00:00:16.220 We've entered year three of the China virus pandemic and year two of the
00:00:20.740 Biden malaise, as we call it here on The Great America Show.
00:00:25.440 Hope you and your family and friends are doing well, despite it all, that we
00:00:29.780 can keep our sense of humor as the uncertain new year unfolds.
00:00:34.740 No one, of course, knows what lies ahead, but I'm seeing some signs, some positive
00:00:39.060 signs, that Americans are at least, at last, awakening from their long national
00:00:45.560 slumber, awakening from the Black Lives Matter and Antifa nightmares, awakening
00:00:51.880 from this thing called wokeness, from the mindlessness that descended on this
00:00:57.140 country with the street violence of 2020 nationwide, with a pandemic that's killed
00:01:03.000 millions around the world, almost 900,000 Americans, disrupting America's economy,
00:01:09.720 our families, our schools, the body politic.
00:01:13.100 But we are, I feel, emerging from the darkest days, and I hope you see and feel and
00:01:18.620 sense the same thing as well.
00:01:20.780 Why am I not brimming with hope exactly, but as I said, seeing signs, positive signs, that
00:01:28.440 we've all begun looking with clear eyes at the prospect of truth, justice, and the American
00:01:34.060 way of life regaining its place in our national life, in our purpose as citizens, its rightful
00:01:41.180 place in our American culture that we must preserve.

