The Great America Show - MEXICO AND CANADA BEND THE KNEE!

00:00:00.000 hello everybody and welcome to the great america show it's great to have you with us today thanks

00:00:06.720 so much for joining us promises made promises kept you're going to hear me say that for the

00:00:11.220 next four years folks president trump keeping on one of his promises yet again and no it's not the

00:00:18.240 trade war we're going to get to that in just a second well it's the democrats call it a trade

00:00:22.140 war we call it tariffs the daily mail is reporting that the u.s agency for international development

00:00:27.440 also known as usaid employees got a nasty surprise when they went to go wake up on monday morning to

00:00:34.660 go to work quote at the direction of the agency leadership the usaid headquarters at the ronald

00:00:40.100 reagan building in washington dc will be closed to agency personnel on monday february 3rd 2025

00:00:46.600 the message goes on to say agency personnel who normally work at usaid's headquarters will quote

00:00:52.860 work remotely except for the people who perform essential on-site building maintenance duties

00:00:57.600 further guidance will be forthcoming it adds in total 600 staffers are locked out overnight according

00:01:04.140 to the daily mail as of 2016 there were about 12 000 employees on its payroll so be nice to save some

00:01:12.100 money there and get these folks out of there elon musk cheering the decision yet again president trump

00:01:18.880 keeping on his promises some other promises president trump is keeping up on his marxist

00:01:24.880 dems call it a trade war we just call it good old-fashioned tariffs they were placed on as of this

00:01:30.660 morning they were went in act on saturday but going to effect this morning on canada mexico

00:01:38.380 and china except mexico found a way to wiggle themselves out of theirs and how did they do that

00:01:45.360 it's called the art of the deal the only one man who can make that happen that's president trump

00:01:51.360 mexico's president scheinbaum has pledged to put 10 000 mexican troops on the northern border of mexico

00:01:59.400 with mexico in the united states as they take a brief one month pause on the tariffs and allow marco

00:02:07.280 rubio and howard lutnik to negotiate how mexico is going to stop the free flow of drugs and cartels and

00:02:14.780 child sex trafficking and migrant sex trafficking and all the bad things they allow to come through 0.55

00:02:21.780 that southern border so we're holding off on those for a month but canada's tough guy and commander

00:02:27.860 in chief justin trudeau says he's going to stop ordering whiskeys and bourbons and anything that

00:02:35.540 comes from american red states uh because he doesn't want to give them the satisfaction of ordering

00:02:41.080 uh one of canada's provinces also uh canceling a massive contract with starlink for internet

00:02:46.180 that's fine you're only spiting yourself you're the one who's missing out on the internet so

00:02:50.220 jokes on you folks our guest today is gordon chang he's an author and a china expert i want to take

00:02:56.260 all this up with gordon the tariffs tiktok the southern border uh the deep seek ai and uh and open ai

00:03:04.320 and the race for ai so as i say gordon chang is our guest today here on the great america show

00:03:10.020 gordon it's great to have you back with us here on the great america show i want to start with

00:03:13.420 something that happened lance last week transpired last week i tried to get you on the show you were

00:03:17.460 too busy for us but we've got you here today so i want to use you while i can deep seek ai this ai

00:03:25.040 company that's competing with open ai american company that wants nothing to do with china apparently

00:03:29.680 uh last week telling us they're beating us in this race with ai undercutting us by probably 0.97

00:03:35.220 hundreds of millions of dollars they're doing so great it tanks the markets the markets rebound a day

00:03:40.600 later pretty much all for nothing i'd spoken with economist john lonsky just a day after it had

00:03:45.960 happened and i alluded to him this seems awfully similar to what we witnessed five years ago or so

00:03:53.780 with uh 5g and china's race against us in 5g with huawei you know they told us we're ahead we're ahead

00:03:59.660 we're ahead it turns out as all as usual deception from china they weren't ahead they're never ahead 0.97

00:04:05.520 everything they have is stolen from us so they have to wait for us to develop it so they can do it

00:04:09.640 your thoughts on everything that's transpired with this deep seek ai and open ai yeah i agree with your

00:04:16.340 thoughts you know deep seek is open so we can see everything it's open source and and yes they've made

00:04:24.340 advances on open ai's chat gpt but the advances are not nearly as great as they proclaim we know this

00:04:34.820 because they they did they were engaged in distilling in other words what they did was they trained their

00:04:41.140 large language model with open ai's large language model and that was in violation of open ai's terms

00:04:48.920 of service so in other words deep seek is a basically the product of view of chinese intellectual

00:04:55.280 property theft one other thing that's going on here and that is it's a little bit too convenient

00:05:01.260 that deep seek released its r1 model on january 20 i think this is largely political theater and the

00:05:09.700 reason is at the same time they released r1 the communist party was engaged in a propaganda blitz

00:05:16.700 about the futility of america's sanctions on china's ai i think that what we are seeing here is a big

00:05:24.520 propaganda campaign and so therefore i agree with you that they're not nearly as far progressed as

00:05:30.720 they say they need our ai in order to build upon theirs better put i think is they need our ai so they

00:05:38.440 can steal it from us that's right stealing because we give it to them but um open ai surprisingly enough

00:05:45.620 they literally want nothing to do with china absolutely nothing they nothing no part of their 0.92

00:05:51.260 model is mined in china i think they're probably smarter than the average people uh definitely

00:05:56.760 smarter than the folks running apple who give them everything and maybe even tesla um where are they in

00:06:02.640 the race in ai is it even a race to begin with at all well you know in one sense it's a race i mean

00:06:10.260 technology you know we're we're going to uh take back the lead very soon you know as open ai said

