The Great America Show - IF GOP WINS BIG, THEY’LL HAVE TO CLEAN UP EVERYTHING, THE FBI, DOJ： DID YOU EVER THINK WE’D MISS J. EDGAR HOOVER, THAT HE’D LOOK THIS GOOD？

00:00:00.000 Hello everybody and welcome to the Great America Show. I'm Lou Dobbs and great to have you with us.

00:00:05.760 And guess what? The Washington Post doing some of its customary intrepid reporting and you and I

00:00:11.380 can now rest easy because the Post has figured out why this country is, as our grandparents used to

00:00:17.560 say, going to hell in a handbasket. A Post columnist, Perry Bacon, says that white people, that's right,

00:00:24.980 white people are the problem. Please take note. If he had said that about any other race, the Post 0.99

00:00:32.260 would have labeled him a racist and fired him. In point of fact, he's just another left-wing hack

00:00:37.900 without an original thought in his mind. And we don't have to worry about another failed prosecution

00:00:43.780 of the Marxist Dems who were behind the fraudulent Steele dossier and the Russian hoax. No, we don't

00:00:49.360 have to worry at all. Yes, John Durham did lose another case. A jury found Igor Danchenko not guilty

00:00:56.800 in all counts of lying to the FBI. But former Attorney General William Barr says that DOJ just

00:01:03.980 did a crackerjack job prosecuting the case. He said they did a good job. What in the world is wrong with

00:01:11.220 this fellow? He hasn't figured out yet that he'd be better off reserving his opinions rather than

00:01:16.700 sharing them, making no sense whatsoever. Breitbart with the disturbing, dumbfounding story about

00:01:24.020 teachers going to a conference to purge their whiteness and their white supremacy, of course, 0.91

00:01:30.980 and try to, get ready for this one, decolonize their minds while pushing something called

00:01:37.660 intersectional feminism. Teachers are becoming, in my opinion, an increasingly scary bunch of lost souls 1.00

00:01:45.700 who are trading in gobbledygook steeped in left-wing nonsense. I think we could use a good rethink

00:01:53.020 about why we're putting up with these leftist Marxist teachers in our public schools. They're

00:01:58.420 truly a menace to our children and a danger to our families and communities. And our guest today is

00:02:05.400 the great Mark Simone, WOR radio host, Mr. New York, nationally syndicated, and you can catch his podcast

00:02:12.860 on iHeartRadio. Great to have you back with us, my friend, on the Great America Show.

00:02:18.700 Let's start with Joe Biden, bumbling his way through a campaign appearance with John Fetterman,

00:02:23.860 and it looks like he's either playing the tough guy, like he did in Florida,

00:02:27.540 or is utterly, completely lost as he was in Pennsylvania. What do you make of it?

00:02:31.960 No, he's a pretend wannabe with the fake sunglasses, the easy rider, cool hand Luke sunglasses, and the

00:02:40.360 tough talk. He has a long history of this. There's a whole montage of him being caught on hot mics,

00:02:47.380 always the bad word that he uses, always trying to sound tough. He is, remember the senator in the

00:02:53.340 godfather part two? He's that guy who in private said to Michael Corleone, I intend to squeeze you.

00:03:00.860 And then when the door opens, hello ladies, he's just a phony guy. Unbelievable. Well, he really is a

00:03:09.000 phony in every way, shapes, and form. What do you think? I mean, the pandemic is over again, says Biden. 0.92

00:03:17.420 What is with this guy? I guess they found out there's no board that Hunter can get on pandemic

00:03:23.600 wise, so that's the end of the pandemic. Fauci is now five million dollars richer, that's enough for

00:03:29.000 him. Pandemic is over, unless they need it again, in 2024 to, you know, tamper with the election again.

