00:04:36.660 recover as much of those payloads as possible. Well, I expect the Navy to get it pretty efficiently

00:04:45.020 wrapped up given how shallow the water is. I mean, it's under 50 feet. And, you know, I give the Navy

00:04:51.720 credit. They immediately had three very capable ships on site. Now, I don't give the administration

00:05:00.200 credit. Those ships had time to get there because the thing just drifted over the United States for 0.97

00:05:05.200 however, five days. So, and apparently we had way too much heads up. You know, my other point,

00:07:21.180 administration. That also is going to lead to all kinds of questions from a congressional oversight

00:07:26.400 standpoint. As it well should. And to that point, this administration is, to me, the most appalling

00:07:34.840 in this country's history. And I say that straight up, because this president is obviously, every man

00:07:42.320 and woman in this country can stare at the television as long as they want. They, if they deny their eyes, 1.00

00:07:49.520 they'll come to a different conclusion, but he's obviously impaired.

00:09:36.640 balloon and permit a less, a more, a slower descent, if not a controlled descent on the part of the

00:09:43.440 payload. And then they ultimately use a sidewinder missile. I mean, did they brief you on why in the

00:09:52.680 world that reasoning changed? Well, actually, you know, one of my colleagues, Representative August

00:09:58.300 Pflueger was a former F-22 pilot. He's from Texas. And of course, we've been giving them a hard time

00:10:04.040 about, you know, the Air Force high-fiving over shooting down a balloon with a $100 billion per copy

00:10:12.300 advanced stealth fighter jet. But at least, look, I mean, we teased the Air Force. Look, I give them a lot

00:10:18.640 of credit. That actually was a bit of a difficult shot in terms of the calculus because it was at

00:10:25.100 altitude and the balloon was at a much higher altitude. One of the reasons the Chinese are 1.00

00:10:29.940 sending it into the stratosphere is it's that space, that area between where aircraft can fly

00:10:36.120 and then obviously where our satellites are. And it really is a gray zone, both for, and this is what

00:10:41.960 we have to pull the thread on, on the Armed Services Committee is, were our sensors looking in the wrong

00:10:48.120 direction? Were they looking kind of past that zone into space? Was it the type of signature the Chinese knew

00:12:35.180 what's going on and that she is telling his country to prepare for war and is telling them that they

00:12:41.540 are going to replace the American dream with the China dream. And he wants to export his form of 0.98

00:14:51.940 these students are well-meaning kids. They just want an education and a better life or the scientists

00:14:57.060 that are coming over here to, you know, do cancer research or what have you. They have no choice

00:15:02.960 if tapped on the shoulder by a Communist Party official and told, go access that supercomputer

00:15:09.500 or that key technology and send it back. Not only do they have to, their family back home can be held

00:15:16.280 liable. And so that's what we have to realize. And your question of why this government is doing

00:15:21.800 nothing about it. Think about all of the institutions that the Democrats care the most

00:15:27.800 about. Hollywood, sports industry, academia. Now they're, you know, woke corporate friends

00:15:34.600 in Wall Street. They're all compromised. They're all making money hand over fist on their business

00:15:46.800 here at home. But the institutions the Democrats care about the most are the ones that are most

00:15:50.840 compromised by the CCP. And they're the ones, you know, telling every Democrat in Washington to turn

00:16:08.360 there is as to what is going on with this government and some of our largest and most important and

00:16:13.520 powerful institutions. This business of 10 instances of balloons, and as to my count, only two have had

00:16:24.720 concurrent awareness with the administration in power at that moment. This means, straightforwardly

00:16:33.380 to me, that the military is making decisions about what to bring to the level of the commander-in-chief

00:16:39.540 and are making independent decisions about what will be U.S. policy on a foreign incursion and intrusion

00:16:47.680 into the United States airspace. Am I missing something here? Well, look, I mean, that was certainly

00:16:54.220 mine and others' concerns when the administration tried to politicize the whole matter and say, hey,

00:17:00.600 this happened under Trump and they didn't shoot it down. So therefore, you know, what's the big deal?

