Transcript

00:00:00.000 Hello, everybody. I'm Lou Dobbs. This is the Great America Show. Welcome to Truth, Justice, and the American Way.
00:00:08.980 The FBI and the Justice Department are showering themselves with public revulsion and anger at their actions.
00:00:17.840 What are we to think of these agencies that are contemptuous of the very law they're supposed to protect and defend,
00:00:24.320 but which they instead defy and break with increasing frequency and abandon?
00:00:31.380 There should be no pretense, no hesitation in calling out the FBI for what it has become,
00:00:38.320 which is no better than a political armed force for the Marxist Dems and the Democrat Party they lead.
00:00:44.740 In rapid succession, the FBI arrested former presidential assistant Peter Navarro,
00:00:51.740 who worked four years for President Trump.
00:00:54.860 They handcuffed him. They put him in leg irons and put Peter in a cell.
00:01:00.240 That was two weeks ago.
00:01:02.060 And now federal agents have raided the home of former Trump Justice Department official, Jeffrey Clark.
00:01:08.340 And according to one of his colleagues at the Conservative Center for Renewing America,
00:01:13.960 Clark had to stand in the street in his pajamas while the agents searched his house early in the morning
00:01:20.660 and took away his electronic devices.
00:01:23.920 All of this as the January 6th Soviet-style committee plans to focus on pro-Trump efforts to overturn the 2020 election.
00:01:34.060 We'll be taking all of this up with the attorney for several January 6th defendants here Monday.
00:01:40.200 We'll be talking with our guest attorney, Joe McBride, some of his clients in jail for a year and a half,
00:01:47.140 and why the Justice Department is being allowed to railroad January 6th defendants.
00:01:53.380 This is America, right?
00:01:55.820 This is America 2022.
00:01:59.260 Our guest today is former assistant to President Trump, Peter Navarro,
00:02:03.120 who, as I said, the FBI arrested, handcuffed, and put in leg irons.
00:02:08.320 What was his offense?
00:02:10.160 Peter defied the January 6th committee and refused to honor their subpoena,
00:02:14.420 claiming executive privilege, precisely what former Attorney General Eric Holder did when Congress subpoenaed him,
00:02:23.180 claiming executive privilege and refusing to honor the subpoena.
00:02:27.380 And when he was cited for contempt, he wasn't thrown in a cell.
00:02:31.100 He wasn't handcuffed or put in leg irons.
00:02:34.420 No.
00:02:35.720 Peter Navarro, great of you to be with us here on The Great America Show,
00:02:39.360 and what an ordeal the January 6th committee has put you through,
00:02:43.980 and what an outrage that this is happening in America.
00:02:48.780 Lou, you know, I go back a very long ways.
00:02:52.540 We were the original warriors, and I think you were long before me,
00:02:56.900 fighting Communist China's economic aggression.
00:03:00.460 And I always enjoyed talking to you on TV in the White House,
00:03:04.940 and I'm glad we can reconnect today, sir.
00:03:07.360 Well, thank you very much, and as are you.
00:03:10.640 And right now, you're fighting for all of us as you're standing up for executive privilege.
00:03:16.660 You're standing up for the right of any citizen who's being accosted by his government,
00:03:22.420 specifically the January 6th committee, and then the FBI and Justice Department.
00:03:29.820 My gosh, their treatment of you is outrageous.
00:03:35.460 That was an interesting weight, Lou.
00:03:37.060 Let me just walk your listeners through that.
00:03:40.840 You know, the back story here is that Nancy Pelosi forms this kangaroo committee
00:03:47.480 on Capitol Hill to allegedly investigate January 6th.
00:03:52.600 And one of the things I've said from the beginning, Lou,
00:03:54.580 is that they're not trying to get to the bottom of what happened on January 6th.
00:03:58.700 They're just building a criminal case against Donald Trump,
00:04:02.600 like, you know, alleged Russia hoax.
00:04:04.800 Now it's going to be alleged January 6th hoax.
00:04:07.420 And, you know, right off the bat, that's illegal.
00:04:09.940 That's a violation of the separation of powers.
00:04:13.080 That's not the proper role.
00:04:14.440 So I'm in a situation where I get a subpoena from this committee and I tell them, you know,
00:04:22.620 this thing I've been very consistent about from the beginning is that, look,
00:04:27.360 President Trump has invoked executive privilege in this matter.