00:03:39.360 Yeah, so everything with him is a scheme. Everything is a scheme. There's nothing real,

00:03:45.560 nothing legitimate. There's never been an honest comment. You know, even a green energy where it

00:03:51.040 seems like a passion thing with him, the money's going to be handed out by two political operatives,

00:03:56.300 the Podesta brothers. Everything is a scheme with this guy. And it's a big number. What is it,

00:04:01.900 350 billion? Yeah. I think it's on that order. And here we go, a giveaway and the checks are being

00:04:10.680 cut and sent out just in time for the midterm elections. It's just what, it's incredible what

00:04:16.760 this guy gets away with. And meanwhile, he's, and he and Susan Rice, and of course, their, their

00:04:23.120 masters, the Marxist Dems who run the, that Marxist Dem cabal that runs everything in Washington,

00:04:30.200 they're, they're sitting there looking at getting out the vote. And they've enlisted the Department of

00:04:37.760 Labor. They've got the House, HUD. I mean, they got everybody going. They're going to be out there

00:04:42.860 hustling Democrats to the polls or whoever they can get to, to sign up and, and vote. It's really

00:04:52.040 amazing. Zucker, Zucker bucks are gone. Our bucks are, as taxpayers are on the line, helping out good

00:05:00.180 old Joe Biden. Yeah. You know, and somebody might say, well, he did the right thing in Florida. He, he's only

00:05:06.640 doing that because he's got elections. He's got to win in Florida. The governor's race, there's Senate

00:05:10.400 races, there's congressional races. That's the only reason he's looking like a hero in Florida. If there

00:05:16.160 was any way to totally screw up DeSantis and his budget, he would do it in a second. And back way

00:05:21.640 till after the election, let's see, let's see if that money is flowing like he claimed it would be.

00:05:25.740 Right. And the pictures of DeSantis, though, the gov, as President Biden referred to him briefly,

00:05:34.800 the gov looked forlorn like he'd lost his best friend. He was, I mean, his sour face. He just

00:05:41.680 couldn't, he looked like he was just in the worst mood I've ever seen him. I've never seen

00:05:48.320 Ron DeSantis looked like that man that day with Biden. Well, if Joe Biden were in your house,

00:05:55.060 you wouldn't look so happy either. But he's got, he had a big problem there. He didn't want to have

00:05:59.740 a Chris Christie moment. You know, remember in 2008, Christie was supposed to be the big Romney

00:06:04.400 supporter. They had the horrible hurricane. And I actually was 2012, I guess. And Obama showed up

00:06:12.400 and Christie went too crazy, smiling too much. And at one point hugged Obama. And that was the

00:06:17.720 beginning of the end of Chris Christie in New Jersey. Well, it was an end that should have been

00:06:23.100 sooner as far as I'm concerned. It's a shame that it took a hug from Obama to get him. But, you know,

00:06:30.460 God bless Obama for hugging him because he needed to be moved on. I still can't understand why Trump put

00:06:38.500 up with that man. He was the chair of his transition for crying out loud. What, what in the world was

00:06:45.120 that about? Uh, well, yeah, Trump likes characters, crazy characters. You know, there's a Steve Bannon

00:06:51.020 type of this type of that type, uh, uh, you know, he had a lawyer once it was a little crazy and Trump

00:06:56.220 was actually heard to say a little crazy is good now. And then he just likes to shake things up. He's,

00:07:00.960 he's, uh, he knows how to market. And sometimes you market with big talkers and big personalities.

00:07:06.740 And I think that's the reason. Yeah. And he does have that penchant. It's a dangerous one,

00:07:13.160 but he does have that penchant. Uh, it's not like Joe Biden has a cabinet filled with geniuses. I

00:07:19.680 mean, he's, he's got, I don't think he's, I don't know that he's got anybody in there with a triple 1.00

00:07:25.840 digit IQ to be honest with you. No, you can pick on Trump's people, but this is the biggest bunch

00:07:30.780 of idiots ever in a cabinet. There's nobody in there that's competent at anything. 1.00

00:07:36.080 I, I, I get a kick out of the, uh, Granholm, Jennifer Granholm. She was a governor of Michigan,

00:07:42.820 uh, seemed to do fine. If you don't include all the bad water and all the bad things that happened,

00:07:48.440 but, uh, she is, she's just as a cabinet member, she's just a total loss. She never seems to know

00:07:54.920 what the hell she's talking about. Uh, it's, and none of them do. And then Pete Buttigieg

00:08:00.320 occasionally has the good sense to go, go dark for about three months at a time. And you don't

00:08:05.400 hear from him. Then he emerges and everybody says, well, you know, I think he'd make a great

00:08:08.980 president. Oh yeah. Really? It's a good example. This guy was the mayor of South Bend, Indiana. All

00:08:16.080 they have is like four buses and a, and a golf cart. And now he's the transportation secretary.