00:06:15.960 they're going to release some very important uh products um in the next month or so but there's one

00:06:22.820 thing that you got to be really concerned about and that is that ai it no matter what your technology is

00:06:28.520 is going to be better the more data you put into it china has been hoovering up the world's data 1.00

00:06:34.300 and that means in general their ai has a big lead on ours so that's the one concern i have you know

00:06:41.480 whether they take it and they're taking a lot of uh data and uh technology through ai and they're doing

00:06:48.240 it through tiktok and they're doing it through cyber attacks so this is i think the crux of the

00:06:54.800 concern i'm not so worried about their technology development i am worried about the data that they

00:07:01.100 have been able to take from the world now what will they what's china's end goal obviously they 1.00

00:07:07.300 have an end goal with everything they do what is their end goal with ai ours is obviously to make

00:07:13.180 people's lives a little bit easier on the work front we really haven't figured out a plan or at

00:07:18.900 least a public plan for going forward or what we'll use it for militarily militarily what is china's plan

00:07:25.340 um you know with ai what do they plan to use it for well they plan to use it for everything um and

00:07:33.200 you know the military uses it but also businesses use ai and as people say um the contest for better

00:07:40.680 ai is going to define the 21st century because it's going to lead to better and more efficient economies

00:07:47.640 going to lead to better militaries so it is really across the board interesting i want to

00:07:55.260 turn to tariffs first i want to get with the start with china we'll make our way down the list uh

00:08:01.320 china being hit with tariffs uh president trump enacted on saturday it goes into effect today

00:08:06.200 tuesday um what's your take on it i personally don't think it's enough

00:08:10.940 we've spoken time and time again gordon about all the things we owe china for uh all the deception and 0.99

00:08:18.480 destruction they've done to america um do you think president trump's starting point with the

00:08:23.940 tariffs is enough i would do more than 10 remember during the campaign starting in february of last

00:08:31.300 year he had told maria bartiromo that he was going to put tariffs on china of at least 60 and he

00:08:38.340 actually even hinted 100 and then after that he said he said it he said it and then after that

00:08:45.660 separately he said he would impose a 10 across the board tariff for fentanyl which is what he's just

00:08:51.940 done so really what he has said was the tariffs on china should be at least 70 percent right now

00:08:58.860 they're about 35 so he's halfway there and i agree with you this is not enough because this is not

00:09:06.240 going to change china's behavior you need to have far higher tariffs on china in order to have any hope 1.00

00:09:12.880 of getting xi jinping to move in better directions which is difficult enough in the best of days 0.96

00:09:18.020 but a 35 tariff that ain't going to do it yeah china says they're going to react in kind issuing a

00:09:25.620 message uh saying this is a quote serious violation of international trade rules the chinese government

00:09:32.080 signaled its intention to respond with unspecified countermeasures while challenging the tariffs at the

00:09:37.980 world trade organization who knows what china's going to do are they going to unleash another 1.00

00:09:41.460 maybe china virus on us as a retaliation measure i mean the scary thing is is the possibilities are

00:09:48.040 endless them putting tariffs on things from us would make i don't think any sort of difference at all

00:09:53.320 certainly not as bad as canada which we'll talk about a little bit and mexico on us um what can

00:10:00.280 china possibly do as a retaliation i'm only half kidding about them unleashing another china virus 2.0 1.00

00:10:07.680 we've spoken about this as well i'm as far as i'm concerned they did it on purpose and they released

00:10:12.900 it on purpose what kind of retaliated retaliatory measures could xi jinping do to america you know

00:10:20.040 just these little fraction of a tariffs that we're expecting from president trump basically not anything

00:10:27.060 or not anything meaningful and the reason john is that uh trade surplus countries have very little

00:10:34.000 ammunition against trade deficit ones right and we run these persistent and large deficits with china

00:10:40.600 so yeah there's things china can do there's things that china has done they've imposed for instance

00:10:45.560 an export embargo on certain rare earth minerals they've sanctioned some u.s companies for selling stuff

00:10:52.160 to taiwan really minor things that don't affect us they're not meaningful and at the end of the day

00:10:58.520 when you have an economy like china's which is trade dependent really their threats are hollow 0.91

00:11:04.720 and they're us especially hollow in this circumstance xi jinping has turned his back on consumption

00:11:10.820 as the foundation of the chinese economy that means his only way of rescuing his economy is to export more

00:11:18.000 which means he's put his fate in our hands that means the future of the communist party is going to be determined

00:11:24.700 not in beijing but in places like brussels tokyo and washington so we should take advantage of this

00:11:32.440 leverage because right now he's at our mercy yeah and what a lot of people don't realize is china

00:11:39.100 literally imports i mean everything they have uh their food i they don't produce any food is that

00:11:45.060 correct their coal their their oils everything they have nothing yeah they're not self-sufficient in food

00:11:50.780 i mean in an emergency they could get by um but they essentially their their food self-sufficiency

00:11:57.000 ratio is like about 93 and it's dropping um so yeah they do need to do this and that's one of the

00:12:04.620 reasons why xi jinping has been hoarding grain and stockpiling it because he realizes that that's a

00:12:10.220 vulnerability for him the other issue too gordon you i want your thoughts on this is eventually i think

00:12:16.900 the chinese people if they haven't had enough already uh of the situation they're currently

00:12:23.260 living in under xi jinping do you think we maybe see the next year two three years the chinese people 1.00

00:12:30.580 have enough of xi jinping and some sort of revolt in that country we're seeing it across the board 1.00

00:12:36.260 we saw in 2020 americans were tired they they were tired of being lied to by a government they

00:12:42.520 believed an election was stolen they revolted you saw it in venezuela an election was stolen by

