00:00:00.000 Hello everybody, I'm Lou Dobbs and welcome to the Great America Show. We're just over six months
00:00:06.300 from the midterm elections. November 8th is election day, or in quite a number of states,
00:00:12.600 the main event date. Republicans aren't quick learners, it seems, at least the ones at the
00:00:17.660 Republican National Committee. Great work, RNC. The optimists in the GOP are talking about a wave
00:00:25.240 election, a landslide of epic dimensions, taking somewhere between 30 to 70 seats in the House,
00:00:33.460 as many as four to seven seats in the Senate. Realists are talking about unreal expectations
00:00:39.540 and the danger that that might create for Republicans if they're too confident, if they're
00:00:46.000 less motivated to get to the polls. So there you are, and then there's real life. White House politics
00:00:53.240 and the spectacle of a puppet president doing the bidding daily of his Marxist leftist masters
00:00:59.460 who pull the strings of not only Biden, but all of those around him. A scary moment for the Biden
00:01:08.140 management crew, though. One of their puppets got wildly out of control the other day. Dr. Tony
00:01:14.900 Fauci, or as we like to call him here on the Great America Show, Dr. Fauci, also known as Mr. Science,
00:01:23.220 he actually declared the pandemic over in America. Great news from the little fella who's normally
00:01:30.840 cautioning us about impending doom and gloom. So his sunny pronouncement of the end of America's
00:01:38.320 pandemic brought joy to our hearts, and panic then raced through the entire White House.
00:01:45.000 Their re-election strategy depends, of course, almost totally on keeping those thousands of ballot
00:01:51.660 drop boxes on the streets of Democrat strongholds and unsuspecting cities and towns all across
00:01:58.980 America, and have months to flood voters with millions of blank votes by mail ballots. Sweet.
00:02:07.140 You can imagine the fear on the faces of the Marxist tools in the Biden White House.
00:02:12.220 With the end of the pandemic, there would be no drop boxes, no piles of ballots waiting for the
00:02:18.680 traffickers to stuff those drop boxes and changing the voting period back to just one day. Now, that
00:02:25.520 would be a killer when you have thousands of ballots to fill out and stuff them. The Biden solution?
00:02:32.220 Get Fauci to quickly change the science and admit he misspoke. That took just about a day.
00:02:38.560 Mr. Science is nothing if not a political hack. And within a day, he was rolling back his statements,
00:02:46.540 all of them. And within 24 hours had changed his declaration to we're not out of the pandemic yet.
00:02:54.500 Maybe right after the election was his implication, saying we're in a different moment with the pandemic,
00:03:01.500 just a different phase. What he wanted to say a day after declaring the pandemic ended was something
00:03:08.140 like this. The crazy China and Wuhan virus is actually raging through America now, spreading
00:03:15.080 disease so fast and wildly that we'll never escape the China virus in America. That is the effect of
00:03:22.460 what he did say after 24 hours. And the Republicans, as usual, can't keep up with the Marxist Dems
00:03:29.780 to call out their rabid political corruption. They still don't have their own set of doctors or
00:03:35.460 Mr. and Mrs. scientists to balance the BS of Biden radicals, including Dr. Tony Fauci.
00:03:43.080 You know, the Republicans have to win, but they're not very clever about counting votes where the Dems
00:03:49.360 have a gift, don't they? With us today, our guest is John McLaughlin, great Republican strategist
00:03:55.760 and an A++ pollster. And he has brought with him his latest polling. And John, it's a delight to have
00:04:04.100 you back here on the Great America Show. John McLaughlin, great to have you with us here on the Great
00:04:10.500 America Show. You've just finished your monthly polling and give us, if you will, your most impressive
00:04:21.040 sounding as a result of that poll.
00:04:24.080 Well, I think the big indication of it's a thousand likely voters, people are going to vote
00:04:31.340 this November across the country. And politically, it's very good for the Republicans, very good for
00:04:38.940 even President Trump looking to 2024. But it's not good for the country in that two thirds of the
00:04:45.820 voters still think we're on the wrong track, 64% to only 32% right direction. And, you know,
00:04:52.740 you had a number come out on the quarter that the economy is not growing anymore. It's shrinking,
00:04:58.040 actually. Right. And 52% of all voters think that the country's in a recession. And they think that
00:05:06.400 the economy is getting worse, not better, 67% worse to only 25% better. And Joe Biden, for the fourth
00:05:16.300 month in a row, only has a 41% job approval and a 57% disapproval. Now, this is a thousand likely
00:05:24.360 voters and it's modeled after the last presidential election. So 51% of these voters had voted for Biden
00:05:30.980 in 2020. And, you know, the Democrats outnumber the Republicans by a point. And so you've got a
00:05:41.840 situation here where it's, you know, quite bad for the Democrats in that and quite bad for Biden
00:05:49.780 in that they're upside down and there is a Democrat floor right now. But you wonder if he can crack that
00:05:56.940 floor because his numbers historically, they over the past year where he flipped, they were getting
00:06:03.740 worse as the year went on, but it flipped with the surrender of Afghanistan. Right. And you wonder now
00:06:10.140 with the Russian war that Putin is threatening NATO countries now. He's cutting off the gas to
00:06:20.200 Poland. He's cutting off the gas to Bulgaria. He's intimidating NATO countries not to send weapons to
00:06:26.820 Ukraine. He's threatening military action against NATO nations. If Joe Biden does not back up NATO, you could see
00:06:37.120 him even, you know, his, his, his, his low approval ratings get even lower because, you know, you look
00:06:45.440 at the border in the United States, you look at crime across the United States, there's a state of
00:06:50.360 insecurity. You look at the economy where people are worried about the price of essential items like
00:06:56.080 food and gas every day. And, and, you know, the, although the Democrats think there's a floor here
00:07:02.600 that Biden can get better and he can't get worse, he can get worse. And it could be historically worse.