00:08:21.800 How is that possible? He has no experience at all for this job.

00:08:24.920 Well, think, uh, think, uh, think about how that happened. My gosh. Uh, well, let's talk

00:08:30.880 about, you know, let's talk about Biden. Uh, I, because he really did play tough guy. Uh,

00:08:36.160 now, after he went to, to Saudi Arabia, gave, uh, MBS, uh, Muhammad bin Salman, a big, a big

00:08:45.440 fist bump. You remember that? And then they talked and every, everybody in the White House said

00:08:50.800 they had a great discussions, except for the part where Joe Biden called Saudi Arabia, a

00:08:56.460 pariah. And now he's having a fit because OPEC and South Saudi Arabia are cutting oil production

00:09:06.540 by 2 million barrels a day. Uh, I, the guy is an utter moron and I can't understand how these morons 1.00

00:09:15.500 and the corporate media continue to work. They're nothing but democratic activists. They have no idea 1.00

00:09:23.860 what in the world a story is or how to exercise critical judgment. It's just, it's, it's, it's amazing

00:09:30.540 to watch them flail. Well, they are the biggest threat to America right now to not have working

00:09:35.960 media, to not have actual journalism, to have a totally corrupted media. That's Soviet union kind 0.99

00:09:41.800 of stuff. So you mentioned the oil Biden is draining the strategic petroleum reserve to artificially

00:09:49.000 lower gas prices leading up to the election. Uh, he'll stop right after the election. Gas prices

00:09:53.940 will soar. That reserve will be half empty. And the media said nothing. They could have stopped

00:09:58.680 this. They could have, uh, stopped this inflation by going after the spending. They kept quiet and

00:10:04.060 allowed all these horrible things to happen. The crime wave that's all over America. That's from

00:10:08.120 the media keeping quiet and not saying a word about it. Democrats know they can get away with anything.

00:10:13.320 Yeah. And I, and I think we need to give great credit to the, to the owners of corporate media

00:10:18.200 in America. Let's start out with Disney, uh, and ABC news. Uh, I mean, that's a, they're just a

00:10:24.500 wonderful operation. Uh, they have been nothing more than the, the Stassi, uh, applause section. Uh,

00:10:32.340 look at CBS, look at Comcast, uh, and, and it goes on and on and on. We, corporate America is

00:10:41.120 responsible for this left turn in American politics. Sure. Is it sure is shooting. And they've tried to get

00:10:48.380 away with it, uh, because they won't, they won't report on one another. So it's left to, to you and

00:10:53.860 me, Mark, to tell the American people the truth about what these corporations are doing, uh, to our,

00:11:00.020 our news media. And it is a betrayal of the highest order, uh, of the fourth estate and, and the

00:11:09.040 guardians of, uh, this great Republic. Your thoughts. Uh, if you don't believe this, go back and watch last

00:11:15.880 Sunday, all the Sunday shows, Chuck Todd, that Stephanopoulos, watch all those shows. Every segment

00:11:20.660 was about Trump. Who's not even in office right now. All the Sunday shows were about Trump. They

00:11:25.940 never mentioned Biden who had had just had the worst week of gaps ever. Can you imagine leaving

00:11:31.800 the president out, not covering him on the Sunday shows? They just ignore everything. Look the other

00:11:36.840 way, no matter what he gets away with, no matter what, look at Tony Bobulinski coming forward and

00:11:42.200 revealing all this stuff in the last week or two. They don't say a word. There's no coverage,

00:11:47.780 uh, none, zero New York times, nothing. I have never seen the grounds of the white house look

00:11:54.420 like such a lonely and forlorn places when Joe Biden talks to a gaggle of say a half dozen reporters.

