00:01:18.340 Hello, everybody. I'm Lou Dobbs and welcome to The Great America Show. 1,300 Israelis have been 0.99

00:01:28.840 killed, more than 3,000 wounded, almost 30 Americans killed in Israel since the war with Hamas began

00:01:35.880 just a week ago with the invasion by the terrorists of Hamas from Gaza. Israel is now vowing that it will 0.72

00:01:44.260 not relent until every Hamas member is dead. Netanyahu says Hamas is ISIS and like ISIS, Hamas will be 0.88

00:01:53.720 defeated.

00:01:54.760 And they are ISIS. They will be destroyed. The way we destroyed, the world destroyed ISIS, we will do 1.00

00:02:03.540 that with Hamas. I ask you all to support the fighters, the warriors. All the people of Israel

00:02:13.920 are behind you or the nation of Israel. And I tell the citizens of Israel and to my colleagues here,

00:02:20.420 and I tell all of you, each one will help. In the words of the prophet Joshua, each one will help

00:02:30.860 each other. The nation of Israel lives and together, unified, we will win.

00:02:39.320 Reportedly, Hamas has been plotting these attacks on Israel for the past two years.

00:02:44.300 And Egyptian intelligence officials say they warned Israel of the attack, the planned attack,

00:02:51.120 days before it happened. Israeli defense officials deny the report. President Trump speaking to his

00:02:58.620 supporters, saying that Netanyahu let the Israelis down when he didn't follow the intelligence. Trump

00:03:05.940 also not holding back on Netanyahu when he refused to help the United States kill Iran's Qasem Soleimani.

00:03:14.540 While Trump was president. I'll never forget that Bibi Netanyahu let us down. That was a very

00:03:21.580 terrible thing. I will say that. And so when I see sometimes the intelligence, you talk about the

00:03:27.860 intelligence or you talk about some of the things that went wrong over the last week, they've got to

00:03:33.220 straighten it out because they're fighting potentially a very big force. They're fighting

00:03:37.160 potentially Iran. And when they have people saying the wrong things, everything they say is being

00:03:44.940 digested by these people because they're vicious and they're smart. And boy, are they vicious because

00:03:49.940 nobody's ever seen the kind of site that we've seen. Nobody's ever seen it. But they cannot play

00:03:55.940 games. So we were disappointed by that. Very disappointed. But we did the job ourself and it was

00:04:00.580 absolute precision, magnificent, beautiful job. And then Bibi tried to take credit for it. That

00:04:08.680 wasn't good. That didn't make me feel too good, but that's all right. So they got to strengthen

00:04:13.920 themselves up. The Biden regime never ceases to make a crisis worse. It seems Biden's State

00:04:20.060 Department is forcing all Americans trapped in Israel to sign promissory notes to repay all travel

00:04:26.700 costs if they decide to be rescued by the U.S. government. Imagine that. The Biden regime gives

00:04:33.520 billions of dollars to Ukraine and illegal immigrants, but stranded Americans in Israel, not a dime.

00:04:41.760 Our first guest today is Barack Shmuel. He is in Ascalon, Israel. Barack's friend was murdered by 0.72

00:04:50.280 Hamas terrorists when he went out to surf as the attacks began. Barack joins us now to

00:04:56.320 give us an update of what's going on in his country. And I want to first say, Barack, that I'm very sorry

00:05:02.680 for your loss. I'm very sorry for what the people of Israel are going through right now. Give us a

00:05:09.600 sense of what happened and when you understood clearly that Israel was under attack.

00:05:16.140 It started out Saturday morning. I go out every Saturday morning, me and a few friends, we go and

00:05:23.360 we work out preparing for the army. And on our way there, we had a siren. But that's not something that

00:05:30.600 we're not used to. We're in Ascalon, we get sirens all the time. So when we got to cover, but then

00:05:38.020 just the explosions were way, way louder and everything was much more intense. I was I was really

00:05:45.940 confused what was going on. Made a run to get home, got caught two times. It was pretty scary.

00:05:53.920 But when I got home, all of a sudden, I'm starting to see these videos of terrorists in the in cities.

00:06:02.080 And at first, I'd like to be completely honest, I laughed. I thought someone was like, they were

00:06:06.280 joking. These were people who were with caught like costumes didn't make any sense to me.

00:06:09.680 And then it kept on coming. And it kept on coming. And it would not stop. And I was alone at the time

00:06:20.780 my mother was in Italy. So I kind of just went into like a safety mode. I just locked the house. I

00:06:29.080 checked to make sure no one's around scared out of my mind, like completely working only on adrenaline.

