00:01:05.260 the fusion of entertainment and enlightenment oh jesse is the glenbeck oh jesse you're so fine you

00:01:27.440 really blow my mind or something like that oh jesse oh jesse you know i don't know if i'm more

00:01:36.740 shocked at the fact that someone had the balls to do this or the fact that media still has no idea

00:01:46.900 no idea how these things just happen there's even an editorial today from the washington post

00:01:54.520 where the where the individual says i so want this to be true you want this to be true

00:02:03.900 we begin there in one minute

00:02:07.740 this is the glenbeck program all right i want to talk to you a little bit about car shield

00:02:15.740 i have uh i've i've made a new rule i'm never buying a new car again never buying a new car again

00:02:23.680 uh because why why buy a new car when you drive it off the lot it loses so much value let somebody

00:02:31.620 else do that now the problem with that is do you have a warranty when you buy a used car it's like

00:02:39.980 oh yeah no we'll we'll warranty this for uh you know 12 months the dealership uh or it's as is no

00:02:48.060 thank you i really what happens if something goes wrong what happens if the transmission goes wrong

00:02:53.740 i don't have 1800 bucks 2 000 bucks to fix that if you can't trust a used car dealer yeah what has

00:02:59.680 our country what has happened unbelievable the one bastion of trust we thought we had left

00:03:06.040 so anyway uh well here's what i want you to do uh i want you to if you have a car that has 5 000

00:03:11.560 150 000 miles on it doesn't matter if you don't have warranty you need one from carshield.com

00:03:19.440 they cover you know everything each warranty is different but you're gonna have to you know you'll

00:03:23.860 just check it out but when it is covered your sensor that's three thousand dollars uh no not anymore

00:03:31.980 it's actually uh free with carshield get your car covered so you don't have any gotchas and any

00:03:38.740 surprises because those are the kinds of things that we just can't deal with car shield call 1-800

00:03:44.620 car car 6100 that's 1-800 car 6100 mention the promo code beck or visit carshield.com and use

00:03:51.840 the promo code beck you'll save 10 it's carshield.com that's carshield.com

00:03:57.780 so here it is this is the way the media works now they find a story that confirms their bias

00:04:14.160 confirms their narrative and then they run it constantly relentlessly then when the real story

00:04:21.040 comes out they minimize the exposure of the correction and then they repeat

00:04:25.220 look look at the major stories that have broken recently that have been so very wrong that have

00:04:33.580 occupied so much of our time kavanaugh was that true nope turns out nope then you had uh the uh

00:04:45.340 covington story was that true nope look how they look at how they corrected both of those

00:04:52.220 just barely just barely just barely and i say well both of them would you even say barely barely

00:05:00.200 still because they were still saying they were they're guilty of something yeah i mean certainly

00:05:06.640 haven't uh corrected the kavanaugh thing i mean they just say that it was i mean i think they would

00:05:12.940 still say that one's true well i mean do you remember the fbi stories that came out afterwards

00:05:18.140 and what the fbi had uncovered that it was bogus that the people that were you can't you don't know

00:05:25.460 for sure because you know we're still going off of people's memories but it was her beach friends

00:05:31.200 that kind of helped shape this story yeah i mean i think all of these stories are stories that they

00:05:37.240 would still hang on to yeah yeah right so they're not really corrected they're not really corrected

00:05:43.340 let me give you the knee-jerk reactions that the media had uh on this uh jesse smollett uh hoax

00:05:51.180 this is from insider edition cnn e-news headline news cnbc tmz just to name a few listen beaten with

00:06:00.140 a noose around his neck and hospitalized empire star jesse smollett was the victim of a vicious

00:06:06.240 racist and homophobic attack his attackers hurled racial and homophobic slurs two people yelled

00:06:12.920 racist and homophobic slurs racial and homophobic slurs not only homophobia we're talking about

00:06:19.020 racism we're talking about hate with steroids they are looking for two suspects who are apparently

00:06:25.080 wearing make america great again hats the offenders uttered this is mega country the hate crime went

00:06:31.500 down early this morning in chicago officials are investigating the alleged assault as a hate crime

00:06:36.180 and now police say they're investigating this as a possible hate crime anyone attacked in a hate

00:06:40.980 crime like this is an outrage this is this is stomach turning mind boggling information it's out of

00:06:49.520 control it is out of control isn't it isn't it out of control now these are just the reactions on tv

00:06:56.860 it just as bad if not worse in some cases in print and online i'll give you one example

00:07:03.240 you know the situation is bad when tmz is connecting the dots and seeing through a guy's story it's tmz

00:07:10.420 listen to this quote the sources say there were red flags from the get-go cops were extremely

00:07:16.300 suspicious when jussie took them out to the area where they said he was attacked and pointed to an

00:07:21.700 obscure camera saying how happy that the attack was that the attack was on video well it turns out the

00:07:29.300 camera was pointing in the wrong direction caught cops thought it was weird he knew the location of

00:07:35.980 that camera and then there's this we're told investigators didn't believe the two alleged

00:07:42.200 attackers screamed this is maga country because not a single trump supporter watches empire end quote

00:07:49.320 now i'm sure there is one somewhere maybe probably not here's the man himself in an interview just days

00:08:00.660 after the alleged beating i'm sorry the alleged modern day lynching here he is in an interview with

00:08:07.800 abc news complaining about people making stuff up that i had said that they were wearing maga hats i never

00:08:14.360 said that i didn't need to add anything like that they called me a they called me there's no which way you

00:08:24.140 i don't need to cut it i don't need some maga hat as the cherry on top of some racist sundae i've heard

00:08:30.940 that it was a date gone bad which i so resent that narrative i'm not going to go out and get a tuna 0.97

00:08:41.240 sandwich and a salad to meet somebody that's ridiculous and it's offensive yes there's grinder yes 0.56

00:08:48.880 there's jacked yes there's all of these things which i have not been on in years i can admit that i was 0.84

00:08:53.800 on that back in the day i was single you know what i'm saying but i have not been on that in years

00:09:00.000 but aside from that it's offensive and i absolutely resent that narrative because it's bull it's bull

00:09:10.680 it's bull and he knows bull apparently

00:09:14.200 now he starts out play the first 10 seconds of that for me again please

00:09:20.740 that i had said that they were wearing maga hats i never said that i didn't need to add

00:09:27.320 anything like that stop huh here's a story from usa today the headline empire star jesse smollett

00:09:35.980 attackers yelled this is maga country during the beating chicago police blah blah blah you get down

00:09:41.880 to about eight paragraphs down and it says sergeant cindy guerra confirmed to usa today that small yet

00:09:50.640 said in a follow-up interview the next day that his alleged tackers yelled this is maga country

00:09:57.520 so apparently uh there was some confusion on whether or not he said it now he seems to be confused yet

00:10:06.360 and the chicago police said no no no he didn't say that then usa today called and said could you

00:10:14.180 check on that they checked on it said oh yep you know what the next day he did say that 0.84

00:10:21.020 so i guess he does need a little cherry on a racist sunday the problem is is he's the racist

00:10:30.240 let me give you let me give you a uh story from let me give you two uh stories from the uh uh the press

00:10:41.160 just this weekend there is a story from the washington post where uh the the writer now this is a this is an

00:10:51.160 editorial uh writer a uh a writer from the washington post an editor said she really

00:10:59.840 needs this to be true she needs this to be true what do you mean you need this to be true i want this

00:11:11.660 to be true i need it to be true does anybody remember after 9 11 when we started having copycats

00:11:21.040 remember when we started getting all kinds of powder sent to us and we were hoping hoping praying

00:11:29.260 that this was not an american copycat that this was somebody that was doing this that

00:11:35.520 we wanted to trust each other do we remember that feeling maybe it was just me who wanted that but i

00:11:43.240 don't think so you want to live in a country where this is true i want to live in a country where this

00:11:49.900 is not true now she went on to say because just think of the damage that will be done

00:11:57.480 which brings me to the second uh story this one from the new york times republicans are already

00:12:04.980 demonizing democrats as socialists and baby killers now this isn't related to the smollett case but yet

00:12:12.540 it is we're we don't believe the smollett case so apparently we just all group all of it together

00:12:23.140 we just we don't believe this guy so we're not going to believe any racism exists well that is

00:12:29.800 a danger of crying wolf however i don't think that's who the american people are

00:12:35.480 and look at how the new york times story this is not an editorial this is a story republicans are

00:12:43.040 already demonizing democrats as socialists and baby killers well i got news for you if the baby 0.97

00:12:50.200 is born and then you kill it what else would you be called if you believe capitalism is a thing of the past 0.99

00:13:03.480 and you believe that the government can run things better that's a socialist what else would you be called 0.98

00:13:13.640 jussie smollett wanted so badly to believe that americans were just homophobic racists that he had to 0.95

00:13:31.260 he had to hire two kenyans 0.97

00:13:34.120 to perpetrate this hoax on us i guess there are jobs that americans still won't do

00:13:44.480 now i don't i don't know how he could have possibly thought that one of them was named cletus

00:13:55.220 because they don't look like a cletus to me

00:13:59.200 he orchestrated this

00:14:03.540 i want to take a break and come back with just a list of all of the stories where people have been

00:14:12.800 orchestrating these things because that's exactly what's happening and the press doesn't get it 0.59

00:14:20.980 and it gets worse and worse and worse and if the press doesn't wake up we're screwed we're screwed

00:14:31.580 how's this going to fix any how's this going to be fixed

00:14:35.620 how are we going to come together if the press doesn't see their involvement but again they don't

00:14:46.420 want to see their involvement again it's just confirmation bias others are doing this we're

00:14:53.240 not involved at all yes you are

00:14:56.440 i'll give you the list of just the things that are directly correlated with this

00:15:06.880 donald trump is to blame because this racist thing happened and it turned out to be a hoax

00:15:13.520 we'll do that when we come back american financing corporation nmls 182334 www.nmlsconsumeraccess.org

00:15:23.640 bad time to be a renter according to new research the national average of rent rose 4.2 percent last

00:15:30.840 year if you feel that pain it's time to consider other options like buying a home with help from

00:15:37.260 american financing the salary-based mortgage consultants can customize a loan fit for your needs

00:15:42.620 and they can include options for down payment assistance now here's the thing trouble times

00:15:47.800 are coming so if you want a loan if you want to buy something now is the time to buy it but make sure

00:15:55.640 you're not reaching too far don't buy don't do what everybody does i want to buy this and then you end up

00:16:02.300 buying something that is out of your reach so many people do that's a huge mistake trouble times come

00:16:09.040 you need the loan that is right for you and this is what i love about american financing

00:16:14.140 they employ salary-based mortgage consultants so they don't work on commission they work for you so

00:16:20.280 they really listen and try to get the right loan for you i want you to call or visit americanfinancing.net

00:16:27.600 that's americanfinancing.net rates right now are historically low still it may be the best time

00:16:34.460 for uh to buy a home in a very long time to come it's american financing americanfinancing.net

00:16:42.280 americanfinancing.net or call 800-906-2440 that's 1-800-906-2440 americanfinancing.net

00:16:51.300 10 seconds station id

00:16:52.760 wait till you see the yale newspaper uh the yale newspaper has published a guide to quote

00:17:10.420 destroying white boys finally finally it's being done and i got a story from uh uh uh brian stelter

00:17:21.560 who's got a very brilliant thing to say today okay um cyber stalking making hoax bomb threats 0.95

