00:05:35.280 farrow is a fraud and that the media is completely broken especially on this issue of sex abuse

00:05:47.120 matt lauer was the host and three very contentious interviews uh he did me no favors we were not

00:05:53.300 buddies uh but he respected my work and he knew i i was someone who would tell the truth regardless of

00:06:00.980 what the ramifications were for me uh that's kind of my been my reputation i'm i'll actually defend

00:06:06.120 people i don't even like uh if i think that they've been wrongly accused and i think my track record on

00:06:11.380 my track record on this is pretty outstanding and so i had kept in touch with one of his producers and

00:06:17.080 he had contacted that person to get in touch with me and i went across the country spent about five or

00:06:22.120 six hours with him and you you know me well enough to know glenn that when i do this this is this is not a

00:15:08.140 hours of conversation with matt lauer over the last seven months since this book came out and that's

00:15:13.120 that's probably a conservative estimate and uh i think the takeaways from his piece on mediaite

00:15:19.120 which is about five thousand words and could have been eight thousand words in fact it was at one

00:15:23.520 point close to eight thousand words i think the takeaways are are are this that that ronan farrow

00:15:30.440 had four people that were prominently mentioned in his book that are used to corroborate the

00:15:37.120 allegation of rape against matt lauer by a former mbc producer now let's be clear i think one of the

00:15:43.080 biggest misconceptions about this case is that somehow matt lauer was fired back in 2017 post me too

00:15:48.860 for a rape allegation that's not true what happened was that the brook nevels of mbc producer

00:15:55.940 came to mbc post me too in the middle of that moral panic and said i had sex with matt lauer in his

00:16:04.380 office in his dressing room and uh and they asked matt lauer is that true matt lauer said yes and in that

00:16:11.660 environment that was a violation of his contract they got a me too scalp which they needed mbc did because

00:16:17.840 they were under all this fire because of the weinstein situation and they had been accused of

00:16:22.080 killing ronan farrow's story when he was at mbc that's why he had to go elsewhere with it and so

00:16:26.900 they they decapitate matt lauer and there's all these stories that come out immediately after

00:16:32.180 because matt let's face it matt lauer made a lot of enemies uh when he was you know the king of

00:16:36.520 morning tv for a couple of decades and uh in one of the most bogus stories which i'm sure you probably

00:16:41.600 remember is this whole so posted uh a rape button that he had in his office you guys remember this

00:16:46.940 story i mean the biggest bunch of baloney anybody who's ever been to in a media office knows how

00:16:51.860 ridiculous this is uh just for the record everybody at that level had the same button it didn't lock

00:16:57.460 anybody in an office it locked people out in the office i mean just a nonsensical baloney the people

00:17:03.000 just latch on to because it fits a narrative that for some reason they want anyway so so matt goes away

00:17:19.600 major mistakes and then this book comes out late last year where brooke nevels has now decided to

00:17:35.860 they had uh sex several times after the alleged rape in sochi during the 2014 olympics um and to

00:17:43.500 me one of the most important things that i learned in all this is that matt lauer and ronan farrow met

00:17:48.080 before the book came out and when then when they met when matt lauer had a a friend who was a lawyer

00:17:54.100 there with him uh matt was shocked to find out that this was now an allegation of rape and that

00:18:00.360 ronan farrow actually told matt lauer that that brooke nevels had come to the belief that their

00:18:07.360 sex was an act of violence quote unquote in hindsight in hindsight now not just a day hindsight five years

00:18:24.200 a book that might have been published by ronan farrow's publisher i mean the the the conflict of

00:18:42.820 that ronan farrow effectively convinced brooke nevels that she had been quote unquote raped because

00:18:49.600 because ronan farrow needed a hook for his new book he had done the weinstein thing but that was old

00:18:55.620 news by the time the book came out he's he so what's he going to do he needs a new allegation

00:19:00.620 he needs a celebrity he would love to go after mbc because after all it was mbc that kept ronan farrow

00:19:07.100 down with his weinstein reporting he has a huge vendetta against mbc and so this kick this ticks

00:19:13.880 off all the boxes he gets a new allegation he gets a new target he goes after mbc and all of a sudden

00:19:20.400 matt lauer gets accused of rape and so at that at that point because ronan farrow is the golden

00:19:26.040 child and because the media is such a bunch of morons who and they don't care about the truth

00:19:37.160 no options and so that's how it came to be that yesterday he finally writes the real story of this

00:19:43.040 and he does not and it's also an incredibly important point out he goes out of his way to

00:19:47.620 not even mention brooke nevels in this story this is about ronan farrow this is about journalistic

00:20:20.900 photos she leaned over my desk i sexually assaulted her with my hands then he writes crying she ran to

00:20:26.700 the new guy to uh to uh that she had started seeing a producer who was working in the control room

00:20:33.700 that morning told him what had happened he he then asked did did pharaoh look for the new guy

00:20:41.060 she started seeing did he talked to her uh talk to him did he verify no but lauer did and i want to go

00:20:51.280 over some of that with john here in a second some of the things that uh pharaoh did not do that matt

00:23:06.940 this happen and matt lauer did and according to his story uh he had well while it was contentious at

00:23:14.840 first he spent hours with these people getting their their story and they don't match brooks story

00:23:22.040 or ronan's story yeah i think it's actually more ronan's story but it is it is technically brooks

00:23:28.280 story uh the the person who's accusing him now of rape uh well at the olympics in socia in 2014

00:24:03.720 he will make it appear to the reader as if a story has been verified by another party a witness

00:24:33.700 really the most amazing part is that in two of these cases these are ex-boyfriends of brook nevels they

00:24:39.180 have no animosity towards her they should have immense animosity towards matt lauer he's the guy

00:28:13.000 keys when you see someone who is on a story and they say that they don't really have it nailed

00:28:18.020 they say the worst is yet to come we've seen this with by the way with the virus right i mean in the

00:28:22.820 media the media is still waiting for florida to blow up any day now like linus and the great

00:28:27.680 patch i mean so when they don't really when they don't have the story nailed it's the worst is yet to

00:28:33.080 come and farrow dramatically on msnbc uh got nbc to release all women who ever signed a

00:28:41.380 non-disclosure agreement with nbc nbc said look if they feel like they're that we're keeping them

00:28:46.240 from speaking about uh their stories they are now free to talk we will not enforce nda's and that was

00:28:52.240 portrayed as oh bum bum bum all these women are going to start to come out and this my story about

01:10:14.580 would get a warrant to come in and conduct an investigation and he would cite me a thousand

01:10:18.360 dollars for violating the mandate um so basically operating a hazardous workplace and if i didn't

01:10:25.840 comply and shut my doors he would issue me a seventy thousand dollar citation so i i opened my doors

01:10:33.420 regardless and osha did indeed get a warrant and they conducted an investigation which i cooperated

01:10:39.160 with um i interviewed with them i provided documents and in the end despite all of my truthful answers

01:10:46.060 about my independent contractors he decided at the end of the week that those independent contractors

01:10:51.900 were employees and therefore i was operating hazardous workplace for my employees and he cited me fourteen