00:06:34.760 I was absolutely terrified. But that's when I realized what was going on. These videos that were

00:06:42.840 just absolutely terrible. And as you're rushing home, did you see any of the terrorists? Did you see

00:06:52.060 activity that confirmed to you your worst suspicions? I in the beginning, it wasn't in my city,

00:07:01.160 which I'm so very thankful for. The rockets, though, I saw them and it was it was I'm used to it. But it's

00:07:09.660 it's always a little bit scary. You know, you're outside. I see them just above my head today, multiple

00:07:14.480 times. And every single moment that happens, there's always that. Oh, my God. Like, what if it hits? So

00:07:23.560 you have friends who are in the Israeli Defense Force. Are they are they now being called up in your

00:07:35.480 community around your neighbors, your your your family? Yeah, everyone, everyone is everyone

00:07:44.060 also wishes they could be there. That's the thing. My, my older cousin, he's like my older brother,

00:07:49.680 we are we're like this. He's in a special forces unit. He was in Costa Rica. They got a flight

00:07:56.600 immediately back and he's there now. And I'm very proud of him. And I wish I could be right there

00:08:02.340 next to him with a gun protecting my country. And that's what everyone else would tell you.

00:08:07.360 We all wish we could be there. Well, that is to your credit and your your fellow citizens.

00:08:15.120 Are the sirens still still going? The rockets still flying? You're what Ashkelon is northern,

00:08:25.040 the northernmost area of the Gaza area anyway. Yeah, I today I had multiple, multiple rockets

00:08:33.680 caught catching me outside. Yesterday was a little bit scarier. I heard gunshots,

00:08:38.840 multiple gunshots. There were terrorists in my city. Luckily, they were caught.

00:08:42.640 Um, it was it's scary. It's it's continuing. And I know it is. And it will continue. But we'll take

00:08:51.280 care of it eventually. I don't have it down my mind. And we know you will. What are you being told?

00:08:58.320 Have you got a sense of the fight itself that is going on? We know that the IDF is preparing,

00:09:06.640 obviously, to go into into Gaza is Netanyahu has said that he wants every member of Hamas dead.

00:09:20.000 Give us your your emotions and your understanding of what's going on.

00:09:26.160 My understanding is that situation that has come upon us is devastating and possibly the worst,

00:09:34.560 one of the worst this country has ever had. But we will do whatever is necessary to

00:09:43.200 ensure the safety for years to come. So whatever needs to be done shall be done. I am worried sick

00:09:50.960 for my friends that are that are going to be there. I have multiple friends, my older my cousin,

00:09:55.840 great, very close friends of mine that are have been there, have been in firefights.

00:10:04.640 It's scared out of my mind. But at the end of the day, you know, this is they're fighting for our

00:10:09.120 country, our country. And I whatever needs to be done will be done. And that's it.

00:10:15.200 Well, I can hear the pride in your voice, your patriotism, I have to tell you, Barack is inspiring

00:10:25.600 and gives us great confidence that Israel will do what it must. We thank you for your time. And we wish

00:10:33.760 you all of the very best. Everyone in Israel, you are all in our prayers.

00:10:40.400 Thank you very much, Barack Shmuel. Thank you for joining us from Ascalon, Israel. We're all praying

00:10:48.640 for you and the people of Israel. Please stay with us. We'll be right back when we continue the Biden

00:10:55.120 regime apparently blocking that $6 billion, which they had gifted Iran. We'll be right back.

00:11:02.640 We're back now. And thank you for staying with us. The Biden Treasury Department claiming that the

00:11:13.120 $6 billion Biden had ordered be released to Iran didn't happen. And Treasury officials now telling

00:11:20.080 us that they successfully blocked the transfer of that payment from Qatar to the Hamas. Well,

00:11:28.000 the attacks on Israel continue. The Biden regime has denied they possess any knowledge that Iran helped

00:11:34.240 Hamas with those attacks on Israel, despite claims from Hamas that Iran was involved in the planning,

00:11:40.880 the financing and support of those attacks. Those attacks unrelenting Israel under attack day and night, 0.72

00:11:48.000 Hamas launching rockets into Israel, terrorists still infiltrating the border and crossing over from Gaza.

00:11:54.960 And now Israelis are all in one way or another in the fight of their lives. Joining us now is Dr.

