00:00:00.000 The Blaze Radio Network, on demand, love, courage, truth, Glenn Beck.
00:00:16.360 So do we have a gun problem or do we have a mental health problem in America?
00:00:21.280 Pro gun controllers have the answer.
00:00:25.220 They think it's very obvious and they're going to do everything in their power to never let
00:00:29.220 option be mental health ever, ever Trump blaming the inanimate object.
00:00:37.060 How is how is this?
00:00:38.620 How is this even reasonable?
00:00:41.220 I mean, we have had guns in America for a very, very long time.
00:00:45.560 We haven't had this problem.
00:00:47.240 We're having this problem because something else is wrong.
00:00:56.800 How do you make it out the gun?
00:00:58.200 Well, it's easy.
00:00:59.220 You avoid the facts.
00:01:01.140 You over sensationalize some made up facts of your own.
00:01:05.000 And finally, and this is the most important of them all.
00:01:07.200 You make sure everybody stays high as a kite on emotion because when you're afraid, when
00:01:14.560 you're emotional, you don't think.
00:01:18.960 You do these three things and sky's the limit.
00:01:21.540 You can change anything.
00:01:22.680 You might even be able to convince the former chief justice to call for a repeal of the second
00:01:29.060 amendment.
00:01:31.340 Let's look at the facts here.
00:01:33.100 Over the last quarter of a century, the U.S. gun homicide rate has fallen by over half.
00:01:41.000 During that same period, the gun violence victimization rate has fallen by 70%.
00:01:48.520 So wait a minute.
00:01:49.860 Why is it all of a sudden we feel like like we have to control guns that the pro gun, the
00:01:58.580 the pro gun control lobby has made it look like like gun violence rather than receding by 50 and 70% is actually a growing problem.
00:02:09.920 How is that happening, especially when every statistic out there will show you the exact opposite?
00:02:16.340 Well, it's actually pretty easy.
00:02:18.080 If it bleeds, it leads.
00:02:20.500 Violence, no matter how random or rare it may be, always gets more attention than peace.
00:02:27.400 A mass shooting will get 24 hours a day, seven days a week for over a month in coverage.
00:02:33.260 But random, random acts of violence, well, they inspire marches, walkouts, even, even legislature.
00:02:42.940 If, if, if need be, they'll, they'll just take it to the legislature and we'll have legislative policies.
00:02:50.440 The world will change.
00:02:52.320 But a quarter century of falling crime rates doesn't do anything.
00:03:05.340 I think everybody can agree that there is a problem right now.
00:03:08.860 We've already established that it is not gun because, because the facts don't fit that.
00:03:14.880 It's not guns.
00:03:17.740 So what is the issue here?
00:03:19.840 The answer is mental health and the government's inability to address it.
00:03:28.580 I beg your pardon, just for a second while I unload a few more facts.
00:03:34.520 Keep in mind, none of the numbers that I'm about to drop came from any partisan source.
00:03:39.560 They didn't come from some conservative think tank.
00:03:43.020 And all of this came from the United States Secret Service.
00:03:46.360 The Secret Service just released a report showing that 64% of all mass shooters showed symptoms of mental illness.
00:03:57.780 A quarter of them had been hospitalized or were on psychiatric medication before the attacks.
00:04:05.100 75% of these killers sent communications or engaged in suspicious conduct that should have alerted law enforcement.
00:04:14.480 So what we have here is clinically deeply troubled people who, in many cases, had been in mental facilities,
00:04:25.220 but were still able somehow or another to purchase guns.
00:04:28.860 And they were even giving away their intentions beforehand with communications and suspicious activity.
00:04:36.720 Now, the facts clearly show that gun violence is going down by 50% and 70%.
00:04:45.380 But at the same time, mental health is spiraling out of control.
00:04:51.080 And our government clearly can't figure out how to handle it.
00:04:55.600 So, people have taken the easy way out.
00:04:58.680 You blame the guns.
00:04:59.800 All the while, sweeping the real problem under the rug.
00:05:11.420 And that, that is our fault.
00:05:16.860 It's Friday, March 30th.
00:05:31.560 This is the Glenn Beck Program.
00:05:37.740 Let me bring you some good news today.
00:05:39.900 We have opioid addiction problems in this country, unlike anything we've ever faced.
00:05:49.340 We have kids killing kids.
00:05:51.300 We have hatred.
00:05:52.240 We have anger.
00:05:53.840 Deep anger and hatred.
00:05:58.680 And we're all saying, how do we fix any of this?
00:06:00.920 I want to tell you today, it's not going to be fixed through tougher drug laws, or even a wall.
00:06:08.820 A weapons ban, armed teachers, or hate laws.
00:06:16.280 It's not.
00:06:18.500 We have to recognize and reconcile with the truth.
00:06:22.780 And we have avoided the truth.
00:06:28.260 Today is a really important day.
00:06:30.920 Today is Good Friday.
00:06:33.960 Today is Passover.
00:06:37.320 And both of those are connected.
00:06:41.740 And the message in both of those is there's always a chance to start over.
00:06:50.960 Whether you believe Jesus was just a historic guy, a good guy, or you just believe that Jesus is God,
00:07:00.920 it doesn't matter.
00:07:02.960 His message is the same, no matter what you believe.
00:07:07.780 And that is, there is a way to start over.
00:07:12.120 There is a way to fix your life, no matter where you are.
00:07:17.320 We've grown into these people who were so self-absorbed and so arrogant.
00:07:29.460 And I want you to know, I'm saying this about me more than the country.
00:07:33.300 We have, we have all fallen short, and some of us more than others, but we're all short.
00:07:43.600 And what we do every day is we go out and we measure the distance as if we're in some Jesus long jump competition where we think we're going to win.
00:07:56.640 We're not in a long jump.
00:08:05.400 Why are we measuring how far you jumped and how far I jumped and how far the other person jumped?
00:08:10.620 And yet, at the same time, when you look at it as if we are all acting like this is a long jump competition,
00:08:18.040 it begins to make sense because the only time that you really measure somebody's distance is when you're going for the gold.
00:08:27.320 And perhaps that's the problem.
00:08:29.380 We're all going for gold.
00:08:31.220 Our life isn't a competition.
00:08:37.880 It's not how far or how short we are at the finish line.
00:08:43.260 Because we can never come close to the record holder.
00:08:46.260 Never.
00:08:48.380 But we put on our team jerseys, be it right, left, rich, poor, educated, self-made,
00:08:56.500 Christian, atheist, American, foreign.
00:09:00.040 All of these team jerseys.
00:09:04.780 And we march into the bogus stadium of our life, waving our colors and cheering those that stand with us
00:09:12.960 and jeering those who are our enemies.
00:09:18.780 And we miss the point.
00:09:20.960 We miss what the Egyptians missed.
00:09:25.240 We're all the same.
00:09:26.580 There is no such thing as a slave and a free man.
00:09:33.400 I have human rights.
00:09:34.420 You cannot enslave me.
00:09:35.860 And even if you do enslave me, you'll never enslave my mind, my soul, who I truly am.
00:09:44.900 We miss what the Egyptians missed.
00:09:50.720 The angel of death is going to pass over all of our doors.
00:09:54.980 At some point, it's coming into all of our houses.
00:09:58.500 It's how you live your life and how you go out.
00:10:12.820 It was a stormy Friday afternoon.
00:10:15.160 When death came in Jerusalem for this man, he wasn't beating his chest or jeering others.
00:10:32.920 He was a hard-working carpenter who got it.
00:10:40.740 It was the quiet man who promised peace.
00:10:44.740 And he promised peace to the thief hanging next to him, who just at the end of his life said,
00:10:51.920 I get it, and I want to start all over again.
00:10:55.840 It's that man that changed the world.
00:10:59.100 Be him God or human, he is the one who changed the world.
00:11:07.080 And he changed it by showing us we can change ourselves.
00:11:11.460 But so many of us Christians, we're not changing ourselves.
00:11:14.540 We're worried about changing others.
00:11:15.860 We're worried about measuring our distance.
00:11:20.840 It's bogus.
00:11:27.900 He changed it by showing that the weakness and doubt we sometimes feel is okay.
00:11:35.700 He changed the world by teaching us that the way to overcome the hatred of others isn't by hating them back.
00:11:43.600 It's not through battle.
00:11:44.920 It's not through argument.
00:11:46.500 It's not eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth.
00:11:49.820 But it's through gentle forgiveness, even if they hate you.
00:12:00.620 It's by little by little by little self-sacrifice.
00:12:09.580 I don't recognize my country anymore.
00:12:11.720 I don't recognize what it means to be a Christian anymore.
00:12:17.400 I don't know what it means to be a conservative anymore.
00:12:20.620 I don't know what it means.
00:12:22.620 I know what it means to be human.
00:12:25.040 But I'm afraid the rest of humanity is forgetting.
00:12:28.600 When I was growing up on Easter, girls would put on pretty white dresses and boys would put on Sunday suits.
00:12:41.460 You would wear your Easter best.
00:12:44.100 In many houses, we hunted for candy and eggs, and families attended church, and we'd come home to eat dinners of honey-baked ham and deviled eggs.
00:13:01.700 Those were our traditions.
00:13:06.640 Those were our traditions.
00:13:12.080 Our traditions have taken over and, I fear, left us empty.
00:13:18.900 Because it wasn't about the dresses, the suits, the deviled eggs, or the Easter bunny.
00:13:34.360 It was about a guy who used that day to show us how to redeem ourselves and how to start all over.
00:13:40.080 And it all began with forgiveness.
00:13:49.140 It doesn't have to be something big.
00:13:51.120 In fact, it's probably better if it's something small.
00:13:54.580 We don't have to out-jump each other.
00:13:57.480 We don't have to win the gold medal, and we should not be chasing after the gold.
00:14:03.440 The person or the group that you're forgiving doesn't necessarily even know or need to know that you're forgiving them or how they wronged you.
00:14:13.820 It doesn't matter.
00:14:18.800 Forgiving somebody is so hard to do.
00:14:22.900 It takes a long time and lots of prayer.
00:14:28.460 We don't do it very often anymore.
00:14:34.200 We're conditioned to be angry and to be defensive and to run with our own tribe and to damn the other tribe.
00:14:41.540 To signal our virtue instead of actually just quietly living it.
00:14:50.000 So this weekend, between the bunnies and the candy in the morning and the ham in the afternoon,
00:14:54.900 can we take a moment and examine the hatred and the anger and the fear we all feel?
00:15:08.700 I mean, we say all the time,
00:15:10.140 I can't forgive them.
00:15:11.080 I can't let this go.
00:15:12.380 I can't.
00:15:13.440 No, they have to answer for this.
00:15:15.380 May I just quote one thing and let it really just bounce around in your soul this weekend.
00:15:27.380 Quote,
00:15:28.580 Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.
00:15:34.860 If he could say that.
00:15:40.500 Is our strife and our anger and our reasons for hating the other side,
00:15:48.780 for hating those in the other,
00:15:50.560 is it really greater than that?
00:15:54.060 Is our cross heavier than his?
00:15:58.140 Is our pain worse than his?
00:16:01.320 He came to save us.
00:16:03.700 He came to show us that there is peace,
00:16:06.680 that there is love.
00:16:08.120 And we nailed him to a cross.
00:16:11.200 Really?
00:16:12.000 Our problems are bigger than that.
00:16:14.440 Our reason for holding on is bigger than that.
00:16:20.060 How arrogant.
00:16:21.460 Humility.
00:16:33.280 Humility.
00:16:35.720 Meekness.
00:16:37.320 Grace.
00:16:39.040 Forgiveness.
00:16:42.460 Find it in your heart
00:16:44.140 and begin to make it a practice.
00:16:50.300 Forgive your brothers and your sisters.
00:16:53.140 Forgive those who are not going to be at your Easter table
00:16:56.560 because you just can't do it or they just can't do it.
00:17:00.700 Forgive those who have attacked on social media.
00:17:04.100 Who have offended your sense of self.
00:17:09.360 Who may have lied to you.
00:17:11.140 Have defaulted on debts.
00:17:13.380 Have cheated you.
00:17:16.120 Forgive them.
00:17:18.260 Because none of us are perfect.
00:17:20.300 None of us ever will be.
00:17:22.620 And boy, if there's one thing we need more than ever.
00:17:25.240 It is forgiveness.
00:17:39.520 Happy Easter.
00:17:42.100 And Shabbat Shalom.
00:17:45.660 Have you ever taken your car in for an oil change?
00:17:48.940 The mechanic finds something wrong
00:17:50.620 and then you're like,
00:17:51.920 What? Wait, hold it.
00:17:52.700 Just a second.
00:17:53.160 I was in for an oil change.
00:17:54.300 That's happened to all of us.
00:17:56.260 Or when you're driving down the highway
00:17:57.600 and the check engine light goes on
00:17:59.100 and you just break out in a sweat.
00:18:01.160 I don't.
00:18:02.000 No, no, no, no, no.
00:18:03.280 I can't afford this.
00:18:05.800 That sweat stays inside of your body.
00:18:08.720 You don't have to sweat it anymore
00:18:10.320 if you have car shield.
00:18:12.180 Don't worry about the unexpected surprises.
00:18:15.080 If your car breaks down
00:18:16.660 after the manufacturer warranty expires,
00:18:18.940 you could be out of pocket for thousands of dollars.
00:18:22.340 A simple repair of a sensor can cost over a thousand bucks.
00:18:26.340 There's nothing really simple about today's cars.
00:18:29.500 Car shield will make that process of fixing your car
00:18:32.400 for a covered repair really easy.
00:18:35.080 You can have your favorite mechanic or,
00:18:37.220 I mean, they're paying for it,
00:18:38.120 so take it to the dealership.
00:18:39.460 It's your choice.
00:18:40.400 They also provide you 24-7 roadside assistance
00:18:43.720 and a rental car while yours is being fixed for free.
00:18:47.960 If your car has 5,000 or 150,000 miles on it,
00:18:50.500 it doesn't mean you have to start paying,
00:18:51.860 you know, high repair bills.
00:18:53.400 Car shield administrators have already paid out
00:18:55.200 close to $2 billion in claims
00:18:57.060 and they're ready to pay yours.
00:18:58.980 Save yourself from the high repair bills.

00:19:23.020 Glenn Beck Mercury.
00:19:25.500 Glenn Beck.
00:19:40.780 Well, we have a lot to go over today.
00:19:42.780 We're so glad that you're here.
00:19:44.360 We want to put first things first
00:19:46.340 and talk to you about, you know,
00:19:48.920 the things that matter most.
00:19:50.980 We have Bill O'Reilly coming up.
00:19:52.640 He'll kind of recap the week
00:19:55.000 and the things that I want to get his take
00:19:58.320 on a few things this week.
00:20:01.700 One of them is the George Washington students
00:20:05.460 that want to take George Washington
00:20:08.560 out of the name of George Washington University.
00:20:15.260 And they want to do it because, I mean,
00:20:17.480 sure, he was probably a great man in his time,
00:20:21.160 but he was also a slave owner.
00:20:25.100 Bill O'Reilly coming up in about a half an hour.
00:20:28.700 Glenn Beck Mercury.
00:20:38.980 This is the Glenn Beck Program.
00:20:41.520 Today, we're going on a journey.
00:20:44.260 They say that time itself does not exist as we know it,
00:20:50.800 as we understand it.
00:20:54.360 It only really exists as something called space-time.
00:20:59.720 It's really only a point on a giant map,
00:21:02.700 something that we can use to find out where we are,
00:21:07.860 where we've been,
00:21:09.300 or where we're going.
00:21:10.700 So let's unfold space-time
00:21:14.800 and trace our way back.
00:21:18.400 First, maybe just a couple of years.
00:21:23.140 Tonight, I can report to the American people
00:21:25.740 and to the world.
00:21:26.640 The United States has conducted an operation
00:21:28.520 that killed Osama bin Laden, leader of al-Qaeda.
00:21:30.720 On my orders,
00:21:31.440 the United States military has begun strike.
00:21:33.520 Against the al-Qaeda terrorist training camp.
00:21:35.260 The people who knocked these buildings down
00:21:37.500 will hear all of us soon.
00:21:40.460 Now back, even further.
00:21:43.080 Princess Diana died around the world.
00:21:44.360 I did not have this vast right-wing conspiracy.
00:21:48.480 Now, here's O.J. Simpson.
00:21:50.280 He is armed with a gun.
00:21:51.400 Mr. Gorbachev tears down this.
00:21:54.560 Elvis Presley died today.
00:21:56.660 Well, I'm not a crook.
00:21:57.480 I've earned everything I've got.
00:22:00.760 Because of what has happened in Munich
00:22:02.060 during the past 48 years,
00:22:03.400 eight or nine terrified living human beings
00:22:05.900 are being held prisoner.
00:22:07.340 All steps for man.
00:22:08.540 A second shot,
00:22:09.380 the third total shot,
00:22:10.760 hit the president's head.
00:22:11.900 Gentlemen, the Beatles!
00:22:13.420 Dr. Martin Luther King
00:22:15.080 has been shot to death in Memphis.
00:22:17.180 A short time ago,
00:22:18.380 an American airplane
00:22:20.180 dropped one bomb on Hiroshima.
00:22:22.800 Allied naval forces
00:22:24.260 supported by strong air forces
00:22:27.520 began landing Allied armies this morning
00:22:31.260 on the northern coast of France.
00:22:34.300 December 7th, 1941.
00:22:39.840 A date which will live in infamy.
00:22:42.880 All the humanity!
00:22:45.660 Back farther still,
00:22:47.800 even before Marconi,
00:22:49.160 when the air was silent.
00:22:54.260 Back past the signing
00:22:58.740 of the Declaration of Independence,
00:23:00.440 past the Age of Enlightenment,
00:23:02.280 before Martin Luther
00:23:03.420 hung his protest on the church doors,
00:23:05.960 before Columbus rediscovered the fact
00:23:08.040 that the world was round.
00:23:10.140 We go past Newton,
00:23:11.720 Galileo,
00:23:12.560 the Dark Ages,
00:23:13.620 the Crusades,
00:23:14.940 back to a time before books,
00:23:17.120 when most of the world
00:23:18.800 couldn't read nor write,
00:23:20.860 and history was oral.
00:23:24.260 We leave this world now,
00:23:26.040 where we can hear and see
00:23:27.660 a lone protester
00:23:28.800 standing in front of a tank
00:23:30.320 in a country on the other side of the planet,
00:23:33.000 and we can see it live.
00:23:35.000 To a world seemingly simple,
00:23:37.920 yet brutal beyond our understanding,
00:23:40.780 where news was spread from mouth to mouth.
00:23:44.000 We stop here,
00:23:45.940 at approximately 29 of the Common Era.
00:23:50.000 We stop at a small walled city
00:23:54.080 in the Middle East.
00:23:55.760 It's around 10 o'clock at night,
00:23:58.060 just a couple of days before Passover.
00:24:01.400 The meals are being prepared,
00:24:03.560 the night's meal had already been eaten,
00:24:05.960 and most in the city are asleep.
00:24:09.420 One man, however, is not.
00:24:13.020 It's strange.
00:24:14.840 He's younger than I am.
00:24:17.220 He's about 30.
00:24:19.300 He's awake and alone in a garden.
00:24:23.200 His friends,
00:24:23.980 who have been with him for several years,
00:24:25.620 are just a few yards away.
00:24:27.660 They slumber underneath the star-filled sky.
00:24:31.400 They still don't know
00:24:32.860 that even though they sleep,
00:24:35.400 the world is about to wake.
00:24:37.420 Eleven of twelve men
00:24:41.780 sleep beside a hill.
00:24:44.340 One man awake.
00:24:47.040 He couldn't sleep,
00:24:48.860 for he knew.
00:24:51.680 He was in a garden,
00:24:53.480 in prayer,
00:24:55.120 praying so hard about what he knew
00:24:57.220 was about to come,
00:24:58.800 praying so hard that blood actually dripped
00:25:01.020 from his pores in a place of sweat.
00:25:03.360 Back at the hill,
00:25:05.940 when he returned,
00:25:07.340 he begged his friends
00:25:08.620 to wake and pray with him.
00:25:11.900 They didn't know how serious
00:25:13.740 his request really was.
00:25:16.280 They had no idea
00:25:17.600 what was just to come.
00:25:20.280 He pleaded with his friends,
00:25:22.540 Why will you not rise and pray with me?
00:25:25.700 He asked this again
00:25:26.960 before returning to the garden alone.
00:25:29.200 He knelt there on rocky soil,
00:25:32.440 his hands clasped,
00:25:34.180 his head bowed.
00:25:35.900 Twilight dew draped his neck,
00:25:38.440 the horizon still in black.
00:25:41.540 He prayed.
00:25:42.920 He prayed even harder,
00:25:44.660 for the sky would eventually turn purple,
00:25:47.280 then light blue.
00:25:48.980 And he knew what awaited him.
00:25:52.380 Back to the hill once more,
00:25:54.860 his friends asleep.
00:25:56.700 He begged his friends,
00:25:57.940 Rise, rise and pray with me.
00:26:01.060 I need you now more than ever.
00:26:03.640 They said they would.
00:26:05.300 But shortly after he left,
00:26:07.180 they fell asleep again.
00:26:09.520 The dawn was even closer.
00:26:12.380 And he knew his time was running out.
00:26:17.060 Now over the hill,
00:26:18.920 they marched like flowing lava
00:26:21.260 burning in the night's solace.
00:26:23.720 The eleven are surely awake now.
00:26:26.240 They have sworn their faith to him.
00:26:29.020 But he knows.
00:26:30.640 He knew this wasn't true.
00:26:33.320 They'll weaken,
00:26:34.400 and he'll be forsaken.
00:26:36.460 Forsaken by the same men
00:26:38.160 who just swore their undying devotion.
00:26:41.080 The torchlights grow brighter,
00:26:43.360 the hourglass running low,
00:26:45.540 the clanging of the metal swords and spears,
00:26:48.420 the sound and the vibration of the march
00:26:50.520 deep down from their feet to their spine,
00:26:53.040 creating a shallow vibration,
00:26:55.640 leaving them quivering.
00:26:57.660 The soldiers approach.
00:27:00.920 The one is grabbed and kissed.
00:27:05.620 Betrayed with a kiss.
00:27:08.380 A kiss wearing the mask of loyalty.
00:27:11.120 One of the men leap forward,
00:27:14.700 draws his sword,
00:27:15.680 cutting the ear off one of the soldiers.
00:27:17.980 He raises his hand.
00:27:20.000 No.
00:27:21.460 Peace.
00:27:23.000 Take me now in peace.
00:27:25.600 For this is my purpose.
00:27:28.240 This is my being.
00:27:30.640 This is the reason I came.
00:27:33.260 Now, one of them, Peter, strays.
00:27:40.020 While his friend is being persecuted
00:27:41.980 for crimes he didn't commit,
00:27:44.680 he stands by a fire,
00:27:46.560 denying any relationship he has
00:27:48.680 as he tries to blend in with the common people.