00:04:31.400 And it's not – here's the key legal point, Lou.
00:04:35.140 It's not my privilege to waive.
00:04:37.220 And it made it very clear to that committee and later on to these gendarmes that are trying
00:04:42.500 to put me in prison now that the least burdensome alternative, which the law requires them to follow,
00:04:49.780 would be to simply go and negotiate the situation with President Trump and his attorneys.
00:04:55.860 And depending on how that goes, I'll do whatever the boss wants me to.
00:05:00.260 Right?
00:05:00.900 That's it.
00:05:02.320 As simple as that.
00:05:03.760 And this committee is just – I mean, there's so many things wrong about it.
00:05:10.260 So they continue to pursue me.
00:05:12.980 They do a contempt charge.
00:05:15.260 Congress, me and Dan Scavino, one of my great friends in the White House, are together in this boat.
00:05:22.540 And so let me walk you through the week that was.
00:05:25.260 It's like on Tuesday I filed a civil suit seeking both declaratory and injunctive relief,
00:05:34.700 declaratory relief in the form of declaring that the committee itself was unduly authorized,
00:05:41.840 not properly constituted, and didn't have the power to issue subpoenas, which is – I'm dead on on that.
00:05:47.940 On that alone, they have no business going after me.
00:05:52.140 But then there's also these other key constitutional issues.
00:05:56.600 Separation of powers, which is to say that the legislature can't perform a judicial function.
00:06:03.880 They can't be judged during an execution of me or Donald Trump or anybody, right?
00:06:09.040 They sure want to be.
00:06:10.780 They sure want to be.
00:06:12.120 They sure want to be.
00:06:12.920 And then tied into that, Lou, is this constitutional proscription against what's called bills of attainder.
00:06:22.140 These go back to pre-revolutionary England where the legislature, the parliament in England would use their powers to basically confiscate property from people and punish them in the public square.
00:06:35.600 And so they can't do that.
00:06:38.100 That's all what they're doing to me and Trump right now.
00:06:40.860 And then finally, another issue, which I mentioned in the civil suit on Tuesday, which is the biggie,
00:06:47.720 is this fanciful and absurd notion for which there's no settled law that somehow Joe Biden, as the incumbent,
00:06:55.700 can immediately strip President Trump of his executive privilege and me of what's called testimonial immunity.
00:07:04.100 And the reason why executive privilege and testimonial exists, it goes back to George Washington.
00:07:10.500 Throughout a republic, people have understood, and the Supreme Court has opined on this,
00:07:15.940 that in order to have effective decision-making in the White House,
00:07:20.120 you need to have people like me and the president be able to have candid conversations.
00:07:24.640 And so I followed suit, Lou, on Tuesday.
00:07:27.220 And then on Wednesday, I send what I would say would be a conciliatory letter to the Department of Justice,
00:07:39.200 this woman named Patricia Aloys, the deputy attorney in the District of Columbia,
00:07:44.560 saying, look, I'm in an untenable position.
00:07:48.300 There's conflicting constitutional issues here.
00:07:51.220 However, what I read of the law is that I have a duty to my commander-in-chief, to this country,
00:08:00.040 to this republic, and to the Constitution to fail to comply with that subpoena
00:08:04.820 for all of the reasons I laid out in the civil suit.
00:08:09.540 The other thing that was interesting about the letter, because I gave – look, I said in that letter,
00:08:13.720 look, please, go talk to Trump and his attorneys.
00:08:16.460 Please, that's the least burdensome alternative.
00:08:19.480 And by the way, here's the name of my attorney that you can talk to, right?
00:08:24.520 So, you know, that's about as straightforward as you can get, right?
00:08:32.020 And it's crickets, right?
00:08:33.440 That same day, Wednesday, right?
00:08:35.600 This is like May 31st, right, before all hell breaks loose.
00:08:42.100 And so I call this guy Walter Giordano, right?
00:08:49.540 This is our FBI.
00:08:51.640 He's the special agent that the week before banged on my door and, like, gave me a subpoena,
00:08:56.640 got me out of bed.
00:08:57.760 You know, it was like just way over the top in and of itself there.
00:09:01.560 And I said, Walter, hey, we're on – I'm on first-name basis for this guy who's, like,
00:09:06.000 trashing my apartment trying to, you know, wake me up.