00:17:31.640 ann arbor woman reported a hate crime she was suffering from depression and she said that she

00:17:45.340 had been prompted uh she had been attacked and she told the they i don't know why they they they

00:17:53.520 picked on me she said maybe it was a safety pin that she was wearing what does the safety pin 1.00

00:18:00.700 represent do you have any idea okay well somebody out there apparently knew what a safety pin meant 0.94

00:18:06.040 and didn't like that and so it's a hate crime well it turns out no nope she was just crazy uh she had 1.00

00:18:13.980 made a superficial scratch on her face uh and she was embarrassed about it um and so she said a uh

00:18:22.040 stranger had done it to her while she was walking and her friend said you should report it to the

00:18:26.900 police and i made a big mistake by doing that yep kansas state second time in two years racist slurs at

00:18:36.680 kansas state was a hoax officers received a report of a note using a racial slur posted on a door

00:18:44.880 in an apartment complex upon questioning the person who reported the incident admitted to creating and

00:18:50.500 posting the note to their own door the matter will be addressed they said uh but this was the one that

00:18:56.800 had the uh note beware and words live here remember that story yeah that was um that was a hoax uh how

00:19:08.400 about this one villanova villanova had a report of a black female student allegedly knocked down by 0.88

00:19:15.380 young white males yelling trump trump trump but the student doesn't want to pursue the matter

00:19:22.320 but wanted to make sure that it's hard to move forward it's hard to move forward

00:19:28.240 well yeah and it was hard for the university to move forward uh because uh it was fake

00:19:37.600 so they couldn't find anybody uh that had done that new jersey man arrested 58 years old

00:19:45.860 he was uh arrested in connection with racist and politically charged messages that appeared

00:19:52.760 spray painted on a property in south philadelphia on the day after the trump election he was um he was

00:20:01.120 arrested um because he wrote trump rules and trump rules black uh b words uh and the letter t i i guess

00:20:11.040 that's just i have no i uh no idea could have been a tea party uh could have been there's a lot of

00:20:19.360 things that could be fun yeah test low low t yeah low testosterone issue a report of a racist note on a

00:20:26.560 black a student's windshield this happened in minnesota a racist threat against a saint olaf student

00:20:33.920 that touched off campus-wide protest and forced the college to cancel classes earlier this month

00:20:39.500 was a fake according to this story a threat an anonymous typewritten note was fabricated

00:20:46.520 it was uh it was a strategy to draw attention to concerns about the climate the campus climate

00:20:54.220 uh it was not a genuine threat it was the note was tucked into the windshield of a black student's car

00:21:01.820 uh and uh it uh it it apparently uh you know well they were just trying to show that you know this

00:21:08.680 something something good has got to come out of such a bad thing uh but it was uh full of uh racial

00:21:15.700 epithets and uh and uh and of course trump woman told police she was driving home when four teens

00:21:24.020 confronted her yelled trump 2016 and told her she didn't belong here to go home the woman who told 0.98

00:21:32.300 the police she had a hateful note on her car after a group of teens did this to her said uh

00:21:38.320 yeah okay i made the entire story up muslim woman she reported a hate crime on the subway 18 year old 0.82

00:21:48.400 muslim woman claimed that three men attacked her on a manhattan subway she they tried to pull off her 0.98

00:21:54.860 hijab and uh turned out to be completely fake she was making that up long island man nassau community 0.76

00:22:04.160 college said he couldn't sleep at night because somebody had drawn swastikas several different

00:22:13.060 times at various different locations on the campus three swastikas were found inside of a

00:22:19.640 man's bathroom and he couldn't uh sleep at night i don't know how people sleep at night when they're

00:22:27.500 the ones who do it uh police found out he was the perpetrator i'm i'm not even a third of the way

00:22:33.580 through these stories that have come out in the last year and the washington post has the guts to say

00:22:40.020 that we're going to use this one to say that people are making things up no no do you not yet get it

00:22:48.240 this is why we don't believe the news

00:25:28.440 playing network now of course they're doing that well one of the monologues by brian cranston's

00:25:33.640 character howard beale rang in my ears all weekend long he said and i quote here is the truth the real

00:25:39.860 truth the thing we must be most afraid of it's the destructive power of absolute beliefs that we can

00:25:46.820 know anything conclusively absolutely whether we're compelled to it by anger fear righteousness

00:25:52.300 injustice indignation as soon as you have ossified in that belief as soon as you start believing in

00:26:00.000 the absolute you stop believing in human beings as mad and tragic as they are in all of their

00:26:06.400 complexity their otherness their intractable reality the only commitment any of us can have is to other

00:26:13.540 people wow and it's not like you or anybody it's beautiful anyone at cnn have an ossified belief of

00:26:23.960 what trump is what trump supporters are what white men are what america is no none of that none of that

00:26:59.940 uh you don't come around these parts son there has to be a split spittoon i believe that corner in

00:27:10.980 chicago is where all the spittoons are they call it spittoon alley yeah they do yeah they do yeah 1.00

00:27:15.240 yeah uh we took time out from our moonshine running to beat the crap out of you mr homo sexual 1.00

00:27:33.540 pelosi's and cory booker's in the world who jumped to their conclusions you know what i don't want an

00:27:38.000 apology i don't want an apology i really don't an acknowledgement an acknowledgement yes and what i

00:27:44.020 really want is a press the press to learn from their mistakes but they're not mistakes that's the

00:27:49.680 problem we can't get we can't get um uh so wound up that i want an apology for their mistake it isn't

00:27:58.820 a mistake this is what they they've been ossified in their belief you played the reaction the media

00:28:08.200 reaction from uh all the reporters from msnbc and cnn and i think to me the worst is al sharpton

00:28:16.480 because you talk about not learning a lesson he doesn't i mean to wanna brawley but you're making

00:28:21.840 my lacrosse team you're making my point they're not yeah they're not gonna he is not interested in

00:28:27.540 the truth they don't care he is looking for power manipulation any story that helps him further his

00:28:35.100 voice he does anything that helps further his point of view even if it turns out to be false

00:28:41.760 it doesn't matter so he's not making a mistake and i contend the press is not making a mistake

00:28:48.240 yeah i mean look a mistake is uh doing what maybe we did i didn't tweet about this story but i did come

00:28:57.920 out and say i i think i said if this story is true this is horrible yes um and that's the way you deal

00:29:05.680 with it if this story is true it's horrible and then you wait to see if the story is true but what

00:29:12.500 they do is they drop all alleges and they just even if they say the word they don't really mean it 0.92

00:29:20.520 because then they'll go on and on and on and on about what horrible racist white culture this is

00:29:27.120 and how bad donald trump is to the point to where they are now saying well this isn't true but this 0.89

00:29:34.480 is going on that's essentially what cory booker said i'm gonna withhold my judgment until the facts

00:29:41.180 come out why didn't you do that in the first place and then and then he proceeded to say but we do know

00:29:46.680 in america that these kinds of crimes are on the rise the fake ones yeah they're right yeah they are

00:29:52.520 they are they are because the real ones are not no that's true and this is what you would expect

00:29:57.720 right out of a country and a society that's been crafted to give gold medals to whoever's the the

00:30:04.220 most victimized right that's that is what we are now doing this like intersectionality olympics thing

00:30:09.860 all the time and so of course people are incentivized to get there we are praising people who have been

00:30:15.800 victims more than really any other part of our culture success now is is something that's bad if you

00:30:21.660 achieve personal success you're you need to get taxed at 90 and you're an evil evil millionaire

00:30:26.740 or billionaire on the other side of that if you're a victim there's nothing but praise for you

00:30:31.420 everywhere so there's no so there's no surprise that all these people are chasing that feeling this

00:30:36.200 is this is a summary of moral sentiments by adam smith adam smith said here's how capitalism works

00:30:44.100 in wealth of nations this is what the free market is but in the preceding book book one

00:30:50.460 in this study of capitalism is the moral sentiment and it says the free market will give you whatever

00:30:58.420 the people want so the people really have to guard themselves they have to be rulers of themselves and

00:31:06.740 of their passions and their desires well our passion and desire right now apparently is well we just we 0.99

00:31:13.720 just want to hate white people we just want to hate white people we want to hate donald trump 0.98

00:31:18.340 and so that's what the market is buying there is no market for hey let's be good to each other 0.99

00:31:25.520 let's let's let's let's not do this we're better than this there is no real market for that a great

00:31:31.660 example bbc bbc did a documentary and it was on the rise of hate crimes in poland if i'm not mistake

00:31:39.480 now it's a documentary came out completely bogus they just made it all up these documentary workers

00:31:47.340 sold the bbc a documentary completely made up wow okay wow why is that because people want to work

00:31:56.800 and unscrupulous people who are like okay well what are they buying because i've sat in these meetings

00:32:02.380 before i've been in meetings with netflix and amazon and everybody else and i know that the agents will

00:32:08.420 say prior to the we have you know you have specific agents just for amazon just for netflix

00:32:16.480 and their their job is to tell the agency this is what they're buying right now this is what's hot

00:32:24.300 for them they want stories like this they want shows like this and so you don't get a meeting with

00:32:31.540 them unless you're pitching something that they're buying so if you're out there and you're like okay what

00:32:35.880 will netflix buy what will amazon buy this this group i'm sure what will the bbc buy well they're

00:32:43.760 really high on documentaries about hate crime right now great we'll do one on poland and how hate crimes

00:32:50.220 because you gotta know polish hate crime then you get in there you find out that that's not the truth

00:32:55.620 well you've sold it you're working on their dime make it up that's the way this happens

00:33:02.920 it's the free market and we are people that don't have moral sentiments anymore we want that that

00:33:11.740 that story in the washington post where the editor wrote today i want to believe this story

00:33:19.100 yeah why why you wouldn't why yeah i know at least honesty there she wants to believe this story and

00:33:28.200 you know cnn did and that's nbc did nbc did they all wanted to believe the story they wanted it to

00:33:33.920 be true because it proves to them some uh moral larger truth right yes yeah i mean do you see and

00:33:40.980 they know and they know that it does exist it just doesn't exist in the amount that they they say it

00:33:47.720 is they know that it exists so they justify it as this is why they downplay it when they find out

00:33:54.320 because they're right now look at the editorials they're like do you know what this is gonna do

00:33:58.020 this is gonna hurt the real racism yeah we know that yeah we know that that's why we've been

00:34:03.000 bitching about al sharpton forever you put him on as uh you know an msnbc host we bitch about him 0.99

00:34:10.620 because he hurts real racism i mean do you hear ellen page the actress um ellen page now if you don't know

00:34:19.480 who she is she is in a sort of a uh progressive uh quantum leap episode for the rest of her life

00:34:25.280 because at some point she unintentionally made a really good movie that happened to be pro-life

00:34:29.880 or have a pro-life message juno which became a big movie and kind of the movie she's known for

00:34:34.660 so for the rest of her life she has to say the most crazy liberal things and then until eventually

00:34:40.360 she says enough of them and she can leap back to the right future or something she's in that mode of 0.90

00:34:44.860 like paying penance paying penance for for all of her previous sins of saying something pro-life

00:34:50.900 so she goes on all these shows and she's always saying the most liberal crazy thing

00:34:54.580 listen to her on colbert about this attack back when it was going on he believes in conversion therapy

00:35:01.040 blaming it on mike pence he has hurt lgbtq people so badly as the government of indiana and i think the

00:35:08.820 thing we need to know and i hope my show gaycation did this in terms of connecting the dots in terms of