00:27:52.280 A woman approaches.
00:27:54.220 Didn't I see you with him?
00:27:56.440 Peter says,
00:27:57.320 Surely I don't know him,
00:27:58.900 but you're from Galilee.
00:28:00.400 For the third time, Peter says,
00:28:02.340 I do not know this man.
00:28:05.160 Now, Jesus is pulled back and forth
00:28:07.360 between the two who will determine his fate.
00:28:10.600 They can't see any crime,
00:28:13.260 but they still question, scourge, and mock him.
00:28:18.560 Aren't you the king?
00:28:21.600 Silence.
00:28:23.260 Then here is your crown,
00:28:25.500 says one as they give him a crown of thorns
00:28:28.240 and press it into his head.
00:28:30.020 He stands before the judge
00:28:32.800 who could condemn him for no crime,
00:28:35.880 but it is Passover.
00:28:38.580 He says to the crowd,
00:28:40.160 You, you can choose.
00:28:42.620 One I will release.
00:28:44.940 Him as the king of the Jews,
00:28:47.420 or...
00:28:48.840 Jesus, standing silent,
00:28:51.420 his eyes to the ground,
00:28:53.720 is condemned to death.
00:28:55.260 Jesus now carries his cross
00:28:59.160 through the stone-clad streets
00:29:00.940 to the place known as the Skull,
00:29:04.620 the place where he will soon die.
00:29:08.180 His back torn,
00:29:09.720 his head bleeding beneath his thorny crown.
00:29:12.960 The women cry out loud as he passes.
00:29:16.080 He pauses for a moment
00:29:17.520 and comforts them.
00:29:19.100 Do not weep for me.
00:29:22.620 Rather,
00:29:23.820 weep for yourselves.
00:29:26.560 His mother looks on
00:29:28.700 as huge nails are driven
00:29:30.420 through his hands and his feet.
00:29:32.480 They raise the cross
00:29:33.940 and slam it into the ground.
00:29:36.900 It is at this point
00:29:38.060 that all four writers of the gospel
00:29:40.320 struggled with a description
00:29:42.160 of the crucifixion,
00:29:43.740 as I have.
00:29:45.060 They described with the only words
00:29:48.940 that I could use.
00:29:52.160 And
00:29:52.680 they crucified him.
00:29:56.580 He now hung on the cross
00:29:58.600 as the soldiers bid lots
00:30:01.040 on his clothing below.
00:30:03.340 Next to him,
00:30:04.620 two criminals hang.
00:30:06.880 But they are simply tied to the cross.
00:30:10.140 One of them says,
00:30:11.640 You're the son of God.
00:30:13.160 Save us now.
00:30:13.980 Save all of us.
00:30:16.060 The man in the middle
00:30:17.280 does nothing.
00:30:19.580 For he
00:30:20.420 had a purpose.
00:30:23.540 The afternoon passes.
00:30:26.020 His skin stretched.
00:30:28.100 He wept.
00:30:29.380 He begged for water
00:30:30.560 and they gave him a sponge
00:30:32.060 on a reed
00:30:32.760 filled with vinegar.
00:30:35.040 In a moment
00:30:35.860 where he showed us
00:30:37.560 that he was truly human,
00:30:40.160 he cried out and said,
00:30:42.240 My father,
00:30:43.980 My father,
00:30:45.480 why have you forsaken me?
00:30:48.980 The sky began to grow dark.
00:30:52.340 It was approaching
00:30:53.160 three o'clock
00:30:54.500 on a Friday afternoon
00:30:56.800 when Jesus,
00:30:59.640 the carpenter
00:31:00.560 from Nazareth,
00:31:02.420 spoke once more
00:31:03.560 and only once.
00:31:06.860 His last words,
00:31:08.460 it
00:31:10.220 is finished.
00:31:14.840 So today,
00:31:16.780 people all over the world
00:31:18.460 do
00:31:19.680 as I do now.
00:31:22.880 I thank that lone carpenter
00:31:25.180 for dying.
00:31:28.360 Dying
00:31:29.000 on that Friday afternoon
00:31:30.700 so I
00:31:32.700 may live.
00:31:34.520 What matters most?
00:31:52.340 Happy Easter
00:31:53.420 and good Passover.

00:33:10.080 Glenn Beck
00:33:11.660 Mercury
00:33:12.560 Glenn Beck
00:33:20.580 When a Wall Street
00:33:23.840 billionaire
00:33:24.320 Stephen Schwartzman
00:33:25.620 announced that he
00:33:26.520 was donating
00:33:27.080 $25 million
00:33:28.000 to the Abington
00:33:29.120 Senior High School,
00:33:30.980 he said in a release
00:33:31.980 that investing in
00:33:32.860 public education
00:33:33.640 yields one of the
00:33:34.400 best returns
00:33:35.180 imaginable.
00:33:36.240 A new generation
00:33:37.240 of creative,
00:33:38.300 capable,
00:33:39.020 and collaborate
00:33:40.460 future leaders.
00:33:42.760 He's the CEO
00:33:43.760 of Blackstone.
00:33:45.600 I disagree with his
00:33:46.720 analysis there,
00:33:47.360 by the way.
00:33:48.160 All right,
00:33:50.640 I'm just
00:33:50.920 the side point.
00:33:52.280 Yes.
00:33:54.680 This was his
00:33:55.520 alma mater.
00:33:56.220 This was the
00:33:56.700 high school
00:33:57.240 that he
00:33:58.100 went to.
00:33:59.840 And he
00:34:00.900 wanted to give
00:34:01.460 back to the
00:34:02.100 community.
00:34:02.820 And he's already
00:34:03.480 given back to the
00:34:04.480 community.
00:34:04.940 I think there's a
00:34:05.520 stadium named
00:34:06.420 after him.
00:34:07.020 There's a hospital
00:34:07.660 named after him.
00:34:08.880 I mean,
00:34:09.120 he's given a lot
00:34:10.200 to this community.
00:34:12.500 The
00:34:12.740 school board
00:34:15.160 voted
00:34:15.820 unanimously
00:34:16.700 Tuesday night
00:34:18.300 to
00:34:18.980 accept his
00:34:20.540 money
00:34:20.860 and to
00:34:21.880 rename the
00:34:22.580 high school
00:34:23.160 Abington
00:34:23.820 Schwartzman
00:34:24.520 High School.
00:34:25.980 Well,
00:34:26.560 this has set
00:34:27.080 people up
00:34:27.940 all up in
00:34:28.660 arms.
00:34:29.660 How dare
00:34:30.160 this
00:34:30.600 egomaniac?
00:34:32.460 His name's
00:34:32.980 already on the
00:34:33.560 hospital.
00:34:33.960 His name's
00:34:34.380 already on the
00:34:35.120 stadium.
00:34:37.900 And now it's
00:34:38.420 on the high
00:34:39.100 school over the
00:34:39.900 front door as
00:34:40.700 well.
00:34:41.780 What an
00:34:42.220 egomaniac.
00:34:43.460 He's an
00:34:43.980 egomaniac?
00:34:44.780 He is.
00:34:46.440 He is.
00:34:47.760 The guy who's
00:34:49.060 giving you a
00:34:49.780 stadium,
00:34:50.640 giving you a
00:34:51.580 hospital,
00:34:52.080 giving you a
00:34:53.740 school,
00:34:55.120 he's an
00:34:55.920 egomaniac.
00:34:59.240 You won't
00:35:00.420 accept it.
00:35:01.620 You don't
00:35:02.160 want it.
00:35:03.440 For what
00:35:04.660 reason?
00:35:06.160 He's giving
00:35:07.200 you a
00:35:07.900 gift.
00:35:09.560 And all he's
00:35:10.680 asking for is,
00:35:11.860 hey, can I have
00:35:12.560 my name on it
00:35:13.160 just so people
00:35:14.400 remember?
00:35:15.300 I don't know
00:35:16.020 about you, but
00:35:16.460 the New York
00:35:16.920 Public Library
00:35:17.820 wasn't always
00:35:18.660 public.
00:35:19.260 It was
00:35:19.620 personal.
00:35:20.400 It was
00:35:20.680 private.
00:35:21.200 It was two
00:35:23.140 great men
00:35:24.160 that brought
00:35:25.560 their libraries
00:35:26.500 together and
00:35:27.560 gave it to
00:35:28.660 the city.
00:35:29.360 One of them
00:35:29.920 was Aster.
00:35:30.760 I can't
00:35:31.540 remember the
00:35:32.200 name of the
00:35:32.680 other one.
00:35:33.460 I don't think
00:35:34.180 it was Rockefeller.
00:35:35.400 I don't remember
00:35:36.120 who it was.
00:35:37.800 Why?
00:35:38.420 Because we call
00:35:38.960 it the New York
00:35:39.440 Public Library.
00:35:40.520 And all good
00:35:41.200 things come from
00:35:41.940 the government.
00:35:42.400 No, no.
00:35:45.280 That library
00:35:45.960 came from
00:35:46.880 two very
00:35:47.940 wealthy men
00:35:48.820 who we
00:35:49.720 now say
00:35:50.660 were robber
00:35:51.480 barons.
00:35:52.140 They were so
00:35:53.020 evil and so
00:35:54.220 bad, they were
00:35:55.440 robbing everybody
00:35:56.420 blind.
00:35:57.700 To what?
00:35:59.460 Give everybody
00:36:00.540 one of the
00:36:00.960 greatest libraries
00:36:02.020 the country has
00:36:02.960 ever known?
00:36:07.820 Who's the one
00:36:09.100 with the ego
00:36:09.600 problem?
00:36:10.060 I mean, you
00:36:12.040 can give in
00:36:13.280 secret.
00:36:15.740 Is it better
00:36:16.740 to give in
00:36:17.220 secret?
00:36:18.320 Probably.
00:36:19.540 We should.
00:36:20.980 We're not
00:36:21.320 looking for
00:36:22.100 accolades or
00:36:23.360 anything else.
00:36:24.340 But I'm going to
00:36:25.460 judge a guy who's
00:36:26.600 given $25 million
00:36:27.840 so the town can
00:36:29.580 have, instead of
00:36:30.840 a rundown high
00:36:31.800 school, a nicer
00:36:34.280 high school and
00:36:35.300 really pour money
00:36:36.720 into education.
00:36:37.620 I'm going to
00:36:38.740 have a problem
00:36:39.540 with him putting
00:36:40.360 his name on
00:36:41.080 it?
00:36:42.620 I mean, he
00:36:43.260 didn't even get
00:36:43.700 it first.
00:36:45.260 It's Abington
00:36:45.880 Schwartzman's high
00:36:46.940 school.
00:36:47.440 It should be
00:36:47.840 Schwartzman
00:36:48.300 Abington.
00:36:48.840 It's really
00:36:49.440 crazy.
00:36:50.380 It's really
00:36:50.860 crazy.
00:36:51.300 What is wrong
00:36:51.740 with us?
00:36:53.200 What is wrong
00:36:53.620 with us?
00:36:54.340 You should be
00:36:54.660 excited about
00:36:55.260 that.
00:36:55.540 Who cares if he
00:36:56.000 wants to put
00:36:56.320 his name on
00:36:56.820 there?
00:36:57.760 Who cares?
00:36:57.960 How about
00:36:58.180 this one?
00:36:59.040 Thank you.
00:36:59.780 You should be
00:37:00.200 telling him we
00:37:01.600 demand to put
00:37:02.580 your name on
00:37:03.140 there.
00:37:03.340 Yes.
00:37:03.860 That's what it
00:37:04.280 should be.
00:37:04.880 But you know
00:37:05.200 what this is?
00:37:05.820 This is class
00:37:06.760 hatred.
00:37:07.700 Yeah.
00:37:08.120 Class hatred.
00:37:09.000 You bring up
00:37:09.220 the public
00:37:09.840 library.
00:37:10.260 It was Aster
00:37:10.700 and Lennox
00:37:11.160 by the way,
00:37:11.800 the two,
00:37:12.420 and Tilden.
00:37:14.400 But again,
00:37:15.240 people believe
00:37:16.680 that that's just
00:37:17.400 a government
00:37:17.900 thing because
00:37:18.880 it's called
00:37:19.280 the New York
00:37:19.660 Public Library.
00:37:20.940 And it's like,
00:37:21.280 no, these are
00:37:21.700 great men who
00:37:22.980 donated all of
00:37:24.000 this to the
00:37:24.940 city and now
00:37:25.680 no one remembers
00:37:26.260 it.
00:37:28.220 Thank you,
00:37:28.960 Mr.
00:37:29.300 Schwartzman.
00:37:29.800 My kids will
00:37:30.400 never use your
00:37:31.340 stadium or your
00:37:32.140 high school,
00:37:32.860 but thank you.
00:37:34.780 Glenn,
00:37:35.640 back.
00:37:36.060 Mercury.
00:37:42.520 Love.
00:37:43.860 Courage.
00:37:45.480 Truth.
00:37:47.200 Glenn Beck.
00:37:48.940 It's a snowy
00:37:49.640 Sunday afternoon
00:37:50.840 in the bustling
00:37:51.680 cobblestone city
00:37:52.800 square of an
00:37:53.480 English cathedral
00:37:54.300 town.
00:37:55.500 People are
00:37:56.120 huddled together
00:37:56.920 as they shuffle
00:37:57.640 from one shop
00:37:58.400 to the next.
00:37:59.580 A man and his
00:38:00.320 daughter stroll
00:38:00.980 into a pub
00:38:01.660 and walk into
00:38:03.200 a nearby
00:38:04.080 restaurant for
00:38:04.980 a meal.
00:38:07.040 For this
00:38:07.720 moment,
00:38:08.120 this last
00:38:08.920 moment,
00:38:10.420 life continues
00:38:11.500 as usual.
00:38:12.920 For this
00:38:13.580 moment,
00:38:14.280 this quiet
00:38:14.860 town is
00:38:15.660 quaint.
00:38:18.120 After their
00:38:18.860 meal,
00:38:19.200 the man and
00:38:19.760 his daughter
00:38:20.220 go out and
00:38:21.400 watch the
00:38:22.600 snow fall as
00:38:23.780 they sit on a
00:38:24.580 bench.
00:38:24.940 and suddenly
00:38:27.900 they're both
00:38:28.880 slumped over.
00:38:30.740 On closer look,
00:38:32.100 the woman is now
00:38:33.180 foaming at the
00:38:33.840 mouth.
00:38:34.160 Her eyes are
00:38:34.700 wide and pale.
00:38:35.820 She's lost
00:38:36.300 control of her
00:38:37.120 bodily functions.
00:38:37.980 A doctor who
00:38:39.220 had been shopping
00:38:40.200 nearby with her
00:38:40.980 husband takes a
00:38:41.700 look now at
00:38:42.380 these two
00:38:42.900 zombie-like
00:38:43.780 people.
00:38:46.040 Patient zero?
00:38:48.340 A new
00:38:49.100 infection?
00:38:50.080 We've seen it
00:38:50.940 in zombie films.
00:38:52.640 The infection
00:38:53.320 metastasizes
00:38:54.760 rabidly,
00:38:56.120 eventually disrupting
00:38:57.040 life on a global
00:38:58.040 level as all of us
00:38:59.580 are turned into
00:39:00.240 zombies.
00:39:01.680 But in this
00:39:02.780 case,
00:39:03.600 the infection
00:39:05.320 doesn't spread
00:39:06.300 like that.
00:39:07.980 It's not a
00:39:08.500 disease.
00:39:10.560 This is
00:39:11.340 diplomatic
00:39:11.900 chaos that
00:39:13.520 grows more
00:39:14.100 virulent with
00:39:14.900 each reaction.
00:39:17.300 Within an
00:39:18.100 hour,
00:39:18.840 the man,
00:39:19.420 a former
00:39:19.720 Russian spy,
00:39:20.520 and his
00:39:20.760 daughter have
00:39:21.220 become catalyst
00:39:22.560 to the
00:39:23.280 re-ignition of
00:39:24.480 the Cold War.
00:39:26.540 It seems
00:39:27.260 really clear that
00:39:28.160 the Russians had
00:39:28.860 been brazen.
00:39:30.040 The man they
00:39:30.580 had poisoned,
00:39:31.580 a former
00:39:31.980 double agent who
00:39:32.860 had retired in
00:39:33.740 England after
00:39:34.300 being convicted
00:39:34.940 of high treason
00:39:35.780 by Russian
00:39:36.260 courts.
00:39:36.680 he was a
00:39:38.080 British citizen.
00:39:40.100 He had died
00:39:41.080 on British soil
00:39:42.020 in a cozy
00:39:43.000 English town.
00:39:46.040 British Prime
00:39:46.900 Minister Theresa
00:39:47.600 May was
00:39:48.000 outraged.
00:39:48.920 She unequivocally
00:39:50.840 castigated the
00:39:51.840 Russian government
00:39:52.640 who continues to
00:39:53.620 deny their
00:39:54.180 involvement.
00:39:55.100 She expelled
00:39:55.640 23 Russian
00:39:56.520 diplomats from
00:39:57.220 the country.
00:39:58.000 The U.S.
00:39:58.660 followed suit,
00:40:00.060 closing the
00:40:00.560 Russian consulate
00:40:01.360 general in
00:40:02.080 Seattle,
00:40:03.360 too close to
00:40:04.160 a sub-base.
00:40:06.340 Then dispelled
00:40:07.220 60 diplomats.
00:40:08.840 More than
00:40:09.140 20 countries
00:40:10.060 dispelled
00:40:10.480 Russian diplomats
00:40:11.340 in an act of
00:40:12.020 diplomatic unity
00:40:12.940 with Britain
00:40:13.540 in what is
00:40:14.620 the largest
00:40:15.180 expulsion of
00:40:16.000 Russian intelligence
00:40:17.040 officers in
00:40:17.880 history.
00:40:19.980 Yesterday,
00:40:21.060 the Russians
00:40:21.900 followed through
00:40:22.540 on their threats
00:40:23.280 and ousted
00:40:24.020 60 American
00:40:25.060 diplomats.
00:40:25.740 as we now
00:40:29.980 gaze wide-eyed.
00:40:32.400 What does
00:40:33.240 this mean?
00:40:34.680 Said
00:40:35.320 yesterday,
00:40:36.540 quote,
00:40:37.340 Russia's
00:40:37.800 response was
00:40:38.420 not unanticipated
00:40:39.540 and the
00:40:40.380 United States
00:40:41.020 will deal
00:40:41.580 with it.
00:40:43.640 This is just
00:40:44.820 another piece
00:40:45.780 of critical
00:40:46.580 upheaval
00:40:47.260 on the
00:40:47.800 global scale.
00:40:49.640 Played out
00:40:50.640 sometimes like
00:40:51.580 a game of
00:40:52.500 checkers.
00:40:53.660 What's
00:40:58.480 interesting to
00:40:59.240 me is we
00:40:59.900 are more
00:41:00.400 interested
00:41:01.060 in
00:41:02.880 Stormy
00:41:03.520 Daniels
00:41:04.260 than we
00:41:05.940 are
00:41:06.420 about what's
00:41:08.140 taking place
00:41:08.840 all around
00:41:09.380 us,
00:41:10.400 like murder
00:41:11.560 in broad
00:41:12.760 daylight.
00:41:18.780 It's
00:41:19.460 Friday,
00:41:20.160 March
00:41:20.440 30th.
00:41:21.520 This is
00:41:22.200 the Glenn Beck
00:41:22.780 program.
00:41:24.660 Happy Easter
00:41:25.580 and welcome
00:41:26.420 to Bill O'Reilly.
00:41:27.900 How are you,
00:41:28.420 Bill?
00:41:29.160 I'm okay,
00:41:30.160 Beck.
00:41:30.420 Thanks for
00:41:30.860 asking.
00:41:31.600 Sure.
00:41:32.140 Let me just
00:41:32.580 get any,
00:41:33.560 do you have
00:41:33.920 any additional
00:41:34.560 or new
00:41:34.980 thoughts on
00:41:35.620 Russia and
00:41:36.600 the expelling
00:41:37.100 of the 60
00:41:37.680 diplomats?
00:41:38.380 I mean,
00:41:38.520 it's expected.
00:41:40.220 Any thoughts
00:41:41.080 on what it
00:41:41.860 means,
00:41:42.260 where we go
00:41:42.760 from here?
00:41:43.640 Well,
00:41:44.360 you know,
00:41:45.040 you'll know
00:41:45.740 that I was,
00:41:46.720 I love to
00:41:47.540 brag on your
00:41:48.180 show.
00:41:48.500 I know.
00:41:49.260 It is
00:41:49.880 unseemly on
00:41:50.800 Good Friday
00:41:51.560 and the beginning
00:41:52.040 of Passover.
00:41:52.540 It's pretty
00:41:53.100 much
00:41:53.420 unseemly in,
00:41:55.220 well,
00:41:55.500 every week,
00:41:56.260 but it's been
00:41:56.780 known.
00:41:57.040 You'll know
00:41:57.660 that I
00:41:58.220 kicked off
00:41:59.000 the Trump
00:41:59.400 administration
00:41:59.920 by interviewing
00:42:01.460 a president.
00:42:02.380 I know,
00:42:02.680 you tell me
00:42:03.180 every week.
00:42:03.560 And my marquee
00:42:05.420 was asking
00:42:06.420 him,
00:42:07.120 why are you
00:42:08.440 friendly with
00:42:12.240 a killer?
00:42:13.400 Putin.
00:42:14.860 Why?
00:42:15.520 All of us
00:42:16.180 who follow
00:42:16.860 international
00:42:17.680 news know
00:42:18.900 that Putin
00:42:19.740 has an
00:42:21.000 arm of
00:42:21.980 assassins.
00:42:23.600 And they go
00:42:24.680 all over the
00:42:25.360 world and they
00:42:26.060 kill people.
00:42:27.640 All right?
00:42:27.900 And CIA
00:42:29.180 knows it,
00:42:30.260 MI6 knows
00:42:31.140 it,
00:42:31.360 and Britain,
00:42:31.700 everybody knows
00:42:32.340 it.
00:42:33.220 All right?
00:42:33.600 And that's
00:42:33.980 what happened
00:42:34.480 to these
00:42:35.140 people in
00:42:35.880 Great Britain.
00:42:37.340 So,
00:42:38.440 what do you
00:42:39.000 do?
00:42:39.960 Putin runs
00:42:40.880 the show
00:42:41.420 in Russia,
00:42:42.360 he's not
00:42:42.800 going anywhere,
00:42:44.060 you're not
00:42:44.560 going to
00:42:44.820 change him.
00:42:46.400 If he
00:42:47.020 weren't the
00:42:47.420 president,
00:42:47.900 he'd probably
00:42:48.420 be one of
00:42:48.940 the assassins.
00:42:50.440 I mean,
00:42:50.820 did you have
00:42:51.200 a look at
00:42:51.580 the guy's
00:42:52.040 eyes?
00:42:53.340 Okay.
