01:12:40.920 prepared they are going to fight to the death so um these are not people i i wish we wouldn't have

01:12:45.540 been in bed with these particular kurds these are not the iraqi kurds who are very pro-democracy

01:14:00.580 not be able to maintain uh you know guard over them and the likelihood and actually bardadi last

01:14:07.420 month uh the the leader of isis uh made a plea for his fighters to go in and rescue all these

01:14:14.980 prisoners and get them released we are now already hearing of of isis in uh attacks or we're hearing of

01:14:23.240 uh uh suicide attacks uh not unconfirmed yet but i i'm not surprised i would not be surprised if they

01:16:37.440 foundation of it um the current president of turkey holds these views in his mind so what he's talking

01:16:45.740 about right now is is repatriating a lot of the refugees that are inside turkey into northern syria

01:16:52.580 and creating that buffer zone unfortunately most people don't understand that what he really wants

01:16:58.320 to do is he wants to rid of northern syria of any presence of christians or kurds and replace them

01:17:05.340 with arabs sunni arabs that have the same mindset because only 17 to 20 percent of the refugees currently

01:17:13.280 in syria are i mean in turkey are syrian arabs that are soon there that are sunnis so he's not going to

01:17:21.140 have a lot of refugees to work with and he's going to have to replace the rest of these gaps with other

01:29:52.700 doctor nunez last night what he talked about was very similar to the to the information the

01:29:58.120 intelligence community sources were telling me over the last 10 days it sounds like from what we know

01:30:03.740 that um uh the u.s embassy in kev uh may have been monitoring a handful of journalist communications

01:30:11.880 now they might be public communications like our twitter accounts and our you know our interviews or

01:30:16.700 they might have been private we don't know that um there are very specific rules in the state

01:30:21.700 department in the intelligence community governing this and it sounds like congressman nunez wants to

01:30:27.340 find out whether those rules are complied with or not whether this was an appropriate or inappropriate

01:32:10.420 attorney general of ukraine at the time did an on-camera interview it isn't in dispute he said it

01:32:14.440 and he said that uh in his first meeting with ambassador yovanovich in 2016 uh she gave him a

01:32:21.820 series of names of people she did not want uh to be prosecuted that was a sensational claim and so i

01:32:27.140 did the interview in february i spent an entire month checking it out before i actually allowed the

01:32:32.100 interview to run that doesn't get mentioned in any of these stories attacking me during that one

01:32:36.800 month time here is what i was able to do to corroborate what the uh ukrainian prosecutor general

01:32:43.060 had said to me first the state department and the ukrainians both gave me a copy of the same letter

01:32:48.520 it's an april 2016 letter it clearly shows the embassy in kiev instructing pressuring ordering

01:32:55.820 the prosecutor general's office not to pursue an ongoing investigation of a george soros funded group

01:33:03.440 called antac the anti-corruption action center of ukraine it's a george soros group it's funded

01:33:11.060 partly by soros partly by the state department that letter unequivocally shows in writing that the

01:33:17.720 state department pressured ukraine not to pursue an entity in addition the state department uh put a senior

01:33:24.960 u.s official on background for me prior to my uh writing the story and i gave them the names and

01:33:31.600 said these are the names that prosecutor general lucenko said came up in the meeting as people that

01:33:46.160 you that u.s embassy cab mentioned several of those names during conversations in 2016

01:34:04.380 letters showing such pressure being applied and now the the media and and their defenders are trying

01:34:11.540 to claim that that's a bogus story it's not it's been corroborated it's been confirmed and i hope

01:40:53.300 raising concerns which is when we have a diplomat on our our soil in ukraine their job is not to tell

01:51:40.480 himself ambassador chalet and i went to his press people and i said listen did this happen or not

01:51:50.200 happened and remarkably the ukraine embassy went on the record and said yes in fact the democratic

01:51:57.440 national committee operative the contractor named alexandra chalupa did in fact approach us

01:52:44.280 attack was that isikoff uh we don't know i suspect it is from an email which we're going to talk about

01:52:54.580 teluschenko but now his boss the ambassador has gone on the record saying yep that happened no doubt

01:53:34.620 ukrainian journalists on how they could go dig up dirt on paul manafort so there's a contemporaneous

01:53:40.460 email that seems to implicate chalupa and the very thing she's now denying and it really corroborates

01:53:51.360 politico and i'm i think it's pretty solid evidence and pretty well accepted i just saw the new york

01:56:24.680 her sources who gave her information on manafort that she then gave to her husband to give to the

01:56:29.720 fbi so we know from nelly orr's testimony at least one ukrainian government official provided