00:12:48.340 nicolas maduro uh the people revolted there it's a little bit different um do you think the chinese

00:12:54.820 people it's possible for them to have enough and maybe have a an overthrowing of xi jinping 0.92

00:13:00.220 it's always possible john um because the chinese people are volatile and this is not just under 1.00

00:13:06.960 communism this goes back through millennia of chinese history that the chinese people can be

00:13:11.840 quiet for very long periods and then all of a sudden and unpredictably explode now they did

00:13:17.600 that in october 2022 there were protests across china over various things it started over covet

00:13:23.340 lockdowns and just continued over other things um and and then it died away um the communist party is

00:13:30.280 very good at um ending protests but we also know that the chinese people right now are not happy 0.99

00:13:38.120 they're gloomy they're pessimistic that sort of helps the communist party because when people are

00:13:43.280 pessimistic they generally don't revolt but every once in a while throughout chinese history a spark

00:13:48.740 occurs people get hope and they take to the streets so yeah anything can happen and one thing we know 0.98

00:13:54.700 because xi jinping spends so much on domestic security more than on the people's liberation army

00:13:59.740 we know that he's definitely concerned about what the chinese people might do because right now with

00:14:06.060 the economy failing they are not happy yeah there's been a lot of people who have been very hawkish on

00:14:12.460 china's moves as to if they're going to take taiwan if they're going to take the philippines or where

00:14:17.480 they're going to go next to me it seems right now is xi jinping's got so many things going wrong

00:14:22.560 he doesn't have his buddies russia because russia is fighting their own war with ukraine uh russia's

00:14:28.420 turned out to be not as strong as we they believe we believe they were it turns out they didn't have

00:14:33.360 the force that we believe they had it turns out they didn't have the equipment we believe they had

00:14:37.120 they can't defeat ukraine as they promised who knows what's going on there the truth about what's

00:14:43.060 going on there um do you think xi jinping still has his eyes set on taiwan and how could he possible

00:14:51.120 or philippines and how could he possibly do it with all that's going on right now it seems he's he's got

00:14:57.900 like this submarine that's got pinholes all in it and any moment one of them is going to open up and

00:15:03.780 just explode or implode yeah well you know it does he have his eye on taiwan the answer to that is yes

00:15:11.360 because he's based his personal legitimacy on annexing taiwan but i agree with you that taiwan

00:15:17.560 is he's probably not going to invade i worry a lot of things about china i don't worry about him

00:15:23.440 starting hostilities with an invasion of the main island of taiwan and there are a lot of reasons

00:15:27.920 for that one of them right now is that the chinese military appears to be in quiet revolt against

00:15:34.240 xi jinping we know this because military propaganda organs have been promoting and praising collective

00:15:41.780 leadership quote unquote that phrase is a direct criticism of xi's style of governance of rule and so

00:15:50.780 we know that they're not happy and there are even reports which i don't know if i believe them or not

00:15:56.620 but there are reports that c has lost a lot of his authority over the military um so that is that

00:16:04.900 actually fits in with some things that we've been observing over the last 18 months the thing is

00:16:09.960 you're right it's a mess there are pinholes in the submarine and any one of them could become the leak

00:16:17.140 that uh that takes the sub down yeah and that's just my assertion of it but you you're far more

00:16:24.980 well versed in this than i am that's just the way i see it as a layman from the outside you know that

00:16:29.700 there's really no possible way he's got nobody who's got his back right now it's like the kid on the

00:16:34.660 playground who's ready to start a fight with 10 guys and he turns around he's got you know nobody

00:16:39.180 there uh looking to help him i want to take a quick break here gordon when we return i want to talk

00:16:43.660 about marco rubio put to the first his first test as secretary of state my in my opinion is doing a

00:16:50.000 pretty good job so far uh it seems like everybody in the trump administration whether they liked it or

00:16:55.120 not is is hard at work already whether you're sean duffy or howard lutnik and uh uh marco rubio

00:17:01.740 down the list of all these folks who are hard at work i want to take up that i want to take up

00:17:05.720 tick tock i want to take up the tariffs on canada that are going into effect on tuesday and i want to

00:17:11.780 take up the southern border we're coming right back with gordon chang stay with us 1.00

00:18:04.820 to take advantage of our first ever mega sale but wait remember that 75 free shipping rule

00:18:11.020 well that ship is sale because right now every order ships absolutely free

00:18:16.460 folks we're back we're talking with gordon chang china expert and brilliant author

00:18:22.900 gordon i want to turn to tiktok they have what is it 70 days now 70 days from the ban that was

00:18:30.320 supposed to happen to sell the company what do you think ultimately winds up happening with tiktok

00:18:36.080 the the thing the strange part about it is it's going to be sold but it won't be sold with the

00:18:40.540 algorithm essentially you're selling it for the name with no algorithm behind it it's worth absolutely

00:18:46.080 nothing is that correct that's correct um and we should uh you know the sale has to include the

00:18:52.800 algorithm right um the algorithm is used by china to promote its narratives in other words propaganda

00:18:59.280 but it's also been used to promote illicit drug use in the u.s self-harm it's being used to foment

00:19:06.720 violence on american streets which is an act of war um and we have every right to expropriate that

00:19:12.640 algorithm which means that we you know we can't take it from china but we can use it without china's 1.00

00:19:18.160 permission now the algorithm is something that changes all the time which means we won't get the

00:19:23.460 updates but we can get the basic algorithm um and this is something that we absolutely have to

00:19:29.260 do so i'm not in favor of any sale that for instance leaves china in possession of any ownership

00:19:35.420 interest in tiktok and i'm not interested in any sale that uh does not include the rights to the