00:35:13.920 what happened the other day to jesse i don't know him personally i saw i sent all of my love

00:35:18.560 connect the dots this is what happens if you are in a position of power and you hate people

00:35:28.260 yeah oh yeah and you want to cause suffering to them right you go through the trouble you spend

00:35:33.940 your career trying to cause suffering thank you what do you think is going to happen we're going to 0.68

00:35:39.700 weep we're going to kids are going to be abused and they're going to kill themselves

00:35:43.380 and people are going to be beaten on the street yeah listen to the passion in her voice yeah she's 0.95

00:35:49.020 crying but also listen to what she's saying if this is what you do you hate people so much

00:35:54.780 that you dedicate your life to that that's jesse smollett yeah he he hates people who are different

00:36:05.220 than him so much he has come into a place to where he believes that's who these people are to the point

00:36:13.460 where he concocts and and perpetrates this hoax and pays people four thousand dollars to do it with

00:36:22.280 him that's amazing that's amazing just real quick before we take a break pat um how do you do you

00:36:32.980 believe and and this comes from uh what's his name we have him on uh john ziegler coming up in a minute

00:36:38.580 he said last week he said uh i think what happened what i've heard is that the police and everybody

00:36:47.700 were just going to move past this and then he had the balls to double down and go on gma

00:36:52.900 wow and they really they were like okay dude and they already suspected yeah they already suspected 0.89

00:36:59.280 they put and they were just going to let it go remember they put that the the the two gray lumps

00:37:05.100 that picture of the two gray lumps yeah they put that out and he believes it was his bait

00:37:11.360 because as soon as he went on gma and said that's them that's them they knew who those guys were

00:37:21.080 wow they rounded them up that day remember they knew exactly who they were so they put it out

00:37:27.800 going okay let's see let's see that's them i mean if you look back at the abc interview he's like and

00:37:35.080 i want them arrested i that's them i know it's them how do you know it's them i know it's them well

00:37:40.300 you did know i paid him good money to be there so i know what was named cletus he's from kenya

00:37:46.780 all right thank you very much pat um our sponsor this half hour is 23 and me

00:37:54.940 tonight we are sitting down with my son and we are going to read the results of his 23 and me

00:38:05.600 oh really yeah it's a big day it's a big day because you don't know his background right right

00:38:12.200 um we know that he's scottish so he's kind of hung up on the scottish thing he's like

00:38:18.400 you know he's he's full on he wants a kilt uh but uh so that's all we know that's all we know

00:38:27.080 and so we're going to find out his ancestry of his father and everything else today and it's going to

00:38:32.280 be last night we got it last night and uh tanya noticed it about 11 o'clock and he said can we open

00:38:39.900 it now let's open it now i'm like no no it's 11 o'clock let's let's do it tomorrow so today we do

00:38:44.760 it oh great so we get the results here on the program do we get some updates uh yeah i think so

00:38:50.860 yeah i mean yeah i'm gonna do that um you seem hesitant well no i mean i don't i mean i don't know

00:38:57.400 what this is gonna be like as a family we could find out that he's actually got non-european blood in

00:39:06.740 oh my gosh yeah what if he's from kenya then he's probably attacking some actor right from empire 0.75

00:39:15.040 that's his future right you'll have to watch him all right 23andme get your kit right now uh 23andme

00:39:23.260 it's really it's such an exciting thing to be able to find out the history especially like me if you

00:39:28.160 have an adopted son um or daughter a dna kit at 23andme.com i don't mean that you have an adopted

00:39:35.040 son or daughter i have an adopted son who might decide at some point he's a dog anyway uh 23andme.com

00:39:48.600 and learn about your history 23andme.com slash back this is the glenbeck program

00:39:56.460 okay the yale daily news which uh i'm not sure of when the castro uh brothers started to run it and

00:40:09.760 i mean the fidel castro brothers um yale daily news uh has a uh an article uh about destroying white

00:40:20.540 boys let me just quote everyone knows a white boy with shiny brown hair and a saccharine smile

00:40:26.900 that conceals his great ambitions he could be in the great uh the grand strategy or the yale political

00:40:33.580 union maybe he's the editor-in-chief of the news he takes his classes he networks and when it comes

00:40:39.080 time for graduation he wins all the awards one day though i'll turn on television who knows maybe

00:40:45.020 televisions will be obsolete by this point and i'll see him sitting down for his senate confirmation

00:40:49.500 hearing that he'll be a little older maybe tiny wrinkles but that smile that characteristic

00:40:56.520 saccharine smile will remain the same yeah when i'm watching the white boy who's now a white man at

00:41:04.140 this point on cnn i'll remember the racist remarks that he said this can't happen anymore we can't let

00:41:10.260 things slip by she goes on to say that we should follow white boys and we should uh make sure that we 0.98

00:41:19.420 capture everything about them and save them because we'll have to destroy the white boy 1.00

00:41:26.240 after he becomes a white man 0.99

00:42:43.220 john ziegler is uh with us he is uh an independent uh voice and writes for mediaite and he is one of

00:43:00.240 the guys uh and i think the first to really take this uh jesse smollett case on uh and and say wait

00:43:08.120 a minute something's not right here we talked to him on friday as this was starting to fall apart

00:43:13.420 uh and he laid the case out john i'd like you just to lay the case out again real quick just in case

00:43:19.780 somebody doesn't isn't familiar with the case sure uh a couple weeks ago uh empire actor jesse

00:43:26.020 smollett claimed that at 2 a.m in chicago in the middle of a polar vortex that he had been attacked

00:43:33.060 by two trump loving goons who uh yelled among other things at him racial epithets uh insulted his

00:43:42.200 sexuality and declared chicago to be maga country uh sprayed him with bleach tied a rope around his neck

00:43:49.980 i guess which was supposed to be a noose that he was the victim of a horrible hate crime uh and the

00:43:56.660 media of course shockingly uh lapped this up uh as as if uh this was uh obviously true and that there

00:44:04.380 was no other scenario that could possibly be the case because after all uh in their minds no one

00:44:09.500 ever lies or exaggerates about any of this kind of thing even though the the end result as you well

00:44:15.500 know glenn and many of your listeners know is that many of these stories end up being false and uh this

00:44:22.000 one never made any sense and the way that it fell apart over a couple weeks period of time to me is

00:44:28.400 fascinating and you know i appreciate you giving me the credit because you know i don't get credit for

00:44:33.220 any of these types of stories i have i have made literally hundreds of dollars over the years

00:44:37.640 going after these stories now let's not let's not stretch it

00:44:42.280 there's it's not fun because by the way even when you're right you still end up taking more grief

00:44:49.440 than you get uh credit in most cases but i feel like all i was was the the kid in the emperor with

00:44:55.040 no clothes you just go wait a minute the emperor has no clothes here this is an obvious story so

00:45:01.600 what was fascinating about this real quick what was fascinating to me was i did a series of interviews

00:45:06.340 in chicago very early on this story where you know i'm being used by chicago radio hosts radio hosts

00:45:13.160 who are not supposed to be afraid of anything right because they they don't want to be the ones to say

00:45:17.880 this is false so they bring me on because i've written for media and say uh and tell them what

00:45:23.100 they already are thinking but no one wants to say and that's that's really what happened here it's

00:45:27.880 really frightening uh so john i think one of the reasons why the average person may have been

00:45:33.340 caught up on this and just accepted it is because um uh at first he had gone to the hospital and

00:45:42.760 you got the impression that he had to stay there for a day or two and so he was really hurt that

00:45:48.820 that's all bogus too well yeah i mean if you look now who who it was these two nigerian brothers who 0.61

00:45:56.100 are bodybuilders who were the ones who were involved in this uh if they were going to beat uh jesse

00:46:01.960 small ed up uh he would have had more than a scratch underneath his eye and he would not have

00:46:06.840 been able to uh go to los angeles almost immediately to uh to do i guess you would call it a concert where

00:46:13.300 he was dancing uh within a couple of days so i mean that part didn't make a lot of sense there

00:46:19.520 were a lot of things that didn't make a lot of sense that he held on to his subway well i mean

00:46:24.600 that's a love that's a love of a sandwich man you're like i'm fighting off two guys who are trying

00:46:29.860 to beat me up bore bleach on me but i am not letting go of this sandwich well i have to say

00:46:36.240 and i i was and by the way the police were uh both of us were were essentially wrong in our

00:46:43.520 original theory about what happened because i'm told from my sources which have been very good on

00:46:48.580 this story from the beginning that originally the police and i thought this made sense because i'm not

00:46:52.640 a conspiracy guy i despise conspiracies i believe in incompetence but even the police were were

00:46:59.080 convinced that this couldn't have been a total hoax at first because it was so poorly done so

00:47:05.180 incompetently done apparently they even they even rehearsed it uh and and so i presumed and again the

00:47:12.980 police thought this too that this was some sort of a domestic dispute a relationship he had had with

00:47:19.000 one of these two actors that went wrong and then he created the hate crime allegation afterwards i am

00:47:25.300 told that their state police still believe that there was a relationship between smollett and one

00:47:30.500 of the two of them but they now believe that it that what happened here was that smollett paid them to

00:47:36.780 be part of this one of the more interesting things i'm looking forward to as this goes along which i'm

00:47:41.960 sure is not going to happen is is smollett going to get uh the me too treatment because if the police

00:47:47.440 are right that he had a relationship with one of these two guys he forced them right using his power as an

00:47:53.020 actor in a romantic relationship to engage in a crime now that's a me too violation is this thing

00:48:00.360 this thing is is absolutely fascinating i saw it this morning that the police said one of the one of

00:48:06.100 the things that immediately said wait a minute this may not be right is he took him to the scene where

00:48:11.860 it happened and he immediately pointed out the video camera and said i am so glad that that camera

00:48:18.900 is up there because you caught all of it on video and and it was so obviously pointed in the wrong

00:48:26.180 direction and they were like hey we've never heard that from a victim who's like and i saw right away

00:48:33.720 that there's a video camera right here and it was so obvious that it was not going to pick this up they

00:48:39.760 went uh-oh something's wrong well glenn you make a really great point which uh i underestimated the

00:48:46.580 police at the beginning of this you know i think the police played possum here i think i think that

00:48:52.700 they made it seem as if they had no idea what was going on they released the photograph of those two

00:48:57.420 blurbs those blobs that they were the persons of interest and at that time i perceived and i think

00:49:02.840 smallette perceived that was a sign of weakness that the police had nothing they had no idea what

00:49:08.320 was happening here it is now very clear they knew immediately what was going on they they had been

00:49:14.180 able to chart those two blobs which turned out to be the nigerians all the way from the scene of the 0.96

00:49:20.520 of the alleged hate crime into an uber they identified them apparently they have video of

00:49:26.200 them buying the rope so they knew their identity from very early on and of course they immediately

00:49:30.640 know they're nigerian they're black one of the works on empire this story is clearly false

00:49:36.120 and you know to use what i'm sure the left will think is a bad metaphor they essentially gave

00:49:41.020 smallette enough real rope to hang himself because he he identified ends up identifying them on good

00:49:47.340 morning america which of course was ridiculous to me you couldn't identify the people when you were

00:49:52.020 being attacked but you're identifying two blobs in a grainy photograph so and that's the incredible 0.97

00:49:57.760 thing is he went on good morning america to say he doesn't appreciate how this is just uh you know

00:50:04.380 how he's being treated and called a liar by some it's just like those trump people uh and they put up