00:12:02.020 Remember, uh, with Trump, there'd be 30 or 40 people crowding around him. He's doing it every

00:12:07.060 day. Uh, and nobody, there's nobody even walking the grounds. Nobody went out for lunch for crying

00:12:14.200 out loud and they do nothing. And there's, and there's Joe Biden trundling along, trying to find

00:12:21.380 his way back to the West wing. Uh, it's, it's stunning to watch. It's a upsetting. You mentioned Bob

00:12:28.200 Bolinski, uh, this great, uh, I guess whistleblower is what he is from two years ago, reappears on

00:12:36.300 Tucker Carlson saying he would have verified everything. If somebody had just asked him a

00:12:40.920 question. As I recall, as I recall, you tell me, Mark, I thought Tucker Carlson asked him some

00:12:49.220 questions. And I thought that there, we had a lot of answers that the chairman, the big guy was taking

00:12:55.720 10% cut on all of the deals that they were doing. His brother James was in on it. What happened to

00:13:01.860 all of that? Uh, why are we having a sort of a redux? Uh, it's just, uh, peculiar to me. And by the

00:13:10.140 way, Tucker is the one who said, uh, he's going to drop the whole thing because he didn't feel like

00:13:15.160 he should be going after his, uh, his, uh, school, school, uh, school buddy, Hunter Biden. I mean,

00:13:23.640 they're rewriting history from rewriting history. And now they're saying that they would have,

00:13:28.320 I don't even know what to make of it. Do you?

00:13:30.100 Yeah. It's an unbelievable double standard. A guy literally comes forward, an incredible guy to

00:13:34.180 testify that money was kicked back to the president of the United States in the millions. And nobody

00:13:39.080 thinks it's a story. Nobody mentions it. Uh, it won't be on the Sunday show. It won't be in the

00:13:43.460 New York times. No, no coverage at all. At least go to Biden and say, how come you only got 10%?

00:13:50.420 You're the guy doing all the work. You should've got 30, 40, 50% of this money. Only 10.

00:13:56.720 Well, well, you know, you hear one side of it from Hunter. He at one point was talking about,

00:14:01.980 he has to give up half his salary, uh, you know, to the enterprise. Uh, so who knows what's going on

00:14:08.320 here, but we do know one thing it's criminal. It is corrupt. And we've got the evidence, uh, yet we are

00:14:16.520 content to let the secret service protect Hunter Biden to protect Joe Biden, to protect the Biden

00:14:23.980 enterprise. Uh, we know that the FBI is perfectly willing to spend six years trying to frame

00:14:30.500 president Trump. And now we're entering our seventh year where they are still equally,

00:14:35.640 apparently energetic and enthused about it. Uh, certainly the national media is, as you

00:14:41.900 point out last Sunday, focusing on Trump, uh, it is madness that we're witnessing in this country,

00:14:48.680 but let me ask you, were you surprised when, do you recall when Tucker decided not to go forward

00:14:54.660 with the, uh, Hunter Biden, uh, laptop story and the investigation he was running, which up to that

00:15:00.500 point had been terrific. Uh, do you remember that when he decided that, you know, the old school tie

00:15:04.920 accounted for something? Yeah. Well, you know, that business, who knows there may be looking in

00:15:08.940 the ratings book. It dropped off right there in that segment. So that's the end of that. Uh,

00:15:13.860 I can't believe the old school ties were the reason who knows, you know, you never know what

00:15:18.180 goes on. Well, Biden goes to Delaware, uh, for days and days at a time. He's got visitors coming and

00:15:25.220 going. There's no record of who's visiting him. Who's talking to him. Nobody's even complaining

00:15:30.060 about the secret service, not having a record of, he spends 40% of his presidency in what is it? A

00:15:37.400 half dozen mansions. Yeah. And on the 40% of his time as president and the secret service didn't

00:15:44.460 think, Oh, should I log this visitor in? I mean, like they do everywhere else for every other

00:15:49.660 president. Uh, this is beyond belief and there's no one investigating the secret service. No. And it's

00:15:56.740 not just them. The media should be there. They're out front in Mar-a-Lago and, uh, Bedminster

00:16:00.720 photographing everybody coming and going. Where's the same coverage of Biden's house on the weekends?

