.
01:32:31.400 Yeah, but it's for me.
01:32:32.360 It's a free coffee for me.
01:32:33.500 It's not free.
01:32:34.040 I got my free coffee.
01:32:35.540 Mine is the extra large.
01:32:36.560 If I could drive a tanker truck up to Wawa and say, I'm here for my free, any size free coffee, that's what I would do.
01:32:47.420 Who gets into an argument?
01:32:49.120 Well, I know it's free, but I don't, you know, it's too big.
01:32:51.820 Oh, my gosh.
01:32:52.860 So, anyway, so that's part of my, it's one of my agenda items for today.
01:33:00.120 888-727-BECK, 888-727-BECK.
01:33:03.200 Reminder to you, and I am so serious about this.
01:33:06.120 If you are looking to be aware, and obviously you're part of this program, you want to be aware,
01:33:11.320 glennbeck.com and theblaze.com are must, must, must visit websites every single day, multiple times a day.
01:33:21.400 Because the legacy media is not going to give it to you.
01:33:23.580 The legacy social media is not going to give it to you.
01:33:26.340 It is, it is a bizarre time in which we live.
01:33:32.380 Cindy is in Ohio.
01:33:33.780 Hey, Cindy, welcome to the Glenn Beck Program.
01:33:36.340 Hi.
01:33:37.220 Hi, Jeff.
01:33:38.060 How are you?
01:33:39.100 I am fine, thank you.
01:33:41.360 Merry Christmas to you and yours.
01:33:43.500 Thank you.
01:33:43.940 Jeff, I was just calling because I am so incensed at this, quote, relief package.
01:33:51.560 My patriotism, my loyalty, my soul, and my feeling for my country, and my freedom for my defense of the Constitution, and for my president, Donald J. Trump.
01:34:06.260 None of those are for sale for $600.
01:34:09.760 How about $605, Cindy?
01:34:11.260 If I could get you $605, what are you willing to give up?
01:34:16.920 I'm not willing to give up anything, Jeff.
01:34:19.220 And I have been calling my legislatures here in Ohio.
01:34:22.800 Governor DeWine is my governor also, and he knows me on a first-name basis.
01:34:27.380 Uh-oh.
01:34:27.900 I am so, oh, yes.
01:34:30.180 I try not to swear.
01:34:33.400 I appreciate that.
01:34:34.780 Thank you.
01:34:35.240 Yeah, and I am a Christian.
01:34:38.100 I do not believe in violence, but I do believe there is a time when a country and a people must defend that country and themselves.
01:34:47.100 I want Donald Trump to keep fighting.
01:34:50.880 I want transparency in this election.
01:34:53.520 I want to hear from everyone of the whistleblowers.
01:34:57.900 And I want this taken care of.
01:35:00.300 And all my friends, I have told them, I am geriatric, but I, you know, I get around pretty well.
01:35:06.160 And they don't want to see a bunch of my old lady friends and myself with our canes, you know, coming for them in a mob.
01:35:17.540 And I just, I'm so grateful for people like you.
01:35:21.240 And I just, I wish Donald Trump would veto this bill.
01:35:26.360 I hear you, Cindy.
01:35:27.340 You know, I, I hear you, listen, I, I appreciate that so much.
01:35:31.220 And I, I wish you and yours a Merry Christmas.
01:35:33.500 I got this image now of the mob of angry older women coming after folks with canes.
01:35:41.920 But how many people are at that point?
01:35:43.500 I know, I, look, I, I look to January the 6th, right?
01:35:47.980 January the 6th is when these electoral college votes are presented to Congress.
01:35:53.980 And I keep reading, and again, I'm trying to make heads or tails out of this.
01:36:00.640 And some of it is, you've got to be a constitutional scholar to really understand it.
01:36:05.520 And I'm not.
01:36:06.700 But it seems to me, you need one member of Congress.
01:36:10.300 And it seems like we've got him, right?
01:36:11.740 Congressman Mo Brooks from Alabama.
01:36:13.180 And you need one member of the United States Senate.