00:09:09.000 I said, Walter, look.
00:09:10.060 Are you saying the FBI agent, you're on first-name basis with him, and he's doing what?
00:09:18.980 He came – the week before, he came and delivered a subpoena to my apartment.
00:09:25.040 Now, here's an interesting element to the story, Lou.
00:09:28.340 I live literally less than 50 yards from the FBI across 9th Street.
00:09:34.380 Right.
00:09:34.620 50 yards, right?
00:09:35.740 So I'm there.
00:09:36.800 I'm there any time they want me, right?
00:09:38.560 And he came the week before, gave me a subpoena.
00:09:41.040 So a week later, I go, hey, Walter, you don't have to wake me up at the dead of dawn.
00:09:48.900 Whatever you need, just call me.
00:09:51.560 I'm cooperative.
00:09:52.720 I'm 72 years old.
00:09:54.360 I'm 145 pounds.
00:09:55.980 No threat to anybody.
00:09:56.820 You need anything, Walter?
00:09:57.880 Just, you know, it's like this is –
00:10:00.840 Wait a minute, I want to understand something.
00:10:03.320 You're having this conversation proactively.
00:10:05.920 You haven't –
00:10:07.020 Proactively.
00:10:08.360 Okay.
00:10:08.560 On Wednesday, before the Friday, we're all healthy.
00:10:10.940 On Wednesday, conciliatory, Kyle, let's – like, please go talk to my attorney.
00:10:18.500 Go talk to Trump and his attorneys.
00:10:20.960 I'm in a bind here because it's my duty and honor to do what I'm doing.
00:10:26.160 And my read of the law is that I'm perfectly within the bounds.
00:10:30.700 And, by the way, it's Department of Justice's own policy, Lou, own policy dating back to the 1970s,
00:10:39.720 memorializing over a dozen memos that people like me at the highest level in the White House
00:10:44.700 have what's called absolute testimonial immunity, which is to say that Congress come knocking on my door,
00:10:51.580 I don't have to answer, okay?
00:10:53.500 So all this transpires, it's like I'm doing the best I can, right,
00:10:57.920 to kind of manage this situation in a civil way with a civil suit and just, you know, okay, here we go.
00:11:05.820 And so, oh, it's crickets.
00:11:07.580 It's crickets.
00:11:08.680 And I'm scheduled to go on Friday in the morning, mid-morning.
00:11:15.020 And, you know, I got a flight at 11, I don't know, 11.30 out of Reagan on to Nashville
00:11:21.560 because I was going to do our brother Mike Huckabee's show in a live audience, right?
00:11:26.460 And so, yeah, I get up in the morning, have breakfast.
00:11:33.460 It's like nothing's going on.
00:11:35.460 Beautiful day.
00:11:37.260 I go out to the airport, you know, just sitting there waiting for the plane in my suit.
00:11:41.780 And little did I know they had a five-team FBI team.
00:11:48.840 I mean, maybe it was the same guys who were part of the Governor Whitmer, like FBI informant plot.
00:11:55.040 Maybe it was the same team that had something to do with Jan 6 instigating the violence, allegedly.
00:12:01.840 Who knows?
00:12:02.520 But we know the FBI.
00:12:04.760 Anyway, five agents, they're armed, they're surveilling me.
00:12:09.440 I don't know they're there.
00:12:10.320 They sent five FBI agents.
00:12:13.840 Five.
00:12:14.960 Armed.
00:12:15.500 To detain you.
00:12:18.140 Yeah, yeah.
00:12:19.440 So, you know how you go, like, you get on a plane and you scan your ticket,
00:12:24.320 and then you walk through that door onto the jetway, right?
00:12:27.580 So there's all these people there.
00:12:29.240 And, like, so I go in, and it's my turn.
00:12:31.720 I go into the jetway, and they immediately block everybody, right, and slam the door.
00:12:39.040 And I don't even see this, right, because I'm just walking to the door of the jet.
00:12:46.560 I'm walking along midway in the jetway, and I see Walter.
00:12:50.600 And I'm thinking to myself, you've got to be kidding me.
00:12:56.320 I live 50 yards away from you.
00:12:58.760 I called you and said, give me a call, and you're, like, they're going to grab me before I get on an airplane to go see Mike Huckabee?
00:13:06.820 You've got to be kidding me.