00:16:06.360 Well, exactly. Uh, and also what agency would we turn to by the way, anyway, if we had to arrest all

00:16:13.780 of these characters in the FBI who have, uh, uh, soiled and sullied the reputation of that great,

00:16:19.900 uh, that great institution, I think probably forever. Uh, why is it there's someone that we

00:16:26.460 can turn to like the U S marshals and say, you know, we, we think that this is a real problem

00:16:32.280 here and maybe you should be paying attention and investigate it. No one in Congress has thought to

00:16:37.400 use to do that. Uh, they're talking about what they're going to do when, uh, they win the election

00:16:42.880 on November 8th and God, I hope they do. Uh, but I, it's all talk again. We, this is the talk

00:16:51.080 against party I've ever seen. The, the Republicans, uh, remember how they talked about, uh, reversing

00:16:58.940 Obamacare. They 61 times they wrote, they voted against it and we've still got Obamacare. What,

00:17:06.340 I mean, what do you make of this party? Uh, uh, you know, I like the contract with America,

00:17:11.680 Newt Kingrich, here's the 16 things we'll do. Here's the date we'll do. And then Kevin McCarthy

00:17:15.680 put out this long rambling, vague, esoteric thing. I couldn't even get through it. So, uh, I think

00:17:22.480 the Republicans win both houses, uh, in November, but I never underestimate the ability of these

00:17:28.420 guys to screw it up. You're right. They're going to have to clean up, uh, everything. The FBI. I

00:17:32.900 mean, I know, do you ever think we'd miss J. Edgar Hoover, that he would be a good, the golden age

00:17:38.440 of the FBI. So, uh, I think they're going to have to clean it up, but I don't know. I don't

00:17:43.660 think it could be done. They told some people told Trump that they said this swamp was built

00:17:47.760 over 50 years. You're not going to drain it in four years. It can't be done. Yeah. I don't know

00:17:53.540 if it can be done period. Really. Uh, when, when you have so many Republicans who are lined up either

00:17:59.920 obviously and publicly or under the table with the rhinos and with the Marxist Dems, I mean, it's a, 0.54

00:18:08.040 it's a, a criminal, criminal operation, uh, down there, uh, they're splitting up money. Every time

00:18:15.100 we find out Joe Biden has sent another tranche of money to Ukraine, all I can think of, uh,

00:18:22.020 and my wife and I talk about all the time, it looks like hush money. It, when you, they gifted,

00:18:27.040 they gifted Ukraine, $600 million yesterday. What is that? I've never heard of the United States

00:18:35.720 gifting money for, for a country that they don't recognize as an ally, uh, and they won't support

00:18:43.740 overtly. This is the most bizarre thing, uh, to me to witness. What do you think? Uh, I think if we,

00:18:52.200 again, it all goes back to the same problem. We don't have any media journalism, totally corrupted.

00:18:56.340 I think if they traced that 600 million and see who Ukraine was told to buy this weapons from,

00:19:02.480 what contractors to use that, who knows with these, uh, Bidens, even that meeting with the

00:19:07.120 Saudis, you know, when they were huddling over something, I'm sure he was just telling these 0.99

00:19:10.420 Saudis, look, Hunter's too hot. You go through my brothers. Now everything's with them to the

00:19:14.980 contracts with them. Uh, nobody's following anything. Nobody's watching anything. You know,

00:19:20.320 we've got so much corruption and it's Republicans, it's Democrats, but right now it's Democrats doing it 0.74

00:19:25.300 like crazy. We have a governor in New York who is handing out the most corrupt contracts ever.

00:19:30.940 A donor gives her a fortune. The next day she takes the, uh, testing contracts for the virus tests

00:19:36.780 and hands it to a company that just made a huge donation. And they don't even make virus tests.

00:19:42.060 They get a $600 million contract to do it. This kind of stuff is going on all over the place.

00:19:47.600 And where's the media just silent? Absolutely. Uh, so Tony Boblinski, I want to get back to that

00:19:55.300 because, uh, Miranda Devine, a columnist at the New York post has been, I think doing just an

00:20:00.720 amazing job with so many stories, but taking on, uh, the, the Biden machine, if you will. I mean,

00:20:08.660 the Biden machine to me is the entirety of government. I can't think of any part of government that isn't,

00:20:15.580 uh, on his payroll, on his side, supporting him, shielding him, protecting him. Can you?