00:42:54.300 So,
00:42:54.840 then you
00:42:55.360 have to
00:42:55.660 basically take
00:42:56.700 it case by
00:42:57.280 case.
00:42:58.240 And I
00:42:58.720 think that
00:42:59.180 the expulsion
00:43:00.460 of the
00:43:00.800 Russian diplomats
00:43:01.680 was something
00:43:03.380 that the
00:43:04.400 countries could
00:43:04.960 do to send
00:43:06.260 a message to
00:43:06.880 Putin.
00:43:07.160 Does Putin
00:43:07.560 care?
00:43:08.020 He cares a
00:43:08.760 bit.
00:43:09.500 He doesn't
00:43:09.960 want to be
00:43:10.420 an international
00:43:11.100 pariah.
00:43:12.240 And I think
00:43:12.740 that's how you
00:43:13.280 go with him.
00:43:13.980 You try to
00:43:14.820 isolate and
00:43:15.540 marginalize him
00:43:16.560 personally,
00:43:17.480 and maybe he'll
00:43:18.500 stop a little
00:43:19.380 bit.
00:43:19.760 Does this
00:43:19.960 really matter
00:43:20.640 to anybody
00:43:21.260 in their
00:43:21.820 real life?
00:43:22.700 No,
00:43:23.060 because it's
00:43:23.720 so distant.
00:43:25.300 You know,
00:43:25.720 it's so far
00:43:26.340 away.
00:43:27.220 They don't
00:43:27.860 know where
00:43:28.280 Crimea is,
00:43:29.480 and I'm not
00:43:29.820 being super
00:43:30.360 silly as
00:43:30.880 word of the
00:43:31.280 day,
00:43:31.640 super silly
00:43:32.080 is,
00:43:32.620 but most
00:43:33.060 people don't
00:43:33.500 know where
00:43:34.020 it is.
00:43:34.420 They don't
00:43:34.580 care about
00:43:35.100 Ukraine.
00:43:36.280 They don't
00:43:36.780 care about
00:43:37.360 how Russia
00:43:38.140 operates.
00:43:38.980 It doesn't
00:43:39.340 touch upon
00:43:39.880 their lives.
00:43:41.360 So,
00:43:41.960 yeah,
00:43:42.640 I mean,
00:43:43.020 they know
00:43:43.420 Putin's a
00:43:43.920 bad guy
00:43:44.760 who runs
00:43:45.880 around topless
00:43:46.660 in the
00:43:47.100 Arctic,
00:43:47.820 but that's
00:43:48.720 about all
00:43:49.120 they know
00:43:49.440 about him.
00:43:49.820 Is this
00:43:51.160 something they
00:43:51.860 should care
00:43:52.300 about?
00:43:52.620 And if so,
00:43:53.060 why?
00:43:53.920 Well,
00:43:54.480 it depends
00:43:55.360 on what
00:43:55.680 kind of a
00:43:56.060 citizen you
00:43:56.680 are.
00:43:57.920 I mean,
00:43:58.300 if you're
00:43:58.700 a really
00:43:59.200 hyper-aware
00:44:00.120 citizen that
00:44:02.000 is interested
00:44:03.040 in the world,
00:44:03.880 of course,
00:44:04.500 you have to
00:44:04.880 care and
00:44:05.380 pay attention,
00:44:06.060 but most
00:44:06.360 people are
00:44:06.780 just trying
00:44:07.500 to make a
00:44:07.860 living and
00:44:08.380 getting through
00:44:08.840 the day or
00:44:09.580 the week.
00:44:10.100 I don't
00:44:12.420 come down on
00:44:13.020 people who
00:44:13.480 are apathetic
00:44:14.640 about what
00:44:15.080 Putin does.
00:44:15.960 Or
00:44:16.180 supercilious.
00:44:19.200 That's me.
00:44:20.160 Super
00:44:20.540 silly because
00:44:21.000 he's arrogant.
00:44:22.060 I mean,
00:44:22.320 I'm talking
00:44:22.960 down to
00:44:23.440 people.
00:44:24.060 Our
00:44:24.400 government is
00:44:25.060 charged with
00:44:25.820 keeping an
00:44:26.320 eye on
00:44:26.680 Putin.
00:44:27.860 And so we
00:44:28.960 have to have
00:44:29.320 enough confidence
00:44:29.940 that our
00:44:31.000 government will
00:44:32.380 do that.
00:44:33.880 And at this
00:44:34.660 point, I do.
00:44:35.200 I think
00:44:35.800 that we're
00:44:36.860 keeping a
00:44:37.360 close eye on
00:44:38.000 this guy.
00:44:38.720 All right.
00:44:38.860 Let me
00:44:39.220 change
00:44:39.840 directions.
00:44:41.160 On the
00:44:41.340 Daily Wire,
00:44:43.340 Ben Shapiro's
00:44:44.360 people went
00:44:44.800 out and
00:44:45.500 they talked
00:44:47.120 to Georgetown
00:44:47.800 University
00:44:48.680 students.
00:44:50.700 And they
00:44:50.980 asked them
00:44:51.660 about George
00:44:52.480 Washington.
00:44:53.180 I'm sorry,
00:44:53.500 not Georgetown,
00:44:54.140 but George
00:44:54.460 Washington
00:44:54.820 University,
00:44:55.300 and asked
00:44:55.840 them about
00:44:56.360 George
00:44:56.680 Washington.
00:44:57.200 I want
00:44:57.440 you to
00:44:57.640 listen to
00:44:58.020 this audio,
00:44:58.680 Bill.
00:44:59.400 I'm
00:44:59.720 Ami Horowitz,
00:45:00.620 and I'm
00:45:00.860 here on the
00:45:01.220 campus of
00:45:01.720 George
00:45:02.040 Washington
00:45:02.580 University,
00:45:03.240 named after
00:45:03.720 our first
00:45:04.520 president,
00:45:05.200 and also
00:45:05.940 a slave
00:45:06.440 owner.
00:45:07.560 I wonder
00:45:07.860 if students
00:45:08.380 here think
00:45:08.800 we should
00:45:09.020 keep the
00:45:09.360 name or
00:45:10.080 change it.
00:45:10.720 Personally,
00:45:11.440 I would
00:45:11.860 change the
00:45:12.660 name.
00:45:13.140 I think
00:45:13.420 that it
00:45:13.680 should be
00:45:13.980 changed.
00:45:15.040 I think
00:45:15.680 that recognition
00:45:16.440 is super
00:45:17.220 important.
00:45:17.820 And I
00:45:17.940 think that
00:45:18.260 recognition
00:45:18.620 of?
00:45:19.380 Recognition
00:45:19.800 for who
00:45:20.240 he was
00:45:20.560 as a
00:45:20.740 person.
00:45:21.240 I don't
00:45:21.540 agree
00:45:21.740 with
00:45:21.980 slave trade,
00:45:23.860 so yeah.
00:45:26.000 Would you
00:45:26.180 change the
00:45:26.480 name?
00:45:27.240 If you
00:45:27.380 could do
00:45:27.600 it?
00:45:27.820 Yeah.
00:45:28.280 Yeah,
00:45:28.740 sure.
00:45:29.360 That was
00:45:29.720 1776,
00:45:30.620 2018,
00:45:31.540 and I
00:45:32.460 think it's
00:45:32.720 important that
00:45:33.240 we realize
00:45:35.020 and
00:45:35.500 reupholstered
00:45:36.260 the systems
00:45:36.800 that built
00:45:37.220 us.
00:45:37.580 Sure,
00:45:37.880 I think we
00:45:38.420 should change
00:45:38.880 the name.
00:45:39.260 It's not to
00:45:39.620 say that he
00:45:39.960 wasn't an
00:45:40.400 important man
00:45:40.940 back then,
00:45:41.560 it's just
00:45:41.900 saying that in
00:45:42.320 this day and
00:45:42.720 age it's not
00:45:43.220 as important,
00:45:43.700 I don't think.
00:45:44.120 What's the
00:45:44.580 first thing
00:45:44.840 that comes to
00:45:45.140 mind when I
00:45:45.560 say George
00:45:45.940 Washington?
00:45:47.400 I think
00:45:47.980 about him
00:45:48.720 only slaves,
00:45:49.460 yeah.
00:45:52.340 So college
00:45:53.280 kids are
00:45:53.680 morons,
00:45:54.400 is that the
00:45:55.200 headline here?
00:45:57.180 I will tell
00:45:58.160 you, I
00:45:58.480 about burst a
00:46:00.260 blood vessel
00:46:00.960 when...
00:46:01.720 Here's the
00:46:02.180 bigger story.
00:46:03.100 Here's the
00:46:03.640 bigger story,
00:46:04.460 because I know
00:46:05.040 you always
00:46:05.560 hunger for the
00:46:06.600 big story.
00:46:07.780 This kind
00:46:08.660 of infantile
00:46:10.280 analysis is
00:46:12.160 taking hold
00:46:13.120 on colleges
00:46:13.860 all across
00:46:14.820 the United
00:46:15.660 States.
00:46:16.820 Because of
00:46:17.800 the cowardly
00:46:18.980 administrators
00:46:19.880 who are put
00:46:21.240 in there,
00:46:21.900 who kiss
00:46:22.420 the butts
00:46:23.360 of the far
00:46:24.000 left and
00:46:24.540 any radical
00:46:25.280 people on
00:46:27.080 campus,
00:46:27.680 and they
00:46:27.880 don't want
00:46:28.220 any micro
00:46:29.100 aggressions
00:46:29.960 or macro
00:46:30.740 aggressions.
00:46:32.060 Look,
00:46:32.640 these idiots
00:46:33.360 at George
00:46:34.380 Washington
00:46:34.880 University
00:46:35.720 are
00:46:37.880 ignorant,
00:46:40.260 they want
00:46:40.940 to re-
00:46:41.520 upholster.
00:46:42.760 I love
00:46:43.160 that.
00:46:44.180 You know
00:46:45.580 what?
00:46:45.980 I want
00:46:46.440 to re-
00:46:46.720 upholster
00:46:47.060 your head
00:46:47.840 and just
00:46:48.860 put upholstery
00:46:49.720 all over it
00:46:50.600 so you
00:46:50.940 can't speak.
00:46:52.060 I'm a
00:46:52.440 fascist,
00:46:53.020 okay.
00:46:53.640 I don't
00:46:54.020 have any
00:46:54.400 statues,
00:46:55.020 so you
00:46:55.240 can't take
00:46:55.700 them down.
00:46:57.660 George
00:46:58.180 Washington,
00:46:59.220 if you
00:46:59.580 read Killing
00:47:00.160 England,
00:47:00.400 and I know
00:47:00.860 you both
00:47:01.260 have,
00:47:01.860 is a
00:47:03.760 tremendous
00:47:04.440 hero,
00:47:06.180 and almost
00:47:08.020 solely
00:47:08.760 responsible for
00:47:10.140 the freedoms
00:47:10.660 we have in
00:47:11.260 America today.
00:47:12.300 All the freedoms.
00:47:13.940 Okay,
00:47:14.360 that's the
00:47:15.200 truth.
00:47:16.760 Yes,
00:47:17.120 he held
00:47:17.660 slaves.
00:47:18.700 He was a
00:47:19.380 product of
00:47:20.120 the aristocracy
00:47:21.080 of the
00:47:22.580 18th century.
00:47:24.240 All right?
00:47:25.020 Yes,
00:47:25.560 he did.
00:47:26.500 That was
00:47:27.040 wrong.
00:47:27.980 John Quincy
00:47:28.640 Adams and his
00:47:29.280 father John Adams
00:47:30.120 knew it was
00:47:30.660 wrong.
00:47:31.500 Washington
00:47:31.940 looked the
00:47:32.860 other way.
00:47:33.580 You cannot
00:47:34.020 negate his
00:47:34.920 whole life
00:47:35.620 because he
00:47:37.320 was an
00:47:37.940 aristocrat in
00:47:38.760 the 18th century
00:47:39.600 and that's
00:47:40.120 what southern
00:47:40.980 aristocrats did.
00:47:41.980 They held
00:47:42.340 slaves.
00:47:43.400 So it just
00:47:44.640 gets me crazy.
00:47:45.800 I don't know
00:47:46.100 whether you
00:47:46.460 know what's
00:47:47.020 going on in
00:47:47.460 Holy Cross,
00:47:48.360 College of
00:47:48.820 Holy Cross in
00:47:49.460 Worcester,
00:47:49.760 Massachusetts.
00:47:50.580 They have this
00:47:51.260 guy teaching
00:47:52.620 who says that
00:47:53.760 Jesus was a
00:47:55.820 drag king.
00:47:57.040 A drag king.
00:47:59.180 Yeah.
00:47:59.460 Okay?
00:48:00.080 The College of
00:48:00.680 the Holy Cross
00:48:01.220 at Jesuit
00:48:01.780 University.
00:48:02.780 Oh, well, he
00:48:03.500 has academic
00:48:04.100 freedom.
00:48:05.240 You know, oh,
00:48:06.240 we don't really
00:48:06.780 agree with him.
00:48:08.140 This is the
00:48:08.500 president of the
00:48:09.220 university.
00:48:09.900 I don't really
00:48:10.660 agree with
00:48:11.200 academic freedom.
00:48:12.700 I sent my
00:48:13.520 daughter to
00:48:14.540 Fordham University
00:48:15.420 where they
00:48:15.960 promptly taught
00:48:16.700 her, the
00:48:17.000 priests, the
00:48:17.620 Jesuits,
00:48:18.460 promptly taught
00:48:19.060 her that the
00:48:19.500 Bible was a
00:48:20.140 collection of
00:48:20.660 stories and
00:48:21.160 none of it's
00:48:21.560 true.
00:48:22.280 Yeah, my
00:48:22.640 daughter goes
00:48:23.140 to Fordham
00:48:23.580 too.
00:48:24.000 Yeah.
00:48:24.580 All right?
00:48:25.200 But Fordham is
00:48:25.940 a little bit
00:48:26.420 better.
00:48:26.740 A little bit.
00:48:28.520 They didn't
00:48:28.980 give in to
00:48:29.520 this radical
00:48:31.360 group that
00:48:32.120 was telling
00:48:32.620 Republican
00:48:33.200 students in
00:48:34.240 the Republican
00:48:34.760 Club, you
00:48:35.540 can't go into
00:48:36.460 the campus
00:48:36.980 coffee shop.
00:48:38.460 The administration
00:48:39.600 of Fordham
00:48:40.220 stood up to
00:48:41.020 that.
00:48:41.840 Okay?
00:48:42.200 But you
00:48:42.560 have an
00:48:43.200 unbelievable
00:48:43.960 wave of
00:48:44.980 cowardice on
00:48:46.700 these college
00:48:47.900 campuses now.
00:48:49.040 And the
00:48:49.480 radical idiots
00:48:50.300 know it.
00:48:51.120 And they
00:48:51.420 use the
00:48:52.560 students.
00:48:53.340 Just like
00:48:53.880 they're using
00:48:54.420 this David
00:48:55.520 Hogg kid in
00:48:56.580 Florida.
00:48:57.100 And I hope
00:48:57.360 we get into
00:48:57.820 that in the
00:48:58.220 next segment.
00:48:58.860 We are.
00:48:59.480 We are.
00:49:00.140 They're using
00:49:01.020 these kids because
00:49:02.140 they know the
00:49:02.720 kids are stupid
00:49:03.560 and they know
00:49:04.760 the kids are
00:49:05.600 motivated by
00:49:06.500 peer pressure.
00:49:08.240 And I'll tell you
00:49:08.760 one more thing
00:49:09.260 before you take a
00:49:09.980 break because I
00:49:10.580 understand your
00:49:11.200 break cycle.
00:49:11.780 Beck.
00:49:12.100 I study your
00:49:13.640 operation.
00:49:14.980 Okay?
00:49:15.920 I was thinking
00:49:17.000 about sending my
00:49:17.720 daughter to
00:49:18.120 George Washington
00:49:18.840 University.
00:49:19.680 So I went down
00:49:20.560 and I checked
00:49:21.460 out the dorms
00:49:22.420 and they're
00:49:23.200 located in the
00:49:24.020 city of
00:49:24.400 Washington.
00:49:25.160 And I walked
00:49:25.940 in and I
00:49:27.000 could not breathe
00:49:27.900 in the dorms
00:49:29.020 in George
00:49:29.700 Washington U.
00:49:30.600 Do you know
00:49:30.900 why?
00:49:31.620 Pot.
00:49:32.540 Yes.
00:49:33.440 Overwhelming.
00:49:34.300 You couldn't
00:49:35.080 breathe in the
00:49:36.840 dormitories there.
00:49:38.100 So that tells
00:49:38.880 you all you
00:49:39.320 need to know
00:49:39.720 about George
00:49:40.220 Washington.
00:49:40.320 I will tell
00:49:40.980 you this,
00:49:41.480 Bill.
00:49:41.760 I don't think
00:49:43.540 these kids are
00:49:44.360 stupid.
00:49:44.940 I think these
00:49:45.460 kids are being
00:49:46.040 misled.
00:49:46.840 I think there
00:49:47.340 is...
00:49:47.860 No, no.
00:49:49.760 If you don't
00:49:50.540 seek the truth,
00:49:51.800 if you don't
00:49:52.460 learn history,
00:49:53.440 you're stupid.
00:49:55.700 I will tell
00:49:56.800 you that if you
00:49:57.700 were growing up
00:49:58.780 in today's
00:50:00.020 society where
00:50:01.360 almost every
00:50:02.540 teacher is
00:50:03.400 teaching you
00:50:04.340 falsehoods and
00:50:05.860 the media is
00:50:07.520 showing you
00:50:08.140 falsehoods and
00:50:10.220 all of popular
00:50:12.240 culture is
00:50:13.620 showing you
00:50:14.640 falsehoods and
00:50:16.200 rewarding those
00:50:17.700 who fall in
00:50:19.100 line with the
00:50:19.660 falsehoods, I'm
00:50:20.780 not sure that
00:50:21.640 the average
00:50:22.360 person is that
00:50:24.200 intellectually
00:50:25.100 curious.
00:50:26.680 I do blame
00:50:28.120 probably 10% to
00:50:30.200 18% of the
00:50:31.340 population is
00:50:32.280 strong enough
00:50:33.040 to say,
00:50:34.040 wait a minute,
00:50:35.260 stop it.
00:50:36.220 no, but
00:50:38.320 not everybody
00:50:39.060 is cut for
00:50:40.440 that kind of
00:50:41.580 travel.
00:50:42.940 I will tell
00:50:43.400 you, Bill,
00:50:44.080 that I was
00:50:44.520 ignorant most
00:50:45.380 of my life
00:50:46.040 because it's
00:50:46.680 easy to be
00:50:47.440 ignorant.
00:50:48.240 It's hard to
00:50:49.100 say, wait a
00:50:49.780 minute, wait a
00:50:50.380 minute, and go
00:50:51.640 completely against
00:50:52.780 the grain.
00:50:53.920 I have 18 lines
00:50:55.660 for that, but I'm
00:50:56.420 not going to do
00:50:57.160 it because it's
00:50:57.640 Good Friday.
00:50:58.600 I'm telling you,
00:50:59.640 Beck, I'm not
00:51:00.540 cutting these
00:51:01.160 college students,
00:51:02.560 college students,
00:51:04.000 not high school
00:51:04.860 kids, college.
00:51:06.780 There's enough
00:51:07.560 stuff out there
00:51:09.040 if you want to
00:51:10.400 find out about
00:51:11.060 George Washington
00:51:11.920 Reed killing
00:51:12.640 England.
00:51:13.420 Number one book
00:51:14.360 for 12 weeks,
00:51:15.600 got it?
00:51:16.300 I got it.
00:51:18.100 I just don't
00:51:19.120 know that if
00:51:20.220 calling them
00:51:21.140 stupid is the
00:51:22.860 way to get
00:51:23.520 them to be
00:51:25.220 more intellectually
00:51:26.500 curious.
00:51:27.900 Well, look,
00:51:28.640 you know me,
00:51:29.840 no spin.
00:51:31.040 They're stupid.
00:51:35.800 Oh, man.
00:51:37.260 Okay.
00:51:40.700 Let's talk about
00:51:42.040 the volatility in
00:51:43.100 the stock market.
00:51:44.720 Wild swings in
00:51:46.180 Bitcoin.
00:51:47.620 The constant
00:51:48.420 turmoil in
00:51:49.220 Washington.
00:51:50.860 Gold has just
00:51:51.840 come off its
00:51:52.580 best year since,
00:51:54.300 I think, 2010.
00:51:56.160 So why is that
00:51:57.640 happening?
00:51:58.080 Because gold is
00:51:59.360 the thing that
00:52:01.540 is when
00:52:03.340 everything else
00:52:04.620 becomes unstable,
00:52:05.680 the world
00:52:06.380 rushes to gold.
00:52:07.820 So when there
00:52:08.220 is high
00:52:09.520 inflation,
00:52:10.580 the hedge
00:52:11.460 against inflation
00:52:12.160 is gold.
00:52:13.420 When there
00:52:14.200 is currency
00:52:15.720 or economic
00:52:17.140 insecurity
00:52:17.820 and volatility,
00:52:19.320 the world
00:52:19.820 rushes to gold.
00:52:20.760 This is the
00:52:21.160 way it has
00:52:21.640 always been.
00:52:23.180 Now, the world
00:52:23.800 has been rushing
00:52:24.300 to Bitcoin,
00:52:24.840 and then the
00:52:25.360 world rushed
00:52:25.860 away from
00:52:26.580 Bitcoin,
00:52:27.460 and look what
00:52:28.080 went up.
00:52:29.120 Gold.
00:52:30.680 Gold line.
00:52:31.600 I want you to
00:52:32.080 call them now
00:52:32.700 and get,
00:52:33.460 they've got a
00:52:33.960 couple of
00:52:34.300 pamphlets out.
00:52:35.040 One of them
00:52:35.540 is from the
00:52:36.720 Royal Canadian
00:52:37.440 Mint,
00:52:37.840 and it will
00:52:38.120 tell you all
00:52:38.700 about all of
00:52:39.380 the different
00:52:39.740 things on
00:52:40.760 why you should
00:52:41.560 consider buying
00:52:42.940 gold or silver
00:52:44.180 and supplementing
00:52:46.420 your IRA.
00:52:47.840 Now is a good
00:52:48.420 time to do that.
00:52:49.280 In fact,
00:52:49.600 gold line is
00:52:50.100 offering $750 in
00:52:51.760 free coins when
00:52:52.520 you purchase
00:52:52.860 $25,000 or
00:52:53.760 more using
00:52:54.820 their Express
00:52:55.980 IRA program.
00:52:57.240 So balance
00:52:58.580 yourself out so
00:53:00.040 you can weather
00:53:00.840 any storm.

00:53:33.460 Glenn Beck
00:53:44.580 Speaking of
00:53:46.940 Bill O'Reilly,
00:53:48.060 Good Friday.