00:13:08.120 And I turn around, and there's three of them behind me with their arms.
00:13:12.520 And you're not saying they had long guns or anything drawn, right?
00:13:16.320 No, no, no, no.
00:13:17.360 You know, they were, yeah, I'm a dangerous hombre, Lou.
00:13:21.040 You know, I don't know.
00:13:22.340 Now, you and Walter now have got a relationship.
00:13:25.840 You see him, you start talking to him.
00:13:28.480 What does he say to you?
00:13:31.780 Well, one of the first things I say to him is, Walter, I want to call someone right now, right now, for legal advice.
00:13:39.940 And he kind of, eh, he can't do that.
00:13:41.820 And I go, Walter, I need to call.
00:13:43.660 So several times I asked him.
00:13:45.940 And then they do this, like, half-assed reading of my Miranda rights.
00:13:50.520 And right there, they violated, you know, two rules there.
00:13:55.860 They screwed up the Miranda rights, and they didn't allow me.
00:14:00.200 They led me to believe that I would not be able to contact an attorney until I saw the magistrate.
00:14:06.420 And it's like, when's that?
00:14:07.300 Well, you're scheduled at 2.30.
00:14:08.920 So what they did, Lou, is, like, they put me in this bubble for three hours, and I'll tell you what that was like.
00:14:16.680 But here's the point I want to make here.
00:14:18.820 As soon as they grabbed me, and they didn't let me call an attorney, and they take me downstairs to the tarmac and put me in handcuffs and throw me in the car, they're leaking this thing to the press.
00:14:32.400 Okay?
00:14:33.740 It's like, this thing's all over the news.
00:14:35.900 No surprise.
00:14:36.660 By the time I'm down on the tarmac.
00:14:38.900 But, yeah, but, you know, that's not right either, right?
00:14:42.120 So this is part of the show.
00:14:43.600 This is the publicly humiliate Navarro and this, that, and the other thing.
00:14:49.280 You know, it's like, and so they take me back to where I live, essentially, minus 50 yards because it's to the FBI.
00:15:01.900 I mean, that's the thing.
00:15:02.940 It's like the way this usually works, Lou, and I had FBI agents, ex-FDI agents, call me.
00:15:09.180 They're outraged.
00:15:09.980 It's like, for somebody, this was a white-collar division, quote, crime, unquote.
00:15:16.580 It's a misdemeanor that doesn't involve any fraud.
00:15:19.760 Even if, like, there's fraud, they arrange what's called a voluntary surrender.
00:15:23.960 It's like, you have a conversation on the phone.
00:15:25.760 It's like, okay, when can you come in?
00:15:28.320 Well, you know, I got this thing to Nashville.
00:15:30.100 Can I come in on Monday?
00:15:31.220 Or even if not, it's like they didn't do any of that.
00:15:34.260 They were so far outside the balance.
00:15:36.000 But I'm just getting started.
00:15:37.320 So, anyway, I wind up in, at first they strip search me, then it's leg irons, and I'm in solitary in John Hinckley's cell, you know, until I see the magistrate.
00:15:52.460 I don't get to talk to an attorney.
00:15:54.860 And then three minutes before the hearing, they stick me with a public defender, nice person, but hardly schooled in constitutional law.
00:16:04.100 And there it is.
00:16:04.840 And now, like, I'm facing, you know, a million dollars in legal fees and two years in prison and $200,000 worth of fines.
00:16:12.900 And this is what they do, Lou.
00:16:14.480 It's called lawfare.
00:16:15.740 You know, they use lawfare, like the tool that weaponized Congress's investigatory powers.
00:16:22.560 They weaponized the FBI and the DOJ.
00:16:25.680 And I don't even know what they're trying to do with me.
00:16:28.400 I mean, it's other than to make an example of me and then try to put Trump in prison as well.
00:16:34.020 I mean, if they can come for me, Lou, they can come for you.
00:16:36.440 They can come for anybody listening to this show.
00:16:38.260 Oh, you better believe it.
00:16:39.080 I mean, nobody ever accused me of not doing a great job at the White House.
00:16:45.060 I mean, I saved hundreds of thousands, maybe millions of lives because early on in that pandemic, I was on that case.
00:16:55.040 I mean, from January 28, 2020, before just about anybody in the White House was doing anything, I was in the situation room fighting Fauci and then getting ready in February to get us everything from vaccines and PPE to masks, all sorts of stuff.