00:20:21.500 No. And if you went back to another era of journalism, they would not believe that somebody

00:20:27.820 like Miranda Devine could uncover this stuff and not be immediately invited on the today show the 0.94

00:20:32.760 next day, not be on the news with Lester Holt, not be on meet the press. They would never believe

00:20:38.180 that there'd come an era where this woman couldn't get on anything, uh, and mainstream media. 0.88

00:20:43.180 Do you know what? I, I have a sneaking suspicion and I don't have any evidence for this, but I have

00:20:48.480 a sneaking suspicion that there is a, there is an answer in all of this. And that, excuse me. And

00:20:55.620 that is this, I believe that there's such a dwindling audience for radio and for television,

00:21:02.160 excuse me, for television audiences. That audience is just evaporating. They're moving to streaming.

00:21:08.900 We know that they're moving to live events. Radio seems to be doing very well. I just wonder

00:21:16.340 if they're so desperate to hang on to that audience that has the time and the interest

00:21:23.140 in the anti-Trump message that they built up over six years, that they're scared to death

00:21:28.520 to leave even, to lose even a fraction of it. Uh, and therefore they don't want to talk about

00:21:34.460 anything that's pro-Trump, that's pro-America, that's anti-Biden, anti-Marxist, dim, anti-corruption.

00:21:41.980 What do you think?

00:21:42.940 Yeah, that could be part of it. I've never thought of it that way, but, uh, uh, well,

00:21:47.380 you listen, you know, a lot of these people that work at the New York times, the Washington

00:21:50.020 post, NBC news, they really are that left wing. They really do believe all this nonsense.

00:21:54.920 Uh, do you really, do you think they really believe it? Do you? Oh yeah. You know, I, I think

00:22:01.000 they're as corrupt as Biden himself. I think they're lying through their teeth because it 0.97

00:22:05.880 is a meal ticket. I think every, I think every one of them, uh, is a, uh, a broken beer, bruised

00:22:14.440 and incapacitated, impaired individual, just, uh, living a nightmare through, uh, through their 0.85

00:22:23.000 bylines. I think it's just, it's a horrible, horrible joke on this great Republic of ours and

00:22:29.300 the American people. Uh, they're, they're smarter than that. They're doing this intentionally. They're

00:22:34.920 trying to destroy people on the right because they want to go to that, that, uh, Valhalla on the left,

00:22:41.140 uh, that Marxist, uh, commune, uh, that will, uh, extend from sea to shining sea. I really believe

00:22:50.300 that. What do you think? Yeah, I guess so. And they want to be invited to the right, uh, parties

00:22:54.320 and dinner parties and, uh, uh, speak in the right places. You know, you know, some of these, uh, left

00:22:58.640 wing dinner parties, they're the smartest people on earth, the top lawyer in the world, the top

00:23:04.040 surgeon in the world, the greatest CEO. These are brilliant minds, but they fall for every stupid 1.00

00:23:09.460 fake narrative. The New York times feeds them. Uh, you can't, if you show them all the real facts 1.00

00:23:14.400 about climate change or how much damage these electric cars can do to the environment, they

00:23:18.440 just, they don't see it. They don't get it. They want to believe this fake narrative. It's

00:23:22.620 like fairy tales. They become like children. They want to believe these fairy tales, fairy

00:23:27.600 tales, indeed. And one of them is you referred to the strategic oil, uh, oil reserves. Here's

00:23:34.800 Biden, once again, tapping into the strategic oil reserves. And he declares this after that

00:23:39.640 2 million barrel a day cut in production, that he's going to pull 10 million barrels out of

00:23:45.640 their strategic petroleum reserves, the United States, 10 million barrels. Think about it.

00:23:52.340 In other words, that would cover five days, five days of the reduction in output from OPEC. 0.98

00:24:00.340 This, this, the man said it as if he really is so dumb that he thinks that that's significant. 0.74

00:24:06.800 What makes it significant is just as he did the last time as he drew down the reserves, 0.96

00:24:11.740 he's going to ship part of that. We don't know why. And the national, to your point, the national

00:24:16.380 media won't go after it. Why is he sending millions of barrels of oil to his friends in China?

00:24:22.860 Can somebody explain that to me?