00:12:01.600 Eli David. He's coming to us from Tel Aviv, Israel. And it's great to have you with us, Eli, on the

00:12:07.920 Great American Show. I realize with this war that these are unbelievably stressful times for

00:12:14.080 everyone in Israel. I appreciate you taking time to talk with us. I want to point out to our listeners

00:12:19.680 that Tel Aviv is only 50 miles from the border of the Gaza Strip. If you would give us a sense of your

00:12:26.320 state of mind, your emotions as you watch your country and your fellow citizens and yourself under

00:12:32.960 attack by these Hamas terrorists. Thank you, Lou. Great to be here. It is difficult to express in words 1.00

00:12:41.600 what the people, me, everyone feels here. It is like in the past few days, every day, I wake up in the

00:12:50.080 morning after just a few hours of sleep. And for a few seconds, I just wish or tell myself that was just

00:12:58.240 a nightmare. It could not possibly happen. It is so mind-bogglingly horrendous that the mind

00:13:06.880 does not grasp it is even possible. And for this nation, this country that was founded on the ethos of

00:13:16.720 never again after Holocaust, we're all feeling that we're back then. These are the kind of 0.97

00:13:24.400 kind of crimes, kind of savage behavior that since the Holocaust, we have not witnessed. So that is

00:13:37.280 more or less the feeling of the entire nation here. Well, we feel for you. And to listen to

00:13:46.320 your prime minister speak of retaliation with just a clarity of voice, I think I'll just speak for

00:13:56.800 myself. I have to tell you, I'm so glad that he is the prime minister right now, because he seems to

00:14:04.000 be one with the state of Israel. And I think his leadership has never been more needed. Your thoughts

00:14:12.000 about that statement? Well, no doubt there was a tremendous intelligence failure, military failure,

00:14:23.760 government failure. Nobody's arguing with that, even people from the top of intelligence, military,

00:14:31.520 and government. We allowed our citizens, over a thousand of them being slaughtered in their homes,

00:14:41.040 just like the Holocaust. But there is a difference.

00:14:44.240 We now are a sovereign state. We can defend ourselves. We are not going to continue to die

00:14:53.600 like sheep, as it happened to us in the 1940s. The entire nation has come together. You expect

00:15:01.200 when the war is going to start, everyone to flee the country. Everyone I know of is coming back to 1.00

00:15:09.680 Israel, not just people who are going to fight in the military. The elderly, they're cutting their 0.99

00:15:15.360 vacation short. They're finding flights with three to four connections just to be here. The country is

00:15:22.160 united. Military intelligence, government, all those disagreements we had prior to this

00:15:30.320 to this. These events, they're no longer relevant. And I think everyone is behind the government. And now,

00:15:40.320 thankfully, we have this. The other main leaders of the opposition also joined it. So,

00:15:48.480 the entire nation is looking forward to dealing with this

00:15:52.720 And I hope that the Israeli people are aware of the support that they are getting

00:16:05.280 from even an administration that was not particularly aligned with Netanyahu or the state of Israel.

00:16:12.400 But immediately, the Biden administration dispatching the Gerald R. Ford aircraft carrier,

00:16:18.480 the strike force, bringing in munitions as quickly as they could be put together and shipped into the

00:16:27.920 Israeli Defense Force. I hope that there is that sense that the United States is with the people of Israel.

00:16:38.240 Indeed. Indeed. The entire nation is very appreciative of the support of the world,

00:16:45.360 but especially and orders of magnitude above all the others, the United States. In these moments

00:16:53.280 that we find ourselves and in the worst place we could have been since the Holocaust,

00:17:01.120 we see a strong United States behind us. And it makes all the difference. You know,

00:17:08.720 it was just not about Hamas. I think it's a much, much bigger thing. Iran is behind that, 1.00

00:17:15.120 trying to foil the Israeli-Saudi peace agreement. Hezbollah might get involved. They will do just about 0.99

00:17:23.120 everything to meddle here. And having United States with all the fleet and the aircraft carrier,

00:17:31.680 another aircraft carrier also approaching, this is a very clear signal to the Middle East and to that

00:17:38.880 one nation. As Biden said, don't, don't intervene.

00:17:45.520 You and I have talked over the years about many subjects, but one of the areas that we have talked

00:17:55.280 about is understanding the occurrence of modern life, whether it be in Europe or the Middle East or

00:18:05.680 the United States. When you mentioned that the intelligence failure of Mossad,

00:18:12.560 we've experienced in America, a lot of failures of our intelligence agencies and September 11th,

00:18:20.160 the foremost amongst them, without a doubt. But there is also great respect around the world for

00:18:28.080 your fighting forces, the Israeli defense forces, the Mossad. Are you, are you confident that Israel is 0.98

00:18:36.640 prepared to take this to its, uh, in my judgment, rightful conclusion, which is full retaliation for

00:18:45.120 what, uh, Hamas and Iran, its sponsor, uh, have, uh, have, have done?

