Hello everybody, I'm John Fawcett with this Great America Show update.
00:00:04.060
It's been one month since the passing of the great Lou Dobbs.
00:00:07.200
Lou was indeed a patriot, a warrior, a champion for truth, justice, and the American way,
00:00:12.420
and so much more than that that we could spend hours talking about it.
00:00:16.160
To me, Lou was a mentor, a best friend, a guiding light, and a voice of reason I never knew I needed.
00:00:22.940
I have worked for Lou for the last almost six years, from various roles with him at Fox News,
00:00:28.080
starting out as his assistant and working my way up the ladder to a producer, a writer,
00:00:32.880
and on-air reporter for his number one show, Lou Dobbs Tonight.
00:00:36.960
Almost three years ago, I started this show with him as his executive producer.
00:00:41.260
After Fox so cowardly canceled his show, Lou Dobbs Tonight, Lou was not ready to give up the fight.
00:00:46.540
In fact, it only made him want to fight for this republic even more.
00:00:50.100
As such an accomplished person with such a distinguished career,
00:00:53.820
Lou could have rode off into the sunset and enjoyed the retirement he so deserved.
00:00:59.580
He knew in his heart that his millions of followers out there needed him more than ever,
00:01:06.380
Lou worked tireless hours to put on this program, and even started back up his hour-long TV show,
00:01:11.480
Lou Dobbs Tonight, which aired every night on Frank's speech,
00:01:14.580
and he even hosted an hour-long radio show every Sunday on WABC Radio in New York City.
00:01:20.460
This is what Lou loved to do, so working seven days a week was Lou's idea of retirement.
00:01:25.220
I will admit, at times, he was so full steam ahead that even I had a hard time keeping up with him.
00:01:32.340
Working for Lou has been the honor of a lifetime for me and a life lesson that has been so invaluable.
00:01:37.300
He will always hold a massive place in my heart, and his passing has left a massive void in my life.
00:01:43.280
After taking a month off to reflect all that we have accomplished together as a team,
00:01:48.320
and visiting with Lou's wife, Debbie, who was Lou's pride, joy, and purpose,
00:01:55.300
We decided that it's only right we continue on with The Great America Show in Lou's honor.
00:01:59.940
Lou had a vision for this great nation, and we intend on fulfilling that for him.
00:02:03.640
In the coming days, we will be starting back up the show with myself hosting.
00:02:07.960
I hope each and every one of Lou's millions of listeners who have put so much trust in him
00:02:12.120
will continue this journey with us, as I do my best to follow in his footsteps
00:02:17.100
and use everything he has taught me to promote truth, justice, and the American way in this great country.
00:02:23.660
I often joked with Lou that he had way too much integrity to be in this media business,
00:02:29.680
But I vow to you, the millions of listeners, to hold myself to the same standard that Lou
00:02:34.420
held himself to, and the same standard he held me to.
00:02:38.480
I am looking forward to joining you all very soon, and please let me know what you want