01:36:17.160 Well, Mitch McConnell is already apparently telling the folks in his caucus, I don't want any mess.
01:36:24.000 It's just, nope, nope, nope.
01:36:26.400 Nobody joined with, uh, with that Brooks character.
01:36:29.180 We're putting this through, fast tracking it.
01:36:31.620 Biden's the guy.
01:36:32.660 I've known him for 50 years.
01:36:34.180 Good guy.
01:36:34.760 We, we drink scotch together.
01:36:36.620 You know, how bad a guy could he be?
01:36:40.260 Well, I don't know.
01:36:41.940 I, I think pretty bad.
01:36:45.060 I think there's, there's a lot of bad ideas that have been jammed into his briefing book.
01:36:54.660 And I think, you know, I, I, I think about people who go out every day and actually make a difference.
01:37:02.840 You know, it's weird.
01:37:04.220 Here I am.
01:37:05.080 I'm looking at four big cups.
01:37:09.260 I'll post this up on my, uh, my Facebook page a little bit later.
01:37:13.260 But I've got my four cups from, from my friends at Mission Barbecue.
01:37:17.300 Right?
01:37:17.500 One of my favorite places.
01:37:18.340 They're all over the country.
01:37:20.140 Founded after 9-11.
01:37:22.000 Every day at noon, they play the national anthem, which I just love.
01:37:25.580 I try and get there at noon.
01:37:28.640 But I have a white cup because that money goes to support wreaths across America.
01:37:34.260 I've got a black cup that goes to support the USO.
01:37:38.940 I've got a red cup that is designed to help firefighters.
01:37:43.600 And I got the blue cup, which is really, you know, near and dear to my heart because that
01:37:47.800 is helping police officers.
01:37:52.060 Right?
01:37:52.620 Everyone I just mentioned goes out there every single day doing the right thing.
01:37:56.620 And how many of those folks know that they're coming home?
01:38:00.880 We've got police officers all over America under attack.
01:38:05.600 Buy them that coffee, will you?
01:38:07.160 Or if you're in Mission Barbecue, because now it is the blue cup season, as we get ready
01:38:12.280 for National Law Enforcement Day, seriously, buy them a big drink.
01:38:17.200 Make a difference.
01:38:18.280 You're going to start seeing billboards around America, too.
01:38:20.680 Did you know that?
01:38:21.240 The Chesterfield County Police Department here in Virginia, the chief down there, his
01:38:27.440 name, Jeffrey Katz.
01:38:29.200 So, you know, I love him.
01:38:30.060 I love him already.
01:38:31.080 Jeff Katz, Chief Jeff Katz.
01:38:32.440 But he put together a campaign of videos thanking police officers.
01:38:38.820 So you think, oh, that's great.
01:38:39.920 You're thanking the cops in Chesterfield County where you are.
01:38:42.840 He said, no.
01:38:43.160 We've arranged with some billboard companies to donate billboard space.
01:38:48.820 These thank yous are going up in cities all across America.
01:38:54.380 Be on the lookout for them, will you?
01:38:57.360 888-727-BECK, 888-727-BECK.
01:39:00.860 If you want to hit me up on, I mentioned Facebook, Radio Katz over there, or email me.
01:39:06.740 I'm always happy to take a look at that.
01:39:08.240 But go to my website, thejeffkatzshow.com, and just fill out that contact form, thejeffkatzshow.com.
01:39:15.140 It is Jeff Katz.
01:39:16.440 Happy.
01:39:17.060 So I'll get out to be filling in for Glenn today.
01:39:19.440 This is the Glenn Beck Program.
01:39:21.680 It is the Glenn Beck Program.
01:39:23.560 Jeff Katz sitting in for Glenn today.
01:39:28.120 We've got more lockdowns coming.
01:39:31.940 That's what we keep hearing.
01:39:32.920 The threats are out there.
01:39:34.580 My gosh.
01:39:36.260 Seems to get worse and worse every single day.
01:39:37.680 We're not going to let you out of your house.