00:50:10.700 the two blobs and it's really like the back of two guys isn't it i can't even tell again i don't

00:50:16.420 know i just because i i the the faces were so dark i just thought that they were i don't know wearing

00:50:22.020 a hoodie or something and walking the other direction there's no way you can tell anything

00:50:25.980 about these two guys except it's two big people walking right or standing up uh and uh and he got he

00:50:33.980 gets on and says i know these are the guys well how do you know i was there i saw it i know these are

00:50:39.180 the guys right which to me felt like desperation like he's just latching on to anything that will

00:50:45.140 substantiate his story also under the belief that the police will never be able to identify these guys

00:50:51.080 when they already had and of course it's a couple hours after the the good morning america interview

00:50:56.500 finally airs when they apprehend them they question them they get them to flip on smollett they don't

00:51:02.600 charge them and now of course we're waiting for smollett i'm told the police are hoping that smollett

00:51:07.340 will turn himself in uh the i'm i i i'm still very skeptical glenn whether smollett is going to

00:51:14.540 suffer any severe legal consequences over this the state's attorney in cook county i'm told is very

00:51:20.880 corrupt uh they're going to be under a lot of political pressure to give him a sweetheart deal 0.93

00:51:25.060 and let this just go under the rug uh i told you on friday which i think was a key part of this that

00:51:30.040 rahm emanuel the mayor of chicago was pissed off and that may he may have unleashed the dogs on

00:51:34.880 smollett when he went on good morning america but he's not in charge of this anymore this is a

00:51:38.860 state's attorney's issue and so i'm still skeptical whether the left will ever really be forced to

00:51:44.820 eat the crow that they should on this and i also think this is important for your audience i hope

00:51:50.080 that we don't just look at this as the left wants us to as an isolated incident this is somehow unique

00:51:56.600 this is an epidemic this is an epidemic especially in the in the realm of uh hate crime uh situations

00:52:02.800 and it's also i think and and maybe i'm sure people i know i've already driven people on the

00:52:07.760 left crazy for for raising this issue but but let's go back to kavanaugh for a second brett kavanaugh

00:52:12.660 because we were told we remember we were told that even though christine ford's story had no

00:52:17.580 corroboration by the way jesse smollett's story at least had a time and a place and a picture of two

00:52:22.820 blobs right two blobs and a contemporaneous report i mean but in comparison jesse smollett's story

00:52:28.580 was fantastically corroborated in comparison to to cut christine ford but we were told the reason

00:52:34.620 we believe christine ford is that a prominent person would never tell an untruth about an

00:52:40.940 allegation like this that would never happen what do they possibly have to gain no one would ever do

00:52:46.860 this and put themselves through this well now we know that's bullcrap because jesse smollett has

00:52:53.380 done that for whatever reason he did i don't fully understand why he did it uh i mean we may never

00:52:58.180 know but people do very strange things and the other thing that's related this is the number one

00:53:03.480 misconception especially the left has is we now live in a world where being the right kind of victim

00:53:08.980 is the american dream it is that's the the biggest false premise of the whole thing people

00:53:15.280 presume we're still living in 19 whatever it was when being a victim was was somehow uh uh an item

00:53:21.900 of shame it's not an item of shame anymore and by the way maybe it never should have been but the

00:53:26.540 pendulum has swung so far in the other direction people want to be a victim you get adulation you

00:53:32.700 get attention you get money in certain certain situations uh i believe colin kaepernick figured this

00:53:39.340 out and and and did it more beautifully than anyone has ever done and creating himself into being a

00:53:44.240 victim and now you know he's made millions and millions of dollars out of it uh what his football

00:53:48.460 career should have been over by now uh so i mean that's the number one premise being the right kind

00:53:53.880 of victim is the american dream today when i come back i want you because you work for mediaite i would

00:53:59.820 like to talk about the media and what the media should pull from all of these stories that they've done

00:54:06.760 what's the real problem here part of it is us the free market is like who's buying stories about victims

00:54:14.300 everybody i've got a victim story that's that's part one but the other part is journalism and and media

00:54:23.540 today and quite honestly you touched on the beginning fear we'll get to that in one minute

00:54:31.200 all right i want to talk to you about uh uh being safe online free wi-fi doesn't mean safe wi-fi

00:54:42.600 even if you have a password the the the problem john just used the word uh epidemic there's so many

00:54:51.900 things that are epidemic right now and one of those is the um loss of information the the the sharing

00:55:00.920 of personal information the the um bogus sense of safety that you might feel when you're online

00:55:08.620 because well i got a firewall well i got a password oh okay okay good here's the way to make sure that

00:55:15.580 facebook isn't following you and i hate to say this but there's this new book out called um uh

00:55:21.960 surveillance capitalism and worth the read because we're trading our freedom

00:55:29.340 for convenience and we are begging people to surveil us and i'm not comfortable with it because i just

00:55:37.760 don't think that uh i just don't think that uh these companies will in the end be our friends

00:55:44.540 this information is is calling everything about our life well online there's one way to stop it and

00:55:51.940 that is by using a vpn now facebook is offering a vpn that's a virtual private network uh and facebook

00:55:59.300 offers one yeah do you facebook oh i can trust you there is one vpn you can trust and it's norton

00:56:31.620 annual subscription enjoy wi-fi without any worries about privacy or security it's three dollars and

00:56:38.580 33 cents a month with an annual subscription that's where it starts all you have to go to is

00:56:43.200 norton.com slash vpn that's norton.com slash vpn 10 seconds station id

00:56:52.960 john ziegler so what does the what is the media uh going to pull out of this or should pull out of

00:57:16.100 this and what what role do they play in all of this great question uh glenn uh those are two very

00:57:23.300 different things what they they should and likely will uh first of all i think that they they're an

00:57:28.160 unindicted co-conspirator in the jesse smollett story uh and i mean without them uh i don't think

00:57:34.040 smollett would have ever thought one that he could get away with this or that he would get adulation for

00:57:39.260 it uh that's that's number one number number two what they should take away from this is let's not

00:57:44.660 be so damn gullible let's not take everything at face value and you know i i mentioned on friday i 0.56

00:57:51.980 have an equation it's really pretty simple you just take the uh the how implausible a story is how 0.88

00:57:57.640 little corroboration it has and then you divide it by uh how hesitant the media or the authorities

00:58:03.580 would be to this to debunk it because of political correctness concerns and if you get a number less

00:58:08.160 than one the story is probably not true and that formula has worked for me on many many occasions

00:58:13.660 and on this on this occasion it was as clear as day that the story is probably not true but the

00:58:19.760 problem here is the business model of the media is broken it is badly broken every single element of

00:58:26.180 the media is broken which means the two things everyone has to lunge after every story that looks like

00:58:32.840 it might get clicks or traffic or or trend on twitter immediately which means that of course

00:58:39.140 there's no time for introspection there's no time for research or investigation uh and then of course

00:58:45.940 the other part of the broken is that business model is that the people within the business have no job

00:58:50.940 security and when you have no job security you can't do real journalism because real journalism

00:58:56.440 requires saying things often that are unpopular or dangerous well in this day and age if you say

00:59:02.500 something that's unpopular or dangerous when you have no job security guess what's going to happen

00:59:07.040 to you especially if you have to be a white male you're you're in a story like this you're done

00:59:12.680 you're it's over and there's no place to get another job so that's where the fear comes in that you

00:59:17.940 already referenced so there's way too much fear and and by the way no one ever gets fired for jumping on

00:59:24.620 these types of stories you only you only get in trouble if you if you contradict them and and don't get

00:59:31.860 vindicated immediately because you pissed off the wrong people so so john here's the here's the 0.58

00:59:37.360 thing about this is is as we're looking at this story nobody's buying a story nobody wants to run a

00:59:45.500 story that the narrative is counter to this one um and so you're you're you're not incentivized in

00:59:53.720 any way everybody wants to be first or wants to be in the stream nobody is actually uh trying to

01:00:01.760 be right over first and the last thing is there isn't anybody in the media that really doesn't

01:00:09.920 want to believe this story this is what they believe anyway so it's it's massive uh confirmation bias

01:00:18.300 a hundred percent especially that's and that's why the liberal media gets these things wrong so often

01:00:22.960 but i think your point about incentivization is so incredibly important because there's still a lot

01:00:27.980 of people who believe that true truth is the coin of the realm of the media and journalism i don't

01:00:34.240 know that was ever the case but it's definitely not the case now it's popularity that's what that

01:00:39.020 it is what matters and oftentimes the popular narrative is inherently faulty because of what you

01:00:45.480 mentioned about confirmation bias and of course you and i have talked many times about the penn state

01:00:49.680 joe paterno jerry sandusky case to me this is the patron saint of all of these cases where the what the

01:00:55.080 what the truth is and i've investigated for six years i know with every fiber of my being to be

01:01:01.300 180 degrees different than what the popular narrative was but the narrative that was popular was so

01:01:06.720 overwhelming that it was a tidal wave over the truth and the truth is never going to win in that

01:01:11.840 case and it's not close and this and this is not an isolated situation that's just the most dramatic

01:01:17.340 one i've seen okay john ziegler you can find him at zigman freud zigman freud and also with media i

01:01:25.160 thank you so much john ziegler for bringing this uh story before anyone else would

01:01:31.480 you're listening to glenn beck so listen to this traffic stop expired registration led to the discovery

01:01:42.980 of an alleged identity theft schemes carried out by a former jackson hewitt tax preparer police say

01:01:49.220 they've been able to find eight victims of identity theft so far they're concerned there could be

01:01:53.860 thousands of them police contacted one of the victims she was confused how the suspect had a

01:01:58.920 copy of her license because she never lost hers so this is somebody that was preparing taxes and then

01:02:04.420 taking all of that information and selling it uh it's it's pretty crazy it's pretty crazy what's going

01:02:09.900 on right now information stolen in a data breach is is used to commit commit id theft and everybody

01:02:16.880 has to be aware of this every two seconds somebody loses their identity no one can prevent all identity

01:03:49.980 this is the glenbeck program there is a um uh there is a an interesting look at the media

01:04:01.720 from the media uh and also something else that we all need to learn about our actions matching what

01:04:09.520 we believe i think that's a fallacy that we're all well i want my action really is that what you

01:04:16.500 want that what you want i'll get into that here in just a second a lot of people are saying there's

01:04:20.200 no consequences for small lad he's not going to face any he's not going to there won't be any

01:04:25.120 consequence you really think so i think there's going to be consequences on this one what do you

01:04:29.400 think is going to happen to a giant uh fat deal as a spokesperson for subway here's a guy who waded

01:04:40.900 through a band of marauders yes and named cletus attacking him when he had his tuna sandwich in

01:04:47.460 his hand and what did he do he made it through he got that tuna sandwich all the way to his belly

01:04:51.740 can i tell you something kaepernick wants to go back in i think small yet should be and i don't know

01:04:58.220 anything about sports but i think a running back okay isn't that the guy who grabs the ball and runs

01:05:02.900 there you go that guy is not letting go of that subway that's right make that football paint it like

01:05:08.880 it's wrapped in a subway wrapper that guy's never going to let it go and the good thing with subway

01:05:14.140 is even if he is charged with a crime it's still better than previous spokespeople uh so he's this

01:05:21.880 is a good way for them to go and i think it i think it works i like that yeah that's very good that's

01:05:26.460 very good um let me let me let me take you back to the media here um the media is saying i and i want

01:05:35.620 to i want to quote there are two competing definitions of media there is one view promoted