00:24:25.060 Uh, yeah. Look at Hunter's bank account there. Look at the money coming in. You know,

00:24:30.340 the only reason we got all that oil in there is because of Donald Trump. When he got the price

00:24:33.820 down to, I think one point he hit a dollar 60 ago, he started buying tons of it to fill up that

00:24:38.280 reserve. Biden has depleted it. The press says absolutely nothing about it. What, what's the

00:24:43.800 point of just five days? Well, it's five days leading up to an election. So you can artificially

00:24:47.620 lower the price a little of gas. Absolutely. A day after the election, he's going to stop doing

00:24:52.300 this and people are going to be stunned when they see what happens to oil prices that day after the

00:24:57.100 election. You know what? I don't hear a lot of people saying, Mark, I don't hear a lot of people

00:25:01.120 saying, well, you know, the American people are really smart. You can try to fool them. You can

00:25:05.700 fool some of them, some of the time, maybe some of them part of the time, but not all of them.

00:25:11.700 I don't hear anybody saying that anymore. They're saying, you know, the Republicans are really stupid 1.00

00:25:17.300 because they can't put together an answer to these, these corrupt Marxist Dems. Uh, I, I'm worried that 1.00

00:25:25.240 that latter statement may be absolutely true. Your thoughts? Well, you know, you can fool people

00:25:30.780 on some things, but I, I mean, I'm in gas stations all the time and I watch people's faces when they

00:25:36.000 see the total at the gas pump where it used to be 29. Now it's 99 to fill the tank. They're just

00:25:41.320 stunned. So they see what's happening in their pocketbook and they see what's happening in their

00:25:45.160 neighborhoods, cities all over America, the worst crime wave they've ever seen people living in fear.

00:25:50.020 And it's not just the cities. It's, this is the first time I've seen it spread like this to

00:25:53.820 suburban areas, even rural areas are getting affected. This crime wave, uh, is something I it's

00:26:00.780 underneath the radar. I don't think the polls are measuring people's fear in this crime wave.

00:26:06.100 And I, I think you're going to see an incredible red tidal wave, uh, in November on election day.

00:26:12.160 Well, I sure hope so. I'm pulling for one. I guarantee you, uh, and the cities though,

00:26:17.880 just keep on being Democrat run, uh, zones of conflict. Uh, Eric Adams sending border crossers

00:26:26.700 now that have been shipped to him from Texas or Florida to a secluded Island off the Bronx.

00:26:32.900 Uh, I mean, Eric Adams has turned out to be something I think absolutely horrific as mayor.

00:26:40.540 Uh, what is your take as a native New Yorker and, uh, uh, and full-time witness?

00:26:49.360 Well, uh, I will take credit for the five months leading up to the election, warning everybody not

00:26:54.640 to vote for Eric Adams. I know he's an ex cop. He had a plan to fight crime. Well, uh, maybe one day

00:27:00.660 he'll let us know what that plan was so far. He hasn't been able to tell us. Uh, this is a very

00:27:05.960 simple thing. A bunch of migrants, where do you put them? It's not that complex a problem.

00:27:09.820 He couldn't figure this out at all. First, he was going to put tents all over orchard beach in the

00:27:14.540 Bronx. Then somebody explained to him, it's a beach. It's almost a November. It's winter. You

00:27:20.080 can't have a tent on a beach beach is blown. He actually said, we found out, we did a study that

00:27:25.120 there could be water and puddling. I'm not an expert, but I know there's water near a beach. So, uh,

00:27:30.780 and then, uh, they moved it to what, uh, this Island Randall's Island.