00:17:12.420 And, by the way, created hundreds of thousands of jobs on behalf of Trump.
00:17:18.260 And so, you know, like, if they can do that to Peter Farrell, they can do it to Donald Trump, anybody.
00:17:27.880 I would say it just slightly another way.
00:17:30.680 I think they treated me differently from every other white-collar criminal, and I'm not that, that comes across their desk.
00:17:39.700 They made a public spectacle out of me to punish, humiliate, shame me.
00:17:45.320 I'm not humiliated and shamed.
00:17:47.460 I mean, my attitude is like, it's true you.
00:17:51.340 I mean, you did this?
00:17:52.980 They are the ones who should be humiliated and shamed by what they did because nobody – I mean, look, I've had a tremendous outpouring of people contact me across the political aisle, you know, all my blue-collar, you know, Trump Democrats, whatever.
00:18:08.640 They're going, how dare they, right?
00:18:10.660 Have you heard from a single FBI agent or a Department of Justice official to say, you know, we're ashamed of what they did to you, we can't believe it?
00:18:19.680 Yeah, more than one.
00:18:22.360 In fact, Mark Morgan, who I think you had on your show a number of times, he was the head of the Customs and Border Protection.
00:18:32.260 But I don't know if you know this, Lou.
00:18:33.140 Before that, he was a high-ranking FBI agent for many years.
00:18:37.920 And he spoke publicly about this several times, about how far outside the norms it is for them.
00:18:47.340 I mean, it endangered the public.
00:18:49.020 Peter, Peter, Peter, Peter, Peter, I'm talking about somebody who is in the FBI or the Department of Justice right now.
00:18:57.140 Did a single one of them –
00:18:58.840 They wouldn't dare.
00:19:00.300 They wouldn't dare.
00:19:01.080 And, you know, I would say to the FBI, there's a lot of good folks inside the FBI, but at the time –
00:19:07.620 How do you know?
00:19:08.600 How do you know?
00:19:09.580 How do you know?
00:19:10.060 Not a single one came forward when they knew that President Trump was no part of Russian collusion.
00:19:19.020 That Hillary Clinton had gamed the whole thing.
00:19:23.040 Not a single person stood up.
00:19:26.040 Not in that entire agency.
00:19:28.780 It is corrupt to the bone.
00:19:30.560 And what I don't understand, Peter, honestly, is how you would have expected otherwise.
00:19:36.020 Because we documented this.
00:19:38.620 I mean, look what your president has been impeached twice.
00:19:42.520 He had a special counsel.
00:19:44.340 He was investigated by the FBI for three years for no reason.
00:19:48.580 And they never laid a glove on him.
00:19:50.200 It was always a fake, a farce, and absolutely a tragedy what they did to this man and to this country and to you and me and everyone who voted for him.
00:20:02.480 It's an outrage.
00:20:04.260 We should not.
00:20:04.920 Well, the one thing I would say here is that what's going on in my case is unprecedented in our republic.
00:20:15.400 Trying to put a high-ranking White – hang on.
00:20:19.380 Hear me out here.
00:20:20.100 Trying to put a high-ranking White House official in prison for contempt of Congress and doing that in the manner in which they did.
00:20:29.920 I mean, the closest thing you could get would be the Eric Holder thing where he was responsible for people dying in Mexico with, you know, FBI-provided guns.
00:20:42.380 They didn't put them in leg irons.
00:20:44.020 They didn't arrest them.
00:20:44.900 They didn't prosecute them.
00:20:46.360 So this is like – I mean, you ask me, like, I shouldn't be surprised.
00:20:50.740 Well, they did something which is unprecedented, is totally unprecedented, Lou.
00:20:57.380 They went way past where anybody's ever gone, and not in a good Star Trek way, my friend.
00:21:05.700 There is no question that the perfect analog is Eric Holder, the former attorney general under President Obama.
00:21:14.460 Contemptive court.
00:21:15.960 No one arrested him.
00:21:17.100 No one tried to in any way humiliate him in point of fact or put him in leg irons or handcuffs.
00:21:27.100 I mean, but we're dealing with something different here.
00:21:30.300 You're talking about this administration.
00:21:33.720 It is an extension of everything that we are talking about the Obama administration.
