The Golden One - Never Thought I'd See the Day!

00:00:00.000 Greetings to surpriseflex. I thought that people checked into my channel to partake in some of my ultimate wisdom and my insights, but it's actually because of the surpriseflexes that's why I brought them back to grow even further here on YouTube.

00:00:23.000 So anyway, I have a fun thing I want to share with you. Something I didn't think would appear at all, but it has appeared. I will show it to you now, what sort of fun thing this is.

00:00:38.740 Behold. YouTube silver play button. This will be the thumbnail of the video, by the way. So I flex my arm additionally. But I've already used up all of my narcissism points for the month, so I won't do any more flexes. Don't worry.

00:00:59.740 So anyway, it took a bit of back and forth to get this, but if you have reached 100,000 subscribers with original content, which I have, you are deserving of it.

00:01:11.760 So yeah, they gifted it to me, and yeah, thank you. It's truly heartfelt. I also got a little letter. Now, obviously, this isn't specific to me, but I thought it was quite nice anyway, so I will just read it out to you and comment a bit on it.

00:01:30.560 You've just done something that very few YouTube creators accomplish. You've had an astonishing 100,000 people subscribe to your channel.

00:01:40.440 We know that numbers on YouTube can get really big, but we hope that you don't lose sight of the reality behind that six-digit milestone.

00:01:49.160 Each and every person who has subscribed to your channel has been touched by what you've created. They were inspired, challenged, or entertained.

00:01:57.420 Now, a note here. Since we are on YouTube, you need to entertain, otherwise people won't watch your content, but I've never been out to primarily entertain.

00:02:08.700 The entertainment part is just for a way to distribute some wisdom, so I'm here to inspire you and challenge you.

00:02:17.880 That's why I do the Wild Hunt challenges, for example. Next one coming out in January, by the way, will be an epic one.

00:02:24.720 Then, of course, I also want to inspire you, so you can watch my training videos before hitting the gym, for example, or you can watch my Games Kitchen to up your diet game, etc.

00:02:36.460 Then, of course, if I can be entertaining as well with surprise flexes and the semi-obnoxious narcissism, that's all good, but it's part of delivering a message of enlightenment and wisdom.

00:02:54.240 Moving on.

00:02:56.240 You've achieved this milestone with hard work, perseverance, and probably a healthy sense of humor, too.

00:03:02.920 What you've accomplished can't be taken away from you and would like to recognize you and all of your hard work with this Silver Creator Award.

00:03:10.380 A small token of esteem and respect.

00:03:12.780 Now, this actually, yeah, it hit right in the heart.

00:03:18.400 It has been a lot of hard work.

00:03:20.560 It has been a lot of perseverance.

00:03:22.620 And when I say YouTube is very hard work, I mean it.

00:03:26.680 It's not tough work in the sense that you have a fisherman out on the Atlantic Ocean during a storm.

00:03:33.300 It's not tough in that sense, but it's very hard work nonetheless.

00:03:38.020 Because you need to be on top of your game all the time.

00:03:42.360 Otherwise, you won't grow.

00:03:44.120 People won't watch your content.

00:03:45.680 So, it is a, if we're talking about sort of like a free market style economy, you need to be very good and you can't afford to make mistakes.

00:03:57.500 And this is especially true for me.

00:03:59.160 The path that I have chosen, I've never been given the benefit or the doubt or anything of the sort.

00:04:05.360 I need to stay on top of my game.

00:04:07.220 So, it is hard work.

00:04:08.520 I don't want anyone to think that just having a YouTube channel and being in front of the camera is easy.

00:04:14.160 It's not easy in the least.

00:04:16.220 If it was easy, more people would do it.

00:04:18.100 So, yeah, it is a lot of hard work.

00:04:19.900 It is a lot of perseverance, discipline.

00:04:24.100 But for me, when I say it's hard work, it's still a luxury.

00:04:27.020 Because if you have a creative side, such as I do, it's a luxury to be able to share it with others and maybe inspire people, etc.

00:04:35.740 So, it's hard work, but it's also a luxury and very rewarding.

00:04:40.800 But it's not easy.

00:04:42.040 Getting here was not easy in the least.

00:04:44.540 It was hard, but also very rewarding.

00:04:47.520 So, I'm not saying this as I want sympathy.

00:04:50.740 I want understanding that it's hard.

00:04:53.240 But it's also a true luxury to be able to do these sort of things.

00:04:58.700 Now, moving on with the letter.

00:05:01.480 Well, not entirely true.

00:05:07.900 Of course, you do everything for a watch.

00:05:09.660 And for me, it's absolutely amazing when people come up to me and, you know, they have some good gains on their shoulders when I touch them.

00:05:17.040 And they say, you know what, I have gotten a girlfriend or I have stopped watching porn or I have started going to the gym or I got into an education I wanted or I signed up in the army because you recommend.

00:05:28.140 And, I mean, these are the sort of rewards that are good.

00:05:31.820 So, yes, I do it for the rewards as well.

