00:00:52.000 This is the Glenn Beck Program.

00:01:00.000 I've been caught again.

00:01:01.000 Busted once again.

00:01:03.000 And, you know, these things keep getting shorter and shorter in time span.

00:01:09.000 That's just record.

00:01:11.000 I think this last one here, just yesterday, record time.

00:01:17.000 I mean, I mean, we're talking like minutes, maybe hours.

00:01:22.000 As far as the shortest hoax on record now in the in the in the scheme of things.

00:01:28.000 Well, we'll talk about the unveil it and tell you what the truth is about the latest today and so much more.

00:01:34.000 Man, we have a special program ready for you today.

00:01:38.000 It's Justin Barkley in for Glenn today on the Christmas Eve edition of the Glenn Beck Program.

00:01:42.000 We're back right after this.

00:01:45.000 The older I get, the more I think about trust.

00:01:53.000 I think about the people in my life who have my trust and earned my trust.

00:01:57.000 And the trust that I have placed in some people who I later learned abused that trust.

00:02:02.000 I know we're alike in that way.

00:02:04.000 We don't trust a lot of people anymore.

00:02:05.000 It's like we're all Ronald Reagan trust, but always verify to make sure we're not making a mistake.

00:02:10.000 I find it a little exhausting, quite honestly.

00:02:13.000 And that's why I started real estate agents.

00:02:15.000 I trust.com.

00:02:16.000 I didn't have good experiences with buying and selling my homes.

00:02:19.000 So we built real estate agents.

00:02:20.000 I trust to introduce you to one of the thousands of agents all over the country that we work with that we have verified that they will help you have the most successful and good real estate transaction possible.

00:02:33.000 Our network agents share our sensibilities, have great track records, are good and decent people, and I trust them to help you with your real estate needs.

00:02:42.000 So whether you're moving across town or across the country, visit realestateagentsitrust.com.

00:02:47.000 The name says it all, realestateagentsitrust.com.

00:02:51.000 This may have set a brand new world record.

00:03:01.000 Another day, another hoax.

00:03:06.000 And by the way, this may have been exactly what he was talking about when President Trump said,

00:03:10.000 Yeah, it's another hoax.

00:03:12.000 Well, let me get into that.

00:03:13.000 First of all, welcome into the Glenn Beck Program on a very Merry Christmas.

00:03:17.000 I've had the opportunity to and the honor, really, to fill in for Glenn, and particularly Christmas Eve.

00:03:22.000 I think it's every Christmas Eve since about 2019.

00:03:25.000 And it holds a special place in my heart.

00:03:29.000 In fact, I'll tell you a little bit more about that as the show goes on.

00:03:33.000 Like I said, we have special guests lined up for the special appearance by the big man himself.

00:03:38.000 So I'll just, I'll just, I'll just leave it at that.

00:03:42.000 Coming up a little bit later on in the program, if you can, if you can make sure you hang with.

00:03:46.000 Now, listen, I don't expect you to be here through the entire thing.

00:03:49.000 In fact, some of you may say, well, this isn't Glenn.

00:03:52.000 Let me just turn this.

00:03:53.000 So that's okay.

00:03:54.000 You do what you got to do today.

00:03:55.000 It's a lot going on.

00:03:57.000 But take us with you, if you will.

00:03:58.000 You know, you're cooking up in the kitchen, making things for later tonight or tomorrow.

00:04:03.000 Or maybe you're, you're still trying to finish the last minute.

00:04:07.000 I think I've got one more thing that I want to get.

00:04:10.000 I'm just sort of stuck on that.

00:04:14.000 And I'm trying to figure that all out.

00:04:17.000 But most of it, I think I've got done.

00:04:19.000 And then the wrapping.

00:04:20.000 I think this might be a record for us at the Barkley household.

00:04:24.000 But I think we've got it all worked out and all ready to go.

00:04:27.000 So no matter what you're doing today, we'd love to have you with you.

00:04:30.000 I'm Justin Barkley.

00:04:31.000 And I do a show weekday mornings on News Radio Wood 1300 and 106.9 FM in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

00:04:39.000 And as I said, it is an honor and a pleasure to be here with you on Christmas Eve.

00:04:45.000 That being said, I noted on the day after Thanksgiving on Black Friday, as it's called Beck Friday, noted that, look, the news never stops.

00:04:53.000 And this is something that I have seen in the last several years, particularly ramping up even more so than ever before.

00:05:01.000 It used to be you could come in into the year.

00:05:05.000 We do a show with, you know, we'd have some.

00:05:08.000 Hey, here's the best of the year.

00:05:10.000 Here's what happened in 2025.

00:05:12.000 And there's some predictions.

00:05:13.000 Folks are looking forward to 2026.

00:05:15.000 And this is what's coming up.

00:05:17.000 But, you know, the news never stops.

00:05:18.000 And unfortunately, we found that out altogether too well on Black Friday.

00:05:23.000 The horrific events where the two National Guard members were attacked, one of them killed in cold blood.

00:05:30.000 And then the miracle that's happening right now, Christmas miracle, the recovery of the second.

00:05:35.000 That story center stage that day.

00:05:38.000 And it's similar on a day like today.

00:05:42.000 Normally, you would, like I said, expect or hope there wouldn't be too much.

00:05:46.000 And we could focus on what matters most.

00:05:48.000 Now, we'll be doing some of that today, too.

00:05:51.000 But I wanted to get into the latest hoax that has collapsed because I think it's indication of where we're going.

00:05:57.000 Certainly where we are in the days ahead.

00:06:00.000 This latest is the Epstein files released.

00:06:05.000 Now, you know, we've been this has been something president has been on about.

00:06:10.000 And I think a lot of folks had taken issue with with some of it.

00:06:15.000 In fact, it was a big but it was a big reason.

00:06:18.000 Many people voted for him.

00:06:20.000 It's not just Epstein in the case itself, but it is it really more than anything else is the idea that we would finally get down to transparency.

00:06:29.000 We don't trust government.

00:06:32.000 Many of us never have.

00:06:33.000 Some of some of us have really been jolted awake really in the last four or five years by everything that we've seen.

00:06:42.000 And it's not just government.

00:06:43.000 It's like every area, every aspect, every institution, every bit of anything that that we ever put our trust in our faith in.

00:06:54.000 And obviously now we see that was a foolish thing to do.

00:07:00.000 Very unwise.

00:07:01.000 Nevertheless, we're awake and many more, I think our people are waking up every day.

00:07:05.000 So this piece, this story is bigger than just Jeffrey Epstein and the horrific things that he is accused of.

00:07:12.000 And it's not just Epstein.

00:07:13.000 It's the people around him.

00:07:15.000 It's the system itself.

00:07:17.000 And I don't have to tell you, no, I'm preaching to the choir here.

00:07:20.000 That's why many people, again, want transparency.

00:07:24.000 Many people, again, want answers.

00:07:26.000 And in the find out era that we're finally in, smack dab squarely sitting in, in the find out era that we're in today, we want accountability.

00:07:39.000 They've fooled around and now we want these people to find out.

00:07:46.000 That's, that's where we are.

00:07:48.000 And if you were feeling that way, I totally understand it.

00:07:52.000 In fact, I'm one of those people.

00:07:55.000 I, I want, I want accountability.

00:08:01.000 Drain the swamp.

00:08:02.000 Drain the swamp.

00:08:03.000 When are the arrests going to start?

00:08:05.000 Well, some of them already have.

00:08:06.000 In fact, you, you, we will talk a little bit about more about that throughout the program.

00:08:12.000 But some of that we've already started to see.

00:08:14.000 And I think those are, those are good things.

00:08:15.000 But this Epstein story, this is one that just won't quit.

00:08:18.000 It won't die.

00:08:19.000 And it, it was to the consternation of President Trump at one point where he made that point.

00:08:23.000 Well, it's a hoax.

00:08:25.000 Democrats and the media, but I repeat myself, took that ran with it.

00:08:29.000 I think even some folks on the right who said, but wait, wait, wait a minute.

00:08:33.000 No, it's not.

00:08:34.000 This is, we need answers on this.

00:08:36.000 And, and rightfully so some folks, but I think they misunderstood what he was saying.

00:08:40.000 What he was saying was, yeah, the story's real. 0.98

00:08:42.000 Jeffrey Epstein is a sicko and the people around him and the things they were doing. 0.98

00:08:47.000 Yeah. 0.97

00:08:48.000 All of that, all of that needs to be, I think completely and properly gone through.

00:08:54.000 But at the same time, what he was saying is the way the Democrats and the way the mainstream media are going to use it is a hoax.

00:09:04.000 In fact, just yesterday, the latest cash, the drop of details, like I said, the latest hoax in record time was, was completely, well, the smoke lifted and completely unveiled.

00:09:19.000 The FBI even had to come out.

00:09:23.000 The DOJ even had to come out.

00:09:25.000 And as I saw, in fact, it's still circulating on a lot of these, these, these websites right now.

00:09:31.000 Folks, I don't know how to tell some of these people that bring it up or, or maybe are commenting, chatting about it.

00:09:39.000 A lot of this is sort of a, I guess, a cognitive bias, really, that they're seeing this story and they go, see, I told you, I told you Trump was in it.

00:09:51.000 I told you.

00:09:53.000 A lot of these people have TDS anyway.

00:09:55.000 You're not ever going to convince them again.

00:09:57.000 You know, we'll, we'll, we'll continue to try, do our best to wake people up.

00:10:01.000 Some of them, you just can't wake up.

00:10:03.000 At the end of the day, this is another one of those hoaxes.

00:10:10.000 And the, the FBI and the DOJ had to say, look, there's a lot of reasons why these stories haven't become public and the files haven't been public previously.

00:10:18.000 Um, now some of it, I think, yeah, you're, you're probably right.

00:10:22.000 I, I think to protect a lot of people that, uh, you know, the kind of high muckety muck.

00:10:29.000 You were talking about the elite, the folks who've been, uh, they've been a part of all this, but also there's a lot of big, because of this story and just like anything else.

00:10:42.000 Well, let me give you a good example.

00:10:44.000 What this is Bigfoot.

00:10:45.000 Look, I don't know if you're in the Bigfoot and, uh, you remember Art Bell, you know, he's a guy that used to dig into Bigfoot and, uh, UFOs and all of that.

00:10:56.000 All of that, although it's interesting to listen to, but, uh, you go too far down that rabbit hole, you can lose your mind.

00:11:04.000 And I think that's what's happening here with some people because everywhere they look, everywhere they turn is another Bigfoot.

00:11:09.000 Everywhere they look and everywhere they turn is another situation where they're seeing, uh, this, this, this thing pop up, uh, and again, a little bit more credibility than what it should be.

00:11:22.000 In not saying that these things didn't happen, not saying that some of these people are very guilty and responsible, but we still, some of us just don't know.

00:11:30.000 In fact, when you start to kind of pour through the documents and the details that have come out, turns out a lot of this stuff that's coming out now was completely bunk and baloney.

00:11:43.000 And this latest talks is a good example of it.

00:11:46.000 So there's a letter and I'll give you the details on this, but there is a letter that apparently, supposedly Jeffrey Epstein wrote.

00:11:56.000 Now when he wrote it and when it came out is essentially what was in it is, it really is where the sort of the sticky nature of all this, uh, comes out, but I'll just tell you, uh, the hoax, the way this played out as mainstream media, uh, and the Democrats both push this, uh, and heavy yesterday, just in time for Christmas.

00:12:25.000 So that you and I could be talking about it.

00:12:27.400 Um, but the good news is the hoax has collapsed on its own weight in, in record time.

00:12:34.500 I'm going to tell you exactly what was in the letter and why it's bunk.

00:12:38.320 So that when you sit together with your Turkey, your ham, your, your roast, whatever it might be, uh, your, your seafood feast, whatever it might be, uh, around the table for Christmas, you can, you can actually speak on this and, and do it justice.

00:12:55.000 So coming up in just a moment, we'll, we'll give you a chance to be able to hear the details of this, but first a quick break.

00:13:00.700 And we're back right after this, Justin Barkley today, filling in for Glenn on the Glenn Beck program.

00:13:05.900 Every so often something happens that reminds us just how fragile our freedoms are, and we can't afford to take our rights for granted.

00:13:14.100 We have to draw the line in the sand and the good people at Patriot Mobile have been doing that now for more than 12 years.

00:13:19.760 The truth is there's only one provider that boldly stands in the gap for Americans who believe freedom is actually worth fighting for.

00:13:26.520 And that's Patriot Mobile.

00:13:27.460 Not only are they leading the red economy, they're also outpacing the competition in technology.

00:13:32.880 Patriot Mobile is one of the only carriers now offering premium access to all three major U.S. networks, giving you nationwide coverage and service you can count on.

00:13:41.880 They also offer unlimited data plans, mobile hotspots, and international roaming, internet backup, and so much more.

00:13:47.740 Switching is easier than ever.

00:13:49.320 You can activate in minutes from your home or office.

00:13:51.460 Keep your number, keep your phone, or upgrade.

00:13:53.040 So what are you waiting for?

00:13:54.260 Make the simple choice to support Patriot Mobile and help them do good.

00:13:57.760 Take a stand today.

00:13:58.520 Go to PatriotMobile.com slash Beck or call 972-PATRIOT and use the promo code Beck for a free month of service.

00:14:03.800 It's PatriotMobile.com slash Beck.

00:14:05.980 972-PATRIOT.

00:14:07.060 And make the switch today.

00:14:18.400 All right, so what was in this latest talk?

00:14:21.700 Folks, what was in the letter, apparently, again, the circumstances of this, Jeffrey Epstein sent a letter to Larry Nassar.

00:14:29.060 Now, I'm in Michigan, so I'm very familiar with this case, the Larry Nassar case.

00:14:34.700 And horrific, this guy.

00:14:37.260 You talk about a piece of work.

00:14:38.940 And, you know, he was a guy that was involved with Michigan State University and the athletic.

00:14:44.440 Also, I think, Olympics.

00:14:47.560 Anyway, he was somebody that had abused athletes and just sick things that the guy did.

00:14:56.340 So, when you see this, obviously, the click-baity sort of headlines around it all, it, no doubt, this one was one that was going to pick up steam.

00:15:11.140 And I'm sure it did exactly what it was intended to do.

00:15:15.480 So, again, the circumstances are supposedly Jeffrey Epstein sends a letter to Larry Nassar.

00:15:30.020 And, again, this is the circumstance.

00:15:33.840 I'm going to read to you what it says.

00:15:35.880 And, again, it sounds sick.

00:15:38.160 But I also hear things inside of it that I think that are kind of interesting as well.

00:15:44.100 But he says things in it that I think it'll become obvious why it's been such a story.

00:15:52.280 Dear L.N., as you know, and it's a handwritten note, by the way.

00:15:56.980 As you know, man, or now, I'm not sure.

00:16:02.400 Maybe it's as you know by now.

00:16:03.620 I have taken the short route, quote-unquote, home.

00:16:09.440 Good luck, exclamation point.

00:16:13.240 We shared one thing, dot, dot, dot, our love and caring for young ladies and the hope they'd reach their full potential.

00:16:25.600 That's just sick.

00:16:27.720 Our president also shares our love of young, nubile girls. 0.94

00:16:33.620 When a young beauty walked by, he loved to, I won't say this, all of this, but, quote-unquote, grab, you know what?

00:16:45.300 Whereas we ended up snatching grub in the mess halls of the system.

00:16:53.940 Life is unfair.

