The Great America Show - BIDEN CAN’T SAY NO TO CHINA

00:00:00.000 Hello, everybody. I'm Lou Dobbs, and welcome to The Great America Show. Good to have you

00:00:08.160 with us. Special Counsel John Durham spent almost six hours on Capitol Hill yesterday

00:00:14.200 testifying before the House Judiciary Committee, taking questions from Republicans and Democrats,

00:00:20.900 including that own pathological liar, screenwriter, and Senate hopeful Congressman Adam Schiff.

00:00:26.880 Schiff, who aspired to be a screenwriter in Hollywood, has since 2017 run with the narrative

00:00:33.660 that President Trump colluded with Russia, even promising for two years that he had seen the

00:00:39.320 evidence, even though President Trump has been fully exonerated. Here is Schiff back in 2017 on

00:00:46.820 MSNBC with Chuck Todd. All you have right now is a circumstantial case. Actually, no, Chuck. I can

00:00:56.200 tell you that the case is more than that. And I can't go into the particulars, but there is more

00:01:01.480 than circumstantial evidence now. So again, I think you have seen direct evidence of collusion.

00:01:08.820 I don't want to go into specifics, but I will say that there is evidence that is not circumstantial

00:01:13.980 and and is very much worthy of investigation. So that is what we ought to do.

00:01:20.580 It turns out Schiff knew back then there was no such thing as Russian collusion,

00:01:25.600 but still to this day insists there was. Here is Schiff yesterday in his exchange with John Durham.

00:01:33.120 The Don Jr. was informed that a Russian official was offering the Trump campaign, quote,

00:01:38.360 very high level and sensitive information, unquote, that would be incriminating of Hillary Clinton was

00:01:43.940 part of, quote, Russia and its government support of Mr. Trump. You aware of that?

00:01:48.720 Sure. People get phone calls all the time from individuals who claim to have information like

00:01:53.480 that. Really, the son of a presidential candidate gets calls all the time from a foreign government

00:01:58.620 offering dirt on their important opponent. Is that what you're saying?

00:02:01.520 I don't think this is unique in your experience.

00:02:04.320 So you you have other instances of the Russian government offering dirt on a presidential candidate

00:02:10.760 to the presidential candidate's son. Is that what you're saying?

00:02:13.160 Would you repeat the question? You said that it's not uncommon to get offers of help from a hostile

00:02:20.320 foreign government in a presidential campaign directed at the president's son. You really stand

00:02:25.040 by that, Mr. Durham, saying that it that people can make phone calls making claims all the time

00:02:31.020 that you may have. Are you really trying to diminish the significance of what happened here

00:02:35.600 and the secret meeting that the president's son set up in Trump Tower to receive that incriminating

00:02:41.960 information, trying to diminish the significance of that, Mr. Durham?

00:02:45.420 I'm not trying to diminish it at all. But I think the more complete story is that they met

00:02:48.780 and it was a ruse and they didn't talk about Mrs. Clinton.

00:02:51.100 And and you think it's insignificant that he had a secret meeting with the Russian delegation

00:02:56.620 for the purpose of getting dirt on Hillary Clinton. And the only disappointment to express

00:03:03.200 the meeting was that the dirt they got wasn't better. You don't think that's significant?

00:03:06.600 I don't think that that was a well-advised thing to do.

00:03:09.840 Oh, oh, not not well advised.

00:03:12.920 All right.

00:03:13.360 Well, that's that's the understatement of the year.

00:03:15.820 So you think it's perfectly appropriate or or maybe just ill-advised for a presidential

00:03:21.620 campaign to secretly meet with a Russian delegation to get dirt on their opponent?

00:03:26.260 You would merely say that's inadvisable?

00:03:28.880 Yeah, if you're asking me would I do it, I hope I wouldn't do it.

00:03:31.620 But it was not illegal. It was as stupid, foolish, ill-advised. 1.00

00:03:36.940 Well, it is illegal to conspire to get incriminating opposition research from a hostile government 1.00

00:03:43.520 that is of financial value to a campaign. Wouldn't that violate campaign laws?

00:03:48.160 I don't know. I don't know all those facts to be true.