00:21:41.000 There is no one in history that this has ever happened to.
00:21:44.420 And it tells you how much trouble this republic is in.
00:21:49.820 Well, the really, really bad guys here besides Biden and Pelosi – because Biden, the White House colluded.
00:21:57.840 It looks like they colluded either tacitly or explicitly with what the committee is doing because they sent me –
00:22:05.280 Biden's counsel sends me this letter saying we're stripping you to the privilege.
00:22:09.360 That doesn't happen by accident.
00:22:11.380 But the other big bad guys here in particular are Adam Schiff, who now is lying about January 6th, and Jamie Raskin.
00:22:20.100 These are two really, really bad feeds for this republic.
00:22:24.180 I mean, in my civil suit, Luke, I go through five years of history since Trump – the day Trump got elected that showed that all seven Democrats on that kangaroo committee participated in multiple attempts to overthrow the Trump government.
00:22:41.040 And they did it with a phony Russia hoax that's been discredited.
00:22:44.820 They did it with two phony impeachment trials.
00:22:48.180 And they did it, Luke, I don't know if you're aware of this, through at least three House resolutions designed to take Trump out of office on bogus grounds.
00:22:56.500 So there's this – and it's relevant in the law because they're showing a legislative history that they're out to perform a judicial function, judge, jury, and executioner on Trump, and now me.
00:23:08.160 Jamie Raskin and Adam Schiff led the impeachment of Donald Trump twice, and they are two of the biggest Marxist Dems leading the Democratic Party into perdition.
00:23:25.540 It is – it's appalling.
00:23:27.220 They hide behind their own congressional immunity to freely lie to the American people, and they're not held accountable.
00:23:37.100 And then they go after me when I have a legitimate claim that it's not my executive privilege to waive.
00:23:43.400 And then, you know, now I'm like, I heard it's impossible prison.
00:23:47.160 You can't make that stuff up.
00:23:49.660 It took me – let me just say this quick.
00:23:51.380 It took me like – I read Kafka in college, Luke.
00:23:55.020 And it took me until I got to be 72 years of age to understand Kafka fully.
00:24:01.360 Yeah, well, knowledge is a wonderful thing, isn't it?
00:24:07.780 The risk here is that people don't understand fully how awful this situation is.
00:24:17.040 Where does your case stand right now?
00:24:19.060 Well, this last week I was arraigned and did actually enter the plea of not guilty.
00:24:31.740 And we're in the process now of setting the calendar for when the trial is going to be.
00:24:38.460 What are you actually charged with?
00:24:40.400 What are you actually charged with?
00:24:42.280 Yeah, it's two counts of contempt of Congress.
00:24:47.440 One is that I failed to comply with a subpoena to testify, and one that I failed to comply with the production of documents.
00:24:58.600 Let's be very direct here.
00:25:02.460 You have charges against you, and you were arrested by the FBI on those charges.
00:25:09.860 There has never been a time in American history in which that has ever happened to a White House official and assistant to the President of the United States.
00:25:19.040 Correct?
00:25:20.520 That is absolutely correct.
00:25:22.740 And don't forget, it's an up-to-two-year prison term and $200,000 of fines.
00:25:27.500 It never happened.
00:25:28.600 We now have categorical proof that the FBI is a fully weaponized, a fully directed, armed agency of the Democratic Party.
00:25:40.340 It is that straightforward.
00:25:43.040 This is a moment in American history, and I want to make this absolutely clear as I can to the audience.
00:25:49.660 We are living in the maximum perilous moment of American history, and don't doubt it for a moment.
00:25:57.920 This is not something that is going to be—it's not going to end with Peter Navarro, I guarantee you.
00:26:05.240 This is a Democratic Party that has sworn—sworn to overturn a president and President Trump, to overthrow his government, and to overthrow the institutions that made Donald Trump possible.
00:26:20.840 And this is all about making sure Donald Trump can't run in 2024.
00:26:27.680 Absolutely.
00:26:28.700 And the three big things, Lou, that threaten our republic here, and this is why I'm fighting this,
00:26:35.120 are the weaponization of Congress's investigatory powers for judicial and partisan ends.
00:26:42.160 He can't do that.
00:26:43.160 The second biggie is the separation of powers, which goes hand-in-hand with that weaponization.