00:18:51.280 There is no doubt that Israel has the full capability of doing that. And it had that, 0.97

00:19:00.160 but it's just a matter of having the will to do that, not just the capability. For the past two

00:19:06.000 decades, what, what Israel did was, vis-a-vis Hamas, was a bit like what Winston Churchill said,

00:19:14.480 an appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile, hoping it will eat him last. Uh, there were hopes that,

00:19:21.280 well, Hamas is not a terror organization. When day in and day out, they say massacre the Jews,

00:19:29.280 they don't really mean that. What they mean is that, uh, they want to do a PR, they want to show

00:19:36.800 that they care about all those things, but really they just want to govern. But now we saw that we

00:19:44.240 actually should listen to our enemies, not interpret it in our own liberal, civilized world and listen

00:19:52.480 to what we want to listen. They said, and they say it for years, we want to massacre Jews. That is 0.97

00:20:00.640 exactly what they did. So now I think it's a kind of moment of disillusionment for entire country.

00:20:08.160 My friends who are at the liberal left, even extreme left, all of them now say that,

00:20:13.840 yes, we made a mistake. We thought we could coexist with these people. We made a mistake. It's

00:20:19.760 impossible. So now the will part, the entire nation is united behind the will. And I'm confident that

00:20:27.840 we have the capability. We're talking with Dr. Eli David from Tel Aviv. We'll be right back.

00:20:34.560 We're back with Dr. Eli David. Eli, it is, uh, your, your family, uh, your friends, business associates,

00:20:48.960 uh, are they, uh, have you, uh, are they all safe?

00:20:54.880 My close family indeed were safe, but I know colleagues, friends, um, a good friend who have lost

00:21:05.840 children there in that party. Now hundreds of innocent youngsters that their crime was that they are

00:21:13.120 at a party there. They were just slaughtered. They have a friend, uh, lost a daughter there. I have

00:21:18.640 another friend who has his own, his two elderly parents. They're both above 80 years old. They've

00:21:25.040 both been kidnapped. Every Israeli knows someone who has a close family member killed or kidnapped.

00:21:35.280 The stories that you hear are just heart wrenching. Yeah. It is the video that we all see that we've

00:21:44.640 seen, uh, what we're seeing the American, the American people right now, looking at that video,

00:21:51.360 uh, have to be thinking also about their Southern border right now. Uh, that is wide open. Uh, you had

00:21:57.920 great, uh, arguably great defenses, uh, and detectors, uh, uh, along the, uh, the Gaza strip, uh, and they

00:22:07.840 failed. We have a wide open border, 2000 miles long now, uh, that is under the control of the Mexican 0.92

00:22:14.960 drug cartels. Uh, as you, as you are in the midst of this, the shock I know has to be extraordinary,

00:22:23.120 but your leadership right now, uh, you feel that you have the resources, you have the manpower,

00:22:29.840 uh, you're talking about a half million, uh, reservists and a regular, uh, IDF, uh, being

00:22:37.440 brought up, uh, getting ready for war, uh, a war that they, I'm sure to feel that they're just now

00:22:44.880 joining, uh, because they mean, it seems based on Netanyahu's statements, uh, that to level, uh,

00:22:52.560 the Gaza Strip. Uh, what is, what is your thinking? You know, Gaza Strip has a border

00:23:00.960 with Egypt. Israel doesn't control it, nowhere even near it. It's just between Gaza and Egypt.

00:23:08.160 So Egypt can just open the border and allow the so-called, uh, innocent civilian refugees 1.00

00:23:16.880 to flee into Egypt, but it's not doing that. Egypt has imposed strict blockade there.

00:23:25.200 You know why? Because Egypt knows very well that these people, given the opportunity,

00:23:31.280 they will just as gladly slaughter Egyptians too. When we are dealing with this fundamental ideology, 0.95

00:23:39.680 Israel may be at the forefront of that, but it will be everywhere. Given the opportunity, 0.50

00:23:44.800 the same masses who celebrated these atrocities in, in London, in Paris, in New York, given the

00:23:53.600 opportunity, they will do the exact same thing in Europe and in North America. So let Israel and what 0.58

00:24:01.200 happened here to be a wake up call to all the wokes, to all the people who tell stories to themselves 0.98

00:24:07.520 about diversity, inclusion, multiculturalism. Now, when the, um, the terrorists slaughtered young

00:24:16.320 men, women, children, babies, elderly, they didn't ask them if they're right-wing or left-wing,

00:24:22.960 religious or secular, what is their pro-peace or anti-peace. They didn't care about that.