00:53:50.240 He's trying to be
00:53:51.340 good, but it is
00:53:52.800 Friday.
00:53:54.600 We were just
00:53:55.400 talking about
00:53:56.060 George Washington
00:53:57.200 University and
00:53:57.860 the students that
00:53:58.600 are in college,
00:54:00.020 and Bill was
00:54:00.700 talking about how
00:54:01.500 they were stupid,
00:54:02.260 and I believe
00:54:03.680 they are unchallenged,
00:54:05.160 and I think
00:54:06.280 the tenure was
00:54:08.720 meant so you
00:54:09.440 could say crazy
00:54:10.660 radical things.
00:54:12.940 Now, those
00:54:13.740 radical things
00:54:14.520 have changed
00:54:15.880 over the years,
00:54:17.340 but you can't
00:54:18.500 say radical things
00:54:19.480 now.
00:54:19.660 You can only
00:54:20.180 say Jesus
00:54:21.900 was a drag
00:54:22.620 king and
00:54:23.860 get away
00:54:24.200 with it.
00:54:24.500 You cannot
00:54:25.000 say, that
00:54:26.680 is post-modernist
00:54:28.460 bullcrap, and
00:54:30.060 here's why.
00:54:31.320 You can't
00:54:32.100 have the
00:54:32.580 other side.
00:54:33.180 You can only
00:54:33.800 challenge one
00:54:35.820 direction, and
00:54:37.020 so if you are
00:54:37.740 unchallenged, how
00:54:39.140 do you get out
00:54:39.660 of that, Bill?
00:54:40.940 Well, the
00:54:41.940 goal of
00:54:42.880 education is
00:54:44.060 to seek
00:54:44.640 knowledge, and
00:54:45.740 in order to
00:54:46.740 seek knowledge,
00:54:47.300 you have to
00:54:47.900 seek the
00:54:48.320 truth, particularly
00:54:49.640 in the liberal
00:54:50.320 arts.
00:54:51.580 I mean, you
00:54:52.080 can't go around
00:54:53.180 saying that
00:54:54.820 Adolf Hitler
00:54:55.640 was a good
00:54:56.760 guy and
00:54:57.820 misunderstood.
00:54:59.420 I mean, you
00:54:59.940 can't be doing
00:55:00.760 these kinds of
00:55:01.600 things and
00:55:02.500 still be
00:55:04.520 operating at a
00:55:05.640 level where
00:55:06.160 you're a teacher
00:55:06.920 or a student
00:55:07.980 on a college
00:55:08.760 campus.
00:55:09.780 All right?
00:55:10.380 So if the
00:55:11.460 goal is that
00:55:13.120 your opinion
00:55:14.480 overrides
00:55:15.680 facts,
00:55:16.580 then you
00:55:17.800 don't have a
00:55:18.400 university
00:55:18.920 anymore.
00:55:19.560 You don't
00:55:19.780 have a
00:55:20.160 college anymore.
00:55:20.820 Because of
00:55:21.980 post-modernism,
00:55:23.380 facts don't
00:55:24.240 exist.
00:55:25.140 Well, then you
00:55:25.680 don't have a
00:55:26.100 college campus.
00:55:26.940 Yes.
00:55:27.540 Then you
00:55:27.860 don't have
00:55:28.280 one.
00:55:28.700 Yes.
00:55:29.140 Okay, so
00:55:29.560 why don't we
00:55:30.400 just say,
00:55:31.220 do away with
00:55:31.700 your grades,
00:55:32.460 do away with
00:55:33.040 your degree,
00:55:34.040 and you can
00:55:34.540 just have a
00:55:35.180 social time
00:55:36.320 for four
00:55:36.760 years.
00:55:37.220 Well, haven't
00:55:37.540 we already
00:55:37.900 said that
00:55:38.320 really?
00:55:39.280 Did you
00:55:40.240 ever hear
00:55:40.540 the academic
00:55:41.560 discipline?
00:55:43.080 Academic
00:55:43.560 discipline
00:55:44.160 means that
00:55:45.820 you deal
00:55:46.940 with
00:55:47.600 reality.
00:55:49.600 Now, there
00:55:50.380 are subjects
00:55:51.060 that are
00:55:51.500 subjective.
00:55:53.440 Okay?
00:55:53.900 We know
00:55:54.300 that.
00:55:54.940 But history
00:55:55.560 is not one
00:55:56.360 of them.
00:55:56.800 Correct.
00:55:57.720 And so you
00:55:58.900 have a
00:55:59.560 situation now
00:56:00.680 where you're
00:56:01.420 absolutely right
00:56:02.400 that this is
00:56:03.900 tolerated on
00:56:04.980 college campuses.
00:56:05.740 No, no, no.
00:56:06.220 This is not
00:56:07.240 tolerated.
00:56:07.720 This is not
00:56:08.300 tolerated.
00:56:08.920 This is
00:56:09.220 encouraged.
00:56:09.860 This is
00:56:10.200 post-modernism.
00:56:11.300 There is no
00:56:12.360 objective reality.
00:56:13.560 There is no
00:56:14.580 objective truth.
00:56:16.180 That's the
00:56:16.720 deal.
00:56:17.660 All right.
00:56:18.240 Well, then that
00:56:18.980 should be in
00:56:19.620 the brochure of
00:56:20.920 the college,
00:56:21.660 that we do
00:56:22.840 not believe in
00:56:24.320 objective reality.
00:56:25.680 So send your
00:56:26.240 student here.
00:56:27.300 Yes, I would
00:56:28.640 agree with you.
00:56:29.440 That should be
00:56:30.380 in the brochure.
00:56:31.780 But, you know,
00:56:33.180 we know that.
00:56:34.520 All right, Bill,
00:56:35.840 I'm going to get
00:56:36.580 to the Laura
00:56:39.200 Ingram hog thing
00:56:41.220 here in just a
00:56:41.940 second, but I
00:56:42.760 want to get
00:56:43.180 your on this
00:56:44.220 particular topic.
00:56:45.360 I want to get
00:56:45.800 your thoughts on
00:56:46.800 on on David
00:56:49.300 hog without going
00:56:51.420 into the Laura
00:56:52.420 Ingram thing,
00:56:52.920 because we're
00:56:53.140 going to get
00:56:53.500 we'll get to
00:56:54.100 that after the
00:56:54.600 break.
00:56:54.820 I've got about
00:56:55.200 90 seconds.
00:56:56.500 Tell me your
00:56:56.860 thought on these
00:56:57.420 students and what
00:56:58.200 the problem is.
00:56:59.680 Well, I think
00:57:00.400 the students, as
00:57:01.140 I've said, are
00:57:02.200 doing a good
00:57:03.400 thing by raising
00:57:04.820 awareness of the
00:57:07.000 debate in America
00:57:08.340 over gun violence.
00:57:09.700 I think that's a
00:57:10.280 good thing, but it
00:57:11.700 is clear to
00:57:12.620 anyone who is
00:57:14.400 covering the
00:57:15.120 story that now
00:57:17.460 the students, many
00:57:18.820 of them anyway,
00:57:19.960 are taking their
00:57:21.140 cues, their
00:57:22.000 information, their
00:57:23.280 analysis and
00:57:24.040 opinions from
00:57:25.300 far-left people.
00:57:27.160 All right,
00:57:28.000 it's the same
00:57:29.220 theme.
00:57:29.800 They're not
00:57:30.240 seeking the
00:57:32.000 truth anymore.
00:57:33.080 They're not
00:57:33.440 seeking information
00:57:34.720 anymore.
00:57:35.840 They're saying,
00:57:37.080 send me something
00:57:38.000 in the morning that
00:57:38.920 I can tell
00:57:39.660 CNN, that I
00:57:40.920 can say on
00:57:41.500 CNN.
00:57:41.880 And so now I
00:57:42.920 want to go to
00:57:43.440 the fascistic
00:57:44.600 side of this
00:57:45.640 argument.
00:57:46.020 And if you
00:57:47.020 disagree, you
00:57:47.820 say anything
00:57:48.840 about this
00:57:50.540 side and
00:57:51.460 they'll shut
00:57:51.900 you down.
00:57:52.820 Next.
00:57:54.480 Glenn,
00:57:55.320 Beck,
00:57:56.180 Mercury.
00:57:56.880 This is the
00:58:08.700 Glenn Beck
00:58:09.120 program with
00:58:10.880 Bill O'Reilly.
00:58:12.480 Want to get
00:58:13.280 into the
00:58:14.660 the boycott
00:58:16.760 now that is
00:58:17.980 being conducted
00:58:18.840 strangely all by
00:58:21.320 his little
00:58:21.820 lonesome.
00:58:22.740 This high school
00:58:23.320 student is now
00:58:24.980 conducting a
00:58:25.640 boycott against
00:58:26.380 loyal Laura
00:58:27.140 Ingram because
00:58:27.820 she had the
00:58:28.840 audacity to
00:58:30.240 say after he
00:58:30.960 started complaining
00:58:31.700 that he wasn't
00:58:32.440 getting into the
00:58:33.080 schools that he
00:58:33.620 wanted with a
00:58:34.160 4.1.
00:58:36.000 She said,
00:58:37.160 stop whining
00:58:37.840 about it.
00:58:38.340 This is not
00:58:39.020 unusual.
00:58:40.520 If the schools
00:58:41.640 that you were
00:58:42.140 applying to,
00:58:44.000 well, he took
00:58:44.820 great offense to
00:58:45.820 that and he's
00:58:47.820 demanded an
00:58:49.060 apology and a
00:58:50.040 boycott.
00:58:50.600 And Laura
00:58:51.900 immediately said,
00:58:52.960 I, I
00:58:53.760 wasn't, you
00:58:55.080 were whining.
00:58:56.160 I'm not
00:58:56.880 calling you
00:58:57.500 names.
00:58:58.020 I'm saying,
00:58:58.820 knock it off,
00:58:59.620 man.
00:59:00.280 And she
00:59:01.000 apologized for it,
00:59:02.140 but that's not
00:59:02.680 good enough.
00:59:03.400 So now there is
00:59:04.580 a boycott and
00:59:05.620 boy, Bill, have
00:59:06.720 we not seen
00:59:07.500 this movie
00:59:08.060 before?
00:59:09.080 And you're
00:59:09.820 going to see
00:59:10.100 it a thousand
00:59:10.640 times again
00:59:11.440 because there's
00:59:12.320 no impediment
00:59:13.840 to it.
00:59:15.440 You know,
00:59:15.860 there's no
00:59:16.580 resistance to
00:59:17.700 it.
00:59:18.240 I see the
00:59:18.800 story a little
00:59:19.260 bit differently
00:59:19.780 than you do.
00:59:21.060 I don't think
00:59:21.720 Laura Ingram
00:59:22.260 should have
00:59:22.660 tweeted about
00:59:23.420 the kid's
00:59:24.580 academic
00:59:25.240 situation.
00:59:27.260 I don't
00:59:27.880 think any
00:59:28.640 commentator
00:59:30.120 or adult
00:59:31.800 should comment
00:59:32.860 at all about
00:59:34.080 any minor's
00:59:36.300 situation in a
00:59:37.820 personal realm.
00:59:38.780 I just don't
00:59:39.360 think that,
00:59:40.680 you know,
00:59:41.100 because the
00:59:41.620 adult has
00:59:42.780 the power
00:59:44.800 and the
00:59:45.560 perspective
00:59:46.480 that the
00:59:47.460 kid doesn't
00:59:48.020 have.
00:59:48.340 Even if the
00:59:48.820 kid was
00:59:49.120 whining,
00:59:49.600 so what?
00:59:50.000 the kid.
00:59:51.880 So,
00:59:52.040 number one,
00:59:52.680 I don't think
00:59:53.160 everyone's stupid
00:59:54.760 and there's no
00:59:55.300 spin.
00:59:55.780 What happened
00:59:56.040 to that thing?
00:59:57.180 But wait a
00:59:58.480 minute.
00:59:59.160 But wait a
00:59:59.660 minute.
01:00:00.500 It is.
01:00:01.340 Look,
01:00:01.960 Bill,
01:00:02.300 wait,
01:00:02.640 wait,
01:00:03.200 wait,
01:00:03.800 wait,
01:00:05.040 wait.
01:00:06.220 You and I
01:00:07.040 both agree
01:00:07.720 when people
01:00:08.460 were saying
01:00:08.960 horrible things
01:00:09.960 about Chelsea
01:00:10.740 Clinton,
01:00:11.360 you know,
01:00:11.600 calling her
01:00:11.980 the cowardly
01:00:12.580 lion and
01:00:13.120 everything else
01:00:13.740 back in the
01:00:14.200 90s.
01:00:14.740 We all thought
01:00:15.700 that was wrong.
01:00:16.860 We said
01:00:18.380 kids are off
01:00:19.320 limits.
01:00:19.960 Don't do
01:00:20.260 it.
01:00:20.560 However,
01:00:21.640 when they
01:00:22.340 inject themselves
01:00:23.840 in and they
01:00:24.960 are being held
01:00:25.720 up by the
01:00:26.340 media as
01:00:27.120 these gods
01:00:28.200 and they
01:00:29.040 have every
01:00:29.740 fact wrong,
01:00:31.820 every fact
01:00:32.760 that I have
01:00:33.240 heard come
01:00:33.620 out of his
01:00:34.080 mouth.
01:00:34.340 Now it's a
01:00:34.760 different issue.
01:00:35.580 You're talking
01:00:36.240 about the
01:00:36.660 issue the
01:00:37.240 kid's presenting
01:00:37.920 and I'm
01:00:38.240 talking about
01:00:38.780 his personal
01:00:39.320 profile.
01:00:40.660 So I
01:00:41.820 don't have
01:00:42.140 any problem
01:00:43.200 with anybody
01:00:45.280 saying,
01:00:46.020 well,
01:00:46.160 we believe
01:00:46.620 David Hogg
01:00:47.180 is misguided
01:00:47.800 because X,
01:00:48.700 Y,
01:00:48.900 and Z.
01:00:49.320 But on
01:00:49.980 his personal
01:00:50.580 portfolio,
01:00:51.580 I don't
01:00:52.160 think that
01:00:52.820 adult should
01:00:53.400 be.
01:00:54.020 Even if
01:00:54.220 he's bringing
01:00:55.660 it up in
01:00:56.300 the public.
01:00:56.920 Even if
01:00:57.340 he's bringing
01:00:57.760 it up.
01:00:58.460 In the
01:00:58.820 public.
01:00:59.720 All right.
01:01:00.100 Okay.
01:01:00.640 Okay.
01:01:01.180 So I
01:01:03.060 wouldn't have
01:01:03.400 done it,
01:01:04.180 but Laura
01:01:05.040 said that she
01:01:05.800 was sorry.
01:01:06.380 She didn't
01:01:06.740 mean to
01:01:07.060 demean the
01:01:07.500 kid.
01:01:08.320 All right.
01:01:09.160 But the
01:01:09.600 big story
01:01:10.320 here is
01:01:11.060 within
01:01:11.500 hours of
01:01:13.980 Laura
01:01:14.340 Engelman
01:01:14.640 tweeting
01:01:15.160 this about
01:01:16.500 the kids
01:01:17.420 college
01:01:18.000 rejections
01:01:19.960 within
01:01:20.400 hours.
01:01:21.700 That kid
01:01:22.220 and his
01:01:23.600 friends had
01:01:24.740 every sponsor
01:01:25.720 on Laura
01:01:27.800 Engram's
01:01:28.320 program
01:01:28.900 listed.
01:01:30.420 They didn't
01:01:31.100 do it.
01:01:32.580 I can bet
01:01:33.600 you a million
01:01:34.140 dollars media
01:01:34.880 matters right
01:01:36.040 there because
01:01:36.740 as we just
01:01:37.980 said,
01:01:38.500 the far
01:01:39.020 left agencies
01:01:39.900 are working
01:01:40.720 with David
01:01:41.220 Hogg and
01:01:41.720 his friends.
01:01:42.780 All right.
01:01:43.220 So they
01:01:43.780 called him
01:01:44.200 up or
01:01:44.660 they texted
01:01:45.500 him and
01:01:45.860 said,
01:01:46.100 hey,
01:01:47.060 here are
01:01:47.540 the sponsors,
01:01:48.280 Dave.
01:01:49.000 Why don't
01:01:49.580 you do
01:01:49.820 this?
01:01:50.700 And Dave
01:01:51.060 said,
01:01:51.260 that's a
01:01:51.560 good idea.
01:01:52.460 I'll call
01:01:52.960 for a
01:01:53.260 boycott.
01:01:54.480 And that's
01:01:55.140 what they
01:01:55.380 did.
01:01:56.060 And then
01:01:56.540 all of a
01:01:56.920 sudden,
01:01:57.420 a sponsor
01:01:57.920 said,
01:01:58.240 yeah,
01:01:58.440 we're not
01:01:58.760 going to
01:01:58.940 advertise
01:01:59.260 anymore because
01:02:00.040 that's what
01:02:00.880 these companies
01:02:01.600 do.
01:02:02.780 That's what
01:02:03.440 they do.
01:02:05.080 All right.
01:02:05.680 So who
01:02:07.040 is the
01:02:09.680 media and
01:02:10.580 the left
01:02:11.020 creating
01:02:11.780 with David
01:02:13.220 Hogg?
01:02:13.680 What is
01:02:14.500 the...
01:02:15.020 No,
01:02:15.060 no,
01:02:15.220 no,
01:02:15.400 but that's
01:02:15.980 not...
01:02:16.300 David Hogg
01:02:16.740 doesn't mean
01:02:17.140 a thing.
01:02:18.080 The big
01:02:18.520 story is
01:02:19.180 freedom of
01:02:20.020 speech is
01:02:20.540 really in
01:02:21.800 trouble.
01:02:23.240 It's in
01:02:23.720 trouble.
01:02:24.180 The far
01:02:24.600 left knows
01:02:25.460 that at
01:02:26.240 any time
01:02:27.260 they can
01:02:27.640 call for
01:02:28.000 a sponsor
01:02:28.380 boycott
01:02:28.900 of anyone
01:02:29.600 they despise.
01:02:31.880 And some
01:02:32.720 of these
01:02:33.040 companies
01:02:33.520 will fold.
01:02:35.340 So you're
01:02:36.260 going to see
01:02:36.840 this over
01:02:37.880 and over
01:02:38.520 and you've
01:02:38.980 already seen
01:02:39.440 it with
01:02:39.660 me,
01:02:40.140 with you,
01:02:40.780 with Imus,
01:02:41.600 with Limbaugh,
01:02:42.660 with Hannity,
01:02:43.400 already seen
01:02:44.220 it.
01:02:45.300 Okay?
01:02:45.920 And now it
01:02:46.760 picks up
01:02:47.200 more speed.
01:02:49.220 And where
01:02:49.940 are the
01:02:50.120 companies
01:02:50.620 defending
01:02:51.620 their people?
01:02:52.600 Where's
01:02:53.080 that?
01:02:54.880 So this
01:02:55.740 is the
01:02:56.120 story.
01:02:56.640 David Hogg
01:02:57.120 is just
01:02:57.640 being used.
01:02:59.320 He's being
01:03:00.060 used.
01:03:00.680 He's now a
01:03:01.080 semi-celebrity.
01:03:02.820 The far
01:03:03.420 left has
01:03:03.820 adopted him,
01:03:05.180 feeding him
01:03:05.900 things that
01:03:06.460 he's putting
01:03:06.940 out there.
01:03:07.620 Everybody
01:03:07.980 knows that.
01:03:10.400 But the
01:03:11.140 corporations
01:03:12.560 of America,
01:03:14.600 I mean,
01:03:15.260 freedom of
01:03:16.780 speech doesn't
01:03:17.400 exist anymore?
01:03:18.460 Is that what
01:03:18.940 you're into?
01:03:19.660 I have to
01:03:20.280 tell you,
01:03:20.920 Bill,
01:03:21.540 I don't
01:03:23.260 accept the
01:03:25.520 idea that
01:03:26.460 just because
01:03:27.200 these are
01:03:27.720 kids or
01:03:28.940 they were
01:03:31.040 in mourning
01:03:31.760 that we
01:03:32.720 have to
01:03:33.320 walk tiptoe
01:03:34.540 around them.
01:03:35.540 I really
01:03:36.060 don't accept
01:03:36.760 that.
01:03:37.260 Hang on
01:03:38.400 just a
01:03:38.740 second.
01:03:39.020 Wait a
01:03:39.680 minute.
01:03:40.540 Wait a
01:03:40.980 minute.
01:03:42.200 They have
01:03:43.520 engaged.
01:03:44.180 David Hogg
01:03:44.800 has called
01:03:45.480 Dana Lash
01:03:46.320 some of
01:03:47.020 the worst
01:03:47.700 names
01:03:48.380 imaginable.
01:03:49.940 She has
01:03:50.440 said that
01:03:51.260 Marco Rubio
01:03:52.400 is splattered
01:03:53.560 in blood.
01:03:55.200 He's made
01:03:56.780 all kinds of
01:03:57.820 accusations
01:03:58.360 and name
01:04:00.080 called.
01:04:00.780 And I'm
01:04:01.440 not going
01:04:02.260 to name
01:04:02.780 call back.
01:04:03.660 I don't
01:04:03.920 want to
01:04:04.380 name call
01:04:04.820 back.
01:04:05.780 But if
01:04:06.620 you know,
01:04:08.060 it's one
01:04:08.940 thing to
01:04:09.460 say.
01:04:09.960 Let me
01:04:10.260 play Michael
01:04:10.960 Rappaport
01:04:11.480 here.
01:04:12.020 There's one
01:04:12.500 thing to
01:04:12.880 say that
01:04:13.720 you know,
01:04:15.240 how dare
01:04:15.620 you say
01:04:16.060 that about
01:04:16.740 this kid?
01:04:17.620 He's a
01:04:17.900 kid.
01:04:18.280 Leave me
01:04:18.480 alone.
01:04:18.940 OK, but
01:04:20.320 listen how
01:04:20.980 the left
01:04:21.480 is responding.
01:04:23.100 Play Michael
01:04:23.460 Rappaport.
01:04:24.260 Laura
01:04:24.440 Ingram,
01:04:25.500 the Fox
01:04:26.080 News reporter,
01:04:27.720 you filthy
01:04:28.180 pig,
01:04:29.400 you dog
01:04:29.800 faced animal.
01:04:30.640 Remember
01:04:30.880 Laura
01:04:31.260 Ingram?
01:04:32.260 Just a
01:04:32.860 year ago
01:04:33.480 at the
01:04:34.140 Republican
01:04:34.620 National
01:04:35.160 Convention
01:04:35.700 throwing up
01:04:36.600 the Nazi
01:04:37.060 salute.
01:04:37.460 Look at
01:04:37.660 this.
01:04:37.900 Check this
01:04:38.260 out.
01:04:38.700 Look,
01:04:38.960 look at
01:04:39.380 the Aryan
01:04:39.860 pinup
01:04:40.200 girl.
