00:46:16.140 But what he does is he takes his family with him, his lovely wife, his two gorgeous daughters, and his son.

00:46:24.400 Oldest of 15, 16.

00:46:27.860 She's the only 16-year-old I know that can drive a Humvee.

00:46:33.380 Thank God she can because she saved a lot of lives by just putting that sucker on the road and going out and picking up casualties and bringing them back to a field hospital that they had set up.

00:46:44.100 You know, there's a lot, as you and I both know well, there's a lot of groups out there that will provide medicine and food and water and the essential supplies.

00:46:52.020 But there's very few that will deliver them to the front lines of a conflict like this.

00:46:57.560 And that's what makes this guy so remarkable.

00:46:59.800 Dave walked right up to me one day.

00:47:01.300 We're up in the berm right around Mosul, getting ready to go into the city.

00:47:05.760 And a casualty load came in from across the berm, helped by the Kurdish soldiers, the Peshmerga.

00:47:13.500 And every one of these folks was badly wounded.

00:47:16.880 And Dave raced out there in the middle of no man's land to bring them back.

00:47:20.620 We've got one very remarkable scene in it.

00:47:22.880 In fact, it's part of the tease for the show where he spots a little girl who's the only survivor of one of these massacres by ISIS.

00:47:29.680 And she's wrapped in her mother's clothing.

00:47:32.200 And what Dave does, only Dave could do, because he knew who to call on the telephone.

00:47:37.240 He calls an Iraqi general, and the Iraqi general eventually loans him a tank.

00:47:41.860 And Dave races up behind the tank right up to where the kid is, can't get out because he has to cross an open space of about 50 yards.

00:47:48.180 And he gets on the phone with a U.S. Army officer and a Marine artilleryman, and they drop smoke in between Dave and this hospital that ISIS had taken over.

00:47:59.280 And it's an enormous fortress.

00:48:01.500 It's got anti-aircraft weapons, anti-tank weapons, lots and lots of guys with guns.

00:48:06.040 And with just that tank to protect him, goes right up to the edge of this battle, races out, grabs the little girl, and brings her back.

00:48:12.680 And the prayer he says just before he goes is as powerful as anything I've ever seen.

00:48:17.180 And he says, you know, afterwards, he said, I said, you're a hero.

00:48:21.360 He said, nobody ever wants to be a hero.

00:48:22.940 Nobody tries to be a hero.

00:48:24.660 And what, of course, a hero is is a person who puts themselves at risk for the benefit of others.

00:48:30.420 That's clearly what Dave does every single day.

00:48:33.340 He does it in Burma.

00:48:34.580 He's done it in South Sudan.

00:48:35.960 He's done it in Iraq.

00:48:36.780 He's done it in Kurdistan.

00:49:31.360 But now that we have distance from things and we see the world as you as you see what you went through in the 1980s and how the world worked.

00:49:43.840 How do you view that period of time compared to what we're going through now and what you're seeing happening in our country?

00:49:53.440 Well, frankly, I'm disappointed.

00:49:55.320 I'm disappointed to see that we I was blessed to work for a great president.

00:49:59.780 His goal right from the very beginning of his eight years was to end the evil empire.

00:50:04.320 And he did.

00:50:05.460 And of course, that finished in the in the in the administration of the guy we just buried here a couple of days ago, George Herbert Walker Bush.

00:50:15.080 I look at what we went through back in those days to eliminate one of the greatest threats to mankind that ever was, which is the evil empire, the Soviet Union.

00:50:24.320 And I look at what's happening today with terrorism.

00:50:26.780 I look what's going on in our border and I say to myself, the polarization in the city that where I have to go to work, Washington, D.C., the polarization is so great that a president, this president, cannot get the Congress to do what the Congress ought to do to protect our borders.

00:50:43.400 And a nation that has no borders is not a country.

00:50:47.220 I mean, the meeting yesterday with Pelosi and Schumer and the president of the Oval Office is is an example of how incredibly left leaning our Congress is today.

00:50:58.540 That's a shock to me, quite frankly, because I would have thought the American people did not want this kind of thing to be happening.

00:51:05.960 As I look at what's happening on our border and I've been I've been watching it for a while and I've been I've been comparing it to what's happening on the borders of Israel.

00:51:14.780 I believe that we are at the beginning of, you know, a almost a Palestinian little mini state there on our border where we are going to be used just like the Israelis are used by the media.

00:51:32.500 They were just they're going to attack.

00:51:34.420 They'll do things just to continue to bring America down to our knees.

00:51:39.280 I think we're in a I think we're in a really bad place to where you can't even recognize truth.

00:51:45.940 I mean, there are people who are refugees that should be allowed in.

00:51:49.680 But there are also people who wish us ill that should not be let in.

00:51:54.220 Well, and what you just point out, the Israelis did solve that problem.

00:51:58.320 They built a wall and dog on it.

00:52:01.620 You can't argue with the effect of it.

00:52:03.780 And it stopped the kind of terrorism that Israel is experiencing almost every day.

00:52:11.340 And at some point, they're probably going to have to build a wall around Gaza.

00:52:15.280 Look at the Iranians are stirring up trouble in that part of the world, the likes of which should never have happened, all because the last administration in Washington, D.C., let them get away with it.

00:52:24.380 In fact, help pay for some of it, gave gave money back to them that they use for that very purpose.

00:52:29.220 What's going on on our southern border is not the direct consequence of that.

00:52:33.200 But you've got to know that they're taking advantage of it.

00:52:35.400 And everybody that knows what's going on on the border, you've been there, I've been there, many of our listeners have been.

00:52:42.620 That open border is an abscess in the health of America.

00:52:47.300 And what we saw happening before the tear gas was used with rocks and bottles and feces being thrown at U.S. Border Patrol, it's an outrage, and it should not be happening.

00:54:07.040 You find a person who perpetrated it, and you give them justice.

00:54:10.680 In this case, you find a person, and then you go try to look for a crime that they committed.

00:54:24.040 And unfortunately, they allowed the appointment, and you're going to get what you're always going to get with these circumstances is they've got a person.