00:07:09.600 It's really bad for the country. You know, you make a very interesting point on the role of the Afghan
00:07:15.840 debacle as he tried to get out of Kabul far too quickly and too recklessly and ignored thousands of
00:07:27.920 Americans that he left behind. That's all on him. That can't change. It's indelible. I believe, at least
00:07:34.120 in the voters' minds, we have a couple of potential AF Afghanistan possibilities that are looming. One is
00:07:44.800 the title four is lifted. Then as many as anywhere between five and 7 million illegals could come into
00:07:52.120 the country. Uh, it's, it's, it's a very disturbing possibility. I would think for Biden, but it's a more disturbing
00:08:00.120 possibility for the country.
00:08:02.480 Yes. And, and it's, it's fueling. And what's amazing is that the, the, the, the human trafficking, the drug smuggling,
00:08:09.840 the, the, the record number of fentanyl deaths in the country, uh, the cartels are making a fortune and voters who are
00:08:17.120 going to go to the polls this year in Texas, uh, Arizona, even New Mexico, as well as California,
00:08:23.960 they're being invaded. It's not just, uh, when you read public opinion polls in those States,
00:08:29.980 it's not just the feeling of crimes going up or there's illegal immigration at the border. No,
00:08:36.020 this is an invasion and it's not just, uh, you know, people who are coming here, like the Biden
00:08:42.260 administration would say, well, they're coming here for a better life, economic opportunity. No,
00:08:45.840 there's people that are coming in from other countries that they're, there's terrorists among
00:08:50.580 them. There's people that want to do us harm. There's, there's gang members, there's cartel
00:08:56.020 members. I mean, this is an invasion of bad people. Uh, there may be a lot of good people that are
00:09:01.780 looking to escape where they've came, come from and go and try to find economic opportunity,
00:09:06.700 but they're not doing it properly. They're not being vetted. And as you said, if they repeal title 42,
00:09:11.980 it's, you know, uh, really bad for this country and, uh, the voters are going to take action.
00:09:17.560 I'm working. I'm always, uh, forthright. And, uh, I'm working for Jim Lehman, who's running for
00:09:23.380 Senate in Arizona. And he's the front runner now in the Republican primary, precisely because he's
00:09:28.460 taken such a strong stand on immigration. And he's been endorsed by, uh, Brandon Judd from the
00:09:34.640 border patrol and Tom Holman. The border patrol union, right? Yes. Yes. And, uh, the, their union
00:09:41.600 has endorsed them. And, uh, you know, he's, he's, he's a strong Trump supporter. He's been very
00:09:46.820 adamant that they, they've got to build the wall again, but there's, uh, um, there's actions that
00:09:52.080 the gut, like governor Abbott, he's putting his national guard on the border and it's already cost
00:09:56.980 him one guardsman's life who had to jump into the Rio Grande to try to save some people's lives. And
00:10:02.300 the poor man drowned. And, and it's, uh, it's going to get worse. And the people he was trying
00:10:07.780 to save turned out were drug dealers. Uh, it's, it's, there's just one tragedy after another on
00:10:14.740 that border because it's corrupt, uh, on both sides of that river on both sides of that border.
00:10:21.460 And the, the political parties in this country won't come to terms with it. The Republicans for
00:10:28.180 whatever reason are afraid to say what this is that Biden, his administration is Marxist,
00:10:36.400 uh, without any question, uh, whatever they're, whenever they're supporting CRT, the, uh, black
00:10:43.120 lives matter, these organizations and this philosophy and ideology that's being peddled is Marxist.
00:10:51.400 They're trying to destroy institutions. They're trying, uh, there is anti-America as any,
00:10:58.320 as we have seen in any moment, uh, in, in this country's modern history.
00:11:05.500 Absolutely. Have to agree with that because when you look at, you know, they're, they're trying to,
00:11:11.400 uh, you know, their promotion of trying to orient, you know, they're trying to groom young children,
00:11:16.860 uh, about transgenderism, et cetera. I mean, there's no sense for that except like with black
00:11:23.140 lives matter, that their leadership is a good aspiration, but their leadership will tell you
00:11:27.820 on their webpage right off the bat that they don't want to have the nuclear family anymore
00:11:32.300 because they are Marxists and this open borders thing. It's all about, you know, breaking down our
00:11:38.080 border, breaking down our sense of, of nationalism. And, uh, you know, I mean, they're going after
00:11:43.880 American institutions, whether it's the family, whether it's, uh, the military, whether it's,
00:11:48.860 uh, uh, you know, law enforcement, uh, you know, Americans have had it. And basically, I mean,
00:11:54.340 like when we were talking about this poll, the Republicans are ahead 48, 43, they should be
00:11:58.980 winning even more in the generic ballot for Congress. Um, you know, Donald Trump, if the election
00:12:04.980 was held today, Trump would beat Biden, uh, uh, decisively. It wouldn't, you know, wouldn't be
00:12:10.880 close where, uh, uh, he'd win 50 to 43. He beats Kamala Harris, 51, 41. She's upside down. She's
00:12:17.520 only 38 favorable, 54 unfavorable. Uh, he would be, we tested Pete Buttigieg. He would beat
00:12:23.600 Buttigieg 49, 39. Um, the Democrats are really, uh, they're leaderless and their policies are just
00:12:31.920 taking the country under, and they're going to take them under as a political party that the Republicans,
00:12:36.440 if they stand for the right things like securing the border, uh, again, getting rid of cashless
00:12:43.620 bail, putting criminals, particularly those who commit crimes, whether they're guns, drug dealers,
00:12:47.880 or, uh, whatever gangs, they, they need to be in jail, not on the streets, not re-released and,
00:12:54.300 uh, nationally, militarily, uh, you know, America has to be, if not respected, they have to be feared
00:13:02.000 in the world where if you want to, if you want to threaten us or our allies, uh, you know, you're
00:13:07.820 going to have a strong American military, uh, tell, you know, whether you're Vladimir Putin or whether
00:13:13.140 you're, uh, uh, you know, Iran, they want to get nuclear weapons again. I mean, Joe Biden and his
00:13:19.360 administration are just doing unbelievable damage to the country right now.