01:04:41.080 This is
01:04:41.380 the same
01:04:41.820 Laura
01:04:42.120 Ingram who
01:04:42.820 just a
01:04:43.400 few weeks
01:04:43.820 ago said
01:04:44.500 that LeBron
01:04:45.080 James and
01:04:45.880 Kevin Durant
01:04:46.660 and these
01:04:47.280 athletes should
01:04:48.240 just shut
01:04:48.700 up and
01:04:49.000 dribble.
01:04:49.340 And then I
01:04:49.740 said,
01:04:50.300 infamously,
01:04:51.040 that you
01:04:51.440 should shut
01:04:51.920 up and
01:04:52.480 dribble
01:04:53.160 the
01:04:53.300 ****.
01:04:53.660 Remember
01:04:53.940 her?
01:04:54.860 And now
01:04:55.340 Laura
01:04:55.700 Ingram,
01:04:56.600 this savage,
01:04:57.720 this dog,
01:04:58.800 this mutt,
01:04:59.600 and this has
01:05:00.140 nothing to do
01:05:00.920 with her
01:05:01.260 looks.
01:05:02.040 It has to
01:05:02.380 do with
01:05:02.620 her behavior.
01:05:03.760 The things
01:05:03.940 that she
01:05:04.420 exudes.
01:05:05.240 Bill,
01:05:06.060 I do not
01:05:07.840 want to
01:05:08.260 respond in
01:05:09.220 kind.
01:05:09.880 He's a
01:05:10.160 stupid,
01:05:11.100 he's a
01:05:11.560 stupid.
01:05:11.620 Where are
01:05:12.060 the feminist
01:05:12.480 organizations?
01:05:13.160 Exactly
01:05:13.720 right.
01:05:14.400 Exactly
01:05:14.980 right.
01:05:16.020 Where are
01:05:16.600 they?
01:05:16.880 Exactly
01:05:17.380 right.
01:05:17.920 Yeah.
01:05:18.420 Okay, so
01:05:19.040 we all know
01:05:19.960 what's
01:05:20.960 happening.
01:05:21.380 What's
01:05:21.600 happening is
01:05:22.300 the far
01:05:22.880 left with
01:05:23.720 the media
01:05:24.440 approval and
01:05:25.940 with their
01:05:26.300 encouragement
01:05:26.880 and their
01:05:27.720 enabling have
01:05:28.960 now said
01:05:29.780 we can
01:05:30.940 stop speech
01:05:32.680 that we
01:05:33.880 disagree with.
01:05:34.860 We can
01:05:35.280 stop it.
01:05:36.720 We can
01:05:37.280 kill it.
01:05:38.500 And we
01:05:39.240 can do it
01:05:40.000 through
01:05:40.840 boycotts.
01:05:42.120 look, this
01:05:43.300 guy that
01:05:43.700 you just
01:05:44.020 played,
01:05:44.480 nobody cares
01:05:45.060 what he
01:05:45.440 says.
01:05:45.980 He's a
01:05:46.800 dope.
01:05:47.760 But the
01:05:47.920 boycotts,
01:05:49.240 the boycotts,
01:05:50.920 that's ultra
01:05:52.540 serious.
01:05:54.520 I actually,
01:05:55.460 I will tell
01:05:55.900 you this,
01:05:56.260 I don't think
01:05:56.800 a lot of
01:05:57.260 people even
01:05:57.920 know who
01:05:58.320 Michael
01:05:58.560 Rappaport
01:05:59.020 is.
01:05:59.480 I was
01:06:01.100 struggling
01:06:01.580 to put
01:06:02.080 his face
01:06:02.560 right.
01:06:03.320 Right.
01:06:04.160 So, you
01:06:05.140 know, I
01:06:05.640 get that.
01:06:07.120 However,
01:06:08.200 language and
01:06:09.300 what we're
01:06:09.720 saying on
01:06:10.860 Twitter and
01:06:12.100 Facebook and
01:06:13.500 in blogs,
01:06:14.120 it does
01:06:14.840 matter.
01:06:15.300 When we're
01:06:15.760 starting to
01:06:16.240 call people
01:06:16.920 vermin,
01:06:17.940 that does
01:06:18.540 matter.
01:06:18.960 History shows
01:06:19.660 us when you
01:06:20.300 dehumanize
01:06:21.060 people, it
01:06:21.720 does matter.
01:06:23.200 Well, I'm
01:06:23.440 sure that the
01:06:23.920 feminist
01:06:24.220 organizations are
01:06:25.480 going to be
01:06:25.840 all over Mr.
01:06:26.800 Rappaport.
01:06:27.360 I'm sure that
01:06:28.160 next Friday
01:06:29.100 when we speak,
01:06:29.880 we'll all look
01:06:30.640 at the feminist
01:06:31.160 organizations rising
01:06:32.360 up and telling
01:06:33.480 him those
01:06:34.520 comments are
01:06:35.060 inappropriate.
01:06:35.840 Yesterday,
01:06:36.540 there was a
01:06:36.980 great struggle
01:06:38.840 on Twitter
01:06:39.660 demanding
01:06:40.900 facts and
01:06:42.320 sources.
01:06:43.680 And so, I
01:06:44.140 had to share
01:06:45.220 with them
01:06:45.820 NBC News.
01:06:48.560 And yet, still
01:06:49.860 people didn't
01:06:50.760 believe that
01:06:51.780 the Pulse
01:06:52.440 nightclub
01:06:52.980 shooting, the
01:06:54.100 first target
01:06:56.020 was Disney.
01:06:57.420 He was
01:06:57.840 turned around
01:06:58.680 by police
01:07:00.300 officers being
01:07:01.320 there.
01:07:01.660 They have him
01:07:02.320 on tape
01:07:02.940 scouting it
01:07:04.040 and then coming
01:07:04.960 back later
01:07:05.660 with a gun,
01:07:06.380 putting guns
01:07:07.060 into the
01:07:07.860 baby carriage
01:07:08.640 and then
01:07:09.460 seeing this
01:07:10.380 enormous amount
01:07:11.260 of people
01:07:11.800 with guns
01:07:12.460 and turning
01:07:13.300 around, then
01:07:14.240 just googling
01:07:15.040 that his
01:07:15.680 target was
01:07:16.520 not the
01:07:17.540 gay club.
01:07:18.700 That was
01:07:19.000 his third
01:07:19.840 choice.
01:07:20.720 And he
01:07:21.380 never googled
01:07:22.280 gay club.
01:07:23.140 He just
01:07:23.580 googled
01:07:24.160 nightclub
01:07:25.460 in downtown
01:07:26.380 Orlando.
01:07:27.540 People don't
01:07:28.800 believe that
01:07:29.900 that was
01:07:30.500 even true
01:07:32.080 half of the
01:07:33.500 country because
01:07:34.520 no one
01:07:35.520 reported on
01:07:36.860 it.
01:07:37.740 How do
01:07:38.100 we come
01:07:39.500 together,
01:07:40.160 Bill, if
01:07:41.100 half of the
01:07:42.640 country is
01:07:43.880 getting different
01:07:44.940 news?
01:07:46.840 No, we
01:07:47.640 don't.
01:07:48.560 I mean, it's
01:07:49.560 not going to
01:07:49.980 happen.
01:07:50.800 Maybe some
01:07:52.460 kind of leader
01:07:53.480 will emerge.
01:07:55.160 Maybe.
01:07:56.020 It's happened
01:07:56.680 before in our
01:07:57.340 history.
01:07:58.060 Who can be
01:07:59.400 so powerful
01:08:00.200 in the
01:08:01.680 White House
01:08:02.420 that they
01:08:04.480 can sweep
01:08:05.440 aside the
01:08:06.580 hatred that
01:08:07.380 has taken
01:08:07.740 hold?
01:08:08.480 Possible.
01:08:10.060 Probable?
01:08:10.920 No.
01:08:11.900 So you've
01:08:12.220 got two
01:08:12.520 countries now.
01:08:13.740 And the
01:08:14.520 two countries
01:08:15.020 fight it
01:08:15.520 out.
01:08:16.520 And there
01:08:17.680 are no
01:08:18.060 rules.
01:08:19.400 It's smear,
01:08:20.760 smear,
01:08:21.200 smear,
01:08:21.620 attack,
01:08:22.020 attack,
01:08:22.340 attack,
01:08:22.700 destroy,
01:08:23.080 destroy,
01:08:23.460 destroy.
01:08:24.300 And that's
01:08:25.060 where we
01:08:25.340 are.
01:08:26.240 Can you leave
01:08:27.080 me with
01:08:27.360 something
01:08:27.640 happy?
01:08:28.800 Happy,
01:08:29.480 Beck?
01:08:30.300 Not selling
01:08:31.260 anything.
01:08:31.860 Not selling
01:08:32.360 anything.
01:08:32.980 Well, it's
01:08:34.140 hard for me
01:08:34.780 because I'm
01:08:35.660 happy in
01:08:37.080 the area of
01:08:37.820 commerce.
01:08:41.240 Easter and
01:08:42.040 Passover
01:08:42.320 weekends are
01:08:43.280 different than
01:08:45.540 all the other
01:08:46.480 holidays because
01:08:47.320 there really
01:08:47.740 isn't
01:08:48.060 commercialism
01:08:48.900 involved in
01:08:49.600 them.
01:08:49.800 And there's
01:08:50.020 not a lot
01:08:50.380 of pressure
01:08:50.840 of gifts
01:08:51.520 and expectations.
01:08:53.560 And so I
01:08:54.720 think everybody
01:08:55.240 should really,
01:08:55.960 you know,
01:08:56.380 turn off the
01:08:57.060 TV and
01:08:57.860 you know,
01:08:59.280 I want them
01:08:59.900 to go to
01:09:00.240 Bill O'Reilly.com
01:09:01.100 of course,
01:09:01.580 but other than
01:09:02.060 that,
01:09:02.540 just have a
01:09:03.700 nice spring
01:09:05.140 weekend.
01:09:06.900 And my tip
01:09:07.980 of the day
01:09:08.360 yesterday on
01:09:09.920 my Twitter
01:09:10.500 at Bill O'Reilly
01:09:11.460 was,
01:09:12.100 if you know
01:09:12.460 somebody who's
01:09:13.140 alone,
01:09:13.620 lives alone,
01:09:14.880 invite them
01:09:15.400 over for
01:09:15.840 Easter dinner
01:09:16.340 or Passover
01:09:16.840 dinner.
01:09:17.760 Even if they
01:09:18.280 don't come,
01:09:18.860 that's okay,
01:09:20.140 but just invite
01:09:20.900 them.
01:09:22.280 And I
01:09:23.040 think that
01:09:23.540 if we all
01:09:24.240 start thinking
01:09:24.800 about that,
01:09:25.640 people in our
01:09:26.140 neighborhoods and
01:09:28.240 you do that,
01:09:29.060 how easy is
01:09:29.720 that?
01:09:30.260 Just do it.
01:09:31.800 Even if you
01:09:32.240 don't particularly
01:09:32.700 like them that
01:09:33.700 much,
01:09:34.380 you know,
01:09:34.920 so I want
01:09:35.680 everybody to have
01:09:36.120 a nice relaxed
01:09:36.740 weekend,
01:09:37.220 including you,
01:09:37.940 Beck.
01:09:38.160 I want you to
01:09:38.640 be relaxed,
01:09:39.440 you know,
01:09:39.740 get away from
01:09:40.260 Stu and that
01:09:41.560 kind of pressure
01:09:42.260 and just,
01:09:43.480 you know,
01:09:44.200 and then Stu
01:09:44.840 you too,
01:09:45.400 get away from
01:09:45.900 Beck.
01:09:46.480 Let me do,
01:09:47.100 let me do,
01:09:47.980 let me do
01:09:48.580 media matters
01:09:49.540 work for
01:09:50.120 them.
01:09:50.840 Bill O'Reilly
01:09:51.660 says,
01:09:52.400 invite lonely
01:09:53.620 people over
01:09:54.280 for dinner.
01:09:55.100 Bill O'Reilly
01:09:55.940 headline,
01:09:56.720 Bill O'Reilly
01:09:57.360 encourages
01:09:58.100 cannibalism.
01:10:00.900 It's all
01:10:01.520 written for you.
01:10:02.420 All written for
01:10:03.140 you.
01:10:03.820 Hey,
01:10:04.300 have a great
01:10:04.760 Easter and
01:10:05.300 good fun.
01:10:05.860 Have a nice
01:10:06.060 weekend and
01:10:06.860 appreciate,
01:10:08.000 of course,
01:10:08.320 being on every
01:10:08.840 week.
01:10:09.060 It's a lot of
01:10:09.360 fun.
01:10:09.640 You got it.
01:10:09.980 We'll see you
01:10:10.320 next week.
01:10:11.440 Bill O'Reilly
01:10:11.980 appears every
01:10:12.960 Friday on this
01:10:14.000 program to
01:10:14.960 recap the news
01:10:16.720 and give us
01:10:17.520 his non-spin.
01:10:23.120 All right,
01:10:23.960 spring is
01:10:25.120 here.
01:10:26.780 Man,
01:10:27.320 can you believe
01:10:27.640 it's Easter
01:10:28.140 already?
01:10:28.980 Spring is here
01:10:29.640 already.
01:10:32.440 Now is the
01:10:33.280 time that you
01:10:34.000 sell your
01:10:34.800 home.
01:10:35.180 Now is the
01:10:35.700 time where
01:10:36.360 people are
01:10:37.140 starting to
01:10:37.760 sell their
01:10:38.320 home.
01:10:38.680 They're starting
01:10:39.000 to come out
01:10:39.580 from the
01:10:40.060 snow.
01:10:40.580 They're
01:10:40.720 starting to
01:10:41.180 think school
01:10:42.040 is about to
01:10:42.640 be over.
01:10:43.840 We've got to
01:10:44.260 make a move.
01:10:45.020 Whatever.
01:10:45.480 If you need
01:10:46.180 to sell your
01:10:46.800 home, go with
01:10:48.280 realestateagentsitrust.com.
01:10:52.240 Realestateagentsitrust.com.
01:10:53.320 They're going to
01:10:53.620 sell your home
01:10:54.280 fast for the
01:10:55.800 most amount of
01:10:56.800 money.
01:10:57.500 They're just like
01:10:58.180 you.
01:10:58.820 Their word is
01:10:59.720 their bond.
01:11:00.540 And they're fans
01:11:01.340 of the show.
01:11:01.900 They share your
01:11:02.560 sensibilities.
01:11:03.300 There's over a
01:11:04.120 thousand of them
01:11:04.880 that have been
01:11:05.540 fully vetted and
01:11:06.540 handpicked for
01:11:07.960 their knowledge,
01:11:08.760 their skill,
01:11:09.320 and their
01:11:10.040 track record.
01:11:11.200 Thousands of
01:11:11.720 families have
01:11:12.280 already put
01:11:13.060 realestateagentsitrust.com
01:11:14.640 to the test.
01:11:15.580 The results are
01:11:16.340 remarkable.
01:11:17.080 People sell
01:11:18.040 their house
01:11:18.540 quickly.
01:11:19.180 They sell it
01:11:19.700 on time.
01:11:20.360 They find a
01:11:21.080 new house in
01:11:21.800 an area they're
01:11:22.380 not familiar
01:11:22.960 with.
01:11:23.420 Maybe they
01:11:24.940 have sold
01:11:26.600 family members'
01:11:28.280 houses that
01:11:28.880 maybe they were
01:11:29.380 taking care of
01:11:29.960 mom and dad
01:11:30.560 and mom and
01:11:31.620 dad had to
01:11:32.180 move in with
01:11:32.800 them or
01:11:33.200 unfortunately
01:11:33.960 pass away and
01:11:35.120 they were living
01:11:36.360 across the
01:11:36.920 country.
01:11:37.260 these are the
01:11:38.420 people that
01:11:39.240 really they
01:11:39.960 become friends.
01:11:42.540 realestateagentsitrust.com
01:11:43.800 They will help you
01:11:44.700 through one of the
01:11:45.480 most traumatic
01:11:46.200 things you can do
01:11:47.020 and that is move.
01:11:49.480 realestateagentsitrust.com
01:11:51.080 Glenn Beck
01:11:54.060 Mercury
01:11:54.960 Glenn Beck
01:12:03.340 So glad that you're
01:12:05.520 here.
01:12:05.800 Thank you so much.
01:12:08.060 What do you have
01:12:08.640 planned for this
01:12:09.160 weekend, Stu?
01:12:12.220 Heathen.
01:12:12.660 This is the
01:12:16.100 weekend, by the
01:12:18.000 way, that my
01:12:18.500 second eldest
01:12:20.160 daughter, Hannah,
01:12:21.780 I think became
01:12:23.200 a vegetarian.
01:12:25.640 Really?
01:12:26.040 She wanted to
01:12:26.720 become a
01:12:27.120 vegetarian.
01:12:27.540 She's never been
01:12:27.980 able to do it
01:12:28.560 because she likes
01:12:28.960 meat too much,
01:12:29.620 but she hates
01:12:30.420 the idea of
01:12:31.280 it.
01:12:32.360 And it's
01:12:32.920 because on
01:12:34.880 Easter Sunday,
01:12:38.160 I was cooking
01:12:39.560 and I was
01:12:40.260 making leg of
01:12:40.940 lamb.
01:12:41.200 and so I
01:12:43.980 had her, I
01:12:44.820 had her come
01:12:45.360 in and she
01:12:47.480 said, what are
01:12:49.260 you making,
01:12:49.860 dad?
01:12:50.160 And I said,
01:12:50.600 come on, help
01:12:51.060 me make it.
01:12:51.640 So we put it
01:12:52.300 out and
01:12:52.840 we're seasoning
01:12:53.800 it and stuff
01:12:54.520 and she said,
01:12:55.320 what is this?
01:12:56.020 And I said,
01:12:56.400 leg of lamb.
01:12:57.460 And she
01:12:58.020 stopped and
01:12:59.940 she said,
01:13:01.060 so,
01:13:02.840 wait,
01:13:06.540 so somewhere
01:13:08.620 on a farm
01:13:10.820 there's a
01:13:12.440 lamb with
01:13:12.960 only three
01:13:13.560 legs?
01:13:14.200 And I
01:13:14.480 said,
01:13:15.480 absolutely.
01:13:17.560 That's what
01:13:18.020 happened.
01:13:18.440 Absolutely.
01:13:19.060 You don't need
01:13:19.440 a lamb like
01:13:20.040 this all at
01:13:20.480 once.
01:13:20.920 Don't ask
01:13:21.860 again.
01:13:22.380 Don't follow
01:13:23.340 up.
01:13:23.900 And she
01:13:25.380 didn't, but I
01:13:25.980 could see the
01:13:26.760 wheels turning.
01:13:28.460 And then at
01:13:29.480 dinner, she,
01:13:31.020 or when I
01:13:31.600 pulled it out
01:13:32.220 and I started
01:13:32.640 to slice it,
01:13:33.380 she said,
01:13:34.200 dad, what's
01:13:35.540 all that
01:13:36.160 juice?
01:13:38.200 And the
01:13:38.780 red juice.
01:13:39.640 And I
01:13:40.220 said,
01:13:40.800 that's
01:13:42.040 blood.
01:13:43.600 And that's
01:13:44.480 when she,
01:13:45.140 that's when
01:13:45.880 she was
01:13:46.180 like,
01:13:47.140 okay, I'm
01:13:50.000 going to go
01:13:50.360 cry now for
01:13:51.300 a while.
01:13:53.440 The lamb is
01:13:54.540 one of those
01:13:54.940 that crosses
01:13:55.520 the line into
01:13:56.840 toys too.
01:13:58.180 Like, like the
01:13:58.600 kids have a
01:13:58.980 little, lots of
01:13:59.560 stuffed animals.
01:14:00.080 There's not a
01:14:00.360 lot of cow
01:14:01.100 stuffed animals,
01:14:01.980 right?
01:14:02.180 Oh, and you
01:14:02.720 count sheep and
01:14:03.780 sheep are cute
01:14:04.580 and they're
01:14:04.840 cuddly.
01:14:05.540 Yeah, I
01:14:05.780 guess.
01:14:06.140 Although, poor
01:14:07.800 Peppa Pig is,
01:14:08.620 I think, ruined
01:14:09.060 probably bacon
01:14:10.640 for a lot of
01:14:11.180 kids.
01:14:12.780 Probably.
01:14:13.820 Because that's a
01:14:14.400 very popular
01:14:15.160 cartoon for
01:14:16.480 the young set.
01:14:16.700 Well, but when
01:14:17.140 she, the great
01:14:18.000 thing is, kids,
01:14:18.960 when Peppa Pig
01:14:19.760 loses her
01:14:21.160 popularity, we
01:14:22.180 eat her.
01:14:23.000 So she serves
01:14:23.980 us in two
01:14:24.720 ways.
01:14:25.800 Entertainment,
01:14:26.600 education, and
01:14:27.860 food.
01:14:28.960 Probably not a
01:14:29.740 winning argument
01:14:30.300 with a six-year-old.
01:14:31.680 Well, but this
01:14:32.880 is coming from
01:14:33.500 the guy who
01:14:34.180 said, that's
01:14:34.820 blood.
01:14:35.940 Yeah, that's a
01:14:36.340 terrible answer.
01:14:37.040 I was going to
01:14:37.380 criticize you.
01:14:38.160 Well, what are you
01:14:39.020 going to say?
01:14:40.480 What you do there
01:14:40.780 is you lie.
01:14:44.120 You lie.
01:14:45.800 Yeah.
01:14:46.560 No.
01:14:47.400 Lots of, wow,
01:14:48.460 thirsty.
01:14:48.980 Lots of Kool-Aid.
01:14:49.840 Right before we
01:14:50.480 took the leg.
01:14:50.740 I like to tell
01:14:51.300 the truth.
01:14:52.100 Daddy only is
01:14:52.920 drinking because
01:14:53.800 you cry.
01:14:54.600 Glenn Beck,
01:15:05.140 Mercury.
01:15:11.720 Love, courage,
01:15:13.640 truth.
01:15:16.420 Glenn Beck.
01:15:17.980 There is scientific
01:15:21.380 truth, and then
01:15:23.580 there is the
01:15:24.060 truth that you
01:15:24.960 want, and the
01:15:27.040 truth of who
01:15:28.240 you are, but it
01:15:30.880 is different than
01:15:32.460 scientific truth, and
01:15:34.280 we need to embrace
01:15:35.880 that and know the
01:15:37.040 difference between
01:15:38.120 that, and do it
01:15:39.520 without any kind of
01:15:40.920 hatred or judgment
01:15:43.920 toward one another.
01:15:45.060 Stacey Ray was
01:15:48.260 born a man.