00:26:49.500 And the third one is the importance, Lou, of executive privilege and collaterally testimony immunity in really having an effective decision-making process.
00:27:01.320 And the Democrats, with the help of the Justice Department and the FBI, really want to get Trump and me, apparently, off the chessboard,
00:27:14.900 and they're willing to sacrifice, apparently, these congressional—excuse me, these constitutional issues.
00:27:21.740 And this is historical, Lou.
00:27:23.120 I mean, this is going down in the history books one way or the other.
00:27:25.780 My hope, Lou, and I've said this all along, and the reason why I fight this to the end is that we get this to the Supreme Court.
00:27:33.420 The law is on my side here, Lou.
00:27:35.500 The law is on our side on every single point I've filed in my civil suit.
00:27:40.220 The Supreme Court will look at that.
00:27:43.660 Then we'll have a ratification.
00:27:46.220 We'll have settled law on really key constitutional principles that will strengthen this republic.
00:27:51.340 If that doesn't happen and I wind up in prison, I fear for this republic.
00:27:59.840 I fear for this republic, and I fear for you, because there is no such thing as being on the right side of the law right now,
00:28:07.060 because we don't have law enforcement anywhere in the federal government.
00:28:11.060 The FBI, the Department of Justice, the Department of Homeland Security, people need to look at this with wide-open eyes at a border that is under the control of the Mexican drug cartels on both sides of it.
00:28:25.780 This administration is pro-cartel, pro-deadly drugs, pro-fentanyl, pro-sex trafficking, pro-smuggling of illegal immigrants and their distribution across our entire country,
00:28:39.420 some two million of them, in the first year and a half of the presidency, not even quite a year and a half at this point,
00:28:47.100 and arresting and putting in John Hinckley's cell.
00:28:52.520 By the way, I've got to ask you, who told you it was John Hinckley's cell?
00:28:57.640 Actually, two separate guys told me that.
00:29:00.460 They seemed to think it was, like, interesting or historical mode or something.
00:29:04.080 I mean, whatever.
00:29:04.760 It's like, think about that.
00:29:07.000 The guy who shot a president is in the same cell as the guy who helped the greatest president in modern history create a beautiful economy
00:29:17.980 and fight China and strong national security.
00:29:21.320 Somehow, what's wrong with that picture, Lou?
00:29:27.060 And the problem here, I think, if I can say this a little more granularly, the problem isn't that there's no system of justice.
00:29:35.780 There's this dual system of justice, one for people associated with Trump that just brutally punishing, shame, humiliation, this, that, and the other thing.
00:29:47.460 The other for everyone else, where it's like, come on over the border, commit a felony, walk free.
00:29:53.240 I mean, it's crazy.
00:29:54.820 The attorney for Perkins Coy, the Democratic National Committee, and Hillary Clinton campaign attorney lies and admits he lied to the FBI,
00:30:07.560 and he's acquitted in Washington, D.C., and there would be no other outcome.
00:30:14.960 So there isn't just, I know that it's popular to say the dual justice system.
00:30:21.140 There's no duality.
00:30:22.200 There's only one law enforcement tier, and that is against a law-abiding citizen, conservatives, and Republicans.
00:30:32.980 Anyone else, there is no law enforcement system at work at all in this country where that law enforcement system is under the control of the Democratic Party.
00:30:43.080 Leg irons, Lou.
00:30:47.700 Leg irons.
00:30:49.180 By the way, this is not without humor.
00:30:53.820 Like, they're walking me down to my cell.
00:30:56.260 I'm in leg irons.
00:30:57.240 The guy, like, he's going fast.
00:30:59.240 I'm thinking, dude, I'm in leg irons.
00:31:01.660 I can't keep up with you.
00:31:02.880 I couldn't keep up with you until I was 20 years old in these things.
00:31:06.240 You can only take, like, a 12-inch stride.
00:31:09.240 It's like, you've got to gallows humor, my buddy, gallows humor.
00:31:15.560 Keep that sense of humor.
00:31:17.060 It's life-sustaining, my friend, as you well know.
00:31:20.540 The book is Taking Back Trump's America.
00:31:24.040 Peter Navarro's new book, it'll be out in September.
00:31:27.500 Is that correct, Peter?
00:31:29.760 That is absolutely correct.
00:31:31.300 It's the battle cry and blueprint for taking back the White House and the House in 22.
