00:00:00.000 Hello everybody, I'm John Fawcett with this Great America Show midday update for Friday, February 14th.
00:00:05.720 Happy Friday folks, we made it through yet another week and we're ready to cruise on into the weekend.
00:00:11.060 Weeks are going by seemingly fast and seemingly better than they have in the past, especially over the last three weeks.
00:00:17.700 I think it might be something called the Trump effect we're seeing around here recently.
00:00:23.100 On Fox and Friends this morning, we had an unlikely duo. Once foes, now looks like becoming frenemies.
00:00:30.920 New York City Mayor Eric Adams, who's a former Marxist, still yet to be seen if he's fully recovered, but it seems like he's making great strides.
00:00:40.120 And President Trump's boarders are Tom Holman sitting down for an interview together, as I said on Fox and Friends.
00:00:45.900 Eric Adams this week announced that he's going to allow ICE to open a facility on Rikers Island.
00:00:53.500 Now, for those of you who aren't New Yorkers, Rikers Island is perhaps one of the deadliest prisons in America, certainly in New York alone.
00:01:03.340 It harbors rapists and murderers and all sorts of bad people.
00:01:09.140 The other big thing it harbors is gangs.
00:01:11.440 What I'm told from my inside source is that in Rikers Island, they have separate houses, separate housing for certain gang members.
00:01:19.460 So if you're MS-13, you're in one housing complex.
00:01:21.880 If you're in the Bloods, you're in one. 0.55
00:01:23.460 If you're in the Latin Kings, you're in another. 1.00
00:01:25.080 If you're in the Crips, you're in another.
00:01:27.100 And they keep them away from each other, so they hopefully don't kill each other, although I'm not sure that's the worst thing.
00:01:34.060 But it's that bad that they have to separate these folks who are in gangs, a lot of them illegals, who came here to commit crimes. 0.96
00:01:43.420 So Eric Adams announcing he's going to allow ICE to go in there and do their own investigations.
00:01:47.820 Take a listen to Eric Adams' response when asked about it on Fox and Friends.
00:01:51.240 And you bring in two points where the far left has hijacked this narrative.
00:01:58.220 Oh, ICE is running in our schools.
00:02:00.060 ICE is running in our churches.
00:02:02.000 And they are creating this frenzy.
00:02:05.140 They're not in the business of just grabbing children. 0.70
00:02:08.540 And we need to, you know, just stop all this noise.
00:02:11.420 Because Rikers Island, particularly after all the reforms, Rikers Island is now having some of the most dangerous people in our city.
00:02:20.480 And by having ICE on Rikers Island, part of our gang intelligence, using our intel with NYPD correction officers, we can identify those gangs inside and outside on the street.
00:02:31.860 There was no reason they were removed from Rikers Island.
00:02:35.280 And as I sat down with Tom earlier, I said that we're going to look at all the legalese.
00:02:40.160 I'm able to do an executive order to put them back on Rikers Island, which they should be with part of our criminal justice apparatus.
00:02:46.040 So, folks, as I said, it's not entirely clear that Eric Adams has come around 100% yet.
00:02:51.600 But at this point, any of these Marxist Dems, you can flip 25%, 50%, makes America a much better place.
00:02:58.860 So, if Eric Adams is allowing ICE to go into Rikers Island, maybe we can clear out 50%, 25%, even 10% of these prisons of illegals. 0.95
00:03:08.760 It's a better place, and it puts America in a far better place.
00:03:12.640 And Tom Holman, the border czar, as I mentioned before, sent an email this week to Deputy Attorney General about a webinar where AOC, speaking of Marxists,
00:03:21.980 tried to help illegal aliens avoid deportation and detention.
00:03:25.500 Take a listen to Tom Holman and what he's doing now to maybe hold AOC accountable.
00:03:32.400 And I sent an email today to the Deputy Attorney General.
00:03:35.680 At what level is that impediment?
00:03:37.080 Is that impediment?
00:03:38.200 I'm not an attorney.
00:03:39.280 I'm not a prosecutor.
00:03:40.220 Is that impediment?
00:03:41.100 Is that impeding our law enforcement efforts?
00:03:43.160 If so, what are we going to do about it?
00:03:45.060 Is she crossing the line?
00:03:46.560 So, I'm working with the Department of Justice and finding out, where is that line that they crossed?