01:05:43.080 by professional anti-media messengers like donald trump jr who portray the media as just one big blob

01:05:48.940 he tweeted media hollywood desperately wanted smollett's claims to be true to push their hate

01:05:55.300 of conservatives then there's the other view which i know to be true that the media is made up of

01:06:01.560 thousands of outlets and hundreds of thousands of people with great journalists and lazy aggregators

01:06:08.020 with no single mission or belief system there are mistakes and built-in biases sure definitely

01:06:15.380 but most journalists are trying their best to report what is true this competitive chaotic world

01:06:21.280 of media contradicts don jr's imagined world okay so let me ask you this is that is that a warning

01:06:28.920 against collectivism essentially yeah it's interesting they want to see people people

01:06:32.920 to be seen as individuals yes it's an interesting concept unless by the government right unless it's

01:06:37.600 the government yeah or if it's you know evil white trump supporters right yes those people are all seen

01:06:42.340 as a with a broad brush tea parties conservatives god yes group of all christians oh my gosh group

01:06:49.320 yes group group group group group and we keep saying you yeah they try to make everyone's basically the

01:06:54.880 westboro baptist church correct and we keep saying that actually those are a few really bad people but

01:06:59.680 generally speaking christians aren't anything like that right but do we here's here's something for

01:07:04.960 the media um media this at least is one show now i know you like to take all talk radio and make us

01:07:12.800 all alike but it's crazy we're all made up of thousands of individuals uh but this is one individual

01:07:20.880 who i will not dismiss case cases of racism because i know that there are racists and i know that racism

01:07:29.920 exists however i am skeptical when everything seems to fit perfectly this narrative that you guys love to

01:07:40.320 eat and shovel out so i am skeptical but isn't that what you're supposed to be you should now here's 0.95

01:07:50.000 all the time here's also one guy who will report that it is a lie that black people brown people yellow

01:07:59.440 people red people any people couldn't be racist no no race is a human trait just like just like our biases

01:08:12.080 those are human traits it's it's how we are raised what we are how we're educated who we're around what

01:08:19.840 influences us those things are called bias some of us can say yeah i'm a conservative i'm absolutely

01:08:27.120 a conservative but i am not blind to uh to loyalty i am not just oh my gosh i've got to be loyal to this

01:08:35.440 because i'm a conservative no if it doesn't make sense it doesn't make sense you know there's something

01:08:40.560 that's happening in brexit right now with the brexit thing people seven people have left the um the labor

01:08:48.320 party because of their brexit strategy and the ongoing anti-semitism and racism in the what a

01:08:55.840 surprise leftist party when's that gonna start happening here when are we gonna have journalists

01:09:04.000 that go you know what i gotta tell you i was on the bandwagon but you know these guys have gone too far

01:09:08.240 these guys have gone too far they will they will do anything when's that gonna happen because i know

01:09:15.040 it happened on the on the right a lot of us said you know what i don't have anything to do with the

01:09:19.520 republican party anymore i don't abandon my values but it's really strange i was painting a painting this

01:09:26.960 weekend and it was um uh it's behind me now if you happen to be watching and it is a picture of this

01:09:35.040 really spooky looking guy in the shadows and his eyes have almost like hypnotic rays coming out and he has

01:09:42.240 two hands out once one has the facebook logo the other has the google logo he represents like the

01:09:48.640 government google is data information and ai and facebook is social media and the painting is called

01:09:58.480 here to help it's here to help trust us we're just here to help uh no it's not when you close that

01:10:06.240 loop of those three it should scare the hell out of you and as i was painting it i i realized this is

01:10:12.560 this is this is this is rebellion stuff this is stuff that the left should be doing right now

01:10:22.160 but they're not doing it they don't even realize how out of step they are with their own values

01:10:29.040 that they just are so hell bent on destroying what they think is the problem that they haven't

01:10:36.480 realized oh good god i'm in bed with the devil i'm in bed with everything i've always stood against

01:10:47.920 i'm not an art critic uh but i i did want to point out to the audience who's listening on radio

01:10:53.040 uh i believe it's an accurate painting because the super scary guy is white right did make him 0.99

01:10:59.120 white and that that makes it powerful if he made him any other bluish green but well when the lights

01:11:04.800 on his hands though they're pretty white yeah so well i think it's uh that's accurate because this is

01:11:10.160 the exact type of guy that can beat you up while you're carrying your subway sandwich exactly and

01:11:14.560 that by the way is on sale for for one foot long for five dollars this week that's exactly how

01:11:19.360 you have to catch it you have to catch it and then run uh okay so so let me let me let me go into this

01:11:25.280 so we've talked about the free market that the free market uh it has to have a virtuous people um

01:11:31.680 because the free market will provide whatever you want well right now the free market on the left

01:11:36.080 wants these stories of of victims and oppression and you know white mega hat wearing racists that's

01:11:44.400 what the system wants that's the market is saying i i got a call for it over here who's

01:11:49.200 got one who's got one who's got one and so it's calling these out and as we have shown you and we

01:11:55.120 will show you tonight at five over and over and over and over and over again people are delivering it

01:12:02.640 they're fake doesn't mean that racism doesn't happen it just means the media is getting trapped

01:12:10.720 by all of these fakes because they want it so desperately and why do they want it

01:12:16.080 it they want it to destroy see the search for truth is not about destroying something the search

01:12:24.880 for truth is the search for truth let the chips fall where they may but we've gone so far away from

01:12:32.880 the truth we just have our belief we just know this is what no this is what i believe and then we we

01:12:39.440 don't even really care about living it because if we really did care about living what we believe

01:12:46.720 we wouldn't have so much hypocrisy look at the hypocrisy both sides of the aisle look at the

01:12:52.640 hypocrisy you say one thing you go in and do it the debt is so un-american really look at the debt 0.59

01:12:59.200 hear anybody crying about it nope why because nobody really cares no the debt is just something that's 0.55

01:13:05.920 used when the other party's in power correct i care about the debt i'm talking about the spending

01:13:11.360 now and i was talking about the spending then doesn't matter who's in this is a problem okay

01:13:17.760 but we want a virtue signal and our virtue signaling uh causes people to say well look at the hypocrisy his

01:13:26.800 action doesn't meet his belief but we're so far beyond that as the problem our actions matching our

01:13:35.200 belief system we're so far beyond that don't ask that question well i want to make sure that my

01:13:42.880 actions line up with my belief yeah you might want to go back a step because what really matters today

01:13:51.280 if you want to fix the country you want to fix yourself you want to fix your community you want to fix your

01:13:55.920 country you want to fix journalism stop asking if your action matches what you believe and start

01:14:02.080 asking whether your belief matches the truth all right i have a pitch for you okay hi i'm jesse

01:14:10.400 smallette recently i was in the news for being attacked as a part of a racial hate crime and

01:14:18.000 part of the story i told was not true it wasn't about race it wasn't about trump they were after my foot

01:14:24.320 long tuna sandwich from subway you're telling me you're telling me that's not effective

01:14:30.480 i mean that's selling a lot in today's world in today's world yeah yeah i think it does i think i

01:14:36.240 think it works they should do it yeah all right our sponsor uh this this uh half hour is uh american

01:14:44.400 financing uh my brother is helping his uh daughter buy his uh her first home because her rent is rising so

01:14:51.280 significantly it's up like five percent uh and he's working with american financing right now they

01:14:56.560 found a great program uh with little down great rates um it's still a responsible loan uh it's really

01:15:05.040 kind of starting to be a bad time to be a renter and i think it's going to be even more so uh as time

01:15:09.760 goes on might be good to be able to rent out your house but a bad time to be a renter um because the

01:15:16.480 the national average uh has has risen almost five percent it's over four percent last year

01:15:23.120 and if you feel that pain now is the time you might want to visit american financing and look at a

01:16:11.120 this is the glenbeck program

01:16:16.320 this is the glenbeck program welcome to monday hi i'm jussie smollett uh in a moment i'm going to

01:16:28.080 tell you about the all-new ultimate cheesy garlic bread and the new ultimate meatball marinara or

01:16:32.560 the new ultimate spicy italian but first i want to address some reports about me in the media it is true

01:16:38.640 i filed a false uh uh hoax uh against the police uh and against uh white people and trump supporters

01:16:46.240 in general however as a subway spokesperson i can guarantee you i have never touched a child in an

01:16:52.560 inappropriate fashion i have no photos of naked kids on my laptop i've never been fat before so i

01:17:00.000 didn't i don't i i don't look the bottom line here is yes i'm a criminal but we're going in the right

01:17:06.880 direction okay we here at subway we are going in the right direction we are making things better

01:17:14.960 just like we made our classic meatball sub better with the ultimate cheesy garlic bread thank you i love

01:17:20.560 it i think it works i think it absolutely works subway eat fresh uh

01:17:25.760 uh i think it works i like it what do you know what do you think honestly about

01:17:33.040 um him looking at colin kaepernick and seeing you know i could look i'm i'm like the ninth character

01:17:39.440 on this show that i don't even know i'm in this show i don't even know if it's still on the air

01:17:45.040 so he's like the ninth character he sees colin kaepernick all you have to do is stand up against the power

01:17:52.320 stand up for something that everybody you know in on the left is for all of your friends and you

01:18:00.160 know it's true anyway america and the national anthem that's a racist song we all know it's true we all

01:18:07.360 know that lynching is happening so i just go the extra mile i'm an actor i can pull this off life

01:18:13.600 all the world is but a stage yeah and and he's doing it because he saw colin kaepernick making a

01:18:19.760 fortune i mean really it's interesting that he this actor is getting in trouble because

01:18:24.880 of his poor acting like i mean if if he just had better plot development this may have actually

01:18:29.360 worked uh you're right it's like but honestly it's like a murderer going no but i followed

01:18:34.160 the episode of colombo to the letter no yeah it doesn't it's not good i will say that too i think

01:18:39.680 with the kaepernick thing is is an interesting example because i think he probably has a a motivation

01:18:45.280 and that like he this is how he sees the world and everything else but if you look back at the

01:18:49.920 last 20 years we've seen many examples of people leaking their own sex tapes things that that normally

01:18:57.040 you would think i mean there was a time where people when they got attacked and if someone's

01:19:01.840 came to him and said hey did you get attacked are you the victim no no no no no you would you would

01:19:05.440 downplay your own attack that's what he said that's what he that's what he said i didn't want i didn't

01:19:10.720 i didn't i didn't go to the police right away because i i'm gay and i don't want gay people to 1.00

01:19:16.960 you know people are always saying oh you gay people are weak but who is saying who says that

01:19:23.280 and by the way we all saw how tightly you held on to that subway that's a strong man i got trying to 0.98

01:19:29.120 lynch you throw bleach on you and you're still holding on to that sandwich i respect that and i i saw

01:19:34.240 the uh the perpetrators of this uh there's some photos that went around of them uh they are in much

01:19:39.120 better shape than i am they are not weak no i don't think i maybe there was a time where people

01:19:43.280 thought gay people were weak they seem to be in really good shape these days when did they say 0.66

01:19:47.280 when did they say that they were gay they said one of them was in a relationship that's one of the 0.96

01:19:51.280 accusations the whole time that doesn't make both of them gay now does it hater i don't i don't and

01:19:55.840 why do you call them both him there's three people we're at two of them if they were in a

01:20:00.080 relationship i mean multiple people were gay in the relationship i would i would think that's