00:03:51.280 And that brings us to the Great America Show Quote of the Day from writer and Nobel Prize winner

00:03:56.480 John Steinbeck. He said, quote, power does not corrupt. Fear corrupts. Perhaps the fear of a loss

00:04:05.920 of power, end quote. Schiff also fears a censure vote in the House, which could be coming any day.

00:04:14.080 Also representative of the Marxist Dems, Congressman Mike Johnson of Louisiana.

00:04:20.040 Johnson asked Durham, did the Trump campaign collude with Russia?

00:04:24.920 You wrote in your report, quote, based on the evidence gathered in the multiple exhaustive

00:04:29.420 and costly federal investigations of these matters, including the instant investigation,

00:04:33.420 neither U.S. law enforcement nor the intelligence community appears to have possessed any actual

00:04:38.500 evidence of collusion in their holdings at the commencement of the crossfire investigation.

00:04:43.520 To date, has any evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia ever been uncovered?

00:04:49.080 I mean, there is there is information, obviously, in the report that was prepared by Director

00:04:53.540 Mueller and whatnot. But as to collusion or conspiracy, I'm not aware of any.

00:04:59.840 And let me stop you. When the FBI opened Crossfire Hurricane, that's the issue at hand,

00:05:05.120 it did not have any information that anyone in the Trump campaign had ever been in contact with Russian

00:05:09.860 intelligence officials. Isn't that right?

00:05:11.620 As we wrote in as we wrote in the report, we talked to the director of the CIA, the deputy director

00:05:18.200 of the CIA, the director of NSA, and people within the FBI. And there was no such information that they had

00:05:26.220 in their holdings at the time they opened Crossfire Hurricane.

00:05:28.820 The Marxist Dems and Deep State have politically persecuted President Trump since 2016, and they're

00:05:35.020 still at it. And weak-kneed Republicans have done nothing to stop the madness. Meanwhile, Hunter Biden

00:05:41.600 avoiding jail time this week, settling tax fraud and gun charges that would have carried three years

00:05:47.460 in jail for most anyone, not named Biden. Joe and Jill Biden released the following statement yesterday

00:05:54.860 through the White House spokesman Ian Sams, saying, quote, the president and first lady love their son

00:06:01.960 and support him as he continues to rebuild his life. We'll have no further comment, end quote.

00:06:08.640 And joining us now with comment is Senator Marsha Blackburn, who's not pleased with the Biden

00:06:15.440 regime's conduct. Senator, great to have you with us. Let's start with, if we may, the Hunter Biden

00:06:21.240 sweetheart deal, as you described it in your remarks in the Senate. Your thoughts about that DOJ deal.

00:06:28.920 What this does, it's kind of like throwing fuel on the fire. I have talked to so many Tennesseans,

00:06:36.040 Lou, that say, look, there's just two tiers of justice. And there are people that are beginning

00:06:43.040 to come out that are talking about people that have the same firearms charge, and they're in prison.

00:06:50.260 And Hunter Biden gets a slap on the rest. No jail time, no penalties. It's just saying,

00:06:58.260 basically, you're guilty of this. You've pled guilty of this, and you're absolved of the matter.

00:07:05.380 And people really do see this as two tiers of justice. It is frustrating to them.

00:07:12.340 They want equal treatment, equal justice, equal access. And when you have President Trump being

00:07:21.060 treated in the manner he is being treated, and Hillary Clinton treated one way, and private

00:07:27.900 citizens one way, and Hunter Biden another way, over similarly situated instances, it just really

00:07:36.800 angers people. And there's really not much that can be done about it right now by the Senate,

00:07:43.660 by the House, is there? The House will be able to take some action. They will continue the

00:07:50.200 investigation into Hunter Biden, and Biden incorporated with the family the alleged bribes.

00:07:58.380 And that scheme, I think with the Durham report coming out, you're probably going to see something

00:08:04.680 else focus on Hillary Clinton, and how they went about paying for Russia collusion. That was done by 0.85

00:08:13.960 her campaign. And that wouldn't surprise me to see every bit of this take place, because people are

00:08:21.880 just incensed. And, Lou, the thing is, it's not just Republicans. I'm hearing from a lot of libertarians.