00:31:36.760 And the subtitle is Why We Lost the White House and How We'll Win It Back.
00:31:43.120 You know, on that score, finally people are starting to recognize that President Trump was right.
00:31:49.920 2020 was rigged in so many different ways.
00:31:53.680 Give us your thoughts on how to get the White House back and how concerned are you about 2022 being a mirror image of 2020?
00:32:05.560 Lou, what we're doing as we speak in the political end is fighting hard to get Trump Republicans into the House,
00:32:17.720 but also Trump Republicans to seize the Secretary of State positions around the country through the ballot box so that we can have fair elections.
00:32:26.960 Unless we have secretaries of state like Mark Fincham in Arizona, Corolla in Michigan,
00:32:35.160 there's people running that we've got to get in there so we have the fair elections.
00:32:39.980 As long as we have absentee ballots, like, just willy-nilly without any signature match or anything like that,
00:32:47.220 we run the risk of losing it.
00:32:49.220 But the big thing, you know, the punchline, how we lost the White House, you know, the spoiler alert there,
00:32:54.860 we made it close enough to steal, right?
00:32:57.640 And what happened was, and I'll go through this in taking back Trump's America,
00:33:01.860 all the issues that came up where we could have done better.
00:33:05.400 And for me, the essence of running and winning in 2024 is running on a pure Trumpian,
00:33:12.680 populist, economic, nationalist, Lou Dobbs platform on secure borders,
00:33:18.460 on ensuring our production and manufacturing here, ending endless wars.
00:33:24.140 And if we stay true to that, if we stay true to that, Donald Trump will take the White House back in 2024,
00:33:33.520 if he runs, and I sure hope he does.
00:33:36.640 But whoever runs in 2024, if it's not Trump, that has to be the platform,
00:33:42.600 because this country, Lou, we're on the precipice here economically.
00:33:48.120 I mean, I've never seen it.
00:33:49.220 You and I went through the 70s.
00:33:50.880 You know how bad that was.
00:33:52.100 This is going to make the 70s look like it was prosperous.
00:33:56.240 And so it's just really important.
00:33:58.860 Get Pelosi the hell out of there.
00:34:01.060 Get back to governing rather than weaponizing Congress's investigatory powers.
00:34:06.500 Take back the White House.
00:34:07.840 Focus on getting our frackers back to work in Pennsylvania and North Dakota.
00:34:13.940 Sealing that border.
00:34:15.120 We've got over 2 million people coming, streaming across that border, and getting the hell out of endless wars.
00:34:21.400 So that's what it's all about, big picture.
00:34:24.540 Taking back Trump's America.
00:34:26.500 Taking back Trump's America.
00:34:28.200 That is the title of Peter's new book.
00:34:30.620 It'll be out in September, and you can order it.
00:34:33.580 Pre-order the book, and we encourage you to do so and recommend it to you highly.
00:34:37.760 Taking back Trump's America.
00:34:39.480 Why we lost the White House and how we'll win it back.
00:34:43.020 Peter Navarro knows a lot about both.
00:34:45.760 Peter, thanks for being with us.
00:34:47.240 We wish you all the best, and let's talk soon.
00:34:50.860 You're a patriot, and I'll come back and update you regularly, sir.
00:34:56.540 Thank you so much for the airtime today.
00:34:59.300 Bye-bye.
00:34:59.620 And yours as well.
00:35:00.540 Thank you, Peter.
00:35:01.000 Peter Navarro, former President Trump's special assistant.
00:35:06.980 He was in charge of the trade policy for the White House for a very long time and served the nation well.
00:35:17.160 Peter Navarro.
00:35:18.540 Peter's book, Taking Back Trump's America, is now available for pre-order.
00:35:23.640 The book is entitled, Taking Back Trump's America.
00:35:27.380 You can order it right now, and we recommend it to you highly.
00:35:31.500 Thanks, everybody, for being with us.
00:35:33.380 And Monday, our guest will be Defense Attorney Joe McBride, representing a number of January 6th defendants.
00:35:39.680 We'll be discussing the plight of all the January 6th defendants and examine why the FBI has now become the political secret police for the Marxist Dems and the Democrat Party.
00:35:51.840 That's here Monday on The Great America Show.
00:35:54.760 Please join us.
00:35:56.160 Till then, God bless you.
00:35:58.360 God bless America.