00:05:34.480 But there's nothing wrong with that.

00:05:35.860 I mean, I do the videos to get the desired result.

00:05:39.780 I don't just want you to passively watch the channel.

00:05:42.140 I want you to take my wisdom and then apply it in your life.

00:05:45.780 That's why I do the videos.

00:05:47.420 If you're just watching because it's fun when I flex or something, that's not really the point of it.

00:05:53.340 It's for you to take action in your life to better yourself.

00:05:57.400 So, that's a reward.

00:06:01.000 Anyway, you do it because you have a drive to create and share and because you've found an audience who cares.

00:06:07.900 That is actually quite true.

00:06:09.640 I do have a drive to create.

00:06:11.660 I absolutely love creating these videos.

00:06:14.760 Perhaps not just, you know, standard videos like this.

00:06:17.160 But if I have a cool idea for a training video such as the quest for Atlantis, that was really fun to make because I had, you know, a clear vision in my mind.

00:06:26.200 What sort of video do I want to make?

00:06:27.880 What sort of aesthetics do I want to present?

00:06:30.880 What sort of feel do I want to invoke in the people watching this?

00:06:35.640 It was the feel of, you know, getting out, getting out in the sun, getting out on to the sea, whether it is the ocean or a lake or whatever it might be.

00:06:45.600 So, when I create something like that, it's, yeah, it's very nice for me to and to be able to share it as well and hopefully inspire people.

00:06:54.240 So, that is true.

00:06:56.200 And I've found an audience who cares.

00:06:57.980 Because, yeah, then again, I will be completely honest, I don't have 100,000 people who care.

00:07:03.540 I have maybe a maximum 10,000 people who cares or 5,000 or something.

00:07:09.580 But no YouTuber should ever think that their entire subscriber base actually cares because that's not true.

00:07:16.700 You have a lot of people who just watch some of the videos and then you have some who watch us all, of course.

00:07:21.940 Shout out to you all who are watching everything I do.

00:07:24.720 Anyway, believe us when we say we can't wait to see what you do next.

00:07:34.160 Okay, a million subscribers may seem a long way off right now, but you're closer than you think and we're rooting for you.

00:07:42.400 Congratulations.

00:07:43.580 Yours sincerely, Susan Voikiki, CEO, YouTube.

00:07:48.380 Doubt.

00:07:49.420 Allow me to express my doubt at that statement.

00:07:54.400 I don't really know if you're rooting for me.

00:07:57.440 I hope there are some in YouTube who are rooting for me.

00:08:00.400 But if you were sincere with that statement, you would first and foremost remove any and all shadow bans you have upon me.

00:08:07.200 Because I've noticed my reach over the last year hasn't really been what it should have been.

00:08:12.140 Secondly, of course, you can re-monetize my channel.

00:08:15.760 And now I have had a long back and forth with people on YouTube and I've asked, not exaggerating, but maybe five times, exactly when and where have I broken any community guidelines.

00:08:28.200 Because they said, you know what, you got demonetized because you spread harmful or hateful material, which I haven't done.

00:08:38.500 It's simply a lie.

00:08:39.640 If you say that you are a liar and I've called you out on it, I've said, you know, point exactly to where I have said anything hateful or harmful.

00:08:47.800 In fact, all of my videos is about self-love, if anything, and about healthy behaviors.

00:08:54.260 I've never said anything harmful.

00:08:56.040 That's the opposite of my teachings.

00:08:58.720 But anyway, I hope you will, someone at YouTube, can just take a look at the channel and say, you know what, is this true?

00:09:04.940 What they demonetized him for?

00:09:07.240 Is it hateful or harmful?

00:09:08.660 Well, no, it's absolutely not.

00:09:11.000 And yeah, it's a sheer lie.

00:09:13.180 It's a pure lie.

00:09:15.060 But anyway, it would be nice if you rooted for me.

00:09:19.180 Then I am sure I could hit a million subscribers.

00:09:22.100 But if you're not rooting for me, if you're not taking away the demonetization, if you're not taking away the shadow ban, it might be a bit hard.

00:09:30.840 But I will continue to spread the good word of enlightenment anyway and just try to get people to, well, live better lives, basically.

00:09:40.200 That's the reward, as we talked about a minute ago, the reward of creating something and aspiring people to do stuff.

00:09:47.500 So anyway, I talked about reaching this milestone a while back when I just hit it, but it feels more real in a way now.

00:09:56.800 So I thought to briefly elaborate upon it again and, you know, I can share some wisdom as well because, as I mentioned, this channel is about spreading wisdom.

00:10:08.800 So whichever video I do, it might be a random forest video log, it might be a game's kitchen, it might be a let's play even.

00:10:16.720 I always try to share some insights, at least.

00:10:19.860 And this also goes into what I say with YouTube being hard work.

00:10:23.180 Like, you have to stay updated, you have to be, you have to have a lot of wisdom to share.

00:10:30.180 Otherwise, it's pointless if you're just getting attention for the sake of attention.