01:15:49.140 It's right there on
01:15:49.720 the birth certificate,
01:15:50.500 but Stacey Ray,
01:15:51.500 alongside with
01:15:52.220 Jane Doe, Ashley
01:15:54.600 Brenda, Basil
01:15:56.160 Argentino, insist
01:15:58.220 that the birth
01:15:58.920 certificate is wrong,
01:16:00.480 and with the ACLU,
01:16:02.040 they have sued the
01:16:02.600 state of Ohio for
01:16:03.500 refusing to change
01:16:04.420 their birth certificate
01:16:05.220 to reflect their
01:16:06.580 updated gender.
01:16:08.800 Now, Susan
01:16:09.220 Becker, she's
01:16:09.980 general counsel for
01:16:10.780 the Ohio branch of
01:16:11.580 the ACLU, rebuked
01:16:12.780 the state's decision,
01:16:13.800 she said, a birth
01:16:14.580 certificate proposed
01:16:15.360 to tell the world
01:16:16.400 about who we are.
01:16:18.220 Ohio's birth
01:16:18.880 certificate policy,
01:16:19.820 however, refuses to
01:16:20.860 provide transgendered
01:16:22.040 individuals and only
01:16:23.340 transgendered individuals
01:16:25.040 with a birth certificate
01:16:26.000 that accurately conveys
01:16:27.760 their gender identity.
01:16:31.740 Now, there is an X
01:16:33.120 and a Y chromosome,
01:16:34.420 and those things
01:16:35.320 never change.
01:16:37.380 Your personal
01:16:39.060 gender identity
01:16:40.180 may change,
01:16:41.300 but that does not
01:16:42.620 change the sex
01:16:44.360 or who you were
01:16:46.120 when you were
01:16:46.860 born.
01:16:48.720 Aaron Baer,
01:16:49.720 who serves as
01:16:50.740 the president of
01:16:51.620 Citizens for
01:16:52.260 Community Values,
01:16:53.700 accused the ACLU
01:16:54.760 of wasting taxpayer
01:16:55.700 money.
01:16:56.420 In a statement,
01:16:57.000 he said,
01:16:57.440 with this lawsuit,
01:16:58.200 the ACLU is
01:16:59.020 sacrificing medical
01:17:00.320 accuracy for
01:17:01.480 political ideology
01:17:02.680 by attempting to
01:17:04.020 force the state
01:17:04.760 to falsely,
01:17:06.040 to falsify
01:17:07.480 official records.
01:17:08.560 A birth certificate
01:17:09.720 that does not
01:17:10.660 accurately reflect
01:17:11.740 the biological
01:17:12.480 reality of an
01:17:13.760 individual becomes
01:17:14.820 a meaningless,
01:17:15.940 if not harmful,
01:17:17.400 document.
01:17:18.480 Make no mistake,
01:17:19.460 this lawsuit isn't
01:17:20.320 about whether
01:17:20.840 Ohioans can be
01:17:21.760 supportive of people
01:17:22.740 with gender dysphoria.
01:17:24.180 It's about
01:17:24.860 politics,
01:17:26.600 and whether
01:17:27.040 politics
01:17:27.860 beats
01:17:30.140 biology.
01:17:34.240 Fix reason
01:17:35.520 firmly in her seat
01:17:36.760 and question
01:17:37.460 with boldness.
01:17:38.560 Even the very
01:17:39.500 existence of God,
01:17:40.700 for if there be
01:17:41.480 a God,
01:17:42.440 he must surely
01:17:43.120 rather honest
01:17:44.220 questioning
01:17:44.820 over blindfolded
01:17:46.400 fear.
01:17:48.700 Alongside
01:17:49.380 Kansas,
01:17:50.300 Tennessee,
01:17:51.060 and Ohio,
01:17:52.120 they are
01:17:52.580 among the few
01:17:53.560 states that
01:17:54.340 still prohibit
01:17:55.500 identity changes
01:17:56.520 on birth certificates.
01:17:58.180 Earlier this month,
01:17:59.100 a judge ruled
01:17:59.800 that a similar
01:18:00.480 policy in Idaho
01:18:01.600 was unconstitutional,
01:18:03.440 a violation
01:18:04.000 of people's rights,
01:18:05.880 specifically,
01:18:06.820 the God-given
01:18:07.480 right to identify
01:18:08.540 as a man
01:18:09.480 or a woman,
01:18:10.640 regardless of
01:18:11.880 biology.
01:18:20.920 It's Friday,
01:18:22.180 March 30th.
01:18:23.600 This is the
01:18:24.380 Glenn Beck Program.
01:18:25.200 I don't know
01:18:25.920 why we can't
01:18:26.700 have, you know,
01:18:28.680 biological sex,
01:18:30.140 scientific sex,
01:18:31.620 male, female,
01:18:33.160 gender identity.
01:18:34.880 Why can't you
01:18:35.440 just add that box?
01:18:36.980 I mean,
01:18:37.260 why do we have to,
01:18:37.940 why must we
01:18:39.080 reject science
01:18:40.340 to embrace
01:18:42.020 gender identity?
01:18:43.140 Why does it have
01:18:43.780 to be either or?
01:18:44.980 Science says one
01:18:45.880 thing,
01:18:46.560 gender identity,
01:18:47.580 you can say
01:18:48.140 another.
01:18:48.760 Fine.
01:18:49.120 But we must
01:18:50.640 not go
01:18:52.060 into a place
01:18:52.660 to where
01:18:52.920 we're rejecting
01:18:53.440 science.
01:18:54.940 All right.
01:18:56.240 We have been
01:18:57.180 talking about
01:18:58.100 Russia.
01:18:58.760 Russia yesterday
01:18:59.880 expelled 60
01:19:01.760 diplomats,
01:19:02.400 because we
01:19:02.820 expelled 60
01:19:03.680 diplomats.
01:19:05.060 And Ian
01:19:06.080 Bremmer is a
01:19:06.960 political scientist,
01:19:07.860 and he wrote
01:19:10.480 an article for
01:19:11.120 Time magazine.
01:19:12.840 Despite
01:19:13.460 apparent
01:19:14.060 bromance,
01:19:15.340 Trump has
01:19:16.200 been tough
01:19:16.900 on Russia.
01:19:18.400 And Ian
01:19:18.980 is here
01:19:19.520 to talk
01:19:20.240 to us
01:19:20.620 about
01:19:21.180 what's
01:19:22.760 currently
01:19:23.100 going on
01:19:23.600 with Russia
01:19:24.140 and our
01:19:24.700 stance
01:19:25.080 and possibly
01:19:26.400 what it
01:19:26.780 might mean.
01:19:27.720 Ian,
01:19:27.980 welcome to
01:19:28.280 the program.
01:19:28.780 How are
01:19:28.980 you?
01:19:29.560 Hi, Glenn.
01:19:30.240 Good to be
01:19:30.460 with you.
01:19:32.220 First of all,
01:19:32.960 I think this
01:19:33.360 is an
01:19:33.800 interesting
01:19:34.620 take from
01:19:36.360 you,
01:19:36.900 because most
01:19:37.860 that would
01:19:38.180 write for
01:19:38.580 Time magazine,
01:19:39.240 I would say,
01:19:40.180 say that
01:19:40.800 Donald Trump
01:19:41.380 has been
01:19:41.900 soft on
01:19:42.960 Russia,
01:19:44.480 and I think
01:19:44.920 he started
01:19:45.460 out that
01:19:45.920 way,
01:19:46.540 but he
01:19:47.320 has
01:19:47.820 done some
01:19:48.960 really hard
01:19:49.540 things that
01:19:49.940 I don't think
01:19:50.340 anybody's done
01:19:50.900 really since
01:19:51.440 the Cold War.
01:19:53.240 I mean,
01:19:53.900 certainly there
01:19:54.560 are people
01:19:54.880 out there
01:19:55.300 that still
01:19:55.740 believe the
01:19:56.260 United States
01:19:56.940 should be
01:19:57.380 much harder
01:19:57.940 in its
01:19:58.700 response,
01:19:59.260 and that
01:19:59.700 was true
01:20:00.180 under Obama,
01:20:01.460 and that's
01:20:01.980 true under
01:20:02.520 Trump.
01:20:02.980 I mean,
01:20:03.140 it's a
01:20:03.420 country that
01:20:03.880 we know
01:20:04.240 was involved
01:20:05.120 in undermining
01:20:06.320 the legitimacy
01:20:06.980 of our
01:20:07.840 electoral process,
01:20:08.640 and we also
01:20:09.400 know that
01:20:09.920 they've been
01:20:10.300 engaging in
01:20:10.980 major cyber
01:20:11.600 attacks against
01:20:12.580 all sorts of
01:20:13.380 critical
01:20:13.740 infrastructure.
01:20:14.400 But there's
01:20:15.680 no question
01:20:16.460 that steps
01:20:18.140 that have
01:20:18.500 been taken
01:20:18.960 by the
01:20:19.740 Trump
01:20:19.920 administration,
01:20:20.620 which Trump
01:20:21.100 has personally
01:20:22.060 approved,
01:20:23.320 both in
01:20:24.400 terms of
01:20:25.300 individual
01:20:25.760 sanctions,
01:20:26.860 in terms of
01:20:27.880 supporting
01:20:28.380 arming
01:20:29.060 Ukraine,
01:20:30.860 something Obama
01:20:31.600 did not want
01:20:32.260 to do,
01:20:32.980 and also
01:20:33.720 most recently
01:20:34.580 the closing
01:20:35.240 of the
01:20:35.700 Seattle
01:20:36.040 consulate
01:20:36.740 and the
01:20:37.700 removal of
01:20:38.340 these 60
01:20:39.080 Russian
01:20:39.600 diplomats
01:20:40.500 slash spies,
01:20:41.280 frankly,
01:20:42.980 those are
01:20:43.300 some of
01:20:43.640 the toughest
01:20:44.000 steps that
01:20:44.500 have been
01:20:44.680 taken by
01:20:45.060 the U.S.,
01:20:45.420 certainly since
01:20:46.080 the Cold
01:20:46.660 War,
01:20:47.220 and Trump
01:20:47.900 did not
01:20:48.420 need to
01:20:49.060 take them.
01:20:49.640 If he wanted
01:20:50.760 to maintain
01:20:51.740 a bromance
01:20:52.680 with Putin,
01:20:53.780 he clearly
01:20:54.560 could have
01:20:55.020 said no.
01:20:56.840 These are
01:20:57.680 substantial.
01:20:59.380 However,
01:20:59.900 I mean,
01:21:00.260 I'd hate to
01:21:00.880 be the
01:21:01.100 President of
01:21:01.500 the United
01:21:01.660 States today
01:21:02.360 because I
01:21:03.680 think Putin
01:21:04.360 is a very
01:21:06.820 good chess
01:21:07.340 player and
01:21:08.560 is somebody
01:21:09.360 who says
01:21:10.100 they're only
01:21:10.940 going to go
01:21:11.260 so far
01:21:11.680 because nobody
01:21:12.300 wants war
01:21:13.000 with Russia,
01:21:14.260 and I
01:21:15.520 don't know
01:21:15.960 what you
01:21:16.740 should do.
01:21:17.800 I mean,
01:21:18.080 it is so
01:21:18.840 clear that
01:21:19.560 they are
01:21:20.060 trying to
01:21:20.760 dismantle us
01:21:21.760 and the
01:21:22.220 entire West
01:21:22.940 from the
01:21:23.480 inside,
01:21:24.620 and they're
01:21:25.220 playing,
01:21:25.860 you know,
01:21:26.180 not only
01:21:26.700 digital games,
01:21:28.700 but they're
01:21:29.120 playing mental
01:21:30.080 games with
01:21:31.480 the entire
01:21:33.100 West,
01:21:34.260 and what
01:21:35.800 do you do?
01:21:36.320 How do you
01:21:36.760 respond and
01:21:37.600 not go to
01:21:38.140 war?
01:21:38.420 What is
01:21:39.280 the appropriate
01:21:40.320 response?
01:21:42.340 Well,
01:21:42.860 so,
01:21:43.760 a couple of
01:21:45.160 points here.
01:21:45.820 One is that
01:21:46.560 if you really
01:21:47.120 want to hit
01:21:47.780 Putin,
01:21:48.460 we can't
01:21:49.060 delegitimize
01:21:49.620 his elections
01:21:50.500 because they're
01:21:51.540 not democratic,
01:21:53.140 right?
01:21:53.360 He's going to
01:21:53.720 win no matter
01:21:54.260 what,
01:21:54.700 so it's not
01:21:55.140 quid pro quo,
01:21:56.380 but we could
01:21:57.220 easily go
01:21:58.360 after the
01:21:59.840 oligarchs,
01:22:00.780 the people
01:22:01.300 that are
01:22:02.180 close to
01:22:02.900 Putin,
01:22:03.300 that have
01:22:03.540 gotten their
01:22:04.080 billions from
01:22:05.760 Putin's
01:22:06.360 largesse,
01:22:07.000 who have
01:22:07.800 big real
01:22:08.760 estate holdings
01:22:09.740 and all
01:22:10.440 sorts of
01:22:10.840 cash at
01:22:11.360 play in
01:22:12.340 the United
01:22:12.840 States,
01:22:13.280 if we
01:22:13.780 wanted to
01:22:14.600 squeeze
01:22:15.220 them,
01:22:16.160 they'd be
01:22:16.580 very upset
01:22:17.360 at the
01:22:18.000 Kremlin.
01:22:18.660 So that's
01:22:19.340 one step
01:22:20.140 you can
01:22:20.460 take.
01:22:20.760 You could
01:22:20.980 also start
01:22:21.980 leaking
01:22:22.440 information
01:22:23.500 that would
01:22:24.520 be embarrassing
01:22:25.200 to Putin
01:22:25.960 and his
01:22:26.740 family and
01:22:28.580 the oligarchs
01:22:29.580 around him
01:22:29.940 in the same
01:22:30.280 way that they
01:22:30.680 leaked information
01:22:31.560 through WikiLeaks
01:22:32.500 about the
01:22:33.760 Democratic
01:22:34.140 National
01:22:34.860 Committee
01:22:35.820 in the
01:22:36.240 run-up to
01:22:36.720 the elections,
01:22:37.540 for example.
01:22:38.560 I mean,
01:22:38.680 there are
01:22:38.840 steps you
01:22:39.200 can take,
01:22:39.700 but let's
01:22:40.300 also recognize
01:22:41.040 that one
01:22:41.440 of the
01:22:41.600 reasons that
01:22:42.040 Russia is
01:22:42.400 dangerous is
01:22:43.580 not because
01:22:44.360 Putin's so
01:22:45.000 strong,
01:22:45.980 but precisely
01:22:46.940 because Russia
01:22:48.900 is declining
01:22:50.080 in its influence
01:22:51.280 globally,
01:22:51.940 and Putin's
01:22:52.380 really unhappy
01:22:53.160 about that,
01:22:54.080 and it makes
01:22:54.700 him more
01:22:55.280 willing to
01:22:55.940 lash out and
01:22:56.640 more risk
01:22:57.140 acceptance in a
01:22:57.960 way that the
01:22:58.360 Chinese are
01:22:59.720 expanding in
01:23:00.700 their power,
01:23:01.460 they feel
01:23:01.780 resurgent,
01:23:02.440 the time is
01:23:02.920 on their
01:23:03.220 side,
01:23:03.920 and so
01:23:04.220 they're much
01:23:04.680 less willing
01:23:05.520 to take a
01:23:06.940 whack at the
01:23:07.420 Americans.
01:23:07.980 They want to
01:23:08.500 play the long
01:23:09.180 game,
01:23:09.560 they don't
01:23:09.940 want to
01:23:10.220 trade war,
01:23:11.000 and you
01:23:11.460 see this,
01:23:12.100 I mean,
01:23:12.320 clearly Russia's
01:23:13.340 decision,
01:23:14.360 Putin's decision
01:23:15.360 to go after
01:23:16.980 this former
01:23:17.660 spy in
01:23:18.500 Salisbury in
01:23:19.180 the UK
01:23:19.580 probably means
01:23:21.860 that the
01:23:22.200 Europeans now
01:23:23.200 double down
01:23:24.140 on sanctions
01:23:24.800 against Russia,
01:23:25.560 hurting their
01:23:25.920 economy,
01:23:26.560 while many
01:23:27.460 European governments
01:23:28.580 had been
01:23:29.300 pushing to
01:23:30.340 actually take
01:23:31.040 those sanctions
01:23:31.660 off,
01:23:32.100 so they shot
01:23:32.680 themselves in
01:23:33.440 the foot.
01:23:34.040 You now have,
01:23:34.980 because of
01:23:35.720 Putin going
01:23:36.320 after the
01:23:36.800 U.S.
01:23:37.040 elections,
01:23:37.920 a tough line
01:23:38.840 on Russia
01:23:39.500 being just
01:23:40.120 about the
01:23:40.520 only thing
01:23:41.100 Democrats and
01:23:41.780 Republicans in
01:23:42.500 Congress actually
01:23:43.800 agree on,
01:23:44.900 and even in
01:23:45.700 Ukraine,
01:23:46.860 where Putin
01:23:48.500 really embarrassed
01:23:49.460 Obama by going
01:23:50.600 into Crimea,
01:23:51.600 taking it,
01:23:52.480 and refusing to
01:23:53.380 back down and
01:23:54.000 having his little
01:23:54.600 green men in
01:23:55.180 Southeast Ukraine,
01:23:56.380 the fact is that
01:23:57.020 we're now
01:23:57.560 providing the
01:23:58.300 Ukrainians arms
01:23:59.280 the Russians
01:23:59.780 are losing
01:24:00.400 citizens,
01:24:01.340 and it's very
01:24:01.960 embarrassing for
01:24:02.760 them at home,
01:24:03.280 it's not popular,
01:24:04.480 and most of
01:24:05.660 Ukraine,
01:24:06.200 the vast majority
01:24:06.900 of their economy
01:24:07.500 and their political
01:24:08.120 system is oriented
01:24:09.560 inexorably towards
01:24:11.240 the West,
01:24:11.840 towards Europe
01:24:12.320 and the United
01:24:12.760 States,
01:24:13.160 which had not
01:24:14.140 been the case
01:24:14.900 before the Russians
01:24:16.000 actually invaded
01:24:16.720 Crimea,
01:24:17.120 it was much more
01:24:17.880 split.
01:24:18.560 In a strange
01:24:19.160 way,
01:24:19.740 doesn't the
01:24:21.060 isolation
01:24:21.740 of Russia
01:24:24.340 play into
01:24:26.320 what I fear
01:24:27.340 is happening
01:24:27.780 all over the
01:24:28.640 globe and
01:24:29.160 much of it
01:24:29.640 directed by
01:24:30.300 Russia into
01:24:31.420 this nationalization,
01:24:33.260 this heritage
01:24:34.220 movement,
01:24:35.600 doesn't that in
01:24:36.440 some ways make
01:24:37.400 him more strong
01:24:38.440 if they're alone
01:24:40.080 and it's us
01:24:40.580 against the world
01:24:41.420 and we are
01:24:42.880 strong Russia?
01:24:45.200 You're absolutely
01:24:46.160 right, Glenn,
01:24:47.120 and it does make
01:24:48.120 him strong at
01:24:49.060 home in the
01:24:50.260 same way that
01:24:51.340 Castro never
01:24:52.720 wanted the
01:24:53.380 removal of U.S.
01:24:54.580 sanctions because
01:24:55.760 if we had been
01:24:57.000 investing like
01:24:57.760 crazy with all
01:24:58.580 the tourists
01:24:59.160 coming into
01:24:59.860 Havana,
01:25:00.740 his regime
01:25:01.440 wouldn't have
01:25:01.840 lasted very
01:25:02.520 long.
01:25:02.980 So absolutely
01:25:04.240 Putin at
01:25:05.500 home is
01:25:06.620 strengthened by
01:25:07.600 this kind of
01:25:08.380 heritage movement
01:25:09.180 exactly as you
01:25:10.380 say.
01:25:10.960 But to be
01:25:11.460 clear,
01:25:12.360 there's no
01:25:12.800 threat to
01:25:13.280 Putin
01:25:13.520 domestically
01:25:14.160 anyway.
01:25:15.060 I mean,
01:25:15.300 whether he was
01:25:15.860 going to win
01:25:16.220 with 77% of
01:25:17.680 the vote as
01:25:18.120 he did or
01:25:18.660 72% or
01:25:19.880 65%.
01:25:20.860 real opposition
01:25:22.540 in Russia is
01:25:23.200 either locked
01:25:23.920 up,
01:25:24.460 exiled,
01:25:24.940 or dead.
01:25:26.320 Ian,
01:25:26.600 can we talk
01:25:26.920 about the
01:25:27.180 oligarchs a
01:25:27.700 little bit?
01:25:28.020 Because that
01:25:28.280 has been one
01:25:28.820 of the kind
01:25:29.940 of suggestions,
01:25:30.660 as you kind
01:25:31.000 of pointed
01:25:31.280 out,
01:25:32.140 that we go
01:25:32.740 after the
01:25:33.240 people,
01:25:33.920 all the
01:25:34.260 oligarchs in
01:25:35.480 Russia and
01:25:36.140 all of their
01:25:36.560 money that's
01:25:37.540 spread out
01:25:38.100 globally.
01:25:39.000 But there's
01:25:39.300 an argument to
01:25:39.880 say that that
01:25:40.660 is a problem
01:25:41.620 because what
01:25:42.660 Putin wants
01:25:43.780 is to bring
01:25:44.480 all that money
01:25:45.120 back into
01:25:45.800 Russia.
01:25:46.720 And that was
01:25:47.260 kind of what
01:25:47.920 would be the
01:25:48.500 result of that.
01:25:49.600 Is that
01:25:49.840 accurate?
01:25:50.280 Indeed.
01:25:50.860 It is.
01:25:51.740 In fact,
01:25:51.920 I've made
01:25:52.200 that argument
01:25:52.760 and it's a
01:25:53.280 double-edged
01:25:53.680 sword.
01:25:54.420 So the
01:25:54.780 question is
01:25:55.360 how much
01:25:55.980 do you want
01:25:57.040 to get the
01:25:57.660 benefit from
01:25:59.020 taking on
01:25:59.680 oligarchs who
01:26:00.820 are clearly
01:26:01.480 going to be
01:26:01.960 personally less
01:26:03.000 happy with
01:26:03.580 the Kremlin?
01:26:04.600 And, you
01:26:05.020 know,
01:26:05.160 might you get
01:26:05.860 one or two
01:26:06.320 of them to
01:26:06.660 defect?
01:26:07.320 Might you get
01:26:07.840 good information
01:26:08.600 that way?
01:26:09.280 As opposed to
01:26:10.240 the structural
01:26:10.760 point,
01:26:11.520 which is
01:26:12.080 Putin's
01:26:12.720 economy is
01:26:13.500 deteriorating,
01:26:14.720 oil prices
01:26:15.600 are comparatively
01:26:16.560 low,
01:26:17.340 they don't
01:26:17.740 really make
01:26:18.400 anything,
01:26:19.120 a lot of
01:26:19.480 multinational
01:26:19.960 companies are
01:26:20.500 not lining
01:26:21.120 up to
01:26:21.600 invest in
01:26:22.100 the Russian
01:26:22.440 market the
01:26:22.980 way they
01:26:23.260 are,
01:26:23.580 China or
01:26:24.120 other emerging
01:26:24.680 markets.