00:03:51.980 So, maybe AOC is going to be in trouble now, but I need the AOG to opine on that, because there's an impediment.
00:03:58.520 It's impediment, in my opinion.
00:03:59.900 I'm not a prosecutor, but we need some further guidance on that.
00:04:03.180 But, again, if we have to take every federal dollar out of the city, we'll do it.
00:04:07.080 I mean, we're done.
00:04:08.380 This is about public safety.
00:04:10.400 This is about community safety. 1.00
00:04:13.200 Annoyingly releasing a public safety back in the public, it's just stupid. 1.00
00:04:17.860 You're putting the public at great risk. 0.99
00:04:19.600 You're putting our officers at great risk.
00:04:21.460 You're even putting the illegal alien at great risk, because anything can happen on an arrest on the street.
00:04:25.880 So, we just want to make common sense.
00:04:27.420 If sanctuary cities, they want to step aside, step aside.
00:04:30.460 We're coming.
00:04:31.140 We're going to do it for you.
00:04:32.120 If you don't want to make your community safer, President Trump's going to.
00:04:36.460 Folks, Tom Homan doing one heck of a job for this country, for President Trump,
00:04:41.260 and for making America great again.
00:04:43.320 We're in talks to have Tom on the show in the next coming weeks.
00:04:47.040 So, any questions you want us to ask Tom Homan or concerns or anything like that,
00:04:51.980 you can shoot me a message on Twitter or tweet, JohnFawcettNY,
00:04:56.320 or you can shoot us an email at info at LouDobbs.com with any questions you may have for Mr. Tom Homan.
00:05:02.760 And, folks, FBI Director nominee Cash Patel passes through his first major hurdle in the confirmation process,
00:05:09.420 passing out of committee by a vote of 12 to 10, which advances his nomination now to the floor.
00:05:16.600 We're expecting a full floor vote next week for Mr. Cash Patel.
00:05:21.660 Folks, an Arizona focus group of swing voters were asked questions about Elon Musk and Donald Trump.
00:05:28.620 Now, you may ask why we're talking about Arizona and why we're talking about a focus group.
00:05:32.900 A public opinion poll that was done among these folks, there was 11 voters,
00:05:37.940 all of whom backed Joe Biden in 2020 but switched to President Trump last November,
00:05:42.860 said they're good with Trump's aggressively testing disruption, expansionism of expression in the presidential powers
00:05:48.660 that are piling up court challenges, things such as his border crackdown,
00:05:53.660 Tom Homan's work as ICE director, shutting down USAID,
00:05:58.700 all of what President Trump has done, Gaza.
00:06:01.180 Folks, 11 of these folks, all voting for Biden in 2020,
00:06:05.840 are good with what President Trump is doing so far.
00:06:09.660 You can't get 11 people to agree on what we're going to have for dinner at night,
00:06:13.540 yet you get 11 Democrats who voted for President Trump this last election,
00:06:18.480 but Biden in 2020 to agree on the job President Trump's doing.
00:06:21.640 I'd say the Republicans are set up right now for 2026,
00:06:25.740 perhaps like they've never been before.
00:06:28.060 It's their races to lose in 2026.
00:06:30.180 The rhinos who don't want to get on board, that's fine. 1.00
00:06:33.260 Let them run their own races.
00:06:34.980 You want to lose, you're going to lose,
00:06:36.740 because Americans are on board with the America First agenda.
00:06:39.800 Over 70 million of them, in fact.
00:06:41.880 So you want to run as a rhino?
00:06:43.500 You want to run as a disruptor?
00:06:44.940 That's fine.
00:06:45.660 Go ask Adam Kinzinger or Liz Cheney how that ended for them.
00:06:49.300 The party doesn't need them anymore.
00:06:50.580 They're a drag on it.
00:06:52.200 Good riddance.
00:06:53.120 Take care.
00:06:53.800 We'll see you later.
00:06:54.940 Folks, please be sure to join us for today's episode of The Great America Show.
00:06:58.200 We're joined by a great new guest of The Great America Show, Chris Piotta.
00:07:02.620 He's a retired FBI executive assistant director.
00:07:05.620 He's the author of Wanted, the FBI I once knew.
00:07:08.680 We take up all the FBI corruption,
00:07:11.160 and what Cash Rattel, when he's brought in next week,
00:07:14.260 is going to do to fix it all.