00:08:29.560 I'm hearing from Democrats that are just saying, hey, wait a minute. This is a bit too much. And as one

00:08:37.020 Democrat told me, he said, look, you know, I voted for Joe Biden. I supported him. I supported Hillary

00:08:42.700 Clinton. But he had read the Durham report. And he said, you know, if I were in Donald Trump's shoes,

00:08:49.420 and for six years, every day, I was hearing how I had done all these things that were so terrible. He

00:08:57.700 said, I wonder how I would have acted, and how I would have responded, and the impact that that would

00:09:04.100 have had on me personally, and on my family. And he said, you know, that was something that he had

00:09:11.220 thought a lot about, because he had been very harsh with Donald Trump, because he had believed

00:09:17.860 that Russia collusion was true. And then he found out it was indeed false.

00:09:24.100 Yeah, it's an extraordinary moment. The Senate Judiciary Committee, the hearings, and I want to

00:09:32.180 compliment you, if I may. Your direct questioning of FBI Deputy Director Paul Abade was stringent and

00:09:42.580 powerful, and we appreciate it. His responses were a disgrace, in my opinion, as you pointed out to him

00:09:50.980 in your own very kind and polite way. It's just, to see such arrogance on the part of public servants

00:10:01.300 in the federal government, it's just disgusting, isn't it? 0.99

00:10:04.820 It is disgusting. And the FBI has many people who are just such credible, trustworthy, 0.62

00:10:16.420 wonderful servants, public servants of this country. They work every day to uphold the Constitution

00:10:24.900 and the rule of law. And then to have that work tainted by this political cabal that has sprung up

00:10:33.380 within the DOJ and the FBI. And people who think they can use their position and their power

00:10:40.100 to help their friends and to hurt their enemies and to further the cause of the Democratic Party's agenda

00:10:48.900 and to push forward their candidates. And it is something that just incenses people. As somebody

00:10:56.420 at church this weekend said to me, who do these people think pays their salary? Yeah, which is really

00:11:02.740 true. You know, it's the taxpayer. And the taxpayer expects them to be fair. The taxpayer does not want

00:11:11.700 them to put their hands on the scale of justice. But at the same time, we're all getting quite used to

00:11:18.020 the FBI's arrogance and its indifference to what was once customary integrity and the stuff of legend,

00:11:25.300 really. The FBI and the leadership, the leadership from top to bottom is rancid with corruption,

00:11:33.140 political corruption, without a doubt. I find it hard to believe that the FBI is even if we're even

00:11:42.580 capable of rehabilitating the agency. Your thoughts on that? I do believe that we can rehabilitate the

00:11:49.780 agency. But I do believe it is going to take a Republican president with a very strong vice president

00:11:58.020 who looks at these issues and looks at these agencies, whether it's the IRS or the DOJ or the

00:12:05.540 FBI or the EPA or the Department of Education and says it is time to overhaul the federal government. It is

00:12:14.740 time that we reshape these departments. It is time that we look at civil service and the number of

00:12:23.300 jobs that are needed and how we're going to use technology. And I think it would be a very good

00:12:29.780 thing if the legislation I filed last Congress and still have that we begin to move these federal agencies 0.93

00:12:38.340 outside of Washington, D.C. and place them closer to the people that they are there to serve.

00:12:46.740 You know, I think that is a brilliant idea and a concept that every Republican should get behind.

00:12:53.380 I couldn't agree with you more. We're talking with Senator Marsha Blackburn.

00:12:57.860 We're going to continue our conversation in just moments right after these quick words from

00:13:02.500 our sponsors. We'll be right back. Stay with us. We're back now talking with Senator Marsha Blackburn.

00:13:13.620 Senator, I would like to turn, if we may, to foreign policy. Antony Blinken, our Secretary of State,

00:13:20.020 failing even to restart U.S.-China military to military communications during his trip.

00:13:26.180 He basically looked like he was taking orders from the CCP, getting his orders to take back to

00:13:34.100 Washington. Your thoughts on the trip and what was not accomplished and what should be?