00:13:23.260 I can't think, and John, I, I'm anxious to answer you this question. Can you think of any single
00:13:31.300 major issue and by major that is, uh, top of mind and in most citizens, uh, view, uh, on any issue,
00:13:42.080 this administration isn't doing the exact opposite of what would be expected of an American president.
00:13:48.340 Every, every single issue he's dealing with and his policy on that issue seems to be aimed at
00:13:56.800 destruction. Is there an exception to that? I can't, I really, I can't think of one where
00:14:05.580 he deserves bipartisan support. I mean, it's just, they've taken every good intention,
00:14:11.500 whether it was infrastructure and turned it into some sort of social welfare program that has nothing
00:14:16.660 to do with infrastructure. And that was one thing where he might've been able to do something good
00:14:22.160 on. And fortunately, Joe Manchin, some Democrats stood up to him on that, but, uh, you know, I can't
00:14:28.060 think of anything. And what you have to look at is the corruption because, you know, in this poll,
00:14:34.160 60% of all voters think Biden should take a cognitive test and make it public. So they're worried about
00:14:40.140 his cognitive ability. But on the other hand, uh, underneath it is the corruption where when you
00:14:48.080 wonder about, I've read recently in the house Republicans have, have asked for an explanation
00:14:53.060 where, uh, the sanctions against, uh, the Russian oligarchs and Putin supporters, they don't sanction
00:15:00.540 the former mayor of Moscow's wife who had Hunter Biden on the payroll. And now you're seeing,
00:15:07.380 you know, when the New York times and the Washington post acknowledged, Oh gee, that laptop did exist.
00:15:13.360 Um, and there are, there is bad stuff on it. It's in, and it's incriminating. Uh, you know,
00:15:20.000 when they start doing that, you're seeing signs that it's cracking inside the Democrat party,
00:15:24.680 that that corruption is really costing us. Um, it's costing us a lot economically, a lot morally,
00:15:31.360 a lot, uh, uh, culturally where you wonder, uh, if this is really the Manchurian candidate where they,
00:15:39.200 they do have him compromised in such a way that, you know, he's letting China advance its, uh,
00:15:46.900 uh, it's, its goals in the United States. They're still spying on the United States.
00:15:51.340 They'll steal that technology whenever they can. They'll aid and abet big tech when they want to
00:15:56.200 silence conservatives. And, uh, you wonder about how deep the corruption is because they've
00:16:03.240 compromised, uh, not just Hunter Biden, but the Biden family and the president himself.
00:16:08.400 And then you have a situation in which after basically, uh, being ignored by the,
00:16:14.920 you know, the national left-wing corporate media for four years, we learned that there has been a tax
00:16:23.340 evasion grand jury working on Hunter Biden four years, the U S attorney's office in Delaware,
00:16:30.180 and they still haven't come up with a charge and they haven't, uh, I can't even, I've never heard
00:16:38.120 of a grand jury being in session for four years on one charge. And I don't care who the public figure
00:16:45.760 is. This is just obvious, rampant, rancid political corruption. Yeah.
00:16:53.340 And, and you wonder how deep it is inside the FBI. And you wonder about Merrick Garland,
00:16:59.740 the attorney general, at some point that U S attorney in Delaware, that they've allowed to
00:17:05.560 remain there. If he's going to make an indictment, he has to go to the attorney general and tell him
00:17:11.280 he's going to indict, uh, the president's son or the president's family or, or make charges that
00:17:17.120 involve the president. He has to go tell Merrick Garland. And I just don't see Merrick Garland,
00:17:23.280 going to the president saying, we're going to indict your son or your family or, or make charges
00:17:27.680 that would, you would be involved in without the Biden corruption extending to through Garland to
00:17:35.340 the department of justice and the FBI where the Biden tells them, no, you're not going to do that.
00:17:39.920 And you wonder, because they've been able to suppress, uh, this criminal investigation,
00:17:45.680 you know, since, since the election, and it was political interference by the media that they
00:17:51.820 wouldn't cover this, that big tech, uh, censored, even the New York post, the oldest newspaper in the
00:17:58.400 country founded by, you know, uh, Alexander Hamilton at a time when we did have freedom of press.
00:18:04.020 And it was a virtue that we advocated in the bill of rights and they basically big tech censored them
00:18:10.580 and, and, uh, you know, they, they, they banned them. And, and we found in a poll that we did for
00:18:16.720 Brent Bozell's media research center, a post-election poll in 2020 in November, 36% of all Biden voters
00:18:23.520 were not aware about the scandal with Hunter Biden's laptop and the corruption charges.