00:19:41.120 algorithm i'm not in favor of any sale period you know and i'll tell you why it's like making a deal

00:19:47.460 with the devil gordon you're forking over however much money they're going to get for this thing or

00:19:51.760 whatever they want it seems it's like a drug and a drug addict's willing to pay whatever the amount

00:19:56.540 of money they they need to to get their fix how do we trust china to act in good faith i mean how do

00:20:02.500 we know they'll actually sell the thing completely how do we know they're not going to still somehow

00:20:06.140 monitor the program and still spy on us anyway well if if we actually control the data then they can't

00:20:13.100 steal the data um that we can manage um the thing about tiktok is that um it has been used to steal

00:20:22.500 data um i mean in enormous amounts of data as we mentioned because that goes into um their

00:20:28.700 algorithms back home for ai um but we can do this i mean india shut it down um we can shut it down too

00:20:36.440 um if it's owned 100 by an american company i'm i'm okay with that but um right now that's not what

00:20:43.760 trump's talking about trump's talking about a 50 50 joint venture which to me is just completely

00:20:49.200 unacceptable yeah yeah i mean we we yell at china for doing the same exact thing that 1.00

00:20:55.360 we're eventually now going to do i don't think the government has any business being in the social

00:21:00.360 media business uh oh absolutely absolutely the u.s government should not own anything if it's owned

00:21:06.600 by an american or a canadian kevin o'leary mr wonderful is canadian um it's got to be private

00:21:12.160 and yeah i agree with you you know big media companies they have been mining data but they're private

00:21:17.620 that's the big difference in china um tiktok although nominally private all of that information

00:21:23.240 goes to the communist party and to the chinese military so there's a critical difference there

00:21:28.660 yeah you know the thing it's really just annoys me is america has the smartest innovators i think in

00:21:35.560 the world uh tech guys the smartest tech guys in the world there's no silicon valley in china there's

00:21:40.640 no silicon valley in india there's no silicon valley in russia uh we are the innovators when it comes to

00:21:46.740 tech uh we've built facebook american uh twitter was built by an american instagram obviously now

00:21:53.940 facebook whatsapp oh you know all the social media companies we shouldn't be sitting here offering up 0.98

00:21:59.500 150 200 billion dollars to the ccp uh for for a stupid program i think that president trump should 0.97

00:22:07.180 have let the band sit down the election was over he won the election some people say tiktok helped 0.98

00:22:12.400 him the election i mean that's neither here nor there it's over right the election's over the way

00:22:17.560 i see it is there's people who need to make money there's people on a payroll that need to make money

00:22:21.200 off this deal president trump should have let this thing expire uh should have let this thing go by

00:22:25.800 the wayside and you know what gordon in two weeks in three weeks americans would have forgotten

00:22:30.000 about it anyway and they would have been back on facebook or instagram well you know i agree with you

00:22:34.800 on that i mean um i think that the 75 day order to the attorney general not to enforce the law was

00:22:41.300 wrong um and matter of fact you know if if trump had not issued that then the chinese would have sold

00:22:47.960 tiktok for very little because it would have become almost i wouldn't say almost worthless but the point is

00:22:53.740 once that ban was in place tiktok's value was erode by the day and you know he trump's supposed to be

00:23:01.860 art of the deal well the art of the deal is you put maximum pressure on the other party and that

00:23:07.480 could have occurred um but yeah you know the other thing is we had every right to expropriate without

00:23:13.900 compensation tiktok because china used that as in an act of war against the united states they committed

00:23:20.240 a federal crime for promoting and fomenting violence on american street through tiktok videos

00:23:25.540 that's that to me should have been the end of the conversation then we should have just taken it

00:23:31.160 confiscated without compensation yeah and somehow we've we've got a full three uh 180 degree turn

00:23:37.860 on it it's uh truly perplexing to me that we find ourselves in this situation again where we're you

00:23:45.160 know at the dinner table with the devil and the devil is china make no mistake about it uh speaking of 1.00

00:23:50.480 china marco rubio was in the panama well he's in panama not quite at the canal but that was the purpose

00:23:56.280 of the visit meeting with the panamanian president uh panama is reportedly exiting china's belt and

00:24:02.280 road initiative uh that they were set to uh renew on after marco rubio singles uh single visit down

00:24:09.440 there what does this mean and for marco rubio's negotiating power speaking of the art of the deal

00:24:14.240 what does it mean for america in regards to panama and china in regards to panama well it's a good start

00:24:20.900 um but there's a lot more that we need to do to get china out of the canal zone because you know as 0.99

00:24:26.640 everyone talks about they've got port operations at both ends of the canal um and that allows them

00:24:33.300 to use those operations plus others in the canal zone to choke off that vital waterway so we need

00:24:40.400 to get american port operators there we need to get american businesses there we need to get the chinese 1.00

00:24:45.740 out that's a long-term process but at least we're starting to move in the right direction

00:24:50.480 because china has the ability to choke off that waterway in times of war and as secretary of

00:24:58.440 state rubio said he has quote unquote zero doubt that the chinese have contingency plans to do that

00:25:04.840 how do you think china responds to this now uh they're going to huff and puff um they're very 0.92

00:25:12.160 influential in panama um for a number of reasons uh especially uh they got a lot of leverage over

00:25:19.240 president molino we're just going to have to fight there um day in day out and i'll give you one

00:25:24.960 other thing which um people don't talk about but but the great war correspondent michael yawn is

00:25:31.020 reporting that the chinese are building a road through the darien gap the darien gap is 70 miles

00:25:37.420 of jungle that separates central america from south america it is the route that migrants have to take 1.00

00:25:43.780 if they're coming up from central america and using the land route and if the chinese are able to 0.95