00:02:01.640 We're undoubtedly going to be tested this year, as we have been a lot lately, tested by
00:02:08.400 the Wuhan pandemic, a widening political divide in our country, our strained economy and struggling
00:02:16.220 markets, and of course, geopolitical hotspots around the world that show absolutely no sign
00:02:22.360 of cooling.
00:02:23.680 Over the past week, we talked with a lot of great guests.
00:02:27.660 We brought with them to the show not only their philosophy and concerns and ambitions and hopes,
00:02:33.460 but their knowledge and analysis of the country's political currents and the big issues that
00:02:39.820 are driving our politics right now and their views on what does lie ahead over this unfolding
00:02:46.600 year that promises to be fraught with challenge.
00:02:50.460 Global security analyst and strategist Gordon Chang told us he finds it incredible that as
00:02:56.780 communist China hosts the Beijing Olympics, or as some call it, the genocide games, whatever
00:03:02.820 you call them, they're the most powerful global multimedia public relations event, a massive
00:03:09.680 19-day-long pro-communist China propaganda spectacle that the Western world is simultaneously
00:03:16.980 permitting as China and Xi Jinping challenge U.S. Navy ships in the South China Sea, crack down
00:03:25.400 further on Hong Kong, and threaten Taiwan directly, forcefully, and persistently.
00:03:31.220 With the world community sidelined by the extravaganza of the Olympics, the extravaganza beaming around
00:03:39.320 the globe, world leaders can't even find airtime on television or any other mass media to protest.
00:03:46.720 Those leaders aren't even trying to admonish China for its bellicosity and military threats
00:03:52.160 that seem to have no limit.
00:03:53.480 So, too, the silence of the Europeans as Vladimir Putin masses Russian troops and tanks on his
00:04:00.600 western border with Ukraine, threatening not only Ukraine, but the Baltics and beyond.
00:04:06.180 If Putin were to cut off pipelines from Russia to Europe, and if he were to invade Ukraine,
00:04:12.360 world oil prices already at more than $90 a barrel would quickly surge to new highs.
00:04:18.480 Some analysts say well above $100 a barrel.
00:04:22.400 I personally, though, don't believe Putin really wants a war.
00:04:26.360 I know you may be surprised to hear that, but it's what I believe.
00:04:30.100 I believe, in fact, he wants oil and gas prices to move much higher, much, much higher, which
00:04:36.580 would benefit oil and gas-rich Russia immensely.
00:04:41.060 And why more analysts aren't exploring that possibility, I can't explain.
00:04:46.200 The energy sector in Russia provides about 40% of the Russian government's revenue, 40%,
00:04:53.220 and gas and oil account for 60%, 60% of Russia's world exports.
00:05:00.000 And I really believe the U.S. intelligence agencies and the Pentagon and the White House
00:05:05.980 should be paying far more attention to just how much Russia benefits from all of President
00:05:12.540 Biden's saber-rattling and fear-mongering over Russia.
00:05:17.340 It unsettles the markets, oil and gas investors, and that is good for Russia's business.
00:05:24.660 President Biden is talking loudly about how severe the U.S. sanctions will be if President
00:05:30.220 Putin invades Ukraine.
00:05:32.540 The reality is years of U.S. sanctions have accomplished nothing.
00:05:37.080 Putin has modernized the Russian military over the past decade with one of the best equipped
00:05:43.540 armies in the world.
00:05:45.080 Its air force has advanced aircraft and weapons, including an unknown number of hypersonic weapons.
00:05:53.040 This is the bottom line in my judgment.
00:05:55.800 Economic sanctions don't work.
00:05:58.140 And here's the dirty secret.
00:05:59.800 They never have.
00:06:00.980 Meanwhile, Xi and Putin, each sufficiently formidable and dangerous to world peace in
00:06:07.400 his own right, are now in alliance with one another.
00:06:11.820 They are in Beijing, now huddling over their new strategic partnership that makes them more
00:06:17.860 powerful, a considerably more complex challenge and threat to the United States position in
00:06:24.120 global leadership and the world's only superpower.
00:06:27.040 There's reason for unease as we watch these developments, all designed to elevate China and
00:06:34.420 Russia in their confrontation with the United States.
00:06:37.620 And recent polls show Americans share my concerns about the prospect of Mr. Biden bungling U.S.
00:06:44.760 foreign policy further, becoming unnecessarily and overly aggressive, and suddenly becoming a
00:06:51.580 wartime president.
00:06:53.620 God help us.
00:06:54.940 President Biden in his most recent news conference suggested his administration would accept a
00:07:00.460 quote, minor incursion, end quote, into the Ukraine.
00:07:05.440 As he put it, the White House and national security staff spent days trying to persuade the
00:07:11.280 world to unhear President Biden's careless words.
00:07:15.620 I don't know about you, but I can't imagine what the world's only superpower would do with
00:07:21.000 President Biden as commander in chief and his inept staff in the White House leading the fight
00:07:28.580 that would quickly become, in all likelihood, a global conflict.
00:07:32.920 The thought is not just frightening to me, it is absolutely terrifying.
00:07:38.480 Made all the more so by another in what is now a lengthening series of videos showing just
00:07:44.580 how frail the president really is, how feeble he actually is.
00:07:50.380 Can you imagine what Russian, Chinese, and Iranian intelligence agencies are doing with these
00:07:58.000 videos, studying the president's obvious weakness and perhaps mental or psychological impairment,
00:08:05.100 studying just how weak President Biden may really be.
00:08:08.600 And frankly, the latest video is heart-rending.
00:08:12.600 It shows the President of the United States concluding his remarks and then Dr. Jill taking
00:08:19.240 him by the arm, leading him across the stage, down the steps, and through the audience with
00:08:26.460 the President of the United States in tow.
00:08:29.760 She has her head down throughout.
00:08:32.480 And President Biden follows as if he were on a leash.
00:08:35.740 As I said, it is sad, it is heart-rending, and God help us.
00:08:43.120 We also had on the show this week a political figure who is lifting the spirits and hopes
00:08:48.180 of Arizona Republicans.
00:08:50.180 She's running for governor, and she's campaigning hard to win the primary.
00:08:54.880 And if I may say, she's crushing the Arizona establishment and RINO Republicans.
00:08:59.700 And she's way ahead in the polls to win the nomination and face whoever will be her Democratic
00:09:06.360 opponent in November.
00:09:08.280 Her name is Carrie Lake.
00:09:10.180 I want you to please remember that name, Carrie Lake.
00:09:13.360 Or if you're a little like me, maybe write it down as well.
00:09:17.640 Carrie Lake is, in my opinion, the brightest star in either party since President Donald Trump
00:09:23.140 burst onto the scene in 2015.
00:09:26.860 And she is a Trump Republican through and through.
00:09:30.560 She is America first and MAGA all the way.
00:09:34.820 And I could imagine the Democrats, believe this or not, I could imagine the Democrats will
00:09:40.640 have a very hard time finding anyone in their party to run against her.

00:09:47.440 In one of her recent tweets, the pro-border security candidate pointed out that, quote,
00:09:53.080 Joe Biden has sent more troops to Eastern Europe than to our southern border.
00:09:59.900 Carrie Lake, a great Republican candidate, appealing across the political spectrum, a great
00:10:05.940 American.
00:10:07.080 And so is our friend and guest this week.
00:10:10.120 He's a great American, legendary radio host known as Mr. New York.
00:10:14.060 Mark Simone told us he's actually more of an optimist about Vladimir Putin taking seriously
00:10:20.920 President Biden's threats to sanction Russia.
00:10:25.200 Mark said, I think they take the Biden threat very seriously because one thing Biden knows
00:10:32.220 how to do is to destroy an economy.

00:10:37.420 Mr. New York also said the news business is crazier now than anything anybody's ever seen