00:16:56.480 Yours, Jay Epstein.

00:16:59.020 Now, where do we start?

00:17:06.820 On the surface of it, and by the way, this is why I talked about this, and Glenn has talked at length about it.

00:17:14.220 But last time I was here with you, we talked about this on Beck Friday, on Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving.

00:17:21.160 I said to you, and this is exactly it.

00:17:24.100 There will come a time.

00:17:27.260 You're not going to know the difference between lie and the truth and all these things, and AI and all of the different and more skillful ways they have of lying to us every day.

00:17:40.440 And memes and the clickbait, all of it.

00:17:42.520 But, you know, in fact, part of this document dump release in the news relating to it, there was a video.

00:17:49.760 And I don't know for sure, because, again, how do you know?

00:17:52.280 But from what I understand, there was a video that came out.

00:17:55.620 Supposedly it was a video camera that was located in Epstein's cell, and it shows the last few minutes of him in trying to attempt to do himself in.

00:18:04.040 And this video was floating around, and apparently folks have come out discredited and said that's not real.

00:18:12.380 Probably an AI recreation.

00:18:14.780 Very similar in this situation.

00:18:16.480 When we move further into the future, we're going to need discernment.

00:18:21.260 We're going to need wisdom.

00:18:23.960 We're going to need sort of a higher power.

00:18:27.560 And I'm not talking AI here, but I'm talking about higher power and intelligence.

00:18:31.260 It's, unlike anything artificial, let's just call it supernatural, an intelligence that will be able to guide us to know what to believe and what not to believe.

00:18:43.460 Where do you put your trust, your hope, your faith, all of those things.

00:18:47.520 And the guy who wrote the Christmas movie, in fact, we'll talk a little bit later about this, that will be showing on everyone's television here.

00:19:00.440 Well, it's 24 hours or so.

00:19:02.840 Gene Shepard used to have a saying, in God we trust, all others pay cash.

00:19:10.540 I absolutely, it's one of my favorite, it's one of my favorite sayings.

00:19:14.400 I absolutely love it.

00:19:16.620 And it's true. 0.56

00:19:17.520 So, how do you know what to believe and what not to believe?

00:19:22.760 Well, let me tell you what we know about the note, specifically.

00:19:26.200 It was postmarked a few days after his death.

00:19:29.900 The DOJ now, the Department of Justice, and the FBI both coming out saying that note was not real.

00:19:35.700 It was a fake.

00:19:36.660 In fact, it was so fake that at the time it all came out, they knew from the very beginning it was a fake, it wasn't real, and of course, that's why I never saw the light of day.

00:19:48.760 But there are still mainstream and local TV stations and news sources putting this information out there as if they have no responsibility to tell you the truth about it.

00:19:58.460 It is damning.

00:20:01.480 It's a problem.

00:20:02.860 It is a real problem.

00:20:05.580 And again, it's one that only you and I in the days ahead are going to be able to really lean in, I think, to discernment and wisdom, be able to point these things out.

00:20:14.420 When you see a fake, you absolutely know what it is.

00:20:17.200 The good news is, I think more and more people are on to it.

00:20:20.320 I think the Trump team's on to it.

00:20:21.820 I think folks like me and you are on to it.

00:20:25.800 The FBI now confirming this alleged letter to Jeffrey Epstein and to Larry Nassar is fake.

00:20:30.420 Letter received by the jail and flagged for the FBI at the time.

00:20:35.080 So now you know the real story.

00:20:40.380 And maybe as Paul used to say, the rest of it anyway.

00:20:43.220 So it is important as you have these conversations around the table Christmas and no matter what day of the year it is,

00:20:50.960 that you're armed with the truth, logic, and common sense.

00:20:55.700 And today we'll try and make sure that you'll get even more of it in the fight for faith, family, and freedom.

00:21:00.380 In fact, coming up, Christians in Nigeria, we're going to talk a little bit more about the persecution they faced today.

00:21:05.880 Someone who just got back from Nigeria, been on the ground, give us the details about the latest that's happening there.

00:21:13.040 I don't know if you've seen TPUSA and Nicki Minaj's story about how she's supporting President Trump.

00:21:18.920 What that does to folks in the pop culture.

00:21:21.620 Anyway, I just can't wait.

00:21:23.000 We've got a jam-packed full show for you today.

00:21:25.040 Justin Barkley in for Glenn today on the Glenn Beck Program.

00:21:28.280 Love to hear from you.

00:21:29.040 Email me, justin at justinbarckley, B-A-R-C-L-A-Y.com.

00:21:33.720 Justin at justinbarckley.com.

00:21:35.580 Back in minutes on Christmas Eve on the Glenn Beck Program.

00:21:43.040 This is Glenn Beck.

00:21:49.160 You probably heard Relief Factor commercials where somebody says to his spouse regarding his pain,

00:21:53.720 you don't understand, it's gone.

00:21:56.060 Well, Sharon told us that's exactly how she feels.

00:21:58.380 She wrote to me and she said, Glenn, Relief Factor has helped me so much.

00:22:01.220 I plan on taking it for the rest of my life.

00:22:03.220 I'm a walking testimonial.

00:22:05.700 For me, it was more like Tanya twisting my arm to give Relief Factor a try.

00:22:09.460 I heard about Relief Factor all natural, created by doctors, blah, blah, blah.

00:22:13.420 I really agreed to try it, not in thinking it would work.

00:22:15.760 I just wanted to get her to stop telling me to do something and prove her wrong.

00:22:20.080 Well, she was right, again, of course, and I got my life back.

00:22:23.700 Not only did I not have to live in pain, I could thrive again.

00:22:27.620 If pain has been holding you back, maybe it's time you found out why so many people,

00:22:31.260 just like Sharon, just like me, make Relief Factor part of their daily routine. 0.98

00:22:35.220 Two out of three people who try it go on to order more month after month.

00:22:38.120 I'm one of them.

00:22:38.980 Try the three-week quick start today.

00:23:24.780 Welcome in to the GlennBeck program.

00:23:30.260 On a merry Christmas Eve, Justin Barkley filling in for Glenn on the GlennBeck program.

00:23:36.600 Just days ago, in fact, at AmericaFest at TPUSA, you probably saw some of the highlights.

00:23:43.700 One of the big names showing up on the stage.

00:23:45.700 In fact, one of the big VIP sort of surprise guests, Nicki Minaj.

00:23:50.740 Nicki Minaj on the stage.

00:23:59.480 Coming out with Erica Kirk.

00:24:01.160 They had a great conversation.

00:24:02.220 One of the things that Nicki has found herself right in the middle of, it's kind of interesting.

00:24:07.920 It was essentially this conversation about where she is with her faith, Christians in Nigeria,

00:24:20.600 the persecution that they're under right now, and her support for President Trump,

00:24:26.780 which has been wild to watch in itself.

00:24:28.560 I never thought, if you would have said to me, you know, Nicki Minaj is going to come out,

00:24:33.400 and she's going to come full-fledged in support of President Trump.

00:24:37.560 You know, if you're not familiar who she is, she is a rapper. 1.00

00:24:42.200 With hits, songs I can't even, some of them I can't even name, on the air.

00:24:51.780 Just amazing to see some people wake up.

00:24:54.740 So I say when they do, we welcome them with open arms, by the way.

00:24:57.820 And that's what the folks at TPUSA have done as well, because she is very outspoken and very passionate about this cause in Nigeria.

00:25:08.780 And I had Pastor Brad Brandon on with across Nigeria, and the folks fighting there for the people that are Christians,

00:25:16.240 and not just Christians, but the others who are being persecuted there as well.

00:25:19.160 Not long ago, we talked on Black Friday about that.

00:25:24.960 Joining us now, just fresh back from this trip to Nigeria, Congressman, Republican from Michigan, Congressman Bill Huizinga, joining us now.

00:25:33.040 Appreciate it for doing this today.

00:25:34.680 Thank you so much, and welcome back.

00:25:36.400 Merry Christmas, sir.

00:25:38.140 Well, it's good to be back home and celebrate Christmas here,

00:25:42.740 but I've got to tell you, it was a very impactful, a quick, but very impactful trip to Nigeria to be with faith leaders there as well as we're going into this season.

00:25:54.720 I can imagine.

00:25:56.000 What's it like there right now on the ground?

00:25:57.760 Well, it's interesting, right?

00:26:03.520 I think that the Nigerian government writ large is starting to get a very clear message that they have got to change their attitude and change their actions

00:26:17.240 when it comes to protecting, as you had said, not just Christians, but we are seeing a clear targeting of Christians in the Middle Belt,

00:26:28.060 kind of this stretch of territories and states across the middle of Nigeria,

00:26:34.560 but also the rise of Boko Haram in the northeast corner, and as well as other, the Fulani, and they're often called the herdsmen.

00:26:49.800 They tend to be more nomadic.

00:26:51.460 They go across a whole series of countries in that western Africa region,

00:26:56.180 but there's been a lot of targeting of the more strict Muslims, the radicalized Muslims, against the local Muslims as well.

00:27:09.480 I mean, they've been killing imams, that kind of thing, but they have definitely been sort of, I would say, 1.00

00:27:17.020 arguing that there really hasn't been a significant problem based on religion, and I think the facts just speak differently.

00:27:26.180 Congressman Bill Heisinger from Michigan with us right now, just back from a trip tonight, Jerry.

00:27:30.360 In fact, not too long ago, about a month or so back, in a hearing, you had to fight back tears talking about what's happening there.

00:27:37.160 200 people were murdered, killed, in a church.

00:27:41.620 Now, I want to ask this.

00:27:45.640 So, one question was, did things improve?

00:27:49.180 I think the answer is no on that.

00:27:53.460 Here's the question.

00:27:54.440 Proportionally, do we see Christians killing Muslims in Christian areas of Nigeria the way that we are seeing radicalized Islamists killing Christians in Muslim areas of Nigeria? 0.81

00:28:09.180 What I can tell you, Representative Heisinger, is that Christians are disproportionately targeted based on their population. 0.82

00:28:17.200 Exactly.

00:28:17.400 Exactly.

00:28:17.660 And by the way, for those that you can't pick up with the microphones, there's audible yeses behind you.

00:28:22.260 Again, the people that are watching who are nodding their heads.

00:28:25.200 Why?

00:28:25.520 Because they have lived this.

00:28:27.960 Their families have lived this.

00:28:30.800 I went to school with kids from Nigeria.

00:28:33.180 We've got neighbors who've been missionaries there, who have family there, who have friends there, who know this is going on.

00:28:51.120 Yet we've got not just the mass media, we've got people within the Congress denying that this is happening, or certainly de-emphasizing it.

00:29:00.880 It ought to be outrageous that it is Christians, moderate Muslims, anyone being terrorized by these radicalized Islamists in Nigeria,

00:29:11.340 and we've got the Tenubu government sitting back and not doing enough.

00:29:15.440 Now, you have, fresh off this trip, been able to see, like, firsthand on the ground what it's like there.

00:29:22.820 You've been able to hear from these people, not just in hearings, but also in person.

00:29:28.220 What's their spirit like right now?

00:29:31.360 Yeah.

00:29:31.860 I've got to tell you, one of the most powerful things that we were able to do was on Sunday morning,

00:29:37.280 we went to a church service, and this, so the section of Christianity that I belong to,

00:29:47.400 the Christian Reformed Church in North America, is headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

00:29:52.860 It's an offshoot of the Dutch Reformed movement, but Nigeria has been a mission field for our church for well over 100 years.

00:30:02.760 About 40% of all the practitioners are actually in Nigeria.

00:30:06.400 The other 60% are in the U.S. and Canada.

00:30:10.140 And I was able to go to a Christian Reformed Church in Abuja, just outside of Abuja,

00:30:16.340 and be able to worship with brothers and sisters.

00:30:20.680 And the head of the Christian Reformed Church in Nigeria, Reverend Magaji is his name, was there,

00:30:29.200 and we had a bit of a surprise visitor.

00:30:31.040 The minister of defense, his name is Minister Musa.

00:30:38.460 He is a former general, just retired general, General Musa, who has been brought back in very recently

00:30:46.900 by the Tanubu government to become the minister of defense.

00:30:51.780 He joined us.

00:30:52.780 He and his wife and his three adult kids were at the church service and worshiping with us.

00:30:59.700 And he gave an interview afterwards talking about these folks that some call bandits,

00:31:06.660 he called terrorists, and that we need to go after them.

00:31:10.340 And that was a significant, significant, I think, moment in this trip,

00:31:16.540 because we saw Christian leaders in Nigeria finally seeing someone at a significant level

00:31:24.920 within the government acknowledging what is going on.

00:31:30.480 And for Minister Musa to see and look people in the eye and tell them that this is not acceptable,

00:31:42.000 that was a big, big moment, even within Nigeria.

00:31:45.960 Now, we've got a long way to go.

00:31:48.740 And as I said in multiple, multiple interviews in Nigeria and now afterwards,

00:31:55.200 the proof is in the pudding.

00:31:56.260 You know, actions speak louder than words.

00:32:00.140 And we have to see the Nigerian government step up in a very different way

00:32:05.380 to help protect their citizens, especially the Christians in that middle belt 0.88

00:32:10.180 who have been targeted by mostly Fulani Muslims.

00:32:16.460 Congressman Bill Huizinga with us right now from Michigan.

00:32:19.940 And the solution here, the answer, obviously,

00:32:23.140 look, I know the Bible says we wrestle not against flesh and blood.

00:32:26.980 I think that's right where we're on.

00:32:27.920 This is something much bigger than what we're seeing play out, even in front of our eyes.

00:32:31.960 But we have seen President Trump stand up and mention that he would take action.

00:32:36.640 What do you see as a solution here?

00:32:38.200 And obviously, you mentioned some very encouraging, hopeful news

00:32:42.180 that folks there involved with it high up in the government would be attending services

00:32:46.420 and worshiping with some of those folks.

00:32:47.960 Well, you know, look, I think first and foremost, you have to admit that you have a problem.

00:32:54.740 They are close to doing that publicly.

00:32:57.480 They won't they won't really quite do that.

00:32:59.840 There's factions within their own government that I witnessed in private meetings

00:33:05.280 that were really fighting back against the whole narrative that President Trump

00:33:09.480 and others have talked about.

00:33:11.500 I think the facts are undeniable with what has been going on.

00:33:16.700 We had a chance to meet with the governor of the state of the Plateau State.

00:33:21.560 It's where this this massacre that happened at Christmastime two years ago.

00:33:27.180 That's what I was talking about in the audio that you that you ran.

00:33:32.060 He he came in and was very forceful about what has been happening in his in his home state of Plateau.

00:33:40.020 So. So is it is it encouraging?

00:33:43.660 Yes. Have they come to a solution?

00:33:47.020 No. I mean, that was another question I've been asked is, you know, did they present the plan?

00:33:52.220 Well, no, they haven't.

00:33:53.760 You know, but again, you first have to acknowledge that you have a problem

00:33:58.480 and they're getting there with that.

00:34:01.340 But what we heard consistently from people outside of government was keep the pressure up,

00:34:07.240 keep the pressure up on the government, because this is forcing a conversation within Nigeria

00:34:13.500 and within the broader international world about what is happening in Nigeria and writ large,

00:34:21.620 what's happening with groups like Boko Haram and in other areas of West Africa.

00:34:27.240 So it was it was a very, very quick trip.

00:34:30.420 We were on the ground for about twenty nine or maybe thirty hours total.