01:20:04.240 multiple is not all is it i didn't i didn't say all i just said the tape back that's what i heard

01:20:09.600 that's what america heard yeah but that doesn't matter if that's what you heard or what america

01:20:13.040 heard oh oh i sorry mister oh i got country time lemonade where the truth mattered i got it now

01:20:21.760 we're on to subway we don't touch kids that's that's our new slogan sure we still have criminals

01:20:28.800 representing us but they're not doing creepy things with kids come on have a sandwich we hope

01:20:34.240 in five to six years to have a person who's only convicted of a misdemeanor as our spokesperson

01:20:38.480 we're going the right way oh what's happened to our country

01:20:45.440 all right i want to talk to you a little bit about i target pro uh if you are somebody who is a shooter

01:20:57.220 you know that you have you've that's a that's a perishable skill and if you're not out shooting

01:21:03.940 you're going to you're going to lose that skill uh i do it for sport but if somebody comes into my

01:21:10.020 house i know i'm good enough to uh stop the threat in my house um but i will tell you you you have to

01:21:16.740 get comfortable with that gun and trigger control is the most important thing and dry firing they say

01:21:22.740 dry fire just sit in your couch you just dry fire that nobody's gonna do that it's boring

01:21:27.060 first yeah you're not gonna do that you're not knowing if you don't have no idea if you're

01:21:30.100 improving yes right so so here's the thing so if you if you dry fire if you put a uh i target pro

01:21:37.620 system in it's just like a bullet sized laser and you put a target at the other end and you put your

01:21:43.220 iphone by the target it maps where you're hitting so it's it's like going to the range except you're

01:21:50.100 not spending anything on bullets and i'm telling you one for most people one day at the range you'll pay

01:21:56.100 for this oh yeah easy uh so i target pro i target pro.com go there now i target pro.com it is so

01:22:04.100 well worth the money if you're somebody who wants to get good at using a gun i target pro

01:22:09.700 the fusion of entertainment and enlightenment this is the glenbeck program it's wiener out day

01:22:32.020 people may not know that it's wiener wiener wiener is wieners out day it's a well i'll explain that

01:22:42.020 here in just a second in fact one minute 60 seconds this is the glenbeck program we begin the program

01:22:51.780 here in just 60 seconds first let me tell you about uh simply safe only 17 of homes this boggles my

01:22:57.620 mind 17 of homes have a security system installed uh studies show most burglars will force to attempt

01:23:04.180 to determine whether or not a home has a burglar alarm most burglars break in through the front

01:23:11.140 door i didn't know that either most of them three quarters go through uh in the front door in the

01:23:17.380 daytime they just break down the door the reason why they use the front door shockingly is because if

01:23:24.660 you do have a burglar alarm sometimes they just will cut it right there they know they have about

01:23:30.260 you know 60 seconds and they can cut it i don't know if that actually works but i know this simply

01:23:35.700 safe doesn't have any wires that you can uh you can cut and 87 of all burglaries are considered

01:23:43.380 preventable that's why there is simply safe maybe you don't have a burglar system uh burglar alarm because

01:23:50.260 it's too expensive well i understand you can't afford 55 bucks a month that's a lot of money

01:23:55.700 uh how about 14.99 a month that's affordable you own your system there is no contract you don't have

01:24:03.380 to you know you be a customer for the 24 7 on call uh for one month i'm going on vacation for a week and

01:24:12.820 i want it that month 14.99 you own the system you control when it's monitored but just having it there

01:24:20.100 by the front door when burglars look in they check if you have simply safe you have a burglar alarm

01:24:27.300 simply safe is great because there's no strings attached and no wires to cut it's simply safe

01:24:33.540 beck.com go there now simply safe beck.com you'll get 10 off your system at simply safe beck.com

01:24:49.940 weiner's out now that's not a command that's a statement weiner's out uh disgraced former

01:24:58.580 congressman convicted sexual offender anthony weiner is out i mean how much time should you spend in

01:25:09.060 in prison for sexting a 14 year old i mean it's certainly not more than what 15 months 15 months

01:25:16.340 it's a complete max that's too much they only went against him because this country is against

01:25:21.460 high-powered politicians and particularly democrats well he's also he has to pay a ten thousand dollar

01:25:26.020 fine which you know it shouldn't be hard for him uh seeing that he had a lot of money in the first

01:25:32.100 place but he also has to register as a sex offender and he does have three years probation where he is

01:25:37.380 closely monitored so when they say probation how much sexting with 14 year olds does that allow for

01:25:45.220 i don't think any well he's a democrat so maybe maybe some i mean you should at least give him a

01:25:51.220 couple a week right perhaps when you really think about it he can do as much as he wants he just can't

01:25:56.740 get caught again exactly gotta be a little bit like crime was i mean who are you to judge love is love

01:26:02.100 and who are you to judge right exactly a way you know if a man named carlos danger wants to interact

01:26:10.020 with a you know a fan of justin bieber it's actually too old of a reference now those they're probably

01:26:16.980 all over 14 now but whoever is popular enough cardi b is cardi b would cardi b be a good one here i

01:26:22.900 don't know whoever that is that how can you stop a man from doing such a thing by the way there's

01:26:28.820 somebody else that is in prison for similar things it's bill cosby and bill cosby is quote having an

01:26:35.380 amazing experience good for him right um uh in an interview uh his press spokesperson andrew uh wyatt

01:26:46.180 said he's he used the term amazing experience now he was uh sentenced to three to ten years in prison

01:26:53.220 for drugging and sexually assaulting women um uh he is uh he's living off by himself uh for a while

01:27:01.140 he's just been uh it just been put into general population uh his wife still has not come to meet

01:27:08.900 him oh no in prison oh no no he talks to her three times a day for three minutes okay on the phone uh he

01:27:15.380 says he doesn't want her to come see him in prison but he's having an an amazing experience he said it's uh

01:27:22.660 it's not what he expected uh that's great news yeah it's you know things change glad things change

01:27:30.980 quickly you know there's a time where bill cosby was so beloved in our society can i give you a little

01:27:39.940 flashback here for a moment this is a i think an interesting study in how the media operates so uh the

01:27:46.500 governor of virginia he uh he he wore blackface in the early 1980s i know as you know i know um and

01:27:54.900 well remember first of all let's remember where this started i started with her incomplete racist 0.90

01:27:59.620 megan kelly who just asked a question i don't understand if you're wearing it if you're wearing

01:28:05.220 blackface you know and but you want to glorify that person she was terminated immediately for asking the 1.00

01:28:13.460 question can you wear blackface if you're doing a tribute and you're trying to look like this

01:28:20.420 individual she was terminated immediately that's amazing i had totally forgotten that was the reason

01:28:26.020 yeah about 100 million or you know it was like 20 million dollars a year whatever her contract was 0.99

01:28:30.980 she got a full 67 million dollar payout that's how much they wanted to get rid of her and they they 1.00

01:28:38.420 did it with the excuse that she was a racist because she asked that question but tell me about the

01:28:43.060 governor who's still still in office in office and also the third third guy in line for the for

01:28:48.980 bringing a governor also had worn blackface yeah but the second guy in line he was only a sexually

01:28:53.300 assaulting people well yeah sure allegedly allegedly now the blackface is not alleged yes because that

01:28:59.700 would actually so remember this is the 19 early 1980s he admits to having michael jackson and blackface

01:29:06.180 on and the reporting on it from the new york times was i think the headline was uh the governor parties

01:29:12.900 like it's 1884 that was their headline and i thought to myself like here's a yes obviously we all know

01:29:20.260 that blackface is a really bad idea and you should not you should not wear it um however there has been a 1.00

01:29:27.700 time in the past where that was not the way people thought about it i mean certainly some did right

01:29:34.260 like we know that there have been really bad examples of uh of this over the past but i thought

01:29:39.220 myself soul man was a movie released by a major studio in which the plot of the movie is a white guy

01:29:49.540 goes into blackface to get into harvard and it's a hilarious comedy about a white guy who puts on 0.93

01:29:57.140 blackface to go into harvard now we would all say now that would not be something that would be 0.99

01:30:02.660 released and no one would would act in it if offered however in this period was it that crazy

01:30:08.980 again it was before soul man came out like what six years previous to this he supposedly wore blackface

01:30:15.620 okay and in 1986 the movie soul man came out and i thought to myself self

01:30:23.780 what was the new york times saying about soul man in 1986 because were they out there saying

01:30:31.060 like this is a relic from 1884 they said now they're saying it's party like in 19 1884 here

01:30:38.660 is their review of soul man in the new york times from 1986 i love you stew i just love you

01:30:46.340 there's nothing again i want you to understand this glenn there's nothing automatically funny

01:30:51.220 about the story of a rich white college boy who masquerades as a black there's nothing it's not 0.92

01:30:56.900 automatically automatically it's not automatically you gotta work into this a little bit we're gonna

01:31:01.860 make you work for that laugh it's more than just putting the black face on which of course funny but

01:31:07.380 not automatically that's not automatically a hit comedy okay you guys gotta go deeper there's

01:31:13.300 nothing automatically funny about the story of a rich white college boy who masquerades as black 1.00

01:31:17.380 in order to collect a scholarship to harvard law school that's putting it mildly but soul man which

01:31:22.420 opens today at lowe's state and other theaters has a breezy unapologetic manner and it also happens to

01:31:29.060 be funny which goes a long way towards making up for any of the underlying obtuseness or insensitivity

01:31:36.820 the director has arrived at this cheerful frat house version of tootsie

01:31:43.220 a cheerful frat house version of tootsie yeah hang on just a second hang on just a second could tootsie

01:31:50.500 even be made today i don't think probably not probably not because wouldn't that be a uh uh

01:31:59.060 because it was a guy it was a cross-dresser cross-dresser and he was pretending to be a woman

01:32:04.660 to be near his children i probably know that you're confusing that i am with mrs doubtfire oh yeah okay

01:32:12.420 that's right i am this is another one you couldn't make i don't think you could make that one right so

01:32:16.900 wait what's tootsie about tootsie is the actor that couldn't get a job he was a great actor couldn't

01:32:22.980 get a job he needed to be a you know a strong woman is what they were looking for so and everybody's 0.98

01:32:29.460 saying he was a bad actor and he's like okay i'll show you it's a brilliant funny funny movie

01:32:35.140 funny movie i mean probably not automatically funny sure but funny it's a good point it's not

01:32:43.620 automatically no it's important to point out just a guy in a dress isn't automatically funny

01:32:49.060 now i will say i will ask this question glenn is it as the new york times called soul man in 1986

01:32:54.820 a blithe silly good-natured movie and of its kind quite an enjoyable one

01:33:02.980 now hang on just a second the governor of virginia is in trouble now if he was the one

01:33:08.660 well if he's either one in the picture with the clan okay he's in trouble but he denies that that's

01:33:16.260 him either the clan or the blackface guy right and i you know again this is this is not something

01:33:22.900 you want to push back on but i mean if the what's the point of the clan black guy photo like the only

01:33:28.740 thing i could think of is why this photo would exist is the odd pairing right like it's an odd couple

01:33:34.260 like two people going to a party one's a clan member and one's not one's a black guy right yeah

01:33:38.740 that's probably the quote-unquote joke right again not that i'm defending it right but uh i don't know

01:33:44.820 is that any more or less offensive than being michael jackson in blackface previously i don't know yeah

01:33:52.740 i think it actually is maybe it's kind of like you know a jew in you know prison guard going with