00:13:39.780 You mentioned the military to military conversations, and the Chinese have chosen not to restart that

00:13:47.540 because they are intent on global domination by the time we get to 2050. They are very aggressively

00:13:56.420 building their navy. They have just entered into this agreement with Cuba. And of course, a naval port is

00:14:06.500 going to find its way there on Cuba's shores. And this is something that is not good for us. So you've got the

00:14:15.860 spy balloon. You've got the Cuba spy station that is there. You've got the Cubans doing a training facility 0.96

00:14:25.060 with the Chinese right there. And Antony Blinken says nothing about this. And he comes away without any 0.74

00:14:35.700 admission of guilt from the Chinese. And then he acquiesces and stumbles and fumbles on how the U.S. looks at 0.97

00:14:45.940 one China policy in Taiwan. And basically dusts his hands off, throws them up in the air and says,

00:14:57.780 we support one China policy. We support one China. And I think, how is this received by Taiwan? Is they

00:15:07.940 really want to be recognized as independent and sovereign? And we all know Taiwan declared their

00:15:15.860 independence. They have an Independence Day. They have a president. They have a parliament. They

00:15:21.460 have a military. They do their own trade deals. They do not want to be overtaken and overrun by China. But the

00:15:29.620 CCP is intent not only on taking Taiwan, but all of the Pacific Island nations. They're intent on continuing 0.98

00:15:39.860 to bully the Philippines and to push against New Zealand and Australia. This is all part of their 1.00

00:15:49.460 game plan. They like branching out to the Horn of Africa and to Djibouti, where, by the way,

00:15:56.260 they have. They went in to help increase capacity at their port so that they could import goods to the

00:16:04.900 Djiboutans. And next thing you know, they had a naval base in that port. So you see how they move,

00:16:13.700 not only in their region, but how they're branching out. And now we see they're doing this with Cuba. So

00:16:20.100 Blinken is just he came away basically with nothing except he was successful in displaying the weakness of Joe

00:16:32.020 Biden in this administration. And glaringly so. Secretary Blinken saying point blank that the United States no

00:16:41.140 longer will support independence for Taiwan, reversing what President Biden had said only nine months ago,

00:16:49.060 that we would defend Taiwan. Where what must the Taiwanese think? What are all our allies thinking

00:16:56.660 at this very moment? If I were one of our allies, I would be thinking, who is really calling the shots

00:17:04.740 there? Because the president not once but twice in the recent past has said that we would defend and stand with Taiwan.

00:17:17.300 And you must have the Taiwanese and others of our allies looking at what happened in Afghanistan and wondering

00:17:27.060 who we do consider to be an adversary and who we consider to be an ally. And they're probably looking

00:17:33.620 at this nefarious relationship between Russia, Iran, North Korea and China, what I call the new axis of evil. 0.87

00:17:43.220 And they must be saying, where do we fit in this picture? And if we needed the U.S. to defend us,

00:17:50.020 would they come or would they sit on their hands and do nothing?

00:17:54.660 And in our hemisphere, the Monroe Doctrine, President Obama tried to dismiss it. He did

00:18:03.140 enfeeble the Monroe Doctrine. But now we once again have Havana and Beijing talking about a spy facility.

00:18:13.460 They're negotiating it billions of dollars and the U.S. sovereignty at stake. We're looking at a Cuban 1.00

00:18:20.180 missile crisis all over again. Certainly that's a possibility. Your thoughts?

00:18:24.660 And it comes at the time when the U.S. Coast Guard has just halted their security patrols that they

00:18:35.860 have conducted out of Gitmo there in Cuba. And this has been their longest serving mission. And they

00:18:45.220 ended it on June 13th in case the colors. And it is a tremendous concern to me that just as we halt

00:18:53.700 that mission, that you have the Chinese picking up their pace in Cuba, right there off our shores. 0.95

00:19:02.100 Is that reversible?

00:19:06.580 It is going to take a win for the White House, a win for the U.S. Senate and holding the U.S. House

00:19:13.620 in order to reverse this.

00:19:15.380 Well, we know what we need to do. And we know we've got a great representative and Senator Blackburn to

00:19:23.860 to do just that. Senator, we always appreciate your time and all that you're doing for the Republic.

00:19:29.300 Thanks for being with us here on The Great America Show.

00:19:32.020 You got it. Take care. Bye now.

00:19:34.260 That's all for us today. Our guest here tomorrow will be Republican strategist and pollster John

00:19:39.300 McLaughlin with the latest on the Republican presidential candidates and President Biden's

00:19:45.060 collapse in the polls. Please join us for that. Until then, thanks, everybody.

00:19:50.180 God bless you and may God bless America.