00:25:50.160 build a road through the darien gap it's going to facilitate migration into the united states the

00:25:55.740 chinese are building the road for that purpose so we need to stop the construction of that road 1.00

00:26:02.820 it's funny i spoke to my called my father yesterday he obviously listens to you every single day that he

00:26:08.360 possibly can and he said the exact same thing that you just said to me so i got the preview from him

00:26:14.020 um that's another thing gordon that just totally perplexes me is president trump knows that this is

00:26:21.600 what china is doing there's a goal in everything they do fentanyl is to get americans hooked and 0.92

00:26:26.800 become drug addicts and kill off a population and then laugh in our faces and say look you know we

00:26:31.780 don't need to stop our fentanyl flow you need to stop the drug addicts you have in your country 0.99

00:26:35.620 why are we sitting back and letting them do this i mean they're doing it right in front of our faces

00:26:40.700 it's just like uh you know the catholic charities the red cross fuels these migrants to come to this 1.00

00:26:46.400 country and then when they get here they protect them and they help them get them in here how do we

00:26:50.280 let this happen right in front of our eyes gordon i think it's because no president of the united

00:26:55.880 states since eisenhower has told the american people that china is not a competitor it's not merely an

00:27:02.520 adversary it is an enemy it is preparing for war it is preparing to destroy the united states 0.72

00:27:07.760 and we need to start mobilizing ourselves and we need president trump to say that

00:27:12.920 this is really important because until the american people get it american people are not going to take

00:27:20.200 those measures that are necessary to defend ourselves and although we're a far stronger country than china

00:27:25.320 we can lose our country because we're not protecting ourselves because we don't know

00:27:30.280 about what our enemies are doing this is just like in the pre-9-11 period this is just like pre-pearl

00:27:37.600 harbor we americans are not paying attention to what our enemies are actually telling us

00:27:43.640 what is it going to take for president trump to heed to that warning i know when lou was alive

00:27:50.240 lou was you know very vocal on the china issue you and lou spoke very often on it and uh you know lou

00:27:57.980 sort of had president trump's ear on it and would you know tell him the things he wanted to hear and

00:28:01.980 the things he didn't want to hear uh you don't have very many people like the great lou dobbs anymore

00:28:07.340 who are willing to tell the president the truth whether he likes it or not what's it going to take

00:28:13.360 for president trump to heed the warnings and like i you know like i said before and i hope i'm wrong

00:28:19.360 and this china virus 2.0 something to that effect where china unreally you know unleashes something 0.96

00:28:25.960 else on the world as another accident well first of all we need lou dobbs because there's nobody

00:28:33.260 could replace lou um and so you know it is it's been my honor and lydia's honor to have known him

00:28:41.760 on your point about disease 2.0 we know the chinese are working on what they call specific

00:28:48.660 ethnic genetic attacks in other words attacks by pathogens that will leave the chinese immune and

00:28:53.760 kill everybody else we know at this moment that they are working on ebola ebola in nature has a 50

00:29:01.040 percent fatality rate but the good thing about ebola's pathogen is that it's not very transmissible 0.56

00:29:08.380 if the chinese can increase the lethality rate or more important if they increase its transmissibility 1.00

00:29:13.960 they have a weapon that can kill the american people exterminate the american people i mention 0.62

00:29:20.760 ebola because at that lab in readley california the secret chinese biological weapons facility that 0.88

00:29:26.780 that alert building inspector found in december 2022 they had quote at least 20 pathogens inside

00:29:33.480 and one of those pathogens was the one for ebola so i mean is this i mean you know this gordon uh

00:29:44.120 there's other people who know this is going on does president trump know this i mean do the american

00:29:48.400 people know this that this may be something else that's in the woodwork i mean the first one hit us

00:29:54.420 by surprise but we should never be surprised again by the by what can happen now i'm not saying

00:30:00.260 government shutdowns and all that good stuff because i don't think the american people ever stand

00:30:03.440 for that once again after we learned what we learned from dr anthony falchi and the the troll

00:30:08.440 the level of trolling they did to us but i mean what does this mean to president trump does this does

00:30:14.380 he heed the warning and uh maybe get a head start on it you know i hope so you know if we go back to

00:30:21.460 february 2020 everyone said that trump was a shoo-in for re-election um and the reason he didn't

00:30:28.580 get re-elected is trying to use tiktok against him by the way but also because of the pandemic

00:30:34.820 um it just roiled american politics so i hope that president trump understands that i hope that he

00:30:41.340 understands the maliciousness of the chinese system um i don't like it when i hear him say good things 1.00

00:30:48.000 about xi jinping i don't like it when they hear from his people that he wants to go to china within 0.54

00:30:53.680 the first hundred days of his term this is not a good thing we need to start defending ourselves

00:30:59.820 um but anyway we need lou dobbs you you're preaching the choir i couldn't agree with you more

00:31:07.220 you know i had a friend who worked for president trump in the first administration and they did a

00:31:11.900 diplomatic i some sort of diplomatic trip in the first term i don't know if you remember or not

00:31:16.560 but they did a diplomatic trip and my buddy was over there and he had mentioned some weird something

00:31:21.800 weird to me and they figured it out obviously at the end they stayed in this hotel and every hotel

00:31:27.500 there was a hotel room and then a room next door on each side and each rooms next door were empty

00:31:31.880 and it would skip a room skip a room they were spying through each rooms on the side he came back and

00:31:37.260 they gave him he gave his cell phone and his cell phone was encrypted with spyware data and millions and

00:31:43.020 millions of like viruses where they could try this is who the chinese people are and president trump's ready 0.94

00:31:47.740 to go over there and get on a plane and meet with these people to just i mean compromise america it's