01:33:59.860 the nazi right yeah that's not a good look not funny um however michael jackson i bet that was

01:34:06.980 a breezy performance it goes back to what megan kelly was saying yeah is this so bad yeah i think

01:34:14.660 the you know i'm not going to shun anybody you know from business 30 years after their life because

01:34:21.060 they did that however when you are uh when you are doing a tribute to someone like he was doing

01:34:31.060 with michael jackson is that so bad right in the theory being that if you're trying to compliment

01:34:37.300 someone as dressing up with them like you know it's the same controversy you see every halloween now

01:34:40.980 where if you dress up as a native american right you're you're taking their culture and it's offensive

01:34:47.300 but if the person is saying well i'm not doing it to be offensive i'm doing it because i like that

01:34:51.060 culture is that a problem and today absolutely it is in 1980 was it i don't know in 1986 the new york

01:34:59.780 times was praising a major studio release about blackface you had for the first time in american

01:35:05.860 history you had a bunch of white kids wanting to be black like michael jackson and your star who was

01:35:13.700 black changing his face to try to be white or a woman or had a very uh rare disease not sure what 0.75

01:35:23.380 that was right of course they uh the new york times goes on to talk about his uh phony looking afro in

01:35:29.220 the movie and this is what actually reminded me of of this when you said cosby this is one of the

01:35:33.700 quotes from the movie the this is from the white guy in blackface saying these these are the 80s this

01:35:39.060 is the cosby decade america loves black people this is the hilarious joke they quote in the movie 1.00

01:35:45.540 they're praising mark's manner remains unchanged after his uh physical transformation his attitudes

01:35:51.060 could not help but be affected in the end a tootsie-like learning experiences emerges from 0.95

01:35:55.460 this adventure he finds for example that he can no longer stand listening to the beach boys

01:36:01.700 that's your learning this is learning experience if this seems speedy and superficial course in

01:36:07.060 unconscious raising and it comes relatively late in the film it's better than nothing and the

01:36:12.180 pretty actress named meloda hardin does what little she can with the role of a white girl who 1.00

01:36:16.980 wants to sleep with mark simply because he's black can't use it something about 400 years of oppression

01:36:23.220 and anger as she explains it this isn't a positive review so is that still available do you know

01:36:30.820 what is that is that can you still rent that can you still find that that was because you can't

01:36:35.620 get song of the south which is one of the most endearing stories of all time you cannot get

01:36:41.700 song of the south it's not available on youtube do dot no no cannot get it but you can get this one

01:36:50.020 i don't know it's a good question all right never more than 60 seconds away uh from the show right back

01:36:54.340 in just a sec let me first tell you about real estate agents i trust.com real estate uh selling your

01:36:59.460 home and and buying a home really really complex very difficult um that's why we choose real estate

01:37:06.100 agents based on their success and a long track record of success people all the time like yeah

01:37:11.300 well he does this part-time i know my nephew and he can just do it's it's not that it's not just knowing

01:37:17.060 how to um uh navigate the documents which is the second most important thing knowing how to do all of

01:37:25.060 the documents and getting that done that's very important that takes experience but it also it you

01:37:30.980 can't use an algorithm to set the price of your home you have to know the market what the houses are

01:37:37.060 worth all around what's selling what's not selling why it's selling why it's not selling you have all of

01:37:44.100 these things that only someone with experience can do so we found the people who have your values

01:37:50.660 uh know your area uh and are the the best and have a long track record of being the best in your area

01:37:59.380 so when you go to real estate agents i trust.com you say i'm looking to buy or i'm looking to sell

01:38:04.180 you're going to get contacted by the person who is the best in your area okay so just just try instead

01:38:12.020 of looking at the bus sign and going well i don't know his face is everywhere i see the i see him in

01:38:16.420 magazines local magazines you know his face is there her face is there get the best know the

01:38:22.420 people are just like you with the same values and are going to sell your home fast and for the most

01:38:26.660 amount of money it's real estate agents i trust.com that's real estate agents i trust.com we pause 10

01:38:32.500 seconds and back into the show i just want you to know the national weather service has issued an

01:38:49.700 unofficial small dog warning

01:38:52.340 uh due to due to strong winds in northern ohio and northwest pennsylvania uh they have decided to

01:39:12.660 issue the small dog warning that if you have a dog and you're taking him outside and he's small

01:39:22.340 make sure you put a leash on him because he may blow he may blow away

01:39:30.420 really this is a national weather service uh pennsylvania now through wednesday yeah national

01:39:40.420 weather service this came from cleveland uh the wind gusts 45 to 50 miles an hour few trees may be

01:39:46.980 blown uh scattered power outages as possible and hold on to your pooch a small dog warning

01:39:54.180 wind advisory for northern ohio uh and uh northwest pennsylvania have has been uh initiated i'm glad

01:40:02.100 we're getting this safe space created for us we know now the truth that we cannot bring our little

01:40:08.260 dogs outside because they might blow away if we don't have a leash but then it does turn into a pretty

01:40:12.740 cool kite how did we how did we survive i don't know how did we make it through how did we make it

01:40:19.780 through all these years with without people being told your your dog might blow away now i've had little

01:40:28.340 dogs before i've had i've had dachshunds uh i've i've it's never even occurred to me that my little dog

01:40:36.420 now dachshunds are low to the ground so maybe it's different for them right they're like the sports car of

01:40:41.060 little dogs i would think like an afghan would be much more inclined to blow away because it's 1.00

01:40:46.500 that's more it's so skinny and and and thin and it's it's like a it's like a sail you know it's like

01:40:54.660 it would be like a kite put the put the leash at the center of the afghan go for a walk and it'll just

01:41:00.660 blow up and it'll just start like a kite that one

01:41:03.700 but little dogs would just roll down yeah just roll down the street like a like a tumbleweed

01:41:11.860 yeah i think that's true i think that's i think you have the science correct we have tumbleweeds

01:41:15.220 here no they're just little scottish terriers i well how small does a dog have to be because that

01:41:20.420 a 40 or 50 mile an hour you know i mean it has to be like one of those really mini the mini like

01:41:25.700 legitimate in paris hilton's purse can i tell you something i've never seen a dog blow down the street

01:41:30.020 i i mean i've you know i i i is i'm not like you know i'm a weather chaser but i've i've lived 55

01:41:36.820 years i it's really windy here all the time really windy i've never seen you know i've never seen like

01:41:42.020 a tumbleweed blowing down the street going i've never i've never seen that before i never have either

01:41:51.460 but it's happened so many times there's an actual small dog warning yeah which makes you think i mean

01:41:57.300 that's that's got to be a tough experience do you get an ebs alert

01:42:02.100 beep beep it would have to be little barks wouldn't it like little yips

01:42:08.820 i don't know that's interesting because i think you'd have to have a really small dog maybe the

01:42:13.460 idea is like you're walking them on the street and the wind blows and it blows them into the street

01:42:17.300 and the kid gets hit by cars i can't be really taking off like a kite right i mean that's that's

01:42:22.180 tornado territory isn't it no because really small dogs are about the size of a cat yeah but a cat is 0.99

01:42:28.580 not going to be lifted up and thrown cats not stupid enough cats aren't dumb enough i don't know if they 0.98

01:42:35.300 know this but you know dogs are pets yes however there's lots of other animals that are smaller than 0.99

01:42:41.380 dogs all over the place for instance i've never seen any of them we found up in the air either we found

01:42:45.860 on friday a cat-sized rat not to be confused with a dog-sized or cat-sized dog a dog-sized or cat-sized

01:42:55.860 rat cat-sized that's terrifying back here it went into one of the rat traps we found they were like oh

01:43:02.100 wow that's a big one in this building yeah good god why would you tell us that i'm not picking it up

01:43:07.380 it might still be there you want to go look at it i thought you were gonna say it like your ranch or

01:43:10.260 something no in here yeah it was in the it was in the back cages we're going through the property

01:43:15.620 cages and it was like and somebody was with me one guy said good lord look at that that's a big rat

01:43:22.820 and we looked down and then you know tim he looked at it he said i'll get that and he reached down with

01:43:28.020 his hands and none of us said anything he was like no i'm just kidding i'm not gonna so it still might

01:43:32.900 be there but anyway you don't see rats blowing down the street right if like if every time it got windy

01:43:38.740 like leaves they blow around the circles if you saw animals in like a typhoon and i lived in baltimore

01:43:44.340 man there should have been rats like leaves blowing down the street all the time this is a hoax

01:43:58.500 you're listening to glenn beck all right uh i need a x chair shipped to uh dc because i'm doing the show

01:45:13.380 this is the glenn beck program if you are sick and tired of hearing all of the bad stuff about america

01:45:19.700 and uh you know just how bad we are blah blah blah blah blah look america's story is just like your

01:45:26.260 story are you a good person or a bad person now hopefully you say a good person now actually

01:45:33.940 most likely you will say a good person hopefully you will say a good person that is getting better

01:45:40.260 or a person that was bad or i'm a little of both but i'm working we're all both it's it's a it's a

01:45:48.580 wrestle match every single day which one are you going to be you're going to be the bad you or the

01:45:52.820 good you and that's what america is we're both bad and good it's what we choose to make out of

01:45:59.860 ourselves every single day and we choose that collectively and right now we're just choosing to be

01:46:04.740 victims and cry babies and we've forgotten who we really are we've totally forgotten who we are and

01:46:12.260 we just expect everything to be handed to us now and we don't want to have any problems whatsoever

01:46:17.940 and society will help you with that don't worry about it society will help it's going to be fine

01:46:23.940 just relax blame it on somebody if you're tired of all of that come to the mercury pop-up museum here

01:46:32.500 at the mercury studios i'm trying to see when this is this is a summer of this year and it opens on

01:46:40.340 june 28th and it runs through july 7th so through the fourth of july weekend june 28th through july 7th

01:46:48.660 and it's called 12 score and three years ago from four score and seven years ago from the gettysburg

01:46:54.740 address 12 score and three years ago the unfinished promise of unity because that's really what the

01:47:00.820 civil war was about we're gonna we're gonna unify all men all men are created equal it's so unfinished

01:47:08.580 we're going backwards so we take a look at that and we take a look at the people who took that

01:47:13.780 freedom and did something amazing with their freedom uh so it's it's uh it's quite an experience

01:47:21.380 that will cover the good and the bad uh but really hopefully i think you're going to leave this going

01:47:27.620 i i had no idea i had no idea of what so many people did with their freedom that had been uh

01:47:37.540 you know otherwise in this society would have just been called victims and they would have spent

01:47:43.380 their whole life on tv talking about what victims they were instead they decided to pull themselves up

01:47:49.220 and uh and start doing something with their life and with their freedom and they changed the world

01:47:53.860 it's great it's great uh all right there's a couple of other things um that i want to talk about

01:48:01.780 if you if you missed the uh podcast this weekend every saturday we do a podcast and they're usually

01:48:10.340 about 90 minutes anywhere from an hour to 90 minutes um and they are just riveting i think um

01:48:18.420 we had gad sad on now gad is a guy who is a university professor from canada uh he is a guy who just

01:48:28.900 loves the truth and is very concerned about what's happening to the truth in universities and all

01:48:35.860 throughout society and we talked about everything one of the first people jordan peterson reached out

01:48:41.220 to when he was having his troubles initially yeah because he's like the godfather of telling truth

01:48:46.100 you know and always getting in trouble for it and he doesn't care and i just i love this guy you're