00:34:33.820 We packed in a lot. We got to see some of the highest government officials, even at at Christmastime.

00:34:42.120 And their their capital, Abuja, is a lot like Washington, D.C., where everybody is there,

00:34:47.620 except almost nobody is from there. Right.

00:34:50.120 And so at the holidays, they all go back home, too.

00:34:54.820 And what what our timing of this trip also said something very powerfully to them, which is and we heard this from people.

00:35:04.280 You were willing to take time out at this holiday season to get all the way over to Nigeria to find out what was going on

00:35:12.080 and to express your displeasure and and and hope to work with the Nigerian government.

00:35:19.800 That said a lot. And I just want to thank my colleagues who who also were on this trip because they delayed their family plans as well.

00:35:28.580 But we saw we saw we saw Nigerian government officials that either didn't leave or they even came back in some cases

00:35:36.660 to make sure that we were having meetings Saturday night and all day on Sunday before we we took a nearly a midnight flight out on Sunday.

00:35:46.460 So it was I think it was a successful stake in the ground.

00:35:52.760 But we need to continue to reinforce that on a on a on a regular, regular basis.

00:35:59.000 Absolutely. Well, glad that you're back.

00:36:01.180 Your home's safe and sound and and can celebrate Christmas with the family.

00:36:05.980 We wish you the best. Congressman Bill Huizaga from Michigan's fourth congressional district,

00:36:10.460 the Republican here with us this morning. Thank you, sir.

00:36:14.020 Hey, good to be with you.

00:36:14.980 Blessings to you and blessings to all of our brothers and sisters around the world.

00:36:19.320 You got it, especially in a time like today.

00:36:21.200 You know, this is a Christian persecution, folks. 0.91

00:36:23.820 It's it's not far off from the actual the story about the guy.

00:36:28.320 Obviously, Jesus, but the guy that we celebrate, St.

00:36:32.240 Nicholas went through much of that himself.

00:36:34.340 In fact, in a little bit, we'll talk about that coming up on the program today.

00:36:38.680 No matter where you are, we appreciate you being here with us on the Glenn Beck program.

00:36:42.500 Justin Barkley in for Glenn today.

00:36:44.660 Back next, even got some good news on the way.

00:36:47.280 This is the Glenn Beck program.

00:36:51.200 Teach your kids right. 0.99

00:36:54.020 Shoot. 0.99

00:36:54.900 You know, schools won't do it for you. 1.00

00:36:56.900 This is Glenn Beck.

00:37:14.300 I want you to meet Candace.

00:37:15.900 She's a young woman unsure about the future of the life growing inside of her.

00:37:20.020 But after meeting her baby on an ultrasound provided by pre-born, she had a change of heart.

00:37:25.140 He's like this tiny little spectrum of hope.

00:37:29.960 And I saw his heart beating on the screen.

00:37:33.960 And I mean, that sonogram changed my life.

00:37:39.000 Ultrasounds save lives.

00:37:40.800 And pre-born currently has clinics that do not have any ultrasound machines.

00:37:45.520 If you have the means, would you consider a leadership gift?

00:37:48.660 These life-saving machines cost more than most centers can afford.

00:37:52.300 And your tax-deductible donation of $15,000 will place a machine in a needy women's center,

00:37:57.420 saving countless lives for years to come.

00:38:00.260 And now, through a match, your gift will be doubled.

00:38:02.780 Donate securely.

00:38:03.980 Call pound 250.

00:38:05.180 Say the keyword baby.

00:38:06.260 That's pound 250, keyword baby.

00:38:07.980 Or visit pre-born.com slash back.

00:38:10.280 That's pre-born.com slash back.

00:38:12.440 Sponsored by Pre-Born.

00:38:15.520 So, Glenn talked about this the other day, but a great story.

00:38:27.980 It ties right in to what we were just talking about, the persecution and the rise of Christian persecution,

00:38:33.340 not just in Nigeria, but all over the world.

00:38:36.280 And a little bit of good news.

00:38:37.800 In fact, the real story behind the big man in the red suit,

00:38:42.660 not the big man with the red hat or the red tie.

00:38:44.540 We'll talk about him a little bit later on today.

00:38:46.480 But the big man in the red suit today, a real Christian named Nicholas, 0.52

00:38:52.480 a 4th century pastor and bishop in Myra.

00:38:55.340 That's now Turkey. 0.94

00:38:57.080 And he wasn't a cartoon character.

00:38:58.620 In fact, he was a man known for quite the generosity.

00:39:02.360 Most famous story says he helped a broke family by giving money in secret

00:39:06.160 so their daughters could have a future.

00:39:07.700 That give in secret, that's the instinct straight out of the playbook from the man who the holiday's all about.

00:39:19.060 Jesus.

00:39:20.020 But Nicholas didn't live in comfy times.

00:39:22.340 Christians faced crackdowns then, too, under the Roman Empire.

00:39:26.360 And tradition says Nicholas was in prison for his faith during those persecutions.

00:39:32.000 He was punished simply for refusing to deny Christ.

00:39:36.180 Centuries later, his name and reputation traveled through Europe.

00:39:41.420 Sinterklaas in Dutch is what they called him.

00:39:43.860 Eventually, Santa Claus in America.

00:39:46.440 So the lesson and the good news here, even when the culture gets hostile, you know, you see it.

00:39:54.640 We're watching it in Nigeria and even on the streets of Washington, D.C., certainly Chirac. 1.00

00:40:01.300 But simple faithfulness still leaves a mark.

00:40:05.220 You can do good.

00:40:06.700 You can give with a smile, quietly.

00:40:09.420 Stand firm.

00:40:10.100 And, boy, good conquers evil each and every time.

00:40:17.960 That's the good news and more of it on a Christmas Eve edition of the Glenn Beck Program.

00:40:23.440 Justin Barkley in for Glenn.

00:40:25.720 I'm at Mr. Justin Barkley all over social media.

00:40:28.320 Email me, Justin at JustinBarkley.com.

00:40:30.340 We're back after this on the Glenn Beck Program.

00:40:33.600 This is Glenn Beck.

00:40:40.100 We're back after this on the Glenn Beck.

00:41:10.100 We'll be right back.

00:41:40.080 Glenn Beck Program.

00:41:42.880 Now, you've got to say it, but the White House, the actual White House account is streaming live right now.

00:41:52.760 It's going to have you rolling on the floor in stitches.

00:41:58.380 I'll share that coming up.

00:42:01.040 Chances are, I guess, it turns out, Santa's not the only one with a list.

00:42:07.080 And I'll explain.

00:42:10.000 Coming up, Justin Barkley in for Glenn today on the Glenn Beck Program.

00:42:14.360 So much still yet to come on this Christmas Eve edition.

00:42:18.340 Stay with us.

00:42:19.580 Stay with us.

00:42:20.800 Back next.

00:42:21.640 The older I get, the more I think about trust.

00:42:29.020 I think about the people in my life who have my trust and earned my trust.

00:42:33.380 And the trust that I have placed in some people who I later learned abused that trust.

00:42:37.900 I know we're alike in that way.

00:42:39.600 We don't trust a lot of people anymore.

00:42:41.440 It's like we're all Ronald Reagan trust, but always verify to make sure we're not making a mistake.

00:42:46.620 I find it a little exhausting, quite honestly.

00:42:48.900 And that's why I started realestateagentsitrust.com.

00:42:51.780 I didn't have good experiences with buying and selling my homes.

00:42:54.980 So we built Real Estate Agents I Trust to introduce you to one of the thousands of agents all over the country that we work with

00:43:01.580 that we have verified that they will help you have the most successful and good real estate transaction possible.

00:43:09.400 Our network agents share our sensibilities, have great track records, are good and decent people.

00:43:14.700 And I trust them to help you with your real estate needs.

00:43:17.840 So whether you're moving across town or across the country, visit realestateagentsitrust.com.

00:43:23.060 The name says it all, realestateagentsitrust.com.

00:43:31.600 All right, here it is.

00:43:32.860 This is streaming as we speak right now on the White House account over on X or formerly Twitter.

00:43:43.860 I think maybe they may even have this over on, I'm going to be careful how much I play this

00:43:49.320 because I'm not sure what, well, it just sounds like it's probably, you know, royalty-free stuff.

00:43:54.980 But Santa's not the only one with a list.

00:43:59.440 Apparently, it shows like a video of President Trump sitting at the White House, no doubt, or maybe Mar-a-Lago.

00:44:11.280 I'm not really sure.

00:44:12.620 There's a fire going, a roaring fire.

00:44:14.640 In the distance, you see the tree, the lights twinkling, and presents laid underneath with bows and a glass of milk

00:44:25.360 and a plate full of what I can only assume are hot, fresh chocolate chip cookies sitting next to him on that table.

00:44:36.240 And in front of them, prominently displayed that list, the naughty list.

00:44:41.180 It's name after name of criminal illegal aliens. 0.80

00:44:47.900 I think these are real names.

00:44:50.060 I think these are real names.

00:44:52.640 The White House says breaking Santa's naughty list, the worst of the worst.

00:44:57.760 Low-fi edition.

00:44:59.020 No coal, just deportation.

00:45:02.020 So you can, you know, some people, I like to do the little fireplace in the background, you know,

00:45:07.020 or put that on the television, a little, sort of low music.

00:45:11.940 You can watch the, you know, fireplace go or whatnot, and put a little jazz or something like that on,

00:45:20.560 and enjoy it.

00:45:22.360 So relax, this is perfect for relaxing.

00:45:27.260 President Trump's naughty list.

00:45:29.800 Well, from naughty to nice, let's get to our next guest, who knows a thing or two about both, actually.

00:45:37.280 Dr. Quentin Schultz joins us right now and is the author of a book.

00:45:41.340 Came out last year.

00:45:42.340 It's fantastic.

00:45:43.560 And it really tells you the true story of the movie you're going to be watching over the next 24 hours or even longer,

00:45:52.500 that Christmas story written by Gene Shepard.

00:45:54.660 He had some time to sit down with Gene, who is kind of a, really a legend, not just in television now and movies,

00:46:04.600 but initially radio throughout the years.

00:46:08.160 In fact, Dr., I just shared one of my favorite sayings of all time, and I attribute to him,

00:46:14.680 which is, in God we trust, all others pay cash.

00:46:19.720 Welcome in and Merry Christmas.

00:46:21.100 Ho, ho, ho, ho, Justin, listen.

00:46:25.020 I just had a conversation via text messaging with your wife,

00:46:29.580 and she told me that I should not give you a leg lamp for Christmas.

00:46:35.380 So I'm sorry, buddy.

00:46:36.740 It's not coming this year.

00:46:38.220 I'm not a leg lamp kind of guy,

00:46:40.080 although I will tell you that that movie in that scene may be one of the most classics of all time,

00:46:46.440 and I have noticed, now that I know what you say about that lamp and the truth about it,

00:46:51.820 I've noticed it, and it's kind of funny for me,

00:46:54.160 driving through some of the more interesting neighborhoods and some really big homes,

00:47:00.560 some well-to-do folks prominently displayed some leg lamps in their front windows,

00:47:07.000 and I have to wonder about that.

00:47:09.460 Yeah, you do have to wonder what's going on here.

00:47:11.800 Gene Shepard, the storyteller, the screenwriter, told me when I taught with him at Calvin University,

00:47:18.780 it was then Calvin College in Grand Rapids,

00:47:21.480 I invited him.

00:47:22.240 I wanted to learn storytelling from the best, and he was the best I could find,

00:47:25.360 and I invited him to come and teach storytelling with me,

00:47:28.500 and I learned how he tells stories,

00:47:30.660 and I learned about the stories that are in a Christmas story,

00:47:33.440 everything from the kid getting his tongue stuck on the flagpole to, of course, the leg lamp,

00:47:39.460 the whole Red Ryder BB gun thing.

00:47:42.000 I mean, there's so much in there.

00:47:43.400 It's a number of stories,

00:47:44.400 and every one of those stories is aimed at getting to a point, a message about life,

00:47:50.040 and that's why I wrote the book You'll Shoot Your Eye Out Life Lessons from the movie A Christmas Story

00:47:55.600 because it's not just comedy.

00:47:58.280 It's all of these incredible messages,

00:48:01.300 some of which are political that people have no idea Gene was getting at,

00:48:06.980 but that was one of the great times in my life before he died in 99 to get to know him.

00:48:13.520 So any question you have, although you've read the book,

00:48:17.060 you have some idea what's behind the scenes in the book.

00:48:19.520 Yeah.

00:48:20.340 It's just so much fun.

00:48:22.520 You know, the interesting thing, and I wonder about this,

00:48:26.460 but it's sort of communicated through this movie in ways that we kind of take for granted

00:48:32.660 because we think it's just some Christmas movie that we sort of sapped.

00:48:35.920 You know, we love it because it's nostalgic on all the rest of it.

00:48:40.260 There's something much deeper happening,

00:48:41.760 and it's like he was telling these stories through parables,

00:48:43.760 just the way that Jesus used to talk and teach.

00:48:49.520 Yeah, Gene learned that growing up in Chicago following some of the Chicago journalists

00:48:54.940 who wrote in the newspapers then, and they used the parables.

00:48:58.680 And they didn't want to mention the real names of the politicians

00:49:02.200 who were doing nasty things in Chicago way back then, as they still do.

00:49:07.600 But so they would change names and so on and change a few aspects of the story.

00:49:11.980 And that's what Gene did.

00:49:13.380 So you look at everything going on in that movie, and it's all there for a purpose.

00:49:19.300 And the purposes have to do with what Gene believed about life,

00:49:25.060 especially about the differences between males and females.

00:49:29.020 That's right.

00:49:29.680 I'm asserting there's a difference between male and female because that's what Gene believed.

00:49:34.100 And he believed that men are incurably romantic

00:49:38.660 and are impractical.

00:49:43.000 And women are practical and rational and bail men out from the problems that men get into 0.97

00:49:49.320 because of this romantic urge.

00:49:51.000 Now, the romantic urge can be directed at women, okay?

00:49:54.860 So that's sort of the basic view.

00:49:57.360 But then Gene says to me, he says, hey, hey, Quentin, he says, you know,

00:50:01.260 really what's going on here with the leg lamp is that the leg lamp, you know, that's a trophy wife. 1.00

00:50:07.540 I said, Gene, the leg lamp is a trophy wife? 1.00

00:50:10.560 What the heck are you talking about?

00:50:12.800 He said, you got to pay attention, man.

00:50:15.520 You're supposed to be a communication professor and you don't get it.

00:50:18.340 He said, what happens?

00:50:19.600 They pull that crate in and the crate was too big, by the way.

00:50:23.640 They couldn't get it through the door.

00:50:24.640 So they had to cut part of it off.

00:50:25.800 And it says his end up rather than this end up.

00:50:29.520 And then, of course, he starts opening it and he sees fragile on the side.

00:50:33.180 He mispronounces that fragile.

00:50:35.800 And he gets this thing and he starts pulling it out like an archaeologist with a treasure. 0.59

00:50:41.800 And it's this goofy, tawdry, awful looking leg lamp.

00:50:46.800 And he holds up his major award.

00:50:51.040 And then he says, and here's the key, this male versus female thing.

00:50:54.080 He says to his wife, mom, at that point, he says, I know exactly where to put this.

00:51:00.780 And then he heads over to that front window.

00:51:03.400 And mom is looking at this saying, oh, no, another thing.