01:26:25.140 And so Putin
01:26:26.460 has been
01:26:27.140 trying to
01:26:28.360 get big
01:26:28.820 oligarchs to
01:26:29.600 bring cash
01:26:30.340 back to
01:26:32.020 Russia.
01:26:32.600 and that's
01:26:33.840 also an
01:26:34.460 argument in
01:26:35.060 the UK
01:26:35.460 where so
01:26:36.140 many more
01:26:36.640 of them
01:26:36.960 are located
01:26:37.580 and domiciled
01:26:38.560 and clearly
01:26:39.300 that doesn't
01:26:39.800 make Putin
01:26:40.280 very happy.
01:26:41.740 Back in
01:26:42.520 99,
01:26:43.380 I read
01:26:44.460 the manifesto
01:26:46.280 from Osama
01:26:48.340 bin Laden
01:26:48.840 and in it
01:26:50.880 he said,
01:26:51.500 and I didn't
01:26:52.080 understand it
01:26:52.680 at the time,
01:26:53.300 he said,
01:26:53.900 what I did
01:26:54.480 to the
01:26:55.740 Soviet Union
01:26:56.500 I will do
01:26:57.000 to America.
01:26:57.640 And I
01:26:59.040 thought,
01:26:59.400 he didn't
01:27:00.200 do that,
01:27:00.940 you know,
01:27:01.640 you were
01:27:03.280 part of it,
01:27:04.020 but it was
01:27:04.420 Ronald Reagan
01:27:05.040 and Pope
01:27:05.420 John Paul
01:27:05.980 and Margaret
01:27:06.500 Thatcher and
01:27:07.280 you know,
01:27:08.400 we collapsed
01:27:08.960 them economically.
01:27:10.020 And now I
01:27:13.320 see that
01:27:14.640 I feel
01:27:15.580 the exact
01:27:16.620 play
01:27:17.700 is being
01:27:18.560 made against
01:27:19.400 the United
01:27:19.780 States and
01:27:20.540 the West
01:27:21.120 and Russia
01:27:22.180 is playing
01:27:23.060 a role
01:27:23.740 in this
01:27:24.340 and I
01:27:25.160 was so
01:27:26.440 intrigued by
01:27:27.440 now today
01:27:28.120 they just
01:27:28.500 showed their
01:27:29.000 test of
01:27:30.300 the new
01:27:30.720 Satan rocket
01:27:31.780 which I
01:27:32.520 was strangely
01:27:33.680 titled.
01:27:34.760 But they
01:27:35.540 talk about
01:27:36.300 this hyper
01:27:36.960 sonic
01:27:38.560 weapon
01:27:39.380 and it
01:27:40.660 just strikes
01:27:41.420 me as
01:27:42.220 Star Wars
01:27:43.240 and Ronald
01:27:43.720 Reagan.
01:27:44.760 Do you
01:27:45.500 think that
01:27:45.920 these are
01:27:46.400 bluffs
01:27:47.180 and trying
01:27:48.480 to get us
01:27:48.980 into an
01:27:49.400 arms race
01:27:50.160 or do you
01:27:50.620 think this
01:27:50.920 is real?
01:27:51.880 It goes
01:27:52.660 back to
01:27:53.080 your earlier
01:27:53.620 point that
01:27:54.840 if Putin
01:27:55.860 can show
01:27:56.500 his own
01:27:57.080 people that
01:27:57.780 he is on
01:27:58.400 par with
01:27:59.080 the United
01:27:59.580 States,
01:28:00.320 that he
01:28:00.920 is the
01:28:01.320 big antagonist,
01:28:02.620 he can get
01:28:03.140 the Americans
01:28:03.760 involved in
01:28:04.540 a new
01:28:04.820 Cold War
01:28:05.540 and an
01:28:05.880 arms race
01:28:06.340 that makes
01:28:06.820 him look
01:28:07.460 stronger.
01:28:08.520 But you
01:28:08.740 know,
01:28:08.840 as the
01:28:09.200 world's
01:28:09.860 only
01:28:10.400 comprehensive
01:28:11.220 superpower,
01:28:11.980 the United
01:28:12.300 States,
01:28:13.000 the good
01:28:13.480 news is
01:28:14.520 that we
01:28:15.360 do a lot
01:28:16.000 more damage
01:28:16.600 to ourselves
01:28:17.360 than any
01:28:17.860 other country
01:28:18.380 could possibly
01:28:19.080 do.
01:28:19.420 That's of
01:28:19.980 course also
01:28:20.620 the bad
01:28:21.120 news.
01:28:21.920 And in
01:28:22.080 that regard,
01:28:22.980 I would
01:28:23.640 argue that
01:28:24.360 let's say
01:28:24.780 John Bolton
01:28:25.440 is probably
01:28:25.980 more of a
01:28:26.480 threat to
01:28:26.920 the United
01:28:27.300 States,
01:28:27.960 a la what
01:28:28.440 you just
01:28:28.780 said from
01:28:29.160 Osama
01:28:29.480 bin Laden
01:28:29.960 than
01:28:30.540 Vladimir
01:28:30.900 Putin
01:28:31.220 is.
01:28:31.860 In other
01:28:32.140 words,
01:28:32.340 someone that
01:28:32.700 really believes
01:28:33.480 the war in
01:28:34.080 Iraq still
01:28:34.880 was a good
01:28:35.640 idea,
01:28:36.340 despite all
01:28:36.960 the Americans
01:28:37.640 killed and
01:28:38.840 PTSD and
01:28:39.880 coming back
01:28:40.400 and feeling
01:28:40.760 like we
01:28:41.460 shouldn't be
01:28:41.920 the global
01:28:42.400 sheriff anymore,
01:28:43.320 despite all
01:28:44.480 of the money,
01:28:45.180 despite all
01:28:45.840 of the bad
01:28:46.420 will with
01:28:46.900 allies as
01:28:47.780 well as the
01:28:49.100 instability in
01:28:49.900 the region that
01:28:50.520 came as a
01:28:50.980 consequence of
01:28:51.720 that failed
01:28:52.280 war, we
01:28:53.300 now have
01:28:53.660 someone that's
01:28:54.180 about to be
01:28:54.660 national security
01:28:55.480 advisor that
01:28:56.120 thinks that
01:28:56.480 that's actually
01:28:57.020 good policy and
01:28:58.040 not just in
01:28:58.540 Iraq but in
01:28:59.160 other places
01:28:59.640 too.
01:28:59.960 Now it'll
01:29:00.500 be interesting
01:29:01.000 to see how
01:29:01.420 that plays
01:29:01.900 out when
01:29:02.580 we have
01:29:02.900 Trump himself
01:29:03.700 intimating over
01:29:05.500 the last 24
01:29:06.220 hours the U.S.
01:29:06.960 should pull
01:29:07.320 out of Syria
01:29:08.160 precisely because
01:29:10.060 well what's in
01:29:10.680 it for us?
01:29:11.320 We defeated
01:29:11.820 ISIS so why
01:29:12.820 are we still
01:29:13.380 there?
01:29:13.920 It'll be very
01:29:14.280 interesting to see
01:29:14.860 how those two
01:29:15.460 end up playing
01:29:16.120 together.
01:29:16.960 Even though
01:29:17.380 we did not,
01:29:21.120 no one in
01:29:21.880 Congress and
01:29:22.400 there was no
01:29:22.920 will to stop
01:29:23.860 this proxy war
01:29:26.520 with Yemen
01:29:27.440 or in Yemen
01:29:29.420 with Iran.
01:29:32.400 That's an
01:29:33.620 undeclared war
01:29:34.800 that both
01:29:35.940 Bernie Sanders
01:29:36.540 and Mike Lee
01:29:37.280 tried to stop
01:29:38.040 and we seem
01:29:40.700 to be expanding
01:29:41.640 and not
01:29:42.720 contracting.
01:29:44.600 Yeah, I mean
01:29:45.060 certainly and
01:29:45.680 that was Obama
01:29:46.380 and Trump.
01:29:47.400 That policy has
01:29:48.000 been quite
01:29:48.440 consistent over
01:29:49.920 the course of
01:29:50.620 the two
01:29:50.960 administrations but
01:29:52.600 not led by the
01:29:53.300 United States,
01:29:53.860 led by our
01:29:54.520 allies, the
01:29:55.220 Saudis and
01:29:55.760 the Emiratis
01:29:56.440 and certainly
01:29:57.040 after Trump
01:29:57.960 made his
01:29:58.340 first trip
01:29:59.380 as president
01:30:00.380 outside the
01:30:01.060 United States,
01:30:01.780 not to Canada
01:30:02.460 which would
01:30:02.960 have been
01:30:03.140 more traditional
01:30:03.760 but instead
01:30:04.440 to Saudi Arabia
01:30:05.960 and was very
01:30:06.720 fetid by the
01:30:08.500 Saudi king
01:30:09.140 and the crown
01:30:09.700 prince.
01:30:10.680 It was hard
01:30:11.340 to imagine
01:30:12.160 that the
01:30:12.820 United States
01:30:13.460 would then
01:30:13.900 tell the Saudis
01:30:14.720 okay we're
01:30:15.240 going to cut
01:30:15.600 the rug out
01:30:16.240 and we're
01:30:16.640 not going to
01:30:17.080 support you
01:30:17.600 in this war.
01:30:18.840 Now, I mean
01:30:19.220 I do think
01:30:19.640 that there are
01:30:20.040 good reasons
01:30:20.680 to support
01:30:21.320 this Saudi
01:30:21.840 regime.
01:30:22.440 I think that
01:30:22.760 at home
01:30:23.380 Mohammed bin
01:30:24.780 Salman is
01:30:25.260 truly trying
01:30:26.200 to engage
01:30:26.940 in revolutionary
01:30:28.560 transformation
01:30:29.620 which is way
01:30:30.560 overdue in
01:30:31.400 terms of their
01:30:31.980 economy, their
01:30:32.720 culture and
01:30:33.320 their religion
01:30:33.840 and if he
01:30:34.540 can stop
01:30:35.180 funding the
01:30:35.860 Wahhabists both
01:30:36.640 at home and
01:30:37.120 abroad, that's
01:30:38.320 going to take
01:30:38.700 away some of
01:30:39.400 the terrorist
01:30:39.780 threats that we've
01:30:40.280 had.
01:30:40.700 But internationally
01:30:41.980 he's been much
01:30:44.520 more willing to
01:30:45.340 take on risk,
01:30:46.180 try to show his
01:30:46.800 bona fides and
01:30:48.140 also get the
01:30:49.000 Americans sucked
01:30:49.780 into conflicts.
01:30:50.620 It's not at all
01:30:51.260 clear in our
01:30:52.260 interest.
01:30:52.660 Ian, we'd
01:30:55.280 love to have
01:30:55.640 you back when
01:30:56.200 your book comes
01:30:56.760 out.
01:30:57.120 You have a new
01:30:58.100 book coming out
01:30:58.680 called Us
01:30:59.180 Versus Them,
01:31:00.020 The Failure of
01:31:00.660 Globalism and
01:31:01.820 from what little
01:31:02.400 I know about it
01:31:03.120 so far, it
01:31:04.340 sounds fascinating
01:31:05.100 and I think we
01:31:05.600 could have a
01:31:05.840 great conversation
01:31:06.480 on it.
01:31:06.760 We'd love to
01:31:07.100 have you back
01:31:07.600 for then.
01:31:09.200 I'd love to,
01:31:09.880 Glenn.
01:31:10.140 Just a few
01:31:10.560 weeks.
01:31:10.820 Thanks for
01:31:11.100 talking to you.
01:31:11.560 Thank you
01:31:12.020 very much.
01:31:12.800 Ian Bremmer,
01:31:13.540 political scientist
01:31:14.640 and author of
01:31:17.180 Us Versus Them,
01:31:18.360 which is coming
01:31:18.880 out.
01:31:19.340 Yeah, it
01:31:19.500 comes out April
01:31:19.920 24th, Glenn.
01:31:21.660 He's at
01:31:21.880 ianbremmer.com
01:31:22.780 or at
01:31:23.520 ianbremmer
01:31:24.080 on Twitter.
01:31:26.120 All right, I
01:31:26.700 want to talk to
01:31:27.080 you about
01:31:27.240 LifeLock.
01:31:28.120 Look, there
01:31:28.820 are so many
01:31:30.120 threats going
01:31:31.560 on, you
01:31:32.920 know, especially
01:31:33.340 during tax
01:31:34.080 time.
01:31:34.800 People can,
01:31:35.620 you know, claim
01:31:36.540 your identity
01:31:37.200 and file for
01:31:38.280 taxes.
01:31:39.360 You can get a
01:31:40.200 tax refund and
01:31:42.260 criminals will
01:31:43.360 call you and
01:31:44.060 say, hey, by
01:31:44.980 the way, this
01:31:45.380 is the IRS and
01:31:45.960 there was a
01:31:46.260 problem and you
01:31:46.680 got to return
01:31:47.140 that right away
01:31:47.840 and you send
01:31:48.300 it to this and
01:31:48.960 people are
01:31:49.380 falling for
01:31:49.940 it.
01:31:50.720 There are so
01:31:51.760 many threats
01:31:52.760 and most of
01:31:54.880 them will go
01:31:55.320 undetected and
01:31:56.880 that's where you
01:31:57.420 really get into
01:31:58.120 trouble.
01:31:58.980 The new LifeLock
01:32:00.360 identity theft
01:32:01.160 protection is now
01:32:02.240 adding the power
01:32:03.060 of Norton
01:32:03.600 security to help
01:32:04.720 protect you
01:32:05.380 against the
01:32:05.880 threats to your
01:32:06.600 identity and to
01:32:07.620 your devices that
01:32:08.880 you can't easily
01:32:09.660 see or fix on
01:32:10.560 your own.
01:32:11.220 If you have a
01:32:12.200 problem, they have
01:32:13.240 agents who are
01:32:13.860 going to work to
01:32:14.420 fix it.
01:32:15.380 Now, nobody can
01:32:15.960 stop all cyber
01:32:16.660 threats, prevent all
01:32:17.460 identity theft, or
01:32:18.280 monitor all
01:32:18.760 transactions,
01:32:19.220 and all
01:32:19.560 businesses, but
01:32:20.240 LifeLock has
01:32:20.940 pulled my butt
01:32:21.480 out of the fire
01:32:21.980 a couple of
01:32:22.520 times.
01:32:23.340 You get a phone
01:32:24.000 call and they
01:32:24.500 say, are you
01:32:25.340 doing this?
01:32:25.980 Are you opening
01:32:26.520 this account?
01:32:27.260 Are you?
01:32:28.320 I don't know.
01:32:29.260 Honey, are you
01:32:29.880 opening this
01:32:30.460 account?
01:32:31.440 No.
01:32:31.780 No, we're not.
01:32:34.100 Great.
01:32:34.660 We're on it.
01:32:35.700 That's the way it
01:32:36.440 happens.
01:32:37.480 LifeLock.com.
01:32:38.960 Call 1-800-LIFELOCK

01:32:41.780 code back.
01:32:42.340 You'll get an
01:32:42.700 extra 10% off your
01:32:44.080 first year if you
01:32:45.600 use the promo code
01:32:46.540 back at
01:32:47.180 LifeLock.com.
01:32:51.200 Glenn Beck
01:32:52.900 Mercury.
01:33:01.900 Glenn Beck.
01:33:02.960 And now, the gun
01:33:06.080 debate that America
01:33:07.840 deserves.
01:33:09.300 Hello, Mr. Hogg.
01:33:10.560 My name is Rex Jones,
01:33:11.740 and I want to make a
01:33:12.300 public statement about
01:33:13.040 you claiming to speak
01:33:13.900 for my generation
01:33:14.820 about guns.
01:33:15.680 I'm 15 years old,
01:33:16.780 Mr. Hogg, and I
01:33:17.860 don't need talking
01:33:18.460 points or a little
01:33:19.500 teleprompter behind my
01:33:20.680 CNN interview screen
01:33:21.940 to get my point
01:33:22.780 across.
01:33:23.360 I'm backed up by
01:33:24.280 statistics and facts.
01:33:25.440 You are backed up by
01:33:26.280 falsities and lies.
01:33:27.400 Mr. Hogg, my dad
01:33:28.960 publicly invited you to
01:33:30.040 come on his show and
01:33:31.020 debate him.
01:33:31.500 You shied away and
01:33:32.680 crawled back under
01:33:33.360 your rock.
01:33:34.360 I, Rex Jones, would
01:33:35.100 like to publicly
01:33:35.680 challenge you to
01:33:36.640 debate me.
01:33:37.440 Name the time, name
01:33:38.400 the place, name the
01:33:39.260 venue.
01:33:39.760 I will do it.
01:33:42.720 Rargh!
01:33:44.860 Apple, uh, falling
01:33:45.740 far from the tree
01:33:46.360 there.
01:33:46.700 Oh, my gosh.
01:33:47.900 That's Alex Jones'
01:33:49.060 son, uh, challenging,
01:33:50.800 uh, uh, Hogg to a,
01:33:53.200 uh, to a debate,
01:33:54.320 which...
01:33:54.780 I will say, I mean,
01:33:56.020 the Second Amendment
01:33:56.620 was debated among our
01:33:58.540 founding fathers.
01:33:59.240 Yeah.
01:33:59.740 Uh, I mean...
01:34:01.100 And I will say that
01:34:01.900 this is a perfect end
01:34:03.820 to this experiment.
01:34:04.680 It really is.
01:34:05.300 Let's have a final
01:34:06.720 debate between a 15-year-old
01:34:08.280 and a 17-year-old,
01:34:09.720 one of which is the son
01:34:10.820 of a conspiracy theorist,
01:34:12.700 and let's just have
01:34:13.540 them...
01:34:14.200 They'll debate the
01:34:14.960 Second Amendment,
01:34:15.520 and then we unplug the
01:34:16.380 country and turn it off.
01:34:17.820 I think that's a great
01:34:18.760 last act, because really,
01:34:20.640 where do you go from
01:34:21.320 there?
01:34:21.760 Good night, everybody!
01:34:22.420 Good night, everybody!
01:34:23.240 And we just turn it off
01:34:24.160 and see, maybe somebody
01:34:25.820 comes eventually to turn
01:34:27.200 it into something else.
01:34:27.980 But I feel like...
01:34:28.780 I mean, I'm speaking
01:34:29.380 as an alcoholic.
01:34:31.340 Where's our bottom?
01:34:33.360 Seriously.
01:34:33.720 I think we just found it,
01:34:34.920 but, you know, maybe not.
01:34:35.700 No, I don't think that's it.
01:34:37.120 I don't think that's it.
01:34:38.120 I think those two
01:34:39.040 could debate,
01:34:39.780 and we would still...
01:34:40.860 Oh, yeah, we'd find
01:34:41.760 something else.
01:34:42.120 We'd still go lower.
01:34:43.160 We'd still go lower.
01:34:45.180 I mean, I...
01:34:46.660 I can't even...
01:34:47.260 I can't even imagine...
01:34:48.320 We said the same thing
01:34:49.060 about some of the...
01:34:50.580 the survivors of Parkland,
01:34:53.280 which is, of course,
01:34:54.080 their points are...
01:34:56.080 should be included
01:34:56.800 in the debate
01:34:57.220 if they wish it to be.
01:34:58.800 And, of course,
01:35:00.200 obviously hearing about
01:35:01.360 their experience
01:35:02.440 is important.
01:35:03.660 But the way they've been
01:35:04.720 utilized by the media
01:35:06.060 and the left
01:35:06.680 is despicable,
01:35:07.700 and it's hard to imagine
01:35:08.920 that this is any different.
01:35:11.020 Right?
01:35:11.940 I mean,
01:35:12.280 it's...
01:35:12.560 The same point
01:35:13.040 should apply here,
01:35:13.840 right, guys?
01:35:15.300 I mean,
01:35:16.020 it's not...
01:35:17.040 it's not a good turn.
01:35:17.960 Glenn Beck.
01:35:27.380 Mercury.
01:35:39.200 You're listening
01:35:39.840 to the Glenn Beck Program.
01:35:41.740 Stu,
01:35:42.240 can we do
01:35:42.780 Choose Your News
01:35:43.520 and also
01:35:44.760 the Hillary Clinton
01:35:45.760 audio at the same time?
01:35:47.440 If we hurry.
01:35:48.280 If we hurry.
01:35:48.880 Let's start with
01:35:50.060 a little bit
01:35:50.540 of Hillary Clinton.
01:35:51.780 We just want to,
01:35:52.720 you know,
01:35:53.820 see if the
01:35:54.680 Anti-Defamation League
01:35:55.840 is interested
01:35:56.600 in any of this audio.
01:35:58.180 Here's Hillary Clinton,
01:35:59.220 her latest.
01:36:01.400 As someone
01:36:02.320 who grew up
01:36:03.240 in Vienna
01:36:03.920 and barely escaped
01:36:05.260 the Holocaust,
01:36:06.220 my mother would say
01:36:07.620 from time to time
01:36:08.940 that it could happen here.
01:36:11.120 and I was...
01:36:14.900 I would be
01:36:15.960 very dismissive
01:36:16.960 of that.
01:36:17.620 I would dismiss it
01:36:18.720 and I'd dismiss
01:36:19.720 her comments
01:36:20.400 and her fears
01:36:21.080 as implausible.
01:36:22.720 I now find it shocking
01:36:23.920 I'm even about
01:36:24.580 to ask this question,
01:36:25.880 but I do want you
01:36:27.720 to talk about
01:36:28.200 what are your concerns
01:36:29.260 about the stability
01:36:30.720 of our democratic institutions
01:36:33.660 and structures
01:36:34.920 in these
01:36:36.740 tumultuous moments
01:36:38.040 and what for you
01:36:39.360 is the essence
01:36:40.520 of American democracy?
01:36:43.460 I'm hoping
01:36:44.280 that
01:36:45.420 the worst,
01:36:47.520 the kind of
01:36:48.240 question you ask me,
01:36:50.060 Ruth,
01:36:50.300 is just never even
01:36:51.360 approached.
01:36:52.440 We never get to that.
01:36:53.580 So we won't get to Nazism.
01:36:54.780 But it will require
01:36:56.020 people turning up
01:36:56.980 and voting
01:36:57.420 in these midterm elections.
01:36:59.440 Midterm?
01:37:00.780 Oh, okay.
01:37:02.120 So it's Nazism
01:37:02.940 or they vote the right way
01:37:04.060 in the 2018 midterm elections.
01:37:06.160 Okay.
01:37:06.580 We're not going to get there
01:37:07.780 unless people vote
01:37:09.560 Democrats
01:37:10.720 in 2018.
01:37:13.760 But I hope
01:37:14.660 we never get there.