00:31:53.580 so mind-blowing to me uh that he'd want to do such a thing well you know what what is his is is tie to

00:31:59.940 china and why does he care to be friends with them so much you know i have i've got friends who are not in

00:32:06.380 the administration but who are friends with people in the administration and they say that trump knows

00:32:12.320 what's going on he is confronting china and he's doing it in his unconventional way sort of like a 0.96

00:32:19.020 jedi mind trick i hope that's the case um and i can see signs that that is the case but as we've talked

00:32:26.700 about with tiktok i've seen him flop on things that he shouldn't be flopping on so you know we just take

00:32:32.740 this day by day and um we keep on pressuring the administration to not do those things which are

00:32:39.100 not in our interest which is the reason why your show is so important yeah and people like you are

00:32:44.660 very important gordon i want to take one more quick break here when we return i want to take up the

00:32:48.580 tariffs on canada uh the southern border and how this all plays out the markets aren't really liking

00:32:55.000 it right now but they're i think uh getting used to it they should be used to it after the first term but

00:33:00.560 uh the markets i guess are never used to anything we're coming right back with gordon chang stay with us

00:33:04.960 i'm excited to announce that we're having our first ever mega sale on overstock clearance and

00:33:55.260 advantage of our first ever mega sale but wait remember that 75 free shipping rule well that ship

00:34:01.940 is sale because right now every order ships absolutely free folks we're back we're talking

00:34:09.920 with gordon chang a brilliant author china expert uh happens to be an attorney too gordon once once an

00:34:17.040 attorney no longer you're in a better place now i think right gordon i want to turn to uh these tariffs

00:34:24.900 president trump put into effect on saturday they go into effect today tuesday uh on china we spoke

00:34:31.920 about but canada and mexico trudeau's playing tough guy but he finds himself in a very tough position he

00:34:39.180 wanted to do some sort of covet style bailouts which he can't do because of the way the legislature

00:34:44.220 structured and he said he's stepping down until sometime in march so he's sort of handcuffed his

00:34:49.540 people have already turned on him they're turning on him even more now uh he wants to play hard

00:34:54.560 bowl let's start with him first and then we'll get down to shine bomb in mexico how does this play out

00:34:59.640 for for uh trudeau i mean big tough guy trudeau he's going to learn uh hard and fast we don't need him

00:35:07.920 as much as he needs us yeah that's for sure because uh canada runs persistent trade surpluses against the

00:35:14.960 united states the u.s economy is something like what 13 14 times larger than canada's and like he has what

00:35:23.960 87 or so percent of his exports go to the u.s he's just out of ammunition when it comes to the u.s

00:35:31.480 and you know a lot of people say well we shouldn't be having a trade war with our you know border

00:35:37.000 country to the north but we got to remember that trudeau has allowed china to use canadian soil

00:35:43.640 for assaults on the united states and you know administration and administration out in washington

00:35:49.820 has been talking to canada about all of these problems and they never do anything they have just

00:35:55.900 been um allowing this to continue so somebody had to do something you know people may not like tariffs

00:36:01.680 on canada but the point is we had to get their attention just give you one example the number

00:36:08.180 of migrants coming into the united states from mexico far exceeds the number of migrants coming

00:36:13.300 in from canada but the number of apprehensions of people on the terror watch list from canada is about

00:36:20.780 three times greater than the apprehensions of terror watch list suspects from mexico dangerous elements

00:36:28.940 have understood that they can use the undefended northern border to get into the united states

00:36:35.560 canada knows what's going on and doesn't do anything about it canada's allowed the chinese 1.00

00:36:41.020 to take over large portions of the canadian political system the canadian banking system

00:36:46.100 is a haven for money launderers because ottawa doesn't enforce rules something had to happen

00:36:53.020 and i'm glad that president trump took action because whether you know you like tariffs or

00:36:58.820 not something had to be done president trump putting out the following truth social message

00:37:06.280 just a few hours ago quote canada doesn't even allow u.s banks to open or do business there

00:37:12.440 what's that all about many such bad things but it's also a drug war and hundreds of thousands of people

00:37:17.300 have died in the u.s from drugs pouring through the borders of mexico and canada just spoke with

00:37:22.560 justin trudeau we'll be speaking with him again soon you know it's a war he can't win gordon

00:37:28.200 i mean there's no possible way he wins and it's not even about saving face anymore because there's

00:37:33.940 no face to save he's resigned he's leaving office embarrassed as hell president trump another one 0.81

00:37:41.500 another one who tried to go up against president trump and learned that it doesn't end well when

00:37:46.720 you try to go up against donald trump i can't think of one person and you correct me if i'm wrong please

00:37:51.940 who's went up against president trump in any aspect any form those 16 against him in 26 and has come

00:37:59.360 out on top can you think of one no why does justin trudeau think he's going to be the first

00:38:05.260 you know you had the president of columbia back down last week um you have claudia scheinbaum

00:38:11.000 the mexican president um signaling that she wants to come you know to do what trump wants to seal the

00:38:17.560 border justin trudeau is is in a difficult position he said that he was going to resign he hasn't

00:38:23.200 resigned what he's done is he's taken parliament and prorogued it in other words it's now not in

00:38:29.860 session won't be in session until i think march 27th yeah he can't um he's running the country himself

00:38:36.300 and i think he's trying to use this crisis to stay in power not very likely for him to do that

00:38:42.500 but justin trudeau is can take canada down just because he doesn't want to do what the canadian

00:38:48.600 people want him to do which is to step down you know that's that's got to be the most embarrassing

00:38:54.620 thing gordon in the world first of all they owe the democrats often talk about dictators he's a