00:51:07.440 Why do males do this? 0.57

00:51:09.040 If it's a car, if it's a piece of machinery, whatever it is, men get romantically involved in these things that cause trouble.

00:51:18.220 And now he's got this trophy wife and the trophy wife is the doggone lamp. 0.99

00:51:24.560 And mom knows at that point, if you look at the film carefully, she's going to have to destroy that.

00:51:30.560 In other words, she's going to have to undo the affair that the old man has created because he's fallen in love with a leg lamp, which he turns on in the front window.

00:51:41.080 But then he says he's going to display in the front window to turn on the neighborhood.

00:51:45.600 So you get all of this stuff going on.

00:51:47.720 And Gene believed that about guys, that they just go crazy, especially over technology.

00:51:54.900 And so he's got quite a bit, as I talk about in the book, he said, you've got to try to tackle technology.

00:51:59.560 You're never going to completely overcome it, but you've got to try to tackle it.

00:52:04.800 So he's always battling the car, and the car freezes up in the winter, even if it's later.

00:52:10.820 The furnace, yeah.

00:52:12.580 Yeah, the furnace is a huge problem.

00:52:14.400 So Gene said to me one time about that, when the furnace goes the first time, and he's got to run downstairs to fix it, you know, clinker, and he runs downstairs and trips over a couple of toys and all.

00:52:27.400 And he gets down there, and Gene said, he says, Quentin, he said, you know, that doggone old man, he's going down to the fifth level of Dante's Infernal, close to the depths of hell, and he's going to battle that demon of the furnace, and he's going to lose.

00:52:42.220 That's how he saw it.

00:52:45.560 What would Gene think today about AI?

00:52:51.420 He would say AI is a scam.

00:52:54.100 Okay, and the reason he would say that is, as I have in one of the chapters of the book, don't trust the media.

00:53:04.480 Okay, he was in the media, he knew a lot of media people, he served on Hollywood guilds with some well-known people, and he would always say to me, he would say, wow, you know, Professor Schultz, you can't really trust these media people.

00:53:19.340 And he just had a dismal, dismal view of media.

00:53:23.080 The only thing he really liked in media was watching football, and he was a big Chicago Bears fan.

00:53:28.420 But I think he would look at this and say, it's another media scam.

00:53:32.340 It's all hyped up.

00:53:33.880 And at some point, it's going to come crashing down, because there is no way that computers are going to actually be as smart as human beings, especially on the creative side.

00:53:45.600 You know, it really is interesting.

00:53:48.180 I think about that.

00:53:51.360 These thoughts, these technology, it really does, as a way to really enhance our lives, but it can tear us down at the same time.

00:53:59.320 And it really is about who's using it, right, and whose hands it's in.

00:54:04.880 Right.

00:54:05.460 But you can't take the person out of that picture, otherwise things don't work well.

00:54:10.660 It never can.

00:54:11.980 No, never can.

00:54:12.880 And it's never going to be perfect.

00:54:14.600 So the furnace won't be perfect.

00:54:17.000 His car won't.

00:54:18.640 What did he see in everyday American life?

00:54:25.340 What did he see about us that we miss the most?

00:54:29.700 Yeah, so that's a great question, because here's a Christmas story set in about 1939.

00:54:35.640 And one of the things about the movie, and he insisted, was to put all these little bits of Americana.

00:54:45.220 So whether it's the radio show that's on, you know, the Ovaltine commercial, or whether it's the type of detergent on the shelf in the kitchen, whatever it is, it's the little stuff of everyday life that we live in that's most interesting.

00:55:03.660 In fact, here's the thing.

00:55:04.920 I went out to, you live in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area, and I have lived in West Michigan, too.

00:55:13.520 And Gene was with me, and we went out to a diner.

00:55:16.080 And the diner had a radio station doing a live remote.

00:55:22.960 And Gene looked at that, and he went over and he talked to the guys.

00:55:26.840 He didn't say who he was, but he talked to the guys who were sitting there doing this live remote in the morning.

00:55:31.480 And they were giving away some cheap plastic cups that had the call letters of the station on.

00:55:39.180 And he went over, he said, listen, I really like one of those.

00:55:42.840 He said, you know, there will be a time, maybe it's two, three hundred years from now, when archaeologists will be digging up the remains of North American culture.

00:55:51.540 And those cups will say an awful lot about what our culture was like.

00:55:55.560 And so it's all the little stuff, all the little stuff.

00:56:02.720 And that's what got Jerry Seinfeld interested in Shepard.

00:56:07.360 And Seinfeld says that he learned his entire comedic sensibility from Gene Shepard, the writer of the movie A Christmas Story.

00:56:13.620 You say, how can that be?

00:56:14.560 Well, you look at Seinfeld as a TV show.

00:56:17.660 It's all about everyday life.

00:56:19.080 Yeah.

00:56:19.920 Right.

00:56:20.680 And that's the way Gene was.

00:56:23.380 He wanted us to remember that what's important in life is the everyday stuff that we're doing, the people we're meeting, the crazy things that are happening, the flat tires, this and that.

00:56:32.540 And it's not all this highfalutin stuff that's in the literature that you read in college.

00:56:37.900 But he wanted to get it everyday life.

00:56:39.900 And Seinfeld did, too.

00:56:42.540 Seinfeld said to me that he learned his entire comedic sensibility from Shepard.

00:56:48.040 I want to talk a little bit more about this.

00:56:49.880 Dr. Quentin Schultz with us right now.

00:56:51.660 He's written the book.

00:56:52.540 In fact, I definitely recommend picking it up.

00:56:55.080 But you'll see the movie all over in the next 24 hours again and again and again if you haven't ever seen it.

00:57:02.480 Definitely a piece of history.

00:57:04.780 I recommend going to check it out.

00:57:07.800 But when I come back, I want to ask you if you can hang with us for a bit here, Doc.

00:57:12.540 Just to ask you about a little bit more about the dad in the movie or that character, who he is.

00:57:20.060 Like, is that guy a hero?

00:57:22.460 Is he maybe I don't want to say villain, but a warning to us, as you just mentioned, sort of this trophy wife narrative?

00:57:30.600 And some other questions about the movie that you've seen maybe over and over again that you just never noticed.

00:57:37.780 We'll do that when we come back with Dr. Quentin Schultz talking about the book, You'll Shoot Your Eye Out.

00:57:43.960 Back after this on the Glenn Beck Program.

00:57:45.860 That means twice as many ultrasounds, twice as many lives saved,

00:58:15.040 and twice as many moms who've given up hope.

00:58:18.000 Get hope again with diapers and car seats and counseling and care for up to two years.

00:58:22.280 As the year comes to a close, let's double down in our faith and our love and in our action.

00:58:30.000 One ultrasound is $28 and any gift will help.

00:58:33.780 I can't stress enough how important this cause is.

00:58:35.960 Do it now.

00:58:36.660 Dial pound 250.

00:58:37.620 Say the keyword baby.

00:58:38.780 That's pound 250, keyword baby.

00:58:40.600 Or go to preborn.com slash Beck.

00:58:42.680 That's preborn.com slash Beck.

00:58:45.260 How many lives will you save today?

00:58:47.020 Sponsored by Preborn.

00:58:57.900 About the movie, A Christmas Story, and Gene Shepard, the man who wrote it, Dr. Quentin Schultz is with us right now.

00:59:04.980 And he's written the book on all of this.

00:59:08.140 And it's called You'll Shoot Your Eye Out.

00:59:09.620 So I've got to ask, we only have a couple of minutes here left, but the dad, a couple of questions here.

00:59:14.320 But first, the dad, hero or villain, or is it a little bit more mixed there?

00:59:18.640 Where do you land on that?

00:59:20.840 Yeah, it's mixed.

00:59:22.080 Gene just felt that guys had a problem where they would try to tackle more than they could, and that would get him into trouble.

00:59:28.940 And so, and he gets into trouble with all the electrical cords.

00:59:33.520 He's got fuses blowing all over, and, you know, he could replace fuses faster than a jackrabbit on a date, as the old man says.

00:59:41.820 So, he's down deep, he's a lovable guy, and he does want to love his family, he wants to care for his family.

00:59:51.520 But he's always got challenges going on.

00:59:54.260 I think most men can identify with that.

00:59:56.540 He's got challenges going on.

00:59:57.980 I see a lot, yeah, especially as I get older, in some of those pieces from the movie.

01:00:03.880 Why do you think this movie has stood the test of time?

01:00:06.900 Why do you think it's lasted so long?

01:00:08.620 What is it, like, the magic in it that really just makes it stick?

01:00:13.540 Yeah, what Gene wanted to do for the magic was to say that what are the kinds of situations that we get into in life, in this case, around Christmas.

01:00:25.740 His other movies had to do with other holidays.

01:00:27.800 He's got one on the 4th of July, and he's got one on Thanksgiving, and so on.

01:00:31.440 The kinds of situations that we can all identify with, even though we may be from a different social class or a different part of the country.

01:00:39.480 To some extent, the film has not done real well in other parts of the world.

01:00:44.080 Even in Canada, it's not that popular.

01:00:46.660 But really, in terms of Americana, what is it?

01:00:49.920 What's it like?

01:00:51.180 What's the magic about opening gifts, let's say, in this case, on Christmas morning?

01:00:57.620 Or the magic of a kid really wanting, desiring deeply a particular gift and trying to figure out how to get the parents or the teacher to give them the Red Ryder BB rifle?

01:01:08.640 And, of course, the only one that he does not ask for, the old man, that's his father, is the one who gives it to him.

01:01:17.700 And so the old man comes through in the end, and that scene where the old man and mom are watching Ralphie unpack that rifle is a fantastic scene.

01:01:27.580 Because there you really catch the love that the old man has for Ralphie.

01:01:32.040 And even mom, looking at the old man, while the old man is watching Ralphie unpack it, you see how pleased she is.

01:01:40.160 Even though she didn't want to give a rifle, because he would shoot his eye out to Ralphie, she sees that the old man loves him.

01:01:50.020 But in general, the heroes in Gene Shepard's stories and the hero in this movie, too, is mom.

01:01:57.820 Mom is the hero.

01:01:58.900 She's more playful.

01:02:00.280 She's more persuasive.

01:02:01.960 The scene where she gets Randy to eat the meatloaf and mashed potatoes, fantastic.

01:02:07.240 Dr. Quentin Schultz, more in the book.

01:02:22.980 Always a pleasure.

01:02:23.980 Merry Christmas, my friend.

01:02:26.100 Thank you, buddy.

01:02:26.840 Bye-bye.

01:02:27.400 Back with more on the Glenn Beck Program after this.

01:02:30.980 This is Glenn Beck.

01:02:33.600 We are only a few weeks into winter and already brutal cold, huge snowstorms, and, of course, power outages.

01:02:40.580 Think about this.

01:02:41.260 If the power goes out when it's really cold, do you have a way to keep yourself and your family warm?

01:02:46.380 Winter power outages can even be life-threatening.

01:02:49.340 We learned this in Texas not too long ago.

01:02:51.540 That's why so many Americans are getting a Vesta off-grid heater from MyPatriotSupply.

01:02:57.020 It's a space heater.

01:02:58.280 It doesn't use electricity or propane.

01:03:00.320 It runs on something called canned heat, and it's an indoor safe fuel.

01:03:04.800 With Vesta, if you have it stashed in your closet, you know you can keep warm, keep your kids warm no matter what.

01:03:10.180 And it even doubles as a stove to cook your food in case you have an electric cooktop.

01:03:13.840 The best part is, right now, you can get the Vesta and a bunch more preparedness gear as free gifts

01:03:19.760 when you order the winter survival kit from MyPatriotSupply.

01:03:23.020 Go to MyPatriotSupply.com slash Glenn.

01:03:25.740 See everything that's included.

01:03:27.220 The offer is not going to last long, so go to MyPatriotSupply.com slash Glenn.

01:03:32.020 MyPatriotSupply.com slash Glenn.

01:03:34.880 If you like overreacting to headlines with actual context, you're in luck.

01:03:40.320 Glenn's newsletter exists.

01:03:42.680 Sign up at GlennBeck.com.

01:03:44.440 A new website, a new app, a new way to understand the world we're living in.

01:04:05.340 Launching January 5th at GlennBeck.com.

01:04:10.620 Okay, I never thought I'd say this.

01:04:13.000 But, uh, have you seen Hunter Biden?

01:04:18.520 Well, he's making headlines for a whole new reason.

01:04:20.760 Hey, it's Justin Barkley in for Glenn today on the Glenn Beck program, Christmas Eve edition.

01:04:26.140 Justin at JustinBarclay.com, B-A-R-C-L-A-Y, Justin at JustinBarclay.com.

01:04:30.500 You can email me.

01:04:31.100 Love to hear from you as we're on the air.

01:04:33.260 Questions, comments, concerns, complaints, take a number.

01:04:36.640 You can get to me there.

01:04:38.380 And also on the program, 888-737-B-E-C-K.

01:04:42.220 Okay, but listen, I, I, this, this Hunter Biden stuff that's coming out is, is all from an interview, by the way.

01:04:51.140 He sounds like he's going to be speaking at the next TPUSA.

01:04:55.020 He did an interview with a guy at a chance to meet, uh, Sean Ryan.

01:05:00.840 You're probably familiar with Sean.

01:05:02.080 Got a massive show, mostly on YouTube and I'm sure Spotify and a couple of different places.

01:05:07.380 But, um, you know, Sean's interviewed all kinds of people.

01:05:12.120 Very interesting topics, um, from military politics to UFOs.

01:05:19.640 I mean, you name it.

01:05:20.380 The guy, uh, very, very entertaining, very interesting show.

01:05:23.760 And at first, when I saw this, Sean, I have to admit, I had, I said, very nice guy, by the way.

01:05:31.180 Um, and as I said, I really enjoyed the show, but I, I said, I said, wait a minute.

01:05:38.200 Why is he talking to Hunter Biden?

01:05:42.900 Why is he giving that guy the time of day?

01:05:45.500 And I thought about it.

01:05:49.620 Well, he had Hannity talk to, uh, Gavin Newsom, right?

01:05:54.200 I guess, I guess I'd be, I guess I'd be willing to talk, but you got it.

01:05:59.220 And I haven't seen the whole interview, so I don't know how Sean handled it, but I think

01:06:02.340 I would have a hard time, you know, staying neutral in an interview like that.

01:06:09.080 And there are a couple of reasons why, but in fact, maybe I can play some of that a little

01:06:14.860 bit later on, but I just, I just play in this clip just so you, cause it's news and I want

01:06:18.580 you to be able to hear what he has to say here.

01:06:22.400 But, um, Hunter Biden sounding like he's going to be the next big guest at America Fest.

01:06:33.520 We're in immigration, but we don't want immigrants that are coming here illegally, draining us 1.00

01:06:40.480 of resources and also, um, uh, and, and, and being prioritized above people that are actual

01:06:48.280 literal heroes that are coming home that are, uh, that are still recovering from, uh, 21,

01:06:55.640 20 years of, uh, endless war.

01:06:57.460 Did this guy, was he around, was he conscious when his dad was president?

01:07:02.600 That's all, that's all president Biden did was open the gates wide open.

01:07:12.220 This is like the most epic in some ways.

01:07:16.060 It's like rewriting history.

01:07:18.140 Oh no, we never did that.

01:07:20.140 One of the biggest problems we face today and president Trump's been able to handle it,

01:07:23.640 close the borders.

01:07:24.520 And now it's, it's really, how do you get these people?