01:37:15.920 But we could be
01:37:16.980 within 12 months.
01:37:18.220 I mean,
01:37:19.440 what?
01:37:21.140 What?
01:37:21.820 Where is that?
01:37:22.740 I never,
01:37:23.480 ever,
01:37:23.700 ever,
01:37:24.020 ever,
01:37:24.360 ever got close
01:37:25.920 to that.
01:37:27.040 She's saying
01:37:27.720 if you don't vote
01:37:29.180 in the midterm,
01:37:30.920 we'll probably turn
01:37:31.780 into a Nazi nation.
01:37:32.680 Oh,
01:37:34.400 okay.
01:37:36.100 All right.
01:37:36.780 No big deal.
01:37:37.840 She's gone nuts.
01:37:39.840 All right.
01:37:40.500 Choose your news, Stu.
01:37:41.820 Yes.
01:37:43.880 Here's the headline number one.
01:37:45.680 The world's first
01:37:46.680 blockchain toothbrush
01:37:48.120 lets you mine coins
01:37:50.400 while brushing your teeth.
01:37:52.740 Okay.
01:37:53.580 Headline number two.
01:37:55.240 Who needs a taxi
01:37:56.440 when you can take an ambulance?
01:37:58.820 Okay.
01:37:59.320 All right.
01:37:59.720 And number three,
01:38:00.820 probably the worst headline,
01:38:03.140 but a very good story.
01:38:05.900 Drug bust in Detroit
01:38:07.500 gone horribly wrong.
01:38:11.320 I feel like you have
01:38:12.140 your thumb on the scale here.
01:38:13.520 I don't.
01:38:14.320 I gotta go drug bust.
01:38:15.720 I am making a recommendation
01:38:17.100 for the drug bust.
01:38:18.540 Good choice.
01:38:19.500 Okay.
01:38:19.720 You ready?
01:38:20.500 Mm-hmm.
01:38:21.360 Detroit police.
01:38:23.940 Undercover police officers
01:38:25.320 in a drug bust.
01:38:29.380 The officers
01:38:30.340 were undercover,
01:38:33.680 disguised as drug buyers.
01:38:36.920 They go in
01:38:37.980 and they
01:38:38.500 they make the deal.
01:38:40.100 Now, remember,
01:38:40.900 this is very tense.
01:38:42.740 These are
01:38:43.520 high-level drug dealers
01:38:45.340 they're dealing with.
01:38:46.680 They've been staking them out
01:38:48.080 for a while.
01:38:49.580 They go in.
01:38:50.980 They need to make sure
01:38:52.360 that they do it right.
01:38:53.180 And remember, guys,
01:38:54.140 do not pull a gun.
01:38:55.440 Don't do anything
01:38:56.380 until the money
01:38:58.460 is exchanged
01:38:59.660 and we have
01:39:01.060 the drug
01:39:02.000 and they have the money.
01:39:04.320 Are we all clear on that?
01:39:06.220 Yes, sir.
01:39:07.380 All right.
01:39:08.820 Put your hoodie on.
01:39:09.900 Let's go.
01:39:11.500 They go in.
01:39:12.940 They make the deal
01:39:13.860 after months
01:39:14.620 of working
01:39:15.400 this
01:39:16.060 gang.
01:39:16.840 They make the deal
01:39:21.760 and both sides
01:39:22.980 say
01:39:23.480 freeze
01:39:25.080 because
01:39:28.380 police district
01:39:30.560 11
01:39:31.080 was posing
01:39:32.800 as
01:39:33.260 drug dealers.
01:39:35.280 Detroit
01:39:36.080 police district
01:39:36.960 12
01:39:37.660 were posing
01:39:38.740 as drug
01:39:40.160 buyers.
01:39:42.160 Needless to say,
01:39:43.520 the room
01:39:44.460 got a little tense
01:39:45.400 when both sides
01:39:46.740 drew their guns
01:39:48.120 and said
01:39:49.080 they had a warrant
01:39:50.060 for their arrest.
01:39:57.760 Oops.
01:39:59.580 Yeah, that was
01:40:00.400 a
01:40:00.880 drug bust
01:40:02.760 gone
01:40:03.040 horribly,
01:40:04.780 horribly wrong.
01:40:07.780 All right.
01:40:09.120 We'll see.
01:40:09.400 We'll have to save
01:40:09.920 the toothbrush
01:40:10.360 for the bit mining
01:40:11.160 here in a second.

01:41:08.580 Glenn Beck
01:41:11.800 Mercury.
01:41:23.220 Glenn Beck.
01:41:25.700 Today,
01:41:26.800 we're going
01:41:27.800 on a journey.
01:41:30.560 They say that
01:41:31.700 time itself
01:41:32.460 does not exist
01:41:33.520 as we know it,
01:41:35.220 as we understand it.
01:41:36.800 It only really exists
01:41:40.520 as something called
01:41:41.520 space-time.
01:41:43.980 It's really only a point
01:41:45.900 on a giant map.
01:41:48.460 Something that we can use
01:41:49.980 to find out
01:41:50.640 where we are,
01:41:52.280 where we've been,
01:41:53.700 or where we're going.
01:41:56.700 So let's unfold
01:41:58.280 space-time
01:41:59.200 and trace our way back.
01:42:02.700 First,
01:42:03.660 maybe just a couple
01:42:04.960 of years.
01:42:07.480 Tonight,
01:42:08.180 I can report
01:42:09.220 to the American people
01:42:10.180 and to the world.
01:42:11.100 The United States
01:42:11.680 has conducted
01:42:12.300 an operation
01:42:12.960 that killed
01:42:13.540 Osama bin Laden,
01:42:14.460 leader of al-Qaeda.
01:42:15.160 On my orders,
01:42:15.900 the United States military
01:42:17.060 has begun strike.
01:42:17.960 Against al-Qaeda
01:42:18.680 terrorist training camp.
01:42:19.720 The people
01:42:20.060 who knocked
01:42:20.680 these buildings down
01:42:21.940 will hear all of us soon.
01:42:25.000 Now back,
01:42:26.160 even further.
01:42:27.460 Princess Diana died
01:42:28.640 in a war.
01:42:28.840 I did not have
01:42:30.580 this vast
01:42:31.440 right-wing conspiracy.
01:42:32.640 He is O.J. Simpson.
01:42:34.720 He is armed
01:42:35.140 with a gun.
01:42:35.660 Mr. Gorbachev
01:42:36.820 tears down
01:42:38.000 his head.
01:42:39.160 Elvis Presley
01:42:39.980 died today.
01:42:41.080 Well, I'm not a crook.
01:42:42.400 I've earned
01:42:43.300 everything I've got.
01:42:45.080 Because of what
01:42:45.720 has happened in Munich
01:42:46.480 during the past
01:42:47.120 48 or nine
01:42:48.580 terrified
01:42:49.260 living human beings
01:42:50.340 are being held
01:42:51.180 prisoner.
01:42:51.580 All fair for man.
01:42:52.920 A second shot,
01:42:53.820 the third total shot
01:42:54.960 hit the president's head.
01:42:56.340 Gentlemen,
01:42:56.920 the Beatles!
01:42:57.820 Dr. Martin Luther King
01:42:59.480 has been shot to death
01:43:00.860 in Memphis.
01:43:01.580 A short time ago,
01:43:03.180 an American airplane
01:43:04.600 dropped one bomb
01:43:06.080 on Hiroshima.
01:43:07.220 Allied naval forces
01:43:08.680 supported by
01:43:10.440 strong air forces
01:43:11.940 began landing
01:43:13.700 Allied armies
01:43:14.820 this morning
01:43:15.700 on the northern
01:43:17.060 coast of France.
01:43:18.720 December 7th,
01:43:21.340 1941,
01:43:24.280 a date which will
01:43:25.460 live in infamy.
01:43:27.320 All the humanity
01:43:28.400 back farther still
01:43:31.800 even before
01:43:32.920 Marconi
01:43:33.600 when the air
01:43:34.980 was silent.
01:43:41.720 Back past the signing
01:43:43.160 of the Declaration
01:43:43.920 of Independence,
01:43:44.860 past the age
01:43:45.620 of enlightenment,
01:43:46.720 before Martin Luther
01:43:47.860 hung his protest
01:43:48.880 on the church doors,
01:43:50.380 before Columbus
01:43:51.240 rediscovered the fact
01:43:52.480 that the world
01:43:53.100 was round.
01:43:54.580 We go past
01:43:55.360 Newton,
01:43:56.140 Galileo,
01:43:56.740 the dark ages,
01:43:58.060 the crusades,
01:43:59.360 back to a time
01:44:00.640 before books
01:44:01.560 when most of the world
01:44:03.200 couldn't read
01:44:04.040 nor write
01:44:04.740 and history
01:44:05.900 was oral.
01:44:08.340 We leave this world
01:44:09.900 now
01:44:10.340 where we can hear
01:44:11.480 and see
01:44:12.100 a lone protester
01:44:13.240 standing in front
01:44:14.160 of a tank
01:44:14.760 in a country
01:44:15.620 on the other side
01:44:16.480 of the planet
01:44:17.040 and we can see it live
01:44:18.860 to a world
01:44:20.200 seemingly simple
01:44:21.740 yet brutal
01:44:23.200 beyond our understanding
01:44:24.640 where news
01:44:26.020 was spread
01:44:26.600 from mouth
01:44:27.200 to mouth.
01:44:28.760 We stop
01:44:29.480 here
01:44:30.160 at approximately
01:44:32.520 29 of the
01:44:33.920 Common Era.
01:44:36.060 We stop
01:44:37.040 at a small
01:44:37.680 walled city
01:44:38.500 in the Middle East.
01:44:40.180 It's around
01:44:40.760 10 o'clock
01:44:41.340 at night,
01:44:42.480 just a couple
01:44:43.160 of days
01:44:43.800 before Passover.
01:44:45.820 The meals
01:44:46.480 are being prepared,
01:44:47.980 the night's meal
01:44:48.800 had already
01:44:49.340 been eaten
01:44:49.880 and most
01:44:51.020 in the city
01:44:51.640 are asleep.
01:44:52.840 One man,
01:44:54.800 however,
01:44:55.660 is not.
01:44:57.460 It's strange.
01:44:59.300 He's younger
01:45:00.180 than I am.
01:45:01.640 He's about 30.
01:45:03.720 He's awake
01:45:04.420 and alone
01:45:05.780 in a garden.
01:45:07.640 His friends
01:45:08.300 who have been
01:45:08.700 with him
01:45:09.060 for several years
01:45:09.940 are just a few
01:45:10.660 yards away.
01:45:12.180 They slumber
01:45:12.840 underneath
01:45:13.360 the star-filled sky.
01:45:15.680 They still
01:45:16.500 don't know
01:45:17.320 that even
01:45:18.280 though they sleep,
01:45:19.800 the world
01:45:20.400 is about to wake.
01:45:22.840 Eleven
01:45:24.900 of twelve
01:45:25.740 men
01:45:26.200 sleep
01:45:26.980 beside a hill.
01:45:28.760 One man
01:45:29.380 awake.
01:45:31.480 He couldn't
01:45:32.040 sleep
01:45:32.480 for
01:45:33.660 he knew.
01:45:36.060 He was
01:45:36.720 in a garden
01:45:37.300 in prayer,
01:45:39.560 praying so hard
01:45:40.700 about what he knew
01:45:41.640 was about to come,
01:45:43.240 praying so hard
01:45:44.160 that blood
01:45:44.700 actually dripped
01:45:45.440 from his pores
01:45:46.380 in a place
01:45:47.220 of sweat.
01:45:48.840 Back at the hill
01:45:50.000 when he returned,
01:45:51.280 he begged
01:45:52.320 his friends
01:45:53.060 to wake
01:45:53.820 and pray
01:45:54.840 with him.
01:45:56.320 They didn't
01:45:57.080 know how serious
01:45:58.160 his request
01:45:59.220 really was.
01:46:00.700 They had no idea
01:46:02.020 what was just
01:46:03.160 to come.
01:46:04.680 He pleaded
01:46:05.700 with his friends,
01:46:06.740 why will you not
01:46:07.780 rise and pray
01:46:08.880 with me?
01:46:10.140 He asked this again
01:46:11.400 before returning
01:46:12.300 to the garden
01:46:13.080 alone.
01:46:14.180 He knelt there
01:46:15.360 on rocky soil,
01:46:16.860 his hands
01:46:17.520 clasped,
01:46:18.620 his head bowed.
01:46:19.720 twilight dew
01:46:21.160 draped his neck,
01:46:22.880 the horizon
01:46:23.540 still in black.
01:46:25.960 He prayed,
01:46:27.360 he prayed
01:46:27.940 even harder
01:46:28.680 for the sky
01:46:29.820 would eventually
01:46:30.460 turn purple
01:46:31.460 than light blue
01:46:32.640 and he knew
01:46:34.180 what awaited him.
01:46:36.820 Back to the hill
01:46:38.040 once more,
01:46:39.300 his friends
01:46:39.940 asleep.
01:46:41.120 He begged
01:46:41.740 his friends,
01:46:42.660 rise,
01:46:43.620 rise and pray
01:46:44.640 with me.
01:46:45.460 I need you
01:46:46.080 now more
01:46:46.700 than ever.
01:46:48.060 They said
01:46:48.580 they would
01:46:49.100 but shortly
01:46:50.340 after he left
01:46:51.280 they fell asleep
01:46:52.540 again.
01:46:54.340 The dawn
01:46:54.900 was even closer
01:46:55.960 and he knew
01:46:57.780 his time
01:46:58.880 was running out.
01:47:01.460 Now over the hill
01:47:02.960 they marched
01:47:04.260 like flowing lava
01:47:05.680 burning in the night's
01:47:06.840 solace.
01:47:08.140 The eleven
01:47:09.140 are surely awake
01:47:10.280 now.
01:47:11.320 They have sworn
01:47:11.940 their faith to him
01:47:13.000 but he knows,
01:47:14.980 he knew
01:47:15.540 this wasn't true.
01:47:17.720 They'll weaken
01:47:18.320 and he'll be
01:47:19.520 forsaken.
01:47:20.900 Forsaken
01:47:21.400 by the same men
01:47:22.580 who just swore
01:47:23.420 their undying
01:47:24.180 devotion.
01:47:25.740 The torchlights
01:47:26.500 grow brighter,
01:47:27.780 the hourglass
01:47:28.640 running low,
01:47:30.020 the clanging
01:47:30.580 of the metal
01:47:31.160 swords and spears,
01:47:32.860 the sound
01:47:33.500 and the vibration
01:47:34.240 of the march
01:47:34.940 deep down
01:47:35.860 from their feet
01:47:36.600 to their spine
01:47:37.460 creating a shallow
01:47:38.820 vibration
01:47:39.480 leaving them
01:47:40.580 quivering.
01:47:42.080 The soldiers
01:47:42.860 approach.
01:47:43.540 the one
01:47:46.420 is grabbed
01:47:47.540 and kissed.
01:47:50.060 Betrayed
01:47:50.780 with a kiss.
01:47:52.800 A kiss
01:47:53.520 wearing the mask
01:47:54.880 of loyalty.
01:47:57.060 One of the men
01:47:57.900 leap forward,
01:47:59.160 draws his sword
01:47:59.980 cutting the ear
01:48:00.740 off one of the soldiers.
01:48:02.420 He raises his hand.
01:48:04.420 No.
01:48:05.900 Peace.
01:48:07.440 Take me now
01:48:08.400 in peace.
01:48:10.040 For this
01:48:10.720 is my purpose.
01:48:11.820 this is my being.
01:48:15.200 This
01:48:15.580 is the reason
01:48:16.940 I came.
01:48:19.840 Now
01:48:20.440 one of them,
01:48:21.940 Peter,
01:48:22.900 strays.
01:48:24.440 While his friend
01:48:25.420 is being persecuted
01:48:26.400 for crimes
01:48:27.420 he didn't commit,
01:48:29.020 he stands
01:48:29.600 by a fire,
01:48:30.980 denying any
01:48:31.760 relationship
01:48:32.360 he has
01:48:33.100 as he tries
01:48:34.000 to blend in
01:48:34.800 with the common people.
01:48:36.700 A woman
01:48:37.140 approaches.
01:48:38.580 Didn't I see
01:48:39.500 you with him?
01:48:40.160 Peter says,
01:48:41.760 Surely I don't
01:48:42.540 know him,
01:48:43.280 but you're
01:48:43.740 from Galilee.
01:48:44.480 For the third
01:48:45.460 time,
01:48:46.080 Peter says,
01:48:47.180 I do not
01:48:47.880 know this man.
01:48:49.580 Now
01:48:49.900 Jesus is
01:48:50.620 pulled back
01:48:51.260 and forth
01:48:51.780 between the two
01:48:52.780 who will
01:48:53.220 determine his fate.
01:48:54.880 They can't
01:48:55.760 see any crime,
01:48:57.460 but they still
01:48:58.840 question,
01:49:00.120 scourge,
01:49:00.880 and mock him.
01:49:03.040 Aren't you
01:49:03.780 the king?
01:49:06.000 Silence.
01:49:06.640 Then here
01:49:08.420 is your crown,
01:49:09.920 says one
01:49:10.720 as they give him
01:49:11.480 a crown of thorns
01:49:12.660 and press it
01:49:13.580 into his head.
01:49:15.460 He stands
01:49:16.260 before the judge
01:49:17.220 who could
01:49:18.240 condemn him
01:49:18.920 for no crime,
01:49:20.320 but it is
01:49:21.160 Passover.
01:49:22.880 He says
01:49:23.380 to the crowd,
01:49:24.540 You,
01:49:25.200 you can choose.
01:49:26.920 One I will
01:49:27.920 release.
01:49:29.360 Him as the
01:49:30.260 king of the
01:49:30.900 Jews,
01:49:31.860 or
01:49:32.320 Jesus
01:49:33.800 standing silent,
01:49:35.880 his eyes
01:49:36.480 to the ground,
01:49:38.140 is condemned
01:49:38.840 to death.
01:49:41.460 Jesus
01:49:42.140 now carries
01:49:42.920 his cross
01:49:43.580 through the
01:49:44.000 stone-clad
01:49:44.880 streets
01:49:45.380 to the place
01:49:46.140 known as
01:49:47.400 the Skull,
01:49:49.040 the place
01:49:49.820 where he will
01:49:50.820 soon die,
01:49:52.620 his back
01:49:53.220 torn,
01:49:54.140 his head
01:49:54.580 bleeding
01:49:55.040 beneath his
01:49:55.820 thorny crown.
01:49:57.420 The women
01:49:57.920 cry out loud
01:49:58.800 as he passes.
01:50:00.520 He pauses
01:50:01.160 for a moment,
01:50:02.320 and comforts
01:50:03.260 them.
01:50:04.720 Do not
01:50:05.200 weep for me.
01:50:07.060 Rather,
01:50:08.260 weep for
01:50:09.000 yourselves.
01:50:11.000 His mother
01:50:12.040 looks on
01:50:13.120 as huge
01:50:13.760 nails are
01:50:14.480 driven through
01:50:15.180 his hands
01:50:15.820 and his feet.
01:50:17.200 They raise
01:50:17.760 the cross
01:50:18.380 and slam
01:50:19.120 it into the
01:50:19.640 ground.
01:50:21.340 It is at
01:50:21.860 this point
01:50:22.460 that all
01:50:23.260 four writers
01:50:23.900 of the
01:50:24.360 gospel
01:50:24.760 struggled
01:50:25.380 with a
01:50:26.140 description
01:50:26.580 of the
01:50:26.980 crucifixion,
01:50:28.560 as I have.
01:50:31.260 They
01:50:31.640 described
01:50:32.200 with the
01:50:32.520 only words
01:50:33.360 that I
01:50:34.340 could use.
01:50:36.460 And
01:50:37.100 they
01:50:38.360 crucified
01:50:38.960 him.
01:50:41.020 He now
01:50:41.980 hung on
01:50:42.460 the cross
01:50:43.000 as the
01:50:44.000 soldiers
01:50:44.640 bid lots
01:50:45.460 on his
01:50:45.840 clothing
01:50:46.280 below.
01:50:47.760 Next
01:50:48.000 to him,
01:50:49.060 two criminals
01:50:49.780 hang,
01:50:51.220 but they
01:50:51.780 are simply
01:50:52.420 tied to
01:50:53.100 the cross.
01:50:54.580 One of
01:50:55.100 them says,
01:50:56.100 You're the
01:50:56.540 son of
01:50:57.020 God.
01:50:57.580 Save us
01:50:58.020 now.
01:50:58.740 Save all
01:50:59.220 of us.
01:51:00.620 The man
01:51:01.200 in the
01:51:01.460 middle
01:51:01.700 does
01:51:02.560 nothing,
01:51:03.840 for he
01:51:04.840 had a
01:51:05.960 purpose.
01:51:07.780 The
01:51:08.280 afternoon
01:51:08.800 passes.
01:51:10.460 His skin
01:51:11.100 stretched.
01:51:12.520 He wept.
01:51:13.800 He begged
01:51:14.360 for water,
01:51:15.240 and they
01:51:15.460 gave him
01:51:15.840 a sponge
01:51:16.480 on a
01:51:16.840 reed
01:51:17.180 filled
01:51:17.560 with
01:51:17.820 vinegar.
01:51:19.680 In a
01:51:20.020 moment
01:51:20.280 where he
01:51:21.540 showed us
01:51:21.980 that he
01:51:22.260 was truly
01:51:23.080 human,
01:51:24.580 he cried
01:51:25.260 out and
01:51:25.820 said,
01:51:27.060 My
01:51:27.320 father,
01:51:28.700 my
01:51:29.300 father,
01:51:29.900 why have
01:51:30.440 you forsaken
01:51:31.160 me?
01:51:33.860 The sky
01:51:34.720 began to
01:51:35.380 grow dark.
01:51:37.000 It was
01:51:37.360 approaching
01:51:37.840 three o'clock
01:51:39.180 on a
01:51:40.500 Friday afternoon
01:51:41.480 when Jesus,
01:51:44.520 the carpenter
01:51:45.240 from Nazareth,
01:51:47.120 spoke once
01:51:47.800 more
01:51:48.220 and only
01:51:49.820 once.
01:51:51.900 His last
01:51:52.620 words,
01:51:53.120 it
01:51:54.880 is
01:51:56.520 finished.
01:51:59.200 So today,
01:52:01.440 people all
01:52:02.380 over the
01:52:02.740 world
01:52:03.140 do
01:52:04.340 as I
01:52:05.400 do now.
01:52:07.300 I thank
01:52:08.620 that lone
01:52:09.300 carpenter
01:52:09.860 for dying,
01:52:12.940 dying
01:52:13.660 on that
01:52:14.380 Friday
01:52:14.720 afternoon
01:52:15.380 so I
01:52:17.360 may
01:52:18.740 live.
01:52:23.120 glenn,
01:52:38.160 beck,
01:52:39.040 mercury.
01:52:39.700 rain.