00:18:27.500 And if they had been aware 13% of all Biden voters were to change their vote, which easily would
00:18:32.980 have allowed Trump to win the election. And, and so you wonder about, you wonder if, you know,
00:18:40.200 that kind of, uh, um, corruption is, is going to extend, continue to extend into the FBI and the
00:18:46.220 justice department and allow them to get away. I mean, it's just, you know, we really now know,
00:18:52.140 John, just how corrupt the FBI is, uh, every part of it, uh, everyone there bears great responsibility
00:18:59.120 because people had a responsibility to step forward and talk about, uh, the phony dossier,
00:19:05.020 the phony nonsense that was going on with Michael Sussman, uh, Sussman going into, uh, the justice
00:19:11.160 department to start laying down a predicate for a special counsel. Uh, this, the FISA courts, uh,
00:19:19.400 the whole, the whole shooting match is corrupt. We have a huge problem that no one wants to talk
00:19:25.700 about. And by the way, I'm, I'm averse to talking about it because I, I get angry. I get frustrated
00:19:32.560 because I know there's not a single person in the United States Congress or Senate that's going to do
00:19:37.700 anything about it. And certainly not the white house, but the FBI and the justice department have
00:19:43.680 to be cleaned up. The FBI knew about Hunter's laptop, the attorney general of the United States,
00:19:51.240 his, uh, his holiness and, uh, nobility, uh, William Barr, who's, uh, you know, he's doing
00:19:59.060 everything again, uh, but being an utter, uh, slit about the fact he wouldn't, uh, intervene in a
00:20:06.800 presidential election because that would be intervention on his part. And he knew that Biden was lying.
00:20:13.660 He knew about Hunter Biden's laptop, the investigation, the whole rancid mess. And he
00:20:21.100 would not speak up and thereby gave the election to a, a corrupt, clearly corrupt, uh, Biden crime
00:20:30.060 family. Uh, it's just stunning what we've got. And his, he not only put his finger on the scales,
00:20:37.580 uh, he's, he spun history at a whole new direction and has created, I think he's responsible for the
00:20:46.200 creation of much of the mess that the Marxist Biden, uh, enterprise has delivered to America.
00:20:54.940 And you have to wonder about, you know, the rank and file members, I think of the FBI are very good
00:20:59.980 people. You know, when you, when you saw what was going on in 2020 during the, um, you know,
00:21:06.460 during the riots and the assault on the white house and this, this, those poor secret service people
00:21:11.440 with other federal agents trying to secure the white house against the protests where
00:21:15.700 they were burning and, you know, thrown, they were injuring a lot of, uh, good FBI and,
00:21:22.160 and secret service people. And you wonder those rank and file, you have to wonder
00:21:25.900 how they must resent the corruption and they must know that it's going on. And, uh, you know,
00:21:31.220 during, during Watergate, those of us who follow the news, we always followed the reports of deep
00:21:37.520 throat. And you wonder if there's a deep throat, uh, there isn't, there isn't, that's the whole point.
00:21:43.800 Yeah. Oh, there should be. Well, of course they should have been, but not one whistleblower has stepped
00:21:48.740 forward from the FBI, not a single one from the justice department. They are witness to historical
00:21:56.560 levels of corruption and the most evil plot against a president in our country's history outside of
00:22:03.320 Abraham Lincoln. This is an appalling moment. And I know that you're, you're empathetic. Uh, and so am
00:22:10.140 I with those who put their lives on the line, but you know, those are the, those are a rare few, uh,
00:22:16.740 in point of fact, the secret service has covered up for the Biden family for decades. They did it
00:22:23.300 with, they did it with a hundred by laptop. I mean, I can't find it. I'd love to be able to say
00:22:31.620 to, you know, they're, uh, they're pure of heart and noble of purpose and defend the country. I don't
00:22:37.120 know a damn thing about what the FBI has done to protect this nation. Let's just leave it within the
00:22:44.880 last decade. What did they do? What have they done with that budget? Who have they prosecuted?
00:22:51.060 They love to prosecute and, uh, entrap, uh, conservatives and Republicans and Patriots
00:22:57.260 as they did the, uh, the four, uh, men up in, uh, uh, Michigan, uh, two of, I mean, they,
00:23:04.740 the judge couldn't even stomach what the FBI was trying. They threw in the heavyweights from the
00:23:09.480 justice department trying to entrap and to convict these, uh, these, these poor guys who were led
00:23:16.900 along by informants and, uh, placed, uh, agents to manipulate the whole scenario. It was sickening
00:23:25.800 to see what the government was doing there. Well, I would, I would agree with you at the top, but I,
00:23:30.880 I absolutely, there's been heroes inside the FBI and law enforcement at the rank and file level that
00:23:36.600 are doing great work against terrorism and some other things. But, uh, we got, the one thing we
00:23:41.540 absolutely agree on, we got to clean up this corruption and it starts at the top with the
00:23:46.260 Biden family. And if you want to, if you want to look for an explanation, you know, it's not the
00:23:51.760 Easter rabbit debacle giving Joe Biden orders or the, or the people around him that you wonder about
00:23:59.680 his cognitive ability. I think the, the absolute, uh, the absolute problem here is the corruption.