00:10:34.040 I have gotten attention enough for a lifetime, so now it's about what I do with the attention.

00:10:39.240 Do I just want it to have people look at me and be relevant?

00:10:43.680 No, I don't really care about that anymore.

00:10:45.900 Now I want attention in order to bring out a good message.

00:10:49.500 So if I make a click-baity video, I do it because I have something important to say.

00:10:54.580 So I don't want attention for the sake of attention.

00:10:57.340 I want attention to, yeah, if I have some good insights to share.

00:11:02.640 But anyway, if you are a YouTube creator or if you are any sort of similar thing, I want to give you some advice now.

00:11:11.220 And that is, you don't need to make all the mistakes yourself.

00:11:15.200 You can look to others.

00:11:17.480 I, unfortunately, I didn't really have anyone to look up to when I started.

00:11:21.380 I didn't have anyone to take a good example from.

00:11:24.700 And I've posted a lot of cringe over the years.

00:11:28.440 A lot of cringe has been posted, unfortunately.

00:11:32.040 If I look back at some older videos, I, yeah, I'm not quite happy with how I conducted myself.

00:11:37.940 Not primarily anything I said, but it was more how I presented it and how I said it.

00:11:43.440 And, yeah, you know how it is.

00:11:45.740 But it is what it is.

00:11:47.560 It's a learning process.

00:11:49.100 And I'm very thankful for YouTube for, you know, having that sense of accountability.

00:11:53.740 So, if you look on my everything, if I look back at the very oldest videos I made, I don't have them up now because they're so bad.

00:12:04.540 But just the language, my English was horrific.

00:12:08.800 I still have the Swedish accent, of course.

00:12:12.560 It will stay with me, but it was quite, quite bad, to say the least, in the beginning.

00:12:18.420 And I used to get called out on it as well.

00:12:20.320 You know what, you shouldn't speak English because it's so horrible, etc.

00:12:23.880 So, I had to just, you know, take that criticism for what it was, try to better it.

00:12:29.940 Same thing with everything.

00:12:31.740 You know, we can talk about such a thing as audio.

00:12:33.940 I know all podcasters and YouTubers are obsessed with audio.

00:12:37.920 I've also been obsessed with it.

00:12:40.000 But, you know, you take these sort of things and try to optimize it because, as I said a minute ago, you can't really, you need to stay on top of everything.

00:12:47.920 There is no time and place to not be into self-improvement.

00:12:53.420 YouTube is basically self-improvement.

00:12:55.440 You have to be better all the time.

00:12:57.920 You need to stay on top of your game.

00:12:59.540 I need to be on top of my mental game.

00:13:03.600 I need to have a healthy diet.

00:13:05.420 But, well, big shout out to my wife as well, who is now my dietician. 0.95

00:13:10.640 She makes great food for me and takes great care of me. 0.63

00:13:14.640 So, I have to think about all of these different things.

00:13:18.000 I can't not train hard because if I don't train hard, why would anyone listen to me if I say that you should train hard?

00:13:24.720 Why would you listen to me to have a clean diet if I wouldn't have a clean diet?

00:13:28.560 So, for me, being accountable because I have so many eyes upon me, yeah, it's a luxury.

00:13:33.760 It might be hard, but it's also something good that you have that responsibility.

00:13:38.620 And that's also something I encourage everyone.

00:13:40.520 Take as much responsibility for as many things as you possibly can.

00:13:44.700 First and foremost, for yourself.

00:13:46.240 Because if you don't live in accord with your own ideals, why should anyone else listen to you?

00:13:51.680 So, for me, it has been a long self-improvement journey and I'm very thankful, well, for YouTube.

00:13:58.360 Even though I've had my issues with YouTube over the last year, I'm still thankful for having gotten this opportunity to just, you know, develop myself, being able to share and create so many good things.

00:14:11.000 So, yeah, good times, good times.

00:14:14.080 And, yeah, thank you for watching and listening to this perhaps incoherent rant, but I just wanted to share my joy with you.

00:14:24.300 So, anyway, if you haven't already subscribed, you can do so.

00:14:28.940 If you haven't smashed the notification button, please do it also so you see every time I upload.

00:14:34.340 And, yeah, I try to do some gaming videos because I know there are guys who perhaps are in a bad situation mentally.

00:14:43.100 They just want to hear my voice, perhaps not my voice per se, but a familiar voice to just having a background or something or to watch, etc.

00:14:52.140 So, I make a lot of let's plays for those guys or just the ones who want the company.

00:14:57.120 Anyway, then, of course, the more heavy, hard-hitting regular videos, the forest video logs also with important knowledge.

00:15:06.140 So, anyway, I will hit the gym or cuddle a bit with my daughter, the Princess of Ultimate Cuddles is her title. 1.00

00:15:16.940 So, anyway, thank you for watching and thank you again for all your support over all these years.

00:15:21.820 XXO, boo! 0.56

00:15:27.120 I'll see you next time.