01:48:51.540 gonna fall in love with him when you listen to him um but uh check it out here he is talking about

01:48:57.300 uh you know we say it's a trump derangement syndrome he calls it something else listen to this

01:49:05.300 so munch has a syndrome is where someone feigns a medical condition so they can garner empathy and

01:49:10.500 sympathy oh poor me look at me i'm sick munch has a syndrome by proxy is where you take someone who's

01:49:16.340 under your care your biological child your pet your elderly parent and you harm them so that you can get 0.99

01:49:23.300 and garner the sympathy and empathy by proxy because they're they're damaged right so this

01:49:28.180 is called bunchhausen syndrome by proxy and by the way the ones who suffer most from that are usually

01:49:31.940 women who harm their biological children to garner the sympathy so i had written a paper you know

01:49:38.100 talking about the psychiatric disorder and then when i started seeing the full victimhood the screaming

01:49:44.100 the fake hysteria associated with trump that's when i coined the term collective bunchhausen because it

01:49:50.420 was a way for people to seek attention in grotesque ways and truly what seemed to me in false sounding

01:49:57.540 ways right i mean i would see on my facebook page people sort of testifying to their looming victimhood

01:50:03.940 i am a woman of color i attend the university of maine will it still be safe for me to go to college now

01:50:11.460 that trump well what do you think there's going to be roadblocks and the the trump storm patrol patrols

01:50:17.700 are going to be ushering you for to gang rape centers i mean what can justify this level of 0.99

01:50:22.820 idiotic hysteria and so that's why i called it collective munchhausen because it truly was 1.00

01:50:27.380 a confabulation of faux hysteria what upsets me is that it's one thing for this idiot on my facebook 1.00

01:50:34.420 page to write this stuff it's another thing when many of my supposedly sophisticated intellectual 0.58

01:50:41.060 friends were succumbing to the same hysteria that's what upsets me is when so i won't mention any names

01:50:48.020 but one of my good friends whom you probably know is one of the type who will say things like you know

01:50:53.300 there's going to be food shortages now that trump there's going to be to be a nuclear holocaust he's

01:50:57.860 the worst thing since hitler and this is a guy who otherwise you would have thought is a terribly

01:51:02.340 sophisticated and dispassionate thinker and so it's a real mystery to me why they are what causes that

01:51:09.220 what caused that in him yeah i think i know who you're talking about very smart guy very reasoned

01:51:15.140 very i mean he's sort of the model of the very dispassionate right uh so i i pitched an idea

01:51:23.060 on the rubin report as to why i think this is happening i think that the intellectual class views

01:51:29.700 trump as a what i call an aesthetic injury right he lived i mean you know how this this beautiful place

01:51:37.060 that you're in i mean it's gorgeous aesthetics right you have it you have a nice aesthetic sense

01:51:40.820 well academics and intellectual types have a sense of the types of aesthetics that they seek in their

01:51:46.340 leader barack obama exemplar fit that he's tall he's got a beautiful smile he speaks with a certain

01:51:53.780 cadence of a southern baptist preacher he seems noble and majestic so it doesn't matter what he says

01:51:59.540 that most of it is complete but he my god he sounds noble and intellectual donald trump is an ogre he 0.51

01:52:08.100 speaks in an ugly way he's grotesque he's a brawler he's a new yorker he's swearing he's grabbed this

01:52:14.500 right so on every possible aesthetic metric he offends my sense of aesthetics and so i think they are

01:52:23.060 disgusted by him they are repulsed it's visceral he is a remarkable man his name is gad sad uh and uh

01:52:32.260 he's just remarkable the way he thinks we cover all kinds of topics really almost everything uh and

01:52:40.900 he at one point we started talking about freedom of speech listen to this so munch has a syndrome is

01:52:46.900 where someone feigns a medical conditions free speech absolutist yeah i believe that anything short

01:52:56.180 of a direct exhortation to violence libel and defamation everything goes and the way that i

01:53:03.860 demonstrate my commitment to those principles is i picked the most grotesque possible instance which is

01:53:10.980 holocaust deniers to a jewish person right what could be more offensive than taking the historical

01:53:16.820 event that is probably the most documented in history where people were systematically you know

01:53:22.980 exterminated and allow someone to say no it never happened but if you are a free speech absolutist

01:53:29.940 in a free society then you have to tolerate the most grotesque so i tell people i am a jewish person

01:53:35.860 and i support the right of holocaust deniers to reject that the holocaust ever happened so i walk the

01:53:41.300 walk talk the talk so your hurt feelings frankly i don't give a blank about life is anti-fragile to

01:53:49.460 use the term of nasim talib right you you grow by being that which doesn't kill you makes you stronger

01:53:56.580 correct therefore post-modernists say that which doesn't uh that way how is this the turn of the

01:54:03.460 phrase on this um uh we could have cut this part out of this for the love of being i've never heard

01:54:11.860 the post-modern okay yeah there's a they've they've twisted and turned it yeah turned it around up so

01:54:16.340 so it really i find it very frustrating because it is a perfect way to stifle discussions right don't

01:54:22.660 criticize islam because that's my religious faith that hurts me what do you mean in a free society you

01:54:29.140 you can go on twitter and say what a bunch of croc judaism is if i'm strong in my beliefs i shouldn't

01:54:35.620 worry about what glenn beck thinks it's um it's amazing how we have turned that upside down we've

01:54:42.500 really turned that upside down i mean i i really think that's why people like ocasio-cortez are are are are just

01:54:52.580 not the sharpest knife in the drawer for instance putting out the green new deal i think that's a 0.97

01:55:06.100 pretty stupid rookie rookie fourth grader kind of move why why doesn't why didn't she fear because 1.00

01:55:16.820 she's living at large no matter what she says no matter what she does no one's going to say anything 1.00

01:55:23.300 to her because it's a success right now you're not doing anybody any good if you keep the truth from

01:55:30.820 them they don't have to defend it i i you know when you believe in something and you know it to be true

01:55:38.500 you just know it to be true that's when you should do a little more listening to the other side

01:55:44.500 just because it'll sharpen the edge you'll you'll you'll learn more about what people are saying

01:55:50.580 the why it's not true and you'll be able to defend it but if you don't have anybody sharpening that

01:55:55.940 steel i mean you can't last you can't last it's like if you're a band that like has all these hit

01:56:04.660 songs then you want to do like a rock opera and then they push back against you and they're like uh

01:56:10.420 hey maybe the rock opera is not the way to go some bands did the rock opera some bands went for it

01:56:16.740 and then you know they were no longer bands like six months after that that's weird that you say

01:56:21.780 that because i was thinking queen yeah queen is a is a but queen queen yeah a lot of people try to do

01:56:27.640 queen after queen i don't know that you don't remember any of their names because they tried it

01:56:31.080 right but queen queen did it for the same thing they didn't want to just do what they were good at 0.99

01:56:38.120 they wanted to push themselves so they would get stronger they went out of their comfort zone yes

01:56:43.780 yes and that's something unfortunately we don't do because there's no such thing as a comfort zone

01:56:49.260 anymore it's a safe zone and everything that makes you uncomfortable is out of the safe zone so

01:56:57.860 nobody says hey you should make yourself uncomfortable from time to time reach out push push the edges of

01:57:03.940 that why into the unsafe zone no no bad things happen there it's dark why are you saying it's dark

01:57:12.620 racist all right um let me tell you about uh filter by just read this you ready for this too this uh

01:57:20.880 i think this comes from uh washington press i can't find the marking on this a readout listen to this

01:57:30.340 just when you thought it was uh staying inside was one way to avoid pollution from surrounding cities

01:57:35.880 and heavy road traffic new study showing that uh the air inside of our homes is prone to indoor air

01:57:45.040 quality levels on par with a polluted major city they say everyday activities like cooking and cleaning

01:57:52.240 may be to blame the authors believe chemicals found in common household substances are even seeping

01:57:58.500 outdoors creating more air pollution than cars and trucks do oh shut up shut up if only there was a 0.87

01:58:05.540 way to filter your air right condition it in some way exactly what are you thinking i an air 0.98

01:58:13.520 couldn't filter something something that did both of the things at the same time if it could if that was

01:58:19.180 possible well they have it it's called it's called a filter you put that into your system the problem

01:58:26.040 is is we don't change them because we forget and or we intentionally forget or we keep saying i'll do

01:58:32.640 that next time i think i just did that no time flies when you're having fun uh unfortunately time flies

01:58:38.380 even when you're not having fun in the long term uh filter by filter by is uh the easiest thing you

01:58:45.660 can do to make sure that your air is clean check it regularly prevent uh heating use units uh from

01:58:52.280 working harder than they than they should be and it keeps your air super super clean so stop

01:58:58.320 breathing in all that crap that you shouldn't be breathing in

01:59:01.660 here's what you need to do i want you to go to filter by.com filter by.com give yourself an edge save time 0.91

01:59:08.620 save money and uh and make sure you're all breathing in clean air and you're doing a favor to the hvac system

01:59:16.080 so you don't have to have the repairman come out save time and money with filter by.com order your

01:59:21.380 filters online put up for like i think it's auto renew or something and it will send you six months

01:59:28.180 every eight months i really don't even know i don't even know they just arrive when they show up put

01:59:32.480 them in put them in that's what you're supposed to do filter by.com it's filter by.com

01:59:37.720 welcome to the uh program a couple things first of all uh do you think nancy pelosi may have cte 1.00

01:59:55.540 is there a possibility she does seem like every question she's asked is asked as if she is waking

02:00:02.560 up from a 12 hour sleep i want to play a little nancy pelosi on valentine's day last week listen

02:00:08.520 so thank all of you happy valentine's day we saluted our victory or the victory for the american

02:00:14.760 people earlier with chocolate chocolate from california i call it the champagne of chocolate

02:00:21.520 and so uh again i wish you all happy thanksgiving so again happy thanksgiving no it's it's it's happy

02:00:28.420 valentine's day which you correctly stated just a few seconds earlier and i mean

02:00:32.100 i'm sure i do have the the chocolate turkeys uh on my uh on my plate for for thanksgiving

02:00:39.760 and valentine's day but i also we also on those two meals we also serve heart so i can see the

02:00:47.120 confusion you know uh i think she's i think they're seriously something is not right with nancy pelosi

02:00:54.060 she really does feel like you know you know how you feel when you get up you're sound asleep and like

02:00:59.520 your alarm goes off your house and you just wake up and you have no you don't even know what what

02:01:03.980 the rules are the phone ringing sometimes you're like what does i don't what is going on that is

02:01:09.460 how she seems and ever like she's unaware everything's taking her by surprise she doesn't

02:01:14.160 seem to know the surprise is probably just the the botox and the and the eye surgery because i think

02:01:20.760 when she sits down her eyes open wider oh okay her skin's a little because the skin is tied to the 1.00

02:01:26.140 spine yes so when she bends her back the eyes do open just a little bit she's a she's an interesting

02:01:31.720 individual to lead a party i mean that's i don't know if that's ideal i don't know if you could map

02:01:38.460 it out you probably pick somebody else it's just i mean it is it's these guys just stay in too long

02:01:44.220 yeah they stay in too long and for her one day was too long yes my point exactly happy thanksgiving

02:01:53.200 happy thanksgiving and columbus day and flag day yes it's not flag day yet it's not how do you know

02:02:00.280 oh it's only groundhog day isn't it yeah it's tomorrow's flag day i'm pretty sure or christmas

02:02:04.340 you're listening to glenn beck