00:24:05.580 And, uh, it's, it's starting to come out now and hopefully people in law enforcement,
00:24:10.720 in the justice department, in the FBI, those career people will want to get rid of it so that
00:24:15.680 I think it's going to be a big factor. And then in this election in November, and probably the next
00:24:20.080 presidential election that we do get a nonpartisan, uh, law and order, you know, follow the rules,
00:24:28.420 uncorrupt, uh, leadership of the FBI and the justice department. And, uh, and they, and let them,
00:24:34.860 let them go after the law breakers as bet. They see. And by the way, look at New York state,
00:24:40.000 the, the U S attorney and the, and the justice department, the FBI, they arrested the Lieutenant
00:24:46.440 governor in New York state. Uh, the sitting Lieutenant governor was arrested for basically
00:24:52.220 corruption where he was steering, uh, uh, grants towards his donors and governor Hochul,
00:24:59.340 you know, she's got them on the ticket, you know, and she, she knew exactly who she was doing.
00:25:04.980 And you look at New York state, like a full disclosure, I work for Lee Zeldin,
00:25:09.280 Lee Zeldin's in a close race with Kathy Hochul right now, but governor Hochul is just extending
00:25:15.020 the corruption that we saw go on from like Elliot Spitzer through to Andrew Cuomo through to her
00:25:20.700 administration where we've got a clean, you know, if you want an honest government, we've got to clean
00:25:25.920 these people out. Would you, when you start with, uh, uh, Andrew Cuomo, uh, or, uh, you know,
00:25:33.800 the, uh, in terms of the corruption, New York state, you're, you're missing a few decades of
00:25:39.560 corruption to begin with. Uh, New York is, is appalling. Uh, and they, they're an unchallenged
00:25:48.600 party. The Democrats are corrupt. And that's, uh, that's true. Whatever you see, uh, power like that
00:25:55.040 bested for so long in trench for so long, they're going to do what is human nature. And they're
00:26:00.720 going to do so wantonly. Let me ask you a couple of questions. And by the way, I, let me tell you
00:26:06.780 about a couple of the great things that they've done about terrorism and the FBI. They've designated
00:26:10.740 parents who are raising their voices in a school board meeting as domestic terrorists. That's one
00:26:16.300 of the group of terrorists that they've been very effective with. Uh, you know, and the other part
00:26:20.940 of this issue is I, I want to believe that the FBI agents are great people. I really do. I want to
00:26:30.300 believe that of everyone in law enforcement, but I don't see it. I don't see them standing up
00:26:36.740 for what is right in this country. And they're not alone. I mean, we've got a corruption problem
00:26:42.200 that extends across this, uh, country, uh, to, you know, from the border, which is absolutely corrupt
00:26:49.280 to, uh, Washington DC, which is a swamp and which it's, it's suffocating, uh, the, the corruption
00:26:56.380 there, as you well know, I want to get back to the election just very quickly. And that is the
00:27:03.540 president. If he runs now, he wins, uh, DeSantis is doing a lot of great things. How much of a threat
00:27:10.600 is he in terms of the support in the public's mind as you do polling?
00:27:15.480 Well, if, if, I mean, he's the governor of Florida, so he's known in Florida. Um, he's
00:27:21.500 not known yet to realize a lot of the media across the country is not covering a lot of
00:27:25.680 what he's, uh, what he's doing policy wise. And he's got to get reelected as a governor
00:27:30.060 of Florida. I mean, right now, when you look at Republican primary voters across the country,
00:27:35.420 they're really focused on the buyer's remorse with, uh, uh, with, with Donald Trump, they,
00:27:42.540 they, you know, right now, Republican primary voters, 69% want Trump to run again. Uh, if
00:27:48.540 he runs again, they would support him 83 to 14. These are unbelievable numbers. These
00:27:52.820 are stronger than Reagan ever had. And if he's, and if he's in, uh, uh, in a field of
00:27:58.400 like 13, 14 candidates, Trump's getting 57% of the vote and, and DeSantis is running it
00:28:04.820 like 13% and Pence's at 9%. And then the rest are all in single digits. So to right now,
00:28:12.140 because Joe Biden is so bad, the buyer's remorse that we said would happen for Donald Trump has
00:28:19.660 happened far sooner and earlier than we ever expected. And there is a yearning to go back
00:28:28.060 to, Hey, Donald Trump, you may not have liked his style. You may not have liked his tweets,
00:28:32.640 but on the other hand, you liked his policies. The economy was growing. We were creating jobs.
00:28:38.140 He created the vaccines that allowed us to get out of the pandemic. I mean, he was a bull in the
00:28:43.660 China shop in a lot of ways. And there's people here that if he's beating Joe Biden, I was also
00:28:48.880 part of his charm, John. I think a lot of people loved having that bull in that China shop.
00:28:54.120 You and I loved it, but there's a lot of people that didn't. And they watched that. They used to
00:29:01.940 watch CNN. They don't even watch it anymore. They're going under, but when you look at it,
00:29:08.440 there were a lot of people that were put off by his style because he was a businessman. He was
00:29:12.760 straightforward. He was very blunt at times. He's from New York. People were put off by that style
00:29:19.760 and they mix style up with substance. And now they're like, we don't care. We want him back.
00:29:25.140 And he, like I said to you, he's beating Joe Biden 50 to 43. A quarter of Joe Biden's supporters
00:29:31.320 are disapproving of the job he's doing. And a good number of them now would vote for Trump.