00:24:29.440 The same may happen and will happen all over the world if we don't wake up.

00:24:35.280 And you're, you use the expression wake up because we have been slumbering, uh, and you know, it's as

00:24:43.360 if we all forgot that there are radical Islamist terrorists, uh, throughout the world. Uh, and we know

00:24:49.920 that many of them have come into, to the United States in the course of just the past three years.

00:24:54.800 As, as we, you know, as we watch what's happening in Israel and our hearts go out to you, uh, but our

00:25:03.360 blood also boils. I want you to know, um, this cannot, uh, you know, you said it, the ethos of, of

00:25:11.920 Israel never again, this had better be never again, because this is, uh, this cannot be tolerated.

00:25:20.800 I hear the United nations, uh, uh, uh, talking about under these conventions that you cannot

00:25:25.840 retaliate. Uh, I, I believe truly that, that the Israeli people must retaliate, uh, for their 1.00

00:25:36.080 own existence. Uh, I mean, this is now existential. Uh, we are looking at forces that have awesome

00:25:42.720 power to array against anyone, including the United States and to tolerate the, this, this madness.

00:25:50.800 Uh, that has gripped, uh, so much of, uh, Europe, uh, the Middle East, uh, this, this, uh, hemisphere,

00:25:59.120 the Western hemisphere, uh, it's, it's frightening indeed. And people had better be frightened because

00:26:05.520 I think you're exactly right. Uh, we are looking at the consequences of for even a moment, uh, thinking

00:26:12.560 that, uh, we are reliably safe, no matter, no matter the precaution. There is no safety in

00:26:21.920 telling us stories about how the world should look or how we, we would like it to look. We should look

00:26:30.560 at the world as it is and take action accordingly. Even right now, uh, can you imagine that the day

00:26:39.440 after 9-11, Osama Bin Laden and his henchmen would be hosted as official guests of one of the close 0.76

00:26:49.280 U.S. allies and give press conferences? You cannot imagine that, right?

00:26:55.040 Right. Do you know where are all the Hamas leadership right now? They're all hosted officially

00:27:04.080 in Doha, the capital of Qatar, which according to the official U.S. policy is one of the closest

00:27:12.160 non-NATO allies of the U.S. So a close ally of the U.S., so-called ally, the ally of the West,

00:27:20.800 is these days, as we speak, officially hosting all the leadership of Hamas, press conferences,

00:27:27.760 the video the other day that they're watching TV, looking at these, uh, atrocities and just laughing

00:27:35.440 and praying God, thanking him for that, in the middle of the capital of our friend. So this shows

00:27:43.040 me that even though the Western world maybe has waken up a bit, it is not complete. Now, if you look

00:27:51.360 at it as it is, you would have expected the entire world, the Western world, especially the U.S.,

00:27:56.320 to tell the Qatari government that you must arrest all of these criminals the same day. Definitely not

00:28:02.560 host them and fund them with billions of dollars. So I'm afraid we're still quite far from the kind of

00:28:10.080 realistic view of the world as we should get at. We are looking at a war. I see it as good versus

00:28:19.680 evil. How do you see this, this war? And how long do you think the fight will go on?

00:28:26.640 It is good versus evil. For years, for decades, all the educated woke liberals are telling us that

00:28:39.200 it is more complex than that. There are nuances to that. Well, there are no nuances when you see

00:28:46.960 this kind of crimes. When you see 9-11, there are no nuances there. It is good versus evil. I think

00:28:55.440 Israel with the support of the U.S. Israel should go all in. You cannot stop halfway. You cannot, when 0.85

00:29:04.320 fighting the Nazi crime machine, you cannot say, okay, we liberated France and Poland. That's it. Now, 0.86

00:29:13.680 now let's stop. Let's reason with these guys. The moment some people, some terrorists, get to some

00:29:22.480 level of criminality, they tell you there is no way you can talk to them. So the only way forward

00:29:30.000 is to finish them. And if that does not happen, that would be the complete, and these are strong words,

00:29:36.800 this would be the complete moral bankruptcy of the Jewish state. 0.71

00:29:41.760 And I think a fateful decision for the existence of Israel and, by the way, democracy throughout the

00:29:51.200 world. We pray for your safety, for the good people of Israel, for your victory in this, and even

00:30:02.160 achieving victory, I know, will not seem like recompense for the tragedy that has befallen you.