00:39:00.140 dictator uh clearly uh by everything you just described um but it's crazy that people from his own

00:39:07.960 country are in favor of these tariffs against him and their own country how bad has it gotten for

00:39:14.400 the people of canada you know i always use the canadian health care system as an example i know

00:39:19.480 people of health care up in canada who wait weeks and months to see a doctor but it's free it's free

00:39:25.340 i don't have to pay i don't have to pay to go to the doctor okay but how long does it take you to see

00:39:30.340 the doctor and why are so many of your people coming down to america i have a very close family friend

00:39:36.060 it's a very sad story but the man has cancer he has to come to america for treatments because it's

00:39:42.580 so bad in canada and that's what the american people parade like it's such a good thing whereas

00:39:47.840 you've got the canadian people saying the americans are right i it's so asked backwards gordon but

00:39:53.040 it's just hysterical to watch yeah um for everything except for emergency care um what you say about the

00:40:01.320 canadian health care system is absolutely right you have canadians going south you do not have 0.70

00:40:05.460 americans going north and there's a reason for that um because you can wait months for routine

00:40:12.920 care in canada except an emergency emergency they're they're great but um otherwise you're

00:40:19.540 absolutely right about that and by the way they can afford that because they don't have a military

00:40:23.280 they don't have a military because they just sort of take us for granted um as a number of senior

00:40:29.600 canadian politicians have said the u.s is no longer going to allow us us canadians to take advantage of

00:40:36.620 the americans they understand that and they know they've taken us for granted and they know that it

00:40:41.620 can't last by the way you know i'm sure they do have very good emergency service but so do we gordon

00:40:47.300 you can be an illegal alien walk right into the emergency room and come on in i go into the emergency 0.84

00:40:53.260 room gordon where's your health care where's your card what insurance do you have is a blue cross blue

00:40:58.280 shield uh if you don't have it get out of here you know it's like is this america word or is this

00:41:03.820 like some third world country i want to turn to the the southern border you mentioned shine bomb uh

00:41:10.140 folding cheaper than a lawn chair uh sending 10 000 troops scored into the to the border of a mexico

00:41:17.180 and america now i don't know if i necessarily believe it to be true because i saw on twitter a video

00:41:22.260 you may have seen this of the mexican military it's not the mexican military though it's the cartels

00:41:27.860 gordon they're in tanks they have machine guns it's a minute long video of someone taking it

00:41:32.880 pretty much saying you come for us we're gonna we're gonna come after you and i go into the further

00:41:37.940 into the post and i'm reading the surface to air uh combatants we can't send in drones because they

00:41:44.060 have anti-drone technology presumably this is all come from china because it's not come from us

00:41:50.080 it's not like we left stuff behind in afghanistan or anything like that but we haven't been in a war in

00:41:55.820 mexico to do that even though i'm sure we would what's going on with that yeah the cartels certainly

00:42:01.880 control the northern border of mexico um and they actually operate in the united states and during

00:42:07.620 the biden administration they took over um crime in a number of american cities and we got to remember

00:42:14.120 that um on fentanyl trade you got chinese technicians mixing chinese precursor chemicals

00:42:20.620 um in the northern part of mexico because there's two uh cartels that uh control the fentanyl trade

00:42:27.200 and so this is a joint cartel china project and you know the cartels and china are not going to easily 0.60

00:42:34.480 give up the northern border of mexico so we're going to have to take it back and i agree with you

00:42:41.480 you know this is going to be more than just a one month thing um the um this is going to be a long

00:42:47.960 drag drawn out fight but the important thing is we're starting to do something about it during the

00:42:54.080 biden administration biden's actions strengthen the cartels by putting tens of millions if not

00:43:00.200 hundreds of millions of dollars into the pockets of cart of cartel members so they can afford those

00:43:05.560 um those um surface-to-air missiles and those fighting vehicles that they have i mean this is

00:43:12.500 paid for by americans unfortunately we could agree to disagree with president trump on some of it and

00:43:18.760 you and i are certainly on the same side of it of it with president trump when it comes to china and

00:43:23.780 hopefully he'll come around but you know i always say i agree with president trump on 99.9 percent of

00:43:28.780 things and you know the china thing is one that that has really annoyed me and pissed me off and i'm

00:43:33.760 sure it's pissed you off too but hopefully he does come around on it the border there there's nothing to

00:43:39.880 you know to talk about there president trump i can't imagine i you know i i figured he was going

00:43:46.460 to come back and he was going to you know start slow and get things rolling we're here in guantanamo

00:43:51.120 bay maybe alcatraz or some of these people we we're hearing ice uh down the streets even in new york

00:43:56.960 i had a buddy call me the other day owns a restaurant and he says they're in new york and i said that's

00:44:01.640 excellent he goes that's not excellent i'm gonna lose my whole kitchen staff i said well they did they

00:44:05.620 commit any sort of crimes and uh and he said i don't know that's not the point i'm gonna lose my

00:44:10.820 kitchen staff and i'm gonna have to go back to work i said then so be it you know we saw the other

00:44:16.260 day gordon these folks in la shutting down the freeway saying we're not criminals but if you're

00:44:21.640 coming to the country gordon illegally even if you didn't commit a crime while you were here

00:44:24.960 you're a criminal you know you may be here working hard trying to make money for your family

00:44:29.840 you broke the law i equate it to uh me robbing a bank gordon to go uh pay for animals to be freed 0.99

00:44:37.360 and not kill the disorder house i had a good intention that i didn't want the the dogs to die

00:44:42.340 uh but i did rob the bank and i broke the law so therefore i'm a criminal you know i i really don't

00:44:49.120 know what other way to put it it's sad right we all have hearts at the end of the day but we do have