00:29:36.020 So, you know, there is, there's a, there's a, it was only a little while ago, but there's a,
00:29:43.260 a big nostalgic boom for president Trump to save our country right now, because
00:29:49.220 the kind of problems that we've had in terms of the economy, security, um, our culture,
00:29:55.540 we didn't have these a couple of years ago. We had a pandemic. We had, uh, you know, urban riots.
00:30:02.320 We had, uh, the economy was turned, shut off. And, you know, there was concern that we'd go into
00:30:08.740 depression, but, you know, we got through all those things. And thanks to president Trump
00:30:13.480 and Joe Biden squandered it all. So, uh, well, we had, we had, we had a clear indication,
00:30:20.320 you know, that summer of riots and arson, uh, and protests and mayhem was organized by the
00:30:28.280 Marxist left in this country. It went for five months and it was dutifully shut down after the
00:30:33.660 election was, uh, uh, safely in the bag. And it's just transparent. And then there were no
00:30:41.760 prosecutions from the democratic, uh, party and the George Soros district attorneys, the
00:30:48.260 attorneys general who are themselves, you know, just part of the Marxist left, uh, cabal within
00:30:55.060 the democratic party, the leadership. Uh, I want to, I want to get a sense from you. You mentioned this,
00:31:02.960 uh, earlier, but what is this new fixation, this new focus on,
00:31:11.760 uh, transgender, uh, but you mentioned DeSantis, uh, there, there's a clear divide in the country.
00:31:18.940 Uh, liberals, left-wingers talk about, uh, uh, don't say gay referring to the parental rights law
00:31:27.580 in Florida that created such a, uh, uh, a firestorm down there. Uh, and conservatives refer to it as
00:31:34.760 parental rights. I don't understand. And you've got the best sense of what's going on in this body
00:31:40.780 politic. Are there really so many transgenders? Are there so many transsexuals in this country
00:31:47.900 that this is now a, uh, is there a, uh, an enlarged fixture within our body politic of, uh,
00:31:56.300 these people? Because I just don't understand the sudden they've just sort of burst upon the scene
00:32:01.700 here. Well, actually no, but it's this woke culture where, um, you know, they're trying to
00:32:11.060 describe us as bigots and intolerant. And the reality of this is that they're creepy. I mean,
00:32:16.240 this is, you know, the idea that, um, uh, that you want to tell kids in kindergarten about gender
00:32:24.600 orientation. They don't, they're not thinking about sex and stuff like that. I mean, these are young
00:32:29.780 kids who need to, you know, they've lost a year of education where they, they, they lost a year,
00:32:34.720 they were out of schools and they need to be brought up to speed on reading, writing and math.
00:32:39.520 And you've got these educators who are, you know, in this woke culture that they want to groom these
00:32:46.300 kids. And it's just creepy. And the parents, like we asked a question in our January survey, um,
00:32:52.400 should you allow, uh, biological men to compete in, uh, men and boys, biological men and boys to
00:32:59.820 compete in women's, uh, high school and college sports. And they're saying no, and it was 68% to
00:33:05.720 20. And it's, it, there's a fairness there. And the people that are tipping the tide, because I've seen
00:33:10.820 it change over the past year, uh, is, is basically you're looking at these women athletes
00:33:16.740 and their moms who devoted their lives to, okay, I'm going to get up at four in the morning every
00:33:22.900 day, take my young daughter swimming, or we're going to do lacrosse after school, or we're going
00:33:27.560 to, uh, we're going to run track, et cetera. And, and my daughter is going to play in high school,
00:33:34.660 or she's going to then go to college and she's going to get a scholarship and, and she'll be
00:33:39.920 successful and they've spent, you know, a long time dedicated to their sports. And all of a sudden
00:33:47.780 their daughter's not, she, she's being cut or she's not making, getting the, the honor she used to get
00:33:54.680 because there's a biological male who is, is, uh, you know, is, is outperforming her because you have
00:34:04.500 physiological advantages that the women don't have. And it's unfair. And the, the moms of these
00:34:10.520 women athletes, a lot of the women athletes are afraid to speak out because, you know, they'll get,
00:34:15.500 they'll, they'll be punished by woke, uh, you know, uh, administrators, et cetera. Uh, but the moms
00:34:21.740 aren't and the moms are speaking out and they're saying, you know, it's not fair to our daughters and
00:34:27.000 you have like college sports and high school sports for women are being threatened by this because
00:34:33.260 if, if you don't have these gender restrictions based on biology, right, women's sports are going
00:34:40.980 to lose. They'll be, they'll disappear. Yeah. And we have to be very clear. The NCAA has given all of
00:34:47.400 this, uh, energy to the transsexuals, transgender, uh, competing, particularly males in, uh, female sports.
00:34:58.760 I mean, they're destroying title nine, the whole purpose of title nine and the left is the most
00:35:04.160 confused bunch of people in this country. They are once the most, uh, hateful, uh, and at the same
00:35:10.440 time, the most confused, uh, and, uh, and, and destructive in their conflicts because this is
00:35:16.940 not fair on its face. And we've got people so scared of the woke culture. They won't say what is
00:35:23.000 as clear as the, and plain as the nose on their faces. It's I, you talk about the woke culture.
00:35:29.840 It's like everything else in our society right now. That's sort of upside down. These people are
00:35:34.780 mentally slumbering through life, uh, and not, and they're not awake at all. So I, I hate that
00:35:41.960 expression woke culture. It's there for the most part, uh, in a completely confused, uh, completely
00:35:50.020 unaware and indifferent to the rights that are fundamental under our constitution and the NCAA,
00:35:56.080 you know, damn them. Uh, they should never ever have taken a, a position like they did. It's it's
00:36:04.120 to me, it's insufferable and destructive of the various sports that they should be, uh, guarding
00:36:11.720 with their very organization. Right. And they should, they should protect those athletes and it will,
00:36:18.760 it will work out. And, uh, but, but you're seeing a groundswell across the country where
00:36:23.920 all of a sudden Disney stock is way down and Elon Musk is taking over Twitter to restore free speech.