01:07:28.940 How do you get them out?

01:07:30.280 It's a vibrant immigration, but we don't want immigrants that are coming here illegally, 1.00

01:07:36.580 draining us of resources and also, um, uh, and, and, and being prioritized above people

01:07:44.820 that are actual literal heroes.

01:07:46.460 Anyway, I recommend, I like Sean, I like the show, so I recommend you go watch.

01:07:50.060 I'm going to have to go watch the whole thing to see how it was handled, but, uh, I think

01:07:55.180 to myself, Hunter Biden.

01:07:57.300 Of all people, Hunter Biden, how do you, how do you square that?

01:08:04.180 How do you have that interview without saying, bro, come on, come on.

01:08:11.020 And I will say this, he seems sober and I give people the benefit of the doubt.

01:08:16.220 You know, you get a chance, second chances or 22nd chances or whatever it might be for

01:08:21.060 Hunter.

01:08:21.400 I get it.

01:08:22.320 But at the end of the day, I know we like to see that it's a good thing.

01:08:25.900 People pulling their lives back together.

01:08:27.900 Wouldn't wish bad things on anyone, but look at all of the dirt, all of the things that

01:08:35.240 we've seen and particularly through the, the, the course of the last several years and the

01:08:42.640 things that come out about Hunter and the family and everything else.

01:08:45.600 And, and, and I, the way he kind of gaslights us and, uh, well, I don't know, sort of defends

01:08:53.780 his dad is, is a real, now I understand that that's a natural thing. 1.00

01:08:58.180 You want to defend your dad, you're going to do everything, say everything you can to

01:09:03.280 make that happen.

01:09:04.540 But also it's, some of this, some of this is really, it's, it's a stretch.

01:09:16.660 It's rewriting history.

01:09:19.340 And, um, I understand that the media does that on a daily basis, so it shouldn't be any

01:09:25.240 surprise to any of us, but it is, um, it is, it is happening.

01:09:32.220 Uh, well, how about some good news?

01:09:34.420 This CNN has forced, even CNN forced to admit it at this point.

01:09:40.760 Apparently what Trump is doing, they said it wouldn't, they said it wouldn't work.

01:09:45.660 But now they're saying what Trump is doing is, well, it's working begrudgingly.

01:09:51.260 They have to admit the U S economy much better than expected GDP growing.

01:09:55.240 The fastest rate in two years.

01:09:57.380 Americans seeing prices ease at the grocery store.

01:10:00.120 Oh yeah.

01:10:00.760 And let's not even forget about the gas pump.

01:10:04.000 A new report shows the U S.

01:10:07.400 Oh, wait a minute.

01:10:07.880 She sounds a little drunk, doesn't she?

01:10:09.160 Speed her back up.

01:10:09.980 Let's get her back. 0.99

01:10:10.720 This economy was much stronger than expected in the third quarter.

01:10:14.300 GDP grew at the fastest rate in two years.

01:10:17.400 This is incredible.

01:10:18.780 I just can't imagine.

01:10:20.800 Americans are also seeing some prices ease at the grocery store.

01:10:23.960 The cost of eggs, milk, chicken, and tomatoes are all down.

01:10:26.780 As you see here on the screen.

01:10:28.140 Whoa.

01:10:28.720 Who would have thunk it?

01:10:30.060 Now, some of the things that are up, by the way, coffee, and that's not because of tariffs

01:10:34.780 or anything else.

01:10:35.880 And, and beef, you know, there's another one.

01:10:37.600 That's again, there are multiple circumstances for that, but it has nothing to do with, with

01:10:43.300 tariffs.

01:10:43.940 And, and, and, uh, by the way, the eggs, that was a big, that was a big one.

01:10:47.700 And, and the reason that eggs were so expensive at the time were because they were killing

01:10:54.440 all the chickens, you know, the bird flu and whatnot.

01:10:58.620 I'm not saying you, you don't have to take that seriously.

01:11:01.020 That's not what I'm getting at.

01:11:02.140 But at, at the end of the day, um, look, it might be important that we don't, you know,

01:11:10.560 just willy nilly go in and, uh, and, and, and off all the chickens. 0.99

01:11:16.340 Because let's say you end up with $10 a dozen eggs.

01:11:19.200 It's, it just, it, uh, it's, it's obvious to anybody who's paying attention to anybody

01:11:25.000 who's got a couple of brain cells clicking together there.

01:11:28.840 You get it.

01:11:29.420 You, you, you understand.

01:11:31.020 And gas prices, again, another big one, by the way, this is something that has to be

01:11:35.620 done.

01:11:35.840 The president did this a couple of days back.

01:11:38.520 I have been making this cause you've heard affordability.

01:11:41.220 That's the latest hoax, but previous to the Epstein thing yesterday.

01:11:45.160 But this, this, this, you have to do this and what he has done and what they must continue

01:11:52.240 to do.

01:11:53.360 I'll make a case for this coming back here in just a minute, but I will tell you has

01:11:57.380 to be putting this stuff.

01:11:58.780 And that is the news.

01:12:00.320 Good news front and center.

01:12:01.740 The other day he swerved.

01:12:03.920 He swerved the media like they've never seen, but they thought he was going to announce a

01:12:07.120 war with Venezuela.

01:12:08.800 He just came out and talked about how great the economy is.

01:12:12.680 Great.

01:12:13.260 Everything's going.

01:12:13.940 They're never going to say it.

01:12:16.240 In fact, you'll get in arguments with people on social media, these people that just will

01:12:20.780 not admit it.

01:12:21.900 I put gas in my tank in Michigan for $2.41 a gallon the other day.

01:12:29.340 $2.41 a gallon.

01:12:33.240 CNN even admitting record holiday travel meeting lower prices at the pump right now.

01:12:39.500 If you look across the country, there's 10 states where the average is below $2.50 a gallon,

01:12:46.020 right?

01:12:46.180 Including Louisiana, Texas, Wisconsin, Iowa, Colorado.

01:12:51.620 Oklahoma has the cheapest gas price in the country at $2.29 a gallon.

01:12:56.660 And this trend could continue at least for a bit.

01:12:59.540 GasBuddy is projecting that the national average on Christmas Day will be just $2.79 a gallon.

01:13:05.060 That would take out the low from last year, which was previously the lowest since 2020.

01:13:11.760 And GasBuddy says this will save drivers about a half a billion dollars over what they spent

01:13:16.760 last year.

01:13:17.700 Not each, collectively.

01:13:18.860 Not each, collectively.

01:13:20.100 Yuck it up.

01:13:21.900 But it's a huge number.

01:13:23.560 Half a billion dollars.

01:13:25.280 It's going to save everybody.

01:13:26.460 Just think about how much money you're saving.

01:13:31.300 I mean, where we were last year at this time was over, I think it was $3.20 something.

01:13:36.860 And if I can, $2.40.

01:13:37.940 That's almost a dollar difference.

01:13:41.340 Now, who knows?

01:13:42.060 Because Michigan's all over the map.

01:13:43.560 It'll go up and down every day.

01:13:44.700 They kind of, they have a way here, especially in West Michigan, kind of like moving things

01:13:49.580 up and down for various different reasons.

01:13:54.140 But I'm just telling you, this is the kind of thing they've got to continue to do.

01:14:00.240 I'm going to talk more about that here in a minute, because that should be moving into

01:14:03.880 the new year front and center.

01:14:05.280 I believe it is one of the core pieces of their strategy, because 2026 in the midterms,

01:14:11.240 we've heard all kinds of people talk about the problems or the issues or what they've

01:14:14.900 got to be careful about and what's happening.

01:14:18.900 As far as you have to understand, President Trump has already made this massive amount

01:14:24.300 of shift and change in just a few months, right?

01:14:28.640 I mean, we're talking less than a year.

01:14:31.820 Imagine what he could get done in four.

01:14:33.480 None of it gets done in the next several years if the Democrats take control back of the

01:14:43.120 House again in 2026 and put a stop to all of it.

01:14:45.760 It's just, we're going to be, again, we're going to be sitting in deadlock.

01:14:51.680 That's how important 2026 is.

01:14:53.980 And in order to make sure that these folks get elected, yes, we've got to actually see

01:14:59.860 good things happening.

01:15:00.820 But once they happen, you've got to tell people they happen, because the media is not

01:15:05.580 going to do it.

01:15:06.380 And Democrats certainly, certainly will.

01:15:10.420 They flat out lie to your face every day.

01:15:12.840 All right.

01:15:13.100 Back with more in minutes.

01:15:15.260 In fact, I got more good news on the Christmas Eve edition.

01:15:18.200 Justin Barkley in for Glenn today on the Glenn Beck program.

01:15:21.040 Back next.

01:15:21.560 A wise man once said, trust in God and always keep watch on the gate.

01:15:29.440 I don't know about you, but that sounds like a solid plan to me.

01:15:33.820 This is Glenn Beck.

01:15:35.380 Meet Bob.

01:15:51.800 He's 63 years old.

01:15:53.220 He spent 40 years as a body man and car painter.

01:15:56.140 Bob heard me talk about Relief Factor and decided, give it a shot.

01:16:00.340 Bob wrote in.

01:16:01.020 He said, Glenn, I could barely walk.

01:16:02.600 I couldn't make it up the stairs.

01:16:03.800 Day four or five, I began to feel the change.

01:16:07.940 But after just eight days on Relief Factor, I'm 75% better.

01:16:12.640 I'm comfortable and I'm thoroughly impressed.

01:16:16.020 These are the kinds of transformations that are common with Relief Factor.

01:16:19.420 In fact, two out of the three people who try it go on to order more month after month.

01:16:23.180 And I'm one of those people.

01:16:24.720 I wasn't banging on cars all day like Bob, but my pain was in my hands and it was debilitating

01:16:28.940 nonetheless.

01:16:29.660 I couldn't paint.

01:16:30.360 I couldn't write.

01:16:31.060 I was quickly losing hope.

01:16:32.500 And I feared the rest of my life.

01:16:34.640 I just have to live with the pain.

01:16:36.340 So if you're living with daily aches and pains, Relief Factor might be the real deal

01:16:40.240 for you.

01:16:41.140 Try the three-week quick start today.

01:16:42.660 It's only $19.95.

01:16:50.440 Justin at justinbarclay.com, B-A-R-C-L-A-Y.com, justin at justinbarclay.com.

01:17:07.760 Love to hear from you on the email on this Christmas Eve edition of the Glenn Beck program,

01:17:13.600 whether you're maybe preparing things in the kitchen or putting the last minute sort of

01:17:19.920 additions, wrapping things up.

01:17:21.860 Whatever it is, you're still going to or fro over the river and through the woods.

01:17:25.800 We're glad that you're here with us today.

01:17:27.240 Second time around the block, delayed third quarter numbers.

01:17:31.600 We're looking for 3.3.

01:17:33.860 Zoom, zoom, zoom.

01:17:35.920 4.3%.

01:17:38.040 4.3%.

01:17:39.480 That is a nice jump.

01:17:41.580 And I know many may question day the gathering, but on the surface, this would be the strongest

01:17:46.680 quarter going back to the third quarter of 2023 when it was 4.7.

01:17:52.940 This is strong.

01:17:54.080 3.5% on consumption blows away the 2.7% we were expecting.

01:17:59.300 That would be the best since the last quarter of 24 on the price index.

01:18:03.640 Here's some not good news.

01:18:05.340 This is 3.8% on the price index.

01:18:08.600 That's much higher than 2.7% we were looking for.

01:18:11.380 So, Annie, this is, I think, part of that conversation we just mentioned.

01:18:17.620 We're seeing grocery prices going down.

01:18:19.700 CNN even had to admit it.

01:18:21.180 You're seeing the gas prices, which is massive.

01:18:23.540 Let's be honest.

01:18:25.240 And this never would have happened under Biden.

01:18:28.600 Particularly never would have happened under Kamala.

01:18:30.960 It just never would have been a thing.

01:18:32.940 They were still in this wind, solar, and unicorn green pipe dream scam.

01:18:38.380 That's the world they lived in.

01:18:41.360 They were never coming out of it.

01:18:42.580 How dare you?

01:18:43.420 Now, the reason for that, and anybody that wants to argue, presidents don't control the price of oil.

01:18:50.820 Oh, they don't?

01:18:52.600 The policies don't?

01:18:54.380 It did nothing for the price when Biden emptied the reserves and never refilled them?

01:18:58.360 You're telling me the minute that Trump got elected and the prices started inching down that nothing happened?

01:19:04.420 Oh, and there is a, yes, I'll give you this.

01:19:06.780 There is a bit of an OPEC angle to this as well that does play into it as well.

01:19:15.180 But part of that is the relationship Trump has had with the Saudis and with OPEC.

01:19:22.060 And it's a completely different world.

01:19:23.600 So you've got to, you've got to, these are common sense.

01:19:28.160 A lot of these things appear, at least to me anyway, to be self-evident.

01:19:31.160 However, there are people that have shrimp arrangement syndrome and the rest.

01:19:35.540 They just will never admit.

01:19:36.860 They're never going to give him credit.

01:19:38.200 That's why the Trump administration, president himself, and the various other folks like me and, you know, Glenn and the rest of folks that are on radio and television, podcasts, et cetera, writers, these people that, if you're a bit, I mean, even a bit, they would just call you common sense.

01:19:58.220 If you believe a man's a man's a woman's a woman, that type of thing. 0.86

01:20:00.800 Just tell the truth and get these stories out there because the mainstream media will not.

01:20:09.700 They will bury it.

01:20:10.820 They continue, again, to sell now that this, all of the issues that we've faced over the past four years are somehow Trump's fault.

01:20:17.660 And that Trump is starting to have dementia-like symptoms just the way Biden did that they didn't mind.

01:20:24.160 It's just crazy.

01:20:25.380 They're trying to sell that.

01:20:26.600 They do it each and every day.

01:20:27.800 So the strategy has to be, if you want any success in 2026, is to continue.

01:20:34.140 I mean, the only way to get this to people is constant repetition.

01:20:39.320 Tell the story and tell it over and over again.

01:20:42.200 Just do the work.

01:20:43.160 You've got to do the work.

01:20:44.720 President Trump does a lot of this.

01:20:46.100 You see, heads down, there are so many things happening.

01:20:48.400 They're getting so much done.

01:20:49.540 But I've got to continue to make sure that everyone hears these stories and the good news over and over and over again.

01:20:59.940 Because we're inundated with so much of the bad over the last four years, it's hard to take it all in.

01:21:06.920 We'll do just that coming up in minutes as we've got more on the Glenn Beck program just around the corner.

01:21:15.720 Justin Barkley in for today.

01:21:17.060 Merry Christmas.

01:21:19.000 This is Glenn Beck.

01:21:47.060 and we'll be меся식.

01:21:48.680 Thank you.

01:21:58.920 Thank you.

01:22:00.820 Whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh, whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh

01:22:05.980 Whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh, yeah

01:22:10.060 Down the road where shadows hide

01:22:14.080 Feel the dark on every side

01:22:16.660 Stand your ground when times get dark

01:22:19.320 Gotta face the dark and embrace the fire

01:22:22.140 The fusion of entertainment and enlightenment

01:22:27.260 And this is the Glenn Beck Program.

01:22:34.300 A Merry Christmas Eve to you.

01:22:38.180 It's Justin Barkley filling in for Glenn today on the Glenn Beck Program.

01:22:41.520 And boy, oh boy, do we have a treat for you.