00:44:55.220 a country of law and order and borders what after president trump finishes with these violent

00:45:01.460 criminals which it seems it's about a thousand a day now that are going what is he to do about the

00:45:06.700 ones who came here and haven't committed any further crime than just being in the country 0.99

00:45:11.220 illegally yeah they're gonna you know tom holman um has said look they're they're gonna deport them

00:45:17.900 and then they should um you know and i know that it's it's heart-wrenching yeah but the problem is

00:45:23.320 that if you have a border you have to enforce it because that's sovereignty and the other thing is

00:45:28.280 that all the people who have been waiting in line legally to get into the u.s like my wife a long time

00:45:33.780 ago um you know she just followed the rules well if people want to come to the united states you know 0.99

00:45:40.720 file a legitimate asylum claim um or wait in line um what am i supposed to say we got laws we should

00:45:48.960 enforce them it's just as simple as that because we know that 99.999 percent of those asylum claims

00:45:55.580 are false they are fake asylum claims and what they do is they make it hard for people with 0.61

00:46:02.240 legitimate asylum claims to come into the country that's not good yeah it's like these migrants 1.00

00:46:10.040 think that these illegal aliens people get upset when i call them migrants it just slips my mind

00:46:15.000 they're still illegal whatever you call them right they're here illegally because they filed a false

00:46:20.840 asylum claim or they snuck across the border or whatever but they shouldn't be in our country 1.00

00:46:26.140 they think that we're the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow gordon they come here

00:46:30.100 some of them make 150 dollars some of them make 200 some of them make 250 some of them are making

00:46:35.240 more money than people who are working at large corporations working here illegally not paying taxes

00:46:40.340 we've got to figure out a way to start penalizing i spoke with a friend of ours rich valdez yesterday

00:46:46.140 we got to figure out a way to start penalizing the businesses gordon or hiring them that's that's the

00:46:51.720 only way i think you get to the root of it if you start penalizing these businesses who are hiring

00:46:56.300 these illegals i think you can crack down now you know if you make it a criminal a criminal act to 0.91

00:47:03.120 hire illegals you're probably sure if you if there's no jobs to them gordon they're not going to come to 0.98

00:47:07.640 this country that's the first part of it now the second part of it which i'm sort of in favor of is

00:47:12.360 and you and i have discussed this before about using central america and these countries to move

00:47:17.380 offshore some of our stuff that's in china whether it be textiles uh things that will never come back

00:47:22.560 to america you know you're not going to get americans making textiles it's just what it is that's fine

00:47:27.280 we'll save the jobs we'll save the corporations like carrier air conditions and save them for america jeeps

00:47:32.780 we'll bring back to america from mexico um but the things that just won't come back to america is

00:47:37.800 that americans won't do we move them down to central america and you and i have spoken about this

00:47:42.200 i think that's stage two if we can make these people's countries habitable where they can make

00:47:46.580 a decent living they'll stay in their own country because they don't want to leave at the end of the 0.99

00:47:51.400 day gordon they don't want to leave their families and their kids behind they come here because it's so

00:47:55.520 expensive to get through the southern border by themselves they leave their families behind they send money

00:47:59.460 back third you gotta i think have a ground war with these cartels i'm not in favor of war i'm not

00:48:04.820 in favor of of our military members engaging any wars but uh it's a war that needs to be fought

00:48:10.580 gordon we we have no problem going over to the middle east i say this all the time because it's so true

00:48:15.160 we have no problem going over the middle east and destabilizing the hell out of that 1.00

00:48:18.380 why don't we find a war that actually matters what's your thoughts yeah you know just uh rubio is

00:48:26.160 going to five central america five central american and caribbean countries um and you have um four of

00:48:33.540 those are members of captain tr our free trade agreement um guatemala el salvador costa rica

00:48:40.620 and the dominican republic those are the four out of the five um and clearly what we should be doing

00:48:48.220 as you say we should be encouraging country companies to manufacture in those countries stabilize them

00:48:54.860 so they won't um people won't want to come to the u.s we solve the caravan problem and we also

00:49:01.920 have our supply chains more resilient and we don't enrich china and by the way it's great for the 0.97

00:49:08.080 climate because getting products up from central america or the dominican republic a lot less carbon

00:49:13.400 in the air than transporting them across the pacific you imagine you think the democrats would go for that

00:49:19.660 if you tell them that we could offset carbon maybe we go like net zero no they won't because

00:49:24.520 even though it makes perfect sense um it doesn't do what they want to do which is to ruin our lives

00:49:31.200 at home so yes they should know about this this is no this is no secret about the amount of carbon

00:49:38.240 that those container ships put into the air but this is too simple this is too logical and it doesn't

00:49:44.560 involve enslaving the american people so of course they're you know al gore is not going to support this

00:49:50.260 yeah why would the march systems be in favor of getting americas off of drugs you know people

00:49:56.300 don't realize gordon by by doing this and stabilizing central america it kicks china i mean where it hurts

00:50:03.800 it really does because you slow down the drug trade you maybe stop it completely that cuts china makes a lot 0.88

00:50:09.960 of money off of that and not it's just money the satisfactions of watching americans die uh you know

00:50:15.520 it's a long list of everything he does to hurt china you get the last word here gordon well you

00:50:21.560 know we need lou we just need lou so you know i pray every night that he's going to come back and

00:50:29.000 sometimes i wake up in the morning and i i still have an alarm set on my phone that says call lou and

00:50:33.640 sometimes i go to pick up my phone and i still talk with his wife every single day because it

00:50:38.580 makes me uh feel closer to lou but nobody misses him more than me gordon nobody misses getting yelled at