00:36:30.300 I mean, the American, amen, brother, amen, go Elon. Right, exactly. So the American people and
00:36:38.000 those smart leaders who are in tune with the American people are going to lead us on a comeback. And,
00:36:44.140 uh, who knows November 24, we may see a 45 become 47 again, and we'll have won our third presidential
00:36:51.820 race. Yeah, I think, I think so. I w I do worry about the president doing these endorsements of
00:36:58.440 primary candidates. Uh, he's made a couple of choices I disagree with. Uh, I think, uh, and I know
00:37:05.720 that for example, are you doing a polling for anybody or strategy in the state of Ohio?
00:37:10.920 No, no, no, right now. I don't have, I try to do what I do do well. I don't want to spread myself
00:37:20.260 too thin. I can't take on too many races. Good for you because that's quite a race, as you know,
00:37:25.740 J.D. Vance, the president's endorsed candidate. I mean, the over half of the RNC delegates from Ohio
00:37:34.160 begged the president not to do this, uh, David McIntosh, the head of the club for growth, who
00:37:39.960 I'm indifferent about, but he, uh, begged the president not to, to do this, uh, endorsed, uh,
00:37:51.360 Vance and Josh Mandel, who seems to be a very popular candidate there and, uh, a, an America first
00:37:58.400 candidate. What in the world is a president thinking about getting in there and upsetting?
00:38:05.160 He's the populist president and he just told the people of Ohio, go to hell.
00:38:10.120 Well, I, I, the president had his reasons to endorse J.D. Vance. J.D. Vance, by the way, I,
00:38:15.380 I don't know him personally. Um, I have friends who certainly like Josh, who certainly like some of
00:38:20.940 the other candidates there. And, uh, uh, but you know, J.D. Vance, I'm, you know, I read his book
00:38:26.200 years ago about hill, hill, hillbilly elegy. I thought there was a lot of valid points in it
00:38:30.880 and, uh, about culture in the United States and where it was going. And he was a Marine that served
00:38:36.080 in Iraq and he did go from nowhere to basically get himself through Yale and he stayed a conservative.
00:38:42.580 But, um, but the president did that for, for whatever his reasons are, but I will tell you where
00:38:47.240 the president needs to focus is right now you've got, uh, Lisa Murkowski running for reelection
00:38:53.700 in Alaska and she voted to impeach him. And you have Liz Cheney, uh, in Wyoming. And certainly
00:39:01.400 those Republican leaders who voted to impeach him, uh, you know, because of whatever phony trumped up
00:39:09.720 charges there were, we got to focus on those first. And some of these other races, they will,
00:39:16.700 you know, I, I worked in, in 2020 at the time for Madison Cawthorn in his last election.
00:39:23.120 Then he got reelected. I'm not working for him right now because they went in a different
00:39:26.440 direction, but you know, that was one of the races where president Trump had endorsed somebody
00:39:31.420 else and Madison was able to win. And it's through a lot of hard work and grassroots effort
00:39:36.840 at the time. Uh, so now, so we'll see what happens as the primaries evolve, but, um, but right now,
00:39:44.680 does he have an, I, I haven't heard anything about Lisa Murkowski. I haven't heard anything
00:39:49.380 about those people who impeach he's going after Cheney. They, she's raising more money. I think
00:39:54.660 that their opposition, uh, and by the way, if he, and that's the other crazy thing about this,
00:40:00.080 he is sitting there supporting a candidate who basically opposed his views on, uh, the environment,
00:40:09.840 uh, opposed his judgments on free trade. Uh, he said, uh, for example, trade deals with China
00:40:16.900 won't solve problems. I'm going through this. I mean, I'm scratching my head and I'm wondering
00:40:22.620 what in the world happened to the populist Donald Trump that I know and respect and admire so much
00:40:28.500 because this is just, this is a nutty deal in Ohio. A populist doesn't sit there and shove a
00:40:36.340 candidate down the throats of the people of Ohio. It's dumb politics and it could cost him.
00:40:41.800 Well, uh, like I said to you, I'm not involved in the Ohio race and that's why I'm asking this.