00:27:36.000 Which is nice. It has a miniature golf. It has a driving range, but, uh, now the city council

00:27:41.240 won't allow that. He's thinking of hotel rooms. I bet this city has a bunch of, bunch of empty

00:27:45.420 buildings it could have used and he just hasn't thought about it. Well, how about this? What

00:27:49.600 if he picked up the phone and called Joe Biden and said, you know, we have a huge number of

00:27:55.960 illegal immigrants in our city, uh, that have been transported in and, and, uh, the, uh,

00:28:05.340 and we'd like you to come get them. What, what, what do you think that happened? Uh, and how

00:28:10.860 about this, Joe, uh, you know, that border that, uh, that president Trump built that wall

00:28:16.640 about 400 miles of it, 450. Uh, could we finish that? Because it's getting there, this is getting

00:28:22.220 to be pretty, pretty tough stuff up here in New York and Washington and well, Martha's Vineyard,

00:28:28.940 of course. You know how many people would give anything to go to Martha's Vineyard? And even 0.98

00:28:33.720 if you go to Martha's Vineyard, it takes you forever on a ferry and drive to be able to go

00:28:37.640 by private jet to Martha's Vineyard. That's like the most elite thing in the world. Uh, Democrats

00:28:43.060 go crazy when they're there. Uh, like, I think it's 10,000 migrants in New York and they're in 1.00

00:28:49.080 panic here. They don't know what to do. Give, uh, Abbott of Texas, the governor there credit. He 0.99

00:28:54.160 handled 4 million people without whining at all. And if you ask Democrats, well, what would you do

00:29:00.400 with these migrants? Why, why not disperse them around? They just look at you like, you're crazy. 1.00

00:29:04.660 They, they like their plan. Well, let them sleep under bridges outside of El Paso. That, that was

00:29:10.040 their plan for these migrants. Well, I, you know, as we wrap up here, I do want to talk about a good

00:29:18.040 friend of yours, a man I worked with a lot over the course of years. And that's a Bernard McGurk.

00:29:24.160 Uh, who passed away suddenly. Uh, yeah, I'd like just get your thoughts on, on Bernie and, uh,

00:29:31.060 uh, and your, and your, and your thoughts right now. Well, he was a producer of the Imus show for

00:29:37.140 years where he displayed not only this incredible sense of humor, but he was a brilliant guy.

00:29:42.180 Nobody could handle Imus or stand up to Imus like this guy. Bernard McGurk. He did the Cardinal. He did

00:29:47.500 all those great characters, the funniest guy, brilliant guy, and the most beloved guy I've ever seen.

00:29:52.820 Your lifetime in the broadcasting business. Can you name anybody who everybody liked? Every single

00:29:58.200 employee liked? Every executive liked? Nobody disliked Bernie. Not anybody. It's absolutely true.

00:30:04.880 Bernie, uh, and working with, with Don Imus, I'm telling you, uh, it, that was a chore and a half

00:30:13.180 for everybody. Uh, and he kept his humor throughout. Uh, he, he kept his sense of, uh, his sense of humor,

00:30:21.940 his sense of proportion as well. Uh, it was just wonderful. He and, uh, Charles McCord, uh,

00:30:29.540 among my very favorites. And of course, Bernie working, uh, with, uh, Sid at, uh, 770 WABC radio,

00:30:37.420 uh, here in New York, uh, a great show. And I know that they will miss him, uh, greatly as,

00:30:43.880 as all of us who, uh, had an opportunity to, to get to know him, uh, for time. Bernard, uh,

00:30:51.180 McGurk. We, uh, we thank you for that, Mark. Uh, it, it's, uh, always great to, uh, you know,

00:30:58.640 to run into people who are that solid and that, that nice a human being. And he is certainly,

00:31:03.700 uh, that person, uh, as are you, sir, Mark Simone, uh, Mr. New York, always a pleasure to have you

00:31:12.440 with us. You get the last word here as you do every single time you and I talk.

00:31:17.120 I'm glad the podcast was invented because I love them. And this is one of my very favorites.

00:31:21.900 And I love the fact that you got time and you got plenty of space to really, uh, get into detail.

00:31:26.640 And I love this podcast. I listen all the time and thanks for having me on.

00:31:31.080 Mark. Thank you very much. We appreciate it. Always. Uh, take care of my friend. God bless you.

00:31:36.600 Thanks. Thanks everybody. Thanks Mark. And hope you'll join us here tomorrow

00:31:41.760 when our guest will be Jim Marchant running for secretary of state in Nevada. He's trying to

00:31:47.740 clear up Nevada's electoral system. And as you might expect, he's run into a little opposition.

00:31:53.460 He's in a heck of a battle there in Nevada. Please join us here tomorrow. Until then,

00:31:58.000 God bless you and may God bless America.