01:22:44.380 Coming up in the last hour of the program here, the big guy.

01:22:48.440 The big guy joins us coming up in just moments.

01:22:52.140 Well, who is that?

01:22:53.380 No, no, I'm not talking about 10% for the big guy.

01:22:55.580 But I'll explain coming up here in just a moment.

01:22:59.260 Something you will not want to miss.

01:23:00.780 Plus, the secret and the real story of Christmas you won't want to miss.

01:23:09.680 All on the way as we dig in.

01:23:11.880 Whether you're on a tour from, you're gathering goodies for a celebration you're headed to.

01:23:17.700 Or taking it easy on a day.

01:23:20.780 And we get ready to celebrate.

01:23:23.020 We appreciate you being here with us.

01:23:25.580 Back after this on the Glenn Beck Program.

01:23:28.080 You probably heard Relief Factor commercials where somebody says to his spouse regarding

01:23:36.280 his pain, you don't understand.

01:23:38.260 It's gone.

01:23:39.280 Well, Sharon told us that's exactly how she feels.

01:23:41.580 She wrote to me and she said, Glenn, Relief Factor has helped me so much.

01:23:44.420 I plan on taking it for the rest of my life.

01:23:46.540 I'm a walking testimonial.

01:23:48.640 For me, it was more like Tanya twisting my arm to give Relief Factor a try.

01:23:52.480 I heard about Relief Factor all natural created by doctors, blah, blah, blah.

01:23:56.400 I really agreed to try it.

01:23:57.820 Not in thinking it would work.

01:23:58.940 I just wanted to get her to stop telling me to do something and prove her wrong.

01:24:03.280 Well, she was right.

01:24:04.280 Again, of course.

01:24:05.240 And I got my life back.

01:24:06.980 Not only did I not have to live in pain, I could thrive again.

01:24:10.900 If pain has been holding you back, maybe it's time you found out why so many people just like

01:24:14.940 Sharon, just like me, make Relief Factor part of their daily routine. 1.00

01:24:18.000 Two out of three people who try it go on to order more month after month.

01:24:21.320 I'm one of them.

01:24:22.180 Try the three-week quick start today.

01:24:23.660 See how it works for you.

01:24:24.740 Visit relieffactor.com, 800-4-RELIEF.

01:24:27.480 That's 800-4-RELIEF. 0.91

01:24:30.600 800-4-RELIEF.

01:24:37.540 I told you we had the big guy standing by, ready to go.

01:24:42.540 I've been enjoying, I've been enjoying thoroughly the latest.

01:24:46.940 I think that are soon to be Christmas classics.

01:24:51.040 Tis the season to deport them.

01:24:54.680 Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la. 1.00

01:24:58.260 We love ice and we support them.

01:25:02.120 Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la. 1.00

01:25:05.820 Send them on one-way vacations.

01:25:09.560 Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la. 1.00

01:25:12.480 Ramp up those mass deportations.

01:25:16.740 Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la. 1.00

01:25:20.040 Wait, there's a second verse you're going to need to hear, too, coming up.

01:25:23.300 And first, let's welcome to the show Sean Farish, who's got his own show, Ungoverned,

01:25:28.140 on the Rumble Channel LFA TV weekdays today.

01:25:30.580 And thank you so much for being here with us, Sean.

01:25:32.520 I think I wanted to have you on because I think I absolutely love you.

01:25:37.440 I think the first time I saw you ever do something like this was, gosh, I don't know, maybe it

01:25:42.800 was TikTok, Instagram, something like that.

01:25:45.080 And I think you may have been going through drive-thrus, making orders of burgers or something

01:25:52.820 at McDonald's or something like that as the president.

01:25:55.520 And it just cracked me up.

01:25:56.920 And it has ever since.

01:25:58.180 So welcome in and Merry Christmas.

01:25:59.460 Hey, thank you so much, Justin.

01:26:02.380 Merry Christmas to you, too.

01:26:03.520 And yeah, a lot of the videos that started going viral at first were it was kind of like

01:26:10.480 our own version of Impractical Jokers, you know, the TV show.

01:26:13.460 Like, hey, go to the drive-thru and order this like Donald Trump.

01:26:16.180 And I was like, yeah, might as well.

01:26:17.480 You know, what's the worst that can happen?

01:26:18.680 Someone's going to spit in the food.

01:26:20.720 So, you know, I first started ordering like my friend's food and then started ordering mine.

01:26:27.480 And then people were like, hey, we got to do this, you know, come upstate New York and

01:26:31.560 do a drive-thru up here, too.

01:26:32.840 And I went to Arby's and it was a whole thing.

01:26:35.220 So, but it's a lot of fun.

01:26:36.960 And, you know, I appreciate the fact that you like it.

01:26:41.040 And this is the fifth year in a row that I've been doing Christmas-themed stuff around this

01:26:44.780 time.

01:26:45.760 I'll be dropping the night before Christmas.

01:26:47.960 I do it every year tonight.

01:26:49.160 But apparently the season to deport him was well-received by even the administration.

01:26:55.900 They wound up using it.

01:26:58.680 They wound up using it in a couple of videos where they took the song and they put it behind

01:27:03.500 a video of illegals getting handcuffed.

01:27:07.400 So I was thrilled to see it.

01:27:10.480 You know, it is great.

01:27:11.640 Let's, you know, get a couple of laps and it's worked out pretty well.

01:27:15.700 You kind of sound like the president a little bit.

01:27:17.800 We're talking to Sean Farish, who is, like I said, you kind of have that, a little bit

01:27:23.280 of that sound.

01:27:24.000 I mean, where did this, where did this kind of, how did you figure out you could do him?

01:27:28.500 Yeah.

01:27:28.840 One of my favorite questions ever, the origin story, right?

01:27:31.840 So, well, first of all, I'm from New York.

01:27:33.660 I grew up in New York.

01:27:34.560 So that kind of helps me.

01:27:36.220 I'm from Long Island.

01:27:37.360 So I grew up there.

01:27:38.420 He was obviously Donald Trump from Queens.

01:27:41.080 So, you know, similar kind of accent, similar thought process, personality.

01:27:45.640 Um, yeah, I, I, I pride myself on not really having a filter either.

01:27:50.560 So, uh, you know, when he ran for president in 2016, I was, uh, I was selling direct TV,

01:27:56.040 you know, satellite television.

01:27:57.760 And, uh, I was on Long Island doing that.

01:27:59.700 Um, and I would get a lot of questions because Long Island, um, you know, New York state,

01:28:03.940 Long Island is a, is a primarily red area, right?

01:28:06.780 It's more Republicans than Democrats there.

01:28:09.520 Um, and that's gotten, that's become, you know, the case even more so after COVID.

01:28:14.080 But, uh, I was selling direct TV and I would have people, you know, ask me, Hey, if I switch,

01:28:19.000 like, am I going to be able to keep Fox news?

01:28:21.220 It was the middle of an election year.

01:28:23.040 So I would look at them and I was like, well, we're never going to take that.

01:28:26.020 I would never make you watch the fake news.

01:28:27.840 We would never do that.

01:28:29.060 And right face to face with these customers.

01:28:31.340 You're like, what was that?

01:28:32.780 And I was like, you know, so they would, they would buy from me.

01:28:37.060 Right.

01:28:37.260 Cause they're having a good time.

01:28:38.220 It was like a, you know, very unorthodox sales pitch, but it was hard.

01:28:41.700 It was one, like I would get a liberal and they'd be like, yeah, MSNBC is one of my favorite

01:28:46.000 channels.

01:28:46.460 And I was like, Hmm, great.

01:28:48.220 You know, wonderful.

01:28:49.980 And so you'll, you'll keep that, you know, whatever.

01:28:52.780 I had to kind of bite my tongue, but yeah, I figured out I could do that when I was selling.

01:28:56.360 Cause I was just having fun, you know, selling.

01:28:58.020 I left that and went into a paint because it turns out, you know, paint is easier to

01:29:03.320 sell.

01:29:03.540 Everyone needs paint.

01:29:04.840 Not everyone needs satellite television.

01:29:07.360 But my contractors on Long Island were, were big Trump guys.

01:29:12.580 A lot of them, you know, these are blue collar guys.

01:29:14.540 They're running painting companies and they would come in and all of a sudden I would,

01:29:19.120 you know, I would tell them, well, I'll, you know, you're looking at it.

01:29:22.800 The paint puts itself on the wall.

01:29:24.580 It doesn't offend.

01:29:25.160 You don't even have to do it.

01:29:26.060 All you have to do is open the can.

01:29:27.380 And it puts itself on the wall.

01:29:28.780 It's the greatest paint the world has ever seen.

01:29:30.560 It's so great.

01:29:31.520 And they would, you know, laugh and all that.

01:29:33.540 So eventually through this movement that, that I had started on Long Island called the

01:29:39.060 loud majority and a friend of mine, Kevin Smith now does that co-founded it with me on

01:29:44.100 Long Island.

01:29:45.600 A friend of ours, when I was out knocking doors for a, a New York city council candidate,

01:29:52.560 trying to get her on the ballot, the primary, who she wound up winning the election. 0.98

01:29:55.780 And, and she currently serves, uh, you know, on the New York city council, a friend of mine

01:30:00.880 was like, Hey, you got to do that Trump impersonation on Tik TOK.

01:30:03.960 And I said to him, Jimmy, I don't, you know, I get along well with China, but I don't want 1.00

01:30:08.160 to put the app.

01:30:09.000 I don't want to do China.

01:30:10.120 We don't want to, he goes, no, you have to do China.

01:30:11.980 You got to go on that app and you have to do it.

01:30:13.580 And so I started doing that and that's where it took off.

01:30:16.860 People eventually traced to the name captain deplorable, which was my Tik TOK username

01:30:22.080 to, to be on X.

01:30:24.620 And, uh, and now, you know, now that's where most of my content is, but we're having fun

01:30:29.260 this holiday season.

01:30:29.960 That's for sure.

01:30:30.920 What is it about some of these words there that China, you just mentioned, that's, that's

01:30:36.620 a big one.

01:30:37.040 I love to do that too.

01:30:37.960 I'm not, I'm not a Trump impersonator, uh, you know, I'm not skilled like you are, but

01:30:43.600 I like to say China. 0.67

01:30:44.800 I don't, I think it's fun.

01:30:46.020 I love to hear him say it, you know, and I'm, and I love to play, like, I'll play him.

01:30:50.460 How dare you?

01:30:51.200 No, that's Greta. 0.78

01:30:51.960 Here, here he is.

01:30:52.720 Come on, man.

01:30:53.320 No, that's Biden.

01:30:54.240 Hang on.

01:30:54.680 Let me get, here we go.

01:30:55.820 China.

01:30:57.080 There you go.

01:30:58.560 But you know, I've noticed, I've noticed that, um, he, he's got a new word that's really

01:31:05.520 kind of, and I think it's when he's trying to make a point.

01:31:07.960 He does this, but have you noticed him do the China thing with Somalia now?

01:31:13.440 Yeah.

01:31:14.180 Somalia.

01:31:14.780 He does that all the time.

01:31:15.920 It's great.

01:31:16.620 I love it.

01:31:17.860 I love it.

01:31:19.000 He was doing this in his, in his speech.

01:31:21.020 He was like, and then they're from Somalia.

01:31:23.980 And I'm like, ah, yes.

01:31:26.240 Another country that he says funny.

01:31:29.120 This is great.

01:31:30.380 Uh, so he also does that.

01:31:32.300 He does.

01:31:32.880 He's got Russia too.

01:31:33.980 He's right.

01:31:34.800 Right.

01:31:35.100 It's like, it's the same thing.

01:31:36.260 So it was, it was funny.

01:31:37.600 Cause I did like a years ago, one of my, uh, one of my, uh, like work trainings.

01:31:42.760 And I was doing this, uh, bunch of strangers across the country, working for the same company.

01:31:47.180 You know, you go to a training thing and we were out to dinner and I just started doing

01:31:50.980 that at the table.

01:31:51.900 We were, and I was like, all right, everybody, it's time for Trump lessons.

01:31:54.820 We're going to talk about the three most commonly referred to countries by Donald Trump.

01:32:00.240 I said, Russia, China, and Mexico.

01:32:02.840 So, and we just started going through the whole thing at the table.

01:32:05.920 It was a table for like 40 people and they were just dying.

01:32:09.540 Um, so yeah, it's funny when he talks about other, other countries, but yeah, Somalia

01:32:14.640 is the one right now that he's kind of, he's got trademarking.

01:32:18.340 It's kind of like China 2.0, the way he says it is funny. 0.99

01:32:21.240 Sean Ferris with us right now.

01:32:22.520 Have you had a chance to meet the president and to do this for him?

01:32:25.680 As a matter of fact, I did.

01:32:28.060 So in August of, uh, of 2023, I went to a fundraiser at Bedminster in New Jersey.

01:32:34.620 So we flew up from Tennessee, went to Bedminster, uh, for a J6 foundation, Patriot Freedom Project.

01:32:40.020 Uh, and, um, he, we didn't know if he was going to show up, but you know, I, I supported

01:32:44.960 January Sixers and getting justice for them for a while.

01:32:47.880 It's, you know, it was the right thing to do.

01:32:49.220 And, um, I knew a bunch of people who were at J6, I was at J6, I didn't get in any trouble,

01:32:54.080 you know, it was nowhere near the breach, but I was in DC on January 6th.

01:32:58.400 Um, so I went to this fundraiser, long story short, he did show up and he gave this speech

01:33:03.200 and, uh, the founder and president of the Patriot Freedom Project stopped him as he was

01:33:07.700 leaving the podium, but secret service wasn't necessarily thrilled with, but she stopped

01:33:12.580 him and she said, Mr. President, that young man right there has got something to say to

01:33:15.520 you.

01:33:15.680 And it's pointed at me.

01:33:16.600 And I was like, okay, I guess it's time.

01:33:19.460 So I jumped up on the stage and, uh, he was, I don't know, about 10 feet to my right, if

01:33:24.020 that.

01:33:24.640 And I just looked at him, I said, Mr. President, we're going to help you win in the landslide

01:33:29.000 worse than Chris Christie after Taco Bell.

01:33:31.320 And he thought that was the funniest thing in the world.

01:33:34.000 Um, you know, shook my hand, he laughed, the whole room went crazy.

01:33:38.140 Um, so yes, I did get a chance to meet him then.

01:33:41.060 And, uh, I met him again last year at, uh, the Bitcoin conference in Nashville.

01:33:46.260 The crypto conference.

01:33:47.800 And then, um, I haven't met him since, or even really been near him since, uh, obviously

01:33:53.240 he's pretty busy right now.

01:33:54.480 But, um, in October, in October, we had the Schumer shutdown and the sombrero memes started

01:34:01.080 going viral.

01:34:01.760 So I popped the sombrero on and, uh, I called it the Schumer siesta instead of the shutdown

01:34:07.440 and started speaking Spanish and doing all this.

01:34:10.120 So he actually wound up reposting that video.

01:34:13.440 It's just like, okay.

01:34:15.040 So, you know, this white house has a great sense of humor and, uh, you know, mixed with

01:34:18.960 the results that we're getting, I think it's great.

01:34:20.460 It's only been, you know, it's been less than a year.

01:34:22.080 It's almost been about a year.

01:34:22.940 Uh, I don't think we're ever going to have another president like him and, uh, definitely

01:34:27.080 been enjoying it thus far.

01:34:28.340 Yeah.

01:34:28.860 It is something else.