01:39:39.820 There is going to come a point where good, decent people say, yeah, I don't know.
01:39:48.020 I'd like to see more numbers, wouldn't you?
01:39:50.400 I'd like to go back to the first issue, which was when we were told we have to flatten the curve.
01:39:57.260 It's going to take two weeks, Jeff.
01:39:59.180 Everybody can do two weeks.
01:40:00.620 It's not a big deal.
01:40:01.980 Gotcha.
01:40:03.200 Government was running it.
01:40:04.380 I figured, all right, the two weeks will be three, four, five weeks.
01:40:07.680 But then we'll be done.
01:40:09.340 Now what are we looking at?
01:40:11.280 I got no idea.
01:40:12.820 Diane is down in Florida.
01:40:14.280 Maybe she's got a handle on it.
01:40:15.440 Hey, Diane, welcome to the Glenn Beck Program.
01:40:18.760 Well, hello.
01:40:19.820 Thank you.
01:40:20.760 Thank you.
01:40:21.160 Yeah, about this COVID thing.
01:40:23.720 How do we know it's not just another strain of a really bad flu?
01:40:28.720 And maybe they're combining the numbers for the flu and COVID.
01:40:33.180 Well, they are.
01:40:34.440 That's what, Diane, I asked that very question.
01:40:37.760 I said, how come we're not hearing about the flu this year, right?
01:40:42.060 Every year you hear, oh my gosh, the flu is bad or the flu is good.
01:40:44.700 And one of my doctor friends said, Jeff, I'm looking at this source of information, CDC, apparently, that has something that they called the PIC.
01:40:57.000 And that was the number combining pneumonia, influenza, and COVID.
01:41:02.860 So that didn't make any sense to me either.
01:41:06.540 Nope.
01:41:07.120 This is ridiculous.
01:41:08.160 And I'm actually from Minnesota, like the other guy that called, but he's really got an accent.
01:41:14.340 He's got the don't you know Fargo accent.
01:41:19.140 Get in your car and go home.
01:41:21.480 We got something to feed into that wood chipper first, Diane.
01:41:25.000 That's not going to be a pretty thing.
01:41:27.700 I appreciate the call.
01:41:30.220 Well, Vicki is in Colorado.
01:41:32.680 Hey, Vicki, welcome to the Glenn Beck program.
01:41:36.560 Well, thank you, Jeff, for taking my call.
01:41:39.280 How are you doing?
01:41:40.420 I'm doing well.
01:41:41.240 Thank you.
01:41:43.180 Good.
01:41:43.740 I have a few grievances I wanted to speak with about.
01:41:47.860 Now, you know, it's not festivus yet, but okay.
01:41:51.740 Okay.
01:41:52.980 I'm in agreement with the last caller before the last Cindy.
01:41:57.720 I'm a United States citizen.
01:41:59.880 So not only do I call my reps in Colorado, but I'm calling all reps and senators.
01:42:07.260 Right.
01:42:08.200 Because the election did affect me.
01:42:11.060 Of course.
01:42:11.540 Now, many of them.
01:42:12.660 I'm going to tell you a secret.
01:42:15.380 A lot of them will not answer their phone.
01:42:18.120 They'll see me the message and they'll get back with you, which they never do.
01:42:22.800 Yeah.
01:42:23.320 But I have to say, Governor Bennett of Colorado has been very good.
01:42:28.000 Rand Paul, Cruz and Gosart.
01:42:31.080 Yeah.
01:42:31.400 Well, fair enough.
01:42:32.920 I am incensed.
01:42:34.200 I hear you, Vicki.
01:42:35.380 I hate to do it.
01:42:36.100 I've got to run here.
01:42:37.460 But given that tomorrow is festivus, the airing of the grievances would be purely appropriate.
01:42:46.720 Hopefully we get the chance to talk about it.
01:42:48.660 Jeff Katz filling in for Glenn.
01:42:50.280 And this is the Glenn Beck Program.
01:42:58.180 This is the Glenn Beck Program.