00:17:05.580 Well, stop criticizing us for not doing it either. Turns out, you know, the Pentagon, you know, kind of,

00:17:13.500 kind of, I think, stepped in with some facts there. And it turns out that nobody in the administration

00:17:18.220 knew, even on the military side under Trump, because we just missed, we missed them for reasons that

00:17:26.460 are still outstanding. Some of them are classified, but some of them we still have some questions about.

00:17:32.100 So, you know, I think they rolled that back some and they pulled that back some. But to your point,

00:17:39.940 we need very clear answers on what types of intrusions get elevated to the president, regardless of political

00:17:48.120 party, because that is a commander-in-chief decision, not, you know, I mean, God bless our majors and colonels

00:17:55.380 or what have you, but what are those criteria that those decisions get elevated? And we have asked those

00:18:04.020 questions and we're waiting on answers.

00:18:06.960 I think all of us now are waiting those answers because the initial statements by this administration

00:18:13.320 were all over the map. They were obviously in CYA mode. They were obviously lying. And I will not

00:18:26.440 what was happening four years ago. If I had to make a view, a choice on a board, I would take

00:18:35.140 they're lying through their teeth and they did not take it to the commander-in-chief because of the woke

00:18:41.240 general staff officers in this Pentagon. That would be my response. And I would start an immediate

00:18:48.580 investigation to find out what, what is going on. What kind of culture have we built from the

00:18:54.740 secretary of defense on down across the general officers that they would even think about violating

00:19:01.060 their oath of office and their oath of duty to the constitution. This, I, I smell a very strong

00:19:09.820 stench rising above that Pentagon.

00:19:12.140 Well, Lou, I mean, it's either the military knew and didn't inform the Trump White House or with what

00:19:20.640 they're now saying is they didn't know and just completely missed these, these signatures. You know,

00:19:32.060 series of questions on our military capabilities and what the Chinese are exploiting. And I think the final, 0.94

00:19:47.580 face, uh, to both Biden and Blinken just before his visit. Uh, and if she didn't know, and this was

00:19:53.820 some, you know, they took this action, someone in his military independently, uh, and, and outside of

00:19:59.860 the chain of command, that's a whole other issue. So that's another question we have out to, uh, to our

00:20:05.320 military and intelligence community is what did the Chinese leadership know? Why did they do this

00:20:09.920 now? Uh, and, uh, what did they expect to gain? And what do we think they gained from it all?

00:20:15.940 If I may say, I thought that you styled it perfectly, uh, that we are dealing with our chief

00:21:28.180 U.S. military's, uh, arsenal? Sure. Um, well, look, uh, I would refer everyone, uh, to Chairman Xi's

00:21:39.300 speeches before the 20th party Congress. That's, you know, basically, um, uh, that where they kind of

00:21:45.360 pull together the entire communist party. And I put in air quotes elections, uh, within that every five

00:21:50.720 years, the bottom line is he was telling his country to prepare for war. Uh, he said he is

00:21:57.320 not going to pass off the Taiwan problem, uh, to the next generation. That means they're going to 0.94

00:22:03.960 make a move. And he said, military option is on the table, said that out loud. Uh, uh, he's 70 years

00:22:10.960 old. So that's within the next 10 years, Lou. And why does this matter? You know, why does a small

00:22:56.100 becoming the global superpower, not a global superpower. And so their military, uh, is advancing

00:23:03.920 at a rate we have never seen before in world history. Uh, they are tripling the size of their

00:23:09.080 nuclear arsenal. Their Navy is now larger than ours. Their space force is launching more than us

00:23:14.360 and the rest of the world combined. And we need to recognize, I think that, uh, we are in a cold war.

00:23:20.620 They have entered a cold war with us. Um, but the difference and why this is so much more dangerous

00:23:26.100 we talked about is that they have compromised so many institutions in the United States. They're using,