01:34:30.340 There is, that's the thing about it is there is no other that's been quite like him.

01:34:35.560 I think they broke the mold, um, at least in entertainment.

01:34:38.560 And I don't know, you know, uh, clearly when you're looking at the, the accomplishments

01:34:44.320 of the things that he's been able to get done and how fast he's been able to do them.

01:34:47.800 I just, there, there's just no comparison.

01:34:50.260 Um, and I think a lot of times people really need reminding of that, especially as we moved

01:34:55.820 into 2026.

01:34:56.840 Now, look, I know it's not all just impersonations, funny games.

01:34:59.440 You comment on this stuff too.

01:35:00.700 So, you know, we were just talking about that, but I want to ask you when we move into 2026

01:35:05.020 and all the good things that we just had, the GDP numbers, the gas prices are down, groceries,

01:35:09.300 we see those numbers moving back down as well.

01:35:11.580 All the big things, obviously closing the border, uh, trying to get some of these folks out 1.00

01:35:16.120 that are here and, you know, all of these stories that we hear in a daily basis, you

01:35:20.000 and I hear them because we're paying attention, but how important is it to make sure that those

01:35:24.820 continue to get amplified, the pushed out that the regular average everyday Joe's hear

01:35:29.120 about them too?

01:35:30.740 That's very important.

01:35:31.840 And the number one thing that I like to focus on, um, is, is the border.

01:35:36.340 That's always been my number one issue.

01:35:38.100 Uh, you know, back, the way back to 2016 and I was actually in a college class.

01:35:42.200 I, I, uh, minored in political science, but in one of my college classes, I drove a bunch

01:35:47.080 of liberals nuts in the back corner of the room because I raised my hand and I knew I

01:35:50.860 was going to 2012, right?

01:35:52.100 Since before Trump was running, Romney was running.

01:35:54.460 And I asked my professor who happened to be a conservative professor.

01:35:57.920 And I just said to him, Hey, do you think we could, you know, create jobs and solve

01:36:01.820 immigration by building a wall on the Southern border?

01:36:04.100 My idea.

01:36:04.780 All right.

01:36:05.000 So he stole it from me.

01:36:05.860 You're welcome, Mr.

01:36:06.480 President, my idea, but, but, um, you know, but I did that. 0.99

01:36:10.700 They went crazy, you're a racist, you're this, and they went nuts in this college 0.99

01:36:13.660 class. 1.00

01:36:14.020 And my professor knew I did that just to make them go nuts. 0.86

01:36:16.380 And he was like, did you do that to make them go crazy? 0.50

01:36:18.220 I was like, yeah.

01:36:19.120 He goes, okay, cool.

01:36:20.320 So, uh, you know, there's no similarity.

01:36:22.360 I love the troll.

01:36:22.880 We call it, we do a little trolling, right?

01:36:24.980 But I love the border, the, uh, the, the success that we've had on the border.

01:36:28.960 Immigration is my number one issue. 0.97

01:36:30.240 And, you know, they talk about affordability, affordability, affordability.

01:36:33.480 When you have 10, 20, 30, 40, potentially million illegal aliens in this country competing

01:36:39.820 for, you know, uh, you know, competing for resources, housing, healthcare, transportation,

01:36:45.380 you know, et cetera, you're going to drive the, you're driving the demand for that way

01:36:49.300 up.

01:36:49.500 You can drive the cost of it way up.

01:36:51.040 And that's exactly what we're seeing.

01:36:52.700 So people are like, you know, how do we plan on addressing the affordability crisis?

01:36:56.180 I said, well, mass deportations.

01:36:57.580 And there are people who don't understand that both go hand in hand.

01:37:00.700 And that's part of the problem, right?

01:37:02.860 Um, I think folks are starting to get it now a little bit because you say, Hey, if you

01:37:06.940 have 20 million or 30 million illegal aliens in the country and they all need a place to 1.00

01:37:11.760 live, well, Americans and, you know, legal residents need a place to live too.

01:37:15.300 And so we're all competing for the same stuff.

01:37:17.300 It's going to drive the cost up.

01:37:18.420 So that's number one.

01:37:19.880 Um, but there was a poll that came out by Harvard Harris.

01:37:22.560 It's no friend of the administration, right?

01:37:24.300 I mean, it's a left-leaning pollster and, uh, it's, it's, it's a, a, an illuminating,

01:37:29.520 very, very, uh, important poll.

01:37:32.540 It said that, uh, 60% of, of voters across the country, 60%, uh, want the Democrats to

01:37:40.560 stop with the TDS.

01:37:42.520 In other words, the question was, do you think Democrats should take a wait and see attitude

01:37:47.420 with Donald Trump's policies, or should they just blindly oppose?

01:37:50.540 And 60%, almost two thirds said they would rather see, uh, Democrats take a wait and

01:37:56.880 see.

01:37:57.280 So obviously Republicans, the majority, overwhelming, uh, majority of Republicans said, yeah, let's,

01:38:02.680 uh, you know, they should take a wait and see, but independents did as well.

01:38:05.620 62% of independents said that Democrats should take a wait and see approach.

01:38:09.980 The Democrats were the only group, you know, in those splits that said that, you know, they

01:38:14.400 support the majority of them support blindly opposing Trump.

01:38:17.280 And so it sounds like the country is starting to get a little fed up with this, you know,

01:38:22.900 we're going to obstruct everything he does.

01:38:24.880 Remember Donald Trump won the popular vote.

01:38:27.800 The majority of the country wanted to see if his ideas were going to work and the Democrats

01:38:33.340 are standing in the way of that.

01:38:34.680 And I think people right now are getting a little fed up.

01:38:37.640 So going into 2026, you know, I think that's an important thing to, to understand.

01:38:42.240 And we can hit on this sentiment here between independents and Republicans are, Hey, you

01:38:47.180 got to give our guy a chance.

01:38:48.460 He won with a mandate, uh, and he won convincingly and you're obstructing it.

01:38:53.760 You're obstructing the will of the people.

01:38:55.140 And that's not cool.

01:38:56.260 So, uh, you know, we got to hit that hard and I'm looking forward to doing that in the,

01:38:59.580 in, in the next year.

01:39:01.520 Sean Farish does it on the, on the show, by the way, you can check him out over on rumble

01:39:06.940 and, uh, it's called ungoverned on LFA TV there on rumble.

01:39:10.740 And also, uh, Oliver on X as, uh, Sean underscore Farish, F A R A S H. Uh, and we appreciate

01:39:20.340 you taking the time, Sean.

01:39:21.520 Thank you, man.

01:39:22.000 We'll have to, we'll have to get together again.

01:39:23.680 Love, uh, love the conversation and love, definitely love the Christmas carols.

01:39:28.400 Oh, thank you so much.

01:39:29.500 You have a Merry Christmas, a happy new year.

01:39:31.320 And, uh, we will, we will talk soon.

01:39:33.600 Thank you.

01:39:34.160 You got it.

01:39:34.840 Merry Christmas, Sean Farish.

01:40:58.600 Love to hear from you.

01:40:59.240 Questions, comments, concerns.

01:41:01.260 By the way, I got more.

01:41:03.260 The hoax is revealed.

01:41:04.720 I got another piece of that I got to get to in just a moment.

01:41:07.240 Plus some good news.

01:41:08.240 What happens at a grocery store at the height, the peak of insanity, the craziness of Christmas

01:41:13.500 shopping, et cetera, and all the cash registers go down?

01:41:17.260 Well, one grocery store, what happened, may surprise you, but it just might warm your heart

01:41:23.340 this holiday season.

01:41:24.820 Feliz dipordad.

01:41:28.380 Feliz dipordad.

01:41:31.680 Feliz dipordad.

01:41:33.680 Prospero viaje y no vuelvas.

01:41:36.520 Have a safe trip and don't come back is what Sean Ferris was singing there.

01:41:40.840 We're going to get you out of our country. 0.99

01:41:44.320 Get those bad hombres out of our country. 1.00

01:41:47.600 All right. 1.00

01:41:48.240 Get everyone the hell out of our country and we'll never let them back. 1.00

01:41:54.080 All right. 0.95

01:41:54.720 All right.

01:41:55.280 Just a little bit of the holiday.

01:41:58.340 If we can, anyway, just a little bit of the holiday favorites and fun.

01:42:02.680 We've had a great show today.

01:42:05.320 Just enjoy being with you as always.

01:42:07.560 It's always an honor.

01:42:08.700 It's a pleasure to be here with you and give you the truth, logic, and common sense.

01:42:15.200 And this, this is just a little taste of the latest from Democrats in the collusion with

01:42:20.500 the mainstream media.

01:42:21.700 The folks at MRC put it together.

01:42:23.940 It is how you say, what, whether some people say, some people, that's the some people say hoax.

01:42:30.580 Listen to this.

01:42:32.560 Some people.

01:42:34.120 Say they're satisfied with the administration's answers on that September 2nd strike that some

01:42:39.040 have called a war crime.

01:42:40.280 September 2nd double tap strike.

01:42:43.080 Some say could be a war crime.

01:42:45.100 Some are calling the strike a war crime.

01:42:47.100 I mean, we have a secretary of defense.

01:42:48.860 Some are accusing of a war crime.

01:42:50.360 You know, that's so funny because you could say this about anything and anyone and not

01:42:53.480 have to have any actual credible source of that anything.

01:42:56.900 You know, some people.

01:42:57.840 Some people are using the phrase when they think, the question of, is this a war crime?

01:43:02.380 Some people think you're delusional.

01:43:03.800 People attack on a suspected drug boat that some are calling a war crime.

01:43:07.940 Some people think you ought to get some help for that TDS, folks.

01:43:11.540 I'm just saying.

01:43:12.440 Some people think.

01:43:13.160 Actually, most people do.

01:43:16.000 Oh, just hilarious.

01:43:17.640 So I'll put that up in my stack today.

01:43:19.980 Back with more.

01:43:21.060 This is Glenn Beck.

01:43:24.700 Give the gift they'll actually use this holiday.

01:43:27.740 Peace of mind.

01:43:29.000 Skip the sweater.

01:43:29.720 Skip the tie.

01:43:30.360 Give people you love something that protects them.

01:43:32.700 Give them a Burna. 0.97

01:43:33.760 B-Y-R-N-A. 1.00

01:43:35.240 Burna is the world's leader in less lethal personal defense.

01:43:40.000 It's concealable.

01:43:41.040 It's powerful.

01:43:41.620 And the newest Burna Compact fits in your pocket or your purse while delivering real stopping

01:43:46.660 power up to 60 feet.

01:43:53.180 I carry one.

01:43:54.080 I recommend everyone in my family have a Burna.

01:43:56.580 I got one for everyone in my family.

01:43:59.040 And it's legal in all 50 states. 0.99

01:44:10.200 up to 40 minutes.

01:44:11.700 So give safety.

01:44:12.520 Give confidence.

01:44:13.320 Give Burna. 1.00

01:44:33.580 It's a new era, days of ash, history, Glenn AI, and a community built for truth seekers.

01:44:56.040 And it all begins January 5th at Glenn Beck dot com.

01:45:00.380 And welcome back.

01:45:04.060 Justin Barkley in today for Glenn on the Glenn Beck program in a very special Christmas Eve edition.

01:45:10.220 There's only really one left thing to do here today.

01:45:14.180 And that's to share with you something very special.

01:45:18.320 The real true story of Christmas.

01:45:23.040 For a child will be born to us, a son will be given us, and the government will rest upon his shoulders.

01:45:36.580 His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.

01:45:44.300 There will be no end to the increase of his government or a peace on the throne of David and over his kingdom to establish it and uphold it.

01:45:56.800 With justice and righteousness from then on and forevermore, the zeal of the Lord of hosts will accomplish this.

01:46:04.560 God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a village in Galilee, to a virgin named Mary.

01:46:13.880 She was engaged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of King David.

01:46:21.120 Gabriel appeared to her and said,

01:46:24.380 Greetings, favorite one.

01:46:26.780 The Lord is with you.

01:46:28.860 Confused and disturbed, Mary tried to think what it could mean.

01:46:32.360 Don't be frightened, Mary, the angel told her.

01:46:36.100 God has chosen to bless you.

01:46:39.000 You will become pregnant and have a son, and you are to name him Jesus.

01:46:47.380 He will be very great and be called Son of the Most High.

01:46:53.300 But Mary asked the angel,

01:46:54.640 How can I have a baby? I'm a virgin.

01:46:58.080 And the angel replied,

01:46:59.360 The Holy Spirit will come upon you.

01:47:03.100 The power of the Most High will overshadow you.

01:47:06.800 So the baby born to you will be holy,

01:47:10.180 and he will be called the Son of God.

01:47:16.520 While Mary was still a virgin, she became pregnant by the Holy Spirit.

01:47:21.580 And Joseph, her fiancé, decided to break the engagement quietly,

01:47:25.240 so as not to disgrace her publicly.

01:47:28.320 As he considered this, he fell asleep.

01:47:31.480 And the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream.

01:47:35.720 Joseph, son of David, the angel said,

01:47:39.200 Don't be afraid to go ahead with your marriage to Mary.

01:47:43.600 For the child in her has been conceived by the Holy Spirit.

01:47:47.340 She'll have a son, and you are to name him Jesus.

01:47:52.920 For he will save his people from their sin.

01:47:55.680 All of this happened to fulfill the Lord's message through his prophet.

01:48:00.560 Behold, the virgin will conceive a child. 0.98

01:48:04.620 She'll give birth to a son, and he will be called Emmanuel,

01:48:09.400 meaning God, with us.

01:48:12.240 This prophecy from Isaiah 7.14 was given 700 years before Jesus was born.

01:48:22.540 When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel the Lord commanded him.

01:48:27.440 He brought Mary home to be his wife,

01:48:29.960 but she remained a virgin until her son was born.

01:48:34.020 At that time, the Roman Emperor Augustus decreed

01:48:37.380 that a census should be taken throughout all the Roman Empire.

01:48:40.620 All returned home to their hometowns to register for the census.

01:48:46.160 Because Joseph was a descendant of King David, 0.93

01:48:48.680 he had to go to Bethlehem in Judea, David's ancient home.

01:48:54.460 He traveled from the village of Nazareth in Galilee

01:48:57.280 and took with him Mary, his wife, who was great with child.

01:49:02.220 And while they were there, they came time for the baby to be born.

01:49:06.280 She gave birth to her first child, a son,

01:49:12.380 and wrapped him in swaddling clothes and lied him in the manger.

01:49:18.260 That night, there were shepherds in the field outside the village

01:49:21.580 guarding their flocks of sheep.

01:49:23.800 And suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them,

01:49:27.280 and the radiance of the Lord's glory surrounded them.

01:49:30.300 They were terribly frightened, but the angel reassured them,

01:49:35.820 Do not be afraid, he said.

01:49:37.960 I bring you good news of great joy for everyone.

01:49:42.700 The Savior, yea, the Messiah, the Lord,

01:49:46.440 has been born tonight in the city of David,

01:49:49.200 and this is how you'll recognize him.

01:49:52.660 You'll find him, a baby in a manger,

01:49:55.460 wrapped in swaddling clothes.

01:49:57.200 Suddenly, the angel was joined by the vast host of heaven,

01:50:01.960 the armies praising God and saying,

01:50:04.860 Glory to God in the highest,

01:50:07.340 and on earth, peace, goodwill to men.