00:40:46.340 You've got an objective. I'm not involved in that. So it's like, what I can tell you is that
00:40:51.220 in Alaska, he has endorsed Kelly Chewbacca against Murkowski. He has endorsed Harriet Hedman in Wyoming
00:40:57.140 against, uh, uh, Liz Cheney and I'm not involved in their direct campaigns, but, uh, but I think
00:41:05.020 that's where the focus should be as those Republicans who are within our, in our camp,
00:41:10.080 who basically have turned on our Republican president sided with Nancy Pelosi and sided with
00:41:14.880 these DC insiders that to me, that's the priority. And, and, and I do look at candidates where he
00:41:20.560 hasn't made an endorsement in the Arizona Senate race. And I'm looking at somebody like Jim
00:41:24.240 Lehman who I work for has been endorsed by the border patrol union. He's been endorsed
00:41:28.780 by people that know what's going on in Arizona. And, uh, he stands for all the America first
00:41:35.980 policies and, uh, that the president, just like Josh Mandel. Right. So I, so it's like Lou,
00:41:45.120 you know, he did, he should have called you. He shouldn't have called me. He doesn't need
00:41:50.180 my approval, but I, at the same time, don't suspend my brain, uh, because somebody goes
00:41:55.840 off the deep end on something. And this is bad politics. This president, I admire every
00:42:01.600 one of his policies, his politics, sometimes in choice of people, it just leaves me scratching
00:42:06.880 my head. Uh, and I, I, you know, and if he likes that, you know, great. If he doesn't like
00:42:12.380 it, great. Uh, we're friends. Uh, he knows that, uh, and he knows I'm, I'm not a fellow that's
00:42:17.700 going to sit here and, you know, talk nonsense about it. Uh, here's, I just, I got to give
00:42:22.660 you this last thing. Would you endorse the, I'll put you on the spot, John. You don't
00:42:27.620 have to stay on the spot. He called Trump America's Hitler. He described Trump as another
00:42:33.620 opiate. I mean, are you kidding me? What in the world is going on there? I just saw enough
00:42:40.760 of that during his presidency. And by the way, the club for growth and David McIntosh, you
00:42:46.900 know, that, that is a rhino organization. Would you agree? Club for growth?
00:42:52.040 Well, actually when David was in Congress, I did his polling and it did his first race
00:42:57.960 in 94. So, so, and, and the club for growth when they started, you know, that was a way
00:43:04.080 to, you know, primary Republicans who supported tax increases. Yeah. But now it's this, there's
00:43:10.400 definitely people in the organization who are never Trumpers who, who, who just want to stop
00:43:16.880 president Trump because whatever reason. So I don't blame, I don't blame, uh, Trump
00:43:22.760 for, uh, not, uh, being too thrilled about McIntosh, but that doesn't explain Stephen
00:43:28.940 Moore and Larry Kudlow, who are part of the club for growth, who are absolute rhinos that
00:43:34.780 he embraced like the Dickens, you know, it's just, it's unbelievable. Give, give Larry and
00:43:40.940 Steve their credit that with the, that the Trump tax cut plan, they designed it and that
00:43:46.960 worked. And, and, and don't get me started, John, you don't want to be talking to me about
00:43:52.680 tax cuts. That tax cut looked a lot like something, uh, Mitch McConnell might've come up with, you
00:43:58.820 know, no, he wouldn't, but, uh, but they, but that tax cut created jobs and that, and, and it did get
00:44:06.440 the economy growing again. So, uh, um, but that's just facts, but yeah, it's been a long time since
00:44:12.700 that. And by the way, Biden, you know what the tax cut worked because Biden and the Democrats want to
00:44:17.700 repeal it and go back to raising taxes. So I'm an old fashioned, uh, I like targeted tax cuts where,
00:44:25.020 uh, you know, populists create, uh, big tax cuts for individuals. And, uh, we saw way too much
00:44:31.480 nonsense. Uh, I mean, that thing turned over. I mean, think about it, reducing the effective tax
00:44:38.680 rate for the lowest effective tax rate in the, in the, in the industrial world, the United States
00:44:45.320 already had that people kept talking about the tax rate, but the effective tax rate on corporate
00:44:50.100 America was already low, uh, and where we need tax cuts are for the middle class in this country.
00:44:56.800 And that I, by the way, it's a good thing. I wasn't a Democrat. Cause I would have had a lot
00:45:01.080 of fun with that, but anyway, and I've had a lot of fun with you today and I appreciate it as always,
00:45:07.360 John, we always give our guests the last word have at it.
00:45:10.500 Ultimately, because we, if they don't rig the next election this November,
00:45:16.600 we still live in a democracy and we should be able to, through the primaries and through the
00:45:22.520 general election, take back the house, take back the Senate. That has to be the focus right now,
00:45:27.120 because if we don't win races this year, um, the country will be in big trouble. And they,
00:45:34.640 they, the Democrats know they're in such trouble that they, they have repeatedly tried to rig elections
00:45:39.100 across the country with, uh, no excuse, absentees, drop boxes that are insecure, et cetera. And people
00:45:46.760 haven't gone to see like Dinesh D'Souza's movie or Dave Bossie's documentary about the 2020 election.
00:45:54.100 Let me give everybody the name of the movie. Dinesh's is 2000 mules. And, uh, and David is,
00:46:01.160 uh, his, uh, terrific, uh, documentary. I just love that, uh, is called rigged and it's about the,
00:46:07.840 um, the impact of Zuckerberg's money, uh, in five States and five cities in Wisconsin. It's amazing.
00:46:15.940 And we have to go see it. And, and because we can't let that happen again, because the damage
00:46:21.140 that it's done is, is unbelievable to the country. So, uh, so you keep getting the truth out and
00:46:27.120 that that's, that's my emphasis on the last word.
00:46:30.540 So, but you're a great American, John. Thanks so much. And, uh, look forward to our next talk.
00:46:36.840 Thank you, John. Thank you, Lou. God bless you. Thank you, John McLaughlin. And we look forward
00:46:43.220 to our next visit as we close in on the midterm elections on or about November 8th. Tomorrow,
00:46:50.840 our guest is attorney Joe McBride defending his clients who are charged and awaiting trial.
00:46:55.900 Some have been in prison for a year or more. We take up the injustice and the political
00:47:02.240 exploitation engineered by the Marxist left Dems and the corrupt justice department and judicial
00:47:09.880 system. Please join us for that till then. God bless you. And God bless America.