01:50:13.080 The angels left, and the shepherds said to each other,

01:50:17.060 Come, let us go to Bethlehem and see this wonderful thing that has happened

01:50:20.820 that the Lord has told us about.

01:50:23.120 So they ran to the village and found Mary and Joseph.

01:50:25.880 And there was the baby, lying in the manger.

01:50:31.080 The shepherds told everyone what had happened

01:50:33.440 and what the angel had said about the child.

01:50:36.520 All who heard this story were astonished.

01:50:39.480 The shepherds went back to the fields and flocks,

01:50:43.320 glorifying and praising the Lord.

01:50:45.780 Jesus was born in the town of Bethlehem, in Judea,

01:50:50.800 during the reign of King Herod.

01:50:52.920 And at the same time came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,

01:50:56.580 asking, Where is the newborn king of the Jews?

01:51:00.080 We've seen a star that arose and have come to worship him.

01:51:04.580 Herod was deeply disturbed by their question,

01:51:07.400 as was all of Jerusalem.

01:51:08.940 He called a meeting of the leading priests and teachers of religious law.

01:51:13.860 Where do the prophets say the Messiah will be born?

01:51:16.540 He asked.

01:51:18.140 In Bethlehem, they said, for this is what a prophet wrote.

01:51:21.440 O Bethlehem of Judea,

01:51:23.300 you're not just a lowly village of Judah,

01:51:25.560 for a ruler will come to you

01:51:27.040 who will be shepherded for my people, Israel.

01:51:30.220 This prophecy, found in Micah 5, verse 2,

01:51:34.240 and 2 Samuel 5, and verse 2,

01:51:37.140 were both read in 700 years before Jesus Christ was ever born.

01:51:42.600 So Herod sent a message to the wise men,

01:51:46.100 asking them to come see him.

01:51:48.160 At this time of the meeting,

01:51:49.780 he learned the exact time when they first saw the star,

01:51:53.440 and he told them to go to Bethlehem,

01:51:55.220 search diligently for the child,

01:51:56.900 and when you find him, come tell me that I may worship him too.

01:52:02.300 After this meeting, the wise men went on their way,

01:52:05.560 and once again, the star appeared to guide them to Bethlehem.

01:52:10.440 It went ahead of them,

01:52:12.320 and stopped over the place where the child was.

01:52:15.500 When they saw the star, they were filled with joy.

01:52:18.240 They entered the house where the child and his mother were,

01:52:21.960 and they fell down and worshipped him.

01:52:24.740 They opened their treasure chests

01:52:27.600 and gave him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

01:52:31.020 But when it came time to leave,

01:52:33.000 they went another way,

01:52:34.920 because God had warned them in a dream

01:52:36.860 not to return to Herod.

01:52:40.800 After the wise men were gone,

01:52:42.460 the angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream.

01:52:45.280 Get up!

01:52:46.460 Flee to Egypt with the child and his mother, 1.00

01:52:48.560 the angel said.

01:52:49.880 Stay there until I tell you to return, 0.98

01:52:52.200 because Herod will try to kill the child. 0.58

01:52:54.740 That very night, Joseph left for Egypt

01:52:57.600 with the child and marry his mother. 0.86

01:53:02.460 They stayed there until Herod's death. 0.87

01:53:05.580 This fulfilled what the Lord had spoken to the prophet.

01:53:08.780 Out of Egypt I have called my son.

01:53:12.960 Herod was furious.

01:53:14.280 When he learned that the wise men had outwitted him, 0.99

01:53:17.060 he sent soldiers to kill all the baby boys 0.99

01:53:19.460 in and around Bethlehem 0.86

01:53:20.780 who were two years old and under,

01:53:22.900 because the wise men had told him

01:53:24.700 that the star had first appeared to them

01:53:27.020 about two years before.

01:53:30.200 Then later, when Herod died,

01:53:32.220 God's angel appeared in a dream of Joseph

01:53:35.040 in Egypt.

01:53:36.560 Get up!

01:53:37.220 Take the child and his mother, 1.00

01:53:38.560 and return to Israel. 0.96

01:53:39.920 All those who wish to murder the child 0.98

01:53:42.340 are dead. 0.97

01:53:45.360 So Joseph obeyed.

01:53:47.160 He arose and took the child and his mother

01:53:49.100 and reentered Israel.

01:53:52.200 When he heard, though,

01:53:53.720 that Herod's son had taken over 0.97

01:53:55.300 as king in Judea,

01:53:56.660 he was afraid to go there.

01:53:59.420 But then Joseph was directed in a dream

01:54:01.640 to go to the hills of Galilee.

01:54:04.220 On arriving,

01:54:05.600 he settled in the village of Nazareth,

01:54:08.460 thus fulfilling the words of the prophet,

01:54:11.260 for he should be called a Nazarene.

01:54:17.960 For God so loved the world

01:54:20.420 that he gave his only begotten son,

01:54:23.740 that whosoever believeth in him

01:54:26.080 should not perish,

01:54:27.700 but have everlasting life.

01:54:29.460 And this

01:54:31.340 is the story.

01:54:34.920 The story of Christmas.

01:54:43.060 The true story.

01:54:46.440 Merry Christmas.

01:54:49.320 Justin Barkley,

01:54:50.660 in for Glenn today

01:54:51.520 on the Glenn Beck Folkman.

01:54:53.860 Back right after this.

01:54:59.460 Here's a friendly tip.

01:55:01.480 Always drink upstream of the herd.

01:55:04.460 If you know,

01:55:05.700 you know.

01:55:08.580 Glenn Beck.

01:55:09.880 We are only a few weeks into winter

01:55:26.900 and already brutal cold,

01:55:28.840 huge snowstorms,

01:55:29.860 and of course,

01:55:30.280 power outages.

01:55:31.240 Think about this.

01:55:31.940 If the power goes out

01:55:33.100 when it's really cold,

01:55:34.460 do you have a way

01:55:35.040 to keep yourself

01:55:35.800 and your family warm?

01:55:37.160 Winter power outages

01:55:38.220 can even be life-threatening.

01:55:40.100 We learned this in Texas

01:55:41.100 not too long ago.

01:55:42.240 That's why so many Americans 0.90

01:55:43.620 are getting a Vesta

01:55:44.920 off-grid heater

01:55:46.080 from My Patriot Supply.

01:55:47.740 It's a space heater.

01:55:49.000 It doesn't use electricity

01:55:50.060 or propane.

01:55:51.160 It runs on something

01:55:51.840 called canned heat,

01:55:53.100 and it's an indoor safe fuel.

01:55:55.360 With Vesta,

01:55:56.380 if you have it stashed

01:55:57.280 in your closet,

01:55:58.080 you know you can keep warm,

01:55:59.400 keep your kids warm

01:56:00.120 no matter what,

01:56:00.860 and it even doubles

01:56:01.640 as a stove to cook your food

01:56:03.000 in case you have

01:56:03.480 an electric cooktop.

01:56:04.300 The best part is,

01:56:05.620 right now,

01:56:06.280 you can get the Vesta

01:56:07.240 and a bunch more

01:56:08.480 preparedness gear

01:56:09.380 as free gifts

01:56:10.460 when you order

01:56:11.140 the Winter Survival Kit

01:56:12.480 from My Patriot Supply.

01:56:13.940 Go to

01:56:14.340 mypatriotsupply.com

01:56:15.640 slash Glenn

01:56:16.300 and see everything

01:56:16.960 that's included.

01:56:17.920 The offer is not

01:56:18.500 going to last long,

01:56:19.240 so go to

01:56:19.580 mypatriotsupply.com

01:56:21.020 slash Glenn

01:56:21.760 mypatriotsupply.com

01:56:24.020 slash Glenn

01:56:25.040 Oh, I got a couple

01:56:37.860 of good news pieces

01:56:38.620 before we get out of here.

01:56:39.700 A couple more

01:56:40.240 that I thought

01:56:40.680 you'd like to know

01:56:41.400 and see on a

01:56:42.920 Christmas Eve edition

01:56:44.800 of the Glenn Beck program.

01:56:45.840 Justin Barkley

01:56:46.480 in for Glenn today.

01:56:47.700 Love hearing from you.

01:56:48.700 Thank you for the emails

01:56:49.680 and the folks

01:56:50.180 have sent those

01:56:50.920 through justin

01:56:51.580 at justinbarclay,

01:56:52.800 B-A-R-C-L-A-Y.com 1.00

01:56:54.800 You can connect

01:56:56.100 with me there

01:56:56.600 by the way

01:56:57.080 and all over

01:56:58.060 social media

01:56:59.480 I'm at

01:56:59.960 Mr. Justin Barkley

01:57:01.980 B-A-R-C-L-A-Y 1.00

01:57:03.440 But an 85 year old

01:57:05.800 widow in North Carolina

01:57:07.300 the story I thought

01:57:08.140 was just

01:57:09.280 absolutely incredible

01:57:10.600 had to share

01:57:11.320 the Christmas spirit

01:57:12.220 she asked a tree

01:57:13.740 removal company

01:57:14.520 for firewood

01:57:15.500 she couldn't pay for

01:57:16.620 the owner of the company

01:57:17.540 Paul Britton

01:57:18.280 not only delivered it

01:57:19.640 but he went above

01:57:21.380 and beyond

01:57:21.920 he did a couple

01:57:22.760 other things

01:57:23.380 for her as well

01:57:24.780 listen to this

01:57:25.880 This is Nana Abernathy

01:57:27.040 I was gonna let you know

01:57:28.620 that we're gonna give you

01:57:29.280 this load of wood

01:57:29.840 for free

01:57:30.280 I ain't coming back

01:57:31.160 for no money

01:57:31.720 You ain't gonna

01:57:32.940 I ain't gonna charge you

01:57:34.460 I'm gonna let you

01:57:36.420 have it for free

01:57:37.140 They call her

01:57:37.920 Nana Abernathy

01:57:39.120 Thank you

01:57:41.440 I know you said

01:57:42.280 that she was having

01:57:42.800 a rough time

01:57:43.400 and that's what

01:57:43.740 we try to do

01:57:44.340 we try to help

01:57:44.920 people out

01:57:45.520 and I wanted to

01:57:46.800 bless you before

01:57:47.380 Christmas

01:57:47.780 and we're not

01:57:48.240 coming back

01:57:48.620 for no money

01:57:49.020 That's the nicest

01:57:49.840 Christmas present

01:57:51.220 I could give

01:57:52.220 It's all for you

01:57:53.100 Can I get a hug?

01:57:54.200 Yeah

01:57:54.540 We're gonna talk

01:57:56.560 about the true

01:57:57.320 meaning right there

01:57:58.280 You know this is

01:57:59.720 an area that had

01:58:00.340 been hit pretty hard

01:58:01.200 by obviously

01:58:02.180 Hurricane Helen

01:58:03.000 and the Biden

01:58:04.580 administration

01:58:05.380 FEMA just

01:58:06.040 completely dropping

01:58:06.860 the ball

01:58:07.360 but many don't know

01:58:08.800 because the news

01:58:09.480 never told you

01:58:10.240 that Trump's FEMA

01:58:11.240 administration

01:58:11.800 went in and gave

01:58:12.600 those people

01:58:13.140 all the help

01:58:14.700 they could get

01:58:15.100 I think 90%

01:58:16.460 up back and running

01:58:17.380 to where they were

01:58:18.020 supposed to be

01:58:18.880 but people still

01:58:20.000 having issues

01:58:20.620 you know that's

01:58:21.400 that's part of

01:58:22.220 the recovery process

01:58:23.200 and even having

01:58:25.120 issues in any

01:58:25.980 day and time

01:58:26.700 an 85 year old

01:58:28.000 widow could always 1.00

01:58:29.460 use a hand

01:58:30.100 and that's just

01:58:30.980 what Paul the

01:58:31.600 owner of this

01:58:31.980 company stepped

01:58:32.560 in to do

01:58:33.000 Merry Christmas

01:58:33.680 I hope you have

01:58:34.360 a great Christmas

01:58:35.000 and a great holiday

01:58:35.780 and I hope the

01:58:36.480 Lord blesses you

01:58:37.240 by the way

01:58:52.720 didn't just stop

01:58:53.600 there

01:58:53.840 you know what else

01:58:54.460 they did

01:58:54.840 they also fixed

01:58:57.500 her car

01:58:58.180 they fixed her

01:59:00.580 roof

01:59:01.060 and her heating 0.62

01:59:02.880 and air conditioning

01:59:03.720 all at the same

01:59:04.380 time raising

01:59:05.640 $20,000

01:59:07.240 for her

01:59:08.620 for Christmas

01:59:09.620 what would you do

01:59:13.540 if you were in

01:59:14.540 Burleson Texas

01:59:15.560 at an HEB

01:59:16.520 trying to

01:59:17.120 feverish

01:59:17.960 grab everything

01:59:18.720 you could

01:59:19.160 for Christmas

01:59:19.740 and the lanes

01:59:21.640 were shut down

01:59:22.480 you couldn't

01:59:22.960 check out

01:59:23.560 it was

01:59:24.140 it was like

01:59:24.840 a mad scene

01:59:25.680 the folks

01:59:27.660 at the grocery

01:59:28.180 store decided

01:59:28.860 they were going

01:59:29.360 to do something

01:59:29.920 that's probably

01:59:30.800 unheard of

01:59:31.480 these days

01:59:32.160 alright guys

01:59:33.680 ATB

01:59:35.000 we love

01:59:35.520 having you

01:59:36.540 customers

01:59:36.980 thank you

01:59:37.540 for waiting

01:59:38.060 with us

01:59:38.680 unfortunately

01:59:39.600 the computers

01:59:40.820 are not coming

01:59:41.420 back up

01:59:41.900 right now

01:59:42.480 so today

01:59:43.440 everything that

01:59:44.240 you have

01:59:44.740 we are going

01:59:45.240 to back you

01:59:45.960 up

01:59:46.280 and we hope

01:59:46.980 every one of

01:59:47.680 you have a

01:59:48.160 very Merry

01:59:48.820 Christmas

01:59:49.320 and continue

01:59:50.580 to shop

01:59:51.100 with us

01:59:51.660 so thank you

01:59:53.120 so much

01:59:53.960 for having

01:59:54.860 with us

01:59:55.440 I don't

01:59:57.120 know if

01:59:57.340 you caught

01:59:57.720 that

01:59:57.960 but they

01:59:58.280 said

01:59:58.540 everything

01:59:58.900 you got

01:59:59.380 in your

01:59:59.600 cart

01:59:59.880 right now

02:00:00.560 is free

02:00:02.380 I want

02:00:07.560 to reach

02:00:07.860 over and

02:00:08.420 grab maybe

02:00:09.080 a few

02:00:09.480 candies

02:00:10.000 from the

02:00:10.420 aisle

02:00:10.740 through the

02:00:13.040 cart

02:00:13.540 no no no

02:00:14.780 but this

02:00:15.180 is an

02:00:15.460 amazing

02:00:15.920 story

02:00:16.520 and one

02:00:17.080 you rarely

02:00:17.980 hear things

02:00:18.860 like this

02:00:19.760 from a big

02:00:21.340 company

02:00:21.700 who says

02:00:22.060 we're just

02:00:22.860 going to do

02:00:23.260 the right

02:00:23.580 thing

02:00:23.780 or at

02:00:24.060 least a

02:00:24.540 manager

02:00:24.940 there

02:00:25.320 who

02:00:25.700 I'm sure

02:00:27.100 will go

02:00:27.420 viral for

02:00:27.980 all the
